  1. You've tuned into a mega church. We are people hungry to

  2. encounter God through worship and His Word being witnesses to

  3. the world around us. We pray this teaching blesses

  4. you and trust God will reveal Himself to you in a new way

  5. today. And.

  6. If you need prayer for healing or breakthrough, Want to find

  8. page through the links below. Good morning church family.

  9. It's an honour and a privilege to be here with you guys.

  10. Had a one opportunity being here with you last year in October

  11. and I've been very excited to come back and be here with you

  12. guys again. I just want to honor Pastors

  13. Ramana and Seema for just allowing me to be here, allowing

  14. me to speak. When she called me, I, I was it

  15. came of a bit of a surprise, but nonetheless, I was honoured.

  16. And I was like, wow, this is this is truly a blessing to be

  17. here with you guys and and to speak today.

  18. And so, yeah, I just want to honor them.

  19. But before we get started, I'd just like to pray, if that's all

  20. right. You just bow our heads and close

  21. our eyes. Thank you, Jesus.

  22. Father God, I thank you. I thank you for today.

  23. Lord, today's the day of Pentecost.

  24. Lord, we remember that your Spirit was poured out on us,

  25. Lord, to now fill us and dwell inside of us.

  26. Lord, to empower us, to guide us, to help us, to teach us, to

  27. point us to you, Jesus, we look to you this morning.

  28. Jesus and Holy Spirit, I ask that you would just help us

  29. every single day to look more like Christ, to sound like

  30. Christ, to walk like Christ, so that those around us would see

  31. who Christ truly is, His love, his faithfulness, his goodness.

  32. We praise you, Lord, this morning.

  33. We thank you and we bless you in Jesus name, Amen.

  34. Last time I was here, we stayed with Joseph and his family in

  35. the Romanas. And you know, Sima, she's

  36. notorious for, for her chicken tikka masala.

  37. If you don't know, that dish is holy.

  38. It was so good. And so when she asked me to be

  39. here, I was like, listen, I'll do it, but you have to cook me

  40. chicken tikka masala. And unfortunately, she's not

  41. here with us. We know she's in the States.

  42. So I'll be back. I'm going to hold her to that.

  43. I will drive 5 hours for that chicken tikka masala.

  44. He did not. There's no condemnation for

  45. those who are in Christ. He, he has to learn it.

  46. They haven't trusted him yet with the family recipe.

  47. But no, I just want to honour Pastor again because that man is

  48. a man of God. He is a man of God.

  49. And this place is a holy place. And when we were praying

  50. earlier, I just felt the fire in my feet in this place, like a

  51. heat coming from this ground that you have been meeting in

  52. and being faithful in. And you know, today I see people

  53. who are hungry, people who fought to get here, people who

  54. said, no, Sunday, I'm going to be with the Lord, I'm going to

  55. go and I'm going to be in community and in fellowship with

  56. one another. I want to hear from the Lord.

  57. I want to spend time with the Lord.

  58. And, and I just felt like as we were worshiping, the Lord saw

  59. that he saw people who are faithful to him who hunger for

  60. him, who, who spend time with him.

  61. And I'm excited for today because he's going to pour out

  62. and he's going to show up and it's going to be good.

  63. Just a quick story from the last time I was here is quite of a,

  64. quite of a funny story. When we stayed with Joseph and

  65. his family and we, we had that chicken tikka masala, his mom

  66. had let us know like, hey, this is this is the chicken tikka

  67. masala. Like if you guys get hungry at

  68. night, you can come out, get some more.

  69. I already had like 7 plates at this time.

  70. So I was like, I don't know, maybe it's possible.

  71. And then she left out some cookies for us and she's like,

  72. oh, if you have a sweet tooth too, like here's some cookies.

  73. And I was like, all right, well then that's a for sure.

  74. I'll be back for that. And so we went to bed after

  75. talking for a few hours about the Lord and just praying for

  76. one another and just listening to the wisdom of Sema and Pastor

  77. Ramana. And then they were just praying

  78. for us and just prophesying over us.

