Expecting the Door to More

-
Today, I told you on Sunday that today is like a appetizer for
-
this weekend. And you know, obviously I
-
recognize we're going to be here Friday night, Saturday, Saturday
-
night and then Sunday morning, Sunday night.
-
And and so being aware of that, I have it in my spirit that this
-
is to prepare you for. And here's the thing, you know,
-
obviously on Wednesday night, you want everyone on Sunday to
-
show up on Wednesday at the end of the day.
-
I don't believe there should be a drop off.
-
You know, now if people work during this time, that's a
-
different ball game. But if they do not work, I don't
-
care if you got you have kids, your children in sports, I don't
-
care if you're coming from work. And you know, when you work on,
-
you know, sanitation truck come doesn't matter.
-
Just show up because there's things God wants to impart.
-
But when you do come on Wednesday and Sunday, then what
-
that typically means is that you're really wanting to be a
-
disciple and that you're hungry for the word of God.
-
And it's amazing what God can do with hunger, what he can do with
-
hunger because God desires that none would perish.
-
Now that's a desire, but that's not going to happen.
-
He desires that none would perish, but that all would come
-
to repentance. But we know not all are going to
-
come to repentance. And when they stand before him
-
on that day, the Great White Throne Judgment, He's going to
-
let them know every opportunity they had to hear and hear, and
-
they did hear and yet didn't receive him.
-
Amen. So again, you know, we go
-
through life a lot of times, you know, and if we don't watch out,
-
you know, we're picking, you know, what we do, when we do,
-
how we do. And the reality is God's going
-
to hold us accountable to all the opportunities he set before
-
you. And did you make those
-
opportunities? All right, These are divine
-
appointments. And, you know, I could see a
-
service going every day. It could happen you know could
-
the world get so bad that we need to assemble everyday just
-
to keep ourselves sane and in the word and focus on the things
-
of God. If that's what was necessary,
-
sure. However, you know God does have
-
divine times that he wants to do things with congregations.
-
Obviously with us. We're doing a Kingdom rise
-
coming this Friday and those who are set aside time something
-
very specific to do some different impartation.
-
So tonight I want to talk to you about expecting, because
-
expecting is the door for more. It is a door for more.
-
Now you should expect every service, don't get me wrong, but
-
not every service is set up the same.
-
You know, there is a services that we do on Sunday, Wednesday,
-
things we do with the schools, things we do with the men on
-
Monday. I mean, there's a repetition and
-
a discipline aspect of that. And that's a part of God.
-
In fact, one of the keys of being a disciple is you must be
-
disciplined. All right.
-
But then there are times that God does the extraordinary.
-
He does things a little bit different than just the
-
day-to-day. He shows up in ways that are not
-
common. You didn't expect in you're
-
expecting because when you do expect, you give the Lord the
-
license to go exceeding abundantly far beyond what you
-
could think or imagine, which tells us you're thinking you're
-
imagining. This is why your imagination you
-
should cultivate because the minute I hit that scripture that
-
God will do exceedingly abundantly beyond what I can
-
think or imagine, I'm like, I need to be a thinker and I need
-
to be at imagine big because then it it puts God in the
-
position and says, Oh, you think that's something amazing.
-
How about this? And then all of a sudden,
-
something you weren't even thinking about, our imagining is
-
even bigger than you thought. Because I mean, how can our
-
finite minds even get around our creator God?
-
However, we should strive to want to know him, Paul said.
-
I want to know him. I want to know him, you know, so
-
we want to have a discipline and that's not a knowing him when we
-
go to heaven. That's a knowing him day in and
-
day out, knowing intimately, how does he function?
-
What's he doing? How can I be involved with the
-
work that he's doing because he wants to Co labor with me
-
because I'm Co laboring with him.
-
And there are many things we can do together, but expectation
-
really opens up the door for more.
-
So I'm going to show you this in Acts chapter 3, starting in
Acts 3 chapter mention
-
verse one through 5, it says now Peter and John were going up to
-
the temple at the 9th hour, the hour of prayer, OK.
-
And it went on to say that the man who had and a man who had
-
been lame from his mother's womb was being carried along, whom
-
they used to sit down every day. How many days?
-
Every day. So when's the hour to pray?
-
The 9th hour. But how many days?
-
Apparently every day. Something's going on at temple
-
every day because if nothing was going, if this guy came to the
-
US churches, right? I mean, you better get the
-
mother lode one day, you know, most.
-
Anyway, he went there every day at the of the temple, which is
-
called beautiful, OK, in order to beg arms of those who were
-
entering the temple. Now, why is he doing this?
