Focus - Kingdom Nature

I want us to put this scripture up.

I did not give it to our team, but I think it would be really

good for our service to look at this verse for a moment before

we get into today's ministering of the Word.

And that is Matthew chapter 15, verse 3, Matthew chapter 15,

Matthew 15:3 Matthew 15:3

verse 3. And now we've used this verse a

lot, and Jesus himself is talking to some individuals that

are not unaware of Scripture. In fact, He's talking to the

group that hold the scriptures of that day, which is the law.

It is the book of Moses, the Torah.

And then they have the writings of prophets, all right?

And so they have a lot of manuscripts that they

meticulously go through and make sure that they are accurate and

complete. In fact, they actually have an

anointing on their lives in order to understand it, to give

instruction to the nation of Israel.

However, those that were gifted to function in this way love the

praises of men more than the praise or had the fear of God.

And as a result of that, they took the passages of Scripture

and they would form them. That would be politically

correct. We could say that for the day.

All right, so Jesus talking to religious people.

Now this is not those that did not have access.

He speaks to them and he says and he answered and he says, why

do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake

of your tradition? In essence, he talks to them.

You are making you're taking God's word.

You're establishing a man's religion with his word.

Living by it is only a tradition and it lacks power.

In fact, he went on to say at another time that you're causing

God's word to be of null effect or void, not because it lacks

power, but because you view it through the lens of tradition of

your human intellect and not spiritual revelation.

Because Jesus knew about spiritual revelation.

When he asked the disciples, who do you say, who do people say

that I am in Matthew 16? And then later on he says, well,

who do you say that I am? And Peter says you are the

Christ, the Son of the living God.

He said flesh and blood has not revealed this to you.

You could not have studied it through any synagogue.

You could have not gone through any line of Pharisitical

priesthood of which Paul did and missed that revelation.

But Peter, it was revealed to him by the Spirit that Jesus was

the Christ, which is the King that is to come and establish

his Kingdom forever. Hallelujah.

So traditions will affect God's word.

And so, you know, a lot of times people have this thought because

they've been taught traditionally that the gifts of

the Spirit died out with the apostles.

Well that's just not a true statement.

If you literally took the time to go through scripture you

would have to conclude it is false.

It is not truth, it is just man's attempt to make an excuse

of why they are not yielding to the Spirit and they through

their intellect now and through their own understanding want to

have a relationship with God instead of yielding to the

Spirit. Cause the Spirit will put you in

places that keep you solely dependent on Him.

Hallelujah and I thank God for the Holy Spirit, Amen.

And so with that being said, we want to make sure that we are

not stuck in a tradition is so important that no matter how

long you've been in church, that you always are open.

Lord, if there's something I'm seeing in the word that through

studying it, it challenges something I thought I knew, but

but now I cannot have enough truth to support it, then, Lord,

reveal the tradition so that I'll get rid of it, so that I'll

stay with your command. I'll stay with in essence, what

the Lord is saying about it. In my own personal life, I have

done this. I was was raised in a particular

denomination that its focus of truth was limited.

It was very singular in its approach.

It only wanted to focus on the salvation of man alone.

And as a result of that, there were many things that the

Scriptures talked about that that particular denomination did

not tread into those waters. And so I had a limited knowledge

of certain things as I began to seek God myself.

Because, you know, in that particular denomination, I had

this yearning, I knew that I was going to go to heaven if I died.

But I just had this sense there's more.

And that more was not myself wanting more.

It was the Holy Ghost in me saying, son, there's a lot more

than just going to heaven when you die.

There's a lot more and man, that lot more kept talking to me to

where it moved me scripturally to start seeking first.

Now I was just seeking first God.

I didn't realize there was a whole Kingdom behind it.

I just thought heaven was the result.

Didn't realize it was way bigger than that, but he then started

divinely connecting me with men and women of God who had heard

and received revelation and then began to instruct me through

scripture, where God then revealed to me, there's a whole

lot more than just being saved, a whole lot more.

And man, when you find out there's a whole lot more, how

can you go back? I said, how would you go back,

man? Not me.

No. I want to stay moving ahead.

And so I'm thankful for the truths God has revealed, but I'm

always open for more clarity. Hallelujah.

And as I've gone through that, you know, the truth that was

within that denomination, and it's true.

There's only one way to have a relationship with the Father is

through Jesus Christ, his Son. And it's because of his death,

burial, and resurrection. And you know, I never abandoned

that. That was truth.

But there was more. I said there was more, and there

was a whole lot more. Hallelujah.

How many you want all that God has for you now, Because I'm

going to tell you right now, the minute you break from this side

into the next side, you assume. You make an assumption of how

you're going to respond, as the old Christian song was.

I can only imagine most are imagining based upon fables, not

even truth. You may very well step over and

begin to realize all that I could have done and that was

given to me that I did not do when I was on the earth.

Hallelujah, Amen. I will say this, welcome to

Anchor Faith Church and here we will help you grow in the things

of God. Hallelujah.

So we are not afraid to deal with idols.

We are not afraid to deal with traditional thinking.

We are going to go line by line, precept upon precept.

And the crazy thing is I'm not actually a teacher.

Hallelujah. I function more as the as an

apostle then I do as a strict Bible teacher.

