  1. That we thank you and praise you for the opportunity to come

  2. together and that the preparation and the different

  3. things we've been able to accomplish in just such a short

  4. time, you know, from meeting with pastor, I'm grateful.

  5. And I just ask that tonight as we go through the lesson and we

  6. look at the Scriptures, see in the Kingdom arena of business

  7. where we're supposed to be, you know, launching ourselves and

  8. and being able to take care of ourselves.

  9. Thank you for those in attendance tonight.

  10. Thank you. We're going to be able to

  11. accomplish great things for your name and for the Kingdom and,

  12. and along with bringing as many people with us as we can, we

  13. want to give you thanks in advance for that in Jesus name,

  14. Amen. We are going to be, we are going

  15. to be having a meeting with pastor.

  16. We first of all is going to be Seth and I OK, Seth and pastor

  17. have been getting together on some things And, and then Seth

  18. and I went in and had a meeting. Golly, I don't know remember

  19. when that was. It's first of the year probably.

  20. And you know, just talking about some things that we wanted to

  21. add to king of first business alliance.

  22. And so we, you know, we're going to we've got some things

  23. planned. We've already got all the way to

  24. the end of the year planned. And then we're going to be

  25. getting with pastor on some new things that we're wanting to do,

  26. which includes, you know, a podcast that we can easily get

  27. to and you're not thumbing through the whole thing.

  28. We're going to be consistent on getting something on the podcast

  29. every month. And when you get your and most

  30. of you, everybody got a text or an e-mail or both.

  31. Everybody get a text, e-mail or both.

  32. Bob, your Shay, Bob, Bill, did you get one?

  33. OK, Hi, that might be a problem. OK.

  34. And did you get it? You're going to get his data.

  35. OK. I wanted you to have it more

  36. than anything. OK was the reason why is that

  37. you and I talked about the lesson from last week it he will

  38. send you the link to get on it and that way you can get it to

  39. your wife and have her, you know, be caught up with you.

  40. OK, so that's that's the plan. And one of the things that we're

  41. going to try to start doing is put the link on the

  42. communications that we're going to do every month.

  43. That's just something that we've not been able to do.

  44. Seth knows how to do it. I didn't know how to do it and I

  45. couldn't wait on media to do it. OK, You know, 'cause it's just,

  46. they're so far out and now they're less handed than they

  47. were when we started this whole deal.

  48. All right? But so anyway, there's some,

  49. there's some things that we're going to be presenting and

  50. changing and encouraging you to just stay with us because it's

  51. going to be go up from here. You know, I just felt like over

  52. the last couple of years we've had some lols, you know, just

  53. come here, listen, come here, listen.

  54. And we're going to change some of that, OK?

  55. I think it's going to be pretty exciting.

  56. All right, get your Bible, get it open to Matthew chapter 13.

    Matthew 13 chapter mention

  57. It's going to be a biblical scripture standpoint that I'm

  58. going to go with tonight on communication.

  59. And when we talk about communication, one, it's going

  60. to be talking about speaking. And when we speak, there's

  61. certain things that we have to make sure that we're saying, OK,

  62. now this is the account of Jesus.

  63. And, and I'm going to break some things down and I'm going to

  64. just, I'm just going to keep going with it if I can to be

  65. able to get a good flow with this.

  66. But this is what it said. It said.

  67. And the disciples came and said unto him, why do you speak thou

  68. to them in parables? Unto them in parables.

  69. And he said, And Jesus answered and said unto them, Because it

  70. is given for you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of

  71. heaven, but to them it is not given.

  72. I thought that was interesting. OK, that Jesus said, There's

  73. going to be some in the earth that are going to be given some

  74. secrets, and some that are not all right.

  75. Then he goes on, and he says, For whosoever hath to him shall

  76. be given, and he that has, he'll have more in abundance, and

  77. whosoever hath not from him shall be taken away, even that

  78. which he had. Verse 13, It said Therefore

  79. speak I I to them in parables because they sing they can't see

  80. and hearing they do not hear neither do they understand.

  81. So one of the things Jesus is educating us on in understanding

  82. communication that there's going to be people that are with you

  83. and they're going to get it and there's going to be some people

  84. wonder what in the world are you talking about?

  85. And he tells us he said those that will spiritually try to get

  86. in tune with what you're saying. All right, he said they're going

  87. to get more revelation. He said more they'll have an

  88. abundance. It's going to come more, it's

  89. going to come more, it's going to come more, he said, but those

  90. that really don't have, you know, any interest in hearing

  91. what's going on, he said the very things that they do have

  92. will be taken away from them. So when we when we see Jesus

  93. illustration, you walk through his whole ministry with him in

  94. his whole ministry, the the disciples asked that question.

  95. They said, why do you speak unto them in parables?

  96. So that must have been the way Jesus spoke to everyone in

  97. parables and he and they want to know why, Why can't you just

  98. speak plainly to them? And he lets them know, he says,

  99. because you've been given the secrets of understanding the

  100. Kingdom. And he said, but they haven't.

  101. And I had to ask the question, why haven't they?

  102. Why haven't they begin again been given that?

  103. And it basically boils down because the way he explains it,

  104. he said, he said those that have more will be given to him.

  105. They'll have an abundance. Those that don't have, he said

  106. it taken away. It's basically a desire to hear

  107. what's being said. They followed Jesus, they wanted

  108. to hear Jesus and and I believe that he did parables to one get

  109. their attention. All right, there's so many

  110. different, you know, in the Greek of understanding the word

  111. parabola, which is the word parable, but it said it's an

  112. earthly story. One of the definitions I learned

  113. as a little kid and I even found it in your Bible app.

  114. It said it is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning or

  115. heavenly purpose. So Jesus is telling these things

  116. and and they're saying, well, that doesn't make sense.

  117. But if you've been given and understanding because you won't

  118. let him and his word go, you're going to be the 1A candidate to

  119. be able to hear what he's got to say.

  120. And so when we talk about our own communication, all right,

  121. one of the things that I've seen over the years is that the

  122. people that we love to listen to are the ones that can give us an

  123. illustration with what they're saying.

  124. We may not remember verbatim what they say, but I tell you

  125. what most people, and I'm going to give you some stories

  126. tonight. You'll be able to tell anybody

  127. else. All right, And people remember

  128. stories and and we always have. Jesus knew that they're going to

  129. you know, I mean, I don't how many out of the 70 that showed

  130. up that he proclaimed as a disciples sent them out two by

  131. two. How many of them one day woke up

  132. and got it. Wait a minute.

