Divine Interference - Bro Jamie Ellington 10-1-2023

Well, I'm glad to be here this morning. It's always a pleasant come.

You was the ceremony yesterday, and I know how it feels. So

what you daught to walk down the aisle or this wouldn't be forever different?

And brother, how we got two boys and Lord Terry's and you see he

spent. We're gonna see them walk down the aisle too. But I'll tell

you what. I'll tell you what. But then grand grand babies come along

in shore feels good. And uh boy, I was thinking, uh the

other day. You know that the old saying is if I knew grandkids would

be this great, I ad do first well, I mean that's kind of

impossible. I told somebody, I said, well, you know what's better

than one grand baby? More amen? And the Lord's blessed us with more

amen, two and two on the way. And I don't know we might

I can't you up your brother have which But I do appreciate the church,

and I want to say thank you for being so so good to my daughter,

and you're a good place to worship astor for preaching retreat to her.

Appreciate my son in law and ask for a better young man to take care

of my daughter. And I'm just I got a thankful heart this morning,

I really do. I've got a thankful heart. But it is good to

be your golflay for him as I listened love why bend o God? Any

I don't over the first time I met with him probably in one of the

meetings out west somewhere, but seven years for two years ago where's that trifle?

A couple of years ago we were privileged to be and revived with them

that where he attend his brother again wrote wonderful, wonderful pastor great family there

And I tell you whether how those folks, if you don't intend to stay,

you better not go in the first place. They'll ain't on to you.

And I'd been there for about two and a half three weeks, and

my wife wasn't able to go with me, and they just kept on and

on, and finally I just had to say, I'm going home. It's

been a long time since I've been, you know, there with my wife,

and I don't I don't. I don't think that's a good thing to

do on a regular basis, but sometimes that's what we gotta do. But

after three weeks, I was ready to see my ride. I appreciate well

Grant his wife and their little boy there, and so it's so good to

be here this morning. And I don't know what time it is. I'll

try not to hold you a long. In all honesty, I thought I

was just gonna get up here after the Lord moved like he did, and

just maybe just say a few words. But both Tim said something in his

preaching and astor you you said something, and it was exactly exactly what I

feel like the Lord had laid on my heart or share anything. So I

want to read in the Book of Acts, chapter number chapter number twelve,

rather Acts chapter number twelve. And I will say, I think this is

a good set up it brother, I liked this. I did. And

you know it's just something about you know, when you have meeting pulling chairs

out, It just that feels good. So and got room for chairs and

so it's a good set up. And I like this. Acts chapter number

twelve, starting in verse number one, thank you for standing this morning.

Now about the time here at the king stretched forth his hands the best certain

of the church, and he killed James the brother on with the sword.

And because he saw it pleased to choose, he proceeded further to take Peter.

Also then were the days of unliven bread. And when he had apprehended

Helm, he had put him in prison and delivered him to delivered him to

four quadrons of soldiers to keep him, intending after Easter to bring him forth

to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison, but prayer was made

without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And when Herod would have

brought him forth the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers bound with two

chains, and the keepers before the doors kept the prison and behold, the

Angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined into prison,

and he smoke. Peter on the side raised him up, saying, their

eyes quickly, and his chains fell off from his hands. And the Angel

said under him, gird thyself, bind on thy sandals. And so he

did, and he saith under him, cast thy garment about thee, and

follow thee. And he went out and followed him, and wist not that

it was true which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a

vision. They were past the first and the second board, and came unto

the iron gate that leadeth unto the city, which opened to them of his

own accord. They went out and passed on through one street and forthwith the

Angel departed from him. And when Peter was now come to himself, he

said, now I know of a surety that the Lord had sent his angel

and has delivered me out of the hand of hearing and from all the expectation

of the people of the Jews. Amen, if you would this morning,

let's just go to the Lord in prayer, ask you to help his father.

Brother you said something. First, brother Tim said something. He said,

the devil intended. And then you said divine interference. And I feel

like the Lord of the devil my heart preached this morning old divine interference,

Amen, divine interference in our takes. This morning we're reading about Simon Peter,

and of course we remember him. He was that disciple that was fishing

by the sea of Galilee, and Jesus came by him and John his brother,

and called them and said, follow me, and I'll make you fishers

of men. Peter was also among that number of brother to him that she

preached about, that experienced that darkness, and that made all of the things

that the devil said after the crucifixion of Christ before they fully understood what was

taking place. And it was that same disciple that the Lord told before he

before he was crucified. Simon, Simon, the old Satan has desired to

have you, that he may sift you as weak. He went on to

say, But I have prayed for thee that our faith fell not when thou

art converted. He said, strengthen, thy brethren. This is that same

Simon Peter that denied the Lord three times, cursed and swore that he did

not know him. But it's also that same Simon Peter pastor that when the

Lord told, was it the Lord of the Angel that spoke to the wind.

