Father, we just thank you and praise you for opportunity to
-
get together and those that are coming tonight, just help them
-
get here. I know it was predicted to rain
-
and some people have different thoughts about that, but we got
-
business to tend to. So we're going to, we're going
-
to get everything out of tonight that we can.
-
We thank you and praise you in advance for the outcome.
-
And we're just going to work together trying to get, get some
-
dialogue going tonight, not just to me and the monologue, but I
-
do have some questions and I'd like to see if everybody can
-
help us answer them. And I'll give you praise in
-
advance for it in Jesus name, Amen, Amen.
-
I want to, I want to let you know Saturday night I had a
-
dream and no big, I can't tell you where it was.
-
It was like, you know, I can't tell you where it was, but a
-
verse in the dream came to me and I've never had that happen.
-
I mean, an actual verse and, and, and actually it's in the
-
Bible. All right.
-
It was Deuteronomy chapter 22, verse nine.
Deuteronomy 22 chapter mention
-
I've never been in a dream where I heard someone say, and this is
-
what the deal was. I heard someone say you need to
-
know Deuteronomy 22 verse 9. And so I set up, I woke up just
-
right after that happened. I woke up and I said, Lord,
-
what's going on? And this is probably about 3 or
-
4 in the morning. And and I go, what's what's,
-
what's going on? And I grabbed, you know, I
-
grabbed my phone and I looked it up and I said, that is an
-
interesting verse. I said, so is there something I
-
need to know about it? What's happening?
-
Where am I going? You know that I'm going to need
-
that. Obviously it's Kingdom first
-
Business alliance on Tuesday night.
-
So we're going to start here, right with this verse.
-
I want you to listen to this though, because I, I started
-
asking the Lord some questions and we're going to start asking
-
questions tonight. And, and you guys are going to
-
help me get the answers. Melanie is not in yet.
-
So do you have the capability to write down some scriptures?
-
OK. And then you can send them to me
-
after we're done because I'm. I'm going to open it up.
-
Hey, bro, how are you? Are you good?
-
All right, You got a phone on ya.
-
Open. You don't have your phone.
-
OK, well, we're going to we're going to we're going to record
-
this. We'll record it.
-
OK, so we're good. All right, listen to this verse.
-
Listen, listen. Deuteronomy chapter 2, verse 9,
-
it said you shall not sow your vineyard with diverse seeds,
-
lest the fruit of thy seed which you have sown and the fruit of
-
the vineyard be defiled. And I thought that was kind of
-
weird, you know, that and, and, and as I was sharing, I had a
-
dream Saturday night. I'd never heard, you know, the
-
Lord ever give me a scripture and a dream.
-
It's usually something weird that, you know, pizza or
-
something. And, and, and as clear as I've
-
ever heard anything in this dream, it was this Scripture,
-
Deuteronomy 22, verse 9. And so I looked it up, woke up,
-
looked it up. And then I went ahead and I
-
start asking the Lord. I said, what are we talking
-
about? And he goes, OK, let me ask you
-
a question. The Lord says who's who is
-
divine? And I said, well, the word says
-
you are and that we are your branches.
-
And he said, and so, and what is the seed?
-
And I said, well, you said that the seed was your words.
-
And so he's he when he said that, he said, you know, when
-
you and it's interesting. I mean, this is like out of the
-
blue. If you look at it, you know, you
-
look at it, you the thing before it talks about, you know, you,
-
you in verse 8, you know, you build a new house.
-
You're not making the battlement for that roof and bring not
-
blood upon thine house. If any man fall from there, you
-
know, and he talks about then out of the blue, he said, now if
-
you're going to sow seed in a vineyard, he said with divers
-
seeds, he said don't do it. He said, lest the fruit of the
-
seed which you have sown and the fruit of the vineyard be
-
defiled. And I and, and the Lord told me
-
as I was sitting there, and I think, OK, you're the vine,
-
we're the branches, your word is seed.
-
So what's this other seed? And he said it's the word of
-
everybody else that if you mix the thoughts and the words of
-
other people and you listen to them and you begin to mix them
-
with what you know the word says about any situation, your
-
business, your health, your family, your kids, your
-
grandkids. If you begin to mix in there, he
-
said it will defile the good seed.
-
He said, and here's the deal, you won't see the harvest you're
-
expecting. Now, this is just one.
-
This is Sunday morning at about four that the Lord and I are
-
visiting about this. And so, you know, I begin to I
-
begin to remind myself of what he said about His word being
-
seed. Now jot this one down.
-
Mark 4. We have the parable of the
-
sower, all right. And if you remember there were
-
four types of soil and it said, you know, and he tells it in a
-
parable form and the disciples are always wanting to know how
-
come you always talk in parables?
-
And he lets him know, He says, because the things of the
-
Kingdom and the secrets of the Kingdom I have given to you, You
-
have them. But he said by everybody else,
-
they don't know. So that's why I tell them
-
parables. Really what parables were for, I
-
believe, is to build a curiosity that you would hang with the one
-
that spoke the words to see what it really, really meant.
-
Because think about this, you know, the disciples, he gave
-
them a call, all right. And a few others he gave calls,
-
but he didn't he, he said, come follow me.
-
And they dropped everything and they followed him.
-
OK, So when when we see that Jesus saying, listen, the words
-
that I'm going to tell you and the words that I'm going to give
-
you, all right, are going to be what you need to plant a good
-
life makes sense. Those words that we plant from
-
him. So he's telling us that if we'll
-
plant his words, he said, it's really never the seed that's the
-
problem. It's your heart that's the
-
problem, he said. The the the heart that was hard,
-
he said. The the seeds scattered on it
-
and the birds came and picked it up.
-
Then he said the next one, he said, was the ones that were
-
sown on Stony ground. They didn't have much earth in
-
them. They sprung up, but because
-
there was not a lot of earth that it could get to, it
-
basically withered away. And then he told them, then
-
there's a Stony ground and they this, I mean the thorny ground.
-
And they choked the word out and they could not, they could not
-
produce anything. But he said there's the last one
-
he said is good ground. And when they planted it in that
-
good ground, they produced. All right.
