  1. Turn over to Psalms chapter 27, verse one.

    Psalms 27 chapter mention

  2. Psalms chapter 27, verse one. Hey man, we're going to talk a

    Psalms 27 chapter mention

  3. little bit about Kingdom evangelism a couple of Sundays

  4. ago. You know, we took some time to

  5. talk about the issues that are going on in the world.

  6. And if we don't watch out, you know, we will have walked in the

  7. Kingdom of God so much that we are forgetting that there's, you

  8. know, quite a few people that are not going to be with the

  9. Lord forever. And we made the mention that

  10. right now, I think it was a little over 8 billion people are

  11. on the planet, of which they only associate 2 billion with

  12. Christianity. And based upon what I'm telling

  13. you right now, those who believe that statement aren't even

  14. Christians. Are you hearing me?

  15. So I can't tell you that of the 2 billion, they're actually born

  16. again and have the Holy Ghost inside them bearing witness with

  17. their spirit, their child of God, which means they're right.

  18. Now, even if we did take all two, we still have more 75% that

  19. aren't even going to make it. Now, that is the parable of the

  20. sower, just to let you know, Parable of the sower, of the

  21. seeds sown on the four different grounds, only 75% produce.

  22. Only 25% produce fruit, period. But it still doesn't mean we

  23. shouldn't have a heart to want to make sure that we are doing

  24. what we need to do with God's Kingdom so that people could

  25. have an opportunity to come into the Kingdom of God.

  26. And, you know, so there's some things about, you know, winning

  27. the loss that we need to explore from the Scripture.

  28. Because if we don't watch out, I think we can get some thoughts

  29. in our heads through certain revivals and different things

  30. that we get an expectation of what we think the harvest looks

  31. like or how to go about it when we really need to stay with the

  32. Word of God. Are you hearing me?

  33. Because I would not want to miss a harvest because I'm looking

  34. for something spectacular. All right, Psalms 27, one says

  35. this. It says the Lord is, is my light

  36. and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?

  37. The Lord is the defense of my life.

  38. Whom shall I dread? What a powerful statement,

  39. right? The Lord is my what light.

  40. Light is what opens up salvation.

  41. Because we were all in darkness. I said we were all in darkness,

  42. and we're going to talk a little bit about that.

  43. So it's the light because the Lord is my light or he is light.

  44. God is light, all right? Meaning he's obviously light,

  45. but also he is the one who brings revelation, darkness and

  46. light. In Scripture, it can be a type

  47. and shadow of ignorance and knowledge.

  48. So when you're ignorant, you're in the dark.

  49. We say that all they're in the dark, but when you know

  50. something, then you're in the light, OK.

  51. And God knows everything. He's all knowledge, right?

  52. And so God brings everything to light, and light always

  53. overtakes darkness. All right, I got talking to some

  54. people today and I was going to have them kill all the lights,

  55. even the screens, but we didn't do that.

  56. But with the turn the lights off anyway, just for fun.

  57. All the way off. Yeah, even these now, obviously

  58. we still have some light here, but I mean, how would you feel

  59. if we went pitch black and then I just started preaching?

  60. They're like, OK, what's going on?

  61. Right? I mean, you hear my voice, but

  62. you don't see me. You can't even see in front of

  63. your head. You know, your hands in front of

  64. your head. Now I know all you got your

  65. phone, so we can never get it dark here.

  66. But the point is, is that who wants to go through life in

  67. darkness? Go ahead and close your eyes

  68. just for a moment. All right?

  69. Everybody close your eyes because it's what it means to be

  70. in darkness. Now, you can hear me, but you

  71. can't see me. You're not, you know, you don't

  72. know exactly where I'm at unless I'm getting close to you.

  73. And you're assuming that's the case, OK.

  74. And so, you know, we used to be people of darkness.

  75. All right, open your eyes. OK.

  76. So the reality is, is, do we want to live this way?

  77. I mean, life's a pretty amazing thing.

  78. Who wants to go through life like this?

  79. Because again, if it went pitch black, what are we doing now?

  80. We're what we call groping. You're starting to, you know,

  81. reach out and you're looking because you don't know where

  82. nothing's at. You're more susceptible to hurt

  83. and pain, running into things, hurting yourself.

  84. I mean, again, you could walk slap off a Cliff and wouldn't

  85. even know it. I mean, you could die easier in

  86. darkness because you cannot see at all.

  87. Who would ever really want to live this existence?

  88. All right, put the lights back up.

  89. Jesus is the lie. Well, Christopher, you might

  90. fall asleep if I leave them off. Jesus is the light.

  91. Amen. Look what it says here in first

  92. Peter two, First Peter 2 and 9 it says, But you are a chosen

  93. race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation of people for God's own

  94. possession, so that you might proclaim the excellencies of him

  95. who has called you. What out of into what kind of

  96. light is it? It's marvelous.