But man, we'll bring the scripture.

Amen. All right, Second Corinthians

2 Corinthians 4:16–18

chapter 4, verses 16 to 18. We need to be focused.

OK, what's your focus? 2nd Corinthians 416 to 18 says

is therefore we do not lose heart.

But though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is

being renewed day by day. For momentary light afflictions

is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all

comparison. For while we look not at the

things which are seen for the thing, but we are but at the

things which are not seen. For the things that are seen or

temporal or temporary, but the things that are not seen are

eternal. Now, many of you've asked me,

you know, as I've been walking through the hallways today,

asked me how was my vacation, You know, how was my trip?

And this was a different trip for me because #1 anytime I

typically do a vacation, I'm vacationing only with my wife,

right? Or, you know, my wife is a part

of that vacation. In our 34 years of marriage, I

was not the type of guy that liked to do guy trips.

I just didn't do guy trips. OK, Basically, you know, if I'm

going to go on vacation, I'm going to be with my wife or my

family, or she's going to be a part of that process.

Now, I've done many trips without my wife in the realm of

missions that has happened. And so I've been in multiple

countries preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and my wife has

not been able to attend. And those are exciting times for

the Lord, but also lonely times when I go to sleep because

pillows do not compare. I'm always wrestling with sheets

trying to find her. She wants a king size bed.

I keep her in a queen so she can't get away.

Honestly, it's a queen size bed because she's a queen.

You don't want it to be a king and be mine.

You want the bed to stay yours. Because if we get a king size,

then I'll be even closer because I'll block off the rest of my

side. We'll go to a twin in a king be

breathing on her neck all night. I love my wife.

All right, so this was my first trip.

You know, that was kind of like a vacation, but it wasn't alone.

My son was there and my son-in-law was there as well.

And then some other people from the church.

And it was just basically an adventure church.

It was not a vacation. Because when you go with people

who are photographers, you know, the best light is early in the

morning or when the sun goes down.

So, you know, we're out at 5:00 in the morning, no sun.

Oh, we got to get first light. Then you add that it's cold

because I'm from Florida. And so, you know, 53 is cold to

me. I am layered at 53.

I wore this shirt 'cause it was 68 this morning and actually had

on a sweater Marcy says is at that time.

I said, did it get below 70? Right.

I mean, that's where I'm at. And so anyway, but it was so

picturesque. We did 50 miles of trails.

We elevated up to I think 1500 feet on an mountain.

That was the highest peak at 6900.

We couldn't get to it, especially the way we went.

Plus we were not equipped to get to it because there's an

iceberg, you know, or glacier on the top.

So with that being said, you know, we had a really great

time, awesome views. But this verse 16 says,

therefore do not lose heart though your outward man is

decaying. And when we went up this 1500

foot elevation, which basically had a grade that, you know, you

were almost like you were walking standing up this grade

and you felt it. And you know, my glutes got so

tight. I mean, I got some of the

greatest glute workout ever climbing these mountains.

And so, you know, I'm getting to the top.

And then it dawned on me that I am twice the age of the youngest

person who went twice the age. All right.

But they did capture a picture of me that I was not fond of

because I'm like, when I see myself, right?

I still probably see myself 1520 years ago.

But this picture captured a different person, and I thought,

I'm going to have to do something about that.

I'm going to have to do something about that.

You know, I'm not as young as I used to be, but I'm still

driving on. Amen.

But this is what I do know. My inward man is stronger than

ever, which tells me when I'm going up I can focus in two

places. I can either focus on my outward

man and as I'm going up, say I am twice as old as one person on

this trip right now and I am not going to do this.

Or I could listen to my inside that says you got this man,

you're strong in the Lord. I understand you're not their

age, but don't worry about that. You keep pressing on.

Amen. And you know, every day I was

sore at the end, but every morning I was not Glory to God

because, you know, you kind of prepare yourself for this

particular events so that you can conquer.

But the reality is, the only way I would have not made it to that

summit that day is because I would have chosen in my mind

what I would focus on. If I wanted to focus on my body,

I could have given myself plenty of reasons to stay at a lower

elevation. I could have.

In fact, everyone on the team probably could have done that as

well. Decided, you know, not doing

another 3 miles into the woods hunting waterfalls we could have

definitely done that but you know something on the inside

said no it's like every time you turn the corners like what's on

the next corner. And that conquering mentality in

US kept us moving forward. The only time we ever abandoned

a waterfall to see it when it where it hits, you know, and

kind of be at the base of it is because there was a different

one we're chasing. And we were like, that's another

hour to get there. And that was technically not our

objective today. We just kept going around

another corner. We kept climbing another hill.

We kept going through another valley.

Are you hearing what I'm saying? And something on the inside was

our focus more so than what was on the outside.

And so you need to ask yourself today, what are you focused on?

Because we're supposed to look not at the scene, but the

unseen. The scene or the unseen.

Now here's the thing about the 18th verse.

Both are realities. For while we look not at the

things that are seen, seeing things are real.

Not looking at it doesn't mean the scene doesn't exist.

The scene is there and you see it the most, but we are to look

at the things that are not seen because the things that we do

see are actually temporary, meaning the state that we see is

not forever. Hallelujah.

