  1. Shall we shout Hallelujah, a stronger one?

  2. Amen. That's good.

  3. So we come to the last part of chapter 2 of Galatians.

  4. The last week I did talk about was 16, but I haven't done a

  5. full justice, so I thought I should do rerun was 16 and then

  6. go into the rest of the chapter. So what do we say in verse 16,

  7. Verse 16? It says know that a man is not

  8. justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

  9. So we too have put our faith in Christ Christ Jesus, that we may

  10. be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law,

  11. because by observing the law. No one will be justified.

  12. What is interesting here is the word justified is used for the

  13. first time in this epistle to Galatians.

  14. And if Paul wrote the first epistle is the Galatians is the

  15. first epistle Paul wrote. He is introducing a powerful

  16. concept of justification by faith to the Galatians, which he

  17. not only explains to the Galatians, but he further, I

  18. mean further expands it when he wrote the epistle to the Romans,

  19. the justification by faith. It just takes a couple of

  20. chapters, I think in Romans chapter 3, chapter 4, and then

    Romans 3 chapter mention

  21. goes on to the benefits of justification in chapter 5 and

  22. then explains the union with Christ, our identity with Christ

  23. in chapter 6-7 and eight. So it's just amazing book.

  24. And I tell you, everybody should have in your mind an outline of

  25. what is Romans teaching, the teaching in the book of Romans.

  26. It should be in your mind and important verses, important

  27. concepts, how he's progressing. It should be imprinted on your

  28. mind because that is something. Is going to be a strong

  29. foundation. Shall we shout Hallelujah, a

  30. stronger one. Hallelujah, Amen.

  31. That's good. So we come to the last part of

  32. Chapter 2 of Galatians. The last week I did talk about

  33. verse 16, but I haven't done a full justice.

  34. So I thought I should do rerun verse 16 and then go into the

  35. rest of the chapter. So what do we say in verse 16?

  36. Verse 16? It says know that a man is not

  37. justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.

  38. So we too have put our faith in Christ Christ Jesus, that we may

  39. be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law,

  40. because by observing the law no one will be justified.

  41. What is interesting here is the word justified.

  42. Is used for the first time in this epism to Galatians, and if

  43. Paul wrote the first epistle, is the Galatians is the first

  44. epistle Paul wrote. He is introducing a powerful

  45. concept of justification by faith to the Galatians, which he

  46. not only explains to the Galatians, but he further, I

  47. mean further expands it when he wrote the Epistle to the Romans,

  48. the justification by faith. It just takes a couple of

  49. chapters, I think in Romans chapter 3, chapter 4, and then

    Romans 3 chapter mention

  50. goes on to the benefits of justification in chapter 5 and

  51. then explains the union with Christ, our identity with Christ

  52. in chapter 6-7 and eight. So it's just amazing book.

  53. And I tell you, everybody should have in your mind an outline of

  54. what is Romans teaching, the teaching in the book of Romans.

  55. It should be in your mind and important verses important

  56. concepts, how he's progressing. It should be imprinted on your

  57. mind because that is something is going to be a strong

  58. foundation in your life. Why should we put so much

  59. effort? Because it is a a must

  60. foundation. You cannot have an option.

  61. Oh, I'm it's OK if I understand you Romans, I don't understand.

  62. It doesn't matter. No, it's not like that.

  63. You have to understand. You must understand and if you

  64. want to be a powerful Christian, that foundation is what is going

  65. to open your eyes and give you identity, security and power.

  66. So put an effort to understand Book of Romans.

  67. So now justification. We all hear the word

  68. justification, but there's also another word, sanctification,

  69. how they are related or how the concepts go together that we

  70. need to understand. So first of all, justification

  71. is just, it's just a language of the court, the legal language.

  72. So you had to imagine God the Father sitting on the throne of

  73. judgment and you got, let's say God the Father is here behind

  74. the pulpit and you are, I am the Sinner.

  75. Now I am presented here, I am standing in the court of God and

  76. they will be on the other side. Satan standing there and

  77. accusing Ramana is a great Sinner.

  78. OK, He has done this, this, this, this, He goes on list

  79. after list. You don't know God.

  80. He is really horrible Sinner and he gives you all the data, all

  81. the information to God the Father and you will be expecting

  82. what is God going to do with this?

  83. All information and then we have Jesus Christ of sin as in my

  84. advocate on my behalf and he will talk to God the Father and

  85. say what the devil is saying 100% right, He is even 200%

  86. right. But I have taken the punishment

  87. on the cross. I have suffered for him.

  88. My nails were the nails have been put in my hand in my feet

  89. and the crown of thoughts on my head.

  90. I was coached for him, and I was whipped for Him, and I took it.

  91. I had taken the punishment for his sin.

  92. And God the Father will look at me now.

  93. Between me and God is Christ, and when He looks at me through

  94. Christ, He sees me as if I had never sinned.

  95. Hallelujah. That concept is called

  96. justification by faith. No, What is justification?

  97. Justification is something God declares one as righteous for

  98. the sake of what crashes accomplished by our faith in

  99. Him. There is no other way.

  100. There is no other way is only by faith but His faith.

  101. Faith is the instrument, but not work is not work.

  102. You are not working by believing.

  103. It is just faith. It is not considered as a work

  104. at all. So you're not going to believing

  105. is not work. So you're not going to justify

  106. it because you're working your faith because you're believing

  107. and by that faith you are going to be justified.

