  1. First Peter, chapter 2, we'll start in verse 9 to 11.

    1 Peter 2 chapter mention

  2. It says this, but you are chosen race.

  3. Come on, who we talking about this?

  4. Who's that? Who's the chosen race we are?

  5. You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a

  6. people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the

  7. excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into a

  8. marvelous light. Aren't you glad you've been

  9. called out? For you once were not a people,

  10. but now you are the people of God.

  11. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

  12. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from

  13. fleshly lusts which wage war against your soul.

  14. So here Peter is reminding us as believers, he said, now listen,

  15. we were away, but we're a different way now.

  16. We were not with God, but now we're with God.

  17. We were in a domain that was rebellious to God, but now we're

  18. in God's Kingdom. We, we were not even a people,

  19. but now we are people and we're chosen of God.

  20. Now what we have to do is we have to make sure then we

  21. abstain. Meaning we've been given the

  22. power to now stop what used to control us when we were in the

  23. domain of darkness, the things of the flesh or the lusts of the

  24. flesh, right? Those things ruled us and we had

  25. no weapon against it. But now that we're born of God,

  26. in the Spirit of God lives on the inside of us, we can

  27. abstain. Now, what does abstain mean?

  28. It's a word called abstinence. Abstain.

  29. It means don't. Do you understand?

  30. There would be no sexual diseases if abstinence was being

  31. practiced prior to marriage and when then when you were married,

  32. husband, wife, male, female, according to Scripture, that is

  33. a undefiled bed. And you know what?

  34. There would never be any sex sexually transmitted disease

  35. ever, right? Isn't that amazing?

  36. One generation could come and say we're going to wipe out

  37. sexually transmitted disease, We're just going to abstain.

  38. Hallelujah. So you have to, he tells us to

  39. abstain from this. That doesn't mean to dabble,

  40. right? 10 percent, 90% abstain, you

  41. know, don't do. But 10%, you know, it's like

  42. what my aunt told my mom one time and she was wrong because

  43. when I was a younger teenager she was saying.

  44. Now she said now Peggy, look, it's OK if he looks as long as

  45. he doesn't touch. No, it's not OK to look 'cause

  46. looking gets you lusting and looking goes to touching, right?

  47. Looking will go to touching it always moves that way all right,

  48. and so it just says abstain. We are to maintain purity.

  49. Now what does this mean the fleshly lest they wage war where

  50. against our soul they're not waging in our spirit because our

  51. spirit is born of God. We are the righteousness of God

  52. in Christ. It's within our soul realm that

  53. this war takes place, and in order for us to make sure that

  54. we maintain a pure soul, continue to purify it, wash it

  55. with a watering of the word, we have to abstain from some things

  56. of which we have the power of by the Holy Ghost to do so through

  57. the grace of God as we trust Him according to His Word.

  58. So the things of the world are waging war against our minds.

  59. The good news is, is that we can win that battle.

  60. I said we can win that battle. That is really good news for the

  61. believer. We can win that war, Hallelujah.

  62. We do not have to just suffer like the rest and know we're

  63. going to heaven when we die. No, we can win that war.

  64. Have Peace of Mind. Oh my gosh, real Peace of Mind.

  65. So in first Peter chapter 4, he goes on to say verses one

    1 Peter 4 chapter mention

  66. through 2. He says this.

  67. Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm

  68. yourself also with the same. We're not yelling at you because

  69. they're all caps. OK?

  70. I'm like, why is it all caps? Mine are not all caps, but

  71. sometimes in my translation, if it's referring to an Old

  72. Testament scripture, it'll put in old caps, you know, So

  73. obviously when I was reading the the other one, I was thinking of

  74. that, but they're all, all, all caps.

  75. Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm

  76. yourself also with the same purpose, because he who has

  77. suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest

  78. of your time in the flesh. No longer for the lust of men,

  79. but for what? The will of God.

  80. So before I was born of God, I lived in my body for the lust of

  81. men. I was dead in my trespasses of

  82. sin. It the the lust, the pride of

  83. life, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes.

  84. All those things control my life.

  85. They were actually part of my nature.

  86. I was rebellious to God. But God being rich in his mercy,

  87. while I was still a Sinner, He died for me.

  88. He gave me the opportunity to come over into His Kingdom, of

  89. which I did. And that old spirit man that

  90. could not obey God, did not want to obey God, was evicted out of

  91. my skin, suit, this body or flesh.

  92. And all of a sudden on the inside, a brand new creature in

  93. Christ who is recreated or created in the image of the king

  94. and made righteous, came inside, attached itself to my soul, of

  95. which the Holy Spirit came in as well and bears witness with that

  96. spirit. Now you're a child of God.

  97. You function different, you think different, you perform

  98. different, you behave differently.

  99. And I'm going to train the soul realm that was disconnected or

  100. was connected to a dead spirit and could not.

  101. We have hooked up a live spirit unto God and now we're going to

  102. go through and renew this mind. We are going to push out all the

  103. junk that would keep you in bondage because it now has no

  104. power over you ever again. So the Bible tells us here in

  105. first Peter chapter 4 that Jesus, when he emptied himself

    1 Peter 4 chapter mention

  106. of his glory in heaven and came into a skin suit or the flesh of

  107. man, he functioned as a man anointed of God.

