  9. Hallelujah. That's it.

  10. Very good. So we are continuing your study

  11. from the book of Galatians chapter 2.

    Galatians 2 chapter mention

  12. We finished until was 10 last week.

  13. We will continue from 11 onwards.

  14. Now this is a very important scripture portion and we have

  15. seen how Paul was very passionate to preserve the

  16. gospel, the truth of the gospel, and didn't want to compromise.

  17. But here we see sometimes leaders also make mistake.

  18. Can leaders make mistake? Yes.

  19. So here is a leader, Peter the Apostle, and he is visiting

  20. these people at Antioch. So when Peter came to Antioch, I

  21. oppose him to his face because he was clearly in the wrong.

  22. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the

  23. Gentiles, but when they arrived he began to draw back and

  24. separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid

  25. of those who belong to the circumcision group.

  26. So what is happening here is that Peter has come to visit the

  27. people of Antioch, the church at Antioch, and he is now, he's

  28. there for some time. So every day he would mingle

  29. with everybody, Jews and Gentiles, and eat with them, sit

  30. with them, have fellowship, talk, preach, everything is

  31. going normal. Suddenly what happened is a

  32. certain group of people, they came from Jerusalem to Antioch,

  33. and they said that they belong to the Apostle James or

  34. followers of Apostle James. But is it possible that Apostle

  35. James would have done it? Would he have said go and check

  36. on Peter whether he is eating with Gentiles or not?

  37. I don't think so. Because in Acts chapter 15 we

    Acts 15 chapter mention

  38. have, we have done this study before acts #15 James was the

  39. one who gave a final verdict about what Gentiles should do,

  40. that they should abstain from meat offered to idols and they

  41. should not eat strangled animals with blood, avoid the blood and

  42. avoid fornication. So that these are the only few

  43. things he put on the Gentiles. Now what is the problem here?

  44. Does it say they cannot eat food with Gentiles in that agreement?

  45. No. So some people saw a loophole in

  46. the direction and they came and they acted as if James sent

  47. them. But when they came and started

  48. influencing Peter, Peter got afraid, you know, and then he

  49. withdrew, withdrew from the Gentiles.

  50. He started eating separate. Like today everybody is sitting

  51. and eating and suddenly you see Peter gets away from here and

  52. sits separately and eats because he doesn't want to eat the

  53. Gentiles. So Paul saw it and then came and

  54. confronted Peter, confronted Peter, say you are wrong.

  55. Now, if he did not do, what would happen?

  56. If Paul did not confront Peter, what would happen?

  57. The gospel will be compromised, the truth will be compromised.

  58. That's the reason why Paul had to confront him.

  59. So the problem with Peter is not a new problem, is it a new

  60. problem? No, this is his nature.

  61. He has been like that before he became a an apostle.

  62. He has been from the building like that.

  63. I would say he would just be like a pendulum.

  64. He will be on one end one day and next within one second he

  65. will go swing to the other end. Let's look at some of the

  66. instances where Peter had changed, let's say when he was

  67. talking. I mean Jesus asked, who do you

  68. say I am? You are the Son of the living

  69. God. And Jesus said flesh and blood

  70. has not revealed this to you. Flesh and blood has not

  71. revealed. This is from the revelation from

  72. my Father. And then after some time he says

  73. when Jesus is talking about, he says Son of Man will be betrayed

  74. into the hands of the Gentiles. They are going to crucify him.

  75. They are going to kill him. He takes him from the crowd and

  76. says, takes him aside and says this will not happen to you.

  77. No, no, no, it's not going to happen to you.

  78. Then Jesus looks at him and said, get behind me, Satan.

  79. Get behind me Satan, because one moment he is receiving

  80. revelation from the Father that Jesus is the Son of the living

  81. God, and the next moment says you will not face the cross,

  82. which is against the will of the Father.

  83. So sometimes we can have some kinds is not always possible,

  84. but sometimes leaders can disappoint.

