-
Now here is very important chapter.
-
This is so fully loaded, I would say I'm afraid to preach on this
-
passage as well. At the same time, this is not
-
something I didn't choose. It's just coming along.
-
After 5 comes chapter 6. So we have to preach.
-
So what is the main thing here is that you you have this
-
character called Nehemiah. He is a man of vision.
-
Everybody say man of vision. If you don't have vision, you
-
cannot be a leader. That's very simple.
-
Whether it's a company, it's a business family.
-
There has to be somebody with a vision where the father has a
-
vision for the family or the mother has a vision for the
-
family the business has got. The CEO must have a vision for
-
that company. Otherwise things will not work
-
out. They will not be success.
-
Vision is the key. And when there's a vision and
-
that man will not back down, will he back down?
-
No. When I worked for a company,
-
they had in their mind a vision to prosper the company and sell
-
it for a big money. And they were, they were making
-
changes all the time. They made us read some books and
-
get caught up with the vision with a lot of resistance.
-
We all did not like it. Most of us didn't like it.
-
But ultimately what what he said is you got to obey your boss.
-
So everybody has to do what they say.
-
I told them you are going to end up with lot of inventory, the
-
parts will be too many on the floor.
-
Just do what you are told to do. So we did.
-
They end up with one and a half million worth of parts, extra
-
parts everywhere. But the business grew and they
-
sold it for a big money. So vision is in the boss head
-
not in the employees. So sometimes there will be
-
resistance. Change is always resisted by
-
people and that is any management book you read.
-
I am not telling you anything new.
-
Any book on management you read, they will say public will resist
-
change. That is one of the things we
-
have to fight. Even in the church it is easy to
-
talk about. For Nehemiah to talk about
-
rebuilding the walls because they have fallen down, broken
-
down, burnt, it is very easy. But in the modern day, when we
-
talk about vision for the church, it is more difficult.
-
It is there in the head or the mind of the pastor.
-
He has the vision and it is his responsibility to communicate it
-
to the congregation. And it is up to the congregation
-
to say I am joining in with the vision.
-
And if there is no unity, then there is no progress.
-
There is no unity, there is no progress.
-
Let's say we talked about praying for 21 days.
-
They only have maximum of 15 people came, I suppose, if my
-
math is right. So half the church was there for
-
praying, but half the church was not there.
-
So the half the church, I believe has caught up with the
-
vision of praying and something is going to happen after the
-
prayer. So we praise God for that.
-
I would say just did extremely well sustaining them.
-
Just coming every day between 7:30 and 8:30, praying for an
-
hour. I'm sure your lives are
-
different and changed because of that.
-
Holy Spirit will never abandoned a soul that seeks Him.
-
So some measure of blessing. I'm sure you all have got it.
-
So now here is a man, Nehemiah, and he had this vision to
-
rebuild the broken walls and to install the gates.
-
So he came and he has succeeded to a great extent, was one when
-
the world came to San Bala, Tobiah, Geshem, the Arab and the
-
rest of our enemies, that I had rebuilt the wall and not a gap
-
was left in it. There's no gap anymore. 1.8
-
miles or 2.4 kilometers of the perimeter of the Jerusalem
-
walls, There's no gap left. That's last chapter.
-
It came up to half the height, and now it is completely built.
-
Only gates were not set up yet. The doors were not set up yet.
-
So when the news reached the enemies, they will be always
-
enemies of the vision. You know, you, you take the
-
Bible everywhere there will be a man with the vision and there
-
will be an impact because of the vision.
-
Think of Joseph, he was a man of vision.
-
The vision was not just for saving his own family, 70
-
people, but the vision excelled far beyond to save the nation of
-
Egypt and surrounding nations, to see them through the famine
-
for seven long years. So that is what a man of vision
-
can contribute. And think of Daniel who was a
-
mighty prophet and who was in touch with God and he was able
-
to be the advisor because he was the most intelligent man and he
-
successively has been the Prime Minister or the highest post he
-
held for 5 or 6 kings successively.
-
And the Kingdom is better because of Daniel.
