  1. That's all we that's all that's all we could ever ask for is someone to

  2. get under the load with us and get there. Get there with us,

  3. work together, pull together. That's well, we're in this thing. We're

  4. in this thing together. We're all trying to make it to Heaven. One

  5. common goal, one end goal, one end result is what we're all looking

  6. for. I begin to I begin to think that when brother Caleb was leading

  7. that uh now he set me free two thirty five, I believe, or

  8. three thirty three, three thirty three, one line in that song really stood

  9. out to me. Like a prison like like a bird from prison mars and

  10. flown. If you've flown out of some prison bars, you can burn.

  11. If God's delivered you from from the change a hand you what's found. If

  12. God's touched you and away and he opened the old cage up, he would

  13. go ever seen U of heard get a cage open up and just stay in

  14. up in the cage. That's that's not the will of God. When God

  15. opens up a cage for you, takes flight and fly into the heavens.

  16. Fly into this guy, fly into the high things of God. I appreciate

  17. the spirit of the Lord. We filled this morning. Appreciate what brother Nathaniel

  18. had to say. I was kin with him Saturday. I called him and

  19. I said, I'm gonna pray and take over spirit on you. I'm just

  20. gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna pray that you get on here and just

  21. run with it. But I really appreciate what he said. I believe it

  22. will do with some good. Uh. We want to say quickly, I

  23. appreciate this opportunity confidence in my pastor we missed them, praying for safe travels.

  24. We're gonna read in two places this morning. My co text will read.

  25. First, we'll read my primary text. Last, we're starting Second Samuel

  26. the twenty first chapter. Then we'll read. Then we'll move over to Matthew

  27. the thirteenth chapter, Second Samuel twenty one Matthew number thirteen. Now, if

  28. you pay attention to these two texts, you'll quickly see the common denominator and

  29. you get a little head start. Began reading in verse number eight, the

  30. twenty first chapter of the Book of Second Samuel. But the king took the

  31. two sons of Risk, but the daughter of Ayah, whom she bear up

  32. to Saul arm and I am a philis chef, and the five sons of

  33. Michael, the daughter of Saul, whom she bared up for Adril, the

  34. sona bars LII, than the hold of fight, and he delivered them into

  35. the hands of the give you nights, and they hanged them in the heel

  36. before the Lord. And they fell all seven together, or put to death

  37. in the days of harvest in the first days, in the beginning of barley

  38. harvest, and Rizpa, the daughter of Aiah, took sackloft and spread it

  39. for her upon the rock from the beginning of harvest, until would have dropped

  40. upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to

  41. rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the fields by night.

  42. Flipping over to Matthew the thirteenth chapter, we began reading in verse one.

  43. And the same day went Jesus out of the house and sat on the seaside,

  44. and great multitoons were gathered together unto him, so that he went into

  45. a ship and sat, and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And

  46. he spake many things under them imparable, saying, behold, a sword went

  47. forth to sow, And when he had sowed some seeds felled by the wayside,

  48. and the fouls came devoured him up. That'll be all of our reading

  49. this morning. And if the Lord will help me for just a few minutes

  50. of your time, I want to speak this morning on beat back the birds.

  51. Would you lift your hands all across the house and ask God to have

  52. his perfect willing way in this service. Nord, we thank you for your

  53. presence that we have felt already. Lord, we thank you for your spirit,

  54. the annoying thing that has broken through this place like a mighty rushing limp.

  55. God, I ask for a coal of heaving to come down and an

  56. be a peach your word. God, I ask them by your spirit you

  57. would anoint the seeds with my Now, God, give me things to see

  58. that would help the people. God, we asking the name of Jesus.