  79. And it was so beautiful. I was like, all right, I think

  80. I'm going to go to bed now. And so I went to bed and I woke

  81. up probably at 3:00 in the morning, 4:00 in the morning,

  82. something like that. And I was like, all right, it's

  83. cookie time. You know, you ever get those

  84. cravings where you just wake up in the middle of night and

  85. you're like, I need it and I know where it is?

  86. She put it right there for me to get it.

  87. And so I was upstairs, and I crept down quietly, and I made

  88. sure no one would hear me because that's a little

  89. embarrassing. Middle of the night, dude.

  90. Like, really? You can't control yourself.

  91. Like, just wait or something. I don't know, drink some water.

  92. But so I crept down and it was dark in the house and I was

  93. like, all right, I know where they're at.

  94. They're just on the table. Hopefully the box isn't super

  95. loud when I'm trying to open it. And so I go down into the

  96. kitchen. I open the door into their

  97. kitchen and I look to my right and Joseph's dad is at the table

  98. with the word of God open learning and studying.

  99. This was the night before Sunday service.

  100. He's awake. He had been spending hours and

  101. hours with the Lord so that he can come Sunday morning, he can

  102. feed so that you guys would have a, a word from the Lord and just

  103. conviction hit me here I am in the flesh and I'm like, oh,

  104. cookie and Pastor Vermont is like with the Lord, like I felt

  105. like I walked in. It was him, it was the Holy

  106. Spirit. God was there, Moses might have

  107. been there. Elijah was on the recliner and

  108. he just looks at me and he's like, oh, hi, do do you, do you

  109. need some water? Would you like some water?

  110. And I go, yeah, I would love some water.

  111. That's why I'm in here right now for water.

  112. And I never told him that because it was so embarrassing

  113. that I was down there. And he's just anyway, spending

  114. time with the Lord. It was just so beautiful.

  115. And then he came and he brought the word and it was when you

  116. guys were going through the book of Acts, he's talking about the

  117. different idols and things like that and just breaking it down

  118. scripture by scripture by scripture.

  119. And there was so much. And I bet you that that wasn't

  120. even all of it. He probably had more.

  121. But I'm excited today to get into the Word.

  122. Amen. Myself, Kyle and Courtney, we've

  123. been so fortunate to join a ministry and we were going

  124. around New Zealand, the top of the South Island, these past

  125. week. We started in Blenheim for two

  126. nights and then we moved on to Grey Mouth for one night and

  127. then we were in Christchurch last night and the night before.

  128. And it's just so beautiful to see the hunger in this nation

  129. and this the community and the collaboration that is happening

  130. between the church right now. It's all about Jesus.

  131. And these different ministries are like, yes, let's glorify the

  132. Lord, Let's see what he's doing, let's partner together.

  133. And it was just so beautiful. People were getting saved,

  134. people were getting healed and delivered.

  135. My favorite night was two nights ago when we had a youth night.

  136. And more recently, the Lord has called me to the youth.

  137. He said, Hey, This is why I want you right now.

  138. At first I was like, I don't want to do anything with the

  139. kids. I don't have kids yet.

  140. I'm like, Lord, that time can wait, you know, until I have

  141. kids then maybe. But it's just so beautiful to

  142. see the hunger in those young ones.

  143. They want to know the truth. They really want to be

  144. encountered by the Lord. They, they don't want this

  145. religion, you know, they show up on Sunday and, and there's

  146. nothing going on. You just come in and they leave

  147. and then that's it. No, they really want the

  148. outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They really want to, to read the

  149. word. They're searching for it.

  150. And so if you have people in your family, like I am a, a

  151. person that I can say that through prayer from my mom, like

  152. that's why I'm here. Obviously because of the Lord

  153. and his faithfulness and goodness.

  154. But my mom kept praying for me and praying for me and praying

  155. for me and praying for me. And so if there's someone in

  156. your life, a loved one or a friend, keep praying for them,

  157. keep praying for them. I just felt like that was from

  158. the Lord today, like just keep praying for them.

