Sermon
Different But Same - Kingdom Healthcare
Publisher transcript
Transcript
-
So we are on Wednesday night, we're taking some time to go
-
through Scripture concerning the healthcare system of the
-
Kingdom. All right.
-
And again, you know, it's very important for us to understand
-
the Bible's about a king, his Kingdom in his royal offspring.
-
And so when we're talking about subjects, those subjects are
-
contained within God's Kingdom, OK?
-
Because in all kingdoms there is a healthcare system and God has
-
the best healthcare ever. Can I get an Amen?
-
I mean he has the best healthcare ever.
-
It's better than Botox. Plastic surgery.
-
Come on. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
I mean, eventually he's going to give you a glorified body that
-
will never grow old. There's no indication you'll get
-
calories when you eat. That's going to cause you to
-
enlarge in places that you weren't enlarged at other times,
-
right? You're going to be healthy,
-
strong, never dying. Isn't that amazing?
-
And so God's Healthcare is amazing, but he's doing stuff
-
for us on the earth today. So would you stand for the
-
reading of the word as we open with our key text, Acts chapter
-
10, verse 38, it says, you know, of Jesus of Nazareth.
-
How? God anointed him with the Holy
-
Spirit and with power and how he went about doing good and
-
healing. How many?
-
Come on, how many? All who were oppressed by the
-
devil, for God was with him. Can I get an Amen?
-
You can be seated so we see here.
-
That God is the healer and he desires us to walk in.
-
Healing the enemy in his bag brings sickness and disease.
-
He can't oppress. He can bring sickness.
-
There are actual spirit spirits that are called spirits of
-
infirmity and they can do things to the body that your natural
-
medicine is not going to be able to remove.
-
All right. And so not every symptom you
-
have is from an evil spirit, OK? Because we are in a body that
-
has is not in its original design as God created it.
-
Because when God created man in his image and it is likeness,
-
he's told him to have dominion and this man would.
-
Live forever, because God said literally, unless until you eat
-
of the fruit right that day, that you eat of the fruit of the
-
tree of the knowledge. Of good and evil, you will
-
surely die so if. Adam had never eaten the fruit.
-
His body never would have decayed.
-
Now sin brings death and when he ate the fruit transgression
-
through his transgression sin enter the world, his body
-
released the nature of God. His spirit became dead to God
-
and then his body became a casualty and his mind, his soul
-
realm all right. He now lived by the his soul,
-
but he could not connect to God in the spirit.
-
God is spirit and we must worship him in spirit and truth.
-
The man after the fall, his spirit is dead to God.
-
He cannot worship him. He can only contact God through
-
his soul or try to reach him. But you can't worship him that
-
way. And then his body now is going
-
to enter into decay because he said dust you came, dust you'll
-
return now. It happened to take Adam 903
-
years before. He left his skin suit at that
-
time, and his body then without his spirit separated from God,
-
and his soul, when it exited him, went back into.
-
Broke down into dust, OK. And so obviously our bodies are
-
not, we do not have immortality today, but God can quicken our
-
mortal body in his Kingdom through his healthcare because
-
of the blood of Jesus. And last week, you know, I'm
-
just going to throw one verse out here to you, Luke chapter
-
10, verse 9. I didn't give it to the guys.
-
I got this on the front row just to remind you.
-
He said heal those who are in it who are sick and say to them the
-
Kingdom of God has come near you last.
-
Week we showed that anytime Jesus was healing, he was
-
referencing this is. Of the Kingdom of God.
-
So the Kingdom of God and healing go hand in hand.
-
In essence, he's saying, in my Kingdom you can be healthy.
-
In my Kingdom, I'll heal you of all your sickness and disease.
-
In my Kingdom I want you made whole.
-
And that's not a new covenant principle because when Israel
-
left Egypt walked through the Red Sea and, and we're on the
-
other side, it said not one feeble person was among them.
-
So they had a supernatural healing as they crossed through
-
the Red Sea on dry ground and got to the other side, a nation
-
that were slaves, a nation that had been previously whipped by
-
the taskmasters, and there was not a feeble one among them.
-
So God's nation has the greatest healthcare there is.
-
And we are a holy nation. And his healthcare supersedes
-
the healthcare of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and we can name a
-
lot of other ones, you know, but it's a waste of my time to do
-
that. And I don't care what country
-
you're from. No country can match the
-
healthcare of the Kingdom of God.
-
Now, that doesn't mean you can't use natural healthcare, No
-
problem. Just don't put that first in
-
your thinking. Seek the King first.
-
Seek his way because we already know he heals all and it's
-
important for us to raise our faith to what God is saying
-
because you understand faith comes by.
-
So it's very important. There's many of you that have
-
heard ministering, ministry and ministering on the subject of
-
healing. And a lot of times you can kind
-
of get kind of comfortable in your seat and say, Oh yeah, I
-
know that well, you can know a thing and not be in faith with a
-
thing. You can know a thing and be
-
functioning very natural and. Not asking God.
-
You can know a thing and not be in faith.
-
Faith comes by not having heard, because if you've heard and you
-
haven't heard in a while, then you may not have faith
-
concerning that subject. You have to hear again in order
-
to stir faith back up. Because you know, when symptoms
-
come to my body, I go back to the Word to stir up faith for
-
healing, not just say, well, I know I'm healed.
-
Knowing doesn't get it done. The Jesus said this, he said, I
-
think it's in Jane. Even the death the the demons
-
know Christ is Lord and tremble, but it does them no good because
-
they cannot be redeemed. So your knowledge of something
-
doesn't produce the result of it unless it's exercised with.
-
Faith or by faith? Faith is a firm persuasion that
-
what God has just said about something, it will come to pass
-
in your body. Period.
-
OK, so the Kingdom of God has a track record of 100% when the
-
word is on the person. Now, I don't know about you, but
-
there's a lot of times doctors will come and say, well, there's
-
a lot of reports out there that the percentage of these
-
procedures have this and have this.
