We've been talking about justification by faith.

We're talking about how we are called by God, you know, and how

he justifies us not because of we, we follow the law, but by

faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. It is very, very simple.

But then the question that raises arises is when did the

what happens to the law, The law that is come through Moses has

been honored, has been held revered and held in very high

esteem by the Jewish people. But that law is not the basis

for on which God is justifying people.

So how the law had a temporary place, That's what Paul is

trying to expound from verses 15 to the end of the chapter, how

it is important and what is its importance and why it is

important. At the same time, how promise is

superior to keeping the law, how you are justified by because of

a promise? The whole thing is like this.

Brothers, let me take an example from everyday life.

He is saying it's everyday life. It may not be for us everyday

life, but for Jewish people, they held Abraham in very high

esteem. So he says, hey, you think of

him every day. You are his descendants.

Now I want to tell you something which is very, very your it is

in the in the basic fabric of your existence.

You believe you are a child of Abraham, descendant of Abraham.

I want to talk about it. That is what Paul is saying.

Everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or

add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is

in this case. How many of us are aware of

something called will when it comes to property matters?

You write a will. Why?

Suddenly if we disappear, we die.

We want to know what is going to happen to the property, who is

going to get what. So that will is something very,

very important. But then if you have a will that

is binding on what you are going to do with the property, it is

no will. It becomes difficult to deal

with it. It is very, very crucial to have

a will, but if you have more than one will, like today I want

to say so my, I want to distribute my property.

Sema and I decide go to the lawyer and make a will.

And then after two years we change our mind.

No, no, we don't want this son to get so much.

We don't want this much, this son to get so much.

We want to change it. You go and make changes again

with sitting with the lawyer. Then what will is going to be

final, The last one, the first one will be cancelled.

The last one remains. That's that's what we see

happening in our in our community in the sense present

in the present world everywhere in every country.

That's how we do it. So what Paul is referring to

here is that God made a will, God made a covenant, God made a

contract with Abraham and that cannot be changed.

It is like a, it is a Greek culture, basically.

It is rooted in Greek culture. The Roman government, you have

to, you certify a will go to the government, say this is my final

way. I want my property to be

distributed. And you go to the government and

then they say, yeah, put a stamp on it.

That is it. That is final.

You cannot add to it. You cannot remove from it.

So what he's saying is it is the same way what God promised to

Abraham is not going to be cancelled, is not going to be

added. Nothing is going to be added to

it. So what did God do with Abraham?

He made a covenant with him. What kind of covenant he made?

You'll have to read Genesis chapter 15 to understand what

Paul is saying. In Genesis chapter 15, Abraham,

God appeared Abraham and said, Abraham, I am your great reward.

Don't be afraid. I am your great reward.

I am, I am the one who is going to bless you.

He says, what blessing are you going to give me?

You gave me everything, but he didn't give me a son.

This servant is going to become my who is going to inherit all

that I have. The slave in my house is going

to inherit everything. And God says, no, your servant

is not the one who is going to inherit.

You will have a son and that son will inherit.

How do I know what you are saying is true?

You know this is how God talks with each one of us.

There are times he gives you a promise and you go through some

crises and you doubt whether it is going to be true.

Am I communicating here? Is it all experience?

Even as we were singing this morning, I was remembering when

I was just 20 plus may be 21 year old and I was walking in a

different state because of the job.

I went there and I had no friends, no relatives.

The language is different, everything is different.

And after my work, I don't know what to do.

So one day I was going with wherever the road was going, I

was going. I came to the end of the city

and kept walking and I asked myself, God, why did you bring

me here? Why am I walking on this lonely

Rd. Why am I?

What is the purpose that you are accomplishing in my life?

So there will be times when you will go through those wilderness

movements, walking in the wilderness.

Just because God promises doesn't necessarily mean

everything is going to be fun all the time.

But my, my, what I'm trying to say here is we need to believe

that promise. When it is impossible to

believe, when it's difficult to believe.

You believe God, You're right. My feelings are not right, my

emotions are not right. But I want to believe.

