Today is the 7th day of our fasting and this morning we want

to acknowledge the presence of our resident minister and the

wife in the person of Pastor and Mrs. Jose Acosa.

Oh, if you are clapping, do it better.

Amen. Amen.

This morning it has pleased the Lord to speak to us through our

own pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Osay Kosa.

Shall we welcome him with a clap of.

Praise the Lord, we thank God for today, and it's a very

beautiful day because we are life.

Amen. I started on Tuesday on how can

it be? How can it or how can this

happen? How can this happen?

And I am continuing that sermon. So let me go back to the

introduction so that in case you are not here, you'd still be

with us. You'd be In Sync, not out of

sync. Amen.

So we read from Luke 134 and 35 when the Angel was sent to Mary

to give her a very wonderful news that a Savior is to be born

and the Savior will come through her.

So let's read what is there from the New Living Translation.

OK let's pick it from there. NLT Luke 134 and 35.

Mary asked the Angel. But how can this happen?

I am a virgin. The Angel replied.

The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most

High will over shadow you. So the baby to be born will be

holy and he will be called the Son of God.

Amen. So by way of rake up in the

introduction, the phrase how can this happen is usually an

expression from humans when we want to respond in somehow

shock, disbelief at what we have had or what we have seen.

So it's a response of human beings to what is happening.

Mostly it's a question that we ask when things seem impossible

and we are believing that or we have been informed that it can

happen. So we are saying that mostly the

human mind cannot understand how.

How can this be So? That is how the humans or humans

we give that output or we express our doubts or sometimes

our curiosity at what God want to do.

So we started by saying I want to examine some of the instances

in context where some people use this expression when they when

there was the supernatural encounters or when God sent his

word to some individuals and in the underlying factor or the

answer to the question, how can this be has always been the Holy

Ghost, Amen is who the Holy Spirit, The answer has been the

Holy Spirit. So let us we started by

exploring some of the characters who asked the same question.

How can this be the first that we looked at was Mary.

The first was Mary. But today we will not go to here

again. We are going to the next group,

so if you want to listen to that one, you can go to the church's

account on Spotify, right? And then learn from what I said,

from what Elder IMA preached, from what Elder Amuzu and our

brother William Sherman, we've all preached throughout the

whole week. So you can go back and catch a

glimpse of what God uses to preach.

So the second group that we want to look at, when the Holy Spirit

came, or they were the axis, the people of Nazareth, the people

of Nazareth. Let's read from Luke 414 and

Luke 422, Luke 414 and Luke 422, still from the NLT.

Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit's

power. Emphasis.

Filled with what? The Holy Spirit's power.

Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region.

Let's go to the 22nd verse. Everyone spoke well of Him and

was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips.

How can this be, they asked. Isn't this Joseph's son?

Isn't this who just says, son, this guy, we all day here, we go

and buy, go back together. We have been doing things

together, right? You know, you can go come say

that you are somebody. How can this be?

How can this be that? The Spirit of the Lord is upon

me. Yes, I anointed me to preach the

good. How can this be?

Why? Because the people of Nazareth

saw him. He grew up.

That was where you He stayed. His childhood home He grew.

So when you went there now full of the Holy Spirit, they were

like Jesus, you are the son of Joseph the Carpenter.

So how can it be? How can it be there now?

He's saying that today this scripture has been fulfilled

right before your eyes, Jesus. So when you are filled with the

Holy Spirit, you will be a testimony yourself.

Yes, that is what changed because now the difference

between the Jesus they knew who grew from baby Jesus till the

age of 30 that He entered into His ministry life.

The difference is that now Jesus full of the Holy Ghost, filled

with the power of the Holy Spirit and the news spread about

Him. This two weeks as you are filled

with the Holy Spirit, may you be a testimony and may people come

and see that how can this be? This is you.

We knew you, you're Bokra and now you are becoming so why?

Because Jesus full of the Holy Spirit.

May the spirit power change people perception about you that

they used to think that you are this.

But when the Holy Ghost comes in, the narrative must change.

So the Holy Spirit is the game changer, the Holy Spirit is the

game changer. Just be full of the Holy Spirit

because a prophet has no honor in his own home and because of

that he couldn't perform many miracles as he used to do The

greatness in you as we are praying and fasting.

May the Holy Spirit catapult you into what Google says you are.

Hallelujah. Married to her identity wasn't

known. She was in obscurity.

And when she was filled with the Holy Spirit and gave birth to

Jesus and the Pope, the Most High overshadowed there.