-
And this is the results. We're seeing a lot of really
-
good in our clinical what studies that there's a lot of
-
really good progress with this new prescription or this new
-
technique or whatever. And you know, you know when
-
you're getting some really hot and some people, you know, when
-
when they've done all that they've done and there's
-
nothing, then they'll go into the trials and say, well, you
-
know, there's not, but you know, there's a low percentage, but we
-
could try and people. Want to be healed, people want
-
to be healed, but with the Lord it says he healed them all.
-
Hallelujah, he healed them all. Now the first thinking when you
-
say this is people say, well what about don't let your faith
-
go there? O rain, stand up.
-
O Rain is a human being that has a mind and a heart and God knows
-
his heart. Now if he has symptoms in his
-
body, God knows because God is not mocked.
-
God knows your heart. He knows if you're firmly
-
persuaded, if you're in doubt, if you have no faith, little
-
faith, great faith, He knows if you're wavering.
-
And we'll give a list probably in a couple weeks on the
-
hindrances of healing. And he knows this now, oh Rain
-
and I, He can tell me everything that I hear in the Bible, but on
-
the inside. So even though he's telling me,
-
I still am not in a place within his heart to know that I know
-
now love believes the best. I'm like, oh, Rain Man, he's in
-
faith, he's believing, he's healed, that God's got him
-
healed. He's standing strong now again,
-
I can say that I can rally with him.
-
I can encourage him, but the reality is he is the.
-
Only one Hallelujah with God that knows.
-
And that is a big deal. Iranian be seated.
-
That is a big deal. Same thing.
-
Oh, Rankin touch and agree with me that I have healing touch and
-
agree with me, lay hand, all kinds of stuff.
-
And he is firmly persuaded it is exactly as God said.
-
But he doesn't know what I know about me, the feelings I'm
-
having, the pain I'm going through, the thoughts I'm having
-
to cast down. And I can say it.
-
This is why it's better for believers to be honest.
-
Just be. Honest be honest and say I'm
-
struggling. I have some doubt.
-
You understand when I go into a hospital, when someone's got
-
into that kind of place and you go into a hospital, if they're
-
watching the TV, that can be a challenge because when you're in
-
a life and death situation, why are you putting anything else?
-
In Why are we doing this Now? Sometimes people are watching
-
because they're trusting that what the doctors are doing are
-
going to work. But you know what?
-
I'm going to go to another level.
-
I'm going to have healing scripture.
-
I'm going to have that thing coming.
-
I want people come and speak in the scripture over me.
-
I remember when Reverend Randy was dealing with cancer and they
-
ended up without telling the family upped his morphine
-
because they have decided. That he's not going to make it
-
through the rest of the year. So they're being compassionate.
-
And they are helping to manage his pain.
-
And we show up and man, he's out.
-
I mean, they're what I'm saying. He's out of his mind.
-
You, he has no way to confess. Nothing.
-
And I'm like, OK, he's not involved.
-
I have no idea whether his spirit man is connected or not.
-
His wife's confessing, but by the Holy Ghost, she went down to
-
the pharmacy and she says do we have to give him this much and.
-
They're like, well, no, we don't, we can cut it in half,
-
she said. Yeah, I think we should do that.
-
They cut it in half. His mind came back, so his
-
confession came back. And he sits with us today.
-
Heal of cancer. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
He's healed because you can't let down a moment.
-
Can't let down a moment. I remember a testimony.
-
That Jim Hockaday who used to run Rhema's Prayer and Healing
-
School and there was a healing that they brought in a boy, he
-
testified about a young kid that came in and they said he was
-
like stiff as a board. You know, he was just straight
-
out stiff and they brought him in.
-
You kind of had to turn him sideways to get him in.
-
And all week long, man, they were praying, they were
-
preaching the healing, giving examples, getting the word,
-
cause faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God.
-
And they're believing. They're believing.
-
And you know what? After a week, I think it was
-
maybe 2 weeks. They the the child was not like
-
that, went to the doctor and got a report that they were healed.
-
But on the inside, he knew they're going to need more.
-
So. The older sibling was having a
-
birthday back home in another state, and they're like, well,
-
we're going to go and have a birthday party for our other
-
sibling. You know we're going to leave.
-
And he and by the Spirit said, don't go, don't bring your other
-
child here. Let's celebrate the birthday
-
here. We need you need to keep
-
hearing, you need to saturate yourself, you need to keep
-
growing in this. Thing are you?
-
Hearing what I'm saying, no, no, we got it, we're gone.
-
They left. You know what?
-
It hadn't transformed them. It was through the ministries,
-
faith and faith happening that God was showing to the family.
-
I do want to do this, but they didn't want to know it.
-
Themselves. A month later, the child was
-
dead. Now, was that God's will?
-
No, because He's already proven out.
-
I want them healed. But there's responsibility for
-
us because God's health care system is that all.
-
Just like He wants all to be saved, He wants all to be
-
healed. I said He wants all to be
-
healed. He does.
-
And so we have to rise now. Again, I mentioned this last
-
week and then I'm going to get into tonight.
-
So we can see these examples, but I mentioned last week that
-
oh, Hallelujah. Amen.
-
Well, what was I going to say now?
-
I'll figure it out. I'll come back to it.
-
It left when I saw my title. OK, turn over to John chapter 5.
John 5 chapter mention
-
Glory to God. Jesus healed primarily 4 ways,
-
OK, by the gifts of the Spirit, by touch at his Word, and by the
-
faith of the individual needing healing.
-
All right. And so we're going to look at
-
some of these examples tonight where we see that God desires
-
that all are healed. This is what I said last week.
-
Thank you, Holy Spirit. Jesus did something extremely
-
controversial in one of the healings.
-
Remember, there was a paralyzed man who had four crazy friends
-
that brought him to a house because they wanted him to be
-
healed. They could not get through the
-
door. So they're like, we'll RIP the
-
roof off. Right.
-
I mean, that's like somebody, you know, busting through our
-
wall right now. You know, your first reaction is
-
like, have you lost your mind? Now, Jesus didn't do that.
-
No, she just didn't go. Have they lost their mind?
-
You know how mad people would be?
-
But you know, what did Jesus saw?
-
See seeing their faith. Oh my gosh.