  97. Say it's marvelous. I mean, it's marvelous to be in

  98. the light. Hallelujah.

  99. Now I'm going to read this out of Passion translation because I

  100. like it. It says this, but you are God's

  101. chosen treasure priest. Who are kings?

  102. Are you kings? He's the king of kings.

  103. Who are those kings? And when are we those kings?

  104. Right now, OK, we're children of God and our Father in heaven and

  105. Jesus Christ his Son are kings, all right, They rule and reign.

  106. Thrones are in kingdoms, not in religions.

  107. So we are pretty sure kings, a spiritual nation set apart as

  108. God's devoted. 1 He called, He called you out of darkness into

  109. to experience his what marvelous light, right?

  110. But it goes on and says, and now he claims you as his very own.

  111. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders

  112. throughout the world. You are supposed to broadcast

  113. before you could do. When we were all in darkness,

  114. nobody sees anything but the minute you turn it, you know as

  115. well as I do you can be a complete darkness, but you get

  116. one light. Everybody all of a sudden will

  117. see that light, and the one who's illuminated you can rally

  118. around, but the one who's not, so you understand.

  119. He called us out of this life that nobody sees.

  120. Let me just say it that way. Nobody sees people who are in

  121. darkness and the way they broadcast this as if it's like

  122. the best thing. Nobody sees this on the grand

  123. scheme of the Kingdom. God doesn't even see it because

  124. it's in darkness. Now, I'm not saying he doesn't

  125. see their sin and he's not going to hold them accountable.

  126. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying their deeds are

  127. done in darkness. And you know what?

  128. When you're in darkness, nobody sees.

  129. In one sense, there's no it says if no one, you're not

  130. significant. Yet the enemy in his domain of

  131. darkness wants to think, wants you to think that you are the

  132. most significant when you're actually the least.

  133. How least? Well, if you do not change,

  134. you'll be cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death,

  135. and no one will remember you ever.

  136. There'll be no memory of you. So you need to be born again.

  137. What's it say in Matthew chapter 5 verse 13?

    Matthew 5:13

  138. Because if we are going to change our community, then we

  139. need to know that we've come out of something.

  140. We are to come out, not to stay with, but to come out.

  141. Why is this? Look what it says here in

  142. Matthew chapter 5 verses 13 through 16.

    Matthew 5:13–16

  143. It says you are the salt of the earth.

  144. But if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made

  145. salty again? This is a problem.

  146. It is no longer good for what anything is said to be thrown

  147. out and trampled under the foot of men.

  148. I'm not going to technically deal with the salt today, but

  149. you understand you need to stay salty.

  150. All right? Have the salt.

  151. Life 14. You are the light of the world.

  152. You're the light of what? You're the light of the world.

  153. That is not earth, that is sectors of society.

  154. You are the light. God entrusted you to be the

  155. light. You are the light of the world.

  156. OK, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor does anyone light

  157. a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and

  158. it gives light to all who are in the house.

  159. Let your light what? Let your light what?

  160. Where? In church?

  161. In church, no before men so that in such a way how's your life

  162. supposed to shine in such a way that they may what?

  163. See your that's why I said this earlier.

  164. See your good works and glorify your Father who was in heaven.

  165. Your work, independent of the voice of God, is not a good

  166. work. It's still bad, but when God's

  167. asked you to do something and you're doing it in Christ, then

  168. it is a good work because it's by faith, because your faith has

  169. a work and it shines because God is the light.

  170. His Word is light. So when you obey His Word, then

  171. you are the light. We are to walk in the light.

  172. We're going to see this. So again, we are to let our

  173. light shine before men, not just in church, not just around other

  174. Christians or believers, but where to let it shine, period.

  175. Now, this one particular scholar said this, and I like this.

  176. He said the Christian. And again, you know, that's a

  177. term that was given in the New Testaments only a few times it's

  178. actually mentioned. It's not an emphasis.

  179. We've emphasized it. The world has emphasized it.

  180. Jesus emphasized the disciple, we emphasize Christian.

  181. There's nothing wrong with being a Christian if you are what

  182. Christian means, which is Christ like.

  183. If you're not Christ like, then you're just a label.

  184. You're labeling it yourself, something that you're not.

  185. Jesus actually said, go into all the world and make what not

  186. Christians. Now you'll be Christ like if

  187. you're a disciple. But we need to get disciples.

  188. Like when I go into other countries, specifically in

  189. Spanish speaking countries, senor is the word for Lord.

  190. Well, senor is also the word for Mr. Well, it's not Mr. Jesus.

  191. So I use other terms like dueno, which is owner, or maestro which

  192. is master. You know, you're putting another

  193. spin on because you need to know he is your owner, He's your

  194. Lord, He's supreme in authority. He's the one you're yielding and

  195. submitted to. He's the one that you're you're

  196. following all the days of your life.

