  1. Well, Father God, we just want to say thank you for the opportunity to be here today.

  2. To be able to gather as a church, to gather as a body of believers, and to worship you

  3. is an amazing and wonderful privilege.

  4. And Lord, as we gather, we simply pray and ask that your Holy Spirit would come and rest

  5. on this place, but more importantly, that your Spirit would come and rest on our hearts.

  6. And Father, we do not claim that we can do anything apart from you.

  7. Lord, we can't even worship you appropriately without your Spirit guiding us to do so.

  8. So this morning, Lord, we humbly come before you and we ask that your Spirit would be in

  9. this place, that it would be in us and God, that you would show us and teach us and guide

  10. us in how to worship you, how to give you glory, how to give you honor, how to give you

  11. praise.

  12. And Lord, we come humbly to give ourselves to you at this time, Lord, no matter what

  13. our reason may be to be here this morning, whether this is our church or whether we came

  14. to see someone be baptized or whether we just came to visit because there's something drawing

  15. us to you.

  16. God, I pray that we would all humble ourselves at the foot of your throne and once again

  17. invite you to be the Lord, the God, the King of our lives.

  18. Lord, we are such a small part of your creation and all that you want to do in this great,

  19. incredible, massive plan that you have.

  20. And Lord, even though we're a small part, you love us so much.

  21. And you have paid such a high price for us to include us in that.

  22. So this morning as we gather, we ask that you would teach us and show us and help us to

  23. become more and more like you.

  24. Father, for all of our brothers and sisters who aren't able to be here today, we lift

  25. them up to you.

  26. We ask that you would touch their hearts and their lives this morning as well and we believe

  27. and have faith that you can be with them now where they are, just like you are here with

  28. us where we are.

  29. From the physical to the spiritual to the special requests that we have, Lord, we give

  30. all these things to you.

  31. And in these coming moments, I pray that we would give you our focus, our hearts, our

  32. minds, all that we are would be yours for this short amount of time.

  33. Lord, we love you and we thank you and we ask all this in Jesus' name, all God's

  34. people said, amen.

  35. You may be seated.

  36. It's great to see you guys this morning.

  37. Very thankful for you being here.

  38. Welcome all of our guests.

  39. I know we have a lot of family who's come in to see family members get baptized this

  40. morning.

  41. We're so excited about that.

  42. Over the past several weeks, we have been talking about God doing new things of how

  43. we have this amazing and wonderful and perfect God who never changed.

  44. He never shifts.

  45. He never changes his mind.

  46. And at the same time, he loves to do new things in our world and us through us.

  47. We've talked about how he's made us into new creations.

  48. We've talked about how he's forced new paths, how he's used new methods and how

  49. he's done new works in us.

  50. And today, as we continue on and finish up, this is the grand finale, is talking about

  51. how God is, his goal, his plan, his purpose is to make all things new.

  52. And I think we forget about that a lot of times, you know, we move throughout our world

  53. and there are many good things in the world.

  54. I've talked about this before and, you know, there are so many good things.

  55. When God created the world, everything that he created, he said that it was good.

  56. And when he made people, when he created human beings, he said that it was very good.

  57. So it's not that anything in this world was not good, but we do live in a world that is

  58. very broken.

  59. And the problem is, is that we're the ones who broke it.

  60. You notice that when we sit here, we have a lot of questions.

  61. We have a lot of frustrations.

  62. You know, life doesn't always go the way that we want it to.

  63. And we like to sometimes in our immaturity, in our anger and emotions, we like to pin things

  64. on God, but we forget so many times that we have contributed to the brokenness of this

  65. world more than we would ever like to admit.

  66. I myself have sinned.

  67. I have hurt people, I have sinned against people, I have contributed more to the brokenness

  68. of our world and our community and even our church more than we would ever like to admit.

  69. And that's something that we have to come to the point in our lives where we see that

  70. and we understand it and know this morning that if you are sitting here, that God sees

  71. that the things in this world are not perfect.

