  1. So today I want to talk to you about Kingdom mindset.

  2. Locked in. Everybody say locked in, say it

  3. again. Locked in.

  4. Say it one more time, locked in. That means you're all in.

  5. You're committed. I'm 110% fully committed to the

  6. cause of Christ, fully dedicated to the will and purpose of God,

  7. fully surrendered and submitted to whatever He wants to do,

  8. whatever He wants to say, whatever He wants to display, I

  9. am locked in Hallelujah. And God, he wants to show

  10. himself strong on the behalf of those that are locked in.

  11. So this is a question, are you locked into God 'cause he's

  12. locked into you, He's watching, His eyes are searching

  13. throughout the whole earth and he's looking for somebody who's

  14. locked in Hallelujah. That's your choice, that's your

  15. choice. I said it's up to you to say

  16. God, I'm all in. And I heard this by the Spirit.

  17. He's looking daily, His eyes are looking daily, 'cause he cares

  18. about what's going on the earth, He cares about humanity and he's

  19. looking for a man or woman of God to show himself strong

  20. through, to display his goodness, to display his

  21. miracles, to display his love, to reach a loss in a dying

  22. world, to connect them with truth.

  23. Truth is not a thing. Truth is a person and his name

  24. is Jesus. And in Jesus we have freedom.

  25. Like the song said, our chains are are broken, right?

  26. We've been set free. Amazing Grace.

  27. Thank God for the blood that still speaks today.

  28. The blood of Jesus is on the mercy seat, and He ever lives to

  29. make intercession for His people.

  30. So the question is, are you going to respond?

  31. Today I had these four Rs. As we jump in to today's

  32. message, I'll give these to you #1 is relationship #2 is

  33. responsibility #3 is renewal, and #4 is rain.

  34. I'll say it again. Number one is relationship.

  35. Number 2 is responsibility #3 is renewal #4 is reign.

  36. As you know, if you're part of Anchor Faith Church that the

  37. Holy Spirit gave to Apostle Earl Marcy the year of the reigning

  38. church. But if we're going to reign, we

  39. need to know first of all, relationship with Jesus Christ.

  40. There is no greater aim, no greater focus, no greater thing

  41. you could be locked in on than the relationship that He wants

  42. to have with you and that you want to have with Him.

  43. This is why we advocate Bible reading at Anchor Faith Church,

  44. because this book is a love letter written from God to His

  45. people. It contains His will, His

  46. thought, His purposes, His plans.

  47. And He wants you to be in this thing daily.

  48. How do you get to know somebody? By spending time with them.

  49. And we're never going to reign as a church if we don't know who

  50. He is. We're never going to reign as a

  51. church if we don't know who he is.

  52. So it's our responsibility to make sure that we're in the Word

  53. of God. It's our responsibility to be

  54. people of prayer. Thank God for corporate prayer

  55. that took place at 9:15 today. We have corporate prayer on

  56. Wednesdays at 6:00 AM. But daily God is looking, so

  57. it's our responsibility to make sure that we're communicating

  58. with him as we leave this service.

  59. The Bible says to pray without ceasing.

  60. You know, when I was pursuing my wife, I was no, I already prayed

  61. in faith. Matter of fact, I wrote down 10

  62. things I wanted a wife 'cause I heard one sermon that said, you

  63. know, if if you ask God for transportation, he may send you

  64. a Chevrolet that's shove 1 foot and lay the other one because

  65. God's a God of specific. So I got specific.

  66. I put down, you know, certain hype and all this stuff.

  67. Amen started with God, Christ like characteristics, but I got

  68. specific. I just didn't say God send me a

  69. wife. I wanted a godly woman.

  70. I didn't want a Jezebel. I didn't want a project.

  71. I wanted a spirit anointed wife, so I prayed Hallelujah.

  72. And the Bible says to pray without cease.

  73. And so in the relationship, it's our responsibility.

  74. And that goes both ways. You know, God desires and craves

  75. for you to spend time with him and we need to reciprocate that.

  76. That's our responsibility. Relationships are not one way

  77. and when they're when you you know the proof of desire is in

  78. pursuit. If you really say you desire

  79. something, there's a pursuit in it.

  80. I question your desire if you're not really pursuing it.

  81. You may say you want to lose weight.

  82. All right, I won't meddle too much with that, but the proof of

  83. desire is in pursuit. You may say you want to know

  84. God, but if I checked your Bible reading, it's it's not

  85. condemning you. This is trying to say, listen,

  86. if you really want to know the Father, spend time with them.

  87. That'll show that you're really desiring him.

  88. Hallelujah. So we have a responsibility.

  89. And in that responsibility, there's a thing called renewal.

  90. And that's really the my, my big idea today is mind renewal, a

  91. Kingdom mindset locked in, locked in.

  92. And if we get these three things, then the church is going

  93. to reign. And what what does rain mean?

  94. Rain means to exercise the highest influence.

  95. It means to flow into or on. So the world doesn't get on me.

  96. When I walk into environment or sphere of influence, I bring

  97. Christ with me and I impact and influence that environment.

  98. That environment does not impact and influence me.

  99. We were at Universal on Friday and I where you walk into an

  100. ungodly environment with their beliefs and philosophies and in

  101. that I saw two young males holding hands with their mom in

  102. line and that doesn't get on me. I influenced that.

  103. So like the Holy Spirit was hovering in Genesis chapter one.

  104. I was hovering. Lord, do you need me to say

  105. anything? Do you mean it?

  106. Do you mean to communicate anything in that?

  107. Now you didn't release me, but I was asking why?

  108. Because we're called to reign. We're called to reign.

  109. We're called to reign. So in the story of our history,

  110. when I say history, you know, there's the Old Covenant, the

  111. Old Testament, and we have the New Covenant or the New

  112. Testament, but it's one book authored by the Holy Ghost.

  113. And we do live in a new dispensation faced on better

  114. promises and a better covenant in Christ.

  115. But I want to launch out today just going kind of over the

  116. history of our heritage. Can I say it that way?

  117. The history of our heritage, Right.

  118. So in the first five books, which is called the Pentateuch,

  119. we have Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and

  120. Deuteronomy. Those are the first five books

  121. of the Bible authored by Moses, right?

