The Holy Spirit Will Come Upon You - Elder Emmanuel Adjei

Yesterday we were grateful to have our Father in the house to

speak to us, and yesterday we were happy to hear His word that

He gave unto us, which was caption.

How can it be? As I was thinking about it this

morning throughout the afternoon, How can it be?

How can God pick me from where I am into His presence and how can

God put me on His puppet to speak His word?

How can that be? It is all by the grace.

And as our Father said, when the grace of God locates you, then

things will begin to change in your life.

Hallelujah. Today we are talking on the

topic. The Holy Spirit will come upon

you. Hallelujah.

So this evening we are looking at the Holy Spirit will come

upon you, the Holy Spirit will come upon you.

So when we look at the Holy Spirit, we are saying that it is

the third person of the Trinity that we know.

So we are saying that God revealed Himself unto human in

three different ways. He revealed Himself through the

Son, through Himself as God, and through the Holy Spirit.

And this evening we are going to look at how the Holy Spirit will

come upon us. This evening we are grateful to

gather before God to prepare ourselves to put ourselves

together for the task ahead of us.

And yesterday our pastor made it clear on to us that before we'll

be able to move ahead or to accomplish the task that God has

put on our table, we need the Holy Spirit into our body.

And we are saying that when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, then

we'll be able to do all things because the Bible said that

through him he made all things. So this evening we'll be praying

and we'll be asking God to give us this Holy Spirit that he said

he's going to our Father. But when he comes back or when

he gets to our Father, he will send an advocate unto us.

He will tell our, he will tell God to send an advocate unto us.

And when this advocate comes on to us, he's going to teach us,

He's going to guide us. He's going to lead us through

all our endeavors. Hallelujah.

So this evening it is my prayer that as we have gathered here,

the Spirit of God will descend on to us, will empower us, will

equip us, so that the journey ahead of us 2026 will be able

when we come together to accomplish whatever God has

given unto us. Hallelujah.

So we are saying that this Holy Spirit is the third person of

the Trinity who proceeds from the Father and from the Son.

And this Holy Spirit is fully God, Hallelujah.

He is God because he came from the Father and he came from the

sun. So together the Trinity is God.

Hallelujah. Let's open to our Bible to Luke

Luke 1 · chapter mention

chapter 1, where our quotation is taken from Luke one verse 35.

So I read from the NIV and the Angel answered, The Holy Spirit

will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will over

shadow you. So the Holy One, so the Holy One

to be born will be called the Son of God.

Hallelujah. But this evening I'm capturing

my message on the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the

power of the Most High will over shadow you.

Hallelujah. This evening we are grateful to

be in the presence of God and as we have rightly read on the

board, the Holy Spirit will come upon you.

Somebody will ask how would the Spirit come upon you?

But when we go back to the Bible in Acts chapter 1, the verse 8,

Acts 1 · chapter mention

the Bible said that when the you receive power, when the Holy

Spirit comes upon you, and you bear my witness from Jerusalem

to Judea to the whole world. This was made possible.

After Jesus has descended into heaven and when he was moving

away, He told his disciples that they should go and meet at a

particular place and their duty there is to pray and wait upon

God for the discernment of the Holy Spirit.

Because God himself knew that the task ahead of the disciples

is not an easy task at all. He knows that the task ahead of

them, it's a difficult one, and he knew that because they were

human, definitely they would lack one thing or the other.

So he asked them to go and wait. And through their waiting Bible

said that the Holy Spirit came upon them and then they receive

it. And the Holy Spirit Bible said

that they give them power. And Peter and the other

disciples who were shy and who were not able to come out to

speak the Word of God Bible made it clear that after they have

received that power, they were bold enough to move out to speak

this evening. As we have also obeyed what the

Lord has said unto our for unto our leaders, And they have

brought it down unto us that we should wait before Him before we

kick this twenty 26th agenda. We should wait before God, seek

His presence, seek His guidance, seek His power, so that this

power and His garden and this authority will be given unto us

so that together we'll be able to move and accomplish what God

has said unto us this evening. Because we have been obedient

and we have come before Him. It takes my prayer that what He

did for the disciples when they were obedient, He will also do

unto us this evening. Hallelujah.

