  9. Hallelujah, that's it. Praise God.

  10. So we continue our study in the book of Galatians.

  11. We are coming to chapter 3 this morning.

  12. How it is just humorous to see Paul calling them foolish

  13. Galatians. What does he really mean by

  14. that? Foolish?

  15. If a pastor calls the church and say you foolish people, the

  16. whole church will store the pastor, isn't it?

  17. But this man has the guts to call this people foolish

  18. Galatians. In fact, it is JB Philips

  19. translation. He even went I don't I don't

  20. agree. He did a very good job.

  21. But he says you idiots, he called them idiots.

  22. So there must be something that is upsetting Paul and we need to

  23. find out why. Why is he so upset with

  24. Galatians that he can call them foolish?

  25. And the word foolish has many different shades of meaning.

  26. And here it does not mean that they lacked mental ability

  27. there. He the the Greek word to

  28. describe those kind of people is moron.

  29. That is not used here. Here the word used is they have

  30. intellectual ability, but they're not using it.

  31. They're keeping it on the shelf somewhere safe in their house.

  32. So they don't use their brain. So Paul is saying, guys, wake

  33. up, its time to use your brain. Don't keep it on the shelf.

  34. Don't put in the almirah somewhere in your safekeeping.

  35. No, no, it's time for you to use it now.

  36. Why does he use those kind of words?

  37. Because we already have seen so much already in chapter 1 and 2.

  38. This is only following idea is only following from that.

  39. They were trying to add to the faith in Jesus, faith plus

  40. works, faith plus ceremonial law.

  41. You must be circumcised. You must do this, you must do

  42. that. So Paul is saying wake up, think

  43. straight, don't be foolish, use your brain.

  44. You know, that's just that's, that's how he's trying to exhort

  45. these people or foolish Galatians who has bewitched you.

  46. What is bewitching? It is some people have, you

  47. know, the superstition that people can sometimes look at

  48. them and cast a spell on them. You know its called evil eye.

  49. Oh, sometimes the child, you know, some of you children are

  50. very cute. Mostly, you know, and people

  51. when the child become sick, why is the child sick?

  52. Why is the child coughing? I think that Lady cast an evil

  53. lie on my child. That's why it became sick.

  54. Have you heard this kind of explanation anytime?

  55. Yeah. So what Paul is trying to say is

  56. who has cast an evil eye on you? Who has bewitched you?

  57. Who cast a spell on you? Now read it there.

  58. Who has bewitched you before your very eyes?

  59. Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.

  60. So what is he trying to say? I was trying to figure out what

  61. is the meaning of why does he talk about the crucifixion of

  62. Jesus? Talking at the same time about

  63. being being bewitched is because when you look at Christ on the

  64. cross and put your eyes on the cross of Christ, when you are

  65. looking at the crucified Christ, no evil shall fall on you, no

  66. evil shall touch you, no spell will land on you when you are

  67. looking at the cross and Jesus Christ was crucified.

  68. Does it make sense? Why would Paul write like this?

  69. You are foolish Galatians who has bewitched you before your

  70. very eyes. Jesus Christ was clearly ported

  71. as crucified. Basically what they have, what

  72. the language of Paul is deeply rooted in the Greek culture.

  73. Whenever there is a war and a commander or a general is

  74. walking into the area that he has won, there will be soldiers

  75. coming behind him and there will be people.

  76. He'll be mounting a horse and he'll be coming in and grandeur

  77. and there will be a lot of musical instruments and you know

  78. that the people should know that he's coming.

  79. And there will be people walking in the front with a placard.

  80. You know they will have a pole on which they will be something

  81. written on it. You know what is his

  82. achievement, how he has conquered or what are the CTC

  83. conquered? What are his accomplishments?

  84. That is to proclaim to the people so that the general will

  85. be viewed highly by the people who are watching.

