  1. Look at our scripture tonight out of Philippians chapter 2.

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  2. We only got to the scripture last week, so we were talking

  3. about the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord and the

  4. scripture out of Philippians chapter 2 that we focused on was

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  5. talking about how we have to work out what our salvation with

  6. fear and trembling. We have to work out our

  7. salvation with fear and trembling, right?

  8. And we said the to, to define fear properly.

  9. We see it as this to Revere, to stand in awe, to honor, to

  10. esteem, to be devoted to. This is important because I hear

  11. a lot of people say they fear the Lord, but they're not

  12. devoted to Him in their everyday life.

  13. They're not devoted to Him. And this is 1 definition of what

  14. we see the fear of the Lord means.

  15. It means to be devoted to Him, to respect, and then also to be

  16. afraid, right? And we talked about this.

  17. Or to dread. And this is not the fear that

  18. the enemy, you know, brings towards our life with a spirit

  19. of fear. No, this is a different type of

  20. fear. This fear involves us

  21. disappointing God or not being obedient to His will and not

  22. doing the things that we should dread the day that we stand

  23. before Him. Because every me what?

  24. And every tongue will confess. We will every, each and every

  25. one of us stand before the Lord and have to give an account of

  26. our walk with Him. Right?

  27. And we should be in fear that we would not do the things that He

  28. is asking or requiring of us to do as believers, right?

  29. And that should be something that you would fear that you

  30. would dread. You do not want to what?

  31. Displease the Father? You do not want to disappoint

  32. him, right? And and so this is very

  33. important that we recognize what the fear of the Lord literally

  34. means. So we saw that we are to work

  35. this salvation out with honor towards Him, with reverence

  36. towards Him, being devoted to Him, right, respecting him and

  37. having a fear in our hearts that we would not do the things that

  38. he's asking of us to do, right? And then we looked at this word

  39. work, and because in the church today and the age of grace that

  40. we're living and the doctrine of grace that has gotten way out of

  41. balance, right? Work is a dirty word, right?

  42. Because people think I don't have to do anything.

  43. We're not talking about earning your salvation.

  44. We're talking about working out what you are to become and what

  45. you are already on the inside after Christ has already

  46. deposited his Spirit and his life within you.

  47. And so we are to become, it's a becoming.

  48. So that means there's things that we are to grow in, we are

  49. to become. And as we're doing that, that

  50. means there's going to be work within our life through the

  51. grace of God, through the Spirit of God, that he's going to begin

  52. to give us the grace and the anointing, the strength to be

  53. able to work out our salvation. All right.

  54. And we see that this work means to perform.

  55. What does that mean? That is not meaning that we are

  56. performing to be approved by him.

  57. No, we are performing the work that He's already put within us

  58. to be able to do because again, it's not about earning our

  59. salvation. It was already paid for by

  60. Christ and it was already. I'm trying to think of that word

  61. imputed to you the minute you called on the name of the Lord,

  62. Amen. The minute you called on the

  63. name of the Lord by faith through your salvation.

  64. Listen, everything that Christ did is already put on the inside

  65. of you. So now you are to perform the

  66. things that He's put it. Remember, you were saved so that

  67. you could do good work. So work is not a bad word in the

  68. Kingdom of God because we're not working this thing in ourselves.

  69. We're working out what He put within us to accomplish.

  70. OK, it also means to accomplish. That means there's things that

  71. He's going to assign for us to do as a believer in the earth,

  72. and He expects us to accomplish some things.

  73. OK? It means this to achieve, to

  74. work out and that's what I'm going to title this Part 2 of

  75. the fear of the Lord is work it out.

  76. Say work it out. OK, we are to work it out.

  77. And then he goes on to say to do that with something results.

  78. So there should be results within your life as a believer

  79. that people ought to be able to see your life and you becoming

  80. all that God has called you to be doing, all that God has asked

  81. of you to do, and you performing it, working it out with His

  82. help. And there ought to be results

  83. within your life. People ought to be able to see a

  84. result. They ought to be able to see a

  85. transformation within your life. Amen.

  86. You ought to not be the same today as when the first day you

  87. got born again and brought into the Kingdom of God.

  88. They ought to see a work by the Spirit of God through the grace

  89. of God on the inside of you and you obeying and yielding and

  90. performing. That is you working it out and

  91. becoming what He wants to see within your life and there

  92. should be results. So it means also when He says

  93. work it out, it means to bring it about.

  94. To bring it about. There ought to be, as I said,

  95. results, results within your life in Christ as you are

  96. walking this walk out every day. It means to fashion.

