  1. Stand for the reading of the word.

  2. We are in a a Wednesday night series on Kingdom authority and

  3. we're going to lay hands on people tonight.

  4. Amen. And so we want to, we want to be

  5. able to administer the word, but then be able to minister to

  6. people as well. And so in Mark chapter one,

  7. verse 21 to 22, it's kind of been our key text here.

  8. It says they went into the Capernaum and immediately on the

  9. Sabbath, he entered the synagogue and began to teach.

  10. And they were amazed at his teaching, for he was one, for he

  11. was teaching them as one, having authority and not as the

  12. scribes. You can be seated.

  13. So we see here that Jesus, when he began to speak, there was

  14. authority in the word that he spoke.

  15. He is the word. You can speak the word without

  16. authority because the scribes, you know, who wrote the word

  17. out, they had, you know, they're connected with the priest and

  18. the the Pharisees that are the ones that are delivering or

  19. teaching the word. But yet when they speak, it

  20. sounds like tradition. It just doesn't have the same

  21. power associated with it. However, when Jesus speaks,

  22. there is authority as if what he's saying will take place.

  23. That's why Jesus addressing them in Matthew chapter 15 verse 7

    Matthew 15:7

  24. and 9 says you hypocrites rightly did Isaiah prophecy of

  25. you. These people, this people honor

  26. me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

  27. Does God know your heart? Yes, He does, always without

  28. exception. OK, so just because, you know, a

  29. lot of people are saying scriptures and singing songs and

  30. posting things, that doesn't mean their heart is there.

  31. OK, But God could identify that, He goes on to say, but in vain

  32. do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.

  33. I was reminded of a time when I was in youth ministry and I had

  34. taken our teenagers to a particular camp and, you know,

  35. there was like a wall. We were in AI guess in an

  36. auditorium, and some teenagers from different churches were up

  37. against the wall. And man, they were just crying

  38. out to God. I mean, really emotionally

  39. crying out to God. It was very obvious.

  40. And yet our teenagers, you know, didn't seem as emotionally

  41. connected. And I remember kind of feeling

  42. like, man, I wish our teens would respond this way.

  43. You know, I mean, they would raise in their hands, don't get

  44. me wrong, but it just seemed like there was something.

  45. And I'll never forget the voice of the Lord say to me, he says,

  46. I really don't even hear them. Now that can sound offensive and

  47. probably some people would take that offensive, right?

  48. But again, it's what the spirit of the Lord said.

  49. And you know what, it's not offense when the Lord says they

  50. worship me in vain. He says this.

  51. So if he knew that they were doing something out of a vain

  52. scenario, well, he knows it. I didn't think it.

  53. I'm thinking they're really doing something.

  54. But he tells me not really hearing them.

  55. He says they're, they're trying to get to me through their

  56. emotions, but you have to worship me in spirit and in

  57. truth. He says you got to teach them

  58. how to connect with the Spirit because I'm not moved by a

  59. person's emotions. He's not.

  60. Now that doesn't mean he won't do something for you out of

  61. kindness. I'm not saying that that if a

  62. person could only and that's the only way, they haven't even

  63. engaged God and they're crying out from an emotional soulish

  64. perspective. God is gracious, he's

  65. compassionate, He's merciful and he can do something, but that's

  66. not how we live. We live by faith.

  67. We live to be led by the spirit. So what you have to watch is

  68. that if you have an experience with God through an emotional

  69. response, that's just God being kind to let you know he's there

  70. and he wants to train you how you can do it a better way.

  71. But a lot of times when people have a are touched by God in

  72. their infancy as they're beginning with God because

  73. again, God will start with you where you're at, but what's he

  74. do? He's going to take you

  75. somewhere. And if you want to stay in

  76. preschool how you first felt him, he's like, well, I was just

  77. letting you know I'm there and I want to take you somewhere.

  78. Why you keep trying to come? This isn't the best living, but

  79. I want to feel you like that feeling is not what you need

  80. from me. What you need is my word, are

  81. you hearing me? And so there's plenty of times

  82. we don't watch out. We can have.

  83. That's why events can be a little troubling because you can

  84. have an experience with God. Will you feel him?

  85. I mean, how many times you heard this?

  86. And please don't be upset if you've said this to me, but

  87. something like, oh, I'm getting goosebumps.

  88. Goosebumps. There's not an indicator that

  89. that is the Holy Ghost. It can happen, but don't think

  90. every time goosebumps come that that is a manifestation of the

  91. Holy Spirit itself. And then don't be looking for

  92. that. Well, I need to get in the room

  93. so that my hair can stand on on edge, you know, on the back of

  94. my neck, you know, or I that's see now that's being led by your

  95. feeling. No, I know he's in the room

  96. because he inhabits the praises of his people.

  97. He lives in me. I am the temple of the Holy

  98. Ghost, so I know he's in the room.

  99. I know he's here. I don't need any other

  100. demonstration. If he allows it, I don't have a

  101. problem. If he his power came so much in

  102. that I fell on my face and I couldn't get up, great.

  103. But I don't think God wants us to live where his power presses

  104. us on the floor for 5 to 11 hours.

  105. That then that's all we want. I remember that service.

  106. I was down for 11 hours. Well, did he talk to you?

  107. Was there some things you were supposed to do not do?

  108. Did you need some rest and he needed you to stay out for a

  109. little bit because you've been run too?

