How many of you are excited to hear a sermon on Nehemiah
Nehemiah 7 chapter mention
-
Chapter 7? Oh, there's one hand up there.
-
I can see some more now. I'm glad there's somebody
-
interested to hear. That's really good.
-
You know, for me, every word is very important.
-
The Word of God is inspired, and there's something that God wants
-
to say from most boring future portions.
-
Also, there will be something that God wants to say, so let us
-
see what He has to say to us from Chapter 7.
-
And yeah, I'm not going to go on all that, every name that's
-
listed there and the tribes and things like that, but some of
-
the things which are very important I want to share with
-
you from Chapter 7. So after the wall had been
-
rebuilt and I had set the doors in place that gatekeepers and
-
the singers and the Levites were appointed, I put in charge of
-
Jerusalem my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah, the
-
commander of the citadel, because he was a man of
-
integrity and feared God more than most men do.
-
Beautiful, very beautiful scripture.
-
Some of you may be thinking what's beautiful about it?
-
What is beautiful about it is that now the walls are rebuilt,
-
gates are set up, work is done in 52 days.
-
Amazing miracle. But now does the work cease
-
afterwards? There's no more work for to do.
-
There's plenty more to do on a daily basis.
-
So here you see Nehemiah doing certain things.
-
What is he doing here is he says he set the doors in place.
-
The gatekeepers and the singers and the Lee Whites were
-
appointed. Who are these three categories
-
of people? Gatekeepers are appointed and
-
you have the singers and Levites.
-
You don't disconnect the safety of the city from the worship of
-
the temple. They both are united.
-
They are 1. You have the walls rebuilt,
-
gates set up, doors set in place.
-
It's not over. You need to keep an eye on who
-
comes in, who goes out. So you need gatekeepers.
-
Now who are these gatekeepers? Probably there are some of them
-
who are gatekeepers of the temple were also used as
-
gatekeepers of the city. Am I communicating here
-
something? Gatekeepers of the temple are
-
appointed as gatekeepers of the city.
-
Do we have gatekeepers in our church?
-
Everybody's a gatekeeper. I'm telling you, you need to
-
keep your eyes wide open to see who is coming in, who is going
-
out, who is coming in, who is going out, because you don't
-
know who is coming in. Somebody may come in with the
-
wrong motives and somebody picks up those wrong motives.
-
It's good to communicate to somebody who is in leadership
-
because not everything can be done by a leader.
-
So there is a necessity for keeping your eyes and your ears
-
open as a gatekeeper. Everybody is a gatekeeper.
-
And then singers and Lee Whites. Now this is very important
-
position. Now if you have, if you have to
-
understand the background of this, you need to look at Second
-
Chronicles. You need to look at where King
-
David has appointed Asaph as the leader of those who will be, who
-
will be leading people in worship and in musical
-
instruments. And Asaph was not only a choir
-
leader, but Asaph was also a prophet because when they were
-
worshipping God and singing, he would also prophecy.
-
Sometimes we expect the prophecy to come out from nothing.
-
You don't want to do sing to God, don't want to pray, just
-
want to do your things. And you expect to become a
-
prophet. What kind of prophecy will come
-
out of a man who is not connected to God?
-
If you are tap into your own soul, soulish prophecies will
-
come out. But if you tap into the Spirit
-
of God, then the real prophecy comes out and singing and
-
worship. See, today John was encouraging
-
people to connect with the heart of God.
-
Say something to him, just like a child says to the Father, I
-
love you. Say something to the Father.
-
You know, that is what we need. Somehow tapping into the heart
-
of God is what is the central thing from which prophecy will
-
flow. Prophecy is not something you
-
think of. I shared with you when we came
-
back from America how God gave me a word about a church they
-
were meeting in a kindergarten. So you will expect that you can
-
easily get away with the prophecy.
-
You will get a land to build a church because they have a need.
-
You can say it, but God did not stop there.
-
He gave me the dream of a lady and I could, I could see be in
-
in that building and I said I am on the 3rd or 4th floor.
