  1. The. Title of my message tonight is

  2. this. I wanted you to see it with your

  3. eyeballs. All right, this is the title of

  4. my message. See.

  5. It's in the parentheses. All right, I want everybody to

  6. say this word. All right, say it.

  7. OK. Is it?

  8. Or is it produce? Oh, so you think you know

  9. something? I find it interesting that

  10. produce and produce is spelled the same and technically has the

  11. same meaning. Produce is fruit or vegetables

  12. that have matured in order to be harvested so that people can eat

  13. and grow. But you have no produce if the

  14. plant doesn't produce or the seed doesn't produce.

  15. So if you're going to have produce in your spiritual life,

  16. then you're going to have to produce the seeds sown in your

  17. life. Are you hearing me now?

  18. I am going to minister the beginning part of this that I

  19. ministered to our leaders in the Caribbean because when the Lord

  20. put this in my. Spirit that we needed to go here

  21. this this evening. I had just did a leadership

  22. lesson on Monday and I'm like, man, that is so good.

  23. I think I'm going to pull that into this context.

  24. So we're going to take a little journey together.

  25. Look at Matthew Chapter 9 verse 36 to 38.

    Matthew 9:36–38

  26. It says this. It says seeing the people, and

  27. this is Jesus seeing the people. He felt compassion for them

  28. because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a

  29. shepherd. Then he said to his disciples,

  30. the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

  31. Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest.

  32. Oh, thank you, Jesus. Just send out workers into his

  33. harvest. Now Jesus in one comment talks

  34. about the society that they were living in.

  35. There is livestock and then there's agriculture.

  36. And so he starts when he's thinking about people, He first

  37. goes to an analogy of livestock, a shepherd and sheep.

  38. Then the very next, he's still talking about the same group of

  39. people. He has compassion for people.

  40. And when he sees them, they're like sheep without shepherd.

  41. But then he sees them like they are a harvest.

  42. It's agriculture. And he said, man, we need to

  43. pray to the Lord of the harvest that he'd send out workers.

  44. Now, when you go out to a field to harvest, how many?

  45. You know, harvesting is not just pulling the fruit off the vine,

  46. because if we went to Hastings and they started to pull the

  47. fruit off the bott, by all rights they have harvested the

  48. fruit and leave it in the field and walk off and there's no.

  49. Other process What's going to happen to all the fruit that's

  50. just been picked? It's going to rot in the same

  51. field that they were harvesting. Oh y'all don't want to?

  52. So when we think of harvest, unfortunately we have a context

  53. that we have been, you know, traditionally trained in.

  54. But I'm I began to ask the question, what was Jesus seeing

  55. when he said the harvest is plentiful?

  56. Because again, it's very easy for us to go into scripture,

  57. find a scripture, find two or three that kind of model that,

  58. but still miss the big picture. This is why we wrote the book

  59. The Forest, because again, sometimes we miss the context of

  60. God's truths within His Scripture because we don't see

  61. the big picture of what's going on.

  62. If you've never read our book The Force, you can get it at

  63. Guest. Relations and it would our

  64. welcome center it would be a great blessing to you OK.

  65. And so, you know, there's a lot of truths in the Bible, but if

  66. you don't have it in the right context, even if it's true, you

  67. will not have the value or reap everything out of that

  68. particular truth because you don't understand its context.

  69. So when Jesus says the harvest is great, what is he looking at?

  70. Now? Many of us would just say, well,

  71. he's talking about, you know, people being born again.

  72. I mean, this is technically the traditional thought that the

  73. harvest is people who are lost. And they come into the Kingdom.

  74. Well, is that what Jesus was seeing?

  75. OK, let's do a little go through scripture.

  76. Now in Matthew chapter 28 verse 19, obviously Jesus is concerned

    Matthew 28:19

  77. about. People's spiritual condition and

  78. he doesn't want them to stay in the place they are.

  79. He wants them into another location.

  80. As a result of that, he gives this command after his death,

  81. burial, resurrection. He says that go therefore and

  82. make what does he make him disciples of all nations,

  83. baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy

  84. Spirit. So notice Jesus does not say

  85. make converts. He doesn't say go get people

  86. saved alone. He says go make disciples.

  87. The word disciple means enroll as a student or a pupil, which

  88. means in essence, if they're going to be trained because his

  89. word his his preaching in Matthew 417 when he goes to the

  90. public says repent, that's change your thinking.

  91. Notice he did not say get a new spirit.

  92. Do you need a new spirit? Yes, what I'm saying is your

  93. spiritual change is not all that God was going after.

  94. God understands that we are not only spirit, but we have a soul

  95. and a body, and He's here to redeem it all.

  96. Because we can save our souls through the washing of the water

  97. of the world. We are to work out our salvation

  98. with what fear and trembling meaning renew in our mind.

  99. But one day our mortal bodies that will go to the grave,

  100. should the Lord tarry, will put on immortality, will be

  101. glorified and will never die. So your body will never die,

  102. never have sickness or disease. Your mind will be completely

  103. open with no sin context, whoo Hallelujah.

  104. And all of that will reflect your spirit being.

  105. So when the Lord's like putting a new spirit in us, He expects

  106. that spirit alone with the Holy Ghost in us to do a work with

  107. the rest. Because you know, even though

  108. your body today is mortal, He'll heal it.

  109. He'll cause it to be strong so that you can accomplish the

  110. work. He didn't say, well, whatever

  111. happens to your body, Oh well, I'm not really concerned about

  112. that. Well, why'd he take stripes on

  113. his back? So he's concerned about all of

  114. us. So do not cheapen the the

  115. finished work of Jesus to solely being saved in your spirit

  116. because it's way bigger than that.

  117. Come on, say Amen. So Jesus said go and make

  118. disciples. In essence, enroll the students,

  119. which means if they're going to repent, if I'm going to have

  120. them change their thinking, I'll change their spirit.

  121. They can't do it. Only I can do that.

  122. But then once their spirits change and I put my spirit in

  123. them, the Holy Spirit, they'll be the temple of the Holy Ghost.