  110. I don't know. But at the end of the day, we're

  111. not led by being slain in the spirit for hours on end, right?

  112. So again, he's dealing with individuals that give this

  113. impression and their conversation lacks no authority.

  114. That's good. None at all.

  115. That's why Jesus preceding in Matthew 15 three this little

  116. statement. He says to them, He says, and he

  117. answered and said to them, why do you transgress the

  118. commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

  119. And we said this when biblical truths are replaced with

  120. traditional truths, then authority is lost.

  121. Now, again, when I say traditional truth, I don't mean

  122. they're actually truths. I just mean they're traditions

  123. that we formed as truths because we've made doctrine the precepts

  124. of men. But we, they consider them

  125. truths. Biblical truth is what has

  126. authority. It holds real power.

  127. All right. And we function with power.

  128. You know, the church is powerful.

  129. It is powerful. It is the most powerful thing on

  130. the planet. I mean, just knowing that when

  131. you come in this room should make this room electric in the

  132. spirit that you're not like we have power when we have some

  133. power. The Holy Ghost has given us

  134. power through the name of Jesus. We have power.

  135. We are not a dead head waiting to get along.

  136. You know, a subject to everything like everybody else.

  137. And again, this kind of teaching, people say all they're

  138. talking about a little God complex.

  139. We are children of God. I didn't call myself that.

  140. And if I'm in Christ, then I can function as God has ordained us

  141. by faith and do some pretty amazing things.

  142. I do not want my conversation to only sound like quoting

  143. Scripture with no power. Well, you know, I'm going to

  144. pray for you. Please don't.

  145. Because if there's no power, don't pray.

  146. This is why we say we don't want to be known as a church that

  147. prays every religion, false religions pray.

  148. We want to be known as a church that has answered prayers.

  149. Are we going to pray? Yes, but they will be answered

  150. because God's not withholding from his church when you ask

  151. according to his will Woo you have it Hallelujah.

  152. So you got to have a firm persuasion.

  153. So the difference between the precepts of men we could call

  154. religion and the Kingdom of God is authority is authority.

  155. And again, the precepts of men sound good.

  156. You know it. It tends to touch us where we

  157. feel, you know, when there's a plenty of of, of people that you

  158. can connect to on a personal emotional level of things you've

  159. gone through. And I was talking to Anna when

  160. she was making my coffee tonight and you know, about the ladies

  161. that she's helping that in the ministry.

  162. And I'm, she said, I just want him to get it.

  163. Well, she can provide a place. She can give them clothes, feed

  164. them, you know, have food and all this stuff can start to

  165. function. She may even be able to say, I

  166. know how you feel, I've been in that place before.

  167. She may even have personal testimony with some of them.

  168. However, none of that change. She could cry with them, but

  169. none of it changes unless the word shown in their heart

  170. springs forth in a renewal of their mind that they then begin

  171. to walk out that which they've been redeemed and made in the

  172. likeness of and function in. And that's what she's doing,

  173. endeavoring. Let's catch it.

  174. Let's get the Spirit of God. Then there's power with God.

  175. It's not like some please transition and just keeping

  176. your, you know, routine. It's like we're bringing you

  177. out. You're going somewhere else.

  178. I placed you in a place of power, a place where there's

  179. authority, a place where you can overcome, right?

  180. We should be living that when we are at work.

  181. People like Mandy, it's like what you say and do happens.

  182. Come on, come on, How come you have this kind of authority?

  183. Well, Jesus gave it to me. And Thayer's definition of

  184. authority, which we described, says this, the power of rule or

  185. government, that is the power of him whose will and commands must

  186. be submitted to by others and obeyed.

  187. So again, you know, most of the time, because of the Greek word

  188. authority that seen most mostly within the New Testament, is

  189. considered through by definition, this delegated

  190. power. But this delegated power is the

  191. word of a government of which its will is commanded to be

  192. obeyed because it will come to pass.

  193. And again, as we said, if the simple definition of authority

  194. is only delegated power, it it ends up losing its meaning

  195. somewhere. Because I've received power from

  196. God, because God gave it to me, it was delegated.

  197. The Holy Spirit has power because it was delegated to him

  198. by Jesus. He said he's not going to speak

  199. on his own initial, but whatever he hears from me, he'll say

  200. Jesus himself has delegated power.

  201. He says, you know what, I don't speak on my own initiative, but

  202. what my father says is what he says.

  203. That's why the centurion says, man, I'm a man like you under

  204. authority and in authority. What you're functioning in is

  205. delegated authority. And I have that.

  206. And Jesus, like I've not seen such great faith.

  207. No, not in all Israel. However, if delegated authority

  208. is a delegated power is authority, and the Father has

  209. authority, well then who gave him his?

  210. So really authority is the final say on anything.

  211. It is the final verdict, and the Father holds that glory to God,

  212. He holds the final say. So when we say delegated power

  213. is really the delegated final say, he's saying Jesus say this

  214. Jesus. The word speaks.

  215. The Holy Spirit tells us. So when we hear what the Father

  216. has said, when we speak, we're really speaking the final say.

  217. It is the final verdict. It's like the Supreme Court

  218. hitting the gavel. It is now the law of the land.

