  1. First Timothy 3:15 it says, But in case I am delayed, Paul says

    1 Timothy 3:15

  2. the apostle I write so that you will know Say no, so you will

  3. know how 1 ought to conduct himself in the household of God,

  4. say household of God, which is the Church of the living God,

  5. the pillar and support of the truth.

  6. Lot it lot to unpacking this one verse and we won't unpack

  7. everything because of where we're going, but we see here

  8. that the apostle Paul is saying to Timothy, who's pastoring the

  9. church at Ephesus, the one whom he planted, he said, now listen,

  10. there is a way to conduct yourself in the household, which

  11. is the Church of the living God, which is the pillar and support

  12. of truth. This is why from this scripture

  13. I realized that the the role of the church is not to win the

  14. lost alone. The role of the church is to be

  15. the pillar and support of the truth and the truth is 1 must be

  16. born again. But that's not the only truth

  17. that the church possesses. And when you decide that the

  18. only thing that the church is here is to tell people that

  19. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, then you are

  20. ignoring multiple and many facets of truth that God has for

  21. the believer that you're unwilling to communicate.

  22. Which is why the household of God has so much dysfunction

  23. because they don't know how they ought to conduct themselves.

  24. Let me just say it this way. When you walked into this

  25. building, you did not walk into the United States of America,

  26. the Constitution of the United States of America.

  27. The only part that applies to you is the freedom of worship

  28. outside of that. And even then is really

  29. irrelevant because when you walked in here, you moved into

  30. the Kingdom of God, and that culture's different.

  31. So in the United States, you may have this belief, I do whatever

  32. I want to do. I'm free to do what I want.

  33. I'm free to express what I want. Not in the Kingdom.

  34. So we're not in the US in this building.

  35. We're in the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of heaven.

  36. There's a way you ought to conduct yourself.

  37. I said you ought to. Now the new American standard

  38. says ought. But if you break down this word

  39. ought, it actually has a little firmer meaning to it.

  40. Now I believe that they use ought, because at the end of the

  41. day, God cannot make you do anything.

  42. He doesn't make you do anything. In fact, God, because of His

  43. love towards you will let you do whatever you want to do, but He

  44. will hold you accountable to whatever you do.

  45. And there will come a time that there isn't a reckoning cause

  46. whatever a man soweth, sows he will, he's going to reap.

  47. And they whether it's in the this lifetime that you're

  48. walking in at some point, everyone is accountable to what

  49. they're doing in God's Kingdom. Nothing is being get gotten away

  50. with. And I don't think I'm saying

  51. that exactly right, but it sounds good in the South, no one

  52. is getting away with anything in the Kingdom of God.

  53. No one are you hearing me? So if you think somebody's

  54. getting away with something, you're, you're mistaken because

  55. God sees it all and will. And you know what, sometimes

  56. when people aren't receiving the action that you're like, man

  57. they deserve, it's because God's merciful and, and giving them a

  58. pathway of repentance before he has to act 'cause he will act

  59. unless repentance comes. Are you hearing me?

  60. I said, are you hearing me? And that's the power of God's

  61. grace, actually. All right.

  62. Another translation would say it this way.

  63. A faithful version is what it's called in this context where we

  64. take this statement so that you will know how one ought to

  65. conduct himself in the household of God.

  66. It would sound like this. So you may know how one is

  67. obligated to conduct oneself in the House of God, how one is

  68. obligated. Say obligated.

  69. Say I have an obligation. Come on, say it again, I have an

  70. obligation. Say I'm obligated.

  71. Now see, that's more than ought. Well, ought to.

  72. And the apostle Paul and the ones who translated here realize

  73. that, you know, people don't have to conduct themselves the

  74. proper way in the household of God, but they ought to.

  75. But this translation says you're obligated.

  76. Actually, you keep giving yourself a pass, but God's not.

  77. And just because He's not bringing something that lets you

  78. know outside of just His Word that is wrong and you're not

  79. feeling the pain any other way per SE, doesn't mean He's

  80. pleased and He's accepting your behavior.

  81. It's not doing it. Let's look at another one.

  82. The Berean Standard Bible says it this way so that you will

  83. know how each one must conduct himself in God's household.

  84. Say must say obligated. All got quiet all of a sudden.

  85. Do we want to sing and dance a little bit again?

  86. You know, this lets me know we still have AUS culture in US and

  87. that we don't we do not really understand what Jesus has done

  88. so that we can be alive like we are.

  89. And we definitely do not understand the Kingdom that when

  90. we get really quiet about obligations and musts and we

  91. don't like, I don't know if I like that, that that

  92. independence is scratching you again.

  93. The enemy's saying you're not going to die.

  94. You don't really have to live that way.

  95. All right, another version says this, that you may know how it

  96. is required to conduct yourself in the House of God.

  97. Now, I don't think I have any parents here that probably would

  98. disagree with this thought process.

  99. But you know, when you have a house and you're the parent, you

  100. have children, You know, you may have on more than one occasion

  101. said this. You're going to do what I say in

  102. my house. Now, that isn't always

  103. applicable in today's generation.

  104. Just let you know. I understand that, but God gave

  105. parents the authority to train children, which means then the

  106. train, the trainee shouldn't tell the trainer come on.

  107. I mean, why would you spend $100.00 an hour for a trainer to

  108. help you out to, to get in shape to eat right and all these

  109. things and then not do what they say?

  110. When I go to my chiropractor, if I have some issue of something

  111. going on, I ask the question and when they say do this, I can

  112. say, well, I'm not doing it. And then if I go back and say,

  113. was it still hurting? Yes, what did you do?

  114. What I say? No, well, why would I ask the

  115. one who understands the body trained in it to help keep me in

  116. alignment. And then I just want to so,

  117. well, you know, I think I'm going to do something different.

