You've tuned into a mega church. We are people hungry to
-
encounter God through worship and His Word being witnesses to
-
the world around us. We pray this teaching blesses
-
you and trust God will reveal Himself to you in a new way
-
today. And if you need prayer for
-
healing or breakthrough, or to find out more about Omega, get
-
to our website or Facebook page through the links below.
-
So there is you can show some kind of power, but there is a
-
limit to how much a man can show the power.
-
There is only a limit. But in the case of Samson, that
-
exceeds all human imagination, exceeds all human imagination.
-
He was really, really powerful, but at the same time he also was
-
a man of weaknesses, lots of weakness.
-
He is one of those about whom his birth was foretold.
-
The parents were without children.
-
And an Angel appears to Manoa's wife.
-
Her name is not mentioned in the Bible anywhere.
-
Who is Samson's mother? We don't know.
-
But Angel, care to appear to her and tell you are going to have a
-
son? You will.
-
He will be a Nazarite. No razor should come on his
-
head. He should not drink anything, no
-
wine, nothing connected with grapes and he should not touch
-
any dead body. You know, he has to keep himself
-
pure. All the list he gave and she
-
says to the husband, huh, Somebody appeared to me a man of
-
God and he said we are going to have a son.
-
Oh, is it so? How did he look like?
-
What did he say? He was very excited and he
-
prayed. Oh God, if you are the one who
-
appeared to my wife, will you please appear again?
-
You can read all that in chapter 13.
-
Chapter 14 He goes to Timna because he liked the girl he
-
picked quarrel with the people there and he gave them a Riddle
-
to solve and they saw the Riddle with the help of the lady.
-
He got angry, went and killed 30 people and gave their close to
-
the 30 people who were there with the bride.
-
First slaughter 30 people and then he goes back again to take
-
the wife. And by then the father gives the
-
girl to his friend because he said, I thought you hated her,
-
so I gave her to your friend in marriage.
-
Here I will get even with you guys.
-
So he caught 300 foxes, tied them tail by tail, put a torch
-
in between and lose them into the wheat field.
-
There was ripe standing grain, completely burned down.
-
They said, who did this? Oh this is the team night his
-
son-in-law or supposed to be son-in-law.
-
Samson has done it so and he goes and hides in a in a cave or
-
somewhere on a hill. I think the hill is Etam 15
-
chapter. I cannot find it now.
-
The Philistines went up to camp in Judah, spreading out near
-
Lehigh. Men of Judah asked, why have you
-
come to fight us? So basically these people,
-
Philistines wanted to fight the Israelites.
-
So they came. They said, why do you want to
-
come and fight with us? Because we want to kill the guy
-
who who does a lot of harm to us.
-
He set fire to our fields. We want to do exactly what he
-
did to us. The 3000 men of Judah, they go
-
to Samson and say, hey, don't you know that Philistines are
-
rulers over us? How dare you do this?
-
Now how many of us think the devil has power?
-
Tell me this morning that is what they are affirming.
-
What are the what are the people of Judah affirming?
-
3000 men are going to Samson and telling, don't you know that
-
Philistines are allowed over us? Now one more question, how many
-
people did Gideon have to defeat 130000 soldiers of median just
-
300 people. You have got 10 times more
-
people wanting to tie up Samson handover to the Philistines.
-
Shame, shame on Israel for doing that.
-
So many times we surrender to the devil just like that.
-
We think they will has lot of power.
-
He has been defeated. Let's all say he has been
-
defeated. Pardon.
-
Oh, he wasn't there in those days, correct.
-
But it is about us now, about us now.
-
So Christians are still in that same mindset where we think the
-
devil has complete control over our life.
-
No, if you are a believer, you are set free from the dominion
-
of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of the light of His
-
Son, Jesus Christ. So we have to have this change
-
in our mindset. The devil is defeated until we
-
believe it strongly. He is going to come and punch
-
you. You got to tell him every day,
-
every waking moment, you will have to tell the devil.
-
You will talk back to him and say hey, you are defeated.
-
You are defeated. You are defeated.
-
You have no power to touch me. You have no power to touch my
-
family, my children, grandchildren, any anything.
-
You have no power when you stand like that.