  219. It is as the King has declared, and everything must align with

  220. that word. Hallelujah, now you can 'cause

  221. that final say to not perform in your life if you do not believe,

  222. and you will make it null and void based upon unbelief,

  223. meaning you just won't see it function in your life, although

  224. the power for it to come to pass is still available nonetheless.

  225. That's why a person can receive healing and someone beside them,

  226. not the difference between the two is their firm persuasion

  227. that what the father just said. That's it cannot be any other

  228. way period. And when you have a firm

  229. persuasion like that cause again, your your faith life

  230. depends on understanding the authority of the words you're

  231. believing. And This is why in our and you

  232. know, it's so important to teach the word because if you're a

  233. person, you know that knows where you're going to go when

  234. you die, but you don't study and understand God's authority now,

  235. then you know you'll delay the belief.

  236. And the reason you'll say I have faith but nothing happens is

  237. because it's really become a precept of man, your faith and

  238. not really the word of God, the power of God.

  239. I'm telling you, people are going to go to go to heaven one

  240. day and realize what they could have done.

  241. That's going to happen. And again, Jesus has no problem

  242. telling you he loves you. I mean, he gets in a boat.

  243. He says, hey, let's go to the other side.

  244. What did he say? What did he say?

  245. What did he say? He is the Lord supreme and

  246. authority. He said, so he goes to sleep,

  247. but what happens? A storm comes.

  248. Does the storm hinder his word? Not at all.

  249. Only if you look at it, if you give power to it, if you

  250. believe, that's more power. And Jesus never believed that,

  251. but the disciples did. So much so that they wake him

  252. and say, do you not care that we are going to die?

  253. Basically, you're liar or you said to go.

  254. So we are going in our strength and not your word.

  255. Well, I'm trying to go to the other side.

  256. I want to go to the other side. You said to go the other side,

  257. but I can't get to the other side because of the storm and

  258. because of this storm. It's so bad.

  259. Now we're probably going to die and I need to wake him up

  260. because what good you know, we need to help.

  261. He needs to know his life set danger.

  262. I mean, a person who cares about something's going to tell them,

  263. don't you? But he didn't say we're we're

  264. concerned you'll die with us. They said, aren't you?

  265. Aren't you concerned? I mean, don't you know we were

  266. going to die? And Jesus is like what he

  267. rebukes the winds and the waves. They're blown away and then he

  268. corrects them is why you have no faith, why you have a little

  269. faith? Why'd you let the storm become a

  270. doctrine to you? And there's many that get the

  271. storms of life and say, well, the Lord sent this storm.

  272. He's trying to teach me something.

  273. You know, I was trying to get there, but I didn't.

  274. But God knows what he's doing sounds good, sounds holy.

  275. We post about it, but the Lord's like, yeah, but you're not

  276. telling them the whole story. I mean, again, if we were

  277. interviewing Peter and them, they would be like, man, we the

  278. Jesus was Jesus, man. He was in the boat and we were

  279. really concerned for his life. We were just praising him.

  280. We were like taking a nap and we're going to do this.

  281. We we're with you. But man, that storm hit.

  282. It was rough and I don't know why God did that to our lives.

  283. I don't know. But you know, I think he was

  284. here to help us build camaraderie, teamwork.

  285. He wanted to see our compassion for the ones that are sleeping

  286. in underwear, you know. So again, what did we do?

  287. We woke him up. We're like, hey, we're going to

  288. die. You should get up that way.

  289. Maybe we all won't die. Try to figure something out

  290. because I don't know why God does these things and brings

  291. these storms a lot, but he helps build my character.

  292. And Jesus all around said, well, tell him what I said.

  293. Oh, y'all don't want to hear this?

  294. OK, that's all right. It preached better in the

  295. Pentecostal church, I guess. Now we're not giving a whole

  296. story because you don't know what God has said in someone's

  297. spirit. Don't take the job.

  298. Well, I took that job, man. It seemed like promotion.

  299. I just knew the God was blessing me.

  300. But then everything went crazy, you know, and I, you know, I

  301. don't know why God. And they're not saying, well,

  302. you know, he did say, or he said take this job, but I didn't want

  303. to move. That's good.

  304. I didn't want to do something different.

  305. He did tell me to go to that church.

  306. He said don't marry her. Oh, yeah, I'm.

  307. We're not getting that story. I mean, all of you could say,

  308. yeah, you better watch out because you're posting on social

  309. media. Be honest.

  310. I love to say that the Lord did all this to teach me something.

  311. You know what I can learn? Because what the devil meant for

  312. bad got a term for good. But just let it be known.

  313. He told me before I ever got in it, and I disobeyed.

  314. Can I just be honest? I disobeyed.

  315. But he's so gracious and you know, when I got in this

  316. calamity and I said, Lord, I didn't believe you had your

  317. word, please forgive me. That man, he calls the winds and

  318. the waves to stop. He told me, next time believe.

  319. Quit being a slacker. I mean, be honest.

  320. But what we want to make sure everybody knows that we are the

  321. spiritual elite and we're going to help them through their

  322. trial. I don't want you helping me

  323. through a trial that you never should have got in.

  324. Be honest with me and tell me I didn't listen.

  325. OK, thank you. So now let's dissect your

  326. problem because I'll learn what to avoid when you do not listen.