-
So when he's talking about what he's talking about, then they
-
begin to ask him, you know, OK, why are you telling?
-
Can you explain this parable to us?
-
That's what they got because they sat around the one that was
-
given the words and had the desire to hang with him.
-
He was able to expound, all right.
-
Everybody else went home and thought, well, that was a nice
-
story, but they didn't get the meaning of what he was talking
-
about. So what does he say?
-
He tells him, he lets him know, and he even asked him a
-
question. He said, how do you not know
-
what this is? If you don't know this parable,
-
you won't know any other parables because what?
-
It's about sowing seed. Everything in our lives is about
-
sowing seeds in the business realm.
-
It's about sowing seeds, OK, in, in, in, in our health.
-
It's it's sowing the right seeds.
-
You can't sow cigarettes and reap clean lungs.
-
OK, So in this verse, jot this down being as you came in.
-
It is I I talked about on Sunday morning early about 3:00 or 4:00
-
in the morning in a dream. I was, I was dreaming.
-
I know that because my wife says I'm always snoring.
-
So I know I'm dreaming while I'm snoring.
-
And, and you know, one time I was snoring and the kids had
-
never heard anybody snore. And, and Charlie just got so
-
upset. He's growling at me.
-
He's growling at me. And I said, and she goes, no,
-
honey, it's not, it's called snoring.
-
It said, you know, I'm really surprised your daddy ain't
-
snoring. OK.
-
And so, so anyway, you know, when we, we, we when I was
-
dreaming, I, I heard the Lord tell me a verse.
-
I don't know where it was. There was no location.
-
I just heard these words and it says you need to understand
-
Deuteronomy 22 nine. I never had a dream where
-
somebody quoted me a scripture ever.
-
Never 60 how old am I634, something like that.
-
Never had a dream where somebody quoted me scripture.
-
I woke up, I immediately went got on, you know, my phone to
-
find that scripture. And then I had a discussion that
-
morning with the with the Lord about it.
-
And so that's what we're getting denied a little bit about
-
understanding the seed time. And he says in here, he said
-
don't mingle your seed. In other words, as he told us,
-
his word is our seed. So don't mingle it with the
-
words of the world. You can get caught up in like,
-
you know, you know, some of the things that the news and, and,
-
and people's opinions and, and all of those different things
-
you can get in the, you can get those types of opinion and they
-
can affect you and sometimes hinder your harvest.
-
So you want to make sure, you want to make sure that you know,
-
you're not doing what Deuteronomy 22 nine says, he
-
said in there. He told us again, he said do
-
not, he said do not sow your vineyard with diver seeds, at
-
least unless the fruit of thy seeds which you have sown and
-
the fruit of the vineyard be defiled.
-
He said don't, don't be taking words from the world and trying
-
to mix them and make it fit with the things of God.
-
For instance, OK, there's a lot of time.
-
I've been there. You've been to different
-
seminars. All right, The guys that are
-
doing the seminars, we don't know nothing about them.
-
We don't know if they're born again.
-
We don't know. We don't know anything about
-
them, all right? And so we listen to their words
-
and we try to apply them. But you know what, we might be
-
trying to apply something that is adverse to way the Kingdom
-
thinks. So we have to be cautious.
-
You know, I had somebody one time and they came up to me and
-
said, yeah, my business coach and and he's a member of the
-
church and he said, he said, yeah, my business coach is
-
telling me to do this, this, this and this and this.
-
And really first question out of my mouth is, is he born again?
-
He goes, no, no, I can kind of tell he's not born again.
-
And I said, well, then why are you taking his advice?
-
Because Psalms 1 is very clear. You know, blessed is the man
-
that does not take the, the, the counsel of the ungodly.
-
And he said, so be very, very careful that you don't hear
-
those words and you don't apply them.
-
Try to apply them. You got to be very cautious with
-
sticking with Jesus now. So when we talk about how
-
important the word is, it reminded me of when we had
-
everybody that was most everybody here when we had
-
Bishop Garraway for three days, OK.
-
And, and, and he said something that I mentioned when I was
-
preaching on healing one night. He said in there, he, he made a
-
comment, even though he was here totally for finance and
-
understanding money and different things like that, but
-
he made a comment that said most believers cannot give me 10
-
scriptures on why they should be healed or they can be healed.
-
He said most believers cannot give me 10 scriptures.
-
I said, that's pitiful, right? I mean, especially if you're
-
seeking healing, you'd think you'd want to know what the Lord
-
had to say about that. Well, tonight I'm going to ask
-
you for 10 scriptures that talk to us about our businesses.
-
And in the line, most of them tell us that God wants us
-
successful in the business. He is a God of increase.
-
He's showed us that with the parable of the talents.
-
I'm going to give you one right there in the 25th chapter of
-
Matthew, we have the parable of the talents.
-
All right, the master came back, expect an increase to the extent
-
that the guy that didn't give him the increase, he called him
-
wicked and lazy. All right, so there's none of us
-
in here that want that title. Wicked and lazy is not part of
-
what you know we are looking for.
-
But think about it for a minute, because I got 1 chapter that I
-
could get most of 10 of them out of.
-
But let's let's expand our minds a little bit.
-
I've got Melanie in the back writing down.
-
I'll tell her whatever you say and then you're going to help me
-
also. So I have mouth of two or three
-
witnesses on all the scriptures. All right, But somebody give me
-
a scripture that tells us that it's God's will for us to be
-
successful in our businesses. Now, not everybody at once.
-
Now Matthew 18, 19. What is Matthew 1819 an
-
agreement? OK, all right, Matthew 1819, jot
-
that one down. What does it say?
-
Somebody know it by heart, yet said if any two or two or more
-
agree concerning anything that they ask, it will be given to
-
them. And my father, does anybody know
-
that scripture? So that tells you right there.
-
For that scripture to work, you've got to at least have
-
somebody with you, right? All right, so most of us have
-
our, you know, mates involved in some fashion or another with
-
what we're doing. So there's two of you.