-
Seeing their faith, like look at the tenacity of this group right
-
here. They are not going to be
-
satisfied until something occurs.
-
They didn't say, oh, it's too crowded, let's go home.
-
Oh, this is going to be too long to wait on this stuff.
-
I mean, man, you know, in most churches right now, if you, if
-
we go more than 30 minutes, you know, we're clocking out and
-
going. So when that's you're like God,
-
you're going to heal me in 5 minutes or I'm out.
-
The audacity of the demands we make on the Creator.
-
But these guys were tenacious. They didn't pack him up and say,
-
well, maybe we can get him next week.
-
We'll try to figure out where he's at.
-
No, they're like, you getting this today.
-
I don't know whose house this is, but whatever.
-
We'll put a new roof on, I don't care.
-
We're going to RIP this thing off.
-
So they RIP the roof off, lower him down.
-
Jesus seeing their faith, he says.
-
Something blasphemous? Blasphemous.
-
Can. Is that right?
-
That was considered blasphemy. To the religious it was not, but
-
to them it was. He gets down, sees this
-
paralyzed guy, and he says your sins are forgiven.
-
Wow. And man, the religious in the
-
room which they were taking up, they were occupying a place in
-
the room that honestly, they shouldn't have showed up.
-
And these guys could have gotten to the front door and wouldn't
-
RIP the roof off anyway, you know, because they weren't there
-
to be in favor of Jesus. They were there to find
-
something wrong, right? Let me catch and record.
-
Let me see if they say something wrong.
-
I can post it on Instagram. OK, so anyway Jesus said your
-
sins forgiven then. By the Holy.
-
Ghost knowing their thoughts, he said.
-
Why do you say to yourself? Why do you say to yourself?
-
Then he goes on. He says to let you know I have
-
authority to heal and to save. But he said it this way first,
-
he said, which is easier. Now no one in this room.
-
If at the end I gave an opportunity for someone to be
-
born again and if they still a rain, please stand up again be
-
an example of rain's not saved. Here he is come down to the
-
front. He wants to be prayed for.
-
And then all of a sudden, Raphael, who's on altar tonight,
-
comes down and he's because with O Rain and you're looking at
-
this and he's praying with him, right?
-
And he does the prayer. And what will we all say about
-
this person? When O Rain goes back to a seat,
-
you can go back to your seat. What we do be like, wow, he's
-
born again. Would we?
-
Doubt that would would Raphael. Say now I don't know when it's
-
going to happen. Could be next week when that
-
spirit gets inside you, you know and then the Holy Ghost shows up
-
and bears witness. Would your spirit, your children
-
or God. It could be a week from now,
-
month from now could be 3 years. Man, all you know is that you
-
asked so just. Hang out and wait and honestly
-
if it's not his will anyway, you're going to go to hell so
-
don't worry about it. Now we would never say this and
-
Jesus says which is but yet we treat healing like.
-
It's a big deal. I have, I have prostate cancer.
-
I need the best specialist and the Lord's like.
-
Who's better than me? Who's better than my blood?
-
Who's better than the stripes I put on my back for this?
-
Who's better? Who can give you a better
-
diagnosis than healed? But yet we act like it's
-
complicated. Well if we think it's
-
complicated then really that's a lack of faith or little faith
-
which means you need more because you can't get the whole
-
thing to come in. But we would never say this
-
about someone being saved. So we need to change our
-
thinking and say man, if symptom hits my body is easier is as it
-
was for me to be born again is as easy it is for the Lord to
-
heal my body. Hallelujah.
-
Now I'm not talking about things where he'll renew you.
-
I understand all of us are getting older.
-
I'm getting older, right? I may not be just like I was
-
when I was 25, but you understand I'm still healthy,
-
whole and can move. Function run fulfill my purpose
-
OK and so. We need to understand that, but
-
things that. Start to hinder you from
-
accomplishing your purpose. Well, I was sick.
-
I couldn't even come to church today.
-
People go to work sick, but they won't come to church sick.
-
Well, you know, I didn't want anybody to catch it.
-
Well, you go to work and let people catch it, in fact.
-
You go to the doctor and you let them catch it.
-
The nurses, I'm sick. We go to the doctor when we are
-
and you have no care for them. I mean, obviously I'm being I'm
-
joking, but. Here is the healing house.
-
I mean you. Should come and say lay hands on
-
me. I'm going to the doctor Monday
-
potentially if it's necessary. But I came to the House of the
-
Lord first. Lay hands on me because the
-
Bible says lay hands on the sick and they shall recover and I'm
-
going to recover. I'm going to believe God.
-
I'm going to stand and I'm not. Negating that if you need to go
-
Monday, go Monday. But the reality is, don't negate
-
the House of the Lord. And the power of one another
-
touching and agreeing. Don't do it.
-
Hallelujah. Now again, if you just can't
-
even get out, I get that no problem I understand that and
-
I'm not condemning you if you stayed home, no issue here.
-
I'm just saying make sure your thinking is as you would hear.
-
How much more? To do to come into this place.
-
I don't quarantine my wife when I'm sick.
-
I'm like you better get up in here help me out right.
-
You know I'm making a demand on her helping me out right and I
-
help her if she and which we are we're very rarely now my wife
-
really doesn't have tolerance for sickness at all zero and if
-
I call for a little too much she like you could get them going to
-
the couch. I mean, I'm not going to listen
-
to this. Like, thank you for your
-
patience and long-suffering right now.
-
I get it because I would rub your back while you're coughing.
-
But that's OK. I'll go to the couch.
-
I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
-
I bring you a glass of what? No, I'm kidding.
-
She'll do. You need some water.
-
You need some water, apparently. Thank you.
-
Thank. You she'll preach here and fix
-
it later. Hallelujah, she's in December,
-
all right. He healed by the gifts of the
-
Spirit. Look at this in John chapter 2
-
verse 9 it says now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep gate a
-
pool which is called in Hebrew peseta.
-
I've been to this. Pool, because it perplexed me,
-
having five porticoes. OK, in these lay a multitude.