  86. Basically its like a billboard. The Billboard is a glorified

  87. version of the placard. But what is he trying to do

  88. here? He's trying to say that Jesus

  89. Christ was placarded, He was lifted on the cross and on.

  90. It is which clearly and also it is for everybody to read.

  91. The whatever is written on the placard is for everyone to read.

  92. Its not secret, its for everyone to read.

  93. So he says Jesus Christ has been lifted up on the cross and you,

  94. he has been placarded so that you may know that you may read,

  95. that you may understand that when you look at that Christ you

  96. will not be bewitched. No one can cast a spell on you.

  97. Does it make any sense? Shout Hallelujah so.

  98. And I was looking at the Septuagint.

  99. That is the Greek translation as well.

  100. There it says Paul constellations foolish,

  101. unthinking Septuagint use the word unthinking.

  102. That means they have the ability to think, but they don't want to

  103. think. How many Christians live like

  104. that? Do we have something called

  105. examined life? Examined life is you look at

  106. your own faith and analyze it. Why are you believing in Jesus?

  107. What has he done for you? Why do you want to believe in

  108. him? Do you have a reason to give to

  109. somebody who says, why are you a Christian if you don't have?

  110. We are unthinking Christians because Peter, when he writes,

  111. he says you must be willing to give an apologia, a defense of

  112. your faith, a reasonable explanation of why you believe

  113. what you believe. Does it make sense?

  114. So we should know why we believe in Jesus.

  115. When somebody is bewitched, it is involuntary.

  116. Like, I don't know, I just was talking to somebody in some

  117. other country and I was trying to pray for them.

  118. And when I prayed there was a spirit that is speaking.

  119. And I asked the spirit, who are you?

  120. And he gave the name and it sounded like Russian to me.

  121. So after the prayer, I asked him, what does his name mean to

  122. you? Oh, he was my colleague.

  123. When did he work with you? 2006.

  124. And what nationality belong? Oh, I don't know.

  125. He may be Russian or Romanian, I don't know.

  126. I said, what in Russia? In Romania also, they use black

  127. magic. I didn't expect, but it was

  128. there. So I said leave the leave the

  129. person. Now I cast it out.

  130. The point I am trying to make is bewitched is an involuntary

  131. target. A person becomes an involuntary

  132. target. But Paul is saying why are you

  133. bewitched? You are acting as somebody cast

  134. a spell on you when you yourself are walking into it.

  135. That's the contradiction. That is a contradiction of the

  136. Galatian people. Why is he calling them foolish?

  137. Because they are to believe in Jesus only, nothing more,

  138. nothing more. Just Jesus.

  139. And because they're adding things, he's calling them

  140. foolish. You're walking into the trap.

  141. You're acting like you're bewitched.

  142. You are not using your brain. You're putting it on a shelf.

  143. So wake up, Galatians. You know these people.

  144. Galatians before I already explained to you in one of my

  145. previous sermons, Galatia is not a particular city.

  146. It's a region. It's like a state.

  147. You have many other cities in that place, Iconium, Lystra or

  148. Lystra whatever you call it, then Derby, different places.

  149. So when he went to a place called Iconium and he started

  150. preaching, you see it all in Acts chapter 14.

    Acts 14 chapter mention

  151. When you when you read there, so many things happened there.

  152. Its so dramatic is the passage, the chapter you see there Paul

  153. and Barabas preaching the gospel, people responding in big

  154. numbers. Both Jewish and Gentiles

  155. believed in Jesus and after some time the unbelieving Jews, they

  156. stirred up the crowd and then they just wanted to they made a

  157. plan to stone Paul and Barnabas. When they came to know the that

  158. there's a plan to attack, they just slipped in the night and

  159. left the place and went to Lystra.

  160. And there again when when Paul was speaking, he found a man

  161. sitting on the floor and in his face was something that was

  162. noticeable that Paul could see that he had faith to be healed

  163. and he was a crippled from the birth.

  164. He never walked from the time he was born.

  165. And he looked at him and said stand up and walk.

  166. I said, did he say in the name of Jesus?

  167. He didn't. Did he say, I want to pray for

  168. you brother, Just wait, Father, have mercy on this man.