  108. Now Jesus was a man who knew no sin, yet He was tempted on all

  109. accounts like we are. So in essence, when it says he

  110. suffered in the flesh, that means that Jesus was tempted,

  111. like all of us have been tempted.

  112. And most of us, well really all of us have fallen to temptation

  113. and gone into sin for all of it. For we've all sinned and fallen

  114. short of the glory of God. Jesus, however, didn't.

  115. He never sinned. He suffered because the

  116. temptation came and it came against him at such a level that

  117. he had to by faith stay with his Spirit and the anointing of God

  118. on his life. Cast down those thoughts, those

  119. actions, those behaviors that he never dealt with in heaven, but

  120. when he yielded to only it is written and following the Holy

  121. Ghost he sees from sin. Why because he did not allow the

  122. temptations to overtake him and there's a suffering there.

  123. Not only is there a suffering of the temptation to sin, but then

  124. there's the suffering of the people as well because you

  125. understand in heaven Jesus is glorified he they are talking

  126. only well about him. It is well with his soul there.

  127. I mean he is honored people bow to him.

  128. I mean, he is, he is amazing. However, whatever on planet

  129. earth, he was despised, right? And he's being despised knowing.

  130. But I'm here to help. You're calling me a devil?

  131. You think I cheat, Swindle. I mean, it's not even my nature.

  132. I'm not doing anything like you, right?

  133. What did Jesus say a couple times She was on his side.

  134. How much longer must I suffer with thee?

  135. You know, put up with your lack of faith, your inability to

  136. recognize me for who I am. You know your stubbornness to

  137. not yield and submit to my word. I mean, how much long?

  138. But you know what? I do it as long as the Father

  139. has me, because I'm suffering too.

  140. But I'll do it without sin. So here Jesus suffered in the

  141. flesh, yet ceased from sin. And he's telling us here in

  142. first Peter, that we because we're living in our bodies, but

  143. we are never to live for the lust of men, but we are here

  144. only to live for the will of God, which tells us that I'm not

  145. even connected to what man's doing.

  146. I'm so disconnected from it. And we all as a church, as we

  147. continue to progress before the return of Jesus, we want to make

  148. sure our actions, our attitude are always connected to an

  149. eternal purpose, not just a, well, I may die, you know, by

  150. the time I'm 8090, a hundred years old, you know, and we're

  151. kind of gauging how we live life based upon a time frame that is,

  152. that is nothing compared to the eternal scope of our life, the

  153. eternal scope of mind. And I'll be honest with you, I

  154. could say some things that some people just think is crazy, but

  155. you know, the kingdom's just different than the world.

  156. It's just different. Now, I, we can say, you know

  157. what, there are things in life that we do.

  158. That's not a problem as long as it's not putting God second, as

  159. long as his agenda is not the most important agenda.

  160. OK, but yet we we think that you know, and how we're let you know

  161. the way we live in as as U.S. citizens, people 500 years never

  162. thought like this. I mean it wasn't even in their

  163. psyche. The thing and we've not evolved

  164. to such a a place of enlightenment.

  165. I mean, you know, sins abounding.

  166. I mean, honestly, sin is worse on the planet today than it was

  167. 500 years ago. Now what do I mean by that?

  168. I'm just saying that God came to a point at the flood of Noah

  169. that he's like, I regret I made man.

  170. It has gotten so bad here that I'm going to destroy it with a

  171. flood. Well, you understand when Jesus

  172. is coming back, he's coming back to take the Church of which

  173. that's, you know, according to scholars, 7 year period before

  174. he comes back again. And during that period the wrath

  175. of God will be poured out. Well, why is the wrath of God

  176. being poured out? Then something's going on in the

  177. earth that at this time God's not doing it, but he's going to

  178. do it then. So things are happening on the

  179. planet that is worse. So that God's wrath is like, I

  180. cannot be merciful anymore. I must act on my word concerning

  181. what I do, what I do for those who are disobedient.

  182. Are you hearing me? OK, So we need to make sure

  183. we're like, OK, let's continue to live in the grace of God that

  184. He's given us, and let's be ever more present to be doing His

  185. will in our lives every day, every day, OK.

  186. And so let's turn over to Galatians chapter 5.

    Galatians 5 chapter mention

  187. Galatians chapter 5, Look what it says here, verses 16 to 18 it

    Galatians 5 chapter mention

  188. says, but I say walk by the Spirit and you will not carry

  189. out the desires of the flesh. So let me read, let me finish

  190. this passage and then I'll explain some things.

  191. For the flesh sets its desires against the spirit and the

  192. spirit against this flesh, for they are in opposition to one

  193. another so that you may not do the things that you please.

  194. Just the beginning part of 18 says, but it but if you are led

  195. by the spirit or are we supposed to be led by the spirit.

  196. Now that is if it's a conditional statement which

  197. tells us that just because you're born again does not mean

  198. you are being led by the Spirit. So the new birth experience

  199. alone does not mean you are being led by the Spirit.

  200. It gives you access to the spirit.

  201. It allow it gives you the ability so that the spirit

  202. within you can train you to follow him.

  203. But you don't. You do not have to.

  204. OK, I'll give you a case in point.

  205. All right, Let's do an example. Simon Says Anybody ever heard

  206. that before? Let's play a little.

  207. Simon Says All right. Simon Says, Raise your right

  208. hand. All right, Nick's finally done

  209. it. He's he's about to prove my

  210. point already. Right.

