  1. We've been talking about reigning faith and hopefully

  2. we're going to close it out tonight.

  3. And. Finish up but we have been

  4. coming out of second Peter on Wednesday nights breaking out

  5. the. 7 qualities that we must. Add.

  6. To our faith. Amen if.

  7. We're going to increase and reign in our faith.

  8. In. In second Peter, we see he talks

  9. about 7 points, qualities, ingredients, companions.

  10. That must be part of our faith walk if we're going to see the

  11. promises of God take place in our lives.

  12. So let's read that real quick because I definitely want to

  13. finish out. And get through some stuff and

  14. we have a lot to talk. About South in second Peter

  15. chapter. One everybody ready to receive.

  16. Hallelujah, Are you ready to receive the engrafted word of

  17. God which is able to save our. Soul.

  18. Amen. So second Peter chapter 1 verses

    2 Peter 1 chapter mention

  19. one through 11. Simon Peter, a bondservant and

  20. apostle of Jesus. Christ.

  21. To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours

  22. by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ, grace

  23. and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of

  24. Jesus our Lord. Seeing here it is that His

  25. divine power we just talked about, that His divine power has

  26. been granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness

  27. through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own

  28. glory and excellence. Verse 4 For by these he has

  29. granted to us his precious and magnificent promises, so that by

  30. them you may become partakers of His divine nature.

  31. Say, I have his divine nature. Hallelujah if you are born.

  32. Again. It's do you have made a

  33. confession with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord that

  34. the minute you did that His divine nature come on was then

  35. put on the inside of you by faith.

  36. And guess what we have the nature of God, Zoe life flowing

  37. in our bodies, Amen. And everything that we need as a

  38. Kingdom citizen in this earth, we get to be able to receive

  39. from him all those promises, everything we need that pertains

  40. to life and to godliness, to life and godliness.

  41. Amen. And this is important because

  42. everybody wants to talk about, yeah, I received the life of

  43. God. But how about godliness?

  44. Right, How about life and godliness, meaning we're going

  45. to live a godly life while we're here in the earth, Amen.

  46. And we're going to talk about that actually tonight.

  47. So anyway, he said we've been partakers of this divine nature,

  48. having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

  49. Now for this very reason, also applying all diligence in your

  50. faith supply and we talked about this word supply and it means to

  51. furnish your faith, to add to your faith.

  52. It also means to bring nourishment to your faith.

  53. So when he says, listen, there is something that we need to add

  54. to our faith. There is a supply and that

  55. supply we see are these seven ingredients of of things that

  56. are very important to help support, minister to and nurse

  57. our faith. And so it's a must.

  58. And he? Tells us that we need to apply

  59. it with all diligence. That means we have to be

  60. intentional about it, right? We have to exert ourself.

  61. The scripture, when you read the word diligent there, it means we

  62. need to strive after these things.

  63. Amen. They're not just going to fall

  64. on us by osmosis. There's some work that we have

  65. to do to participate with God, with our faith, through grace,

  66. Amen. It's not in our own efforts of

  67. striving, but it's through His grace empowering us to be able

  68. to add these qualities to our walk in Him.

  69. Amen. And so he.

  70. Tells us that that word diligence means we need to

  71. endeavor, we need to make. Effort.

  72. And we need to be prompt to study.

  73. It also means labor. Amen.

  74. So if we're going to actually apply these qualities to our

  75. faith, then there's going to have to be some effort to it.

  76. There's going to have to be some work to it.

  77. That means there's labor, there's intention, Amen.

  78. And we're going to have to do it, allowing him to work through

  79. us with the help of the Holy Spirit.

  80. So what does he tell us that we need to add to our faith or

  81. bring a nourishment to our faith?

  82. Moral excellence and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and

  83. in that knowledge, self-control. And in yourself control,

  84. perseverance and in your perseverance, godliness.

  85. This is where we were last week. We stopped at perseverance and

  86. endurance because it's those who will what endure till the end.

  87. So endurance is an important factor in quality to our faith.

  88. Not just that we believe that Jesus died and rose, and yet

  89. we'll go through life and all the things that are happening in

  90. this world and not be able to endure and waltz some things out

  91. that he's saying that endurance is a must to our faith.

  92. Amen. So godliness, and in our

  93. godliness, brotherly kindness, and in our brotherly kindness.

  94. Love. For if these qualities are yours

  95. and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor

  96. unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  97. All right, so we said this, that if these things are not.