  122. And in Genesis you have the birth of a nation.

  123. In Exodus you have the deliverance of a nation.

  124. In Leviticus you have the sanctification of a nation.

  125. In in Numbers you have the journeys of a nation.

  126. And in Deuteronomy you have the instructions of a nation.

  127. But in Genesis, the Bible really covers 4 men.

  128. There's about 2000 years of history from Genesis 1 to

  129. Genesis 11, but then it slows down.

  130. Genesis 12 to Genesis 50 covers the lives of four men, which is

  131. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and really Joseph.

  132. And in Abraham we see the birth, birth of a nation.

  133. In Isaac we see the son of submission.

  134. In Jacob we see the son of suffering and glory.

  135. Right. And in I'm, I'm sorry, in Jacob

  136. we see the, the son of transformation, cause Jacob was

  137. transformed from Jacob to Israel.

  138. And Joseph we see the son of suffering and glory.

  139. And then we have Exodus where we have Moses.

  140. He was raised up by God to be the deliverer of the nation.

  141. Even though these are God's covenant people, they found

  142. themselves in Egypt, ruled and dominated by Pharaoh, right?

  143. And Egypt is a type of the world and Pharaoh's a type of the

  144. devil. And in Egypt there's not enough.

  145. It's a life of slavery, a life of bondage, a life of

  146. suppression and oppression. Listen, as believers, we need to

  147. separate from sin. Sin always promises to serve and

  148. please, but it only enslaves and dominates.

  149. There's two things that snakes do their mode of operation.

  150. There's a constrictor or a Viper.

  151. And a constrictor will squeeze the life out of you, but a Viper

  152. will bite you to penetrate and release his poison into your

  153. blood. And what happened is Egypt got

  154. around, you know, the children of Israel in Egypt, and they

  155. kind of got suffocated out and poisoned with the culture of

  156. that day. But then God said, I'm going to

  157. bring you out. I'm raising up a deliverer to

  158. bring you out of Egypt, and I'm going to bring you into the

  159. promised land, and that is God's will for your life today.

  160. Even though this was the history and heritage in the Old

  161. covenant, there is still a plan and purpose of God today that He

  162. brings His people out of sin, out of bondage, out of

  163. oppression, and He wants to bring you into Canaan land.

  164. Let's read it in Deuteronomy and see what God says.

  165. Deuteronomy chapter 6, verses 20 through 23.

    Deuteronomy 6:20–23

  166. This is the book of instruction. So listen to the instruction and

  167. the responsibility of parents really to their kids too.

  168. It says when your son's ask you in the time to come saying what

  169. is the meaning of these testimonies, these statues and

  170. judgments which the Lord our God has commanded you?

  171. Then you shall say to your son, we were past tense slaves of

  172. Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a

  173. mighty hand. The Lord showed us signs and

  174. wonders before our eyes, great and severe against Egypt,

  175. Pharaoh and all of his household.

  176. Then he brought us out from there that he might bring us in.

  177. He brought us out to bring us in.

  178. God never brings you out to leave you.

  179. He brings you out to bring you in to give us the land which he

  180. swore to our fathers. You can track this land.

  181. In Genesis 12, when God promised, he swore.

  182. He made an oath to Abraham that I'm going to give your

  183. descendants the promised land. Moses references in Deuteronomy

  184. said God is bringing us out of Egypt to bring us into Canaan

  185. land. That is God's will still today.

  186. God always looks at the finished product.

  187. God is more concerned with where we're going than where we've

  188. come from. If we fail to realize that God

  189. is bringing us out to deliver us into a land that is better and

  190. brighter than like the first generation of freed Israelites,

  191. we can perish in the wilderness of unbelief.

  192. We can miss our promised land by missing the pattern and

  193. principles of God to deliver us from salvation, God had to

  194. deliver us from sin. As God brings us from one level

  195. of living into another, the difficult and even traumatic

  196. transitions produce stress. You know, God wants to bring you

  197. up to another level of living, but it's usually by way of

  198. crisis and that can reduce stress.

  199. But the children of Israel fed to realize what God was doing,

  200. and we don't need to be like them.

  201. We need to learn. As a parent, what do you do?

  202. You try to train. You try to train your kids.

  203. I want you to learn not to make the same mistakes that I did.

  204. Really, the heart of a parent is to pass that baton off at an

  205. earlier age so they could live out the plan and purpose of God,

  206. 'cause I know BC wow, thank God that I'm redeemed.

  207. Thank God that's under the blood.

  208. I I was sitting there worshiping.

  209. I thought thank God I traded the porcelain throne for a pure

  210. throne. Y'all know what I'm saying?

  211. You speak English. There was there's nothing to

  212. brag on 'cause my tolerance got up to 1213 cans of alcohol.

  213. That's stupidity. And that does put you at the

  214. wrong throne after a while. OK, I'm trying to clarify that

  215. for you. So that's crisis.

  216. They misunderstood God's purpose for leading them out of Egypt.

  217. God wanted to take his people to Canaan land, the land he had

  218. promised to Abraham and his descendants, but all they could

  219. see was the wilderness through which they had to pass.

  220. So you realize that it was from the time God brought them out of

  221. Egypt. It was a 11 day journey.

  222. Everybody say 11 days, say 11 days, say I'm locked in.

  223. You know how long it took them from the time that he delivered

  224. them out to bring them in? 40 years.

  225. Do the math real quick. Who's got 40 years to waste for

  226. the plan, purpose and assignment of God?

  227. Not me and I. I pray that you don't.

  228. So you got to stay locked in. We must look beyond the stress

  229. of the temporary to the glory of the permanent.

  230. From temporary to eternal. Second Corinthians chapter 4,

    2 Corinthians 4:16–18

  231. verses 16 through 18. I'm going to read this from two

  232. different translations. It said I'm gonna read from the

  233. New King James Version first Second Corinthians chapter 4,

    2 Corinthians 4:16–18

  234. verses 16 through 18. Therefore we do not lose heart.

  235. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is

  236. being renewed day by day for our light affliction, which is but

  237. for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal

  238. weight of glory, which we do while we do not look at the

  239. things which are seen, but the things which are not seen.