-
I see these things on this side and this side on this side and
-
that's my house. I dreamed about it last night.
-
Now the second one confirms the first one.
-
The second word of knowledge confirms the first word of
-
knowledge that they are going to get a land to build a church.
-
So you need to tap into the heart of God.
-
It is not coming out of your brain.
-
Prophecy should not come out of your brain.
-
Think about it and then just say something that will that will
-
fit into the situation. Somebody loses a job and you
-
hear about it and you say, don't worry brother, God is giving you
-
a job from your mind. You can say it, but if you go on
-
your knees and worship God and touch the heart of God and God
-
shows you, yes, I'm opening this door.
-
And then you go and say that word will be prophecy, because
-
it will come with power to fulfill it.
-
Am I communicating here? So you need the singers and the
-
Levites. And they were appointed by
-
Nehemiah. They were appointed by Nehemiah.
-
They were appointed by King David 1st.
-
And later King Solomon carried on with the same kind of
-
classification and he redid the job of his father.
-
And then you see subsequently many kings have failed to
-
continue the tradition. And then you come across
-
Jehoshaphat who ordains these people to go in the battle
-
singing before the the army. So worship is not just a thing
-
that you do when you are in comfortable zone, but worship is
-
something you do even in a situation of a war with an
-
enemy. That is what is going to give
-
you victory. You think you are being defeated
-
by the enemy. Start worshipping God and you
-
may say I am not a good singer. Do like what I do.
-
I put I record the things on my Apple Music thing and I play it
-
there and I sing with it because I am not a good singer.
-
If I sing, you will all run away from here.
-
So I can say boldly that I don't know singing.
-
I am just zero in that part. But can I sing to the Lord?
-
Yes, God will be pleased to hear my voice because He made me and
-
he loves to hear my not so musical voice.
-
He loves to hear it as well. And if you have a good voice you
-
have no reason to say I don't want to sing.
-
Praise God, I never knew that I can preach about my not able to
-
sing also. Its a thing.
-
So I put in charge of Jerusalem. So you have this temple and you
-
have the walls rebuilt and the people who are serving the
-
temple are not just busy with the things of the temple, they
-
are also busy with the security of the place.
-
Now you have to have security. Very important.
-
Security is very important. And if you are aware of the
-
computers and your other things, you know how how cyber security
-
is playing a key role. Basically to keep the enemy out
-
of hacking into your computer, into your details, its very
-
important. If there was ever any time in
-
history that security was most important, it is now, is now.
-
Countries are spying on other countries, hijacking things,
-
companies shutting down electricity, shutting down the
-
banks, shutting down the hospitals.
-
They're doing it from the little thing they have in their house.
-
They sit there and attack. So same way enemy is busy trying
-
to attack the Christian Christians and the church and
-
individuals. He is busy.
-
We are not busy attacking him. We are not busy becoming aware
-
that there's been attack going on.
-
We are not aware. Is there somebody with pain in
-
the right foot right now? Anybody with the pain in the
-
right foot, somebody he's attacking.
-
I know he's attacking somebody. So I bind it right now in the
-
name of Jesus. They will.
-
I bind you in the name of Jesus. You will not touch mice, the
-
children here, no one you will touch.
-
I bind you in the name of Jesus. Cool.
-
Let's go on. And the second thing we hear is
-
now, is there a place for what you call it, family
-
relationships, promoting family? That's not what I want to say
-
here. But basically you see Neymar
-
doing the exactly same thing I put in charge of Jerusalem.
-
My brother Hanani. My brother Hanani, who is this
-
guy? He's the same name you heard in
-
Chapter 1. He brought the news from
-
Jerusalem to Susa saying the walls have been broken down,
-
gates have been burned down, and city has got no security.
-
We are in a great its very insulting to live in Judah, in
-
Jerusalem, because there is no dignity anymore, no protection
-
anymore. And when he heard Nehemiah heard
-
that story, he sat down and he wept for months and prayed.
-
So that Hanani who brought the news, he is putting him as in
-
charge of Jerusalem. Why?