  197. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And so if we don't watch out,

  198. we'll say Christian, but still are walking in darkness.

  199. Yet nowhere Scripture does a Christian walk in darkness.

  200. They've come out, say, come out, they've come out.

  201. And again, the life I'm living in the light.

  202. I'm not living it on my own power, but I'm living it through

  203. the grace of God and the power of His Word.

  204. Working in my life. Because by faith I believe I can

  205. have what He says, I can do what He says, I can respond like He

  206. says, even when I don't feel like it in my flesh wants to do

  207. something else. But that's darkness.

  208. I don't live in the darkness anymore.

  209. I live in the light, so we are not to cover our light yet.

  210. When, when is it that all of a sudden Christianity decided to

  211. cover up? When did we go in the closet?

  212. Now, how do you know you're in a closet?

  213. Because you go into the world and you're doing the same thing

  214. the world's doing, but saying we have.

  215. And I asked Jesus into my heart to save me.

  216. How can you live in darkness and call yourself light?

  217. I mean, we in our, you know, nation has really are making a

  218. lot of excuses to cover up our light.

  219. I mean, we, and I think it first started with, you know, well, we

  220. don't want to look different than them.

  221. You are different. I mean, you came out of that

  222. whole thing. I mean, why do you want anything

  223. to be relatable in that context? You want a shot when I want to

  224. make them feel bad. Well, this particular scholar

  225. said it this way. The Christian often pains men to

  226. heal them. Now I like that.

  227. Now he was coming from the perspective of salt in a wound

  228. that you put salt in the wound and it hurts, but it's bringing

  229. healing. We understand if you've been in

  230. darkness and a light flashes, it'll hurt your eyes.

  231. Have you ever been in somewhere dark and you come out, woah,

  232. golly, right out here. My wife's like give me the

  233. sunglasses. I can't handle it.

  234. My wife doesn't go outside hardly without her sunglasses.

  235. She's like, man, this hurts my eyes.

  236. This hurts because she's not acclimated to the light.

  237. So you understand your existence should create pain to those

  238. around you in your world. Oh, well, I just don't want

  239. anybody hurt. Are you light?

  240. They're going to hurt because the fair and darkness you, the

  241. bright thing that walked in that morning, you just reminded them

  242. of what they shouldn't have been doing that weekend because you

  243. didn't do it. They know you didn't do it.

  244. And when they try to talk about what they did, they know it

  245. doesn't go anywhere with you and they feel convicted because of

  246. what the light does. And you can't.

  247. You, you, you can't. You can't.

  248. The only way that you're going to is if you cover up.

  249. Well, I don't want. I'm just being me.

  250. I am of the light. That's what I am now.

  251. And guess what? You can be of the light too.

  252. Say come out so you got to let your light shine before men in

  253. such a way that they may see your good works.

  254. I mean when they see your. Here's the thing the world best

  255. especially those that do grapple wanting to know is there a God

  256. know that there's a hole in their life and that they need

  257. something different. But yeah, they've heard this

  258. term Christian for so long and seen so many go to the club with

  259. them on Saturday night. But then go, right, you know,

  260. have sexual relationships outside of wedlock.

  261. I mean, speak the same language backed by gossip.

  262. I mean, it's just like a habit. No problem.

  263. You can jump into the conversation with the best of

  264. them. I mean, there's no different.

  265. You've been around. Have you ever been around when

  266. you're like, you would start to share Jesus And they're like,

  267. oh, I'm saved. And you're like, bro, never.

  268. Jeez. Nah, no, never went in on that.

  269. You'd be like, you need to, you need to pull the basket off your

  270. light then, because we have a problem.

  271. This is it. This is not how God expected

  272. you. We are not undercover.

  273. Believers are not undercover. They shine, Say I shine now

  274. again, shiny. You're not bringing attention to

  275. yourself. The light brings attention to

  276. him. Hallelujah.

  277. And I know I have plenty of testimonies of people that have

  278. been in situations where you know, you've let your light

  279. shine and people like, how come you're not concerned?

  280. Aren't you concerned they're laying people off?

  281. How come you're not worried about this?

  282. How come you seem to never get sick and if you do, it never

  283. stays around? Guess what?

  284. Your light is shining. How come I never hear you cuss

  285. ever? There's a particular comedian

  286. that is, you know, in the Christian circle, and he got

  287. around some secular comedians because he's become that

  288. popular. And they were like, they want

  289. him to cuss, and they're just trying to egg him on to cuss.

