  10. Kingdom of God is within me. Amen.

  11. Amen. So that's an awesome truth.

  12. I'm telling you the day by day, as I study the word, the more

  13. and more I become aware that the Kingdom, Kingdom of God is

  14. within us. It just, it just grows.

  15. The sense sense grows within us. You know, that Kingdom of God is

  16. within us. So now we are coming to chapter

  17. 13, the end of the book of Nehemiah.

  18. It is a long journey we have done.

  19. Yeah. Feel free to communicate with us

  20. if you enjoyed this study with me.

  21. And yeah, we have camp next week and then the following week we

  22. will start something new, Oregon, a new series of certain

  23. talks. We will look at it and the very

  24. first thing that you see here is again for 1/3 time you see that

  25. they are reading from the book. On that day.

  26. The book of Moses was read aloud in the hearing of the people,

  27. and there it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite

  28. should ever be admitted into the Assembly of God.

  29. Now what, what, what did they read?

  30. They read from Moses. So what portion they must be

  31. reading, it must be from the book of Deuteronomy chapter 23.

    Deuteronomy 23 chapter mention

  32. So in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 23, we see verses 3 to

    Deuteronomy 23 chapter mention

  33. 6, when they were coming out of Egypt, when they were coming

  34. through the land, they came up to the border of Moabites, and

  35. they sent a delegation to the king saying, please allow us to

  36. go through your territory. We will not move out of the way,

  37. we won't swore or we won't go into your fields.

  38. We won't touch anything. Just allow us to pass through.

  39. So it will be quicker for us to go to the promised land which

  40. God has promised us. And they said no, you cannot

  41. pass through our country. They came with their army and

  42. tried to, they entered into a war.

  43. And before that, before that, Balak, King Balak, what he did,

  44. he hired a guy called Balaam who was a prophet, and he said, come

  45. and curse these people for me so that he can win the war.

  46. So these people are all scattered in the wilderness.

  47. And he says, come, take a position on the mountain from

  48. here, look down on them and cast a spell.

  49. And when he came there, God said, no, these people are

  50. blessed, you are not going to curse them.

  51. So he blessed them, and he actually brings lots of oxen

  52. and, you know, animals for sacrifice just to be able to

  53. hear what God wants to say. And then he wanted to put a

  54. curse. But every time we tried, every

  55. time we repulsed, and he ended up blessing the people of God.

  56. How can I curse those who God has blessed?

  57. That's what Bailam says. So because of that God said you

  58. are not they when you enter into a promised land and when you

  59. build that temple for me and a Tabernacle for me.

  60. No Ammonite, no Moabite will ever enter into the temple probe

  61. precincts or the presence of the temple up till 10th generation.

  62. What does this mean? After 10th generation they can

  63. come in. It doesn't mean that just a

  64. Hebrew word saying never ever will they step into the court,

  65. my courts. So because of they so

  66. purposefully with an evil intention to attack the people

  67. of God, they have come out and stopped them and didn't want to

  68. help them and they wanted to curse them.

  69. God said, OK, if that's your attitude when my house is built,

  70. you will never ever enter that place anytime at all.

  71. Does it make sense? You understand what I'm trying

  72. to say here, But you know when I use the word but it means

  73. something different, isn't it? Look at the life of Ruth.

  74. Who was she? Moabite.

  75. Did he bless her? He did.

  76. So our God is a God of mercy. Our God is a good God, but those

  77. who approach him with humility, those who approach him with

  78. purity of heart, whether you are more white, Ammonite, who you

  79. are does not matter. You are black or white, it does

  80. not matter. He will receive you.

  81. That's why you see in the New Testament, he does not.

  82. Whoever comes to him in no why he will cast them out.

  83. No voice. That's King James.

  84. That's what I remember it in. No way He is going to reject you

  85. if you come to Him. That wall of separation is

  86. broken down by Jesus, Jew and Gentile wall is broken down.

  87. Now everybody is open to come into the presence of God and

  88. enjoy fellowship with God. That is a beautiful mystery

  89. which God had made. It gave a revelation to Paul so

  90. he could put it down in writing and preach and teach and bring a

  91. great revival during the time of during his life.

  92. So, so many Gentiles turned to God because the refused, the

  93. Jewish people refused to believe in Jesus.

  94. So he went to the Gentiles and they came in and we are all part

  95. of that big harvest. Is there something we can shout

  96. Hallelujah about so we praise God because they refuse the

  97. gospel. It has come to us.

  98. That's that is how Paul says its a mystery.

  99. Will Israel be lost forever? Romans Chapter 11 he says no

    Romans 11 chapter mention

  100. they are not going to be lost forever.

  101. A time is coming with they are going to be saved.

  102. Their hearts have been hardened so that we may receive the

  103. salvation. So if we all, all the Gentiles

  104. are reached with the gospel, then the turn comes to Jewish

  105. people and when they believe in and then he is going, Lord Jesus

  106. will come back again. And then you see here they did

  107. not meet. Basically they are cousins who

  108. are the Moabites and Ammonites. They are cousins, Abrahams

  109. brothers son Lot and when he was brought out from Sodom and

  110. Gomorrah one of the things the Angel of God tells them is don't

  111. turn back and look you are not supposed to even look back and

  112. Lords wife look back and turn it a pillar of salt.

  113. And then they went into a cave to escape and in that cave as I

  114. were living the two daughters, they said there's no man here

  115. for us to have children. So they made his father drunk

  116. and then they had both of them had a son each and we have got

  117. the Moab and Amon their children have become more abortion

  118. ammonites. So they are basically cousins.

  119. They should have said when they are coming out, hey you are our

  120. brothers come on go through our line.