-
He has a heart for Jerusalem, he has a heart to sow, he has a
-
heart for his safety, he has a heart for his prosperity, he has
-
a heart for his to flourish. So how do you find people just
-
because he's name as brother, he's not appointing him there.
-
You have to find whether they have a heart for the ministry.
-
Otherwise we cannot put even the family into the positions.
-
Secondly, you see another man called Hananaya.
-
Hananaya, who is he? He was a commander of the
-
citizen. Where is the citadel?
-
We have seen the map before several times in the in the
-
northern part of it we have it there Citadel.
-
There is a tower of 100 is a tower of another 1-2 towers
-
there and he was in charge of that tower.
-
What does the tower do you when you are in charge of tower?
-
You are there appointing people day and night to see if the
-
enemy is approaching. You will see if the enemy is
-
approaching. And then you blow the trumpet so
-
that everybody knows that there's a danger to the city.
-
And he was in charge of that place.
-
And now that man, does he have a heart for the city of Jerusalem?
-
He has. And what he says is about him.
-
He says because he was a man of integrity, he was not partial.
-
There's no partiality in his heart.
-
He was a man of integrity, honest man, and feared God more
-
than most men do. Fearing God is the number one
-
quality to serve God. If you don't have fear of God
-
and you're serving God, I don't think you're really serving God.
-
You're serving yourself. Fearing God is more than to be
-
coveted than anything else, because fear of God is the
-
beginning of wisdom. Fear of God is the beginning of
-
wisdom. And you need to have that fear.
-
And when you do not have the fear of God, you can do many
-
religious things, but it is of no use.
-
It will be like an offering of Cain, not an offering of Abel.
-
So we need our life to be accepted, service to be
-
accepted. We need to have fear of God.
-
And here you have this two people, Hanani and Hananiah.
-
Some people think that it is just an error is Hanani and
-
Hanani are actually the same person.
-
But when you read there, it says because you're a man of
-
integrity. I said to them, verse three, I
-
said to them, them is plural. So Hanani and Hanaya not the
-
same man. They're two different people.
-
So he said to them in verse 3, what does he say?
-
The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is
-
hot. While the gatekeepers are still
-
on duty, have them shut down the doors and bar them.
-
This is another rule that is important when in times of
-
crisis and in times of peace as well.
-
There is a precaution. People can slip in through the
-
darkness. You remember what was the time
-
and what was the strategy the people had when they wanted to
-
kill Samson in a city. They said we will wait until he
-
goes out in the morning when the doors are open, gates are open.
-
But he did not wait until the morning.
-
In the middle of the night, he went and picked up, pulled up
-
the bars and gate, everything and ran away with it.
-
But they were waiting because once the gates are shut, you
-
cannot go out. You have to wait for the gates
-
to be open and people who want to come in to do business, you
-
have to open the gates for them to come in.
-
So Nehemiah is giving them orders.
-
What is the order here? You have to open when the sun is
-
hot. That means people are wide
-
awake, they are out of their beds, they are doing their
-
things and now is the time to open the gates.
-
Don't open it too early because when it is still dark, you open
-
the gates. People can sneak in and close
-
the gate when it is still daylight, so that you are
-
reducing the possibility of the enemy sneaking in through the
-
gates before your very own eyes. So he says when it is still,
-
when it is hot and before it is dark, you close it.
-
So these are the things. But what?
-
How do you apply this to us in the church today?
-
There has to be application, isn't it?
-
The application today is we need to be doctrinally sound.
-
All the doctrines that we learn about Trinity, inspirational
-
scriptures, justification by faith, sanctification, second
-
coming of Christ, baptism laying on our hands, impartation of the
-
whole gifts of the Holy Spirit. We must have a very good
-
knowledge of all the basic doctrines as in as a church, and
-
that will actually strengthen the walls of the church.
-
And then you need people who has a proper vision to when they
-
look at the people, they should be able to say, oh, I see
-
there's a devil behind that man or this woman.
-
So you need to have that kind of discernment, the gift of
-
designing of the spirits. When we have all this, this is
-
the New Testament pattern and this is the Old Testament.