  85. And here is an example of Peter swinging from one end to the

  86. other revelation that is from the Father to being influenced

  87. by the devil 100%. So from being influenced by the

  88. Holy Spirit is going to the other extreme of being

  89. influenced by the devil. And then he is also a man who we

  90. are not trying to put some mud on Peter to make him look very,

  91. very bad. No, that's not our purpose.

  92. The purpose here is that we all have some of the Peters

  93. characteristics. One day we are up spiritually,

  94. another day we are down spiritually.

  95. Today we are winning over our struggles and next day we are

  96. being losing the defeat. We are losing our battle to the

  97. devil and losing it. I prayed for a man 343 days ago

  98. and he was struggling with an issue and I prayed for him to be

  99. delivered and only this morning I wake up to see the phone and

  100. he says I fell in my sin again. So I knew that the prayer that I

  101. prayed is not 100% effective in the sense he is not fully set

  102. free. So when I go home I'm going to

  103. tell him hey we need to pray again.

  104. Its not, it's not yet over. The battle is not yet over.

  105. So the point I'm trying to make is there will be this kind of a

  106. up and down in Christian life, but we need to learn to walk

  107. with God in a steady way. It has to be a straight line,

  108. not a wave, up and down wave, so that we have to learn.

  109. So some people think it is automatic.

  110. You should just believe in Jesus.

  111. Everything is going to disable. All your problems will be gone,

  112. your temptations will be gone. You become a St. overnight.

  113. It doesn't happen because we have the same soul still.

  114. The day before your conversion, the soul you have is the same

  115. soul you have. The after conversion.

  116. That soul needs to be submitted. That soul needs to be

  117. surrendered to Jesus. It has to be crucified and we

  118. have to train the soul, we have to train the body.

  119. The flesh is the same. The day before he was born again

  120. is the same body you have after the day you are born again.

  121. So that flesh which was doing things is going to continue to

  122. want to do the same things. And you have to tell the flesh,

  123. no, you are dead, you cannot do the same things.

  124. So what? What am I trying to say?

  125. There is a place for dedication, there's a place for resisting,

  126. there's a place for changing your habits.

  127. Habit. It doesn't become.

  128. You don't get a habit in a day, do you?

  129. You had to do it repeatedly. Even the most alcoholic person

  130. who talked to him the very first time you tasted alcohol, what

  131. was it like? Ah, it wasn't so nice.

  132. Then why did you become alcoholic?

  133. Because I kept drinking and drinking until it became nice to

  134. me. It's just like that.

  135. Most of the sins are like that. You first time you commit, you,

  136. you're, you have a conscience. You feel guilty about it.

  137. You don't want to do it, you want to stop it.

  138. But again, a second time you do. A third time we do, the

  139. conscience is dead. It will not tell you anything

  140. anymore now. And you are free to do the same

  141. thing any number of times. We kill our conscience when we

  142. keep doing the very things our consciousness not to do.

  143. So that is how it is. Now look at this man.

  144. He is now going back in the in the boat and in the middle of

  145. the night they were rowing against the wind and it was very

  146. difficult. And Jesus is going passing by,

  147. walking on the sea and they thought he is a ghost.

  148. They cry out and Jesus says no, I am the same.

  149. I am not a ghost, I am Jesus. If you are Jesus, ask me to walk

  150. on the water and come to you. OK, come.

  151. He is the only disciple who had the courage to walk on water.

  152. Were there not other disciples? Did they say we want to walk as

  153. you are walking? So there's good thing about

  154. Peter. We must have that characteristic

  155. of Peter where we want to try and walk on water and to take up

  156. the challenge. Only problem is he looked at the

  157. wind and the waves. They did not stop, but he was

  158. able to walk on the same water. The same wind, same waves did

  159. not stop him from walking, but when he looked at them, he began

  160. to sink. Your problems can be there, but

  161. you don't look at the problem. Don't focus on the problems.