  121. Instead they came to fight. So God says OK up to 10th

  122. generation you will not enter my temple.

  123. Now what is the problem here is these people don't have a right

  124. to enter the temple. But what is happening here, you

  125. see here is when the people heard this law, sorry, reading

  126. of the law has brought a change. What?

  127. What change it brought when they heard it when when the people

  128. heard this law, they excluded from Israel all who are of

  129. foreign descent. So there is a purification of

  130. the race happening again. They got mixed up before you

  131. understand this. Chapter 13, verses 1 to 3, you

  132. have to look at verse 6 where it says but while all this was

  133. going on, I was not in Jerusalem.

  134. So for a while Nehemiah left Jerusalem and went back to serve

  135. the king. Maybe 2 years, four years, we

  136. don't know, but he went into the 32nd year of King Asuras Artaxis

  137. and because of that's about after 12 years of his coming did

  138. he never went back between the 12 years?

  139. We don't know, but most probably he must have gone back just to

  140. appear to with the king and get extension or come back or

  141. something. But after 12 years, he went back

  142. for a prolonged time to serve the king again and then he took

  143. permission came back. Meanwhile everything went wrong.

  144. Meanwhile everything went wrong. What do what do I mean mean mean

  145. by this is he brought reforms he the law was read several times

  146. every time they read the law they were weeping and repenting

  147. and you know things were happening.

  148. But now they have gone back and did the same things they did not

  149. want to do it again. So they intermarried had foreign

  150. voice in a very short time. So that's what happened.

  151. And then in verse 4 you see before this Elias ship the

  152. priest had been put in charge of the store rooms of the House of

  153. our God. He was closely associated with

  154. Tobiah, and he had provided him with a large room formerly used

  155. to store the grain offerings and incense and temple articles, and

  156. also the types of grain, new vine and oil prescribed for the

  157. Levites, singers and gatekeepers, as well as the

  158. contributions for the priests. Elia Sheep is a priest.

  159. He is a priest who does not know his business.

  160. Its just like saying a pastor of a church doesn't know who is a

  161. pastor who should be how he should live or who doesn't know

  162. what the Bible is talking about. Can they be pastors who don't

  163. know what is in the Bible? Its possible Eliashi belongs to

  164. that category where he being a priest, he did not understand

  165. that the Ammonites and Moabers are not allowed to come inside a

  166. temple. Instead what did he did?

  167. He has allowed a man called Tobaya.

  168. Where is it? Tobaya was four and he gave him

  169. a large room. The temple had fixed number of

  170. rooms. You cannot extend it.

  171. It is is all fixed, the building, everything is fixed.

  172. So now what is happening here is he said Tobiah, he is a

  173. Samaritan. He is, he is not a Jewish person

  174. at all. And they used to have a court

  175. called Gentiles court. This is all the temple, but

  176. there's a small room area there that's called exclusively for

  177. Gentiles. If he ever wanted to come, he

  178. can come only into the court of the Gentiles, not cross that and

  179. come inside at all. But now what did he do?

  180. He gave him a room, a room that is exclusively used for storing

  181. things. The storage room he converted

  182. into his residential quarters. He said to Tobiah, come and live

  183. here. Is that right?

  184. Not at all right. And the Today the church is less

  185. in the same condition. Church is in the same condition.

  186. Sometimes people who don't know what the Bible is talking about

  187. are becoming pastors and people who don't know what the Bible is

  188. talking about are becoming ministers of the gospel and the

  189. gospel gets diluted. You must be saying what is this

  190. man talking about? When we compromise with the

  191. holiness teaching of the holiness, we become an Elias

  192. ship. We do not understand the

  193. holiness concept. It is all about holiness.

  194. The temple has been given so that people can understand that

  195. their God is a holy God and who dwells in them.

  196. Among them is a holy one and they have to be holy because He

  197. is holy. When the teaching of holiness is

  198. compromised by the Church, that church has become like the

  199. temple in the times of Elias ship through one man, sin came

  200. so also through one man, grace abounds much more.

  201. That's what Paul writes in Romans chapter 5, S Eliasi.

    Romans 5 chapter mention

  202. One priest has brought in Tobiah and gave him a storeroom to live

  203. there. He defiled the temple.

  204. He one the temple is defiled. You are defiled in the nation.

  205. So church is supposed to be a repository of truth.

  206. One job given to church is to preach the truth.

  207. And when the church does not do its function, it has lost its

  208. purpose. It has lost its purpose.

  209. So here we see the Tobiah had compromised and then because

  210. this Tobiah had guy, he was opposing the building of the

  211. walls. He publicly has defied or

  212. challenged authority of Nehemiah and he came and insulted him and

  213. he even Tobiah came along with the Samaritan army into

  214. Jerusalem and all the armies there and Tobiah challenging the

  215. Nehemiah. How dare you build the walls?

  216. You think even if Fox jumps on its going to breakdown.

  217. He insulted this guy who has nothing to do name I said we

  218. will build the walls and you will not have a part and that

  219. man is brought inside the temple.

  220. Shame when the church loses his purpose.

  221. Vision is a situation of shame. So because of all these things

  222. that guy comes in. So what does he do?

  223. He is now supporting Elia Shape, the priest and the grain

  224. offering. The ties that come in, they are

  225. being misused. They are not given to Levites

  226. anymore. So the Levites have to go

  227. survive. So they go back to their own

  228. places, begin to go back to their farmland and begin to do

  229. their job. They have to survive.

  230. So they leave the temple, go back to their own property and

  231. start making money by ploughing the land and making the thing.

