  1. All right, if you have your Bibles, turn over to Ephesians

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  2. chapter 1. Ephesians chapter 1.

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  3. I had someone say, wow, pastor, oh, you look so young with a

  4. hat. I said, I guess I should wear it

  5. more often. It's amazing how many people

  6. sometimes do not recognize me when I'm wearing my hat.

  7. So and I wear many hats. They're just invisible.

  8. Anyway, turn over to Ephesians chapter 1.

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  9. We're going to talk about reserve tonight and I want to

  10. start this thought process. I don't know how long we'll go

  11. with it. The Lord really was speaking to

  12. me and says, listen, I they need to know there's a reigning

  13. society again. How many believe the Lord's

  14. coming back? How many believe the Lord could

  15. come back in your lifetime? Yeah.

  16. I mean, it's, it's hot. I mean, you should believe for

  17. that, right? You should believe 'cause

  18. somebody's going to be the catching away generation.

  19. Might as well be us with all this going on.

  20. Might as well be us. But you understand the catching

  21. away society is a society or a group of people who reign in

  22. Christ. And again, Christ is not just

  23. some phrase. Again, this is a term that that

  24. churches use all the time. And again, sometimes if we don't

  25. take time to actually define what that means, then it becomes

  26. a clicheish type statement. I know Pastor Roddy and I were

  27. having a conversation. He says, you know.

  28. I'm around people all the time and I'm just have this

  29. impression. They really don't know what

  30. they're saying when they say I'm in Christ because they don't

  31. know what it means to be in Christ or what Christ actually

  32. is, which is the anointing, the anointed one in his anointing,

  33. which is in relationship to his kingship.

  34. And so when we say we're in Christ, we're really saying

  35. we're in the royal family, right?

  36. We're in his anointing that is a bestowed on him because he's

  37. king, because again in in the Bible and Luke, he said the

  38. spirit of the Lord is upon me for he has anointed me right,

  39. and that was his kingship. That's why when the father said

  40. this is my beloved son. In essence, he's communicating

  41. to the world. The King is here.

  42. That's why Jesus's message was repent, for the Kingdom of

  43. heaven is at hand. The King of the Kingdom is in

  44. your midst. Come on, how do you believe

  45. that? Amen.

  46. Hallelujah, I want some espresso hallelujahs tonight, OK, Amen.

  47. I'm I might have to roam a little bit anyway, so the Lord

  48. spoke to me and says, I want you to break down churches from the

  49. Bible because these letters that Paul wrote to the churches was

  50. to. Communicate what a reigning

  51. society looks like because again, you and I do not get to

  52. pick what it looks like. The Lord reveals what his

  53. society or believers or sons or citizens look like.

  54. I do not base anything on someone's experience or just

  55. their words. I always go back to the Word

  56. because that is the standard that is God speaking to us.

  57. So when Paul wrote to the churches, by all rights he's

  58. communicating, hey, this is the lifestyle of the Kingdom.

  59. This is how you're living now. And so we're going to jump right

  60. into Ephesians and I'll probably jump into some other of the

  61. churches as we kind of go on. But I want to take the book of

  62. Ephesus. And though I will not go line

  63. upon line, precept upon precept because I'm not A5 fold minister

  64. teacher, all right, but I am going to go through the first

  65. couple of chapters and bring out some truths concerning it.

  66. Because there is things for this reigning society that are

  67. reserved for us, right? Because the reigning society by

  68. all rights is the reigning church.

  69. Are you? Hearing me.

  70. Now you can be born again and live defeated, but that's never

  71. God's intent and the only reason why a born again believer would

  72. live defeat is because they do not renew their mind to the word

  73. they want to keep. Their thinking, which is

  74. abnormal actually behavior in the Kingdom of God.

  75. All right, so in Ephesians chapter 1, we'll start here in

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  76. verse one through 7. I'm reading out the legacy

  77. standard Bible, which is just another translation of the new

  78. American standard. They're they're just trying to

  79. be even more accurate to the original context of Scripture.

  80. But Paul greets the church. He says Paul, an apostle.

  81. Of Christ Jesus. Now I'm going to just stop right

  82. there. Paul had no problem telling the

  83. church the gift. He is in the body and he's not

  84. bragging. He's letting them know this is

  85. my gift to you. That's what he did.

  86. So again, if you find yourself struggling with people's gifts

  87. in the fivefold ministry, well, then you would have a hard time

  88. reading anything Paul writes, 'cause Paul's letting them know.

  89. Paul, an apostle of who? Christ Jesus.

  90. He puts Christ's title, his kingship, in front of his name.

  91. Then he goes on, he says, Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, what

  92. by the will of God to the Saints who are at Ephesus and who are

  93. faithful in Christ Jesus. So Paul has communicated we're a

  94. church, I am in the five fold ministry as an apostle and you

  95. are Saints within that body. I just my wife heard a minister

  96. recently make this statement and she says what do you think?