-
You've got a physical building, a physical city, walls and
-
gates, but when you don't have the same situation, the church,
-
what the church is different body.
-
Now. Its a living Organism and we
-
need to have people who will have the gift of discerning of
-
the spirits and they have to make the right kind of church.
-
Church should have should be able to make a right kind of
-
dishes account to that as being led by the Holy Spirit.
-
So this is a high calling for the church.
-
Its not something you simply go clap your hands, sing songs, sit
-
there, listen to the message, put some money and go home.
-
No, there is more to being a Christian than doing these
-
things. Anybody excited about what I'm
-
saying? Can I hear?
-
Amen. Do you want to grow in the gifts
-
of the Holy Spirit? Do you want to grow in the good
-
doctrines of the Bible? That is how you protect the
-
church. And I'm telling you, it's not
-
something I am. These are the end times.
-
Everybody knows it. In these end times, false
-
prophets will come and false miracle workers will come.
-
They even will make fire come down from heaven.
-
That's what is written in the Book of Revelation.
-
So this is not a time I am not discouraging pursuing miracles.
-
I am not discouraging pursuing prophecy.
-
No, it should be from the Holy Spirit, not from the demonics
-
realm. And when you look into the Cham
-
in media like YouTube and other places, so much of the demonic
-
passing for as if it is from God and some of us have got
-
sometimes it is good to be generous to people, but gift of
-
discerning of spirits is something different.
-
You need to wait upon God. So many times I have prayed for
-
the people who are so well known on the media say God, what is
-
this from you? Can I trust this person?
-
I lost that ability to accept everybody because there are so
-
many of them now deceiving in the name of Jesus.
-
So you need to be very careful, very, very careful.
-
And and that's part of guarding the city, guarding Jerusalem,
-
the church. Then what happens here?
-
Gates have to be shut. OK.
-
Is there anyway mostly identical?
-
Oh, that's OK. Next thing.
-
And also apart residents of Jerusalem as gods, some at their
-
posts and some near their own houses.
-
Now you need people to take turns.
-
It is everybody's job. Protection of city is not just
-
handful of people appointed to take care of it.
-
It's everybody's job. So what is Neymar saying?
-
He's appointed them. Some of them.
-
He appointed residents of Jerusalem.
-
They are living inside Jerusalem.
-
But they also have to take turns to care for wherever this
-
protection needs. Somebody has to do the night
-
shift. They has somebody has take turns
-
for it and then some at their own, at their own residency,
-
their own houses. The houses may be closer to the
-
wall and there is a gate and then you, your house is there.
-
So you go and do your shift. There is a night shift.
-
You know, so many times there was not yet.
-
I mean in Christchurch we didn't have crime rates as it's
-
becoming more and more these days. 23 years ago when we came
-
you don't hear once in a year or twice in a year you'll hear
-
about a stabbing or a murder. But now its just going on and
-
now not even being reported looks like sometimes.
-
So drug cases, shootings and so many things are happening which
-
is just an increase in the crime rate and cars are being stolen
-
in the night in the most decent of the areas.
-
What I'm trying to say here is that the crime is going up.
-
So people are coming together and forming neighborhood, you
-
know, guard duties. They form a committee.
-
They're into small groups. They're going driving in the
-
night to keep looking suspicious cars stop them, talk to them.
-
You know, people are taking security into their own hands.
-
And what are the police doing? That can be a big question mark.
-
But police have their own hands full that that's what they say.
-
They cannot attend to it. Even if you hold somebody,
-
arrest somebody and say your hold, I'm holding him right now,
-
this guy who was walking with a knife will say no, no, no, don't
-
just let him go. They are saying so it's not
-
right. But in Neymar's time, people
-
took security in their own hands.
-
In turns. They are going standing there in
-
the nights and taking care of the city.
-
And we cannot physically translate that into the church.
-
But one of the ways anybody can protect a church is to maintain
-
doctrinal purity. Well, there, there will be
-
differences in doctrines. I am not trying to say there is
-
a uniform way of understanding everything.