  98. Increasing in your. Life.

  99. Then what is it going to do? It's going to render you.

  100. Useless in the Kingdom. Remember the other scripture?

  101. And I didn't even bring this up, but the Holy Ghost just reminded

  102. me of the scriptures that we are to make ourselves a vessel of

  103. honor. We're to make.

  104. Ourselves a vessel of honor. We can be of common use, or we

  105. can be a. Vessel of Honor and a.

  106. Vessel of Honor is going to choose to put these qualities

  107. and add these qualities and these ingredients to our faith.

  108. Amen. And so we have to choose to say,

  109. you know what, I'm going to be a vessel of honor.

  110. I'm not going to just be common of common use.

  111. No, I'm going to be a vessel that is going to be of honor and

  112. I'm going to do whatever it takes to walk in the qualities

  113. that God says. That I can walk into because I

  114. know a. Lot of believers that are

  115. they're not a. Vessel of honor, the way they

  116. live, what comes out of their mouth.

  117. Come on. They're not a vessel of honor.

  118. I don't care if they're born again.

  119. Their behavior, we're going to see what the scripture says is

  120. not proving out their character of life.

  121. Amen. And you know what?

  122. Just like in the natural. We talk about.

  123. Different qualities of life. And you can.

  124. Decide what kind of quality you want of life, even in the.

  125. Natural, even in the natural. You can decide, you know what, I

  126. really don't care about life and I'm going to have a, you know,

  127. broke down mentality and I'm not going to do anything to try to

  128. take care of myself and different things.

  129. And you can live through this life and have a poor quality of

  130. life even in the natural, or you can choose to have a better

  131. quality of life in the natural, work hard, go to school, get a

  132. good education. Come on, see what I'm saying?

  133. Well, it's the same true in the Kingdom of God.

  134. Spiritually, you can choose to not have the good life or the

  135. best quality of life that God says you can have and that

  136. belongs to you, that you have an inheritance.

  137. But you have to choose to take hold of that inheritance and

  138. walk it out and have a better quality of life, even

  139. spiritually. Amen.

  140. And so he says this if they are fruitful.

  141. Then you're going to see. These qualities developing in

  142. your life. Now let's go to verse 9.

  143. I think it is for he who lacks these qualities is blind or

  144. short sighted. And I don't have time to teach

  145. on all this scripture. But having forgotten His

  146. purification from his former sins, therefore, brethren, be

  147. all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and

  148. choosing you. For as long as you practice

  149. these things, those 7 qualities, you will never stumble.

  150. You will never stumble. Hallelujah.

  151. And we talked about what that word means.

  152. You'll never make a mistake, you'll never air.

  153. Come on. That's what that means when he

  154. says you'll never stumble. You'll never make a mistake.

  155. You'll never air Hallelujah. So then he goes on to say verse

  156. 11 for in this way the entrance is into eternal Kingdom of our

  157. Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to

  158. you say I have a supply. Oh Hallelujah.

  159. Now I love reading verse. 10 in the amplified of second Peter

  160. and chapter 1. Therefore, believers be all the

  161. more diligent to make certain about his.

  162. Calling and choosing you be. Sure that your behavior reflects

  163. and confirms your relationship. With God.

  164. So you can say that you know God and have a relationship all day

  165. long, but if your behavior, it is not in alignment with

  166. godliness is what we're getting ready to see.

  167. If it's not in alignment with Scripture, then it does not

  168. confirm to me that you are a child of God.

  169. You can say it all day long, but behavior is going to confirm

  170. that you are a child of God, that you're a child of God

  171. because your behavior not ought to be the way that it was when

  172. you were lost. There has to be a change, right?

  173. And the good thing about the Lord is He will help you.

  174. Change glory to God, you. Cannot become all that God wants

  175. you to become without His help. You can't do it yourself.

  176. He's the only. One that can help you do it

  177. through the power of the Holy. Spirit and you choosing to.

  178. Yield to it so it. Confirms your relationship with

  179. God, your behavior for by doing these things, actively

  180. developing these virtues, these seven ingredients, these

  181. qualities that he just talked about, you will never stumble in

  182. your spiritual growth and will live the life that leads others

  183. away from sin. Hallelujah.

  184. If you're not leading others away from sin by them

  185. recognizing your behavior, then you have to ask the question,

  186. Have I allowed the Lord Come on to?

  187. Help me, help me Jesus, so. We read moral excellence,

  188. knowledge, self-control, temperance, perseverance,

  189. endurance, and now we are on godliness, brotherly kindness.

  190. And. Love.

  191. And what I found about all three of these, godliness, brotherly

  192. kindness and love, is that they're all working together.