  159. A scripture that I wanted to read today is in John 15, verses

  160. four and five. And man, this, this passage in

  161. John 15 is just filled with knowledge and wisdom.

  162. And it's just so foundational because now as believers, we

  163. know, right? We know, we know the Gospel.

  164. We know what Jesus did for us. There's no denying it, but it's

  165. beautiful because this is what it says in John 15.

  166. It says remain in me and I will remain in you.

  167. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the

  168. vine and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

  169. Yes, I am the vine. You are the branches.

  170. Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit.

  171. For apart from me you can do nothing.

  172. It's so amazing because it's, it's the Lord saying, Hey, you

  173. have a part to play in this. Also come to me as you draw near

  174. to me, God draws near to you. We have to, we have to have

  175. this, this hunger in it. And thank God, it's the Holy

  176. Spirit who gives us this hunger and this desire, this burning

  177. inside of us. Like, man, I want to spend time

  178. with the Lord. I want to get in the word.

  179. I want to soak up in it. I bet you anything, Pastor

  180. Romana wasn't born again and saved and he was just diving

  181. into it for hours and hours on end.

  182. No, he probably built it up. He probably spent 20 minutes a

  183. day, half an hour, an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours.

  184. Because when you taste and you see and you get into that place

  185. and that secret place and you really get encounter with the

  186. Lord and you're spending time with him and you're

  187. fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, you're not going to want

  188. to leave that that space. I know you guys have felt that

  189. because I can feel it in the room.

  190. The Word of God says that God is working in US, giving us the

  191. desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

  192. So while we're abiding in him and he is abiding in us, he's

  193. giving us these desires, this desire, this hunger to crave him

  194. more, to want him more and to do what pleases him.

  195. You know, when I grew up in the church and I was just going to

  196. church every single like Sunday, but nothing was really changing

  197. in here. I would go and I would listen to

  198. the messages and I'm like, oh, that's awesome.

  199. Then I would drive home and that's it.

  200. I'll be back next Sunday. I left my my belief at the door.

  201. But Jesus is not a building. He's not a religion.

  202. He's a person. It's a relationship.

  203. And when we were singing that song earlier today, break down

  204. the walls of all the tradition and all the religion.

  205. Your way is better. His way is intimacy.

  206. His way is a relationship, a closeness.

  207. That's his way. And when you taste that and you

  208. see that, it changes everything. And unfortunately, a lot of

  209. people come and they'll sit in the seats, they'll sit in the

  210. chairs, they'll listen to the worship, they'll read the Bible

  211. here and there, but it hasn't switched for them yet.

  212. And so they might miss it here and there and they might, oh,

  213. well, I don't really feel like going to church today or, you

  214. know, I don't really feel like reading my Bible today.

  215. And I don't really feel like I hear the Lord.

  216. And I don't really feel like I have a calling on my life

  217. because they're not walking by faith.

  218. They're not close with the Lord. They're not saturating their

  219. mind with what the truth says about them and what God is

  220. calling them to do. I'm just going to be firing

  221. scripture off today. I hope that's all right.

  222. In Philippians 1/6 it says, and I am certain that God, who began

  223. the good work within you, will continue his work until it is

  224. finally finished, on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

  225. Lately I just been feeling like this just overwhelmingness of

  226. the Lord is coming back like never before.

  227. Like they probably have been saying this for years and years

  228. and generations, but no, He is coming back.

  229. And whether that is while I'm alive or while my kids are alive

  230. or my grandchildren are alive, He's still coming back.

  231. What are we doing to prepare? Are we getting ourselves ready?

  232. Are we preparing that oil? Are we spending time with Him?

  233. Are we interceding for our families?

  234. Are we praying for our neighbors?

  235. Are we trying to look more like Christ?

  236. We are the ambassadors of Christ as though God is pleading

  237. through us. And sometimes I omit.

  238. I walk by people and I'm not even telling them the good news

  239. that is inside of me that changed my life, that restored

  240. me and transformed me and set me on fire and delivered me and

  241. healed me. I'm hoarding that all to myself

  242. when somebody who could be suffering right next to me

  243. doesn't even know who Jesus is. What I love is when the Lord

  244. brought me back on a journey because I was so fed up with

  245. religion and so fed up with the mundane of just that, that just

  246. doing and not the being. That's what broke me.

