School teachers this morning, Oh, I sure do appreciate the Sunday school teachers.
-
What a blessing they are to the Bethel hole in his church. We're
-
blessed with the finest Sunday school teachers in the land, Sunday school teachers available
-
to this generation. What a resource we have. I love Brother Justin.
-
I thank him for his kind words. Whether roadecap is probably my very best
-
friend, I appreciate him. He is so faithful to assist me, and
-
he has never surred his duty or responsibility towards me as his pastor and friend,
-
and for that I'm eternally grateful. I could feel the love just radiating
-
from him as he testified, and I'm so thankful this morning we can feel
-
the anointing of the Lord here in this place. Doesn't it matter that the
-
anointing is present. I was listening to glennbeck Hall this past week and he
-
was talking about how there is a possibility that diesel fuel will be up to
-
ten dollars per gallon by the end of August. He said that will be
-
the national average, so in some places it could be even higher. He
-
said if things continue as they are again, fuel prices could just radically increase,
-
he said, gasoline let it unletted gasoline could increase. How many of
-
y'all remember when you pull up to the filling station and park beside the pump,
-
you had to choose between let it or unletted. The childer of this
-
generation do not understand what I'm saying, But you used to. You had
-
to be careful not to buy let it gasoline. You had to pump unlet
-
it into that newer car. And I cannot believe that fuel prices could possibly
-
be at that level by the end of August. There are things going on.
-
There's a shortage on fuel, they say. Glenn Beck said, we're
-
probably operating unto a thirty day to a sixty day window along the East coast
-
of the United States of America. I remember some years ago the Isaac family
-
would talk about in one of their songs, there's a shortage on this,
-
and there's a shortage on that, But there's no shortage of God's mercy,
-
and there's no shortage of God's love. And I'm so thankful this morning that
-
His grace is sufficient for us. And as I preached this past Wednesday night,
-
no matter what we face He has already been there, because he's the
-
God of the past, the present, and the future. How many of
-
y'all remember Sister Tracy testified about that. That just coincided with what I would
-
be preaching on voluntarily this past Wednesday night. So God is already there.
-
If the fuel prices are to increase to that level between seven for unleaded in
-
ten dollars for diesel, our Lord is our provider. We are not operating
-
on this world's economy. We're operating on God's economy. And he is known
-
by his people as Jehovah Gyrah. The Lord is our provider. He will
-
provide for his people. The Man of God said, I've never seen the
-
righteous. You need to catch that word. I've never seen the righteous forsaken
-
nor his seed begging bread. He's saying a lot there concerning the unrighteous.
-
But thank God, if you're a righteous person doing that, that is right
-
in the sight of God. He will take care of you. And also
-
dads and husbands, it is your responsibility to be provider of your house.
-
And now may the crickets previous, but you could be provider and protector.
-
And our heavenly Father is our provider and our protector. Amen, if you
-
have your bibles, will you turn with me to the look of Psalm.
-
May I direct your attention to the one hundred and seventh chapter, also verse
-
number nine of that same chapter. It is so good to see brother and
-
sister Burnett here this morning. I'm glad they found their way back. The
-
prodicals have returned to God as a perciful God. They don't smell like the
-
ben in a hog pin, though, so thank God that they're smelling good
-
this morning. Is everybody's smelling goods? You smell anything that don't smell quite
-
right on your neighbor. You know what I'm saying. That the producal son
-
went into a far country and found himself in a big style, in a
-
mess. But I'm so thankful. If the town drunk was to come to
-
night, or the woman of ill reputation was to come to night, the
-
doors of this church would be open. Could somebody say, a man,
-
we would love them unconditionally. Let's look at this. What may we stand
-
out of respect for the reverence of the Word of God. Psalm chapter number
-
one oh seven, verse number nine. The Bible says, for he satisfieth
-
the longing soul, and feeleth the hungry soul with goodness, you may be
-
seated, Brother Nathaniel Amos, Chapter number four, verses six through nine.
-
Brother Jesse Joshua, chapter number five, verses ten through twelve, reading our
-
text again, For he satisfireth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul
-
with goodness. All right, Brother Nathaniel, Amos four six through nine.
-
And I also have given you cleanliness of teeth in all your cities, and
-
walth of bread in all your places. Ye, Yet have ye not returned
-
unto me, Saith the Lord. And also I have withholding the rain from
-
you, when there were yet three months to the harvest, and I caused
-
it to rain upon one city, and calls it not to rain upon another
-
city. One piece was rained upon them, the other and the peace whereupon
-
it rained not withered. So two of three cities wandered into one city to
-
drink one drink water. But they were not satisfied. Yet have they not
-
returning to me, Saith the Lord? I have smitten you with the blastings
-
and mildew, when your gardens and your vineyards, and your fig trees,
-
and your olive trees increased, and the palmer worm devoured it them, and
-
the palmer worm devoured them. Yet have they not returned unto me, saith
-
the Lord. Okay, so the Lord was responsible for that shortage. The
-
Lord was responsible for that shortage. The fabine that came upon the people of
-
God are the ones that professed to be the people of God. The Lord
-
was responsible for their lack. Whether Jesse Joshua, chapter number five, verses
-
number ten through twelve. And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal and kept
-
the passover on the fourteenth day of the month that even in the plain of
-
Jericho. And they did either the old corn of the land on the morrow
-
after the passover, unleavened cakes and parked corn in the self same day,
-
and the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn
-
of the land. Neither had the children of Israel manner anymore. But they
-
did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. Okay,
-
if you were paying attention, you recognize this as another time within the national
-
history of the Israelites and their nation. And they had to work for their
-
food themselves. So y'all need to catch that. Pay attention. As I'm
-
preaching. I'm gonna be walking through some points. We're not dedicating a baby
-
this morning, so we're gonna go old school Pentecostal preaching. Okay. So
-
Psalm chapter number one oh seven, verse number nine, the Bible said,
-
for he satisfieth the longing soul and feeleth the hungry soul with goodness. Could
-
we pray, Heavenly Father, we love it, We praise you. I
-
thank you for the opportunity to be in the house of the Lord. I
-
pray that you would have known this thy servant, set a guard in my
-
mouth, and help me to say the things that you would have me to
-
say, nothing more and less a nornt the ears of this thy people,
-
that they might hear what the spirit saith under the Church has God through this
-
preach word, not my words, but Your word, the blessed Book of
-
Life. I pray God that these sayings would go below the shoulders, that
-
they would go into that heart, mind, soul, body, and spirit.