  72. They're not as good as they should be.

  73. They were, but the world isn't perfect now.

  74. Sin entered into the world and all of us have played a part in it.

  75. And so this morning, if you're a Christian and you love Jesus and you're filled with the

  76. Spirit of God, it is very much possible for us to live in this broken world and it doesn't

  77. matter the situation and the circumstances of all that we have in our life, we can find

  78. joy and hope and peace in the midst of anything, whether we have much or we have little,

  79. we can have peace and hope and joy even in a broken world.

  80. And if you're sitting here this morning and maybe you believe in Christ but you haven't

  81. fully surrendered and maybe you don't feel that joy that I'm talking about yet and that's

  82. something that you want or maybe you're just like, I don't know about this whole Jesus

  83. thing and I don't know about Christianity, but I know the world's broken.

  84. I know life stinks a lot of times.

  85. I know it's very rarely the way that I want it to be.

  86. I want to encourage all of you this morning that the Lord sees that.

  87. He very much knows that the world is broken.

  88. And this whole idea and understanding that God wants to make all things new is something

  89. that we need to consistently remind ourselves of because there's some of us who see the

  90. world and it stinks and it's bitter and it's hard to live in and know that God wants

  91. to make all things new.

  92. And there are some of us who look at the world and we think, man, this is great.

  93. I love life.

  94. I'm very happy with what I have.

  95. Life is amazing.

  96. I have friends.

  97. I have family.

  98. I love being here.

  99. I can't imagine going anywhere else in life being any better.

  100. And to understand that you have a God who has everything in this world that even though

  101. it may be good, he's wanting to make all things new and he has something so much better

  102. than even that.

  103. We serve a God whose full intention and plan that involves us being saved and making him

  104. the God of our life and having eternal life and going to heaven is to make all things new.

  105. We got to remind ourselves of that for polar opposite reasons.

  106. And so this morning we're going to be in Revelation chapter 21.

    Revelation 21 chapter mention

  107. We're going to read verses one through seven.

  108. And as John is on the island of Patmos, this is one of the visions that God gives him.

  109. And as John writes, this is what he says.

  110. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared.

  111. And the sea was also gone and I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down from

  112. God out of heaven like a bride, beautifully dressed for her husband.

  113. I don't know about you guys, all you men in here, but I was 30 when I got married.

  114. There was many days where I was wondering if I would ever get married.

  115. And I'll never forget seeing Hannah come down.

  116. And the joy in that moment of what God had provided in my life that I'd prayed for

  117. for a long time was one of the most joyful moments I'd ever experienced in my life.

  118. And to sit here today and think about the world that we live in, if it stinks, then

  119. obviously you're looking forward to something better.

  120. If it's great, then obviously there's questions in your mind of like, how could heaven be

  121. better than the life that I have now?

  122. If you're that thankful and that joyful over it, know that God has something so beautiful,

  123. so amazing, something so much better prepared for anything that you could ever think, imagine

  124. or have in this world, it's that much better.

  125. Like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

  126. In verse three is that I heard a loud shout from the throne saying, look, God's home

  127. is now among his people.

  128. And in the next couple of verses, you see where God is basically recreating this idea

  129. of the Garden of Eden, where he is going to dwell among his people, he's going to walk

  130. with them, he's going to live with them.

  131. If you've ever been saved, if you've ever experienced the feeling of the Spirit in your life,

  132. to know what it's like to have God move and work, it is one of the most amazing

  133. things you will ever experience in life.

  134. And to know that God wants to bless you with that eternally, for you to feel and see and

  135. experience his presence for all of eternity is one of the greatest gifts, is one of the

  136. greatest highs, it's the most exhilarating, wonderful feeling you could ever imagine.

  137. And God wants to give it to you for eternity, not just a moment, not just a lifetime of a

  138. few decades, but for all eternity.

  139. It says he will live with them and they will be his people.

  140. God himself will be with them.

  141. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow

  142. or crying or pain.