  108. And this is the teaching of the Reformation.

  109. Martin Luther found out when he was reading Romans chapter 1,

    Romans 1 chapter mention

  110. the just shall live by faith. He, he discovered something new

  111. and then he, he saw that this is what the Catholicism was not

  112. teaching at that time. They were selling indulgences.

  113. They were doing this and that lot of stuff to make money.

  114. And that money is still there. They are still the most powerful

  115. rich organization. And he said, no, no man is not

  116. saved by any of these things. It is only by faith.

  117. And because of that we, because of his teaching, people start

  118. following him and the Catholicism, the, the Catholic

  119. Church was very angry with Martin Luther.

  120. They expelled him and all his followers and they were

  121. persecuted. They had run for their life.

  122. But because of that, because they protested against the

  123. Catholicism, Catholic Catholicism, they were called

  124. Protestants. We are Protestants, you said

  125. your neighbor. We are Protestants, we protest

  126. against that. So it's very interesting.

  127. But I tell you that has given us the gospel through Martin

  128. Luther's rebelling against the Catholicism.

  129. We got the true gospel. Otherwise we would have been

  130. perish. We will perish, all perish, all

  131. the world will perish because the gospel was locked up.

  132. It wasn't set free at all. So judicial, it is a judicial

  133. act of God declaring the Sinner righteous on the basis of Christ

  134. finished work. What is the basis?

  135. Jesus lived a fully perfect sinless life for you and me.

  136. He was not just living as an individual, but on the on behalf

  137. of the whole Adamic race, all the sinners.

  138. He lived a perfect life fulfilling the law to please God

  139. because He fulfilled the law on your behalf and my behalf.

  140. God the Father can say I impute my righteousness for the sake of

  141. my Son Jesus, and He puts that unrighteousness upon you into

  142. your account. That is what justification is

  143. all about, scientification. So do you become holy overnight?

  144. No, you are justified. But holiness is something

  145. practical where you cooperate in justification.

  146. You only believe you don't work it.

  147. It's not by works, doing good, going to church, tithing,

  148. prayer, none of these things are going to justify you.

  149. It is just by the naked faith in the Son of God who died for you,

  150. you are justified. And then you have sanctification

  151. where you practically do what the law demands.

  152. But what is the difference? You have the Jewish law that 2

  153. mainly 2 parts 1 is the 10 commandments and then the

  154. ceremonial law sacrifices for circumcision.

  155. And you know, there are so many other kinds of ceremonial laws.

  156. Those ceremonial laws were a shadow of the reality that's

  157. going to come in Christ Jesus. So Jesus fulfilled the

  158. ceremonial law and put an end to it so that we can be set free.

  159. Now I think it's actually I'll give you one verse that is more

  160. very powerful verses. Where is it?

  161. One new man. He was creating one new man.

  162. Galatians 219. No, Ephesians 215 by abolishing

  163. in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees.

  164. He did this to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus

  165. making peace. What is what is Paul trying to

  166. say here? What he was trying to say here

  167. is that Jewish people also will have to come through Christ to

  168. be saved. So he is completely cancelled

  169. the law by fulfilling the law so that anybody who needs to be

  170. saved, even if he's a Jew, oh, I have the law, he's not going to

  171. save him. They have to come to Jesus by

  172. faith. So now you have the Gentile who

  173. doesn't know the law, you're the Jew who has the law, but both

  174. have to come through who, Jesus and through Jesus he's creating

  175. a Newman. He's creating a 1 Newman through

  176. faith in Jesus Christ. So this is something awesome.

  177. I was thinking about it yesterday.

  178. I was, I said, my God, this is something no man can ever think.

  179. Even devil cannot figure out what was God planning to do by

  180. sending his son into the world? If he figured out he would not

  181. have crucified him, I'm telling you, if he knew that he's going

  182. to lose the battle, he would not have crucified him at all.

  183. So that is the mystery. That's what Paul says.

  184. That mystery has been given to him to bring it into the world

  185. to teach it. So the justification by faith is

  186. one of those powerful teachings. And secondly, we see, so

  187. sanctification is a transforming work of God within the believer,

  188. producing actual holiness of life.

  189. This is a work of the Holy Spirit because you are now

  190. justified. Holy Spirit comes to dwell in

  191. you as you yield more and more of your life, your desires, your

  192. whatever you want to do with your eyes, your hands, your

  193. heart. As you yield to the Holy Spirit,

  194. He creates in you actual practical holiness and you

  195. become holy. And there are no degrees in

  196. justification you. You can be a Christian for 50

  197. years. You can be just born again

  198. today. Both will be justified the same.

  199. There are no degrees or he is being a Christian for 50 years

  200. is more justified. No, they are equally justified

  201. but sanctification. If he has been a Christian,

  202. obedient, following God, pleasing God, he will be more

  203. holy than the one who just born again.

  204. There are degrees in it. It is up to you to cooperate

  205. with God, to grow in holiness with justification.