  232. So the temple gets neglected. You see how the consequences are

  233. all ripple effect. You see the ripple effect here.

  234. One man comes and that man is supporting Elia Shape is

  235. stopping the use of the wine, the new grain and the wine and

  236. the thighs and oil and everything that's supposed to be

  237. given to leave our singers gatekeepers contribution for the

  238. priest. He stopped and everybody is

  239. fleeing now for their own survival and the temple is being

  240. neglected. So in verse 6, you see, but

  241. well, all this was going on. I was not in Jerusalem.

  242. Not only he's not in Jerusalem, you don't even hear the name of

  243. Ezra being mentioned in this chapter.

  244. So Ezra also may not be there. So you need people like Ezra,

  245. you need people like Nehemiah to keep the vision of the temple

  246. going are we are together. So it's the same thing in the

  247. modern church. You need the pastor with a

  248. vision. And if the vision is not with

  249. the pastor, then that church is like a blind man leading another

  250. blind man. So we need people with vision

  251. basically. So in the 32nd year he went back

  252. and now he comes back and he finds everything is in a mess.

  253. So he asked. He asked for permission and came

  254. back to Jerusalem. Here I learned about the evil

  255. thing Elia ship had done in providing Tobiah is called a

  256. evil thing. Everybody say evil thing.

  257. He is very bad. This man not even allowed to

  258. come inside a temple, is now made to dwell in a store room.

  259. An entire big room is given to him to live there.

  260. It's an evil thing. That's what he called.

  261. And if you keep looking for this evil thing, the same word is

  262. used again, in which was 17. I rebuilt the nobles of Judah

  263. and said to them, what is this wicked thing?

  264. You are doing evil thing, wicked thing.

  265. What is the wicked thing? They are intermarrying with

  266. other people, non Jewish people and having children, raising

  267. children. And what is wrong about it?

  268. You may say, but they are supposed to, they are called to

  269. be a holy people. They are not supposed to

  270. intermarry. Why?

  271. If the intermarriage, they are going to lose their faith.

  272. A simple way of looking at the whole problem is when, when,

  273. when, when Nehemiah looked at the situation, when they had

  274. these children through other women, Moabites and Ammonites

  275. and Samaritans, and when they intermarrying, the children were

  276. not able to speak Hebrew. They are speaking their mother

  277. language. What's wrong about it?

  278. There's nothing wrong, basically.

  279. But what is here is if that temple was there for a

  280. particular purpose of promoting holiness, to keep these people

  281. as a light to the Gentiles. Now they are losing that.

  282. They are losing it. So Neymar looks at the children

  283. and say, hey, do you know Hebrew language?

  284. You don't know why you can't speak?

  285. Because my mom doesn't speak. Oh, who is your mom?

  286. Mohabbat Ammonite. OK, everywhere there are so many

  287. people they have. Then we name a calls for and the

  288. purification again, they had to put away the children, put away

  289. the wives. It's a painful process.

  290. Painful process. But I tell you this I already

  291. talked about in the previous sermons.

  292. But I'll tell you again, a Christian has no business to

  293. marry a non Christian. If you're a believer, you never

  294. look at anybody. She can be Miss Canterbury, Miss

  295. New Zealand. You don't have any business.

  296. It's not a Christian, Miss Cuba, Miss America, wherever it is.

  297. You have nothing to do with anybody, however beautiful they

  298. are. Because this is what one of

  299. those things that appears to eyes and makes sense and so many

  300. things. Sometimes people are lured by

  301. intelligence. You know, when a woman looks at

  302. a man who is intelligent or a man looks at a woman who is,

  303. that is their choice. They long to connect with

  304. somebody's intelligent. You need to find out what is

  305. your weakness and then be on God.

  306. That's my advice. What is your weakness?

  307. You have to sit down and think about it.

  308. I get attracted to Dash, Dash, Dash.

  309. OK, be careful in those areas. That's how you God, your heart

  310. and your mind. Cool.

  311. Don't want to say too much about it.

  312. Then you see this thing, you again see it in the end of the

  313. chapter, verse 30. So I purified the priests and

  314. the levers are everything for him.

  315. So they had to disconnect, approved, make them this distant

  316. from everything for him. So evil thing, wicked thing,

  317. something, everything. We need to be careful about that

  318. thing that takes your heart away from God, whatever it is.

  319. Cool. And then you see here in verses.

  320. Yeah. Then when he went, Nehemiah came

  321. back, He heard about Ilya, Shiva, about Tobaya, what he did

  322. straight away. He goes to the temple and I was

  323. greatly displeased and threw all Tobias household goods out of

  324. the room. He goes there physically takes

  325. everything. His bed goes, shelf goes, grain

  326. goes, everything is closed, go outside, everything is thrown

  327. out, out from here. Who does it remind you of?

  328. Jesus when he went to the temple?

  329. It was the religious system. You had to offer sacrifice.

  330. You need to buy a lamb, you need to buy an ox.

  331. The guys were sitting inside the temple with the table there and

  332. you go pay the money and you say, OK, I've tried the sheep

  333. down under the tree. There you go and take it and

  334. offer it and then you want to give money.

  335. They did not want to have anything to the Romans, so they

  336. had money changes because you cannot give Roman commands to

  337. God S they had their own currency.

  338. So there are many money changers sitting there.

  339. So you go to there, exchange the Roman currency for the Jewish

  340. currency so you can put the money into the temple of God.

  341. Jesus came and made a whip with a cord and he draw out the money

  342. changes. Those who are selling pigeons,

  343. why selling pigeons is a big deal?

  344. Pigeon is the lowest offering you can make for your sin is a

  345. pigeon cheapest thing that you can afford is a pigeon.