-
Kingdom is better because of Daniel and because of what he
-
spoke, what Daniel spoke. You have the book of Nehemiah
-
fulfilling what Daniel has prophesied, Jeremiah has
-
prophesied, Ezekiel has prophesied and now is the time
-
of fulfillment. And now you have got these
-
characters, Sun ballot, Tobiah, the Ghesham, the Arab and all
-
other enemies, many others. We we looked at in in the map
-
one of the days before the the enemies were there from four or
-
five directions who want to stop the work.
-
So there will be opposition. So what is happening here is
-
Sanbar and Geshem sent me this message.
-
Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain
-
of Oh no, Oh no, Oh no is the name of the place.
-
Can we see it on the map, please?
-
So where is it? Oh no, you got 1 white rectangle
-
on the top. On the left is Oh no, there's a
-
dot, block dot. And from there to Jerusalem is
-
about 37 miles or about 60 kilometers, so 60 kilometers of
-
distance. They are saying let us meet in
-
the plains of oh, no, one of the villages, not one particular
-
place, one of the villages. Now that place has a politically
-
it is closer to some area that is Tobias Sun Ballads place and
-
it is something that that actually was not belonging to
-
Israel or to Judah for a quite a long time.
-
Oh, no, sorry, it's too hard for reading.
-
I can see a lot of people stretching their eyes, eyes
-
coming out. So if you have the thing, I
-
could have just pointed it out. It's just here.
-
Oh no, see Ashdod. And after that on top of the
-
three more places, and then you've got Oh no, And on top of
-
that you've got effect, the big rectangle, not that rectangle,
-
small one. That big rectangle there next to
-
the left is oh, no, cool. So basically what they're trying
-
to do is they want to draw Nehemiah away from his
-
commitment to the vision. A day's journey, they said.
-
Day's journey, 60 kilometers. In those days, I do not know it
-
have taken more than a day. Probably many people think it is
-
a day's journey, 60 kilometers. I do not think they can cover
-
unless they go on a horse or something like that.
-
Thank you. Oops, sorry.
-
That is. Oh, no.
-
And Jerusalem is here. Yehuda Jhuda, that is.
-
I think it is Jerusalem. Yeah.
-
Even I am not able to read anyway, so you have this Tobiah,
-
sorry Sun ballot Samaria, then Tobiah from somewhere here Ramon
-
and then you've got enemies when he said other enemies is Ashdod.
-
And then you do Mia here down South, everywhere you have
-
surrounded by the enemies and in the times difficult times, he
-
rebuild the wall in 52 days. Everybody say 52 days if it took
-
for him to travel from Suisa, the capital, to Jerusalem, three
-
or four months. He wanted things to be so quick
-
before the message goes to Suisa and comes back.
-
He wanted the watch to be rebuilt.
-
There's a time constraint. So he is a man of vision and
-
because of that vision he had, he was able to motivate the
-
people a lot. What each one should do.
-
We say all that in the previous chapter, how he organized the
-
thing. But when this is all done now
-
they are still saying, OK, gates are not set up, doors are not
-
set up. Now is the time we had to stop
-
the work. So they sent him this letter
-
saying come, let us talk in the villages of Ono to draw him away
-
so that they can harm him. You know, you have a similar
-
kind of a situation in the New Testament.
-
The Jewish Jews asked the centurion that Paul be produced
-
at certain place and when they asked, there were about 30 or 40
-
people who wowed. They will not eat food until
-
they kill Paul. So traveling from one place to
-
another is just a big risk and Nehemiah was being exposed to
-
the risk. And Nehemiah understood their
-
ulterior motive that he had the discernment to know that they
-
want to harm him. So he said, what is his
-
response? He says but the scheming to harm
-
me. So I send messengers to them
-
with this reply. I am carrying on a great project
-
and cannot go down. I'm carrying on a great project.
-
I'm doing a great work. I cannot leave my work and go.
-
And this is what will happen with a man of vision.
-
He will not take any time off. He is just after it all the
-
time. So, so many times I think about
-
our own church, Omega. Is there a vision?
-
Is it out of my own mind? I said we should have a church.
-
No, we have been disappointed going to church for many years
-
in New Zealand, many places, many churches, either you will
-
find the word of God preached there and no work of the Holy
-
Spirit, or you see the demonstration of the Spirit and
-
no word is being preached. So we were completely, totally
-
discouraged about the whole thing.