  193. They're all working together. And.

  194. So let's read a few scriptures concerning godliness.

  195. Isn't it amazing that he has to mention that just because you've

  196. received the same faith as the apostles, right?

  197. Just because you've received it doesn't mean you're going to

  198. walk into it. And he has to tell you that he

  199. expects you to live godly, A godly life.

  200. Amen. And so.

  201. Here. Let me find my scripture.

  202. I'm on page 23. Yes, here we go, godliness.

  203. What does godliness mean? Godliness when you look it up in

  204. the Greek. Means reverence.

  205. Reverence for the things of God it means.

  206. Respect. For the things of God.

  207. It actually means. Holiness, Holiness and in the.

  208. Context of the fear of the Lord. In the context of the.

  209. Fear of the Lord. Why is this important?

  210. Because if you're going to live a godly, holy, reverent right

  211. life, then that means I'm not going to want to do.

  212. Anything that would go against. His word or go.

  213. Against him because I honor him, because I reverence him, because

  214. he's holy. He's holy.

  215. And so this is what it means to live a godly life.

  216. And just. Because you're born again does

  217. not mean you're automatically godly.

  218. No, what happens is when you get born.

  219. Again, the spirit of the man now becomes alive unto God, and he

  220. puts his. Spirit within you and then.

  221. What does it say now? We're going to have to add.

  222. Some things to our faith and these qualities will what work.

  223. In our life, to produce, to produce.

  224. Holiness to produce godliness within our life.

  225. If we start walking because we talked about what did the

  226. definition of moral excellence be it mean?

  227. It means righteousness. When we got born again, what

  228. does that mean? We were put into a posture of

  229. righteousness before God, but now that righteousness has to

  230. begin to what? Develop and grow.

  231. And when we allow that righteousness, the moral

  232. excellence meaning becoming right in everything that God

  233. says in His word, right standing with him and everything that he

  234. says in his word as a believer, then that will begin to what?

  235. Produce a fruit we see, He tells us, that we are to produce.

  236. Fruits of righteousness because. We don't want to be like the

  237. hypocrites and the Pharisees, come on.

  238. We want to actually produce it in our life.

  239. And if we're going to walk in reigning faith and actually walk

  240. in the dominion and the authority that God has given us

  241. in this life, then we are going to have to allow Him to work

  242. within us so that we can produce these fruits in our life.

  243. Amen. And they will be seen.

  244. In our behavior, this is what the Scriptures talking about.

  245. That'll be seen in our behavior and this is what we're talking

  246. about. Tangible faith.

  247. I have faith in God and I am to live by faith and I'm to walk by

  248. this faith every day. And therefore, what does that

  249. mean? Then I'm going to produce this

  250. lifestyle of faith that's going to be able to be proven and

  251. tangible by the results of my life in the way that I interact

  252. in everything that everything that I am doing.

  253. It's going to be. Tangible, not just oh I'm going

  254. to believe God for that house, how about no, I'm going to

  255. believe God that I am going to have dominion and self-control

  256. over my tongue, right? Amen.

  257. So there's this is what we're talking about having a lifestyle

  258. of faith, living by faith that where it produces within my life

  259. everything that God says that I should be living like and

  260. walking like and everything. No, not just the the material

  261. things, not just the material things, but producing.

  262. How about as? For me and my house, we're going

  263. to serve the Lord and we're not going to have this junk up in

  264. our house because we're godly, because we're holy, because we

  265. fear the Lord. I'm not going to allow these

  266. things in my home. That's just as important in me

  267. believing God for a home, because what good is it if I

  268. have this wonderful home but No Fear of God?

  269. In it and my. Kids are rebellious and they

  270. have all kinds of crazy stuff up in my walls and all kinds of

  271. stuff. No, it's not going to happen

  272. because I live by faith and I'm going to produce the results of

  273. godliness and holiness in my life.

  274. So my we're not going to allow this up in our house.

  275. We're not going to allow those provocative movies and

  276. pornography and, you know, cussing up a storm in movies

  277. and, you know, all these kind of ungodly things.

  278. And we wonder why our kids are struggling.

  279. We're not godly, we're not holy anymore.

  280. We have No Fear of the Lord, no reverence for true things that

  281. are holy. First Timothy, chapter 4.

    1 Timothy 4 chapter mention

  282. And verse 7 through 8. It says this but.

  283. Have nothing to do with. Irreverent.

  284. This is the amplified folklore, silly myths.

  285. On the other hand, discipline. Yourself.

  286. For the purpose of godliness, keeping yourself spiritually fit

  287. for physical training is of some.