  346. If you have no money to buy a sheep or an ox and you want to

  347. offer a pigeon. They were selling pigeons in the

  348. temple. They were selling the pigeons

  349. and he drove them away and said my house is a is supposed to be

  350. called a House of prayer. But you have made a den of

  351. thieves. So you look at Nehemiah's life.

  352. You will be reminded of Jesus. And I tell you, when people look

  353. at you, they must be reminded of who Jesus.

  354. That is how you have to live. Sometimes people may not like

  355. what you say and do. It doesn't matter.

  356. Does Jesus like what you are doing?

  357. That is all counts. Is he going to say, well done,

  358. my faithful servant, that's all counts.

  359. Cool. So he came, he cleansed the

  360. temple and then purified the rooms, purified the rooms.

  361. So he must have taken a sacrifice animal, the blood of

  362. the animal and then mixed with water and sprinkling it all over

  363. the room and sanctified the room and then brought back the things

  364. that supposed to be in that room.

  365. The tithes offerings, grain offering, wine offering whatever

  366. needs to be given to the Levi, seeing as gate give us.

  367. They are all brought back and restored.

  368. And then because people fled from the temple for their own

  369. livelihood. Now he says by tells them come

  370. back guys, I will take care of you.

  371. So the levers again come back and come move to Jerusalem and

  372. they will be given portion from these things.

  373. So the temple system is restored again.

  374. And then what happened because of this guy Eliashim who

  375. compromised brought Tobiah, he learned that the portions

  376. assigned to the levers had not been given.

  377. Sorry, I'm repeating myself. So he asked the question, why is

  378. Hausa got neglected? And now he's restoring that

  379. neglect. He's restoring it.

  380. So the people lost confidence in the religious system.

  381. They stopped giving tithes. Nehemiah comes back and restores

  382. the confidence, so they will begin to tithe again.

  383. You see there it was 12 all. You would have brought the

  384. tithes of grain, new wine and oil into the storerooms.

  385. You need a system to run it. So Nehemiah says, OK, let's put

  386. a system here. And the system here is he put

  387. Shalamaya the priest, Jeddak the scribe and a Levite named Pedaya

  388. in charge of the store rooms and made Hanan, son of Zakur the son

  389. of Matanaya, their assistant because these men were

  390. considered trustworthy and they were made responsible for

  391. distributing the supplies to their brothers.

  392. So you need people of integrity all the time.

  393. We need people of integrity. And when you have the people of

  394. integrity, then the money part is taken care.

  395. You know, one of the things I learned about when I read the

  396. biography of Billy Graham, long time ago, long time ago, I say

  397. maybe more than 30 years ago, I read about Billy Graham.

  398. And when I heard when I read the biography, one thing that

  399. impressed me most is he never put his hand on the tithes and

  400. offerings in in the big crusades.

  401. He never said how much money you got.

  402. Oh, we have here 5 million. OK, let me take 2 million from

  403. he never did that. He had a system.

  404. The system is there was a Billy Graham eventually association,

  405. they have members there, board was there and they would decide

  406. how much to give him, how much to give him.

  407. And he never said oh, because of Maine so much of money is coming

  408. so I need a greater portion. No, they decide how much to give

  409. him and that is all he took. But it kept increasing over the

  410. years. At one point it was only about

  411. 35 or 55,000 or something U.S. dollars.

  412. That was moderate at that time. So why am I sharing these things

  413. with you? This is a principle we need to

  414. understand. We need to have principles for

  415. our own life. And one of those things I

  416. learned from Billy Graham was that, and I praise God for his

  417. life because if I didn't read that biography, maybe I would

  418. not have learned the truth. Here is this temple and you have

  419. these people who are going to organize and distribute it

  420. according to their needs. And the temple will continue to

  421. function as it has to function because the finances are

  422. managed. Management of finances is an

  423. important aspect of the church. Many places, you know, Jesus

  424. said very clearly, you cannot serve 2 masters at the same

  425. time. You can't serve God and Mammon.

  426. You cannot serve God and money. And many people are serving God

  427. and money. And when you see that happen,

  428. you should know that something is wrong.

  429. It's very, very clear. They can do many mighty science

  430. and wonders and miracles. They can prophecy, but their

  431. hands are not clean. When it comes to money,

  432. something is wrong. A tree is known by its fruit.

  433. A tree is known by its fruit. OK, we have time.

  434. That is good. Now in verse 14 he says Remember

  435. Me. Oh, let me go back a little bit

  436. and finish that part. So in the New Testament you have

  437. this concept of holiness. This temple was external

  438. representation where the presence of God was inside the

  439. temple. Shakayana glory was in the holy

  440. of holies. But now.

  441. When Jesus walked on earth. John 114 says He Tabernacle

  442. among us. He became the temple of God, a

  443. living temple, walking temple. But that picture is transferred

  444. from being a building to a person to a church.

  445. Now you are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  446. You are the Temple of the Holy Holy.

  447. Spirit. That's why we had read 1 Corus

  448. 619, what the temple stood for in the Old Testament.

  449. Now the believer stands for in the New Testament, and he

  450. becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit.

  451. Don't you know that? Your bodies are a temple of the

  452. Holy Spirit whom you have from God, and you don't belong to

  453. yourself because you are bought with high price.

  454. Jesus paid the high price so that God the Father can send the

  455. Holy Spirit to dwell in you and you are the temple.

  456. Take time to meditate, let's say three times a day.

  457. You have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  458. Think of breakfast before you eat.

  459. This body is tempted of the Holy Spirit.

  460. God put the Holy Spirit in this body and Jesus paid the price.

  461. I thank you, Lord, I eat your flesh, I drink your blood by

  462. faith. Let your glory dwell in me.