Might have been the Angel that said, go tell his disciples, and

Peter that one that denied me that the devil was probably telling, you'll never

rise above your failure, and you go tell him that I go before them

into Galilee. And it was that saint Peter that received the baptism of the

Holy Ghost and stood up on that day and preached three thousand or five thousand.

However man he was on that particular occasion was saved. The Lord added

to the church, and starting that day and daily such as shouldn't be saved.

And now we find that same Simon Peter, and not only them.

But I just thought about where when Jesus asked the question who the men saved?

That I the son of man Almen, Simon Peter said, some say

you're going to badness, and Elijah and Jeremiah or one of the other prophets,

and and brother Samuel. He said, but who say you that I

am? Simon Peter said, thou art the Christ, the son of the

Living God. And Jesus starting you know this wasn't revealing you by flesh and

blood, but about my father, which is in heaven. And he said,

upon this rock, I'm gonna build my church, and the gates of

Hell shall not from el against it. Now we found this same Simon Peter

apprehended. It tells us in our text at the time when Herod the King

had stretched forth his hand to vex certain of the church, he killed James,

the brother of John, with the sword, And because he saw it

please the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. In other words,

his intentions was to do the same thing to Simon Peter as he'd done

to James, the brother of John, And goes on and says, and

when he had apprehended him, he'd put him in prison, delivered him to

four quadrons, or if I understand this correctly, sixteen soldiers. Now,

I'll tell you that's a message within itself that Herod deves Simon Peter so dangerous

that he took sixteen soldiers at least to to make sure that he did not

get away a man. And the Bible said, intending notice intending that word

inten means to have in mind. It needs that he had a plan,

He had a particular purpose that he was going to bring to pass in the

life of Simon Peter. His design was to silence him and destroy him and

hinder his voice from being heard, preached the Gospel ever again, intending a

man. And I'll tell you something this morning. The devil has an inten

intention for every one of us as well. You know what, I believe

that. That's that's what Jesus was telling him. I already mentioned that.

That's what Jesus was telling him when he said, Satan has desired to have

you. You know the ones the devil has for the road cap intentions all

to destroy your life. He meant to tear you down, to bring you

down, whether it be through persecution, whether it be through conflict, whether

it be through sickness, or whatever the case may be. The devil has

the intentions a man of destroying you, sitting you as we a mind.

He intended a man I like that, intending after Easter to bring him forth

to the people. And the Bible said, and notice the place that Peter

was in. But as he was kept int prison, he was found a

man. The Bible said. He was between two soldiers, and he had

changed on it. He was in a dark place if you will. In

fact, the said and the timing of this scripture was in the night for

the team. I don't know, but it might have been the fourth watch

of the night that this thing unfolds in the life of Simon Peter. But

the Bible says so he was kept in that prison at night between two soldiers

found with two change and before the guard that they were killed, keepers up

the prison. But I like what the Bible said in the previous verse,

verse number five. Peter was kept in prison, but prayer was made without

ceasing up the church unto God bore him. Recame what the alyghost had to

say this morning, the pastor and men, if we're gonna get through the

house, when I divide to gather in prayer, I listen. I believe

you're getting lighted in what you believe. But how that you're united, and

you're united in your non rim nothing but all are we dennit it up in

prayer up the way we ought to me When I read about this church,

it was a prayer church. God's Church is a sounding church. God's Church

is a worshiping church. But before we can ever be a worshipers in truth

of worship him, in spirit and in truth. We gotta be a praying

church before we can ever be a sounting church, at a running church and

a rejoice in church. We've got to be a praying church. You remember,

prayer to be a cause God the Lord sent him to the upper room.

And then all of a sudden, he's all continued standfastly. Hey,

may they made in prayer and supplication appertun days according to history, they praying

until the Holy Gost came. I read after them the baptism, and when

Peter preached and souls were saved, and they all can tenua standfastly, and

the apostle startrine and fellowship preaching, got bread and in prayers. Saymen,

this church is a praying church. Amen. And before we can be anything

else, we've got to be a praying church. And I tell you aly

corporately, but individually, we've got to be a praying people. O.