-
He knows that he you know and he retreats.
-
That is how to live. So these 3000 people bound him
-
with new ropes and he said you don't kill yourself.
-
You just promised me that you won't yourself kill me, said no,
-
no, we are not going to kill you.
-
We will just bind you with new ropes and hand you over.
-
So he hands them over. In chapter 15, you see that when
-
the people are all coming towards, rushing towards Samson,
-
the Spirit of the Lord came upon him with power.
-
And then Egypt one once, once he flexed his muzzles, all the new
-
ropes just broke. That's the power of the Holy
-
Spirit. And then this man is
-
disorganized, unorganized. The people like you know, those
-
who do not do their bed in the morning when they get up.
-
He is one of those guys. He does not want to be
-
disciplined in his life. So he had no weapon.
-
He is not prepared for it. So he had to not defend himself.
-
He finds a fresh job, owner of a donkey.
-
What is he supposed not to touch?
-
He is not supposed to touch a dead body.
-
Now here he is taking hold of a fresh jawbone of a donkey.
-
Why am I stressing on fresh jawbone?
-
If you drive to lose some of its weight, fresh jawbone is very
-
strong, heavy to the jawbone. Kill 1000 people, 1000 people.
-
You had to keep this in mind because in the next chapter,
-
sixteen 1000 people will be let go.
-
There's 1000 people like Gaza were not killed because he
-
pulled the gates and escaped from there.
-
If those people succeeded in surrounding him, you would have
-
want something he would have found and he would have beaten
-
to death the people of city of Gaza.
-
It is God's mercy that he allowed Samson to pull the gates
-
and escape. So this is Samson's life is very
-
important to me personally, very important to me.
-
Even though I have believed in Jesus in 1977, in 2010, God
-
spoke to me about life of Samson.
-
When I say God spoke to me, it is supernatural and not that I
-
am reading the Bible, not that I am listening to some message,
-
No, no, no, I was in prayer and the Lord spoke to me.
-
It's a self limiting behavior. I said to the Lord, Lord, what
-
is self limiting behavior? And he said it's like Samson.
-
He said what is like Samson and he rushed through my brain.
-
All the story of Samson supernaturally that happened
-
next day as well. And next day I am expecting the
-
Lord to speak to me. I put my hand on the bed.
-
I want to bend my knees and touch the ground.
-
Before that, the Holy Spirit said Samson became blind before
-
they removed his eyes. So I went on my knees and said,
-
please explain a second time the story of Samson rushed through
-
my brain by the Holy Spirit. Now this is very, very important
-
to me. The story is very important to
-
me. Why all of us?
-
I'm not excluding myself. All of us are like Samson.
-
We are a mixture of flesh and the Spirit.
-
If you are a believer, Holy Spirit is dwelling in you.
-
But we also are struggling with the sin.
-
The more we overcome sin, the more you become a powerful tool
-
in the hand of God. You have to overcome rest of the
-
flesh, rest of the eyes, pride of life.
-
Then you become very powerful tool in the hands of God.
-
There are no two ways of serving God.
-
Sometimes He allows human flesh to dominate in some places, but
-
only to pull down everything. You can build a Tower of Babel
-
that's only up to certain height, and then God will
-
confuse it. You can know you can.
-
You can do many things in human power, human power and strength,
-
but one day it has to come down. Why?
-
Anything that lifts itself against the knowledge of God,
-
God is going to destroy it and bring it down.
-
So here we have in chapter 16. What really happening in chapter
-
16 is that I also want you to observe in chapter 15 last
-
verses Samson LED Israel for 20 years in the days of the
-
Philistines. And again at the end of 16th
-
chapter it again says they brought him back and buried him
-
between Zorah and Estal in the tomba Manova, his father.
-
He had LED Israel 20 years 2 times.
-
Life of Samson is summarized as he led Israel for 20 years.
-
Why 2 times? They should say it only one
-
time. At the end of his story, At the
-
end of chapter 15, he summarized his life.
-
He led Israel for 20 years. That means the story already
-
ended there, story already ended there.