  327. Because you know what? This is what we'll do.

  328. Somebody's been through some calamity in your life, and then

  329. you're in it. And you're like, Lord, Yeah.

  330. You're not a respecter of person.

  331. What you different Lords like, look, this is a totally

  332. different scenario. You can't use theirs.

  333. They should have never been in that.

  334. OK. Oh, Hallelujah.

  335. Now just stay with the word, OK? Jesus.

  336. Matthew 2818 says this. And Jesus came up and spoke to

  337. them saying, come on, how much? Come on.

  338. I'll let you go earlier if you if you interact with me.

  339. OK, if not, I'll stay till 10. I have no wife at the house.

  340. I just forewarn you, there's no rush for me to go home. 0 So me,

  341. I feel like a Paul preaching coming on till midnight is

  342. what's about to come on me. If I don't get a little response

  343. up in this place right here, we'll preach till midnight and

  344. I'll preach myself happy and believe God.

  345. You'll be awake in the morning to go to work.

  346. No problem. OK?

  347. Jesus came and spoke to them. How much authority?

  348. Come on, how much? How much is all?

  349. How much is all? All authority has been given to

  350. me in heaven. And man, you're on the earth.

  351. What could possibly happen to the church that the head of the

  352. church does not have authority over?

  353. You got to get down your spirit. What in the world can happen in

  354. the earth that our king, his name is not above it?

  355. Oh Mama, all authority. Nothing should strike fear in

  356. you. Ever when bad news comes,

  357. calamity hits. You're like you're on the

  358. throne. What's the word king?

  359. You've not given me a spirit of fear, but of what power?

  360. Why? You have power 'cause you have

  361. his authority. You just need to know what the

  362. king says about the situation so that you can declare the King's

  363. words. Hallelujah.

  364. John chapter 14, verse 10. The 14 says this.

    John 14:10

  365. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in

  366. me? The words that I say to you, I

  367. do not speak on my own initiative, but the Father

  368. abiding me does his works. Man, that's a lesson.

  369. If this is not like a page that every believer in the globe,

  370. especially in the United States, needs to put on their every

  371. round everywhere around their house and keep this quote in

  372. front of them. I do not speak on my own

  373. initiative. You have to kill your

  374. independent opinion. Got to kill the spirit of

  375. independence because in the Kingdom is that it is the most

  376. dangerous word. Because the minute you start

  377. thinking independent, you are going to rebel against His word.

  378. And when you rebel against His word, death enters in.

  379. He's life contrary to His word is death.

  380. And if the head of the church doesn't speak on his own accord,

  381. why do we think we have the right to do it ourselves?

  382. Why does this happen? He said, believe me that I am in

  383. the Father and the Father is in me.

  384. Otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

  385. Then he goes on and says his verse 12.

  386. This is so powerful. Are you ready for this verse?

  387. Are you ready for it? Truly, truly, I say to you, he

  388. or she, the person who believes in me, the works that I do, He

  389. might sometimes when you get to heaven will do, will do because

  390. I go to the Father, right and then he goes on said ain't

  391. greater worse than these he will do because I go to the Father.

  392. Why? Because this miraculous is not

  393. being independently put within Jesus himself.

  394. He is about to deploy it among his children.

  395. He goes on and says whatever, and we know this in connection

  396. to 1st John chapter 5. It's anything according to his

    John 5 chapter mention

  397. will, not you telling God what you want.

  398. He's not a genie. Come on not a genie now Jesus

  399. I'm praying that you do this for me and the Lord's like you're

  400. not even listening before you're talking.

  401. Be quick to man got to be quick to hear money of we just give

  402. them petitions without even what should we say because when I say

  403. what you say it is forever settled.

  404. OK, whatever you asking my name that I might I could on some

  405. occasions I don't most of the time I won't because I just want

  406. to see if you trust me without it.

  407. No, he said that. I mean, I don't understand how

  408. you how do you rectify these statements?

  409. Jesus is not a liar, right? Right.

  410. Amen. And people get combated.

  411. Why? Because the precepts of man will

  412. get competitive, combative with the simplicity of the authority

  413. of God that he has given to us. Here's the thing.

  414. We don't want any responsibility.

  415. Yet you cannot read the Bible and say it's just about God

  416. because it was just about God. Then it'd be nothing about man.

  417. No, he's got a lot to say about man and his responsibility.

  418. God will do his part. You must do your part, and your

  419. part is simply believing, believing in his part.

  420. That's that's we've got it easy. All we have to do is believe.

  421. All we have to do is believe. And again, what is believing?

  422. How do you know that? You know 3 + 2 = 3 + 2 equals.

  423. I mean, are you confident? If you don't sense that same

  424. confidence with what God's saying about any situation in

  425. your life, then you're not in faith.

  426. And if you're like, yeah, but that's precepts of man.

  427. You're trying to create a doctrine around your feelings

  428. and situation instead of saying, Lord, what don't I know so that

  429. I can get to the place five. It's this way, and there's no

  430. other way. Whatever you ask Him, I name

  431. that I will do so that the Father may be glorified in the

  432. Son. If you ask anything, how, how,

  433. how? In my name, I will do it.

