Hallelujah, Daniel chapter 2 verse 27 to 45.
-
So if you know where I'm going, you ought to have a great shout
-
with you. OK?
-
Daniel answered before the king and said As for the mystery
-
about which the king has acquired, neither wise men,
-
right conjurors, magicians or diviners are able to declare it
-
to the king. However, there is a God in
-
heaven who reveals mysteries and he has made known to King
-
Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days.
-
This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on
-
your bed. Before I read verse 29 to bring
-
you up to speed, I don't want to assume everyone knows these are
-
not Bible stories. These are historical accounts
-
that actually happened. These people actually lived on
-
the planet. There's nothing within the
-
context of scripture that are actual stories.
-
They are not fairy tales. These are real people who lived
-
on the planet. These are actual bibliographies
-
of individual lives that Natural History can prove they existed
-
in the planet. So we are taking a history
-
lesson concerning a king that was over an empire called the
-
Babylonian Empire. And this Babylonian Empire was
-
literally just outside of modern day Baghdad.
-
Yet the Babylonian Empire went through all of our modern day
-
Iraq and into Iran. And there's things going on in
-
Iran today. Are you hearing me?
-
And so as a result of that, there's things that are
-
happening here that are being prophesied about things
-
happening later. And so Daniel's letting them
-
know that the there's a God in heaven that has revealed some
-
things. Now Nebuchadnezzar has a dream.
-
And because he's a liar, he's a manipulator, and he's disturbed
-
by this dream. He goes to his wise men and he
-
says, I've had a dream, I need you to interpret it.
-
And he wants accuracy, but he does not want people to lie to
-
him. And because he won't know, he
-
makes it very difficult. Or in in essence, he said, I
-
have a foolproof plan to make sure I get an accurate
-
interpretation. So he says, I need you to tell
-
me the dream. And the interpretation of which
-
his wise men said no king has ever asked this of a wise man.
-
You need to tell us the dream, and after you tell us the dream,
-
then we will give you the interpretation, he says.
-
I know you're stolen, he says. You'll get together, you'll come
-
up with a story, you'll collaborate.
-
All of you are going to agree on it, and I'm not going to know if
-
it's right or not. So you are either going to tell
-
me the dream and the interpretation.
-
If you do not every wise man will die in my Kingdom.
-
Once the king decrees it, it's done.
-
So he decreed. Well Daniel gets a knock on the
-
door from the executioner and cause Daniel was one of his wise
-
men along with his friends and he said I've come to arrest you,
-
you're going to be executed. He said what for?
-
Well the king had a dream. None of the wise men can
-
interpret it and so they have to know the dream and interpret a
-
dream that way. He knows it's accurate.
-
No one's doing it. So we're taking you to jail to
-
have you killed. He said tell the king I got it.
-
Now that's faith. Now what was he building his
-
faith on? Not on the king, but on his God
-
because he knew that my God is going to deliver us.
-
I have a delivering God. I may be in Babylon, I may be in
-
captivity, but we are going to get out of this place and I'm
-
not going to stay here forever. And I believe God will keep a
-
remnant and I'm in covenant with that God.
-
So we going to pray and ask God to give us this dream.
-
He said you let him know I got it and that's before he got it.
-
So he's goes to, as God says, we have to pray.
-
So they're praying and the Lord reveals to Daniel the dream and
-
the interpretation. And this is where we pick up in
-
Daniel chapter 2. Because if Daniel does not
Daniel 2 chapter mention
-
fulfill it this way, he, his friends and everyone else will
-
be executed. The only thing that saves the
-
wise men from death is if you can tell him the dream and
-
interpret it. So verse 29, it says, As for
-
you, O King, wow, on your bed your thoughts turn to what would
-
take place in the future, safe future, and he who reveals
-
mysteries has made known to you what will take place.
-
But As for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me by any
-
wisdom residing in me more than any other living man, but for
-
the purpose of making the interpretation known to the King
-
and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
-
You, O King, were looking, and behold, there was a single great
-
statue. That statue was large, of
-
extraordinary splendor, and was standing in front of you, and
-
its appearance was awesome. The head of that statue was made
-
of gold, fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its
-
belly, its thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of
-
iron and partly of clay. You continue looking on looking
-
until a stone was cut without hands, and it struck the statue
-
on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them.
-
Then the iron and the clay and the bronze and the silver and
-
the gold were crushed all at the same time, and became like
-
chaffed from the summer threshing floor, and the wind
-
carried them away, Glory to God, so that not a trace, not a
-
trace, not a trace of them was found, but the stone, say the
-
stone, but the stone that struck the statue became a great
-
mountain and filled the whole earth.