  118. I have found that if I actually do the exercise, they say it

  119. works. I let the trainer train me.

  120. I don't tell the trainer what to do yet.

  121. We have plenty of parents who are letting their children tell

  122. them what they're going to eat, what they're going to wear, when

  123. they going to sleep, how they going to talk, who they going to

  124. go out with, right. But yeah, there was a time, you

  125. know, back in the day when we would be like, as long as you

  126. and my house under my roof. And I love you and I want your

  127. participation. But we're a family.

  128. And I am here to give you instruction so that when you're

  129. out on your own, when you get out on your own, you'll be able

  130. to have the authority to make those choices and decisions.

  131. And I pray that you'll always submit to God as we have.

  132. And anytime we didn't submit to God, right with a training of

  133. our children, we repented. Ask them to forgive us.

  134. And God, we weren't perfect parents, but we were mature.

  135. We were consistent. If we grounded them, they were

  136. grounded. There was no, there was no

  137. parole, there was no release on good behavior because I wasn't

  138. giving them that long of a term. I mean, I as parents cave after

  139. a week. They can't even do a week, 2

  140. days and they're like, well, you're off.

  141. And most of the time we're off because it's inconvenient for us

  142. to continue to keep the exercise of discipline over their lives.

  143. If you don't watch out, then they manipulate you with good

  144. behavior, which means they're good behavior is actually bad

  145. behavior. Cause Pharisees use scripture

  146. wrong. Hallelujah say Amen anyway.

  147. So there's a way we ought to say ought to you know, we're

  148. obligated say obligated say we must say it's required.

  149. It's required how many people truly believe right now that

  150. everything you're doing right now you can continue to do when

  151. you go to heaven? Oh, yeah, that's what I thought.

  152. You already know that attitude, holding that unforgiveness,

  153. walking in that you know way, doing whatever it is that you're

  154. like, I have no record that that's in heaven.

  155. Now, I'm not going to preach Raphael's message, but I'm going

  156. to use an excerpt because I believe he probably will.

  157. I'll let him minister again and he'll probably release this.

  158. It's really powerful. So when I say it, don't get

  159. scared, OK? Because he'd be like, oh man,

  160. he's going. But it was really powerful how

  161. he ministered last night. But there's a way we're

  162. required, obligated, and we must conduct ourselves in the

  163. household of God. It's called freedom, it's called

  164. liberty, it's called life, and anything contrary to His word,

  165. you have deceived yourself that it's OK and it is not.

  166. And it doesn't matter that you're a child of God, it is not

  167. OK at all. And God never expected you to

  168. come into His house continuing to live that way, not when He

  169. made you new, and not when He gave you the Holy Spirit because

  170. He wants you to be a reigning church.

  171. The church is the household of God and in the household of God,

  172. just like in your own house. People can make mistakes.

  173. They can, but you understand, I do not find it joyful when I was

  174. parenting and my children were there to see them mess up so

  175. that I could have the joy of forgiving them.

  176. OK, must say that again. I didn't wake up every day and

  177. say, man, I sure hope Pastor Chase blows it.

  178. I hope he blows it today. I sure hope he blows it.

  179. I hope he does wrong. I hope he goes against my word.

  180. I hope he does something I don't want him to do.

  181. Man, I hope he does. Oh glory to God, I hope he does.

  182. Why? So that I can later forgive him.

  183. We act like forgiveness is God's greatest attribute and the

  184. problem that the reason this is listen, I'll give it to you.

  185. The reason isn't because this is how you got to hear him again.

  186. This was your first invitation back into the family is he's

  187. like your conduct, behavior and nature is all wrong and it's not

  188. good enough to be in my house. It's filthy rags.

  189. It's worthless. It doesn't matter how much you

  190. try. It's a stench and I would never

  191. let that in my house. I'm going to say that again.

  192. I would never let that in my house.

  193. You understand when we say that I'm not saying that a person

  194. lost can't come to church. You understand, I would I can

  195. bring a homeless person into my home and feed them, but that

  196. doesn't make them a part of my my house.

  197. So when he Jesus is saying, when the father is saying that's not

  198. coming up in my house. That mean when you're in my

  199. house, that means you have access all the time.

  200. That means you can come in, come, you can go, you can move

  201. around and each when I say go, I'm not talking about going out

  202. back in the world. I'm saying you got free access

  203. to the house. You can sleep here, you can eat

  204. here. Everything's provided for you

  205. here. But if you're going to stay at

  206. the house, there is a way that you're going to have to live.

  207. And in order for that, when you get to the door, which is called

  208. the cross, that spirit of man that was dead, separated and had

  209. no access as a child of God is evicted from your skin.

  210. So you become a child of God. Then you're able to come into

  211. the House of which he immediately with the Holy Spirit

  212. says, now this is how you are obligated to behave.

  213. This is how you must act. And again, with any parent, we

  214. don't teach all of our children everything at the beginning

  215. because when they're obeyed, there's only so much work

  216. teaching them initially. And the same thing is you may

  217. bring things in, but it's not going to it's going to show up

  218. that God's going to say that doesn't happen in this house.

  219. Matthew chapter 12, verse 48 and 50.

    Matthew 12:48

  220. But Jesus answered the one who was telling him who said and he

  221. said, because Jesus is preaching and Mama Mary, I did not do this

  222. for Raphael last night, but we laughed because Pastor Joshua

  223. had this. He would.

  224. Pastor Joshua can be very quick witted and sometimes his wit is

  225. not very funny. It's just kind of stupid.

  226. You know some of his puns, but this one was really good.

  227. So Raphael's minister and he said Jesus was born of the

  228. virgin. Born of a virgin, he said, and

  229. none of us have been born of a virgin.