-
And then every now and then you might need to go get that third
-
person. But look at that scripture and
-
everybody jot it down because I'm going to make a list.
-
I'm going to be one way or another getting it out.
-
What was it? It said that if 2 of you shall
-
agree on any as touching anything that they shall ask, it
-
will be done for them by my Father, which is in heaven, OK.
-
And then he said for two or three gathered together in my
-
name, there I am in the midst. All right.
-
So if you want Jesus in your business meeting, you want Jesus
-
in your board meeting, all right, you need to have at least
-
two or three believers with you in this meeting, OK?
-
Because he said, I'm with you all right.
-
Now one of the things in here, and I want to I want to point
-
this out because when it says as touching anything, a lot of
-
people take that literal, all right, that we need to touch and
-
agree that word touching does not necessarily mean touching.
-
The word touching means concerning, all right?
-
So if you replace it, he said that if 2 of you shall agree on
-
earth as concerning anything, right, it isn't an act of
-
touching. It's the act of concerning.
-
And you know what's interesting? If you bear the Greek out,
-
you'll find out this is about financial contracts and and
-
financial things. That particular passage in a
-
when you look at those words in the original Greek, it's a it's
-
a financial transaction more than anything else.
-
But we use it all the time. Oh, Lord, you wouldn't believe
-
what the, you know, devil's trying to do to my body.
-
I need somebody to agree with me, all right.
-
But in context, if you if you do the study, you'll find out it's
-
a it's a financial transaction that he's he's telling you to
-
get with you get with somebody about it.
-
OK. So I've been the third person in
-
many, you know, when people have come and said, hey, you need to
-
pray with us, this is going down, this is going down.
-
We have this and this, you know, you may need that third person,
-
all right, to go with you. So that was a good one.
-
That was a good one. You got it.
-
Everybody got it. All right.
-
Yeah. Give me another one.
-
What? Deuteronomy 818.
-
OK, Deuteronomy 18818 Deuteronomy 818.
-
You know what that says? He has given us the power.
-
All right, 818 But you will remember the Lord your God.
-
And he said, and it is he that has given you the power to get
-
wealth, that he may establish his covenant, which he swear
-
unto thy fathers as it is this day.
-
All right, I love that verse because basically when it says
-
in there, he said, you shall remember the Lord your God, for
-
it is he that has given you the power.
-
The word power there in the Hebrew is the word ability.
-
OK, He has given you an ability and not only an ability, but it
-
bears out in there. It's a creative ability.
-
I had a friend in Oklahoma and he was a a financial guy and a
-
new new personally knew a Miles Monroe and I met him at a
-
seminar that I was conducting for a magazine that I was
-
writing for Business magazine. And it was, it was interesting
-
story because when I, what happened was we were taking
-
registrations for this, this seminar and we had an early bird
-
special. If you've ever been to a sermon,
-
are, you know, to get you to sign up early, you get a
-
discount off the price. Well, we had already gone
-
through that period of time and we hadn't taken any in our
-
office. We opened our office up to take
-
them to help the magazine so that they weren't overwhelmed.
-
We just gave both phone numbers and people call.
-
Well, I got a phone call and one of my secretaries went ahead and
-
took the call. She goes, we just got our first,
-
you know, person to sign up for the, the seminar and, and, and I
-
forgot that at the bottom of the form you're filling out over the
-
phone, it said bring a person for free early bird special.
-
Well, we were past the early bird special and she didn't know
-
that she wasn't supposed to ask to bring a person for free.
-
And so I thought, OK, it's all right, just tell him to look for
-
me, ask for me, and I'll get that guy in, all right, And, and
-
we won't have any problem. I'll just get him.
-
I'll walk in with him. All right, So one of the things
-
in the seminar that I didn't think about was doing comment
-
cards. You know, this is my first
-
seminar, All right, comment cards on how did you like it?
-
You get anything from it, Whatever.
-
So I made a decision. I'm calling everybody that came.
-
And it was amazing because it was in November, right after
-
Thanksgiving. We had a snowstorm, all right?
-
And it was a real light one. And Caleb came in, my second
-
born came in, said daddy. He said it's not sticking to the
-
streets. And I said, well then maybe
-
we'll have somebody show up. And we did.
-
We had the whole banquet room that we had rented was
-
completely fool. And I said give me the names of
-
everybody. I'm going to call them.
-
Well, I called the guy, his name was Toby.
-
And Toby said, he said, man, I loved it.
-
He said, you know, the other guest speaker that you had come
-
in, he was great. You guys did a really good job.
-
You know, I love the basketball story that your friend told and
-
and the whole bit he said, but the person you really need to
-
talk to is my friend Tim that you got in for free.
-
He said his father-in-law does seminars.
-
And I said, OK, I said, I'll give him a call.
-
Gave him a call. And I asked him.
-
I said, hey, Tim, this is Randy Clay, did you enjoy?
-
He said, I could have used a whole lot more of you and not of
-
the other guy, you know. And I said, well, thank you for
-
that. He said, but he said, man, Randy
-
is really good. The only thing you need to
-
develop is something we can take home with us.
-
And I said, well, I was told that your grant, your dad in law
-
was a seminar guy. And I said, what was his name?
-
And he said, Bob Harrison. And I go, I know Bob Harrison.
-
I've been to many of his seminars and he was a Christian
-
car dealership guy and, you know, made millions of dollars
-
and but it was all in through the processes of the Kingdom of
-
God. And in fact, he did a lot of his
-
seminars with Norville Hayes. If you've ever heard of him and
-
Norville is your business guy, you know, that is also a
-
fivefold minister. And, and I loved Norville's
-
teachings on finance and different things like that.
-
But he, he had several seminars. Well, you know, Tim basically
-
was in the midst of learning seminars and doing seminars and
-
he came up with a curriculum and we did it here.
-
It was called the Power to create.
-
And I and, and he signed everybody that it was in
-
attendance, signed everybody a hardback copy of his book.
-
But he also had videos of stuff. I invested several thousands of
-
dollars. Help him get off that off the
-
ground with it, right? One of the thing he bears out
-
about this scripture, he said it's not only the ability, but
-
he said it's the power to create.