  288. Value and we talked. About this before, I know plenty

  289. of people that want to be disciplined and what they eat,

  290. how they work out, all these kind of things, but yet they

  291. have no discipline and reading the word, they have no

  292. discipline and keeping their mouth shut to their spouse, they

  293. have no discipline. Come on, financially they have

  294. no discipline. Living a godly life.

  295. What's the profit? So he says.

  296. But godliness, spiritual training is of value in

  297. everything and in every way since it holds promise for the

  298. press. This.

  299. Present life and for the life to come, godliness.

  300. Holds. Promise.

  301. For this. Life and the life to come

  302. godliness, holiness, reverence, the.

  303. Fear of the Lord, because without it, the scripture says

  304. we won't. See it?

  305. We won't see him. First Timothy chapter 6 and

    1 Timothy 6 chapter mention

  306. verse 3 says this, if anyone. Teaches a different doctrine and

  307. does not. Agree with the sound.

  308. Words of our Lord Jesus. Christ.

  309. And is there plenty of different doctrines that?

  310. Are out there today. That just because you're saved

  311. once saved, always saved, you're good to go.

  312. Doesn't matter what you do, you're under grace.

  313. Go ahead, sin like the world. He's already forgiven you

  314. already. Is that godliness?

  315. Is that holiness? Is that the fear of the Lord

  316. right? And so he says, listen.

  317. And with this doctrine and teaching which is in agreement

  318. with godliness, personal integrity, and upright behavior.

  319. Upright Behavior. First Timothy.

    1 Timothy 6:11

  320. Chapter 6, verse 11. But As for you?

  321. O man of God, flee. From these things, aim at and

  322. pursue righteousness. Do you see that you have to

  323. pursue it and that what we read, you have to be intentional, you

  324. have to be diligent to add these things?

  325. You're going to have to pursue it.

  326. You are going to have to make a decision that I'm going to

  327. pursue godliness as much as I pursue.

  328. The athletic department. And the programs?

  329. I'm going to pursue godliness. As much as I sit and scroll my

  330. phone for two hours, I'm going to pursue godliness.

  331. Come on, as much as I do running around and and doing all the

  332. things I love to do, I'm going. To pursue godliness, whatever

  333. he's. Doing that's what I want to be

  334. doing come on, whatever he's doing, that's what I.

  335. Want to be doing. And so he says, pursue

  336. righteousness, true goodness, moral conformity to the

  337. character of God, godliness, the fear of God, faith, love,

  338. steadfastness and gentleness. And we've discussed all of these

  339. through talking about the different qualities earlier on

  340. our. Wednesday nights now look.

  341. At first Peter chapter. One verse 15 through 16 it says,

  342. But like the holy one who called you.

  343. Be holy yourself in all your conduct.

  344. Be set apart from the world by your world, godly character and

  345. moral. Courage, because it is.

  346. Written, you shall be holy, Set apart.

  347. For I am holy. So we have to choose, just as I

  348. said, and make a decision that I'm going to be a vessel of.

  349. Honor, I'm going to walk in holiness, I'm going to walk in

  350. godliness. I'm going to do it his way.

  351. And I'm going to allow these things to nourish my faith so

  352. that I can be assured that my faith is going to reign in.

  353. Whatever I encounter if. I encounter an accident.

  354. I'm going to have favor because you know what?

  355. I've added supply. To my faith, because I have

  356. character, because I have integrity, because I honor God,

  357. because I sow my seed, because I live.

  358. According to the word. Because I'm in upright standing

  359. with him, because I guard my heart, I don't let a fence in

  360. it. I don't.

  361. I don't. I don't talk about people.

  362. I don't. Gossip.

  363. Come on. I don't do all these things that

  364. would hinder my faith from reigning in every situation

  365. because we're going to see how important.

  366. That is in a few minutes in these scriptures, so in second.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  367. Peter chapter 3 and verse 11. But I would like to give you

  368. all. Homework because I can.

  369. Guarantee you these 13 verses will take less time reading it.

  370. It would only take you 13 minutes of reading these 13

  371. verses that are in Second Peter chapter 3.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  372. That weren't Yeah. Second Peter, chapter 3.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  373. The whole chapter 13 minutes. You should be able to read one

  374. verse right a minute. I mean y'all sit on Instagram

  375. longer than that? And all the funny reels.

  376. I found a funny reel and and I'm going to blame Pastor Lynette

  377. Hagan on this now because yesterday she said to all the

  378. pastors, how do? You, you know.

  379. Have. Fun in ministry, she.

  380. Says what she likes to. Do when she'll get in a

  381. situation where you know. Ministry would be fun.