  247. That's what told turned me to Lord.

  248. I just I, I because I, I felt it.

  249. I told my mom, mom, I feel like I don't hear God.

  250. I feel like he's not near to me. I feel like because I was

  251. trusting those feelings and not reading the Word, and the Lord

  252. came and he encountered me in my apartment and He gave me this

  253. burning desire to just go after Him.

  254. Sunday was not enough. Wednesday, young adults was not

  255. enough. It wasn't enough to go to Monday

  256. night prayers as well three days out of the week.

  257. It wasn't enough. It had to be every single day

  258. that I had to be doing something, that I had to be

  259. chasing after Him, that I had to be diving into the Word,

  260. saturating my mind with the Word, listening to fundamental

  261. teachings and praying and praying.

  262. And then, and then out of that, as I was spending time with the

  263. Lord, I just had such a desire and a compassion and a burden to

  264. go out and tell people who He is, to go to pray for people.

  265. My friend would invite me. He goes, let's go evangelize.

  266. I go, dude, honestly, I don't know what I'm doing.

  267. He said, don't worry, just come, let's just go love on people and

  268. pray for people. And we did, and we got to pray

  269. for people and divine encounters were happening where people were

  270. being highlighted at the beach and we were going up to them and

  271. saying, hey, what's going on? The Lord highlighted you right

  272. now, can we pray for you? And they would start breaking

  273. down and weeping and saying, man, I have been asking God, are

  274. you real? Reveal yourself to me.

  275. Just that week, just that day, they're asking, God, are you

  276. real? Reveal yourself to me.

  277. And He wants to reveal himself through everyone of you in here,

  278. literally every single one of you.

  279. And He can. And so when he was bringing me

  280. through this journey of abiding in Him, now I wanted to do for

  281. Him. Some people they get from a fire

  282. for God and they want to just do and do and do.

  283. But we learned that Mary knew what was important.

  284. Only one thing was needed, and that was to sit at the feet of

  285. Jesus. Right.

  286. In Second Timothy 17, it says, for God has not given us a

  287. spirit of fear. And in this translation it also

  288. says, and timidity. Sometimes as Christians we get

  289. it confused between oh, I'm being humble.

  290. No, you're being timid. Do you know who you are in

  291. Christ Jesus, seated in heavenly places?

  292. Has he not said? Has he not commanded you to go

  293. into all the world and make disciples of all nations, laying

  294. your hands on the sick, casting out demons in Jesus name,

  295. speaking in new tongues? Yes there is.

  296. We need to be humble and we know it is the Lord in us.

  297. But don't get that confused when the enemy tries to tell you,

  298. hey, don't worry, you're too busy.

  299. When you're at the gas station pumping gas and you see somebody

  300. and you feel that what, what am I feeling right now?

  301. Why? Why do I feel like there's

  302. sadness around me or brokenness or helplessness?

  303. That's the Holy Spirit tugging on your heart and saying,

  304. because that person over there doesn't know who Jesus is, but

  305. you do. So go over there, pray for them,

  306. love on them, invite them here, invite them to open the Word

  307. with them. I've heard you guys have ran

  308. through all the Jesus disciple territories that are available.

  309. That is amazing. Keep finding people who you can

  310. open the Word with and share the Word with and allow them a safe

  311. space to come and to learn who God is.

  312. Don't be quick to convert them or don't be quick to push it on

  313. them. God's working in them.

  314. He's moving in them. He is faithful to complete what

  315. He is starting in them. It is by His Spirit.

  316. It's not by might, nor by strength.

  317. You love on them, you be their friend and the Lord is going to

  318. do it. It's the goodness of God that

  319. leads people to repentance. What I love about this is that

  320. as he commanded us, he, he also told us, hey, but also I'm

  321. sitting in helper. He's going to come, He's going

  322. to help you. It's better that I go and John

  323. 14 it says, and I will ask the Father, and he will give you

  324. another advocate who will never leave you.