  211. Right. Simon Says raise your right

  212. hand. Simon Says Put your right hand

  213. down. Simon Says Put your left hand

  214. up. Simon Says, Put your left hand

  215. down. Simon Says.

  216. Raise your right hand again. Wave your white hand.

  217. Ah, now you know you weren't supposed to do that, so you're

  218. out. Let's just be honest.

  219. Come on, come on. Just come on and repent.

  220. Just put your hand down. You're out of the game.

  221. OK, All right, now I'm going to do Simon Says again.

  222. Put your hands down, everybody. I'm going to say.

  223. Simon Says, put your right hand up.

  224. And I want all of you to put your left hand up.

  225. OK, well, I said, I'm going to say Simon Says put your right

  226. hand up. But I want all of you to

  227. actually put your left hand up. OK, Simon Says put your right

  228. hand up. Does anybody have their right

  229. hand up, actually? Oh, that's fine.

  230. I knew there would be someone. Sure.

  231. I got it. Because he's like, I refuse to

  232. disobey. Look at the rest of these

  233. rebellious people in the room. Thank you, son.

  234. I appreciate it. Because the rest of them are

  235. rebellious. And when I give an altar call,

  236. you can stay in your seat, but the rest need to come down

  237. tonight. OK?

  238. I'm not Simon, people. OK, yeah, this is really.

  239. I'm not Simon. But I was able to convince you

  240. to do something against Simon and everyone did it but my son

  241. Sean. And y'all thought he was being

  242. rebellious. But this is what it's like when

  243. you actually follow God and not the world because the majority

  244. can go in a different direction and one say, you know, I heard

  245. what he said, but I'm going to stay with Simon because the rest

  246. of the world has already been given permission to raise the

  247. left hand. Even though Simon's saying raise

  248. the right by some other authority or somewhere,

  249. something which means God cannot make you follow his spirit just

  250. because you're alive to His spirit.

  251. So it is a lie to believe that because I'm born again, I only

  252. follow the Spirit. Paul would not have written to

  253. the Galatian church if being born again was the only

  254. qualification to be able to be led by the Spirit.

  255. He's actually telling the church, do not go and live the

  256. old nature that you were delivered from because you're

  257. still, you can if you choose, but it's never what God

  258. intended. God did not save you and because

  259. there was nothing you could do to be saved, so now there's

  260. nothing you can do to stay saved.

  261. That is not scriptural. That is not scriptural.

  262. We'll talk about these things later because I think as we get

  263. closer to the return of Christ, I'm just going to have to get

  264. off into more and more stuff that is unfortunately

  265. controversy only to tradition, but not to a believer who

  266. actually takes time and reads the scripture.

  267. Because if you do, it won't be controversial.

  268. You'd be like, well, that makes that's perfect sense, but the

  269. religious will hate it. I'm telling you they'll hate it.

  270. So here we see that he's telling us, look, your flesh and your

  271. spirit are in opposition. These are born again believers.

  272. He's talking to a church. He's saying, listen, your flesh

  273. is fighting against the Spirit of God in you and your spirit

  274. that's made of God. So here's the thing, Jesus has

  275. already stripped the devil of all of his power.

  276. So the devil is not your problem.

  277. He's not your problem. Your biggest opposition in the

  278. earth is your flesh. Now I'm not going to tell you

  279. that you cannot arrive to a place in the Spirit, meaning

  280. growing in the Spirit, being led by the Spirit, having revelation

  281. of by the Spirit concerning things of God, and being used of

  282. God in great clarity of His Kingdom, that the devil himself

  283. will show up to try to destroy your life.

  284. However, he is defeated and he can make your life miserable

  285. because he has plenty of people following his voice, even

  286. believers, even believers because they've not learned how

  287. to discern the voice of the Lord.

  288. They're still being led by how they feel.

  289. I remember a particular believer, Pastor Mike, and I met

  290. with them and they were just beside themselves, that I wasn't

  291. saying we're going to heaven forever.

  292. And so we pulled the Scripture out, read the last two chapters

  293. of the book. New Heaven, New Earth, Jerusalem

  294. coming down to the earth, God being on planet earth within the

  295. New Jerusalem. I mean, what's this word?

  296. EARTH? How do you say that word?

  297. Because it, it doesn't say heaven.

  298. I mean, this individual stepped back and said, I, you know, I

  299. just believe it to be heaven on earth.

  300. I said I, I don't disagree that it's heaven on earth, but it's

  301. still earth. It's still earth. 98% of all the

  302. church does not say this. I mean, I, so I mean, what, what

  303. am I supposed to do? Side with the religious

  304. tradition or read the actual back of the book instead of

  305. saying, I've read the back of the book and we won and we'd

  306. have actually read it, right? And again, what I said, what's

  307. it matter? You'll be with Jesus.

  308. I mean, really, what are you, what are we doing right now?

  309. If Jesus is here, what's the problem?

  310. And if he calls it Earth, what's the problem?

  311. But religious tradition, we want to hold on to certain things

  312. that we think we're right the whole time and sometimes find

  313. out it was wrong. And the reason why we hold on to

  314. stuff because we weren't studiers anyway.

  315. Are you hearing me? So again, your biggest challenge

  316. in life or your biggest opposition is your flesh.

  317. But here's great news. You can just, you can beat your

  318. flesh. No problem.