  206. You only believe and it is just given to your account.

  207. He reconsider into your account. So grounded entirely in Christ's

  208. righteousness, the justification impure to the believer through

  209. faith and ground in the invaling Holy Spirit who renews the

  210. believers character as you yield to him, He renews you and makes

  211. you holy and holier and holier day after day.

  212. And justification is by faith alone.

  213. But and sanctification is a process where you actively

  214. cooperate with the Holy Spirit who dwells in you by obedience,

  215. disciplines of prayer, studying the word, witnessing so many

  216. different things as you keep doing, you grow in holiness and

  217. justification is instantaneous. It just happens in one second.

  218. The moment you say Jesus, I am a Sinner, I believe you died for

  219. me, come into my heart, forgive me, done.

  220. You are justified. All your past is gone in one

  221. second. But holiness is progressive.

  222. You have to keep obeying God, praising God, worshipping God.

  223. You know all these things you have to keep on doing and

  224. justification changes your status, your Sinner 1 moment

  225. when you believe in Jesus, next moment you are declared a St.

  226. It's just instantly, instantly your position is changed.

  227. But holiness is progressive again.

  228. It is you have to keep walking with God.

  229. It is developing a new character.

  230. It is increasing in holiness, Christlikeness, victory over

  231. sin. These things are a lifelong

  232. process. No one can say have arrived any

  233. day. I am nearly, I am following

  234. Christ for 48 years now. I cannot say I arrived.

  235. Still, every day as I look at my life, I say, oh, I need to

  236. stretch myself. I need to grow more, I need to

  237. obey more. I need to yield more, I have to

  238. fight more. This is part of the

  239. sanctification. So when you are justified, the

  240. believer is freed from condemnation of the law.

  241. The law is ready to condemn everybody, but when you believe

  242. in Jesus that condemnation goes in Romans chapter 5 says

    Romans 5 chapter mention

  243. therefore, if anybody we are justified by faith, there is no

  244. condemnation. Even chapter 8 also it starts

  245. the worst one is started. If you have been justified by

  246. faith, there is no condemnation and that is how it is.

  247. And whereas in the in the sanctification enables the

  248. believer to fulfill the moral law through the Spirit.

  249. Now what we could not do by our own strength, fulfilling the

  250. moral lot, the 10 commandments, by the inventing Holy Spirit

  251. enables you to fulfill it. He enables you to do it.

  252. You had no power before. Now we have power to do it.

  253. That is great good news. And then you have assurance that

  254. your sins are forgiven, that you are going to go and see your

  255. Maker one day when you are justified.

  256. But sanctification also provides you not only assurance, but it

  257. gives you a subject to assurance and evidence of spiritual

  258. growth. How do you know you are growing

  259. in God? Only by knowing how you are

  260. growing in character. Your character is becoming more

  261. and more and more like Christ. You know you are growing.

  262. You look at a plant in your garden or any tree and if you

  263. think it is dead and you know it is dead, but if it is alive, you

  264. know the leaves will be greener, it will flower, there will be

  265. fruit will come if it is a fruiting tree and you know it

  266. has got life. Same way when people look at

  267. you, if they don't see the fruit, we are dead, we are dead.

  268. So justification comes first, then sanctification flows from

  269. it, and they cannot be confused. You cannot confuse justification

  270. and sanctification. You cannot replace each other.

  271. They must never be separated and they go together.

  272. Those who are justified will be sanctified as they yield to God

  273. more and more. Am I communicating here?

  274. So this is the great Thea. I mean the doctrine of

  275. justification by faith, which Paul introduces in chapter 2,

  276. verse 16. Know that a man is not justified

  277. by observing the law. It's not by doing the law, but

  278. by faith in Jesus Christ. We too have put our faith in

  279. Christ. They had the law, but it's not

  280. going to save them. So they also are putting faith

  281. in Jesus. That's what he's saying.

  282. We too have put our faith in Jesus, that we may be justified

  283. by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by

  284. observing the law no one will be justified.

  285. You cannot 100% follow the law, James writes.

  286. If somebody is not committing adultery but commits murder is

  287. all the same. You fail in one, you fail in the

  288. hole. There is no 85% marks, 90%

  289. marks, 99% pass. There is no nothing like that

  290. when it comes to law. One thing you commit sin, you

  291. are sin, you are a Sinner. There are no degrees there.

  292. Everybody is the same. So no one can 100% fulfill the

  293. law. Only one man born of the woman,

  294. virgin woman, which we are going to say the season is we are

  295. celebrating the season of Christ coming into the world.

  296. He alone lived without sin, fulfilling the law 100% and that

  297. he did for you and me. That's why we had to celebrate

  298. Christmas. You tell somebody why you want

  299. to be happy during Christmas because he's setting you free

  300. from obeying the law to get righteousness, to be counted as

  301. righteous. So this is good news.

  302. This is good news because all the world is trying to do

  303. something, to get something. And here are here we are

  304. Christians saying you have to do nothing just to believe in

  305. Jesus. That is just amazing to me.

  306. At least verse 17 if while we seek to be justified in Christ,

  307. it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners.

  308. Does that mean that Christ promotes sin?

  309. Verse 17 can you find an NLT and put it on the screen please?

  310. New Living translation if possible because that was just

  311. of all the translations when I looked at verse 17 was making

  312. sense when you read in new living translation.