  133. I think this is what he's talking about, you know, and

  134. telling each other. Remember that parable he told

  135. us, you know, about the woman that was sweeping the house and

  136. she lost a coin and she swept the whole dirt floor, right?

  137. And it swept it and found that coin and, and got all excited or

  138. the, you know, the 99 sheep and went and go found the found the

  139. one that was missing. You know, he's telling these

  140. stories to get their curiosity. This is in communication.

  141. We always need to keep a level of curiosity, not so much of

  142. what you're going to say to them and hoping they catch it, but

  143. you need to have curiosity of what someone else says to you.

  144. All right, to be able to get it and get an understanding and

  145. find out. This is a problem with a lot of

  146. us, OK, Sometimes we act like we ain't got time for nothing.

  147. Oh, we're just too busy. Somebody's trying to

  148. communicate, you know, with this real important.

  149. You know, there's a movie that I loved as a kid growing up called

  150. Snowball Express. I don't know if you saw it was a

  151. Disney movie. OK Dean Jones was one of the,

  152. you know, highest paid actors for Disney back in the 70s and

  153. 80s. And it was so funny.

  154. His in this in this story, he inherited a hotel in Colorado.

  155. So he leaves his high paying job in New York and drags the whole

  156. family to this hotel that they say is making money and stuff.

  157. And it is empty cobwebs everywhere.

  158. All right, furniture upside down with covers on it.

  159. And they're thinking we got to live here, right.

  160. Well, it was funny when it all came down to it.

  161. There was a banker that wanted the property for all the

  162. minerals and all the trees and all the stuff on the property.

  163. And he he gave the guy some money to get started knowing he

  164. wouldn't be able to pay it and he was going to foreclose on it.

  165. And the kid kept, you know, wanting to interrupt his dad.

  166. He just says, don't bother me right now.

  167. I'm thinking about this. Don't bother me right now.

  168. I'm thinking about this. Well, her, you know, it hurt his

  169. feelings and the and the boy didn't say anything.

  170. And mom said here was a note from the the boy.

  171. And he said, you know, you want to make a ski resort out of this

  172. place. And he said you can't figure out

  173. how to get the tow rope up on the hill.

  174. And he said, and why can't the tow machine tow itself up on the

  175. hill? Well, he said, he's a genius

  176. man. And they did that.

  177. Well, then there the next opportunity, when they were

  178. getting ready to foreclose on the property, the boys start

  179. speaking up again. And the dad's going, hold on,

  180. Richard, hang on a second. And he goes and he stops.

  181. He goes, what would you like to say, Richard?

  182. And he said, well, he said, I think that I heard that if there

  183. wasn't a library or a hospital in the town that it reverted

  184. back to the original owner, which was your uncle.

  185. And everybody looks over at the banker and he says, you got an

  186. aspirin, you know. So The thing is we're, when we

  187. take the time, you know, to listen, you know, we that that's

  188. the two parts of communication. So, you know, tonight, let me

  189. give you a definition. This has always been my

  190. definition for effective communication, just not talking

  191. and, and, and somebody, you know, you hear people over here

  192. doing this and doing that, but when you're really trying to

  193. communicate, this is what you're going to do.

  194. This is my definition. It says the ability to paint

  195. pictures in the mind of others. Let me just read it.

  196. It said to clarify a subject being discussed or bring a

  197. desired world to result to a particular task.

  198. So effective communication is being able to paint pictures of

  199. the outcome you'd like to see, whether it's a, you're

  200. discussing something about whatever or you have a task that

  201. you're trying to explain. All right.

  202. And, and you have to be a good communicator because if you're

  203. not a good communicator, if you're not painting the right

  204. pictures, I've had this happen. All right.

  205. Yeah, I said it set everybody down.

  206. This is what we're going to do, team.

  207. This is what's going to happen. So when we had to get at the end

  208. of the conveyor belt, this is what I want to see, right?

  209. And I get, you know, I go about doing what I'm supposed to be

  210. doing. They're all doing what they're

  211. supposed to do. And I get to the end of the

  212. conveyor, and it ain't nothing like we talked about.

  213. Now, haven't we all played that game, you know, where we had the

  214. whole front row filled up? And I go over here and whisper

  215. to Seth and I say something to him.

  216. And by the time he gets to the end, it is so messed up.

  217. It is so far on what we originally said, it's hilarious,

  218. OK, We don't want to play that game in real life.

  219. It's too expensive. It takes up too much time.

  220. All right, so there's some considerations that I want to

  221. give you tonight. I have 4 of them that I want to

  222. give you and with some with some scriptures and I want you to jot

  223. these down to your interpretation.

  224. OK, you don't have to go verbatim, but here's the first

  225. one. The effectiveness as a

  226. communicator will be the result of your heart.

  227. OK, when it comes down to it, really what you're going to be

  228. communicating is what's on the inside.

  229. Jesus told us that, all right, He said, you know our heart.

  230. And here's the thing we need to understand and we need to

  231. understand about the heart. You know, we see the heart in

  232. the Bible and we and, and, and very rarely does it point to the

  233. pump or the organ in your chest that moves blood around.

  234. That's not what it's talking about.

  235. The heart has always been described, even though in the

  236. language it is talking about that cardia is the Greek word

  237. for heart and it is the Greek word for the heart that pumps

  238. blood. All right.

  239. But in Scripture, it has always been to the deep seated part of

  240. man on the inside and, and, and it controls things like thoughts

  241. and emotions and desires, affections, purposes, endeavors.

  242. All of those are the heart. OK.

  243. And so we've been warned about our heart because of things that

  244. can happen now. Matthew chapter 12, jot this one

    Matthew 12 chapter mention

  245. down 33 through 37. Listen to this.

  246. This is Jesus talking in the Scripture and he says either

  247. make the tree good and its fruit good, or else to make the free,

  248. make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt, for the tree is

  249. known by its fruit. Now you know Pastor said, hadn't

  250. he recently even he said I'm a fruit inspector.

  251. Now notice what it does not say. Anytime you see the word fruit,

  252. it does not say you'll judge them by their fruits.

  253. The word says you will know them by their fruits.

  254. You will have knowledge of what they're about by what they're

  255. saying. And he warns us in here.

  256. He says, now you are generations of Vipers, how can you be evil?

  257. Speak good things. And he said, and out of the

  258. abundance of the heart, and we get this scripture, out of the

  259. abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak.