  463. Let your life and your Spirit fill me.

  464. Do that lunch, do it for dinner and you have afternoon snack, do

  465. it again. A morning snack, do it again.

  466. Why? We need to remind ourselves that

  467. we are the temple of God and very important aspect of it.

  468. When you are convinced about it, when you think about it, you

  469. believe it and you close down. We go in the corner of your

  470. room. Kneel down there and shut your

  471. mind and say, God, this part of the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  472. Thank you Holy Spirit for dwelling in me.

  473. Now speak to me from inside. Speak to me from inside.

  474. Let me hear your voice. Let my inside eyes, the

  475. spiritual man's eyes, be opened. But I may see what you want me

  476. to see, that I may hear what you want me to hear.

  477. Shut your mind from everything external.

  478. Shut yourself in the corner and you will hear his voice.

  479. This is very important. Many.

  480. People want you know there's a. Joke about everything instant.

  481. This age is a instant age. So long time ago I heard a joke

  482. about it. Seema is the one who told me the

  483. joke. A Chinese guy, he goes into a

  484. supermarket and he looks at. Coffee.

  485. Just pour water, you drink coffee.

  486. Wow, that's an excellent product, he said.

  487. And then he looked at something. Else you want just milk, add hot

  488. water, you got powder, you add water, you got milk.

  489. So he looked at so many instant stuff your noodles, they open

  490. the back, pour water, wait for two minutes, eat your noodles.

  491. And he looked at a baby powder. Supposed to be for.

  492. Milk powder of a baby but he mistook that it is for creating

  493. babies. Pour water.

  494. You have a baby here. This.

  495. Instant generation. We want holiness.

  496. We want prophecy. We want healing.

  497. We want caution. Your demons just pour water.

  498. You have it. No, it's not like that.

  499. Many things in life. Can be instant, but none of

  500. these things I talked about are instant.

  501. You will have to be on your knees praying and praying and

  502. praying until God invades your spirit.

  503. Even though the salvation is free, walking in the miraculous,

  504. walking and getting answers to prayer, moving in healing,

  505. moving in deliverance. They are not instant.

  506. It takes time and. Effort.

  507. It takes time. You have you must have a heart

  508. for a hungry heart for God's glory.

  509. Yourself has to be crucified and those things are not instant.

  510. You don't die instantly. Maybe you will if you pour hot

  511. water on yourself, boiling water, you will die, but not

  512. your old nature, but not your old nature.

  513. That's the reason why we need to be very careful to preserve this

  514. temple. You are responsible to preserve

  515. this temple and many of us are neglecting the temple is very

  516. quick. A leadership is there to call

  517. Tobiah. And I tell you, we have.

  518. Many alias ships in our lives to bring the devil through the door

  519. into yourself. You don't need a window to open.

  520. A window is enough for a devil. To come in, but alias ship opens

  521. the door. We had to identify alias.

  522. Ship in our life the one who opens the door to the devil to

  523. come inside. We have to be very careful.

  524. There is so much. To talk about in this chapter I

  525. tell you I was meditating and thinking about.

  526. I said my God is it possible to do in one hour all these things?

  527. But there is so much to talk about.

  528. And in verse 14 he says Remember Me for this Oh my God, and do

  529. not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the House of

  530. my God and its services. He is saying Remember Me and you

  531. see this word remember at least you 7 times in the whole of the

  532. book, Chapter 5671 once each time and nearly four times in

  533. this chapter 13 remember. What?

  534. Why is he saying? Remember.

  535. Because. He has only one concern.

  536. He came and lived here for nearly 12 years, rebuild the

  537. walls in 52 days, restored the temple services and everything

  538. was gloriously going. He stopped the Sabbath, he

  539. stopped the foreign marriages. Everything is cleansed.

  540. Everything has been set, set in place.

  541. Walls have been dedicated, people have worshipped God,

  542. praise God, offerings were sacrifices made.

  543. Everything was going beautiful. And he said let me go back to

  544. the king. And he went for a few months or

  545. years, couple of years and he comes back.

  546. Everything that he has done is. Everything he worked for.

  547. Dream for day and night he worked for is all obliterated

  548. because of 1 Elias ship and one Tobiah.

  549. You need the church to go down, you don't need many people.

  550. One Tobiah is enough, one Elias ship is enough who can ruin the

  551. whole thing. So we need to be very careful

  552. how we build the ministry and the church is very important.

  553. So Remember Me for this, Oh my God, and do not blot out what I

  554. have so faithfully done for the House of my God.

  555. What I have done is gone already, but Please remember it

  556. may not happen again. Please remember.

  557. So it will not happen. Again, I want this temple to

  558. stay pure and holy as long as it is required for you to do it.

  559. And was this prayer answered? Yeah.

  560. Those walls he built? They lasted for another 600

  561. years until they are destroyed in AD 70.

  562. For five to 600 years, they stood.

  563. So when? You faithfully.

  564. Pray and do the work. That work will last.

  565. That work will last. So the temple is what we are

  566. responsible for and we must take care of it.

  567. Jesus, cleanse. Cleanse the temple with a whip

  568. and draw out the money changes. And when it comes to reward,

  569. Nehemiah said Remember Me and reward me.

  570. Reward is not for myself. Let this temple remain forever.

  571. He is not asking for his own name to be remembered forever or

  572. give him a reward. No, but in the New Testament

  573. your reward is yours. God looks at your life and

  574. rewards you when you fast. Don't let people know that you

  575. are fasting. Keep all unkempt hair and long

  576. face, dirty face. Don't wash it.