-
And the vision is not just after experiencing these things.
-
Vision started in the year 2000 when the Lord gave me a vision.
-
I'm not trying to make up a vision.
-
No, it is a vision that God has given me.
-
And he said come build my church.
-
And it took more than 20 years before it happened.
-
I did not want to engineer it. I did not want to create it.
-
I do not want to force it. I do not want to do any of those
-
things. So the vision is in my heart.
-
Sometimes vision will be resisted, but we are not trying
-
to be very harsh with anything these matters.
-
It is natural. It is natural, like I was an
-
employee, I didn't like what my boss told me, but the boss gives
-
you an ultimate, OK, either you do what I want or you go.
-
So I did not want to go. So I did what my boss wanted.
-
You know, that was I am forced to do it.
-
But the same way vision always is challenging because not
-
everybody will understand the vision.
-
They will only understand partially.
-
So I cannot find for everyone about it.
-
We can only encourage, that's my job, is to put that vision
-
before everybody. How we are to study the world
-
and then how we are to obey the world, to bring that revival,
-
end time revival in this city. That's my job to keep that
-
vision fresh all the time. I was just thinking about Billy
-
Graham. What made a turning point in the
-
life of Billy Graham? Billy Graham had another person
-
who was more popular than Billy Graham, drawing more people to
-
his meetings. And suddenly one day he says I
-
don't believe in this God anymore.
-
It it was a shock to a young Billy Graham how this man,
-
intellectually so powerful and who was having the oratory
-
skills were drawing so many thousands of people to his
-
meetings, suddenly says, I don't believe in God anymore.
-
He shook him thoroughly. He said, what am I believing?
-
What is the gospel I am believing?
-
What am I going to preach? How am I going to sustain my own
-
faith? Somebody's disbelief has shaken
-
Billy Graham to the core. And one day he went into the
-
woods. When he went into the woods, he
-
found a stump, put the Bible on the stump and said, I believe
-
that this is the word of God. I believe this is the word of
-
God. Whatever happens to me, I don't
-
care, but I believe this is the word of God.
-
And one of the times when he was preaching on the book of Jonah
-
and he said book of Jonah, you see that the fish followed Jonah
-
is the is the Bible said that the Jonah swallowed the fish,
-
the big huge fish. I will still believe it.
-
What is important is our commitment to believe the Word
-
of God is very, very important. This word will not change.
-
This word is the one that is given for the church to grow on
-
it, to become strong. Your vision should come from
-
this book, no other. That's why we say Bible study is
-
important. Why everything I do in this
-
church is very well thought about.
-
It is not random. I have seen a church that they
-
meet six days in a week. They were tired of going to the
-
church and there are times there are people who don't care to go
-
to church. I said if even having personal
-
quiet time is a struggle to many people because you have a job,
-
you have got so many commitments.
-
Some days you will read the Bible and pray.
-
Some days you don't read the Bible and pray.
-
I know the human weakness. That's the reason why I said if
-
you get a strong word on a Sunday and a strong word on one
-
of the weekdays, if you obey that word, your life will not be
-
the same. You will be changed because you
-
obey the word. I'm going with the minimum
-
thing, not the maximum. I'm going with the minimum.
-
I'm not pushing too much. If you have the word 2 days, it
-
will carry you through 7 days. Cool.
-
So here is the man of vision and he replies saying I'm doing a
-
great work. See, that's what everybody
-
should have. A father must know the vision
-
for the family, mother must know the vision for the family, the
-
boss should know the vision for his company, and the pastor
-
should know the vision for the church.
-
And if the pastor does not have vision, that is a church that
-
has no hope. So we need more pastors with
-
vision. That's very important.
-
If the word of the Lord does not come to a man and starts a
-
church, he can still start. He can, he can still gather
-
people. In particularly in large
-
populous nations like India, anybody can start a church and
-
there will be people coming there.
-
It's not very difficult at all to gather a crowd there.
-
So now, but there was scheming to harm me, so I send messages
-
to them. I am carrying on a great project
-
that cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I
-
leave it and go down to you? So we need to know that work
-
will be stopped. Distracted discouragement and
-
the enemy can attack. That's the reason why the leader
-
must be focused on the vision, and he was focused on the
-
vision. And because of that, four times
-
I sent the same message and each time I gave them the same
-
answer. That's very important.