-
Pray that they would be more than hears God, that they would heed
-
what has been preach and what is written in this Word of God, and
-
being proclaim through your spirit, through the colleague God, what you've poured into
-
meet of me, pour into them. I pray, enable us to preach,
-
it, enable us to hear. I pray that we would depart this
-
place joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus' name. Amen, look at your
-
neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, have you had a biscuit labry?
-
Our text is found in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible. The
-
Book of Psalm is probably the most read book of the Bible, or at
-
least some of the writings in this book are the most read and quoted scripture
-
verses within the Divine Librarian. As you Bible readers read through the New Testament,
-
you will see where the authors of the New Testament and the Apostles and
-
the leaders of the Early Church, they quoted from the writings of Psalm quite
-
often. In fact, it seems to me, concerning all of the Schoolmaster,
-
which is the Old Testament, that the Apostles and the authors of the
-
New Testament writings referred to the Book of Psalm a lot lot more often than
-
they did even the words of the prophets. There's something about a song.
-
There's something about singing that people love. In fact, before the preaching tonight,
-
we're gonna have a lot of singing. We're gonna reach into the old
-
library and pull out to him books of yesteryear, and we're gonna sing some
-
of them old gospel songs. There's lyrics contain so much virtue, and the
-
lyrics resonate with us, and they're so relevant to us today here. Lately,
-
I've been listening to some of those old gospel classic songs, and I
-
realize how much people are losing by losing their grip own them old songs.
-
And I do appreciate the newly written songs, A lot of them I love.
-
I have a singing group now, that's my favorite singing group. They're
-
called Southbound. I believe it's two pastors. They're not of the holiness persuasion,
-
but you can tell that they mean what they're singing. I told somebody
-
a couple of weeks ago, I said, there's just something about the lyrics
-
of the songs of Southbound singing. I hope I got to name him right.
-
But you see, this book of Psalms is just one that is special
-
to so many people, including the New Testament. Writers. It has to
-
be right. I mean, you think about this. The writings that are
-
in this book, they were sung in the house of God. These songs
-
were sung in the house of God, so they have to be sacred songs.
-
These poems were writ to the people of God, so they have to
-
be precious poems of I know that throughout the Word of God we find where
-
there were songwriters, people that God inspired to sing a song. There's been
-
a lot of times, Brother Samuel, that my soul has been fed by
-
the lyrics of a song. I appreciated the brothers singing this morning. It
-
was food from my soul this past Wednesday night, when Sister Tammy would sing
-
that song Heaven, it won't always be a dream, but one day it
-
will be a reality. Earlier that day, the Lord had spoke to me
-
to ask her to sing, and it said, she will sing that song
-
Heaven, Oh Heaven. It won't always be a dream, but one day
-
it will be a reality. I didn't get anxious. I didn't get nervous.
-
I was not concerned at all that she would sing it or not,
-
because I knew she had heard from God, and I knew that I had
-
heard from God. And I know that God annoys people to sing certain songs.
-
In fact, Brother Chris Burnetkin just to buy and say when he first
-
hurts Sister Woods sing that song, he knew right then that God was going
-
to feel him with the Holy Ghost because just nights before he had had a
-
dream of him receiving the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues as the spirit
-
gives them utterance. So we know that God uses songs, does he not.
-
There's a lot of times that God blesses his people through the preaching,
-
and I'm so thankful that he does. I'm not a singer. Some people
-
like to hear me sing. I don't know why that is. But we
-
have been blessed in this church to have some wonderful singers that I've been praying
-
and saying, God, give us some songwriters. For surely you have blessed
-
us with skilled musicians and singers, and what we need in this generation.
-
There's another generation of unnaunted songwriters. You see throughout the Sacred real you listen
-
to people singing as you read these sacred writings. You see or you can
-
hear in your mind the song of Moses. You can hear the song of
-
Maryam, you can hear the Song of Hannah and the Song of Deborah,
-
and then a lot of times we utter the lyrics of the twenty third song
-
with a tune. We find slow songs used during the times of morning.
-
We find worship songs used during the time of offering praise to the Lord's sister
-
sevens. You will remember this great preacher of God, brother William Strickler,
-
used to say, I like a slow song too, And then he would
-
get a big smile on his face and he said, but I like to
-
sing those slow songs fast. He was one that just wanted to get it
-
and worship God. You see, brother William Strickler knew that the truth is
-
that or songs or songs administered to our soul. Look at your neighbor and
-
say, hey, neighbor, these psalms are manner for my soul, saying
-
again, these songs are manner for my soul. I believe we have been
-
feasting at the Lord's table for quite some time now. The singing has been
-
annointed, the preaching has been annoyingted it seemed like all of our preachers were
-
doing such a wonderful job. Sister, when you've noticed that the annoyting is
-
present. I said, thank God so much for these fourteen preachers that are
-
taxed her affiliated with the Bethel Holdess Church being annointed. I'm takingful for annoyted
-
singing. No doubt there are people that have traveled great distances to come to
-
the Bethel Holdness Church in order for their soul to be fed. I believe
-
we have been a feasting, and I do not want to take it for
-
granted. I remember there was a time in my life when my parents,
-
no doubt, we're following her the leading of the Lord, but they moved
-
us from one church to another, and at that time I felt like but
-
the Philip, I was starving spiritually because in that building there was not the
-
same things I was used to. The preaching did not seem to be anointed.
