  1. Let's turn over to 1st John chapter 4.

    John 4 chapter mention

  2. First John chapter 4. Amen.

    1 John 4 chapter mention

  3. First John chapter 4. We'll start in verse 15 and

    1 John 4 chapter mention

  4. we'll go to verse 17 and it says this whoever say whoever, so

  5. that's anyone on the planet at any time, whoever confesses that

  6. Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him.

  7. And he and God, we have come to know and have believed the love

  8. which God has for us. God is love and the one who

  9. abides in love abides in God and God abides in him, right?

  10. Verse 17 by this love is perfected with us so that we may

  11. have confidence, say confidence in the day of judgment, because

  12. as he is, as he is, as who is Come on, who's he, What's his

  13. name? Come on, what's his name?

  14. What's his name? Say it again, say it again, say

  15. it again. Again.

  16. Yesterday in stadiums all over our nation, people shouted for

  17. their team. So if anyone should be in an

  18. uproar about being on a team, it should be us.

  19. What's his name? Because I'm telling you, heaven

  20. will not be quiet nor reserved when it comes to Jesus showing

  21. up. We are going to be giddy,

  22. excited, about to explode, I mean screaming.

  23. It's going to be amazing because the King of glory, the creator

  24. of heaven and earth, God himself, is going to show off.

  25. Come on. He's going to walk out amongst

  26. us with holes in his hands and his feet and in his side He

  27. reigns supreme. Glory to God, the key Woo Mama.

  28. His name should get you on your feet.

  29. Shout, put you on your knees. My God, do not lose the fact

  30. that Jesus reigns now. Yeah, so often people use it

  31. here, say his name and it's just like Jesus.

  32. No, this is not just some brother, somebody or pal,

  33. somebody that you've D God and humanized.

  34. He is the name above all names. He is the name to be honored,

  35. the name to be glorified, the name that makes you want to

  36. shout from the rooftops, right? The the name that no one could

  37. ever suppress, the joy in your life, the peace that you have,

  38. right? You would never be intimidated

  39. with anyone. You would be willing to do

  40. what's happening in other nations where you would never

  41. denounce His name, even if at the cost of your own life.

  42. Hallelujah. Because I'm telling you, if you

  43. can't come to church without an air condition, you sure going to

  44. have a hard time if somebody's got a machete, praise the Lord.

  45. Anyway, so, so as Jesus is, so also are we.

  46. In which one? Come on, which world?

  47. Which world have you read about Jesus in this world?

  48. Have you read the gospels of how Jesus walked on the planet and

  49. the exploits that he did by the Father?

  50. And it says as he is now listen, this is as he is prior to his

  51. death, burial, resurrection, prior to his death, burial,

  52. resurrection. Although he did walk on this

  53. earth after his resurrection, but before it, he walked on the

  54. planet, not intimidated with someone who had authority, who

  55. was reigning and walking in a dominion that was was his

  56. brother Adam. But he was not intimidated.

  57. Good news is he has beat him. He has stripped him of his

  58. power. He has destroyed him.

  59. He has put him under the feet of the church.

  60. So here we've got to think as Jesus is, so are we.

  61. I mean, Jesus didn't walk around depressed, didn't walk around

  62. inferior. Jesus didn't walk around like,

  63. oh, I don't know what I'm going to do.

  64. How am I going to make it through tomorrow?

  65. How did Jesus function? That's how we are to function.

  66. See, if you don't know your Kingdom identity, then you're

  67. not going to function in this earth as God intended you.

  68. This is not about waiting to go to heaven to arrive.

  69. You have arrived the day you were born of God and you commit

  70. yourself to learning the ways of the Kingdom.

  71. You get to elevate yourself right now and reign in this

  72. life. Glory to God, Hallelujah.

  73. This is not barely making it, holding on, waiting to go.

  74. It's about bringing that realm into this realm through our

  75. lives so that when people see us, they're like, my gosh, it's

  76. as if you were with Jesus. You do the same things he did.

  77. Are you hearing me? So this is really important for

  78. us to understand that as He is, so also are we and we need to

  79. get this revelation. I mean, when you get it, you'll

  80. never be depressed another day, you'll never take another

  81. thought, you'll not be anxious, you'll not worry one more day of

  82. your life because Jesus did not walk around worried, clinging,

  83. ringing his hands, trying to fig.

  84. He just said whatever the Father says, so be it, it's done and it

  85. was done. Amen.

  86. And we can function this way. I'm going to bring you into a

  87. passage of scripture that I'm going to show you that this

  88. thing that Jesus encountered the first time is the same thing he

  89. encountered through the cycle of his life.

  90. It did not change and He conquered it the same way every

  91. time. It is considered from Bible when

  92. we went to Bible school, what they call a precedent setting

  93. event. That means it set precedent and

  94. then anything after that would fall underneath this precedent.

  95. All right. And so Jesus shows us how we

  96. overcome, how we dominate in life.

  97. Because here's the thing, when Jesus was on the planet, the one

  98. the enemy had dominion. But now during our time he

  99. doesn't, he doesn't even have dominion.

  100. He doesn't have this power anymore over us that are

  101. believers doesn't even have it. So how much more confident

  102. should we be in this life and in this world, knowing that Jesus

  103. has already defeated this folk and overcome?