  143. And you won't have to see me crying in front of you anymore, so that'll be good.

  144. And all these things are gone forever.

  145. And in verse five, he says, and the one sitting on the throne said, look, I'm making everything

  146. new.

  147. And then he said to me, write this down for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.

  148. And he also said, it is finished.

  149. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

  150. And to all who are thirsty, I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.

  151. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings and I will be their God and they

  152. will be my children.

  153. That is what we cling to as Christians.

  154. And this morning, if that doesn't at least make you excited or somewhat emotional, you

  155. need to look inside your heart and really figure out who it is that you belong to.

  156. That should give a joy and an excitement and an anticipation that is just beyond the ability

  157. to explain.

  158. And we got a lot of young people in here this morning and I want to tell you, I understand

  159. how extremely difficult it is to be like, yeah, I look forward to death.

  160. Like that's not normal, right?

  161. Even old people don't look forward to death, right?

  162. We don't look forward to, I'm getting old and I don't look forward to death.

  163. But at the same time, the older I get, the more I realize, man, the world is broken and

  164. screwed up.

  165. And there's a lot of hurt and pain.

  166. And it doesn't matter how good life is or how much you have or any of that stuff,

  167. there's just something within you.

  168. As long as we live in this world, there's something that we long for, that God plans

  169. to give us an eternity that will fill that hole, that we will only experience then.

  170. And as a young person who has your entire life to look forward to, I'm excited for you.

  171. As a church, I hope that the rest of the church is praying for you, as I'm praying

  172. for you.

  173. But I want you to know, your spouse will not fill the hole in your life.

  174. Your job will not fill the hole in your life.

  175. Your career, your possessions, family, friends, hobbies, nothing will fill those

  176. holes and those desires in your life.

  177. You think it will for a time and it may make you happy and smile for a day or a

  178. few, but everything gets old and you always want more and you always feel like

  179. you need more.

  180. But God can give us something that we desperately need.

  181. So point number one this morning is that God understands how broken things are.

  182. I think that's really important for us to see.

  183. We can look at the world, we can look at everything and see how broken it is.

  184. A lot of things need to change, a lot of people need to change.

  185. We ourselves, we need to change and we see that.

  186. This is probably one of the only spiritual things that you can rationalize.

  187. Like we know in our hearts, even if we have a good life, even if we have

  188. everything we could ever want or ask for, we look around and we know like God

  189. really needs to fix all this.

  190. We can see it.

  191. We know that because we know even if our life is great, we can see people whose

  192. lives aren't great.

  193. We can see people who struggle, see people who don't have that.

  194. We know God needs to do something.

  195. I mean, you look at our lives today, we, just the people inside this room, we live

  196. in the greatest country on earth, yet all we can see is the faults in it, right?

  197. It's true.

  198. It is the only, it's one of the only countries this morning that you could

  199. come and you can worship in and you don't have to fear this idea of someone

  200. waiting for you out there to do something to you for choosing to be in

  201. here this morning.

  202. And then if you wanted to this week, sometime you could go and you can

  203. protest against your government leaders and you have all these freedoms and

  204. you can do, you can move across state line, you can do all these crazy

  205. things and yet we're so unsatisfied with what we have and it's the

  206. greatest country on earth.

  207. We have clean drinking water.

  208. We have a pair of clothes because thankfully none of you are naked this

  209. morning.

  210. You have food in your refrigerator.

  211. You have water that runs out of your spigot that even though it may not

  212. be filtered, it's still drinkable.

  213. We're wealthier than 75% of the rest of the world and yet we complain

  214. constantly about what we can afford, how we're going to pay for things,

  215. how we're going to do this.

  216. We're constantly worried about money and we have more than 75% of the

  217. rest of the world.

  218. We have access to amazing health care.

  219. We complain about it.

  220. We take medicines to keep us alive and we complain about the cost of it.

  221. We have some of the longest life expectancies on earth and yet every

  222. time death comes, it's still too soon.