  97. So there are things that what is he doing?

  98. He's molding you. He's fashioning you to become

  99. what it is He created you to be. Right where he tells us and

  100. James that we are to look in the mirror.

  101. And when we look in the mirror, we are seeing what a reflection

  102. or a picture of what he sees us as.

  103. And then we are what to behold That mirror allow him to fashion

  104. us, to mold us, to make us and not tell the Potter, he can't

  105. touch this area in my life, right?

  106. And so it means to render one fit.

  107. To render one fit. Come on.

  108. And then he goes on to say to work a deed or to fully

  109. accomplish and to finish. Isn't that what Paul says?

  110. We need to what? Finish our race?

  111. We need to accomplish walking in everything that God has for us

  112. to walk in in this life. Amen.

  113. Hallelujah. And that is up to us and how

  114. much we allow the Spirit of God to work us out because he's the

  115. trainer. He's the trainer and he's the

  116. one saying, come on, you can do one more push up, right?

  117. He's the trainer and he's the one that says, come on, you can

  118. forgive them one more time. Come on.

  119. He's the one that can say to you, come on, you can keep your

  120. tongue to yourself. See, you can tame it because if

  121. you don't, your religion is worthless.

  122. It's what James says. But I'm not talking about the

  123. tongue tonight because there's been a lot of loose lips sinking

  124. lots of ships. Hallelujah, glory to God, but we

  125. had just move on. So we saw this where he says

  126. work out your salvation with fearing trembling.

  127. I read it out of the amplified too.

  128. It says Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed my

  129. suggestions, so now not only with the enthusiasm you would

  130. show in my presence, but much more because I am absent.

  131. Workout, Here's the amplified what it says.

  132. Workout Cultivate. We've heard that word before,

  133. right? Cultivate, carry out the goal

  134. and fully complete. Say fully complete, because see,

  135. that is the goal for every believer.

  136. And we teach that here is that we must mature.

  137. He expects us to grow up spiritually.

  138. He expects us to walk in maturity as a believer, meaning

  139. we're not going to be doing the same things today as we did the

  140. day we got brought into the Kingdom of God.

  141. We're more mature than that, right?

  142. We've grown. We've allowed that salvation to

  143. be worked out within our lives. And so his goal is that we would

  144. be fully complete or mature. Your own salvation with

  145. reverence. Here's the word honor.

  146. Reverence with honor, with awe, with honor, awe with trembling

  147. self distrust. That means we're not here to

  148. work out this salvation and trusting in our own self.

  149. We're here to work this salvation out with trusting in

  150. the Lord, with trusting in his strength, with trusting in his

  151. grace, with trusting in the working of the Holy Spirit

  152. within our lives. You see that?

  153. And he goes on to say with serious caution.

  154. So again, that we wouldn't want to dread or have fear that we

  155. would disappoint God. So he's letting us know and

  156. amplify we're to work this salvation out with serious

  157. conscious, caution, Caution. That's what the word is,

  158. caution, not conscious. But yes, we should be spirit

  159. conscious and serious about it, right?

  160. But with caution. And then it goes on to say with

  161. tenderness of conscious watchfulness against temptation,

  162. timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God.

  163. So when you say you honor God and you fear God, you know what

  164. that means? That I am going to shrink back

  165. from whatever might offend God. So whatever His word says that I

  166. should be walking in or I shouldn't be doing as a

  167. believer, then guess what I'm going to do?

  168. I am going to do it because I fear him and I don't want to

  169. offend Him because when we choose not to do it, we

  170. offending, we disappointing, we can displeasing.

  171. These are all words that are important words.

  172. We can also, you know, not then become all that He wants us to

  173. become, because what happens when we shrink back from

  174. whatever that would offend him it says and discredit the name

  175. of Christ. See, this is what we're talking

  176. about, the fear of the Lord. I don't ever want to do anything

  177. that would offend him or discredit his name.

  178. And this is when you can tell there's a person that really

  179. honors God because they're not going to do anything that would

  180. come against a church, say anything bad to discredit the

  181. name of Christ or to offend him in any way by not obeying what

  182. the Scripture says, that we as believers should walk in, right?

  183. And this is what really the fear of the Lord is.

  184. We can come in here and say we fear him, but do we?

  185. And these are the Scriptures that let us know, right?

  186. And define some of these things so that we can get a good

  187. picture of what it really means to honor him.

  188. And then he goes on to completely let us know out of

  189. the amplified that it's not in your own strength.

  190. For it is God who is all the while effectually at work within

  191. you, energizing and creating in you the power to do it.

  192. And not only to do it, to desire it.

  193. Because someone who doesn't really desire to do what God

  194. says is not really fearing Him. If you don't desire to want to,

  195. you know, read the word. If you don't desire to want to

  196. come to church, if you don't desire to want to grow, if you

  197. don't desire to want to actually walk in love with one another,

  198. if you don't want, if you don't desire these things, then do we

  199. really fear Him? See.