-
He, whatever he could do in a right way, he has done the end
-
of the matter. In Chapter 16 onwards, it is
-
going to be a different story where he is going to see defeat,
-
where he is going to lose his eyes, where he is going to be
-
imprisoned, where he is going to be mocked and where he is going
-
to be made fun of and he is going to die with the
-
Philistines. And again the story ends with he
-
led Israel for 20 years. The two parts, one part is
-
living for God, another part is consequence of sin.
-
So in this chapter we see one day Samson went to Gaza where he
-
saw a prostitute. That is a that is a bombshell
-
point. That is the beginning of fall
-
for Samson before when he saw the young girl from Timna and he
-
tells the father get me for for me, get her for me because she
-
pleases me. Father says don't we have people
-
here in our country Don't have your own people to look at and
-
marry. Why do you look at the
-
uncircumcised? And there it's written they did
-
not know that it is a Lord who is stirring him up to give him
-
seek an opportunity to fight the Philistines.
-
But here it is not that. Here it is he wanting to fall in
-
sin, deliberate sin, deliberate sin.
-
To marry is not wrong, but to go to prostitute is wrong.
-
That is how the Holy Spirit is enlightening.
-
Here He went, he saw a prostitute, He went in to spend
-
the night with her. The people of Gaza were told
-
Samson is here, so they surrounded the place and lay in
-
wait for him all night at the city gate.
-
So they are waiting, but they said, OK, it is very, very dark
-
in this night. Let's not attack him.
-
We will wait for him to come through the city gate in the
-
morning. Once the gates are open, he is
-
going to go out. We will fight him and we will
-
kill him. Here they are waiting in all
-
night. They did not sleep, but this
-
man, he got up in the middle of the night.
-
What does it say here? They made no mood in the night,
-
saying at dawn will kill him. Verse 3 But Samson lay there
-
only until the middle of the night, say middle of the night.
-
This is living life in the flesh.
-
He was wanting to be secure. He want to enjoy life.
-
At the same time he want to be safe.
-
He said OK, they may plan to attack me in the morning, but I
-
am going to get up in the night and go.
-
So he got up in the middle of the night and came and what does
-
he see there? This huge doors, 2 massive
-
pillars on the two sides and bolted by iron or bronze,
-
whatever it was into the thing. And the whole structure is kept
-
to keep the city safe, the Gaza safe, so that enemy cannot enter
-
straight into it. And nobody can go out also until
-
it is open to keep the people of the city safe.
-
And he is now imprisoned already.
-
He is imprisoned already by the gates.
-
But this man, he looks at it and the Spirit of the Lord came upon
-
him. This is mercy.
-
Is not Holy Spirit saying Samson, you are well done, you
-
have gone to a prostitute is really good.
-
No, no, no, it's not that. He's not approving it.
-
There is more to be done through this life of this man.
-
So the Spirit of God was overlooking at that point in his
-
mercy. He didn't touch him, he didn't
-
kill him. He said he used him, he used
-
him. That's a act of mercy.
-
And he goes and pulls the pillars out, the 2 doors along
-
with the pillars, side pillars. Now how heavy are these gates?
-
Ask me the question, how heavy is the gate?
-
These massive doors, the two pillars, they are made out of
-
probably cedar wood, massive tree.
-
And then the whole pillar must be about 90 centimeters
-
perimeter round massive pillars and they will be weighing at
-
least 750 kilos each pillar. Just an estimate, these are
-
based on the excavations at Lakish and other places where
-
they found other gates for the city.
-
Based on that, we are able to conclude that this could be
-
similar. This could be similar and the
-
doors will very thick, very thick wood and then it will be 2
-
doors, 2 leaves closing on together and bolted with metal
-
so nobody can easily open it and go out.
-
And the whole weight could be coming anywhere between 3000 to
-
4000 to 5000 kilos. Let's go moderately 4000 kilos,
-
OK, anywhere between 3000 to 5000, let's go middle 4000
-
kilos. How does he lift?
-
Because the two beams are put into a limestone and locked in
-
so that they cannot be shaken by any enemy, and it requires more
-
than one person to put them in the place.
-
Now here he doesn't have a team, he doesn't have a big machine,
-
nothing. He just goes, grabs it and pulls
-
it. Whole thing up, puts on the
-
shoulder. Can we see the picture here?
-
Anusha, can we see the picture here?