  290. And he's like, yeah, I'm not going to do it right.

  291. Why? Because darkness wants to try to

  292. overtake, but darkness can never know that it can never overtake

  293. the light. Darkness can never overtake the

  294. light, even in an eclipse. When it goes black here, it's

  295. not because the light left, it's because something got in front

  296. of it. The only reason that would keep

  297. your life from shine is if you're letting stuff get in

  298. front of it. If you're letting issues, if

  299. you're letting you know the things that are of the flesh

  300. getting in between you and what God wants to do through you, you

  301. got to keep that stuff off because this is how God will

  302. draw people because people really want you to be

  303. successful. But you know what?

  304. They want to know that what you're doing is real.

  305. They'll consider you a fad. They consider you like everybody

  306. else, dime a dozen that have went to church and now don't go

  307. to church at all. I mean, we know them ourselves.

  308. We know them ourselves that have backslidden, gone in and you

  309. know what? Those things are hindrances to

  310. harvest. Again, there are very few plants

  311. that grow in only in darkness. The majority need the light and

  312. any of Jesus's examples were just that.

  313. Are you hearing me now? I will tell you this, sin can

  314. grow in darkness, but in the end it's worthless for nothing and

  315. it's thrown into the lake of fire.

  316. So in order for you to have the seed of God's word to be able to

  317. start manifesting in a person's life, you have to be the light

  318. to the seed that you've sown in their hearts.

  319. Because again, a seed does not bear fruit overnight.

  320. And you understand, for us, the majority of our evangelism is

  321. going to be day-to-day showing up with the light.

  322. That's how it's going to work and you're going to be with a Co

  323. worker and the next thing you know, they're going to find out

  324. you believe in Jesus and you say it not like I'm trying to do

  325. good things to get to heaven. You're not going to say that.

  326. You're going to say Jesus Christ is the only way I made him Lord

  327. of my life. I follow him by faith.

  328. Oh, OK. I see how that is.

  329. And the next thing you know, you just are.

  330. They never hear you, you know, say anything right.

  331. And if you do something wrong, you're like, you know what?

  332. That's not how I'm supposed to be.

  333. Please forgive me. Now they're blown away by that

  334. stuff because we're not perfect people, but we can be mature

  335. people and we should mature. If you didn't hear that message,

  336. you need to go and listen to it. The point is, is that our light

  337. needs to shine because most people that are in darkness,

  338. they're too prideful to admit they're wrong.

  339. But a believer will say, you know what?

  340. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't acted that way.

  341. I should not have raised my voice.

  342. Please forgive me. You understand that light

  343. actually gets brighter even though you've done something

  344. wrong, because now they're blown away at your ability to yield

  345. submit, your ability to acknowledge you were wrong with

  346. no selfish motive. And what it does is all of a

  347. sudden that seed of the word now is taking root in their heart.

  348. And then they get an issue and then they come to you, right,

  349. Eric? And they're like, hey, would you

  350. pray for me? Why?

  351. Because they don't know how to pray.

  352. They're not even born again. They don't even know what.

  353. And you're like, you know, I pray I'll talk to the King for

  354. you. And then the king could do

  355. awesome things for them just to show them that he's kind because

  356. it's the kindness of God that leads people to repentance and

  357. God's very kind. But again, what do you do?

  358. You're you're, you're causing that plant to grow because you

  359. bring the light all the time. This is why you cannot have down

  360. days. You just need to get that 4th

  361. Frank's on. I'm going to have a good day,

  362. right? I'm about to have a good day

  363. because you get coffee in your cup like black.

  364. You going to have a good day, people going to have a really

  365. good day. All right, so anyway, we need to

  366. shine. This is our first.

  367. This is our first phase of, of evangelism.

  368. Because again, how are you going to have someone come to the

  369. church if you yourself aren't living it?

  370. Now again, a lot of times people can invite people and say, Hey,

  371. we do this too, but we go to church and you're like, oh, I

  372. can still sin and still go to church.

  373. This is super cool. You know what?

  374. That's not in the Bible and that's misleading, and that's

  375. really gross neglect. It's what I call spiritual

  376. malpractice. It's called spiritual

  377. malpractice. No, we are, to be honest, again,

  378. I can be kind to a lost person. I'm going to be kind to a lost

  379. person and I'm going to be patient.

  380. Like, wow, you have been so patient with me.

  381. Yep, I'm patient because you're in darkness.

  382. I mean, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't even know where to

  383. go. You understand?

  384. When you're carrying the flashlight, you are the one

  385. that's helping lead them. In essence, God is allowing you

  386. to be the light to Him. You're illuminating the pathway.

  387. So This is why you can't turn your light off.

  388. It's got to be on all the time. And this light has got better

  389. batteries in the Energizer Bunny people.

