  1. Genesis chapter 2 it says then the Lord said it is not good for

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  2. man to be alone. I'll make him a helper suitable

  3. for him. I love this movie Home alone.

  4. You know, because it demonstrates this person that

  5. thinks life's better if they were just by themselves only to

  6. find out that life by itself is not what it all was cracked up

  7. to be right, because when you by yourself, there becomes some

  8. challenges that occur when you're alone.

  9. Now look at this passage of Scripture, because the Bible

  10. glues to when you get off by yourself, there's a problem and

  11. it's over here in John. The book of John says it this

  12. way. I believe it's John could be

  13. Luke. Let's see, they're going to put

  14. it up there. Luke chapter 15 verse 3 through

    Luke 15:3–7

  15. 7 it says, and he told them this parable.

  16. He says, what man is among you? If he had 100 sheep right and

  17. lost, what 1 is wandered off alone?

  18. He said he. Does he not leave the 99 in the

  19. open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds

  20. it? You understand the shepherd

  21. realizes that when the sheep are in the family and with the

  22. family they can be protected even if the shepherd's not on

  23. the same field with them. But the one that goes off by

  24. themselves, the shepherd knows they're alone and that's the

  25. problem. And with them being by

  26. themselves, their chances of survival are not good.

  27. It goes on to say this, and when he has found it, he lays it on

  28. his shoulders, rejoicing. Then he comes back and it says,

  29. and when he comes home, he calls together his friends, his

  30. neighbor. Guess what?

  31. He comes home with the sheep that was alone and calls a party

  32. because he doesn't want the sheep to be by itself just with

  33. him. Notice the shepherd doesn't go

  34. and grab the sheep, that's alone and stays alone with sheep, but

  35. comes back and rejoices. And you know he says this, I

  36. have found my sheep which was lost.

  37. I tell you, it's the same way they'll be more joy in heaven

  38. over 1 Sinner who repents than over a 99 righteous person who

  39. need no repentance. What's this tells us?

  40. It tells us that God never intended for us to be here

  41. alone. So let's go back to Genesis

    Genesis 1 chapter mention

  42. chapter 1 when it said, let us make man in our image according

  43. to our likeness and let him rule over the fish of the sea, over

  44. the birds of the sky, all these things, right?

  45. And he says, Adam, you can have all this stuff here.

  46. It's for you. I provided for you.

  47. I even have someone with you. It's not good for you to be

  48. alone. Here's a help meet for you and

  49. us together and we'll populate this planet.

  50. We'll have more and more people. It will just continue to grow

  51. where the seed of man is godly. And I have a relationship with

  52. this whole group of people. But you can't eat from the tree

  53. of the knowledge of good need for the day you eat, you'll be

  54. home alone. You'll be home alone.

  55. And so Can you imagine because God knows everything.

  56. It's not like God was sleeping. It's not like God went on a

  57. vacation to Paris, right? Said I'm going to go check on

  58. France. I'm going to leave the garden

  59. for a little while. Go check on France for a little

  60. bit. No, he was there and you

  61. understand he knew the situation.

  62. But could it have sounded like this, that when Adam ate the

  63. fruit, God said, Adam, Kevin, Kevin, right?

  64. And that's when he comes down, what have you done?

  65. What have you done? I said, what have you done?

  66. What have you done? God never intended us to be home

  67. alone at all, right? Why?

  68. Because they're scary stuff when you're alone.

  69. Look what it says in Ecclesiastes.

  70. Ecclesiastes lets us know this. He says two people are better

  71. than one. When two people work together,

  72. they get work done. The more more work done.

  73. If one fall person falls, the other can reach out and help.

  74. But those who are alone when they fall have no one to help

  75. them. If two people sleep together,

  76. they will be warm. But if a person sleeping alone

  77. will not be warm, it says an enemy might be able to defeat

  78. one person, but two can stand back-to-back to defend each

  79. other. And three people are even

  80. stronger. They are like a rope that has

  81. three parts wrapped together. It's very hard to break.

  82. Are you hearing me? So we know Kevin wanted to be

  83. alone, wanted his family to disappear.

  84. He thought it was amazing. He got a sugar rush, threw a

  85. little brute fabuge on his face, right, brushed his teeth, went

  86. out, but immediately got scared by an old man dragon, a can and

  87. a shovel. He was tough until the old man.

  88. But know this, when you're alone, somebody is coming to

  89. steal. Somebody's coming to steal

  90. because the enemy is looking whom he may devour, and he's

  91. looking for the ones that are home alone.

  92. Yeah. So what's Kevin do when he finds

  93. out that some people are casing the place and he's just a little

  94. kid? You know, the first night he's

  95. like laying under the bed. The next he's like, man, if

  96. they're coming back, what do I do?

  97. And it's like most Christians that are home alone, they have

  98. what I like to call cardboard Christianity.

  99. They like to put up little cardboard figures all through

  100. the house. Turn on the music.