So in our prayers and in our waiting and in our fasting, we

pray and we believe and we hope that God Himself will open

heavens as He did unto the disciples.

He would descend unto us the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit,

that He has promised us that He is going to give unto us so that

together we will go and speak the word.

He said that in the verse 35 that the Spirit of the Lord will

come upon you this evening. This man pray that the Spirit of

the Lord will come upon us as we are waiting before him, as we

are fastening, and as we are praying that He will teach us.

He will guide us where to go, the direction we should move so

that we'll be able to accomplish every task that He has given

unto us. Yesterday our pastor made it

clear that the power of the most sad God will over shadow us is a

seal that is packing the Holy Spirit that He has given unto

us. Hallelujah.

And he said that when seal on medicines are broken, then they

are not, they are no more useful for us.

But this evening we are praying that the seal of the Holy Spirit

will come upon us, so that the power of the Holy Spirit and God

Himself will back whatever spirit or what the Spirit will

descend on to us for us to be able to move on.

So this evening the power of God as we are here is already

available and is waiting for us to speak and to ask and then He

would drop it onto US. Hallelujah.

This evening may the Spirit of God come upon somebody who is

ready to receive in the name of Jesus.

So through faith, you and I will be able to accomplish or to

receive the Spirit. We are saying that the Spirit of

God is being given unto us through faith because you and I

cannot work for it. It is not anything that we will

be able to end or work for it, but it's by the grace of God and

through faith that the Spirit would descend unto us.

So Galatians chapter 3, the verse #2 says that.

Galatians 3 · chapter mention

Let me ask you this one question.

Do you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law?

It is the question that do you and I receive the Holy Spirit by

keeping the law? No, you will keep the law and

will not be able to receive. Of course not, for the Holy

Spirit comes upon you only after you believe the message you have

heard about Christ. Hallelujah.

So everything that we are saying about Christ, the word that is

coming from these puppets, from other places that we hear, it is

true faith. When you believe, that is what

the Bible is saying, that the Holy Spirit, we do not end or

work for it, but it is true faith through the hearing of the

Word of God this evening. This man pray that as we hear

the Word of God and as we are obedient to the Word of God

through faith, this evening you and I will receive the Spirit

before we leave here unto our homes.

We can also receive the Spirit through prayer, through

scriptures, and through obedience, as I've already said.

So through prayer, as we are praying through these 14 days,

fastening and prayer, not only fastening and not praying, but

we have to act prayer and reading of the Scriptures,

studying of the Scriptures and obedience is also part.

As I said earlier on, when Jesus went away, he asked the

disciples that they should go and wait.

That is obedience. So this evening, as we have

been, we, as we have obeyed, and as we are waiting through our 14

days passing and prayers, this man prayed.

Our God, who has promised and whose wares are ye?

And Amen. This evening would descend the

Spirit unto us so that the Spirit will come and accomplish

whatever He has said unto us, that He will accomplish.

So that so as one verse 18, as I read already said, that when the

Spirit comes upon you, you receive power.

This evening. If somebody is here who lacks

power, who lacks strength, who lacks the zeal, who lacks the

energy to do the work of God, it is my prayer that this evening

as the Spirit is being descended unto us, this passion and this

power and this zeal will be granted in us so that we'll be

able to push the agenda of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hallelujah. Then when the Spirit comes upon

us, we have some effects of the Holy Spirit.

So let's look at some effects of the Holy Spirit.

So when the Spirit comes upon us, we are transformed or

transformation happens onto US daily.

So we have daily transformation. So as the Spirit has come upon

you, the Spirit is the package on its own.

We have the gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, so it has a

package that transforms us daily.