-
Same message was sent. He gave the same reply because
-
the vision has not changed. The vision to rebuild the walls
-
has not changed, so he had to give the same reply.
-
So this is the first strategy to discourage Nehemiah from
-
completing the work. Walls are up now and the doors
-
have to be fixed and they want to stop it.
-
So they resorted to strategy #2 plan 2.
-
Plan 1 is failed. Was the plan 2.
-
Now they gave a man a messenger. A open letter is not.
-
It is not a scroll rolled up with a seal on it so that only
-
the intended recipient will open the break the seal and read the
-
letter. That is how it was in those
-
days. It has to be sealed probably
-
with wax wax or something like that and then the wax is easy to
-
break and then you open the scroll and read it.
-
Instead they sent a open letter. Now this is like open letter is
-
anybody can read basically. It is like gossip.
-
It is like gossip. It is like bringing the man down
-
by words that were to discourage the man.
-
And in fact, yeah, the unsealed letter came in which it was
-
written. What did he do in this letter?
-
What did he write in this thing? First thing is it became from
-
private attack to public attack. Previously they sent four times
-
the sealed envelope. OK, read this for yourself.
-
That was private. Now its an open letter from
-
private became public. So they will try to bring the
-
man down by publicly attacking him with the words.
-
What are the words they used this they have they said it is
-
reported among the nations and Geshem says it is true.
-
You know these, there's a man called War on VSB.
-
In his commentary he says many churches are down, they're
-
pulled down because of it is reported, it is true.
-
These are dangerous words in a church.
-
It is reported, it is true. So everywhere it is reported, it
-
is true. It is reported, isn't it true?
-
And then people scatter everywhere.
-
So we need to be very careful before we open our mouth to
-
destroy a church. We should be very careful not to
-
do those kind of things. So they have done it.
-
Its true that you and the Jews are plotting to revolt and
-
therefore you are building the wall.
-
What is the purpose of building the wall?
-
You want to revolt against the king, you want to become the
-
king and then you want to appoint false prophets to go and
-
tell the people this man is the king, go from God to proclaim
-
that he is the king from God. False prophecies.
-
So that is what they are trying to say here.
-
Moreover, according to these reports, you are about to become
-
the king and have even appointed prophets to make this
-
proclamation about you. In Jerusalem there is a king in
-
Judah. The prophecy is there is a king
-
in Judah. Nehemiah is the new king.
-
That's why you appointed prophets to proclaim it.
-
How dangerous is that? It is very dangerous.
-
He has, no, he doesn't have any of these things.
-
So how do you counter a false report that is circulating in
-
the community or in the church? Only by speaking the truth.
-
So what is the truth? He spoke, he said I sent him
-
this reply. Nothing like what you're saying
-
is happening. You're just making it up out of
-
your own head. That's your imagination, sun
-
ballad. That's the imagination, Tobiah,
-
that's your imagination. And Geshem, that's your
-
imagination. It's not at all true.
-
I my intention is not to revolt. My intention is not to become
-
the king, and I do not have false prophets to proclaim it.
-
For me. Religion, politics, everything
-
is mixed up in this chapter. Religion and politics are mixed
-
up, and that becomes a dangerous explosive.
-
So what happens here? No.
-
Now this report will get back to the king.
-
So come, let us come comfort together.
-
Let's meet and talk. What they're trying to say is,
-
hey, you can't be doing things alone.
-
Let's talk together. Let us have a part from the
-
beginning. They said you have no part in
-
this. You have no part in this.
-
And now they're saying, I'm, we want to force your hand to come
-
to this table to talk. Let's talk.
-
That's, that's that's what they were trying to do.
-
Then he said they were all trying to frighten us, thinking
-
their hands will get too weak for the work.
-
Two factors are there. One, psychological warfare is
-
happening here to frighten Nehemiah and others were
-
involved in building, rebuilding the walls.
-
Fear. They won't put fear.
-
Hey, if you build the walls, the king is going to come to know
-
and he will send the army and you are all gone.