  97. About that I said, man, that is really good, she said to her and

  98. but I know the Kingdom she. Said you could liken the five

  99. fold ministry to the executive branch of government because

  100. they are specifically identified offices by the head of the

  101. church or the one who sits on the throne.

  102. And they have been given a responsibility and an anointing

  103. to function that Saints do not because are all apostles, are

  104. all prophets, are all evangelists, are all teachers

  105. are all which one did I leave out pastors?

  106. Obviously not. Most people try to leave those

  107. pastors out anyway. With that being said, they're

  108. they're that doesn't make them better than Saints.

  109. It just means they have an assignment.

  110. That's what that means. So Paul starts out, this is

  111. letter to the church. He said, now listen, I'm an

  112. apostle of Christ Jesus, not because man made this, not

  113. because I like that the you know this saying and I want you to

  114. identify no, God did this and he did this to you because you are

  115. the one that God gave me oversight.

  116. And you know what's great about these Saints is that they are

  117. faithful to Christ. Verse 2, it goes on to say grace

  118. to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus

  119. Christ. So again, he's identifying

  120. within the whole church. Guess what, we have grace.

  121. And if you're functioning in the grace that God has in your life,

  122. you're going to have peace. You'll have peace even to miss a

  123. conflict. Why?

  124. Because you will rely on the grace.

  125. That's why God told Paul in a conflict one time, he said,

  126. listen, son, my grace is. Sufficient for you?

  127. So you understand the grace in your life is sufficient for you

  128. that you can walk in perpetual peace no matter what's going on.

  129. And Pauls reminding the Church of this, that the grace they

  130. have and the peace they have not comes from their personal study

  131. or their own efforts, but it comes from God him self.

  132. And that good news? So then we get into verse three.

  133. He said blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

  134. who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly

  135. places where in Christ, in Christ.

  136. So all the spiritual blessings are located in the home country

  137. in Christ and we're blessed people.

  138. Now whether you feel it or not is irrelevant.

  139. You have an inheritance and in Christ you can access it in the

  140. King or functioning within the boundaries.

  141. We could say the word of the king.

  142. Let's put it that way. That'd be the best way to say

  143. it. When we function in the Kingdom

  144. based upon the word of the King, then all of the spiritual

  145. blessings that are are for us are made accessible to us.

  146. And again, it's not our personal effort that did it away from

  147. God. It's us in Him and acting on His

  148. word that is releasing those faith is causing it to come to

  149. pass. Verse 4.

  150. Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the

  151. world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him in love.

  152. I'm going to break this verse down here in a little bit by

  153. predestinating us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to

  154. Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will verse. 6 As

  155. to the praise. Of the glory of his grace which

  156. he graciously bestowed on us in the beloved verse 7.

  157. And then we'll come back and talk a little bit in him.

  158. We have redemption through his blood and forgiveness of our

  159. transgression, according. To the riches of his grace.

  160. So when we jump back into verse 4, you understand every

  161. spiritual blessing that is in the heavenly realm in Christ

  162. Jesus God, just as God the Father chose us in Jesus before

  163. the what foundations of the world, He chose who us.

  164. Now I want to explain this a little bit because we need to

  165. understand God's perspective of what He's saying to Paul here

  166. because Him choosing us is not based upon who we are today.

  167. What does it mean when He said He chose us in Him before the

  168. foundations of the world? In essence, how did God see man

  169. in the beginning? This is what He's saying.

  170. Many times we hear this man, He chose me.

  171. He knew what I was going to be like.

  172. He knew the mess I will be in. He knew.

  173. And yes, He did know that, but He's not looking you in that

  174. way. He's looking at you in an

  175. original intent. So when he says just as he chose

  176. us, what was he? He chose us, what we call humans

  177. or mankind. He chose us.

  178. How in him? Well, what did how did Jesus

  179. function on the planet? Jesus function as a former

  180. individual. OK, Jesus is considered the last

  181. Adam. Are you hearing me?

  182. Every miracle Jesus performed was in the dominion.

  183. Adam lost. Adam was given the same mandate

  184. that Jesus has. In this context.

  185. Just obey. All this is yours.

  186. Just obey. We have a relationship through

  187. our your obedience. You're in my nature.

  188. Come on, let's look at it. You I know you know where it's

  189. at, but let's read it again in Genesis 126 to 27 says then God

  190. said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness

  191. so that they may have dominion over the fish of the sea, over

  192. the birds of the sky, over the cattle, over all the earth and

  193. every every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

  194. Yes, Lord, I'll say that. And he created man in his own

  195. image, in the image of God. He created him male and female.

  196. He created them. The Lord just said to me, he

  197. said, you know how many people do not believe that verse?