  162. If you want to walk on water, don't focus on your problems.

  163. That's very simple. You focus on the problem.

  164. You are not going to walk on water.

  165. So that is how it is. And this man 1 moment is walking

  166. on water, another moment is sinking.

  167. Jesus saved me and Jesus reached out into his hand, picked him up

  168. and pulled him up and brought him to the boat again.

  169. So one time it is something like that and justice before in the

  170. Garden of Gethsemane, and when the people came to arrest Jesus,

  171. he was impulsive, took out the sword that he had, and I cut off

  172. the ear of the high priest servant, chop one second, the

  173. ear is gone, is on the ground. And Jesus had to tell him, put

  174. that sword back in the sheath, and then he took the ear and put

  175. the man's ear and healed it. Even the last moment.

  176. Jesus is the one who wants to heal.

  177. He wants to heal and do miracles not because anything.

  178. That is His nature. He is God and He cannot be any

  179. other way. He was 100% man, 100% God and He

  180. was wanting to do naturally what He would do.

  181. Even though He is not going to be arrested, He will do the same

  182. thing and He will do the same thing today.

  183. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

  184. So he was an impulsive guy, foot washing just before, you know,

  185. you see that in the scripture, before he was betrayed, before

  186. he was, I mean, arrested. He wanted to tell the people

  187. that his disciples some valuable lesson.

  188. So he made them sit around and he tied a towel around his waist

  189. and he took a basin of water, came to each one and wash their

  190. feet and dried with the cloth and then goes to the next and

  191. the next. And he comes to Peter.

  192. Peter says no, no, no, you cannot wash my feet, Jesus.

  193. And if I don't wash your feet, then you have no part in me.

  194. OK, Is that so? Give me a bath now.

  195. So one second he's here, another second he's here.

  196. So today what you are seeing Peters behavior is he does not

  197. mean he was not a man of God. He was a man of God.

  198. And you see in Acts chapter 5 when he is walking on the

    Acts 5 chapter mention

  199. streets, people laid the sick on the roadside so that the shadow

  200. of Peter may fall upon them, so that some of them will be

  201. healed. Everybody on whom the shadow

  202. fell was healed. He is the man who was full of

  203. the power of God. But when he look at the man, as

  204. he looked at the waves, he looked at the men who came from

  205. Jerusalem claiming to be men from James.

  206. And he was afraid. He was afraid, influenced by

  207. people. So he withdrew from fellowship

  208. with Gentiles and started eating separately.

  209. And Paul looked at the whole situation and said, Hey, Peter,

  210. is Peter senior to Paul? Yeah.

  211. He's been apostle from the beginning.

  212. He was with Jesus for 3 1/2 years.

  213. And did he deny him? Yeah.

  214. I don't know him. Oh, you guys, what you're

  215. saying? I don't know at all.

  216. I don't know him. I don't know him.

  217. I don't know him. He denied him three times.

  218. And when when Jesus was there being questioned by the thing

  219. and when he was denying, he looked at Peter through the

  220. crowd. And Peter knew what Jesus meant

  221. and he went out and he was convicted of his sin.

  222. He cried, he cried, he cried, and then he was restored.

  223. And even before that, Jesus himself says you are going to

  224. deny me. You are going to tell me 3

  225. times. And afterwards when you are

  226. restored, take care of the sheep.

  227. That means there was a comfort even in the last minute.

  228. Jesus says that's not your end, you deny me is not the end of

  229. your life. You disappointed me is not the

  230. end of your life. You have failed me is not the

  231. end of your life. And today God is telling

  232. somebody here, your failure is not final.

  233. Your failure is not final. He wants to give you a life in

  234. the Spirit, walking in the Spirit victorious over sin and

  235. Satan is not end is not the end. So this this Peter, he when he

  236. walked, he shouted fell on the people.