-
Oh, first of all, he's going to a place where God dwells #2 he's
-
going to a place where people are the probably the most
-
compassionate, right? In essence, he's going to God,
-
although he's not in the temple. And you understand, if we were
-
under if, if he's up underneath the thought of the law, there's
-
some challenges that go with being in the temple anyway.
-
And I'm not going to get into all the challenges that get into
-
that. But there were some issues,
-
especially if people had issues with blood couldn't even go
-
worship in the temple. The leprosies couldn't go into
-
the temple. You know, there was many things
-
that restricted them from being in there.
-
So here he is, he's going to God, he's going to the gate.
-
He's allowing God's people to come past him.
-
He obviously cannot work. If he could work, he would work,
-
but he cannot. So he's left to this lifestyle
-
of basically looking for the generosity of those who go to
-
the creator in heaven and earth to give to the poor.
-
All right, so it says when Peter and John came, right, they saw
-
when when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he
-
was asking to receive alms. So obviously he asked the
-
question. You have not caused you all
-
right? But Peter along with John fixed
-
his gaze on him and said. Now he, the beggar saw Peter.
-
He asked. And why is he asking?
-
Because he's expecting something.
-
Why is he even at the gate? Because he's like if he
-
expected. I never get anything when I go
-
to this temple. Every time I show up, no one
-
ever gives me a thing. I never get a thing.
-
Nothing ever happens. Well, there's no expectation,
-
you know what I'm saying? He's like, why am I going there?
-
He's going somewhere where there's an expectation and he is
-
expecting to receive. So here's he's expecting to
-
receive alms, right? But Peter, because that he's in
-
a layer of expectation. Peter moved into a Mordor
-
because this man's never coming to the temple with this thought
-
about what's about to happen. He is coming to God in provision
-
God's people with compassion. There's an expectation that I
-
will receive. I don't know where this guy's
-
hearts at entirely, although we probably can see it pretty
-
clear. The minute that happened, either
-
that was an instant conversion or his heart was towards God.
-
He just had limitations. He could not, you know, exercise
-
his praise as much as he wanted to in his condition.
-
Regardless, we see here that Peter fixed his gaze on him and
-
said look at us and he began to give them his attention.
-
Here it is expecting to receive something from them.
-
What's he expecting money. OK now Peter let's go on next
-
verse says this. Oh that's stop there five.
-
OK Peter then just goes on to say what silver and gold I have
-
none. Although he had gold, he just
-
saying I'm not going, I'm not giving you what you want.
-
I'm going to give you what you're not expecting.
-
We God decided to do an exceeding abundant for you today
-
because God just doesn't want you in the receiving mode.
-
God wants you to be able to not only receive, but to be able to
-
give because he's in a position that basically he's receiving.
-
Now, I'm not saying he couldn't give his arms away.
-
I'm just saying he's not productive in society because he
-
cannot work because he's lame from his mother's womb.
-
But God just elevated his status of life.
-
You know what we're talking about and not a, a Western
-
philosophy here. You know, in the Eastern there
-
was, there were classes of people, you know, and, and, and
-
these individuals that were beggars, you know, they were
-
looked down upon. God just elevated him out of
-
that. He was no longer limited to a
-
type of work. And so as a result of that,
-
Peter says they weren't going to have none but what I do have I
-
give to you in the name of Jesus, rise up and walk grabs
-
him and snatches his up out of the ground.
-
He didn't say how are you feeling?
-
Didn't do they said come on now try.
-
Can you let me let's work a little bit.
-
The Bible says that that he snatched him up.
-
Peter was so convinced he had heard God without any evidence
-
of what he heard, he grabs the man and snatches him up.
-
And when his legs came out from his cloak, they were
-
strengthened and hit the ground strong.
-
Now I'm not telling you they were Pastor Mike's legs when
-
they came out. They probably look more like
-
mine. However, they had strength to
-
them, right? OK, so he pulled him up.
-
There he is. This man received more than he
-
expected, but he did not come without expectation.
-
If you understand, here's the thing.
-
If, if you do not come to any service, you know, if you do not
-
come to service expecting, then you're getting exactly what you
-
came for. If you're coming with this, show
-
me. Let's see what you got.
-
You're not getting anything. You understand God does not move
-
on people like that because he's had plenty of religion.
-
People say, well, you far show me a miracle.
-
Do some. He's like you seek.
-
All you do is seek a sign. What did he say about those
-
people? He said, you perverse and wicked
-
generation, all you do is seek a sign.