-
God has given us the power to get wealth or to create wealth.
-
And he, it goes along the lines that I've taught for years
-
before I ever heard him teach on it was the fact we were made in
-
the image of God. How many of us heard it?
-
Genesis 126. Made in the image and the
-
likeness of God. Is it open?
-
Yeah. Is it running down?
-
OK. Looks like they're paint or
-
something. All right.
-
Keep coming. Keep coming on the rain.
-
All right. And he he taught that in the 1st
-
chapter of Genesis before we get to let us make man in our own
-
image everyday. God I got up and the first thing
-
that happened he said, and God said, let there be light.
-
And he said, and there was light.
-
He saw that was good. The evening and the morning were
-
the first day. That's what it says.
-
All right, so you see say the first introduction that we have
-
to God is and God said, but every every time you see evening
-
and the morning was the first day, the second day, the third
-
day, the next three words after those scriptures is and God said
-
every single day, couple of days he was busy and he said and God
-
said two or three times in that day.
-
But The thing is, is that when God speaks, things are created.
-
We were made in His image and His likeness.
-
The question that I've asked many times is, what are you
-
saying when you get up about you and your business and what you
-
want to see come to pass? Are you speaking to your morning
-
or are you just letting whatever comes come?
-
See, I think Lord needs us to be a little more deliberate than
-
that. OK, so we have it at
-
Deuteronomy. 818 is a great one. Give me another one.
-
Somebody else, Michael. Yeah.
-
Joshua 178 and 9. We should all have that
-
memorized. That's going to be your signing,
-
you know. So you go ahead and jot them
-
down because you're going to need to know these.
-
All right, So he tells him, What does God tell Joshua?
-
He meets with Joshua and he tells him.
-
He said be strong and of good courage.
-
All right, turn over there. Look at it, Joshua one.
-
Yeah, 7-8 and nine. Usually we all look at 8:00, we
-
memorize 8. But it's interesting because I'm
-
going to give you, I'm going to give you a little nugget on this
-
one. All right, Verse 7 only be
-
strong and very courageous, that you may, you may observe to do
-
according to all the law which Moses my servant gave is
-
commanding you. Turn not from it to the left,
-
right, to the right hand, or to the left, that you may prosper
-
whithersoever thou goest. OK, you need to underline that
-
word prosper. OK, that and, and it says, and
-
this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but
-
you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe
-
to do according to all that is written therein, for then you
-
will make your way prosperous. Underline that word prosperous.
-
It is a totally different word in the Hebrew.
-
OK then the first word prosper we saw and he said and you will
-
have good success. All right, so when he tells on
-
and he go back to six, I did. Did you say 678 and nine?
-
OK, you know 6 was be strong and good courage and and he's, you
-
know, encouraging. I mean he said you're going to
-
give an inheritance to the people 9 He said, have I not
-
commanded you be strong and a good courage, be not afraid
-
neither be dismayed for the Lord that God is with you
-
whitherever. So you go, all right.
-
So whithersoever you goest means anywhere you goest all right.
-
But notice this. He said in here, this is a, this
-
is a promise that he tells him, he said that you may prosper
-
whithersoever you go in verse 7. That word prosper is the Hebrew
-
word sakal. And it's interesting because it
-
doesn't have anything to do with money.
-
It doesn't have anything to do with finance.
-
It has nothing to do with accumulation.
-
It is the word circumspect. And the word circumspect means
-
to be cautious or look and see intelligently.
-
That is the definition of that. So he's letting them know
-
advance. He said, you're going to be
-
courageous. He said in there, you know, and
-
he said, do not turn away from my commandments.
-
What are the commandments? They're seeds.
-
It's the word of God. It is you must do this if you
-
want to prosper, if you want to be able to see intelligently or
-
be cautious, you've got to be somebody that is sowing his word
-
continuously. Verse 8, when you go down to the
-
bottom and notice this, he said, listen, he said the word of this
-
law, it'll not depart out of your mouth, but you'll meditate
-
there in day and night that you may.
-
And here's the two reasons why. 1, you want to observe it when
-
you observe. And this isn't a casual glance.
-
This isn't just Oh yeah, I noticed you're over there.
-
OK, This is a you stare it down and you look at every possible
-
facet of it and he goes in there because there's one thing that
-
you have to do, he said. You observe the word of God only
-
for one reason to do it. If it's a commandment, that's
-
all you're looking for is you got to do it.
-
All right. So he goes in here, He says that
-
you may do according to all that is written there and then notice
-
this, for then you will make your way prosperous and you
-
shall have good success. So when he says you will make
-
your way, He didn't say I will make your way prosperous.
-
He said you will make your way prosperous because I don't know
-
if you noticed, but it is US walking, OK?
-
It ain't Jesus. We ain't on him piggyback.
-
And he's walking around wherever he wants us to go, we're
-
walking. And he said if you want to make
-
your way in there, He said your way.
-
The word way in the Hebrew is the word Derek.
-
It means a road, OK? So he said he'll make your Rd.
-
prosperous. This is a different word in the
-
Hebrew. It is the word to salak, OK.
-
And to Salak means to move forward, to be profitable and to
-
succeed. It doesn't mean accumulate
-
goods. It doesn't mean, you know, get
-
you a storehouse. We'll talk about that.
-
Somebody's bound to hit it tonight, OK.
-
But when he talked about in there, he said, listen, you're
-
going to make your way prosperous.
-
Because if you go back to the first time the word prosper is
-
mentioned in the Old Testament, I believe it is the 4th, the
-
24th chapter of Genesis, where the servant of Abraham went to
-
go find Isaac a wife. And he saw the young maiden
-
coming to the well. And he asked the Lord a question
-
and was wondering if the Lord had prospered his journey or
-
not. The word prosper in the Old
-
Testament and in the New Testament have to do with
-
journey and purpose. OK, we've, we've gone over that
-
before and and those of you that graduated from school when I
-
teach on economics, all right, that he said, listen, he said it
-
is, it is the journey that you're looking to what to push
-
forward. Whatever your purpose is,
-
whatever you're trying to accomplish, you want it to
-
succeed. You want it to be profitable.