  577. No shower for two days so people can look at it.

  578. Say hey you have no time for shower, why your hair is not

  579. done? I am fasting.

  580. Do you know I am fasting? You have no reward what you

  581. wanted. You got it.

  582. You. Wanted somebody to compliment

  583. you? Got it.

  584. But when you fast in secret, the Father who sees you fasting in

  585. secret will reward you when you. Pray in the closet.

  586. God who looks at you, praying in the closet, will reward you.

  587. And there's a judgment that is coming.

  588. And that's in the book of Corinthians.

  589. It says chapter 3, verse 13. His workmanship will be evident

  590. because the day will bring it to light.

  591. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the

  592. quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives,

  593. he will receive a reward. Whatever you do in your life is

  594. going to go through fire. It is burnt up, it is gone.

  595. If you survive the fire, you get a reward.

  596. So we are not, we are not playing.

  597. With a guard who will look this side and look that side but not

  598. look at your life. No, he looks at your life.

  599. Your life counts for him and is counting on you and he wants to

  600. reward you. But we have to live a life

  601. that's pleasing to him. That will come through the fire

  602. and then he says in second. Corinthians chapter. 5 Verse 10

  603. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so

  604. that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in

  605. the body, whether good or evil. Whether you do good or do evil,

  606. you are going to be rewarded for that.

  607. We cannot escape the reward. They may have prayed for it.

  608. You don't pray also. You will get it.

  609. Now you do. Wrong.

  610. You get the reward for it. Cool.

  611. And then what happened in? 15 to 22 Neglect of Sabbath

  612. Verses 15 to 22 talks about neglect of Sabbath.

  613. When he came back, all business was going on.

  614. On Sabbath. The people from Tyre brought

  615. their fish to sell in Jerusalem. I said I was scratching my head.

  616. How far is Tyre from Jerusalem or I did some search.

  617. It's more than 300 kilometers. In more than 300 kilometers.

  618. Are they selling fresh fish in those days?

  619. No, it must be dry fish. I don't like dry fish.

  620. Some people may love it, but when I was growing up, you know,

  621. I was born in a vegetarian family and grew up vegetarian

  622. and later on I became learn to eat chicken and you know, it

  623. took me many years to practice eating the non vegetarian food.

  624. But in the street, anybody did cook the dry fish, the whole

  625. everybody. Will know that you are going to

  626. have. Dry fish for your lunch or

  627. afternoon dinner or whatever. And when I was in New Zealand,

  628. when I was working in a factory, we used to have lunchtime and

  629. these people from certain country, they would bring the

  630. dry fish and put it in the microwave.

  631. And you cannot put your foot back in the microwave because it

  632. is going to smell dry fish. Oh, it was.

  633. Just nobody like those. People, they had to tell them

  634. please don't bring dry fish. So what's wrong we?

  635. Love the food, they said. But you know, that's one of

  636. those things we need to be little sensitive about when we

  637. assert our right because it will disturb somebody else.

  638. Anyway. So the fish was brought from all

  639. the way from Tyre and sold in the in Jerusalem.

  640. And the people would go out and buy on the Sabbath.

  641. And then lots of things were brought, produce from

  642. surrounding Jerusalem. They were bringing and driving

  643. into the city and selling and name.

  644. I looked and say what's happening here?

  645. I have set. Up a system.

  646. That you will, you will not open the gates until the sun rises

  647. and it will be shut before the sun sets until the Sabbath is

  648. over. Next day morning, you don't open

  649. the gates. But what's happening here?

  650. So he had to redo the whole thing.

  651. And this time what he did was he took some Lee whites because

  652. they are responsible for knowing the law, teaching the law, and

  653. obeying the law. So he took some of the Levites

  654. and he said, you will God the gates.

  655. So that the effect of. Maintaining Sabbath will remain

  656. longer period with these people, so we always.

  657. Need people who are. Honest.

  658. We always need people who know the law.

  659. We always want people who are hungry to obey God and honour

  660. God. And when you have this handful

  661. of people, the effect will reach masses because of the handful of

  662. people. Today we are only handful.

  663. The task is to reach the whole city of Christchurch and the

  664. Selvin District with the Gospel of Christ.

  665. We need more people who are like Lee whites sold out to the Word

  666. of God. Study it, read it, study it,

  667. meet it on it, and obey it and teach it.

  668. That's the order we need. And then only revival.

  669. Comes you are saying? God send a revival, send a

  670. revival and God says, OK, show me 10 people who are praying in

  671. your church. Do you have 10 people who are

  672. praying every day for one hour at least?

  673. And somebody when I mentioned the word one hour, they jump up

  674. and say, hey, where does it say in in the Bible you have to pray

  675. for one hour? I tell you this that.

  676. Question itself is the wrong question unless we are sold out

  677. to God. Not one hour.

  678. You should be willing to pray for two hours. 3 hours?

  679. Oh, I have a job. To do I have a family to take?

  680. Care kids, how am I going to pray?

  681. That's your job. You have to find time.

  682. I'm not harsh. I'm not trying to be harsh at

  683. all. If God comes first, you will

  684. find time to pray. He has to come first.

  685. I am trying to pray. Alone so many times, I pray.

  686. Last night actually I was surprised when I opened my eyes

  687. it was 4:30 in the morning. I said oh I need some sleep and

  688. went back to bed. And I asked God, God, how am I

  689. going to do? Alone God said, get 10 people

  690. who will pray, 10 people who will pray one hour a day, and

  691. when we will begin to see more people come through the doors in

  692. the church. The question is I can ask the

  693. question. Now don't have to raise your

  694. hand right now we feel free. You raise your hand.