-
There was nobody coming to church with a song. In fact, I
-
had to take up the position of church pianist church, and at that time
-
I could barely play a sea cord in faquarter and a cheam cord. I
-
found myself in a time of spiritual faming. And if it had not been
-
my parents being in the center of God's will, I feel like I would
-
have lost my soul because of the lack of spiritual nursement in that place.
-
So I remember the service would started. I felt suit in despair. I
-
felt so disappointed, I felt so discouraged that I would save. Why did
-
we leave the house my bread to come to this place where there is no
-
man? You see, despairer that we have been partaking up has caused many
-
in this fielding to mature in their faith. And the girl in grace and
-
in the knowace of the Lord had saved her Jesus Christ. We've seen the
-
Marsa, a true revival. We're not seeing people that are saved. I
-
pret one time that I've been a custom in holding this church and everything,
-
and so under the blood we see people that are continually save by them getting
-
their portion of the Bible, getting their daily Bible reading, taking that spiritual
-
nutrition into this soul. I feel like God is beauty a church that is
-
mature in faith and that is growing in grace and in the knowledge of the
-
Lord has saved or Jesus Christ. And you can listen to each other preachers,
-
preacher and realize they have not been chewing her own sticks. So it
-
is said that in certain countries, so where food is scarce, so it's
-
a scarcity of food that the little children are hand is sticks to chew.
-
Long. I want you to know, right here this morning, at the
-
Bethel Holling, this church, as long as I seem the pastor here,
-
we will not be handed anybody a stick to you all, we will not
-
handle them. Hey, whether th much care and concerned, we will preach
-
the un nuts are rated, undeluded, you're undefied. Herd of God,
-
there is met in this household, and there is man where every person that
-
wants it. You know why the Holy goes to has been coming by here
-
lately for several months now. He has sped us. I said, Man
-
from Heaven has been in this place, and the Lord has opened our minds
-
concerning the scripture. The Lord has opened our hearts and concerning the things of
-
God. In fact, the true Word and the true Spirit of God is
-
making men and women of God, people of the book, people that truly
-
love Him, people that love to feast at His table. People that might
-
partake of the book and feel that it's a little bit bitter, but they
-
realize it is good for their soul. This one hundred and seven soft references
-
a special time within the nation of Israel's history. The children of God hath
-
been punished. May I say that again, the children of God have been
-
punished through the iron fist of Nevercannizzer, who is the emperor of the world,
-
the most fear dictainer of that day. He is punishing her God's people.
-
I said a little while a gold at this shortage and disperment is the
-
direct result of their disobedience. They are being punished by God through never can
-
Niss or because of other disobedience of other things that God had told them to
-
do. So there was then, and the steers today punishment and consequences said
-
were a stare. That is a message that nobody wants to preach anymore.
-
That is a song that nobody wants to sing anymore. But we must sing
-
the songs that move us to tears. And if we must sing her the
-
songs and shouts us, so we got to have her and will palace diet.
-
And I want this people to know, if you're in a time,
-
a shortage in your life couldn't be a punishment because of such simple, repellious,
-
disobedient actor that you're committing a gast God. May God help me as
-
a skilled man of God to show you sometimes there are shortages He hit our
-
life because of Jameson we are doing. You can tell sister we it's not
-
in a spiritual time. A shortage is scoting because her chiefs been peasting at
-
the Word's table. So the church is having revival, souls are being saved,
-
Sactodfide, Holy Gospel. I've seen God turn slothful people into the hand
-
soldiers. I see God turn the children into men. I see God turning
-
sinners in the saints. I see God making the sorrow ple joyful. I
-
see people that used to not have a song to sing. They are now
-
the first to say, since the High please lead past of my thirty in
-
the himper because they have learned that you grow if you feast on the Lord.
-
Hey daily, davely, the Lord daily loadeth us with the benefits if
-
you want to be benefited in this life and experience of true choice that is
-
only available if you type into the manner from heaven. I'm preaching this morning.
-
A servant the Holy Gust titled her water no more biscuits. Question market
-
that's Thermason pointer question market water, no more biscuits or come home. Now
-
here's some of you who in this spinning you remember lying he or somebody answer
-
to make the biscuits. He I telling you they will come a time in
-
your life and your wistle that you a preast it had at the table of
-
the lad because God will sit back. He brought his answer and let you
-
work. Point I said, you better get in it. But I get
-
scared when you find yourself working part. I've heard people before saying, if
-
I had to just to abate God that night, I got it. Just
-
abate God during that revival, I would have got what I needed. But
-
then they find themselves at the mont mill stolen, grinding for Nebuchadnezzar or some
-
Egyptian pharaoh until they get sick and tired of grinding him the flower in the
-
meal for Pharaoh's bread. That's a whole lot deeper than you think it is.
-
I'm telling you, if you are not grinding out meal and flower to
-
the glory of God, you are no doubt under your taskmaster, the debt
-
world, and you are working for the filth of this world that they call
-
food. You can find that the prodical son did not receive a hand out
-
from those that he had blessed him as he squandered his inheritance. In fact,
-
what they offered him was or work, opportunity to go in the spent
-
style. They would not even allow him to sleep in the service chambers.