  382. If it weren't for the. People.

  383. So she has a whole folder. In her phone of the minions.

  384. Y'all know what those are and you know there's all kinds of

  385. reels, funny reels about these minions and she'll just laugh

  386. her head off She'll just say when I need a good laugh I'll

  387. just go through all these minions because.

  388. I don't want to have to be concerned.

  389. About all these problems, right with people and all these.

  390. Things And so anyway, I found these cute little reels.

  391. Now, so I'm going to blame her. With these babe, these AI

  392. babies. Dancing.

  393. Have y'all seen them? Oh.

  394. My gosh, you know, you've seen how they're doing the AI babies

  395. where they can take you. And turn you into.

  396. A little baby and what they always look.

  397. So I you know, I've always wondered, why do babies look so

  398. cute, chunky and fat? But then when you become an

  399. adult, that chunky and fat. Ain't so cute anymore.

  400. All those roles, you know. Anyway, so now they've created

  401. these reels with all. These babies, little babies, I

  402. sent my daughter 1 today and they're dancing.

  403. They've created them to do the Macarena and they're little

  404. babies, you know, like 6 months old anyway, doing the Macarena

  405. but oh, I just needed a good laugh today, so.

  406. That's what I did anyway. So your homework.

  407. I read my homework. The whole chapter of Second

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  408. Peter, chapter 3, I really want y'all to read that because in

  409. context he's talking about in the last days, there's going to

  410. be mockers, there's going to be all kinds of things happening in

  411. the last days. And then he gives us a good.

  412. Warning OK and so. Now we're in verse 11, right?

  413. There's 13 verses I believe. 18 Oh, it's going to take you 18

  414. minutes, OK anyway. So verse 11 says this since all

  415. of these things are to be destroyed in this.

  416. Way what kind of? People ought you to be.

  417. In the meantime. This is what he's saying.

  418. In the meantime, there's all kinds of things in the last days

  419. that are going to be happening. People are going to be mocking

  420. all kinds of things. But he says, in the meantime,

  421. what kind of people ought you be?

  422. As believers. In holy behavior, that is in a

  423. pattern of your daily life that sets you apart as a believer,

  424. and in godliness displaying profound reverence towards our

  425. awesome God. This is what godliness means.

  426. I have such a profound reverence.

  427. I have such a profound fear of the Lord.

  428. I know what he's done for me and where he's brought me out of.

  429. And we've been given, Hebrews says, such a great salvation.

  430. Come on, that we better not slip back.

  431. He tells us. We better not be those that

  432. shrink back from our faith, but if we're diligent to keep adding

  433. these qualities to our faith and guess what's going to happen?

  434. Come on, we are going to be so godly, so holy Hallelujah, that

  435. when people see you, they're going to say, what must I do to

  436. inherit the Kingdom of God? But when half the Christian

  437. world lead lives so ungodly, how are they even recognizing?

  438. Because we have No Fear and reverence for what's.

  439. Holy anymore? So he.

  440. Goes on to say number. 5 Brotherly affection, Brotherly

  441. love, brotherly love because we've heard great faith teaching

  442. that faith worketh by love. And I'm going to tell you, a lot

  443. of our faith isn't working because of this right here.

  444. Because the way you say. That you're loving has nothing

  445. that I can see to do with scripture.

  446. Romans chapter 12 and verse. 10 Be kindly affectionate. 1 To

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  447. another with brotherly love in honor, in honor preferring one

  448. another in honor preferring one another.

  449. This is what brotherly affection and love is.

  450. That it doesn't matter what. You do to me.

  451. I honor. You because the.

  452. Scripture tells me to honor. You and I'm going to walk in

  453. love. So you know what?

  454. That means that means I. Don't run my mouth about you.

  455. First Thessalonians because when you really are a person of

  456. honor, you won't do that. But you know.

  457. What if we don't honor God in the 1st?

  458. Place. How in the world do you think

  459. we're supposed to honor one another and prefer one another?

  460. So he says in First Thessalonians chapter.

  461. Four and verses. 9 and 10 now. Concerning brotherly.

  462. Love. You have no need for anyone to

  463. write you, for you have been personally taught by God to love

  464. one another. Personally taught by God to

  465. love. One another.

  466. That is to have an unselfish concern for others.

  467. And to do things for their benefit, no matter.

  468. How you are being treated, you are going to prefer them, you're

  469. going to honor them and you're going to do what's best for

  470. them. That means I it does not matter

  471. what's happening to me, I'm going to do what's right.

  472. And to do what right is right is hard in the natural.

  473. And in the flesh. But to do what's right with the

  474. help of the Lord. Is easy.