  59. Let me let them see you and knock me. God, let them see

  60. your grace, your love, and your mercy. Hide me behind your shadow,

  61. God, that nothing I say or do would help them. Lord,

  62. in the name of Jesus, we pray in Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

  63. Now Jesus is teaching a large group of people from a boat down by

  64. the seashore, and he begins to tell him a parable of a sword and

  65. a seed. And a little side note here is I believe that the words

  66. of Jesus are just as relevant today as they were back then. So if

  67. we all believes that this morning, if everyone believes that what Jesus said back

  68. then is just as relevant today as it was back then, let's put ourselves

  69. in that great multitude in our minds. Let's go there. When Jesus is

  70. sitting in a boat. Picture it if you if you believe that what he

  71. said is just as relevant today, picture yourself in the great multitude. As

  72. the Mighty Teacher is teaching the boats just off the shore, the waves are

  73. hitting the boat, rolling on the shore and rolling back. You can hear

  74. the sounds of the wind blowing. And above the sound of the wind is

  75. the voice of the Mighty Teacher, the teacher of teachers, the blessed son

  76. of God. Now when you put yourself in there, where your toes in

  77. the water, right there at the head is closed to the boat as you

  78. could get, and where you're back here behind a tree, hanging out with

  79. your pals, did it really matter to you that you could hear everything that

  80. the Master was saying, did you really care that the Master, the teacher

  81. of all teachers, was spilling everything he had from the throne room of God,

  82. giving it to you handfuls on purpose? Or were you stating in the

  83. pack trying to get away as far as you could so you could say I

  84. was there. I want it. I want my feet to be with I

  85. want to be just as Jesus is right here, and that's as far as

  86. I can get. I want to be hanging on to the boat which deep

  87. in the water, listening to the Master's voice. Many times I've heard this,

  88. this pararable priest and talk about evangelism and witnessing, and I've heard it

  89. said that the souler is not responded pile for where the seed lands. Just

  90. sow the seed and let God do the rest. And when we are doing

  91. public evangelism and one on one ministry and witnessing, it's true we can't control

  92. where the seed lands and where it ends up, whether it's gonna be on

  93. good ground, whether it's gonna be on stony ground, And we must let

  94. the hero and God onlineing do the cultivating on the land of that ground so

  95. that it can bring forth good fruit. Because the Bible said they must have

  96. a willing heart, a willing mind. But I felt it much prayer and

  97. study, this parable take a turn for me, and it went in an

  98. another direction. And I've never heard this parable preach this way, or I've

  99. never read it in a book or ownline. But all throughout the Bible,

  100. there are many many instances. I wrote down two scriptures here, but all

  101. throughout the Bible, there are many instances when our children, in our offspring,

  102. are referred to as seed. Our parable was a soul or so and

  103. seed in an angel, and well, just for reference, an angel was

  104. speaking to Abraham and Genesis the twenty second chapter in the verse seventeen, and

  105. he says that in blessing, I will bless thee and in multiplying, I

  106. will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is

  107. upon the seashore, and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.

  108. In the Book of Romans, chapter four, verse thirteen, Paul was speaking

  109. about a promise given to Abraham. Paul says, for the promise that he

  110. should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed

  111. through the law. He didn't say that they were gonna that they were gonna

  112. be aired to the world, the world because of the law, but through

  113. the righteousness of faith. So in those two passages you see where Abraham's children

  114. and there's more in the Bible. I just got those two where Abraham's children

  115. are referred to as seed. And as I begin to think about that,

  116. and I realized that Abraham's children and off spring we were considered seeds and mentioned

  117. the seeds in the Bible, and parallel to seeds in the Bible, then

  118. I begin to think mine must be as well. If Abraham's children are seed

  119. that's Abraham would plant, my children must be seeds that I will plant,

  120. and we must be careful where we plan them and what they getting rooted into.

  121. So as we look at the parable with all of that in mind,

  122. we suddenly realize that where our seed is up after we plan it is very

  123. very important, and it really doesn't matter. This sword that Jesus is talking

  124. about with was very slow for in his field print and he didn't take the

  125. time to properly dig up the stones and to pull up the thorn bushes,

  126. and he didn't take anything, and he just sowed the seed. He just

  127. walking by haphazardly, carelessly sowing the seed. The Bible said some fell on

  128. stony ground, some fell among thornton it choked him out, and some did

  129. fall on good ground. If you finished reading the parable, what I want

  130. I want to focus on this morning. This those seed that fell on the

  131. wayside, and the Bible said that the birds came and to valor them.

  132. God has trusted us to raise our children and those that we influence it.

  133. If you say I don't have children, we are influencing others is just as

  134. much as parents are, especially when it comes into the house of the Lord.