-
Is it may not be very clear, but there is one more next one.
-
This I liked for some reasons. This is more true to the Bible
-
story because you see long hair. He did not cut his hair in the
-
previous one, the short hair. So I think that is not the right
-
picture. This is the right 1 S You can
-
see the hair and you can see him completely carrying the whole
-
gates, 4000 kilos on his shoulders.
-
And then what does he do? He walks up.
-
Gaza is on the seashore. So when you measure the height
-
of something, you will say how high is it from the seashore?
-
So now he is walking towards Hebron.
-
I think I did not put the map there.
-
When you put the map there, you see Gaza on the, the on the
-
coast. And then Hebron is about 90
-
kilometers, No, no, 9060 kilometers, 60 kilometers to the
-
east. And in order to go, you have to
-
go up. The road is always up, not down,
-
not flat. So he goes up to the nearby
-
hill. And when you climb the hill from
-
there, you can see Hebron. So where did he go?
-
What is a hill? We don't know.
-
The Bible is silent about it. But when you geographically,
-
geography, when you go and study it, there is one hill that is
-
nearest is about 30 to 35 kilometers and farther that if
-
you go, you are entering into Hebron.
-
So he goes up and that hill is nearly 450 to 470 meters high
-
from the sea level, from Gaza to the top of the hill, 450 to 470
-
meters. That is about 60 to 70 Storey
-
building. Now you carry the doors and the
-
pillars and the pores, everything all, and it goes up
-
for 3035 kilometers all night. He must have walked into the
-
daylight and must have gone up the hill and dumped it there.
-
How much power is that? Tell me, how much power is that?
-
Why am I putting so much of time on explaining how strong is
-
Samson? Because I want you to look at
-
one more Samson, like Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who
-
carried the cross. He carried the cross.
-
That may be just 70 or 80 kilos at the most. 190 lbs.
-
No, no, no, 100, 4150 lbs to 75 kilos roughly.
-
So he is carried the wooden cross and he went up the hill.
-
He carried the cross up the hill.
-
Compared to Samson, you may think that's not a big deal,
-
it's just 75 kilos. But what he carried, Samson
-
cannot carry. He carried the sin of the whole
-
world. He carries, you know, the whole
-
world. How much power does Jesus have?
-
He is the Creator. In the beginning was the Word,
-
The Word was God, and the Word was God, and the Word became
-
flesh and dwelt among us. We behold his glory full of
-
grace and truth, and that Jesus is God Himself.
-
But he put it aside. All that is God.
-
He put it aside. That's what Paul says in
-
Philippians chapter 2. Put all that is God.
Philippians 2 chapter mention
-
He put it aside. And then He is carrying the
-
cross. But more than that, He was
-
carrying the weight of the sin of the whole world.
-
He was carrying the weight of the sin of the whole world, and
-
he went up the hill for you and me.
-
Samson carried the gate because he wanted to save himself.
-
But Jesus carried the cross so He can save the whole world, you
-
and me. Do you see the difference?
-
And Jesus has done so much, so much he accomplished.
-
And Jesus says, if I ask the Father, will you not give me 12
-
legends of angels? How many 12 legends of angels?
-
One legend in the Roman army is about 4000 soldier to 6000
-
soldiers. Let us again go in the medial
-
#5000 soldiers per one legion. That will be 60,000 angels in
-
the Old Testament. You have a story of Hezekiah
-
facing the army of Nebuchadnezzar and there were
-
180 thousand soldiers who came to attack the city of Jerusalem
-
and 1 Angel came and killed. How many people?
-
180 thousand soldiers overnight. In the morning you look only
-
dead bodies everywhere. One Angel killed how many
-
people? 180 thousand people.
-
If you have six, oh, oh, oh, oh, angels, how many people will
-
die? Nearly 11 billion people.
-
You got 8 billion people in the living in the world.
-
If Jesus asked today, Father, give me 12 religions of people,
-
angels, everybody will be killed and you still have 3 billion to
-
take care. Did Jesus do that?
-
That is the power, say, that is the power.
-
He did not use his privilege. He did not use His power to ask
-
the Father to send the religions of angels.
-
And that is the power. And compared to Samson's
-
physical strength, how how strong is Jesus?