  124. He'll bear witness with their spirit.

  125. He'll teach them. He'll guide them.

  126. Right now, what's He teaching and guiding?

  127. He's there to renew your mind because he wants a disciple.

  128. Well, what does a disciple look like?

  129. Because again, a disciple is not someone who is just born again.

  130. That is not a Bible definition of disciples.

  131. OK, Ephesians chapter 4 verse 11 and 12.

    Ephesians 4:11

  132. Look what Jesus said by the Holy Spirit through Paul writing to

  133. the church at Ephesus and he says and he that's Jesus gave

  134. some as apostles and some as prophets and some as evangelist,

  135. some as pastors and teachers. Why?

  136. This is their why for the equipment of the Saints.

  137. So the FIFO ministry has a very serious assignment and that

  138. assignment is not just to win the lost and go after the lost

  139. alone. And many congregations are not

  140. arriving to disciple level because the emphasis is on a

  141. harvest of only the loss coming into the Kingdom.

  142. But no, growing up we are heavy in discipleship.

  143. This is why we have midweek services.

  144. This is why we have men's group on a Monday night.

  145. That's why we have faith Christian University.

  146. I mean we have a plethora of opportunities for you to grow up

  147. spiritually. This is why our foundations on

  148. Sunday morning is why to disciple you because it's not

  149. enough that you're in his Kingdom.

  150. God always saw you as a his view of you was let him be a disciple

  151. and the five folds responsibilities.

  152. I need to make sure I am feeding them the word that they can grow

  153. by it, not hold on by it, not wait until they die by, you

  154. know, and go to heaven by it, but to grow by it, to overcome

  155. by it, to win, to conquer to. Crucify the flesh to overcome

  156. obstacles, right? Trials and tribulations.

  157. We're going to see this. That's the point.

  158. So then we go over. So a pastor obviously is a type

  159. and shadow of a shepherd, she said.

  160. I have compassion for him to like sheep without a shepherd.

  161. And a shepherd doesn't go to the field and transfer them from 1

  162. field into another field and then walk away or let him stay

  163. in. He's always taking them.

  164. To pastures to feed them. It's to develop and grow them

  165. All right, so a pastor issue. Equip Saints.

  166. For this purpose, look at John chapter 15, verse 8.

    John 15:8

  167. John 15-8 tells us very clearly what a disciple looks like.

  168. He said, My father's glorified by this, that you what bear

  169. much. And so, so confessing Jesus as

  170. Lord, does that prove your disciple it it proves that

  171. you're a child of God. I'll give you that.

  172. Paul himself in the in in the Corinthian letter said.

  173. Look, I I can't even speak to you about spiritual things.

  174. Like we can't even go on to some things because you're carnal.

  175. You're like babes in Christ. I mean, God never intended you

  176. to stay, baby, to just be out of the domain of darkness into the

  177. Kingdom of his beloved son. Live just as a babe until you go

  178. to heaven, so that when you stand before the Lord, it's as

  179. if you were saved by fire, like you were plucked out of just

  180. hell itself. That's about all you, all that

  181. happened for you, the Lord's. Like I saw beyond that.

  182. When I saw harvest, I saw fruit. So when Jesus says the harvest,

  183. he's saying this. I see the potential of someone

  184. if they would come over into this Kingdom, would have a life

  185. that would bear much fruit for me, not just be my child that

  186. has no fruit, that's just holding on until they die.

  187. That their only confession is that Jesus died on the cross and

  188. roast from the grave 1 to get in and then the second one after

  189. that is I'm going to heaven when I die and that's it.

  190. That's never was God intent and that's not what he saw when he

  191. saw the harvest. When he saw the harvest, he saw

  192. men and women coming back into the original purpose that God

  193. had for man in the first place. In Genesis chapter 1.

    Genesis 1 chapter mention

  194. Let us make man in our image according to our likeness and

  195. let them have what demeaning or rule?

  196. Well, you cannot rule or dominate your circumstances and

  197. situations on the planet if you're staying a baby.

  198. Babies just in the natural do not dominate their dominate

  199. their bodies because you know when they 1st come out they'll

  200. mess all over themselves and be fine with it.

  201. And look at you like when you changing me.

  202. If you do whatever, I don't care because if you don't and he gets

  203. all nasty then I'm going to cry anyway and you're going to have

  204. to deal with that right? They cannot of their own self do

  205. anything right now. Everything we do, we do because

  206. we are following God and God's empowering.

  207. US. All right.

  208. Now here's the thing. When you're born of God, your

  209. spirit man wants to produce fruit.

  210. The question is, do you? Disrupt it in your soul so.

  211. Harvest really has has. Has to do with.

  212. Fruit. So when we acknowledge that

  213. harvest is just salvation or being born again, that's not

  214. what Jesus was saying. Because harvest is a salvation

  215. itself is a just about a transfer from from one domain

  216. into another domain. That's what salvation.

  217. When I say salvation, I'm saying born again.

  218. That one time account of faith is a transfer from one domain to

  219. the next. That's why Colossians chapter 2

    Colossians 2 chapter mention

  220. says you were transferred from the domain of darkness into the

  221. Kingdom of his beloved son. Now you're transferred into the

  222. Kingdom, and Kingdom is not heaven because when I was born

  223. again, I didn't go to heaven. I was still on the planet.

  224. I'm still on the planet, but I was transferred into His

  225. Kingdom. I became a citizen, a royal

  226. heir. Come on, I'm a peculiar people,

  227. a holy nation, right? And you know, I'm, I'm working

  228. with the Lord. So with that being said, look at

  229. Matthew chapter 13. Now in Matthew 13, what I'm

    Matthew 13 chapter mention

  230. going to do when we do this is the parable of the sower.

  231. But there are two other gospels that give this account.

  232. And I am adding in at various verses the other Gospels

  233. accounts because they say a couple of different things.