-
Wow, glory to God, filled the hole, filled the hole, filled
-
the hole, filled the whole earth, glory to God.
-
This was the dream, right? And now we will tell us
-
interpretation before the king. Well, can you see King
-
Nebuchadnezzar right now on his throne?
-
He just leaned to the front of his seat.
-
It's like he was there. He knows it.
-
And now he's hanging on every word he says.
-
You, O king, he said, are the king of kings.
-
Now notice that's little K of little K's.
-
It's not big K, not capital K, not the king, just a king.
-
He's the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the
-
Kingdom the power and strength and glory.
-
And whatever the sons of men, and wherever the sons of men
-
dwell, or of the beasts of the field or of the birds of the
-
sky, He has given them into your hands and calls you to rule over
-
them. You are the head of gold.
-
After you there will rise another.
-
What? Another what?
-
Come on. Another what?
-
Another Kingdom inferior to you. Then another.
-
Then, then another third Kingdom of bronze, which will rule over
-
all the earth. Then there will be a fourth
-
Kingdom as strong as iron in so much as iron crushes and
-
shatters all things. So like iron that breaks in
-
pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces.
-
In that you saw the feet and toes partly of pottery, clay,
-
and partly of iron. It will be divided.
-
It will be a divided Kingdom, but it will have in it the
-
toughness of iron, in so much as you saw the iron mixed with
-
common clay. As the toes of the feet are
-
partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the Kingdom
-
will be strong and part of it will be brittle.
-
And in that you saw the iron mix with common clay.
-
They will combine with one another in the seed of men, but
-
they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not
-
combine with pottery. In the days of those kings, the
-
king of heaven or the God of heaven will set up a what?
-
What will he do? He'll set up a Kingdom which
-
will never be destroyed, which will never be destroyed, and
-
that Kingdom will not be left for another people.
-
It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will
-
itself endure. How long?
-
Come on how long come on how long in so much as you saw that
-
a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands and it
-
crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the
-
gold. The great God has made known to
-
the king what will take place in the what in the what in the
-
future. So the dream is true and its
-
interpretation is trustworthy. Jesus said this in Matthew
Matthew 15 chapter mention
-
chapter 15 verse three. He says, why do you transgress
-
the commandments of God for the sake of your traditions?
-
Why do you transgress the commandment of God for the sake
-
of your tradition? Do you know?
-
Transgress is not the same as sin.
-
Transgress means you know and you don't do.
-
Sin means you're ignorant and you do wrong.
-
But a transgressor is someone who knows and chooses to rebel.
-
So he says why do you yourself choose to rebel knowingly the
-
command of God and yet live life governed by traditions.
-
This is very important because in our modern day Christianity,
-
especially in the West, we have developed some traditions and so
-
we have to be passionate to determine what is truth or
-
command of God and what has become just a religious
-
tradition. Are you hearing me now?
-
When I was young, I had 2020 vision.
-
I've kept that for a very long time.
-
Then iPads came out, you know, electronics.
-
And then I found that I could read everything from my iPad.
-
I cannot prove this, but you know, I speculate that because I
-
went to the digital device to read everything, it started to
-
affect my eyes a little bit. It could be H, you know, you
-
might want to blame it on H and maybe that's partly part of the
-
challenge as well. But I do think the light, you
-
know, why would we have the blue light on the glasses now?
-
The something must have been seen that was affecting the
-
eyesight. It's kind of hard to go away
-
from it now because you can keep so much resource on one thing.
-
I have so many Bible translations on this one device.
-
I, I could go run so many sermons right now that are right
-
here. I mean, from 2005, I have
-
messages on this device. I can go back 20 years from
-
today and say, what did I preach at Anchor Faith Church on this
-
day 20 years ago? I can do that.
-
OK, that's pretty powerful. But what happens is, is that I
-
can see just as you can see and I can see my iPad.
-
It's just that my font has grown since I have.
-
You know, if I went back in 2005, my font size was 8.
-
So all my sermons were always on one page.
-
I do it landscape, 2 columns. I don't know why I do that.
-
I just do that. Two columns, one page, right?
-
And they're eight. If I go to those, cannot see
-
them. It's just a blurb.
-
So I progressed to A10, to a 12. Now I'm at 14 today and I blow
-
it up as big as it can. It's still a little blurry but I
-
don't wear glasses while I preach because of the glare.