  237. It healed in chapter 5. And now when you come back to

  238. chapter whatever, maybe after chapter a few more chapter 10

  239. chapters here or 11 chapters, he is now withdrawing from the

  240. crowd. I don't think he's really

  241. actually written in Acts. It's only here in Galatians

  242. about this instance and here Paul had to confront him.

  243. Paul is much younger in age and much younger in his walk with

  244. the Lord and in being an apostle.

  245. Peter was senior to Paul, but it he did not stop Paul from

  246. confronting a senior servant of God, an apostle For us.

  247. Sometimes we say if there's a senior pastor and assistant

  248. pastor, assistant pastor will not dare to go and tell the

  249. senior pastor, Sir, you are wrong.

  250. It is very hard. If he, if he says that, he will

  251. say OK, out of the door. So many churches are like that

  252. happening. But we must have humility to

  253. receive correction. We must have humility to receive

  254. correction, which Peter had. Peter had the humility.

  255. He repented of it. He didn't repeat it.

  256. But you know what great lessons with great cost did not stop

  257. this man from fluctuating. Why in Acts chapter 10, when he

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  258. wanted to, when he was before he went into Cornelius house, what

  259. happened? He had a vision when he was

  260. waiting in the Tanners house, Simon, the Tanners house, he had

  261. a vision. And in the vision he saw heaven

  262. open and the sheet laid down and there were so many kinds of

  263. animals and unclean animals in it, snakes and all kinds of

  264. unclean animals. And he heard a voice saying,

  265. Peter, raw rice, get up, kill and eat because he was hungry at

  266. that time and the food was cooking downstairs.

  267. He was upstairs and the smell must be wafted into the air and

  268. increase his hunger. And he fell into a trance and he

  269. heard the voice saying, arise, kill and eat.

  270. And what did Peter say? Lord, nothing unclean has

  271. entered this mouth. And then God says don't call

  272. unclean what God has called clean.

  273. And this happened how many times?

  274. Three times the sheet came down. He hears the voice, He says, I

  275. cannot eat it. I never eaten anything unclean.

  276. And God says don't call unclean what God has called clean.

  277. So after this such powerful lesson, maybe after another six

  278. months or two years, less than two years, he is travelling from

  279. Jerusalem to Antioch, only to separate himself by looking at

  280. some people, few people, not a big crowd, not the whole church,

  281. just some men from James. He looks at them and he was

  282. afraid and started withdrawing from the rest of the believers,

  283. was eating separately. Until then he was eating every

  284. day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, he was eating with everybody.

  285. But when he saw the men, he withdrew and Paul had to

  286. confront him. So he before certain men came

  287. from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles.

  288. He used to eat is that's what the NIV says.

  289. And when you look into the Greek imp imperfect tense, it means it

  290. was happening all the time. It's just every day was

  291. happening. It was every day happening.

  292. He was eating with everybody, sitting on, eating with

  293. everybody. And then it changed.

  294. So the problem, what is the problem with sin, what is the

  295. problem with any kind of a mistake is it spreads to other

  296. people. It has got a what effect is that

  297. cascading effect? So there is somebody with him,

  298. Barnabas, who was actually a companion of Paul and who was

  299. who took leadership in bringing power from obscurity, from being

  300. unknown, to bring him to the church and to make him a

  301. powerful tool in the church. And Burnabus himself was carried

  302. away into the same mistake and he started joining Peter.

  303. And when this happened, Paul lost it and he went straight to

  304. Peter and said, Peter, you are wrong in this matter.

  305. You are wrong. So we need the kind of those

  306. kind of people and the other Jews join him in his hypocrisy

  307. so that by the hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

  308. That is what caused Paul more grief.

  309. He was not worried about Peter himself, but he was more worried

  310. that even Barnabas was joining him.

  311. And tomorrow the whole church will become the same thing.

  312. And the very purpose for which God chose Paul, the very purpose

  313. for which he chose the apostles and to take the gospel to the

  314. whole world is going to go into the rubbish bin by that kind of

  315. behavior is going to be canned forever.