  234. All right, Matthew and Mark are pretty.

  235. Close together, not a whole lot of difference there.

  236. Luke definitely has some additional things in there.

  237. Mark does too, but you know Luke a little bit more.

  238. And so we're going to embed them so that you can see them.

  239. So we'll just start again. We're going to be in Matthew

    Matthew 13:3–9

  240. chapter 13, verses 3 through 9, and then I'm going to insert

  241. these sections of Mark and Luke into this.

  242. It'll be Mark chapter 4 and Luke chapter 8.

Mark 4 chapter mention Luke 8 chapter mention

  243. All right, Matthew, chapter 13, verse 3 through 8, because

    Matthew 13:3–8

  244. again, we're talking. About harvest, we're talking

  245. about produce. God saved you not to go to

  246. heaven. He saved you to become a son

  247. that will bear fruit, to be a disciple.

  248. All right, And if fruit bearing was automatic, then we would not

  249. have the parable of the sower. All right, it's automatic in the

  250. Spirit. We can disrupt it.

  251. All right, let's go on. Says And He spoke many things to

  252. them in parable, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow, and

  253. as he sowed, some seed fell by the road.

  254. Did y'all copy and paste this? Let me look at this.

  255. Interesting. Feel like I've already missed a

  256. section. It's probably in the second.

  257. That's why I'm sorry. You're fine.

  258. And he spoke these things in parable, saying, behold, the

  259. sore went out to sow, and as he sowed, some seed fell by the

  260. road, and the birds came and ate it up, Luke 85 says.

  261. And it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the air ate it

  262. up. Others fell on the rocky places

  263. where they did not have much soil.

  264. Soil. And immediately they sprang up

  265. because they had no depth of soil.

  266. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched and.

  267. Because they had no root, they withered, Luke 86 says.

  268. It withered away because it had no.

  269. Moisture verse seven others fell among the thorns and the thorns

  270. came up and choked it out. Mark chapter 4 seven says and it

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  271. yielded no. Crop.

  272. And others fell on the good soil and yielded A crop, some a

  273. hundredfold, some 60, some 30, Mark 48 says.

  274. And they grew. Up and increased he who has

  275. ears. Let him hear.

  276. Now, Matthew chapter 13, verse 18 is the explanation of this

    Matthew 13:18

  277. parable. All right?

  278. And so we are going to look at this again.

  279. I'm going to insert the Mark and Luke account.

  280. It says hearing the parable of the sower.

  281. Mark says the. Sower shows the word Luke 8 says

  282. the. Seed is the word of God, Matthew

  283. verse 19 says and when anyone who hears the word of the

  284. Kingdom. So Mark tells us that the sower

  285. shows the word. Luke tells us that what he is

  286. sowing is a seed. In that seed is the word of God.

  287. Matthew says this seed is the Kingdom of God.

  288. It's the word of the. Kingdom OK, so this let me ask

  289. this question. Are we?

  290. Let me say this the The farmer has seed.

  291. Does he have one? It's important because again, if

  292. this is only about being born again, then it's just one.

  293. CI mean we are told to study the word and everything we study are

  294. seeds. If you're going to have the

  295. produce of healing, or the produce of provision, or the

  296. produce of a fruitful marriage, or the produce of great

  297. parenting, or the produce of being a good employee, or the

  298. produce you know of overcoming an obstacle, you're going to

  299. have to have that seed sown in you in order.

  300. Because again, if just being born again alone was enough

  301. without any other instruction, then I agree with you.

  302. We're wasting our time here because it should just, well, it

  303. just comes up automatic. I'm born again and it

  304. automatically shows up. Here it comes.

  305. I know everything to do without even reading.

  306. No, the word is sown, which tells us faith comes by as I'm

  307. speaking, I'm sowing, and whatever subject I'm speaking,

  308. I'm sowing. I'm sowing the word of God.

  309. I'm sowing the word of the Kingdom.

  310. Period. Now how this now let me just

  311. say, this is all the seed good seed, yes, there's nothing wrong

  312. with the seed. Tell what's wrong with the word

  313. of God. When is the word of God bad?

  314. Thank you. So it's not a seed problem.

  315. This is not a seed problem. So you can't have church hurt

  316. 'cause it's not a seed problem, it's not a seed problem, it's

  317. not a seed problem. This is the environment the seed

  318. is entering. It's the environment the seed is

  319. entering. And I'm sowing seed now into

  320. environments and OK, I mean, we'll just make it simple.

  321. God made man He. Formed Adam out of what?

  322. Thank you. The dust of the earth are dirt,

  323. so you're just a bunch of dirt fields that I'm sowing seed in.

  324. That God always expected a harvest out of you as his.

  325. Now what's in your. Field.

  326. Is up to you, say. Amen.

  327. Anyway, see This is why some people can receive the seed on

  328. certain subjects, but other subjects they do not receive the

  329. seed 'cause it goes on and says when anyone hears the word of

  330. the Kingdom and does not understand it.

  331. Now anyone in this room could fall.

  332. Victim to this? Because if you're here without

  333. intentionality to understand, then I will say I will sow a lot

  334. of seed that's going to fall to the wayside.

  335. The person to your left and right could be getting it, but

  336. you're not. So you actually have to have an

  337. intentionality when you come. It's not my responsibility to

  338. prepare your soil. It's yours.

  339. Now. If you have no intention to come

  340. in, to understand, then you'll leave.

  341. I didn't understand anything you said.

  342. And whose problem is that? Because there's nothing wrong

  343. with the seed. Now I understand that there can

  344. be people who preach wrong. I get that, but let's take that

  345. off the table. We're obviously talking about

  346. the intentionality that God saw. I see the harvest.

  347. It's ripe, you know. Are you know, there's a harvest

  348. out there. It's plentiful.

  349. There are plenty that can come into the Kingdom and bear fruit

  350. for. Me as disciples, I see their

  351. potential. We just need laborers.

  352. Laborers who will do more than cut it off and leave it in the

  353. field, but take it all the way through the process so that it

  354. can benefit humanity, so somebody can grow by that fruit.

