Yeah. I won't try one.
-
Yeah, yeah.
-
Praise the Lord, Oh, I said. Praise the Lord.
-
Hallelujah. We want to thank God for His
-
faithfulness, for His love, and for His protection.
-
And we want to see. May His grace be sufficient for
-
all of us this morning. Amen.
-
Shall we be on our feet? We just want to pray this
-
morning and ask God of His grace that He shall release His grace
-
upon us this morning as we have come to His presence.
-
You and I will attest to the fact that God has been faithful
-
unto us. You and I will attest to the
-
fact that God has preserved our lives from first January to
-
dates. And this morning I can feel
-
within my spirit that we should ask of his grace, Thy grace, O
-
Lord. We need to do thy grace, O Lord.
-
We need to Lord. If you can't raise your two
-
hands onto the heavens. Nigra's love me.
-
Nigra's love me we need. Now shall you open your mouth
-
and speak in tongues? May you release your grace upon
-
us this morning. May you release your grace upon
-
us this morning. May you be gracious on to us
-
this morning. May you be gracious on to us
-
this morning. Oh Lord, may you be gracious on
-
to us. May you be gracious on to us.
-
May you be gracious on to us, Lord, may be gracious unto us,
-
may be gracious unto us, may be gracious unto us.
-
Lord may be gracious unto us. Lord may be gracious unto us.
-
Lord may be gracious unto us. Lord may be gracious unto us.
-
Lord may be gracious unto us. Lord may be gracious to us.
-
Lord may be gracious unto us. Lord may be gracious unto us.
-
Lord may be gracious unto us. May be gracious unto your
-
church. Lord may be gracious unto your
-
people. Lord may be gracious unto us.
-
May be gracious unto us. Shall we humbly resume our seat?
-
Oh, praise the Lord, Hallelujah. This morning.
-
The grace of God is here and anyone who is going through a
-
situation that demands the grace, the grace has been made
-
available. Praise the Lord.
-
This morning I want to speak on the topic, the reward of God,
-
the reward of God, the reward of God.
-
As you all aware, today's last of our Sunday.
-
This is the day in our church. It is set aside to dine with the
-
Lord. And so this morning is a great
-
day. It's a great day because God is
-
giving us the privilege to dine with him.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
And whenever we are celebrating the Lord Supper, the Bible says
-
we should remember the death of Christ.
-
When we talk about the death of Christ, we are talking about the
-
sacrifice Jesus made for our sick, the price he paid for our
-
sick. And the Bible says that he came
-
on this earth, He lived like an ordinary human being because of
-
you and I. And at the long run, the Bible
-
says he gave up his life to pay for our sins.
-
And when you read scriptures, Bible makes sense to understand
-
that Jesus came on this earth for a purpose, and the purpose
-
for which he came is to come and do the way of the Father.
-
So we can say that Jesus came on this earth to work.
-
Praise the Lord. Jesus came on this earth to
-
work, and his work was to come and pay the price of the Saints
-
of men. Amen.
-
The way he reads scripture, Bible says that when Jesus came
-
and then he completed his work, he completed his work and the
-
Bible says he died on the third day.
-
He resurrected and then he showed himself to his disciples.
-
When you read Acts chapter one verse 11, the Bible says that
-
after he has brought all his work on this earth to a close
-
and was being lifted, Bible says that is Act chapter one, verse
-
11. Men of maybe let's start from
-
10, let's start from 10. They were looking intently up
-
into the sky as he was going when suddenly two men dressed in
-
white stood beside them. Men of Galilee, they said, why
-
do you stand here looking into the sky?
-
This same Jesus who has been taken from you into the heaven
-
will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into
-
heaven. Amen.
-
Amen. So Bible is saying that when he
-
brought his work to an end and then He needed to go back to the
-
Father, the Bible says that there were witnesses and the
-
witnesses saw Jesus being transported, Jesus being carried
-
away into the heavens. And Bible says that as the
-
disciples and the men available or present were looking up into
-
the sky, the angels of God told them this same Jesus who is
-
being carried away will come back again.
-
Amen. So this morning I want to
-
announce to you that our Savior, the one who has saved us from
-
our sins, the one who has redeemed us from condemnation,
-
this same Jesus who has finished his earth, on his work on this
-
earth. And as a result of the work he
-
did, you and I have received, this same Jesus will come back
-
again. At times when we are saying
-
this, some people doubt it. Some people say we started
-
saying this same Jesus will come back again.
-
And it is 2000 years plus now. But this morning my mission here
-
is very simple. I care less whether you believe
-
it or not. My mission is to declare to you
-
that this same Jesus will come back again.
-
Amen. What is reward?
-
We are talking about the reward of God.
-
What is reward? One of the definitions maybe I
-
want to talk about. Reward is a thing, giving in
-
recognition of work, service efforts or achievements.
-
Reward is a thing, giving in recognition of work, service,
-
efforts or achievements. When you read scriptures, the
-
Bible says because of the work Jesus did on the X and was able
-
to complete it, the Bible says God has given him the name above
-
every name and that at the mention of the name of Jesus
-
every knee should bow and every tank will confess that Jesus
-
Christ is Lord. Amen.