  390. It's got us the Holy Ghost. All right, Proverbs chapter 4,

    Proverbs 4:18–19

  391. verse 18 to 19 says this. But the path of the righteous is

  392. like the light of dawn. My gosh, you got to understand

  393. you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

  394. You must visually see this when you go anywhere.

  395. You are lit, fully illuminated, you are spotlight.

  396. I mean, when you are really serious about your walk with

  397. God, it cannot go unnoticed. The path of the righteous is

  398. like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter

  399. until the full day. You just keep showing up and it

  400. gets brighter and brighter, clearer and clearer how this

  401. thing works, that we live for God, how it is Christ in me, the

  402. hope of glory. I mean, we have to be serious

  403. about our walk with God. He is Lord of our lives.

  404. We've laid down our life because He laid down His.

  405. It's not how I want to do it. I'm not negotiating with God and

  406. say now listen, I want to keep these things of darkness in my

  407. life. You good with that?

  408. I mean, it's like people like, well, I just want to be AI just

  409. want to be a match, man. I just want to be a match.

  410. I mean, again, a match in complete darkness will draw, but

  411. you understand as you grow, there's no way you just a match.

  412. It's just not going to happen. You are a pathway.

  413. But what's the next verse? Say the way of the wicked is

  414. like darkness. They do not know over what they

  415. stumble. I mean, how many times you've

  416. been around, you know, back in the day now or you went to work

  417. and someone's like, man, this weekend, I don't even know what

  418. happened. You're like, bro, you don't even

  419. know what happened, man. I went to a party and I just

  420. who, what, who wants to live like that?

  421. And they act like that's the whole deal.

  422. And you're like, thank God I have been delivered.

  423. I have been, I have been transferred out of that domain

  424. into the marvelous life. And I'm not waking up going,

  425. who, who are you? Oh my gosh, you look way better

  426. last night. And what's happened now?

  427. Why are my loins on fire? I'm telling you, right?

  428. I mean, who wants to be at 3:00 in the morning willfully

  429. throwing up? Oh man, we had such a great

  430. time. You don't even remember.

  431. You have puke all over. I mean, think about this.

  432. But as believers, we have to shine bright.

  433. Are you hearing me? Ephesians chapter 5, verses 8

    Ephesians 5:8–14

  434. through 14. The remedy translation says it

  435. this way in the past. Come on, help me out with this

  436. word you promulgated the dark lies and methods of Satan, but

  437. now you are conduits of the light of truth and the life

  438. giving methods of the Lord. Live as children of this light

  439. now. Paul's being real clear to the

  440. church. Church, we are of the light now.

  441. I mean, Paul was very clear to the churches he planted the

  442. church at Corinth was sucked, came out of such horrible

  443. heathen worship, Pagan worship. I mean, it was bad sexual

  444. immorality, like horrible. And he's like you used to now

  445. you don't you formally. Now here's where you are.

  446. Because light does not do what darkness does.

  447. And light doesn't say it's OK to be dark every once in a while

  448. because God is light and there's no darkness in him.

  449. He doesn't say that's OK. Well, you know what?

  450. I'm, I'm forgive. You know what?

  451. And we use this term a lot even in, you know, I, I hear people

  452. say, you know, it's better to ask for forgiveness than

  453. permission. So you want to rebel.

  454. I mean, how many times does the believer, they don't watch out?

  455. I'm telling you, these are these are slippery slopes to want to

  456. trample on the blood of Jesus. You know what, I'm going to do

  457. it anyway, and I'll just ask God to forgive me.

  458. What? That's not why the blood's

  459. there. So that you can keep in darkness

  460. and keep splashing the blood. No, He's changed you.

  461. You're a whole new species of being.

  462. You're a new creature in Christ. You're not the same.

  463. You've got you have to renew your mind, you have to let go of

  464. deeds of darkness, but you have the power by the Holy Ghost in

  465. you to do something different. Amen.

  466. So it goes on to say for those who live by the light, practice

  467. the principles of goodness, doing right in all situations

  468. and how many situations in all situations, and understand God

  469. and His purposes and what He is pleased with, right?

  470. Without faith it's impossible to what so they're saying here,

  471. they find out what God wants to do in any situation.

  472. They hear the word of the King, and then they stand and believe

  473. on that word is going to come to pass.

  474. That's what we do, OK, because we're in the light now.

  475. We're not stuck in darkness. Verse 11 don't have anything to

  476. do with the destructive practices of those whose minds

  477. are darkened, but rather present light of truth, which exposes

  478. them. Now really another translation

  479. says it says in this way, in essence, the things that they

  480. are ignorant of because you're around, you can bring exposure

  481. to what will set them free. This is not like, oh, I'm

  482. telling everybody about you, I'm exposing you.

  483. Oh rain, I'm exposing. That's not the what he's saying

  484. here. What he's saying here is that

  485. you get around someone that's in darkness and they don't know how

  486. to act different because sin or sin, they're professionals.