-
OK, so he said that that is the word.
-
It's the same thing in the 1st chapter of Romans verse 10.
-
In there Paul says I hope to have a prosperous journey coming
-
to you and that was the Greek word version of the word
-
prosperous and it had nothing to do with finance.
-
The word prosperous only mentioned three times in the New
-
Testament, but boy do we have a doctrine three times and two of
-
those times is in one verse. So now I have two verses that
-
have the word prosperous or prosper in it and it has to do
-
with the journey because the Greek word is the Greek word you
-
adao coming from 2 words good and adao comes from hadas
-
meaning a road. So the thing about that
-
definition in prosperity is it having a good road or a good
-
journey. That's the definition.
-
And so those are that God has guaranteed us in there.
-
He said you'll be prosperous and you'll have good success.
-
So he's letting us know, yes, that's my will for you on your
-
journey, whether you're in business, whatever you know the
-
thing you're creating or the service you're rendering or
-
whatever the thing. He wants you to be prosperous.
-
He wants you to continue to push forward.
-
He wants you to continue to be profitable.
-
He wants you to, you know, have an influence in the earth in
-
whatever trade the Lord has given you to be an influence for
-
him. OK, give me another scripture.
-
How many? We got?
-
Three that way. I'm going to count those three
-
as one. OK, All right, give me another
-
one. Somebody give me one. 2nd
-
Corinthians 9. OK, verse 6.
-
Is that the one? Yes, yeah, He that sows
-
sparingly will reap also sparingly.
-
He that sows bountifully will reap also bountifully.
-
OK, I'm going to give it to you one more time, and I hope
-
somebody in here gets it OK 'cause it's like water off the
-
duck's back out there. Listen carefully, OK?
-
The revelation of the Lord let me have on this one blew me
-
away. And I've read this scripture
-
dozens of times. I used them when I was in
-
Oklahoma. I was the offering taker upper
-
guy. OK, so for 20 years, taking up
-
offering, I can't tell you how many 20 years.
-
I can't tell you how many times I used that verse and didn't
-
even know what it was saying. All right, It says he that sows
-
sparingly will reap also sparingly.
-
He that sows bountifully will reap also bountifully.
-
Sparingly means stingy. OK, when you see the word
-
bountifully, everybody thinks abundance having what you need,
-
it'll be it. The Greek word for that word is
-
the word you. Just like I said, you hadas.
-
OK, you meaning good or well, but then it's logia, LOGIA you
-
Logia is the word there and it means to speak beautiful words.
-
So the action from us is when we come and we sow, it's not how
-
much we sow, it's not what we're sowing for.
-
It's what are you saying when you sow it now you can go.
-
The exact same word is used. When Jesus fed the 5000, he said
-
bring me the loaves and fishes, said he held them up and blessed
-
them and then gave to his disciple the word blessed.
-
There is the same Greek word eulogia.
-
So for us to come and get ready for offering and Pastor has to
-
say, if you need an offering envelope, raise your hand.
-
You're late. You're too late 'cause you don't
-
have enough time to speak over what it is the Lord's blessed
-
you with. You're trying to hurry and write
-
it all down before the bucket gets there.
-
So you're eliminating one part of God's blessing when he tells
-
us, listen, when you bring that offering bountifully, what
-
bountifully he wants to see in your offering is your words to
-
him. Now, let me give you a, a, a
-
scripture that you know, whether you were going to get it
-
tonight, OK? You didn't know you were
-
supposed to have any. I'm just going for, you know,
-
10. Boy, it'd be exciting to get 12.
-
OK, Jot down Deuteronomy 26. Deuteronomy 26 has to do with
-
the first fruit offering, and it says that you will bring an
-
offering of your first fruits to the priest in that day and said
-
it before that priest and tell him something.
-
Then it says the priest will take it to the altar and come
-
back to you and you will begin to say to him, and you give a
-
little miniature history lesson on how good God is to bring you
-
out of poverty. That's what it was about.
-
He said we were slaves, we were Syrian.
-
Our father was in bondage in the country.
-
And he said, and God by a mighty arm got us out of that country
-
and has brought us to a land flowing with milk and honey and
-
just goes on, on how thrilled they are about what God has
-
done. OK, that is beautiful words at
-
the time of offering. That's the example that is set
-
in there. Everybody got that.
-
That's that's a passage. A lot of people.
-
And I taught that for years. He was talking about the tide,
-
but he was not because there is the feast of first fruits that
-
talks about, you know, giving first fruit offerings and he's
-
letting them know when you give your first fruit offering.
-
So here's my suggestion. I don't wait until it's time to
-
give the offering. I don't wait until the offering
-
bucket is coming with the envelopes in it.
-
I take envelopes home now every one of them dudes has got dudes
-
and a dudette. We got a couple of dudettes.
-
OK, Anyway, we got a, we got a bucket and they have ton of
-
envelopes in there. I just reach down in there and
-
take out 1/2 inch and I take them to my office.
-
And when I'm writing all the tide checks and the different
-
things from the different companies that we have, I, I, we
-
spend time praying overdose, you know, and we want to make sure,
-
we want to make sure that, you know, we're speaking those
-
beautiful words and we've done it in advance.
-
We just don't wait to try to get it in there.
-
OK, You can, you can always tell, you know, people are
-
scribbling and they're handing ushers their envelope and ushers
-
trying to run down the bucket and, and you know, they'll be
-
calm down. Just take some time, you know,
-
and thank the Lord if you had a great week, thank him.
-
If it was a rough week, thank him for the next week is going
-
to be better. But you're going to sew.
-
You're you're going to sew and give to him.
-
All right in there. So somebody give me another
-
scripture. How many we got now?
-
4 Luke 638. That ought to be on your memory
-
list. Dear Lord, if you don't know
-
that one by now, oh, boy. OK.
-
But remember what what Bishop Garraway said.
-
He said, you know, some people, they can't, they can't, they
-
can't think of them when they need them.