  325. He is the Holy Spirit who leads into all truth.

  326. The world cannot receive Him because he because it isn't

  327. looking for Him and doesn't recognize Him.

  328. But you know him because He lives with you and now with you,

  329. now and later will be in you. The Holy Spirit is in me.

  330. It's like crazy. His presence is in me, He's in

  331. you. In Second Chronicles 16-9 it

  332. says, For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the

  333. whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those whose

  334. heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly.

  335. Therefore, from now on you shall have wars.

  336. In the beginning of that, we'll go back to it.

  337. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole

  338. earth to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is

  339. loyal to Him. It doesn't say who is perfect.

  340. It doesn't say for those who have been following Him for 25

  341. years or who are pastors and ordained ministers, It says

  342. whose heart is loyal to him. It was so crazy when the Lord

  343. started to just work in me and use me so early on.

  344. And it's not to boast about anything that I did, but I was

  345. obedient and I said Lord, I just love you.

  346. And out of that love for him, he took it and he sent me here to

  347. New Zealand and I have had the opportunity and the pleasure to

  348. go to Palau and to Fiji. And I'm seeing a hunger, a

  349. hunger stirring up right now because like I said, the Lord is

  350. coming and he's looking for his bride who is ready for him.

  351. Are we preparing ourselves for his return?

  352. Are we storing up oil in our lamps?

  353. In Matthew 25, I'm going to read this passage in this verses one

  354. through 13 and it says then the Kingdom of heaven will be like

  355. 10 bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the

  356. bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and

  357. five were wise. The five who were foolish didn't

  358. take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were

  359. wise enough to take a long extra oil.

  360. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell

  361. asleep, and at midnight they were roused by the shout.

  362. Look, the bridegroom is coming, come out and meet him all the

  363. bride made. All the bridesmaids got up and

  364. prepared their lamps. Then the five foolish ones asked

  365. the others, Please give us some of your oil, because our lamps

  366. are going out. But the others replied, We don't

  367. have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for

  368. yourselves. But while they were gone to buy

  369. oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went

  370. in with him to the marriage feast and the door was locked.

  371. And later when the other 5 bridesmaids returned, they stood

  372. outside calling Lord, Lord open the door for us.

  373. But he called back, Believe me, I don't know you, so you 2 must

  374. keep watch, for you do not know the day or hour of my return.

  375. What stands out to me is that five of them went and said, hey

  376. pastor, can I have more oil? Hey mom and dad, can I have more

  377. oil? Think of that.

  378. I know it was 5 bridesmaids going to the other, but how

  379. often do we do that where we go based off of somebody else's

  380. faith and their oil and their intimacy?

  381. But the other five knew, no, I need it for myself.

  382. I need to gather oil for myself. Can I tell you there are going

  383. to be times in your life, because they're already been in

  384. mine, where in this season we feel like, oh, I'm good.

  385. I have enough oil and nothing really is happening.

  386. Nothing's really going around us that it that is with trials or

  387. tribulations or anything like that.

  388. But then when those come, you're going to be glad that you had

  389. more than enough. You're going to be glad that you

  390. spent time with the Lord every night and every morning

  391. memorizing scripture and meditating on the Word.

  392. Because when that time comes, because it is promised, I'm not

  393. going to tell you the Christian life is easy.

  394. It's not. It's hard, but it's better than

  395. what I was doing before. It's way better than what I was

  396. doing before. And it's not only my life that

  397. is being impacted by the Lord by changing me and restoring me,

  398. but the lives that I get to go and tell, the lives that I get

  399. to sit with and disciple, the lives that I get to read the

  400. Word of God to. And people are watching you.

  401. That is one thing that I have realized now more than ever.

  402. People are watching what you are doing.

  403. Oh, you're a Christian, Show me. The word of God says, oh, you

  404. believe that Jesus is God, So what?