-
Now, there's nothing wrong with science.
-
God uses science to declare that God's full of authority, power,
-
He's supreme. The point though, is when we
-
have expectation, it moves God not only to meet your
-
expectation, but to exceed your expectation.
-
But if you just like, well, if this is really God in this
-
place, let's just see what happened.
-
Well, you know what? You'll walk out not thinking he
-
was here and he's jumped all around you and you didn't even
-
know because God's not obligated to, to prove himself to you.
-
He's God. He's God.
-
I said he's God. So we have to keep our mindset
-
in this. I'm expecting God.
-
I mean, I'm going to tell you I've not arrived to a place
-
where I don't, I don't need to expect anything.
-
I mean, how much more? The more I discover about God,
-
the more I realized what I still don't know.
-
And it drives me to want to know and desire to know and to see
-
things happen, you know, and experience things happen and to
-
be sometimes I'm just, a lot of times I come in to just expect
-
God to do something in someone else's life so they know that
-
God meets their expectation. And if that happens, I'm like,
-
praise God because I know, I know that he's alive, that he
-
loves me, that he cares for me, that he always meets the
-
expectation. Now, I could technically take
-
this word and we could use the the term we're most familiar
-
with when we talk about expectation.
-
It's called hope, which is confident expectation.
-
But I'm not going to say hope today because you know, in the
-
church today, most of them do not know biblical hope.
-
It is not. Most people do not have a
-
biblical hope. They have secular hope, which is
-
wishful thinking. It may happen, it may not
-
happen. If it does, great.
-
If it doesn't, well, God knew better.
-
Well, God doesn't function that way.
-
God always does what He says He does His word.
-
So that's why hope biblically is a confident expectation because
-
when God speaks, you can confidently expect, which now
-
moves you over into faith that I'm going to have exactly what
-
he says. And not only what he says, but
-
he can do exceeding abundantly. It can open the door for more.
-
You could literally be believing God for a financial breakthrough
-
and God do way more than your financial breakthrough.
-
You know, your financial breakthrough may not be getting
-
a raise. It could be someone pays off
-
your house. Well, that'd be a pretty good
-
breakthrough. I mean, God's not obligated to
-
meet your need the way you think he's supposed to meet your need
-
at all. However, if we have ears to hear
-
got to do some awesome things in our life.
-
Look at this in Psalms 27 verse 14.
-
It says wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
-
Be strong and let your heart take courage.
-
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
-
So we see here that the psalmist is saying wait for now.
-
This word wait is not passive. This is not passive.
-
If if you are a person that says you're waiting, but you're have
-
no attention to that which you're waiting, you are not
-
waiting. You have forgotten.
-
If all of a sudden someone's supposed to meet you and you've
-
gotten so busy that when they showed up, you're like, oh,
-
you're here. I forgot.
-
Well, I thought you were waiting.
-
Well, I am. I mean, I'm here.
-
No, you're not waiting. You had no attitude of waiting.
-
You were distracted. I mean, they could have passed
-
you by and you never would have known because you had no
-
expectation. So when we're talking about
-
waiting, there's an expectation. What do we call pregnant women
-
expecting? Right.
-
And there's something about it. I mean, if it was like, oh, I
-
didn't know I was having a baby, right?
-
I mean, what kind of wife would be excited about their husbands?
-
Like, oh, I went on the fishing trip.
-
I didn't, I didn't know that you were due.
-
I mean, hey, I'm here, right? I mean, I was just waiting on
-
the fishing trip. I mean, you're like, you're not
-
waiting. You had no expectation of what's
-
going on here, right? Because when you're waiting on
-
someone with expectation, you're standing at the door just kind
-
of checking, right? I mean, when I wait on my my
-
wife, which we do this, as you know, is I could track her, she
-
can track me, right? It's fun.
-
And so I'm like, I texted her the other day.
-
I said, Ah, so you went to Target instead of Walmart Right
-
Now the reason I check is because I'm waiting on her
-
return. That's the only reason, not
-
because I'm concerned about where she's at.
-
I know where she's at. She tells me she doesn't lie,
-
she doesn't deviate. I don't have that issue.
-
What I'm saying is is that sometimes she'll she'll be, you
-
know, tracking me and I'll give her, Hey, I'm almost I'm letting
-
her know why? Because there's this expectation
-
we're about to meet again, right.
-
So again, you're kind of looking today.
-
My wife had went out, had the dentist and I was at the house
-
myself in preparation. And I hit man wonder where she's
-
at. She's coming back.