-
The more you understand what Jesus did for you on the cross,
-
the more you will be able to worship him, the more you will
-
be able to love him. That is how we have to love.
-
That is how we have to worship him because we need to know who
-
is this Jesus? You know, sometimes we are
-
Christians for a long time, even when I was reading this portion,
-
16th chapter verses 1 to 3, I went into I was sitting in my
-
chair and praying. God teach me what does the
-
scripture mean? And then Jesus the Holy Spirit
-
put the thoughts into my mind about Jesus carrying the cross.
-
Oh, that was glorious because you know, like you chase a
-
rabbit hole. We call it.
-
So you chase a rabbit hole when when the Holy Spirit puts that
-
shows the rabbit hole, you follow it and then you see the
-
revelation just bursts out and then you go with it.
-
Your spirit is lifted up, your faith is becoming very strong
-
and you see light and the darkness leaves you and the
-
weakness goes. That is the work of the Holy
-
Spirit when there's a revelation happening in your spirit when
-
you read the Bible. So let's continue to see what
-
are the other things that he has done.
-
So he has carried it halfway, let's say a bit up to Hebron and
-
go up the hill and he dumps it there.
-
And that is the amount of power he had.
-
What is he declaring to the Philistines?
-
City gates stand for protection. City gates stands for control.
-
City gates stand for power. City gates stands for authority.
-
And they were trying to trap him with their authority, trap him
-
with their strength, trap him, limit him, finish him.
-
But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, devils power will not
-
be able to stop you. The power of the devil will be
-
cancelled because the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
-
But how many of us are wanting this power?
-
Do you want this Holy Spirit power so that the enemy can be
-
trodden down under your feet? That is who you are.
-
Jesus has carried the cross so that you can become a devil
-
Slayer. You can become master of the
-
devil. You can become one who can put
-
the Saturn and all the Kingdom of darkness to flight. 1 Man
-
with the help of the with the help of God can chase 1000
-
people. So if you can chase 1000 demons,
-
glory to God. That's what God wants to do
-
through you. He carried the gates to save
-
himself, but Jesus carried the cross so that you can become a
-
Samson, so that you can become a Samson.
-
But the church is sleeping. Church is sleeping.
-
When I say church is sleeping, I am not excluding myself.
-
I am also challenged to believe more, to believe more, to have
-
faith, more faith. That's what I'm trying to do,
-
have more faith, have more faith.
-
And I think I have arrived at some point only when I begin to
-
pray for somebody and I'm trying to cast out the demon and the
-
demon is looks like it is gone. And next day they say the demon
-
is back. I say what did I do yesterday?
-
So we are growing in the Lord. We need to have that hunger to
-
be more of the Holy Spirit. We feel the more of the power of
-
the Holy Spirit and I tell you we should become like Samson who
-
whose name you know we have. We have a saying in in our
-
Indian language that when elephant dreams of a lion, it
-
dies, his heart stops. If the elephant gets a dream of
-
a lion, it is heart stops, it dies.
-
They will should dream of you and die.
-
One second He close his eyes and he sees in the dream who is
-
coming, how woman is coming die. What a glorious thing that Jesus
-
has done for us. He wants everyone of us to
-
become like a Samson. That's why he went to the cross.
-
And then, Oh my goodness, thank you, Lord.
-
So when, when he's carrying the curve, when he's carrying the
-
gates to up the hill, what is he trying to tell him?
-
Tell the Philistines. He's telling the Philistines.
-
What is your strength? I am declaring it as weakness.
-
What is your power? I am declaring it as useless for
-
you because I have carried your whatever you put your faith in.
-
I am carrying them on my shoulders and dumping 35
-
kilometers away up the hill, not just on the plane ground.
-
What you're saying is my God is greater than your strength, your
-
God, my God is greater than your God.
-
They put their trust in their God, Dagan.
-
And during the in the book of Judges you see how Philistines
-
carried the ark of God during the Elis time and how Dagan got
-
the put and the dragon God fell down.
-
He was defeated already, and Samson is proving to them again
-
that the same God is alive and living and he will defeat them
-
again. And today Jesus Christ is
-
dreaming of only one thing, that you will defeat Satan.