She gave birth to Jesus, which in the entire world.

And now Mary's name is in every home, every city you go, you

will see Mary. As old as the name may sound, we

still use it to we, we, we still find it.

Why? Because she is blessed and

highly favored. When the Holy Ghost fills you,

your identity, your true heaven identity will surely happen.

Hallelujah. May our identity in Christ be

established as we wait on the Lord.

Amen. So the answer is the Holy Ghost.

The third group that we want to look at.

We'll look at it from Acts 27, Acts 27, and this one is the

people of Jerusalem. They too ask the same thing.

Acts 27, Acts, please look, you are at look, you are going to

ask and give me answer, not look.

This one was for the so they were completely amazed.

How can this be? They exclaim, these people are

all from Galilee. These people are all from who

Galileans were like, they weren't that recognized much.

So how can Galileans gain such international recognition?

Because at that time people, the Jews all over the world then had

come to the capital or to that city, Holy city, to celebrate

the feast of Pentecost. And that was the day when the

day of Pentecost had fully come, the Holy Ghost also came.

And when the Holy Spirit filled them as they were gathered in

that room praying and filled them and began to speak in other

tongues, everybody in the town or in the city had them speaking

their language, praising God. And Luke intentionally outlines

the cities from which they all came.

So it was an International Day of Jewish festival and they had

this evil. So we'll be speaking.

Let's go to ask you and let me show you how international that

occasion was, how international it was.

So that would take us to verse 8, to verse eight of us.

So you just keep. And yet we hear them speaking in

our own native languages. Please go, go on.

And these are the lists. Here we are.

So these are the people as far as from Mesopotamia, Judea,

Capodicia, Pontius, the province of Asia, Phrygia, Pomphilia,

Egypt, Egypt, Yahoo, our Egypt, now Mosala, Egypt and areas of

Libya, Muhammad, Gaddafi's, Libya, Cyrene that is from is it

from the northern part of Africa as far as Ethiopia, Ethiopia,

visitors from Rome, from where? Rome.

So we have the West, so Africa, Eastern Europe and then Middle

East and then Western Europe, Central Europe, craft flow by

both Jews and converts to Judaism move on saying Cretans

and Arabs, Arabs, Arabs, UAE, Dubai, for all those people,

Arabs, those from they were all there.

So we all have these people speaking in our own languages

about the wonderful things God has done.

How can this happen? How?

These are Galileans. They weren't schooled, they

haven't been to the school and they were living in the time of

Was the lingua franca and Latin was the official highly exalted

language. So somebody will be speaking

Latin, somebody will be speaking Greek.

Somebody who is speaking Arab, Arab.

When they speak, you can you understand, but they understand

Egypt from Libya, Africa, Africa, Africa I'm even thinking

So the Galileans they were Luke was very emphatic.

How can the people of Galilee, Peter not educated John and Co

OK when it comes to Matthew and those guys, but they could not

learn languages like poor dead. He was trained, he was schooled,

but these guys, they were not Peter makeup.

He'll be speaking typical Galileans and that region in the

Jewish thinking in their thoughts.

It was the neglected part. It was the people living in

darkness. Isaiah even said about it.

Let's go to Isaiah 91 and two and then see what Isaiah even

said about a people living in darkness have seen.

Nevertheless, the time of darkness and despair will not go

on forever. The land of what?

Zebulon and NAFTA life will be humble, but there will be a time

in future when Galilee of what? The Gentiles.

That is their name. Galilee of what?

The Gentiles and they give location which lies along the

road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be

filled with glory. Let us go to the two and see if

the people who work in darkness will see a great light.

For those who live in the land of deep darkness, a light will

shine. So that region, everybody who

came from that place, that was the Jewish mindset about them,

they were like, they were not there.

They were a place for dentals. But that is where God placed his

Son. That is where God Jesus preached

most. That is where Jesus performed

miracles. That is where he lived.

That to fulfill Isaiah 91 and two, that a people living in

darkness have seen a good light. And those were the places the

disciples were picked from. So now if you like, they were

like second class Israelites, anybody who lived there.

So they were not treated and they were term as people living

in darkness. And that region became where

Jesus grew up. And it was those people who were

the first recipient of the Holy Ghost on earth.

Isn't God so good? The neglected group Jesus showed

that chose them, walk with them, He empowered them and he were

they were the first recipient of the power of God when the Spirit

of the Lord was poured from on high.