  319. This is really not an issue because the spirit in you is

  320. greater than your old nature or the flesh that is always

  321. opposing the spirit. It's not the devil coming after

  322. you. It's just your old nature, your

  323. old flesh, the things of the world that you used to practice,

  324. but now you've been delivered from Hallelujah.

  325. So let's look at this verse 17 from some other translations

  326. real quick. The amplified says it this way.

  327. For the sinful nature has this desire which is opposed to the

  328. Spirit, and the desire of the Spirit opposes the sinful

  329. nature. For these two, the sinful nature

  330. and the Spirit are in direct opposition to each other

  331. continually in conflict so that you as believers do not always

  332. do whatever good thing you want to do because the Bible tells us

  333. there's a way that seems right to a man.

  334. So again, you, it can seem right, but it's not.

  335. I'll, I'll give you a great example of my own personal life

  336. where I was dead wrong. I used to dip tobacco crazy.

  337. My dad smoked and you know, he had major health issues as a

  338. result of that and die. So you would think that, you

  339. know, when you have a father who smoked and drank and they die as

  340. a result of those things, you would want to abstain from

  341. those. But you know, the same spirits,

  342. you know, and things in the world are your flesh that kind

  343. of attack you and pull on you, you know.

  344. So instead of smoking them, I decided I would just dip it.

  345. Stupidity, right? OK.

  346. And it is. So, you know, I used to do that.

  347. And the day I realized I was addicted, I was in Gainesville,

  348. FL at on Archer Rd. about to turn left onto 34th St. and it

  349. was early in the morning. I think it's about 7:20.

  350. I had to be at work at 7:30. And I was in my truck popping my

  351. dip can like this. And I looked over and somebody

  352. pulled out a cigarette and was lighting it.

  353. And I said, man, you know, you got to be addicted to smoking

  354. the cigarette to be smoking this early.

  355. And then it hit me. It didn't hit me that I had cans

  356. from a full size GMC truck that was from the one side of my seat

  357. all the way to the other side of the bent seat holding up to 12

  358. inch subwoofers that was in a box behind the seat.

  359. I mean, they were full butt to butt.

  360. I mean, that should be enough to let you know you have a problem.

  361. You have a problem. OK, so I realized then I have an

  362. issue. I have an issue.

  363. Met my wife, decided I probably should quit all this because

  364. we're going to follow God, but then saved me going to church.

  365. Want to be an example, you know of God had a friend I used to

  366. run with when I was saved, but live like the world.

  367. He never would have known I was born of God because the things

  368. he did, I did right. You know, I had the same goofy

  369. theology. Well, at least when I die, I go

  370. to heaven. Craziness.

  371. Not helping him one bit. My Jesus has no power because he

  372. lives this way. I'm living like him and we think

  373. we're having a great old time. But now I'm changed.

  374. I've decided I'm following Jesus.

  375. Well, he worked. We ended up working together in

  376. the guard and you know, so I'm wanting to witness.

  377. And so here's the thought. I don't want him to think I'm

  378. better than him. Ain't that a good thought?

  379. That's a good thought, right? That's a good thought.

  380. I don't even think I'm better than him.

  381. So I would go out to talk with him and if he pulled out the can

  382. to dip, I would take one. Why?

  383. I don't want him to think I'm better because this dipping is

  384. not going to put me in hell. You know?

  385. I just want to be relatable. See it sounds right, sounds

  386. good, but yet all the while I'm like this is stupid.

  387. I'm wrong. I sure not telling my wife

  388. brushing teeth before you get off work right because I'm being

  389. relatable. I mean surely she would

  390. understand. I just want to bond so that we

  391. can get him right with God. And honestly, my thinking was

  392. not, I wish I could dip again. My thinking was I don't want him

  393. to think I'm better than him now.

  394. But you know what? I God made me better.

  395. God delivered me and God wants him better and God wants to

  396. deliver him. So why am I going back to

  397. relate? Because if I go back, he's like,

  398. you're not different. And why would I follow your

  399. Jesus? I mean, I had to repent and tell

  400. him to forgive me and, and had to do all kinds of stuff.

  401. I've done it to some of my schoolmates, you know, that I

  402. graduated from, you know, I say mates, they're not friends

  403. because if they were friends, they would show up here.

  404. What Eric did anyway, They're acquaintances.

  405. But I remember calling and talking to some through the

  406. years and I'm like, I'm sorry, what for What?

  407. I was not good in high school. I was a bad witness.

  408. And they were like, Earl, no, not you.

  409. You were great guy. No, I was not.

  410. I was evil in my actions. My fruit was bad.

  411. I did not live right. I need you to forgive me.

  412. Yeah. Because popularity meant

  413. nothing. I was wrong.

  414. And So what he's saying here is that these things are in

  415. conflict. Why?

  416. Because there are times you'll want to relate for the desire to

  417. see them changed. But if you're not trained in

  418. righteousness, you'll compromise righteousness and the Spirit is

  419. in opposition to those things and say, wait, you don't have to

  420. go that. No, no, no, you don't have to do

  421. that. Don't do that.

  422. I'm going to be honest with you. The world wants you to not do

  423. what they're doing now. They're not going to tell you

  424. that because it eases their guilt when you participate in

  425. things that they're guilty of. And what you don't understand is

  426. when you ease guilt by participating in things that

  427. aren't what the Spirit would have you do, then you actually

  428. create a stumbling block. Say Amen.