  200. And so he and you say you're a believer.

  201. So he goes on to say both to will and to work for his good

  202. pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

  203. You see that? So there's some things that we

  204. are to work out and to do in this life for him, for his

  205. pleasure. Amen.

  206. The things that he desires for us to do.

  207. It's not all about what we desire to do right, but what is

  208. it that He desires for us to do and walk out according to being

  209. led by Him and working out our salvation with fear and

  210. trembling. Now let's go to several other

  211. scriptures in the New Testament, which I didn't get to last week,

  212. so we want to get there first. Peter 1 and 19 through 17

  213. because again I said a lot of Psalms and Proverbs talks about

  214. the fear of the Lord. The majority of the Scriptures

  215. are in Psalms and Proverbs about the fear of the Lord, and a lot

  216. in the Old Testament as well. And so we need to see that this

  217. concept of the fear of the Lord is from Genesis to Revelation,

  218. from the old to the new. Nothing's done away with.

  219. We are to fear him, we're to honor him, we're to reverence

  220. him. We're to walk out our salvation

  221. in this fear and honor before him.

  222. So first Peter, chapter one, 913 through 17 out of the amplified

  223. says this. So prepare your minds for

  224. action. Be completely sober in spirit,

  225. Say sober in spirit, sober in spirit.

  226. Don't be drunk with all the other spirits that are seducing.

  227. All right, move along. Steadfast, self disciplined,

  228. spiritually and morally alert. Here's what he's saying.

  229. Listen, fix your hope completely on the grace of God that is

  230. coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

  231. Live as obedient children of God.

  232. Do not be conformed to the evil desires which governed you in

  233. your ignorance before you knew the requirements and the

  234. transforming power of the good news regarding salvation.

  235. But like the Holy One who was called has called you, be holy

  236. yourselves in your conduct. Be set apart from the world.

  237. Say be set apart from the world by your godly character.

  238. Wow, how many believers are having the same character as

  239. those of the world and you can't tell the difference and you want

  240. to? Are they born again?

  241. Because they sure are not displaying anything morally.

  242. OK, look what I says. It says with godly character and

  243. moral courage, because it is written you should be holy set

  244. apart, and we're going to define what holy is.

  245. Be set apart for I am holy. If you address as the Father,

  246. the one who is impartially judges according to each one's

  247. work, conduct yourselves in reverent fear of Him, which is

  248. what we said. The fear of the Lord is honor.

  249. Write all of those things of him.

  250. And with profound respect for him throughout your time of stay

  251. on the earth. So He's letting us know that He

  252. expects that while we as believers are living in this

  253. ungodly world, that we could walk holy, set apart.

  254. And the reason why we can walk in holiness is because we fear

  255. Him. Because when you really fear the

  256. Lord, and you honor Him, and you honor His word, and you obey Him

  257. and do what He tells you you need to be doing as a believer,

  258. fear will equal holiness. Outside of you fearing the Lord,

  259. I can guarantee you there are things unholy in your life.

  260. And This is why men can still be wrapped up in pornography,

  261. because they really don't fear the Lord.

  262. And This is why believers can still act a fool and and gossip

  263. and slander and do, because there is No Fear of the Lord, No

  264. Fear of the Lord, right? And so he goes on to say here in

  265. Second Corinthians, he's letting us know, listen, you ought to be

  266. able to fear the Lord. Walk in holiness while you're

  267. here on this earth. He expects us to live holy.

  268. He expects us to walk in the fear of the Lord.

  269. And 2nd Corinthians 7 one says this.

  270. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse

  271. ourselves. Why would He tell us to cleanse

  272. ourselves if He says He's already poured out his blood on

  273. the mercy seat? Put Jesus Christ on the inside

  274. of us because we can still have to walk out in this earth by

  275. being holy. Meaning there's things that

  276. we're going to have to cleanse ourselves of.

  277. Things we maybe have seen with our eyes come on, things we

  278. maybe have listened to. Things we maybe have allowed

  279. ourselves to slip back into and he's letting us know that we're

  280. the ones that are going to have to cleanse ourselves from all

  281. filthiness of the what flesh, because the spirit and the what

  282. the flesh battle daily. The spirit and the flesh battle

  283. daily and and who can save us from this wretched man of

  284. ourselves? It's only God and so at all

  285. times we must choose God, our spirit over this flesh.

  286. Every time we have to crucify. That's why he says daily we have

  287. to kill this flesh. We have to say no to it.

  288. When you want to do the things that you want to lash out, you

  289. have to say in Jesus name. His Word says this, and I'll

  290. refuse to walk in the flesh with this because my Spirit is going

  291. to dominate me. You see what I'm saying?