  223. Right?

  224. It doesn't matter if you live in a third world country and you have

  225. third world problems or you live in a first world country and you have

  226. first world problems.

  227. We all have problems.

  228. We all struggle because the entire world is broken no matter where you

  229. are.

  230. And as much as you love your boyfriend or girlfriend or spouse, they're

  231. also broken.

  232. You are also broken.

  233. Your parents are also broken.

  234. Your children will also be broken.

  235. We're all broken.

  236. God sees it and he wants to make everything new.

  237. Thankfully, we serve a God who understands this.

  238. In Hebrews four verse 15, it says this high priest of ours who is

  239. Jesus understands our weaknesses for he faced all the same

  240. testings we do.

  241. Yet he did not sin.

  242. Jesus came in the flesh and lived in our world to experience what

  243. it was like to be someone's child.

  244. So you get to experience what it was like to be a human being, to

  245. feel hunger, to feel pain, to feel betrayal, to feel rejection.

  246. If you were here Wednesday night, we talked a lot in our Bible

  247. study about how even his own family did not believe in him.

  248. His own brothers did not believe in him and they rejected him.

  249. Told him to go somewhere else and do his miracles.

  250. He understands how amazingly painful life can be and at the

  251. same time, how there are great moments that we cling to.

  252. You ever think about how like we cling to this life?

  253. Like none of us want to die, but at the same time, we'd say, man,

  254. this world's pretty screwed up.

  255. None of us are ready to die.

  256. Even if you claim to be a Christian, everybody's like, I

  257. want to go to heaven.

  258. I'm not ready to go right now, right?

  259. That's where most of us land, you have to be kind of weird.

  260. We cling to this world because there are good things in it and

  261. there are good moments in it and it's amazing what we're

  262. willing to put up with just to experience these good moments,

  263. these good times, these good things along the way.

  264. But these moments and these times and these experiences, these

  265. people who are good that you experience in life, they were

  266. never meant to sustain you for eternity.

  267. They are meant to give you a taste of what God has for you in

  268. eternity, that he is ready and willing and has already set up

  269. to provide for you if you're willing to acknowledge him as

  270. Lord and Savior.

  271. Point number two this morning, God is faithful.

  272. You know, one of the things that we see in this passage is

  273. that God says he is the Alpha and the Omega.

  274. He's the beginning and he is the one who is faithful.

  275. He's more than able to do all the things that he said that

  276. he's going to do while we ourselves are unfaithful.

  277. God is faithful.

  278. Think about that this morning.

  279. We're the ones who are unfaithful.

  280. It's like we love to pin a lot of things on God like we

  281. want to say that God's the one God.

  282. How could you let this happen?

  283. God, why is this?

  284. Why did this happen this way?

  285. Why is this in my life?

  286. Why is this happening to me?

  287. What's going on?

  288. God, explain this to me.

  289. You know, it's like we like to say, oh, God's in control.

  290. And yet when it comes to our own personal life, we are the

  291. very ones who says, no, God, you can't control me.

  292. No, God, you can't have this area of my life.

  293. No, God, I'm not going to surrender you and do this thing

  294. that I know and I feel in my heart that you're leading me to

  295. do.

  296. I'm not going to do it because I don't want to or I'm not ready

  297. or there's something else that I would rather do.

  298. And we love to say like, oh, well, God's in control.

  299. It's his fault.

  300. He allowed it to happen when we ourselves are the very ones who

  301. pull away from God and take control into our own hands.

  302. And then we want to put it on him like it's his fault when

  303. things don't go our way.

  304. It's a dangerous game to play.

  305. Because our God is faithful and the truth of the matter is this

  306. morning is is that everything that God has said that he was

  307. going to do, he is always done and everything that he says that

  308. he is still going to do, he will very much do as a believer

  309. in Jesus Christ.

  310. Part of submitting to Jesus is literally saying, God, I

  311. believe that not only have you done everything you said you've

  312. done, but I believe you're going to do everything that you say

  313. you're going to do.