  313. But if in seeking to be justified in Christ.

  314. Oh, this is not NLT. We don't have NLT OK searching

  315. in OK as it comes up what he is trying to say here.

  316. I struggled to understand this was quite a lot I whole week or

  317. more than a week I have been thinking about.

  318. In fact, I did not preach on this last week because I wanted

  319. more time to study. So this is if you are going to

  320. is coming up, Yeah. If you are going to be justified

  321. by law, it's not going to happen.

  322. It's not going to happen. So you are being declared A

  323. Sinner by the law. So when you come to Christ and

  324. Christ is saying I forgive you, I have paid the price for you, I

  325. have taken the punishment, He is saying I forgive you.

  326. Is he promoting sin? No.

  327. Yep, it's up there. But suppose we seek to be made

  328. right with God through faith in Christ, and then we are found

  329. guilty because we have abandoned the law.

  330. Would that mean Christ has LED us into sin?

  331. Absolutely not. Now this is a different context.

  332. This is like, imagine Peter. Like this is where the whole

  333. context is. We have looked at it the week

  334. before, the week before where Paul confronted Peter because

  335. Peter used to eat with the Gentiles.

  336. It was a normal practice, but he moved away from it when certain

  337. Jews came from Jerusalem and looking.

  338. He stopped eating with the Gentiles and he started eating

  339. separately. Seeing Peter, Barnabas also was

  340. led into joining the joining Peter.

  341. What they were trying to do is that they are trying to say you

  342. have to obey the law. Gentiles don't have the law, so

  343. we cannot have fellowship with them.

  344. Now what they are trying to say, you have to be circumcised, you

  345. have to become like one of us. When you do that, what you are

  346. doing is you are actually. Is it coming up again?

  347. Yeah. So when, when, when we are found

  348. guilty because we have abandoned the law, would that mean Christ

  349. has LED us into sin? No, it is not that.

  350. By doing the law we are actually cancelling our own faith.

  351. You cannot have works and faith together, but at the same time,

  352. when you read the book of James, you are justified by works, he

  353. says. And Martin Luther had a big

  354. problem with the book of book of James.

  355. He didn't want to have it in the Bible at all because he was so

  356. strong on justification by faith.

  357. He didn't have anything to do with the works.

  358. But how do you know you are justified unless you show it by

  359. your character? That's the reason why we need to

  360. have, we need to have the book of James.

  361. And without Book of James, we will be lost.

  362. We will become sin, sinful Christians, we will be enjoying

  363. sin and at the same time saying, no, we are saved.

  364. It is going to be a contradiction.

  365. So we need Book of James. Without it, gospel is

  366. incomplete. Next, let's go into verse 18.

  367. If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker.

  368. What is he trying to say here? If you again go back to the law

  369. again, force Gentiles should be circumcised.

  370. Now again you observe here, if I rebuild what I destroyed, he is

  371. using himself as an example. He is putting his name I Paul.

  372. You know what is he trying to do?

  373. He is trying to put an argument, a general, general argument,

  374. saying he talks about himself, but he is talking about

  375. everybody. He's not just talking about

  376. himself. Talking about everybody who is a

  377. Jew, has become a believer, have become a Christian.

  378. And if they go back to doing the law, then you are going to be in

  379. this position. If I rebuild what I destroyed,

  380. when you believe in Jesus, you are destroying the law.

  381. Basically you are deserting it. You are just walking away from

  382. it and believing in Jesus. When you go back to law again,

  383. you are rebuilding what you have broken down.

  384. You are a lawbreaker. You are a lawbreaker.

  385. That's the reason why verse 18 is important for through the

  386. law, Verse 19 for through the law.

  387. I died to the law so that I might live for God.

  388. Now what is he trying to say here?

  389. I'm telling you this, so much of wealth of information in the

  390. Scriptures, you need to sit down and study even after you listen

  391. to me sit and study because you have to get to grips with the

  392. Scripture, which will become a strong foundation and that will

  393. become a very big motive for you to live in holiness.

  394. We have to understand the Scripture.

  395. So verse 19, through the law, I die to the law.

  396. Basically what he is trying to say is that now when I try to do

  397. the law, I cannot do it. I cannot fulfill it.

  398. And you need to understand it. You will have to read Romans

    Romans 7 chapter mention

  399. Chapter 7 where he talks about it with inwardly I rejoice in

  400. the law because law is good and law is holy.

  401. But I cannot do what I approve with my mind.

  402. I only end up doing what is wrong.

  403. And he he says who can deliver me from this death?

  404. Descendants of death it is. I'm telling you, everyone of us

  405. should be able to have the struggle with sin and have this

  406. concept of, oh, I cannot do it in my strength.

  407. Only then you realize and really become a good believer.

  408. I was a believer for many years, but I had a besetting sin.

  409. And when I commit sin, I feel guilty and I don't want to read

  410. the Bible. I don't want to pray and I don't

  411. want to do anything. And it takes me to come out of

  412. the guilt, takes me one week and then I'm recovering.

  413. And now I'm reading the Bible. I confess it, ask God to forgive

  414. me, wash me in his blood. And I begin to read the Word,

  415. begin to pray, and I'm going with my Christian business.