So we have to see this gift, this fruit of the Spirit in us

as we are saying that we have received the Spirit as we saw in

Peter and Paul, as we saw in sailors and the other disciples,

that they display the characteristics of the Spirit

that was in them. And people outside there started

pointing fingers at them and saying that really these are the

people of God. This evening it is my prayer.

As we are waiting before our goal and as we keep on praying

and reading the Scriptures, the spirits will come upon us so

that we see the effect in our daily lives.

We see the effect in our lives. At our workplaces, the effect

must be seen in our homes, the effect must be seen that this 14

days prayer and fasting will not be anything that we say.

We have checked, we have finished, but at the end of it,

we will see that the effect in the transformations has

happened. Hallelujah.

So we have to see a daily transformation by allowing the

Spirit to shape our character to resemble Christ.

So as I said, when the Spirit comes upon us, we'll receive

power, and then we'll use that power to do the work of God and

to transform our lives, our daily activities, so that people

around will see that indeed, these are the people of God.

So when the Spirit comes upon you, you yourself, you have to

allow yourself for the Spirit to shape you.

So there are things that people knew that you were doing

previously. They will say that indeed now

that you have accepted Christ and you are in Christ and the

Spirit is in you, you have changed and you have 10 and you

live Hallelujah. So let's look at some of the

things that we are believing and hoping that when the Spirit

comes upon us, it will transform our lives daily in our daily

activities. So when we read from Galatians

Galatians 5 · chapter mention

chapter 5, the verse 23, 22 through to 23 says that But when

the Spirit, when the Holy Spirit controls your life, so now the

Spirit has come into yourself, into your life, into your

livelihood, and the Spirit is now trying to shape you, is now

trying to turn you from your old ways into your new ways.

So the 22 is saying that but when the Holy Spirit controls

your life, there are certain things that people have to see.

Those are the effects that I'm talking about South.

These are the things that are supposed people are supposed to

see that it has transformed our lives from the bad to the good.

So when we read and say that he will produce these kinds of

fruits in US. So when the Spirit is in US and

when the Spirit takes control of our lives, then the Spirit that

is controlling our lives will bear fruits.

And these are some of the fruits that when we do or when we go

according to them, it will transform our lives.

It will transform our environment, our surroundings,

our workplaces, our schools, and wherever we find ourselves.

And the glory will be given unto us.

The first one is love. So when the Spirit is on you, it

transforms you and it begins to give you the spirit of love for

you to love, not the other love, but the agape love.

Oh Hallelujah, joy. Every time there will be joy,

even if you are going through difficulties, there will be joy,

peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.

Then the 23 is saying that gentleness.

So if in the past you were rough, you were somebody who do

not listen to advice, The effect of the Holy Spirit will change

you for you to be gentle in whatever you do.

Oh Hallelujah, self-control is also there.

So we are praying that when the Spirit comes on to us, this

effect will be seen not only by you, by the people around you,

for them to confirm, to say that yes, indeed, the Spirit of God

has come upon you. Hallelujah.

This evening, this man prayer that as we wait before God for

the Spirit to come upon us, for the Spirit to teach us, to guide

us, He will also give us this fruit of the Spirit or this gift

of the Spirit, so that our lives will be transformed.

Hallelujah. The second effect is that we

will serve God with our spiritual gifts.

In time past, we've had that people, a lot of Pentecost,

Church of Pentecost members will leave the church because God has

given them one gift or the other.

But we are saying that when the Spirit comes upon you and these

gifts are given unto you, we are supposed to use the gift to

serve the body of Christ. Hallelujah.

So use the gift to build up others and to advance the

gospel. So when the Spirit comes upon

us, the Spirit is not for you alone, the gift is not for you,

but the gift is for you to also help others, to build up others,

or to build up the church or the body of Christ so that together

we'll be able to accomplish greater works.

The last time I was saying that God was doing greater ways, but

He was doing it at a particular place at a particular time.

Yesterday our Father made it clear unto us that we have

received the Spirit and all the world have received the Spirit.

So as we are speaking about Jesus here at the other places

too, they are also speaking about Jesus, and through that we

are doing greater ways. So we are.