  198. And the reason they don't believe that verse is because

  199. they do not take dominion over all these things in their life

  200. as a new believer. And it doesn't matter how many

  201. times I read it, if you let anything have dominion over you,

  202. you do not get Genesis 126. If you let your emotions have

  203. dominion over you, if you let your feelings have emotion

  204. dominion over you, let plants have dominion over you, you let

  205. you know things. Rule you things on the outside.

  206. Stress as if all kinds of things that are out there, If they are

  207. ruling you, you do not yet have the revelation.

  208. And as many times as we read this, we'll say Hallelujah, and

  209. then all of a sudden something will come and we'll let it

  210. dominate us. We'll let it rule us.

  211. And how do we know real 'cause we follow it.

  212. You follow it. So here God in the book of

  213. beginning says, let us make man in our image and his likeness,

  214. which tells us even before this event, before the foundations of

  215. the world. OK, thank you, Jesus.

  216. This is what I love about, I have to admit.

  217. This is what I love about having a Bible app that has all the,

  218. you know, concordances in it because you can just go straight

  219. there, OK? Before the foundations of the

  220. world, OK. God chose us in Him.

  221. This word world is the same world used in John 316 for God

  222. so loved the world. It's the word cosmos.

  223. OK, we we it's not planet as much as it is systems.

  224. So before the 1st systems of the man, which man had dominion over

  225. the systems of the world before they get into play, God has

  226. already chose him, chose us in Christ.

  227. So before man has the ability to start functioning in his

  228. dominion, the Lord has already chosen him in Christ, which

  229. tells us this, and I'm going to read from a particular scholar.

  230. He said it this way. He says the eternity of the plan

  231. suggests another thought in verse 4.

  232. It is this salvation is an original thought and resolution

  233. it and resolution it is no novel expedient struck out of the in

  234. the fruit. Futility of divine ingenuity.

  235. But God's first purpose in regard to man had failed through

  236. man's apostasy, meaning it is no.

  237. Afterthought, but the embodiment of a design which, foreseeing

  238. our ruin, had made preparation of it.

  239. Meaning, even though, and we say this all, where would Adam be if

  240. he had never eaten the fruit? However, because God is all

  241. knowing, He already knows. Even though I've made man and I

  242. in my image and according to my likeness, and if he will just in

  243. a sinless state, no sin, His body is glorified.

  244. His mind has never been polluted by one wrong thought, never

  245. acted on it, never had any of those things.

  246. His spirit man is directly connected to God.

  247. God can come from his realm of heaven into the earth.

  248. There is no issue for them to commune.

  249. He does not run from him, He does not hide from him.

  250. He is in a perfect state, yet God knew and he was prepared

  251. before he communicated, which tells us this.

  252. When God said this is my design for man, he already had the plan

  253. of salvation. Now why?

  254. Because God is obligated to fulfill his own word.

  255. He's he's obligated So God doesn't just say things and then

  256. like, oh, he ate the fruit. Now what am I going to do?

  257. Listen, before God even speaks, he's already calculated

  258. everything that he will have to do to fulfill everything he

  259. says, especially when it came to man.

  260. Because at this point, as far as beings are concerned, and when I

  261. say beings, I'm talking spirit beings, man's redeemable, the

  262. angelic host that fell are not. Don't pray for Lucifer.

  263. He'll never get saved. He can't and he has no desire

  264. and none of the ones that fell with him.

  265. So all the demonic spirits don't try.

  266. Don't have compassion for them. There is no such thing as

  267. compassion for them. And if you felt like I want to

  268. have compassion, I'll understand why God.

  269. Then you're trying to make yourself a God, and you're

  270. already off because you're not righteous, holy, just like God

  271. who always fulfills his word. So when God says I'm going to

  272. speak man, he already knows it will cost me my son.

  273. So the minute I say let us make man in our images according to

  274. our likeness, and let them have dominion, I know that my first

  275. son Adam is going to disobey my word, which in Acts I must keep

  276. that word. If you eat the fruit, you die,

  277. because the wages of sin is so it has to be fulfilled.

  278. And the Lord says, however, I want man to have dominion.

  279. So I'll put my son in a suit as a man, because my first son will

  280. lose the dominion as a man. I'll come in the earth with my

  281. son as a man. He'll get the dominion back and

  282. pay the price for everything my word requires to satisfy death.

  283. That way man can come off of eternal death and use the road

  284. of mercy. To connect him back to the

  285. original thought of man and that is to have dominion.

  286. Hallelujah, come on, Hallelujah that God.

  287. God is so thought out that he already took into account every

  288. sin that ever would be committed and the price required, which is

  289. eternal separation. And he says I'll pay every price

  290. with my son. So before the foundations of the

  291. world, before this system starts rolling, God says man's pathway

  292. will be back through Christ. And he chose us.

  293. Who did he choose? He chose humans.

  294. You are a human, so you qualify. Now we like to make it personal.

  295. He chose me and He did choose you personally.

  296. That's true. I understand that because He

  297. chooses all of us. However, not all of us choose.