-
There will be some. Some things you can say, OK, I
-
accept it or I can leave it and don't have to force the other
-
guy. He had to believe what I
-
believe. No, I don't have to do that.
-
But at the same time some things non negotiable.
-
You disagree on this matter? We cannot have fellowship, that
-
kind of a thing. Cool.
-
Now the city was large and spacious, but there were few
-
people in it. As I told you, it was only the
-
whole you can go around the city walls, 2.4 kilometers roughly.
-
It will take you about 25 minutes to 30 minutes to walk
-
around the city on the walls. It's not a very big area, but
-
very few people who were there. So he had to encourage some
-
people to come and dwell inside the city so that the security
-
will increase. When you have only few people,
-
you cannot ask. Everybody will be have to be
-
doing the shift all through the nights, every day and they get
-
tired. So he was saying, OK, come in.
-
Also, there's a lesson here for the church.
-
There's more room for others to come into the church.
-
Can we say that again, there is more room for others to come
-
into the church? Let's say it again.
-
Yeah, we are actually few now, like the Jerusalem, there is
-
more room. We need people to come in.
-
So when you just keep sharing the vision of Omega with
-
somebody who will, who is interested, and they may say,
-
OK, we want to come in and see what happens here.
-
We are not here to steal sheep. We are here to share the gospel
-
and so that they will believe in the name of Jesus and then we
-
disciple them and that they will be rooted and grounded and bear
-
fruit, much fruit in the glory of God.
-
That's the vision of Omega. So everybody has to do it, not
-
just one person. So we need to do all of us
-
should be sharing the gospel, bringing in people because
-
there's more room in the church to bring people in.
-
Cool. And the houses have not yet been
-
rebuilt. So my God put into my heart to
-
assemble the nobles and the officials and the common people
-
for registration by families. Now this is very important thing
-
for Nehemiah Chapter 7. This is a very important
Nehemiah 7 chapter mention
-
statement. We are reading here what he was
-
trying to say. OK, we have few people here, but
-
the people have come from different parts of Judah.
-
People have been taken as captives.
-
When they return, they go back to their own home, like you are
-
living in, let's say #1 Warden St.
-
You are taken away and you come back.
-
Where will you go #1 Warden St. And see, ah, is my house still
-
there? Is there something that I can
-
recover? Can I rebuild it?
-
So people who came back from Soussa, who came back from
-
Babylon, from the Persian Kingdom, and they had to, they
-
were going back to their own places.
-
That's the reason why we have less people inside Jerusalem.
-
So he said its important that we should register the family.
-
We should make a registry or make registration by families.
-
What he was trying to do here is he wants to have a pure race
-
comeback. Its simply OK tell me who is
-
your father and who is your grandfather?
-
Who is your great grandfather? You have a list of they used to
-
carry the story by orally by mouth most of them.
-
You ask him who are you? He will tell his fathers name
-
and son of so and so father who is son of so and so who is son
-
of so and so son of so and so. They'll go back to the 12 tribes
-
leaders. So he was trying to get that
-
back and make sure there's a pure Israelites coming back.
-
So that's what he did and genealogical record of those who
-
had been the first written. This is what I found written
-
there. So this is he is relying on some
-
other record. What is he saying here?
-
Who had been the first to return?
-
This is what I found written there.
-
So he is looking at some document.
-
Where is the document Ezra chapter 2?
Ezra 2 chapter mention
-
That document is in Ezra chapter 2.
Ezra 2 chapter mention
-
So if you sit have a lot of time, sit with Ezra chapter 2
Ezra 2 chapter mention
-
and Nema Chapter 7 and look and compare.
-
There will be some differences, but those differences are not
-
irreconcilable. They can be reconciled.
-
Like the total number of people that you find in Ezra is certain
-
number and in Neymar it's a certain number.
-
There's a difference of few thousands, but that difference
-
can be explained if you have time to sit down and do.