  316. That's the reason why Paul had to stand up for the truth.

  317. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of

  318. the gospel, in line with the truth of the gospel.

  319. So this is how we have to train our mind.

  320. You don't need everything written there.

  321. Don't eat pork, don't eat this, don't eat that.

  322. You don't need a full, full list of the don'ts.

  323. Don't don't. You don't need it.

  324. You need to understand the gospel in such a way that when

  325. you say something, is it in line with the gospel or is out of

  326. line with the gospel, and that is how you train your mind.

  327. So some people say, oh, where is it written?

  328. You should not drink. Don't worry about where is

  329. written. Is it going to help you to be

  330. holy? Will it help you to be a

  331. prophet? Will help you to raise the rate,

  332. will help you to heal somebody? I tell you, whoever is

  333. compromising never walks in miracles.

  334. No, that is a proof that that thing is not right.

  335. You, you want to know how something is right or wrong.

  336. You will know by its effect upon you.

  337. You will know what it is stopping you from doing.

  338. If it is stopping you from becoming like Jesus, that is a

  339. sin to you. You don't need somebody write

  340. something here. If it is stopping you from

  341. becoming like Jesus, that is a sin to you.

  342. That is very simple. So I said to Peter in front of

  343. the mall, You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and are not

  344. like a Jew. How is it then that you force

  345. Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

  346. Now this is law versus grace. You have the laws, 10

  347. commandments. You are not able to follow it.

  348. You are failing it every day. And when you are failing from

  349. doing what the law is commanding, you are living like

  350. a Gentile. So you are a Jew living like a

  351. Gentile. Then why do you force Gentiles

  352. live like Jews, which you yourself are not able to walk?

  353. Many times when you speak against somebody's behavior,

  354. somebody what they have done is wrong and you do the same thing,

  355. you are condemning yourself. You don't need a judge with a

  356. gavel, bang, bang, bang, you're done wrong.

  357. You don't need anybody to say it.

  358. You do what you disapprove in somebody, the same moment we are

  359. condemning ourselves. That's how it works.

  360. So what we see here is very interesting thing I found here

  361. is let's say Paul is confronting Peter, But what is said about

  362. Paul when you see particularly I'll read from you, from

  363. Corinthians, Yeah, comparing Paul and Peter,

  364. what we can learn. Paul says I was becoming a Jew

  365. to a Jew so that I can win some Jews.

  366. I became a like the one like a somebody under a law.

  367. I became like one who is under the law to win those who are

  368. under the law. And to those who are without the

  369. law, I became like 1 without the law so that I can win them too.

  370. So how is Paul compromising things different from Peter not

  371. eating with the Gentiles? They are two different things.

  372. Two different things Paul is doing for a purpose.

  373. He's adapting. He's adapting so that the gospel

  374. will have more impact, whereas Peters choice of not eating with

  375. the Gentiles is actually having a negative effect of

  376. discouraging people from believing in the gospel.

  377. Authenticity of the gospel is watered down by his withdrawing

  378. from the people. So he is adapting for further in

  379. the gospel and Peter is doing something to bring down the

  380. effect of the gospel. That's why Paul is right and

  381. Peter is wrong. Are we together here?

  382. Compromise is wrong where it distorts the gospel or creates

  383. division. The difference lies in motive,

  384. love versus fear. Paul loved the people, so he was

  385. going out of his way to show them that he is with them and

  386. helping them to encourage to believe in Jesus.

  387. Whereas Peter is acting out of fear, not out of love.

  388. So this is one of those things, when you are doing something,

  389. check in your heart, is it fear that's making you do or is it

  390. love that's making you do? If you love somebody, then you

  391. are going to do mostly the right thing.

  392. But if it's a fear that is making you do something, then

  393. you are going to do something that is wrong.

  394. So that's why we need to check ourselves.

  395. Now, sometimes this whole, this is a very important thing I'm

  396. going to talk about is that how do we solve in the generation?