-
So that's why you don't see me in these cause oh that's clear I
-
can see that. Now what we need to do is we
-
need to get our lens set correctly with the Word of God,
-
because tradition will give you a blurred vision of God's Word.
-
However, knowing what the Word is actually about will give you
-
clarity. And when you get clarity, then
-
all the truths come alive off the pages and you'll realize
-
that there's a reason why God used people to pin an old
-
covenant. Tradition has us kind of
-
disdaining the old covenant as if it has no relevance.
-
Yet when you understand the Bible, you understand why it was
-
pinned. It is a natural progression
-
because it's God revealing himself to man.
-
You know, there are people out there that will say this.
-
The Bible's about Jesus, it's all about God.
-
And you know what? The Bible is about Jesus and
-
about God. But it's not all about that.
-
Actually, there is another one created that God is revealing in
-
Scripture besides Himself, and it is man.
-
It is man. The Bible's not about man or
-
it's not exclusively about man, but it includes man.
-
So God is allowing us to see Him and see what He meant for man.
-
Because you understand God has created other beings besides
-
man. He's created an angelic being.
-
He's created a heavenly host. And we know one anointed cherub
-
fell from heaven, but we don't have a whole lot of detail about
-
the existence of them. We have some things, you know,
-
that are out there, but not enough that we could accurately
-
understand that species of being that God has created.
-
But yet when it comes to man, he's given us a lot of detail, a
-
lot of detail, but he's also given us a lot of detail of
-
himself. So it's very important that we
-
understand why God has written scripture, what it's about,
-
Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar. This is a future event and his
-
idol is only about kingdoms and he's telling him that the God of
-
heaven is talking to you, Nebuchadnezzar, about kingdoms.
-
Notice God is not revealing to Nebuchadnezzar who did not
-
worship God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
-
He worshiped idols. Are you hearing me?
-
I mean, why would the Father not reveal to Nebuchadnezzar the
-
religion of Judaism if he wanted his heart changed?
-
Why does he reveal to him kingdoms?
-
And why does he say in the end that the God of heaven is
-
setting up a Kingdom? Notice what he did not say.
-
Nebuchadnezzar. There is a stone that is made
-
without hands. Anybody know who that is?
-
What's his name? He's called the chief
-
cornerstone. He is a stone made without
-
hands. Why?
-
Because man did not participate in causing Jesus to be born.
-
But it was the Holy Spirit who came upon on a virgin and
-
impregnated her with the Son of God.
-
Are you hearing me? So there was a stone made
-
without hands. He's the chief cornerstone.
-
And you know what it says about the chief cornerstone?
-
That he will fall on people and crush them to obliteration, or
-
you'll fall on him and he'll break you so that you can become
-
what God ordained you to be in the 1st place.
-
And notice there's this stone that is cut without hands, yet
-
once it crushes all the kingdoms.
-
You know what? That stone's really not even
-
concerned about religion. The stone doesn't even care
-
about Islam, doesn't care about Hinduism, didn't care about
-
Buddhists. But yet that stone will deal
-
with kingdoms same in any way, Hallelujah.
-
And so that stone crushes and it will cause every one of these
-
kingdoms to disappear, and they'll be no remembrance of
-
them. However, the stone, it says,
-
will grow into a large mountain and be all over the earth.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Now, this is in your Bible.
-
We're just probably in some places that most of the time
-
people aren't always covering right?
-
But this is a consistent theme, and what we want to see is that
-
if we're going to set the lens right to understand about the
-
death, burial, resurrection of Jesus and the reason why he's
-
doing something, then we need to understand what God's doing with
-
the Word of God. Because this Bible is not just
-
about redemption. If all you do is start at
-
Genesis 3 and go to Revelations 20, then the story of redemption
-
is really clear. But what was going on in planet
-
Earth prior to Adam falling is there?
-
And anyone, if you would talk to them as a believer, say, was
-
there a time on this planet that sin was not here?
-
And we would all have to say, well, sure, Adam and Eve in the
-
garden. Yet our conversation is only
-
about redemption and not about the time prior.
-
Nor do we take the time to read Revelation 21 and 22.
-
Because Daniel says this mountain's going to show up or
-
this rock's going to show up. It's going to crush all these
-
kingdoms and it's going to stay and then grow as a mountain and
-
feel the earth and through the story of redemption because we
-
haven't set the correct lens. We are all waiting to go to
-
heaven when we die. Yet the Lord says, but there's
-
something happening in the earth.
-
Now, does heaven exist? You bet it does.