  314. And we cling to that and we live our lives based off of that.

  315. There is no faith if you don't live your life based off of I

  316. believe Jesus is preparing eternal life for me because

  317. that's literally what we're living for and that he's going

  318. to take everything that we see and touch and feel now and

  319. he's going to destroy it.

  320. It's going to be gone.

  321. It's going to go away and he's creating everything new, new

  322. heavens, new earth, a kingdom where he can live amongst us

  323. apart from the sin that we've contaminated with.

  324. He's going to do creation all over again just to have us and

  325. be with us for all of eternity.

  326. That's what we're putting our faith in.

  327. That's why we surrender to the things of this world, not

  328. because God just says, well, are they willing to do this?

  329. Check, check, check, check.

  330. No, it's like the whole idea is everything in this world

  331. that we see, feel, touch, smell, taste, it's all going to

  332. pass away.

  333. And God is saying, do not cling to the things that are

  334. temporary, cling to the things that are eternal.

  335. Don't cling to this world.

  336. This world's going to pass away.

  337. Cling to the things that you cannot see because those

  338. things are eternal.

  339. God has plainly said everything, everything on this earth is

  340. going to fade away.

  341. And in John chapter 14, verses two through three, Jesus said

    John 14 chapter mention

  342. that there is more than enough room in my father's home.

  343. If this were not so, would I have told you that I'm going

  344. to prepare a place for you?

  345. It goes back to this whole idea is Jesus a liar.

  346. What do you really believe about Jesus, the God that you say

  347. you believe in?

  348. What do you believe about him?

  349. Is he a liar or does he tell the truth?

  350. Is he faithful or is he unfaithful?

  351. You've got to decide that for yourself.

  352. And Jesus said, I'm going to prepare a place for you.

  353. And when everything's ready, I'll come and get you so that

  354. you will always be with me where I am.

  355. That is Christ's greatest goal for you is to be with him.

  356. To walk with him in this world and to be with him on the other

  357. side for all of eternity.

  358. A lot of people love to pick and nag on all this like weird

  359. stuff and theology and things like that.

  360. God's greatest goal for you is to be with him.

  361. He simply wants to be with you.

  362. He wants to be with you now.

  363. He wants you to walk in fellowship with him and he

  364. wants to fill you with his Holy Spirit.

  365. And he wants to he wants you to be with him for all of eternity.

  366. And the whole thing going back to our focus passage in verse

  367. seven he says all who are victorious will inherit all these

  368. blessings and I will be their God and they will be my

  369. children.

  370. God doesn't just want you to be with him.

  371. He wants you to belong to him.

  372. He wants to take care of you.

  373. He wants to provide you to everyone who wants his I'll

  374. provide life giving water for all of eternity.

  375. And the last point this morning point three is is that we

  376. must all be made new to experience this new creation.

  377. Now in week one five weeks ago we talked about being made

  378. into new creations.

  379. And I think one of the most fascinating things about

  380. scripture about spiritual things is that basically they

  381. make circles and they connect and it's something that flows

  382. very organically in the way that we should understand it

  383. and see it and this idea about God making new things

  384. creating a new heavens and a new earth creating this home

  385. this place to prepare us for us to dwell with him for all

  386. eternity.

  387. The only stipulation is is that we need to come before our

  388. Lord and Savior and allow him to make us into new creations

  389. in order to partake in that.

  390. To surrender in such a way that allows God to work and

  391. move in us.

  392. Jesus has paid the price so that we can be made new and

  393. live with him in a new heavens and a new earth.

  394. We go back to creation who screwed it up.

  395. I did.

  396. We did.

  397. And this morning it's really important to understand that

  398. if God has taken this idea of creation that he created

  399. physical things in this world that we live in and he says

  400. man this was good when I made it it was really good.

  401. And if it because it's been contaminated with our sin that

  402. he's willing to destroy it and create a new heavens and

  403. a new earth.

  404. Why in the world would he spare the people who are the

  405. ones who contaminated it with the sin.