  355. Their life can be changed by that.

  356. Fruit and we'll go through the whole process all right and so.

  357. We are delivering based upon the Jesus saw that listen fivefold

  358. ministry, sow that seed, speak that word, give them the context

  359. of the Kingdom so that it can produce.

  360. But if they have no understanding, do not come in

  361. ready, then in essence, the evil 1 comes and snatches away what

  362. has been sown in his heart. He won't even let you get you

  363. the front door. He may let you get you the car

  364. only for an argument to happen with your children or your

  365. spouse on the way home because the whole time you were here

  366. anyway, you were checking your social media or every

  367. notification that kept popping up and browsing through

  368. Pinterest and looking at different things.

  369. Right, you know, 'cause I love you all, but none of you have

  370. photographic memories. I'm just telling you now, some

  371. of you I will give this. I've had a few say fossil Earl.

  372. I, I, I don't always take a whole lot of notes because

  373. you're throwing so much and I know it's recorded and I go back

  374. and take notes and you know what?

  375. If you're disciplined, do that. Great.

  376. But there's a lot you can get by taking notes.

  377. And I use my electronic device too, you know, So sometimes you

  378. have to turn off notifications so you don't get distracted,

  379. especially if the game's on, You want to get a score update.

  380. These are all things that hinder your understanding and God could

  381. drop something that now it's not the seed problem, it was your

  382. problem. All right.

  383. So he goes on to say Luke 812 says that he'll snatch the evil

  384. and snatch so they will not believe and be saved.

  385. Now this word saved is not the word for born again.

  386. Now what do I mean by that? It's not isolated to only being

  387. born again. This word saved, when you look

  388. it up, not only deals with being born again, but it deals with

  389. any issue of life. Because what's the Bible say?

  390. He will deliver you out of how many?

  391. All of your plural not trouble. Well, you're in trouble.

  392. The only trouble you have is that you're going to go to hell

  393. when you die. But if you'll get born again,

  394. then you won't have to worry about that and you have no more

  395. trouble. No, he'll deliver you out of all

  396. your trouble. You're in financial trouble.

  397. He'll, he will save you. He'll save your body from

  398. sickness and disease. He'll save your marriage.

  399. He'll save your, your job. He'll, I mean, he's, he's

  400. constantly saving. I mean, everything he does is

  401. about saving you so that the enemy doesn't get, you know,

  402. something on you. We're not even ignorant of the

  403. devil's devices. So you getting a pickle?

  404. Guess what? You can go to the throne of

  405. grace. He's extremely merciful and

  406. he'll give you help in your time of and that's not only to be

  407. born again. So the devil he is, he is.

  408. He is trying to distract you when seed is being sown.

  409. This is why sometimes I have had meetings in the past with people

  410. that have not been in church and their life is going all kind of

  411. crazy. They meet and then when we're

  412. talking about their life, I'm like, oh man, if you had just

  413. been in service, we have been talking about how to handle all

  414. these obstacles. In essence, God knew this was

  415. coming before you did. He put seed in you so that you

  416. can bear the fruit in order to overcome.

  417. But if you're not in the seat, let me say this, you can't sow

  418. to your own life alone. You can't do it because if you

  419. could sow to yourself the word alone, then there's no need for

  420. the fivefold ministry. But the hand cannot tell the I

  421. have no and God. Placed those gifts in.

  422. And those gifts are to equip you, which means those gifts

  423. have a huge responsibility to be doing the greatest amount of

  424. sewing into your life. Now here's the difference

  425. between. A YouTube sewer and I'm sewing

  426. because the YouTube. Sewer can sow seed and you can

  427. get it and get excited. But I'm here saying Pastor

  428. Danny, we've got some weeds. Well, how do you know?

  429. Cuz I'm around you. I hear how you talk.

  430. I see how you walk. I see how you do this.

  431. The YouTube sewer doesn't see this.

  432. So the YouTube sewer is not in your field.

  433. They're just a commercial selling you some kind of product

  434. to try to help you. But yet me, I'm in your field.

  435. I'm all up in your field, Don. I mean, you feel I'm like we're

  436. going to have to deal with that because that's not the produce

  437. that God intended. Hallelujah, y'all doing all

  438. right. I think I just snatched my my

  439. mic. All right, y'all can still hear

  440. me. OK, let's go on.

  441. So. The enemy again all listen.

  442. Do you understand the devil himself, his number one target

  443. in your life is to keep you from the word.

  444. I mean, that's such a profound, simple truth.

  445. And yet we put less value on the word because if he can, and

  446. we'll see if he can do other things.

  447. I mean, he knows what the objective is, all right, because

  448. he knows the power of the word. He knows the power all right.

  449. Verse 20 so the one whom seed was sown on the rocky places.

  450. This is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it

  451. with joy. We even run around the church.

  452. Yet he, yet he. Has no firm root in himself, but

  453. is only temporary and when afflictions.

  454. Or persecutions arise because of the word immediately.

  455. He falls away immediately. Are you hearing what I'm saying

  456. now in the just parable portion talking about the the seed sown

  457. on the rocky places? It says it's scorched, it

  458. Withers away and Luke said it had no moisture.

  459. You know moisture, right? It is the washing of the water

  460. of the word. You cannot come here here and

  461. shout and then have no additional watering with your

  462. own personal life. You do not retain moisture.

  463. If all you're doing is showing up once a week or two times a

  464. month. There's no moisture retention

  465. because Jesus said in this life you will have.

  466. Trials and tribulations, right? Because again.

  467. The devil just does not want you to release who you are in

  468. Christ. And in order to release who you

  469. are in Christ, you must be a doer of the Word, which is a

  470. disciple that produces fruit, and he's afraid of your fruit.

  471. So he's after your fruit because he has no problem with carnal

  472. Christians. He doesn't care if you're saved

  473. as long as you don't produce the fruit of the Kingdom, because if

  474. you act like everybody else, you're actually a better

  475. billboard for him because you help people delay a response to

  476. the Lord because they through your life expect that.