-
You are all dead. So that was, that is the fear
-
they are trying to create. And the second thing is his
-
hands will go limp. That means you will be
-
discouraged. He will not have the motivation.
-
He will not have the energy to do what he wants to do.
-
And what Nehemiah did, he exactly prayed something similar
-
to what they were wanting to happen, but in the opposite
-
effect. He prayed a simple prayer and he
-
said, I prayed now strengthen my hands, strengthen my hands,
-
strengthen me because I want to do your work.
-
I want to do the vision that you have.
-
You know, it puzzles me. Whenever I think of Nehemiah's
-
life, it puzzles me. He is fulfilling every prophecy
-
that has been foretold beforehand through Daniel,
-
through Jeremiah, Eskil, everybody.
-
But he himself doesn't have a vision in the sense a
-
supernatural communication, an Angel appearing to him, having a
-
dream, none of these things. But why it is important is for
-
us New Testament Christians, when you are committed to the
-
world and obey the world, that revival will come, the revival
-
will come. And when when it comes to
-
vision, sometimes you know it will be like Paul.
-
Paul had a vision, vision that they should not set sail.
-
The weather is going to be rough, its going to cost human
-
life. He told the captain, hey
-
captain, we should not be sailing now because this is not
-
the right season for us. Let's winter here.
-
They said no, no, no. Everybody said no, no, we are
-
not going to listen to you. And then they go and get stuck
-
in the storm for two weeks. There are no sun and you know
-
rest of the story. Sometimes it is very rare.
-
It is a negative example of a vision I am trying to give here
-
is not a positive. Like Joseph is a +1, Daniel is a
-
+1, but Paul is a -1 He had the vision.
-
No one listened to him and they landed up in the storm.
-
But because of that vision of the one man, they were all saved
-
with their life. The ship is gone, it was broken
-
into pieces, the cargo is gone, but they all were shared.
-
Because of the one man's vision. An Angel of God stood by him and
-
said not a hare will be lost, Paul, because I am with you and
-
all the people on the ship I give to you.
-
They were all saved. They all believed in the name of
-
Jesus because of one man. So whether it is positive
-
vision, negative vision, vision is very important.
-
Whether you are driving or the captain having a vision, or you
-
are a sailor or you are just a passenger having a vision, when
-
the vision is from God, that vision will succeed.
-
Nobody can stop it. That's why Jesus said, I build
-
my church on this rock and the gates are fell shall not prevail
-
against it. And the pastor is one of those
-
guys who should have a vision to lead the church.
-
So next thing you see here is a plan 2 also failed and
-
afterwards they have a plan 3. Now the plan 3 is in the plan 2.
-
What are the things that did is false accusation.
-
Nieman accounted them with the truth.
-
They attributed a wrong motive to become a king.
-
They attributed to him that is going to revolt against the king
-
of Persia and then he was they were he was they were telling
-
that they were using he was using the false prophets to
-
proclaim he is a king. But in fact, they use those same
-
strategy again another time. We will see very soon.
-
So what is the what is the plan 3 They selected a man called
-
Shimaya. He has a reputation of being a
-
prophet, but this prophet, he must have had a reputation being
-
a prophet, but now he's sold. You know when a house is sold,
-
they put a sticker, sticker sticker house is sold.
-
So this man is a sole prophet. So what did what they did, they
-
paid the money and said you have to prophecy.
-
So he shot himself in the house. He didn't want to move out as if
-
he has got a burden full a vision and he's got a message
-
and a prophecy and he's so burdened he cannot go out of the
-
house. So he called Nehemiah to his
-
house. So Nehemiah goes to the House of
-
Shamaya and he says, hey, they are going to kill you tonight,
-
you are going to be killed. So let us go and hide inside the
-
temple. Where?
-
Inside the temple? Why?
-
If he listens to the advice of the man and goes into the
-
temple, what is going to happen is he is going to disobey the
-
word of God. He's going to deserve the word
-
of God. How he's going to deserve the
-
word of God because he does not belong to the he's not a Levite,
-
he's not a priest, and he is not supposed to go inside the temple
-
of God. Inside the temple of God,
-
anybody is not a priest can only go as far as that altar, bronze
-
altar where you offer the whole bond offerings.