-
Better jes see what it came to himself by he looked that his taskmaster expected
-
him to eat slop and come home now. But he begin to take about
-
the father's house. What was it thinking about? I believe he was thinking
-
about the manner or the bread, if you would, that's out to the
-
father's house. How do you know that? Because the Bible said there even
-
the servants have enough. That's bread enough that a spirit I crocked this morning
-
to be in the house of God. I might not be the one that
-
time to the holy ghost gods week. I might not be the water and
-
the holy gust that's meat. But I ain't given a father's house. Because
-
I learned that that's only a collar of time. I will again to put
-
my larns to me. I said this bread for enough to spare man or
-
from heaven. For every word of Goschi hood, should I shuder, I'm
-
going to keep preaching. You see this manner that we have been taken we're
-
taken off is good for our soul. If you read later today is by
-
the jest or brother. The thing you read aim Us four six through nine,
-
and read it with clarity, and read it with passion until you understand
-
it. First number six set and I also have given you cleanness of teeth
-
in all your cities, and a world of bread in all your places.
-
That is not you wan't read, You're gonna get it. That is a
-
lack of bread. Cleanness of teeth meanings you don't need a toothpick. I
-
could preach this morning on hey, you don't need a toothpick if you're in
-
the time of famine and a shortage or meat shortage and you're unable to get
-
that meat that you rave, and you'll understand what I'm talking about her and
-
preaching this morning. We've seen people trying her. It's many us fifteen hours
-
to sit in these views for one service. I've heard from one brother every
-
weekend since he visited three months ago, and he said, I'm longing for
-
what I feel the death off since I've been there. When I tasted of
-
the man and the met to con concern. I cannot be satisfied her anywhere
-
else. Come on, now, you may be living in a peach time
-
and you make him living just up to love from the Father's house. But
-
there's no man, not a maner that comes down come heaven. Because I
-
serve there's no service like what happens when the Holy ghost comes against the rain
-
down man up from heaven. I said, Co's been raining down the man
-
up from heaven. So these people have spent years in exile because of their
-
sins Urst number six. That's they have cleanness of teeth. They have a
-
cold Gate smile, but they're miserable inside. They have a cold Gate smile,
-
but they have growling bellies. You can preach act a cold Gate smile,
-
pastor Everything's okay. I've got on the facade. It's a faulty smile.
-
I come to church and I'll pretend lock everything is all right, But
-
inside I've got growling bellies. It's very funny sometimes when I see people come
-
from distant lands and they got on their cold Gate smile. But God lets
-
me hear their growling bellies, and I realize, Bless the Lord, these
-
ain't pot belly eat the Opians. But these are pot belly. Ain't holding
-
us people, as somebody's been telling us stories to preach a servant. That's
-
two and these people are so hungry. Now I feel a preacher out here
-
in this house and every city that should not be a l of bread.
-
That should never be said concerned just of my like area that there's a like
-
of bread. I hit all your places. I can hit all your church
-
houses. I understand that not every church is experiencing of payment, but there
-
are way too many that are for us to call my self contilling of God
-
and the people that depend upon Jehovajarrah. In context, here in the book
-
of Amos, we see the nation of Israel has fallen upon hard times,
-
not because it's just the nature of the beasts, not because it's just this
-
part of the cycle, as we know how the world turns. But this
-
is because of their disinterests and their disobedience to their commandments. During this time
-
in the nation of Israel's history. According to the rightness of Amos, you
-
see that these people are refusing to help the helpless. They are refusing to
-
lend an ear to the poor, even the Psalmis said, this poor man
-
cried, and the Lord heard him. There's been times that I said,
-
God, I need handbulls on purpose to be handed to me, because I
-
am a needing antime. And so Amos pointed out that they're suffering and they
-
have this cleanness of teeth condition because they're ignoring the needs of others. And
-
also he noticed that they're offering religious sacrifices that are polluted or attained. It.
-
Now it's easy to see right here we can deserve that they're breaking the
-
two most important commandments. When Jesus was approached to by the Pharisees, and
-
knew very well in the tour of the six hundred sub commandments. When Jesus
-
was approached to by these Pharisees, they said, which is the greatest commandment
-
of them all? Do y'all know what Jesus said? He said, love
-
the Lord dot Com with all the heart, all the mind. I sold
-
a boy. What Jesus was saying is love him with every empower of your
-
being. A second, love your neighbor as you love yourself. So Amos
-
has said this, come upon them because they're ignoring the needs of the poor.
-
They're ignoring the needed people and their opportutuneous sacrifice. Or come on,
-
now, how many people come to churcha knowing their heart is divided and trying
-
to serve two masters. They serve Jesus o Sunday, they serve Jesus on
-
Wednesday, but every end, the day of the weekend serving the death.
-
But no wonder you come to church. I could like this art, but
-
that because we have been to knock flow out of the same bounding pain the
-
sacrifices to the Lord. So these people were breaking the very most important commandments.
-
Does outreach ministry's matter? Apparently it us? Why is there in those
-
spiritual awakenings today? Because we have to start with simplicity and sincerity. We
-
have to let revival begin in us, and we have to humble ourselves and
-
have the heart of the good Samaritan and begin to minister with the manner from
-
heaven the bread handful of purposes to people out there in the streets. How
-
do you expect Heaven to keep baking bread whenever we're not taking it out there
-
to that world. I'm telling you, somebody out to be preaching on the
-
street corner, somebody out to be handing out tracks of handfuls on purpose.