-
And usually when you're in a tight and you've got, you know,
-
business that's not going the way you want.
-
You know, we just said, well, if we hang on, well, why don't we
-
apply little of the word? All right, Luke 638 giving and
-
shall be given unto you good measure, press down, shaken
-
together and running over shall men give into your bosom.
-
And he tells you with what measure you give with all it
-
will be measured to you again, verse nine OK, all right, so he
-
tells us Jesus, these are red. These are red letters.
-
Jesus said this, OK, Jesus is the one he said, listen, if
-
you'll give, it'll be given back to you.
-
I can't tell you how many times I've had people give to me.
-
There's some people that say I've never had, I've never had,
-
you know, I've never had anybody give anything to me.
-
Well, I don't just limit my giving to the church.
-
I bring the tithe. And when we have a project or
-
the Lord impresses on me because going who had who had Second
-
Corinthians 9? You had second Corinthians 9.
-
It goes on to say all right after it gets done with the
-
sewing bountifully. Then he goes on, For God is able
-
to make all grace abound to you, that you having all sufficiency
-
in all things may abound to every good work.
-
But he. But in between that verse and
-
the next verse, he said in there as a man gives, let him give not
-
of necessity, or he said, give out of your heart whatever you
-
said in your heart. Let him give not grudgingly or
-
necessity for God loves a cheerful or Greek hilarious
-
giver. And then he said then God is
-
able to make all grace abound towards you and and anything
-
that you have need of, he can get it to you, but he wants you.
-
If you read the passage in context, it said he wants you
-
not ready to pay all your bills. I didn't say that it said ready
-
to all good work. So here's your question.
-
What am I focused on? And so most of the thing, and
-
I've told people before. I said, if you saw me in the
-
spirit, I'd look like Dumbo the elephant.
-
I'm walking around the halls out there and I'm listening.
-
And every now and then the Lord will put me in a position and
-
I'll hear somebody that's going through something and
-
financially they need this or they, you know, they don't know
-
how I'm going to get gas to get home.
-
I can't tell you how many times I've heard that one.
-
All right. And then, and you know what I'm
-
saying, Lord, you're going to allow me to hear things.
-
And I'm sure that, you know, you let me know and I'll take care
-
of it. Well, you know, because it isn't
-
associated with the church, because there's another thing in
-
Scripture called almsgiving, OK? You're not supposed to let your
-
right hand know what your left hand is doing.
-
In other words, don't put it on an envelope, OK?
-
You know, you just bless them. I it's it, it's the, it's the I
-
love your brother handshake. Give him a lot of those.
-
You know, I've, I've given them to waitresses before.
-
Just recently I had one, we, I didn't realize it, but we had
-
sat in this gal's booth for three hours.
-
I felt bad. So I just pulled out a bill, put
-
it in my hand and she, I said, I really want to appreciate and
-
tell you how much I appreciate your service today.
-
And he'll be, I know we took a little longer than you probably
-
do because I know you rotate these tables about every 45
-
minutes. And we took a long time.
-
We had a lot of catching up to do.
-
And I just, you know, I just didn't want you not making that
-
money. And I handed her that, Oh, thank
-
you. You know, so you got to be
-
sensitive. But the fact is, is if you get
-
out, give outside the church when the Lord tells you to that
-
it makes you a candidate as you give to men.
-
It didn't say give to your church.
-
Good measure pressed down, shaken together.
-
He said you give you when you give it, it said that men will
-
be able to give back into your bosom.
-
So the question you also have to ask is how many bosoms have I
-
given into? Right.
-
OK, so that's a good, great scripture.
-
All right. Somebody give me another one.
-
What? Yeah.
-
Where is that 2911? Is that right?
-
Are you sure? I could have just thrown
-
something out there and y'all are just so confident.
-
Somebody tell me if I'm right. OK, so he said, and and there's
-
so many good, good translations of that, but anybody been doing
-
the Bible reading plan? We just finished him yesterday.
-
We finished Jeremiah yesterday. And I can't say that I'm going
-
to miss him. OK, You know, I mean, I'm
-
thinking, you know, between him and Job and and the major
-
prophets, man, I'm, I'm just thinking, OK, give me a break.
-
I mean, every time you read it, it never changes.
-
You're hoping for a happier ending, you know?
-
All right, 2911 here we go. Start off at 10.
-
All right, I'll start off at 10. Then I'll take that
-
recommendation that after 70 years to be accomplished at
-
Babylon. Am I in there?
-
He said I will visit you. I perform my good word towards
-
you and causing you to return to this place.
-
All right, now, how many times has pastor said that God always
-
keeps his word. OK, now this is interesting.
-
You let him know. Judgments coming.
-
Y'all been 2 step, not stiff neck for too long.
-
OK, so babylon's coming. But if you'll submit yourself to
-
them, OK, I can bring you back. We know that a lot didn't, OK?
-
A whole whole lot said no. You're lying, Jeremiah.
-
You're a liar but notice in in in 11 he said for I know the
-
thoughts that I think toward you says the Lord thoughts of peace,
-
not of evil to give you an expected end.
-
You know, other translations said to give you a hope and a
-
future. Here's here's the thing that we
-
really have to come to grip God's force and the word tells
-
us if God's for us, then who can be against you?
-
You know, I had somebody who was it the other day.
-
Was it you, Seth, The only thing that you got out of anything
-
that I ever said was they can't eat you.
-
Where were you the 1? You know, because we were going
-
through some financial stuff and and I had AI had a good friend
-
that was a multi millionaire in Australia and we were doing some
-
back and forth. This is during the Gabriel call
-
and and the whole bit. And so I was communicating with
-
him and and I was talking about, you know, we were having some
-
challenges with some debt and some different stuff like that.
-
Business wasn't, you know, exactly where I wanted business
-
to be, you know, to be able to get that under control and the
-
whole bit and then and he goes, one thing you need to remember,
-
man, they can't eat you. You got to think, no, they
-
can't. I guess if you're weighing
-
things out, you know, probably the worst thing in the whole
-
world to happen is get eaten. But if they can't eat you, you
-
know, So I thought that's good. Now it's funny to me that that's
-
the only thing you remember I said, but OK, OK, I got it.