-
So what it means is that without wake there is no reward.
-
Without wake there is no reward. The reason why Jesus has been
-
uplifted is as a result of the work He did on the earth and
-
completed successfully. So without work there is no
-
reward. If we are saying that without
-
work there is no reward, then maybe let's try to find out what
-
is work? What is work?
-
Some of the definitions I found that I want to share with you.
-
Work is an activity involving mental or physical efforts done
-
in order to achieve a purpose or results.
-
It is a task to be undertaken. It is to be engaged in physical
-
or mental activity in order to achieve a result.
-
You could see that all these definitions that I'm trying to
-
talk about, at the long run it is looking up onto a result.
-
So what it means is that the purpose of work is to achieve a
-
result. For example, maybe you are what?
-
A teacher? What is the purpose of your
-
work? Teacher tell us what is the
-
purpose? Of the purpose of my work is to
-
install knowledge and discipline into lengths is.
-
To install knowledge. So the point I want to put
-
across here is that every work has a purpose and at the long
-
run it is the results that we are looking at.
-
If I should give you the opportunity to tell us the
-
purpose of your work, we all have a purpose.
-
Those of us who are into accounting, they will give you a
-
different reason. But all or at the end of it all,
-
it is the result that we are looking at to achieve a result.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
This morning I want you to understand that all of us seated
-
here, all of us guarded here, so long as we have come to the
-
saving knowledge of Christ and we have accepted the Lord Jesus
-
Christ as our Lord and our Savior.
-
The Bible says we are the children of God and God has
-
called us to work. You see, when you read
-
scriptures, when Jesus completed his assignment and then he was
-
commanding his disciples, one of the commandments he gave them is
-
that go and make disciples of all nations.
-
And you could see that this instruction that he gave them,
-
it wasn't optional. It was a command go.
-
So what it means is that when, Oh yes, when you become a child
-
of God, the work that God has called you into it is a command.
-
It is not optional unless you are not a child of God.
-
Praise the Lord, unless you are not a child of God.
-
So this morning I want you to understand here that so long as
-
you are a child of God, God has called you to work for Him.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
If you read Revelations chapter 22 verse 11 to 12, Revelations
-
chapter 22 verse 11 to 12, he that is unjust, let him be
-
unjust still. And he which is filthy, let him
-
be filthy still. And he that is righteous, let
-
him be righteous still. And he that is holy, let him be
-
holy still. And behold, I come quickly, and
-
my reward is with me to give every man according to his work.
-
To give every man according as his work shall be, to give to
-
everyone according to his work. Amen.
-
Amen. So here you could see that when
-
John had the revelation and he was saying what he saw, he's
-
saying that he that is unjust, let him be unjust and and he
-
which is filthy, let him be filthy.
-
And you could see that he enumerated many people.
-
What I came to realize is that all these people that John
-
enumerated, they are working. Hello.
-
Those who are unjust, they have chosen to to do that work.
-
Those who are filthy, they have chosen that path.
-
Those who are righteous have chosen that path, and he said
-
that those who are holy, they have also chosen that path.
-
So what it means is that we have many paths, we have many works,
-
and all these works are in the presence of God.
-
It is not behind Him, it is not at the back of Him.
-
All these works takes place in the presence of God and so John
-
is saying that whatever category you find yourself in, keep on
-
keeping on. Amen.
-
And then the verse of he said, behold, I come quickly and my
-
reward is with me. So what it means is that
-
wherever you find yourself, you are going to receive a reward.
-
To give every man according to his work.
-
So here why is the work. As Jesus is gone, he has
-
committed his work into our hands.
-
In other words, Jesus has committed his work into the
-
hands of the believers. So the day you come to the
-
saving knowledge of Christ, you are ushered into the wake of
-
God. I want and I want each and every
-
one of us to understand is that what are you wake for God, or
-
you don't wake for God? You are working.
-
What are you wake for? God?
-
Working for God stands for holiness.
-
Working for God stands for righteousness.
-
And if you don't find yourself in righteousness and holiness,
-
you find yourself way in filthiness.
-
You find yourself In Sync. And I want to believe that that
-
is the reason why Paul admonished that we should work
-
on our salvation. God is expecting that as we have
-
come to the saving knowledge of Christ, you and I will work on
-
our salvation. Brethren, accepting the Lord
-
Jesus Christ alone is not enough.
-
Yes, it is good to accept Him. Yes, it is good to believe in
-
Him. That is not enough.
-
He has called us to wake for Him.
-
And so Paul put it this way. Maybe let me read it.
-
Philippians chapter 12. You can find it in Philippians
-
chapter 12 verse one to Philippians chapter 2 verse 1 to
-
12. But for the sake of time, I will
-
read only the verse 12. Wherefore my?
-
Beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence
-
only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
-
salvation with hear and trembling.
-
Not as in my. Presence only.
-
But now. Much more in my absence, Yeah.
-
I don't know what Paul was trying to talk about, but I want
-
to believe that he was addressing the problem of high
-
service. He said not only in.