-
How many? A multitude of those who were
-
sick, blind, lame, and withered, wanting or waiting for the
-
moving of the waters, for an Angel of the Lord went down at
-
certain times just OK Seasons into the pool, stir the water,
-
and whoever first got in was made whole.
-
Verse 5. A man was there who had been ill
-
for how many years? Come on, how many when Jesus saw
-
him lying there? OK, and knew that he had already
-
been there a long time, so now he's got that by the Holy Ghost.
-
So word of knowledge is how he knows that in that particular
-
condition. He said, do you wish to get well
-
now look what the man answers him.
-
He says, Sir, I have no man to put me in the.
-
Pool. When the water is stirred up,
-
while I'm coming, someone else steps in before me, Jesus said
-
to him. So he had no faith in Jesus,
-
didn't even know who Jesus was. He's just looking for naturally
-
what has occurred year after. Year the Angel stirred the first
-
one in sealed and I have no one to put me in now.
-
I've been to the pool of Bethesda because in my mind I'm
-
like man, just go lay beside the thing when it hits.
-
Roll in man, what's the problem? Roll in like a pool.
-
Roll in man. How hard is that?
-
Like put your foot down in there or something.
-
I mean, but it's not built that way.
-
It's different. And it is definitely difficult
-
to get down to and you do need to travel to get there.
-
You're not going to be able to lay right by it.
-
So if so, he ends up saying to him, you know, he said I have no
-
one to go and Jesus said him get up, pick up your pallet and
-
walk. No faith on the part of this
-
man. This is the gifts of the Spirit
-
called the gifts of healing are functioning.
-
The gift of faith is functioning by Jesus.
-
I don't know if there's a work in a miracle here, honestly.
-
Although if he's been lying sick for 38 years, I'm not sure what
-
that condition was. Was it debilitating in the sense
-
that, I mean, obviously he couldn't walk very well, so you
-
would think, you know, something had to happen with his muscles
-
and whether work in a miracle had to take place, do not know.
-
But definitely the gifts of healing, gift of face in
-
operation. And it said immediately the man
-
became well, he picked up his pallet and began to walk.
-
And it was the Sabbath on that day.
-
So how quick did the man get healed?
-
Come on, how quick, How quick? Again, it's not like hey, we'll
-
see if that happens in a month. Now, only reason I say this is
-
because you should desire immediates.
-
Now again, we breakdown word healing.
-
It means to be on the mend. And I'm going to show an example
-
is as they went. So there's no condemnation if
-
you're getting it as you went, but you should be believing for
-
quicker than later because what happens is if you settle or
-
allow it to be a part of your belief system, you know, it
-
could take a month and then guess what?
-
The enemy will accommodate that. So you want to say, well, let me
-
see how quick and then you raise yourself and say it's got to be
-
and you get to a place where you're making a demand on it
-
coming quicker according to how the scripture.
-
Reveals it. Then you settling for something
-
later. That's all I'm saying.
-
Now, obviously title is different, but same because
-
we're going to see that the same results take place.
-
They were healed, but it was different how it occurred.
-
And this is where most people miss it with the healing is that
-
you read us an account and you decide I want it that way.
-
Well, you don't get to pick the way he's the way.
-
You don't get to pick the way. He's the way because I have no
-
problem if the Lord says I want you to go to this doctor,
-
because the Lord may want to show that doctor something that
-
he's doing. But I'm not going to a.
-
Doctor, maybe the Lord wants you to go to testify that he is the
-
healer to someone who just said God can't heal today and he
-
wants to put in front of their face a case he cannot explain
-
but have to say I'd have to say. It's a miracle.
-
So we don't need to get prideful in how we want it done.
-
We just know it will happen according to what he says.
-
Period. So the gifts of the Spirit.
-
Obviously in operation will heal Luke chapter 13 verse 10 and 13
-
says this and he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the
-
Sabbath and there was a woman. Who was 18 years, who was there,
-
who for 18 years had had a sickness.
-
Look at this now caused by spirit.
-
Now the man with the 38 year disease wasn't directly affected
-
by spirit. He just said you're here, get up
-
and walk and at that. Word by the gifts.
-
Because there was no faith involved on the part of the man,
-
it came strictly from God. He was immediately healed.
-
In this case, Jesus is teaching in church and he notices a lady,
-
but he doesn't just notice her, he perceives by the gifts for 18
-
years she has a sickness called by the Spirit.
-
She was bent double and could not straighten up at all, so she
-
must have looked something like this.
-
Now you have to be at a sea into the spirit realm to know a
-
spirit is attached to that. He had a discerning of spirits,
-
so he did. He knows this is not something
-
that I need to go to Doctor Fatigue and you know, and Doctor
-
Maggie and take her to the chiropractor and let's work some
-
things out because you understand.
-
Could it be that not everyone with muscular sclerosis is just
-
a natural issue? Now you're not going to know
-
this unless you are from a different place of a different
-
nature that has a a spirit that that was in the beginning, the
-
Holy Spirit who knows all things man, when you have him function
-
as a believer, then it gives you insight glory to God.
-
And so by the Spirit, he knew that there was a spirit.
-
So when Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, woman,
-
you are free from your sickness. So he didn't say you're healed,
-
He says you're free in essence. He rebuked that spirit of
-
infirmity that had her bound. He made it get off her.
-
The minute it got off her, the sickness went with it.
-
Oh glory to God. And he laid hands on her, and
-
immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God.
-
Hallelujah. What is sad about these two
-
particular accounts is the religious were mad at the
-
healings. Now, do you want to know if
-
you're religious or not? Do you get mad when someone's
-
healed and you're not? Because if you do, you could be
-
acting religious and that's why your healing is being hindered.
-
I mean, it's not like the religious Pharisees do not have
-
the writings of the prophets and know that the prophets healed
-
raise the dead. Even they have the writings and
-
you know, they rejoiced about Elijah's healings and
-
resurrections and Elijah's healings and resurrections and,
-
and other prophets that healed people.
-
You know, they rejoice. But now here's even if you don't
-
believe he's the Son of God, why are you not rejoicing that you
-
have a prophet among you that's healing people?
-
It's because they're threatened by.