It is our prayer that when the Spirit comes upon us, we use it

to sell and build others and to also build the Church of Christ.

So in first Corinthians chapter 12, the verse 7 says that to

1 Corinthians 12 · chapter mention

each one of us the manifestation of the Spirit is given through a

common goal. So the Spirit has been given to

us through a common goal. And what are these gifts of the

Spirit? The first one we'll talk about

is in 12, verse 8. We are talking about the message

of wisdom. This evening we pray that God

should give us the message of wisdom so that we will be able

to know how to manage issues when they come on our way.

Then the message of knowledge is also another gift that this

evening when we pray we will ask God to give unto us, because He

said that when this gift comes it will help us to build the

body of Christ. So it means that when we come to

church and we are praying, we are worshiping and we do not

hear anything from God. It means that one part of the

body is dead. This evening we pray so that all

the parts of our bodies will come back to life again, so that

we'll receive from God and give unto the church, so that

together we'll build the church. So as the message of wisdom is

there, the message of knowledge is there, we also have the gift

of healing. We pray that God through the

Holy Spirit as we wait before Him who grant us the gift of

healing so that when we are sick and we enter into prayer,

wherever we find ourselves will be healed.

Hallelujah. So when we come to that 12 verse

10, he said that another gift that is going to give unto us is

miraculous power. So we are going to do miracles

as the disciples did. We read that even the

handkerchief of some of the disciples were were used to to

heal the sick and to raise the dead.

Living shadows. Some of the disciples when they

are going around and then their shadows fall on people who are

sick, they begin to receive healing.

This evening this man pray that God will give us this miraculous

power in this local church so that we begin to do marvelous

and powerful miracles. Then another gift is the gift of

prophecy. We saw our leaders prophesying.

Unto God. So the gift of prophecy means

that you see things that are in the future that are yet to come,

and then when you speak it to the church, then it helps the

church to position itself well to face whatever is coming.

These are all gifts of the Spirit.

Now this evening we pray that God will grant unto us the gift

of prophecy in escape Bidoo Worship Center.

As we wait, we also have the gift of distinguishing between

Spirit. So if you have different kinds

of spirits working in a church and God has given you this

spirit, I believe that it will help you and to help the church

to know how to distinguish between the spirit of evil and

in the spirit of God. It is my prayer that we'll

receive this gift so that together we'll be able to stand

and do the work of God. Another gift is that speaking in

different kind of tongues that we believe that God has already

given unto us. Then the last one I want to talk

about is the interpretation of tongues.

That is another great mystery and a great gift that God gives

unto his people. This particular gifts have have

think about it and I don't know I don't understand it, but I

believe that it is the mystery or it is one way that God works

through his people that somebody will speak in a different

language then that other person will interpret it into the

language that we hear. It is all by the grace and

messes and by the work of God. This evening we pray that this

gift that God is saying that he gives to his people to build up

the body of Christ and to build the church and individual who

will descending on to us as we wait before him as we seek for

the gift of the Spirit, as we seek that the Holy Spirit will

descend upon us so that we'll be able to move and do his work and

do it well. Praise the Lord this evening.

If you are here and this gift you don't have, then this is the

opportunity for you and I to wait before our God to pray.

Because all this gift that as I've mentioned, if the church or

individuals will lack this gift of the Spirit, that will make us

to be chasing people all around for pray for me and for other

things. But I believe that if these

gifts are working in the House of God, all our problems will

come into the House of God and we will receive answers unto us.

So this 14 days prayer and fasting, we shouldn't take it as

likely as any other thing that we always do at the beginning of

the year, but we should put much emphasis, much effort and much

Zealand seriousness in it. So that these things that we are

talking about, God himself will deliver unto us and unto the

church so that the body of Christ will stand as one whole

body so that one part will not die.

Because when we are praying and we are before God, we need to

hear the voice of God. But if you are not hearing the

voice of God, then it means this gift is not in us.

This evening as we begin to pray.