  487. We were professionals at one time.

  488. We were really good at this and some of y'all even better than I

  489. was. Meaning you just have a longer

  490. rap sheet. The point is though, we all have

  491. participated in darkness, but you get around someone to light,

  492. all of a sudden they give you options.

  493. They begin to say, you know, you don't have to what you don't

  494. have to. They've never seen that because

  495. you just turn the light on. Now you said, well, you could.

  496. You know what, let's do this instead.

  497. I never thought, come on, let's let's.

  498. And next thing you know, you're giving them revelation of

  499. another way to live, that all of a sudden they're like, man, I

  500. want to come over to where you're at.

  501. So that's what this means here. For it is damaging and degrading

  502. to dwell upon what the disobedient do in secret.

  503. Yeah, You know what, believers, It seems as if they're like,

  504. what can I get away with? They did that.

  505. Seem like they're having so much fun.

  506. Seem like they're having so much fun.

  507. You're dwelling on darkness that you were redeemed from, that you

  508. have been pulled out of glory to God.

  509. You actually are the one who can see.

  510. You're no longer blonde. This is amazing, OK?

  511. For everything exposed by the light of truth becomes

  512. understandable, you know? And that's what we're here to

  513. do. We're here to help people

  514. understand that Jesus Christ is King and the life we live now,

  515. we live in him. And he opens up things so that

  516. we can navigate in a world that's dark and crooked.

  517. He makes the crooked places straight, says for it is the

  518. truth that reveals all things. This is why it is said, wake up

  519. your brain and start thinking. Stop zoning out like you're

  520. dead. And Christ will shine the light

  521. of truth into your mind. Man, aren't you glad when God

  522. opens up your mind with truth? You're like, wow, there it is.

  523. That's what I need to do, Thank you Lord.

  524. And then you stand on that. Then it comes out like he, just

  525. like he says it. And you're like, glory to God,

  526. He's amazing, right? He does this in trials and

  527. tribulations with us and we get to be again, I'm not telling you

  528. to go bare your soul to people. Please don't do.

  529. But again, if someone like what's going on, well, I have

  530. this situation, but I'm trusting God now at that point, like, OK,

  531. well, you just trust 'cause then when it happens that way,

  532. they're like, I remember one time family member had this

  533. issue going down and, and so I showed up at the hospital and

  534. it's life and death stuff. And so I came in and I knew that

  535. the, the, the extended family did not function in this type of

  536. belief system. Kind of a little more hope God

  537. will do something and hope is not faith.

  538. So but by unction of the spirit, I came in, grabbed their hands

  539. and I said, let's pray and I began to declare they'll live

  540. and not die. They'll do this, this, this

  541. again. I, I was hearing from heaven

  542. what to say and I spoke these things out.

  543. OK. The next day I went with a

  544. family member to lunch and it turned out exactly as was

  545. spoken. Now again, I didn't think of

  546. this. I heard from heaven.

  547. The Holy Ghost was speaking to my spirit and I was just

  548. declaring it. But they recognized that

  549. everything that was spoken in that prayer came to pass just

  550. like it. That is bringing light into a

  551. dark situation. And we have this ability.

  552. And you know what? There are more and more people

  553. that if we will function this way, it will be easier to see

  554. people coming to the Kingdom. I I'm, I'm concerned that the

  555. reason why we don't see this big harvest is because we don't have

  556. enough lights. OK, now why do I say that?

  557. Romans chapter 13? Romans 1311 to 14 says it this

    Romans 13 chapter mention

  558. way. Do this knowing the time that is

  559. already, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from

  560. sleep. For now salvation is nearer to

  561. us than we, than when we believe.

  562. Do you know Jesus Christ is coming?

  563. It is very highly probable that He would come in our generation.

  564. Now, I know the generation before, but why should we not

  565. believe that He could literally come and you could be somebody's

  566. going to be the generation that has changed in the moment, the

  567. twinkling of an eye. So let it be us.

  568. I'll take it. I'll take it.

  569. I want to put on the glorified suit and go, whoa, look at this

  570. man. It's just just hold on a minute

  571. because I'm about to jump up out of here faster than Superman,

  572. right? Because again, it says you'll be

  573. changing the moment and twinkling.

  574. A nod doesn't say you're leaving at the same rate.

  575. You're going to have time to talk to some people before you

  576. go. Scripture bears that out.

  577. Anyway, With that being said, this salvation is nearer to us

  578. than ever before. So we need to be awake.

  579. We need to be realizing that our number one witness is being the

  580. light every day. You need to turn the light

  581. switch on in your life every day.

  582. That way when you walk into any store, any place of business,

  583. any house, the lights on and everybody's going to be affected

  584. by your light and you're not going to please everybody.

  585. Because those who the Bible tells us that Jesus came, they

  586. beheld the light, but they love the darkness.