  298. So again, when you make it personal, He.

  299. May know because he's all knowing that you are going to

  300. accept him, but there are those who do not and he made provision

  301. for them. And he paid the price for all

  302. their wrongdoings. Doesn't matter what they've

  303. done, He's paid the price. All they have to do by faith is

  304. accept Jesus Christ as their Lord.

  305. Hallelujah. So we know when Adam eats the

  306. fruit. Genesis 315 says this.

  307. And I'll put enmity between you and the woman, in between your

  308. seed and her seed. She shall bruise you on the

  309. head, and you shall bruise him on the hill.

  310. So it says before the foundations of the world in

  311. Ephesians 1/4, that He chose us in him.

  312. Before the foundation of that we would be holy.

  313. Come on. Put verse 4 back up there real

  314. quick if you would. Ephesians 1/4 He chose us in Him

  315. before the foundation of the world.

  316. Now what condition does he want to find us in, since He chose us

  317. in Christ? This is what a reigning society

  318. or the reigning church looks like, that we would be what?

  319. We'd be holy. Now why would we be holy?

  320. Because He is holy? Because again, before you came,

  321. before the systems function for Adam fell, he already had the

  322. plan of redemption through Jesus and that the add the actions,

  323. behavior, lifestyle, and nature that the first Adam had and

  324. lost, Jesus restored for us so that we could be back in that

  325. original nature. Now we're waiting on the

  326. glorified body, but it's coming. And the Spirit that we couldn't

  327. have changed, Christ changed for us and put it in US.

  328. And in the process we renew our mind because in Him we're going

  329. to be holy. We're going to be blameless

  330. before him in love. Because what does love do?

  331. Love keeps the word I said. Love keeps the word.

  332. Jesus said if you love me, you keep my word right?

  333. Well, you know I love you, but you don't do anything I say OK,

  334. let's go on then verse 5. He said he predestined us to the

  335. adoption of sons. Now notice look what this says.

  336. Look how this works. It says by predestined us.

  337. And this is not predestination in the context that he that he

  338. is picking certain ones and others he's not picking no, we

  339. all have free will. The predestination is let us

  340. make man in our image according to our likeness and let them

  341. have dominion and everyone that has ever been born has the right

  342. to that place and he's predestined us to do that.

  343. However, if you choose not to, then you won't live it but his

  344. destiny. So predestination or predestiny

  345. is what God's idea or his destiny for you?

  346. The question and he's already picked it for you before you

  347. even know it. But if you don't accept it, then

  348. you can do your own destiny. So he predestined us to the

  349. adoption of a son through Christ Jesus to himself according to

  350. the good pleasure of whose will again, and we're going to see

  351. here throughout this particular, you know, church example is that

  352. the things that are happening are for his glory

  353. for his glory because it's about him.

  354. Why did God go after you? Well, because he loves me so

  355. much. God went after you because he

  356. predestined you would be in a state and that is loving you

  357. because it's keeping his own word towards you.

  358. But what he's doing is he is making a pathway so that you can

  359. know him. But we, if we don't watch out,

  360. we're making the gospel where it's about US and we talk and

  361. sell this man God, he'll come after you.

  362. He loves you. It's all about you.

  363. He'll, he'll, he'll do this. He'll come here.

  364. He'll leave the 99. It's about you.

  365. It's coming after you. It's about, you know, it's about

  366. I'm doing my work so you can come to me.

  367. It's about you being there to come back to me because it's

  368. about me. Your your new birth experience

  369. glorifies God because it shows that what you couldn't do, He

  370. did. You're not the object.

  371. He's the object and He is making the pathway so that you can

  372. discover Him. It's about him.

  373. And then when I'm like, wow, look what you did so I could get

  374. to know you because I'm nothing compared to you.

  375. You are the center of it, all right, Right, right.

  376. So again, he did all this according to the good pleasure

  377. of his will, not my will. I mean, he's doing this to

  378. fulfill His will so that he's glorified, so that he's honored,

  379. so that he's lifted up. He goes on to say the good

  380. pleasure of His will to the praise of the glory of whose

  381. grace It's His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the

  382. Beloved. In Him we have redemption,

  383. through whose blood, his blood and the forgiveness of our

  384. transgression according to the riches of whose grace His The

  385. object here of, of salvation is not us, it's Him.

  386. Because again, if none of us of our own free will except the

  387. death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and the forgiveness of

  388. the blood of Christ, God is still going to do it.

  389. To fulfill his word, because God is not a man that he should lie,

  390. He should lie. And when Adam ate the fruit, God

  391. enacted amendments to be able to help us.

  392. Find him to have a relationship with him.

  393. He made provisions so that we could come off this place of

  394. death that has to be satisfied and he.