  260. And he goes on. He said, now good man out of the

  261. good treasure, you need to underline that good treasure of

  262. the heart brings forth good things.

  263. The evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil

  264. things, Jesus said. But I say unto you that every

  265. idle word that men shall speak, they will give account thereof

  266. on the day of judgement. Now I'm going to, I'm going to

  267. break a couple of words down in here to give you an idea.

  268. One, I like the word idle. OK.

  269. The word idle basically means unemployed.

  270. OK, so in other words, Jesus saying the words that you say

  271. when they go out of your mouth ought to be putting something to

  272. work He says in there. He said, you know it also.

  273. It also has the the meaning of uselessness and one that is just

  274. lazy. OK, so you have words that are

  275. lazy, words that do not produce anything.

  276. He said beware of those. Do not be a partaker or do not

  277. be a speaker of those kind of words.

  278. Then he gets in there and he says, for by your words you're

  279. justified and by your words you're condemned.

  280. Now here's the questions that we have to ask about the

  281. communication from our hearts. Here's the question, is your

  282. heart full of good treasure or evil treasure?

  283. Now he tells us real specifically.

  284. And I thought this interesting and being as my boy Brandon is

  285. here tonight, he won't remember this, but I tell this story

  286. often outside of his presence. But one day we were sitting

  287. upstairs. We were upstairs and he comes

  288. and he's holding this book. He goes, this is the dumbest

  289. name of a book I've ever seen. I said, what's the name of the

  290. book? And he said, thesaurus.

  291. And I go, well, that means you don't know what that means.

  292. That's a Greek word and it means a collection or a a, a

  293. collection of precious and valuable things.

  294. A thesaurus. I know you don't remember it.

  295. I remember it like yesterday. OK, All right.

  296. And and I, I thought it was so funny because in the Greek, the

  297. word treasure is the word thesaurus.

  298. It means a place which are good precious things are collected

  299. and laid up. OK, now think about it.

  300. A thesaurus that he was holding in his hand was a collection of

  301. some things. And in matter of fact, it is the

  302. only thing that we call a thesaurus.

  303. It was a collection of words, right?

  304. OK, so you, when you think about it, that when Jesus talked

  305. about, Jesus talked about, he said thesaurus.

  306. He said, you know, it is a it is a collection.

  307. It is something valuable, it's something precious, but it's a

  308. collection that is laid up. Now when we take a look at that,

  309. he said, he said for the tree is known by its fruit.

  310. OK, And we could say your heart is known by the fruit.

  311. And what did he say? He said out of the abundance of

  312. the heart, we're going to hear it out of your mouth.

  313. All right, so in Galatians Chapter 5, we find out what

    Galatians 5 chapter mention

  314. good, good fruit looks like, don't we?

  315. He said the fruit of the spirit is Lovejoy, peace,

  316. long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness,

  317. temperance. Against such there is no law.

  318. So he tells you that if you have a good heart, the words that

  319. ought to be coming out of your mouth are going to be that set

  320. of words. All right, And they have songs

  321. about it, you know, in our kids ministry and and everything like

  322. that. But let's what about an evil

  323. heart? Listen to this Matthew chapter

    Matthew 15:18

  324. 15 verses 18 and 19. All right, He said, but those

  325. things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart and

  326. they defile a man. For out of the heart precedes

  327. evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications,

  328. thefts, fault fault witnesses and blasphemies.

  329. Notice in there. He said, I, I looked at the two

  330. and I said, well, you know, as far as the word thefts, that

  331. there's a lot of people that I know in business that have been

  332. thieves with their words, such as tell you one thing and do

  333. something different or say this is the quote and then make up

  334. stuff to have the quote be higher than it was.

  335. Oh, well, we forgot about this. Oh, we didn't know about this.

  336. Oh, we did. You got to be careful because it

  337. it it looks like you're lying. You got to be careful of that.

  338. Know your stuff, all right, Know what's on the inside.

  339. OK, now you know, here's another way.

  340. And, and one thing that I I think that I could be as pastor

  341. said it don't be proud. Be pleased with yourself, All

  342. right, is that I have never had to communicate using profanity.

  343. OK, now I've had a lot of Christians use profanity on me.

  344. And then they would maybe apologize and call it French,

  345. Pardon my French, OK? And it's just a cuss word is

  346. what it is. And you know, I heard one time

  347. one guy said they said don't worry about it.

  348. If it wasn't in there, it wouldn't have come out.

  349. And I said, oh, man, you know, But I've never had to correct

  350. anybody, you know, I haven't had to be harsh.

  351. I hadn't had to be critical or arrogant about them, all right?

  352. I just basically set them down and we're going to talk about

  353. this, You know, what you did wrong or what I'm doing wrong or

  354. why were we not getting along all right?

  355. But you don't have to use profanity on it because to me

  356. that loses credibility if you can't communicate using the

  357. English language in its pure form.

  358. All right, then you know, I, I wouldn't call you a good

  359. communicator. There's been a lot of public

  360. speakers that I have not listened to any longer because

  361. they just choose the word words of profanity, every other word,

  362. just whether they think they're cute, whether they're trying to

  363. make a point. You can do it without it.

  364. So you got to watch out what's what's on the inside.

  365. Now, here's one thing in communication that you can have

  366. a reputation that when they see you, all right, they might have

  367. just two thoughts. That's it.

  368. When they see you coming, OK, One of pain and the other of

  369. pleasure. I prefer that when somebody sees

  370. me, they're excited to visit with me, whatever I got.

  371. I mean, my reputation is one of a storyteller even among the

  372. littles, OK? But it's kind of funny because

  373. I've had people so excited for me to come into their office and

  374. sit down. We going to talk about business

  375. that tell me what happened lately and I'll have something.

  376. I'll always have something. Oh, man, I was, you know, out

  377. here doing this and I did this and fell out of this and tripped

  378. over this and and all kind of stuff.

  379. I mean, you know, not too long ago, Cassie, were you with me?

  380. I don't know anybody else in here with me when I went

  381. crashing over the the Dolly, you know, and, and, and it was, it

  382. was horrific, man. I mean, and it was so funny.