I said it's not forever, but the things, if we focus on the word

of God and the things of God and what God is saying, well then

that's eternal and that will go on beyond the things we

currently see today. But both are available to see.

The question is, what are you focused on?

So this is a famous picture that I want to put up right now for

you to look at. And many of you probably seen it

before. Some of you may have never seen

it before, but when this pictures up, you know, what do

you see? All right, now, just to help,

who sees the young lady? Raise your hand.

All right, put your hand down. Who sees the old lady?

OK, who is seeing both? Who does not see the young lady?

OK, very good. All right.

Who does not see the old lady? Very good.

It took a long time for my wife to find the old lady.

And I said she's in there. No, Yeah, she's there.

She is not there. I said she's there.

All right. So I'm.

We'll help you out. OK.

A little bit. For those who are struggling a

little bit. How many?

You can not see the old lady. All right, So I'm going to go

over here because I can get closer to it.

So the young lady's necklace is actually the old lady's mouth.

And below. Oh, you see it now?

Yeah. How many still do not see the

old lady? We got you see it?

You see the old lady. You don't see the young lady.

OK, I'm going to get you the young lady.

All right? OK.

Anybody else not see the old lady?

It took my wife a little while. It's no problem.

The necklace of the young lady is her mouth.

So below it is the chin. If you work above it, the the

jawline of the young lady is the nose of the old lady.

Focus on the ear. Focus on the ear of the young

lady. It's actually an eyeball.

OK, there you go. See.

There it is. That's all right.

All right. Rafael, do you don't see the

young lady yet? OK, It's OK.

OK. So Rafael, the mouth of the old

woman is a necklace on the neck of a young lady.

So start looking up her neck and that's her jawline.

What you think is the nose is actually the side profile of

this young lady. So think of this young lady is

so that little bump out that you thinks another eye is actually a

nose of a young. OK, It's all right.

We're going to help you out. Do you see it?

OK. All right, Stand up.

Eloise, please stand up in front of your husband.

Just off. You OK?

I want you to look at the wall, please.

Eloise OK, look at No, look at there you go.

Look at the wall. Don't look at the picture.

Look at the wall. OK, See where what you think is

the hair of the old woman. It is the hair of the young lady

as well. But all the way on the left.

If you come down, what you think is an eye is actually a nose of

the young lady. Just like your wife right now is

her profiles the side of her face.

That's a nose, and it had come around to where that's her

jawline. So everything that you think is

a mouth of an old woman is actually the neck.

Yes. OK, You see it.

Very good. Now, at this point, since

everyone can see it, I want you to focus on the old woman.

Can everyone see the old woman? All right, now shift and focus

on the young lady. Can you see the young lady?

Notice both are still there. The question is, what will you

focus on? What will you focus on?

All right, I put this up because the Bible talks about an old man

and a new man. There's an old man and there's a

new man and you can preach the gospel focusing on an old man

are focused on new man. Many believers have a focus of

an old man, even though they've been made a new man, that every

time they look in the mirror, even though they're a new man,

they only see the old man. And the whole gospel that they

preach, minister, talk to people about is from this perspective

of the old man. And they know the old man.

The old man was not good. The old man was broke, beat

down, couldn't get to God, didn't do things great, was out

of sort, and everybody on the planet was an old man, meaning

they were lost, separated from God.

But God, being rich in his mercy while we were yet sinners, died

for us and then made us say. Now people who focus on the old

man only think they can achieve new man's status in his fullness

once they get to heaven because they're very focused on their

old man. You know, I'm just a sorry

Sinner saved by grace. I can't help but I mess up all

the time like everybody else, you know, You know what I'm

talking about. I feel, I feel these things all

the time. A beautiful woman walks by and I

can't help but lust after, you know, I'm just glad God saved

me. I'm just glad, God, you know,

that when I die, I'm still going to go to heaven.

You know, I can't help it, you know?

You know, sickness and disease, you know, we just all subject to

those things. It should, you know, I can't

help. It's my family, you know, we

always get into arguments and stuff.

You know, I just have a hot temper.

You know, it's just old man. But you know, God saved me and

you know what I'm talking about. And you can with each other

because we all have these types of challenges with the old man.

Yet did God want to save us and only reminisce about an old man?

Is that the goal? And, you know, a lot of times

messages and ministries from Saints all over the globe,

especially in the United States, is there such a huge emphasis on

our humanity, our human suit, the things that have connected

us to the old man, the the aspect of us that is not

redeemed, but one day we'll put on immortality.

There's a future event for the body.

And that body keeps you attached in this world that has, you

know, fallen and yet has things that they are living by the five

senses, things that are tangible.

And we can all relate to that. So, you know, they get around

and testify and talk about, you know, I was this and last week I

did this, you know, but I'm just thankful that God did this and

God did that and that whole conversation because they

identify with their humanity. But God, they just keep talking

about their humanity. But God, that's like you going

to a financial seminar because you are broke and you want to

get out. And the person that gets up on

the platform, you know, you've heard reports that they are

wealthy and that they've accumulated wealth and they come

out say 15 years ago, I only I had $5000 in my name and did

this, that the other and it fell apart and broke and I lost my

car, my house and this that the other.