  405. So do the demons. They knew who he is.

  406. As we're walking with the Lord and as he calls us right, 'cause

  407. he calls us to follow him, He doesn't call us to believe in

  408. him. He calls us to follow Him,

  409. right? When he called Matthew, he said,

  410. Hey Matthew, follow me. Hey Peter, I will make you a

  411. Fisher of men. And this fruit of the Spirit

  412. should be evident in a believer's life.

  413. The Lord says they will know you by your fruit.

  414. The love and the peace and the joy and the patience and the

  415. faithfulness and the goodness and the kindness and the

  416. self-control. I don't know how much time I

  417. have left. It's 1042, 1520.

  418. OK? I want to save some time for

  419. praying for everyone in here, so I just have a few more minutes.

  420. There's one thing that has changed everything this time

  421. around. Following the Lord in its

  422. intimacy with Him and intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

  423. If you don't know what I'm talking about, ask the Lord.

  424. Lord, I want to know you. I want to spend time with you.

  425. I want to burn for you. If you don't burn for the Lord,

  426. ask him and you will. It's beautiful and it's not

  427. saying that I don't fall short because I do and I make

  428. mistakes. Some of my friends will let you

  429. know I make mistakes. But thank God that He is just

  430. continuing, continuing to work in me and change me and mold me

  431. and shape me to look like him. I want to go back to to people

  432. in your lives. I feel like that's being

  433. highlighted again in your life who you are believing for God to

  434. touch. And I want to read a few verses

  435. and it's in Galatians chapter 6, verses 7 through 10.

    Galatians 6:7–10

  436. And it says do not be deceived. God is not mocked for whatever a

  437. man or woman sows that he will also reap.

  438. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap

  439. corruption, but he who sows of the Spirit, will of the Spirit

  440. reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while

  441. doing good. Don't give up while doing good.

  442. Don't get frustrated. Don't lose hope in doing good,

  443. for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

  444. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us go, Let us

  445. do good to all, and especially to those who are of the

  446. household of faith. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord.

  447. Right now as I've been in New Zealand and I've been believing

  448. for my family back home to be saved because a few of us are

  449. and a few of us are walking with the Lord and others know him but

  450. are not following him. They're being encountered by the

  451. Lord because although I'm here in New Zealand, I'm praying and

  452. I'm interceding and I'm believing and I'm declaring and

  453. I'm speaking life and I'm speaking the scriptures over

  454. them and I'm loving them for who they are.

  455. Come as you are is what the Lord says.

  456. We don't go to a doctor when we're healthy, we go when we're

  457. sick. And so as I'm in Nelson, I have

  458. their names on my whiteboard. And so every time I look at it,

  459. I'm saying you will be saved, you will be healed, you will be

  460. encountered, you will be used mightily for the Kingdom.

  461. And just recently, two out of my family members, one cousin, went

  462. to church on Sunday, heard the word of God.

  463. Because the Word of God is powerful.

  464. If you don't know what to say, there's a whole book in here,

  465. many, many books, many stories, many parables that you can read

  466. to them. And she gave her life to the

  467. Lord. That same cousin I had the

  468. opportunity of praying for in my apartment while I was living in

  469. sin, she came over one day for a BBQ with my family, and I was

  470. living in this nice apartment in Southern California.

  471. And I was like, yeah, this is going to be awesome.

  472. It's a nice apartment. We're going to have fun.

  473. We're going to barbecue, We're going to swim.

  474. I was a young guy. I was like 22 at the time, so I

  475. was happy to have my family over and to just hang out and host

  476. them. And we were drinking, and I was

  477. doing cocaine. And she had previously lost her

  478. father a couple years prior to that day.

  479. He died real young. He's about in his 50s.

  480. And she started to break down and weep and cry and, you know,

  481. which is understandable. And she was in my apartment, and

  482. I didn't know what to do. And I just heard the Holy Spirit

  483. say, you know what to do. You start praying for her while

  484. I'm drunk and I'm high because that's who he created us to be.

  485. He created me to be that. Even in my sin.

  486. He's like, you know, I'm going to use you, you're a fool, but

  487. you're going to wake up one day and we get to pray for her for

  488. an hour, hour and a half, two hours.