  240. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things

  241. which are not seen are eternal. You have to stay locked in.

  242. You need to take the responsibility to stay locked

  243. in. The message Bible says it this

  244. way. So we're not giving up.

  245. How could we? Even though on the outside it

  246. often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the

  247. inside where God is making new life, not a day goes by without

  248. His unfolding grace. These hard times are small

  249. potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish

  250. celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets

  251. the eye. The things we now see are here

  252. today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see will

  253. now soon last forever. The children of Israel didn't

  254. stay locked in, they got delivered out of.

  255. You know, it's the power of God that brings you out of Egypt,

  256. but it's the strength of God that brings you through the

  257. wilderness. The power are the miracles and

  258. demonstrations of God. Thank God for power

  259. manifestations, but you just can't live off His power.

  260. You need His strength. I'll say it again, the power of

  261. God can and will deliver you. It can heal you, but it's the

  262. strength of God that gets you through a lifetime with Him.

  263. I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.

  264. So Paul picks this story up in First Corinthians chapter 10 and

    1 Corinthians 10 chapter mention

  265. he really reviews what I just kind of prefaced it with.

  266. So let's read what he says. We're going to read 13 verses.

  267. I must try to do a whole chapter to help you with your Bible

  268. reading. I'm going to read this from the

  269. New King James Version. So listen what the the Apostle

  270. Paul through the Holy Ghost says to the Corinthian church, and

  271. he's referring back to this. There's 3 levels of living,

  272. living, living. You're either going to live in

  273. Egypt, the wilderness, or Canaan land.

  274. The choice is yours. God could deliver you and you

  275. could still be in bondage. God could deliver and you still

  276. could choose to live oppressed. Now some of you have have

  277. experienced another level of living, which means I've come

  278. out of some of the stuff, but I still I'm still in the

  279. wilderness that's a land of just enough.

  280. I have barely enough to get by. I've experienced some small

  281. victories, but then God's desire is to actually to bring all of

  282. his people in the Canaan land, which is the land of more than

  283. enough. It's a land of victory.

  284. It's a land of overcoming. It's a land of conquest and

  285. conquering. You want the right.

  286. I read a book years ago called The Right of a Lifetime by Bob

  287. Iger, but I thought, man, this isn't This is a Kingdom title,

  288. not a secular title. The right of a lifetime is your

  289. life in Christ, not as ACEO as Disney, because we're writing

  290. our story right now with him. And this is the right of a

  291. lifetime if you choose to do it his way and, you know, have that

  292. strong relationship with him. So the apostle Paul says this

  293. more of a brother. And I do not want you to be

  294. unaware that our fathers were under the cloud.

  295. All passed through the sea. All were baptized into Moses in

  296. the cloud and into the sea, and ate the same spiritual food, and

  297. all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank of that

  298. spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

  299. But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their

  300. bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

  301. Now these things became our examples to the intent that we

  302. should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

  303. And do not become idolatrous, as were some of them, as it is

  304. written, the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to

  305. play. Nor let us commit sexual

  306. immorality, as some of them did, and in one day 23,000 fell.

  307. Nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were

  308. destroyed by the serpents. Nor complain, murmur, as some of

  309. them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

  310. Now all these things happen to them as examples, and they were

  311. written down for our admonition upon whom the ends of the ages

  312. have come. Therefore let him who thinks he

  313. stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation is overtaking you,

  314. except such as is common to man. But God is faithful.

  315. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you're able.

  316. But with the temptation, we'll also make the way of escape that

  317. you may be able to bear it. Hallelujah, God is faithful.

  318. What the exhortation that Pastor Chase got up and said God was

  319. faithful. God is faithful and He will be

  320. faithful. He will not allow you to be

  321. tempted beyond what you're able to withstand.

  322. And with the temptation you'll make a way of escape.

  323. I'll give you one example. Instead of complaint and praise,

  324. that's a way of escape. Oh my, my family was like this

  325. and I'll never get no, you're in a new DNA now.

  326. You've been born again, blood bought, blood washed.

  327. You're a you're a child of God. I got the, the, the veins or

  328. the, the the heritage or the DNA of the king on the inside of me.

  329. There's no generational curse on me.

  330. There's a generational blessing. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac,

  331. and Jacob. He's the God of more than

  332. enough. What are you saying?

  333. What are you saying? What are you saying?

  334. Even in difficult, hard, frustrating, challenging

  335. circumstances, you don't have to deny reality.

  336. It could be super difficult, but in the midst, in the middle,

  337. man, I'm going to say this. God is faithful.

  338. I don't know everything that's happening or why it's happening,

  339. God, but my trust is in you and I'm not going to get stuck in

  340. this temporary situation because I know there's an eternal weight

  341. of glory. You know, sometimes when I'm

  342. lifting weights and there's drop sets or super sets, we have a

  343. saying in the gym, there's no pain, no gain, and really your

  344. muscle doesn't grow until we get to what we call muscle failure

  345. beyond muscle failure, when it really starts to grow.

  346. So sometimes we're looking at the pain of the situation and

  347. God say my grace is sufficient. This is just a spiritual gem.

  348. If you only knew what I'm taking you to and how strong you need

  349. to be in the next season. We don't look at the things that

  350. are seen, but the things that are unseen.

  351. Oh, if we would just trust him, just trust him.

  352. Praise him in the middle, praise him in the middle, James once

  353. says count it all, Joyce. Sometimes you just got to say ha

  354. ha ha. Whoo.

  355. May I have another one please? Is that all you got?

  356. Bring it on. That's the king of mindset

  357. that's locked in because is God always working for our highest

  358. benefit. The only time I have to question

  359. if I'm going to make out if I'm allowing it could be doubt or

  360. I'm caught up in any kind of sense.

  361. Sin is doubt, sin could be substance abuse.

  362. Sin could be negative confession, sin could be

  363. idolatry, but man, if I that's kryptonite to Superman.

  364. You realize that God's got a supernatural life for you.

  365. I don't know if that's just a guy thing or any women.

  366. Watch Superman. At least you know the concept.

  367. Sin is like it will SAP your strength.

  368. God could bring you out with power.

  369. He's the Redeemer. You know in this story, this is

  370. the redemptive nature of God. When Moses was taking the people

  371. out of Egypt, taking them into Canaan land.