  292. So we have to choose that. We're going to put down our

  293. flesh, we're going to keep this flesh under, we're going to

  294. crucify this thing, and we are going to walk in.

  295. Look what He says from all filthiness of the flesh,

  296. perfecting holiness. Look at this in the fear of God,

  297. See, so fearing the Lord brings forth holiness, perfecting that

  298. holiness within our life. And if we don't fear any

  299. consequences, because listen, if you sow to thee, what will you

  300. reap? Corruption, destruction.

  301. When you sow to the flesh that it, you don't escape that.

  302. While we're here in this day, in this earth, we have to choose to

  303. put it down. We have to choose to dominate

  304. it. We have to choose to say no to

  305. this flesh. And we'll always have to do that

  306. until we take on the new body, right?

  307. The glorified body, OK. And so we have to choose to do

  308. that. And when every time we choose to

  309. put down this flesh and all filthiness, right, the

  310. perfecting of holiness begins to operate within our life and the

  311. fear of the Lord. And without the fear of the

  312. Lord, we won't walk in holiness. We won't walk in holiness.

  313. Even though he says be holy, he says be holy as I am holy.

  314. What does holy means? Set apart, separated, right?

  315. It means sacred. Do you know you are sacred to

  316. God? You're sacred.

  317. That's what holy means. Sacred, he says.

  318. Be holy, be sacred, be separated, be set apart.

  319. It means physically holy, morally holy, pure, blameless.

  320. This is what holiness means, Consecrated.

  321. Consecrated. I'm consecrated, I am separated.

  322. Come on. I am sacred.

  323. I am spiritually and morally pure.

  324. This is what holiness means, and it comes through US fearing the

  325. Lord, honoring Him, putting Him first.

  326. Like he says in Matthew 633, seek first the Kingdom of God

  327. and His righteousness. And when we put first the

  328. Kingdom principles of being able to live this Kingdom life in our

  329. life every day, it's producing the fruits of the righteousness

  330. that's already been get imputed within our life because there's

  331. fruits of righteousness. And listen, this will, this is

  332. this is God's process, this is his process.

  333. This is how you become what he created you to be all along for

  334. you to become the person that he desired for you to be created

  335. you to be. And that's his process.

  336. He puts everything within you and gives the ability for that

  337. to function within your life so that then you can begin to walk

  338. it out per the Holy Spirit. And as we yield to the Holy

  339. Spirit and the Word of God every single time, sanctification is

  340. happening, washing is happening, holiness is being produced, fear

  341. of the Lord is being produced. It that is just how He processes

  342. you to become the believer that He would need you to be in the

  343. earth. Amen.

  344. See, everybody most the time think that the minute they get

  345. born again, that's it. You have just magically become a

  346. child of God. I'm a child of God.

  347. No, the seed of everything you need to be able to become as you

  348. work out your salvation is in you.

  349. And that seed now has to be watered, it has to grow, it has

  350. to be able to produce just like a natural seed when you put it

  351. in the water. And do you know what it needs to

  352. be able to grow? It needs, it needs the word, it

  353. needs the Spirit of God, come on, it needs the blood.

  354. Oh, it needs all these things that He has already provided for

  355. us so that we can work out this salvation and become everything

  356. that he wants. And again, we're not making

  357. ourselves holy because there is denominations that what if you

  358. wear your hair up in a bun? If you don't cut your hair, if

  359. you don't wear makeup, if you, you know, wear a long skirt and

  360. not wear pants, then you become holy.

  361. It's called the Holy Pentecost Holiness Church.

  362. So they're doing all this external things instead of

  363. allowing the seed on the inside to become and produce that

  364. holiness in our lives because there's nothing we have to do.

  365. From the outside, everything is working from the inside.

  366. Everything is working for seed. Adam chose to try to pull from

  367. this outside realm to become holy and covered and see Jesus

  368. came and said you have you don't have to do any of that.

  369. I'm fulfilling it all and I'm placing my spirit come on who I

  370. am and recreating your spirit in my image and giving you

  371. everything you need the seed to be able to grow, blossom and

  372. become as you cooperate with me. He always has needed man's

  373. cooperation, always from day one.

  374. God is not a genie where he just waves a wand and you are this

  375. perfect being. No, that's not how it works.

  376. That's not his processing center, Right?

  377. So fear will equal holiness within your life and all you

  378. have to do is yield to the things that He wants to do

  379. within your life. Now look at Ephesians.

  380. Ephesians chapter 5 and verse 26 through 27 says this in order

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  381. that we might sanctify it and purifying it by the washing of

  382. the water, by the Word, that He might present the assembling to

  383. Himself glorious, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing

  384. that might be holy and blameless.