  587. There's going to be people who hate you because you're light.

  588. Just stay light because it's not.

  589. It's not your responsibility to win them if they don't want to

  590. come. It is your responsibility to

  591. shine. Are you hearing me?

  592. Because evangelism is not just winning the lost.

  593. I'm going to say this again. Evangelism is not just winning

  594. the lost. I think we have kept this in one

  595. category, and that's a problem because we discredit other

  596. evangelistic opportunities. Number one, none of us can save

  597. anybody. And #2 no one can actually be

  598. saved unless the Spirit draws them.

  599. Will the spirit be drawing people?

  600. Absolutely. The question is, is you don't

  601. know when and I don't know when unless he talks to us about it.

  602. Because it's very clear that sometimes you're showing up

  603. would like just to plant a seed and you're never going to

  604. harvest that person. You were the one who put the

  605. seed in them from the first place.

  606. You may be someone who's just coming by watering them, which

  607. means you may consistently water them for a season of their life

  608. and then they go to another job or you go to another job and you

  609. never see them again, but you are watering that Now.

  610. What we do is we take evangelism as if they must be born again so

  611. we can put a notch on our belt and say, look, we LED someone to

  612. Christ today. That's not your responsibility

  613. to lead someone to Christ today. It's your responsibility to let

  614. your light shine. Now.

  615. It may include harvesting someone and it is a great

  616. privilege and you should be listening and focused that God

  617. may put someone by your path that's ready to harvest.

  618. And you are the one to to share with them and communicate to

  619. them how to receive Christ as their Lord.

  620. But take it all the way home and say, now we're going to church

  621. because this thing is not about where you're going to go when

  622. you die. This is a life commitment now.

  623. And it starts, you're going to be a disciple and disciples are

  624. in church. I'm not here to get you

  625. converted. I'm here to get you to church so

  626. that you can be trained, trained to reign.

  627. Are you hearing me? So again, this is not about

  628. leading someone in publics and then running home and shouting

  629. about it. Then we never see them.

  630. It's about the responsibility of hey, give me a number.

  631. I'll come pick you up. We get you over here.

  632. Listen, God sure said he'll never leave you nor forsake you

  633. and we're not here to abandon you.

  634. You live in the same town I am here we go.

  635. Or if there's just someone that's from somewhere else,

  636. vacation and you're like, where are you living?

  637. I'm a find your church. Do you know someone back home

  638. that's going with is you got something planned?

  639. Can I get you number? And you're following up with

  640. these things that way when they get back into Massachusetts, did

  641. you get to church? Did you get then?

  642. I understand you can't force them, but you want to go a

  643. little bit further because evangelism has a light shining.

  644. A lot of people need to get saved in Boston, right?

  645. Hallelujah. And New York, not so much.

  646. In Kansas City. Just kidding.

  647. They're already Royals. OK, with that being said, let's

  648. go on verse 12. The night is almost gone and the

  649. day is near. Therefore here it is.

  650. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on.

  651. Now here's crazy thing. The Bible tells us that when

  652. you're born again you become a child of light.

  653. Yet Romans tells us you got to lay something off and put

  654. something on in the Spirit. You are light.

  655. When you're born again, you've been made the righteous of God

  656. in Christ. Inside you is the greatest.

  657. I mean, there is no spotlight that is brighter than how you

  658. are in the Spirit. The problem is, is that your

  659. mind can put a basket over the illumination that you are on the

  660. inside just wanting to get out. What good is the lighthouse if

  661. we cover the light and it can turn around on the inside all

  662. day long and be so bright that if you were inside and it was

  663. covered, you would be like, I'm about to be blind.

  664. It's so bright in here, but it's not for in there.

  665. It's to go out into the darkness so that people can be drawn to

  666. the light. That's the point.

  667. We come to church and it gets so bright in here, but then we want

  668. to get out and cover it up when we're at work.

  669. You can't do that. It is the be out in darkness.

  670. The world needs you to shine. They need you to shine.

  671. So you have to lay aside the deeds of darkness.

  672. When you're like, man, I don't. Why do I not do this anymore?

  673. Because I'm a different person. The one who did is dead.

  674. They're not even alive anymore. I'm a new creature in Christ.

  675. I'm not the same person. And when you accept that as the

  676. reality of your new birth experience, then you'll start

  677. saying I'm not. That is a deed of darkness.

  678. That is a deed of darkness. That is you're taking captive

  679. thoughts that puts you back in darkness and covers up who you

  680. are. And you're like, no, I'm going

  681. to put on the arm or light. I'm going to do it God's way.

  682. He's light. I'm light, I do it his way.

  683. So what is some of these things? Verse 13 Let us behave properly

  684. as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual

  685. promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.

  686. All those things are dark deeds. We don't do these things say I

  687. don't do them anymore. When you do your willfully

  688. putting a basket over your light and it was never designed for

  689. you to do that. The light is supposed to shine.