-
They're he's healing on the day that they've traditionally taken
-
the wrong way, interpreted the wrong thing.
-
Jesus said he, my father's the Lord of the Sabbath man, but the
-
gifts man, when they're moving, they'll happen.
-
And you don't even have to be connected now with the man of 38
-
years. Jesus finds him later and says
-
to him, because when he finds out who it is, because you know,
-
the Pharisees called him and said, why are you carrying your
-
mat? Well, IA guy told me to do it's
-
the Sabbath. You're not supposed to work so
-
well. All I know is I've been sick for
-
38 years. This man came to me to take up
-
my mat. I am completely healed.
-
You're going to argue with that guy because I'm glad I'm healed
-
right now. What's his name?
-
Don't know his name. So he's carrying this thing.
-
Jesus finds me, say hey, I'm Jesus by the way.
-
And here's the thing, he said go send no more, so nothing worse
-
will come on you. So here's the thing.
-
You can be healed by God and then a time frame can leave and
-
something worse can happen and people convince themselves that
-
God's doing it when it can be their lifestyle bringing it on.
-
Jesus lets them know, I want you in this state.
-
If you keep sinning, come on, you can be in a different state
-
that I don't want and I don't I can't control.
-
See healing when you're healed doesn't mean you'll never be
-
sick or attacked again. The best way to avoid is to live
-
righteous. But if a symptom comes, then you
-
have an advocate with your Father, you have scripture, you
-
can get in faith, you can stand believe and it can come off.
-
However, if you do not and you go back to your way of living or
-
how you cause some people want to be healed just to live their
-
own life. Could could Jesus?
-
Could he have at the pool healed?
-
Everyone that day he sure could have and people said but he
-
didn't. But it's not because healing is
-
not for them. I don't know the circumstances
-
of their life and neither do you.
-
So quit blaming God for keeping people sick, because people keep
-
themselves sick sometimes, just like a lost person keeps
-
themselves lost, not because God wants them lost, but they choose
-
to never bow to the knee of. Jesus.
-
And God's not keeping them in that state.
-
Today is the day of salvation. So which is easier for them to
-
be born again today or to be healed today?
-
Say Amen anyway, all right by touch.
-
Matthew chapter 8 verses one to three says this.
Matthew 8 chapter mention
-
When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed
-
him and a leper came to him and bowed down before him and said,
-
Lord, if you're willing you can make me clean.
-
Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I am
-
willing be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was
-
cleansed. When was it cleansed?
-
Come on, when was it? I mean, I've given you 3 cases.
-
I don't care what is 38 years of an issue.
-
I don't care if it's 18 years of an issue.
-
That is Spirit is attached to it.
-
And I don't care if you have an incurable disease at the time,
-
which was leprosy. Immediately all three of them
-
changed. Now you've got to understand it
-
is against the law of Moses that came down from the Father to be
-
touching leprosy. Lepers are to run around and say
-
unclean, unclean, and if you touch one, then you're unclean
-
for the rest of the day and you've got to do a whole
-
ceremonial bath. Jesus did not do a bath.
-
Come on. And since he did not do a bath,
-
you have to conclude then stand up, Thaddeus, hold your hand out
-
since, and it's because it's like we got leprosy on it.
-
You have to conclude then that when Jesus touched, leprosy
-
moved away from that skin, so he actually touched healed skin
-
that then spread through the rest of his body.
-
You have to conclude that because Jesus never sinned, he
-
never violated. He fulfilled the law.
-
So you have to conclude when he it was already pushing away from
-
the power of God and the touch of that power.
-
And we know when you touch Jesus.
-
Power. Yes, Hallelujah is present.
-
Thank you, Thaddeus. Are you hearing me?
-
So touch the man. Something's going to happen.
-
Look at Matthew chapter 8, verse 14 and 15.
-
When Jesus came into Peter's home, he saw his mother-in-law
-
lying sick in a bed with a fever.
-
He touched her. Hand and the fever left her and
-
then what does she do? She got up and waited on him.
-
I like that Jesus like I'm kind of hungry.
-
Well my you know my mom would make something but she's not
-
feeling good. Well, we got to get her up out
-
of here to get some food. Come on, let's go.
-
Let's go eat. Oh, yeah, I feel great.
-
Now let let me make you something.
-
Jesus. She didn't go.
-
Oh, I was tired. No, he she was healed.
-
What I love about this, He touched her.
-
It was a fever. You know what we do as believers
-
sometimes? Well, my throat's but you know.
-
I'm not going to bother the Lord.
-
It's really nothing. Jesus doesn't even want you to
-
have a fever. Don't let any sickness that
-
tries to attack your body act like you're well.
-
I don't want to. You understand the false
-
humility that believers get into.
-
Well, you know I don't. I don't.
-
Bother the Lord with that, I'll just take an aspirin.
-
It's really nothing. I'll just take this on him.
-
Bothering. The Lord's like, yeah, bother.
-
Really. I mean, it's like these stripes
-
were for no purpose. You know, I can almost imagine
-
Jesus saying I don't want one stripe to go to waste because,
-
you know, he doesn't want one drop of his blood to go to
-
waste. But Hell's mouth opens wide.
-
A lot of wasted blood. I said a lot of wasted blood
-
because there's a lot that are going to be cast into the lake
-
of fire, which is a second death.
-
And the blood was more than enough to keep them out.
-
There are a lot that are going into the grave early through
-
sickness and. Disease, a lot of wasted
-
stripes, wasted lashes. That healing was paid.
-
It's in the Kingdom. I said it's in the Kingdom.
-
Oh, Hallelujah, Mark chapter 5 verse 25 to 34 says a woman who
-
had a hemorrhage for 12 years, had endured much at the hands of
-
many physicians and has spent all that she had and was not
-
helped at all, but rather grow, had grown worse after healing.
-
After hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind him
-
and touched his cloak for she thought one translation she was
-
saying to herself, if I just touch his garment, I will get
-
healed immediately. When immediately the flow of her
-
blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed
-
of her affliction. Immediately Jesus, perceiving in
-
Himself that power proceeded from Him, had gone forth, turned
-
around in the crowd, said, Who touched my garments?