-
I'm expect she should be. You know, I feel like she should
-
be here by now. So I was just about to pull out
-
where she was and there she was. I tried to play it cool, stayed
-
on the couch, you know, does she open the door?
-
But sometimes tell, tell them the truth.
-
Now I'll stand out in the driveway and watch her drive
-
down. That's called waiting on
-
something. There's an expectation.
-
I want to see it. I want to, I want it to arrive.
-
I want it to be in my possession.
-
I want it to be here where I can see it.
-
And you know, we if we're going to be here with God or when we
-
go into special meetings, you know, the set aside times that
-
God speaking to us, we got to say, you know what, I'm coming
-
with an expectation, right, I'm coming with an expectation not
-
oh, forgot we had a service. You're not waiting and there's
-
no expectation. But when you're like excited,
-
then you're doing. You mean, I know I could talk to
-
parents right now. You tell your children you're
-
going to Disney, they're like talking about it.
-
They're having a conversation, they're waiting, they're
-
counting down to days. They're reminding, you see,
-
that's waiting where we're going.
-
Just got to wait a couple more days and then they let you know
-
next day, you know, we going to Disney in two days.
-
I'm aware of that. That's called waiting.
-
So it's not passive. It's this expectation.
-
It's always on your mind. You're expecting something to
-
happen and that's what he's saying.
-
Wait for, confidently expect the Lord.
-
Be strong and let your heart take courage yes.
-
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
-
That means that if I'm believing God's going to give a word to me
-
to answer something that I, you know, need an answer for, well,
-
then I should come to service with a confident expectancy.
-
He's going to speak to me and whether he speaks to me through
-
a song, whether he speaks to me through the written word,
-
whether he speaks to me through a sentence or two.
-
That's have been priests, whether it comes through the
-
gifts of the spirit through the through the whoever ministers or
-
maybe even just within the congregation.
-
You know, it seems like the Lord's saying then you know
-
what, why? If you're like, I know I'm going
-
to get it. I know I'm going to get what God
-
has for me. You have to have expectation.
-
All right, Proverbs chapter 3, excuse me, chapter 8 verse 34
Proverbs 3 chapter mention
-
Proverbs 834 says blessed is the man who listens to me watching
-
daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts.
-
You know, a lot of times we miss God is because we're really not
-
waiting. Now I didn't intentionally did
-
not use the scripture tonight. Those who wait on the Lord.
-
OK, you know, can we use that a lot?
-
However, I do want to clarify that scripture when it says
-
those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.
-
That word wait is where we get the word waiter.
-
And wait again is not passive. It means engaging and serving.
-
So that's not sitting in, you know, sitting in your house
-
waiting for God to bring it. It's you actually serving God.
-
You're waiting on the Lord. I'm here to serve you.
-
I'm your waiter. How can I wait on you?
-
What do you need me to do for you?
-
Because when I wait on you, then he'll say, why don't you just
-
you know what? I, I'm on one on the menu.
-
I just want you to sing a praise.
-
So you sing a praise to him. You deliver a praise to his
-
table. Come on.
-
You deliver a praise to his table.
-
All right. And then, you know, you deliver
-
what else he says whatever else. And you know what?
-
He'll give you the fattest tip you've ever had in your life.
-
I mean, it's called life changing tips because God is a
-
rewarder to those who diligently seek him.
-
So waiting on the Lord is like, I just wish you'd talk to me.
-
You need to go serve him. You need to go pray to him.
-
You need to go sing to him. You need to go worship.
-
You need to go exalt his name. You need to remind, you need to
-
remind yourself how holy, how blameless, how awesome he is.
-
You're bringing stuff to his table and, and even I was
-
talking to someone today sometimes you bring Isaiah 26 to
-
him. You bring your case before the
-
Lord Lord. I'm bringing my case to you in
-
essence, like a waiter. This happened to me at Black
-
Mild the other day. I was betwixt between two
-
places, 2 plates, let's put it that way.
-
I was betwixt between two plates, whether to eat shrimp
-
and crab cakes or to go on and have shrimp and fish.
-
And so my waiter says I'll pick it for you.
-
I'm like, that's cool. Surprise me.
-
It's going to be one of the other.
-
I didn't know. And he picked the shrimp and
-
grit cake. And I wasn't disappointed
-
because I didn't know which one I wanted.
-
I was betwixt between two plates.
-
He said I'll decide for you. No problem, right.
-
So again, you can bring things to the Lord you're bringing your
-
case now, Lord, we could go this way in this issue.