  395. Gave us the way, man, he's awesome.

  396. So this enmity that took place between man and God, because

  397. Satan now has the dominion Adam lost.

  398. And he says I'll have put enmity between you and him, although my

  399. relationship with man is cut off, but I'm going to bring a

  400. seed. And that says he's going to tear

  401. down that which stops them from being with me because he's going

  402. to crush your head. In essence, he's going to take

  403. the dominion back. So turn over real quick the

  404. Ephesians Ephesians chapter 2 again talking to the church

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  405. starting in verse 13. We'll read the 19.

  406. Let's just read it and then we'll come back and give some

  407. comments. He said, But now in Christ you

  408. were formerly far off. Have been brought near by what

  409. the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who

  410. made both groups one, and broke down the dividing wall of the

  411. partition by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, the law of

  412. commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Him He

  413. might create the two into one new man, making peace, and might

  414. reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having

  415. in Himself put to death the enmity.

  416. And He came and preached the good news to of peace to you who

  417. were far off, and peace of those who were near.

  418. For through Him we have our access in one spirit to the

  419. Father. So then you are no longer

  420. strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the

  421. Saints who are God's household. Now I'm going to read a

  422. particular illustration that allows us to understand God's

  423. use of the law, God's use of the law.

  424. Because when we read the law, understanding Genesis 3 from

  425. only the fall of man perspective, then you understand

  426. we say a lot about the law. In fact, in studying this one

  427. commentary said it this way, Jesus fulfilled the law.

  428. And what's abolished in one sense or removed is the

  429. ceremonial laws. Now, why did they say that?

  430. Because Roman tells us that whether you're under the law or

  431. not, there's already a consciousness of doing right and

  432. wrong. Romans clearly states that that

  433. more morality is there. What made the Jews despised is

  434. because the ceremonial laws is was the blood covering the

  435. transgression so that they can maintain holiness and be

  436. blessed. And no other type of religion or

  437. God participate had the same effect.

  438. Now that doesn't mean blood wasn't being used, I'm not

  439. saying but it had no power because their gods are not real.

  440. So there's a ceremonial of the lamb, the goats, the different

  441. things that Jesus fulfilled, all that.

  442. That's why we don't have to do sacrifices.

  443. Jesus is the sacrifice once and for all.

  444. However, the law of morality has not ended in the new and better

  445. coveted Thou shalt not still still applies.

  446. It still applies. Thou shalt not commit murder

  447. still applies. Thou shalt not commit adultery

  448. still applies. Do not cover your neck.

  449. That's still a plot. Those moral laws are there.

  450. Here's the difference. In your flesh you could not

  451. acquire righteousness. In essence, you tried to do the

  452. law by a letter, meaning in the flesh, but the law had to be

  453. fulfilled or is fulfilled by the Spirit and Jesus by the Spirit

  454. fulfills so that you can now live a moral life because you

  455. are a new creature in Christ, but the intent of the law.

  456. Is summed up very well in this illustration.

  457. It says the wife of a drunkard once found her husband in a

  458. filthy condition, with torn clothes, matted hair, bruised

  459. face, asleep in the kitchen. Having come home from a drunken

  460. revel. She sent for a photographer.

  461. So obviously this is an old illustration that they didn't

  462. have their own camera. She sent for a photographer.

  463. And had a portrait of him taken in.

  464. All his wretched appearance, and placed it on the mantle beside

  465. another portrait taken at the time of his marriage, which

  466. showed him handsome well. Dressed as he had been in other

  467. days. When he became sober, he saw the

  468. two pictures and awakened to a consciousness of his condition,

  469. which from which he arose to a better life.

  470. Now the office of the law is not to save man, but to show them

  471. their true state as compared with the divine standard.

  472. It's like a glass in which one soothe what manner of man he is.

  473. In essence, the law came so that man realized the condition he is

  474. in is not Genesis 126. The law came to reveal to us we

  475. are a wretched thing. How in the world can God have a

  476. requirement of morality and righteousness?

  477. When I'm confronted, I see what I was in a previous.

  478. Time. Oh, you all know what here.

  479. Man in a previous time, in the beginning when God made the

  480. heavens and the earth, he was without spot or wrinkle, holy,

  481. blameless, righteous, full of faith, no issues of sin.

  482. That was his original state. But then he falls.

  483. And in his falling, man does what seems right.

  484. Yet he's having issues in his moral mind, in his mind because

  485. of the temptations, and he begins to move.

  486. He does what seems right to him, but what seems right only leads

  487. to what? So much so that God regrets that

  488. He made man because left to themselves in this state, so he

  489. destroys the planet starts with another family in covenant

  490. through a promise which is just re conversing Genesis 3 or

  491. Ephesians chapter 1. I chose you before the

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  492. foundations of the world in him. This is what you look like.

  493. So when the law came, the law says this is what this was a

  494. standard. And when you look at yourself,

  495. you're like, I don't meet that as Paul said, the things I tried

  496. to do, right, I did. And he said, who is this

  497. wretched man that will save my life?