-
Somebody out to be helping, enabling, financing equipment, somebody out to move
-
the bread. I said, if God's gonna bake the bread, that there
-
has to be logistics in place, and there has to be distributed. Am
-
I preaching right here this morning or not. There's got to be a preacher,
-
preacher. There's got to be a teacher, teacher. There's gotta be
-
somebody cared that gospel to them. Somebody takes somebody a loaf of bread.
-
There was a food shortage. Amos observed. This food shortage is the result
-
of a famine in the land. On top of that, noticeably recognizes there
-
is a drought of pot us. It says the Lord withheld the rein for
-
a three months span, but not just for three months. You could put
-
a comma there and say that's okay, preach about living without rain for three
-
months. You know that happens when it doesn't rain through all. You can
-
ask the church's law maintenance team and they would tell you whether Rick Jacob and
-
Brother Jesse how and the others would tell you that the grass begins to die.
-
Well, the nation of Israel was not as blessed as the neighboring nations
-
would conduit to move water into their systems of irrigation. They were not as
-
breshed as other nations to channel like giving sustaining water upon their crops. They
-
were depending on God to sit down rain from heaven. You can ask these
-
guys, how does pastor fuel when it hasn't rained in a while. I'm
-
very unsettled and uneasy with how crispy the lawn is getting to see one blade
-
of crosso breaking off. It's very alarming and unsettling when a preacher who looks
-
out to let's see someone has green pastures while others have worth be dried up.
-
Other rooks. Come on now, you say, isn't not raining in
-
the beauty? It's not the Bible? A polo say, it's not back
-
from heavy coming down. He there enough showers of blessed coming down. It's
-
life. All three be Bible. But why is somebody trying out popular?
-
Holy girl? Stay right there, it's not because of God. It's nothing
-
lost to and it's your new and you have called her down to a lot
-
touch of kisses for disobedience. I said, God's causing because of your actions.
-
Why do I not feel anything while preachers preaching, Well, I don't
-
feel anything while the singers are singing. Now we said already three months without
-
raining. It's not worthy. You get your calendar out after two weeks,
-
brother Eja, especially if you're depending on the harvest three months the late levels
-
are falling. Brother Christ. You can't get the boat off the dock.
-
You know what I'm saying. The pontoon boat is stranded. Three months of
-
no move of God in the church. Hey, that's too long, But
-
you know what. It goes on to say that Amos noticed and gets a
-
three months drought prior to harness, about the time we're about to reap the
-
bountiful harvest of the blessings of God. God has keeping it from rain and
-
upon our land. Now, anybody that knows anything about Palestine, specifically the
-
land of Canaan, you know it's supposed to be a land where there's a
-
bountiful harvest, where people are harvest and great fruits about the size of my
-
head, where people are bringing great clusters about as tall as brother Jesse is.
-
How Brother rodcap is supposed to be the land of plenty and the land
-
of promise. But Amos is noting here that there is a drought and a
-
famine. Who was supposed to be harvesting right here in the near future.
-
I could hear the little bodest says, God is dealing with it. The
-
preacher over them lives what ba ba, we're not gonna have any biscuits.
-
That's right there, We're not gonna have any biscuits. But there's no hardness
-
that I'm telling you. He that sow a spare shall reading sparely? Do
-
you know why you can't feel anything because he's not pulling nothing here? Do
-
you know why you're not feeling anything when that preacher is preaching because he hadn't
-
pulling nothing I can to do. When you pulling the head, God will
-
pull it out, I said, when you pulling the head, God repall
-
I. The simple answer is somebody has not obeying God when God has closed
-
the vowel. In any church, I know that there are those times that
-
God test us, that tries us, but there should never be elitic period
-
of time where God's he put it to the place where they'll say, have
-
I've been for safed, I've been spiritcing a payment in their life? What
-
we gotta do is do a soul analysis. Who say, what has the
-
world tried up? And if the world has tried up? You know what
-
you do? The preachreyt Arch has taught us, are taught us. You
-
move bron up to row and you twelve. I tuckle down. I said,
-
you threel. If you call them what he is, should I quit
-
preaching? Okay? Preaching what? No biscuits? I could see the little
-
boy, little dark skinned Hebrew boy run away and say, hey, Mama
-
just said, ain't enough grain to grind biscuits. That's devastating. If you've
-
ever had one of Irish limp one who wounds biscuits, you will never be
-
the same. I remember their sister, Florence Day of Broxton, Georgia.
-
She had something this generation knows nothing about. It was a biscuit box.
-
Right there in her kitchen was this wooden box. It was full of flower.
-
She'd opened that lid on that biscuit box, and you can tell she
-
just replaced the flower, maybe ever a month or ever two months, do
-
you guys remember it? And I would take her there when y'all were little,
-
and about every time we sat down to eat, when brother Edward and
-
his sister Floe. Day she would take sister Howl over there and say this
-
is how we knew it. And she just pulled the lid down on that
-
box. You see, the TV was not the staple in that home.
-
That come on Netflix was not the staple hitting that hole. I heard her
-
say, I've done this from my sons that are now fifty five years old.
-
I've done it from my husband it's now seventy five years old. I've
-
done it for my grandchildren as in their thirties, and some of my great
-
grandchildren is in their teams. And I realized that staple right there, that
-
bread was so important to her generation after generation. Just around the corner,
-
out in the open, from the bread boxer was a mouse trap. About
-
telling it right, sister Howard, because she knew the mouse wanted to get
-
in the bread boxer and better Jessie, even the mouse could not resist her
-
sister Cludey's biscuits. I feel the preacher. Now they come about. Somebody
-
said, why are the listening? Why they're fucking to it? Come on
-
now and you get hungry, now you will go to her side. I
-
mean, I said, somebody gets hungry, you want to buy somebody that
-
eat I preaching this horn, and all sister play was dead and go down.