  383. I'm on the phone. I'm talking to Thaddeus, right,

  384. about something we need to fix. Well, they had hung a drape in

  385. the T-shirt shop, OK, in there. And I busted through that, not

  386. realizing that my grandchildren had taken a 2, you know, a 2

  387. Wheeler and pulled it out right behind that.

  388. So I didn't know. And I come through there and

  389. flipped over the top of that, held onto the phone, finish the

  390. phone call. I'm taking inventory 'cause I'm

  391. hurting. And I got a couple places that

  392. are ringing out louder than the other places. 1 was my elbow,

  393. right? And when everybody, you know,

  394. and the whole bit, I had the phone still in my hand, I called

  395. Josh, Josh, come get me. I, I, I have fallen and I can't

  396. get up. And he comes in there and I got

  397. one leg up on the the cart itself.

  398. I got the other ones and I'm twisted all up and he goes, what

  399. happened? I said, I ain't blaming nobody.

  400. I said just help me get up and get seated.

  401. OK. So he gets me out, brings me in

  402. one of those chairs right in front of your office, right,

  403. Right in front. And I'm sitting there.

  404. I got this, I got this golf ball growing out of my arm.

  405. You remember that and I mean, it was big as a golf ball.

  406. I'm not as it not joking. I mean, I got a witness.

  407. She was looking at that. She's going, man, I'm going to

  408. try everything I can to help you get over that.

  409. You know, I'm walking around looking like Popeye, you know,

  410. got that knot on my elbow. I had a skin on my I skipped my

  411. knee up, you know, because there's no carpet or nothing.

  412. It's concrete and I'm like, you know, and and you know, what is

  413. the deal about that? You tell that story and people

  414. start laughing and it wasn't that funny, but it is now.

  415. It's it's every accident I've ever had in my life.

  416. Because, you know, I've told you about Melanie.

  417. That's how I found out how this relationships going to go.

  418. Randy's going to come near death, OK, in an accident.

  419. And she's going to laugh us all the way to the hospital 'cause I

  420. did it one night. I hit my thumb with a hammer and

  421. I look it up at her, 'cause she's sitting on the porch and

  422. I'm putting stairs down it and it and it's getting dark and I

  423. can't hardly see. And I hit that wrong nail.

  424. I just, I just dropped the hammer, grabbed it tight as I

  425. could. Blood's coming out everywhere.

  426. And she looks and just bust up laughing.

  427. And I just looked at her and fell over.

  428. And I'm laying there in the front yard.

  429. It's getting dark. I don't feel like moving every

  430. every inch of my body is trying to work a plan that I don't want

  431. to participate in. Like get you got to get up, man.

  432. You got to get up. I don't want to get up.

  433. I mean, until the pain stops, which pain ain't going to stop,

  434. right? And I'm bleeding over

  435. everything, you know, finally get in to see how bad it was

  436. bad, wrap it up, you know, the whole bit.

  437. But I mean, I don't, I can't tell you how many times I've

  438. hurt myself. And she just thinks it's the

  439. funniest thing. I just, I, I don't get that,

  440. man. I'm feeling sorry for people,

  441. you know, I'm trying to help them with the pain management

  442. and stuff. All right.

  443. So, you know, that's the thing that we, we want, we want to be,

  444. is that when people see us coming, that we have something

  445. that we know we're going to talk about, something that we're

  446. going to discuss that, you know, and, and, and because you're a

  447. pleasant person, the inside portrays how you're going to

  448. talk, how you talk to your customers.

  449. How do you talk to your vendors? How do you talk to them?

  450. How you, are you having a good day?

  451. You know, asking them. Those are important.

  452. Let me give you consideration #2 all right, that we will

  453. accomplish most of our expectations if we're consistent

  454. with our communication. All right, now that you know,

  455. consistent, listen to this. If you want to be consistent,

  456. you need to be agreeing. You need to be compatible, not

  457. self contradictory. That was my favorite definition.

  458. All right, constantly adhering to the same principles, holding

  459. firmly together. Let me read them again.

  460. If you want to be a consistent communicator, you've got to be

  461. agreeing, OK? You've got to be agreeing with

  462. yourself mostly, all right, compatible, not self

  463. contradictory, constantly adhering to the same principles,

  464. holding the holding firmly together.

  465. You know, when you're monitoring expectations and, and you see,

  466. you know, someone taking a variation of what you've been

  467. talking about, you know, you need to, you need to ask them a

  468. question. And usually what this question

  469. will be is that, you know, you ask them, OK, why did we do

  470. this, this way? OK, you, you want to know what

  471. is it that I didn't communicate? What is it that we're going to

  472. do? And I, and I, and when I have

  473. some of the young people working for me, whether it's in the, in

  474. the, the T-shirt shop or whatever the case may be, I'll

  475. give you another illustration from communication.

  476. I mean, I, I showed one, one of our little team members how we

  477. do certain things, burning a screen, getting it ready to go

  478. to print and the different things like that.

  479. Got it ready to go. And I'm sitting there, you know,

  480. doing some calculations on some of the shirts and all the stuff

  481. that we've got to have. And I thought it was interesting

  482. is that she came in and she said, listen, she said, you

  483. know, that film positive, that thing that had that we're

  484. supposed to be shooting it is, is like rising up off of the

  485. table. And I go, what?

  486. I mean, I can't even picture this.

  487. She goes, I don't know. It's it's it's rising up off of

  488. the table. And I'm thinking, I've never

  489. seen anything like this. And I go in there and she had

  490. forgotten to put the plate glass on top of it to hold it down.

  491. And the heat was making it turn into a piece of bacon and no big

  492. deal. I mean, it's the first time it

  493. ever happened. I call it an incident, not a

  494. problem, all right, and we got a little incident, OK, So hey,

  495. let's let's let's remember, let's put the glass on top of

  496. it. It'll protect it, the piece of

  497. plastic and the whole bit. You'll be fine, OK.

  498. And so about 1520 minutes later comes in, said it's doing it

  499. again, OK, So when you hear somebody, somebody, somebody,

  500. somebody say it's happening again, it is just turned from an

  501. incident to a problem. We got a problem, OK?

  502. So I went back there and this was a time for communication,

  503. all right, and continuous communication.

  504. But I asked them, I said, tell me what can we do to make sure

  505. this never happens again? What do we need to do?

  506. Give me some ideas. Now be young.

  507. To be young and inexperienced means that you really haven't

  508. used your mind a whole lot. You might have used it in school

  509. 'cause we got a test coming, right?

  510. But real life, everyday problems, all right?

  511. I found it very difficult for their age group, which was, you

  512. know, mid high school to come up with a solution.

  513. I say, come on, give me something, communicate, talk to

  514. me. I I just don't know.