The Mother said. They prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God

for him. And then they put Him before themselves. And then they put

the Lord before themselves, and they begin to pray and seek God. Hey,

I'm glad for a praying church. And I know what I know the

reason I'm here. It's not only because God ain't lad. Mother Jeremi has

been faithful to me. But I'm glad for a faithful family of God,

that grace for me, that casts my name out to pass right over.

You've taught my name out in prayer Church. I know even God's moved on

you, and you've prayed for the American family, and I thank you for

that. I thank you for letting me enough and loving God enough to put

me. Look for yourselves in your own prayer. Lives ain't made in a

session for Simon Peter. Now I really don't know, because the bobble don't

say. But I don't believe Simon Peter was afraid? How can you sleep

in a home like things? Right? But can I preach it this way?

Can I preach it this way? He was in that dark place,

and that spirit of slumber come upon him. Sometimes when you are in the

midst of the trial, when you're in the midst of the battle, when

you're in the heat of the fire, a man, or if we're not

careful, that spirit of slumber a man will ease upon us. Brother rode

Camp, and we're not careful we'll get still and we'll become idle, and

we'll say, what's to you? Said? Try, and what's to you?

Said? Praying? What's to you said? Preaching? What's to you?

Said? Whatever we do for God? And it looks like it,

said babe. And we get still, and we become idle. And there

that spirit of slubber against all. But take, I say, man,

a man got him. He fell asleep. Oh. I told you about

the place he was in. He was in the prison. But I want

you to look at the message, the message that he heard in that dark

place. Well, being in the midst of all the soldiers and changed to

change held him captive. I want you to hear the message. At behold,

the Angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined,

and the priss empy. It may be dark where you're at, but I

tell he's still the light of the world. I say, he's still the

lights of the world. Man, he is the light. Oh think about

that, amen, the same one when the earth was well formed and morn,

and darkness was upon the face of the deed, and the spirit of

God moved, and God said, what first to land? There? The

light was the same one came on that stepped in the Simon Peters present in

the Simon Peters trial. And the first thing he brought empty that situation was

a light. I want to tell somebody here this morning that's by the tip

already praised. If they be dark where you're at. But he's stay all

the light of the world, I said, he stay the light of the

world. Behold the Angel of the Lord came upon him and a light time

in the prison. And he spoke Peter on the side. In other words,

when he spoke Peter on the side, hey man, he was saying,

wake up, wake up. I feel like telling somebody here this morning,

wake up, Oh wake up, even little that depressing amen, spirit

of slumberer, Amen, keep your dawn. But oh I I can.

He touched him up. He saw a liner and he touched him up.

And I'll tell you, I feel like, amen this morning. That was

intentions is to destroy you, And that was intentions this to silence you and

read it and nothing. But there's a God here that's sting a light.

There's a God here that's touching your heart. I've already found her that touch

of God this morning. I didn't even have to get up to your free

for the Lord already touched a hard hey man, he touched him. He

smote a moverside. He said, hey, wake up baby. Oh if

you're asleep this morning, hey man, if you don't wake up, you're

gonna miss the miracle. If you don't wake up, you're gonna miss the

blessing. Oh yes, I feel like God it's got something for you this

morning, hey man. But if you don't wake up, you're gonna miss

it. Hey brother, I know that's a good crowd in. There's a

great spirit of beauty here, but there's always one or two like or pray

or maybe four or five, hey man, that they ain't getting what they

click get. A'm gonna cause their sleep, man, I said, their

sleep man, But I feel gonna touch of God. If he said it's

time to wake up, it's time. It's to wake kup. Oh,

I tell you this morning, I don't miss them last singer. Don't miss

the break through. I don't miss the head ainger. Don't miss the answer

because are sleeping this morning. You know what the Lord does like he has

a see wake up? Time to get up? Hey man, Oh a

wake up. And not only did he say wake up when he smote him

on my side. But then I was saying as he raised him up,

saying, oh rise, he said, wake up and get up. Hey,

but near awake. But it's time to stand to your feeling and say,

hey, this is my morning. I need God, I need his

help, I need his time, so I need his grace and I,

ah, what I miss That ain't bad. I just thought about this fast.

Sometimes baby would hurt this morning, the seriousness of your situation. There's

always somebody that's very at a dark place, but they're like, well,

my, my, my problem may quite as bad as theirs. And I

don't want to make this service about me where there's somebody else that's got a

greater meet. Would I tell you what the Holy Ghost has already done.