So God is not interested in your excuses, because if he can

choose Galileans, uneducated, not schooled and ask.

Also, Luke gave us another account about the same group.

When they stood before the the courts or they stood before the

Sahandran, they observed that these guys, they have not been

to school, but they have been with who?

Jesus. So being with Jesus and with the

Holy Ghost, you are good to go. That is what would change the

whole thing. So if you are here and you have

any limitation, if you have any excuses, God is not interested

in those. But the answer is the Holy

Ghost. When the Holy Ghost comes upon

you, you will be empowered and you have international

recognition. I pray in the name of Jesus that

as the power of the Most High is overshadowing us, may we have

international recognitions in Jesus name.

Why Holy Ghost? That person was born in a Hut in

a hamlet in an obscure town where you cannot even find the

Google location on earth. God can pick you there and

project you to become a world figure.

That is what God he specializes in.

May the hand of the Lord fall upon us.

May His power over shadow you. So whatever God says you do,

believe it because he can do it. He can do it.

He can what do it. So Holy Ghost is the game

changer. The 4th person is Nicodemus.

Nicodemus, John 34 and John 39. Let's read from that one.

John 3-4 and John 39. What do you mean from Nicole

NIV. Let's try.

How can someone be born when they are old?

Nicodemus are. Surely they cannot enter a

second time into their mother's womb to be born.

Let's go to the verse 9. Then how can this be?

Nicodemus acts. So Nicodemus, Uncle Nico 2 acts.

How can this be? Then?

Jesus gives us a very powerful word.

Let's go to John. Let's go to the verse 5.

Let's go to the verse 5-6 and seven.

So Jesus answered very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the

Kingdom of God unless they are born of what?

Water and the spirits. Flesh gives birth to flesh.

The spirit gives birth to spirits.

Next verse please. You should not be surprised at

my saying you must be born again.

Let's end with the verse 8 please.

The wind blows wherever it pleases.

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from

or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of

the spirits. So Jesus is not telling

Nicodemus about the new birth. He was confused.

He was a teacher of the law. Nico respected man and he knew

that Jesus is truly from God. So he asked him Jesus saying

that what baffled the teacher of the law that it cannot happen.

Jesus gave the answer that the Holy Spirit, unless you are born

by the water and the spirits, so the water standing for the word

of the Lord and the Spirit, the Holy Spirit brings in US the

impossibility to become possible.

So if you take hold of God's Word and the Holy Spirit is also

overshadowing you, then whatever you think is impossible can be

born. Amen.

Hallelujah. This one.

It applies to every field. If you are in business and you

think that you cannot have 1,000,000 Ghana cities $1

million from your business, the answer is that water and the

spirits can cause you to see the impossibility.

Why? Because water representing the

word of the Lord. When you accept the word, the

promise of the Lord, the sure word of God concerning your life

and the Holy Spirit overshadows you.

Jesus can be born new life can come out, the impossibility can

come forth. If you believe in shout a bigger

Amen. If you want to go and do PhD, go

and do it because if you take hold of God's word and the Holy

Ghost is in you, you can give birth to that PhD you have.

You are afraid of If you want to then be a monaca.

So Nicodemus was. How can this be and Jesus gave

him the answer. Look at how Jesus describes

those who are born of the street.

They are not limited. They are.

No barrier can stop them. Wherever the wind blows.

Look at how Jesus says though the wind blows wherever it

pleases. You hear a sound so you feel the

effects but cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.

People cannot predict you anymore.

Why? Because you are.

Born. Of the threat, anybody who is

born of the street, that should be our lifestyle.

People cannot predict you because God can do it with you

much more than we think of you. So stop limiting God.

God and he's there. If you want to see his power,

don't place him in a box. Allow Him to be God and have

faith in Him because of our time.

Let me move on to the fifth group.

This is the Church of Pentecost. This church, this church that

you are in 1931 there was a small group that met at a cross

to pray a cross in Eastern region in when you are going to

Eastern you pass through, then you turn left, then you go you

go and meet Astra manga say then you turn left again you go or

you go and meet across. When you turn right, you go to

order. Hey, so I'm your macho say 01931

They met to pray and Reverend JS Zima not the JS Zima that we saw

the late apostle JS Zima his father after because I grew up

to see the late apostle JS Zimmer.

He was my area head in Ascot when we were according to the

full time ministry. So we sat with him.

I remember those words very well when he sat before him.

His father and apostle JS Zimmer leads now in COP is one of the

few ministers who has occupied all the five offices of COP.