  230. Night. That ain't nobody in here born

  231. of a virgin. You know, Eloise, would you

  232. stand up? See this lady right here?

  233. Eloise was born of a virgin. Eloise, would your Mama please

  234. stand up? Let me introduce you to virgin

  235. now. Just so you know, Virgin was not

  236. a virgin when she gave birth to Eloise, but her name is Virgin.

  237. So I almost said that at the end, but I'm like, I'll stay

  238. away from that. Ain't that fun?

  239. Hallelujah. But this is really important.

  240. Jesus bombs there, Mary, his brothers and sisters, and

  241. they're like, hey, can you tell Jesus that mom wants to talk to

  242. him? And while Jesus is preaching and

  243. say Jesus kind of interrupted him, say your mom, your mom's

  244. out here, your mom's out here, She wants to talk to you.

  245. And then Jesus looks at the crowd and he says this, who is

  246. my Mama? Who's my mother and who are my

  247. brothers? It's a very powerful statement

  248. because Jesus cannot lie and Jesus has taken an opportunity

  249. to establish Kingdom culture. He goes on and stretching out

  250. his hand towards what? Not His converts towards His

  251. disciples, those who are studiers of His Word, to obey

  252. Him at His word. He said, Behold my mother and my

  253. brothers. Then he goes on and says this,

  254. and then gives the qualification, just so you know

  255. that there's no doubt of who he's talking about.

  256. He said Whoever are you, a whoever for whoever does,

  257. whoever what, hears, thinks about, comes to a place where

  258. it's spoken about. Does it 50% of the time. 75% of

  259. the time. Whoever does the will of of who?

  260. Whoever does the will of themselves, Whoever does what

  261. they want to do, when they want to do it how they want to do it.

  262. Whoever does the will of my father, just so you know, it's

  263. not Joseph on planet earth who is in heaven.

  264. He is my brother and sister and mother.

  265. So he says you are obligated, you must and required to conduct

  266. yourself in my household, which is the Church of the living God.

  267. Now you can call it church and it not be the living God's

  268. church. So let's just know that because

  269. the church is ekklesia, it's a it's a assembly.

  270. And so there's plenty of people who can assemble.

  271. And it's not the one he's building, but the one he's

  272. built. He has a household and the

  273. household are those who are his mother, brother and sisters and

  274. mothers, brothers and sisters are those who do the will of his

  275. father who are in heaven. That is qualifier that is not

  276. debatable, subject to your debate or subject to your

  277. personal thinking or the culture of the nation that you're

  278. naturally in. In fact, Jesus's first message

  279. is repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  280. Change your thinking. Jesus is not changing his

  281. thinking to be relatable to you so that He can get you into his

  282. house, and he is not compromising his house so that

  283. you can be in his house. He's telling you how to be in

  284. his house and what qualifies you to be in his house.

  285. Because as we were talking a lot of stuff out of prison in the

  286. Kingdom of God, double jeopardy does exist.

  287. Because if sin is what kept you out of a relationship with God,

  288. you can commit another sin after you're born of God and get out.

  289. Now, this is a rough deal with a lot of religious feathers here

  290. because, you know, people think once they're saved, they're

  291. always saved. No, Adam never knew sin and

  292. sinned. And there's no such then there's

  293. no way the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost can be an impartable sin

  294. if the believer could never lose it.

  295. And what they do is I say, well, the Bible says, you know what

  296. can take you? It's not talk.

  297. It's saying famines, It's saying pestilence, it's saying

  298. circumstances or situations cannot pull you from the love of

  299. God, but you can leave the love of God if you want to.

  300. You still have a free will even after salvation.

  301. Because if you didn't, then the houses of God would be full.

  302. There would never be a debate of what to do, when to do it,

  303. because you would automatically be right in line with scripture.

  304. We'd be in one mind, 1 accord in unity, everybody doing their

  305. gift and fit. No one would be arguing.

  306. There be no gossip, no strife, no nothing if all of a sudden

  307. you're free will left, there would be no believer being

  308. offended, no believer walking in unforgiveness, no believer

  309. slandering, no believer gossiping, no believer getting

  310. in outbursts of anger, no believer walking in the flesh.

  311. But yet they still do that Why Paul called him carnal because

  312. you still have a will. You can still determine, but God

  313. is saying now you ought to live a different way in my house.

  314. Same in anyway. So Jesus is saying I have a

  315. house and these are who is look and Jesus listen, Jesus and the

  316. Father are never asking you to do something that they're not

  317. doing themselves. John chapter 5 verse 30 says it

    John 5:30

  318. this way. He says I can do nothing on my

  319. own initiative as I hear I judge and my judgment is just because

  320. I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

  321. This is Jesus Christ our Lord. And if Jesus Christ, our Lord,

  322. only did the will of his Father on earth, why do we think we

  323. have an option in the household of God if we're truly born

  324. again? And we have said, Jesus, I

  325. believe you died on the cross, that you rose from the grave,

  326. and that your blood was perfect and paid the price for all my

  327. transgression, all of my sin. I accept you as my Lord and

  328. Savior because you've always been Lord.

  329. And now I acknowledge your lordship in my life so that life

  330. can come, because you're still Lord.

  331. And if I resist you as you, you being supreme in authority will

  332. cast me into the lake of fire. Accepting Jesus or not doesn't

  333. change his Lordship. It changes his lordship towards

  334. you, 'cause he's Lord, and he will judge the living and the

  335. dead, 'cause he's Lord. Whether you make him Lord or

  336. not, he's Lord. Whether you make him Lord or

  337. not, he's Lord. John chapter 12 verse 49 says

    John 12:49

  338. Jesus said, for I do not speak on my own initiative, but the

  339. Father himself who sent me has given me a command as what to

  340. speak and or what to say and what to speak.