  104. He said in this life you'll have but be of what?

  105. Good tears? No, be of good what now?

  106. This is not some little hat laughing moment.

  107. This is not putting on a laugh. This is being of a cheer,

  108. knowing that God has already defeated and overcome everything

  109. in life pertaining us. Amen.

  110. And so we can function now in this life in a way that allows

  111. us to overcome and conquer all the time.

  112. All right, here we go. Matthew chapter 3, starting in

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  113. verse 13. Matthew 313 says this.

  114. Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan, coming to John he

  115. to to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent him,

  116. saying, I have need to be baptized by you, do you come to

  117. me? But Jesus answer answering said

  118. to him permitted at this time, for in this way it is fitting

  119. for us to fulfill all righteousness.

  120. Then he permitted him. After being baptized, Jesus came

  121. up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were

  122. open. And he saw the Spirit of God

  123. descending as a dove and lighting on him.

  124. And behold, a voice out of heaven said, This is my beloved

  125. son, in whom I am what well pleased.

  126. Now we have no recorded account of the new birth of Jesus,

  127. because Jesus did not have to be born again.

  128. Jesus was before in the beginning was the Word, and the

  129. Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became

  130. flesh, right? And he's without sin.

  131. Amen. That's why Isaiah said a child

  132. will be born, a son will be given, Son's not born, a son's

  133. given. Why?

  134. Because the Son always existed and he existed in God.

  135. So we have no account of a salvation experience with Jesus

  136. because Jesus doesn't sin. However, Jesus is emptied

  137. himself of His glory and he comes to earth, not functioning

  138. as God, but functioning as a man anointed of God.

  139. And so Jesus, who is righteous, He is holy.

  140. His whole life up to this point has been separated unto God.

  141. He is only consumed with His Father's business.

  142. Remember when he was 13 years old, his parents thought he was

  143. with family members, only to have left three days from the

  144. community to realize Jesus is not around.

  145. They had to go back to where they had last seen him.

  146. Then it took some time for them to find him in the synagogue,

  147. where He is blowing the minds of the religious with his

  148. interpretation of the Scripture. Now when I say his

  149. interpretation, he's the one who wrote it in the first place.

  150. He is the author. He is the finisher.

  151. He's the author of all the words of the prophets and of Moses.

  152. He knows the context. Amen.

  153. He's like, you've been interpreting this wrong.

  154. This is what I meant when I said, and this is what I meant

  155. when I said, Now I've authored 8 books myself.

  156. And if you want to know what I mean when I talk about something

  157. in the book, well, you don't have to go to your neighbor.

  158. You don't have to find somebody else and say, what do you think

  159. the author meant? All you got to do is set a

  160. meeting with me and I'll say this is exactly what I meant

  161. when I said it. So that's why Jesus said, you've

  162. heard the ancient say, thou shalt.

  163. But I say unto you, let me give you the right interpretation.

  164. I am the author, Amen. And so Jesus is here in this

  165. moment, no sin, yet is not publicly preaching, because for

  166. him to step out and do what God's called him to do as a man

  167. of what God intended, is that he would have the Spirit of God

  168. upon him, Amen. Because he is, he emptied

  169. himself up his God of being God, and he says I am going to

  170. function as a man, as the first Adam was supposed to anointed of

  171. God. So when he comes in on John the

  172. Baptist here, he tells him it's been written that this event is

  173. to occur and I only fulfill God's word.

  174. That's right. That's why he said you need to

  175. baptize me. And John's like really, I should

  176. baptize you. Remember what John was

  177. preaching? He said I am not worthy to even

  178. untie the man sandals when he shows up, the Messiah that's

  179. coming, the King of Israel, the lamb that will take away the

  180. sins of the world. I'm not even worthy to unlace

  181. his sandals. And I'm baptizing you with

  182. water, but he's going to baptize you with a Holy Ghost and fire.

  183. Whoa, glory to God. However, Jesus says, cannot do

  184. what you're wanting me to do, because I need to yield and

  185. submit to my Father's word. I must go into the earth

  186. preaching the Kingdom as a man anointed of God.

  187. And so he says we must do what Father said.

  188. He yielded to that submission. John baptized him, and as he

  189. came up in faith, this was a faith project.

  190. He was believing God was going to anoint him because the Father

  191. said, this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased.

  192. There's a word associated with faith, for without faith it's

  193. impossible to. So if the Lord says he's

  194. pleased, guess what? He's acknowledging you are a

  195. person of faith. Let me say this, I heard a

  196. minister say it this way. He said, you know, God never

  197. called, said he was proud of his son because to be proud is to

  198. have pride and God has no pride. But the greatest thing that a

  199. parent can say to their child is I am well pleased.

  200. And this is what he said. He said and say, this is my

  201. beloved son and whom I'm proud of.

  202. He said, this is my beloved son and whom I am.

  203. Well, He's following me at my word because my word is life.

  204. Hallelujah. And so we can learn a few things

  205. from this passage of Scripture that is repetitive in our life.

  206. And that is Jesus did not come to show you what God can do.

  207. Jesus came to show you what you can do, what man was destined to

  208. do from the beginning. Again, Jesus came to take away

  209. the sins of the world, but that's not the only reason He

  210. has to take away the sins of the world because the sins of the

  211. world is what's hindering you from being what God originally

  212. intended you to be. See, we have we, if we don't

  213. watch out, we can make the gospel in our own minds about

  214. taking away our sin. Well, why are we taking away the

  215. sin? What's the purpose for the sin

  216. to be taken away? Well, we jump one and say, well,

  217. it's to have a relationship with God.