  498. But thanks be to God. Come on, thanks be to God.

  499. Come on, thanks be to God that in Christ Jesus we've been made

  500. to triumph. In essence, the minute you make

  501. Christ your Lord, then you get set back.

  502. In the original state, the law was not to condemn you, it was

  503. to show you your state that you would aspire to be different and

  504. say I want to be this. I want to be what I originally

  505. was. And in it ourselves we can't.

  506. But in Christ we are. Hallelujah.

  507. And so Paul was writing to the church saying, listen guys, it

  508. when when you came into the Kingdom of God by the blood

  509. through the forgiveness of sin, you now have reserved.

  510. Seating. Go back to Ephesians one, he's

  511. telling them, listen man, we've been chosen through God's grace

  512. and what he's done. He has set us in a place and

  513. then he concludes that chapter by saying that the God of our

  514. Lord Jesus Christ, verse 17, the Father of glory, he may give to

  515. you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge

  516. of him so that you so that you, the eyes of your heart might be

  517. enlightened. You will know what is the hope

  518. of His calling, what are the riches of the of the glory of

  519. His inheritance in the Saints? What is the surpassing greatness

  520. of His power towards us who believe according to the working

  521. of of of the might of His strength, which He worked in

  522. Christ by raising him from the dead and seated, seating Him at

  523. His right hand in heavenly places far above all rule and

  524. authority and power and dominion and every name that is named,

  525. not only in this age, but also in the age to come.

  526. What is he saying? Hey, now that you're born again,

  527. God give you wisdom so you can see yourself back in the garden.

  528. You've been he, He was raised up.

  529. If you look, Jesus has been given the name above every name.

  530. He's above every principality and powers the condition of man

  531. in the state he was in. Christ has paid the price and

  532. has given you a pathway. I fulfill my word.

  533. I have honored it. You can come and be back in my

  534. original intent because I always originally thought I'll save you

  535. before I say something because I'm going to get you there if

  536. you want it. And if you get there, you're

  537. going to be Jesus has raised up all this, then it says verse 22,

  538. but he put all things in subjection under his feet and

  539. gave him his head over all things.

  540. Where to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him

  541. who fills on all and again, Ephesians are the Bibles written

  542. in chapters and verse. But really we should just keep

  543. reading. Paul is saying, listen, I'm

  544. praying that you get this revelation that because Christ

  545. has paid the price, because Christ came from a place of

  546. dominion, stayed in a place of dominion in the flesh, conquered

  547. death, hell on the grave, and destroyed the works of the

  548. devil. The works of the devil is

  549. disobedience to the crown, the king, and the word of God.

  550. He's destroyed those works. They do not have to be a part of

  551. your life. You have dominion whether you

  552. feel it or not. It's yours.

  553. You just have to access it by faith, through the grace of God,

  554. by the grace of God that's in your life because Christ made

  555. you this way. And so you can pull on that so

  556. that you reign in life, you reign in life.

  557. Come on, you reign in life because He did it with His

  558. power, with His might, with His strength, with His insight, with

  559. His obligation to fulfill his word concerning you.

  560. But again, he says all these things, that Christ is far above

  561. all principalities and powers and dominions in this age, but

  562. also in the one to come. And then he says, oh, by the

  563. way, he's extended that to his body.

  564. Come on, He's the head, you're the household of God.

  565. He's extended it. So then Paul keeps going because

  566. again we get chapter and verse, but Paul keeps going.

  567. So you go to the next chapter, verse 1.

  568. He says now you were dead in your in your transgression and

  569. sin, which you here it is. You formerly walked according to

  570. the course of this world, according to the ruler of the

  571. power of the air, the spirit that is now working in the sons

  572. of Come on. You don't want to be equated

  573. with the sons of disobedience. You do not want to be associated

  574. as a son of disobedience. And a son of disobedience is

  575. simply someone who will wants to do their own will despite

  576. knowing God's will. So again, he said Jesus has got

  577. all this power, all this authority has been raised up.

  578. I'm praying that you get this knowledge of all that actually

  579. is extended actually towards us because what is actually he has

  580. obtained and it goes towards the church.

  581. So I want to remind you, you were dead.

  582. You used to in your former say former, former.

  583. Come on, say former, not today. Don't resurrect a former.

  584. Come on, Because here's the thing, you cannot resurrect an

  585. old life. You die back in that life.

  586. Dead things are dead. If you're resurrected, it's in

  587. life. If you want to go back to

  588. former, you're choosing to die. You're willfully going back to

  589. death. So you formally walked.

  590. He's like, listen, I want to remind you did these things and

  591. it was according to the course of the power of the air of the

  592. spirits that are now working in the sunset, which tells me this,

  593. your disobedience because you're being influenced.

  594. Right, right. Come on.

  595. This is the craziest thing. We do have a free will, but our

  596. free will is not without constant influence.

  597. No decision you're making is independent thought.

  598. Either your flesh is talking and the flesh is not alive.

  599. Are either one of these spirits are talking and they're pretty

  600. good seducers, or the Lord's talking.