-
You will defeat Satan. That's his plan and purpose.
-
When Jesus carried the cross, He laid down his life there.
-
When they crucified him on the cross, that blood that dropped
-
from his hands, from his brow, from his feet, from the side on
-
that rock of Golgotha. He has bought this earth with
-
his blood. He bought it.
-
Say he bought it. He bought it with his blood.
-
So you can be free and you will become a Samson.
-
The rights that Adam sold by eating the fruit to devil.
-
Jesus has cancelled it and took it back again.
-
And He is the King. He is the Lord when we are
-
worshipping Him, When you're singing to Him, there's no power
-
in our singing. Why?
-
There may be something in our mind that does not believe that
-
He is the King, is king of the kings.
-
When you believe it, that will show in your singing.
-
When you believe it, that show in our life, it will be seen.
-
You cannot hide it. Your faith will be seen by the
-
people around you. When they look at your life,
-
what do they see? Fear or confidence?
-
Do they see anxiety or courage? Do they see hopelessness or
-
faith? That will show your belief.
-
Your faith, what you believe about Jesus will be seen by the
-
things that happen in your life. When trouble comes, how do you
-
react? Sickness comes, how do you
-
react? The world is watching you, devil
-
is watching you, and we have to tell them.
-
The whole world will tell that we are not afraid.
-
So Samson humiliates Gaza, basically.
-
He has humiliating Gaza. The Philistines, he was
-
humiliating them. There are five cities, Gaza is
-
one of them. Ashkelon and other cities were
-
there. So he was humiliating them.
-
He was taunting the security. He was showing the identity of a
-
child of God who is a child of God.
-
He's showing them, hey Yahweh, most powerful one, I am his
-
servant. By ripping them out, Samson
-
symbolically says your strength cannot contain me.
-
What do we tell the devil in the morning?
-
Do we tell him you cannot touch me?
-
Do we tell him that you are defeated?
-
Do we tell him that he is useless?
-
Or are we going to say, oh, today, just don't touch me
-
today, Let me have a nice day. No, we are not bargaining with
-
the devil. One of the times we were, we
-
were trying to cast out a spirit and the demon was speaking
-
through saying let us make a deal.
-
And Sima was there and said you are not in a position to make a
-
deal. You are defeated.
-
We had to know who we are. We are the children of the most
-
high guard, King of Kings, Lord of Lord.
-
He's our father. And we don't bargain with the
-
devil. We kick him out.
-
We don't bargain with him, we don't bargain with him.
-
To possess the gate means what? In the Old Testament you have a
-
promise given to Abraham. Your children will possess the
-
gates of your enemies. That seed.
-
Your seed shall possess the gates of your enemy.
-
The word seed is referring to one seed Jesus Christ, One seed
-
Jesus Christ. And that's what Paul interprets
-
in the book of Corinthians. The seed is Jesus Christ.
-
So he is when he was carrying the cross up the hill and he was
-
crucified upon the cross. He was destroying the gates of
-
hell. He was destroyed the gates of
-
hell. He was buried and he rose again
-
during through three days that he was in the in that grave, his
-
body was in the grave. He went down into the depths and
-
he fought with the devil and he destroyed the Kingdom of
-
darkness and he rose up victoriously with the keys of
-
death and Hades. He is the king.
-
He is the king. The more you believe in Jesus,
-
the more your faith is strong. What is your idea of Jesus?
-
We have to change. Every day.
-
It should be better every day. The more it becomes better.
-
The devil becomes lesser and lesser and lesser significant in
-
your life. If he is trying to put his
-
finger and trouble you, that means you are not shown him who
-
you are. It is very simple like that.
-
There was a lady, a rich lady who wanted to go by bus long
-
time ago when there were not cars and everything.
-
She was stopping and standing at the bus stop and the dog
-
followed her and she saw after some time the bus is coming and
-
she said honey go home. The dog will it was wagging his
-
tail going round and round licking her feet.
-
After some time he said you go home now and it puts his tail in
-
his legs behind and ran to the house.
-
They will also will follow you like that.