  169. Nothing. He said hey, stand up and that

  170. guy stood up and when he was starting jumping and walking the

  171. priest who has been in that place, they thought that the the

  172. Jews ZEU yes, Jews. That is one of the gods, the

  173. Greek gods, the Jews is come in the flesh.

  174. What is that If I saw he just use it like that Jews that you

  175. were think JUICE. So that's the reason why I'm

  176. spelling it out, because, you know, in a restaurant people go

  177. and sit there. Zeus.

  178. Sorry, Zeus, correcting my pronunciation.

  179. Thank you. I will skip the joke now.

  180. Thank you. Cool.

  181. So. Let's just keep going it were I

  182. would like to learn just one thing from you.

  183. Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law or by

  184. believing what you heard? I had to struggle a lot with

  185. this verse. I had to sit and think a lot

  186. about it in this verse and in verse 5 as well.

  187. He talks about it in verse 5. Does God give you His Spirit and

  188. work miracles among you because you observe the law or because

  189. you believe what you heard? So what is the measure?

  190. What is the kind of experience that Paul has in mind when he's

  191. saying about receiving the Holy Spirit?

  192. What kind of experience is Paul having in his mind?

  193. When you look into the life of Paul, he was trying to persecute

  194. the Christians. He was going towards Damascus

  195. with the authority to arrest people, enter their homes and

  196. seize the men, women, children and put them in the jail.

  197. But before he could do it, he was struck by a bright light and

  198. he had an encounter with Jesus. I will not repeat the whole

  199. story. You know the story.

  200. So after that event he was told, go into the city.

  201. You will be told what he should do.

  202. And he was without sight for three days, and he was fasting

  203. and praying. And God deals with another man

  204. called Ananias. Go to sorts of place and you

  205. will find a man called Saul. Pray for him.

  206. Oh, he's a wicked man. He's a very bad man.

  207. Don't worry about it. I will show him how much he must

  208. suffer. You go lay your hand on him,

  209. because he's seeing you come to him and lay hand on him, that

  210. his eyes may be restored. All the story you see there and

  211. then when Ananyas laid hands on him, he received the Holy

  212. Spirit. What kind of Holy Spirit

  213. experience did Paul have? The Bible doesn't tell us.

  214. Was it the initial receiving of the Spirit which happens when

  215. you believe in Jesus, or is he talking about the Pentecostal

  216. experience of second blessing, that after you are converted

  217. again, you have a second experience and encounter with

  218. the Holy Spirit and you receive power for ministry?

  219. Is he talking about that? It is not very clear.

  220. So I, I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to understand

  221. it, but it is not too difficult for us to decipher it or to

  222. understand it because it can be sometimes both can happen in one

  223. go. Both can happen in one go.

  224. What do I mean it? At the time of your conversion,

  225. you also have an experience with the Holy Spirit and you are

  226. saved, sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.

  227. According to Ephesians 113 to those who believed he gave them

  228. the Holy Spirit, sealed them with the promised Holy Spirit.

  229. So that is, that is every Christian.

  230. If you are a believer, you have the Holy Spirit.

  231. There is no doubt about it at all.

  232. We stand by this teaching that every believer is filled with

  233. the Holy Spirit. But Paul talks about repeated

  234. feelings when he says Ephesians 518 be being filled with the

  235. Holy Spirit. What is he saying?

  236. It is not a one time experience. It has to be a continuous

  237. experience. It has to be on the go.

  238. You should be filled with the Spirit every day.

  239. There is an ongoing experience, but he also talks about gifts of

  240. the Holy Spirit, which are given by the Spirit.

  241. So you have the Assemblies of God, which is one of the main

  242. branches of the Pentecostal denomination.

  243. That's the one main church that has stood and has taught many

  244. things and has promulgated many teachings on the Pentecostal

  245. experience. They are the people who try to

  246. say that there's a second experience that is distinct from

  247. being born again. Then you have another encounter

  248. with the Holy Spirit, and that time you receive the Holy Spirit

  249. for power. See, this is not for self.

  250. It is for others. Always is for others.

  251. The Pentecostal experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit

  252. is for ministry for other people, not for yourself.

  253. But when you are born again, you receive the Holy Spirit is for

  254. you because you become a child of God.