And God said, OK, bring me a heifer, bring me a goat, bring

me a ram, bring me a turtle now and bring me a pigeon.

How many things I said? 5 and cut them into two.

Arrange the pieces on the ground and Abraham obeyed.

Next day morning there it was, 3 year old heifer.

Now you know, I thought I knew English for a long time.

Only yesterday I looked up the dictionary again.

Heifer. What is a heifer?

Can you say? Somebody give me a meaning of

heifer. Thank you very much.

Female cow. I thought it was male.

Why did I think like that? Because Jesus is the one who

fulfilled everything. I by default, I thought heffer

means it's a should be a male one, but I opened the

dictionary. It's a female.

I said, oh, so language sometimes, you know, we keep

growing in, you know, vocabulary and understanding and pardon

correct before it had a cough. That's also very important.

I want I was about to say it. Why does why does it matter?

Why does it matter for a female cow before they had a calf that

it should be sacrificed? You should be 3 year old and the

goat should be 3 year old. Ram should be 3 year old.

Three stands for perfection. Every animal is at his peak of

reproduction ability. At the age of 3 is fully mature.

So what God is saying is bring me mature heifer, bring me a

mature goat and a ram. And you cut into half and the

pieces were put apart from each other.

Blood is still flowing out of the animals.

You will have to imagine a little bit.

There is one picture there in the drive.

So the whole issue is like the animal is cut into half.

So how many pieces you have now? Six pieces of the three animals

and then you have the turtle down and you have the pigeon.

These birds were not allowed to be cut is always like that is

always, they are not cut into pieces and they are often as a

whole burnt offering in the thing.

Later on, you see when the law was given in the book of

Leviticus and new numbers and you see that heifer is used for

cleansing, heifer is used for cleansing.

They usually they find a red heifer.

You know, there's so much of talk in Jerusalem going on about

red heifer. Now they burn the red heifer

outside Jerusalem, bring the ashes.

When you mix water and sprinkle it on anything, it becomes

clean. So God gave those things to

Abraham heifer for cleansing. And then you got a goat.

You got 2 goats, which we selected in the later on in the,

in the in the, in the law and one goat.

You put a hand and a priest puts his hand on his head and confess

the sins of the whole is a nation of Israel and one is

allowed to escape into the wilderness, but one is

sacrificed sin offering ram a sin offering everything is for

this kind of purposes and God says do this thing, then why is

he asking all the sticks to be done is the local belief.

When somebody is making a covered with another person.

Let's say man A and a man B are making a covenant.

They will cut the animal and walk between the pieces.

And when they walk between the pieces they are saying to each

other, if I fail to keep my contract, may I be dead like

this animal? May I be dead but like this

animal? But when God made a covenant

with Abraham, he made it one sided on his own.

What is the word? I forget suddenly.

She is a pastor's wife. So unilateral.

What I mean is that Abraham is not going to be party to fulfill

the terms. He may be living for some time

and he will be dead, but who will be the one who will fulfill

it? God.

So what is God doing is I will come, come to a little later in

a few seconds. So what Abraham did was he cut

them, arranged them and he was trying to drive away.

When the the eagles and the vultures were coming down to eat

the carcasses, he was trying to drive them away.

Basically, when does it happen? It takes at least 10 to 12 hours

after an animal is cut that will begin to putrify and it emits a

smell attracting the vultures. So the whole day he was standing

there making sure that nothing will come and eat those

sacrifice animals. And by evening he was exhausted.

Driving away vultures. He was very exhausted.

He fell into a trance and then he saw a smoking pot and a torch

go between the parts for God. For God.

What are the two things that went in between the parts?

A smoking part and a torch, Let's say smoking pot stands for

God the Father and the torch stands for the Holy Spirit.

Where is God the Son? You know, everywhere all three

are involved. Isn't it the animals that have

been sacrificed? They stand for Jesus who is

going to be crucified in the in the future.

And God says Abraham, I promise that this blessing that I am

giving to you is to you and to your offspring, to you and to

your seed, not the proof singular, singular that is to

Jesus Christ. So Jesus Jesus Christ received

the promise through Abraham. God the Son received the promise

through Abraham. I tell you when the more you

think about these things, the more fear comes over us.