And you're like, I can identify with you.

My life's like that, you know, And then they say, you know, you

know, I know how you feel right now.

Thank you for coming. And you're like, OK, I didn't

come here for you to identify with me so that I can still feel

like I feel just because, you know, I feel.

But that's not why I'm here. I'm here so that you can teach

me how to not be this way. That's like you going to a

substance abuse place and say, you know, I'm an alcoholic and I

can't help but drink and that's what I do.

And you know, I've been clean for so many days, but you know,

I this at the other and I failed the other week, but I'm back

here with you guys or, you know, drugs or whatever and someone

comes and they begin to share with you.

I was strong out here. I was this at the other.

But never tell you how you overcome.

Now it's easy. In fact, even in the church we

have picked up this concept that unless you've gone through what

I've gone through, you can't talk to me because you don't

know how I am. So you can't actually speak into

my life because you don't know. You can't relate to me.

Well then I Why are you in church?

Because Jesus never fornicated, never committed adultery, never

was drunk, never was on drugs, never stole, never did anything

wrong, ever. He cannot relate to you by

experience. Oh y'all don't want to hear

this? He can't relate to you by

experience. He cannot say.

Man, I know what it means to be strung out on drugs.

Bro, I was doing some crack before they knew it was crack up

in the mountains. Didn't do that.

I know what it means to be lusted after women, all them

women that came and started touching me and stuff and I was

healing people. Oh my gosh, he doesn't, he can't

relate to that. No, he kept it down.

He was tempted on all accounts, yet he never failed.

And you're going to tell me Jesus is your answer.

Yet a human who's never gone through your problems cannot

come to you and say, hey, let me tell you what the worst.

Well, brother, you don't know, man.

You've not gone through, you've not been into this stuff that as

a veteran, you can't talk to me. You never went to war.

You never saw the death and destruction on the field.

You don't don't know what it means to have somebody die in

your hands and all this stuff. And you're right, I do not have

that experience. But that doesn't mean I don't

have the answer to help you overcome your, your post

traumatic stress disorder. Thank you.

That doesn't mean I can't. Because if you're going to look

to Jesus, Jesus knows what it means to overcome.

So in the church, a lot of times we write things off again.

You don't want someone who's never been an alcoholic to talk

to you about getting out of alcoholism.

And this is all about focus yet. But there's another group that

focuses on the new man and they're like the old man is

dead, the old man is dead. Do not be resurrecting my old

man. You know that the number one,

one of the number one reasons why people cannot stay within a

church where the focus is on a new man is because they keep

want. They want to hear you talk about

your old man. Because when you talk about the

new man, it seems like you have no problems, right?

That's good because the new man knows how to overcome and the

emphasis is not on the problem, it's on the overcoming.

That's the focus. So what are you looking at?

What's your focus? Is it the old man or the new

man? And it's up to you to decide.

So with that being said, look at 2nd Corinthians 120 to 22.

It says for many, for as many as are the promises of God in him,

they are yes. Therefore also through him is

our Amen to the glory of God through us.

Now he who establishes, what does he do?

He establishes who? Who does he establish with you

in Christ? And what did he do?

What did he do? Anointed us in God.

So the anointing of God has you live old man living.

How can the anointing cause you to focus on an old man?

And there are so many congregations and Saints and

preachers that are so adamant to minister alone the feelings of

man that are attached to an old man instead of dealing with the

anointed man. Because yes, do we all feel?

Yes. Do we all have problems?

Yes. Are we all tempted?

Sure. That's not the point.

The point is, what can we do under the anointing?

That's what we should be desiring.

That's what we should be seeking.

So he said Now he who establishes us in with you in

Christ and anointed us is God verse 22, who also sealed us and

gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

The reason why this has occurred is because God is in the

business of restoration and because man has preached the

gospel from the old man perspective alone and stays with

the old man. They only go back to Genesis,

Genesis 3 because Genesis 3 is where the old man shows up.

Prior to Genesis 3, there was not an old man.

There was not an old man before Genesis 3.

An old man showed up in Genesis 3 when Adam ate the fruit that

God told him not to eat. This through that action of

disobedience, sin entered the earth man died his spirit man

was cut off from God and he became the old man and his

nature is like his father the devil now and his actions are in

complete rebellion to everything God wants to do and it is the

thing that brings guilt shame it saw it's the thing that brought

all of the horrible things that we see on our planet today is

rebellion against the word of God.

But in Genesis 126 was the original thought of man come on

and you know it. It says this.

Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our

likeness, and let them what? Let them what rule over the fish

of the sea, over the birds of the sky, over all the cattle,

over every, over all the earth, and over every creepy thing that

creeps on the earth. Who gets the rule?

It says God created man in his own image.

In the image of God. He created him, male and female.

He created them. So God's original design for man

was that he would look like God, rule like God, be anointed in

God, and function like God does in heaven.

We do it on earth. Hallelujah.

Amen. When when the Lord came down in

the cool of day, he wasn't like man.

You are miserable stuff. I can't even believe I'm down

here with you. No, he was with a like nature,

someone who functioned like him, who operated like him, both male

and female. And their only requirement is

that he doesn't eat from the tree of the knowledge of good

and evil. Because on the day he eats,

death comes. If he doesn't eat, death doesn't

come. So we would never be talking

about an old man if Adam had never eaten the fruit.