  372. Thank God for godly leaders. You know, some people try to.

  373. Rebel. Against.

  374. Moses and it says 3000 people died.

  375. With Korra's rebellion. But you know, on the day of

  376. Pentecost, this is redemptive. 3000 were added.

  377. That's the. Redemptive nature of God.

  378. He is always working for our highest benefit.

  379. So I just want. To stay away from Kryptonite.

  380. And just like Joseph sometimes. It's good to There's no shame in

  381. running from things. When Potiphar's wife tried to

  382. seduce Joseph, you know what he did?

  383. He didn't send sit there and try to have a conversation with her

  384. and witness Jesus to her. He ran.

  385. Amen. Hallelujah.

  386. All right, so. Let's go back to First

    1 Corinthians 10 chapter mention

  387. Corinthians chapter 10, very first verse that we read.

  388. I just want to break down really 2 verses as we look at Paul's

  389. recalling of this story. He said more of a brother than I

  390. do not want you to be unaware. One translation says I don't

  391. want you to be ignorant. Hallelujah.

  392. God does not want you to be spiritually stupid.

  393. Are you with me? People perish because of a lack

  394. of knowledge. God wants you to be spirit,

  395. spiritually intelligent, he said.

  396. I don't want you to be unaware. I don't want you to be ignorant,

  397. one translation says. I don't want you to forget.

  398. The message says remember. Our history and be warned.

  399. Remember our history and be. Warned So God is bringing this

  400. account through the apostle Paul, 'cause he wants us to be

  401. attuned and attentive to what's happening by the, you know, in

  402. the earth today by the Spirit of God.

  403. And then? He said that all of our

  404. relatives were under the cloud. Could you imagine that?

  405. Say you got up tomorrow morning and there was a cloud over your

  406. house. You're driving to work and

  407. there's a cloud over your car. You're doing transactions.

  408. There's. A cloud.

  409. And then it blows me away. There was a.

  410. Mobile rock following them too. We won't get into that.

  411. There was a rock following them that gave out water, but there

  412. was a cloud. The cloud speaks of God's

  413. guidance and His protection. And then it said they all pass

  414. through the sea. Can you imagine the miracle?

  415. That's God doing what man can't. When they got to the red.

  416. Sea, it said the clouds stood behind them, Pharaoh's trying to

  417. chase them down, the devil's trying to trace you down, right?

  418. But God put up a wall between the children of Israel and

  419. Pharaoh, the clouds between them, the seas in front of them.

  420. And God said, stand still and see the salvation of God.

  421. And an E wind blew all night. And the Bible says, you know,

  422. where there was the Red Sea, it was dry.

  423. They passed through. There was so much.

  424. This is the best air hand dryer you could have.

  425. At Universal. The girls at which I didn't do

  426. it was late at night. They want to do a a a water

  427. ride. I was like, I'm not doing that.

  428. I'm not getting wet. But they had these big dryers

  429. out there. I was like, let's see how this

  430. thing really works. It was like a human dryer.

  431. They get in to get all their clothes, you know, dry.

  432. It worked pretty good. But anyways, God took them on

  433. dry again. That's how powerful God is and

  434. in his redemption he saved you. How many born again blood bought

  435. children of God do we have in the house?

  436. 123123123 That's what our mighty men say to say Amen is 123

  437. That's just an that hit my spirit and yes, I've been born

  438. again. I've been purchased with

  439. incorruptible things or corruptible things, but with

  440. incorruptible things, with the precious blood of the Lord Jesus

  441. Christ. He did for me what I couldn't do

  442. for myself. He came to this earth.

  443. He walked it for 33 years. He was crucified, died, was

  444. buried, but on the third day the Spirit of God pulled him out of

  445. the grave. He was seen for 40 days and he

  446. ascended to the right hand of the Father.

  447. He put his blood on the mercy seat.

  448. And whoever calls on. The name of Jesus, whoever calls

  449. on that name, Jesus. So experience the power of God.

  450. What is the power of God? He could actually this dead

  451. spirit on the inside of you because of the fall of Adam, He

  452. can actually, he can actually create a brand new spirit on the

  453. inside of you. That means you're born again,

  454. born from above. I'm now a child of God.

  455. The power of God has gone into operation of my life.

  456. But now we need strength. Now we need strength.

  457. So they saw these. Can you imagine?

  458. You would think there's no way I couldn't stay locked in after a

  459. cloud followed me. And the Red Sea.

  460. Miracle, but they forgot. You know I like what Pastor

  461. Chase. Said, have you looked back on

  462. the faithfulness of God? Don't forget stay locked in

  463. Hebrews chapter 2. Verses 1.

    Hebrews 2 chapter mention

  464. Throughout three. I'm going to read this in just a

  465. second, but I want to before we go there, I want to finish 1st

  466. Corinthians 10. I want to go to 2 verses.

  467. We went to verse one. I want to look at verse 5.

  468. It says with most God was not well pleased for their bodies

  469. were scattered in the wilderness.

  470. God doesn't want you to die church in the wilderness.

  471. That is a low could you be saved?

  472. Yes, but you are not experiencing God's best in the

  473. wilderness and He, he wants to bring you up to a higher level

  474. of living and influence. And so God's not pleased when

  475. you die in the wilderness, the land of just enough.

  476. You may have come out of Egypt, but God really wants to bring

  477. you in a Canaan land one. Translation.

  478. Says the message says about verse 5, most were defeated by

  479. temptation during the hard time in the desert.

  480. Most were defeated by temptation, one translation

  481. says, because their lack of self-control led to

  482. disobedience, which led to death.

  483. Their lack of self-control. Which led to disobedience, led

  484. to death. They were struck down and

  485. overthrown, and God wasn't pleased with that.

  486. So now we go to Hebrews chapter. 2.

  487. Verses one through. 3. It says.

  488. This, therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things

  489. we have heard, lest we drift away.

  490. For if the words spoken through angels prove steadfast, every

  491. transgression and disobedience received a just reward.

  492. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation,

  493. which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was

  494. confirmed to us by those who heard Him?