  434. Will He do it? Come on.

  435. Will He do it? Will He do it?

  436. All you got to do is ask in His name.

  437. Now look at this in Acts chapter 16, In the name of Jesus, OK?

    Acts 16 chapter mention

  438. And I'm going to give you a case and then we're going to talk

  439. about this for a minute because if you ask anything in my name,

  440. I will do it. In Acts chapter 16, verse 16 to

    Acts 16:16–18

  441. 18, we've already read that all authorities have been given to

  442. Jesus in heaven and earth. And he says go therefore.

  443. And he says those that go and believe these signs will follow.

  444. One of those signs is that you can cast out devils, OK?

  445. And so here's Paul in a particular community, and it

  446. happened as we were going to the place of prayer, this slave girl

  447. having a spirit of divination, which means she had a spirit on

  448. her, an evil spirit, not from God, not an Angel.

  449. OK, met us who was bringing her Master much profit by fortune

  450. telling. In essence, she had a familiar

  451. spirit on her in her OK. At minimum, she was oppressed.

  452. It was in her mind, could have been possessed.

  453. It definitely was attached to her.

  454. And this familiar spirit could go out because it's a spirit.

  455. It's in the spirit realm. It can go out and follow you.

  456. Find out where you went, what you were wearing yesterday, what

  457. you ate. Go back to the girl.

  458. That way when she comes of art, she can say yesterday you were

  459. at that's good. So again, you say, well I'm a go

  460. to fortune teller, so you're going to go to demonic people.

  461. Well, and I've heard people post this now, if your child was

  462. kidnapped and you knew a fortune teller could, would you not go

  463. to her? My answer is emphatically

  464. absolutely no, because I do not need the devil to help me find

  465. my child Jesus. If I'm going to the fortune

  466. teller because my child is kidnapped, it's so I can rebuke

  467. that demon out of that one and go to Jesus about where my child

  468. is. That is the silliest question

  469. ever, But Christians will pose that anyway.

  470. She's a fortune teller following after Paul, and she kept crying

  471. out. These men are the bond servants

  472. of the Most High God. Now, is that a true statement?

  473. It is a true statement Who are proclaiming to you the way of

  474. salvation. Is that a true statement?

  475. That is an absolute true statement.

  476. And she continued doing this for many days.

  477. But Paul was greatly annoyed and Turner said so.

  478. In essence, he's like, this is not the Spirit of God-given an

  479. announcement on my behalf. Now let me tell you why he has

  480. to do this. Paul has come into the

  481. community. He's here to set up a church.

  482. Are you hearing me and he is proclaimed.

  483. He is there sent by the most High and he is proclaiming the

  484. way of salvation. If he doesn't deal with this

  485. when he leaves, then that spirit can come into the church because

  486. I say, did I not tell you that Paul was doing this?

  487. They're like you did my life's changed.

  488. Did I not tell you that he was a he did thus saith the Lord.

  489. This is a problem. So Paul's annoyed at this.

  490. He says I command you. He turned and said to the

  491. Spirit, not to the girl. Now if you were in the crowd, it

  492. would look like he's talking to the girl, but he's not.

  493. He's talking to the Spirit. He says, I command you how in

  494. the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of

  495. her and he came out. When did it debate?

  496. No. Did it argue?

  497. No. Did it fight?

  498. Well, let's turn to Acts chapter 19 and Acts chapter 19 verse 13

    Acts 19 chapter mention

  499. to 6 and it said but some also Acts chapter 19 of the Jewish

    Acts 19 chapter mention

  500. exorcist who went from place to place attempted to name over

  501. those who had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus saying I

  502. adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches seven sons of 1 Skeeva.

  503. This is he was a left-handed Jew, a Jewish chief priest.

  504. We're doing this next verse. The evil spirit answered

  505. answered not come out but answered and said to them, I

  506. recognize Jesus and I know about Paul.

  507. But, but, but, but, but who are you?

  508. And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them.

  509. Now the spirit didn't come out. The spirit stayed in the man

  510. and, and then supernaturally gave this manpower, leaped on

  511. all of them, overpowered all seven of them, and stripped them

  512. naked, beat them up and send them out the house.

  513. Now we said this last week, 70 come back Jesus, even the demons

  514. are subject to us in your name. He says, I saw Satan fall out

  515. lightning from heaven. I said don't rejoice over this

  516. as much as know your name is written in the Lamb's book of

  517. life. The relationship is the most

  518. important thing. Here's what these two passages

  519. lets us know. If all you want to do is invoke

  520. the name so that you look powerful, come on then.

  521. He's not Lord. He's not your Lord.

  522. This is what happened with Simon the Sorcerer.

  523. They, the Peter and John, came down to lay hands on people

  524. after Philip had been preaching the gospel of the Kingdom and

  525. people were being healed. And then Peter and John came

  526. down because he said, hey, people are getting saved.

  527. We need to come start a church. Apostles come plant a church

  528. here. So they came and they begin to

  529. lay hands on people. Now it doesn't say they laid

  530. hands. You have to break down the word

  531. Saul. The word Saul means seeing

  532. something spoken. So they laid hands on them and

  533. they were he saw that they were baptized in the Holy Ghost.

  534. It's seeing something spoken. They began to speak in other

  535. tongues and psalmist like give me what can I pay because he was

  536. a sorcerer. He did tricks sleight of hands.