  397. How do we live with the authentic Christian life?

  398. How do we live? I bring before you an example of

  399. a missionary called Hudson Taylor.

  400. Anybody heard his name? Hudson Taylor was a missionary

  401. to China. So when he went to China, what

  402. he did was that he adapted their clothes.

  403. He adapted their hairstyle. You know, they shave off in the

  404. front and then they have this long hair and they braid the

  405. hair in the in the back and to wear their clothes and eat with

  406. chopsticks and not live in a luxurious home, but a home like

  407. any other Chinese would live. Many of the many of the

  408. missionaries, they will have a missionary bungalow, a big

  409. palace, a big mansion with many rooms and luxurious lifestyle.

  410. It will be inside, it will be America or UK and outside they

  411. are living with poor people. That's how you see many

  412. missionaries happening. But when Hudson Teller went to

  413. China, he said, no, I want to be like them.

  414. So he would shave off his friend and put the would take the hair

  415. to the back and long hair and braid it and wear those long

  416. clothes and eat with chopsticks. Live in a simple, simple home

  417. and learn Chinese and different dialects.

  418. There's not one language there in the each region has a

  419. different language. And he would learn different

  420. languages and would preach in Chinese, write in Chinese.

  421. When you do that, you are transforming the gospel into a

  422. friendly gospel, a gospel that they can receive without

  423. suspicion, without fear, without rejection.

  424. That is how we have to give flesh to the gospel.

  425. You become transformed in a way that the people to whom you are

  426. going, they will say this man, he loves me, this man he loves

  427. us and he has a authentic message because you are living

  428. the gospel before them. So that is how it has to be.

  429. Cultural identification has to be done.

  430. Language has to be changed. The heart language has to become

  431. the local language and then lifestyle simplicity.

  432. He lived in Chinese style housing and when people wanted

  433. to come as missionary to China, he would tell them, hey, you

  434. want to be a white man here when you come from London and be a

  435. missionary, I don't want you here.

  436. You must be willing to adopt the same lifestyle like I do.

  437. So they have to go through this training where they have to

  438. learn to eat with chopsticks instead of the fork and the

  439. knife and they have to wear those clothes.

  440. They have to live in simple housing.

  441. It is a rigorous training and no wonder he had a huge mass of

  442. missionaries. I think I am from my memory, I

  443. think at least 400 missionaries were there who went into all

  444. four corners of every corner of China to impact with the gospel.

  445. So today you have underground church, but the foundation was

  446. laid by Hudson Taylor. Today the church is going

  447. through tribulation and is still surviving because somebody laid

  448. a strong foundation, unshakable foundation.

  449. So we need to be very, very clear about the power of the

  450. gospel, its impact, its scope, its its depth, its grander, its

  451. glory. I tell you, many Christians

  452. don't know the glory of the gospel.

  453. We don't know. We should not be ashamed to

  454. confess, say I didn't know there many years, even though I was

  455. preaching from the Word, I didn't understand the glory of

  456. the gospel. It is the power of God to say

  457. everybody, everyone, and we need to know the depth and power of

  458. the gospel. Only then you, when you speak

  459. the authentic gospel will flow out of your lips because it has

  460. to be in the heart first. How glorious is the gospel?

  461. How powerful is the gospel? We don't know it.

  462. Then you will go and say tap on somebody's shoulder.

  463. I want to tell you about Jesus for spiritual laws.

  464. I'm not talking against for spiritual laws.

  465. It has changed many people. It saved many people brought to

  466. the Kingdom. It brought many people to the

  467. Kingdom. But the point I'm trying to make

  468. is it has to go from inside your heart and go out of your mouth.

  469. And the person who listens to the gospel will know that this

  470. is the truth, the living truth of the living God.

  471. And it will come like a revelation to him.

  472. It will come like a powerful revelation to him.

  473. And that is how it is. It will make an impact upon the

  474. person who is listening. Some of us are Christians for

  475. 1020 years without knowing the power of the Gospel.