  495. You know this letter is. Written to for the church, but

  496. they were drifting and I got a picture of this in my spirit

  497. when I thought about drifting. We got to give them more earnest

  498. heed lest we drift. That means you need to turn your

  499. mind to the word of God. That means you need to be

  500. attentive to the word of God. That means in a greater degree,

  501. I need to stay locked in to the word of God.

  502. When when the picture he gave me is this when hasn't most of us

  503. are Floridians or in Florida obviously, and have been to the

  504. ocean. You know I've gone out in the

  505. ocean before and you know what happens when there's a riptide

  506. or a strong current? You start to drift.

  507. Cause drifting is not sudden, it's a slow movement from one

  508. place to another. Either by air or by.

  509. Or by water. It's a slow drift and many times

  510. when I'm in the ocean, especially when I'm younger with

  511. the girls, I have my eyes on them, but I'm always have a

  512. marker on the sand of where our items are at and I thought that

  513. that marker is our the word of God.

  514. And if you're drifting? You need to get back in

  515. alignment. I always made sure if I got too

  516. far right, I had to come back to the left because that's my

  517. marker right there. And the word of truth is your

  518. marker in life. And it's our responsibility to

  519. stay in alignment and not drift. We don't want to neglect this

  520. great redemption. We don't want to neglect,

  521. neglect this great salvation. We don't want to neglect the

  522. great plan that God has for us. What?

  523. What does neglect mean it? Means to be careless.

  524. It means to. Have no regard for.

  525. We want to be thankful to. God, you know I'm going to give

  526. an example of a marriage covenant because a marriage has

  527. a covenant and a commitment to it, right?

  528. There's a relationship, but there's also responsibility and

  529. you got to renew your mind. Hallelujah.

  530. It's not 2 roommates living together and.

  531. The and the problem with many. Men is they treat the woman like

  532. another male. This isn't a marriage

  533. conference, but. She's a female, you realize.

  534. Males and females think differently.

  535. Hallelujah if you don't. Don't be ignorant.

  536. I'm giving you truth. That's why guys go to the

  537. bathroom. By themselves.

  538. I've never asked Raphael to go. To the bathroom with me.

  539. But I've had I've heard. Especially when I was high

  540. school. Oh, let's go to the bathroom

  541. together. They.

  542. Think differently. You can say Amen or owe me, but

  543. it's true. But there's a covenant, there's.

  544. A commitment. It's a covenant because.

  545. Listen, in the Kingdom of God, God commands a male and a female

  546. to get married. And to keep this G rated when.

  547. They commence it. You all know what I mean by

  548. commence. He commands the woman to.

  549. Be a virgin. Right.

  550. And because she's a virgin, when that happens, blood is shed.

  551. The hymen is broken. And it's a covenant.

  552. Are you with me? This is why we need to go by

  553. God's standard. Listen, if we were all pure and

  554. did a God's way and thank God for his redemption and His

  555. forgiveness, this is not a ministry of condemnation, but it

  556. is a ministry of truth, right? And thank God for forgiveness

  557. and repentance. But if we did a God's way, you

  558. realize you would never have to worry about any sexually

  559. transmitted disease. And I'll say it this way there.

  560. Is no emotional condom for the heart so there is no safe sex is

  561. what I'm saying. But in in a commitment.

  562. I you know till death do us part.

  563. Have you ever heard that in wedding vows till death do us

  564. part? You know when I got born again,

  565. I was in this for life till. Death do me a part of the great.

  566. Thing about God is that's just a transition, 'cause my spirit's

  567. always alive to Him. And one thing I want you to

  568. take. Away from this message is start

  569. with eternity and work your way backwards.

  570. Start with eternity and work your way backwards.

  571. I am saved. I was saved.

  572. I'll say it the way Pastor Chase said I was saved, I am saved and

  573. I will be saved. You got to I was.

  574. Saved. I am saved and I will be saved.

  575. I didn't get in this for a good time.

  576. I got in this for a long time. Now, thank God, God has.

  577. A goodness 'cause He is good. But this is a long eternity is a

  578. long time. You better like the person

  579. you're with for eternity. Amen.

  580. And you'll love God. Amen.

  581. But I want to read this. This is.

  582. Actually vows that Angie and I read it some, not the whole

  583. thing. I'm not going to do a whole

  584. wedding ceremony, but just to remind you this, you're, you're

  585. locked in for life is what I'm saying.

  586. We're we're really married. To the Lord.

  587. Can I put it that way? We're in covenant with him.

  588. Now God will give. Natural examples.

  589. And he has, he has ordained, you know, the marriage covenant

  590. between a man and a woman, but he's also ordained that covenant

  591. with him. So listen this the marriage

  592. union is the closest relationship that can't exist

  593. between two human beings. When a man and woman decide to

  594. join together in marriage, they should do so with a full

  595. realization of their responsibilities.

  596. Marriage is serious business. When two born again believers

  597. know it is God's will for them to marry, they come together

  598. before God, a minister and witnesses to join their hearts

  599. and lives. They make a public profession of

  600. their mutual love and devotion, pronouncing vows and pledging

  601. their lives to each other. As they pronounce the marriage

  602. vows in faith, the power of God goes in operation and a miracle

  603. takes place. They are united by God and

  604. become as one in His sight. Their union is threefold.

  605. They are joined together spiritually by God, legally by

  606. the contract they entered into, and physically when the marriage

  607. is consummated. A husband and wife are joined

  608. together as Jesus is joined to the church.

  609. It's a miraculous union. So we need to be all.

  610. In the same way that we should be committed if you're married

  611. to your spouse, it's the same way we should be committed to

  612. God Almighty in this relationship.

  613. Now we are a three. Part being.

  614. We are a three-part being. Meaning I am a spirit, I have a

  615. soul, and I live in a body. You know I can give you

  616. scriptures. On this first, First

    1 Thessalonians 5 chapter mention

  617. Thessalonians chapter 5 says that your whole spirit, soul and

  618. body be preserved, blameless until the coming of the Lord.