  515. And I said, you mean to tell me you can't tell me one thing that

  516. you could do that would remind you never to forget the glass.

  517. No, I don't have anything. I don't have anything.

  518. And I said, go get me a Sharpie. I took that Sharpie and right

  519. there there's a beam, wooden beam where the place that they

  520. set all this and to the hot lamps that basically metal

  521. highlight shop shop lamps. OK, that's what's cooking

  522. everything, right? And I wrote on that wooden beam,

  523. do not forget glass exclamation point.

  524. I said, will that help you? I mean, it's like the last thing

  525. you see before you turn that light switch on.

  526. They go, that's a really good idea.

  527. Well, the sad part was they didn't come up with it all

  528. right, because if you here's the thing about it, if you come up

  529. with an idea to solve a problem, you own it and and and I don't

  530. expect anything different out of you from here on.

  531. Now have they ever done it again?

  532. No, but the next person in line did it.

  533. I'm thinking, how do you guys come up with this?

  534. All right, so when we, when we talk about, you know, as far as

  535. being consistent, the the main thing that you'll hear when you

  536. have to go, you know, say why did this happen?

  537. What happened? What did we do?

  538. You're going to hear 2 words basically I forgot, OK?

  539. Those are the the most common Get Me Out of trouble words on

  540. the planet is that if you mess up something, all you have to do

  541. is say, man, I'm sorry, I forgot.

  542. All right, now let me give you some things to help you with the

  543. I forgot people, OK, All right, you got a meeting, you got a

  544. project, you got something. Number one, is this all right?

  545. Have everything that is going to be discussed in writing ready to

  546. hand it out. We're going to make some

  547. changes. I I'm not sure we're going to do

  548. it before the end of the year, but definitely after the first

  549. of the year is I want to go start doing handouts that you

  550. can fill in the blank with me. OK, because you'll remember it a

  551. lot better. OK, because not everybody's the

  552. greatest, you know, note taker in in the whole world.

  553. I understand that. All right, so I'm going to give

  554. you something to take notes on. Now, you know, some of you may

  555. have your only one guy. Anybody got a computer on them

  556. tonight? Are you using your phone?

  557. OK, and you're using the computer.

  558. You guys are using your phones and that's great.

  559. But I'm going to give you paper because we're going back to

  560. paper, you understand. All right, OK.

  561. All right, so think about this. It said that, you know, you

  562. furnish an outline agenda, make sure there's enough space, you

  563. know, on that. If you're having a meeting with

  564. somebody, make sure there's enough space they can take

  565. notes, they'll cram everything together.

  566. Just make it big enough that they can jot a note because

  567. there may be same thing. Jot this down.

  568. I say it all the time when I'm teaching.

  569. Jot this down, write this down. All right.

  570. And, and you want to, you know, make sure that they they

  571. understand you are treating this piece of paper like a contract.

  572. There's things I'm going to do and there's things you're going

  573. to do I need from you. All right, Treat it like a

  574. contract. You know, I remember when we

  575. were interesting with the boys and they're getting too big to

  576. spank, OK. And we were trying to figure out

  577. in our own way without having to go to a psychologist and try to

  578. figure out how to discipline these two because they were

  579. always trying to kill each other, but they wouldn't let

  580. nobody else do it, OK? I mean, they cats and dogs all

  581. day. But if one of them got in a

  582. scruffy with somebody, you know, in the youth group or whatever

  583. the case may be, man, it's like, oh, you're going to have to take

  584. us both, you know, and, and just defend each other.

  585. I mean, biting and clawing and whatever.

  586. And so when you, when you take a look at, at, you know, the, the

  587. importance of discipline, you know, when they get to certain

  588. ages, we, we did a contract with them, OK.

  589. And, and in the early years, as they were getting older, we had

  590. a contract that said, talking back to your mother is five

  591. swats, man. So go ahead and give it a shot

  592. and see if it doesn't come to pass.

  593. And we had everything, everything that law they could

  594. break had a penalty, OK. Then they get into their

  595. teenage, we're driving years, right?

  596. What something becomes more important than anything else on

  597. the planet is car keys and cash. OK, So we had another contract,

  598. OK. And the contract was you violate

  599. this, you come in late, you talk back to your Mama.

  600. What, 5 bucks? 10 bucks, whatever.

  601. Now Josh went broke in one fell swoop.

  602. All right? Wait.

  603. Totally broke, no money could do nothing.

  604. I said man, I said I'm just training you for what happens in

  605. the future. I said beside and I ain't even

  606. arrested you. I ain't even locked you up.

  607. But when you go to court, there's only one thing you're

  608. going to be locked up and or pay a fine and if they can get the

  609. money out of you. So just get used to it.

  610. This is how it goes from here on for you.

  611. All right? So, you know, I told him, I

  612. said, listen, you know, I want you to know that to hang on to

  613. the papers, OK? Why?

  614. Because we may have some amendments.

  615. I mean, you know, we don't go into everything.

  616. I know it all. We're going to do it this way.

  617. Nothing else is going to change. That ain't true.

  618. You may have to add you staple something to it, right?

  619. All right. Now, I, I learned this quote.

  620. Listen to this. Write this quote down.

  621. This is going to be good for you.

  622. All right? Pale ink is better than the most

  623. retentive memory. That's why we ought to write

  624. stuff down. Pale ink is better than the most

  625. retentive memory. That was by a literary mentor by

  626. named Harvey McKay, and I learned that from him.

  627. I thought, man, that that's got to be truth.

  628. Even the dull pencil is better than the best memory.

  629. All right, but he said pale ink. All right.

  630. Now here's the second thing that that we can do on this

  631. particular particular consideration, All right.

  632. He says make sure that you have the thought process, you know,

  633. processes out completely before starting to communicate them.

  634. You want to make sure that you've thought it all out from

  635. beginning. Then what could go wrong?

  636. What could happen? What if they do this?

  637. What if they do that? Because you're going to start

  638. communicating how you want to see something done.

  639. Now I think it's interesting because nothing.

  640. And you remember when I said a minute ago in your communication

  641. you need to be. And I and I had that one little

  642. phrase and it was in there not self contradictory.

  643. OK. One thing that is the

  644. demotivator of all mankind is somebody saying this is how

  645. we're going to do it and don't know what they're talking about.

  646. You want to demote, you know, demotivate.

  647. OK, people, go ahead and just cut, throw these plans out off

  648. of your hip and see how well it gets done.