  218. Well, what kind of relationship then do we have?

  219. You understand, we have to keep asking these questions because

  220. there's more to it than just relationship.

  221. Because again, if it's just relationship, well, I can kind

  222. of wait to have the fullness of that relationship when I go to

  223. heaven where God is. But when I realized it's not

  224. just about relationship, it's about sonship, it's about

  225. destiny. It's about what I was destined

  226. to be from the beginning. And that is God said, let us

  227. make man in our image according to our likeness and let him have

  228. dominion where on the earth, not in heaven, but on earth.

  229. And so I'm not forfeiting my destiny by waiting to go

  230. somewhere. I'm able to walk in it today,

  231. and Jesus demonstrated how we could.

  232. Now Jesus shows this demonstration right out the gate

  233. of what we would face. The first thing we can learn in

  234. this passage of Scripture is that outward submission always

  235. manifests after inward submission.

  236. Now let me give you a lesson on submission because I hear this

  237. often. They people say this all the

  238. time. If you agree with someone,

  239. you're not submitting. True submission only comes when

  240. you disagree. But do it anyway.

  241. That is not scriptural. Period.

  242. If that was scriptural, then we could disagree with God, yet do

  243. what God says and get a result. But yet that's contrary to faith

  244. because faith is called a firm persuasion.

  245. We are to be firmly persuaded what God said.

  246. We cannot hold our own opinion and think we're right, yet do

  247. God. This is why Kennethy Hagan was

  248. corrected after his first year of leaving the pastorate

  249. ministry and going out on an assignment to teach his feet,

  250. teach God's people faith. And he came to the end of the

  251. year and he sat down and did a presentation before the Lord

  252. according to Isaiah says make bring your case before me.

  253. And his case was when I was pastoring, I was prospering, I

  254. was doing better and and your word says the the willing and

  255. obedient obedient will eat the good of the land.

  256. Here I've been on the road doing what you told me to do, yet I'm

  257. not better off. I'm doing worse.

  258. So what's the problem? Because Lord, your word says the

  259. willing and the obedient will eat the good of the land.

  260. And the Lord corrected his non submission.

  261. He said you don't qualify for that verse.

  262. And he said he punched me in my spiritual stomach.

  263. He says you've been obedient, but you've not been willing,

  264. which means the whole year he was thinking, man, I wish I was

  265. pastoring man. It was better back there had the

  266. best house we ever had had the best finance we ever had had all

  267. this, but I'm going to obey. So guess what, he was in

  268. disagreement with God, yet obey. Jesus does the same thing as

  269. well when he said, you've heard the ancient say, thou shalt not,

  270. But I say unto you, you may not be sleeping with that woman, but

  271. you want to. Now the outward action is

  272. showing that you are not in adultery, but inwardly you want

  273. to be with that Lady. And he says that is punishable

  274. with death. So you understand what true

  275. submission is, is that it doesn't mean you can't disagree,

  276. it just means you have to recognize I disagree with God.

  277. So I'm going to throw away my thought and now I'm going to

  278. fully agree with God. I cast down my thought.

  279. I take His thought as my own and now it is my own.

  280. It's as if it originated with me.

  281. I am all I am willing to do. All this is the only plan there

  282. is. There is no other idea.

  283. So you abandon all of your thoughts in your way, and you

  284. fully accept God's way, and then you act on that.

  285. See, that's why Jesus in the garden said Lord, if there's any

  286. other way. Let this cut pass, but not which

  287. means I get willing to totally do it your way.

  288. Jesus did not drag a cross down that road saying man, I don't

  289. want to do this. No, he settled that I'll get

  290. he's three times. I will not take this thought

  291. that I shouldn't do it. I will be in full agreement with

  292. my Father. I am totally submitted to him in

  293. heart, thought and action. In heart, thought and action, in

  294. heart, thought and action. I am totally submitted.

  295. His way is my way. That is true submission, which

  296. means now I am in complete agreement with the Lord.

  297. Hallelujah. And so His outward submission

  298. manifested with His inward submission.

  299. The second thing we learned is outward submission is the fruit

  300. of righteousness. Again, I just heard a minister

  301. or someone say this recently that they had an orange in their

  302. hand and would ask questions. You know, what is this an

  303. orange? If I squeezed it, what will I

  304. get? Juice.

  305. What kind of juice? Will it be orange juice?

  306. Will I ever get pineapple juice out of this?

  307. I'll say no. Why?

  308. Because it's an orange. And then in essence, no matter

  309. what kind of pressure you put on an orange, you'll always just

  310. get orange juice because it will always produce what's on the

  311. inside, right? And so when pressure comes to

  312. us, it should only produce what's in US.

  313. And we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

  314. Are you hearing me? It should not produce a

  315. different nature. It should not produce a

  316. different behavior. OK #3 Jesus's work of faith

  317. granted access to power because he was in faith.

  318. Power came, man. When you get in faith, power

  319. shows up. But again, faith is a firm

  320. persuasion that God's Word is the only word concerning what

  321. you're facing. And you call that thing as

  322. though it be, not as though it were.

  323. Yet you're firmly persuaded it's exactly as he said.

  324. And when you do that, the power of the Kingdom of God will show

  325. up #4 Jesus received power #5 God the Father acknowledges his

  326. pleasure of Jesus's seeing obedience.