  537. He said what can I do to get this power?

  538. And he says you're cursed. If this is your position, you

  539. have no lot to play with this nothing, right?

  540. Because again, it's very dangerous when the believer

  541. wants authority and to function in the name just so they can

  542. walk and say, well, I laid hands on people that got healed and I

  543. did this and I did that and I did this and look how God's

  544. using me. That's good.

  545. And again, it's happening all over our world because again, a

  546. lot of times these things get posted on on Instagram and

  547. honestly, I cannot figure out with some of them whether it's

  548. just truly trying to glorify God or for you to think, wow,

  549. they're anointed. OK.

  550. However, this in the name is is a term that when EW Kenyon was

  551. talking about the the the name of Jesus and in Christ reality

  552. and an attorney came to him and he says, wait a minute, what did

  553. you say? He says that you can ask

  554. anything in his name. He said yes, So he went looked

  555. it up. He said that statement is what

  556. we do called power of attorney. I have right now a legal

  557. document. I probably should get my glasses

  558. so I can read it better. This is a legal document right

  559. now filed in our state in particular county and it says

  560. Durable Power of Attorney of Peggy A Glisson under Section

  561. 709.2101 ETSEQ Florida Statue known know all men by these

  562. present that I Peggy A Glisson of Clay County, Florida, here

  563. and after refer to as principal designate, constitute and

  564. appoint my children Earl W Glisten and Kimberly Joyce Till

  565. or the survivors of them to be my attorney in fact.

  566. And agents here and after refer to jointly and severally as

  567. agents to have an exercise all powers, authorities and

  568. discretions granted or conferred here upon under to my agent.

  569. And And in that event, my said agents need not act jointly, but

  570. rather each agent shall have the power and authority to act

  571. independently of the other agent without the need in any case to

  572. obtain the joinder, consent or approval of the other agent.

  573. She says general grant of power. I hereby grant to my Agent, as

  574. of the date of my signature set forth below, all power and

  575. authority to exercise or perform any act, power, duty, right or

  576. obligation whatsoever that I now have or may hereafter acquire

  577. relating to any person, matter, transaction or any interest in

  578. property owned by me, including, without limitations, my

  579. intangible. All property held in any type of

  580. joint tendency, including a tendency in common joint

  581. Tennessee with right of survivorship or a tendency by

  582. the entirely all property over which I hold a general, limited

  583. or special power of appointment chooses an action and all other

  584. contractual or statutory rights or elections, including but not

  585. limited to any rights or election in any probate or

  586. similar proceeding in which I am or may be entitled.

  587. All as to such property now owned or hereafter acquired by

  588. me. Yeah, that's legal.

  589. Let me tell you the blood of Jesus Christ when he wrote your

  590. name in the Lamb's book alive, and he said go therefore in my

  591. name, which means I do not have to get Pastor Angie to consent

  592. with me to be able to invoke the name of Jesus in a situation in

  593. my life. He has given me this power to

  594. pull heaven's authority into the realm of the earth.

  595. And the devil sure has to listen.

  596. But not only the devil, sickness and disease has to listen.

  597. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Poverty and lack has to listen

  598. because I have the power of authority.

  599. I just sold my mom's car to a dealership.

  600. Walked in, They said, is this clean title?

  601. Yep, it's clean. Send my mom's name.

  602. Oh, is it? Yep, I said, but she's in

  603. assisted living and I have power of attorney.

  604. Come on, I said. I called the county already to

  605. see, do I need to get into my name before I sell it?

  606. They say it's not necessary. If you have power of attorney,

  607. just have them make a copy of it, send it in so that when the

  608. title's changed over, we know you're acting in full authority

  609. on her behalf, making decisions as if she was personally

  610. present, doing it herself. So when you invoke the name of

  611. Jesus, it's as if Jesus, who's seated at the right hand of the

  612. Father, comes up off the throne and comes down into the earth

  613. and gets inside your body and is speaking right then.

  614. That's the power of attorney. That's what we have.

  615. So how in the world can the Church of Jesus Christ that

  616. Jesus is building? We are wanted.

  617. Come on, crime begging. I mean for me to say mom, mom,

  618. mom, Mom, I need you to come back.

  619. I need you to come back into my time zone.

  620. I need you to quit having these conversations with people have

  621. been dead a long time ago because of dementia.

  622. Mom, I need you to be able to come with me so I can.

  623. I need you to come. I have power.

  624. That's like Jesus. I need Jesus.

  625. Like I've given you power. All right?

  626. I mean, what else? What?

  627. There's nothing great. I've given you my name.

  628. I've given you my name and you're wanting me to literally

  629. show up. I've given you my name.

  630. See, This is why when we have made the Bible a religious book

  631. instead of a Kingdom book and we get upset about words like

  632. legal. Now legalism is defined

  633. religiously as I am doing something independent of God

  634. according to his word, and it will be good enough that God has

  635. to accept me. But we know that can't happen.

  636. But yet God is a legal God. And legal is not a bad word in

  637. the church. In fact, it is an empowering

  638. word. Because when I show up and

  639. someone said, well, you can't, Oh yeah, I can.

  640. Yes, I can. I mean, it's amazing if we

  641. function in the world like we do with God.