It is my prayer that as I have prayed for, God will descend

unto us this gift so that as he has said, together we'll be able

to move and do the work of God. Hallelujah.

We look at some people in the Bible who were filled with the

Spirit and they also use the way, the Spirit in their work

and in their doing. Hallelujah.

So the first person we look at is Peter.

As I've said already, Peter was one of the disciples that Jesus

said on you, I will build my church.

And we also saw that Peter was somebody who was always shy and

was afraid to speak in public and to speak in front of people.

This evening, if anybody is here who is shy, who is afraid to

speak in front of people, it is my prayer that as you go through

this fasting and prayers, God Himself will reveal himself unto

you, so that they would take those or that fear from your

life and put you on another level as he did for Peter and he

begin to speak the word of God. He said that so Peter received

the Holy Spirit and the day of Pentecost after Jesus ascending

into heaven. And from that on Bible said that

he continued to proclaim the word of God.

He healed thousands of people, and he brought thousands of

people into the vineyard of God through the gospel.

So Acts chapter 2, the verse one says that when the day of

Acts 2 · chapter mention

Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

As we have come this evening, This evening is my prayer.

The day of Pentecost will come this evening as we have all come

together as the disciples did so as they came together at one

place. Bible say that the day of

Pentecost happened and suddenly a sound like a blowing of a

violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house and

filled the whole house where they were sitting this evening.

May the Spirit of God comes from heaven and fill this auditorium

where we have gathered. Today is our day of pentacles,

and as I've said, we have come here to gather to pray and wait

for the infield of the Spirit as the disciples did.

Bible said that as they were guarded, the wind blew from

heaven and that wind fill the whole auditorium.

This evening made that wind blow from heaven and fill this

auditorium as we wait for him. The verse 3 is saying that they

saw what seems to be tanks of fire separated and came and rest

on each of every person. That is the Holy Spirit this

evening. It is my prayer that as we are

coming to pray before we leave this auditorium, each and every

person here will be filled with the Holy Spirit before we leave.

So the verse 4 is saying that all of them were filled with the

Holy Spirit and begin to speak in the tongue as the Spirit

enabled them. This evening will speak in the

tongue as the Spirit will enable us so that we energize ourselves

at the song that presiding said the Lord will revive us this

evening, even if this gift that I've spoken about is in US and

those gifts are dead. As we wait and as we pray our

Lord will give out the Spirit once again and the Holy Spirit

will revive us so that together we'll be able to stand and do

the work of God. The last person I want to talk

about South that we jail into prayer is Paul who was called

soul. So we are saying that on the

road to Damascus, it is there that he met Jesus Christ on the

way and the Holy Spirit fooled him.

He encountered the Holy Spirit on his way to to Damascus.

And we all know the story of Saul that he goes to take

degrees and go around and kill the children of God.

So on his normal duty, on his normal activity, as he was going

to do his normal job, Bible said that he encountered the Holy

Spirit this evening, made somebody encounter the Holy

Spirit as we have come here to pray, Paul encounter the Holy

Spirit. He came blind, but at the end of

the day, God sent somebody to go and pray for him.

So when we read Acts chapter 917 to 18, you will see that he went

and then he was prayed for and his eyes was open, and then he

began to do the work of God. This evening as we are waiting

before God, my prayer is that God will give us the Spirit and

give us the package that comes along with the Spirit.

That is the gift and the fruit of the Spirit, so that as our

lives are being transformed into His own likeness, our bodies

will also receive the gift of the Spirit so that we'll be able

together build the body of Christ.

So as the 2026 team says, that a church unleashed to transform

society through the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is my prayer this evening that as we wait before God, He

will grant unto us power. He will grant unto us the seal,

the energy, the gifts and the fruits of the Spirit, so that as

we have an unleashed to transform our society through

the gospel, we will be able to do that in the name of God the

Father and of the Son. And of the Holy Spirit she go

I want us to open our mouth this evening.