  327. This is what we're learning here in this first passage, this one

  328. little thing, now this. How does this reflect us?

  329. Can we not do this? Can we have an outward

  330. submission that's a result of us inwardly submitting to God's

  331. word? Can we not produce the fruit of

  332. righteousness through our obedience that is being seen by

  333. everyone else? Can we not function in faith and

  334. cause power to show up? Do we not receive power from on

  335. high? Jesus said don't even be my

  336. witnesses until you receive power from on high.

  337. He wants us anointed. Jesus said the Spirit of the

  338. Lord is upon me, for he has, and he wants us anointed with the

  339. same anointing. All right, and then God the

  340. Father will acknowledge his pleasure in us when we function

  341. in that obedience. The next thing we learn is that

  342. God the Father recognizes this demonstration as an act of his

  343. Son. Romans tells us those who are

  344. led by the Spirit of God, these, let me go over here, those who

  345. are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

  346. You know the Bible talks a lot about sons and daughters of God

  347. beyond just a salvation confession.

  348. In essence, the Bible informs us that the confession alone is not

  349. the only manifestation that they are sons of God or children of

  350. God. If they do have a confession of

  351. faith that Christ is Lord of their lives, then guess what?

  352. It will demonstrate that they will be led by the Spirit, that

  353. their lifestyle will look differently.

  354. There's a list. What we do is we start at one

  355. spot that gives us entrance, and then we ignore that all of these

  356. are equal evidences of what took place of a confession of faith.

  357. Yet sometimes we'll discount that being led by the Spirit of

  358. God makes your child. No, that doesn't make me a child

  359. of God. I just had to confess.

  360. Well, if you confess then this will happen.

  361. It's not like you can confess and the rest do not happen.

  362. These things come together. In essence, the Bible is showing

  363. to us, if this has occurred, then this will be an evidence.

  364. If this has occurred, then this will be an evidence.

  365. If this has occurred, then this will be an evidence.

  366. Amen. And so we have to then aspire so

  367. that when we are born again, we would recognize that I am

  368. different, God lives in me, I won't function like the world,

  369. and He's going to train me. So guess what?

  370. You're going to actually see something different about me

  371. period. Not I asked him into my heart.

  372. Now when I die, get to go to heaven.

  373. How I live now is really irrelevant.

  374. The Bible does not support that kind of gospel.

  375. Amen. So the Father recognizes sonship

  376. through obedience. He said this is my beloved Son

  377. in whom I'm well please and then the last thing we can learn from

  378. this one section. God the Father decreed or

  379. declared him to be his son. Well, you want the listen.

  380. You cannot arrive to any higher platitude than being known as

  381. God's child cannot. That is the pinnacle of being

  382. known is to be known by the Lord, that your Father in heaven

  383. knows your name. He knows you, He knows

  384. everything about you. He knows why you were created.

  385. It is the greatest thing on the face of the planet.

  386. Doesn't matter how many people know you, doesn't matter how

  387. many people in the world know you because they didn't die for

  388. you, they didn't write your story.

  389. They don't know your plan, they don't know anything.

  390. The only one that matters is Jesus knowing you, the Father

  391. knowing you, and you being known by him.

  392. Because once you've hit that, you're at the pinnacle and if

  393. you walk through life and he was the only one who knew you, you

  394. would have arrived. Now, here's the thing.

  395. If you're known by him that way and you stay wanting to be known

  396. by him that way, well then others are going to know you

  397. because you show him. I said you show him Hallelujah.

  398. As Paul said, I must decrease. Or, or as John said, I must

  399. decrease and he must increase. So God expected that we would

  400. yield to the Father, we would receive power from the Father,

  401. that we would be declared sons of the Father.

  402. Because we have received power, we walk in obedience and we

  403. carry out God's will for our lives.

  404. The minute this moment happens, we then go straight into the

  405. temptation of Christ. This is Matthew chapter 3, which

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  406. now clips over into Matthew chapter 4 verse one.

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  407. But I'm not going to read the Matthew account.

  408. I want to go to the Luke account and so go to Luke chapter 4,

    Luke 4 chapter mention

  409. same chapter in Luke as in Matthew.

  410. But I want to look at it because it explains one particular

  411. temptation a little bit better than Matthew does.

  412. So Luke chapter 1 or 4 verse one, Jesus full of the Holy

    Luke 1 chapter mention

  413. Spirit. Come on, can you be full of the

  414. Holy Spirit? God wants us full of the Holy

  415. Spirit. Amen.

  416. So Jesus is showing us how we are in the world like him.

  417. And listen, he's not, for He's not even preached his first

  418. public sermon, right? Come on, come on, He's not even

  419. done it. Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit,

  420. returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the

  421. wilderness. So the Spirit of God took him

  422. into the wilderness For what purpose?

  423. For 40 days, being tempted by the devil.

  424. And he ate nothing during those days.

  425. And when they had ended, he became hungry.

  426. Was he hungry? Sure.

  427. You go 40 days without anything, you're going to be most of you 6

  428. hours. You're done, right?

  429. Right. We call a fast here.

  430. You're like, Pastor, I only do half a day.

  431. That's it, man. I just can't handle that, right?

  432. 40 days. He does this all right.

  433. And so we see here that the Spirit of God is not intimidated

  434. with an enemy. Now again, Jesus is encountering

  435. an enemy that actually has dominion.