-
My presence, but in my absence. You know there are some
-
believers when they need to work in the presence of people, their
-
work is different, but in the absence of people, the work is
-
different and one. Of the.
-
Maybe Bible characters we can cite as an example is Joseph.
-
You could see that. One Potiphar's wife wanted to
-
have an affair with Joseph. No one knew about it.
-
Joseph could have decided to have an affair with Potiphar's
-
wife and no one will know about it.
-
But Joseph recognized, Joseph saw that the work, the service,
-
the worship to God should be in absence and in presence.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
It's just like, let me use our church, for example, maybe we
-
are coming for a program and then I stand here and see, maybe
-
tomorrow I will not come to church.
-
If I say tomorrow, I will not come to church.
-
Some of you may not come because presiding idea is not there or
-
the pasta is not there. Have you done it before?
-
Oh Moncano cracker cry. That's why we call it.
-
Eye service or you know, software we say, or you know or
-
you know presiding who saw you know, so that whenever there is
-
the need for us to maybe get new officers or whatever the
-
intention is to get something to catch the eye of the leader.
-
So Paul says we. Should work out our own
-
salvation with fear and trembling.
-
And they're working out of salvation.
-
It is done in the presence of God, in the presence of men.
-
And even if men are not there, we should know that God is there
-
all the time, free car, free whatever bonuses, dressing
-
allowance, phone call allowance, and then what hospital allowance
-
and everything. And all he ask of you is, sleep
-
with me. Praise the Lord, we believe in
-
the Bible. And believing in the.
-
Bible is wake and God is expecting that whether rain or
-
shine, in every situation, whether favorable or
-
unfavorable, we shall believe in the Bible.
-
Amen. There is this evangelism song
-
which says one more day, One more day.
-
One Sanko. Sheba, praise the Lord.
-
So the Bible is the mirror of the believer.
-
In other words, it is the manual.
-
Of the wake God. Has called us into.
-
Amen. The next thing we believe?
-
In is the one through God that we shall not serve any other God
-
but Elohim, that we will be careful not to create other
-
goals for ourselves. The Bible says anything we love
-
more than God becomes our God. And in our dispensation, you
-
could realize that there are some people who have come to the
-
saving knowledge of Christ, yet they love money, yet they love.
-
They love their work. So much that if you put the work
-
and God for him to choose what he will choose the work, and he
-
will tell you that it is the work that feeds me.
-
That is true, That is true, but we shall be careful to believe
-
in the One through God, Jehovah, Elohim, praise the Lord.
-
We shall believe in the One through God.
-
What do you believe in? What do you love more than God?
-
Now we shall believe. And you see believing in the one
-
through God through a swag. It is swag on your Bible.
-
Bible says God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit,
-
the whole one. I told me be sagging away.
-
If you want to understand it with your human mind, if you
-
want to take care, you go crazy. And that is what Bible is.
-
Saying whether you believe it or not, God is the same as the Son,
-
is the same as the Holy Spirit, and that we shall believe in
-
only God. What is difficult in?
-
This your own is to believe. And you leave the rest for.
-
God. And some people will.
-
Worry themselves trying to understand.
-
Well, you see, when you believe so, Ujidiya, God himself, knows
-
how to. Take care of your.
-
Mental for you to understand. Amen.
-
We. Also believe in the.
-
Depraved nature of humanity, we believe that for all have seen
-
and come short of the glory of God.
-
When Adam was sinning, I wasn't there.
-
In fact, when my grandfather was doing his idolatry things, I
-
wasn't there. But the Bible is saying that I
-
have seen. The Bible is saying I have.
-
Sinned. The Bible is saying you have
-
sinned, and the work here is that we will accept that we are
-
sinners. Who bet?
-
She had to say. We are audible in praise the
-
Lord. You see, if you don't accept it,
-
if you don't accept it, you cannot accept Jesus.
-
Some people say. As for me, I don't think.
-
As for me, I don't commit adultery.
-
As for me, I don't commit fornication.
-
Some people will even go to the extent of saying that.
-
As for me, I always give arms. And he doesn't see the need and
-
the importance of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Until you get to the point of realizing that you are a Sinner,
-
you cannot and that one too is awake.
-
And that is the reason why why we go out to preach the gospel
-
or whenever we are going, we need to pray.
-
Because you see, for the person to accept the gospel that we are
-
preaching to him or her. It takes.
-
The Holy Spirit to convict. Hello.
-
It takes the Holy Spirit to convict.
-
And that is why it is very. Important Whenever we are going
-
for evangelism, we need to pray. November being the month of
-
aggressive evangelism, and it is expected of each and every one
-
of us to win at least a soul for God.
-
We need to pray. Before we embark on evangelism.
-
If you don't pray. And you don't take care before
-
you realize the Sinner will win you.
-
It's a sad of someone who went to a prostitute joint to go and
-
preach to the prostitute before he realized praise the Lord.
-
And you see, because of time, maybe I'll read the rest and
-
then we progress. The next one is the.