-
His disciples said to him, You see the crowd pressing in on
-
you, and you say, Who touched me?
-
Like really? I mean, everybody's touching
-
you, Jesus. But Jesus said he looked around
-
at seeing the woman around to see the woman who had done this.
-
But the woman. Fairy and trembling.
-
Aware of what had happened, came, fell down before him, told
-
him the whole truth, and he said to her daughter, your faith has
-
made you well. Go in peace and be healed of
-
your affliction. Jesus touched you.
-
You'll be healed. You touched Jesus.
-
If you're in. Faith you'll be healed because
-
many were touching and no powers moving.
-
That's what it's like in church sometimes.
-
Many can be present but not touching touching God, but not
-
moving God, not pulling power. Well, you know church wasn't
-
that great today. Well, you were present.
-
You were touching the. Pew or the sea?
-
But were you really in faith? Did you come to receive, to
-
touch God? Because when you come to touch
-
God, power is going to come. You could have power manifest
-
every service. Hallelujah.
-
The only thing that stops it is your faith.
-
Not my preaching, Not my wife's preaching.
-
Not anybody else's preaching. Not the band, not the soul.
-
Not a greeter, not the parking lot.
-
No Usher. It's you and you.
-
Alone, nothing stop you but you. She touched him.
-
Power left him. Ma'am, when you touched God by
-
faith and she physically touched him just as him because she knew
-
I'm going to be so weak. I'll be lucky if I can even
-
stand by the time I get to the guy.
-
I just want to touch something that's touching him.
-
She grabs the edge of his cloak. Power stops him dead in his
-
track and he was on assignment to go heal a girl and now she
-
has disrupted this house. Call the audacity.
-
The Lord says you're healed. Another way is by is at his
-
word. Matthew chapter 8 verse 5 and 10
-
says this. And when Jesus entered
-
caperteum, a centurion came to him imploring him and saying,
-
Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully
-
tormented. Jesus said to him, I'll come and
-
heal him. But the centurion says, Lord,
-
I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof, but just say the
-
word, and my servant will be healed.
-
For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under
-
me. And I say to this one, go, and
-
he goes into this one, come. And he comes into my slave.
-
Do this, and he does it. And when Jesus heard this, he
-
marveled. When's the last time you made
-
Jesus marvel? Think about that for a moment.
-
Don't you want to wake up one day and say you were marveling,
-
weren't you? Right, marvelled and said to
-
those who are following, Truly. I said to you, I have not found
-
such great faith with anyone in Israel.
-
In the nation that I have a covenant with the covenant, I I
-
don't have this with covenant people.
-
I mean, this is a gentile. This one is outside the nation
-
and knows how it works, knows how it works.
-
He doesn't have to see me because in this account it it
-
says, because it's kind of like that power of attorney deal.
-
He's authorized servants to go on his behalf to talk to Jesus.
-
He's not personally present himself.
-
He has sent a servant and they're like, you're worthy.
-
He's worthy to come. He's built synagogues.
-
He's done some pretty awesome things.
-
He, you know, he gives to us and he loves our nation.
-
And and then when he sees him at a distance, he sends more.
-
So tell him. Not even worthy come under my
-
house, go see what he was in the old covenant right And you know,
-
so he definitely the sin of his life was definitely being
-
exposed by the glory and righteousness of Jesus.
-
But he's like, just speak the word only.
-
I don't need you to get in the house.
-
I don't need you to touch. And you know, we're like, like
-
Lord, I need you to do this. And we make and demand you need
-
to do this. You need to show up.
-
You need to do this. And the Lord's like, all you
-
need is my words spoken people, why don't you marvel me today
-
that when you go across Scripture like Lord man in my
-
spirit, this word just leaped off to pay.
-
That's your word for me. Let it be done according to your
-
word. And then Jesus might be rocking
-
on his seat, sitting at the right hand of Father.
-
Say woo. I had a marvel today, Father.
-
I had a marvel today. I'm marveled by that.
-
I mean, could it be that Jesus saying, man, I'm not seeing such
-
great? I mean, I don't want Jesus
-
saying I've not seen such great faith, not in any of our.
-
Churches, come on. Because, you know, churches run
-
to the natural so fast in every. Aspect of life.
-
Run to natural counselors when they're having issues.
-
Run to natural doctors. Run the natural banks, I mean
-
run the natural so fast have no. Thought What's the word of my
-
king? Say now say that's not us.
-
Come on, say that's not us. Say like you mean to people.
-
Say that's not us, that's not me.
-
We will believe. God at his word.
-
Just turn your cell phone to believe God at His word because
-
God is not a respecter person. Sam, he'll do it for you.
-
Right now he doesn't care. You see what I'm saying?
-
He doesn't care. What I'm saying is he's not a
-
respecter. He's just looking for somebody
-
to say, speak the word only. Then verse 13 it said, Jesus
-
said to the centurion, go, it shall be done for you as you
-
have believed. And the servant was healed that
-
very moment. Now the he says it to his
-
servants who went back and by the time they got back the
-
servant was already healed. And then they deliberated
-
another account gave and said, now when did this happen?
-
They're like man, He said it here and it goes man, and that's
-
the minute. That's the exact time that his
-
whole life changed that the symptoms left.
-
Amen, Hallelujah, add a word. Look what psalms one O 720 says.
-
This is so powerful. It says.
-
He sent his and. Healed them and delivered them
-
from their destructions. I'm telling you, all you need is
-
the Word. I do not need Jesus Christ to
-
show up. I do not need an Angel to show
-
up. I do not need God the Father to
-
show up. I just need His infallible word
-
revealed by the Spirit to show up and then I will release it in
-
the name of Jesus and it shall come to pass.
-
That's all we need now. I would not say, oh, an angel's
-
here, please leave. I would not make an Angel go.
-
I would never tell Jesus. Bro, I don't know why you're
-
here. You should just go on back to I
-
would never do that. I'd be on my face and thankful
-
for the. Encounter.
-
However, it's not necessary. All that's necessary is His
-
word, and His word is the most powerful.