  416. And again I sin. It again takes me one week or

  417. two weeks again to recover. Have you had this struggle

  418. anytime? Yes, even if you said keep

  419. silent, it is not going to help. Why?

  420. It is the experience of everybody.

  421. No one can say no. I don't have the struggle there

  422. was. There were times I would cry out

  423. to God. Jesus you came and died on the

  424. cross to set me free from this sin.

  425. Why am I not being set free? Why am I not being set free?

  426. Why am I not being set free? Until you have the struggle with

  427. the sin and overcome it by faith in the name of Jesus, you do not

  428. experience the full power of the gospel.

  429. You are saved only when you understand with your mind the

  430. power of the cross what Jesus did for you on the cross.

  431. And if you are not struggling with sin and you are happy with

  432. the sin, you are not saved. It is very simple, simple test

  433. Are you saved or not saved? If you are comfortable with sin

  434. and you are not feeling guilty, you don't confess to Jesus again

  435. and ask him to forgive you and wash you in his blood, then you

  436. are just not saved at all. If you are saved, you cannot

  437. keep on sinning and be happy about it.

  438. But that is why scientification is process where you put to

  439. death the deeds of the flesh and overcome and walk in the power

  440. of the Holy Spirit. And you will say, I yield myself

  441. to the Holy Spirit, take all my emotions, take all my will, take

  442. over my mind, take over my heart, Help me to do what you

  443. want me to do. Help me not to compromise sin.

  444. And then the Holy Spirit will touch you and refresh you and

  445. give you power so that that sin does not dominate anymore.

  446. Actually, I want to tell you a story to begin with, I got

  447. carried away by I was 16. There is a man called Daniel.

  448. He is supposed to be a real story.

  449. And this man was a Christian, but he had a problem.

  450. The problem is he used to drink and he used to drink to such an

  451. extent where life becomes little bit impossible to carry on

  452. normally. So this this guy would you know

  453. every time he had a binge drinking and when he recovers

  454. from it he will make certain new rules for himself.

  455. Rules like I will never drink again rule number one.

  456. Rule #2 I will read 10 chapters of the Bible every day as a

  457. punishment. Rule #3 I will fast twice a

  458. week, 2 * 2 days in a week I'm going to fast.

  459. This is why because he doesn't want to drink again.

  460. Rule #4 I will pray. I will pray an hour every

  461. morning, and only he will find himself drinking again and he's

  462. hitting the bottom. And as a Christian guy, he

  463. looked at the life of Daniel one day and told Daniel, what did he

  464. say to him? Is Daniel, you're trying to save

  465. yourself with rules. You're trying to save yourself

  466. with rules. Christ didn't die to give you

  467. more rules. He did not die to give you more

  468. rules. He died so you can be dead along

  469. with Him. That drinking, that struggle

  470. we've seen that domination of the self.

  471. The whole fleshly life has ended already.

  472. You're thinking that you have to fight it.

  473. No, you cannot fight it. You have to accept that you are

  474. dead in Christ. And when you are, when you

  475. accept that you are dead in Christ, you are buried with, you

  476. are raised up with him, you are seated with him in the heavenly

  477. realms. That is the time that power to

  478. say no to the next demon of the flesh comes.

  479. So Daniel, what did you do that night?

  480. He went and said, Jesus, I can't make myself righteous.

  481. I can't stop drinking by my own power, by my own effort.

  482. And Jesus, I can't make myself righteous.

  483. I need your life in me. I want you to live in me.

  484. Jesus, can you live your life in me?

  485. I want you to walk into me, come into my heart, live your life in

  486. me, so that I will not want to do anything on my own.

  487. I want you to live in me. And that day the Holy Spirit set

  488. him free. Something shifted then he

  489. started going to a group, confessing that I am a drunkard,

  490. but I want to be set free. People gather around him, they

  491. gave support, and in a very short time he became a

  492. victorious Christian. The beginning of victory starts

  493. calling sin sin. You call it by any other name.

  494. You are not going to win any other name.

  495. You are going to put it under the rug, under the carpet.

  496. It will resurface it again. You'll come up again.

  497. You have to call sin a sin. Only then your first step to

  498. victory begins. There was a guy who was

  499. sentenced to death and the king was standing there to oversee

  500. the execution. So out of mercy, the king says

  501. to the guy, hey, before you're executed, do you have a do you

  502. have any wish? He said, I want a glass of water

  503. to drink. So he was given a glass of water

  504. and he picked up in his hand and he was overcome with fear and he

  505. started shaking and he wanted to drink but he cannot bring the

  506. glass to his mouth. It was just shaking and shaking

  507. and shaking. And the king said to that guy,

  508. be cheerful. You will not be executed until

  509. you drink that glass of water. You will not die until you

  510. finish the glass of water. So what did the guy do?

  511. He took the king on his word and dropped the glass.

  512. It hit the ground and broke into pieces.

  513. What is it? What?

  514. What am I saying to you? Was he executed?

  515. No, he escaped the execution because he took the king at his

  516. word and dropped the glass and broke it.

  517. Now how can you drink that water unless you get another glass and

  518. another water? No, that's not.