He's made this service about every one of us. And whatever your need is,

and wherever you are at this morning, your problem may not be a

serious son, that's what our pastors share with us this morning done. But

it's a short problem to you. It's serious and almost had me happen?

Can you stop? Which cannot be trusted with the feelings but our infirmities.

But at all points was tempted like as we are yet without seeing enough.

And he said, because of bad let us stare for come boldly, I

about to the throne of grace. It may not be cancer. It might

be depressive, but it might be better this son. It might be a

maybe I had age, orn't something like that. But every it don't matter.

This service is about you. I tell you. When Jesus died on

town ray close to the Dad, I see him back to the Father,

and every makes intercession. He might' every service about every one of us this

morning. Whatever you need, But you gotta get up. You've been sitting

too long. Gon't ask you how many times it's gonna take for the Lord

to come by, right, can smite you and say, hey, it's

time to move out. For that past it's time to get up. Oh

oh, I feel like telling somebody you need to rise up this morning.

He said, all right, pastor, But I said that you need to

rise up this morning now. But not only did he say wake up and

rise up, but the Bible said, listen. He said, my brother

change here. Hey, but the change are still on. Hey, But

I'm still by old and I'm still in a deep dark place. So oh,

but the Bible said when he who woke up and when he stood up.

But hey, let me ask you this this morning. Have you ever

tried to help somebody up and didn't morn him? Somebody that you reach down

to each other home, move up, and they didn't move? Didn't wait

right? Then? Wait right? Even a even a child that weighs twenty

or thirty pounds when it gets in one of the pachels right, and it

don't want you picking them up. That thirty pounds baby child can feel like

a hundred pounds. Right. And I think sometimes when we're down over yeah,

he said, I use those when they sit down. Go man,

Oh, I'm gonna try to help me up, but don't you move chiming

get up? Oh lord, you see these chains on my hands. No

Lord, I'm said, Simon, get up, Simon, get up.

Oh but you know what the Bible said when he got up. Facts,

when the trains spell off for change to fell on, paul off, God's

make for you to get out, Paula. I can't get up. Look,

there's change on my hands. There's change on my fa. But she

wants you can. You can't break change, but it rise I say it

to rise up And as soon as he rose up and a pastor, the

change fell off. I wonder how long get the carn those changes? I

wonder how long get that under nature? Earth? Enough your trial? That's

mort en up, I say, that's smart enough. Wake up and rise

up and let God break change that are in your lock. You ever did

a shell up here with the people who don't. If you don't get up,

first sought is escaped? Has a bird have a snare of the day?

The snare is broken. I'll tell you this morning, Amen God.

You say I'm waiting on God. No you're not right, No you're not

How many times he touched you? How many times as you woke you up?

But how many times like Elijah, you say, rise and eat,

Hey man, wake up Elijah her eyes and eat. But you don't understand

God, I'm going through it like nobody else has ever been through it.

Up and don't make a difference. Rise and eat, you know, Amen?

And I chat this morning now, and I feel the Lord in this

little bit? Hey, I feel like somebody said that that closer right through.

I like somebody's that Clothy Son. Ain't I got somebody's that clothis son.

Ain't man to your miracle? This smarting, but you out of me

well and not talk all for the man. And that's what he did,

not even fully understanding what God was doing. He was going for it,

which I don't know what God's doing in my I don't understand. It just

don't make sense to me. It may not make sense, But oh,

I tell you, when he says, go forth, you can understand me.

When he say, any week up and he says get up. Yeah,

and he says, go for it. That's all you need to understand.

That may not understand. You may not understand all of the situations and

the details it's going on in your life right now. And if you're like

me, you're trying to tell it up, figure it out. They may

to make sense of it all. But instead of that comforting you, that

only makes you realize how much more helpless you are. But ah, you

know what you can't understand makes your God that loves you. That's a god

that cares, and it's got a message this morning. And ain't the first

time you heard it? You vergas man? A god pitch it over an

opera? Can now wake up? Can? I don't part? Don't stay

away? You're around. They never another to accept the FNNA follow itself sorrow

like that passage. Father take something, but that gray said, God went

off straight. Just strange, just strange. But I make highway towards high

the Angel. But thought he saw a vision. When they were passed the

first and second board, they came to the iron gate that leadeth unto the

city, which opened to them of his own. And they went out and

passed on through one street and four with the Angel departed. And when Peter

saw when when Peter was come to himself, he said, now, ah,

no, he'd never known it if he never experienced it, hey Man.