  406. And he is willing to spare us through the blood of Jesus.

  407. But if we reject Christ and we don't surrender to him we

  408. don't accept him as Lord and Savior we subject ourselves to

  409. the curse of the destruction of sin in this world.

  410. Jesus has set everything up so that you and I could be

  411. forgiven of that sin be made into new creations be made

  412. into new men and women with new hearts new minds which we

  413. talked about five weeks ago this important of just like

  414. being made new because you know this you know sitting in

  415. here this morning because so many of us do this like we say

  416. yeah I believe in Jesus I believe that he's Lord I believe

  417. in God I believe in eternal life and yet we are still the

  418. same we struggle with the same sins we say the same things

  419. we do the same stuff we hurt people to just the same it's

  420. like nothing changes in our lives but we say with our

  421. mouth that we believe and we say that we are this thing

  422. and yet none of there are some who are never transformed

  423. and the truth is is we need to get on our hands and knees

  424. and cry out to our heavenly father and beg him to empty us

  425. out of who we are and to fill us with the Holy Spirit so

  426. that we can be made new God's desire for you is to have a

  427. new heart to have a new mind there are temptations in your

  428. life that God does want to remove from you because I know

  429. people who have testified that they had addictions and

  430. that they had sins and they had temptations that was in

  431. her life and whenever they got saved and they give their

  432. heart to Christ God took those things away and so he's

  433. more than able to take them away and at the same time

  434. there are people that I know even myself included some

  435. of the things the Lord took away some of the things he

  436. didn't and there are still temptations and things that

  437. I'm drawn to in my life but the spirit of God presses on

  438. me and convicts me greatly and we should be praying God

  439. fill me with your Holy Spirit if you're not going to

  440. take this temptation away from me if you're not going

  441. to remove this desire for my life fill me with your

  442. Holy Spirit so that whenever I see it or act upon it

  443. or desire or whatever it is that it makes me sick to my

  444. stomach and my soul to do it because I want to be new

  445. and I want to be yours I want to belong to you and I

  446. want to experience eternal life with you in 2nd

  447. Corinthians chapter 4 verses 16 through 18 Paul

  448. writes to the Corinthians he says that is why we

  449. never give up you know in the early church they

  450. were writing letters to all these Christians and the

  451. Christians were struggling with a lot of different

  452. things a lot of different temptations a lot of

  453. different sins it's pretty crazy when you read some

  454. of the sins the early churches were struggling

  455. with but Paul says this is why we never give up

  456. though our outer bodies are dying our spirits are

  457. being renewed every day God wants to renew your

  458. spirit every single day God wants to give you

  459. strength and hope and joy and peace and he wants

  460. to carry you through this physical life to prepare

  461. you and bring you to the other side verse 17 for

  462. our present troubles are small and won't last very

  463. long yet they produce for us a glory that vastly

  464. outweighs them and will last forever so we don't

  465. look at the troubles that we can see now rather

  466. we fix our gaze on the things that cannot be

  467. seen for the things we see now will soon be

  468. gone but the things we cannot see will last

  469. forever that's hard to rationalize from a human

  470. perspective it's hard to sit here this morning

  471. and say especially the younger you are because

  472. you have so much more life ahead of you as you

  473. get older it's a little more to rationalize it

  474. because you realize a lot of the things that

  475. you thought you wanted that you got your hands

  476. on witness great as you thought it was going to

  477. be anyway but as a young person it's all in the

  478. vision it's all what you want it's all what

  479. you can have and you're dreaming and thinking

  480. and aspiring to things and you're making

  481. decisions right now in your life of am I

  482. going to base my life around things that I

  483. know I can actually get a hold of and

  484. experience or am I going to believe and

  485. trust in something that I cannot see that

  486. most people around me are not going to

  487. understand if you're a grandparent or

  488. a parent you should be praying for your kids

  489. and your grandkids and the young people in

  490. the church because it's a much greater