-
But if you read the last two chapters again, don't take my
-
word for it 'cause I'm saying it.
-
Read the Scripture yourself. After the catching away of the
-
church, after the tribulation period, after the return of
-
Jesus who comes back to planet earth and reigns on the earth
-
for 1000 years, we call it the millennial reign of Christ.
-
Then he will release the devil After that time period, for a
-
time there will be a battle that won't last long, and after that
-
battle he will take the devil. And they throw him into the lake
-
of fire, which is the second death.
-
Then the courtroom of heaven will open up, and the dead who
-
never confessed Christ as Lord will be resurrected.
-
He'll resurrect the dead, bring them to heaven.
-
They'll stand before the courtroom of God and he will
-
say, depart from me, for I never knew you.
-
I'm giving you what you wanted. This is not what I wanted, but
-
in this book called the Lamb's Book of life cannot find your
-
name. So I'm shutting this one and I'm
-
opening up the other books, every book that has everything
-
that you've done against my word.
-
Now, let me help you because I said, Lord, it's a tough sell
-
sometimes, Dad, to talk about. We need to follow you at your
-
word because we in the US, we are stubborn people.
-
Now, why do I say that? Because our nation has ingrained
-
in us the spirit of independence.
-
I can do what I want to do, live like I want to live, excel like
-
I want to excel. Well, you can do that in the
-
United States, but you cannot do that in the Kingdom of God.
-
And so I'm like, how do you, how do I say it, Lord?
-
Because your life, he said, OK, he said just do it like this,
-
son. So today take a deep breath in,
-
let it out. Deep breath in.
-
Hold it. Let it out.
-
Now, I do not know the chemical makeup of the oxygen we have,
-
but there's a lot of oxygen going on.
-
There's a few other things, but this mixture is perfect for us
-
to live. Correct.
-
Let's do it again. Ready.
-
Breathe out. Now.
-
What happens if we lose this oxygen?
-
What happens if we lose this oxygen?
-
You what? OK, so your body is telling you
-
if you want to live, you need oxygen.
-
Now it's not saying it, but it's saying it by the fact you're
-
breathing. Now could you say body don't
-
tell me I have to breathe oxygen.
-
I can breathe whatever I want to breathe, you know, So I'm going
-
to go get some, you know, nitrous oxide.
-
I'm going to get some whatever other gas.
-
You know, we get all kind of got helium.
-
I'm going to suck some helium. I'm just going to put a helium
-
tank and just, and then you'll talk real high for a little
-
while and you just keep breathing and never go back to
-
oxygen. What's going to happen?
-
Are you putting gas in your lungs?
-
But what's going to happen if all you do is breathe helium or
-
any other form of gas? Like how about natural gas,
-
propane, hook up a little propane tank, right?
-
You got your little propane tank you carry around.
-
I'm rebelling against oxygen. My body.
-
Don't tell me I'll breathe what I want to breathe.
-
And so I'm a hook up my little propane tank and put it on my
-
face and start breathing. How long you think you're going
-
to survive sucking down propane gas?
-
Right, 'cause you can. So the Lord's saying you can do
-
whatever you want to do, you can.
-
But anything that I'm not saying isn't life.
-
The greatest deception in planet Earth is breathing.
-
Because you're breathing, you think you're alive.
-
The reality is life comes in the spirit and life only comes in
-
the spirit obedient to what the Lord says because he is life.
-
So when he says he's not giving you restrictions, he's saying
-
suck on some oxygen. When he defines terms, he's
-
communicating here is oxygen to your spirit.
-
This is why you live. These things are why you live.
-
If you obey this is he said I set before you life and choose
-
he shouldn't have to tell us. So when you're arguing, well,
-
I'm not going to do what the Lord says then you choose to
-
hook up propane to your mouth and you can suck propane because
-
every one of us and he think about it.
-
Let's just break it down to its rudimentary thought.
-
Do you want me to believe you at your word concerning how to
-
live? Or am I going to believe God at
-
His word? Because at the end of the day,
-
it's really just about believing people at their word.
-
Well, I just think, OK, so you want me to bow down to that
-
word? Your whole life is about
-
following some word. You're submitting to something.
-
Anyway, when we get into sexual relationships, our body says all
-
this feels good. So then we submit to that.
-
Yet God says if you want a particular feeling physically
-
through sexuality, this is life and you can do it this way and
-
it's oxygen to you, but if you do it any other way, it's death.
-
And here's the thing, God is such a merciful God and
-
long-suffering because if sin paid out quickly, lest would do
-
it. But God's merciful.