  619. Over in Hebrews chapter 4, it says that the Word of God is

    Hebrews 4 chapter mention

  620. alive, it's active, it's sharper than any 2 edged sword, dividing

  621. between spirit and soul. So your soul's not your spirit,

  622. your spirit's not your soul. They're closely related, but

  623. it's a 3. It's a 3 part being.

  624. It's who you are. And why do I bring this up?

  625. Because God and His redemption has saved us.

  626. Through the blood of Christ. We've seen the power of God, but

  627. now it's up to us to get strong in the Lord and stay locked in.

  628. And this is where this Kingdom mindset comes in 'cause we need

  629. to renew our mind. Just cause your spirit's born

  630. again. Guess what?

  631. Your soul realm, which is your mind, what you think, your will,

  632. what you choose, and your emotions, what you feel.

  633. That's your soul realm, your mind.

  634. What you. Think your.

  635. Will what you choose. And your emotions, what you

  636. feel, you realize that that isn't born again when your

  637. spirit is. You realize when you give.

  638. Your life to the Lord at the altar, all of a sudden you're

  639. you're changing just doesn't miraculously you're thinking,

  640. thinking just and doesn't miraculous change.

  641. It's not like you go to the altar and all of a sudden all

  642. your thoughts are just perfect now.

  643. If that happened to you, come see me.

  644. After service but. But what's that mean we need to

  645. stay? Locked in.

  646. It was God's responsibility to save us.

  647. It's our responsibility in the relationship to say I'm going to

  648. renew my mind. You know, in Romans chapter. 12.

  649. Verses one through 2. It says this.

  650. I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,

  651. that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,

  652. acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and do not

  653. be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing

  654. of your mind, that you may prove was that good and acceptable and

  655. perfect will of God. Paul is writing by unction of

  656. the Spirit to the Church at Rome to do something with their body

  657. and do something with their soul.

  658. That's up to you. It's said that as a living

  659. sacrifice, the thing with a living sacrifice, it can climb

  660. off the altar. Because it's living.

  661. So you have to make a choice that I'm going to stay on the

  662. altar of God. The new living.

  663. Translation says it like this. So, dear brothers and sisters, I

  664. plead with you, give your bodies to God because of all He has

  665. done for you. Let them be a living and holy

  666. sacrifice, the kind He will find acceptable.

  667. This is truly the way to worship Him.

  668. Don't copy. Don't copy the behavior and

  669. customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new

  670. person by changing the way you think.

  671. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is

  672. good and pleasing and perfect. Really, if you don't renew your

  673. mind, you're never known, never going to know God's purpose and

  674. plan for your life. Because God wants to bring you

  675. out. To bring you in and you're never

  676. going to do that. Know that unless you renew your

  677. mind. Another verse I want to give you

  678. that was a verse written to the church is from the book of James

  679. in chapter 1 verse #21 it says therefore lay aside all

  680. filthiness and overflow of wickedness and receive with

  681. meekness the implanted word which is able to save your soul.

  682. Isn't that amazing that James is writing to the church and he's

  683. saying that your soul needs saved their?

  684. Spirit man was. Already born again, but he's

  685. saying you need to receive the word because your mind is not

  686. saved. He's saying so receive.

  687. The Word. This is why daily Bible reading

  688. is so important 'cause it gets you in alignment with His

  689. thoughts, His will, His plans. Jeremiah chapter 31, verse 33.

    Jeremiah 31:33

  690. Jeremiah chapter 31, verse 33. But this is a covenant that I

    Jeremiah 31:33

  691. will make with the House of Israel after those days, says

  692. the Lord. I will put my law in their

  693. minds. I will put my law in their minds

  694. and write it on their hearts. I will be their God.

  695. They shall be my people. Going over to the book of

  696. Ephesians. I'm just giving you multiple

  697. scriptures for the renewing of the mind.

  698. Ephesians is a wonderful book. It's 6 chapters, power packed,

  699. shows 7 pictures of the church. It's easily divided in two

  700. different sections, Christos and Curious which is Lord and

  701. Christos which is the anointed. Christos tells us who we are in

  702. Him, our position. Lordship Curious tells us how we

  703. should behave in him. Didn't Jesus say you call me

  704. Lord Lord, but you don't do what I say?

  705. So the book of Ephesians is really tell us who we are

  706. positionally and how we should behave.

  707. But right in the 4th. Chapter of this book the apostle

  708. Paul says this in chapter 4 verses 20 through 24.

  709. It says you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard

  710. Him and have been taught by Jesus, as the truth is in Jesus

  711. that you put off. Put off concerning your formal

  712. conduct the old man which goes corrupt according to the

  713. deceitful lust, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind that

  714. you put on the new man which was created according to God in true

  715. righteousness and holiness now. I'm going to give you the.

  716. Verse where this whole message came out of as I was doing my

  717. Bible reading yesterday and it just fit like a glove.

  718. Proverbs 1430 Man, if you could, this is my assignment for you

  719. this week. Raise your hand.

  720. Say I got homework. Say I'm going to do it.

  721. Say I'm going to be a doer of the word.

  722. This thing jumped off the page when I was doing my Bible

  723. reading yesterday. Proverbs 1430 from the Message

  724. Bible. It says a sound mind makes for a

  725. robust body. But runaway.

  726. Emotions corrode the bones. Emotions that drift.

  727. That are not under control. Corrode your life.

  728. They'll make you die in the wilderness.

  729. If you are live solely by your emotional realm and make

  730. decisions just out of your emotions, it's going to corrode

  731. your life. You're going to be a wilderness

  732. wandering 40 year journey believer.

  733. But God said I. Want you to have a sound?

  734. I'm gonna give you a spirit of fear, but a power, love and a

  735. sound mind. It makes a robust body.

  736. I like that full of. Vigor, full of life, full of

  737. activity, full of strange, full of health.

  738. Because I got my mind. Isaiah 26, three, says he who

  739. keeps his mind stayed on him will have perfect peace.

  740. The opposite of that is if you don't keep your mind stayed on

  741. him, guess what? You're going to have runaway

  742. emotions. It's going to corrode your mind.

  743. You'll be the the. Believer that's drifting and the

  744. pastor saying hey back. This.

  745. Way there's a shark, I see the fan get out because we love,

  746. right? Holla.