Why? Because when you are dealing

with God, when He gives you a promise, He is making a partner

into His eternal plans. He makes you a partner in His

eternal plan. You don't live for yourself.

Abraham is not living to himself 3000 years after Abraham lived.

We are talking about him today because he partnered with God

and it is the same today. He's asking each one of you and

me, do you want to partner with me in my plans, in my purposes?

And it is not for yourself. Remember, the partnership is not

for your own blessing. It's not for you to make you

rich. It's not to make you Mr.

Universe or whatever physically. No, it is to partnership is to

bring His Kingdom into the world through your life for the glory

of His name. He wants salvation to come

through you to everyone else in the world.

I tell you, if this part is gone, then we are doing nothing.

We are. We are doing some.

We are playing in the church. We are not doing the purpose for

which God has called church into existence.

God has called a church in existence.

You and me to see that this gospel will go to every person

in the world. It has to begin in the house.

Where does it begin? In the house?

Because later on when you see the Passover lamb, if they

select a lamb and it will be in in the family for nearly two

weeks, it becomes part of the family.

Yet it will be sacrificed after two weeks.

Why? So that the children would know

what does it mean, the Passover mean?

How God passed over these things, how God passed over

every issue and how He saved them, how He delivered them from

bondage in Egypt. That is how He wanted the family

to know the gospel. Gospel has to be shared in the

family first. That is very, very simple rule.

And then He made the promise unilateral just on his own, and

he passed through between the parts because no one is above

God by which he can make a promise.

You know, people promise, make a covenant or promise with

somebody who with higher authority, somebody may.

In the New Testament, you see people used to swear by the gold

in the temple or the temple or whatever.

It is something great because there is no one greater than

God. He said, I will surely bless

you. He is making a unital, unital

promise, and that promise is going to fulfill it by His own

power. Accomplish it.

Now this is very important, very, very important.

In the morning we talked about many are called, few are chosen.

I was thinking about it yesterday, whole day.

How do you know that you are chosen?

If you are saved your car, how do you know you are chosen until

you partner with the vision of God, until you partner with the

purposes of God, until you partner with God for his Kingdom

to come into the world. When that desire is the one that

drives you, when that that consumes you and that is the one

that makes you dream of it. That's the one that makes you

think of it day and night, you are chosen.

You are chosen. The other way that you can know

is have you had a vision, a supernatural vision from God?

Have you had a supernatural dream from God?

Have you had, do you have some kind of a prophetic word that is

released over your life? Sometimes somebody has

prophesied over you say this is what God wants to do with your

life. You are chosen.

These are only symptoms. Sometimes you can have the naked

faith and cast your future with the naked face.

Say God, you are reliable, you are faithful, and you are like a

mountain. You're unshakable.

I put my trust in you and nothing can shake me and I

believe in you. I believe in your plan for my

life. I believe in your purposes for

my life. You will be unshakable and you

are chosen because your heart says I.

My heart is with God. We can be chosen as a we can be

called and live like as if we are not chosen.

To be chosen, you need to align your life with the mind of God

and the will of God. Nothing shall come between you

and God. Whether it is a drink or a food

or a pleasure or whatever it is, it will take second place.

I was talking to a young man who was going through problems in

marriage and he said, oh I don't have intimacy.

I am not living with my wife. My kids are gone from me.

What do you want me to do? I said confess the bread of

flesh on your wife and your kids.

Things will improve. And after one month he comes and

says, oh, I did it for a week and then I gave it up.

I said you are not fit to win. Why?

Because you are hard to do that until you win.

You cannot give up after one week.

Personal lives, personal struggles, we overcome by the

bread of the lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Every struggle you see, every problem you come across, you are

going to overcome it by the bread of the lamb.

That blood you put upon the relationship, that blood you put

upon the situation, that situation will yield.

That situation will change because that blood will speak

for you. Abraham sacrificed and that

blood was speaking. That blood was representing the

blood of Jesus. He is the one who makes a

covenant with you. He is the one who will fulfill

it for you. He is the one who gives you a

promise. He is the one who will fulfill

the promise for you. He will not fail.