  475. And you know what he says? He says my burden is easy.

  476. Yoke is easy. My burden is light.

  477. So no matter what's going on, we can choose to do.

  478. What's? Right.

  479. And you know what? The Bible tells us that.

  480. We should do what's right. We're going to read the

  481. scripture in the minute we. Do not get to choose.

  482. To not love one another. He says it's.

  483. Actually a commandment. It's not a choice.

  484. And how many Christians are? Making it a choice whether or

  485. not they're going to honor someone, whether or not they're

  486. going to. Write love.

  487. Them the way the. Scripture says to love them.

  488. And prefer them. So he tells us this.

  489. He says this is the amplified right verse 10 for indeed you

  490. already do practice it. Towards all the believers.

  491. Throughout Macedonia by actively displaying your love and your

  492. concern for them. But we urge you, brothers and

  493. sisters. That you excel in this matter

  494. more and more. So just 'cause you've done it

  495. one time. Doesn't mean you're done, he

  496. says. You can do better, you can excel

  497. more and. Love towards your brother.

  498. And brotherly affection. And come on.

  499. Showing forth. Unselfish things when it comes

  500. to preferring and honoring one another.

  501. You can do a better job. You're doing.

  502. Good. But guess what?

  503. There's more, and that's what the Scripture talks about.

  504. When you read, you know where he talks about in Ephesians, I

  505. believe it is where, you know, there's depths and heights and

  506. widths of love. Just when you thought, man, I

  507. have walked in love so many times, guess what he's going to

  508. say? Yeah, But there's another depth.

  509. There's another level. There's another level of love.

  510. Another level and he says that there is more for you to excel

  511. in and first Peter chapter 1 and verse 22 it says this seeing you

    1 Peter 1 chapter mention

  512. have. Purified your souls in obeying

  513. the truth through the Spirit. See this is this is the answer

  514. right here. You've purified your souls in

  515. obeying the truth, which is the word.

  516. That's why he tells us we must Romans 12/1.

  517. And two, we must renew our minds, come on to the Word daily

  518. so that when you get into a situation, the word is there,

  519. the truth is there. And the truth is, yes, this may

  520. be affecting me. This may be a situation that I'm

  521. going through, but the truth is I have to align myself up with

  522. what the word of God says. And there is another depth and

  523. another width and another length of love that obviously He wants

  524. me to dive into. And so I've got to choose by the

  525. Holy Spirit through the Spirit, right to an unto and unfeigned

  526. love of the brethren. See that you love one another

  527. with a pure heart, fervently, not just saying Oh.

  528. I love you. No, but I from a pure heart, I

  529. love you and I honor you. And you know how you can tell

  530. you really honor something? Because there's money backing

  531. honor. Because what you will give to

  532. shows you. Honor.

  533. You can't even give to the church when he says the tithe.

  534. You don't honor God. So.

  535. Remember, reigning faith is about.

  536. Maturing. Say I'm maturing.

  537. I'm going to. Choose to mature.

  538. First Peter chapter 2 verse 17 says this show.

    1 Peter 2:17

  539. Respect for all. People and treat them honorably

  540. for all people. You're going to treat them.

  541. Honorably. I don't care who they are,

  542. that's. Why you see a homeless?

  543. Person come up in here, we honor them.

  544. They deserve God to be set free. I don't care what they're.

  545. Wearing what they're dressed like.

  546. How they smell because they're. Honorable because he said it

  547. not. Because the world.

  548. Discounts and man. Show respect for all.

  549. People treat them honorably. Love the brotherhood of

  550. believers we're talking about brotherly love.

  551. We're talking about brotherly affection, he says.

  552. You must love the brotherhood. You have to love these people in

  553. this house, your family, the family of God that has the same

  554. DNA as you. We always talk about God is no

  555. respecter of person. There's neither Jew nor Greek

  556. nor Gentile. I don't care how anybody looks.

  557. But yet when you come in here, you won't even honor them.

  558. You'd rather spend time with people out here.

  559. First things is first is you've got to honor the people in the

  560. House of God. I don't care what you do outside

  561. these walls. If you're not doing it in here,

  562. you're dishonorable. You're dishonorable.

  563. What scripture? Says so, he says love.

  564. The brotherhood of believers fear God and honor the.

  565. King because faith does not work without love, and that was

  566. Galatians chapter 5 and verse 6. Faith worketh by love.

    Galatians 5 chapter mention

  567. And that is love in all accounts with humanity, not just loving

  568. God. It's.

  569. Not just about loving God. See, they use their faith.

  570. Oh yeah, I love. God I love God my.

  571. Faith is working. I'm going to have that new boat

  572. I'm going to have. No how?

  573. About loving your brother, because without it you're not

  574. going to. Operate in reigning faith.