  491. sacrifice for them than it is for you as

  492. an adult they'll be giving up a lot of

  493. things and never experiencing a lot of

  494. things that we got to experience or

  495. chose to experience but that's part of

  496. believing in Christ is putting your hope

  497. and faith and things that you cannot see

  498. rather than in the things that you can

  499. see and that's hard we know the world

  500. needs to be made new we know our bodies

  501. are wasting away if you haven't hit the

  502. age of 30 yet you don't know it but when

  503. you hit 30 you'll know that your body is

  504. wasting away and it gets worse as time

  505. goes on but the only way that we can

  506. experience that new heavens and the new

  507. earth and receive our new bodies are to

  508. allow God to make us in new creations

  509. now 750 years before Christ came Isaiah

  510. was prophesying and there were so many

  511. prophecies that Isaiah that the Lord

  512. gave to Isaiah about the coming of Jesus

  513. and what eternal life was gonna look

  514. look like in Isaiah 65 verses 17

    Isaiah 65:17–19

  515. through 19 I want you to look at how

  516. similar this passage is to the passage

  517. we read from Revelation which was about

  518. 800 years later look I am creating new

  519. heavens and a new earth and no one will

  520. even think about the old ones anymore

  521. if life stinks and you're looking

  522. forward to God doing something you know

  523. that what is coming is going to be so

  524. much better you won't even remember how

  525. bad this was and even if life is good

  526. for you and there's a temptation for

  527. you to cling to this life know and

  528. believe this morning that what is

  529. coming is so much better that whenever

  530. you experience what God has planned for

  531. you you won't even think about this

  532. anymore it's that much better in verse

  533. 18 Isaiah says be glad rejoice forever in

  534. my creation and look I will create

  535. Jerusalem as a place of happiness her

  536. people will be a source of joy I will

  537. rejoice over Jerusalem and delight in my

  538. people and the sound of weeping and

  539. crying will be heard in it no more God

  540. is very consistent and God is very

  541. faithful everything that he plans to do

  542. he communicates very clearly he

  543. communicates at multiple times he makes

  544. sure that the people who are willing

  545. to listen gets the message and this

  546. morning you personally no one else you

  547. have to decide whether or not you are

  548. willing to listen whether or not

  549. you're willing to focus and put your

  550. attention and you fix your eyes on the

  551. things that you can see or the things

  552. that you can't see because everything

  553. that you set your sights on that you

  554. can see is temporary it will fade it will

  555. turn to gravel inside your mouth even

  556. no matter how good it is it cannot

  557. satisfy and fill the hole in your heart

  558. that is there only God can do that but

  559. the things that are unseen are eternal

  560. nobody in this room would raise their

  561. hand today and say I don't want to go to

  562. eternal life like if I could prove to

  563. you if I could say like yes you can see

  564. that it exists it most definitely 100%

  565. exist nobody in the room would raise

  566. their hand and say no I don't want that

  567. so the decision is are we going to cling

  568. to the things that we can see are we

  569. because the things you can't see are

  570. eternal but you have to believe you have

  571. to invest you have to give up things in

  572. order to have what Christ has always

  573. intended for you to have not just for a

  574. moment but for all eternity and it's

  575. going to be so good you won't even

  576. think about this anymore which one will

  577. you believe let's pray together father I

  578. thank you so much for the opportunity to

  579. be here today and to read your word and

  580. I pray that you would speak powerfully

  581. into our hearts and in our lives but we

  582. pray for the people who are coming to

  583. be baptized in just a moment I pray that

  584. you would speak to them you would make

  585. today this incredible impactful

  586. experience and Lord that you would draw

  587. them closer to you through this Lord we

  588. give our hearts and our lives to you and

  589. this morning we pray that we as people

  590. would not cling to this world or

  591. focus on things this world but Lord we

  592. would take that step of faith that leap

  593. of faith and we would begin to look to

  594. the unseen things to put our hope and

  595. trust in Lord send your Holy Spirit into

  596. our lives to help us do this father we

  597. love you and thank you and ask this in

  598. Jesus name amen