  429. Anyway, this is a very fun, great message.

  430. I need more smiles. Hallelujah, Amen.

  431. I need somebody maybe to run a couple of times because this is

  432. really good stuff, right? You know, woe is me.

  433. And again, if Reverend Randy's got you all jacked up from the

  434. communion, you know, just repent now, OK?

  435. I mean, he let he's let you suffer long enough.

  436. Hallelujah. The God's Word translation says

  437. this. What your corrupt nature wants

  438. is contrary to what your spiritual nature wants.

  439. And what your spiritual nature wants is contrary to what your

  440. corrupt nature wants. They are opposed to each other.

  441. As a result, you don't always do what you intended.

  442. Hallelujah. Aren't you glad you can talk to

  443. the Spirit about how to handle every situation?

  444. Glory to God. The remedy says it this way.

  445. For the selfish nature desires to promote self at the expense

  446. of everyone and everything else. And this is exactly opposite of

  447. the spirit of love, as the spirit of love desires to

  448. promote the good of everyone else at the expense of self or

  449. two self. The selfish nature and the

  450. spirit of love are diametrically opposed to each other.

  451. So if you follow the spirit of love, you will no longer do what

  452. your selfish nature wants. Hallelujah.

  453. I'm so glad I've been born of the Spirit of God and the Holy

  454. Ghost lives in me. Amen.

  455. Amen. Because I'm renewing my mind.

  456. See, the opposition is trying to wage war against my soul.

  457. But the good news is, is I can't protect my mind.

  458. Helmet of salvation is a protection for me.

  459. I've been saved. That's one of your first ways to

  460. combat the selfish nature or things of the flesh is I've been

  461. saved. I'm a different person.

  462. I've been blood bulb, blood washed.

  463. I'm alive unto God and Jesus would not do these things.

  464. So I'm not doing these things because I'm of his nature.

  465. I'm saved. The message says it this way,

  466. for there is a root of sinful interest in us that is at odds

  467. with a free spirit. Now that doesn't mean that your

  468. spirit man has sin in it. We have to be very clear here.

  469. This is not a yin and Yang stuff.

  470. When everything that's good, there's a little bit of eve on

  471. everything that's even there's a little bit of good.

  472. No, in your spirit that's created in Christ is only good

  473. period where residual of sinful nature exists is unrenewed mind

  474. and then your body that's attached to the things of the

  475. world. But your spirit is so alive and

  476. so powerful and has God on the inside of you that these other

  477. two aspects of who you are can even compete or hold a candle in

  478. opposition to the Spirit. When you yield to it and let it

  479. have its work, it dominates. It dominates and the church is

  480. to dominate. The spirit within you is a

  481. dominant spirit. It is not.

  482. It doesn't cower to the flesh. If flesh rises up, it puts it

  483. right up underneath its heel immediately, No problem.

  484. We just have to yield. If really, if we were like

  485. looking at this from a natural perspective, we in our soul and

  486. body are down there trying to pull the foot of the spirit off

  487. the flesh and release it. I mean, we're fighting against

  488. the spirit to let this thing of flesh come back on us.

  489. That's what we're doing. But we don't do this.

  490. Hallelujah. We're different.

  491. Amen. Galatians 524 and 25 says this.

  492. He says now those who belong to the to Christ Jesus have

  493. crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

  494. If you live by the Spirit, let us also walk, walk by the

  495. Spirit. Now, living and walking are two

  496. different things because he's saying now if conditional

  497. statement, you're born again, since you're born again, are you

  498. allowing this to happen? You're deciding are you doing

  499. this? If you're living by the spirit,

  500. if you're saying that, then your walk, meaning the fruit of your

  501. life is going to demonstrate that.

  502. My wife and I were having a conversation about something

  503. earlier today and she had made a comment and I said that's just

  504. not a true statement. Now, not that she was.

  505. She was given an analogy of something I said.

  506. That's just not a true statement when someone says that because

  507. their walk is not what they say. So, you know, I said, sometimes

  508. you just got to call it for what it is.

  509. Sometimes people say, well, I, I mean, you're like, you're saying

  510. something, there's no walk in it.

  511. Don't say something that there's no walk in it.

  512. Because if you're living by the Spirit, you're walking by it.

  513. Because anyone can say they're living by it and yet not walk by

  514. it. But you can't walk by it unless

  515. you're living by it. You're not walking by the Spirit

  516. by accident. It's intentional.

  517. Isn't that right? It's intentional.

  518. You're like intentionally saying I am doing this.

  519. You make a conscious decision, you cast that down, you take on

  520. God's thought, and then you act on it.

  521. Intentional, so you know, don't blow me around.

  522. Don't blow your hot breath on me with words that your actions

  523. aren't following right. Hallelujah, say, well, let's see

  524. some evidence. That's why John the Baptist

  525. says, why don't you keep alive, have a life in keeping with

  526. repentance. You're telling me that you've

  527. repented? Well, how come I'm not seeing

  528. it? Amen.

  529. And listen, God is the least fooled.

  530. He's fooled how many times? Zero.

  531. He knows it all. Hallelujah.

  532. Now love believes the best, but Love's not ignorant either.

  533. Thank you Jesus. So crucify the flesh.

  534. Again. This is the opposition we have.

  535. It lets us know now those who belong to Christ Jesus have

  536. crucified, which means we have the power to crucify the flesh.