But he did and sin enter the world.

And so the reason why God has anointed us, the reason why

we're in this particular dispensation or we're up to this

time frame in the plan and purpose of God is that God is

like, I want the anointing back on man.

I do not want to associate man with his sin.

I want to associate man with his God like nature and again now I

am going to be accused as being as a preacher of a little God

theology. You bet I am because the Bible

is about a little God theology. We are sons of God.

Hallelujah. Now, I'm not God, He's God, but

I'm a child of God and I have the nature of God.

I have the DNA of God, I have the anointing of God.

And I didn't do it on my own accord.

He gave it to me. He put it on me.

He made it a part of my nature. He that was part of my original

desire. He did not design me as a human

to drag my knuckles on the ground and beg for things.

He created us to be able to walk into the courts of heaven, just

stand before the throne of God, to be champions with the king of

creation, of heaven and earth. And that's all we're supposed to

focus on. So why are so many people

focused on the old man? Brother, hold on.

You know, it's tough down here. You're like tough.

So oh, you better humble yourself, brother.

I am the most humble person you've ever met because I'm

actually doing what my father said.

I'm not in pride thinking I'm still like, I'm lost.

I actually believe God in His word.

I'm going to be who he said I am.

I'm not going to be who you say I am.

You're saying that I'm still an old man, but I'm just forgiven

of sin and I can't get out of all this and I can't overcome

this and I just need to be thankful that I'm getting up

there. But he says that I'm the

righteousness of God and Christ. He said I've been raised up and

seated with Him in heavenly places.

He said that there that I have His name and I can use His name

on the earth. That's what He says about me.

That's what the anointing does. That's who we are.

And the world needs the Saints of God, the true ones, to stand

up, to know they have been liberated, they have been set

free. They are no longer bound to the

old things in the world now we haven't.

Church today people, because this revelation is what when you

bring in someone that is stuck in the world, stuck in their

sin, stuck in their trespasses, stuck in the cycle of life, and

then you want to get over there by them and say, brother, I know

how you feel. Oh Lord, it's just so tough.

I mean, I was struggling this weekend.

But listen, you need Jesus and they do need Jesus, but they're

like, well, you're right. And I don't want to die in my

transgression and sin, but my gosh, I would hope that Jesus

could do more for me down here than just have to wait.

We get to say you want to get out of that.

You want to be changed. Praise God, glory to Jesus

Christ has come to set you free. And it is not liberation when

you go there. It's liberation now, right now.

I mean, Jesus Christ is a liar when he says our Father who art

in heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your

will be on as it is. And yet we act like we can't

have God's will on the earth. Jesus is not a liar because God

is not a man that he would lie nor the Son of man that he would

change. And I'm telling you right now

that we can bring God's will into the earth.

We can because we are children of God, anointed of God.

The dead has passed away in my life.

Behold, all things have become so.

When I'm looking at the picture, I only see young.

I only see the new man. I don't even know the old man

exists. Do not be trying to drag my old

man corpse back to my life, and don't let nobody else try to

bring it to yours. Are you hearing me?

The anointing's powerful. He goes on and says this.

How powerful is the anointing? Luke chapter 4 verses 18 to 19.

Luke 4:18–19

Jesus said the Spirit of the Lord is upon me.

See, Jesus is without sin. Jesus did not come to the earth

solely as God. He came as a man, but he

functioned as a man anointed of God.

Jesus did not come to show you what God can do.

Jesus came to show you what you can do anointed Jesus has to

come as a man because God gave dominion to man and God does not

go against his own word. So when he said let us make man

in our image according to our lives, to let them have dominion

over the earth. And when Adam abdicated the

throne, he gave his dominion over to the devil, of which the

devil acknowledges his receiving, not stealing, but

receiving this dominion. In Luke chapter 4, at the

Luke 4 · chapter mention

temptation of Christ, he said, I'll give you all this domain,

this power, this authority, these kingdoms on the earth.

If Jesus, you'll just bow down and worship me, because this

dominion has been handed over to me.

Who handed it to him? Adam, the first son of God.

He's not God in the flesh, but he is God's son.

And he died. His spirit man was separated

from God. Sin entered the earth.

The devil took the power, but Jesus Christ came as a man.

Legally into the earth through the room of a woman.

And now God is in the earth as a man, and he strips the devil of

his authority and power and takes back that dominion that

once was on the anointed man, Adam.

So that we who call on the name of the Lord can receive that

same anointing and function in the earth once again.

Now, unlike Adam, Adam was in a suit that would not die.

We have one that will and one day we'll receive a glorified

body. But in our spirit and in our

soul we can renew our spirit. Man has been made new because of

the blood of Jesus, the finished work of Christ.

Our mind gets renewed because we take the personal responsibility

to yield to the Holy Ghost that we can hear now.

And we do what God says that we can do.