  575. So he says this, and John let's. Look at the connection.

  576. Here in John chapter 13 and. Verses 34 through 35 it says I

    John 13 chapter mention

  577. am giving you a new commandment. That's why I said love is not.

  578. A choice. It is a commandment and you can

  579. choose to disobey his commands. And you can choose to rebel.

  580. Against his commands. But it doesn't matter, because

  581. you will stand before a holy God.

  582. Come on one day and your knee will bow and it will submit, and

  583. He will bring these things to light.

  584. And so he says in. First John or not first John,

  585. John 13, he says this. I'm giving you this new

  586. commandment that you love one another just as I have loved

  587. you. Because see, that brotherly

  588. love, that brotherly kindness was phileo love.

  589. But now here he's moved over into agape love.

  590. He's moved over into agape here. When he says charity, one

  591. translation in the King James right says charity, no, this is

  592. love and this is agape love. This is the God kind of love.

  593. And he says, listen, we need to love one another.

  594. Just as I have loved you, so you 2 are to love one another.

  595. And by this, by what? By us loving one another in

  596. brotherly love. And affection and kindness and.

  597. Loving him the way that he loved us, he says.

  598. Listen, this is how everyone will know that you're truly my

  599. disciple. Everyone will know.

  600. That you're truly my disciple because I actually see a

  601. demonstration of a love. For one another, not just for

  602. me, not just for me, but for one another, for one another.

  603. And he says, listen, this is how.

  604. People are going to. Truly know you're my disciples

  605. if you have love. Unselfish concern for one

  606. another. That means you're going to be

  607. more concerned about this. Person and what?

  608. They need than you are about your.

  609. You don't have to be. The what?

  610. Well, what about me? Why do I have to go to them and

  611. ask them to forgive me? Why?

  612. Because he actually commanded you to.

  613. And it doesn't matter if they change, if they receive it, if.

  614. Come on. If if they respond properly or

  615. if they slap you in the. Face No.

  616. You are accountable to God and to his Word and it was a

  617. commandment. So therefore I don't care the

  618. response, I'm going to choose to do what he.

  619. Says. No matter what, no matter how it

  620. makes me feel, no matter if I should have had to do it or if

  621. I. Shouldn't have had to do it.

  622. I'm going to do it because I'm commanded to.

  623. Because I'm commanded to. Simple.

  624. You know why? Because I love God.

  625. You know why? Because I fear him.

  626. You know why? Because I've allowed things to

  627. be added. To my faith, moral excellence,

  628. righteousness, what? Was the one thing Martin Luther?

  629. I kept reading this. Quote that kept coming through.

  630. You know, Martin Luther King says when you choose to do right

  631. because it's the right thing to do, you choose to do right

  632. because it's the right thing to do, according to.

  633. Scripture, no matter what has happened to you.

  634. Because if you're concerned about what happened to you,

  635. guess. What?

  636. You're in victim mode and I'm going to tell you I refuse to be

  637. a victim. He set me free from a victim

  638. mentality. But if I.

  639. Choose to hold. On.

  640. To things. Then I'm falling right back into

  641. victim mode. I didn't deserve this.

  642. They treated me like this. What did I ever do to that?

  643. It does. Not.

  644. Matter. The only thing that matters is

  645. what God's Word has said to. You.

  646. And I'm going to. Choose to do his word above

  647. anything else and I'm going to. Choose to do it.

  648. You know what? With all of my heart.

  649. With a. Pure heart, not oh, just watch

  650. this. I'm going to tell him I'm going

  651. to forgive him and I'm going to. Can't wait to see them grovel.

  652. That's not a pure heart, is it? It's not a pure heart, No.

  653. We have to. Choose to do it with a pure

  654. heart. Romans chapter 12 and verse 9.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  655. Love is to be sincere. It's to be sincere.

  656. You know what that means? That means.

  657. You can get hurt again because love is vulnerable.

  658. It means you can. When you're truly loving from a

  659. pure heart, that means it can happen again.

  660. And guess what else? There's another depth, another

  661. length, another width for me to dive into.

  662. Because where else you going to go?

  663. Love is to be sincere and active, the real thing, without

  664. guile and hypocrisy. Hate what is evil, detest all

  665. ungodliness. Look at this, do not tolerate

  666. wickedness and hold tightly to what is good.