  537. The flesh doesn't have the power to crucify the spirit within us.

  538. We have the power to crucify the flesh.

  539. We're the ones functioning with the power.

  540. That's just such good news. This is such good news because

  541. it eradicates this idea of sin consciousness in in us as

  542. believers because you're like, sin has no dominion on me.

  543. It cannot dominate me. The law of sin and death is not

  544. for me. I've been delivered.

  545. I have the dominant nature, and that which opposes me is a

  546. conquered thing in Christ. And I have because I'm in Him.

  547. And so we're going to dominate the flesh.

  548. So I'm not a sorry Sinner saved by grace.

  549. I was a Sinner. I've been saved by grace through

  550. faith, and now I'm a believer that dominates my flesh.

  551. I dominate, I crucify it, I do not let it gain an advantage at

  552. all. Praise the Lord, I said.

  553. Praise the Lord. Galatians 220 says it this way.

  554. I've been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but

  555. Christ lives where in me and the life I now live in the flesh,

  556. which is your body. I live by faith in the Son of

  557. God who gave who loved me and gave himself up for me.

  558. Look what it says in Romans 1314.

  559. These are some awesome things because there's an opposition

  560. when it comes to our flesh. The devil's really not our

  561. problem. Although he can mount an attack

  562. and amount and and the attack the enemy can put against you is

  563. a lot is different than the carnal attack.

  564. No different. They are way different.

  565. How? And the reason they're different

  566. is because the spirit uses carnal man and he's, you know,

  567. very tactful and he has them lined up to where it's like,

  568. will we ever get a break here? However, carnal people, it's

  569. different. They don't have the same

  570. tenacity, but the enemy, he knows he's defeated and he has

  571. great tenacity because he knows his time is short.

  572. But even him can only go so long because if the Father somewhere

  573. along the line, Jesus himself is like 40 days.

  574. Is it bro, we're done. And it said he left him and look

  575. for another opportunity later on of which he infiltrated his own

  576. staff in order to bring this. But Jesus was not ignorant of

  577. that. He wasn't ignorant of the fact,

  578. however he did that. But he was able to say we're

  579. done and we're finished. And that tack was so bad that

  580. angels manifested to be able to minister to Jesus in that

  581. moment. Hallelujah.

  582. And none of you've had an attack that angels have shown up, that

  583. you're aware that they're there to help you.

  584. Because most of us don't get past the opposition of the

  585. flesh. Hallelujah.

  586. But not here, not at Anchor Faith Church.

  587. We dominate the flesh. This is why we've said for years

  588. we are not a flesh friendly church.

  589. And that's not being negative, that's being rise to the

  590. occasion of your spiritual walk. You should, honestly, you should

  591. feel extremely uncomfortable if you're living fleshly sitting

  592. here, if you are comfortable. I'm not preaching the word of

  593. God, right? And it's not a condemnation,

  594. it's that the Spirit and the flesh are in opposition.

  595. So if I'm not preaching the Spirit of God in his Word,

  596. anything you're going got going on in the flesh should be should

  597. be feeling attacked and it and the Lord wants to attack it.

  598. The Lord wants to crucify it. The Lord wants it beat down.

  599. He's not he's not friendly to it.

  600. Didn't I say now I know you've had a hard day, brother, I know

  601. that hurts. I know that hurts.

  602. That hurts. Let's talk about the hurt for a

  603. while. Let's just talk about it.

  604. How's that make you feel? And then what do we do?

  605. I feel so much better because we talked about it.

  606. Well, you just talked about what you feel, but you never had an

  607. answer because Jesus say, how's that make you feel?

  608. You want to quit feeling that because we can stop that feeling

  609. right now. We can move to a different

  610. feeling, a feeling of the spirit, a feeling of freedom, a

  611. feeling of no more bondage, a feeling of you know it's, it's

  612. no longer a part of your life. It cease to be a part of you.

  613. It's not your identity. The reason why many people do

  614. not openly crucify their flesh is because they've identified

  615. with it too much. It's it is their identity.

  616. Amen. So again, we're not a flesh

  617. friendly church now we are friendly church, but we're not

  618. friendly to the things that the Spirit is in opposition to say,

  619. Amen. I wish I had some born again

  620. people in here. I tell you, I need some of my

  621. leaders to learn how to stand up in these moments and like bring

  622. encouragement to those that are just here in the church.

  623. I mean, listen, we got to do some training.

  624. I need all my staff to shout, stand up and shout right now.

  625. Seriously, I need y'all stand up, shout.

  626. Thank you. I mean seriously.

  627. I mean, have you not crucified your flesh?

  628. You cannot sit around on your booty when there's people trying

  629. to overcome it and you're not giving any doggone testimonies

  630. that has happened in your life. So I'll correct you and let them

  631. know that this is unacceptable behavior for someone who's

  632. overcome the flesh as much as you have and not have a better

  633. testimony. But sit down on your booty.

  634. So let's fix that. Hallelujah.

  635. Now you can be seated. Thank you, man.

  636. We, we have people that are on the verge.

  637. I mean, they are between two places and if we don't have some

  638. kind of demonstration of victory, why are we not?