We we get rid of our traditions. We renew our minds to the Word

of God. We no longer think like the old

man anymore. We change it and then our body

can stay strong enough every day to complete the assignment while

we remain in the earth and sickness and disease has no

right to take us out. Hallelujah, Jesus said The

Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me, He's

anointed. He goes on to say in Acts

Acts 10:38

chapter 10 verse 38, it says you know Jesus of Nazareth how God

anointed him with the Holy Spirit with power and how he

went about doing good, healing all who are pressed of the

devil, for God was with him. Man, when you have the anointing

on you, when you will focus on the anointed man and not the old

man, Come on, that's it. You need to be a part of a body,

a church body that focuses on the anointed man, not the old

man. Now, when we talk about the old

man, we'll talk about the old man in past tense, not in an

everyday occurrence. And we'll communicate to those

who are living still in the old man because they're not born

again. They're separated from God.

That you know what? Liberation.

Today's your day of liberation. Today's the day for that old man

to be separated, in essence die from you.

Hallelujah. But we want to focus on the

anointed man. Praise the Lord, thank you

Jesus. How do you know that you are a

anointed person and your focus is on the anointing?

Well, let's look at First Corinthians chapter 3 verses one

1 Corinthians 3 · chapter mention

through 3. Paul, who obviously focused on

the anointing, not the old man, but the anointed man.

He's speaking to a church he planted A Corinthian church and

these, these, this church here was well versed in old man

activity. I mean, before they were born

again, they were given to everything of the flesh, any

type of sensuality, self gratification, they were in it

and as an act of actual worship to to fake gods.

OK. And so he has liberated them

through the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus, preaching

the gospel of the Kingdom to them.

And now he's speaking to them as he has hearing some things he

says. Now brethren, I could not speak

to you as spiritual men, meaning as men anointed, but as men of

the flesh as infants in Christ. Verse 2, he said I gave you milk

to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet able to receive

it. Indeed, even now you're not

able. And why are they not able?

Here it is, for you are still fleshly.

We could say it this way. You're still conscious about

your humanity. That's good, that's good.

Come on, your decision making is based upon a human response, not

an anointed response, he says. Since you are still for since

you are still, there is still jealousy and strife among you.

Are you? Are you not fleshly?

And are you not walking like here?

It is mere men. I'm gonna give you a couple

other translations, then I'm gonna explain this particular

verse. The the amplified classic.

Verse 3 says it this way. For you are still unspiritual,

having the nature of the flesh under the control of ordinary

impulses. For as long as there are envying

and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not

unspiritual and of the flesh behaving yourself after a human

standard and like mere unchanged men?

I'm just a sorry Sinner saved by grace.

That is mere man speaking. That means you're still attached

to your humanity. I was a Sinner.

I have been saved by grace through faith.

But now I'm a believer, anointed of God, Hallelujah.

And I have authority and dominion over the law of sin and

death. I have dominion over it.

Another translation says it this way.

For you are still carnal. For since envy and contention

and divisions are among you, are you not carnal?

Are you not walking according to Human ways?

That's going to blow your mind a little bit.

I think it will because again, when you hear these words, envy,

strife, jealousy, everybody in the room right now, that's not

me. Really.

OK Have you ever went up to someone and say, now, I followed

the teachings of Kenneth Copeland.

Oh, yeah. But, well, you know, I

personally like, you know, give me another name.

Perry Stone I prefer the the the teachings of Stephen Furtick.

Now that doesn't sound like jealousy, does it?

But that's what was going on in this church.

Because if you keep reading, he says, some of you say I'm of

Apollos and I'm of Paul. So this human standard was

exposed. Oh, y'all don't want to hear

this? Which?

Which person are you listening to?

Hallelujah. So attached.

You understand, This is why some people gravitate to certain

ministers. Why?

Because there's things that they can still be attached to.

OK, We don't. All right, It's fine.

Anyway. It doesn't matter, there are

plenty of places you can go and stay carnal.

It can happen, absolutely. And yes, Jesus saved you.

Yes, it's the finished work of Jesus.

However, you'll always live an old man in a new covenant as

long as you always consider your humanity.

But the minute you're like, I'm not human anymore alone.

I mean, human is only because it's it was my entrance in the

planet. I am a spirit and this spirit,

this person is anointed. I want to focus on the

anointing. I mean, we say we want to focus

on Jesus, but we don't want to focus on what Jesus gave us.

We, we are thankful for what he has delivered us and has he

delivered you? But if you're delivered, why are

you acting like you're still in it?

And why do you act like you're still subject to it?

And why do we give so much focus on it?

And have you noticed, have you been around believers that like

to hang out with other believers who are in touch with themselves

more? They're in touch with.

And then they'll talk about those that'll keep referencing

the anointing, but they just think they're better than us.

No, they're just saying you should live to the anointed

life. And living a human life is not

good enough. And it's never where God wanted.

God did not take you out of the realm of darkness so that you

can still live around it and in it, but not have the

consequences of it. No, He sets you up.

He pulled you out. He threw you on a throne.

He crowned you with life. He clothed you with

righteousness. He anointed you.

He made your royalty. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

I mean, we've become so politically correct in the

church because when I like, we're not different.

I'm not like the world. And I didn't say that, God did.

He said you are not up. Now if it was better to be

broke, disgusted, led by my lusts, then I would have stayed

there. But it's not.

It is better to not be subject to that.

So am I living a better life? You bet I am.