  747. We don't want Jaws. Hallelujah.

  748. We want life. Amen.

  749. So sound mind makes. Her a robust body.

  750. What are you thinking about? What consumes your thoughts?

  751. What is your mind state? On First Peter chapter 1 verses

    1 Peter 1:13–16

  752. 13 through 16. I'm going to read this from the

  753. Message Bible. First Peter chapter 1, verses 13

    1 Peter 1:13–16

  754. through 16. So roll up your.

  755. Sleeves, get your head in the game.

  756. Be totally ready to receive the gift that's coming when Jesus

  757. arrives. Don't lazily, lazily slip back

  758. into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you felt like

  759. doing. You didn't know any better then,

  760. but now you do know. As obedient children, let

  761. yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God's life, a

  762. life energetic and blazing with holiness.

  763. God said I am holy, you be holy. This is the take away.

  764. Today I gave you one homework assignment of a verse, but

  765. really it was meditation. The big idea of this is

  766. meditation. What are you?

  767. You know what meditation is revolving in the mind over and

  768. over again. It could be what we call.

  769. Murmuring or just speaking You you may be saying the same

  770. thing, but is it what God is saying?

  771. Meditation means you're thinking.

  772. On something perpetually, you know.

  773. What? Everybody's.

  774. Meditating. If I could put your mind.

  775. On the screen right now, Hallelujah.

  776. But God, his eyes and nothing is hidden or naked from his sight.

  777. And if you got stinking? Thinking, I guarantee you I'm

  778. confident. Holy Spirit is saying.

  779. Let's correct that, Let's change that.

  780. It said that he would bring to remembrance the word of God.

  781. Are we leaning on Holy Spirit to say, hey, quicken to me a verse.

  782. You know what's going to take place tomorrow, This week, next

  783. month? God.

  784. Almighty Father, I'm just. Asking you what do I need to be

  785. thinking on during this season? And you got to be locked in on

  786. that. I'm chewing on that thing.

  787. This is a filet mignon. Sorry, vegans.

  788. Prime. USDA.

  789. Steak. With loaded I'm almost done.

  790. So loaded. Mashed.

  791. Potatoes, right? Asparagus.

  792. Green beans? I could take a vote.

  793. Hallelujah that chocolate. Bread at the Chocolate Emporium

  794. that the team got to experience. Praise the Lord, it was like

  795. dessert in your mouth. But that's how much we should.

  796. Crave man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word.

  797. Have you thought, Father, I just want to chew on your word today?

  798. It is so great. His word is more necessary than

  799. food, is what Job said. I desire your word more than my

  800. necessary food, is what he said. That's locked in.

  801. That's going to get you out of the wilderness and get you into

  802. Canaan Land, a land that's more than enough.

  803. Canaan land is equivalent to John 1010 in the New Testament.

  804. John 1010 says a thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.

  805. But I have come to give you life and to give it to you more

  806. abundantly. That's where you're either going

  807. to live in Egypt, which is survival mode.

  808. You're going to live in the wilderness, which is some

  809. success, or you're going to live in Canaan land, which is a land

  810. of significance. That's a land of more than.

  811. Enough. It's a land where I can actually

  812. give you something. You know when you only got 10?

  813. Dollars in the in the bank. You're not inviting anybody out

  814. to lunch. But when I got 100,000.

  815. Hey, church family. I can actually.

  816. That's Canaan living. When you're depressed, what are

  817. you going to give somebody? Oh.

  818. Come and let's complain together.

  819. Woe. Is us, we suck, we are losers.

  820. But if you got joy and that person's depressed, what's on

  821. you should get on them. I mean, my thinking when I was

  822. at Universal was like, is there going to be somebody's going to

  823. repent in front of me? 'Cause you're.

  824. Where I go, there you are. So your presence is with me, and

  825. your mere presence can convict somebody.

  826. Are you thinking like that? Are you locked in when you're

  827. going through Publix? When you're going through

  828. Walmart? When you're at the gas station?

  829. Wherever your journey may take you this week, what are you

  830. thinking on? Because greater is he that's in

  831. you than he that's in the world. So we got to meditate.

  832. We. Don't want to be like the 12

  833. spies from our Old Testament example.

  834. God sent 12 spies into Canaan land to see what the land was

  835. like. And they came.

  836. Back 10 gave a negative report. And said there's Giants.

  837. In the land we cannot do this. They were not locked into.

  838. What God said, They said we're like grasshoppers, which means

  839. we're fragile and insignificant. Those are giants are going to

  840. step on us and kill us. There's no way we're going to

  841. overtake, but oh, this church, anchor faith church, anchor

  842. faith church. We need to be like Joshua and be

  843. like Caleb, who holy God is looking for somebody to wholly

  844. follow him. They wholly believe the report

  845. of the Lord. Whose report are you going to

  846. believe, friends? Are you going to repeat, repeat

  847. believe the report of the Lord or the report of the enemy?

  848. And Joshua and Caleb said. We are Caleb, 85 years old.

  849. He had to wait for 40 years because of the disobedience of

  850. people, but he held on. He was locked in.

  851. He was locked. In he said I am well able give

  852. me this mountain Lord what? What mission and mountain does

  853. God have for you in life? What assignment seems so?

  854. You know, God doesn't give you a small assignment, something you

  855. can do in your own strength. He gives you something large and

  856. significant. You're a world changer.

  857. You're a change agent for the Kingdom of God.

  858. I can't get in all his teaching. But there was seven nations in

  859. Canaan land and God said you're going to overtake those seven

  860. nations and there's seven sectors of society.

  861. That God is saying you go out. And you impact those we can't

  862. have. Thank God for our fellowship,

  863. our family of believers, but we can't hang out 168 hours a day.

  864. That'd be a bad marketing plan by God anyways, because there's

  865. a lost world out there. I've heard some believers say I.

  866. I don't want to be in this ungodly environment.

  867. Maybe God's called you to that ungodly environment.

  868. To be an agent of. Change and to bring your

  869. influence and that mission into that environment to see people

  870. get born again and come into the Kingdom of God.

  871. So I'm going to give you. Several scriptures as we wrap up

  872. today. You got to get locked in.