-
You cannot go farther. You can bring your offering
-
there, put it on it, that's it. You can't go further.
-
There was a king called Ujjaya. He dared to offer a strange
-
fire. He took the golden censor, put
-
the fire on it, put the frankincense and everything and
-
went into the presence of God. And leprosy broke out on his
-
face instantly. And the priest said, King, there
-
is leprosy on you. Leave the place now.
-
Rest of his life he had to be separated from his own palace.
-
They had to build a separate house for him to live.
-
And his son ruled in his place. So you don't play with God.
-
Basically, we don't play with God.
-
And this man, he is now being forced to hide inside so that
-
they can say, hey, you are thinking Nema is your leader.
-
Don't believe that guy. He went into the temple.
-
He was afraid, He got afraid because we have forced him to be
-
afraid and he got afraid, got into the temple.
-
Why do you follow him? He has desecrated the temple by
-
going into the temple. He is not allowed to go in.
-
So that is how they said, thinking that he will commit sin
-
and they can take advantage of it and talk negatively about
-
him, to put Him down in the eyes of the people, to challenge his
-
leadership, to challenge his vision, to bring it to nothing,
-
to stop the vision. They were playing that this is a
-
plan #3 they brought it. So what happened?
-
Now the other other motive also is that God by himself might
-
kill him. If he goes disobeys and goes
-
inside the temple, God will be his enemy, just like the
-
Moabites in do entice the the Israelites and Israelis went and
-
offered worship their idols and indulged in sex with the people
-
and God's anger came upon them. Many thousands died.
-
So that's the reason why they thought they can force him to
-
deserve a God, to make God his enemy and to discredit him.
-
But he said, should such a man as I flee, should such a man as
-
I run away for my own life, my life is nothing.
-
I am not afraid to die. Guys.
-
You can't frighten me anymore. So Niema stood up his ground and
-
plan #3 failed. Are we together?
-
You following how Niema has been attacked so that he will not be
-
a good person doing the work of God.
-
Sure, such a man as I run away and then they has they have
-
hired false prophets. Verse 12.
-
What does verse 12 say? But I say, should a man run away
-
or should one like me go into a temple to save his life?
-
I will not go. I realized that God had not sent
-
him, but that he had prophesied against me because Tobiah and
-
Sanbarak had hired him. There's so many things there.
-
Three main points is that he first thing is he discerned that
-
God did not send these people. The the particular prophet.
-
God did not send the prophet. Why?
-
He was telling him to disobey and do something contrary to the
-
will of God. That's already expressed in the
-
Bible book of Numbers or Deuteronomy.
-
No one other than a priest can enter the temple of God.
-
So there he is. When somebody tells you to
-
disobey the word of God, then you start from God.
-
It's very simple. Even a prophecy somewhere I
-
think Jeremiah himself says how do you know a prophecy is from
-
God when it is fulfilled? It is a prophecy from God.
-
And secondly says even if a prophecy is fulfilled, but the
-
the essence of the prophecy says go and worship idols, that
-
prophecy is not right. Whatever prophecy that takes you
-
away from God and his vision is false prophecy.
-
So we need to train our mind with the word of God shedding
-
the word we are train our mind and then the light comes into us
-
and gives us the gift of discerning of the spirits and we
-
will be saved from committing sin against God in all this
-
endeavor. So then what happened?
-
He had prophesied against me because Tobiah and Sanbar had
-
hired him. So you got the enemy, you got
-
the false prophecy, and it involves money.
-
He was hired because he took the money.
-
He's speaking the prophecy. Those three things are there in
-
that verse. Then verse 13, he had been hired
-
to intimidate me so that I would commit a sin by doing this, and
-
then they would give me a bad name to discredit me.
-
The sin is entering the temple of God is a sin, and then they
-
are going to use it to discredit him, to give him a bad name.
-
What a scheme they have come up with.
-
But when a man is committed to the vision and a man is
-
committed to obey God, honor God, do his will, he will not be
-
shaken. He will not be shaken.
-
A man of vision will not be shaken.
-
This I am very, very clear about it.
-
Remember Toby and Sanbarat, Oh my God, because of what they
-
have done. Remember also the prophet,
-
prophetess, no idea. And the rest of the prophets who
-
have been trying to intimidate me.