I am so living a better life. It is so amazing not to be bowed

with the lusts of the world, the pride of life, the impulses of

the flesh, to be able to get into a conflict, to be able to

say I would not hit you. I would let you hit me here and

I would turn the other cheek. I'm not going to bow up at you

and be a bully. I have a different nature and

you don't even know who you are. And they'll hit you and walk

away and and tout not like, but the true champion just but God,

but God, I said, but God, Hey, man, I mean, a lot of times in

conflict, there's a lot of issues that we deal with.

Look, I deal with that stuff all the time.

I think I'm redeemed. I mean, people beep the horn at

me and I'm like, don't beep your horn at me.

Please don't beep your horn at me.

That man's dead. Be patient, bro.

Here, let me throw you a patient fruit out right now.

Throw you one out, right? Hallelujah.

Had one guy, you know, gave me his hand up and I just gave him

another praise like that. Yeah.

I mean, I have been a little ruined when it comes to driving.

Just let you know, I've been in other countries and I have

realized that our two lane roads are actually 5.

There's definitely a lot more room.

We've given ourselves a lot of space.

So if someone moves over a little bit, I have no problem

leaning. And I do unfortunately trust

that you're smart enough to realize there's other lanes here

and we're not going to die and you're going to be OK.

The people who stay behind the garbage truck that's over and

there's like only a half a lane, but you will not go until

there's nobody coming. You understand that crowd can

get over into the bike lane too, and you can just creep right in

between. I know I've been in India,

people, I understand this is my logic.

I'm like we, we, we do not have to wait here.

We can go on around and we can move.

But that doesn't mean the person that you're, you know, you took

half and they still have a whole lot of Rd. won't even go off the

side, will not be excited with you because you took half their

length. And I had AFPL, you know, he was

going to turn in, but then he decided he would come back.

So I just kind of did a little thing and a guy beeped his horn

and was like, and I was like, I mean, there's plenty over here

now when I'm doing this. I didn't my all five hands were

out fingers. OK.

So please do not misread that. And he had all hands too, you

know, all fingers were available.

He was just like, what are you doing?

I'm like just getting around him.

You know, you've heard my one story when I was at Bible

college how I pulled out in front of somebody by accident.

You know, I'm looking looking, you know, because we're in a

little 4 lane Rd. you're looking.

And I went this way and, you know, went this way and went

back this way and then I went. Well this one guy, I don't know

where he came from. He must came, must have been not

on the road but came out. Next thing you know he's on me

and but he is upset and he's pointing at me.

He's telling me I'm #1 I just didn't use this finger.

You're number one. You're number one.

I'm like, yeah. So at this point, you know, I'm

like, I felt bad, you know, because I, I looked.

So I did something extremely uncharacteristic.

I pulled over into a store and he came to and I got out first

and I went around to his truck with his window down with my

hand going straight inside his window like this.

Hey, man, I'm sorry. And he was leaning back,

expecting me to close my hand, give him a fish pump a different

way, right? But it caught him off guard.

And I mean, he was saying some really flowery words while I

always tell me I was #1 I'll show you how I said, look, I'm

sorry. Now, why can I do this?

Because I'm a new man. I focus on an anointing.

I said, look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that.

I look both ways. I said you came out of nowhere.

I'm please forgive me. He goes, OK, It's all right,

man, God bless you. I like to tell you got saved

right then. But you know, I did not leave

him in prayer, but he did acknowledge God pretty quick.

Hallelujah. But there's something about the

anointing we need to not live a human life.

Listen, Moses knew this in an old covenant.

Look what Moses said in Numbers 1129, because he's doing this

work with the Lord. God has put an anointing on his

life and there's so many people complaining, whining, stubborn,

stiff necked, No matter what God does, they're never satisfied,

always complaining. And then he's like, Lord, you

got to do something, man. Listen, I mean, this way, it's

way too much. He said I'm going to give the

anointing on your life to 70 others.

So he does it. Well, a couple of them that

received this anointing aren't actually in the actual meeting.

They receive it where they're at in their tent.

And Joshua, which was Moses, his right hand man noticed this and

was concerned about it because now these guys are acting like

Moses. They began to prophecy when the

anointing hit them. Look what Moses says, but Moses

said are you jealous for my sake?

He said would that all the Lord's people were prophets.

Now not that he wants all of us to be the fivefold ministry

prophet to have the prophet skip what he's saying here is all

would have the anointing upon their lives that God would put

his spirit look upon them. Moses were like, man, if

everybody could just have the anointing, what did he conclude?

If you had the anointing, you wouldn't be.

So you wouldn't complain as much as you do.

You wouldn't whine as much as you do.

You'd be more committed to the plan and purpose of God.

You wouldn't be trying to find a way out.

Try to go back to where you came from.

Listen, a person who focuses on the anointing is not trying to

go back to Egypt. I mean, we preach so much human

and feelings and so to the point that we're really like, how

close can we get to the old man but still make it to heaven?

How close can we live that old life but not go to hell because

of it? And that's that focus.

And he's saying, listen, if they could just have the anointing,

if they would just walk under the anointing, if they would

just focus on the anointing, well, then, you know, they would

be like, Caleb, we're well able to conquer this man.