  341. So Jesus, anything Jesus did is because he was led by the

  342. Spirit. Jesus did not show man what God

  343. can do. Jesus showed man what man can

  344. do. Anointed of God.

  345. In essence, Jesus is saying this is how you're obligated to live

  346. now. Again, when you're lost, you

  347. can't live this way. But when you're born of God, now

  348. you have access to this type of life.

  349. Now you can stay in sin consciousness and see yourself

  350. as a sorry Sinner saved by grace that you never ever going to

  351. measure up, can't do anything. Well, that's really just the

  352. devil talking in your ear because he never wants you to

  353. reach your potential. Because if you find out that

  354. you're a child of the living God, that you're the child of a

  355. king, that you've been given authority and the name of Jesus,

  356. that you can heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils,

  357. that you have the power of God and all of God's powerful

  358. Kingdom can function and flow through you.

  359. That wherever you all, if you'll speak the words of the king,

  360. then it has to come to pass. Because when the word of God and

  361. the Spirit of God are connected, it always produces.

  362. And He never wants you to discover that because he would

  363. continually be losing people from His domain into our domain,

  364. because you would be a representative of Jesus himself

  365. and the Kingdom of heaven. So we can convince you, just be

  366. happy. I mean, there are so many people

  367. even in this room right now that are holding on to past hurts

  368. that Christ has already paid the price for and you're keeping old

  369. behaviors that He has eradicated through the blood.

  370. You're holding on the thoughts, opinions, attitudes, actions

  371. towards others, towards your kids, towards your spouse that

  372. God's literally talking to you through scripture and say quit

  373. doing that. Be more patient, yield yourself

  374. to them. Let them make that decision.

  375. Quit trying to make the decisions all the time.

  376. Hallelujah. And I give you freedom right

  377. now. If that's you, say man, he's

  378. talking the Lord speaking to me right now.

  379. Get up, come down, pray, repent, say Lord, forgive me, and then

  380. go back to your seat. Be somebody that's a leader.

  381. Show somebody that you know what he is, right?

  382. And you know what, we ought to conduct ourselves this way.

  383. You know what, we should live for God.

  384. You know what? I don't really care about y'all

  385. as much as I care about him, but I actually do care about y'all.

  386. Because if I'm going to care about you, then I need to be

  387. right with him. And I can't be a right example

  388. to you if I'm not right with him.

  389. So let me go get right with Him so that I can really care about

  390. you instead of being prideful because you're concerned what

  391. they think. Well, if you're concerned what

  392. they think, get right with God. Then when they see you, all they

  393. can think is that you're right with God.

  394. And that's what leadership looks like.

  395. Hallelujah. Because I said again, it's like

  396. we are wanting God to be so excited about forgiving us.

  397. We just wake up every day looking for an opportunity to do

  398. something wrong so that we can say, you know what?

  399. I'm just so thankful he forgives me for that today.

  400. God is such a good God. He forgave me and he is a

  401. forgiving God. Don't get me wrong.

  402. But there's a higher way to live beyond seeking perpetual daily

  403. forgiveness. Raphael mentioned this passive

  404. scripture. I'm not going to go into his

  405. details through his angle, but this is really powerful

  406. statement. Samuel, who's the prophet of

  407. God, stands before King Saul and he instructs him the course of

  408. God to conquer each nation. And Saul has obeyed up to this

  409. particular nation, this particular nation.

  410. The Lord gave an instruction to eliminate everything, period.

  411. Saul, however, chose to respond to that nation like he had

  412. responded by God's voice, the ones previous.

  413. If it had not, if this had been a day earlier, a week earlier,

  414. the nation before, we wouldn't have a problem.

  415. And you know what? So many people are living on

  416. yesterday's word of God, but he's got a word for you now, and

  417. you can't apply yesterday's word that caused you to overcome one

  418. way where you didn't have to do a particular thing or or deny a

  419. particular deal or make an adjustment a particular way.

  420. Now he may be saying something else and you're like, well, I'll

  421. just keep doing it the way I've been doing it.

  422. And then the Lord's like, well, we have a problem.

  423. And so Samuel shows up and King Saul has the audacity, which is

  424. what most believers do when they're in disobedience.

  425. Honestly. Well, you know, I'm doing what

  426. God says. The Lord knows my heart.

  427. Yeah, you're right, He does. And the prophet speaking to you

  428. right now and he's saying, why am I hearing the sheep bleat in

  429. the background? Why do I keep hearing stuff

  430. bleeping in your life that should not be making a sound

  431. anymore? Why do I keep hearing this in

  432. your life? That should not be making a

  433. sound anymore. This should have been destroyed.

  434. Why is this same cycle keep speaking in your life?

  435. It should be. It should have no voice.

  436. The only reason has a voice is because you decided what to

  437. eliminate and what to keep and what you kept.

  438. Now you're going to determine what's the best of that, and

  439. you're going to sacrifice that to the Lord.

  440. First Samuel 15 or 1522, Samuel said has the Lord as much

  441. delight and burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the

  442. voice of the Lord. Behold to obey is what is what

  443. is what is what is what. Come on out like your team just

  444. scored a winning touchdown is what.

  445. Thank you is better than sacrifice.

  446. You know obedience is better than getting forgiveness because

  447. if you just obey God then he doesn't have to forgive you.

  448. If Adam had never eaten the fruit then Jesus would not had

  449. to have come die to give us all forgiveness.

  450. If we just obey, then God doesn't have to move into

  451. sacrificing something because sacrifice is not your sacrifice,

  452. it's His sacrifice. Every time you disobey, it's his

  453. sacrifice for your disobedience. And we want his forgiveness.

  454. So basically we're saying go to the cross again, Just go to the

  455. cross again, just go to the cross again.