-
And why is God merciful? Because he's already paid the
-
price for everything you're doing.
-
Contrary to His word, the blood's already been applied, so
-
it doesn't matter how much you're doing.
-
He's like, I've already paid for this, I've already paid for
-
that, and he can be long summer and say, are you going to do
-
something else wrong? You want to do something else
-
contrary to my word, You want to make another decision that's
-
against the Kingdom of God. You want to do another thing and
-
choose death. You can.
-
But all the while, every time you do, I've already paid that
-
price and I'll forgive you if you want it, and then I'll give
-
you life and I'll give it to you more abundantly.
-
So the Lord speaks to Nebuchadnezzar and says a
-
Kingdom, it's coming forever. He did not speak to Him about
-
religion at all. Let's turn over to Isaiah
Isaiah 9 chapter mention
-
Chapter 9 and verse 6. Isaiah Chapter 9, verse 6, I'll
-
say this and then we'll kind of get to a speed round real quick.
-
Isaiah Chapter 9 verse six and seven says it this way.
Isaiah 9 chapter mention
-
Because there's a stone made without hands.
-
We know His name's Jesus. He is the chief cornerstone.
-
Isaiah Chapter 9 verse 6 says this.
-
A child will be born, right? I said a child will be born to
-
us. A son will be given to us.
-
Notice a child's born, but a son is not born.
-
And the reason the son is not born is because the Son always
-
existed because God left His glory.
-
Man, you want to be here. Resurrection Sunday.
-
God left His glory and came and became a man and he has to be a
-
man. He has to come and be a man
-
because what God has spoken in Genesis chapter one, it says
-
then a child will be born to us, a son will be given and the what
-
and the what? Go ahead.
-
Look at your own Bible. Look at your own translation,
-
because it doesn't say and Christianity it doesn't say and
-
a new religion. No, it says the government.
-
Why? Because the Bible is actually
-
about a king, his Kingdom and his royal offspring, and the
-
government will rest on his shoulders and his name will be
-
called wonderful counselor, mighty God, eternal Father,
-
Prince of Peace. There'll be no end to the
-
increase of his government or peace on the throne of David are
-
over his what? To establish it, to uphold it
-
with justice and righteous from then on and forever more.
-
Do you understand God is a just God and he is a righteous God.
-
He's life and he upholds life period says the zeal of the Lord
-
of hosts will accomplish this. So the government will rest on
-
his shoulders. Jesus Christ is the head of the
-
church. The Bible tells us the shoulders
-
are located in the body. We are considered the body of
-
Christ. So God's Kingdom is being
-
demonstrated through his church in the earth today.
-
We are actually more in what would be considered an embassy
-
because what did we, what do we know?
-
The scripture says Jesus says you're not of this world as I'm
-
not of this world. In essence, he said this in
-
Colossians, that he transferred you out of the domain of
-
darkness into the Kingdom of his beloved Son.
-
He said He would make you a holy nation.
-
In essence, you are of a different Kingdom now and the
-
kingdoms of this world we are not a part of.
-
So when we come together in the church, we are ambassadors, oh
-
get this, we are ambassadors for Christ, hearing from the home
-
country called heaven, where our King sits on the throne at the
-
right hand of the Father, and He gives us instruction through His
-
Spirit how we are to navigate and represent His Kingdom right
-
here on the earth. Hallelujah.
-
So there'll be no end to the increase of his government.
-
Who is the child born? What's his name?
-
Come on, shout it out. His name's Jesus.
-
And when Jesus came, Jesus preached one thing.
-
Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
-
Jesus never preached publicly. Be born again.
-
Do you have to be born again? Absolutely.
-
Jesus told a religious man by the name of Nicodemus at 2:00 or
-
3:00 in the morning because he was afraid of the religious,
-
although he was in awe of Jesus. And he says man, Teacher, John,
John 3 chapter mention
-
Chapter 3. Teacher, teacher, teacher, the
-
things you're doing, you have to be from God, He said.
-
Unless a man's born again, he shall not see the Kingdom of
-
God, He shall not enter the Kingdom of God.
-
Because This is why nobody can be a citizen of the Kingdom
-
illegally. They cannot buy their
-
citizenship of their own merit. They must be born of the Kingdom
-
of God and Jesus through his death, burial, resurrection
-
gives us the entitlement, the ability to call on His name and
-
be born. Literal translation from above,
-
which then gets our name logged in a book.