He was called to be an overseer, ordained as a pastor, called as

evangelist, called as a prophet, ordained as apostle.

He's only one of the few who has worked through all the five

before he died. I think he died some few years

years ago at we went nearby his home at we neighbor.

So his father received the first prophecy about this church and

those words were confirmed again in 1940 at a convention, Easter

convention in Winneba with Windy Bay Winneba.

It happened there and eight years later, 1948 Corvordia

Eastern, it was confirmed. And these are the words that

they have captured for us from those 3.

So God's path, God will raise an international Pentecostal church

from Africa and the Gold Coast. Now Ghana was chosen and it will

be fulfilled through the ministry of a missionary from

Europe, a white missionary from Europe, Reverend James McKeon

1937. So when he came the group, God

assured us that through this small group, no matter how small

or big they are, they have been chosen to herald the second

coming of Christ and they will preach the gospel to every

place. So I have termed it for as a

mankind, see to the ends of the world.

If you and I were, they were like how can this be this small

group as a man gets it? Not even LA, not even Accra as a

man gets you. You have to travel.

Leave it. Look, look at the road now from

Accra through to in Salaam Adesu, across hey, and yet and

then putting nothing. It was very bad, but that was

the group that God chose and go through many trials and

persecution and many things has nurtured this week he told them

that he will nurture them to become a great Pentecostal

church with international recognition.

So if it were to be then the COP when we began Nya boy and Sam

buildings, the cathedrals, you go there and you'll be singing

hymns. Then this group comes from the

this small group from 1931 to 2026 to over 170 nations.

It's over even 18190 and we are establishing everywhere.

the church has suffered. The first breakaway came when

James Mccune. First he fell I'll two years

after he came, then he became I'll and they took him to the

Rich Hospital in Accra. Because he accepted he was

treated. The group could not continue

because they held the faith of no medication doctrine Chibentua

we have the CSE and the Apostolic Church Gold Coast.

Fast forward 1953, another sharp one came when the group from USA

Doctor Thomas Wyatt and his group came and they held

revivals in Akira, Kumasi and all these wonderful places and

there was abundant gifts and everything.

Then the church, the mother church in UK through some other

things beneath an individual, Emmanuel maybe severed ties with

James Maquin. That James Maquin cannot be

fight against Maquin. He was sacked by his church that

sent him to Ghana. So there was another African

group from the Apostolic Church, Gold Coast that brought him back

to Ghana. That he is still our missionary

and those group is what we now have.

The Church of Pentecost and the other Apostolic that trace their

lineage to the UK Apostolic Church is now called the

Apostolic Church. Ghana.

So when this when the whole thing came, one is called the

Gold Coast Apostolic Church and the other is called the

Apostolic Church Homer. Gold Coast after independence 1

is now Ghana Apostolic Church and the other is the Apostolic

Church Ghana. So the whole thing got before

Doctor and Roma and he advised them that please just stop all

this Brua Brua thing, we are the most recent one.

So the Ghana Apostolic Church should rather adopt A new name

and leave the old name for those who trace their lineage to the

UK church. So history has it that 1962,

first August, whilst they were praying, the name Church of

Pentecost was adopted, the Church of Pentecost and that is

what we have been through up to NA.

And when it happened the other church that had the UK support,

they took over all the church buildings, mission houses,

everything they took over. So Reverend James Machion used

to write letters to the churches that you used to meet under the

Co countries to pray and whilst they were there, when they read

the whole thing they were just burst into prayer.

Holy Ghost. Shah Bah Bah Bah.

And there will be healing, there will be revival Before they come

back, they are on fire. And that was what led them to do

a lot of evangelism. So the Apostolic Church took all

the sorry 9 the beautiful things and we started from encountering

church buildings with roofing sheets, look at the heat and we

began from there. OJ today I can put it on record

that when we weigh those who have a lot of church buildings,

the Apostolic Church Ghana comes nowhere near us.

They don't come near us even look at here, the number of COP

church buildings within the Teteshi Ngua.

Look at here, how many of the Apostolic churches do they have?

You can count them. Why the Holy Ghost?

So if our four beds depended on the Holy Ghost and has built

this church to become an international church, we cannot

possess the nations without the Holy Ghost.

We need to possess with the Holy Ghost.

Hallelujah. So God, he has done it.

Now the COP is an international Pentecostal church with

giftings, natural gifts, spiritual gifts and God has

assured us that He also meets our financial needs.