  436. When you encounter an enemy, they do not.

  437. I mean, what an advantage to us. What an advantage to us.

  438. So here Jesus, full of the Spirit, just had this huge

  439. accolade by God. That's typically how it works.

  440. That's what he's saying. You get a revelation from the

  441. Father concerning you, who you are, what you can identify with,

  442. what's yours, because you are now in the Kingdom the minute He

  443. gives you. And now when I say identity, I'm

  444. talking about all associated with your inheritance.

  445. Because you are a child of God, you can prosper.

  446. Because you are a child of God, you can walk in health and

  447. healing. Because you are a child of God,

  448. you can walk in joy, unspeakable joy and full of glory.

  449. Because you are a child of God, you can have peace that passes

  450. all understanding. Now all those are great shouting

  451. services that we would run around and say great, and then

  452. the Spirit of God is out there with you in everyday life and

  453. the enemy would show up and try to tempt you right after the

  454. event. Amen.

  455. Now let's see how Jesus responds to this.

  456. It goes on. And the devil said to him, If

  457. you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.

  458. And Jesus answered him. It is written, Man shall not

  459. live on bread alone. And he led him up and showed him

  460. all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

  461. And the devil said, I will give you all this domain and its

  462. glory, for it has been handed over to me, and I will give it

  463. to whomever I wish. Therefore, if you worship me, it

  464. shall all be yours. And Jesus answered him, It is

  465. written twice. He said this, it is written, You

  466. shall worship the Lord your God and serve him what only.

  467. All right, here's what we can learn out of this passage of

  468. Scripture that will identify with us as well as the Son of

  469. God. He has the ability to be led by

  470. the Spirit, but as the Son of man, he has the ability to be

  471. led by the Spirit because Jesus said I'm the Son of man.

  472. So he is a man anointed of God. He had the capacity to be led by

  473. the Spirit of God. Guess what?

  474. We have the capacity to be led by the Spirit of God.

  475. Quit saying I cannot hear God. You can.

  476. If you're born of God, you can hear God.

  477. So quit saying I cannot hear accurately if you're not

  478. hearing, you're saying I choose not to because the Bible is very

  479. clear. His voice we will follow and

  480. another we will not. He's very clear if we seek him.

  481. We will hear from Him if we ask it to be given.

  482. If we knock, the doors going to be open.

  483. So there's no problem with us being able to be led by the

  484. Spirit of God. This is a natural occurrence for

  485. those who are children of God. Are you hearing me?

  486. This is natural. No problem.

  487. OK. As the Son of man, he has the

  488. duty to obey and act on the leading of the Spirit.

  489. I'm going to say that again. As a son of man who's anointed

  490. of God, he has the duty to respond and act but on the

  491. Spirit of God in the word of God.

  492. So when the Spirit says go this way, it's his duty.

  493. It's part of the relationship. He doesn't tell the father I'm

  494. not going there. He doesn't do this because a

  495. child of God will go because I am completely obedient and in

  496. agreement with my Father's plan for my life.

  497. As He reveals it, I follow it. His word is a lamp into my feet,

  498. a light into my path. I'm going to carry it out, do it

  499. and it alone. Because again, no matter where

  500. the Spirit leads you, there's only one result, Victory.

  501. I said victory. If you don't follow the Spirit,

  502. you're guaranteed defeat because the Spirit produces life.

  503. It has no problem going through the valley of the shadow of

  504. death. No problem.

  505. It's not intimidated by a valley of the shadow of death because

  506. again, it's a shadow and it's not even real.

  507. And he'll carry you all the way through.

  508. Thank you, Jesus. The next thing we learn is this.

  509. The enemy will always attack your identity.

  510. First thing the enemy says, if you are now, he just heard, and

  511. I'm not talking loud speakers, I'm talking from heaven.

  512. This thunderous supernatural experience.

  513. Jesus hears from heaven. This is my beloved Son in whom

  514. I'm well pleased. And the first words out of the

  515. enemy's mouth is, Are you sure you are who you think you are?

  516. And you know as well as I do that is always the question.

  517. You question yourself, which means God's not saying that.

  518. I said God's not saying that to you.

  519. That is the voice of the enemy to question your ability, to

  520. question who you are, to question what you can do.

  521. This is what this is what he does.

  522. And so we have to recognize that a man anointed of God is going

  523. to have an enemy come and challenge who we are.

  524. But the enemy's a liar. This is literally the devil.

  525. He is the father of lies. He's been a liar from the

  526. beginning. He's a liar.

  527. So the many he says, and I'm not sure you can do that.

  528. You're like, thank you for guaranteeing I can.

  529. Thank you for giving me confirmation.

  530. I don't need the devil to confirm, but if he opens his

  531. mouth, he confirms a lot of stuff.

  532. Amen. I mean, believers get more

  533. confirmation from the devil if they would actually listen to it

  534. the right way and know it's just a bunch of lies.

  535. Well, you're not going to be healed.

  536. This is going to take you out. Well, thank you for letting me

  537. know it is guaranteed I am healed.

  538. Woo, because you know how it comes in, they come into the

  539. room, the doctor says, oh man, this is a bad case.