-
Savior, that because I am a Sinner, that because you're a
-
Sinner, the only one who can save me is the Lord Jesus.
-
The only one who can save you is the Lord Jesus.
-
That you will believe, and also your ejuma.
-
The next one is repentance after we have come to believe.
-
After we have accepted. That we are sinners.
-
And then we have come to the point of believing and accepting
-
Jesus Christ. After you have accepted Him,
-
after I have accepted Him, it is expected that we shall leave.
-
I cannot say we shall repent from our sins.
-
Hello, we shall repent from our sins.
-
You cannot accept. Him.
-
And then leave. Your old life.
-
You cannot accept. Him.
-
And do your the. Things you used to do before.
-
In our. Dispensation.
-
I have come to realize that there are some people who have
-
accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, yet they live like before.
-
If you come to the serving knowledge of Christ, if you
-
accept the Lord Jesus Christ, you must obey Him.
-
So before you came if you used to drink alcohol.
-
When you accept him. You must stop.
-
That is repentance before you came.
-
If you were into soccer beds, when you come, you must stop.
-
But what is so sad? Is that even in our
-
dispensation, the soccer beds? Last Friday.
-
I had a call from someone and then he was telling me that the
-
Sun kind of say okucha, soccer bets maybe.
-
And then he won 1.2 billion, 1.2 billion and.
-
Then he decided. To open a store for their mother
-
and their mother resisted and then he used all other means to
-
convince their mother and their mother resisted.
-
He. She said she's not interested in
-
any soccer bets Money. This is a guy of.
-
Less than 30 years. And he's working at.
-
Their bank and you know what's happened.
-
What culture soccer bets view Well, Kocha now Kocha I wouldn't
-
know a he used a client's money 2.6 billion.
-
No idea. Kocha Anayaka Anaya China too.
-
And then I was called to come and help.
-
Hello. Those of you who are seated.
-
Here who are into betting. Before we leave here, pray that
-
God will give you the grace to quit these things.
-
And even you see. No one will know that you know
-
in our dispensation and the Lotto and the Lotto now you'll
-
be there and they will call you Lotto number.
-
Saying I'm me, I'm wow. If you are down watching the
-
last money then something will tell you and that is where the
-
work is. That is where the work is in the
-
OBR. Someone who stands believes in
-
the Bible. You know waste your time you
-
just ignore it. Now someone who doesn't believe
-
in the Bible not is that personal?
-
No, no, GNO mean trap, mean trap, mean trap.
-
Oh, hello, hello. Can I see my handles who are
-
into soccer betting and betting the youth and they're crying.
-
You think one painful? Oh, are you here?
-
OK, wow, we're Trabida. Man was a summation.
-
Wow. We're Trabida, my brother Peggy.
-
You see if you are into. All these things and only I can
-
say working out your own salvation in absence.
-
No, no. One is seeing you.
-
Between you and your God now we shall repent and realize that we
-
have been justified and we have been sanctified by God.
-
If you're a madra. You're an armed robber.
-
You have killed 20 people. You have killed 30 people.
-
The Bible says that when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ and
-
you repent the moment you repent you that person, you have been
-
justified and you have been sanctified.
-
And this is the gospel And you see, when you get to this point,
-
you need to live a free life or be a with the ponies are now
-
video and hunting. No, no.
-
The Bible says when you accept Him and you repent, you that
-
person, you are just justified and you are sanctified and that
-
is the Bible. Tom Ribi at this time is very
-
simple. How can it be?
-
But that is it, and that is the Bible.
-
The ordinance of. Baptism and the Law Supper when
-
you come to the serving knowledge of Christ Jesus being
-
an example, the Bible says he allowed himself to be baptized.
-
Meaning that we are. Dead to sin and we live for
-
righteousness and the Lord supper that we shall partake in
-
the Lord supper, that we shall partake in the Lord supper.
-
And you see all these things that I'm talking about, These
-
are things that you have to be mentally, mentally hurt.
-
As I said, we are watching say Uber this Sonowaya, not some,
-
but all all. How can you be a Christian who
-
comes to church all the time, yet you don't partake in the
-
Lord Supper so. Should you die now?
-
Should you die now, one of the work expected of us is that we
-
shall live a righteous life and be able to dine with him on the
-
set. And the Bible says that he who
-
dies me with me on this earth, I will dine with him in heaven.
-
And then you, yes, you have accepted him.
-
Yes, you come to church, yet you live or you do something that is
-
preventing you from dining with him on this earth.
-
So should something happen and you die now?
-
How can you dine with? Him in heaven.
-
And so you see that all. These things demands intentional
-
efforts. And anything that.
-
Demands intentional effort is work.
-
Baptism gifts and. Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
-
Baptism. Gifts.
-
And the fruit of the Holy. Spirit, that you shall be
-
baptized by the Holy Ghost, that you shall receive the gifts of
-
the spirits, and that we obey the fruits of the spirits.
-
And doing all these. Things demands intentional
-
efforts. You cannot tell me that you are
-
a child of God and you not forgive.
-
You cannot tell me that you are a child of God and you live your
-
life anyhow. Hello.