  101. Come on, you know what I'm talking about.

  102. Home alone. They had the little mannequins

  103. at the table. The little figure was going

  104. through, you know, like it. And they're like, oh, I thought

  105. this place was empty. Where did all this people?

  106. Why? Because even the enemy knows

  107. protection lies with the family. The problem is they figure out

  108. that family's not real to them. So you can come into a church

  109. and sit down, but yet still not be part of the family.

  110. Jump in and think the enemy now doesn't know that you're really

  111. not participating. You kind of in and out.

  112. Come when you want to starts to get tough, show up, get in a

  113. seat, try to disguise yourself with everyone like you're part

  114. of something. And he's like, ah, you're a

  115. cardboard Christian. You got your, you got your

  116. worship music on and your cardboard figures dancing around

  117. praising the Lord, but you ain't got a praise in you.

  118. You've not been trained, you're not connected, you're not

  119. connected there. You think I can get and leave

  120. from here and go to the next one?

  121. Because there are many Home alone Christians in many

  122. churches. Hallelujah.

  123. But the enemy have come. He's coming to do what?

  124. To steal first. But when you put up a little

  125. resistance, he'll go further. Because Kevin just wanted to

  126. protect the house, but when he started to try to protect the

  127. house by himself, pulled out his own plans.

  128. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Pulled out his plans.

  129. It's how we going to win. It's how we going to get it.

  130. And it looks like you're going to be successful.

  131. In fact, one of the greatest weapons he had that night was a

  132. tarantula. Now I'm going to give my

  133. precious wife an opportunity to redeem herself.

  134. When we were married 34 years ago, be 35 years this coming up

  135. September 2026. Right now we had 34 years.

  136. We had a lavish honeymoon. We went to Universal first,

  137. spent all of our money there basically, and then got on a

  138. cruise. Now you say it's a cruise.

  139. That's nice. No, it was more like a little

  140. economy tugboat that they give away as prizes.

  141. And when you show up, it's like, oh, this cute that fits in the

  142. sanctuary. It's a very cute little boat.

  143. We got on this boat and we went over to the Bahamas and then we

  144. realized we can't eat at any restaurant.

  145. So we, you know, found a couple that help pay for our taxi ride

  146. to a store where we bought bread and peanut butter and Jelly.

  147. We ate. That was amazing.

  148. But before we ever made it to the Bahamas, we went to

  149. Universal and we went to this prop show on how they use props.

  150. And one particular prop was a machete with a little cut out

  151. that when it hits your neck, it looks like it's in your neck.

  152. So he said, can I get a volunteer?

  153. Let me tell you how how far back this was.

  154. I videoed the whole thing. Now this was 91, so the camera I

  155. was carrying was like a suitcase.

  156. And so my wife, beautiful, I'm awestruck.

  157. This is my wife. She gets up on the stage, he

  158. puts the machete on her neck. They play this music and all of

  159. a sudden he goes scream and she goes extremely anti climatic.

  160. Everyone laughs, but she is in full blown stage fright.

  161. Now, you wouldn't think about that when Apostle Marshall get

  162. up here and blow and go on the platform.

  163. But back then she was like, so they gave her a second chance.

  164. Music, everybody's cheer to her. Come on.

  165. And you think she could have done it.

  166. And she went. So tonight, Apostle Marcy, come

  167. to the platform. Come on, help encourage her.

  168. Come to the platform. I need you to be Marv.

  169. Just one time. Come right here.

  170. Sit down. Please sit.

  171. Thank you. Yes, sit down.

  172. OK. Now I want you to just kind of

  173. lay back. Like, come lay, lay on back.

  174. Very good. We're getting somewhere.

  175. OK. All right.

  176. Are you ready? This is redemption, OK?

  177. You can do it. We believe in you.

  178. We believe in you. OK.

  179. Ready. You got it.

  180. What am I supposed to do? OK.

  181. And you're Marv. What did he do when the transo

  182. got on his face? Yeah, she did it.

  183. Boo, Boo, Boo. I didn't tell you to grab the

  184. mic. I will say this though now just

  185. so you understand that I actually am not the biggest fan

  186. of Home alone one and two. Mine is actually 3.

  187. Yep with the kid with the with the pot chicken pox.

  188. I like that one the best. However, most of y'all are

  189. naysayers so I didn't bring that in tonight.

  190. But I love this particular time again, when Kevin is having to

  191. defend the house 'cause he's home alone and the enemy has

  192. come to steal and to kill. And so in the second one, they

  193. were downstairs and they pulled the doorknob and we hear

  194. something moving and they're like up against the door,

  195. remember? And they're like, what is that?

  196. And then all of a sudden, bam, it goes through the door and

  197. they get hit and Marv says Are you ready?

  198. I'm going to do my impersonation.

  199. That's the sound of a tool chest falling down the stairs.

  200. Right. But I want you to know this

  201. Kevin was never, was never ever alone.

  202. Even though his family wasn't there, someone came by his path

  203. to be with him. And the first one was an old man

  204. and the second one was a bird lady.