  540. This is bit man. I don't man, I don't know.

  541. You're like thank you Lord for the guarantee.

  542. Now that mean you're ignoring the symptoms.

  543. You're just going to the source. Hallelujah.

  544. And so we see here that the enemy will come and attack your

  545. dinner. You know what else the enemy

  546. will do? Because once you won't succumb

  547. to an identity crisis, then he will always attempt you to

  548. accomplish the purpose of God without God.

  549. That's good. And this was replicated.

  550. What Jesus encountered happened in the garden.

  551. He came into the garden and began asking questions.

  552. What has God said? Because he's got to find out

  553. truth in order to do to fabricate a lie.

  554. And in essence he convinces Adam and Eve that you can fulfill the

  555. purpose God has for your life without him.

  556. You can have dominion without him, you can reign without him.

  557. He's actually holding stuff from you and you would reign better

  558. without him. Oh y'all don't want to hear

  559. this? The devil knows that the devil

  560. knows. Genesis chapter 3.

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  561. He was there when the Lord came down and did not snatch it out

  562. of his hands because he could not legally do that.

  563. He had given dominion to man. Let us make man in our image

  564. according to our likeness, and let them have rule or dominion.

  565. So man lost dominion. God's like the dominion.

  566. The way to rule Earth has now been turned over or handed over

  567. his he just said in Luke chapter 4 to the devil.

    Luke 4 chapter mention

  568. Well, it's man's right to give away what I gave him.

  569. Now the planet God still owns, but how it's managed, how it

  570. function has been given. That dominion has been given to

  571. the father of lies. And man now is separated from

  572. God. He's dead now.

  573. God's in the dilemma as we know, which is really not a dilemma

  574. because he always does what he says he do.

  575. So he comes down before he even done any of this stuff.

  576. He already knew this would occur.

  577. And he says this. He says what I said about man is

  578. going to happen. It is available now.

  579. Whether man ever accepts it or not, that's on him.

  580. But he'll never stand before my throne, knowing that he could

  581. not be back. What?

  582. To the place that I originally sent him, and that is to have

  583. dominion on the earth. Won't happen.

  584. I'm obligated to my word. So what I'm going to do is I'm

  585. sending another man. I'm sending another man.

  586. This man will not come from Adam.

  587. This man will come by the Holy Ghost.

  588. He'll come out of the Virgin Lady.

  589. Humanity will not help this child suit be born, but the Holy

  590. Ghost will impregnate her. And I'll put my own son in that

  591. skin suit, and I'll anoint him like my first Adam, and he'll

  592. function in that dominion. Oh my gosh, Because then he will

  593. conquer you, devil. He is going to crush your head.

  594. He's going to take the dominion you just got.

  595. He's taking it back. And all that time, the devil was

  596. looking for a kid, looking for a child.

  597. This is why they're killing babies constantly all through

  598. the Bible, trying to get rid of this child that's coming, that's

  599. going to take this dominion. He knows it's not God.

  600. It's a man of God coming, anointed of God, and it's going

  601. to take it. He knows.

  602. God is sending his son. My gosh, he's coming after me.

  603. So here's Jesus, anointed of God.

  604. The devil was not there at the baptism people.

  605. He doesn't hear the voice of God, but yet he's getting

  606. rumblings. The devil's not omnipotent, all

  607. knowing we we have put him on a level like he knows everything.

  608. He knows he does not know like God.

  609. So now he's discovering there's another guy out here that people

  610. are professing and thinking he may be the Messiah.

  611. I've been hearing this John the Baptist talk about him and

  612. people saying this something. So we'll just cut this guy off

  613. before he does anything. And so the Spirit brings him to

  614. a place. In essence, the devil really

  615. didn't find Jesus. The Spirit found the devil.

  616. Let's just get this party started now.

  617. I mean, we've had like, the devil's coming after us and, you

  618. know, he can try to pursue, which I'm doing a study on that

  619. at this point, only nine people have had an encounter with Satan

  620. himself. On our planet right now there

  621. are 8.1 billion people and none of them are in this list right

  622. now. My point is, is if the history

  623. book that we have 9 documented cases of where the devil himself

  624. came to attack, please don't flatter yourself to think that

  625. the devil's coming to your house, your flesh number one

  626. will beat you. And if as long as your flesh is

  627. dominating, the devil doesn't even have to send a demon,

  628. another spirit, a familiar spirit and unclean that spent

  629. send anything else. So until you conquer the flesh,

  630. no spirits are coming. Now here's the thing, it doesn't

  631. matter if they come or not because when you know who you

  632. are, doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if Satan shows

  633. up. I just want you to know he's not

  634. running around as much as believers give him credit for in

  635. their testimony services. Man, the devil's been after me.

  636. Probably wasn't him. Probably wasn't him.

  637. In fact, it was not him. Let's just be honest.

  638. It wasn't him, all right. But here we see that Jesus by

  639. the Spirit encounters the devil, of which number 1, he is

  640. challenged in who he is as God's child.

  641. Then #2 he says, what if you are?

  642. I know what you're after. You've come for the dominion.

  643. I'll show it to you. Let me show it all.

  644. Look at all these kingdoms. Look at it now.

  645. Look, we can settle this right now.

  646. I don't know what God's told you you have to do, but we can cut

  647. to the check. I'll give it to you.

  648. I cannot tell you how many believers the perp.

  649. This is why that is so tempting, because the devil taps into

  650. things that you know you're destined for, that you

  651. articulate that destiny that these spirits recognize, and

  652. then all of a sudden, because he's good manipulator, he'll

  653. pull you to deploy these gifts. But not with God.