-
I don't find any great moral value in doing it, so I'm
-
skipping that part. I can do it for you, but it's
-
not so important. So you have all these people
-
come back. You've got a dozen people
-
mentioned there and I was thinking about the dozen names.
-
Why does he use 12 names? Are they referring to the 12
-
tribes of Israel? No, because you don't have 12
-
tribes. Come back to Jerusalem, the
-
northern part, 10 tribes, they are gone and now we don't know
-
where they are. And that's why you have the
-
Samaritans, the Sun Ballot and Tobiah.
-
There are mixed race now from the northern tribes and some of
-
them are the southern tribe as well.
-
So you are looking at a list of people who belong to Judah and
-
he's giving you 12 names of leaders who who are leaders and
-
who you can connect to one of the 12.
-
Its like that. So now after all these things,
-
where do we go? Now these searched for their
-
family records but they could not find them and so they were
-
excluded from the priesthood as unclean.
-
Now this is a very bold statement.
-
Neymar did OK. Some people claim to belong to
-
the priestly family. We are from the priests.
-
Who is your father? Grandfather.
-
Great grandfather. I can tell some things, but some
-
things are missing. I just.
-
I can't prove that I'm 100%. I am from the priestly family.
-
OK. You cannot prove it.
-
You will not eat from the food that is allowed, only for
-
priests to eat. You will stay away until we make
-
sure by consulting Urim and Tamim.
-
What is Urim? Tamim again you have to go back
-
to Aaron the priest. He had on his robe a set of I
-
think 2 stones or a set of 2 stones, 6 + 6, whatever.
-
Urim is one set of stones or one stone, and Thummim is another
-
stone. And when they have to find out
-
something, the will of God is this right or wrong?
-
So some priest will come and ask the question as the high priest
-
is standing wearing these robes and one of them is going to
-
light up, and if that lights up, it is a South and the other one
-
lights up, it is a number. So this is how they used to
-
determine the mind of God, will of God, on every individual
-
matter and every individual matter they used to console Orim
-
and Tamim. If you look back into the story
-
of Saul, when Jonathan went in and attacked the Philistines,
-
they had a great victory. But then he said he made a vow,
-
he took a oath. No one should eat anything until
-
we finish our enemies. But Jonathan, he put his stick
-
and ate some honey and he was refreshed.
-
His eyes became bright and he was able to go in great vigor
-
and go after the Philistines and finish them.
-
Kill the mall. And now that the mattress
-
brought to Saul, your son Jonathan ate some honey.
-
Oh, did he? I told anybody who eats honey
-
will be put to death. So he has to carry the thing
-
forward. So he wanted some more support.
-
So he says, let us now consult the priest, Urim and Tamim.
-
So he says OK if me and my family are at fault speak
-
through Urim, if rest of the Israelis are false speak to
-
Tamil. So the this light comes up, he
-
and his family are guilty. So now he next time he says now
-
speak O God, is it between me and my son?
-
The son was taken up. And then he says tell me what
-
you have done. Oh I ate some of the honey.
-
OK, you will be put to death. A whole Israelite just said no
-
you cannot put him to death. Because of him, we got a
-
victory. Because of him we got victory.
-
We are not going to put him to death.
-
So that day the people rescued Jonathan from being put to
-
death. This is a very glib way of
-
finding God's will, misusing the provision of Urim and Tamim.
-
That's what he did. But when he wanted, when he was
-
in a crisis, when he wanted to go into the war and he wanted to
-
hear God, God, are you going to give me victory there?
-
It says in the book of First Samuel, you see that he says
-
that God did not speak to him through dream.
-
God did not speak to him through a prophecy.
-
God did not speak to him through Urim and Tamim.
-
God says, no, I am not going to speak.
-
You cannot make him speak. But in the New Testament it's
-
different. Can I hear everybody say it?
-
In the New Testament is different.
-
Why is it different? You have the gift of the Holy
-
Spirit dwelling in you. You are in union with the Holy
-
Spirit. And when you get into the habit
-
of hearing His voice on a small matters and then hear His voice
-
on the big matters, it is something you can grow into.