  519. He cannot be executed on that reason on the ground.

  520. So we need to have that kind of a common sense to take God at

  521. his word. You have to believe his word

  522. when you come to Christ. You had to say my struggle with

  523. sin is over because when he died, I died with him when he

  524. was buried and buried with him when he rose again, I have I

  525. have been raised with him because he's seated with the

  526. right now, the Father. I am sitting in him right now.

  527. And when you have to do this again and again and again, tell

  528. yourself, because that's the the only way you learn and walk in

  529. victory is by repetition. You have to confess it with your

  530. mouth. You have to know who, who you

  531. are. Your new identity.

  532. You are not a Sinner anymore in Christ.

  533. You are the child of God. You're a daughter of God.

  534. You're a son of God. You have to say to yourself,

  535. hey, you cannot do the sin anymore because you're a son of

  536. God. You're a daughter of God.

  537. There is a place for confession. There are many confessions that

  538. are available in on the net if you want to find them.

  539. New creation realities and so many things and you have to do

  540. it over and over and again. Every day.

  541. Confess it. 30 minutes you confess it.

  542. There was a guy who went to a seminar conducted by Neil

  543. Anderson and in that he, he gives them a sheet of paper

  544. containing lots of confessions to make.

  545. And one guy he travelled by car five hours he drove to the

  546. conference. When he was going back, he

  547. decided I will meditate and make this confessions as I drive back

  548. for five hours he kept on confessing I'm a new creation

  549. and all things would have passed away.

  550. Everything has become new, all those kinds of one after the

  551. other. He started confessing I have

  552. been justified by faith, therefore I'm not coming

  553. anymore. No condemnation for me anymore.

  554. And afterwards when Neil Anderson came to know about

  555. this, he asked him what was the experience like confessing for

  556. five hours. He just said unimaginable life

  557. transforming. Why are Christians weak today?

  558. Because they failed to confess the word.

  559. You have to confess what the Bible says you are.

  560. You are simply by confession. What you are saying is you are

  561. agreeing with Bible who you are and when you keep doing it, you

  562. become like what the Bible says you should be agreed.

  563. Can we shout Hallelujah? Let's find a source of

  564. confessions and if you want one send me a text or send me an

  565. e-mail. I will send you 4 or 5 pages of

  566. confessions. It will take you 30-40 minutes.

  567. We are walking up and now reading it every day will take

  568. at least 30 minutes, but you will not be the same.

  569. You will not be the same. You have to not only say it,

  570. believe it and you will be transformed and that the process

  571. of sanctification kicks in, in higher gear into your life, but

  572. the confession part. So now let's come to five more

  573. minutes. Sometimes I get carried away.

  574. You know so much of the study of the Word, it just inspires me to

  575. no end. So verse 20, let's come to verse

  576. 20. I have been crucified with

  577. Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, the life I

  578. live in the body. I live by faith in the Son of

  579. God who loved me and gave himself for me.

  580. This is the most quoted scripture of Paul.

  581. Galatians 220 is no longer either live but scratches who

  582. lives in me and reigns in me. What a beautiful verse it is.

  583. There are few things that I want you to take away this morning

  584. from that one single verse. First thing is I have been

  585. crucified with Christ. Everybody say I have been

  586. crucified with Christ. So who is living then?

  587. If you have been crucified with Christ, who is living now?

  588. He has to live in US. So first thing is that we had to

  589. realize that we have been crucified with Christ.

  590. Now this is easily said than done because I have gone through

  591. this struggle myself so many times.

  592. When I fall in sin, I said, oh I have died with Christ.

  593. My life has been already placed in him.

  594. I have died. But why am I committing sin?

  595. Because I am. I am trying to live on my own.

  596. When you try to live on your own, you will be defeated.

  597. It is very simple. You have to hide in Christ.

  598. As Paul writes to Colossians, your life is hid with Christ,

  599. with with Christ in God. Your life is hid with Christ and

  600. Christ in God. And because of that truth, you

  601. have to hide in Christ. And when the temptation comes,

  602. you tell Jesus, you answer the temptation, you answer the

  603. temptation. And after half an hour or one

  604. hour or one day, the temptation will be gone.

  605. It will not have any dominion on you anymore because you are not

  606. trying to live in your strength. You're telling Jesus to face it.

  607. Cool. So my old self is dead.

  608. When Christ died for me, I died with him.

  609. When he died for me, I died with him.

  610. You may ask me, Oh, I was born only 30 or 40 years ago, how am

  611. I placed in Christ? This is the mystery of the

  612. world. Life of Christ is not.

  613. He did not live for himself. He lived on behalf of the fallen

  614. race, the life of Christ. He lived on behalf of everyone

  615. in every country, continent, language, color.

  616. He lived for everybody. And when he defeated Satan, he

  617. defeated Satan on behalf of you and me.

  618. And that is the mystery when that's the reason why you accept

  619. clash by faith. You are accepting He died for

  620. you on the cross. Then your sins are not only

  621. remitted, you receive the Holy Spirit who becomes your source

  622. of power. That is why we have to 1st

  623. realize that we have been crucified with Christ.