  639. I mean, again, they'll just go back to the drugs, go back to

  640. the women, go back to the men, because you sit there and go

  641. glory to God. I mean, are you religiously vein

  642. washed now 'cause we've heard it for so long?

  643. No, don't let it happen again. I mean, let's give God praise.

  644. I mean, I'm not here to lecture you.

  645. I'm here for you to participate in a service where God has

  646. delivered us and set us free. This is not a lecture time.

  647. This is participation time. This is where we get ready with

  648. the Spirit. Because if you would have this

  649. kind of response on Sundays when guests are here, they'd be like,

  650. what in the world do these people have, right?

  651. Hallelujah. Thank you, glory to God.

  652. Now again, if I was a coach and I just made you run another wind

  653. Sprint, you know, it'd be like you'd hate it, but you'd be more

  654. conditioned at the end of the fourth quarter.

  655. You'd be like, thank you coach, so you can thank me on the way

  656. out. Hallelujah.

  657. All right, so Romans 141314 says, but put on the Lord Jesus

  658. Christ and make no provision for the flesh in regards to its

  659. lust. May none 0 come on.

  660. So who has the power to make no provision?

  661. You can't say man, man, it's tough.

  662. It's what it's not tough. You have the power to say no,

  663. no, no, no, we ain't putting that on.

  664. No, no, no, we ain't letting that no provision.

  665. No, I'm not letting you around. I'm not doing this.

  666. I'm shutting that down. I'm doing this.

  667. I'm doing that, yeah. I have deleted so many apps at

  668. times, especially through social media, that because you know,

  669. there's just algorithms out there and you would you're going

  670. through and the next thing you know, things are popping up and

  671. you're like, what is this? So you know what I do delete, I

  672. can keep it off for a while and then all of a sudden something

  673. I've saved on that particular app, I need to go back and get a

  674. recipe so I can go. But guess what?

  675. All of a sudden it's not bothering me.

  676. But then all of a sudden it'll try to drop another little and

  677. you're like, I make no provision for you.

  678. Delete no provision 0 because you're in a world that is

  679. attacking you. There's always going to,

  680. especially men. You're things are always going

  681. to be vying for your eyeballs, but you got to be able to learn

  682. how to say I make no provision for that.

  683. I make no provision for that. I'll cut that off.

  684. I cut that off, I'll do this. I don't understand why a man

  685. would want to even entertain alcohol.

  686. Because you want to get your mind messed up, then your eyes

  687. are gonna get messed up. I mean, you'll slow down all

  688. kinds of senses. I remember 1 particular guy long

  689. time ago, marriage wasn't great, but he said I desire the finer

  690. things in life. Next thing you know, found out

  691. the guy was in Las Vegas. Love these big cigars.

  692. He loved this, you know, fancy bourbons and, and, and vodkas.

  693. And I'm like, and he's supposed to be a believer.

  694. The fine, the fine. These are not the finer things.

  695. There's nothing fine about that. I can show you where it's

  696. destroyed lives. It always starts with a sip.

  697. But when you make no provision, I mean, don't come up here and

  698. preach to me about moderation. Don't come up in here and try to

  699. preach to me about I understand that in the whole grand scheme

  700. of things, because of the blood of Jesus, that if you get drunk

  701. one night that and you died on the way home, that it's all of a

  702. sudden you're not going to heaven, I understand.

  703. But that's not the living that God wanted us to live.

  704. We were delivered, set free, something different.

  705. I mean, I don't want the Lord to say, well, Pastor Earl, you're a

  706. little early. If you wouldn't have been drunk,

  707. you wouldn't have died, son. I mean, I don't want a prison

  708. ministry because I killed somebody while I was drunk.

  709. Yeah, it didn't make me go to hell.

  710. I get it. But now I'm having a confined

  711. ministry just because I wouldn't put myself with no make no

  712. provision. I say Amen.

  713. Come on, say Amen. Glory to God.

  714. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  715. So, you know, we just we beat the, the opposition.

  716. We are we put on the Lord Jesus. You cannot make no provision for

  717. the flesh without first putting on 'cause if you're not putting

  718. on the Lord, you are naked when you go out to battle.

  719. The Bible tells us to put on the full armor of God.

  720. So you put on the armor you put on Christ.

  721. That way you make no provision for nothing else.

  722. That's how you do it. And if you're here today and

  723. say, man, I've got some flesh challenges, guess what, repent.

  724. It's so awesome that God will will let you repent, wants you

  725. to repent. It's telling you to repent and

  726. then we'll look at you and like, I don't even know you did it and

  727. you'll be like you don't even know I did it.

  728. I don't even know you did it. It's done.

  729. It's like you've never done it before.

  730. What are we even talking about right now because I've removed

  731. your sin as far as the east is from the West.

  732. I've thrown them into the sea of forgetfulness.

  733. I don't even know what you're talking about right now.

  734. Closes the blood. All I know is that you're the

  735. righteous of God in Christ now. You're more than a conqueror

  736. Now, the next obstacle you have, don't worry about it.

  737. You'll be overwhelmingly conquer.

  738. I'm going to cause you to triumph in Christ.

  739. The next time temptation comes, you're going to dominate that

  740. thing. You're going to dominate it.