  456. Why don't you just go to the cross again?

  457. When the Lord's like, I made you a new creature in Christ, I gave

  458. you the Holy Ghost, I've given you the word, I've given you the

  459. teacher, the counselor, the instructor.

  460. Now you can obey. You can obey me.

  461. You can cast that thought down. You can take that thought

  462. captive you don't have. You can make your body get into

  463. submission. You can yield to my spirit.

  464. You can walk by my spirit. You can speak by my spirit.

  465. Why are you wanting me to sacrifice again?

  466. Because you were wanting to fail to obey.

  467. It's better to walk in obedience than to ask for forgiveness.

  468. Let me give you the modern day statement of King Saul.

  469. Well, now, sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than

  470. permission. Now we'll just ask for

  471. forgiveness instead of permission.

  472. And what is that? What you're doing is you're

  473. abusing the nature of the forgiver.

  474. Yes, that's good because you choose to not obey, not because

  475. you can't. Child of God.

  476. People who are outside the household can't.

  477. People in the house, can they choose not to?

  478. And the reason this has creeped into the church is because we've

  479. allowed all kinds of little labels to get around

  480. dysfunctional behavior. I mean, I could start naming

  481. stuff, but, you know, it'd be pretty Dang controversial right

  482. now. So I'm going to stay away from

  483. it because, I mean, you're quiet already as it is.

  484. But there's these orders that start getting labeled on people,

  485. and that means your behavior is acceptable because you're this.

  486. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on now.

  487. Yeah. Well, I have a new nature, and

  488. my new nature changes my behavior because when I had no

  489. self-control, I was given the Holy Ghost that one of his

  490. fruits is, oh, y'all don't want to hear this?

  491. So how as a believer can I say, well, I just can't control

  492. myself when I have the one who raised Christ from the dead

  493. living on the inside of me because I let the Spirit

  494. dominate my mind, my thinking, my body, and I'm like, I'm going

  495. to obey because my Father is pleased when I obey him.

  496. In fact, he wakes up every day and said, man, I can't wait for

  497. Tony to obey me today. I'm ready to bless him and that

  498. obedience. I'm ready to give him everything

  499. of that obedience, everything he obeys me in.

  500. I'm ready to lavish upon him life a provision, abundance,

  501. peace, security, protection. I mean, I'm ready just to pour

  502. it out because he's such an obedient child.

  503. Hallelujah. I said Hallelujah and even in

  504. the midst of your obedience, when it looks like all hell has

  505. broken loose, don't think God doesn't see your obedience.

  506. Listen, don't you be one big concerned if you get stuck in a

  507. joke moment where you're being righteous, you're living it

  508. right. You're doing everything you can

  509. to be right, but all of a sudden attack comes and makes it look

  510. like you are not doing nothing God's told you to do and

  511. everybody is blaming you and saying you're not who you think

  512. you are. But Job stayed true to God and

  513. after a process of time, God let everybody know this man was

  514. faithful, this man was righteous and I'm going to bless him with

  515. double then what was taken because he was an obedient man

  516. the whole while. And the ones that talk bad about

  517. him, he said, you better go ask Job to pray for you.

  518. Good, good. When he came started talking to

  519. them, they got said you better go get Joe to pray for you.

  520. The one that you just ran down, talked about slandered, said

  521. there's no way you living like that.

  522. And you know what it showed Job's love walk when he says,

  523. yeah, I'll pray for you. That just proves Job was

  524. righteous the whole time because they're like, I'll pray for you.

  525. I mean, who am I to hold what you just did that you were

  526. totally wrong. I mean, I was telling you I was

  527. like, that isn't it? But at the end of the day, you

  528. want to believe what you want to believe, but God, but God, he

  529. showed up. He showed out.

  530. John 1415 says this, If you love me, Jesus is talking.

  531. You will keep my commandments because love obeys and again, we

  532. just throw love out so flippantly and that like you

  533. know, you can be in total rebellion and that means you

  534. still love me, Jesus, like I know you love me.

  535. Why? Because you keep my word.

  536. That's why I know because you're a doer of it.

  537. Come on now. John 1423 to 24 says Jesus

  538. answered, said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word

  539. and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our

  540. abode with him. What makes the Father and Jesus

  541. to hang out with you? Because you obey when you feel

  542. like man. It feels like the Lord is far

  543. away. Where's he at?

  544. Well, maybe you need to get back in obedience because they hang

  545. out around obedience. He who does not love me does

  546. not. Why is it that we want to debate

  547. these scriptures? We've become so psych

  548. psychological. He who does not love me does not

  549. keep my words. You're going to tell me you love

  550. God, but you don't do anything he says.

  551. So it's obvious. Then the Scripture is letting us

  552. know, saying I love you, Lord, is not loving God.

  553. Now, you may have convinced yourself that you can say that

  554. and that's what it means, but He's defining to us what it

  555. means to love him and what it means to not love him.

  556. Hallelujah. And again, if you're a believer,

  557. guess what? This is easy for you to keep the

  558. word because he said my word is not burdensome.

  559. It's not burdensome. My yoke is light.

  560. It's easy keeping my words not burdensome.

  561. Why? Because I'm the one who's going

  562. to empower you to be able to do my word, Hallelujah, because

  563. I've given you the power that manifests the word all the time.

  564. Are you hearing me? First Corinthians chapter 12,

    1 Corinthians 12:18–20

  565. verse 18 to 20 then says this. But now God has placed the

  566. members, each one of them, in the body just as He desired,

  567. which means then the one who picks the house is the one who's

  568. the head of the house. And so the very first thing that

  569. we get to do is to be able to hear from God of where He

  570. assigns us and what we're supposed to do in the body.