-
We could go here. All I know is your word says
-
this, your word says here and I'm bringing this before you.
-
This is what's on the menu. You tell me what you want to do
-
and then the Lord to give you some information.
-
OK, so we are we are waiting on the Lord.
-
But here's the thing that says blessed is the man who listens
-
to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorpost.
-
It's amazing how fast we'll go to everyone else.
-
I mean, there's nothing wrong with seeking advice.
-
There's nothing wrong with being surrounded by a multitude of
-
counsel. If the council live godly lives,
-
and I can even say it this way, the council is authorized in
-
your life. However, ultimately the scene
-
realm isn't where we go first. We need to go to the Lord.
-
And when we go to the scene realm to ask, it should only
-
start to confirm something already on the inside of us,
-
because that's the real direction we want.
-
Now sometimes it will happen that someone says the Lord will
-
give you the idea through someone, but it'll be confirmed
-
in your spirit. But again, you have to wait on
-
that. I know that through the
-
multiplicity of different things that I have to make decisions
-
on, I'm like, OK Lord, how in the world do you want me to
-
handle that one? And I go to scripture and I talk
-
to him and I'm like, Lord, where you at?
-
You know, and sometimes people are sending emails and wanting a
-
response and wanting this and I'm like, I don't have an answer
-
and I'm not letting their so-called emergencies move me.
-
I'm just going to hang out at the gates.
-
I'm going to stand by the doorposts because I know this.
-
When he speaks, I'll be blessed because I'm going to listen.
-
I'm going to do it his way. Hey, man, Hallelujah.
-
Just because you can go to I don't want to say things too
-
loud and it just all the ask me stuff.
-
Just because you can go there quick doesn't mean God's going
-
to respond to you the same way. Because God's not artificial
-
intelligence. He is the source of
-
intelligence. He's beyond intelligent.
-
He's wisdom, right? So don't get so conditioned that
-
thinking fast is the right answer.
-
Nothing wrong with it, I have no problem with it.
-
I use it myself to gain access to certain pieces of
-
information. But even then, I'm skeptical
-
because I'm like, I mean, at all the information in the world
-
this thing's drawing from, how many of these sources are even
-
right? Because I might have, I might
-
discredit some sources. You know, there's plenty of
-
things written in libraries that are false, but they're written
-
and AI is pulling that information, compiling it based
-
upon subjects. So, you know, unfortunately, I
-
kind of missed the old reference catalog where I could see the
-
book and see who it was. And then you could go track down
-
the individual and say, talk to me about this.
-
I need to know if your sourcing is right.
-
But I'm glad I can go to the author of the Bible that's
-
called, he's called the Holy Ghost, and he will talk to me.
-
Amen. All right, limitation.
-
Chapter 3, verse 25 says it this way.
-
The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly
-
for him, to those who seek him. Why aren't we supposed to seek
-
Him anyway? Acquire of and for and for him
-
and require him by right of necessity and on the authority
-
of God's word. Man, that's so good.
-
So again, let me tell you that the Lord is good to those who
-
wait hopefully and expectantly for him in our society today
-
where, you know, people can say anything they wanted to as fast
-
as they want to and and they can respond, you know, any way they
-
want to. You know, it takes a real man
-
and woman of God to be able to be quick to hear, slow to speak
-
and slow to wrath. And you know, I'm not going to
-
say, you know, Christians are doing a 100% great at that.
-
However, the Bible tells us that God is good to those who wait,
-
you know, and so when you're confronted with something, it's
-
always good to do this right. Take a step back.
-
Now they teach you that in the outfield as well.
-
When they hit in the outfield that instead of running up on
-
the ball, especially in softball, because the minute you
-
do, then you're like, it floats and it's go.
-
So they always tell them take a step back first and then go
-
towards the ball. Now, I didn't play outfield, I
-
played infield. And so, you know, you just took
-
off because it's usually coming. But with that being said, same
-
thing in the Spirit, you need to take a step back, stop.
-
Listen. Hearing is important.
-
Hearing is the foundation for us to have faith.
-
Faith comes by. So you can't rush in talking.
-
You got to step back in here so that you can then.
-
But if you step back to here with no expectation, then guess
-
what you're going to hear crickets, right?
-
Crickets. Amen.
-
You know, and if I was being ChatGPT ish, you know, delay
-
does not mean denial. I understand.
-
OK, Micah Chapter 7 verse 7 says, But As for me, I will
-
watch expectantly for the Lord. I will wait for the God of my
-
salvation. My God will hear me.