  624. Then I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

  625. So this is an exchange you are making with Christ.

  626. Even though you are not on the earth, when Christ died for you,

  627. You are born. Now after 2000 years, you are

  628. accepting that He died, lived for you, died for you and you

  629. are telling him, OK, you stepped into my life and you died in my

  630. place. Now I want to step into you and

  631. live my life for you. How does it sound?

  632. He stepped into your life and died for you.

  633. Now you step into His life and live for Him.

  634. Exchange, the great exchange, that's what the theorists call

  635. it, the great exchange. You're exchanging your sinful

  636. life for the holy life of Jesus. But Christ lives in me, the life

  637. I live in the body. I live by faith in the Son of

  638. God. Now this is a very important

  639. part of the Scripture is how do you live this life?

  640. You have to live the life. I live in body.

  641. I live by faith. In the son of.

  642. God, it is not an event. It is not an event.

  643. It's a process. It's not that you do it 10 years

  644. ago. God, Jesus, I know you died for

  645. me. I exchanged my life for your

  646. life. What happens afterwards is not

  647. an event. If it is an event, you have been

  648. declared righteous and you remain righteous.

  649. You become holy, you remain holy.

  650. It doesn't happen like that. You are still struggling with

  651. sin. You have struggled the last 10

  652. years. You are going to struggle with

  653. the next few more years until we come to that point where we

  654. allow Jesus to take over and we allow Him to live.

  655. I am telling you this is something I am.

  656. What I am telling you is from my heart.

  657. I have gone through the struggle for when God gives me a victory

  658. in certain sin, I will live in victory for a short time, maybe

  659. six months or three months or six months.

  660. And sometimes I wonder, huh, have I lost my ability to commit

  661. sin? And then I deliberately commit

  662. sin and then that I become a slave to the sin again.

  663. Three or four times the Lord gave me V3 or four times I have

  664. I experimented with sin and I allowed myself to be ruled by

  665. Satan again. So what is the problem here is

  666. every Christian when he comes to Christ with integrity, with the

  667. desire to be holy like He wants us to be, and you yield to him,

  668. He gives you victory. You will look at certain things

  669. which was a source of temptation or no more a source of

  670. temptation because you asked Jesus to help you.

  671. And the Holy Spirit agrees with you and He gives you power over

  672. the same situation which you have been defeated.

  673. But you, you, you lose that thing one day.

  674. Why am I not being tempted anymore?

  675. And I want to try. I haven't lost the power to sin.

  676. And you commit sin. Bang, you become a slave again.

  677. You cry out for two or three years again.

  678. God, I wanted victory again. I want the victory again.

  679. And in His mercy the Holy Spirit comes and gives you the power

  680. again and sets you free. Only you are free for a month or

  681. six. And then you again commit sin

  682. because you think you have lost ability to commit sin.

  683. Am I making sense? This we had to overcome.

  684. We had to overcome. We had to count ourselves dead

  685. in Christ, buried with Christ, raised up with Christ.

  686. And I tell you, it has to be an experience.

  687. It's not theory. It's not perception that you

  688. have to understand with your mind.

  689. It's not an intellectual exercise.

  690. It is something you have to understand with your spirit, in

  691. your spirit you have to understand that you're one with

  692. Christ, the union with Christ. You have to say it several times

  693. in a day. Morning, thank you God for

  694. making me one with Christ. Afternoon, Lord, I thank you.

  695. I'm one with Christ. Thank you Lord Jesus.

  696. I'm one with Christ. I'm in union with Christ.

  697. His life is he's living in me. He's no longer I that live.

  698. It's Christ who lives in me and reigns in me.

  699. Give him the control, make him King and don't do anything on

  700. your own until you say hear from him.

  701. You will be living in victory that besetting sin.

  702. You will walk under your feet and it will not tempt you

  703. anymore. Why?

  704. Because you allowing Christ to Christ to reign in you as King.

  705. You are allowing the Holy Spirit to one simple thing I need if I

  706. take extra time. Also, it is very important for

  707. you, for me to speak to you is confessing the bread of Christ

  708. will set you free for the besetting sin.

  709. Confessing the bread of Christ. Lord, cover me with your blood,

  710. cover me with your blood. And as you plead the bread of

  711. Christ, that that temptation will pass by you, you will not

  712. fall in that area. Confessing the blood.

  713. This power, this power in confessing the blood, this

  714. discovered after 3035 years of being a Christian, There is

  715. power in confessing the blood. I learned after many many years,

  716. 3 decades or more. And after I received that

  717. understanding, my falling has been reduced greatly.

  718. I would say greatly why I'm still in the flesh.

  719. I can fall in one area or the another, but it is not for long.

  720. I will rise up and say God forgive me, wash me your blood

  721. and start walking with him again.

  722. And praying in tanks is the key. When you pray in tongues, you

  723. are allowing the Holy Spirit to fill you, charge you.

  724. And he is not for nothing that God gives you a gift.

  725. He gives that gift to everybody. No one can say that's not for

  726. me. You say I want it.

  727. The Holy Spirit says I'm ready, Are you ready?

  728. I want to come into you. I want to give you the gift.

  729. As you pray in tongues, you're filled with the Holy Spirit and

  730. you will trample down snakes and all of our enemy because you

  731. have the power of the Holy Ghost.