-
There's something you need to invest your time.
-
You cannot always depend on somebody to prophecy to you.
-
It don't depend on somebody prophesying into your life.
-
Why you can hear yourself, everybody can hear the voice of
-
the Holy Spirit. So the last time you see the
-
people make a mistake is in the book of Acts chapter 1 where you
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
see that because Judas was killed already, I mean he
-
committed suicide and out of the 12 you have got only 11
-
disciples. Now Peter says OK, we had to
-
replace according to the Psalm he quotes on the Psalm, we had
-
to replace the one who is missing in our side.
-
So let us cast lots, write the names of they found two people
-
and they both they write their names on two pieces of paper or
-
something and cast lots and it was taken a Matthias came out
-
and he was becoming one of the 12:00.
-
But that is the last time you hear in the church this kind of
-
external means of finding the mind of God.
-
Some Christians, some some people come and tell me, oh, I
-
wanted to know the will of God, should I go to Australia or not?
-
So I made two pieces of paper, Australia and other people, New
-
Zealand and I prayed over it and folded and I picked up with my
-
eyes closed, it came Australia. That's not how God wants to
-
communicate anymore. He doesn't want to communicate
-
to you through lots. He has given you the Holy Spirit
-
to live in you 24 by 724 by 7. He is not going to leave you
-
Monday. He is not going to leave on a
-
Tuesday. He won't be leaving on a Sunday.
-
But we are not despising the gift of prophecy.
-
No, we are encouraging everybody to become a prophet.
-
Everyone of you can prophecy. That's what Paul wrote to them.
-
All of you can prophecy. All of you does all have your
-
name included? You believe that your name is
-
included in that all and set aside time to pray.
-
Pray. I took me 7 years.
-
I'm telling my friend seven years to hear the I used to hear
-
on and off. But I had one encounter with the
-
Holy Spirit. He spoke to me for seven days
-
explaining the scriptures every evening.
-
That changed my life. But you need to have that hunger
-
to hear the voice of God. You may not understand what's
-
going on in your life. Why is this happening?
-
Why is that happening? Why is that happening?
-
Why? Why am I losing money?
-
Why am I becoming sick? Go to God and ask God what is
-
the root cause of all my problems.
-
Wait in His presence, pray in tongues, wait in His presence,
-
Pray in tongues, wait in His presence.
-
If he doesn't speak tomorrow, do the same thing tomorrow and day
-
after until he says the problem is this and puts the finger on
-
the problem. When we don't want to pay the
-
price, we have no solution. When we don't want to pay the
-
price, we have no solution. We need to have the time with
-
God and then bang you, you have these things.
-
At the conference they said, oh all of you pair up and pray for
-
each other. So I pair up with a man and he
-
happened to be a man who has been a fourth generation
-
minister of Four Square, great grandfather who worked with Amy
-
Simple MacPherson. And she said just go to this
-
place and do the ministry. And he went off to Argentina and
-
he started a church there and then his son and his son.
-
And this man is now the 4th generation man is serving in
-
Foursquare. He was born in Argentina,
-
brought up in the US. And he says I'm a Argentinian, I
-
speak Spanish, that's my motherland, that's my first
-
language. English is my second language.
-
You see a Spanish man bound in a white man's body.
-
I said that's inspiring testimony, how somebody's
-
consecration can impact 4 generations and on and on.
-
When you love God, your children will love God and your
-
grandchildren will love God. Some things can go wrong.
-
Don't worry about that every. We cannot take guilt about it,
-
but you bring it to God and say, well, I put that blood on my
-
family now. It's never too late for God to
-
put his finger and change things.
-
So put that family, bring the family before God.
-
As a high priest, as a king, you have the responsibility to hold
-
the family and let that thing begin to work.
-
Now. It's never too late.
-
It's never too late. It's never too late.
-
We need to go back to God and say, I will wait in your
-
presence until you give me an answer.
-
And he, the Holy Spirit who lives in you wants to speak to
-
you. Decision making.
-
Everybody said decision making. I will conclude it very soon.