-
You need to show him your power. You need to show him who you are
-
until he knows it. Unless you show it to him, he
-
will not know it. He will be around you all the
-
time, wagging the tail, licking your feet, jumping on your
-
dress. No, no, you don't want that, do
-
you? Do you want the devil to jump
-
around you all the time, playing with you?
-
No, show him who you are, stamp the feet and then he will run.
-
Cool. And then we see when he's taking
-
the gates and walking up the hill, what is he telling?
-
The Philistine says, my Lord has promised to Abraham and he is
-
the king. And we this land has been given
-
to us. He led us through the Red Sea.
-
He helped us to cross the Jordan.
-
He gave us the land. And we are going to rule here.
-
We are going to rule here. You are not the rulers.
-
We are the rulers. We are the ones who are supposed
-
to possess. But you know what?
-
Samson belonged to the tribe of Dan.
-
Everybody said Dan, tribe of Dan.
-
But he was a one man army. He had no followers.
-
The 3000 men who came with that day to tie him up and hand him
-
over to the Philistines, if they said OK, Gideon had only 300.
-
We are 10 times more bigger. You be our leader.
-
Let's fight the Philistines. Philistines would have been
-
finished that day, but the people surrendered to the
-
Philistines, 3000 people. That's what I said.
-
It's a shame on them and that is what happened there is because
-
of that, they could not have ruled.
-
And after the life of Samson, it's only for 20 years.
-
He ruled. He led Israel for 20 years.
-
That's a very small time span of time, but Jesus is reigning from
-
the right hand side of the Father until eternity.
-
He shall be there until the conservation of the all
-
creation. He is King and He is waiting for
-
you to rise up like a Samson. He accomplished the victory for
-
you. He fought the enemy for you.
-
He defeated the devil. He defeated the principalities,
-
powers, rules of darkness, wickedness in high places.
-
He defeated them snakes, coffin, all the powers enemy.
-
He defeated the dragon, the old serpent.
-
He defeated the devil or Satan so that you can walk like Samson
-
and let the whole world know that you are a child of Jesus.
-
So our identity should change. Our identity should change.
-
So when he carried the gates, he was telling them you are
-
finished, we are going to but what happened after the life of
-
Daniel Samson is the Dynates did not have a place of their own.
-
Joshua allotted the places he said now go fight and occupy the
-
place. They did not do it, so they
-
didn't have a place. The life of Samson is not a
-
success in that sense. If he helped his own tribe to
-
possess the land that Robin a story of success, but he failed,
-
but yet because of his faith in Yahweh.
-
His name is included in the book of the heroes of faith in
-
Hebrews 11. Because of his faith, even when
-
he was thinking that everything is hopeless, everything is gone.
-
Even then he believed the last last thing he did was when he
-
was his eyes were removed. He was making a spot of him.
-
They brought him into the Dagas temple.
-
He tells the boy who was leading him, please help me to feel the
-
pillars on which this temple is resting.
-
So I want to rest a little bit. So the boy, he was blind, he
-
took his hand, put on the pillar and another pillar.
-
And he said, God, Remember Me one more last time.
-
I want to take revenge for my two eyes.
-
And he pushed with all his strength, and those two pillars
-
were moved and the whole roof came down.
-
There are 3000 people on the roof, and how many were inside?
-
Maybe another 2000. So let me die with the
-
Philistines. That was his last words.
-
Should that be your goal or my goal?
-
No. We are here to conquer.
-
We are here to rule. We are here to demonstrate the
-
power of Jesus, the power of resurrection.
-
We have to demonstrate the power of resurrection.
-
I have not even started the message yet.
-
Already my time is finished. That is funny, isn't it?
-
So you can look at it from the angle of spiritual warfare.
-
You can look at it angle of how it can be.
-
He lifted what was meant to limit him.
-
He broke the limit. What are containing him.
-
He broke it, He carried on the shoulders.
-
That's what you are supposed to know.
-
What is limiting you and break it or uproot it.
-
Know what is limiting you, break it or uproot it.
-
And then the gates that tried to hold him became the proof of his
-
calling. Your trouble, that health, that
-
challenge that the devil is throwing at you is to prove who
-
you are to the world and to the devil.
-
You are not to crumble under the weight of your problem, that
-
financial challenge, that relationship challenge.