-
There was one time a pastor who said that As for me, I don't
-
like preaching or forgiveness because me, I don't forgive.
-
Not in our church. Somewhere.
-
And then tighten. Offering tighten, offering
-
tighten, offering. It is wake.
-
There was this man who did not have wake.
-
In fact, he worked before and then he lost the wake and then.
-
Someone dashed. Him.
-
And that person is. A church officer, someone dash
-
him 10,000 Ghana 10,001 brew and then they dash him and head
-
down. And then you could see that the
-
reason why I'm saying you could see that the man was struggling
-
is because he came to pose a question.
-
And the question he came to pose me is that Edda.
-
Would be actually. 10,000 and also as a cemetery are tighter
-
now, hey? I'm saying this.
-
For you to understand that Adam Pony.
-
Hello. So you see that believing in
-
tithes and offering it is work. The moment you receive.
-
Your money that you need to pay, your tithes, that is when you
-
remember your problems. That is when you begin.
-
To do calculation, you remember that you must pay school fees.
-
You must do this. You must do that.
-
On this one. You have to be mentally strong
-
to. Comply at times.
-
It got to the point. That oh, let me borrow from it's
-
more your movie. Are you dig?
-
You dig, Am a tight Yeah, borrow Sarsi.
-
And we have such people here. At least the way you are
-
smiling, you are suspects. Some people they.
-
Believe they believe in tights, they do well in tights, but they
-
don't do well in offering. But you see, when you come to
-
the saving knowledge of Christ, we need to come to the point of
-
understanding that everything you have belongs to God.
-
When you get to this point, when you are paying your tithe, you
-
not struggle and when we are giving offering, you not
-
struggle. Even if they're.
-
Offering it demands that you give all your money and you walk
-
home. You not struggle in our
-
dispensation. It is difficult for a Christian
-
to give his money to support the work of God and walk home.
-
Look at what Wendly people are doing.
-
People work from Independence Square to Kasua.
-
Or not Africa. Swaggers to come and see
-
Chatawali and then walk back home.
-
There is no problem with it. But when you give your money to
-
support the work of God, you the same person with channel now?
-
Sorry not Jimmy CK. We believe in divine healing.
-
We believe in the second coming and the next life and then we
-
believe in marriage and family, maybe their marriage.
-
Let me talk briefly about it. We believe in marriage and
-
family life. We believe in male and female
-
marriage. We don't believe in male and
-
male or female or female, female and female.
-
We don't believe in human being, marrying an animal.
-
And also we believe that one man, one woman.
-
Can you repeat after me? We believe that one man, one
-
woman, if. I had a woman.
-
Now I'm alakai some people get married to one wife yet they
-
have side chick. Maybe be before you.
-
Came to the saving knowledge of Christ.
-
You you, you are married to two women.
-
The moment you come into this work and you repent, you must do
-
away with one. And the one you must do away
-
with is the second one, not the first one.
-
If you are not second one and I open up.
-
The Bible says. The first one is your wife, and
-
if you're able to do away with it, that is what we call
-
repentance. But if you struggle.
-
To do away with it, it means you haven't repented and if you
-
don't repent, it will be difficult for you to be
-
justified and it will be difficult for you to be
-
sanctified. It means you are living in your
-
own nature. Hello.
-
You know dispensation people are doing it and it is even coming
-
into the church. I said no one thing.
-
Some people are in the church, they are married, yet they have
-
their girlfriends in the church. Some of the ladies to you.
-
Know that this man is married and so now what talent and you
-
come to church. Hello.
-
Why do you do that? You are not doing the work of
-
God. You are not doing the.
-
Work of God when you read Matthew chapter 25, maybe let me
Matthew 25 chapter mention
-
talk about the specific work also.
-
Then I bring the way to a cruise.
-
So this one I just mentioned the the tenants of the church, which
-
summarizes the general work that God is expecting from every
-
believer who comes to the saving knowledge of Christ.
-
We have the specific work and maybe the Bible tests I want us
-
to read is Matthew chapter 25 verse 14 to 30.
-
Matthew 25 verse 14 to 30. It talks about the parable of
-
the talent. Because of time I will no read,
-
but you could see that the Bible says the master called three
-
people. From this you could realize that
-
there were many people, just as we have many people here, but he
-
called only three out of the many.
-
So you could see that these people, the master, gave them a
-
specific work. So should you bring it to our
-
church? The church leaders, like the
-
elder, the Deacon, the deaconess, the ministry leader,
-
the church worker, the drama, the keyboardist, the what?
-
Everybody who is doing something in the House of God.
-
That is the specific wake. I know from the scripture.
-
You could realize that when the Master called them He.
-
Gave them the. Talent.
-
After he gave them the talent, he gave them a specific
-
instruction. Go and.
-
Work. With it so on sets, they knew
-
why the Master gave them the talent from the beginning.
-
They knew. If they did not know, it is
-
different. Just like in our case.