  695. Do you want to commit yourself to pray one hour a day, anytime

  696. that suits you? I see 2345.

  697. I need more 5 people. I don't have to tell you, you

  698. say. I will be free.

  699. My kids go to bed at 7:30. From 8:00 to 9:00 in the night,

  700. I'm going to pray. Oh, I'm busy all the time, but I

  701. can get up at 5:00 in the morning and pray for one hours,

  702. 5 to 6. It is up to you.

  703. You want a revival? We need people who want to pray,

  704. who are committed to pray. The revival will come.

  705. Nobody can stop it. It is.

  706. Not one person. There are times when God.

  707. Honors one person and does it, but its always a bunch of

  708. people, sometimes one. Person makes a difference, there

  709. I was. Reading the biography of Charles

  710. Finney and When Charles. Finney used to go into a.

  711. Town, there used to be big revival, people used to be

  712. falling. Even if he is walking on the

  713. street, people working in the field, they will fall down on

  714. their knees and say God have mercy on me, forgive me, come

  715. into my heart. There is no preaching happening.

  716. But the secret of Finney's success is another car, another

  717. man called Father Nash. Father Nash.

  718. If there is going to. Be a revival meeting in

  719. Christchurch, he would fly, or he will travel to Christchurch,

  720. rent a motel or a hotel or a room, or rent a house Oregon a

  721. room. And for a month he would be

  722. fasting and praying so that when this young man comes to the

  723. city, the revival will break out.

  724. There's one man, one man, Father Nash Does people, do people.

  725. Hear the name of. National, No, but do people hear

  726. the name of Charles Finney and the revival?

  727. Yes. Sometimes we have to take the

  728. role of not being recognized by people and be willing to pray.

  729. Be willing to pray. You may not be receiving honor

  730. from the people, but God will give you the honor it.

  731. Is flashy to stand and preach, but.

  732. It is not so flashy to kneel down and pray.

  733. It's flashy to preach one hour once.

  734. A week to pray, one hour a day, every day is not so flashy.

  735. If we desire the reward from God, we are going to pray.

  736. We are going to pray. So you see all these things

  737. again in neglect of Sabbath. He restored the Sabbath and then

  738. until the Sabbath. Is over the gates would not.

  739. Open, that's how he made sure, and quickly.

  740. I'll try to finish it. The people would come.

  741. Even though gates are closed, they would be very close to the

  742. gate. They have their donkeys, they

  743. have the waste. They want to sell the produce

  744. they want to sell. They were there so that whenever

  745. people wanted by night, they can sneak in outside of the wall and

  746. somehow buy the things. One day Nehemiah goes on the

  747. Sabbath day evening. You guys, you will not come even

  748. here to demonstrate. He must have gone, picked

  749. somebody by his throat and lifted him up.

  750. His stop coming. Otherwise I'm going to put my

  751. hands on you. That's it.

  752. They stop coming. Sometimes some things have

  753. written ruthlessly and that is when this is again whenever

  754. personal purity When it comes to personal purity, Jesus said many

  755. things you when you have to. When you look at a woman with a

  756. lustful eye, you already have committed adultery in your

  757. heart. And if your right hand.

  758. Is the one that is offending you.

  759. Chop it off if it is your eye. That is offending.

  760. You gauge it or remove it. What is he trying to say?

  761. Does he want everyone to go blind and become lame?

  762. No hand, no leg. That's not his purpose.

  763. What is he trying to say? Be Ruth.

  764. Deal ruthlessly with sin. Don't tolerate it.

  765. I don't like it. Your body is a temple of the

  766. Holy Ghost, and you need to be holy because I am holy.

  767. And if your eye is offending, remove it.

  768. If your hand is offending it, remove it.

  769. I want you to become holy. There's no other way you can

  770. please pleasing God in your life except by living a holy life

  771. life. The more and more I think about

  772. it, the more. And more.

  773. I get convicted and studying the word is not a comfortable

  774. exercise. I'm telling you, I sit in.

  775. My chair. I'm studying the word.

  776. But inside my heart it just the sword goes, cuts it.

  777. Oh God, how am I going to do this?

  778. How am I going to do this? How am I going to do this?

  779. How, how, how? And that drives you to go on

  780. your knees and say, God, with your help, I can do it.

  781. Will you please give me the help so?

  782. In. Verse 22 he says Remember Me for

  783. this also Oh my God and show mercy to me according to your

  784. great love. Now we don't go that back into

  785. that again in verses 23 to 31 mixed marriages.

  786. Some he went and pulled their hair.

  787. You we have agreed that we are not going to marry fire foreign

  788. women. Did you sign here?

  789. Did they make did they make a agreement not to marry foreign

  790. women in the previous chapter? They did.

  791. They signed. All their leaders.

  792. Came and they signed every sign. We agree, we agree, we agree.

  793. And now they got foreign wives and they have got children as

  794. well. At least more than two years if

  795. they have children and if they are not talking not Hebrew,

  796. there must be at least four years before name I came back.

  797. And he pulled their. Hair.

  798. You priest, you live white, you have signed here and now you got

  799. your foreign wife and you got foreign kids and your son has

  800. got my foreign wife. Your daughter got a foreign

  801. husband. He pulled their hair.

  802. Don't talk about it. We can't do anything of that

  803. sort in these days. But again there is a principle

  804. we can learn is deal ruthlessly when it comes to compromise, we

  805. should not compromise. Some things we do and sometimes

  806. we experience the consequences in our life.

  807. Long time ago we have made a mistake and now we go through

  808. it. But God can change.