  489. We're in there, we're praying, we're praying, we're praying.

  490. And her boyfriend at the time looks over at us like what is

  491. happening because he himself is a believer.

  492. And he was shocked by the way that we responded because in

  493. that moment, we don't know what to do sometimes, but God does.

  494. And so when we pray for these people, God's going to do the

  495. work. You're partnering with him to

  496. see what is happening. And and now to know.

  497. She goes to my dad on on Easter. She goes, Julian, if if I died,

  498. I would have gone to hell. I would have gone to hell.

  499. And I hardened my heart because of what happened to my father.

  500. But now she is knowing that that was not intended for her life or

  501. her father's life, that there is a real enemy that he comes to

  502. steal, kill and destroy. And you're seeing that now more

  503. than ever in this world, the attack on the identity of

  504. children, the drugs, the addiction, the adultery, the

  505. idol worship, the mocking of Jesus.

  506. But you know what? God knew all this would be

  507. happening. And you know how He countered

  508. it. He created each and everyone of

  509. you for today while the enemy was thinking that he was playing

  510. chess and He's moving his pieces here and there and trying to do

  511. all this destruction and evil. God goes, no, I'm going to

  512. create, Justin, for this day and age and this nation with this

  513. testimony and these strengths and these gifts to tear down

  514. those lies of the enemy to combat it.

  515. And everyone of you is going to be used to combat what the enemy

  516. meant for evil, and God is going to turn it to good.

  517. Can I just invite Joseph up, just him?

  518. And I want to invite Courtney and Kyle up as well.

  519. And we're going to pray. We're going to minister to you

  520. guys. But before we do, I just have a

  521. scripture that I want to read. You can go ahead, just Joseph,

  522. and grab that guitar. Just help me out while I read,

  523. and the scripture that I want to read is in Mark 10, verses 46

    Mark 10:46–52

  524. through 52. I encourage you because I want

  525. to pray. I expect everyone.

  526. If you're in here and you're a believer and you know Jesus,

  527. he's going to touch you today. So you should be up here when we

  528. call everyone up. I don't want anyone in their

  529. chairs right now, the word of God says.

  530. Then they reach Jericho and Jesus and his disciples left

  531. town. A large crowd followed him and a

  532. blind beggar named Bartimus. It's so beautiful when they

  533. include these people's names because it's something

  534. significant that they're going to do.

  535. And it's saying, hey, Bartimus, this man, listen to what he did.

  536. It says Bartimus was sitting beside the road.

  537. And when Barnabas heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he

  538. began to shout, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.

  539. And you know what happened? People around him and people in

  540. the crowds, they said, be quiet. The world, when you're reaching

  541. out, you're crying out to the Lord.

  542. The world around you is saying be quiet.

  543. The enemy is saying be quiet. He doesn't care about you.

  544. He doesn't hear you. And there's two things that

  545. Barnabas could have done in that moment.

  546. He could have been quiet. He could have went home and

  547. continued to deal with whatever he was dealing with.

  548. In this case, it was blindness. In your case, it may be

  549. heartache or disappointment, frustration, anger, sadness,

  550. addiction. Whatever it is doesn't matter.

  551. The Lord is going to touch you and he can deliver you and he

  552. can heal you and he can do it right now.

  553. In fact, he's going to. But when Jesus heard him, he

  554. stopped and said tell him to come here.

  555. So they called the blind man cheer up.

  556. They said, come on, he's calling you.

  557. So Bartimus threw aside his coat.

  558. He jumped up and came to Jesus. What do you want me to do for

  559. you? Jesus asked.

  560. And he's asking you that today, What do you want me to do for

  561. you? As you have been faithful to

  562. him, You're going to be rewarded, not just in heaven

  563. here on earth. And so today he's saying, what

  564. do you want me to do for you? That thing that you've been

  565. asking and pleading and hoping and praying for.

  566. And the man replied, My rabbi, I want to see.

  567. And Jesus said to him, Go, for your faith has healed you.

  568. And instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the

  569. road. Thanks for joining us at Omega.