  135. You might not have as much influence over their home life as you think,

  136. but you, when you darken the tours of the Church of God,

  137. you are influencing children and those that are younger than you, and maybe even

  138. something that are older than you. But God has trusted us to solve these

  139. precious seeds, and we must make sure to bring them to church and teach

  140. them what the Bible says about sin and wickedness, because it's running rampant in

  141. our world today. We must guard what is being planted in their minds and

  142. do everything that we can to come back the evil that this world is trying

  143. to see in their tender hearts of Fesian six and four says, and ye,

  144. fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in

  145. the nursing and the admonition of the Lord. It is out of god given

  146. duty to bring them up with a love for God, a lover his word,

  147. and a love for the truth. And it seems to me as I

  148. looked across this world that there are so many parents in this day and age

  149. that leaves their children to themselves and their caress concerning what is being planted in

  150. their minds and what they are being introduced, what they are being introduced to.

  151. The Bible says, tramp a child in the way that they should go,

  152. and when they grow home, they should not depart from it. And

  153. parents nowadays refuse to invest time and energy into making making sure that they get

  154. grounded in Christianity, from righteousness and holiness and holy living in accordance with the

  155. word of God which is written in the Bible. And it is very important

  156. that we take responsibility for our children, and we take it seriously, and

  157. we understand that God has placed in in our lives to raise them to the

  158. believers of the Bible and livers of the lives. In this society, I

  159. see parents trying to act like it's normal when people want to so see the

  160. homosexuality and perversion into their braising, into their rights. And they're trying to

  161. proport our tutor to young ages. And I see people and shipping and hot

  162. the parents back in life of their doctoration. Do I have a calling for

  163. the work, And said, I hope my son don't put out game my

  164. brother did. But there's nothing I can do about it. I said,

  165. I'll tell you, I'll call him. I said, there is something you

  166. can know about it. But these people down days, these parents, they

  167. say, there's nothing I can do about the perversion. There's nothing I can

  168. do about the wickedness. But there is something you can really turn you get

  169. so righteous. See, you can teach about fresh God, you can preach

  170. about the gold Father, the mayor. There is state that you can do

  171. in their society to see to it that your children don't dne perverted and struggling

  172. for life. The soul, the school system and the neighborhood friends are trying

  173. to pervert their innocent mind as such a good age. It's bewildering I have

  174. I would have cool workers that I work parting closely with because of the type

  175. of word the Armian. And they're constantly talking about the evil that's in the

  176. school system and how they hate it and how they hope it don't get off

  177. on their children. But they say there's nothing they can do. I try

  178. to tell if you can do something, but they're trying to graft you the

  179. thought processes of leniency of the wicked in this day into our young people and

  180. in our children. And it's a relentless attack of Satan. Every time one

  181. dayvil gets gone down, he says another one against these ten that are six

  182. Saturday, ain't nine ten? It's a costed bombardment. The Bible says in

  183. some seven and eleven. And God children's the righteous? And God has ain't

  184. we with the wicked every day? And if God is angry with the wicked

  185. every day? Who thinks that we should be leaning in tylerant to wickedness?

  186. If it makes God angry? Should we tolerate it like they want us to?

  187. Should we be leaning against it like they want us to? Like though

  188. men in the world aren't today we read an our text that the sword didn't

  189. pay much attention to where his sea landed. He could have gone the extra

  190. mile. He could have made sure his seed baded into fert of earth,

  191. in good ground, where it could flourish and grow. Verse four of our

  192. texts says the birds of the air came and devoured his seat. I didn't

  193. read anywhere in that parable where the sword was too concerned that the birds were

  194. devouring his speed. He could have done something about it. I've heard a

  195. stir scarecrows keep the birds out of the field. He could have did something.

  196. He could have He could have tore up the thorns and pulled up the

  197. rocks. But he wasn't concerned. He let the birds spoil his harvest.