  255. That is what makes you to connect with God.

  256. When you pray, when you kneel down, Father looks at that

  257. Spirit that is in you and connects with you and speaks to

  258. you because you are his child. Is it becoming clearer or am I

  259. making it more difficult? I hope I'm trying to make it

  260. simple. So in this experience, what I'm

  261. trying to say here is this whole chapter.

  262. When you read you will see the word in the Greek you have got

  263. pistis is faith. There's also the word same root

  264. is used for even for verb. So if you put together all these

  265. forms, nouns, 7 word, 7 times, the word pistis is used, which

  266. is a noun and the same root with a verb, sentence, sense of a

  267. verb is used five times, adjective 2 times, total 14

  268. times. So if you know that the word

  269. pistis, pistios, pistas, whatever is a Greek word, 14

  270. times it is used. What does it mean?

  271. That's the main thing he's talking about.

  272. It's the main thing that Paul is wanting to talk to you in this

  273. chapter is faith. What is this faith?

  274. It is so easy to understand. Every believer knows he has

  275. faith. That's why he is a child of God.

  276. But what is faith? Until and unless we analyze it

  277. and understand it, we will be little bit of like Galatians,

  278. unthinking Christians. We need to analyze it.

  279. And who is the father of faith? Abraham.

  280. So that's the reason why Paul goes on to talk about Abraham.

  281. He he talks about himself, he talks about the Galatians

  282. experience. How did you receive the Holy

  283. Spirit when you heard? Not?

  284. Because you are observing the law.

  285. You heard the gospel, you believed it.

  286. That's how you received the Holy Spirit.

  287. And then he says, OK, let's talk about Abraham.

  288. And he says God proclaimed the message to Abraham before he

  289. anybody else heard the gospel. He proclaimed to him.

  290. And he said, because you believe I am creating your faith as a

  291. righteousness, and all the nations of the world will be

  292. blessed through you. All the nations will be blessed

  293. through you. So what Paul is trying to say

  294. here is, OK, God gave this promise to Abraham.

  295. Actually, when I looked more deeper into the story of the

  296. Abraham story, how did Abraham believe?

  297. He had a problem. Basically that problem is he was

  298. not able to have a child of his own.

  299. He was wealthy, powerful and he had an army of his own.

  300. Everything is going good for him.

  301. There is no problem with his life, but only one little thing.

  302. He didn't have a child and he was he.

  303. God appeared to him at the age of 75 and he keeps talking to in

  304. between several times and now at the 99 1/2 years of age again he

  305. appears to him and says by this time next year you are going to

  306. have a son. And Sarah listen from in the

  307. tent. She says will I have the

  308. pleasure of becoming a mum, nurse, a baby at this age?

  309. And she laughs. The Angel who didn't see her

  310. physically was why does she laugh?

  311. He has to go back inside and ask, did you laugh?

  312. And she says no. And the Angel says no, she did

  313. laugh. That's why they named their son

  314. Isaac. Isaac means laughed.

  315. OK, so now what am I trying to say here is there was a

  316. necessity, there was a need, there was a lack.

  317. And God promised I am going to fulfill that lack.

  318. And Abraham believed him. Now there are many things here,

  319. important things. One, when the faith comes into

  320. your heart, there will be a revelation.

  321. Without revelation its not possible to have faith.

  322. Whether it is through your need or through intellectual grasp or

  323. understanding, you will have a revelation.

  324. And when you have revelation, that is the one that puts the

  325. seed for your faith. Seed for your faith comes

  326. through revelation and no revelation faith is not

  327. possible. And when I you know, these are

  328. the things, some, some things are difficult to understand when

  329. you are beginning your life, when you are young, you can't

  330. see much into the future. But after you have lived your

  331. life for 1020304050 years, you look back, it becomes easy to

  332. understand life because you are able to see retrospectively what

  333. happened in your life. What are the milestones?

  334. When you look at the milestones, you know that you did hear God

  335. that time you think, did I really hear God?

  336. Did I do I know it? And then after a few years, when

  337. you look back and say, yeah, that day God spoke to me.