-
I'm curious in the realm of faith, you know, how many people
-
come to service in faith just to hear from God?
-
I mean, what layers on a consistent basis Are you in
-
expectation? I expect to hear something from
-
the word I've not heard before. I mean, is there that in you?
-
Is there that you know? I mean, are you in the
-
expectation of we earnestly desire spiritual gifts and we
-
know that you move on the body as it pleases.
-
You can be me today and I expect it can be me.
-
If it's your will to be me and I'll move, I'll yield.
-
But if it's not, I'm expecting it nonetheless.
-
Now again, God doesn't have to do it, but if the expectations
-
not there, then why is He doing anything right now?
-
When it comes to other meetings, other meetings are not better.
-
They're just designed to do what they're ordained to do.
-
Do you know how many believers run from conference to
-
conference to conference to conference to Holy Ghost
-
meeting, the Holy Ghost meeting, the Holy Ghost meeting?
-
Because they're trying to get in this little bubble thinking
-
that's the expression of God, which that is a expression, and
-
many of them miss this expression of day in and day
-
out. You need both aspects, Both.
-
This is why we have specific services throughout the year on
-
different things, whether it's a marriage conference, you know, a
-
workshop we would call whatever we call it, or parenting, or,
-
you know, something to do specific with men or something
-
to do specific with women. You know, we do a men's meeting.
-
It's designed specifically for the male.
-
And we should expect something different in that service than
-
just what we would have when we are here together like this.
-
Yet expectations should be in everything.
-
And here's the thing, the greatest struggle you'll have in
-
our special meetings is to expect from Apostle Marcy and I,
-
because it's pretty easy to expect from a guest minister,
-
because the guest minister, you don't hear them every day.
-
So your expectation is based upon my communication.
-
You need to receive the gift of God.
-
I want you to pull on them. I wouldn't want you to come in
-
and be skeptical. Well, I've never heard.
-
That's irrelevant. You're not hearing, doesn't
-
matter. The same principle will apply.
-
I am going to take everything that I hear, put it with the
-
Word of God, and receive what's of God.
-
That's pretty simple principle. So it doesn't matter whether
-
you've heard them or not. You should expect that you would
-
hear God through them. Now, you already know that we're
-
going to vet them before we really let them in the pulpit
-
anyway. So we're really not going to put
-
somebody in and go like, I don't know what they're going to say
-
either. And if it's bad, we'll clean it
-
up. I mean, I, we don't bring people
-
in like that, OK. I mean, we already have some
-
kind of relationship. There's something the Holy Ghost
-
has already, you know, done. And I'm not saying that people
-
can't make mistakes. I'm just saying that, you know,
-
you, you purposely do that. But because they're not our
-
vocal cords, then all of a sudden the expectation of
-
someone that you have no relationship becomes greater and
-
more things can move in those services simply because of a
-
greater expectation of the unknown person.
-
This is why the traveling minister is pretty it can be
-
dangerous for them because they live off.
-
They live off the expectation the pastor has given about them.
-
They don't have to establish any credibility themselves with
-
anyone. They have borrowed reputation.
-
But yet the people will then elevate their voice even above
-
their own pastors. Oh, I'm preaching better than
-
your Amen. But that's OK.
-
This is the tough deal because again, most of the time they
-
don't come in with a message of correction anyway.
-
They come in with something, you know, that's edifying,
-
encouraging, and then, you know, things can happen because the
-
body's expected and then things happen.
-
And then all of a sudden we have such a great service with them.
-
Can't wait till they're back yet.
-
The one that is laboring over your soul day in and day out.
-
Do they get crumbs of your expectation?
-
Hallelujah. I'm glad that's not in this
-
house. And if there is, just look at
-
your name or say get it right. I'll have to slap you because
-
you need a good spanking. Hallelujah.
-
Amen. No, that's why Hebrews says to
-
obey those who give watch over your soul.
-
And again, they're not obeying you to tell you what to do with
-
your life. They're the obedience that you
-
are to obey us. The word says this.
-
You should apply this to this, and that's what you're obeying.
-
You're not obeying their every whim.
-
That's foolishness. OK, so Micah again said, But As
-
for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord.
-
I just want us to really ratchet up our expectation because
-
again, Apostle Marcy's doing Friday night, you know, and I
-
would hate for us like, well, we'll wait till Saturday because
-
we always get to hear her. But you don't get to hear what
-
she's going to do Friday night, nor in the environment of that
-
particular anointing of that meeting because how she
-
ministers here. But again, if you come with the
-
expect, well, she's probably just going to preach like she
-
does on Sunday and Wednesday, Guess what?