  476. We don't know how power, how much power is in the bread of

  477. Jesus. We don't know how much power in

  478. the in the the stripes that he has went through.

  479. We don't know how much power is in the cross on which he died.

  480. We don't know it. It is time for us to have a

  481. fresh look at the cross, a fresh look at the direction of Jesus,

  482. a fresh look at the power of the world.

  483. We who are Jews by birth and not gentle sinners.

  484. He is not trying to put down Gentiles as sinners down.

  485. No, it was a usual Jewish language.

  486. They are called Gentiles who are non Jew as a Sinner because they

  487. did not have the law of God. They did not have the 10

  488. commandments. That is the reason why Jews call

  489. Gentiles as sinners. But he says we who are Jews by

  490. birth and not gentle sinners, know that a man is not justified

  491. by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

  492. Hallelujah. You are not saved by obeying the

  493. commandments. You are saved by faith in Jesus

  494. Christ. Only Jesus plus nothing.

  495. Jesus plus nothing, no more of circumcision, no more of doing

  496. this. The tabernacles festival of

  497. tabernacles are Passover. He is ultimate Passover down in

  498. dusted its all over. We have to believe in that

  499. Jesus, the historical Jesus who did everything required by the

  500. law and he has completed the law.

  501. He has satisfied everything He said, Sanam, and came not about

  502. His law, but to fulfill every dot and iota, because in the

  503. language of Hebrews, in the Hebrew language, a dot can

  504. change the whole way. You say something, so you say

  505. remove a dot, you will say you have to say differently.

  506. You got a dash. You say something and the dash

  507. is not there. You say something else.

  508. So He came even the invisible things to emphasize the

  509. invisible things to emphasize everything.

  510. That is what is funny about Hebrew language is there are no

  511. vowels in it. You only have consonants, the

  512. words. How do you learn?

  513. Only by hearing. It is much later.

  514. The Masorets, when they came and they translated the Bible, they

  515. are the ones who put how to say it and developed a system.

  516. You put a dot, it is he. You put this one, it is AO.

  517. You don't know otherwise. But Jesus says I came to fulfill

  518. every part of the law, and he did it.

  519. He did it. Paul, who knew Hebrew and Greek

  520. and Aramaic, he knew what Jesus meant when he says he I came to

  521. fulfill the law. He knows it.

  522. The breadth of it, the depth of it, the power of it.

  523. He knew it. So here we see again in verse

  524. 16, know that a man is not justified by observing the law,

  525. but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in

  526. Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ,

  527. not by observing the law, because by observing the law no

  528. one will be justified. No one is going to be justified

  529. by observing the law. That's the reason why Jesus came

  530. and fulfilled the law for you and me, so that we may receive

  531. the righteousness that comes by faith, by believing in Him as if

  532. you have followed the law, as if you have followed the law, as

  533. you obeyed the law all your life, whatever righteousness you

  534. are going to get, He is giving you the moment you believe in

  535. Jesus justification by faith. He is one of those doctrines of

  536. reformation and that is the one that has split the church from

  537. Catholic domination. You have the Protestants

  538. justification by faith. Type it in your Google and ask

  539. what is justification by faith. You will have all that doctrine

  540. of it. Study it, read it.

  541. It is it is important tenet or basic faith statement that we

  542. all believe and many churches are stopped talking about it.

  543. When do they have time to talk about justification by faith?

  544. I don't think many churches have a time to talk about it.

  545. I tell you is a very basic doctrine on which your faith

  546. leaves, stands or false. It's as powerful.

  547. It is not just only giving you a clean slate.

  548. It's easy to say all your past is gone when you believe in

  549. Jesus. What's next?

  550. Where do I stand? You are given the righteousness

  551. of Jesus so that the moment even the thief on the cross, they

  552. said Remember Me in your Kingdom.