-
I think last Tuesday I spoke about it when we met US
-
officers. In our case, before we call you
-
from among the people, we'll call you to the local presbytery
-
and then we'll interview you. Maybe if we are calling you to
-
become a Deacon, we'll ask you the work of the Deacon.
-
And then before you come, you will learn all these things.
-
We'll ask you that the tenants of the church who ask you Bible,
-
Scripture, and you mentioned all at the local presbytery.
-
Then we saw why are there. Then we push you to the
-
district. District will interview you
-
there too. Why are they now?
-
We push you to area. Area we interview, interview
-
you. If you pass there, then you'll
-
be ordained. You cannot tell me that someone
-
is a Deacon without knowing the duties of a Deacon.
-
Considering the processes that we go through before we ordain
-
an officer, you cannot tell me that.
-
So what it also. Means is that before 1 comes
-
into the specific work or the specific call, he knows his
-
duties are men. And then in our case, when?
-
You go through all these processes and then the apostle
-
who is going to pray for you or ordain you, he will ask you.
-
He will not just pray for you, He will ask you again and then
-
you respond, yes, I will do the Lord be my help.
-
So I am comparing this call to the talent that was given to
-
these three people. So you could see that in our
-
church, no one can just wake up one day and say, I am a Deacon.
-
I've never seen it before. No one can wake up.
-
And say I am an elder, no one can wake up and say I am a
-
presiding no. So what it means is.
-
That the structures are in such a way that before you come in,
-
you know. And then they pray.
-
For me. And they make me a Deacon, they
-
make me a deaconess, they make me an elder, they make me a
-
presiding elder, they make me the ministry leader.
-
And then when they pray for me, God is expecting that I work.
-
As an elder. As a Deacon, As a deaconess, and
-
I will make profit for him. What work am I supposed to do?
-
I say Deacon. It is expected that before we
-
come to church, you make sure the auditorium is set up,
-
everything is right. Because of that, I don't want
-
to. Mention, but we know the duties
-
of the Deacon. We know the duties, and those
-
are the works we are talking about.
-
Hello. Oh, are you here?
-
You. And then we are handed over or
-
we are called into the office. The Bible says that what the
-
Master gave them the talent. Two of them they worked and one
-
of them he went to hit the talent in the soil or in the
-
ground. And the Bible says that what the
-
master came and it was time for accountability.
-
The 1st 2 they gave account but the third one he said Master I
-
knew that. Can you project the comments of
-
the last person to me? Hello.
-
So what it means is that there are some of us who have been
-
called, we have received a specific call.
-
Is it that we are doing? Our things like the first two or
-
the last one. Now the question here is which
-
group or we are doing our things like which one.
-
The reason why I am bringing this to our notice is that.
-
The three were called. From among the many, just like
-
in our church, whenever we need offices, we need pastors.
-
We'll not go and fetch them from outside, but we'll fetch them
-
from here. So my mission this morning is to
-
draw your attention to the fact that whenever you are called,
-
whenever you are giving the specific wake, you are going to
-
give account of it. Hello, in other ways they raise
-
a reward for the wake. So when you read the Bible is
-
saying that when the master came and they gave account the 1st 2
-
they gave positive account and you could see that when they
-
gave the positive account, the master rewarded them.
-
The master rewarded them and then the last one when he came
-
to give the account, the master also did what rewarded him.
-
Hello. So why can't you do it or you
-
don't do it, you'll be rewarded. Amen.
-
Then the man who had received one bag of gold came Master.
-
He said I knew that you are a ha Batman.
-
Harvesting where? You have not sown and God and
-
you see this kind of people in their church when they become
-
officers, they are the type of people who always criticize the
-
church. When he was coming in, the
-
church was the church. He knew how the church was.
-
He didn't criticize. But when they criticize hello.
-
Harvesting where you have. Not sown and gathering where you
-
have not scattered seed. Please continue.
-
So I was afraid and went out and hit your gold in the ground.
-
See, here is what's belong to you.
-
Continue, please. His master replied.
-
You wicked lazy servant. So what it means is that any
-
person who fails to wake, especially those of us who have
-
received a specific call, whenever we fail to wake in the
-
sight of God, we are wicked. Lazy servant.
-
So you knew that I harvest where I have not soon and gather where
-
I have not scattered seed. Please pause here and let me
-
pass this comment. You see, let me tell you this.
-
There are some people in the church.
-
When they come into the church, their interest is is to come
-
into the leadership of the church.
-
I want to become a Dickie. I want to become a Dickens.
-
I want to become an elder. And some people, they try to
-
work their way out. They try to work in JBR.
-
So on the presiding, oh, let me go and give presiding a gift or
-
the gift in the paper. And now let me visit pastor.
-
I'm not saying don't bring me gift, bring it, I'll collect it.
-
But you see, the motive is what I'm talking about.
-
The motive is that I'll catch his eye so that they will see
-
that or Yemi Dick in a year or Yemi Dick in a year.
-
If you have this mentality, I want to tell you that when
-
you're coming. Wait.
-
Hello. I see such people when they're
-
coming. Open movie are on your shit now.
-
Open movie are you should know that you have taken
-
responsibility upon yourself. That's what I'm saying.