  198. Little foxes came in, little birds, Little foxes, if you heal,

  199. came in and destroyed the vine. I was at work one morning a couple

  200. of weeks ago. I was down in the market league. I was on

  201. Durino Durango Lane. I believe it was since we wouldn't know where the village

  202. is at right where the overpass is the equal housing, the low income housing,

  203. and we were working on a looping project connecting some water vans, and

  204. I'm sitting in a could of Sacket's. It's a cold of sack drive Durango

  205. Lane, and I'm sitting in the driveway. And as I'm sitting there in

  206. my work trucking the ay see, I look on the palate lines around me,

  207. and I start to realize there's probably fifty to one hundred birds on the

  208. palate lines surrounding my truck. And I begin to wonder, what what,

  209. what's the attraction here? Well? I I continue to sit my truck and

  210. a little and a little while later, this old elderly Haitian man gets up

  211. off of his front portion. He has one of those cardos vans, and

  212. he opens the back door to his cargo van and he pulls out a little

  213. tumpleware container with some bird seed, and right there on the asphalt, he

  214. begins to scatter seed to feed the birds. He carry cast his seeds in

  215. the birds state he cast his season threw him out upon the asphalt pass this

  216. too were a container. Back closes his cargo van. Noors goes and sits

  217. on his front porch, and as soon as he sat down, here come

  218. the birds. They swarmed off the powerlines to get that precious seed. They

  219. didn't come. They've they've obviously been trained for this. This is obviously a

  220. very frequent occurrence. All these birds knew that this man this morning gonna give

  221. us seed. He's gonna feed us. But even though it was so frequent

  222. that they were trained through that seed, they waited till the man walked away

  223. and got back on the front porch to come in and get the seed.

  224. And that's the way the devil will be when you saw that, when you're

  225. so that seed, when you plant that good fruit, when you plant that

  226. in your children and you let them be for a little bill you think they'll

  227. be all right. You don't continue to water it, you don't continue to

  228. pertilize and keep it up. As soon as you walk away, and as

  229. soon as you give him a little bit of time, the devil will come

  230. in and begin to devour the precious seed that you planted. In our context,

  231. we read about a mama that stepped up and she refused to let the

  232. birds and beast on her children and devour her precious seed. If you will.

  233. When riskma's two sons were taken to a heel and hang to pay for

  234. a broken valve on the notorious Team Sault. The Bible tells us that she

  235. put a sign clothed her rock, and she beat back the birds by day

  236. and the beast by night, and she refused to let him rest or her

  237. children. And from all my studying and research, most people were saying that

  238. that was a baddest space of six months that their father sat out there and

  239. refused to let the birds destroy her children and destroy her precious seat. I'm

  240. beginning to think, I know there was times that she had to eat.

  241. There was times that she had to run into town for something or come to

  242. her something, or maybe someone was bringing it to her. But maybe she

  243. left someone say hey, I'm going to run into the town for ten minutes.

  244. Can you watch she's can you watch my children? They're hanging up here,

  245. can you watch my children. I'm trusting you to watch my children and

  246. to protect them. And maybe she went up forever about to eat. She

  247. came back and she seen him on nasty bird over here on this one.

  248. What are you doing? I trusted you to watch my children. I trusted

  249. you to pray for my babies. We must be careful trusting people with our

  250. children. We must be careful, trusting that others are praying for our children.

  251. If we don't do it, it might not be getting done except for

  252. by Pastor and her first lady and a few out of the congregations. But

  253. we need some parents that was standing in the fields and fight back to the

  254. birds of wickedness, provision and comprovise. They're trying to devour our children and

  255. young people, and we need to fight back to the foul of worldliness.

  256. They're trying to crippit our churches and in our our children's lives. Call me

  257. old fashioned, a seeking tradition. That's okay, because I'm beating max some

  258. birds. You can call me old fashioned, that's okay. I'm standing for

  259. holiness. You can call me seek the tradition. That's okay. I'm gonna

  260. stand no matter what or what the world God says for what the Bible says.

  261. Bidle holiness. I'm not backing up. I'm got loosing it up.

  262. I said, I'm gonna sad in this day. Everybody tries to hang like

  263. it's okay to loosen up, lighting up. I'm gonna beat back the world

  264. the birds of compromise. I'm getting old enough now to look back and realize

  265. that when I used to visit churches and campy and and assemblies, and I'm

  266. hear Hawiians standards and and modesty and in the way we dress and in the

  267. way we live act, I used to hear these things. And now these

  268. same preachers and preachers wife they wants held to high value on holy living and

  269. used to hold a high value, won't being back the birth they used to

  270. hold a high value, are partaking their young people. They've backed up,

  271. they took them back you they said that, I don't see if they want

  272. anymore. And now these same preachers, pastors and pastors wife they wants held

  273. to high value on these things, are now allowing their children and people in

  274. their congregation that they have backed up, and they're allowing on the platform,

  275. and they change their interpretation of the scriptures and what they want stood against.