  642. Give me your keys because I want to take all your cars to my

  643. house. You say, well, that's mine,

  644. doesn't matter. I'll take him.

  645. So well, I guess the Lord wanting him to have it.

  646. But you're going to pay your car payment.

  647. I'm not paying it. You're paying the car payment.

  648. You're going to get it. Oil chain.

  649. I'm just going to use it whenever I want to.

  650. You're like, no, no bro, you're going to take your own.

  651. You're going to buy your own stuff, right?

  652. Because again, just like, well, that's my car.

  653. I'm taking it today. We were like, you're crazy, like

  654. I'm going to come live in your house.

  655. I'm going to come paint your house.

  656. I'm going to put it, change it like I want.

  657. You're like, what are you doing? This is legally mine.

  658. I mean, you would you let someone who had no home come

  659. squat in your house? You'd be like, what are you

  660. doing here? But yet we're like Jesus and

  661. he's like, what are you doing here?

  662. I've already given you the authority.

  663. I've given it to you. Just pull out the paper, which

  664. is the word of God, and speak it.

  665. Speak it. I can't get off these drugs.

  666. Name it. Name the drug.

  667. Please. Just give me a name.

  668. Give me any name. Someone throw out a drug name.

  669. What? Adderall.

  670. Adderall. Give me another one.

  671. Cocaine. Give me another one.

  672. Yes, speed marijuana, although they're trying to make that

  673. legal. Nick tobacco, Barleys and hops,

  674. right? I mean, we just name it.

  675. All those names are still under his name, which means he has

  676. authority over them. So they can't tell you.

  677. You got to put me in you. You, you need to go buy some for

  678. so you need it. You're like, no, you have no

  679. authority over me. In the name of Jesus I am free

  680. from addiction. I remember I have prayed for

  681. people that had smoked for years and they would come down and I

  682. begin to pray for them like I want to quit.

  683. I said OK great. And I said, I In the name of

  684. Jesus, I rebuke the effects of tobacco and nicotine in their

  685. body. And I command it in the name of

  686. Jesus to come out of their body. It must not reside in their in

  687. their cells. It can't hang out on their

  688. epidermis on the ends of their nail.

  689. And I'm telling you, it would smell so bad a few times I would

  690. gag of the smell of nicotine coming out of their pores.

  691. No side effects because the name of Jesus will do that.

  692. I said the name of Jesus. We'll do that.

  693. I mean, if a person, I don't care how bad you are, how far

  694. strung out you are, how far gone you are, it with lust, you know,

  695. pornography, I don't care. His name's above it all.

  696. Are you hearing me? I mean, you do not have to allow

  697. any spirit of lust to keep trying to show up in your life.

  698. You can rebuke it, bond it. It has no way to get through

  699. your house. And in your doors you have the

  700. power of attorney. Oh, Lord, take this for me.

  701. The Lord's like, Say my name. Say my name, man.

  702. Say my name like I took it. I've already done this.

  703. I did it on the cross. I have done it.

  704. It's done. That was the day I signed the

  705. document. Gave you power of attorney on

  706. the earth. I gave the dominion back to you

  707. so that you can rule and reign over all your circumstances.

  708. No problem. No problem.

  709. It's a power of attorney, yet we made it a religious book instead

  710. of a legal binding covenant where the name of G and when you

  711. believe it like that, you'll get exactly.

  712. And I didn't go into the dealership afraid.

  713. I did not go into the dealership ringing my hands and hoping I

  714. didn't say, well, I hope this works.

  715. So I'm selling a car. OK, Great.

  716. We'd love to look at it. Great.

  717. OK. It's title and your name.

  718. I hope this. No.

  719. Oh, well, if it's not your name, we can't.

  720. OK. And then we walk out.

  721. Yet you have the power to say it's true.

  722. But. But I said, but you know, you've

  723. been redeemed from the law of sin and death.

  724. So when the devil tries to say you're like, but I have this

  725. document called the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus,

  726. Hallelujah. I said Hallelujah.

  727. You know, I love it when people try to run from the law because

  728. they have authority. You start taking off and then

  729. they make a few calls and then they turn on the cameras.

  730. Man. I've gone down to Saint Johns

  731. County where they have all the cameras all over county.

  732. It's like, it's like eagle. What was that one movie?

  733. Eagle eye. Yes.

  734. Eagle eye, bro. No doubt.

  735. They got their eagle eye on my campus because I've given them

  736. access to our cameras. Ain't nobody walking up in here.

  737. Nobody's walking up in here. You driving on?

  738. Guess what? We got you tag.

  739. Yeah, right. We have a school.

  740. We have a preschool. You're not rolling up in here,

  741. right? You know, I just wish we could

  742. do a little different with the ones running the little Donuts

  743. in my parking lot. But we did catch 1 the other day

  744. because again, the camera goes off, the call goes in, and while

  745. they're still, you know, smoking in my parking lot, the authority

  746. showed up. Hallelujah, right?

  747. And again, I'm watching. I watched one where this guy had

  748. a, they stole a car and they showed me this.

  749. And so they found out where it was at.

  750. Then they would go on the cameras and start tracking where

  751. it was. And then they tracked him all

  752. the way to a gate. He was getting gas.