-
Then you're not pulling on something different.
-
But if you say, you know what, we're in a different meeting.
-
We're in Kingdom rise, there's a different impartation.
-
And so, Lord, I don't, I expect something beyond our regular
-
church services. I expect an anointing and
-
impartation of revelation. Something's going to happen.
-
I expect that Pastor Apostle Marcy is going to minister
-
something most likely under the prophetic.
-
She's going to move over into that prophetic role and I'm
-
going to pull on the prophetic in her life because that these
-
meetings would be set up for that.
-
And I expect, Lord, that she's going to say things that she'll
-
openly have to admit. I did not study this.
-
It just came up in my spirit. The reason these things come up
-
in the spirit is because the congregation has the
-
expectation. Now, I can tell you this, two or
-
three people can do this and change an environment.
-
It can happen with just a couple.
-
What would have happened if everybody here shows up Friday
-
night and brings that kind of expectation?
-
Then you go ahead tomorrow, call the ones that you know normally
-
you hang out with and see at church and say, hey, aren't you
-
excited about you're going to be there Friday, right?
-
Look, man, you're going to have to be expected.
-
I'm telling you, it's going to be and you go ahead and build
-
theirs up, right? Because again, this, I'm not
-
hyping you. This is I'm reading scripture.
-
This is not hype, this is you in your spirit saying I have a
-
godly expectation and godly expectation makes a demand on
-
something, but it will open the door for the exceedingly
-
abundant. I mean, don't you want to leave
-
Sunday night and and have your mind blown with what God has
-
done? I do, I want that.
-
I want my mind blown on what God has done.
-
Glory to God I believe in that He can speak through me like
-
he's never spoken through me before in that setting and it be
-
life changing. Oh Hallelujah Psalms 53 I'm
-
almost done two more verses. I'll probably get you out early
-
so you have no excuse. Say you held us there till, held
-
us hostage on Wednesday night till 10:00.
-
Psalms 5 and three says this. And the new living translation
-
says listen to my voice in the morning.
-
Lord, each morning I bring my request to you and wait
-
patiently. I mean, I'm, I'm hoping that
-
you're praying out your expectation so that Friday,
-
Saturday or Sunday, it's met 'cause I do believe God will do
-
something in this small sliver of time because of the anointing
-
of this particular service. Hallelujah.
-
You know, God can do, God does amazing things, period, period.
-
He does amazing things. Should we expect, right?
-
But again, all these scriptures that I have read today is not
-
hype. It's a godly something that God
-
wants us who are in covenant with Him to be in this position
-
in our heart, in our heart. Not impress me.
-
That's a religious person. All right, I'll believe it when
-
I see it. That's a religious person.
-
You know, you just sit back and let's watch and see what
-
happens. No, cause again, like tonight,
-
obviously we did worship different. 2 reasons, one
-
because I let our worship team and I said we are way too, God
-
is way too talented to do worship the same way all the
-
time with the exact same instruments.
-
I mean did you see the cello people?
-
We had a cello on the platform. This is amazing, you know, I
-
mean all these awesome instruments that are out there
-
and we've relegated in the Western culture to just, you
-
know, guitar, bass, drums, keys and all these other instruments
-
are out there. You say, well, we're past
-
orchestras. God's not past orchestras.
-
No, I I believe he loves all those sounds and we just don't
-
have the talent base apparently to have them in.
-
And if you have can play another instrument, you're like, well,
-
well, I play the trumpet. Why you holding out?
-
And we might not have you play every song with the trumpet, but
-
we will make some arrangements so that you can bring your gift.
-
There's no reason why trump is we, you understand, God is not
-
coming back with electric guitar.
-
And I heard the sound of electric guitar from heaven.
-
It's not a bass. It's not even the drums,
-
although it will sound like Thunder.
-
So it's probably kind of God's Thunder, right?
-
Thunder and lightning. However, it will be a trumpet
-
the trump will sound. And that we don't even have a
-
Trump. I would hate for you to miss it
-
because you don't know what they sound like anymore.
-
All right, Thank you, Christopher.
-
I like you. He's with me.
-
OK, So the expectation of these meetings, I mean, it's all on
-
you because I know what I'm going to be doing on Friday
-
night. I know what I'm going to do on
-
Saturday. I'm talking about when I'm
-
sitting, hearing. If something moves me, I'll
-
stand. Something makes me want to jump,
-
I'll jump. Something makes me want to
-
dance, I'll dance. Doesn't matter if I just sense
-
it should happen. I'll do it even if I don't feel
-
it Doesn't matter because it's that OK.