And so God allows us to go through places like that, places like

we've never been, so that we can experience victories like we've never had before

in all of our lives. And he says, now I know now,

I understand now what God has done. And I just feel like you may

have questions and you may not understand. And I go, even though Pastor

hey Man taught us with you, I know there's sometimes questions. Probably we

can say now, no, Oh, would you like to be able to

say that? This morning Paul said, I know, and I have believed,

and I have persuade at up that he's able to keep that which I'm

committed under him against that day. Oh, I would love for somebody to

be able to lay this twice. This morning I be able to say,

now I know I read about doors that were open because he heeded the message,

wake up, rise up, go forth. That door opened up,

and he says, now I know of a surety, no doubts. What's

so different? What did Paul say? And we know that all things worked

together for good to them who love God, to them who are the called

according to his purpose. Oh, now I know the Lord that's of assurrety,

that the Lord has sent his angel and had to liven me out of

the hand of hearing and from all the expectation of the Jews. And other

words he was saying, the devil expected to do this, the enemy expected

to do that. The Adversphari's intentions were. But thank God for divine interference.

Thank God for a divine interruption that stood in the way of what the

devil wanted to do. And thank he used what the devil did to make

me better and make me stronger and build my faith. Now read more more

scripture, no more turn ever to get back. I'm sorry, I can't

help believe it. Don't let that probably solves twin end. The Lord hear

THEE in the day of trouble, the name of the God of Jacob,

defend thee, send THEE help of the sanctuary, and strengthened the alaxe and

ilie. That's what the church was a doing and were binding to get pastor

we're praying with you. Are you gonna have to bury this thing? Ain't

much, But you've got a brother in close after life that's gonna be calling

that boy's name. I'm gonna return the favorite. Oh yeah. The Lord

hear THEE, the name of the God of Jacob, defend thee, send

THEE help of the sanctuary, strengthened the aleaxe. I and remember all thy

offerings, accept thy birth, sacrifice and sela, grant THEE according to thy

own heart of and fulfill all thy counsel. God, you do what you

see best from me, because you know what you're doing. He goes on

to say, we will rejoice in my salvation and in the name of our

God, we will set up our manners. The Lord fulfill all the petitions.

Now, don't just sound very much like what Simon Peter said first number

six. Now know I that the Lord saveth is anointed, and he will

hear him from his Holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

And in some trust in charits, some in horses, but we will remember

the name of the Lord, our God. They are brought down and fallen.

I just ran after that where Heron fell and the wards hate him up.

But all he said, those that are right and say save Lord,

let the King hear us where and the way call it man, he said,

They are wrote down and fallen, but we are is a gaming and

stand up. God can give you the strength to stand in a time like

this. And I appreciate what your pastor said. The reason why that him

and his precious family are still standing as great a man as you are,

and as strong and as godly a man as you are. The real reason

you're standing is because God is giving you the strength standing. We don't have

to take the tuck here at church. Oh, that's what the devil wants.

That's the devil's intentions. I'm glad for a God. I will turn

over your pastor and laugh for a God that interrupts devil's in teaching. I

was all over the al we gonna say, but God, damn it.

wanted this morning. Do you have a need in your life? God's moving

around here. You've seen God touch, but it just didn't get what you

needed. I pray, I pray if you, if you don't get to

help that you need this morning, you won't be able to blame it on

this princher back here. You won't be able to blame it on on me,

and I know I'm nothing. You especially won't be able to blame on

this man right here, because this man pulls for you and pours hisself out

for you. You don't get to help that you mean, it's gonna be

your own fun. Yeah, but all if you respond to that touch.

Yeah, And as the lords are reaching now, who's that saying? Gets

on? Was that? Brother? Houston Woodson gets on? Keep reaching up

to the reaching down hand. And as he's reaching down, he catched by

the hand. Oh, you start rising up like a man that was lame

at the beautiful case. Yeah. Oh, Simon Peter reach staying on and

said and then Jesus h it's something bo oh and hold. I don't even

Simon Peter anything but the moods of that man leapt. Oh, I tell

you don't can give you another joy again, that you can leap for joy

give it to you. I sat down, get it to you. Hey

man, don't have this moment that's about Oh my bag ye out, I

see I could Lord help you help this silence? This morning? A man?

I wonder would you like to pray? These orders are open, These

orders are open. Would you like to pray? Oh, let the Lord

help you today? He Let the Lord help you today. Let the Lord

God will move with the bed another day. God will move when I

lost my way. God will be. God will be when I call his

name. God will move in the bed night out. God will movides money,