  601. And if you're alive to Christ, you should be able to discern

  602. your flesh's voice, the wrong spirit's voice, or the word of

  603. God. And God did the the voice of the

  604. Spirit of God and God did a extra.

  605. He said, not only will I speak to you by the Spirit, but I'll

  606. leave my word so you'll know it's actually me.

  607. Hallelujah. So listen, I don't care what

  608. you're doing. It's not an independent thought.

  609. You're listening to something. And here's the thing, what you

  610. give attention to, you act on. And Paul's reminded them you

  611. formally listened. Come on, say I don't listen to

  612. that no more. Come on, say I don't listen to

  613. that no more. I don't listen to that no more.

  614. Amen. I don't listen to that no more.

  615. Jesus himself had two voices talked to him when he asked the

  616. question Who do people say that I am?

  617. And then it tells him that he's going to die.

  618. Peter comes up according to his his emotions.

  619. His flesh speaks 1st and then Satan enforces the message.

  620. He says you're not going to die and the Lord addressed get thee

  621. behind me, Satan. That was not an independent

  622. thought for Peter. He heard it.

  623. Hallelujah, so he said this, among whom we all verse 3 also

  624. formally conducted ourselves in the lust of the flesh, doing the

  625. desires of the flesh and of the. So not are we trying to satisfy,

  626. making our body feel good with stuff that's just killing us,

  627. but we're trying to satisfy our mind with stuff that's just

  628. killing us. And we were by nature this is

  629. talking to our spirit children of the wrath, even as the rest

  630. all but we all love verse 4 right?

  631. But God come on. But God being rich in what you

  632. know how he's rich in mercy. You know what what the wealth of

  633. his mercy is. It's his blood because when he's

  634. paid all the price for all sin, he can be merciful to say you

  635. can come off. I know you did that, but I've

  636. really already paid that You come off.

  637. OK, I realize you've done that, but that's OK.

  638. I've already paid that. You can come off.

  639. Well, now can I do that? Look, it won't matter what

  640. you've done. I've paid for it.

  641. So I'm merciful. It's no, It's because you're not

  642. getting away with it. It's not like it's unnoticed.

  643. No, I've actually already paid for all that.

  644. So go ahead and commit another crime and my blood's got that.

  645. Go ahead and sin again, my blood's got that.

  646. Go ahead and rebel again. My blood's got.

  647. I've already paid for it. So This is why I'm merciful,

  648. because you're not getting away with it.

  649. I'm paying every price of your disobedience.

  650. I'm footing the bill here. This is what Jesus is doing.

  651. He's footing the bill and he's rich in mercy 'cause his blood

  652. paid it all. But if you don't accept his

  653. mercy payment, if you don't come to the mercy seat, then you'll

  654. have to pay your own account. It won't go to your.

  655. Account. He's like everything, every debt

  656. you're accumulating right now, I have it in savings.

  657. It's in the mercy seat. I can.

  658. All we got to do is make a withdrawal and pay it all.

  659. So God being rich in mercy because of his what?

  660. Because of his great love with which He loved us, What is that

  661. love? Let us make man in our IMS

  662. according to our likeness and let him have dominion man.

  663. That's what I've said about man, and that's what I will keep as

  664. the ability for man to be, even though God could say you don't

  665. deserve it and he's right. But God says I, I fulfill my

  666. word not because of deserving. I keep my word.

  667. I keep it because this is about my integrity.

  668. This is about my holiness. This is about my justice.

  669. This is about my glory. This is about my supremacy.

  670. This is about my sovereignty. This is about my righteousness.

  671. Because I am the only righteous holy there is.

  672. And even though you don't deserve it, I'm not emotionally

  673. attached to move towards you one way or the other.

  674. I'm moved only by what my word says.

  675. And my word says man's going to have dominion.

  676. And even though none of you deserve a pathway back, I make a

  677. pathway for my sake, for my name, for my glory, for my

  678. honor, for my majesty. And you have the privilege to

  679. know me. Hallelujah, I said.

  680. He's God. He's God.

  681. And he's rich, he had great love towards us.

  682. I will keep my word. I will do it verse 5 when even

  683. when we were dead in our transgression made us alive

  684. together with Christ. By grace you have been saved.

  685. Here it is verse 6 and raised us up with him because verse

  686. chapter one said his seat is far above.

  687. All principalities and powers and dominions, not only in this

  688. age, but the age to come. But no, it's now he raised us

  689. up. Reserve seating.

  690. He's got a reserve section for us.

  691. Not everybody can be here. It's been reserved.

  692. Oh, excuse me, Sir. Yeah, I have reserved seating.

  693. Oh, how's that? I'm in Christ.

  694. Oh, I know where your seat is. Come on up here.

  695. You're seated right here by the right hand of the Father.

  696. You're in Christ seat. He's seated at the right hand.

  697. You're in his seat. OK, come on down here right now.

  698. Come on up front here. You're in the reserve section

  699. now. You're not in a reserve section.