  477. It's just an afterlife question. And again, we've said it here at

  478. Anchor Bay Church multiple times, and that is this.

  479. Jesus was not selling a deaf gospel.

  480. Where are you going to go when you die?

  481. That was never his intent, nor was it his question.

  482. What he was giving was sonship. And that's available now.

  483. And the Kingdom can manifest in our lives today the full

  484. benefits of it. Hallelujah.

  485. I mean, I don't understand why a believer will want to delay when

  486. they do not have to. All right, so here we have the

  487. rocks. There's no moisture, pressure or

  488. the heat of life, right? You're going to get in a hot

  489. spot. Let's say it that way.

  490. Everybody gets in a hot spot. All right?

  491. The question is, how are you going to handle it?

  492. Because again, running around on a Sunday, lifting your hands on

  493. a Sunday, shouting on a Sunday is not fruit.

  494. That's right. If it never replicates on

  495. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I mean, singing unto the Lord,

  496. praising Him is not a religious exercise.

  497. It's an outflow of gratitude. And that's in any circumstance,

  498. but again when people do not have a root system and the

  499. reason why many do not have root systems or a person wouldn't

  500. have. Colin, would you please bring me

  501. another piece of tape? I have ripped this and it is

  502. just going crazy and I am like hating life and I'm glad we're

  503. not filming tonight so we can fix this problem.

  504. Say Amen. So the reason why many people

  505. aren't producing fruit is because, honestly, they don't

  506. get planted, Yeah. Just put it back on.

  507. We've been here for 22 years. This has happened.

  508. I don't know, only a couple times maybe.

  509. Thanks, Colin. All right, I feel way more

  510. secure now. Let me just let me just unpack a

  511. couple things. OK, so.

  512. I love it when people come to Anchor Faith Church because all

  513. of a sudden they start hearing stuff they've not heard and

  514. they're like, wow, this is amazing, right?

  515. Sabrina, how long you been here Now?

  516. Three. Oh, yeah.

  517. There's a lot in the three. Three to five year.

  518. Can we tell you where you're at? You're at the place where.

  519. The enemy's like, let's see if they know what they think they

  520. know. And it's amazing as an apostle

  521. and pastor, you start hearing all these little challenges

  522. happening. Well, it's to find out, are you

  523. a disciple or are you just a Amen?

  524. As long as there's no issue because the minute the pressure

  525. comes, do you stand up underneath and bear or do you

  526. wither away and die? You get swept out of the church

  527. you'd like this thing really ain't working.

  528. This don't work for me. Everybody's saying that you

  529. could have and I this is not happening.

  530. It's because you start saying something contrary to what you

  531. were taught. You have no firm root.

  532. You're only response because here's the thing, they hear the

  533. word. They receive it with joy, but

  534. what they're doing is it's temporary because all their

  535. experience is just technically emotional.

  536. And they have these emotional responses because you get in the

  537. presence of God, you're going to have emotions.

  538. But God's more than emotion. He's spirit and he will affect

  539. your emotion, but he wants to affect your spirit.

  540. And a firm persuasion is, it doesn't matter what I'm going

  541. through, I know my God will. But someone who just hears

  542. recedes with joy. But it's temporary.

  543. They're not really meditating. They're not allowing it to seep

  544. in. They're not allowing their their

  545. roots. They're jumping all over the

  546. place, going to this conference, going to this one, maybe jumping

  547. from this church to this church, you know, cuz hey, we're all the

  548. body of Christ. Well, I'm glad we're all the

  549. body of Christ. But you're not producing any

  550. fruit in any of the places you're going because you're

  551. dancing and shouting and saying Hallelujah and being nice isn't

  552. enough to produce the fruit when the heat happens.

  553. And again, it's not a seed problem because here's the thing

  554. about this. The seed has turned into a

  555. plant. But God's not trying to have a

  556. plant. He wants the fruit of the vine.

  557. Are you hearing me? OK, so let's go on, says in the

  558. one in whom the seed was sown among the thorns.

  559. This is the man who hears the word and the worry of the world

  560. and the deceitfulness of wealth, Mark 4 says, and the desire for

  561. other things. Enter in Luke 8 says, pleasures

  562. of this life. Oh my goodness, choke the word

  563. and it becomes unfruitful. Chokes the word.

  564. And what's crazy about this? I years ago, I preached a

  565. message called the choke conspiracy.

  566. Because what the devil does in this is that everything you go

  567. after yourself without God, with God you can actually have.

  568. And he deceives you that you can't have it with him.

  569. You've got to go out on your own.

  570. Look how much you're sacrificing.

  571. Look how much better everyone's living.

  572. Look how much more money you can make.

  573. You know, this is the thing that happens, what people call the

  574. ministry because they don't know how to actually add up how much

  575. God is doing. I would love to put my life up

  576. against a corporate person. I would like to find out how

  577. much they're paying into their healthcare from their paycheck

  578. and all that money they've done. And then every time they've had

  579. to go and every prescription they've had a co-pay, but every

  580. surgery they've had everything because again, they're subject

  581. to all that. And then me, I don't go to the

  582. hospital and it is because I am in the will of God, staying in

  583. his plan. Looking back at the faithfulness

  584. God, I'm like wow, God knows knows how to keep you healthy.

  585. He's the best healthcare system ever and when certain symptoms

  586. came. I went to the to the Kingdom

  587. asked the Lord, how do you want me to handle this and when I did

  588. it his way every time I recovered and most of the time

  589. within 24 hours. Now, if I equated that to just

  590. spending money in the natural, are you hearing me again?

  591. I say this, and we've done this before.

  592. We've done the Corps of Engineering.

  593. Engineers could build a bridge across the Red Sea.

  594. It can be accomplished and money can do it.

  595. But how much money did the Lord do at a word?

  596. Not even a word Moses raised. And so he parts the sea, he goes

  597. on dry ground. And yet we're.

  598. Chasing Can I give you one small nugget that I gave the king the

  599. first business alliance? It's a rich young ruler goes to

  600. Jesus. What must we do to inherit

  601. eternal life? The poor go to the rich, but the

  602. rich go to Jesus. The poor is always trying to get

  603. rich, but the rich in their wealth already knows it doesn't

  604. satisfy for life, so they go to Jesus.