  753. Next thing you know, all the cops show up.

  754. So he takes off. You know, I do encourage our

  755. police officers. They really should stay in much

  756. better shape, but they took off. But again, there was enough

  757. there that it's kind of hard to outrun cars.

  758. And ultimately they apprehended him.

  759. But, you know, for a season he thought he was free.

  760. Well, if man can track US that way, where do you think you are

  761. that God doesn't see you? Where does his authority not

  762. extend? Oh, I'm thankful for the name of

  763. Jesus. Can we let me close with this

  764. scripture and we pray for people, OK.

  765. And Acts chapter 3, verse one through 8, it says now Peter and

    Acts 3 chapter mention

  766. John were going up to the temple at the 9th hour, the hour of

  767. prayer and a man who had been lame from his mother's womb.

  768. So how long have you got your problem?

  769. Well, I found out I was diagnosed with cancer.

  770. But you didn't have cancer before, right?

  771. This guy's had a birth problem. Now I will qualify this.

  772. There are things that God does that does require the gifts of

  773. the Spirit and that's why he has them there.

  774. OK. And those gifts of the Spirit

  775. are things that God will do on occasions that are faith of

  776. man's not required and he's demonstrating something, but yet

  777. it's necessary. Come on, the simple laying on of

  778. hands will not get the results of this.

  779. It will require the gifts of the Spirit with the gifts of

  780. healing. In this case, potentially the

  781. working of miracles. Most likely because if you've

  782. been lame from your birth, then you know you have what's that

  783. call when your muscles are all yes, right?

  784. Obviously his bones probably have no real depth or density to

  785. them either because he's never put any, you know, walked on him

  786. or anything. And so those two are definitely

  787. in play and could be a third one called the gift of Faith, which

  788. means it's something at another level, right?

  789. You know, and again, we have those that are with us in our

  790. church that are are deaf. And again, just because they're

  791. deaf, how why are they deaf? You know, some can lose their

  792. hearing. That's one thing.

  793. Some are born without parts of the year, and if parts are the

  794. of the ear aren't there, then we have to be in a position to

  795. earnestly desire spiritual gifts because it's going to require

  796. one of those as he wills to make those happen.

  797. This is why I'm kind of convinced that Jesus with the

  798. one blind man spit in some dirt and put it on his eyes and said,

  799. now go clean yourself because man was made out of the so I

  800. feel like he's like I'm putting on you what wasn't formed in you

  801. in the womb. Now go wash it and it'll be

  802. there and it was OK. So again, when we talk healing

  803. all healings not in the same category, although God heals, he

  804. is the healer and he sure isn't withholding.

  805. So there are things that we have to hear.

  806. OK Lord, you say earnestly desire spiritual gifts for

  807. certain things that happen. So we need to do that.

  808. You know what you should be praying that way you should be

  809. able to Lord, we desire spiritual gifts.

  810. Not so Apostle Earl or Pastor Angie would function in the

  811. gift, but that we function in the gifts.

  812. This has the Spirit moves on us because again, when the gifts

  813. flow is God doing the work just through you.

  814. In this case, this is a gift, but still he invokes the gift

  815. with the name. So this man's been laying from

  816. his mother's womb was being carried along whom they used set

  817. down every day at the gate of the temple, which is called be

  818. beautiful, in order to beg arms of those who are entering the

  819. temple. Next verse when Peter, Saul and

  820. John, When Peter, Saul and John about to go into the temple, he

  821. began asking to receive when he saw them begging arms.

  822. But Peter along with John fixed his gaze on him.

  823. In essence, he started hearing something on the inside because

  824. the Holy Ghost to talk to you and he said, look at us.

  825. And he began to give attention to them expecting to receive

  826. something. So again, did he have something

  827. for him to put in a cup? Did he do some action with his

  828. cloak? I don't know.

  829. But Peter says this, I do not possess silver and gold.

  830. That doesn't mean the man was broke, had no money.

  831. It means I'm not carrying today like many.

  832. You don't carry cash anymore yourself.

  833. OK, but what I do have now, why does he have this?

  834. Because all authorities been given to Jesus, then how has

  835. given it to us? He said.

  836. But what I do have, because if you don't know you have it and

  837. you're not going to function from that concept of having

  838. authority, then you can't give it.

  839. You cannot give away what you do not know you have.

  840. And if you want the traditions of man to only think all you

  841. have is heaven when you die, then you're not going to

  842. function in authority. But when you know you've been

  843. given it, he said. But what I do have, I give to

  844. you in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene.

  845. What's he say? Walk.

  846. And he sees now he doesn't wait on a response.

  847. He sees them by his right hand. That word means he snatches him.

  848. He's like that's, that's how convinced Peter is of what he

  849. just heard from heaven. He knows Jesus is not a liar.

  850. I've seen him do this way too many times.

  851. And now he just said, do it in my name, son.

  852. He said the works that I do, greater works will you do

  853. because I'm giving you my authority.

  854. He snatched him up and it says and immediately his feet and his

  855. ankles were strengthened. Now I will not say that he

  856. snatched him up and Pastor Mike's legs popped out.

  857. I'm not saying that probably mine.

  858. However, he began to dance and went into the temple.

  859. God has given us the power of attorney.

  860. It's the name of Jesus. All is his, all authority is

  861. his. And he says, now go in my name.

  862. And if you'll say what I say in my name, I'm doing it.