  385. Now this is where this sanctification process comes in

  386. within our life. Again, if we will just yield to

  387. the Word of God through the leading of the Spirit of God,

  388. then that washing will happen. What are we washing?

  389. We're washing away the filthiness, we're washing away

  390. those things that caused us shame, guilt, all the mindsets,

  391. all the things, the dysfunctions that we had when we were lost,

  392. and just simply allowing the watering of the word to take a

  393. part of your life. That's why it's so important as

  394. a new believer that you're daily meditating in the word and

  395. reading it. Listen, when I got born again or

  396. when I made him Lord of my life. It was about when I was, you

  397. know, 21 when when we met, but a little earlier than that around

  398. 18. I knew nothing other than Jesus

  399. saved me and got born again and filled with and and then learned

  400. that I got filled with the Holy Ghost, spoke in tongues at a

  401. Church of God. But I knew nothing about

  402. anything. And I was reading the word, just

  403. simply reading the word and yielding to what I heard on the

  404. inside. And as I heard him say, you have

  405. unforgiveness and hatred in your heart toward your Father.

  406. You need to go to him and ask him to forgive you.

  407. I knew nothing, nothing, but I clearly heard His voice and was

  408. because I was reading the Word and guess what the Word and the

  409. Spirit was trying to do? Bring a washing and a cleansing

  410. in my life and set me actually free from a bondage the minute I

  411. started out because He went straight to the root of my

  412. problem. Straight to the root.

  413. You see that? So I didn't have to do anything

  414. out here. I was simply reading the Word

  415. and that washing started happening.

  416. But guess what? I had to yield to it.

  417. If I would not have obeyed and yielded and done it, worked it

  418. out, performed it, you know, if I wouldn't have yielded to it

  419. and done it, then I would have still been bound right with

  420. unforgiveness and hatred in my heart.

  421. You see that. And so this is how He processes

  422. us to becoming, and this is how we work out our salvation, to

  423. walk in the fear of the Lord and walk in holiness first.

  424. Peter 2 first, Peter 2 again, verses 9 through 12.

  425. I want to read this. But you are a chosen generation,

  426. a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that

  427. you should show forth the praises of Him who has called

  428. you out of darkness into His marvelous light, which in times

  429. past you were not a people, but now you are the people of God,

  430. which had not obtained mercy, but now you have attained mercy.

  431. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain

  432. from fleshly lust which war against your soul, having your

  433. conversation honest among the Gentiles, that whereas they

  434. speak against you as evil doers, they may be your good works.

  435. Look at this, they may be by your good works which they shall

  436. behold. You see that he's wanting to win

  437. people by our good works, that they may behold and glorify God

  438. in the day of visitation. He wants to because holiness

  439. will produce glory, and this is His goal because when Adam

  440. sinned in Genesis, the glory departed.

  441. So God's always been trying to get us back into His original

  442. plan, which is He was there in all of his glory, him and God in

  443. communication and in fellowship with no sin, right?

  444. But the minute he disobeyed, the Spirit departed.

  445. So God desired that he would be able to come, bring forth the

  446. sacrifice, to put back within man, as we would be the temples

  447. of the Holy Spirit again, to put back in man the Spirit of God,

  448. so that the glory could rest upon their lives again.

  449. So when people see you, they should see the fullness of His

  450. glory upon your life, and it will happen as you allow the

  451. fear of the Lord to rule and reign in your life.

  452. That will produce an equal holiness within your life, and

  453. then that holiness will produce the glory of God.

  454. What is the glory? The full measure, the full

  455. weight of who God is. You can walk around, come on and

  456. walk in the full weight of who He is in every situation and

  457. every circumstance in all of your life, in this life, so that

  458. when people see you, they see the glory.

  459. They see the glory, man. They look at you and think, wow,

  460. look at your life. Look what you have be.

  461. Look at the results. Look at the results.

  462. Look what you're producing for the Kingdom of God.

  463. When they see you, they see the glory.

  464. When they see you, they see the glory.

  465. Come on. Oh, oh, when they see you,

  466. they'll see the glory. Look at Titus chapter 2.

    Titus 2 chapter mention

  467. Titus chapter 2, verse 11 through 14.

    Titus 2:11–14

  468. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to

  469. all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires,

  470. and to live sensibly, righteously, and godly in this

  471. present age. Looking for the blessed hope and

  472. the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Christ

  473. Jesus, who gave Himself up for us to redeem us from every

  474. lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own

  475. possession. Zealous for good deeds, for good

  476. deeds. So there ought to be production

  477. happening in your life. You ought to be producing what

  478. it is that God has put within you to become in this life.