  571. Because in the next verse, verse 19 says if we were all one

  572. member, where would the body be? But now there are many members

  573. but one body. So we're even supposed to obey

  574. #1 where we're supposed to be connected, who we're supposed to

  575. be connected, what vision we're supposed to be connected with.

  576. And then do it with all the heart, soul, mind, and strength.

  577. It becomes our seat first because we love Him.

  578. And out of it the equipping of the Saints occurs so that you

  579. can do the work of the ministry to where you produce the fruit

  580. of the Kingdom of God in your sectors of society, and it

  581. changes your life. Acts chapter 20, verse 28 says

    Acts 20:28

  582. that those may be on God for yourself and for all the flock

  583. among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to shepherd

  584. the Church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

  585. Did He purchase you? Does he own you?

  586. Yeah, He owns you. He sure does.

  587. And I'm OK with that because I want him to own me.

  588. I want him to own me. I want him to renovate me.

  589. I want him to renew my mind. I want him to remodel my life.

  590. He already made me a new creature in Christ.

  591. And I want him to have all access to me because I want to

  592. be the best version of me that he saw before the foundations of

  593. the world and before I was in my mother's womb.

  594. And I trust him because he's trustworthy.

  595. He is faithful. His way is better than my way

  596. his. His ways are higher than my

  597. ways, His thoughts are better than my thoughts, and his way is

  598. life. And he's the one I say yes, Sir,

  599. to. Yes, Daddy.

  600. Whatever you say, Dad. I love you Dad, and I know

  601. anything you say towards me is good for me.

  602. It's to my benefit. It's to cause me to be

  603. successful. It allows me to show you and

  604. glorify you because again, I'm not the center of the world.

  605. You are. I'm not the the God you are.

  606. You're God. When does the created tell the

  607. Creator? This is Isaiah's issue, when

  608. he's took the clay and threw it on the Potter's wheel and the

  609. Potter's mold in it, and the clay's like, don't touch me

  610. there. He's like, how does the clay

  611. tell the Potter? How can you tell God?

  612. You can't love something, you can't forgive something, you

  613. can't do this, you can't do that.

  614. When he's like, really, you can. You know what?

  615. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

  616. Hallelujah. You can get up and dance even

  617. when your body and your life. I'm not really much of A dancer

  618. and I don't feel like it. Feelings irrelevant.

  619. Being sensitive enough to the spirit, being sensitive enough

  620. to that step. Brown's like I got him.

  621. If he falls, I am jumping out of the seat.

  622. I am going to catch him. Hallelujah, say Hallelujah.

  623. Now, this is really an exciting message.

  624. It really is. The problem is we're so

  625. conditioned that anytime instructions or corrections come

  626. in, you know, we got to act like, oh, whoa, whoa.

  627. When really you're like, glory to God.

  628. Yeah, that's what I was doing wrong.

  629. Awesome. I remember a time when I was in

  630. the Army and I was shooting the weapon for qualification and

  631. getting a foxhole and, you know, you're firing down range, man.

  632. And when I was in the foxhole, I was standing up and I have my my

  633. weapon on my sandbags and I'm boom, I'm popping.

  634. I am dropping targets 300 meters.

  635. Doesn't matter. I'm dropping off of them all.

  636. Then I get out in the prone unsupported position like this

  637. and now I'm down there fire and man, I'm missing everything.

  638. I can't hit. I can't even hit the 25 meter.

  639. I mean, it's like what is happening?

  640. And so we're zeroing in my weapon, you know, and I'm bared.

  641. I'm like, what is going on? And the next day's qualification

  642. and you have to get so many laying down to qualify.

  643. And I can't hit the broadside of a barn yet when I'm in the

  644. foxhole standing up, it's like, you don't want to come around me

  645. because you're going to die. And so I'm like, what is going

  646. on in my drill Sergeant? He was looking.

  647. He was looking. He was looking.

  648. He was looking because he's the expert.

  649. He's the one who's doing the training.

  650. And my gosh, I want to be right. I want to pass.

  651. I want to, you know, succeed. And so I'm down.

  652. And he noticed that I would pull my elbow up to get a little

  653. hype, which is not what I was doing in the foxhole.

  654. So I was changing my line of sight.

  655. And when he saw that one thing, he said, private, this is what

  656. you're doing now. He wasn't very nice about it

  657. either. And I didn't get offended and

  658. then call my mom and cry and get a dishonorable discharge.

  659. But man, when he did it, then I started firing Bam, bam, bam,

  660. bam. I was hitting them all.

  661. I was like, Oh my gosh, I was like victory is mine.

  662. Why? Cuz what was wrong?

  663. You help me see it. I corrected it and it made me a

  664. sharpshooter. I mean, I was excellent.

  665. I was like 3 shots, two shots from being what they call a

  666. Hawkeye. I didn't get 4440.

  667. I was 38 out of 40. Bro, you today, you do not want

  668. to be coming across our parking lot during the apocalypse

  669. because I'm going to be up on if I was here, I'll be up on there.

  670. Come on, You know what I'm saying?

  671. And it's not good for you. It's seriously like a bicycle.

  672. And I got a little scope on mine with little red dot.

  673. I mean, I was hitting tennis balls over 100 yards away.

  674. Tennis balls. I'm like this is boring, let's

  675. pull out the pistols. I'm serious.

  676. Because I trained, all right? Because I don't want to have to

  677. fight you in my hands anyway. So I'd much rather take you that

  678. way long. Hallelujah if it came to that.

  679. All right, y'all doing all right?

  680. I said, you doing all right, Hallelujah.

  681. So God is speaking to us in the house.

  682. So let me cut this short, although I could expound on

  683. this, but I think I'm not first Peter chapter 4, let's actually

    1 Peter 4 chapter mention

  684. just go down to verse 17. Yeah, maybe we'll start at 16.