  700. If you disobedient, if you're trying to live a formal life,

  701. you're losing access to your reserve seat.

  702. God wants you to stay in the reserve seat.

  703. Don't think. Listen, because you've come out,

  704. you get reserve seating. You've been raised up with him

  705. and seated with him in heavenly places in, in Christ, not in

  706. your work, not in your effort, but in the finished work of

  707. Jesus, that then he speaks to you of which your spirit is made

  708. alive, so that you want to obey God, because the new Spirit

  709. that's in Christ obeys, obeys the Father Jesus, obeyed the

  710. Father Jesus. Said I don't do anything, I'm

  711. all in will. But whatever the Father says, I

  712. do. And guess what?

  713. You have that spirit. You have that spirit, you have

  714. the connection, you're alive, you can hear.

  715. Then you have the third person of the Godhead.

  716. The Holy Spirit lives in you. Then he's endued you with power.

  717. These are heavenly blessings that are yours in Christ because

  718. you're a child of the king. Verse seven goes on to say this.

  719. He says so that in the ages to come he might show the

  720. surpassing riches of His grace and kindness towards us in

  721. Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved

  722. through faith. It is not of yourself.

  723. It is a gift of God, not of works, so that you may boast,

  724. meaning you can't say I'll do this and you have to accept it.

  725. You can't do that for we not of works that no one can boast.

  726. You can't do it on your own. You have to accept what Jesus

  727. did. Verse 10 For we are his created

  728. for not born again. For heaven you're not born

  729. again. For heaven you're not born

  730. again. So you'll know where you'll go

  731. when you die, which is heaven. That's not why no, you are here.

  732. Who's who's? This ain't about you, this about

  733. him. It's not about you, it's about

  734. him. Because if you want to be what

  735. he is or what he has, then you got to do it his way.

  736. And listen, he's not compromising. 0 Compromise.

  737. This is why you want to compromise.

  738. Let me tell you what Rd. you're on.

  739. It's pretty wide. You want to negotiate with God

  740. now, Lord, you know I want to be right with you.

  741. But there's some things down here I kind of like my.

  742. Former do you understand? I mean, I've come to church, but

  743. but he said no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  744. I made you away. I did that.

  745. You're different. You're my workmanship.

  746. And if you're my workmanship, then you've been created in

  747. Christ for. Good works which got prepared

  748. beforehand so that they would. So you're walking is according

  749. to his design. When he's Lord, you've died.

  750. Yeah, that's right. You've died to your own

  751. pleasures, your former manner of life, your way of doing things.

  752. Now you say, well, man, I don't even get a say so no, in one

  753. sense you don't, and you don't want your own say so.

  754. But you can't have a say so within the context of what's

  755. holy and righteous. Listen, God would have no

  756. problem to assemble a bunch of human beings and say, listen, we

  757. want to do this. What do you think?

  758. And this is his will. And you're like, well, we could

  759. do this, which is according to your will.

  760. Well, you know, but we could do it this way, Lord, according to

  761. your will. We could do it this way, Lord,

  762. according to your will. Cause nothing we're saying

  763. violates your will. And he can say, well, we can do

  764. that. And he allows you to have a buy

  765. in. Are you hearing me?

  766. I mean, you can wear clothes as long as the buy in is in the

  767. term modest. Oh.

  768. Y'all don't want to hear? That's fine.

  769. Do you understand what I'm saying?

  770. I mean there are things that are going on that you can agree with

  771. and you still are a part of the pracles.

  772. God made you too creative. But you can't say I'm not doing

  773. what you want because that the a reigning society does not.

  774. Have that attitude. We only have what's in Christ.

  775. Whatever the Father says I'm going to do, I love to do it

  776. because I love him and he's life.

  777. And if I if I don't, then I'm willfully saying I want death.

  778. So he reminds them, listen, all the principalities and powers

  779. are under the feet of Jesus of which he's given to the church.

  780. And I want to remind you, you lived away, but by grace through

  781. faith, you're now a child of God.

  782. You've received the gift of life for in Christ, for you to be a

  783. good work of His that He can glorify you, can show glory to

  784. Him through your life's behavior in the world.

  785. Can I get an AM? That's the key and this is just

  786. first couple of chapters of him talking to the church at

  787. Ephesus. We're we're a different society

  788. now, different breed of people. We function differently now and

  789. when we function that way, it glorifies God and it will cause

  790. man to say I look like a drunken stupor and I used to look like

  791. that. Oh, you don't want to, do you

  792. understand? You're not showing the law

  793. anymore. You are the new law because it's

  794. written in your heart. You're under the law of the

  795. spirit of life in Christ Jesus. When you walk in a room, people

  796. should say that's what I could look like, so that's what I look

  797. like. That's what you look like.