  479. Amen. With your families producing

  480. godly hair inheritance, you know, with with at your business

  481. producing godly business to where people would want to work

  482. for you producing. Come on.

  483. The Kingdom of God in every area of your life.

  484. Hallelujah. This is what He wants, and this

  485. is what can take place for those who will fear Him, really fear

  486. Him. Look at Psalms 96 and 9.

  487. Worship the Lord in the beauty of His Holiness.

  488. Fear Him. Fear before Him all the earth

  489. fear Him you see that fear him Proverbs 16/6 by loving kindness

  490. and truth, sin or or iniquity is atoned for and by the fear of

  491. the Lord. 1 keeps away from evil.

  492. So this goes with those scriptures that we were just

  493. reading ahead of time that listen, when you fear the Lord,

  494. it's going to keep you from doing evil.

  495. When you fear, when you truly fear Him, you're not going to

  496. want to participate in those fleshly deeds, in those evil

  497. works because you fear Him. So fearing the Lord will keep

  498. you from sin, fearing the Lord will keep you from these things.

  499. And so it's so important. It's not just loving him, We

  500. talked about that, but it's fearing Him dreading that you

  501. would not produce what it is that He needs for you to produce

  502. as a believer and disqualify yourself or not become what He

  503. has in store for you to become. Amen.

  504. Now look at Proverbs 8813. It says the fear of the Lord is

  505. to hate evil. The fear of the Lord is to hate

  506. evil. I don't want anything to do with

  507. it. I don't want to be around it,

  508. any evil workings, any of it. And it's not just evil like

  509. witchcraft or be or do and say on no evil.

  510. Evil is anything that goes against God's word.

  511. That's just period. Because God is good and the

  512. devil is bad and he's a liar, and he is the one that is the

  513. worker of evil, all sorts of evil.

  514. And so you don't, if you fear him, you don't want to

  515. participate in it. You don't want to be around it,

  516. you don't want to be near it. You actually want to flee from

  517. it. You want to flee.

  518. But we have to ask ourselves, are we running towards it?

  519. Because if we run towards it, then there's No Fear.

  520. This is an indication that you do not fear the Lord.

  521. I mean, there is no simple no other simple way to explain it.

  522. This is just scripture clearly speaking, clearly speaking.

  523. OK, and So what does it says? The fear of the Lord is to hate

  524. evil, pride, arrogancy and the evil way and the forward mouth

  525. do I hate. Then he goes on and Proverbs

  526. 1416 it says a wise man feareth and departs from evil.

  527. See, when you know, when you don't fear him, you are not

  528. going to walk in the wisdom of God.

  529. You're not going to walk in the wisdom of God, and you're not

  530. going to be able to discern that you know what?

  531. This is evil and I shouldn't participate in it and I'm not

  532. going to participate in it. You see that I'm not going to

  533. participate in it because I fear Him and I'm going to depart from

  534. evil. It says, but a fool rages and is

  535. confident. See, a fool will run towards

  536. evil, but we have to recognize that He's letting us know as

  537. believers that if we fear him, we'll depart from it.

  538. We'll flee from it, we'll hate it, we'll hate it. 1st

  539. Thessalonians 5, First Thessalonians 521 through 23

  540. says this. But test all things carefully so

  541. that you can recognize what is good.

  542. Here it is, we'll be able to recognize what is good, hold

  543. firmly to that which is good, abstain from every form of evil,

  544. withdraw and keep away from it. Now may the God of Peace Himself

  545. sanctify you through and through, that is, separate you

  546. from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and

  547. undamaged, consecrated to Him, set apart for His purpose.

  548. And may your whole what spirit, soul and body be kept complete,

  549. and be found blameless at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  550. See, it's not just good to get born again.

  551. No, He expects us as those that get born again, it brought into

  552. the Kingdom of God, that we would begin to renew our mind to

  553. the Word of God. That we would begin to allow

  554. ourselves to be molded and shaped and fashioned into the

  555. person that He wants us to become.

  556. So that our spirit, our soul, and our body, He wants our body

  557. blameless. Which again goes to that

  558. crucifying of the flesh every single day and dominating it,

  559. dominating it, right? Dominating this body and putting

  560. it under and putting it into subjection.

  561. The Bible says bring it into subjection.

  562. This body has to submit to what you say, to what you say.

  563. We have that authority. And he wants it all blameless.

  564. All blameless. He wants it all sanctified.

  565. Come on. He wants it all sanctified.

  566. Proverbs 2814 all sanctified. That's why he tells you, don't

  567. you know if you lay with a a married person, come on, I'm

  568. right there in the bed with you in Corinthians.