-
I got it that I, I got it, I got it.
-
All right. So he said in there, he said, I
-
know the thoughts that I have thoughts of peace and not of
-
evil. I mean, we, we got to take that.
-
We got to know that, all right. And to give you an expected in
-
or a hope in the future. That's what God's about.
-
All right. I mean it, it didn't like we all
-
showed up and surprised him. Oh, no, where did they come
-
from? I mean, he had it laid out what
-
you're supposed to be doing the the purpose that you have in
-
life. So that is a fabulous scripture.
-
That's a good one. All right, give me another one.
-
Come on, let's get with the Hicks. 10/22 What I was going to
-
do that one. That was one I was going to give
-
you. Anybody who know it.
-
A blessing of the Lord makes the person rich.
-
And he adds no sorrow with David.
-
OK, you want to break it down, you enrichment?
-
That's good. You write that down or what'd
-
you do? Where'd you come up with that?
-
Is that your commentary in your Bible?
-
Oh, the different translations. OK, I got it.
-
I got it. All right.
-
So in there he says what he said, that the blessing of the
-
Lord maketh rich and adds no sorrow with it.
-
OK, Now, when he said he said the blessing of the Lord makes
-
rich. That's what we want more than
-
anything. We want the blessing of the
-
Lord. All right.
-
God blessed Abraham. It says, it didn't say he was
-
rich. It said he was very rich.
-
To me, there's a difference. OK, so he was very rich because
-
he had the blessing of the Lord. It was upon him.
-
All right. If you want to know the blessing
-
of the Lord and it and, and I was wanting, nobody's gone there
-
yet, but go ahead and jot it down.
-
It's Deuteronomy chapter 28, verses one through 14.
Deuteronomy 28 chapter mention
-
That'll cover all 12 of your Scriptures.
-
All right. But notice he said, He said if
-
you'll hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God and
-
do what he has commanded to do, He said, I will command this
-
blessing to come on you and overtake you.
-
So he says it's the blessing of the Lord that we won't now when
-
that one scripture, you know in in Proverbs 10, he said and adds
-
no sorrow with it. The word sorrow, it comes back
-
from one of the words in in the the Old Testament chapter 3.
-
All right, Genesis chapter 3 where the curses came on them
Genesis 3 chapter mention
-
because of disobedience. OK, he told man think about
-
this. What did the devil tempt them
-
with? Their provision?
-
It was a tree that provided for them.
-
It was all around the provision and he was trying to get him off
-
of God. Will God really provide for you?
-
You know, and what God say? He said every tree in the garden
-
you can freely eat, but the tree of the knowledge of good and
-
evil in the middle of the garden, you're not going to eat
-
it because the day you do, you'll surely die.
-
So when you take a look at when you take a look at at the curses
-
that when he cursed the devil, you're going to crawl on your
-
belly. There's going to be an enmity
-
between her seed and your seed. All right, you're going to you
-
know, you're going to bruise his heel.
-
He's going to crush your head. Then he goes steps over to Eve
-
and said, because of what you've done, you're going to have
-
trouble and and and pain in childbearing.
-
All right. Then he walks, stands over and
-
he said, because you've done this cursed is the ground
-
because of you. What was that?
-
I'm not going to be able to help you with your provision.
-
You're going to go out there by the sweat of your brow and
-
you're going to go to work now because of the curse you
-
brought. I always wonder, you did this
-
all right? God let him.
-
You did this. And he said in sorrow you will
-
toil the ground until you return back.
-
The word sorrow there in the Hebrew is the word
-
worrisomeness. Now they're going to have to
-
worry. They've never had to worry
-
before because everything was provided.
-
But he said because of the curse, now you're going to have
-
to worry about where your provision is going to come from
-
because it's going to be it's going to be on you.
-
OK, So when he says this in there, he said there in in the
-
10th chapter of Proverbs, you know, he said the blessing of
-
the Lord make his risk and adds no sorrow with it.
-
In other words, when the blessings of the Lord come, it
-
adds no worry. Worry is eliminated.
-
Anybody ever worry? Come on, raise your hand.
-
Jesus comes tonight. Who's going?
-
You honest. Be honest with me.
-
Come on now. All right.
-
That's the thing that we have to worry about is worrying.
-
He don't want us worrying. OK?
-
He gave us a whole chapter about it.
-
If anybody finds that OK. But I encourage the Deuteronomy
-
28 verses one through 14, right? That one there gives you all the
-
promises of the blessing. OK, when the blessing comes on
-
you, you're going to have plenty in your storehouse.
-
You're going to have plenty of things to eat.
-
You're going to have rain in this due season.
-
You're going to have everything that God intended for you to
-
have. But the qualifier is verse one,
-
if you will hearken unto the voice of the Lord your God and
-
do according to what He has told you to do.
-
And it's interesting in the Hebrew, the word hearken is the
-
same word as obey. So God just don't want you to
-
hear it. He wants you to do it.
-
All right, So that's where we've got to.
-
We've got to get an understanding when we hear
-
something from the word, He's not just saying that because
-
it's something cool to say. He's saying he expects
-
obedience. If we want to see the things
-
he's promised, we have to use that on a daily basis.
-
All right, what else we how many do we have?
-
310 and I've only got 10 minutes.
-
OK, is that 10? Oh, here's a bonus, Malachi 310.
-
I know you have never heard me teach on it.
-
OK, everybody else better be able to figure out, huh?
-
OK, tell you again. All right, Malachi 310, bring
-
you all the tithe into the storehouse that there may be
-
meat in my house proving out here with, says the Lord of
-
hosts. If I'm not open the window to
-
heaven and pour you out a blessing that you shall not have
-
room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer
-
for your sake and your he will not have cast your fruit before
-
the time or your fields will not be empty.
-
OK. Is my translation all right?
-
When you talk about that scripture, there's 2 words in
-
there that a lot of people get hung up on, and it's the windows
-
of heaven. All right.
-
Now, first thing you got to know is who he's writing to.
-
He's writing to an aggregate society.