-
So this is from one prophet. It went a female prophetess and
-
it went down to many other prophets.
-
That means they are buying the rest of the people to team up
-
with them. Is it looking like a 2500 year
-
old story? Are it looking like a modern day
-
church story? So we need to be very, very
-
clear. We need to be very clear.
-
So in summary, in verse 15. So the wall was completed on the
-
25th of Elul in that 52 in 52 days.
-
That's the record time 52 days. And because of the emergency,
-
because of its importance, because of the time that is
-
running out, Nehemiah motivated them, gave them the vision.
-
The vision is transferred from the mind of Neymar to the people
-
of Judah and they rebuild the walls.
-
And it included some of the people who were who were married
-
into the family of Tobiah and Sun Ballot.
-
The A family was involved in rebuilding the walls, but they
-
were married to Sunbharat and Tobiah.
-
So you will see that there is a communication going on between
-
the enemies of Nehemiah and the people who are involved in the
-
building of the wall. You will see it in verses 17.
-
You see there one more thing. What is the outcome of all this
-
work when the walls are built in 52 days?
-
What was the outcome? The enemies of Judah came to
-
know one thing, that this work has been done by the help of
-
God. Everybody said they did it with
-
the help of God, and because it is done with the help of God,
-
fear came on them until now they are attacking.
-
But when the work is done, they said, oh, this is a hand of God,
-
this is the power of God. When Jacob was fleeing from his
-
brother and the brother comes and meets him and other things.
-
And then the their daughter Dina was raped by the mites, and the
-
brothers rose up in the night. They talked nicely with them,
-
you know, made them circumcised. And that night they went and
-
invaded and killed every male. And then when the sons came to
-
the father, he said, what have you done now everybody is going
-
to come together and finishes off.
-
Whole family is going to die. And then Jacob, he set up an
-
altar and offered the sacrifice and the fear of God fell on all
-
the surrounding people. Nobody touched him and he went
-
safely back to his father's house.
-
When we are being attacked the only recourse is to pray and
-
when you pray Gods fear will fall on those who attack you and
-
were trying to work against you and that's the only way you can
-
survive. Pray, pray, pray, pray.
-
Look to God. When you think you are finished,
-
look to God. When you think tomorrow is I may
-
not be alive, look to God and you will see tomorrow and day
-
after tomorrow also because you have looked to God, He will
-
sustain you. So they hired people and all
-
these things. And in verse 17 how it says in
-
those days the nobles of Judah were sending many letters of
-
Tobiah and replies from Tobiah kept coming to them.
-
That is communication going on. And then again in verse 19.
-
Moreover, they kept reporting to me his good deeds and then
-
telling him what I said and to Tobias and let us to intimidate
-
me. They were coming and giving good
-
reports to Nehemiah. Tobiah is a very nice man son
-
Ballot, he's a very nice man. You had to be careful and
-
somebody praises somebody. Why they are praising?
-
You have to ask the question, what is the motivation behind
-
the praising? And they were taking the words
-
of Nehemiah and communicating to Sun Ballot and Tobiah.
-
They are praising Tobiah and Sun Ballot to Nehemiah and taking
-
the words of Nehemiah and telling it to Sun Ballot and
-
Tobiah and Geshem and other people.
-
So the communication is going on.
-
But I tell you, on this rock I will build my church and the
-
gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
-
That's the word of Jesus and we go with that word.
-
We go with the Word and we shall accomplish the vision that He
-
has given and we will see the revival that is going to come
-
into the city today. Don't look at today, 2025 people
-
are sitting there. What is this small people are
-
going to do? How is revival going to come?
-
That's the reason why we had 21 days of prayer.
-
That should not stop with the 21 days.
-
I have not stopped. I have not stopped.
-
You pray every day. Set aside, say God, what is my
-
role? If those people, those who are
-
lifting the rock, putting in the place, they should know why they
-
are doing it. If they don't know why they are
-
doing it, they will not do it. So if you don't know why you are
-
praying, you will not pray. If you don't know what happens
-
when you pray, you will not pray.
-
Prayer is the force that God is going to use to bring the
-
revival. Sometimes it will be very, very
-
simple. It is.
-
I always impressed by Jonathan Edwards.