  732. This is just a a mechanism, a tool or a means of grace that

  733. God has given us that we may walk in holiness.

  734. If somebody says I am not walking in holiness, I have been

  735. a believer, I would say. Have you received the Holy

  736. Ghost? Yeah, Holy Spirit is already in

  737. me. Do you speak in tongues?

  738. No. Then you are depriving yourself

  739. of one of the best tools God has provided to walk in holiness.

  740. This is out of experience. I'm telling you, I was not

  741. praying in tanks for many decades, but now I see the

  742. difference when I pray in tanks, what happens?

  743. I know when you pray in tanks, you are filled.

  744. You are charging yourself with the power of the Holy Ghost.

  745. And that's how it is going to change everything for you and

  746. me. And let's come back to the

  747. scripture here again. Who loved me and gave Himself

  748. for me so. He.

  749. Loved and he gave himself for me and I am yielding to him and I

  750. am allowing him to live in me. I am in union with Christ.

  751. There is a word union. You know this is this is very

  752. difficult concept for us to understand.

  753. When you when you read book of Ephesians and look into any

  754. commentary on it. There is a simple small

  755. preposition in English called in, IN, in, in Greek it is

  756. north, epsilon N, noon, noon, whatever.

  757. It is north. And that simply is not just in.

  758. It is not like this is your putting into another box.

  759. It's not like that. It is union.

  760. You and Christ become one and that's called a union union.

  761. And when you are in union with Christ, the dominion of sin,

  762. dominion of Satan will be broken.

  763. Say I am in union with Christ, I am one with Christ.

  764. His life is filling me and flowing through me.

  765. I will not be defeated, defeated by sin because His Spirit is

  766. living in me. I cover myself with the bread of

  767. Christ and He, the blood of Christ, sanctifies me, makes me

  768. clean. What am I trying to do?

  769. I am trying to help you to make some confessions.

  770. Now you go home, do some research or come to me.

  771. I'll give you a list of things to confess as you do it.

  772. After one month, tell me if your Christian life is the same.

  773. It will not be the same. It will not be the same.

  774. I give you a guarantee. Why?

  775. I have experienced it myself. I have experienced myself.

  776. You will have 360° rotation in your life and you will walk in

  777. victory. That is what Paul is saying

  778. here. The law will not set you free,

  779. but faith in Christ will set you free.

  780. The law will only make you prove 100,000 times that you are a

  781. Sinner. You are a Sinner, You are a

  782. Sinner because you fail. But when you come to Christ, He

  783. gives you grace and makes you a winner.

  784. And this has to be experienced which is open to everyone who

  785. believes in Jesus. Walking in victory is your

  786. inheritance, growing in holiness is your inheritance because God

  787. commanded be holy, for I am holy.

  788. That is the standard. We accept nothing less than

  789. that. And when you come to that

  790. position, the Holy Spirit says I am ready to help you.

  791. I am very pleased that you accept my standard.

  792. I want to help you. So after that you come to verse

  793. 21. I will finish quickly.

  794. Verse 21 What does it say? I do not set aside the grace of

  795. God, but if righteousness could be gained through the law,

  796. Christ died for nothing. What is he trying to say?

  797. He's covering so many things here.

  798. Peter was preaching the gospel by faith.

  799. He went to Cornelius House, he preached the gospel.

  800. Jeddahs became Christians, and he started preaching everywhere

  801. the same gospel. And now he comes to Antioch and

  802. he is now siding with the Jewish people, draws away from them,

  803. stops eating with them, stop saying fellowship with them.

  804. He's saying you should be circumcised.

  805. What is he trying to do is resurrecting what is dead?

  806. The law has been crucified on the cross.

  807. Jesus crucified the law so that you can be set free from the

  808. law, so you can become a new creation, so you can have the

  809. Holy Spirit living in you, that you can become completely new

  810. and powerful Christian. That is his will for you.

  811. And you come back to making rules like Daniel did about

  812. quitting his drinking. You are going to be defeated

  813. again. Does it make sense?

  814. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you for your

  815. word. There is power in your word,

  816. there is life in your word. Ah, we praise you, we praise

  817. you, we praise you, my Lord, which is inexhaustible wealth in

  818. the cross, in understanding the cross.

  819. No one has completely exhausted the power of the cross.

  820. But Lord, we can experience the power of the cross in a real

  821. time in our life. So I pray right now help your

  822. children to make the transaction and to surrender their old self,

  823. surrender their old life, surrender the flesh and take you

  824. and believe that they are one with you.

  825. And when they are one with you, your life will begin to flow.

  826. And when they are separated from you, the flesh will overtake and

  827. dominate. So in the name of Jesus, I pray

  828. now for your children that everyone will know and

  829. understand and walk in victory from today in a new way by the

  830. power of the Holy Spirit. I commend the children to your

  831. grace. Holy Spirit, take over.

  832. Help them to know that they are new creation.

  833. Help them to confess it. Help them to walk in victory.

  834. Help them to fill the Holy Spirit.

  835. And I pray the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be manifest in them

  836. through them bringing the Kingdom of God into the world

  837. around them to the glory of your name, Jesus, mighty name.

  838. We ask and everybody says Amen, Amen.