-
Much like you have your name logged in a book from the nation
-
you were born from. If you were born in the United
-
States, your name was recorded on a birth certificate and later
-
on they'll and they give you what they call a Social Security
-
number. That's your identification that
-
allows us to know that you were born of this particular nation.
-
Well, the Lord's like I need you born in my nation and the only
-
way you can be born in my nation is to acknowledge my son as
-
Lord. Lord is not a religious word.
-
It means supreme in authority. And The thing is, is in the
-
United States, we have been so brainwashed with separation of
-
church and state that we cannot see the church as a government.
-
We only see it as a religion. And that's what the devil wants.
-
The devil never wants you empowered in his Kingdom.
-
He wants you always seeking after God.
-
In fact, let me read a few things that Doctor Miles Monroe
-
said concerning religion and Kingdom.
-
He said this religion preoccupies man until he finds
-
the Kingdom. Religion prepares man to leave
-
Earth, but the Kingdom empowers man to dominate Earth.
-
Religion focuses on heaven. The Kingdom focuses on earth.
-
Religion is reaching up to God. The Kingdom is God coming down
-
to man. Religion wants to escape the
-
earth. The Kingdom impacts, influences,
-
and changes the earth. Religion seeks to take earth to
-
heaven, but the Kingdom seeks to bring heaven to earth.
-
What did Jesus say? He said, now when you pray, pray
-
this way. Our Whose Father?
-
Our our Father, not his Father. Our Father who art in heaven,
-
hallowed be your name, your Kingdom, your will be on as it
-
is. Now listen.
-
I know what you're thinking because I can hear it in your
-
mind. You're telling us we don't need
-
to go to heaven. No one's saying that.
-
The Bible says this to be absent from the body.
-
You'll be present. Where is the Lord presently?
-
At the right hand. The Father question is he
-
staying there though? We have been so traditionally
-
taught about the blood of Jesus in our nation so much that our
-
only accepted truth is that we have accepted the tagline of
-
every other religion and every other religion.
-
Is this what happens after you die?
-
What would propel a man to suit himself up with a bomb, go into
-
a public place and blow himself up based upon a religion because
-
of what's being promised to him after he dies?
-
What would cause a person to separate from society and go up
-
on a hill and pray to a point that they ostracize themselves
-
from society in order to reach a state of enlightenment somewhere
-
other than when they? What would call someone to live
-
in such a way so that when they are when they die, they do not
-
get re carnated into something back into the planet, but they
-
get to go on into that place of enlightenment so they do not
-
have to repeat this process. It's all the same question.
-
Where are you going to go when you die?
-
And we have picked up that religious statement where you
-
going to go when you die? And Jesus is like, why are you
-
centering my gospel on death, my gospel's life?
-
Jesus never preached. Did he preach on the the Sermon
-
on the Mount? Where are you going to go when
-
you die? He did not do this.
-
He said the Kingdom of heaven and when he went around public,
-
he said the Kingdom of heaven was like this and the Kingdom of
-
God is like that and the Kingdom of heaven is like this and the
-
Kingdom of God is like that. He said the Kingdom of heaven is
-
like and unto you know what? The devil knows this about a
-
Kingdom. Turn over to Luke chapter 4.
Luke 4 chapter mention
-
In Luke chapter 4, this is the temptation of Christ.
Luke 4 chapter mention
-
We typically read Matthew because it's the first of the
-
four gospels, but the Luke account gives us way more detail
-
and it says in Luke chapter 4 verse one and two, it says Jesus
Luke 4 chapter mention
-
full of the Holy Spirit. What was he full of?
-
What was he full of man? He's full of the Holy Spirit,
-
full of the Holy Spirit return. He's full of the Holy Spirit
-
because he was just baptized in the Jordan River where God, when
-
he came up out of that because he said John do permit this, do
-
this so that all righteousness can be fulfilled.
-
I read about this in the old covenant, that this would happen
-
to me, and I do everything Dad says about me.
-
And so I'm going to obey my father.
-
I'm not going to be like my older brother when he say older.
-
That's older in the flesh, not older in eternity.
-
You understand, my older, the first Adam who did not obey
-
that. I'm going to obey that.
-
I'm going to do what he says. And when he came up by that
-
water, heaven opened up, and the voice from heaven, Father God
-
him said, this is my beloved Son in whom I'm well pleased.