  685. Let's do 16 start at the 16th verse.

  686. So but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be

  687. ashamed, but is the glory, but is to glorify God in in his

  688. name. OK.

  689. Is that what it said in his name?

  690. Yeah. In this, in this name.

  691. You understand when you're obeying God, people, you're

  692. going to suffer because the world is in disobedience.

  693. So it just comes with a territory when you start acting

  694. right. And I don't want I I I have no

  695. desire for anything of the world.

  696. I've been redeemed. I've been pulled out of that.

  697. I don't, I don't want anything to do with it because I get to

  698. enjoy life at a higher level. At a higher level.

  699. I don't miss out on a thing, period, except flesh, which

  700. kills me. And I'm glad to miss out on

  701. that. Amen.

  702. I'm never going back verse 17. For it is time for it is time

  703. for judgment to begin with. All right, see, we stay away

  704. from these verses today because, you know, you know, the churches

  705. don't want to talk about these verses today because it uses

  706. that word that starts with AJ and it's not Jesus.

  707. OK. What is the household of God,

  708. the Church of the living God? Well, we're not going to be

  709. judged. You're always being judged.

  710. Now, judge is not a bad thing because judge is also a good

  711. word. And this is the problem because

  712. of your sin consciousness and your desire to always be

  713. forgiven. You always hear these words this

  714. way, but you understand. I'm thankful for the judge

  715. because I remember one time when I was a weightlifter and I was

  716. in a a county competition and I'd lifted in the 132 LB class

  717. because I was nothing but muscle and dropped to the 123 LB class

  718. because I was only 127 at the start of the season.

  719. I dropped 4 lbs and I show up at the county meet, no one knew my

  720. name, had no idea of what I lifted.

  721. And I jumped into the meet and they're like, who's this kid

  722. from Newberry, right? And this is all the big schools

  723. that were in Alachua County. And so Santa Fe had this great

  724. athlete and Eastside had a great athlete as well.

  725. And so when we got to the bench, we, you know, when you get

  726. there, you put down what you're what you're going to bench,

  727. right? You give them your first number.

  728. Now if you, if 135 is being lifted and then it goes to 1:40

  729. and you're like, oh, I want to do 135 too late.

  730. You missed it. Once it passes away, it does not

  731. go back. So you got to pay attention to

  732. where it's at in the competition.

  733. And so, you know, when it got to the bench thing, I was in 3rd

  734. place. OK, my bench wasn't as good as

  735. some of these. In fact, one guy benched 225 lbs

  736. At 123 lbs, he and a bench legal is coming off holding it come

  737. down. You touch your chest and there

  738. are three judges and they have lights and so they get to click

  739. their light, but one of the judges will clap once you

  740. completely stop it on your chest and it's a full press.

  741. You can't bounce it. You can do it has to stop and

  742. then you push it, lock it out. Both arms have to lock out at

  743. the same time. Now you can go up like this, but

  744. you got to lock out at the same time and then they'll clap again

  745. and you get the racket and then the lights come on.

  746. And if you get 2 out of 3, it's a pass you can go on.

  747. That means it's a successful lift and you want to be rewarded

  748. for a good lift. There's something great about

  749. being judged. See what I'm saying?

  750. Well, when we got to the clean and jerk, well, it just so

  751. happened what I benched, I could do in clean and jerk.

  752. And that's typically not what happens.

  753. The bench is usually better for the athlete and the clean and

  754. jerk is a lot less. So all of a sudden this guy from

  755. East Side who's in second, he's like, hey, what are you going to

  756. go in on? I said no, I don't know yet why

  757. this competition. He's trying to mess with their

  758. mom. They don't even know who I am.

  759. Who's this, you know, beefed up, you know, super shredded kid

  760. from, you know, Newberry at 123 lbs.

  761. You know what I'm talking about, Trevor, right?

  762. You talking ripped. You know, the boys from Bellwood

  763. get scared about this stuff over there in Chiefland.

  764. And so. So what are you saying?

  765. Oh my God, come here, Raphael, since you're so vocal, I mean,

  766. I'm only talking about your weight class right now, right?

  767. I mean, you should be like yes, thank you, see, Amen.

  768. So give me an Amen. Amen.

  769. Thank you. All right, so this guy from East

  770. side, he does his 145 one 55160 because you can do a 10 LB jumps

  771. and then if you only do a 5 LB jump, then that's it.

  772. You can't go up again if you only do 5 lbs between lifts.

  773. So his last lifts 160 and I haven't even posted the guy from

  774. Alachua. I think he started at 165, then

  775. he went to 175 and I started at 175.

  776. All right. So after I did my first

  777. successful lift, I'm the only person lifting now.

  778. Everybody else is finished. I think he did 180 maybe, and

  779. that was it. And Coach Bass looked at me and

  780. he said, Earl, if you do 195, you win.

  781. It's my second lift. I said, let's do it because the

  782. week before I had done 200. So I was extremely confident.

  783. So I got up underneath. I got my judges there, right?

  784. And I popped up like this. Now, most people don't clean and

  785. jerk that way. I wish they would have taught me

  786. the other squat technique because then my left leg would

  787. be as big as my right and it's not.

  788. And that's why. Anyway, so I popped up like this

  789. and man, I stuck that thing so hard that it actually got behind

  790. me. And so I had AI mean

  791. milliseconds decision. Do I try to get this or do I let

  792. it go? I just walked out.

  793. It hit the ground, Coach caught his side.

  794. My friend Chad was not paying attention as a good spotter, so

  795. Coach Bass got jerked across the mat and then he slapped Chad on

  796. the butt, basically spanked him and it wasn't his child.

  797. I'm just letting you know we did a lot more things back in the

  798. day then we you can get away with today.