Possible. We are not denying it because we

look at all the disciples. They were chosen.

They were called Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth.

He says come and follow me. He was called and he was chosen

and he became a martyr for Christ.

All the 12 disciples except John the disciple, everybody was

martyred, beheaded, crucified upside down, crucified different

ways. They were all become.

So persecution is the part of the calling, part of the part of

the choosing process. There was a time I I used to go

to India very frequently every year, sometimes even twice in a

year. I went for preaching and

teaching and praying for people, healing, deliverance, all

things. We were very excited in the

initial days. Later I saw that became a

financial burden. But what stopped me going was

the persecution. I said don't want to go there

and get stuck up there. So I stopped going.

Think we need to be intelligent as well.

We don't have to walk into it. Right now.

There is persecution going on in Iran.

They say there is no count what CNN says, what Fox News says.

They only set out 2503 thousand people and some say 12,000

people, but some people say it's 30,000 people.

It is so the massacre on the streets because he hired Arabic

speaking Shiite Muslims to come to rescue him and to stop to

suppress the agitation. And they just came and

slaughtered the people. And the people who are holding

the dead bodies are demanding money to release the dead body.

What are they going to do with the 30,000 bodies?

It is depravity, I tell you. It is showing the depravity of

Islam Khomeini is putting down. Islam is showing to the world

what Islam is. Hey, I don't care for people,

but Christianity says God loves people.

People die for the gospel there. They want to kill people here.

We die for the gospel. That's the difference between

Islam and Christianity. And Jesus is appearing to many

people in visions and dreams and people are just on mass

believing in Jesus Families. Many, more than half of the

masks are empty in Iran today. Nobody is going to mask anymore

because they are believing in Jesus.

Talk about persecution. Where there is persecution, God

pours out His grace more. He pours out His grace more.

So here we see again the scripture does not say and to

seeds meaning many people, but to your seed meaning the one

person who is Christ. How God speaks and fulfills it.

After nearly 2000 years, it is just amazing only God can do.

Abraham lived for certain number of years and died.

But who is fulfilling the promise?

God, God. So when, when we, when you

believe, when I and you believe in Jesus is a contract formed

between you and God which will go on to the children, It will

go on to the children and children's children and to

children's children to save generations.

So your faith is not in vacuum. Your faith should impact your

generations. Then you are an Abraham.

When your faith is passed on to family, you become an Abraham.

We need to pray about it. We need to seek with tears.

If it is required, we need to do it.

But God will not fail. He is a God of Abraham, Isaac,

and Jacob of every generation, every generation.

My purpose is not to put down anybody or to bring grief to

anyone but my I want encourage people to believe this God and I

want you to experience the power that comes through faith in this

Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He will not fail.

He will not fail. And then what I mean is this.

The law introduced forward and 30 years later does not set

aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do

away with the promise. What he's trying to say, Paul

here is God promised to Abraham and that is final.

It is not going to be changed. Nothing is going to be added to

it. Law came forward and 30 years

later cannot cancel what God has promised to Abraham as He

justified Abraham. So everybody is going to be

justified by their faith in Jesus Christ, not by following

the law, not by following the law.

That's the reason why the gospel is superior and powerful than

the law. It inward power comes into you

when you believe in Jesus to fulfill the law, because you

walk in love, you fulfill the whole of the law and that power

comes. And what Paul was trying to say

here is by faith you receive the Holy Spirit.

We are talking about it last week.

By faith in Jesus Christ, you receive the Holy Spirit and that

is the promise. What did God promise to Abraham?

The Holy Spirit. If you believe in Jesus Jesus

Christ, you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive the Holy

Spirit and that Holy Spirit is the seed that comes into your

heart to make your blessing, make your blessing.

I tell you the more I thought about it yesterday, my mind was

just getting blown in different into smithereens to parts.

I said, oh God you are great. You are so great.

I am so small and you are faithful.

You are eternal from eternity to eternity.

You are God and you are so awesome.

You are so holy. You are so full of grace and

love. And what am I?

What am I that you should choose me?