-
I wonder what happened to a bread boxer? I wonder what happened to
-
the fiscuit out of don't thank God? Don't let it be a better hold
-
God, somebody's safe. Where's the bisket box? I used to go to
-
that church, pastor how brother road Captain would open the door. The bread
-
was so reliable, the bread was so dependent. You could see it when
-
they opened the bread box. I feel I'm preaching right now. I'm telling
-
you, and you ain't want me to shut up. I don't guess,
-
because you can't tell me to keep preaching. But I remember sitting in that
-
house, and I could tell the system flows, furniture and change. I
-
could tell some things changed, but it looked to me like and I might
-
be misspeaking here. She still had the same oven. I know it wasn't
-
no new thing, but I do know that bread box had been there for
-
a while, and she didn't even have to clean it. Brother, it's
-
just flower. And she put her hands in there, reaching there and get
-
what she needed. Sister wooting to make the biscuits. I'm telling you right
-
here this morning, you better not take for granted what God is doing for
-
you at the fifth or holding his church. These young creatures or some of
-
the parties, young preachers, I've never heard they ain't pretty good. God
-
fattens Shaston comer now hey song, chapter number seventy eight, Verses number twenty
-
file sid these Israel lights of ain't a pred of hanchhaws? Have you got
-
each a prayer of anchehaus? I said, God, that's a naught of
-
pastors preach other angels of the church and the ministry cleans a pier and there
-
morth. I'm telling you you gotta have press soil to make press bread.
-
I'm the creature he do this house, this bonnet head creature, get us
-
a press bread better from heaven. I couldn't imagine sister who would never be
-
today? Where somebody says, worst pastor High? Where's brother Justine? Where
-
Sister Irish? Where Sister High? Where Sister Wood? Where Sister Hammer,
-
Where's Sister Sheriff, Where's Sister Locker? Where Sister Dead? Where's Sister Crystal?
-
Where's Brother Christ? They didn't say, But most importantly, where is
-
the bread box for the Oh God. I'm telling you, young people,
-
think my tank is the wrong thing to do. To church as much as
-
you knew to study the Bible as much as you do. But you keep
-
on buying the flowers. I said, you keep on eating the angels prayer,
-
and you keep on paying it happen. Let's somebody be a blessed boy.
-
Let's somebody profit a product. The Israelites in their history had eight angels
-
food, and now in our texts we find that God is having to satisfy
-
the longing soul. There's an age. There's an age there. He's having
-
to satisfy the longing soul. There's a longing for something indefinible, something incalculably
-
precious, but lost. You don't have to lose it. I felt the
-
Holy he guilt rout there, assytem We No'm gonna say this the guilt,
-
So the hamm and pray for me. I'm talking to somebody. You are
-
eating angels food. Thank God for it. You were not eating angels food
-
because I'm feeding it to you. God is raining it down out of heaven
-
upon you. Moses did not have to take it to him, brother Nathaniel.
-
But because Moses was who he was, he was raining out of the
-
sky upon them people. But according to the Bible, they had to be
-
partakers of it. It was on the perimeter every morning, and they had
-
to walk to the outskirts of the camp, and they had to get that
-
manner that fell from heaven. It's not always convenient to take that bootle cot
-
and to pick it up before mark, or to take it pick it up
-
at night, but you got to pick it up. I'll say, if
-
you've got together the brain, if you're gonna bring in the sheet something,
-
you got to go out and getting the grain. You've got to pick up
-
every handful of purpose. So if you're gonna come to the Master's house,
-
every handful that is left for you on purpose was meant that there is as
-
a dot in the connection dots. You know what I'm saying. It's a
-
special point of purpose, a place in your life. But the fight a
-
pointment that is that's that happenings on purpose because it's leading to the house where
-
that is bread enough in the spare, and thank god I'm talking about this
-
morning. That's somebody loging man for something that's in the Bible. It's in
-
the binab. All these people knew what it was like to eat angels food,
-
but they lost it. They lost it. They knew what was like
-
to eat angels food, but they lost it. I knew one of us
-
like to chop on my feet, It's say, preacher, preacher prince to
-
me. I knew one of us like provided to show special interest in me.
-
I knew one of us like for God to make special provision for me.
-
But now there's this eight, there's this long eat for So come on,
-
gow amos. Chapter number eight must number eleven. Behold the days.
-
Come and say the Lord God that I will send a famine in the land,
-
not a famine of bread, not a thirst for water, but of
-
hearing the words of the Lord. If your soul is not being fed,
-
that, simply put to, that is not a messenger that come out of
-
the kitchen. If you just accept that and received that for what it is
-
simply put to, that is not a messenger that has come out of the
-
kitchen. Any time I've ever been to the Dixie Stampede, and then waiters
-
or waitresses come out of the kitchen, they got taking something from the kitchen.
-
Your slain't get bad, and they ain't been in the kitchen. Come
-
on, now, we're supposed to be big grows and big girls here.
-
You know when a kid comes out of their playroom and they have a place
-
school stove in a place schooled microwave, they come out with empty platters and
-
empty plates. What no biscuits? My people perish for the lack of knowledge.
-
Psalm, chapter number thirty four, verse number ten, one of my
-
favorite scripture verses, said, the young lions do suffer and perish for hunger.
-
You know why because mom, ain't men are killing? Not? Don't
-
clear you do? You know why, brother rod Cap These people is preaching
-
elect the preaching because on Sunday morning they hear teaching like they hear. They
-
come on to hear the preaching like they hear from all these great men are
-
God preaching. They have mamas and daddies that are training them up in the
-
nurture and the admonition of the Lord. They have great examples for Rick Jacob
-
standing before them and handing them in hand her fos on purpose. But some
-
thirty four and ten said, but with God, they will not lack any
-
good thing. I'm telling you right here, the people of gods. They
-
succeed in their efforts to attain bread, but the young lions sometimes are unsuccessful.