-
We have the general wake and a specific wake.
-
So I standing here as an elder of the church, I'm going to
-
receive a reward. For the general wake and I'm
-
going to receive the reward for the specific wake.
-
What a wake. Let me also say this.
-
Because of time, maybe I should rush.
-
I should rush, But please people of God, people of God, God has
-
called us to wake. Matthew, Chapter 20.
Matthew 20 chapter mention
-
Verse 1 to 16 Matthew chapter 20 verse 1 to 16 it talks about for
-
the Kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in
-
the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.
-
He agreed to pay. Them a denarius for the day and
-
send them into his vineyard. I believe you all know this
-
story, but here you could see that when the landowner called
-
the people to come and wake those he called, initially he
-
bargained with them on how much he's going to pay them.
-
And the Bible is saying that he called people at different times
-
and then during the closing of the day he called other people
-
to also come and wake at the end of the day.
-
The landowner paid all of them equally.
-
And then the one who? Bargained with the landowner.
-
Was unhappy with. Him and he was complaining, but
-
I came in the morning. These people, they just came
-
closing of the day. How come you are paying us or
-
you are rewarding us the same? What I want to tell you this?
-
Morning is that no one determines the reward you
-
receive from the Master except from him.
-
Hello. No one determines the reward you
-
receive from the Master. I will receive from the Master
-
except him. This one.
-
It doesn't matter when you came into the church.
-
It doesn't matter when you came to the saving knowledge of
-
Christ. What matters is that you have
-
done the work of the Master. Praise the Lord.
-
At times some people will be working in the church.
-
That's what a church. We have suffered for the Church
-
when you wait up then or by. I remember one time I.
-
Told you people here that if we don't take care a time will
-
come. God will bring people from the
-
back to come and take over and if you don't take care and it
-
get to that stage that is when some people in their church will
-
be memory. Hello.
-
This morning God has asked me to come and tell you that He's
-
coming quickly and as He's coming, He's going to reward
-
everyone according to His works. And maybe the last Bible.
-
Scripture I want us to take is Revelations chapter 14, verse
-
13. Revelation Chapter. 14 And I
-
heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Right, blessed are the
-
dead which die in the Lord from henceforth, yeah, see as the
-
spirit, that they may rest in their limits, and their works do
-
follow them. They are.
-
Give me the NIV. Let me see, let me see what this
-
is. Then I heard a voice from heaven
-
say, write this, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from
-
now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they will
-
rest from their liver, and for their deeds will follow them.
-
Hello. So what it means is that even if
-
we die in the Lord, our works will follow us.
-
Why will our works follow us? Because we shall be rewarded
-
according to our wakes, You shall be rewarded according to
-
your wakes. So this morning the Lord has
-
sent me to come and announce to you that He's coming quickly and
-
He's going to reward each and every one of us according to our
-
works. What is your wake?
-
What is your wake? Amen.
-
Shall we? Be.
-
On our feet. Let.
-
Me. Say this English assembly.
-
This morning. We should all know that God has
-
called us into His wake. Last.
-
Tuesday when we came to church, loss of a week.
-
When we came to last Thursday, we were 6IN number 66, loss of a
-
week. We are preparing ourselves to
-
come and dine with the Lord. We were 6IN number when I came.
-
Barbara, you were here on Thursday.
-
I think the office says you and I came.
-
I sat here alone. Barbara, what happened to me?
-
I was sleeping like something. In fact, when I was coming.
-
I was very tired. And then I knew I was.
-
Sleep yet? I came when I came to sleep.
-
And you see this call that we have been called into one.
-
I didn't finish my message, but you could see that when you
-
continue the Bible exalt us not to forsake the gathering of
-
God's people. And it is part of the work.
-
So whenever we agree that this week we are waiting upon the
-
Lord to pray and come and dine with the Lord and you stay in
-
the house, you have chosen that path.
-
And I've also chosen another path.
-
And it's all part of the work we are doing.
-
So if we should be measured by this, you could see that we are
-
not doing a good work. Hello, we are not doing a good
-
work. And should a master appear, what
-
will be awake? Mr. Oma will some you know such
-
restaurant. You know the kind of.
-
Work you are doing. I know the kind of work I'm
-
doing this morning, as the Word of God has reminded us.
-
I just want you to be sincere to God.
-
The Bible says that if you repent, He justifies you and He
-
sanctifies you. So what is important is that as
-
you have heard the gospel this morning, we shall repent from
-
any bad works. And if we repent, the Bible is
-
saying that He will justify and sanctify us.
-
As you have raised your two hands, I want you to confess
-
your works to Him. What kind of works are you
-
doing? If they are negative, confess to
-
Him. And as you are confessing, ask
-
Him to be gracious unto you. Open your mouth and pray.
-
Open your mouth and pray. Father, in the name of Jesus,
-
this morning we have come unto you.
-
We have heard your words. You have made us to understand
-
that you are coming very soon and You are going to reward us
-
according to our works this morning, as you have reminded
-
us. O Lord, we confess all our works
-
unto you, works that are not pleasant unto you, works that
-
does not end well with us, works that does not go with your way.