  649. You want to make sure you've got everything thought through.

  650. You don't want to demotivate people.

  651. You want to inspire people to get to the the team goal.

  652. All right, so he said, you know, one of the things I said, if I

  653. hear someone say this and you've heard it all said, we need to

  654. all get on the same page. Yeah, we do.

  655. And the reason that they're saying that is somebody hadn't

  656. explained the page. And so you've let them try to

  657. determine whatever it is on their own.

  658. And you're thinking, no, I just, you know, I don't want to, I

  659. don't want to be able to be somebody that communicates like

  660. that. I want it.

  661. I want it to be that we're all on the same page.

  662. We all have the same page. We don't have cartoons drawn on

  663. the page. All right?

  664. We want to make sure we've got the accurate data that we want

  665. to have. OK, here's the third thing is

  666. understanding this, OK, And, and I learned this and, and one time

  667. completely blew my mind. Flexibility, OK, is a key to the

  668. success of in, in any endeavor. OK, flexibility is the key to

  669. the success of any endeavor. All right, you've got to be

  670. flexible because sometimes things don't work out like

  671. you've exactly planned. All right, throw in a fit, you

  672. know, pulling on stuff on the inside that haven't, having a

  673. custom fit, having whatever should never come out of us as

  674. Kingdom citizens ever, OK? I mean, I had it when I was

  675. early in my screen printing commercial career.

  676. Had a guy that played at the, the station KXOJ everyday KCFO.

  677. These were Christian stations and he played them all the time.

  678. OK. One day, you know, we were, we

  679. were working and he's been witnessing to the boss's son,

  680. you know, trying to tell him, hey, you know, you need to

  681. believe in Jesus. You need to, you know, I said I

  682. agree. I mean, you know, I'm a, I'm a

  683. believer. I'm, I'm going to church and,

  684. and I have my whole life, I've never had a time in my life

  685. where I wasn't going to church. I didn't think it was an option.

  686. I considered it as part of my duty as a Christian to be

  687. involved in a church. And I was.

  688. And so, you know, everybody in the place knew it.

  689. And and then one day this guy that, you know, preached it real

  690. loud and put on a radio real loud, you know, messed up

  691. something and went into a cussing fit.

  692. And I just felt like somebody gave me a black eye, you know,

  693. I'm thinking, oh, great, now this is going to be a hard one

  694. to explain. And sure enough, I had to

  695. explain it because the boss's son says, now look at there,

  696. that's why I don't want to be a Christian man.

  697. He said, you know, he talks about this and all this and he

  698. made his life better and stuff. And he acts like everybody else

  699. when something goes wrong. I said, I'm sorry about that.

  700. I said, because that is not the way that we as Christians are

  701. supposed to respond after we make a mistake or after

  702. something doesn't go the way we plan.

  703. You got to be flexible. I mean, we, we need to be the

  704. most flexible people. And if we're not, guess what

  705. happens? If you get something, you're

  706. trying to flex it, and they don't want to flex, it's going

  707. to snap. That's what he did that day.

  708. He snapped and just spewed all kind of filth all over the

  709. house. And I'm thinking, man, come on,

  710. give me a break. All right?

  711. You know, I said, we got enough problems as it is.

  712. We don't need to be covering for you now, right?

  713. And so, you know, every plan of pursuit that we have, it's not

  714. going to be perfect. You know, most of us, you know,

  715. we have the, we don't have the ability, we don't have the

  716. ability to see into the future of every little thing,

  717. especially when you have people around you that you're trying to

  718. bring in on the same project. Everybody's going to come from a

  719. different background. Everybody may have their own

  720. opinion and you know, different things.

  721. Now, I think it's interesting because, you know, I've had

  722. times where I said listen and, and I've got my my team together

  723. in Oklahoma and I said, this is how we do this.

  724. OK. And I am open to ideas.

  725. If you have a better way to do it that will save us time or

  726. money, come see me immediately. I may give you an opportunity to

  727. give it a shot, but know this, if it doesn't work, we're going

  728. back to the way we've done it. OK, Always be flexible about

  729. that. I remember one time we'd flown

  730. back to Oklahoma and these guys were printing what we call right

  731. of way markers and their pipeline companies that have

  732. warning pipeline and they have a for emergency call number on it

  733. has a logo on it has a do not dig logo.

  734. You know what a do not dig is, you know, has a shovel and all

  735. that 811 and all that stuff. And, and we were printing them

  736. and they were like 3 different colors.

  737. They had the logo of the company, the whole bit.

  738. Well, usually we'd make a screen for each color.

  739. We'd have to line it up, get it all going and I'm back there

  740. and, and I'm watching them print them and I go, wait a second,

  741. where's the other screens? They said, oh, we don't, we, we

  742. don't do three color screens on this one.

  743. We can actually paint out the image that we don't want to

  744. print with this stuff and it dries and it prints.

  745. And then we can take water and wash it all out and we keep the

  746. same screen and we just wash out and we just paint out the other

  747. section. I looked at that dude and I

  748. said, you are a genius. I said, man, I would have never

  749. thought of that in a million years because why?

  750. I was always stuck in the way we always did it and and the way we

  751. always did it always worked. So some people aren't, you know,

  752. wanting to, when they have a, you know, a team they're trying

  753. to create or whatever the case may be, is being flexible enough

  754. to let somebody, you know, come in and, and, and, and suggest

  755. something or try something. Because guess what?

  756. If you come up with the idea, you own it.

  757. So I didn't have to, I didn't have to beg him to do it

  758. anymore. That was his that was his idea

  759. gave them, you know, big, big applause, everybody you know,

  760. and you know going from there. But here's the thing I'm glad of

  761. second Timothy. Jot this one down.

  762. Second Timothy chapter 3 verse 16.

    2 Timothy 3:16

  763. You know the Scripture well, he said all Scripture is given by

  764. inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for

  765. reproof, correction for instruction in righteous living.

  766. Here's the thing about the word Scripture.

  767. It's it. The Greek word is the word

  768. graffe and the definition means document.

  769. It does not have anything deity related to the word.

  770. It is just the simple Greek word for a document.

  771. Now notice this document lets us know what's available in it.

  772. It tells us that we can we can use it and be profitable for

  773. doctrine. We can reprove or we can

  774. correct. But I love it.

  775. Instruction in righteous living is in this document.

  776. If you want everybody on the same page, use that document.

  777. You know what I'm glad about? I'm glad that God didn't think

  778. you know what I'm going to tell him one time and they better get

  779. it. No, He moved on men, to record

  780. it for us for thousands of years so there'd be no variation or

  781. deviation from the original plan.