  338. That thing, God did it for me, that thing because God ordained

  339. it for me. So as you look back into your

  340. life, faith makes sense. It becomes easy to explain.

  341. Every time when I look into my life, I have supernatural

  342. revelation. I did have.

  343. It is not just thinking or else I'm reading the Bible.

  344. I think God is speaking to me from this verse.

  345. Not like that. I had supernatural revelation

  346. few times and one of the first ones that I ever had was to hear

  347. the Holy Spirit. He just flashed into my mind.

  348. I would say it's like a fiery letters or golden letters and I

  349. could grasp it. You are not fighting with flesh

  350. and blood, but its principalities and powers and

  351. whatever. I was struggling at that time.

  352. In one second everything gone. I was free.

  353. But did I understand it? No.

  354. It took me 40 plus years to understand.

  355. Now I know that God had given me a revelation 40, nearly 3440

  356. years ago. And now I know when I'm, when

  357. I'm praying for people and I'm cashing over the devil.

  358. I can tell the devil I have authority over you because he

  359. said to me. He said to me I am not fighting

  360. with flesh and bread, with peace, partisan powers.

  361. When he said to me he has given me authority over you, you

  362. devil, you are now coming out. So revelation is very important.

  363. And Abraham in all those intercourses with God, with

  364. Yahweh, he had not only deposited the seeds of faith in

  365. him, but in fact he became the father of the faith because of

  366. the revelation. Whatever is your, whatever is

  367. your need for guidance, or I had to do this, I had to do that.

  368. What is the best way? Should I take left turn or right

  369. turn? God speaks to you in your ear.

  370. Is there a promise in the Bible about it?

  371. Yes, in the book of Isaiah. So when you have that experience

  372. and when you take that path and then you find things are going

  373. well, you look back and say thank you Lord for speaking to

  374. me that day. Thank you for guiding me.

  375. See, this is how Christian, Christian life is developing

  376. into your own individual life. See Abrahams experience is not

  377. for himself. It is for every one of us.

  378. Every one of us is an Abraham. Everyone of us is a Sarah.

  379. Why? Because your experience is so

  380. unique and that is required for the body of Christ.

  381. So don't keep your mouth shut, but speak about it so that

  382. somebody else faith will be ignited because they hear your

  383. story. The faith is contagious.

  384. You cannot keep to yourself. When you share your faith, it

  385. ignites faith in somebody. It has got that power because

  386. somebody came to transmit that faith from their heart, from

  387. their mouth to someone. That faith has reached you

  388. today. So my question is, what do you

  389. want to do with this faith that you have, which God has

  390. deposited in you? Do you want to keep your mouth

  391. shut? That's not the purpose.

  392. That's not the purpose. The whole world is celebrating

  393. Christmas. They are shouting Jesus was

  394. born, Jesus was born, Jesus was born.

  395. The shops are shouting it, malls are shouting it.

  396. Everywhere you see decorations on the street, lamps are

  397. decorated everywhere. They are saying Jesus is coming

  398. to the world. But nobody's heart it is

  399. touching. It's not touching anybody's

  400. heart because somebody who has faith has to open their mouth

  401. for that message to become meaningful to somebody.

  402. I would encourage you to open your mouth this Christmas

  403. season. Tell somebody, Jesus saved me

  404. and he wants to save you too. How much time does it take to

  405. say that? Right, right.

  406. The doors will open for you to talk about evangelism.

  407. Cool. So yeah, there's so much more to

  408. talk about. Faith 1 John 54 For whatever is

  409. born of God conquers the world. Whatever is born of God conquers

  410. the world. Has Abrahams faith conquered the

  411. world? It did.

  412. Has your faith conquered the world?

  413. That's the next question. Yield to God, God my I, yield my

  414. spirit, my soul, my body, my mind to you.

  415. Holy Spirit, take over and guide me.

  416. Paul could say in the previous chapter, it is no longer I that

  417. live, but Christ just who lives in me and reigns in me.