-
There is no reason why anybody in this builders should be standing there and
-
saying, watch no biscuit for me, there is bread, and not having
-
us happening say that after a season of her Bible, when they are roma
-
in the air a whip in the areas of Christus already paraphrasing those lions desire,
-
they hunger, But for those that seek God, they will not lack
-
any good thing. Our brother read Joshua five ten through twelve. And the
-
manner ceased after just the roquept diet, and the manner ceased after Nathaniel Howard
-
died, and the manner ceased at the Charity Howard diet, after they had
-
eaten of the old corn, after they had eaten of the old corn,
-
after the old preacher had preached, and the manner ceased on themorrow, after
-
they had eaten of the old corner of the land. Neither the children of
-
Israel manner anymore, Brother Caleb, that's underly, that's the inspiration for this
-
morning service. Neither had the children of Israel man or anymore. What no
-
more biscuits, just to how there's not gonna be another biscuit come out of
-
the oven where they just meander by and reach them pick something up offer the
-
perimeter. Oh come on, now, my thought. He is no nor
-
biscuits like those biscuits, those cath Head biscuits. No more biscuits like Clode's
-
biscuits. It is true that even now it's scarce as somebody makes a biscuits.
-
Sister Simmons to have text her to my poone the other day, as
-
she said, how about the biscuits? Now, I want you to know
-
something. Just the picture on a reminder of the biscuits. There's something in
-
this creature her, Sister Simmons, I'm telling you there's a generation knows nothing
-
about the biscuit pacing away. It's stickers to the race. It knows nothing
-
about the biscuit baking. We stuckert time. Rachel. I'm telling you there's
-
some good people believe us. Don't get a hold of you. Ever took
-
a cat head and biscuit after Sunday Church. You can't poke your peaky in
-
it, brother Chris. You gotta poke your thumb in it. Then you
-
get some of that cane serrup from Cloist in Florida. The sugar cat put
-
in the world. You go, where the world of sugar cane kettles are?
-
You talk to that old timer that comes up, was a little bit
-
of home back, got us a war out hat. And you say,
-
I'm looking for some cane serrup, and they hand you that stuff that's deluded,
-
And you say, listen, I know your salesman, you've been selling
-
this stuff for years. I want what your mom was gott in the pantrion.
-
They know right then that boy was raised by Jeremy ormand Damper. It's
-
right. Papa had one of them can serve kettles out there. Papa knew
-
how to grind cane, Papa knew how to make can sirrup. But I
-
know what it is when they pour something in there you don't know what I'm
-
talking about, to water it down, and they sell it and it's not
-
as stick, it's not as sweet, it's not as good. That's what
-
a lot of preachers are doing. They got about eight minutes of substance,
-
and then they got about twenty five minutes of stories. And somebody's going out
-
and saying work in the world did they preaching? I don't want nobody leaving
-
here and saying those are biscuits that I can I could preach a little holiness
-
right here. There's some women in our holiness movement and guys a thing.
-
They're like them cam biscuits. They're busting out of their clothes. You know
-
what I'm saying, you're hitting the wrong way. They bust out of the
-
clothes. It's almost so tight they are because they're a preaching it right the
-
huh like the little boy that clutched his backsides up. My biscuits are burning.
-
My biscuits are burned because Mama blistered him. That somebody need to be
-
taught how to dress. And I'll get off of all that, and I'm
-
gonna try to stay a sweet guy right here. But we know there are
-
no biscuits like that big homemade cat head biscuit and then that good homemade cane,
-
sir, and you shove that thumb in there, and sun it feels
-
like you're pouring the whole bottle in. You see the bubbles, you feel
-
that biscuit up until the backside of that biscuit, you know, the flat
-
part that laid on the pan starts turning brown. You pour real slow when
-
that biscuit gets saturated with that cane. Sir, Now, come on,
-
I'll know you out there smiling right now. If you have tasted what I'm
-
talking about, have experienced a biscuit being full of sirrup raising, there's something
-
else you can do. You can fill it up with honey. Anybody else
-
ever filled it up with honey. If you have never done yet, you
-
need to do it. By Dylan, you ever feel a biscuit up with
-
honey or syrup, you need to do it. I'm telling you filled up
-
with jelly or something. But these biscuits that we're talking about right here,
-
if we will bake them biscuits, God will fill them up with syrup from
-
heaven. Then I said, the word of Manna literally means what is it?
-
So when have children come out that morning after he had raved from heaven
-
upon the ground, their children and mom's and death said what is it?
-
There's some people in this building I can tell don't even know what a cat
-
and heap biscuit is. I tell you what we will do for you tonight.
-
I'll see if I can't talk some sisters that won't be upset or act
-
like it's grievous to do it. I see if I get some sisters that
-
want to do something for God and don't feel like it's work to do something
-
for the people of God. I got some biscuits right here. I guarantee
-
I'll have more time prepared than this than you will prepared to make some biscus.
-
But if there's anybody in this building this morning that's never tasted a cat
-
biscuits, you come back here tonight and we'll let you taste what it's like
-
to pull one out of the arm. Come or want you pat it?
-
I can't biscus just will not good. Oh God help us? Right,
-
I roll what I'm talking about. I know what preach it is. I
-
know looking know it is. I go all what the glory I called us.