  782. He let us know how everything went down in the garden.

  783. He let us know how he got everything headed back the right

  784. direction. Let us know about all of our

  785. patriarchs and matriarchs and, and how you know they were all

  786. precursors and getting ready for the king to come back to buy it

  787. all back for us and buy us back. I'm glad that he had it, the

  788. plan and the outcome written down.

  789. Amen. All right, consideration #3 all

  790. right, jot this down. There is not one of us that is

  791. as good as all of us, all right, When we're trying to communicate

  792. our team, we need to realize this.

  793. We have two ears and one mouth and that we need to be

  794. listening, OK. I, I think that listening to

  795. others is a key of achieving, achieving any desired goal.

  796. We have just listening to others, you know, and making

  797. sure that, that we give the people the chance and, and, and,

  798. and and and making sure that they understand.

  799. We, we heard what they said. Some people are just want an

  800. opportunity to be heard, OK? They want somebody that cares

  801. enough to sit down and listen. You know, I've jokingly told

  802. people before, you know, I said be careful when you come up to

  803. somebody at church and say how you doing unless you got time to

  804. really hear it, OK, You know, because you know, they they can

  805. lay it all on you. And I've had it, I've done it.

  806. I would not follow my own advice.

  807. How you doing? Oh man, and go on.

  808. Here we go. And I'm not leaving them until

  809. they're done. I mean, you know, and if I need

  810. to get with them, I say, you know what you need to go see or

  811. we need to get together and we can, we can work this out and

  812. see if we have any challenges that we could work out, you

  813. know, in there. And the, and The thing is, is

  814. using everybody in the body of Christ.

  815. What am I looking for? I'm looking for somebody in my

  816. mind that has gone through what they're going through that I can

  817. get them with. Now, if you failed in what you

  818. were going through, I'm not going to put them with you, OK,

  819. I'm going to put them with somebody that been there and did

  820. it and made it and it was good. All right, That's what you want.

  821. That's like going to, you know, a a divorce counselor that's

  822. been divorced full time. Well, you know, I'm sure that

  823. you might have some advice on maybe not what to do or what not

  824. to do, all right, But I don't know that I would put my entire

  825. life into their hands. OK, so it's, it's the same thing

  826. as that. We've got to we've got to depend

  827. on each other. Another scripture, Proverbs

  828. 11/14, you know, and throughout Scripture it it it bears out

  829. 1114 says where no counsel is the people fall, they fail.

  830. OK, he said. But at a multitude of

  831. counselors, there's safety. You know, the importance of each

  832. other. You know, also comes first

    1 Corinthians 12 chapter mention

  833. Corinthians chapter 12. Write it down.

  834. First Corinthians chapter 12. All right.

    1 Corinthians 12 chapter mention

  835. And in verse 20, he said, but now there are many members.

  836. You can say team members, but only one body or one team, you

  837. said. And whether they're one team

  838. member suffer, all team members suffer with it.

  839. If one member be honored, then all team members rejoice with

  840. it. Now you are the body of Christ

  841. and a team member in particular. I added the team.

  842. OK, All right. He lets us know how important we

  843. are to each other, that not one of us as good as all of us, all

  844. right, because of experience and opportunity and the things that

  845. we want to accomplish. You know, we just got to find

  846. those people that have that same desire, the drive.

  847. They don't want to just sit around and watch the world go

  848. by. They want to be part of making

  849. the world OK. And so when we we talk about

  850. that, I love that whole passage because it even talks about

  851. weaker members, that there's some weak members that come in

  852. and they looking around and they see all these people that

  853. supposedly look like they have it all together.

  854. And they say we won't make it. And we grab hold of them and we

  855. make them part of our team. We make them part of what's

  856. going on and we help them grow to their level instead of, you

  857. know, saying, aye, no, you know, too bad, you know, And they look

  858. at it. They look at people.

  859. And he said, no. He said Jesus took those people

  860. in and welded them to us, is what the Bible says.

  861. They're welded to us just like your little toe.

  862. You don't want to function without your little toe.

  863. In fact, you don't want to injure your little toe, which

  864. I've done many times, always at the foot of the bed.

  865. You know, I mean, I don't know what the deal is.

  866. You don't want to mess up with your foot.

  867. You don't want to, you know, accidentally step on a bunch of

  868. Legos in the middle of the night.

  869. He'll wake everybody up, you know, serious.

  870. I mean, you know, Yeah, little, I don't know if you remember,

  871. the ones that got me the most, the embedded in my foot were

  872. called micro machines, OK. I mean, you can run one of them

  873. up Plumb to your neck, stepping on it.

  874. It just like leaving them around, you know?

  875. And I'm thinking, no, your body knows.

  876. And and when it said when one member suffer, we all suffer.

  877. It's just like a team. I mean, you know, Kansas City

  878. lost the Super Bowl, right? Everybody was sad on that team.

  879. They I mean, think about it. We all suffered all together,

  880. every one of us, you know, and that's the thing he said, have

  881. the same care one for another, you know, don't be so concerned.

  882. Paul talks about it all the time.

  883. Don't be so concerned about what you got going on, you know,

  884. because we're going to talk about that in the future is and,

  885. and, and we're going over some lessons on your why.

  886. Why are you in business? You know, the why shouldn't be

  887. for you. The why is for the same reason

  888. God's in business people. I mean, if money was such a big

  889. deal, we'd get to take it with us.

  890. But guess what? We don't.

  891. There's only one thing we can take with us.

  892. It's each other and how many others God wants in the Kingdom

  893. that we've got to be ready for. OK, let me give you

  894. consideration #4 we'll wrap it up tonight, all right?

  895. Poor communication usually will result in misalignment of team

  896. goals. Poor communication will usually

  897. result in a misalignment of team goals.

  898. You'll have things shooting off over here and over here and over

  899. here, you know, says. And, and here's the thing that's

  900. very important, all right? Is everybody on your team,

  901. everybody you're dealing with OK?

  902. They need to. If you're the head, if you're

  903. the leader, they need to be speaking like you speak.

  904. We don't have no rogue speakers. You need to through these

  905. meetings and I'm talking about giving them papers and you're

  906. going to have to, you know, say, listen, you're communicating.

  907. And this is what we want communicated to vendors, to

  908. whoever it is we're talking to. We want you to communicate like

  909. this and make it very clear right now.