  690. All right, the world needs you to shine.

  691. Verse 14 but put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no

  692. provision for the flesh in regards to us lust.

  693. See, when you don't live a fleshly life, you live a life

  694. full of light, period. Full of light.

  695. All right, last Scripture, Philippians, chapter 2.

    Philippians 2 chapter mention

  696. Philippians, chapter 2, verse 15 and 16.

    Philippians 2:15

  697. Our number one assignment. You say, how are we doing in

  698. evangelism? Well, how how bright is your

  699. light shining? I mean, the church could

  700. technically double over on Sunday if you invited someone

  701. and actually got them here. I mean, you understand numbers

  702. in a sense really aren't that hard.

  703. The point though is, are you letting your light shine in

  704. invitations again, Ernie and Evelyn?

  705. Evelyn, before she married Ernie, she said she had a Co

  706. worker that I think it was for 10 years invited her to church.

  707. That means 10 years, this person couldn't help but shine and know

  708. that your life's not going to change until you get right with

  709. God and one place that I can bring you to a very a big

  710. bonfire. In essence, when you bring them

  711. to church, you bring them to a bonfire.

  712. It's just a big bonfire is what we got is like, wow, look at

  713. this big bonfire, right? And so they come in and man,

  714. here you go. And she was like, fine, I'm

  715. going. And man, God showed up because

  716. he was already a light to her life, consistent.

  717. And she saw how he lived for 10 years.

  718. He was different. Some people we go on to see

  719. coming to the Kingdom of God may take 10 years.

  720. So don't feel bad about that. We may see things faster.

  721. That's great too. But at the end of the day, it

  722. doesn't come without being the light because we're sure not

  723. drawing them if we're dark. All right.

  724. So this last verse is this Philippians 215 and 16.

  725. It says so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and

  726. innocent children of God above reproach in the midst of a

  727. crooked and perverse generation among whom you appear as lights

  728. in the world. Verse 16, holding fast the word

  729. of life. How do you keep the light on

  730. you? Hold fast the word of life.

  731. If you are not in the word, knowing the word, rightly divine

  732. the word, you are letting your light die.

  733. And I, I can tell you there's plenty of people that are safe.

  734. I asked you to send in my heart to save me and they have not

  735. stoked that fire ever since. And if you saw them in the

  736. world, they are carnal Christian.

  737. In fact, they're just a babe. I remember Paul said, look, I

  738. wanted to say something different to you guys, but I

  739. have to speak to you as babes. You know, how do I know you're

  740. babes? Because you're acting like the

  741. world. He says.

  742. You're acting like mere men. First Corinthians 3 mere men.

  743. I I can't tell the difference between you and those that are

  744. outside the Kingdom. I cannot tell the difference

  745. between you and those that are in the domain of darkness

  746. because of how you're acting the fruit of your life right now.

  747. So they in order to keep your light shining, you must feed the

  748. fire, and that is with the word of God.

  749. You hold fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I

  750. will have no reason. He says to glory, because I did

  751. not run in vain, nor toll in vain.

  752. Paul was greatly concerned and I believe that this needs to

  753. become our concern. Paul had a deep concern, not

  754. just for those that were outside the Kingdom, but for those who

  755. were in it. He had a deep concern.

  756. I mean, you understand our modern day gospel in the United

  757. States is this, hey, have you asked Jesus into your heart?

  758. You know, let me pray with you, OK?

  759. Let me pray with you, brother. Can we when we're going to pray

  760. and you pray and you pray, the sinners praying like man, you're

  761. born again, man, you're going to go one day and then you're gone.

  762. And you never see the person. You don't give them any

  763. additional responsibility. It's like having birth of a

  764. child and then you walk away and nobody's there to care for it.

  765. And then we're running around saying I saw that I got this

  766. person born again here and I got this person born again here.

  767. And that person is crying out for milk, but there is no milk

  768. because they've been late. They've been left there.

  769. They're an infant. They don't know how to.

  770. Now I understand a person born again can hear the Holy Ghost

  771. and can move. I get, but we are putting way

  772. too much on an infant in Christ who does have the Holy Ghost to

  773. have to navigate it. God never intended for the Holy

  774. Spirit once they get inside a person to do it without the rest

  775. of the body. There be there's no reason for

  776. us to even have church then. And a lot of them are already at

  777. that. But you know what, they're just

  778. babes. They're just babes.

  779. So the point is, is that we are are we've got to let our light

  780. shine. We have to actually have concern

  781. for the law for the the believer, the Hey, keep your

  782. light shining. You need to keep your light

  783. shining. You need to keep your light

  784. shining because Paul's like man on that day when I stand before

  785. the Lord and you show up and I I hope that at the end of the day,

  786. I didn't do that for nothing. And all that labor, all that,