  654. Happens all the time. Well, I believe God.

  655. God probably is. But you know what?

  656. The Bible is very clear of a process of how God works, what

  657. He does, how He does it. God never puts you to do

  658. something for him and split something else.

  659. God doesn't do that. God multiplies in his Kingdom.

  660. He's not splitting. OK, I'll say that again.

  661. He doesn't move you to your purpose to split.

  662. I heard, just heard one minister, I think it was Pastor

  663. Chase had sent it to me. Somebody was talking about, you

  664. know, these people think that they have these ministries and

  665. then they go and in essence, they just split churches.

  666. And how do they think God is in that?

  667. God splitting his own church up. God's adding to the church

  668. daily. Now a lot of them are being

  669. tempted by the devil saying, oh, you want to do this?

  670. Is this what you? Yeah, let me give it to you.

  671. But guess what? They're giving it to them

  672. without God. This is why Paul had to address

  673. this specifically. He said, look, when I leave,

  674. this is an axe to the church at Ephesus.

  675. He said now when I go some among you are going to come in as

  676. savage wolves. And he was talking to the

  677. church, to the church at Ephesus, the elders, the

  678. leaders, it says some of you are going to come in like savage

  679. world, not sparing the flock. Why?

  680. Because they had selfish ambition drawing people, because

  681. the enemy said you're such a good teacher.

  682. You know what you should let you should start this class.

  683. You know, you should start your own ministry and start your own

  684. teaching. You should do this.

  685. You're like, you know, I do the believe I'm called.

  686. But now guess what you're doing? You're doing it without him and

  687. the enemy wanted this for Jesus. He said, I'll give you the

  688. kingdoms, don't worry about it. But what did Jesus say?

  689. I said, what did Jesus say? It is written.

  690. It is written. I'm only going to do it God's

  691. way. There's only one way to do this

  692. is to do it his way because when Jesus said you shall worship the

  693. Lord your God and serve him, only worship is not singing.

  694. Again, we've said this and it's really a tradition.

  695. We say praise and but it's not. It's just praise people.

  696. It's only praise. A fast song and a slow song are

  697. all praise. Worship literally means to bow

  698. down and submit to now you can worship God by singing because

  699. if God saying sing to me, your worship is the obedience part.

  700. The singing is actually praise. If you take a different position

  701. or different job and you don't sing about it, you're

  702. worshiping. If God told you to take the

  703. other position. Well, I worshiped the Lord

  704. today. How's that?

  705. I quit my job to go start another and singing a song was

  706. not required. So what the devil?

  707. What Jesus is saying here, I will only yield my life to God.

  708. He's the only one I'm in obedience to and I'll serve Him

  709. only. So your plan to accomplish God's

  710. plan is not my plan. I only do His plan.

  711. No shortcuts here, none. Thank you Jesus.

  712. The next thing we learn is you can always resist temptation if

  713. you never forget who you are. And the Bible tells that Jesus

  714. was tempted on all accounts like us.

  715. Yet why? Because he never forgot who he

  716. was. And if you don't forget who you

  717. are in his Kingdom, then it doesn't matter The temptation is

  718. he relevant? You can always resist.

  719. And the last thing we can learn is this is that the Son of God

  720. or the Son of Man always responds from the source of the

  721. written word, not his circumstances or feeling.

  722. He did not say, he says, you know what, why don't you turn

  723. this bread into or this these stones into bread?

  724. He didn't say, jeez, I am starving.

  725. Wow, I'm so hungry. He didn't have a conversation

  726. with the devil about his hunger. He immediately jumped in.

  727. It is written. And this is the problem is that

  728. we have allowed this tradition now to show up in the church

  729. called being real, right? Well, I just got to be real.

  730. And so we talked about how we really feel.

  731. Jesus didn't talk about how he really felt.

  732. He said it is written now. Is he hungry?

  733. Yes. And this is what the church

  734. needs to elevate to. You don't need to know all of my

  735. hard stuff to know I'm going through something because we've

  736. all are going to be tempted. There's none of us that are not

  737. going to have some kind of trial or tribulation.

  738. We're all going to have an issue.

  739. All you need to know is did I win?

  740. And if I'm, if you look at my life, you think, my gosh, it

  741. seems like he never goes through anything.

  742. Well, that's false. But if it seems as if, then that

  743. means I'm saying it is written, it is written, it is written, it

  744. is written. And man, I'll be honest with

  745. you, anytime that I have not done that or I've said, yeah,

  746. it's been tough. You know what?

  747. I, I, I wish I could take those words back because I don't need

  748. you to identify with my humanity.

  749. We need to identify with the word and word alone.

  750. I mean, when are we going to rise as a church and get past

  751. the petty feelings and the common struggles that we know we

  752. all have and just ride to the word?

  753. Why don't we go and say, listen, I got a situation going on in

  754. this particular scripture I'm dealing with that I to overcome.

  755. Can you speak some more of that in my life?

  756. Well, that lets me know you going through something, but I

  757. don't have to talk about what you going through.

  758. And that doesn't make me unreal. I mean, it's more real that I

  759. would identify with God. Then I identify with my flesh,

  760. my hurts and my feelings that I identify that I struggle like

  761. everybody else. I mean, if you ain't figured

  762. that out, I mean, we are in a pathetic place.