-
Whatever expression God wants to have, we want.
-
And it's not. We're not making it happen.
-
We just have an expectation that anything can happen.
-
According to scripture, not what's not scripture.
-
So don't come up and be throwing up and saying, you know, we're
-
getting rid of demons. That's we're not doing that.
-
That kind of stuff was all wrong.
-
OK, but we want to come with great expectation.
-
All right, Last scripture is this Luke chapter 8 verse 40.
-
Oh, I was saying the band. Second reason is that we have a
-
new stage design that we're unveiling for Kingdom Rise.
-
And I'm letting you know it is our last stage design in this
-
sanctuary. I will not do another one
-
because the new one is the new sanctuary.
-
So if I want you to get bored with it quick, so we can go on
-
to to the to the next conquering territory.
-
All right, Luke chapter 8 verse 4 says this.
-
The Williams translation says now as Jesus was returning, the
-
crowd welcomed him for they were all expecting him.
-
Are you expecting God to move? Are you expecting God to
-
manifest when apostle Apostle Joshua Adams begins to are you
-
expecting now in order to have an expectation, you have to be
-
somewhere you can't expect and then not arrive.
-
See here says now Jesus was returning.
-
This is after he ministered to some people.
-
He gets in a boat and he goes to the other side.
-
When he gets to the other side, he casts the devil out and then
-
he won't let the guy come back with him, but go tell everybody
-
about what he's done. When he shows backup, people are
-
waiting on him, meaning this not in 124 hour period.
-
But what's happened is, is that they were ministered by him.
-
They couldn't get enough. And so they were always, he
-
went, he's going to come back and they kept coming to the
-
shore. Waiting is a rival and when he
-
showed up, two things happened. Jairus's daughter was raised
-
from the dead and the woman with the issue of blood.
-
In this account, Luke was healed from her infirmity.
-
Expectation opened that door, something greater than they
-
could even imagine because Jairus just wanted her daughter.
-
His daughter healed. He wasn't even believing for her
-
to be raised from the dead because when he was told she was
-
dead he sunk emotionally and Jesus had to say only believe
-
right now. The one with the issue of blood.
-
That was a whole nother ball game.
-
Jesus didn't even know she was around till after she touched
-
him and then power left him. Do you understand?
-
That's pretty powerful. Number one, it shows the
-
humanity of Jesus that He was all God, but also all man, and
-
He was functioning as a man, anointed of God, of which God
-
withheld from him. This woman coming.
-
He did not let Jesus know. So Jesus was ignorant of the
-
fact a woman is pressing through the crowd with a blood problem.
-
He did not know this as Jesus in the flesh, but when she touched
-
the hem of His garment with what expected if I just touches him.
-
I mean, I need some people in this room tonight say if I just
-
touches him. If I just touches him.
-
You got to come with some. I mean, because some of you may
-
be in situations that it's that desperate if I just touches him
-
right. Don't don't disregard the power
-
of God. Don't come in, you know, because
-
she could have said, well, if he's really a man of God and
-
he's really, and God talks to him, they got to tell him my
-
address and he'll show up at my house.
-
Did not happen. She heard he was in town because
-
of all the commotion. She said, oh, I've heard about
-
him because he had just been in the community and this man can
-
change me and I'm not waiting for him to come.
-
I'll get to him. And if I just touches him, I'm
-
going to be healed. And she touched it.
-
Power left him. Not only did he have power to
-
heal her, he still had power, more than enough power to raise
-
a girl up. Oh my gosh.
-
I mean, you can't pull power. He's like, I got to sit down and
-
and and get not just keep pulling on the power.
-
He'll have enough power for you. Kelsey have no power for you,
-
Matt. You have no power for for you
-
and you and you. I can just go around Wayne.
-
He has no power for you. Just pull the power out.
-
I mean, y'all, we all can just touch his him all weekend long.
-
You can do a Friday night, you can do a Saturday morning.
-
You can do a Saturday night. You do a Sunday morning, do a
-
Sunday night and he'll still be releasing power at your
-
expectation. So don't let King the Kingdom
-
rises for us and there will be some guests in the room, but
-
man, pull on. Don't miss this opportunity
-
because power is ready to come, revelations ready to come,
-
change is ready, transformation an anointing different than just
-
our services that can become such a marker in your life that
-
you'll set up a spiritual memorial and say it was on this
-
day that God said this and changed the course of my life.