  910. I think it's interesting because I had an example on this one.

  911. Somebody very close to us was in line getting something to eat.

  912. And I guess it was the woman in front of her.

  913. She said, got up to the counter and said, yeah, I'd like to

  914. order this, this and this. And the lady just kind of

  915. snapped at her youngster, snapped at her and says it is

  916. not, it is breakfast time now. It is not lunch time.

  917. And the woman said, well, I come in here every day at this time

  918. and it's never been a problem to make.

  919. And it was salad or something. And then she goes, I'm sorry,

  920. you're just going to have to come back.

  921. A woman left. I wonder if she's going to come

  922. back or not. I wonder if that was the last

  923. straw on the camel's back. Now, if I'd have been in line, I

  924. would have called the owner because I know him personally.

  925. And I'll just ask him the question.

  926. I said, hey, I saw this at your store and I just wondered, is

  927. this the way you want your people to talk to your

  928. customers, OK. Because apparently somebody went

  929. rogue and decided that they were going to tell them whatever it

  930. is that they needed to. But I don't think that being as

  931. I know him that he would want that, you know what I'm saying?

  932. So you have to be real careful. And I am going to do a lesson

  933. eventually on talking about, you know, handling problem people.

  934. OK, people that, you know, customers.

  935. I got 1 illustration left for that for tonight and I'll give

  936. it to you. But you know, The thing is that,

  937. you know, we have if AI get a photo, if I get a, a note or I

  938. get a phone call, even living down here and somebody says

  939. we're, we've got a situation we think you need to handle.

  940. All right, I immediately know they have done everything they

  941. know that I would have done and I had this one customer and they

  942. were reaming my help up and down over a little order, a little

  943. order. We met, we were, we manufactured

  944. decals for American Airlines, OK.

  945. They made air, air travel cases, real high dollar vacuum formed

  946. and everything and they had to have this sticker on it.

  947. This company sold about 100 of those a year is all all right

  948. and we've provided the sticker. Well, we printed the wrong

  949. sticker, 100 a year. It was just 100 stickers fit in

  950. a glad snack bag in your hand. And they they said you might

  951. need to call her. She is irate.

  952. We've never dealt with anybody. I said over that little sticker.

  953. Did you tell her that you'd do them again?

  954. And she said, yeah, we tried to and and she just, I don't

  955. understand how you can let something like this happen.

  956. I don't even believe. What are you guys doing down

  957. there? I said, OK, I'm coming back to

  958. the office. I need you to print 200 of them

  959. stickers, get them ready for me because it wouldn't take a

  960. second. They printed them, gave me the

  961. bag. I went over to the place.

  962. I walked in the front door and she started in on me and I just

  963. let her go. Just come on, let me have it.

  964. Every bit of it. You hate my guts.

  965. I know. Let's go.

  966. Finally wore out. Standing there, like what are

  967. you going to say? Like I'm going to get in a fist

  968. fight with you, lady. I'm not going to get in a fist

  969. fight. I said, I can't ask you enough

  970. to forgive us for this mistake. I have in my hand the correct

  971. stickers, not just 100, but I have 200 of them.

  972. And I said, and I wish you'd do me a favor.

  973. And she said, what is that? I said well the next time that

  974. you all have an HR meeting to hire people and you find

  975. somebody that on their application you write the word

  976. perfect and you can't hire them, send them to me because I tell

  977. you what, I don't have one perfect person in my company.

  978. But boy, they sure try. She couldn't say nothing.

  979. She said as a matter of fact, I'll never forget what she said.

  980. As a matter of fact, we don't have any perfect people.

  981. Here I go, OK, so will you accept our apology?

  982. Yes, I'll accept it. Gave her the stickers.

  983. Now there was a plan in 200 stickers instead of 100 that I

  984. wouldn't have to come and see your face for another year.

  985. There's always a plan, all right.

  986. But you know, the Bible's true. It said a soft answer turns

  987. away, right. So I could have got up in her

  988. face. And, you know, I, I could have,

  989. I I could have said, well, you know, I've never seen nobody an

  990. adult body whine and carry on like you're, you know, I could

  991. have gone on, man. I could have just let her have

  992. it all. But that's not what I wanted to

  993. do. I wanted to make.

  994. We made the mistake. I went up to it.

  995. It's OK. I'm here.

  996. I've got more than what you. I want you to be glad we made it

  997. because now you don't have to pay for 100 of them for a whole

  998. year. It's good, right?

  999. You know, but The thing is, it's in communication.

1000. It's how we carry ourselves. What's on the inside?

1001. You nasty? You mean you want to be mean,

1002. like Pastor, you want a piece of me?

  1003. No, I mean, I don't personally. OK.

1004. All right. So, you know, when you talk

1005. about you, you, you discuss those things.

1006. I just, I want to remind you as we close that, you know,

1007. comprehension. Comprehension is what we're

1008. looking for. You know, we get our kids to

1009. read and they can pronounce the words and they're going, but we

  1010. don't know if they're comprehending what they're

1011. reading. Like the story, what we want to

1012. do is we want to be able to communicate in a way that they

1013. comprehend what we're saying. And then when we all get down to

1014. the end of the conveyor belt, we see exactly what we want to see.

1015. So let me give you the last phrase.

1016. Pictures in our communication assist with a comprehension of

1017. words. If you want them to comprehend

1018. what you said, paint them a picture.

1019. Hopefully I tried a little of that tonight.

1020. All right, everybody good. All right, we got 2 minutes.

1021. I'm going to pray and then you got anything.

1022. OK, we're good. All right, Father, we thank you

1023. and praise you for the opportunity to just communicate

  1024. tonight. Hallelujah.

1025. And that we just take note of those things on how we're doing

1026. in the world because we're probably going to be in these

1027. last days ready to communicate like we never have been before.

1028. So we want to be able to to bring up those testimonies and

1029. bring up those things that you have done for us so that we can

1030. let people know that we do are witnesses of yours because of

1031. what you've done for us. So Father, let us be good, good

1032. communicators. Let us paint pictures.

1033. Let us be sensitive to your spirit to paint the picture that

1034. you need painted to to make it convincing in the lives of those

1035. around us. And Father, we want to give you

1036. praise because you are the great communicator and we're thankful

1037. that you did and that we understood what you were talking

1038. about and accepted your call, Father, that we'd be able to

1039. make Jesus Lord. And we thank you for it in Jesus

  1040. name, Amen.