  205. And if it was not for those two individuals, no matter how great

  206. his plans were, in both cases he found himself caught by the

  207. thief. Because nobody if you hang out

  208. all by yourself and think you could do this thing without

  209. anybody else, you may escape on various occasions, but

  210. eventually you will get caught. If he had not befriended or that

  211. older gentleman befriended him and made himself available and

  212. took it upon himself to watch on Kevin while his family was not

  213. there. Then when Kevin calls the law

  214. and says they're over at this house and runs over only to get

  215. into the Wet Bandits house they've already hit, to come up

  216. the stairs and to be captured by the Wet Bandits that didn't put

  217. him on the hook of the door. And Harry says I'm going to do

  218. to you what you did to us. And he peels back his little

  219. finger. And if that man had not shown

  220. up, the cops eventually would have gotten there.

  221. But Kevin would have looked like this in the next show, right?

  222. He would have been marked by the one that was coming after him.

  223. Are you hearing me? In the second one, he goes and

  224. it seems like he's victorious, only to slip up.

  225. Because when you try to live life alone, you going to slip up

  226. to find yourself waking up in the hands of the enemy.

  227. And if it had not been for the third lady who was watching

  228. after him that had defended him after he went, oh gross sick,

  229. right, then he would be laying in Central Park when his parents

  230. would have got received news that they found him and mom

  231. never would have found him at the Christmas tree.

  232. Let's go on and look at this next scripture here.

  233. God never intended for us to be alone.

  234. First Corinthians 12/14 through 21 says, but the body is not one

  235. member but many. If the foot says because I'm not

  236. a hand, I'm not a part of the body, it's not for this reason

  237. any of the less they're a part of the body.

  238. If the ear says because I'm not an eye, I'm not a part of the

  239. body, it's not for this reason any of the less a part of the

  240. body, right? If the whole body weren't I,

  241. where would the hearing be? If the whole we're hearing,

  242. where would the sense of smell be?

  243. But God has placed the members, each one of them in the body

  244. just as he desires. If we were all one member, where

  245. would the body be? But now there are many members,

  246. but what 1 body next verse the I cannot say to the hand.

  247. I have no need to you. I'm going to go and do this

  248. thing with God alone. Nor can the head say to defeat.

  249. I have no need of you. Nowhere in Scripture is God

  250. calling you into a relationship with Christ to individually and

  251. independently disciple you alone.

  252. Because God himself knows there's power with the family.

  253. There's power with the family. And it did take Kevin long to

  254. realize this really isn't what I want.

  255. I miss my family. In fact, in the last one, he

  256. says I don't want another present.

  257. I don't want another gift. I don't need anything if I can

  258. just see my mom one more time and even if it's just for a

  259. moment because he understood the value of the relationship that's

  260. with the family. This is why Hebrews chapter 10

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  261. tells us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together

  262. as the habit of some, but encouraging one another.

  263. All the Moors you see the day drawing near again.

  264. The Lord's constantly saying, listen, the family is not just

  265. your natural family, it is the family of God as Jesus.

  266. When he was ministering one day and his mom showed up with his

  267. brothers and sisters and they stopped Jesus in his preaching

  268. to the crowd. It says your mom's here and your

  269. brother and sister, they want to talk to you.

  270. And he turns and says, who is my mom, who's my brothers and my

  271. sisters? It's those who do the will of my

  272. father. In essence, he says this thing's

  273. bigger than just who you naturally are giving birth and

  274. you have a generation that comes from a natural family.

  275. This thing transcends that because God was was too creative

  276. to just have one kind of of type of family or or, or in one

  277. nation. He was too creative for that.

  278. But they all are of the blood. And he's telling us, look, it's

  279. never OK for us on a Sunday morning to wake up and say, man,

  280. think I'll just stay home alone, read by myself.

  281. Because the minute you take these kind of positions and say,

  282. well, I'll just watch this show on my own, you're putting

  283. yourself in a position that the enemy's watching your house and

  284. he knows nobody's there to protect you.

  285. Because this enemy who was the fallen anointed cherub is the

  286. master of deception. And if he can keep you alone,

  287. then he will eventually take you out, take you out.

  288. So tonight, tonight, know this, that God in heaven.

  289. Is still saying Kevin, he's still saying Marcy, he's still

  290. saying John, he's still saying Marissa, he's saying you're not

  291. with me, 'cause when you weren't with him, he was calling your

  292. name. And when you weren't with him,

  293. he was pursuing you. And when you weren't with him,

  294. he sent other members of his family by you to look after you

  295. until you answered and saw him come through the door.

  296. Because he is the door. And you answered that door and

  297. you called on that name. And you came into this family

  298. never to be alone, but to be together, not only now, before

  299. eternity, for eternity. Hallelujah.

  300. God never intended for us to be home alone, and He's moved

  301. heaven and earth to bring you back home in the family.