So if you are in this church and you are struggling financially,

pray to God. God has to meet the financial

needs of the Church of Pentecost meets my also need.

That is what has LED God has raised businessman like my

group's chairman, Elder Nana Amoto Tobin and Cole.

God has intentionally because of his word, he has blessed them.

So the blessing and sign you to God can raise you up to become

such a mighty phone so that through you, you can meet the

financial needs. God through you can meet the

financial needs. So God is still building a

church. God is still building a church

and nothing He assured us of abundant spiritual gifts.

Don't say that you pour spiritual gifts on this church

and you look at the history if in fact you cannot study the the

the the ministry of the prophets in Ghana and will not mention

the Church of Pentecost one day. I think with a medical we we are

in a political season to medical Fanoa at the Symbol River.

All those the offshoot of the new pedico styles that we we we

call them the charismatic Duncan William.

He traces his route to the Church of Pentecost Kanishi

Kanishi, Kanishi Hayadenu and yet another one bio Kanishi.

happen within the year. But he was an elder, very quiet

within the church. So God will not give us gifts

for us to brag in COP. We don't raise anyone, be all

here super. Everybody is Obi, everybody is

special. Why?

Because we carry the Holy Ghost and when you come to church, we

evangelize you. You come to church, we baptize

you, we lay hands on you to receive the Holy Ghost, and you

receive the gift of Helena. You cannot come and tell you and

I say you are bigger than all of us here.

So in the church, humility is another important thing that

would take us far. All those who exalted

themselves, the Lord brought them down.

Go and check, go and check the history of COP Because of that,

I would have given you plenty, plenty.

You can read some of them from our PhD thesis.

He has outlined a lot of them, those from the prayer camps, how

they fell from from grace to grass at home.

I saw so church. What I am I am saying is that

how can this be? Look at the church that we are

in now. I was sharing that just

recently, 2009, whilst we were at PUC, so too we came to

Sacramento when we came. Now that I think that now they

have put up a very nice building.

When we came it was Apostle regular at Addison was the area.

Then we met in Sacramento Central when I entered I opened

my mouth and Tabudai 2000 and nine tabu.

modern church buildings. If not the Holy Ghost, who else

So I beg of you, you are in a Pentecostal church.

You are in a church that the Holy Ghost that God has a

will prune the church, He will prune the church so that the

church will become radiant and beautiful.

This church, you cannot stay in it and establish A cult untiming

We don't know how it will happen, you see.

So if James Mccune had children now, their children would have

come and said that this church belongs to her father.

So now the Church of Pentagon, if you look at it critically,

Muhammad dear, why dear? No family can claim that this

church is mine. No individual can come and say

that the Pentecost belongs to me.

It belongs to God and belongs to all of us.

Look at how God has. Shipped this church.

Otherwise there would have been barriers in the church.

So trust your life to the Holy Ghost.

Why am I saying all this thing? How can this be Abundsen for

abundsen? For if you read the account of

the mother of Apostle Addison, she became a very great woman in

this church. She used to attend the main line

where they sing hymns and her mother invited her to Church of

Pentecost. Like I saw you how?

I don't see a thing about the first time she entered the Holy

Ghost, you know, or she knew you look at the songs, over 100

songs that she received for the church.

In this church, there is a hidden truth.

Do things for God and God will bless you beyond your wildest

dream. Youth, let us know.

You people should pay us. You people should pay us all

those the Forbes, they didn't look out for reward, but now

look at their descendants. Go and check them, all of them.

They are blessed now why God will.

Take care of you. So As for this church, we will

find time, we will go into the history because there are many

things to be learnt. So sometimes when I sit back and

I look at the COP and I'm going to the locals and I'm seeing

things, I keep quiet and laugh. Why?

Because if you see that there is nothing new, another son, all

that we are seeing today. Oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

But the Holy Ghost is still in the church.

May the Lord of our fathers, the God of Pentecost, who took a

very small group from 31 and has made us international church.

May he also take hold of. US.

And project us into international recognition in the

name of Jesus. Hallelujah.

That is the church. Let me end with her.

And so we have another one. God says that he will also

ensure that no weapon, fashion against the church shall stand

and every tongue that rises up against the church shall be

condemned because that is the heritage, that is our heritage.

And so when you sit on social media and some people are

fighting COP chemical and funeral, they say chemical.

Weep for them because God will fight them, not us.

Don't worry your head. Leave them.

They don't know what they are saying.

Don't fight them. Do you know why?

Our chairman. They have been quiet.