  809. We had to go to Him, this power in the bread of Christ.

  810. What is the situation you want to change?

  811. Put that blood on the beginning. 25 years ago.

  812. We make a mistake, put that blood on it and say, Lord, right

  813. now I'm suffering consequences. I put that blood on this person.

  814. I put this blood on the situation.

  815. I want you to change it and the blood of Jesus will speak for

  816. you and the situation will change.

  817. This is nothing else that can deliver you.

  818. From your past, except the bread of Christ.

  819. I was listening to a guy who was a ex satanist.

  820. And he said there was a lady who was being oppressed by some evil

  821. spirits, and she did many things, but nothing was coming

  822. to setting her free. And one one day she began to

  823. confess the blood of Christ. God, I cancel every covenant I

  824. made with the devil, I put the bread of my spirit solar body.

  825. I cancelled every covenant, put the bread of the covenant and

  826. the demons had to run from her and she was set free.

  827. He said that demons cannot resist the bread of Christ.

  828. Put that blood until you are. Free.

  829. Put that blood, Lord. I confess the blood of grace on

  830. my spiritual and body. I confess the blood of grace on

  831. my covenant I made with the enemy in the name of Jesus.

  832. Let me go free now. You, David, I kick you out now.

  833. I have nothing in common with you.

  834. I belong to Jesus. This body is the temple of the

  835. Holy Ghost. I have no part with you.

  836. I kick you out now in the name of Jesus.

  837. I don't think the devil will be there anymore if you fight like

  838. that. Cool.

  839. So you see in the rest of the verses many other things, but

  840. there was a guy I should talk about this one right before I

  841. close one of the sons of Joy, the son of Elia Shiv the high

  842. priest was son-in-law to sun ballot the horror night and I

  843. drove him away from me, meaning away from Jerusalem.

  844. He went and married enemies daughter became a son-in-law to

  845. enemy son Ballot who was trying to stop the building of the

  846. walls of Jerusalem and this guy goes and marries the daughter.

  847. When he came back you know you got married out now from here he

  848. drove him out. So sometimes we need.

  849. Some this is all. We need is not about

  850. intolerance. Please don't misunderstand me.

  851. I am not encouraging intolerance.

  852. I am encouraging purification. I am encouraging holiness.

  853. I am encouraging resisting compromise with the devil, with

  854. the world and with the lust of the flesh.

  855. Lust of the is pride of life. No compromise with them, no

  856. compromise with them. And then only our situation will

  857. change. No compromise.

  858. So verse 30. So I purified the priests and

  859. the Levites of everything foreign.

  860. And assigned them duties, each to his own task.

  861. I also made provision for contributions of good at

  862. designated times for the first fruits and for the and for the

  863. first fruits. Basically restored the whole

  864. system. Restored the whole system and

  865. the book of Neymar. Doesn't end there.

  866. Book. Of Neymar doesn't end there.

  867. Purification, compromise. Again, purification is the

  868. process the church will be going through.

  869. Anytime we see compromise, anytime we see sin trying to

  870. rule, the church is a place for repentance, confession,

  871. repentance, walking away from it, resisting it, fighting in

  872. the in the Spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  873. And that will never cease. I do not know how to count how

  874. many times I must have failed God.

  875. But every time I failed God. The process is very simple.

  876. I had to repent. I had to confess it.

  877. I had to repent and ask God to wash me in His blood and to

  878. disconnect me from it in the name of Jesus.

  879. And that will continue until either He appears or I go to

  880. Him. And that is the path of

  881. holiness. We cannot keep living in sin.

  882. Shall we bow our heads in prayer?

  883. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord.

  884. Thank you, Lord, you are so good.

  885. We praise you because you are so full of mercy and love.

  886. And we thank you for the life of Nehemiah and the story of

  887. rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem during his time, how

  888. the temple was restored, how the life was restored.

  889. We praise you for the story of reformation that has come

  890. through preaching of the Word and obedience to the Word and

  891. practice of the Word in the name of Jesus.

  892. I pray, Father, that you will give us grace to deal ruthlessly

  893. with sin. Help us to chop off the hand

  894. that offends and remove the eye that offends.

  895. And I pray, Father, that you will give us the grace not to

  896. tolerate what you have defeated. You have defeated Satan.

  897. You have defeated sin. Help us not to tolerate in our

  898. life anymore. We resist, not tolerate in the

  899. name of Jesus. And I pray for your mercy and

  900. your grace. Let the power of the Holy Ghost

  901. fall upon our children right now, listening to your word.

  902. Let the glory of God enter them again in a fresh way.

  903. Let, O my Father, glory of the God is the Holy Spirit.

  904. And I invite the Holy Spirit to come, and I light up on the

  905. children. Enter them, my God, and let

  906. their bodies become temple of the Holy Ghost.

  907. And you dwell in them your You bought them with your blood.

  908. And we thank you, Father God, for your Son Jesus and the Holy

  909. Spirit. This is all your wisdom.

  910. You have planned it even before you laid the foundation of the

  911. world. And we praise you, we praise

  912. you, We praise you for your mercy and your grace that

  913. triumphs and rules and it shines better than your judgment and

  914. your wrath, which will not be compromised.

  915. You will show it at the right time.

  916. But right now we thank you for your mercy and your grace, which

  917. is a reigning supreme. You are a goddess enthroned on

  918. the seat of mercy, and we worship you.

  919. And when it is still a time for us, to when it's still there is

  920. time for us, help us to repent and confess it and renounce it

  921. and be washed in the blood and be set free to the glory of your

  922. name. Bless your children.

  923. Again in Jesus name I. Ask and everybody says Amen.

  924. Amen. Thanks for joining us at Omega