  799. Anyway, he kind of ringed you pay attention.

  800. So now we're at the next lift. Well, my competitor who's in,

  801. who's in first, and we'll only be in second if I make this

  802. lift, decided to get up behind the middle judge, do one of

  803. these poses. You know what I'm talking about,

  804. Tony. You know how Florida does that

  805. to Florida State. I'm just kidding.

  806. I'm kidding, because that pose did nothing anyway.

  807. So I popped the first one, right?

  808. And if I'll get it here, bro, it's going up.

  809. There's no way I'm going to get out from underneath it.

  810. And there he is looking at me and I got my judges and I need

  811. my judges to judge correctly. And I'm excited about these

  812. judges because I'm going to get 3 lights.

  813. I'm so confident. I looked at him and I went.

  814. I stared him down, winked at him, and I won.

  815. Hallelujah. See, when you know who you are

  816. in Christ, you can wink at the enemy, you can weaken the one

  817. who wants to take you down from the top, because you know my

  818. judges are going to judge me rightly according to what I'm

  819. about to perform. And you, we know that God will

  820. judge me rightly when I am a doer of His word and I'm a

  821. keeper of His word. And when I do His word in His

  822. household, then He will openly reward me and make a table

  823. before me in the presence of my enemies.

  824. This is why it is good to be righteous.

  825. So I don't mind if judgment comes to the household because

  826. when it comes to us first, then that means we can be victorious.

  827. Because He said if judgment comes to the household, put that

  828. verse back up. What will be the outcome for

  829. those who do not obey the gospel of God?

  830. He goes on to say in verse 18. And if it is with difficulty

  831. that the righteous is saved, what will become the godless man

  832. and the Sinner? Now we say difficulty.

  833. We're not saying you're earning it.

  834. We're saying that you do have to fight the good fight of faith.

  835. You cannot succumb to this world.

  836. You can't just say, well, I'm born again.

  837. I live like I want to and God knows it's OK.

  838. And I'll just keep getting this forgiveness all the time.

  839. No, that's not how you do it. You're like, you know what, I'm

  840. going to crucify the flesh. You know what?

  841. I'm going to put that down. You know what, I'm going to be

  842. the obedient. You know, I don't really feel

  843. like doing that today, Lord, but you know what you owe me and

  844. that's OK because your life, your liberty, you know what, I

  845. am going to forgive them. You know what, I am going to

  846. walk in joy. You know what, I am going to

  847. dance. I am going to shout.

  848. You know I am going to give you praise.

  849. You know I am going to read my word.

  850. You know I am going to pray. You know I am going to and it's

  851. with difficulty, but the reality is I'm staying righteous,

  852. walking in the power of God. But what will become of the

  853. godless man or the Sinner? Verse 19 Therefore, those who

  854. have suffered according to the will of God shall entrust their

  855. souls to a faithful creator in doing what is right.

  856. Last two verses of this Galatians 610.

  857. So then why we have opportunity? Say I have an opportunity.

  858. I have an opportunity to be obligated, required, and must,

  859. while I have the opportunity to let us do good to all people and

  860. especially to those who are the household of faith.

  861. I have heard believers literally say this.

  862. You know, I get along with people in the world more than I

  863. do in the church. That's a problem.

  864. That's a big problem. There's 2 problems with that

  865. statement. Number one, why do you like the

  866. world so much that you can get along with them so good #2 are

  867. you not going to a good enough church where they're being

  868. discipled and trained and there's plenty of people who are

  869. actually living righteous and you can find them?

  870. Now, I'm not telling you everybody's perfect because

  871. we're not perfect. And perfection is not what we're

  872. here for. We're here for maturity and

  873. everybody ought to find a church that there's enough mature

  874. people that like, you know what, these people love God.

  875. They're living God. They're putting down their

  876. flesh, they're obeying. And I can count on this person

  877. to be obedient. They want to obey.

  878. Wow, they're look at them, they're just living the word.

  879. They're doing that. You know what?

  880. And those people are the greatest people to ever be

  881. around. You know what, they're better to

  882. be around the natural family. They actually you're like, this

  883. is my family and you'll actually experience family because again,

  884. I'm not doing what you want and you're not doing what I want.

  885. We're doing what he wants and this is really amazing.

  886. Last scriptures there second Peter chapter 3 verse 13.

    2 Peter 3:13

  887. Come on, worship team says this. But according to His promise, we

  888. are looking for new heavens and a new in which in which

  889. righteousness dwells, which tells us in the new heavens and

  890. the new earth unrighteousness will not dwell.

  891. So as we said earlier today, if there's things in your life

  892. right now that you know this wouldn't make it in heaven, this

  893. attitude I have wouldn't make it in heaven, then why don't we get

  894. rid of it now? Don't be deceived.

  895. You can have a heaven experience even in the earth because Jesus

  896. is not a liar. He said when you pray, pray this

  897. way, our Father who art heaven hallowed be your name, your

  898. Kingdom come, your will be done on as it is in heaven.

  899. And we know in the new heavens and the new earth, there's not

  900. going to be backbiting, jealousy, slander, gossip,

  901. murder, lying, cheating, stealing, fornication, all

  902. sexual immorality. There's not going to be bad

  903. thinking, wrong thoughts. No, we're going to be righteous,

  904. obeying the word of the King with great joy, with all of our

  905. heart, mind and soul. May the Church rise today to

  906. desire that which you already have the ability to do because

  907. you're a child of God, a child of the King, a new creature in

  908. Christ, and you have the Holy Ghost living on the inside of

  909. you. And he's also come upon you if

  910. He has and empowered you to overcome every form of

  911. temptation and has redeemed you from the law of sin and death.

  912. Wow. Wow.

  913. We are truly without excuse. I don't need an excuse.

  914. I'm just going to live for the Lord.