  553. When he died, he said you will be with me in paradise today.

  554. The same second. He did not have time to fight

  555. temptations and sanctification and all this kind of process,

  556. but the moment on the cross he said Remember Me in your

  557. Kingdom. Jesus said you will be with me

  558. in paradise today. It is as powerful.

  559. The word of Jesus is powerful. What he said to the thief, he is

  560. telling to everybody, I am not waiting for you to do this,

  561. this, this, this. I give you my righteousness

  562. because you believe in what I have done for you and you are

  563. ready to receive a reward that is due to a righteous living.

  564. When you believe in Jesus and go to the Father, he says well done

  565. my son, well done my daughter. I want to reward you for the

  566. righteousness that you received from my son and give you the

  567. reward for it. The practical implication of

  568. doing or obeying the law, doing the things that are demanded by

  569. law, or our volitional willful actions.

  570. Because we believe we don't do those things because we are

  571. going to be saved, because we are saved, we are going to do

  572. those things. We cannot divorce the right

  573. living and the right confession. You cannot divorce them.

  574. Both go together and we cannot. We cannot separate it.

  575. The truth of the Gospel 1500 years under the Law of Moses has

  576. not changed the people to obey the law.

  577. And the Jews are living like Gentiles, those who don't have

  578. the law. So was 1516 justification by

  579. faith and not by works. Jews have to put their faith in

  580. Jesus and are not justified by observing the law.

  581. They have to believe in Jesus. Every Jew has to believe in

  582. Jesus and every gentle has to believe in Jesus.

  583. There's no other way. There's no other way any man can

  584. be saved. So what I'm trying to encourage

  585. today is let us look at our, let us look into our own heart and

  586. see when and how we failed God and tell yourself that is not

  587. the end of my life. That is not my destiny.

  588. I must have failed God, but that's not the end of my life.

  589. I want to surrender to Jesus. I want to my I want to renew my

  590. mind with the word of God. I want my soul to be transformed

  591. by the impact of the world because I love Jesus, because I

  592. worship him, because I obey him. And as you do it, you will be

  593. transformed to the likeness of Jesus.

  594. Shall we pray, Father, in the name of Jesus?

  595. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord.

  596. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord.

  597. Like Peter himself, oh, Godfather has been your son, but

  598. he wavered so much, but yet you made him a pillar in the church

  599. and you made him over. You gave him the keys of heaven.

  600. We praise you Jesus. And you said, I will build my

  601. church upon this rock, and the gates of shall not prevail

  602. against it. We thank you, Father.

  603. You are not depending on a weak vessel, but you are depending

  604. upon a rock. By your power, by the power of

  605. the Holy Ghost, you are going to make him a rock and build your

  606. church. So I pray, take us all with our

  607. weaknesses, make us like a rock as you turn Peter who is a Reed,

  608. Simon, a Reed into a rock. Peter, I pray same way.

  609. Turn us in from inside out and make us strong and build your

  610. church. And we thank you, for the gates

  611. of us shall not prevail against it.

  612. We worship, we honor you, we praise you Jesus.

  613. Now you want to say, yeah, I want to surrender my life to

  614. Jesus. Just quickly stand where you

  615. are. And I want to pray for you that

  616. the Lord will have mercy and touch you right now and remove

  617. those faltering heart and put a steady heart in that place, that

  618. he will remove the heart of flesh, heart of stone, and give

  619. you a heart of flesh in the name of Jesus.

  620. Surrender, surrender, surrender. The Lord says, like Moses, he

  621. gave the law to set people free, but they were enslaved by it.

  622. But I give you life, says the Lord this morning.

  623. He wants to give you life. Take it, take it, take it, take

  624. it, take it. He is giving you life.

  625. Take it, take it, take it, take it, take it, take it now.

  626. Holy Ghost, fall upon the children now.

  627. Refresh them now in the name of Jesus.

  628. Refresh them now in the name of Jesus.

  629. Refresh them now in the name of Jesus.

  630. Thank you, Lord, bless your children this morning.

  631. Jesus name, we ask? Amen.