  418. Until you come to that point of surrender where you think that

  419. your life is not yours, but it is his, and you allow Him to

  420. live in you through you and that great exchange you do, then your

  421. faith will conquer the world. Then your faith will conquer the

  422. world. Until then we are putting in the

  423. safekeeping somewhere in the house.

  424. Faith is the gift of God. No one can boast about it.

  425. Faith is God, not conviction that rests on his self

  426. revelation and responds with personal trust and obedience.

  427. So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, Word

  428. of Christ, Romans 10/17. Faith comes by hearing and

  429. hearing by the word of Christ. So we need to have this

  430. experience. Only then your faith will become

  431. valid. You know, there are people who

  432. have lots, lot of kinds of faith in the world.

  433. You, you meet a Buddhist or a Muslim, they all have some kind

  434. of a faith. Even atheist also has a faith

  435. that there's no God. He believes it.

  436. You may say, oh, that's a faith. He says, no, I don't think it's

  437. a faith, but that's a faith because they do not, they cannot

  438. prove that God does not exist. There's so much more shouting in

  439. their face that God exists. Look at the world, whether you

  440. might whether you look it through a microscope or a

  441. telescope, you have lot of plenty of evidence.

  442. It is difficult to erase it and they are having some kind of a

  443. faith. Faith is always the work of God

  444. and involves hearing his voice whereby the believer lays hold

  445. half his lays hold of his preferred will.

  446. It is John Calvin. I was quite surprised that John

  447. Calvin said those words because I thought in his theology is not

  448. much room for revelation. But he says faith is always the

  449. work of God involves hearing his voice.

  450. You have to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.

  451. When you hear his voice, then you lay hold of his will.

  452. You lay hold of his will. Whether it is marriage, whether

  453. it is Job is your vocation or the holiday where you want to

  454. go. It is not for you to make a

  455. decision on your own. This is what I believe.

  456. You got to go to God and say, hi, I want to go to Italy, Rome.

  457. Is it your will? Is it your will?

  458. I was just thinking there was a time.

  459. I just think if you want to have a holiday, you can have a

  460. holiday, you have money, you go. And now I think, no, it's not

  461. like that. You have to go to God and say,

  462. can I have some fun? God says yes, go.

  463. God says no, don't go. It's very simple.

  464. Every time we have gone on different trips, like once we

  465. went to India, we we bought the tickets 10 months in advance.

  466. But those ten months I have prayed every flight, every means

  467. of transport I bring under the bread of Christ.

  468. And every train we take, every flight we take, you know

  469. everything. The people we meet, the words we

  470. speak. I have prayed over it several

  471. times. And when it's all over, we take

  472. the flight and land back here. Then the COVID was declared as

  473. so God kept an eye on us and brought us back home.

  474. He did not allow us to be struck somewhere.

  475. Because you committed your holiday to God, He ordains it

  476. for you. He protects you.

  477. He keeps a special eye on you. This is how I want everybody to

  478. live your life. Don't live on your own.

  479. I have intelligence. I have a lot of the ability to

  480. think through. I can plan.

  481. I want to make my life according to my likes and dislikes.

  482. That's not the way to live Christian life.

  483. You have to bring it to God. Cool, let's go.

  484. Romans 1423. Whatever is not of faith is sin.

  485. It is not of faith, it is sin. So you need to have that faith

  486. mixed in everything. And without faith it's

  487. impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe

  488. that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

  489. And you know, this is all things.

  490. All these things are talked about in the book of Hebrews.

  491. Genuine scriptural faith is not our ability to count it done.

  492. It is a deep consciousness divinely imparted to the heart

  493. of man that it is done. It is the faith that only God

  494. can give. What am I trying to say here?

  495. Deeply in your heart you are conscious, and the Holy Spirit

  496. puts it in your heart. It is done.

  497. We are you're you're asking for something when you're asking for

  498. a healing, asking for a deliverance.

  499. You're you're trusting God to come through to do a miracle for

  500. you Divinely ordained instinct, you call it instinct or whatever

  501. it is, nudge in your heart, you know it is done and then the

  502. miracle happens. Miracle before the miracle

  503. happens there somebody has to believe, somebody has to have

  504. faith and only then a miracle happens.