-
Thing, period. And the last one that we're
-
touching on is by their faith, aren't you glad you can be
-
healed? Aren't you glad in the Kingdom,
-
the healthcare system is 100% made whole?
-
Now again, you say, well, why is it?
-
Well, I can tell you a whole lot of stuff.
-
Why? Why?
-
Why? I can tell you a whole lot, and
-
most of it is a lack of hearing. A lack of hearing.
-
Listen, you cannot smoke cigarettes or marijuana and ask
-
the Lord to heal you of lung cancer and continue to smoke
-
because you're putting in that which is damaging your body.
-
Well, can't. Couldn't God do it?
-
God could heal your lungs, but you're immediately destroying
-
them again. And God is not mocked.
-
In my lung so I can smoke marijuana a little bit longer,
-
right? You know, heal my liver and then
-
I'm going to continue to drink alcohol.
-
I have cirrhosis of the liver, but I sure love to drink.
-
So Lord, just heal me because I'm going to continue.
-
That's foolishness. So you have to be a listener.
-
You remember you, you know, I've given you this testimony.
-
I, you know, have never technically been overweight and
-
always small, you know, stay pretty active my whole life.
-
I, you know, have carried a little more body fat than I
-
should, but at the end of the day, you know, still healthy
-
and, you know, my metabolism was still running pretty good.
-
And so, but I'll never forget I was 47 because I remember how
-
old I was. I was 47.
-
The Lord says, told me two things.
-
He said #1 change your workout. You need to quit working out and
-
trying to do heavy stuff. You need to train yourself for
-
endurance #2 you need to change your diet.
-
I said what? Well, I don't have a problem.
-
He says, son, you have no idea what it's doing to your insides.
-
Because he knew that my vascular system wasn't responding well to
-
the processed food. And when I did a blood test,
-
which actually I think it was 42, it was 40, it was 40 that he
-
told me that 47. I did a blood test with a
-
nutritionist and. They said, yeah, you got the
-
early stage of heart disease. What said yeah, but I can tell
-
it's probably turned. I said, well, I changed my diet
-
when I was 40. He said, yeah, Then it's been on
-
the men because what I see isn't for the last.
-
I mean, this is stuff you've been doing since your 20s.
-
I was a youth pastor. We ate the worst food ever, the
-
worst food ever with teenagers. The worst.
-
Please quit with the Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
-
People got us. You got to stop it, Chris.
-
Chris, you're going to stop it, bro.
-
We need you to be an athlete. That comes off the juice, bro.
-
All right, OK. All right.
-
Water. You're in training water.
-
OK. And.
-
I'm not here. I'm here to make you healthy.
-
OK. The point is, is if I had not
-
changed it and had a heart attack, it would not have been a
-
God. Problem.
-
Well, he loves. God and follow.
-
How come he had I if I would have not listened?
-
I didn't judge myself according to what the King was warning me.
-
But I obeyed him, and I'm glad I did.
-
Hallelujah. Say Amen.
-
Now again, what he told me is not what he told you.
-
So I'm I would never tell you you have to eat this way.
-
I can, I'm never going to do that.
-
My wife has a phenomenal vascular system and she ate most
-
of the stuff I ate and yet it did not affect her vascular
-
system. In fact, we work out my heart
-
rate gets crazy. Hers is like nothing.
-
I'm like, you need to do some burpees or something to get your
-
heart rate up, woman. Because I'm sweating over here.
-
I feel like my heart's pounding out of my chest.
-
She's like, what's next? What's next?
-
Let me may. I just want to, I just get
-
motivated like a drill Sergeant. I just want to her to beat her
-
face a few times to get her life.
-
But it's just like. OK, what's next?
-
What's next? I mean, I'm needing to rest
-
because my heart's actually in my pocket right now.
-
I don't even know what's happening.
-
But she has a great vascular system, great vascular system.
-
OK, OK, Mark, Tim by their faith.
-
And they came to Jericho and he was leaving Jericho and his
-
disciples, a large crowd blind, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus,
-
the son of Timaeus was sitting by the road.
-
And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarite Nazarene who
-
began, he began to cry out, say Jesus, son of David, have mercy
-
on me. Many were sternly telling him to
-
be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more.
-
Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stopped and said, call
-
him here. So they called the blind man
-
saying to him, take her, stand up, he's calling you, throwing
-
aside his coat, cloak. He stood up and came to Jesus
-
and answering him, Jesus said, what do you want me to do?
-
And the blind man said to him, Teacher, that's what that word
-
means. I regained, I want to regain my
-
sight. And Jesus said to him, go, your
-
faith has made you whole. Immediately he regained his
-
sight and began following him on the road.
-
Now when did he regain it? OK, now here's a couple things
-
about this thing #1 the man had faith because verse 50 said he
-
threw aside his his cloak. He's throwing it aside because
-
that is what he uses to be able to beg.
-
And he knows that I'm going to Jesus and I won't be a beggar
-
anymore. I'm going to see.
-
So he's in faith and Jesus acknowledges he's in faith.
-
Now here's the crazy thing that you almost like, why does Jesus
-
ask? He says, what do you want me to
-
do? Just because someone has
-
something physically a health challenge, let's say it that
-
way. Has a health challenge does not
-
mean they want that health challenge changed.
-
I remember in this sanctuary this is challenging.
-
So This is why we need to talk about healing.
-
In this sanctuary. There was a young lady, she came
-
down with a walking stick. So it was obvious to everybody
-
that this girl cannot see. Well, she is considered Legally
-
Blonde, and she comes down and gets on the line to be healed.
-
Now, I'm just going to be honest with you.
-
I know what all you thinking. You're thinking, OK, She's come
-
to get healed. She wants to see.
-
So I got in front of her and did the Jesus.
-
What do you want? And she says, you know, I was
-
diagnosed with muscular sclerosis.
-
Yeah, and I want to be healed of that.
-
Amen. That's what she wanted.
-
Laid hands on her. I know she was healed of that,
-
but she went back to her seat with a stick.
-
Now, you know what everybody will say.
-
Oh, I guess the Lord's not. She didn't ask for it, Right.