  276. They're now allowing on their children. They on their platform, and they're allowing

  277. as they never want to dream that they never want to dream would have been

  278. they would have allowed. They're allowing it because it's been so gradually. A

  279. lion, I should have looked it up, and it just came to my

  280. mind. I didn't think about it when I was studying. I don't think

  281. it pikes a lion too long too to devour a carcass. You know,

  282. I say, it could clean it pretty quick. These birds, these little

  283. seeds, it takes time, one seed at a time, a little pink

  284. here and a little little seed there, And that's what happens. It's gradually

  285. over time they begin letting up, they get loosening it up, and little

  286. by little they're falling away and they're backsliding. Little by little, someone has

  287. left. The birds come in and devour the seeds of righteous living in the

  288. holiness. Somebody didn't have a mind made up to beat back the birth of

  289. compromise. Every time our pastor gets up in this boo bit gets God knowing

  290. it at appointed don't preach what they says, what the saith the horn of

  291. God. He's taking a risk, but says against the word of the devil.

  292. He said, you ain't gonna have my see that I worked for you

  293. weren't gonna have the present. See that I saw that I pointed my best

  294. when tears and two, well, we need some parents to bass our pastor

  295. to take a risk, was says from behind you get at the risk of

  296. etermination and wrestle with resolved said, you're not having my babies. If God

  297. saved your soul, you must protect it. If God saved your children,

  298. you must do all. You can't get protected. If God sanctified you holding

  299. through the Trinity, you must protect it. If you have received the Holy

  300. Ghost, you must be back the birds of Monday, the lethargy, less

  301. us yell, stir up the gift that is within you. Just because we

  302. get the Holy ghosts don't mean that we have arrived and then we can sit

  303. back and not fight and not big as the birds. We must see fight

  304. a good fight. We must finish our coss. If we want to make

  305. killing our home, nor sure it. Build it up. Build yourself up

  306. on your ghosts, holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Put some

  307. value of the Holy ghost ings with him. You can't lose it. I

  308. heard that people losing it. I had one elder, legitimate tell me years

  309. and years ago, when you get the Holy ghosts, never lose it.

  310. He said. I had it and I lost it, he said, And

  311. I'm having a fight so hard to get it back. You're not going to

  312. prove which the Holy Ghost God gives you power if you choose to use the

  313. power. Too many good people, too many creatures, and Christians have failed

  314. and have failed fallen. When they have the Holy Ghost in their heart in

  315. their grasp, you must nurture it, start it up, don't let it

  316. tie. So I'm here at Bethel, have came to plant their children in

  317. good ground. Most of us here the sporting, are above the age of

  318. accountability. Most of the children here to sporting. My personal opinion, I'd

  319. say Brother Tids is about the closest one that's that's not past that age.

  320. If he ain't, I don't know. I think I've heard of people as

  321. the old five. I've heard of people getting blood ball born again, filled

  322. with the Holy ghost of five years old. Though I almost inclined to believe

  323. that you can be accountable around that age. Most of us in this service

  324. to sport at our past the age of accountability. And it don't matter what

  325. our parents do. They can sell all the good seed in you that they

  326. can. They can pour it into you every day, they can pour into

  327. you every hour. And if you don't guard as yourself, if you don't

  328. be back to birds yourself, they will steal you can be in a God

  329. in the house. You can be in a MoMA and daddy house. They

  330. praise till their needs a lot. It will hide. And if you don't

  331. guard the seed, your parents have done what they needed to do. They've

  332. got to in good ground. They've got to in a place where they toilet

  333. the soil on his tail, where the rocks are removed. And they're trying

  334. their best to be back the birth of time provice. They're trying their best

  335. to beat back everything that come and gets you. But if you don't guard

  336. it yourself, I feel the holy pool. If you don't put an effort

  337. into it, you'll slide back into the place where you once was. You'll

  338. slide back into the stony ground. You'll find thorns right around you, talking

  339. a light out of you. I don't believe any parents that truly cares about