-
A lot of people have this picture of God.
-
He's sitting up there. U tithe.
-
He opens the window and starts throwing out United States
-
American cash. That's the picture.
-
That's not the picture. OK.
-
I don't even remember seeing anything about windows in
-
heaven. Heaven.
-
The 3rd Heaven. OK, All right.
-
Anybody remember the Hebrew word for Windows?
-
Anybody. That might be worth 20 bucks if
-
I had it on me. Huh.
-
Wait a minute. That's a damn and is breaking
-
through. Oh, that's pretty doggone close.
-
It is the word Aruba. It is a water sluice.
-
A water sluice is a lock at the head of a large body of water,
-
like a lake. It opens up and it starts a
-
river. OK, That is the word windows.
-
The word heaven is the word shamayam in the Hebrew, and it
-
means what the sky and it says the visible arch where the
-
clouds dwell. So when he's talking to this
-
aggregate society and he said the windows of heaven will open
-
and he said, and you'll not have room enough to receive it.
-
In simplicity, all he's talking about is rain.
-
How do I know that? Because that's not the only
-
place windows of heaven is used in Scripture.
-
Genesis Chapter 7 it said the windows of heaven were open and
Genesis 7 chapter mention
-
rain descended upon the earth 40 days and 40 nights during the
-
flood of Noah. Chapter 8 says the windows of
-
heavens were restrained. The window of heavens were
-
closed and the rain was restrained.
-
OK so what's he saying in the 3rd chapter there?
-
OK, of Malachi said, listen, he said bring the tithe into the
-
storehouse and I will pour you out a blessing, OK?
-
We all want the blessing, but the blessing to them was rain
-
according to Deuteronomy 28 verse 12.
-
He said if you obey what I'm doing, I'm going to pour, I'm
-
going to give you this blessing and rain and it's due season was
-
part of that blessing. Then he goes on and he says, he
-
says in there, you'll not have room enough to receive it.
-
See, the only reason I did a study on that is 'cause I
-
thought I had more room and it wasn't filled yet.
-
I mean, I'm looking at people and saying, you know, when you
-
pulled your car out of the driveway, out of the garage, did
-
you have to kick the money back in there so you can shut the
-
door? I mean, that's the picture that
-
some people paint. And I said, and so when I
-
understood it was about the rain, because there's no
-
container on earth that can hold all the rain, No container.
-
But it's interesting, the next phrase in verse 10, it says in
-
there he said there shall not be room enough to receive it.
-
That phrase, only 7 words in that phrase are in the original
-
text. There's only three words in that
-
text that not enough. Instead of saying you know that
-
I'll pour you out a blessing. You will not have room enough to
-
receive it. Only three words in that whole
-
phrase are in existence in there.
-
So I said, well, they could be translated.
-
Then bring the tithe in the storehouse.
-
I'll pour you out a blessing and I'll open the windows head, pour
-
you out a blessing. And if that's not enough, I will
-
rebuke the devourer for your sake, and he shall not destroy
-
the fruit on the vine and your crop in the field.
-
So in other words, he's saying, listen, here's the test.
-
And he said, prove me now. It's the only place in Scripture
-
God says put me to the test. You know, most of the time we're
-
tempting God with all kind of crazy stuff.
-
You know, he said don't tempt the Lord your God.
-
But he says in there, he said, listen, he said prove me now if
-
I'm not open the window, heaven. So I told the Lord, I said
-
that's great information, but I don't know how it applies to me
-
because I don't like gardening. I said I can't grow nothing.
-
I said, in fact, if I had my way about it and the HOA was OK with
-
it, I just paved my yard and paint it green.
-
No more mowing, man. No more mowing, OK, But think
-
about that when he said that and I said, so Lord, what are you
-
trying to tell me? And he said it's simple, Randy,
-
listen, if you'll take care of what you can take care of by
-
bringing the tithe, I'll take care of the things in the
-
marketplace. You can't.
-
I mean, there's so many different things that have
-
happened, you know, in my life financially that I had, I had
-
no, no, nothing but God, but I knew I was tithing.
-
I call on that covenant. I said Father, I'm a tither.
-
I said that this situation I'm in right now, I just ask you
-
right now, you turn it around. You said all things work
-
together for good that are called according to your
-
purpose. I'm called here according to
-
your purpose. So turn this into a good
-
situation for us, you know. So what do we got?
-
That was 11/12. That was 10.
-
OK, all right, well, we reached the goal.
-
Everybody write them down. That was good, you know.
-
So, you know, start the day with those scriptures, speak into
-
existence what you want to see happen tomorrow, right?
-
Use the word because he loves it.
-
He just wants to know if you know it, But most people, they
-
won't take the time to memorize it.
-
I didn't look up, but a couple of them and I already knew what
-
they were because they're on the inside of me.
-
Just like the healing scriptures, you know, I, you got
-
to be able to quote those, you know, so that you can change
-
the, the, the financial realm, because that's what the, the
-
tide does for us. The tide changes the financial
-
realm into the Kingdom of God because we're doing what he
-
asked us to do. That's the only way he can get
-
involved in our stuff is that we are able to.
-
He says you bring the tithe, your money changes jurisdiction
-
when you give an offering. Oh, it for sure changes
-
jurisdiction and he has something to work with you on.
-
Anybody get anything from yourselves?
-
Way to go. You guys are awesome.
-
All right, so let's have a word of prayer and and we'll get out
-
here about four minutes early. That's good.
-
All right, Father, we thank you and praise you that we have the
-
opportunity to get together and just go over some of your word
-
as it concerns us that we don't want to be sewing wrong seed.
-
We want to sow the good seed of your word that you've promised
-
us in the past. We just need to rehearse it.
-
We need to go over it and over it and over it.
-
And Father, we thank you and praise you that every business
-
and every management position and every job that is in here
-
tonight is blessed of you. Just show us where we need to to
-
be, what we need to do, where we need to give.
-
Give us those opportunities to allow you to get involved with
-
what we're doing. We thank you and we praise you
-
for all your goodness and we thank you in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Amen. The.