  569. It's not on my notes. That's a little side note.

  570. I mean my Lord, I mean I fear God and what his word says and

  571. knowing that he sees everything. I am open and exposed.

  572. There's nowhere I can hide from him, and I sure can't hide in

  573. the dark, in another, in another man's bed.

  574. You see what I'm saying? Because he's there.

  575. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  576. No, I'm a run from it, far from it.

  577. And that's how we ought to be with everything His word says

  578. that we ought to be fleeing from right, fleeing from it, keeping

  579. away from it. Proverbs 2814 how blessed is the

  580. man who fears always. You know what this tells me that

  581. there could be times that you don't fear that you got to stir

  582. UPS of fear the Lord within your.

  583. That's why he says, teach me to fear the Lord.

  584. You got to stir that fear up, OK?

  585. You got to stir it up just like everything else.

  586. How blessed is the man who fears.

  587. Always listen. But what happens if you don't

  588. fear him? But he who hardens his heart

  589. will fall into calamity the minute you choose not to honor

  590. His word. What happens?

  591. We know a hardening can start happening the minute you choose

  592. to disobey his word, to disobey his voice when he's constantly

  593. trying to speak to you about some things, the heart, and you

  594. don't fear him by obeying it. See the hardening do you know,

  595. just like in the natural as Pastor was talking about, I

  596. think it was Sunday, you know, about how when he was whatever

  597. we went and had blood work done. And So what was happening in his

  598. 20s because all the burgers from Crystal's that he ate at

  599. McDonald's because he loves a Crystal burger.

  600. I call him worm burgers and I never go through there ever.

  601. We have not eaten fast food in probably over 15 years anyway.

  602. So, I mean, unless there's desperate times like we're in

  603. another country and you're tired of chicken Curry and you see a

  604. McDonald's, you go and you don't get a real burger, you get

  605. chicken. They call their burgers, they

  606. call their burgers and it's chicken because you know, they

  607. don't eat cow meat because they worship it, right.

  608. So when Pastor Ajay is say you want to get a burger, I, I know

  609. it's not a burger. It's it's a piece of chicken

  610. chicken burger, OK, It's not a hamburger OK, y'all get it you

  611. know you get it anyway, what was I saying?

  612. Oh, yes, from eating all of this stuff, all this junk food, you

  613. know, and he got his blood work and what has happened, See in

  614. your body that you don't see the hardening of the arteries, does

  615. it? Does he fall dead overnight?

  616. Most people don't know. It's years of abuse of allowing

  617. the hardening of the arteries. And it's the same thing with the

  618. Word. When we don't fear him, when we

  619. don't honor him, when we don't put Him first, when we see

  620. something in the Word, when we know what to do, when we don't

  621. do it, the Scripture calls it sin to us.

  622. And as we do that over time, what's happening, the hardening

  623. of our heart, the hardening of our heart, those arteries are

  624. getting clogged and at some point it's going to resist you

  625. and you're going to come face to face with it.

  626. And it isn't anything that's happened because of all of a

  627. sudden. No, it was years of not fearing

  628. the Lord and obeying Him and yielding to His Word and

  629. yielding to His Spirit through your life and through your walk

  630. with certain things that He may be speaking and tweaking and

  631. trying to adjust in your life doesn't just happen all of a

  632. sudden. See people that he says that is

  633. in the last of the last days. They'll be that great apostasy

  634. and falling away. It's not because of the the

  635. devil is so strong in these last days.

  636. It's because they refused for years to submit and yield to his

  637. word. All along they've disobeyed His

  638. word and not yielded to it. They're born again, right?

  639. Sitting in churches, but never yielding, never obeying.

  640. And what's happening? The hardening of the heart, the

  641. grieving of the Spirit. Even the Bible talks about it.

  642. We can grieve the Holy Spirit to where He stops talking.

  643. And then you're not. You going to have a 400 years of

  644. silence. So these are all things that we

  645. have to realize that This is why this fear of the Lord is

  646. necessary. Because if you'll keep this at

  647. the forefront of your heart and in your life, then you'll be

  648. quick to obey. You'll be quick to respond.

  649. You'll be quick to yield to what it is in his word he's telling

  650. you to do because you know it's only good for your, it's only

  651. for your best, It's only for your benefit.

  652. Just like Pastor said, the word is not there to be negative to

  653. you. It's only a positive to you.

  654. When you yield to it, it will become negative.

  655. If you choose not to obey it, it will become a negative OK.

  656. There will be consequences when you don't yield, OK, to your

  657. lot, to the word. So the hardening, we don't want

  658. that to happen. Proverbs 17, just a few more

  659. scriptures and we'll close. The fear of the Lord is the

  660. beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and

  661. knowledge. So what's he saying?