We go in there. I don't care if there's a John

in there. They already lost.

I mean, God's already said it's ours.

I mean, what they gonna do to us?

See, that's what an anointed person sounds like.

But a person who is still living by the old man.

Well, rather be careful now because again, you're that kind

of when an anointed person talks to a person still focused on the

humanity of a human, the you know, they're they're stayed in

the earth. They're convicted.

Now, though, you're condemning me.

No, you're being convicted because you're not raising up to

the level that God has already paid the price for you to live.

That's all there is. Ephesians chapter 4 verse 22 to

Ephesians 4:22–24

24 says this, that in reverence to the former manner of life,

you're to lay aside the old self which is being corrupted in

accordance with the lust of deceit, and that you be renewed

in the spirit of your mind and put on the new self.

Come on, say new self which is in the likeness of God and has

been created in righteousness, holiness and truth.

Ain't that amazing? So here He tells us that we are

to put off or lay aside the old self.

Even though you may be born again, you have to lay it aside.

You can no longer hang out or desire to go back.

You can't be wanting the the food of Egypt and get into the

promised land and how do you do it is through the spirit of your

mind. You have to make a conscious

choice. I am going to focus on the new

man and not focus on the old cause.

The the only reason why someone who has been free.

to feed the anointing in his life so that when he when he

said I'm done, walked into his own shed and was looking for

something to do a project founds an old stash instead of it's

just one. Well, it's been 10 years.

Let me let's celebrate, right? I mean, he would let no voice to

that because he focused on the anointing.

And here's the thing, he's a man anointed of God, which means the

power for him to overcome was not his own power.

It's the power God gave him, and he just yielded to it every day.

And every day is another day free.

So you'll never hear David walk around and say, hi, my name is

David Mackey and I'm an alcoholic.

He would never say that because he's not an alcoholic.

That man's dead. Come on, say Amen.

Now. This is miracle working power

right in the midst of us. This is day in and day out.

You want to really be free, then you have to focus on the

anointing in your life. I mean, close with this verse.

I won't even do anymore. I'll just stop with this.

Galatians 220 it says this. I have been crucified with

Christ. How do you know you're not

sitting under or you are entertaining because you don't

want to get around? Believers who want to talk about

feelings. Now I'm not.

Again, while we look not at the things that are seen, but the

things that are not seen. Do I have feelings?

Yes. Do I get hurt?

Yes. Do I get angry?

Yes, I do. But when those things come, I do

not focus on those feelings through an old man.

I say you're going to focus on the anointing.

So you're not going to be angry here.

What you're going to do is you're going to rejoice.

Now what you're going to do is you are going to do it his way.

You're going to get your feelings in line with the word

and you're going to feel, but you're going to feel victory.

You're going to feel overcoming. You're going to feel peace.

You're going to feel that even though my human side, well, you

don't feel I feel everything you feel.

I just choose not to focus on the old.

I choose to focus on the anointing.

When I do that, then guess what? The anointing starts working and

now I'm not. You know, have you ever heard

believer say this? Well, I just want you to be

real. What they want you to do is

really communicate how you think about carnal things because they

think about carnal things. Well, you have carnal thoughts.

You just have to learn how to crucify them.

Every one of us have thoughts that we are to take captive.

I mean, why is it that we enjoy services where people talk about

the issues of life and then do last minute disclaimers, but God

loves me, you know, anyway. And we're like, oh, get so

excited. And they're only excited because

finally I'm in a place that someone feels like I feel about

this instead of you are a champion.

I don't feel like a champion. We're gonna teach you how to

teach you how to focus on the anointing.

We're gonna teach you how to focus on.

Well, you know what? I don't think these people ever

have a problem. They're always excited.

Happy, running around, full of joy, seem excited.

I can't relate to these people. They don't have any issues.

Are you kidding me? We probably have double the

issues you we had. You have because the enemy wants

us to fail in front of you. But we refuse to fail in front

of you. We just choose to take captive

the thought. Stay in the anointing and

overcome because actually living your carnal life would be a lot

easier in one sense because it takes no effort.

Ah, but the anointing. I've been crucified with Christ.

Put this verse up, we'll close. I've been crucified with Christ.

How do you know you're not dealing with your human anymore?

It's no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Most of our worships about what God's done for us and our stuff,

and we're not even talking about him, how we feel.

I was broken. I was this, I was that.

But you, what are they focused on?

They're human, they're old man, and I'm not saying that you

shouldn't be appreciative of what you came out of, but we

need to be focused on. But in Christ, I'm more than a

conqueror. I'm this, I'm that.

This is who God's made me. This is who I am.

Now, if we're not leaving services, if we're not leaving

places where we are like man, we can do this.

We can conquer, we can overcome. And it's because of the

anointing on my life. What can we not do?

Then You know what, you're just holding on to go somewhere and

God never expected you to to live that kind of life down

here. He wanted you to overcome.

It's no longer I who live, but Christ lives to me in the life

that I live now in the flesh, in this body, in this human suit.

I live how? By faith.

What is faith calling those things that be not as though

they were. My focus is on the unseen.

What did God say about for me to do in this situation?

I'm only going to do that. That's my focus because that's

the anointing. If I stay on that, then I win.