What am I that you should also you should call me and choose

me. John chapter 15 is all about

calling and choosing. You got to remain in Him by

obedience to His commandment. So you may be fruitful, you may

be fruitful. Why does God allow a problem?

He allowed this little problem, not having children, infertility

for Abraham, Why? He wanted him to know there is

God who makes him or enables him to be fertile, enables him to

have children. Every problem should drive you

to God, not away from God. Every problem should drive you

to God, to believe you believe in God, to have faith in God.

My God, if you can't save me, there is no one else in this

world who can save me. I want you to come through now

for me. I want you to split the sky, the

dark clouds and come down because I am looking to you for

help. He will come down.

God will fight for every desperate soul.

When you are desperate, He will come down and help you.

So have the message. So the next part is, what is the

purpose of the law? That is, he goes on from verse

19 to almost the end of the chapter to verse 25, and then he

finishes with few promises in verse 26 onwards.

The number one purpose, he says, is the purpose of the law.

It was added because of transgressions until the seat to

whom the promise referred to had come.

The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator.

A mediator, however, does not represent just one party.

But God is 1. So what he's trying to say here

is why did the law? Why?

What is the purpose of the law? God gave the 10 commandments so

that everybody who is trying to do them will know that he cannot

keep it. Everybody, whoever is born of a

woman in the world, will be convinced that they cannot keep

the law 100% of all the time in their life.

There will be even one time you break it, you are guilty of

breaking the whole of the law. That's the reason why the law

was given, so that people can become desperate in their own

lives. You know there I always tell

this point in my in my own life, there are times I cried out to

God. God, you have given me, you

called me from a different faith to believe in your Son Jesus.

But I am not seeing victory in this area of my life.

I am falling in the sin again and again and again.

This is not right. This is not why you died for me

on the cross. When I cry out to Him, He has

given me victory over the sin. You need to know the struggle

with sin, and you need to know the victory over sin, because

the gospel will not make sense. Until you know the power of sin,

you will not know the power of salvation.

So here he says it is given so that you will know that you are

helpless. You will know that you cannot by

your own strength fulfill the law.

So you look forward when Christ is coming, appearing on the

scene after 1500 years, and he dies up on the cross and rises

up again from the dead, and that gospel is preached.

You grab it now because you find hope in that gospel.

So the gospel is something God prepared in history.

He did not do it in one day. He gave, he called people, He

made them reveal himself to them.

Like how do you know that Abraham build in the right God?

Its a big question isn't it? Its a philosophical question.

Did he believe in the wrong God? No, How do you know it?

Because of what things that have followed, we know that he build

in the right God. If they believe the wrong God,

people will be butchered. But you believe in the right

God, we will be saved. So that's how you know in

history that the gospel is ratified, certified over and

over and again that it is true by everybody who does contrary

to the gospel. Gospel will be more lifted up.

And then secondly, he says the law was proven defect through

angels. That's OK.

And then he says if the law was given like a tutor is given like

a tutor. What's the job of a tutor?

Like a like a warden? Have you been in a hostel

anytime? If you, if you go to hostel, you

live in a hostel and you study and you, you grow up there.

You know the warden is like a tyrant.

He has complete control over you.

You're sitting down, you're sleeping, you're eating,

everything is in his control. But one day you'll come out of

the hostel. Same way.

The law is given to show us the tyranny of sin so that when we

receive the gospel, we know the life that's available in the

gospel. He is like a warden, He's like a

tutor. He teaches you, He leads you to

the truth. So that is how he explains all

that. I am just trying to finish it

basically, so I am not going into more detail.

But then he says in verse 26 onwards, you are all sons of God

through faith in Christ. Jesus is just somebody who want

to rejoice in hearing those words.

Only one person. You are all sons of God through

faith in Christ Jesus. And when it says your sons of

God, it also means your daughters of God.

Bible doesn't always say sons and daughters, sons and

daughters. Some by some Bibles have been

printed to do that. But don't worry about it when

the Bible says the sons of God is also talking about daughters.

When you believe your daughter will be a son, don't worry.

You can be a son, a powerful one.