  505. So I'm quite amazed about the things that I have been thinking

  506. about in in James chapter 2 verse 19, you believe that God

    James 2:19

  507. is 1. You do well.

  508. The demons also believe and shudder.

  509. You tell the demon God exists. It may be shaking, but it cannot

  510. be saved. It cannot be saved.

  511. Demon is judged already. They will go into hell, but they

  512. shudder at the name mentioning of the name of God.

  513. What about believers? They don't have the same kind of

  514. fear the demons have. How many of us really afraid of

  515. God? I see some hands going up.

  516. That's good. Good to see that when when you

  517. are able to answer affirmatively, that means you

  518. have a genuine encounter with God.

  519. And when you have a genuine encounter with God, you will

  520. have a respect. Is not fear fear, its not about

  521. crouching before God. It is that reverence that comes

  522. in your heart that lifts him up, that gives him the top place,

  523. that obeys him, that just wants to please him.

  524. Nothing else matters except his approval.

  525. Just a nod, just a wink. We are looking for that wink

  526. from his eyes and that is really living by faith.

  527. Just living by faith and this, this kind of a faith will be

  528. tested. If it is not tested, it is not

  529. genuine. Remember Me, these words of

  530. mind, every faith, when it is tested, only we know it is

  531. genuine. And I think it is Peter who

  532. talks about our faith being tested.

  533. That is like gold being refined in fire.

  534. The gold is a solid. It takes a lot of heat to melt

  535. it. But when you melt the gold and

  536. all the impurities come up on top, you remove the impurities

  537. and then you allow it to cool down, that becomes pure like

  538. that. Trials have got a place in

  539. Christian life and they make you pure, they make you holy, they

  540. make you to align with the will of God, the mind of God.

  541. And there is a place for trials and faith will be tested and

  542. other otherwise it will not be legitimate.

  543. And faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit.

  544. Galatians 522. So we have looked at so many

  545. things about the faith, but ultimately what is important is

  546. that we need to have this faith like Abraham.

  547. And when you have the faith, you will be justified.

  548. That is what it justifies. And Paul goes on to talk about

  549. everywhere he scatters this idea in Romans 117, the just shall

  550. live by faith, which picks up from the book of Habakkuk in the

  551. Old Testament. He talks about in the book of

  552. Galatians, he talks about elsewhere.

  553. It is the most powerful thing that anyone can ever understand

  554. and rely or base your life on is the faith.

  555. Your foundation has to be faith in Jesus Christ, nobody else.

  556. No other thing, no other thing. It is not Jesus plus something.

  557. No, it is Jesus only. It is Jesus only and then you

  558. have a real faith that's very, very important for us to

  559. understand. So let's look at I think my time

  560. is finished so I'll try to cover it next week, explain a little

  561. more. There's so much more to talk in

  562. chapter 3. We'll continue next week.

  563. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you again,

  564. thank you again, thank you again.

  565. Thank you again for the gift of faith which your given a measure

  566. of it to each one of us. I thank you for the deposit of

  567. faith in our heart, in our spirit that has helped us to cry

  568. out to our Father, to connect with You and to be saved and to

  569. believe in your Son Jesus. We pray for the gift of faith.

  570. We thank you Jesus. Nothing else can substitute it,

  571. nothing else can replace it. Nothing else can replace it.

  572. It is just Jesus and Him alone. He is our life, He is our light,

  573. He is our bread, He is our fortress.

  574. He is everything to us. He is our shepherd.

  575. And I worship you, our Father, for this great gift of Jesus.

  576. We thank you. For the gift of faith, we honor

  577. you, We praise you. Lord, bless your children now.

  578. Holy Spirit, I invite you now to touch their heart.

  579. Put your hand, Lord Jesus, upon their heart right now that they

  580. may know that you are touching them and strengthen their faith.

  581. Make it strong. It may be able to stand firm

  582. until you're coming to the glory of your name, Jesus.

  583. Name, we ask and everybody says Amen.