-
It is not to put you down. God wants to see you shine or
-
rise up in his power of resurrection and walk in victory
-
so the world will know that you are a child of God.
-
When God says walk out, no gate can hold you.
-
I want to give a very small testimony before I finish it.
-
There's a book called Heavenly Man that's about a Chinese man
-
who was put in prison for preaching the gospel and he was
-
in the jail but refusing to eat the food.
-
He said he would give the food to other people who are in the
-
inmates. Hey, you can have my lunch, you
-
can have my breakfast, you can have my dinner.
-
And he was fasting and praying 7080 days or something like
-
that. And one of the days, after many
-
long years of being in the prison, one day the Holy Spirit
-
says to him. Get up, go.
-
So he came out of the cell and he finds the guards and
-
everybody. He just walks.
-
He just walks. Everybody will be looking at
-
him. Do nothing about it.
-
And he came out of the jail and he came onto the road and he
-
took the help of some taxi and he went to his friend's house
-
and from there he was hiding and they were looking for him.
-
They couldn't find him. He took some different identity,
-
he flew to another place and then he saved himself.
-
Ultimately reached America, I suppose.
-
But what I am trying to say is when God says walk, devil cannot
-
hold you, he cannot hold you, He cannot put you down, He cannot
-
have the last laugh. No, it is you who will have the
-
last laugh. In the name of Jesus, shall we
-
pray? There's much to say, but I will
-
finish it there. Thank you, Lord.
-
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
-
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for taking up
-
the cross for us. Thank you for carrying the whole
-
burden of the sin of the whole world.
-
Thank you for you made a provision for our sin to be
-
forgiven and to wash in your blood and to become clean.
-
And we thank you because we are becoming carriers of the
-
presence of God. We are becoming the temple of
-
the Holy Spirit. We thank you Father, we are your
-
children. Thank you.
-
That is our identity. Oh, we praise you.
-
We praise you for setting your love upon us.
-
We deserve nothing but your wrath, but you set your love
-
upon us to save us. Be worship of Jesus.
-
If the Lord is challenging you to walk like Samson, if you are
-
saying, I want to overcome the lust of the flesh, lust of the
-
high spread of life, I want to be full of the Holy Spirit.
-
I want to be full of the power of resurrection.
-
I want to demonstrate the power to the world.
-
I want to see the blind eyes open.
-
I want to see the deaf ears open.
-
I want to see the lame walk dead raised.
-
It's your opportunity to pray that prayer right now.
-
Stand where you are and say to the Holy Spirit, come.
-
And when you walk around the church, don't say I didn't
-
receive the Holy Spirit. Believe that He has come.
-
He's a gentleman. You say come, he will not shall
-
think about it. You say, Holy Spirit, come, fill
-
me now, fill me now, fill me now, fill me now.
-
Believe that He is coming into your heart right now, not
-
tomorrow when you go home, when you see the Facebook, you see
-
the another thing, something on the TV.
-
Don't say I'm defeated, say I am victorious.
-
I shall trample down every temptation.
-
Father God, I thank you for the children who want to be like
-
you, full of the power of resurrection.
-
I want to visit them right now. In the name of the Father and
-
the Son, Jesus Christ of another, the Holy Spirit, I call
-
upon you, my Lord Holy Ghost, blow on your children right now
-
as you did on the day of Pentecost.
-
Let the cloven tongues of fire I light up on the head right now.
-
Come Holy Ghost, come Holy Ghost, come Holy Ghost.
-
Come Holy Ghost, Come Holy Ghost, Come Holy Ghost.
-
Let a glory come, let a glory come.
-
Let a glory come. Let a glory come, let a glory
-
come. Touch your children now.
-
Fall upon them now in the mighty name of Jesus.
-
Power release Holy Spirit and power be filled with the Holy
-
Spirit and power now in the mighty name of Jesus.
-
Thank you Father for failing us. Help us not to disbelieve it.
-
Help us to believe that it has happened.
-
Help us to walk in the light of the truth that we are your
-
children indwelled by the Holy Spirit.
-
We worship you, we praise you God.
-
Thank you again for visiting us this morning in Jesus mighty
-
name and everybody says Amen. Thanks for joining us at Omega.
