Day 21 of Hearts Prepared | A Heart Prepared For What God Has Next

Forward church family, it is hard to believe that this is the final and twenty-first day of our 21-day prayer journey together.

We have prayed for God to prepare our hearts in many ways, and today we ask God to prepare our hearts for whatever he has next.

Proverbs 3, 5 through 6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Let's trust the Lord with guiding us down his path.

Dear Heavenly Father, today, as I conclude these 21 days of prayer, I pause to thank you for giving me the ability to approach your throne through faith in your Son Jesus.

Thank you for every moment spent in your presence.

Thank you for every scripture that has spoken to my heart.

Thank you for every prayer that you have heard.

Thank you for every way you've been shaping me, even in ways I cannot yet see.

Lord, these 21 days are not the finish line, they are the starting line.

I do not want this to be simply a season of prayer.

I want prayer to become the rhythm of my life.

May I continue to devote myself to your word, to fellowship with your people, to remembering Christ's sacrifice and to prayer, just as the early church did in Acts 2.42.

Father, you know what lies ahead.

I don't.

You know every opportunity, every challenge, every victory, every disappointment, every door that you will open, every obstacle that you will remove, and every person you will place in my path.

Nothing surprises you.

So I trust you and the plans that you have for me.

Just as Proverbs teaches, I will trust in the Lord with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding.

In all my ways I'm going to acknowledge you, God, and I know that you will make straight my path.

Lord, I do not want to simply ask you to bless my plans.

I want to live my life, surrender to your plans.

Lead me where you want me to go.

Teach me what you want me to learn.

Use me however you choose.

Whether you call me to serve quietly or to serve publicly, whether you lead me through seasons of abundance or seasons of waiting.

Whether the road ahead is easy or difficult, I choose today to trust you completely.

So, Father, continue preparing my heart.

Prepare me before the opportunities come, prepare me before the trials arrive.

Prepare me before the blessings increase.

Build my character before you expand my influence.

Deepen my faith before you increase my responsibilities.

Help me become the person that you are calling me to be.

And by the power of your Holy Spirit, continue transforming me from the inside out.

Would you renew my mind through your word, strengthen my faith through prayer, shape my heart to look more like Jesus every day.

May I never become satisfied with where I am spiritually.

Give me a continual hunger to know you more deeply, Lord.

I pray that everything we've learned during these 21 days would continue bearing fruit.

May my worship remain wholehearted.

May my repentance remain genuine.

May my trust remain steadfast.

May my surrender remain complete.

May my dependence remain constant.

May my obedience remain joyful.

May my delight remain in you.

May your Holy Spirit continually fill me.

May I hunger daily for your holy word.

May I pursue holiness in my life.

May I listen for your voice.

May I faithfully intercede for others.

May I stand firm in spiritual battle.

May I rest in your presence.

May I faithfully love my family.

May I serve your church.

May I love my community.

May I share the gospel with the lost.

May I have a heart for the nations, and may I faithfully make disciples who make disciples.

I ask that those prayers will become a part of my daily routine and shape my life, not just something that I finish and move on from.

Father, I pray over Forward Church.

As we complete these 21 days of prayer together, may this not be the end of what you're doing.

We pray that it's only the beginning of creating a culture of prayer and forward.

Would you prepare us for what you have planned?

Prepare us for lives to be changed.

Prepare us for people to be saved.

Prepare us for baptisms.

Prepare us for discipleship.

Prepare us for faithfully serving our community.

Prepare us to send out missionaries.

Prepare us to love one another deeply.

Prepare us to walk in humility.

Prepare us to remain faithful to your holy word.

May you find us ready whenever you choose to move.

So, Lord, we don't want to rush ahead of you, neither do we want to lag behind you.

Help us walk in step with your spirit, moving forward as you move forward.

And like Joshua told the people before they crossed the Jordan, consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.

Father, we consecrate ourselves to you today.

Our lives belong to you.

Our families belong to you.

This church belongs to you.

Our future belongs to you.

Everything we have is yours.

Everything we are is yours, O God.

Jesus, I want to thank you for saving me.

Thank you for calling me.

Thank you for walking beside me every step of this journey.

I know that the one who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it.

So today, I move forward in faith.

Wherever you lead, I will follow.

Whatever you ask, I will obey.

Whoever you call me to love, I will love.

Whatever assignment you place before me, I will trust you to provide everything I need.

And may my life bring glory to Jesus until the day I stand before Him.

And when that day comes, may I hear those precious words.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

Until then, Father, I pray that you would help me remain faithful, keep my heart prepared, keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, keep my hands busy serving, keep my knees bent in prayer, and keep my life surrendered to your perfect will.

And I pray all of this in the mighty, victorious, and life-changing name of Jesus Christ.