  605. So why don't you just cut out the rich?

  606. Go to Jesus because he is prosperity.

  607. OK. I'm just saying a lot of times

  608. people don't. I mean, when I think about the

  609. blessings in my life, I mean, how do you, how do you calculate

  610. that? I mean, if you did an honest

  611. assessment, I do try to develop us as critical thinkers because

  612. a lot of times we have these fantasies of things instead of

  613. realities. Because what happens is here's a

  614. person who can hear the word and then starts getting distracted

  615. about what's going on out here outside the church.

  616. Because the world sells itself, and what good?

  617. Is it a man to gain the whole and forfeit your SO?

  618. It's not worth it, but yet he will work on it.

  619. He'll get you worried about things.

  620. Are you being worried about all the wars and rumors of wars?

  621. Jesus happened to let us know this is going to happen.

  622. So. Don't wring your hands and be

  623. worried. Just stay with the king.

  624. You'll be protected. Run into his fortress and you'll

  625. be. Those are real words.

  626. See, this is what a person will produce fruit because they'll be

  627. confident in the word of God, not in their own ability, and

  628. they'll know that God will do what he says he'll do.

  629. So the worry of the world, the deceitfulness of wealth.

  630. I mean, God has no problem with you being wealthy.

  631. He has no problem with that. There's plenty of wealthy people

  632. that followed God. But yet if you're looking to it,

  633. if you think, well, if I could just get some more, we can

  634. finally get out, you're wrong. That's a deception because

  635. money's not your real problem. I mean, you understand God can

  636. drop provision like nobody's business.

  637. I mean, it's really no problem. There's other issues that are

  638. going on. Then the next one is the desire

  639. for other things. All of a sudden you desire what

  640. somebody else has or what something else or a different

  641. type of life instead of the plan and purpose God has for your

  642. life or just the pleasures in life.

  643. And let me tell you, when you live a.

  644. Life unto the Lord to where you are thankful for what God's

  645. done, but you realize life is bigger than me and I'm supposed

  646. to invest and bear fruit so that I can give off to someone else.

  647. So you're always, you know, thinking about others as well.

  648. Then there comes It's easy to see so many selfish people doing

  649. things for their own, coming and going when they want to, right?

  650. And they make it sound so glorious, but it's not.

  651. It's called deception. The only glorious place to be is

  652. in the slap will of God. The rest of it is actually a

  653. fantasy and a fairy tale. But what will it do it It chokes

  654. the word because in these three cases, the first thing if he can

  655. get you to come to church or not.

  656. Basically, you have no desire to understand.

  657. I mean, I'll even go further because I have to deal with when

  658. I talk with our business people, I actually gave them a pop quiz

  659. and I said, name these four things that I said out of this

  660. they couldn't do. And I said, why should I give

  661. you something else if you haven't even got that down yet?

  662. Once again, what will they do with their business strategy?

  663. They'll go to the world and people in their market learn all

  664. that stuff, pay money to learn it.

  665. Yet God has all the answers. But we really don't value that

  666. because again, the rich young ruler comes to Jesus, because

  667. again, God forbid that the Church can actually give you a

  668. plan. Jacob received a plan of

  669. prosperity from the Lord, and so did Joseph.

  670. Joseph. Didn't say we need to have a

  671. seminar, you know, you know, of any other countries that have,

  672. you know, say a strategic, you know, crop accumulation so that

  673. we can save it, You know, you know anybody who's an expert in

  674. that. I mean, if the church has just

  675. fallen into a left, it's the deceitfulness, because again,

  676. the world knows how to make its money because the devil knows

  677. how to distribute to keep you from what?

  678. Being fruitful because your wealth is not fruit.

  679. That's right. I'm going to show you that the

  680. fruit of disciple Nowhere is one of our fruits, finance being.

  681. Prosperous does not prove you're a disciple.

  682. I'll say Amen anyway. OK, so it chokes the word, It

  683. becomes fruitful. Luke 8 says and brings.

  684. No fruit to maturity, man. So what's worse about this

  685. particular one is that your seed will turn into a plant and

  686. actually fruit will show up on your vine, but before we can

  687. harvest. It it never ripens, it never

  688. matures. And you've heard me tell the

  689. story about the banana, right? I'll say it again because some

  690. haven't been here, have a banana tree in my yard.

  691. And, you know, it was green and it just kept doing green, you

  692. know, and I was waiting. On it, I didn't know the sign.

  693. I've since learned the sign, but I did not know the sign.

  694. And it did turn a little yellow. And I'm like, OK.

  695. And I pulled that thing off and I opened it, you know, and it's

  696. a little, you know, you know how some of the Publix ones are

  697. like, right? And I was expecting Publix,

  698. right? It's, you know, not real soft,

  699. but that's OK. I don't know what to expect.

  700. I've never technically eaten a banana off the actual tree,

  701. right? It was a small. 1 So I peeled it

  702. and I'm expecting it's going to be like one of those act and

  703. I've been into it and it had no moisture.

  704. It sucked all of the saliva. I mean it was worse than peanut

  705. butter. It was crazy.

  706. I was like, I mean, I, I. Felt like I was getting stuck,

  707. my mouth was getting stuck. I was like.

  708. It was so disgusting. It was so deceptive.

  709. I've been waiting on this doggone thing to turn yellow and

  710. finally get a little bit yellow on this thing.

  711. I mean, it was enough. It covered it.

  712. And it's probably when he's like, you know, Publix ones,

  713. that's not really ready, but it's yellow.

  714. And here we go. And man, it was nasty.

  715. So at that point, I just thought they were all bad.

  716. I did not know how to harvest the bananas correctly.

  717. And again, if your fruit doesn't come to maturity, you're going

  718. to leave a bad taste. Cause fruit bearing isn't just

  719. for you to taste and see that the Lord is good because the

  720. farmer gets a part of the harvest.