-
This morning we confess all his works unto you.
-
We pray that even as you have, we have had your way.
-
You shall be gracious unto US1 More time.
-
Lord, may you be gracious unto us.
-
Lord, may you be gracious unto us.
-
Lord, may you be gracious unto us.
-
Lord, may you be gracious unto us that henceforth we shall work
-
according to your will and your desire.
-
We shall work as you expect of us, that we shall not be made
-
pleases, but we shall please you at all times.
-
Lord, may you help us even as we confess, even as we admit, even
-
as we acknowledge that we have not work as expected of us.
-
We pray that your grace will speak for that you'll be
-
gracious and to run. So, Lord, and give us another
-
chance that we shall work for you, we shall work for you, that
-
we shall work for you, so that when you appear, we will be
-
worthy to receive a good reward coming today.
-
One of the reasons why you may work anyhow is the absence of
-
the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is with
-
you, He will teach you, He will guide you, He will remind you.
-
But when the Holy Spirit is not with you, you do your work.
-
Anyhow, we are asking the Holy Spirit this morning to come into
-
our hearts coming today.
-
To my heart, Lord Jesus coming into my heart, heart.
-
To my heart, heart. To my heart, Lord
-
Jesus Christ, coming to the To my heart, Lord Jesus, I
-
mean to say to my heart, to my heart.
-
Revelations chapter 22 verse 11 and 12 He that is unjust, let
-
him be unjust still and he which is filthy, let him be filthy
-
still. And he that is righteous, let
-
him be righteous still and he that is holy, let him be holy
-
still. The.
-
Difference here is. The Holy Spirit, when the Holy
-
Spirit is with you, you shall be righteous and you shall still be
-
righteous. When the Holy Spirit is with
-
you, you shall be holy, and you will still be holy, but absence
-
of the Holy Spirit. You will be in the Church, but
-
you will be unjust, but you will be filthy.
-
And this morning we are asking Him to come in.
-
When He comes in, He makes the difference.
-
Come in, raise up your two hands.
-
We are calling on you. One who is able to make a
-
difference. He makes the difference.
-
He makes the difference. Shall you begin to cry on him
-
this morning? Call on him, invite him, call on
-
him, invite him. Spirit of the living God, we
-
follow you this morning. We invite you this morning.
-
I. The.
-
The. You see wonder Spirit of God is
-
not with you. You come to church.
-
Because of human beings. Wonder Spirit of.
-
God is not with you. You work to please people, but.
-
When the spirit of. God is with you.
-
You work to please God this morning.
-
We are. Asking Him to help us know His
-
ways. If we know His ways, we shall
-
work to praise Him so that I. There was this person in the
-
church who got angry with the leadership of the church, and
-
because the person was angry, the person decided not to pay
-
his tithe. Such a person is he coming to
-
church because of human being, because of God.
-
And we have such people in our mess.
-
It may be me, it may be you, but the good news is that when we
-
give ourselves to the Holy Spirit, He will show us His way.
-
Yeah. Lord.
-
The. The everything is your marry son
-
and I thought you can't change my life has said my soul of fire
-
that you do your I want a brother and a sister to come and
-
stand in and pray a touch of you can change my.
-
Life and. Change my life.
-
Hallelujah, you are my. Our.
-
Heavenly Father, we. Thank you for the opportunity to
-
come and listen to your way today.
-
Father, we have fallen short of your glory.
-
We can't boast that all the things that came this morning,
-
we are not part of it. We are guilty of our actions and
-
we pray the Lord God as your word has come, continue to fill
-
out with your Holy Spirit so that we will be strengthened so
-
that we will come out from our weakness and and stand for you
-
when the need arise. We pray the Lord God guide us,
-
strengthen us. Jesus, fill us with your
-
anointing and revive us so that we give glory to your name.
-
Thank you in Jesus name. Amen Lord.
-
We thank you for teaching us and reminding us of the work of our
-
salvation. Thank you for reminding us that
-
we need to be intentional about our salvation.
-
Thank you for reminding us that we need to fulfill your whole
-
will. We thank you, Lord, this
-
morning. Our hearts are open.
-
Our hearts desire. To do your work, to do your
-
will. But Lord, sometimes we don't
-
find the strength. Lord, we pray.
-
That you give us the. Grace.
-
You give us the enablement. From the inside to be able to do
-
your whole will the grace to read our.
-
Bibles. The grace to live a life of
-
integrity. The grace to pay our tithes.
-
The grace to be part of your people every time.
-
Pray the Lord, whatever thing that is holding us back,
-
whatever thing that is holding your people bound with the Lord,
-
you break everything by the power of your Holy Spirit.
-
Lord, do a work inside of us, transform us.
-
And Lord, from today, even as we are come to dine with you, let
-
us see a transformation. Let us see a change in our life.
-
Let us begin to gravitate towards Your will and let us
-
find ourselves beginning to do the things that we couldn't do
-
before. We know that your power, we know
-
that your grace, we'll do this. We thank you for that.
-
In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