-
Now he's full of the Holy Ghost, and he has the Holy Ghost
-
without measure. He returned from Jordan, was led
-
by that spirit into the wilderness for 40 days, being
-
tempted by the devil. You know what the devil says to
-
him first, if you are the Son of God, my daddy just told me I
-
was. Now how many times you come to
-
church and you hear you're healed, you're blessed, God will
-
deliver you out all your trouble.
-
And then you get out and the devil says you're not going to
-
get out of trouble, you're not blessed.
-
And you know what? You got a cold and you're going
-
to keep it. It's probably going to get
-
worse. Well, you got to decide who's
-
reporting you going to believe. Jesus chose to believe his
-
father's voice over the devil's voice.
-
And unlike his brother Adam who listened to the voice of the
-
devil and fell from dominion, Jesus said I'll stay with daddy.
-
So we jump down into verse 5, I believe it is, and it says the
-
devil LED Jesus up and showed him all the what not religions.
-
The devil never once tried to convince Jesus to worship the
-
gods of Rome, of the Roman Empire.
-
He never once tried to get him to worship the gods of the
-
former Greek Empire. He never once tried to bring up
-
some old statue or idol. He said he showed him all the
-
kingdoms in the world in the moment of time.
-
And he said, and the devil said to him, I will give you all this
-
domain and its glory. Who's going to give it?
-
Now the first question of the unlearned in Scripture will say,
-
well, he didn't own it. God's in control.
-
God was not in control there. God is in control of his word.
-
He's not controlling everything because if God controlled
-
everything, all of you would be saved because God's desires that
-
none would perish, yet people will be cast into the lake of
-
fire. So when we make these
-
traditional statement, well, God's in control, there are some
-
things God is not controlling so that therefore then he is not in
-
control of those things. That is a traditional statement,
-
not a biblical one. We had, let me smile when I say
-
that is a traditional statement, not a biblical one, Amen.
-
And we tear down tradition and live according to the word of
-
God, Amen. Because if God was in control,
-
Lucifer never would have been cast out.
-
I mean, I could just continue that list.
-
It's pretty simple, but he people will say, well, you know,
-
he couldn't really give it away. Yes, he could.
-
He had it and he didn't qualifies why he has it.
-
Look what it says next for it has been handed over to me.
-
So the devil is letting Jesus know all this domain, all the
-
authority and power over all these kingdoms.
-
They're mine, you know they're mine, and you know I control it
-
because they were handed to me. I didn't steal them.
-
They were given to me, and I can give it to whomever I will.
-
What's he saying? They were given to me and now
-
they're mine and I can give it to you.
-
Now here's the requirement. All you have to do is worship me
-
and I'll give them because Lucifer's only had one thought.
-
I won't God the Creator to bow down and worship the created.
-
And you remember what Jesus said about this?
-
He said I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
-
When that rebellion, because in a Kingdom the most dangerous
-
word is independence. The second most dangerous word
-
is rebellion. Now this is the problem in the
-
United States. Why?
-
Because what day do what do we celebrate?
-
January, July 4th, Independence Day?
-
I'm worship God anyway. I want to how I want to.
-
Well, that makes great sense in our nation, but it doesn't make
-
sense in the Bible because the Bible says, well, if you're
-
going to worship the creator of heaven and earth, this is how
-
you worship him. This is how that works.
-
This is how you do it because remember, I just want to give
-
you oxygen. Get off the propane, get off the
-
propane, cause the propane does not sustain life.
-
But his he's is the sustainer of life.
-
So he says, I can give you all this domain, these kingdoms,
-
this glory, for they've been handed over me.
-
Where did he get it from? Come on, you know where He got
-
it from? Genesis 126, before sin ever
-
came into the planet. God creates the heavens and the
-
earth. He owns the planet by right of
-
creation, not by right of conquest.
-
God didn't come out of the some future universe or some, you
-
know, distant universe, some Galaxy far, far, far away and
-
showed up into the Milky Way and says, ah, I'm going to conquer
-
this place. No, when there was none, he
-
spoke. Whoa.
-
I mean, he set the stars and the galaxies and the planets and a
-
word. He's a sustainer of life.
-
And he created this place called Earth with somebody in mind,
-
someone in his image. Look at this Genesis 126, You
-
know, then God said let us make man in our image according to
-
our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the
-
sea, over the birds of the sky, over the cattle, over all the
-
earth, over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
-
So God created man, his own image in the image of God.
-
He created him male and He created him and he never gets
-
that wrong. Never, never gets that wrong.
-
OK, so God created both male and female would have dominion.
-
You understand, You don't have to be a female trying to act
-
like a man to have dominion because female have dominion.