  662. The fear of the Lord. Listen, we'll keep you in a

  663. place to what the knowledge of His Word, but when you choose

  664. not to want it, come on. When you choose, you become a

  665. fool. When you despise the instruction

  666. of the word, or you choose to not want to walk in it, you

  667. choose not want to be obedient to what the Word is saying or

  668. yield to what the word says in your life, you'll become a fool.

  669. Amen. Don't despise it, just as Pastor

  670. said, don't let it be a negative.

  671. Always let it be something that you run towards and you want.

  672. And you know that when he speaks.

  673. It's life, it's life, it's life, it's love.

  674. Everything in His word towards you is only for your good and

  675. for your benefit and for your growth and to walk in all that

  676. he desires for you to walk in. Deuteronomy 529 says this.

  677. Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear and

  678. worship me with all filled reverence and profound respect

  679. and keep all my commandments always so that everything what

  680. will go well with them and and your children when you choose as

  681. a believer to bring your children to church And you sit

  682. up underneath the word and your children hear you sitting up

  683. underneath this word and they're receiving the same words you're

  684. hearing and they see you disobey his commands and not do it.

  685. Come on now. It's going to affect their life.

  686. It's going to affect their life. And the same is true on the flip

  687. side. If you obey His word and you

  688. walk in what it is God's asking you to walk in as a believer and

  689. you're loving the Lord with all your heart and you're doing the

  690. things as you're yielding to it through the process of your

  691. journey and walk with Him and your children see it, then guess

  692. what? It is going to go well with you

  693. and your children, but when you choose not to obey His

  694. commandments, it'll affect them as well.

  695. There will be consequences. It affects your whole family.

  696. It affects your whole life, right?

  697. And and again, this is so important for us to recognize.

  698. Hebrews 12/24 says this. Wherefore we are receiving a

  699. Kingdom that cannot be moved. Let us have grace whereby we may

  700. serve God acceptably with reverence.

  701. Here it is and godly fear for our God is a consuming fire.

  702. He tells us how we ought to serve Him and we ought to serve

  703. Him. How?

  704. With reverence and godly fear. With reverence and godly fear.

  705. Hebrews 12/14 Follow peace with all men and holiness without

  706. which no man will see the Lord. With holiness, because fear will

  707. equal holiness in your life. When you really truly fear Him

  708. and walk it out, holiness will be produced within your life

  709. because without it, no man is going to see the Lord.

  710. That's what he says. You see that without which no

  711. man will see the Lord, which is you're not going to see him if

  712. you're not going to be in a position of holiness with the

  713. Lord. Psalms 89.7 God is greatly to be

  714. feared in the assembly of the Saints and to be held in

  715. reverence by all of those around him.

  716. So I've said this too, is that when we come in this place, this

  717. place ought to have such honor and reverence for the things of

  718. God. See, we can't treat what's holy

  719. as uncommon or common as common. What's holy is common because

  720. it's not common. No holiness in the fear of the

  721. Lord is something very precious and.

  722. When we come in here, we ought to recognize that his when when

  723. he shows up and his presence is here, we ought to be in such

  724. honor and respect and thankful that his presence is with us.

  725. When we all come together. We know His presence is with us

  726. when we're by ourselves because He lives on the inside of us.

  727. But when we come in collectively, we are going to

  728. bring forth the presence of God in a corporate way.

  729. And that is something that is so precious and so beautiful, and

  730. it is not common. It is holy.

  731. And we have to remember that. And it comes through US.

  732. Positioning our hearts with the fear of the Lord.

  733. Amen. Positioning our hearts.

  734. I want to read this last Scripture as they come.

  735. Acts 931 Now this is that book of Acts, right?

  736. The first church church dispensation after it was poured

  737. out. Acts 931 it says so the church

  738. throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace being

  739. built up and they were going on in the fear of the Lord.

  740. They were going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort

  741. of the Holy Spirit and it continued to increase, to

  742. increase. So the fear of the Lord was seen

  743. among the church and we know in the book of Acts, Acts chapter

    Acts 4 chapter mention

  744. 4, where he talks about too, that when people looked upon the

  745. church, they could see the grace of God upon it.

  746. And here we're recognizing that they recognize the fear of the

  747. Lord within the church, within the church.

  748. Amen. So I just encourage you, let's,

  749. let's do an evaluation, do an evaluation of are we really in a

  750. position in our heart that we fear him, that we, we fear him,

  751. we, we honor him, that means we honor his word.

  752. We do what His word says in the midst of everything we're going

  753. through. Whatever it is that we're

  754. dealing with, we're going to do His Word because we fear Him.

  755. I'm I, I don't want to be in a situation without His word in my

  756. life. I always want to honor His word

  757. because I fear Him.