-
He was a scholar, but he had a visual impairment.
-
He used to wear glasses and the glass used to be so thick.
-
It used to come out like a horn. He has to look through that
-
little glass. It used to come out and he had a
-
candlelight and he has written down his message, sinners in the
-
hands of angry God. And he did not preach with
-
passion. There's no passion, there's
-
nothing. He simply read the message from
-
that piece of paper and the people said we don't want to
-
face the wrath of God. They're holding the pillar in
-
the church. Please fall on us.
-
Because the Holy Presence of God was manifest in the church and
-
the great river broke out. What it needs is being faithful
-
to the Word of God. This Word has the power to
-
change our individual life, our families, church, community, and
-
the nation and the world. This is only hope.
-
We should come back like Billy Graham, take that word, put it
-
on a tree stump or even any, any place and say I will believe
-
this word. I will believe this word.
-
And that is the foundation we need.
-
Just think about, you know, if you walk, if you drive from here
-
to Lincoln, so many fields are there and you will find a lot of
-
trees planted which grow like a wall to break the wind.
-
If just imagine a funny conversation, somebody goes from
-
near my and says, hey, why do you want to be waste so much of
-
your energy and time building the wall.
-
Let's plant these trees. They'll become like a wall.
-
You will laugh at that man. The wall is a wall.
-
You cannot substitute with the trees.
-
So vision is very important for a church.
-
Vision is important, Leader must have the vision and that vision
-
must be caught by the people around him.
-
Then the work gets accomplished. So what is the best thing I
-
would say is when you go back home, I heard this man say so
-
many things, but why am I in Omega?
-
Ask the simple question, Holy Spirit, speak to me.
-
Why am I in the Omega? Do you want to be part of that
-
big revival that God is sending, going to send?
-
Don't look at the 25 people today, 30 people today.
-
Look at the revival that he's going to send.
-
And that will give you that vision, will give you power,
-
motivation to become a man and a woman of prayer.
-
And that is what God is going to accomplish.
-
There's such a silence. Can we show the Hallelujah so
-
when we do the will of God, great fear will come on all
-
because this is done with the help of God.
-
With the help of God we are looking forward for that vision.
-
We are looking forward for that mighty revival that will come
-
into Christchurch, sweep through the churches, carry the people,
-
thousands and thousands turning to Christ.
-
We don't have even 1,000,000 people in Christchurch.
-
Let's pray for that 1 million or 800,000 or 900,000 people in
-
Christchurch. God, every suburb there must be
-
revival. Every street must be filled with
-
the power and every home Holy Spirit must enter.
-
You know in Egypt he entered the house wherever there was number
-
blood and people were dead. Now you say, I put that blood of
-
Jesus on every home. Holy Spirit, enter every home.
-
Convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment.
-
Let the revival come. Let the revival come.
-
That blood when you put up on every home, every home in
-
crushes, Holy Spirit will enter every home and bring the
-
revival. If you believe it, shout
-
Hallelujah. Let's pray.
-
Thank you, Jesus. Sahara Saara Sandrano

-
The Lord says I'm a God who makes streams in the desert.
-
I will lay a road in the desert and I will lead you, says the
-
Lord. Sakthi bandaram mahastaro
-
hoshana mahandasta koroni. We pray to Jesus because it it
-
is who who he who was, who is, who is to come.
-
You are God who fills time, space and history.
-
And we worship you and we invite you now into our own hearts.
-
Right now in our own hearts. We invite the Holy Spirit to
-
come and to magnify the name of Jesus and the bread of Jesus,
-
the power of the bread of Jesus that we may believe.
-
And we may, oh God, hope that this vision that we have for
-
Omega, the end time revival will come to the word of God.
-
And we have committed to pray. And I pray that you stir up
-
everybody that they will allot a certain amount of time every day
-
to pray in your presence, to wait upon you and to know why
-
they are here in this church. Help them know why they are part
-
of Omega. To the glory of your name, I
-
worship you. I praise you Lord, thank you for
-
your word. Let it build the walls of our
-
own heart and our families and the church, the glory of your
-
name. In Jesus name we ask and
-
everybody says Amen, Amen. Thanks for joining us at Omega.