-
And you don't have to be a man trying to act like a female to
-
have dominion because men have dominion.
-
Both were given dominion, power, authority, and it comes from
-
God, by God. God is so secure in his
-
rulership that he says I'll let you rule.
-
And so the Lord makes heaven and earth, earth.
-
He says, I'm giving to man. I'm going to let man who's in my
-
image, in my likeness, I'm going to let him rule.
-
That and I, he came down in the cool of the day.
-
He spent time with him. Why?
-
Because God and Adam and Eve are the same in nature, no sin.
-
But man was given the right to rule.
-
Notice he did not give Adam a religion.
-
He gave him governing power. Now you know why we struggle
-
with voting for people. Put that back up there.
-
OK, you already got it. Notice what we have dominion
-
over. Fish, birds, cattle, Earth,
-
which is the created earth, right?
-
Creeping things that creep on the earth.
-
Nowhere does it say we have dominion over man.
-
This is why we struggle in voting, because we were never
-
supposed to be submitted to another human.
-
We were only supposed to be submitted to God.
-
However, because man has sinned, God had to institute a form of
-
government through man still for the sake of man.
-
That's why there were laws put in place things because God had
-
a time on planet Earth when he just let man make his own
-
decision. Oh, it went crazy all right.
-
So crazy that he flooded the planet, right?
-
So crazy that he said, I regret I even made them because none of
-
them are doing right. No one's trying to come except
-
for one guy with a family. And so he went to that family to
-
help the process. And why does he have to do this?
-
Because we know that God in Genesis 2 tells Adam, Hey, Adam,
-
I'm going to shut down with a few thoughts here, and then
-
we'll come back to it next week. Adam, all the trees you can eat.
-
But if the tree, the knowledge of goodness, you shall not eat,
-
for the day you eat you will, surely you're going to die.
-
Does God want Adam to die? If Adam never eats the fruit,
-
where would he be today? He'd be right here now.
-
I've heard people say. So why did he put the tree
-
there? Free will is 1 #2 though he
-
needs to know Adam loves him. Love is always expressed and
-
demonstrated through obedience. Jesus said if you love me,
-
you'll keep my word. So Adam is in the nature of God,
-
Eve is in the nature of God. How would he not love him?
-
It requires him to obey. And every day he passed that
-
garden. God is not intimidated that it's
-
in the middle. He didn't hide it off into
-
obscurity somewhere where he had to go find it.
-
He let him pass it every day. He had no problem because all
-
you got to do is keep my word. It's really no threat to you.
-
Just keep the words. No threat to you.
-
But someone entered a garden, Anointed cherub that fell when
-
he came into the garden. He says who those people look a
-
lot like God. And so he began to speak to 1
-
and he convinced her and him that this God that walks with
-
you in the cool of the day, you really don't know him like I do.
-
And although there's no evidence to suggest the lies he is
-
saying, they listened to his word instead of the Father.
-
And the Bible says that she ate and gave to her husband, and he
-
ate, and when he ate, he transferred that dominion to the
-
devil, of which Second Corinthians full force says he
-
became the God of this world. And even the devil knows this.
-
The Bible's about a king, his Kingdom, and his royal
-
offspring. If he can keep you in religion,
-
then you'll never challenge his dominion.
-
You'll never challenge him. Because when you know you're a
-
child of the king, and that your king has stripped him of his
-
power and has restored back to you the dominion Adam lost, then
-
the devil will never be a problem to you ever again.
-
Because when he brings his weapons, they won't prosper.
-
When he brings his tactics, you'll be aware of them and
-
you'll just stay with the Word and overcome because Christ has
-
defeated him. The Bible's about a king, his
-
Kingdom, and his royal offspring.
-
It's not a religion and this Kingdom will have no end.
-
I said I have no end. I said it, I have no end.
-
I said it, I have no end, It have no end.
-
I'm not offering you a religion, and neither was Jesus.
-
I'm offering you a nation, and I'll just be as bold to tell you
-
like it is. It's a global takeover.
-
Can I tell you the United States will not be here forever?
-
Canada will not be here forever. Russia will not be here forever.
-
China will not be here forever. They will all pass away.
-
But his Kingdom, there is a nation that will remain forever.
-
It's called Israel, and the new Jerusalem will come down out of
-
heaven to the earth, and we will reign with Him forever because
-
we are His children. We've called on His name, we
-
have submitted to His Lordship. We have hooked our spirit up to
-
life. We are off the propane and we're
-
like Lord, like Peter. Where are we going to go?
-
You have the words of life.