Cool. For all of you who are baptized

into Christ have closed yourself with Christ.

You are closed with Christ. That's your identity.

You are all little Christ walking around everywhere.

When you get angry and shout at somebody, they look at your Is

this Christ? Not so much.

So let's be like we have put on Christ.

Let's live like we have put on Christ in love.

Walk in love. There's neither Jew nor Greek,

slave nor free, male nor female, but you are all one in Christ

Jesus. So there's a unity that you see

in Christ Jesus. We are all one in Christ Jesus.

He's the head. We're members of the body.

There's so many different ways Bible talks about the unity of

the believers. We are all one.

We are all children of God. We have put on Christ.

If you belong to Christ, then you're Abraham's seed.

The singular becomes plural. Now what was given as a singular

God promised to one seed, that is, Christ Jesus.

But when you believe in Jesus, you become the seed of Abraham.

You become the seed of Abraham. So one seed is promised to one

seed, but by faith that seed becomes multiplied now,

multiplied now, and is according to the promise, whatever is

promised to Christ. You are an heir to that promise.

You know it is. It is not that easy.

I recently talked to somebody and he said, brother, read

Isaiah 61 every day and pray over it and claim it.

Your life will change. I know when he talked about

Isaiah 61. I know what's there in Isaiah

61. So there's a big promise there.

There's a big promise there. So you need to be reading,

meditating and claiming it because you are an heir with

Christ. He said go into all the world,

preach the gospel, cast our demons, heal the sick, raise the

dead, let the blind see deaf hear downstream, lame walk, let

dead be raised. That is the promise.

That's the inheritance. That's your inheritance in

Christ Jesus. So you need to walk in.

It is not for only one pastor to do it or 1 elder to do it.

No, it's for everybody. That's why you are.

You can be called and live only as called, not as chosen.

When you are chosen and when you believe it, you will long for

your inheritance. You will be restless, You will

cry out to God. Why blind?

Don't see? Why deaf don't hear?

Why lame don't walk. Why did I not raise you groan in

your spirit? You're longing for it.

You want to be a prophet. You want to bring the Word.

You want to heal. You want to see peoples has

changed. If that hunger is there in you,

you are chosen. If you don't see it, it simply

means you will see it very soon. Why?

You can't be called and chosen and be fruitless?

It's just impossible. It is just impossible.

Shake somebody, give them a hype and say it's impossible not to

bear fruit. You're called, you're chosen.

Abraham was called. He was chosen.

That problem of childlessness is gone.

He had one son at the age of 100, wife being 90 years old,

beyond childbearing. Yes, she was beautiful enough to

be taken away by a king. Just mind.

It's mind blowing. And when I think of Sarah's

beauty or Rebecca's beauty, riches, beauty, I always think

it is just you don't see those kind of people these days.

Somebody who is 90 years old and looks like a 60 year old or 40

year old. It's very difficult because this

is part of the sin problem. You know, it just has an effect

on the body. It runs you down.

But what I am trying to say here is in the Spirit we must be

young. In the Spirit we must be like

eagles which renew their strength and mount up with

strength and family high. That is our inheritance.

That is our inheritance. Your problem is the gateway to

see the power of God. Your problem is the door to see

the power of God in your life. Can you surrender your problem

to God this morning? Shall we pray?

Thank you Jesus. Surrender your problem to Jesus.

He wants to make that a door of hope, a door of power, door of

salvation, door of finding a solution to your problem, a door

for revelation. You will see the power of God

through your problem, surrendering to God, surrender

it to God, surrender it to God, surrender and say God take over,

take over. Take over my life, take over my

problem, take over my future, take over the year 2026.

I want to see your blessing. I want to see your power.

I want to see your power. And God will say you are chosen.

Not only your call, but your chosen.

Father, we thank you this morning again.

We give you glory, honor and praise for speaking to us.

We worship you. We honor you.

We bless your name. We magnify your name.

Oh Father, I pray take our problem.

As the children are surrendering their problem, let your glory

come through the problem. Let them see your glory in the

problem. Let them see that the problem

will become a door that opens to see your glory.