  741. You're going to know how to beat it because I'm in you.

  742. I train you. I'm with you.

  743. You got this thing. I said.

  744. You got this thing. Whoa.

  745. Glory to God, you have it. Thank you, Jesus.

  746. I mean, close with this. I'm not even going to finish

  747. this whole message. I'll just stop right here in

  748. Ephesians 4. Ephesians 422 to 25 says, Is

  749. that in reference to your former manner of life?

  750. Oh Jesus, you lay aside the old self who lays it aside.

  751. Do not tell me that you can't help it.

  752. Don't tell me you can't help it. That's not true.

  753. And quit saying the devil's after me.

  754. Devil's not after you. If you can't lay yourself, if

  755. you can't lay your old self, the devil doesn't have to show up at

  756. your house. He doesn't have to know your

  757. name. In fact, he's not omnipresent

  758. and he's not omniscient. He's not all knowing nor all

  759. present. I mean Christianity has put the

  760. devil as if he's everywhere. He cannot be after someone in

  761. Saint Louis and simultaneously be after someone in Florida

  762. because he is 1 being that cannot be in two locations and

  763. he's not all knowing. I'm just to be honest, he don't

  764. even know your name. I do not believe the devil even

  765. knows your name. Doesn't have to.

  766. He's done such a work in the flesh.

  767. Simple man has such a work by itself.

  768. But God says I'm here to fix it all.

  769. I'll give you a new spirit then. I'm empowering you now to clean

  770. the rest up. You can do it.

  771. And all you have to do here, it is in reference to your former

  772. manner of life. You lay aside the old self,

  773. which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of

  774. deceit. It's deceiving you that it's OK

  775. to do what you used to do and God's OK with it.

  776. It's deceiving you and that you be renewed in the spirit of your

  777. mind and you put on the new self.

  778. Now that's not in the Spirit because God gave you that spirit

  779. that is putting on the new self in your mind.

  780. That's you waking up every day and saying I'm a child of God,

  781. my daddy owns the planet and heaven.

  782. My dad created everything. I'm of his nature, I'm of his

  783. being. And my father and my brother

  784. Jesus have never sinned and neither has the Holy Ghost.

  785. They are perfect in nature and in love and in righteousness.

  786. They are pure. They are holy and there it and

  787. that is in me and I put it on. I put on the new self, which in

  788. the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and

  789. holiness of truth. Therefore, laying aside

  790. falsehood, speak truth. Each one of you with his

  791. neighbor for we are members of one another.

  792. This is why as the body, we're like, hey, hey, what's going on,

  793. man? That's not you.

  794. Instead of going, don't judge me, no one's judging you.

  795. We want to be in opposition to the flesh.

  796. That's in opposition to your spirit.

  797. Because if I'm talking to you about something of the flesh,

  798. I'm not talking to you anyway, because you're born of God.

  799. That's not the real you. That's the old you.

  800. As David Mackie would say, the old man, that's the old man, and

  801. the old man's dead. The old man has no right to you.

  802. And you know what? Not only do you have a new

  803. spirit and the Holy Spirit, but you actually do have the

  804. willpower connected to those to dominate the flesh and the old

  805. way of living. Wow, isn't that awesome?

  806. That is such good news. Praise the Lord, because you

  807. know what I'm telling you? This generation coming up that

  808. we do not have tons of in here, Generation Gen.

  809. Z, they're tired of fake, honestly, you know what they're

  810. actually tired of? They're tired of religious

  811. meaning. I'm right with God, but I still

  812. live like they're like really. I mean, I don't know that I want

  813. that there's, there is something in them saying there's got to be

  814. something better. And you know what?

  815. That's in that generation because that generation is, is

  816. is one of the largest generations now on the planet

  817. that God put in the earth for the end times.

  818. And he's put a generation in the end times that is not going to

  819. allow the flesh to rule them. So they are already opposed to

  820. places where the flesh still rule believers.

  821. And the problem is they can't always find these locations on

  822. medias because those types of places typically are not having

  823. the platforms, they're not being pushed by the principal power of

  824. the air. They, they're not preaching in a

  825. way that there's popularity to where flesh is OK in the room.

  826. So they've got to seek it. But that's good because if

  827. they'll come seek it, they'll find.

  828. And when they walk in here, we don't want to say we've

  829. abdicated our spiritual walk. We want them to say I have found

  830. the group. I have found them It's and you

  831. know what I I don't mind that they're skeptical.

  832. I don't mind that they sit 4 minutes ago.

  833. Let's just see if these people are the real deal.

  834. Something's different here, You know, they, they, they ain't

  835. acting like, you know, living like the rest of the world, you

  836. know, and going to heaven when you die is OK, Dad, there's

  837. something different about these people.

  838. And I'm looking for something that really looks like a holy

  839. God. And you're just like, just let's

  840. just be bold. Like Paul, look at him and say,

  841. because I'm going to look at one right now.

  842. Imitate me as I imitate Christ. Now, most believers aren't going

  843. to make that confession. Imitate me as I imitate Christ

  844. because to a younger generation, you want to see what God just

  845. watch me because I'm dead to myself and you watch me get in

  846. conflict. You're going to see how God

  847. would respond. Just stick around.

  848. You're going to find out. In fact, there's things that's

  849. going to be happening that you won't even know about because I

  850. won't even let it be known. And then when you find out later

  851. on by the Holy Ghost or something, a manifest that the

  852. Lord says this person was going through this and this attack

  853. happened. You're going to be like what?

  854. What? And you're going to know we were

  855. authentic.