  873. We got to change our mentality. Are you with me?

  874. I I remember when I went out. I've always been a big football

  875. fan and I remember when I was a freshman.

  876. In high school. I went out for the Gahanna

  877. Lincoln High School football team.

  878. What a great state. I was thinking about that today.

  879. If you don't realize that I'm only reason I'm in Florida

  880. because God called me to Florida.

  881. I don't really love Florida. Sorry if I offend you, but I

  882. think there's more greatness in Ohio.

  883. But that's just preference, not conviction.

  884. But I remember I went out for that team and I was actually

  885. shorter and fatter and SAT the bench the whole year.

  886. Now thank God for godly parents. I wanted to quit so bad and they

  887. said no, you gave your word, you won't keep it.

  888. So the next two years I spent on actually getting the gym and

  889. training. Went back out my senior year and

  890. actually started all the games and we won there our conference

  891. championship. It was awesome, but I wasn't as

  892. locked in as I am today. I shared with my wife something.

  893. Something clicked when it came to athletics and boy, you know

  894. we don't have want to have regrets in life.

  895. I look back and have you ever thought if I could go back and

  896. do that again, oh, I would dominate.

  897. LGI would dominate because I'm locked in.

  898. I mean now I'm so locked in. I got hurt at flag football 2

  899. weeks ago. Hallelujah, I pulled.

  900. Something I said I don't care, I'm going.

  901. And then Todd did a little move on me.

  902. I tried to cut and pulled it again.

  903. But I ain't stopping. I'll bleed out, I'll have broken

  904. bones. I don't care.

  905. 'Cause I want to win. I'm blocked in.

  906. I mean, I woke up the next day. There was bruising everywhere.

  907. Glory to God. My wife's like.

  908. And. Then I kind of mentioned, hey,

  909. maybe. I could play next week, she

  910. said. I'm interceding.

  911. You are not playing. Next week.

  912. But that's the mentality. Man, I am just going to go all

  913. out. 'Cause I'm locked in.

  914. Are you locked in? Are you locked into the things

  915. of? God, let me, let me finish with

  916. some meditation scriptures, 'cause if you're going to be a

  917. man or woman of God that's going to take whatever God's assigned

  918. you, 'cause you realize when they got into caneland, this is

  919. the principle of caneland. Get this they possess by

  920. dispossessing. What does that mean?

  921. Whatever's there, I move out of the way and I take it over.

  922. So whatever thought has. Been trying to penetrate your

  923. mind. I take that captive, I throw it

  924. out and I let the mind of Christ possess me.

  925. Did you get that? So these are this is a key to

  926. conquering your Canaan land. You know, the great thing about

  927. Canaan Land is everybody got an inheritance.

  928. There was enough territory for everybody.

  929. And you are unique. You are fearfully and

  930. wonderfully made. I wonder what he's got in store

  931. for you. I wonder.

  932. What he's got in. Store for you.

  933. Because your assignment's not. My assignment, but he's given

  934. you a sphere of influence or a territory to take.

  935. And he's. Saying go do great things for

  936. the Kingdom of God, but you're never going to be there if you

  937. don't get locked in. So let me give you 3 scriptures

  938. on meditation and then we'll close.

  939. Joshua. Chapter One verse #8.

  940. It says this from the amplified. Bible, This book of the Law

  941. shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read and

  942. meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do

  943. everything in accordance with all that is written in it, for

  944. then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be

  945. successful. God wants your way to be

  946. prosperous and He wants you to be successful, but don't let the

  947. book of the law depart from your mouth.

  948. How do you practically do that? If, if something comes up where

  949. there's a need, you don't have enough God, I think you supply

  950. that need. You're faithful to your word, a

  951. man, you're a faithful. You're not going to let me down.

  952. I trust in you, trust in Lord with all your heart.

  953. Don't lean to your understanding.

  954. Acknowledge Him. He will direct your financial

  955. path. Lord, when's that right person

  956. going to come? I don't know, but I'm preparing

  957. right now. Preparation is the evidence that

  958. you preparing is the evidence you believe something's coming.

  959. So I'm getting right now trusting.

  960. You When's that new promotion coming?

  961. I don't know when, but I trust God, his favours upon me.

  962. I'm going to work hard. I'm going to ask for wisdom

  963. beyond my years, wisdom beyond my knowledge, and wisdom beyond

  964. my experience. And they're going to see the

  965. value in me as a Kingdom citizen.

  966. But speak the word. Speak the word, let it be on

  967. your lips, let it be on your mouth.

  968. Life and death is in the power of the tongue.

  969. Those that love it will eat the fruit thereof.

  970. God created his world by his word.

  971. What world are you creating by your words?

  972. If we're made in his image and after his likeness?

  973. Thank God. Thank God he didn't say you're

  974. stupid. I'm serious.

  975. If God said that. Do we put that much?

  976. Value in what we're saying, Psalms one, one through 3.

  977. Blessed is a man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

  978. nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of

  979. the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord.

  980. And in his law he meditates day and night.

  981. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that

  982. brings forth its fruit and its season, whose leave also shall

  983. not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.

  984. I'm not standing. I'm not listening to Doctor

  985. Phil. I'm not listening to Oprah.

  986. I'm not listening to bloggers who say they're experts on the

  987. Internet. Usually you know what that is?

  988. It's. Usually just somebody, their

  989. opinion they've been. Divorced.

  990. Five times they're trying to give you a marital advice.

  991. Hallelujah, I'm listening. I'm not giving myself to

  992. foolishness. I'm giving myself to truth

  993. because I'm in the Word. I'm meditating on the Word.

  994. What a wonderful God promised. God swore.

  995. God made an oath that if you think on His Word and you do it,

  996. you're going to have a successful and a prosperous

  997. path. That's a guarantee.

  998. Last Scripture worship team. You can come First Timothy

    1 Timothy 4:13–16

  999. chapter 4, verses 13 through 16. It says this till I.

1000. Come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

1001. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you

1002. by the prophecy. With the lane on the hands of

1003. the elder ship. Meditate on on these things.

1004. Give yourself locked in entirely to them, that your progress may

1005. be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the

1006. doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing

1007. this you will say both yourselves and those who hear

  1008. you. Hallelujah.