  721. The, the, you don't muzzle the ox that treads out the corn.

  722. The farmer gets his share of the crop so that he can taste and

  723. see. But then he has so much fruit

  724. that he's able to give it out. You know, if all you can do is

  725. produce fruit for your wife and your children, but you can't do

  726. it for no other family, You're you don't have a very big

  727. harvest. I mean you should produce enough

  728. fruit in your. Life you're like I can't consume

  729. this all myself I'm just going to give it away Mr. Berry comes

  730. in here a lot of times during the harvest season for his what

  731. are those calm quam quads So what is whoo man them things can

  732. smell when they're ripe I mean they're.

  733. Like or guavas. The Guavas.

  734. Bro, you know when he brings the guavas in the church, it's like,

  735. wow, they leave a smell, right? But he has so many, he has to

  736. give it away. Don't you want to walk in so

  737. much fruit? You're just giving it away.

  738. All right, Verse 23 And the one whom the seed was sown in the

  739. good soil. This is the man who hears the

  740. word and understands that indeed bears fruit and brings forth

  741. some 100, some 60, some 3030 Mark says.

  742. And they hear the word and accept it.

  743. So it's not just hearing, but it's accepting it.

  744. That means you're putting it in practice.

  745. You're a doer of the word because everybody's hearing

  746. right now, but is everyone doing?

  747. Are you accepting meaning I? Accept God's way of doing it,

  748. not my way. I accept that because if I

  749. accept God's way, then I'll bear the fruit of God.

  750. So the. Fruit production of the Kingdom

  751. in your life is still dependent on you.

  752. It's all dependent on you, Luke 8 says one who have heard the

  753. word in an honest and good heart.

  754. And hold it fast and bear fruit with perseverance, which tells

  755. us when Jesus says the field is right with harvest, the harvest

  756. is plentiful. He could, he was having an

  757. imagination of what's the word if, if we can have people to.

  758. Labor to sow were the word into their lives.

  759. It can bring them into another Kingdom by which it can produce

  760. a fruit and 3060 and a hundredfold can be moving in

  761. their lives. And everyone can begin to see,

  762. because they bear fruit and prove, prove that.

  763. They are my disciples. Prove prove all right, let's do

  764. a few more things. Luke chapter 3 verse 8 says

    Luke 3:8

  765. therefore bear fruit in keeping with so if you've really

  766. repented may Jesus the Lord of your life and want the Kingdom

  767. of God you seek first the Kingdom, then you should bear

  768. fruit in keeping with repentance and a repentance is not a

  769. religious word. It means change your thinking.

  770. So you have to change your thinking about how you're

  771. healed. You have to change your thinking

  772. and how your marriage is. You need to change your thinking

  773. and your relationships with you know all your relationships.

  774. You need to change your thinking and you know how you pursue life

  775. a career. You need to change your thinking

  776. and all that, and you need to do it God's way because you're

  777. going to encounter those in the other Kingdom and the enemy is

  778. coming after you to determine is it really sewn in you in

  779. something good? Have you held that thing?

  780. Because when you hold that thing, he can't take it out,

  781. can't snatch it away, and it doesn't matter how hard he

  782. tries. No weapon formed against you can

  783. prosper. It doesn't matter if he sows

  784. tears with you. You can continue to grow and

  785. you'll pull out the bad at the harvest time, and all you're

  786. going to do is the good. Because it's really not a part

  787. of you in the first place. So that that tear has been

  788. slapping up against you the whole time in the field.

  789. But you were like, I know I'm wheat.

  790. I'm only wheat. I'm never going to go to a tear.

  791. I'm never going to act like a tear.

  792. I'm not going to think like a tear.

  793. I'm not going to be a tear. And the harvest is coming.

  794. And when the harvest comes that that's been trying to beat

  795. against me, counterfeit me at life, want me to, to, to be

  796. become it. It'll be pulled away, cast and

  797. burned. And then here I am producing the

  798. fruit. I'm doing it.

  799. And in these last days, when it says some will fall away from

  800. the faith and Minnie's heart will wax cold, that means

  801. there's going to be a lot of unfruitfulness.

  802. Yet they're going to say I'm saved and we have to say good.

  803. Now let's bear fruit in keeping with repentance, right that way

  804. your life in in others you don't leave a bad taste.

  805. Look what it says in John 15 got about three more scriptures,

  806. maybe 4 John 15 one and two. It says this, I am the true vine

  807. and my father is a vine. Dresser every branch in me that

  808. does not man bear fruit. He takes away and every branch

  809. that bears fruit he prunes so that it What now?

  810. This. Is very powerful.

  811. So again, let's just be hypothetical.

  812. I mean, let's not be hypothetical.

  813. Let's use the scripture. The scripture says the seed is

  814. the word of God. So the seed produces a vine.

  815. The vine is the Lord. We become a branch where we are

  816. engrafted in, but we are part of the branch.

  817. So the vine looks at the branch that is in it and examines, not

  818. its union. Oh y'all don't?

  819. It's not saying Oh yeah, but it's in me being in doesn't

  820. guarantee fruit production. See everyone and I it's.

  821. Troubling, guys. Listen, the Bible, it we say

  822. theology, it is the study of God.

  823. We're not even studying God. But when we talk about God, you

  824. know, we get on such a tangent about God doing everything and

  825. we do nothing. You're not going to see that in

  826. Scripture where God does everything and man does nothing.

  827. You'll see in Scripture where God does what God does and man

  828. does what man does because God is not having you in union with

  829. him without producing the fruit of his nature.

  830. Because again and and listen, this lets us know these are not

  831. one time events because there's fruit seasons pruning for more

  832. fruit. So, so we already see the first

  833. one. If you don't even bear fruit,

  834. this is problematic because who's doing the cutting of the

  835. branch off? The Lord.

  836. I can say a lot more there, but I won't.

  837. But every branch in me Jesus says that does not bear fruit.

  838. It's not a fake branch, guys. This is not like a branch that

  839. was taped on and never engrafted in.

  840. This is actually of God. So that means they're born

  841. again. They're in me.