  667. When you choose not to obey God's Word, you're actually

  668. choosing wickedness. Yes, you as a believer can

  669. choose to not do what is right. Romans 1310 Love does no wrong

  670. to his neighbor. It never hurts anyone.

  671. Is that our heart that we don't want to hurt anyone?

  672. I would never want to say something that would hurt

  673. someone. That is not my heart.

  674. To be vicious, to be vile. And we have to ask ourselves is

  675. that our heart would never want that.

  676. It does no wrong to its neighbor.

  677. It never hurts anyone. Therefore, unselfish love is the

  678. fulfillment of the law. It's the fulfillment of the law.

  679. Yes, I live by the law of love, the law of love.

  680. Because if I want to walk in reigning faith and see the

  681. tangibleness of God's life through my life and see the

  682. things that God has promised for each and every one of us to be

  683. able to walk into, we're going to have to choose love.

  684. And we're going to have to make that something that we are in a

  685. constant place of supplying to our faith.

  686. Not just saying I have faith, but actually growing in the

  687. depths of love. Growing in the depths of love.

  688. Galatians chapter 5 and verse 13.

    Galatians 5 chapter mention

  689. For you, my brothers, we're called to freedom.

  690. But don't let your freedom become an opportunity for the

  691. sinful nature, for worldliness, for selfishness.

  692. Remember, we couldn't help but be selfish when we were lost,

  693. because that's all the nature was in us.

  694. A lustful, selfish nature. But we now have.

  695. That divine nature and Romans. 55 Says what now?

  696. The love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts.

  697. And so his. Love now is living on the inside

  698. of us. Come on.

  699. And he's letting us know, listen, we are going to have to

  700. walk this walk of faith by putting that supply of love in

  701. its place constantly, constantly.

  702. So he says, but through love. What does he say serve?

  703. And seek the. Best for others serve and seek.

  704. The best for others serve others we know.

  705. What does he say? Bless.

  706. Your enemies do good to those who despitefully use you.

  707. And guess what I'm going to do? I'm going to serve them anyway.

  708. That's what he's talking about. And can we?

  709. Really do that with a pure heart.

  710. With a pure motive of I just am going to obey God no matter

  711. what. I'm going to serve them anyway.

  712. I'm going to love them anyway. I'm going to bless them anyway.

  713. I'm going to actually honor them and.

  714. Honor is not just by. Words It's by action.

  715. Action it's by behavior. Amen.

  716. It's by. You serving, so there's.

  717. Action there. It's not just.

  718. Saying it, but are you willing to go above and beyond and to

  719. serve? That person who has despitefully

  720. used you, you see that? It's what it says.

  721. Ephesians chapter 5. We've got one more scripture

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  722. after this and verse. 2. And walk continually in love.

  723. That is value one another. Practice.

  724. Empathy and compassion unselfishly seeking.

  725. The best for others, just as Christ also loved.

  726. You and gave himself. Up for us as an offering and

  727. sacrifice to God, slain for you so that it.

  728. Became a sweet fragrance. Walk continually in love

  729. continually. This should be the.

  730. Highest goal of a believer's life that love his love.

  731. Comes before anything, before anything, His love and all that

  732. I'm doing, it has to be the motivating factor of my life

  733. that I love him. And because I love him, I love

  734. the brethren and I'm going to choose to supply my faith

  735. continually with the love of God.

  736. Last Scripture, 1st Corinthians 16 and 14.

  737. Let everything you do be done in love, motivated and inspired by

  738. God's love for us. So everything I do, I must do it

  739. motivated. By God's love.

  740. Because you know what? Because He loved me.

  741. And who am I to not be able to forgive my brethren, walk in

  742. love with them unselfishly, and choose to say I love you even in

  743. the midst of where I feel I didn't deserve it?

  744. Because you know who else didn't deserve it?

  745. Jesus. And they mocked him, they

  746. scourged Him, they beat him, they slandered him, called him

  747. the devil. What a slap in the face, The Son

  748. of God being called the devil. Wow.

  749. And you know what the scripture says in Matthew?

  750. The greatest sermon. He actually said, blessed are

  751. you when you are being persecuted and talked about

  752. unjustly because Jesus. There was no reason other than

  753. he was the Son of God. Blessed are you and are you

  754. choose going to still choose to love the brethren.

  755. Forgive so that your faith will not be hindered, that your faith

  756. will reign. Above.

  757. Everything that you're going through, every situation, every

  758. circumstance, because I've allowed God to add these

  759. ingredients to my faith year after year, time after time,

  760. learning and knowing that when I do this, I won't stumble, I

  761. won't error, I won't make a mistake because I'm choosing to

  762. walk in love.