-
I've heard people preach for pore, and I said, what is it
-
that is not the fiscu that I came to run? You can't more to
-
see the children of God every morning for a period of time, they woke
-
up looking for fresh breath. It's for them, they expected it. Why
-
do you have to be ready to preach, preachers, because the people are
-
coming to church to be fatter. I have been a sick but God has
-
helped to be able to preach this morning. Thank you, Lord, brother
-
Nathaniel. But there came a point where the Bible said, the manner ceased.
-
That's terrified. The Lord did not rain down the races from heaven.
-
No, the Lord did not rain down starburst from heaven. Oh come on,
-
now, this stuff was nutritious. The manner ceased because it was time
-
for this generation to grow in grace spiritually and to develop naturally. In other
-
words, God was going to let these people develop a good work ethic,
-
and I better shut the sermon down right here. God was going to allow
-
them to find out what it is to cultivate. They've never done nothing.
-
They're going to move. It's quick food. It's drive through, just fast
-
food, door dash, brought right to your front door. But now as
-
I gotta get a piece of property, I gotta get the plow, and
-
I can't look back. I gotta get callouses on my hands. Gotta start
-
growing in grace and developing naturally. If we're gonna have biscuits, there's gonna
-
be a cultivating. There's got to be a planning. There's gotta be a
-
praying for rain. There's gotta be out building the irrigation system. If I'm
-
gonna read the harvest, I've got together the corn. I've gotta make the
-
flower. Hey, you're not gonna be to just walk around and saying,
-
help me a biscuit please. That's what's happened to sister woman. That's why
-
some went through that wave of glory or that season of revival unscathed and just
-
take it for granted that the next time you'd be a biscuit police. But
-
I felt it in my soul. Somebody will say, what no biscuits,
-
Brother Nathaniel. I'm this way. Things have set the mental value to me.
-
I don't know what happened to sister flow days biscuit box, but as
-
somebody and I deftly did, there's somebody threw it out back. I'm the
-
kind of guid that would go get that biscuit box, clean it up.
-
Containing in my house, am I not? Or after preaching this message,
-
I would put it in my office and put my bibles in there, this
-
loaf of bread, another biblets and break let's stand. The Lord wanted to
-
feed the Israelites in the wilderness, and the Lord wanted to satisfy each person,
-
and he wants to satisfy each person today. Wouldn't it be nice to
-
have a dunkin Donuts outside your front door? Wouldn't it be great? Wouldn't
-
be healthy? Would it be great? Wouldn't it awesome? Have first business
-
every morning? For I undersea like small sugary wafers. But now and sorry
-
one of seven of verse number nine, Our selectry Texas, where he satisfieth
-
the longing soul with goodness. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
-
days of my life. Their souls are feigning because of thirst and hunger.
-
There's a thinking there. They know something good is coming, and he will
-
satisfy that lording soul the goods. Only the Lord can satisfy that sort of
-
hunger, and only the Lord can put that can't beat, or that kind
-
of desire there were y'all feel it is, and only the Lord can satisfy
-
it and bring it to completion. Sometimes he satisfies our hungry soul by one
-
message, one church, one church, family. They just seem to satisfy
-
that hunger. I find myself struggling, but I don't have it. Somehow
-
it satisfies me. Somehow going down there satisfies me. It might not satisfy
-
you, but it's satis finds me. I'm talking for you, on your
-
behalf. If you have that longing in your heart this morning, I want
-
you to know that the Lord stirred me up during the night just for you.
-
The Lord dealt with me that that longing, that aching will be satisfied
-
with sweet goodness. Would you bow your heads run down? The Lord will
-
satisfy that longing soul was sweet goodness. Matthew five and six said, Blessed
-
are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
-
Blessed are they which do ache after righteousness. Somebody said, really consistent
-
woot and cry and pray and have such a burden in every service like that?
-
Yes you can when you're being fed. Can a preacher really preach with
-
anointing every single time? Yes you can if you're being fed by God.
-
If you're here this morning, you would admit to pastor preacher, I'm not
-
ashamed to say, but I've been hungry and thirsty. I feel like I
-
need to be fed. Would you raise your handed? God saw these hands.
-
He has spoke to you this morning that he will satisfy the longest soul.
-
Can We all gather into these altars right now. Somebody just said,
-
I'm not satisfied yet, but I will be one day. Her spirit said,
-
I'm not satisfied with Sister Woulden has often said, I'm a holy ghost
-
talk. I will be satisfied one day, and satisfied again another day,
-
and take all the living bread that I can get. The center will be
-
drawn closer. It was something called conviction. When the holy ghost begins to
-
draw people, it is though Heaven has opened the door to the oven.
-
No man coming to the Father unless the spirit drawing him. It says,
-
though the aroma of Heaven has been let out. The bread smells so good.
-
I was approaching that building. The singers were singing. The bread was
-
so good. The preaching, it was food from my soul. The teaching
-
was manner from heaven. The experience, the friendliness of the people, the
-
goodness, and come. It was food from my soul. It's exactly what
-
I needed. It's exactly what I need. Yeah, somebody give it to
-
Jesus right now. Thank you Jesus for satisfying the Lord, give up my
-
soul. You knew there was a helper, and you have filled it was
-
satisfied bread and livid water. I don't know what it is is trauma.
-
It must be the bread of her what locus? Yeah, enough the blow
-
for love? Pull my chair to say a pay down to die, say
-
tonother this song, another side, now for enough the blow. I can't
-
the table, I behole another time or time I I all my face to
-
the table. Rad now another whom I lived. Please sisters Lisle over never
-
met relive my baby be more, will be my God? Why quaters in
-
her lies? Old man gave me mind. You are in us in this
-
world. You flo crave emblazers little and the Oh, my God, get
-
this DETANGI there Jesus my I