-
So quit assuming when you see people that they want what you
-
think they want or what you think they should have.
-
That's good. That's good because some people
-
have lived with stuff for so long, they don't even they don't
-
even have the faith to ask. And many people, someone comes
-
down in a wheelchair, oh, they need to get up.
-
They just we're going to see where when we going to see some
-
of them don't even want it. They're wanting their sinuses
-
cleared out. They're wanting their allergies
-
taken care of. They're wanting their sore
-
throat to go. They're wanting, you know, a
-
kidney stone to pass whatever and what you think is obvious
-
and Jesus teaches us what would you what would you have me do
-
for you? And he answered what we would
-
have considered obvious. I want to regain my sight.
-
Now this is really important too, because he said I want to
-
regain, which means he previously had.
-
Because there was another time that Jesus did not heal the
-
blind man the way this blind man was healed.
-
That blind man came, He came up and he spit on some dirt, put it
-
on his eyes and said now go wash it in the pool.
-
Anybody know why? Some of you know why could we
-
preached on this before? In this case, most likely this
-
man had something missing because man was made out of the
-
dust of the and so by putting clay or dirt on his eyes cause
-
what was not originally formed to be formed by the working of
-
miracles when he washed it off. Not every person that is deaf in
-
our church are deaf because they lost it.
-
Some are deaf because they do not even have the mechanism by
-
which to hear, which means they are not coming up here on just
-
the simple laying on of hands to be healed.
-
For some they the gifts, have to be in play for working a
-
miracle. And you know what?
-
I can't make that happen. Only God can do that.
-
Now you said what does God want? Yes, but you know what?
-
When God moves in the gifts, there are very strategic reasons
-
when he does those types of healings because he's ready to
-
do some big type of advertisement.
-
Because there was another man that was blind from his birth.
-
And the debate was did God do this?
-
Did his sin? Did his parents sin?
-
What was it? And Jesus said this is for the.
-
Glory of God because He's about to do something at this
-
particular time that is going to showcase.
-
The plan, purpose and power of God.
-
But notice. He was healed.
-
But most of us are not having to deal with something not formed
-
and we're having to wait on a gift.
-
The majority of us healing is ours today.
-
Their symptoms and the symptoms can go.
-
Their diseases that weren't there, but then you were
-
diagnosed with them, which means they weren't there at one time
-
and they don't have to be there another time because by his
-
stripes, she were healed. So quit trying to use what the
-
work in a miracle is in certain places to your life.
-
When the stripes are more than enough, say Amen anyway, all
-
right. So my last example is in Luke
-
chapter 17 verses 12 to 19. It says this again by their
-
faith. And he entered the village. 10
-
leprous men who stood at a distance met him, and they
-
raised their voices saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
-
And when he saw them, he said to them, go and show yourself right
-
to the priest. And as they were going, they
-
were cleansed. Now you understand some of these
-
examples. I'm giving a couple.
-
He says something out of word, right.
-
And out of word, things occurred again, He said something here
-
again, even the woman with the issue of blood, right?
-
She touched him, but also it was according to her faith as well,
-
right? So again, we're saying primarily
-
he's he is, we see examples of God of Christ healing through
-
the gifts of the Spirit by touch at his word and by their faith.
-
So he says, go show yourself to the priest.
-
And they were going and they were cleansed.
-
Now one of them when he saw that he had been healed, turned back,
-
glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face
-
at his feet, giving thanks to him, for he was a Samaritan.
-
Then Jesus said to him, were there not ten cleansed, but the
-
9 where are they? Was no one was no one found who
-
returned to give glory to God except this foreigner.
-
And he said to him, stand up and go.
-
Your faith has made you well. Hallelujah.
-
You know, in this account and some other accounts, you know,
-
again with the Pharisees getting upset about healings occurring
-
on the Sabbath, is that Jesus? And then with the centurion, he
-
said, man, I'm not seeing such great faith, not even in Israel.
-
Being in the church can bring a hindrance to your faith for
-
healing. When you are not valuing the
-
covenant you're in, you're creating it as common.
-
You're allowing your knowledge of a subject to override
-
activating that knowledge by faith because Jesus is like this
-
is a foreigner. The other nine were part of the
-
city but part of the covenant and they don't value what's
-
rightfully theirs. You understand we can be in the
-
church and we begin to devalue the benefits because we start to
-
separate from the awe and fear of the Lord.
-
In essence, we begin to treat. What God has given to us as an
-
inheritance as well. It's it's mine with no honor
-
that we that it's ours. We should always treat it as
-
with thankfulness, gratitude, honor, submission, knowing there
-
was a price, not like a spoiled child taking no account of the
-
price paid. You know most of your children
-
take no account of the price you're paying to put the food
-
that they are just easily opening a refrigerator and
-
snatching out and taking no thought of whether Mama needs
-
this last bit of milk for her coffee in the morning.
-
They'll suck that thing down and throw it and take no thought.
-
And what we want to do, we want to take our last bit of milk,
-
take no thought of Jesus, the plan and purpose God has for our
-
lives. And we see this in Scripture
-
that Jesus having challenges with his old covenant people
-
because of that attitude that those that have not, that aren't
-
accustomed to having those benefits afforded to them, see
-
great value and thankfulness to be able to walk in it well.
-
Let us not be us, the church. Let us not forget any of his
-
benefits, but be thankful for it and know that when we say the
-
Father in the name of Jesus. I thank you that I am healed
-
that at the stripes of Jesus we actually imagine what those
-
stripes look like on his back and know it was such a price and
-
that. He paid the whole balance to
-
this medical bill that is should been mine.
-
And I have no co-pay to this deal.
-
Faith's all I have and thankful that the Kingdom has the
-
greatest health care ever and that if I ever find myself under
-
attack or symptom shows up because I'm in a world that God
-
didn't originally designed this way and my body comes across
-
something and begins to attack it and try to get rid of through
-
my immune system or whatever. I'm just thankful to the Lord
-
that He's my healer. I can walk in that heal and I'm
-
going to have it and I'm not going to let one stripe go to
-
waste. Not one, not one stripe.
-
I'm thankful.