-
Jesus Christ has to make the decision.
-
Did he? He wanted to select the 12.
-
What did he do? He went away on the mountain
-
top, prayed all night. Was it the only time he prayed?
-
He must have prayed several nights and said, God, who do you
-
father? Tell me, who are you selecting
-
out of this? Children of Israel?
-
Whom are you selecting, father? Brother said take 12 people.
-
Hi, that guy Peter whom you called Rock, take him.
-
He is one of them, and his brother Andrew and all the 12
-
names. And in the morning he comes and
-
calls the disciples and selects 12 out of all the disciples.
-
And he said, I am sending you, sorry, I am calling you
-
apostles. Should we do anything different?
-
Should we have a structure just because we need to have a
-
structure? No, I don't believe so.
-
I personally wait upon God for everybody here.
-
You may think, oh, I just go, sit there and go.
-
I don't think Ramana ever remembers me in his prayer.
-
You are wrong. I am praying for everyone of you
-
and there are times I pray and say God show me what's happening
-
in this family and I may release a word of prophecy here.
-
I will not tell the name. I know that that person if they
-
identify, they will come and send.
-
Many times I missed it. Though I have given the word for
-
the family, they did not respond.
-
They think that's not my problem.
-
If God says that's his problem and people don't come forward,
-
that's not my problem too. My responsibility ends with
-
prayer and waiting in the presence of God for each one of
-
the families. So it's the same thing for
-
everything. We don't make decisions just
-
because I want. I like somebody, take him.
-
I don't like somebody, I don't take him.
-
This is not the way I function. I go to God and say, God, show
-
me are you raise your hand on this person to join me.
-
I think that's how we need to be guided by the Holy Spirit.
-
And He wants to guide. Who wants to guide?
-
Holy Spirit wants to guide. He is interested in your
-
business. He he is interested in your
-
health. He is interested in your
-
finances. He is interested in your
-
children. He is interested in your every
-
kind of unforeseen circumstances.
-
He is interested in it. He wants to give you warning.
-
He wants to protect you. He wants to guide you.
-
He wants to bless you. And I encourage you to connect
-
with the Holy Spirit. If you say, oh, I have not, no,
-
I have never done it like this before, You can do now.
-
Until you hear from the Holy Spirit, you don't get up.
-
That is a determination with which you go on your knees.
-
So many times I go on my knees, I say, Father, I want to hear.
-
I want to hear your voice. I want to hear the voice of the
-
Holy Spirit. I don't want to get up until you
-
hear. I'm waiting there for one hour I
-
don't hear, two hours I don't hear, 3 hours I don't hear.
-
And then I carry the problem into the next day.
-
Do the same thing. Wait, wait, pray, wait, pray,
-
wait. And usually takes three days,
-
not longer than three days. He will speak even before 3 days
-
or even the third day. Many difficult decisions I made.
-
The third day he spoke to me. That's why I'm telling you 3
-
days. Try it.
-
Then you can come and stand here and give your testimony.
-
I am not telling you what doesn't work.
-
I'm telling you something that works.
-
Shall we pray? Thank you Jesus.

-
will begin to hear his voice. Your eyes will begin to see the
-
spiritual realm in the name of Jesus.
-
He paid a great price that you should hear his voice.
-
Why do you want to lose that gift?
-
Why do you want to lose the lose the privilege of hearing his
-
voice? I never heard his voice.
-
I want to do so. Just stand where you are.
-
I am going to pray for you. Thank you Jesus.

-
soul and body, and I disconnect every voice of the enemy.
-
Right now I disconnect the Satan, the thief.
-

-
hearing and seeing in the spiritual realm in the name of
-
Jesus. I bind you, I bind you, I bind

-
Give them grace to wait in your presence.
-
Pray in tongues and become silent to hear your voice and
-
pursue that day after day after day and before they know.
-
Let them hear your voice and see things you have kept in store
-
for them. I bless them in the name of the
-
Father, Son, the Holy Ghost. You are blessed.
-
No one can change it. Jesus mighty name, Amen.