I begin to thank the Lord for the word we have heard this

evening. This is the best message you can

ever hear. At the beginning of the year,

beginning the year with Jesus Christ, beginning the year with

the Holy Ghost. We have been taught about the

Holy Spirit. This evening I want you to open

your mouth wherever you are and open your mouth and pray.

Thank God for the Word you've had this evening.

Open your mouth and thank Jesus for the Word you've had this

evening. Now we are entreated.

We are attached to speak and also walk with the Holy Spirit

at the beginning of this year. We are entreated to get to know

the Holy Ghost, to know the plans of the Holy Ghost for our

lives in this particular year. Thank you Jesus, thank you

Jesus, thank you Jesus. Father, in the mighty name of

Jesus, we thank you for your gospel, the gospel we have heard

today. Thank you, Lord Almighty, for

the one who brought the word unto us.

We thank you for teaching us this evening about the Holy

Ghost. You have taught us, Lord Jesus,

well, that we cannot begin this year without the Holy Spirit.

We cannot begin this year without the Holy Spirit.

We cannot begin this year without the Holy Spirit.

We cannot start without the Holy Spirit.

We cannot start without the Holy Spirit.

We cannot start without the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, Tara, we thank you so much for this.

We thank you, Lord, for this year.

powerful message. Lord Almighty, it's a

prayer song. Jesus as our

Elder was preaching, He made us understood that the Holy Spirit

is a promise given to us by Jesus Christ when He was

speaking. He made us understood that

because of this promise, the disciples did not go ahead of

the Holy Ghost to preach the gospel and to do the work of the

Lord, but rather they listen to what the Lord told them to do.

That is, they should wait for the promise.

And Bible makes us understand that when they waited for their

promise, all cowards. Cowards became brave, they

gained courage. There was transformation in the

disciples before they went out. What brought about the

transformation? A lot happened last year.

We used our strength a lot. But Bible is telling us through

our order this evening that the Lord is asking us to wait for

His promise. Waiting in another word means

prayer. To wait for the Lord means to

pray. So this evening, as we raise up

our lives and as we pray into the word that He has spoken unto

us this evening, we ask that the Holy Spirit should come upon us.

We are praying at the Holy Spirit should go before us.

We are praying that the Holy Spirit should come and leave in

us. We are praying for the

transformation of the Holy Ghost.

There are a lot that we did last year with our own strength.

There are a lot we did with our own understanding.

There are decisions we took without consulting the Holy

Ghost. I want you to open your mouth

and pray with faith and tell the Holy Spirit that you are here

this evening, that you are here this evening.

You are in His presence this evening.

He should take over. I want you to open your mouth

and pray and tell the Holy Ghost to take over.

Open your mouth and pray. Open your mouth and pray.

Take the Holy Ghost to take over.

Tell the Holy Ghost to take over.

decisions you are going to make this year.

God has called us into a life of victory and this victory must

been manifested every day, a daily life of victory.

When our elder was preaching, he made us understood that there is

something called the fruits of the Spirit and also the gift of

the Spirit. The fruits of the Spirit is what

he mentioned as love, as faithful, as goodness, kindness,

self-control. He made mention of all these

things, and these fruits is what is taking us to heaven.

This fruit is taking us to heaven.

But if we want to see a daily victorious life, we need to stay

glued to the gift of the Holy Spirit.

It is the gift of the Holy Spirit that gives us a daily

victory in your finances, a daily victory in your school,

academics, a daily victory wherever you find yourself, in

your marriage, in your family, a daily victory.

It is this gift of the Holy Spirit and Christians must not

be ignorant about these things. He said a lot about the gifts

and every person got called used this gift.

He made mention of Paul. Paul was able to descend.

Paul was able to use a lot of the gifts, so his day was

actually victorious in 2026. If our days will be victorious

right from today, we need to know the gift of the Holy

Spirit. We want to pray and tell the

Lord Almighty that as the Holy Spirit has come to live in US,

may He manifest these gifts. May He manifest these gifts.

And that gift is not something we will pray on it on a day, on