  763. What we need to do is be able to get around those that are like,

  764. where are you going? What are you doing?

  765. How you overcome it? What is this?

  766. What's that? If you praise, let's go ahead

  767. and sing. How about a shout?

  768. Let's do this because that's where the victory lies, not in

  769. the complaint struggle. I just got to be real with you.

  770. It's hard, Pastor. You're doing all right.

  771. I'm overcoming. That's all you need to know.

  772. That's all anyone has to know. Well, how can I agree with you

  773. on your overcoming then? Because that's all that matters

  774. is to get to that place, not to Waller.

  775. Jesus's response was It is written, it is written, it is

  776. written, it is written. The only time Jesus started to

  777. show any a little bit of feeling is when he made these comments.

  778. How much longer must I suffer with thee?

  779. Right, because they were talking circumstance, situations,

  780. issues. Really.

  781. You think it's about food. I mean, you're like thinking,

  782. I'm talking to you about real bread here.

  783. I mean, I'm talking about the leaven of the Pharisees, guys.

  784. I mean, how much longer is this going to be that you're not

  785. pressing to keep your thoughts at a higher level?

  786. That's good. The place where victory comes

  787. second. Corinthians 517.

  788. We're closing up with this. Therefore, if anyone is in

  789. Christ, he's a new creature, right?

  790. The old things pass away. Behold all things.

  791. Why we want to talk about old things all the time.

  792. Talking about old things don't make you relevant or make you

  793. real. The real person is the new me,

  794. the new me, the new in Christ. That's the real me that's real.

  795. The other's dead. It's been evicted up out of this

  796. skin suit. Therefore, if anyone is in

  797. Christ, he is a new creature. How many?

  798. You're in Christ. So guess what?

  799. The if is no longer a question for you.

  800. You can just say I am in Christ. Now let's read a couple other

  801. translations real quick. The amplified says it this way.

  802. It says, therefore, if anyone is in Christ that is engrafted and

  803. joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior, he is a new creature,

  804. new, reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit.

  805. The old things, the previous moral and spiritual condition

  806. have passed away. Behold, new things have come

  807. because spiritual awakening has a brings a new life.

  808. The NLV NLT says it this way. This means that anyone who

  809. belongs to Christ has become a new person.

  810. The old life is gone. A new life has begun.

  811. Amen. This temptation of Christ, He

  812. cycled it after he defeated the devil.

  813. The temptation, it was the same issue.

  814. He ran across similar things. Now all of a sudden it's

  815. Pharisees and it's Sadducees. It's the religious same thing,

  816. questioning who he is, questioning his ability, trying

  817. to get him to abandon, but he stayed with it is written, this

  818. is the word, this is the word, and he conquered, went to the

  819. next trial, whatever it was, same thing, nothing different.

  820. He was tempted on multiple occasions through his life to

  821. abandon and then his purpose. But in all times he said it is

  822. written, it is written, it is written.

  823. This is how he overcame. No different with us.

  824. The minute you win a faith battle, there's another

  825. opportunity for you to get somewhere else which the enemy

  826. will attack, attack your identity, try to get you to go

  827. down a purpose without God. But you just have to write and

  828. say it is written, it is written, it is written, and you

  829. overcome. It's a cycle of life, 'cause as

  830. He is, so are we. It's a cycle of life in this

  831. life. But you can reign, you can

  832. overcome every time because you keep your ear to the Spirit and

  833. only say what the Father's saying, and then you'll have

  834. what the Father says. The remedy says it this way.

  835. If anyone who has joined their heart in unity with Christ

  836. receives regeneration of character and has created a new

  837. to be like Christ, the old selfish characters replaced with

  838. a new Christ like character, it would be a fake for me to live

  839. fleshly. It would be a fake for me to

  840. identify with my emotions, flesh, and circumstance because

  841. the new me is in Christ. It's the old me, but they're

  842. dead, so I wouldn't actually be real if I discussed them.

  843. I would be fake because if I'm in Christ then I don't talk that

  844. way. Oh, it's a good word.

  845. All right. First Peter chapter 4, verses 14

    1 Peter 4:14–19

  846. to 19. And we'll bring it home as

  847. obedient children. Come on.

  848. As what? This is what Jesus did.

  849. It's it's required. It is the standard.

  850. It is not subject to negotiation as he is.

  851. And what was He first obedient? What does God love more than

  852. sacrifice? Thank you.

  853. The reason Jesus is our sacrifice is because He was

  854. obedient as obedient children. Do not be conformed to the

  855. former lust which were yours in your ignorance.

  856. But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in

  857. all your behavior, because it is written, it is written, it is

  858. written, you shall be holy. For I'm holy, and He made you

  859. that way. You didn't do this, He did that.

  860. So be what He made you, if you address as Father the One who

  861. impartially judges according to each one's work.

  862. Conduct yourself in fear during the time you stay on the earth.

  863. One translation says reverential fear, knowing that you were not

  864. redeemed with perishable things like silver and gold from your

  865. futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with

  866. the precious blood as of a lamb, unblemished and spotless, the

  867. blood of Christ. You know what the blood of

  868. Christ did for us? It made us a new creature once

  869. we accepted Him as Lord, and then He anointed us, and it made

  870. us to walk in the earth now as He did so the old's gone.

  871. I'm just new and I discover me every time I'm in the Word and I

  872. always win because he always won.