  842. We use this term all the time here in Christ, in Christ, in

  843. Christ, in Christ. You are the righteous of God in

  844. Christ. Well, if you're the righteous of

  845. God in Christ, you should produce the fruit.

  846. But yet we see very clearly Jesus, the head of the church

  847. says there's some in me that when I'm examining that branch,

  848. no fruit production. And we had another parable that

  849. that we see the same thing. The master comes in and says

  850. this tree has not bear fruit for three years, cut it down.

  851. He says, master, give me another year.

  852. I'm gonna dig around. I'm gonna fertilize it, go water

  853. it, put a tint to it because God's not at God never intended

  854. for you to hang out as a branch and not produce.

  855. So again, when people like man, if you go to church that's

  856. always wanting you to produce, be productive, that's called the

  857. Bible. The rest is called a branch that

  858. he himself is cutting off. But the one that does bear

  859. fruit, look at this, what's he do?

  860. He proves This is why you're going to come to service.

  861. You're going to be here for three years, Sabrina, you're

  862. going to go through something. You're going to be like, thank

  863. God I had that word because that word is coming to stand up.

  864. And when this hit me and that hit me, man, I was able to stand

  865. and I didn't yield and I didn't go to my emotions and I didn't

  866. fall apart and I didn't complain.

  867. I stayed with the word. And then you produce that fruit

  868. and he's like, wow, that was really awesome.

  869. Look at all that I did through you because you believe me, your

  870. roots were in good soil. Look at how you produced in this

  871. tribe. Tribulation, this test.

  872. Now guess what we're going into the next season because you ate

  873. the fruit to get through and you gave the fruit away to go

  874. through. Now there's no fruit.

  875. So now he proves you. He says now we could, we could.

  876. Do a little more. How about let's cut this weight

  877. off because that says every weight and sin that so easily.

  878. You know what, this is not a sin.

  879. But, you know, let's let's just get that out your life.

  880. And why am I doing? It's going to be more fruit

  881. production for you. So technically we should.

  882. As we mature and cry, we should have more fruit being produced

  883. season after season. You need to learn how to

  884. discern. Are you being unfruitful in a

  885. season? I mean, you better get something

  886. on the branch. You do not want to go through

  887. multiple seasons where there's no fruit.

  888. It's just, well, I'm going to go to heaven when I die.

  889. John 15 five says I'm the bond. You are the branches.

  890. He who abides in me and I and him he, he bears what much fruit

  891. for apart from me he can do nothing.

  892. Galatians 522 to 23. What fruit are you going to

  893. produce but the fruit? That the Spirit produces of the

  894. Holy Ghost in you in a person's life is Lovejoy, peace,

  895. patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and

  896. self-control doesn't say a big bank account.

  897. Now the Spirit in you owns the planet, but the fruit we are

  898. going to be eating ourselves. I'm going to be eating the love

  899. of God here. I'm going to eat the joy of the

  900. Lord. I want to cry, but I'm going to

  901. get over and joy. I am going to get into joy,

  902. right? The morning may last for the

  903. night, but joy comes in the morning and I'm going to give

  904. myself enjoy how to get yourself enjoy.

  905. You begin to read all the scripture about joy and when

  906. your situation makes you want to, you're like, yes, God, yes,

  907. you're so good. Oh my God, you're so good and

  908. you got to get yourself there. It produces for you.

  909. But then you get around people at work.

  910. Now you're like, oh man, you're so happy today.

  911. You know, this ain't happy. This this joy that I have.

  912. The world didn't give it to me, right?

  913. I mean, it's some like, you know, you're beyond happy.

  914. I mean, there's something different about well, let me

  915. you're just giving it away and you're going through the worst

  916. trial and tribulation of your life.

  917. And everybody work then they find out and they're like, we

  918. didn't, we never. And you were giving away joy.

  919. And they're like, how did you stay like that during that?

  920. I mean, y'all, some of you have siblings.

  921. Their whole life is a mess and yet God wants you to give them

  922. the fruit of how to handle the situation so that they're like,

  923. how can you be at peace? Why?

  924. Because I have a root system of victories of the Lord overcoming

  925. in life and we go overcoming this one.

  926. No problem. It's going to happen.

  927. So I close with this verse, Matthew 720.

  928. It says this so then you will know them by their fruits.

  929. Notice it doesn't say you'll know them by their confession

  930. that Jesus is Lord. You'll know them by their fruit.

  931. The reason why a lot of times people aren't going to the

  932. Lord's because the Lord will talk to you about your fruit.

  933. That's what he's going to do Lord, I'm the he said, well, I

  934. want you to do this. Why?

  935. Can't. Alright, you do something.

  936. Like you do something, do what I'm saying because I'm going to

  937. come through, right? And again, pastor, I need to

  938. meet with you. I got this challenge, OK.

  939. And then we say, well, what does the word say?

  940. Because we're sowing a seed, because we want the fruit of

  941. this to manifest in your situation.

  942. Now hold to it. Don't let go of it.

  943. But you don't. That's irrelevant.

  944. This works. It works every time.

  945. And then you get around and you start hearing a little chatter

  946. here and letting you're like, hey, hey, hey, you're bringing

  947. the wrong things into your field.

  948. You're losing moisture, you're having anxiety.

  949. You're that's not don't put that in your field.

  950. That's to try to. Get you so you can't bear fruit.

  951. Well, you know, we got so many child.

  952. I'm going to have to take a fourth job.

  953. I need to get two or three more. I can't come to church.

  954. You're going to have to understand.

  955. So God wants you to go get 3 or 4 jobs to work this out and not

  956. come to church. Oh man, you know you've got a

  957. man. Don't work, you're already

  958. working. That's not your problem.

  959. You need to get a plan from actually God because sometimes

  960. I'm like, well are you giving? How can I give?

  961. I'm so how can you not? Because that is the spiritual

  962. principle. Give and it shall be.

  963. But again, God's ways are contrary to the world's ways.

  964. But it's fruit the world doesn't have.

  965. So we are produce because we produce the word of God in our

  966. lives.
