Eleventh chapter and the twenty second verse. We certainly miss brother Dwayne and Sister
-
Cheryl this morning. It breaks my heart to know that she has been hospitalized
-
yet again. In our hearts are morning this morning. Their absence, I'm
-
telling you, it makes me burdened to not see them sitting there and their
-
places on those views. I appreciate that couple so much. It was my
-
privilege to bring them together as a couple. After service one night we had
-
a wedding. They had got saved, and they said they had been living
-
together for several years and they said, what we're doing is not right.
-
The preacher, would you perform a wedding ceremony? And we had the most
-
beautiful wedding ceremony after church. This couple got saved under our ministry. Sister
-
Cheryl received the Holy Ghost one night during a service in one of our store
-
front buildings. And they've just been great friends of the Bithelhonness Church that we've
-
missed them so much. Have you found Hebrews Chapter number eleven Are you looking
-
at verse number twenty two? Brother Nathaniel, First Corinthians, Chapter number two,
-
Verse number nine, Brother Jesse Philippians, Chapter number one and verse number
-
twenty, Sister Howell did not know what I would be preaching on this morning.
-
Her and I have been ministering together, side by side, at times
-
back to back, fighting the hordes of Hell, helping people get away from
-
the holds of hell. For seventeen years we have labored together. There has
-
not been a time that we have went to church that I have told her
-
the topic or the title of the sermon that I would be preaching, including
-
when we were evangelizing some and traveling from church to church when I first began
-
my ministry. Is that corrects as to how that has not been one time
-
that I've told her what I intended to preach on. She's told me I'm
-
praying for you. I've told her before, please pray for me. I've
-
requested that numerous times over the years. I've never told her the topic,
-
never gave her a title of the sermon, never gave her any direct of
-
or direction in order to deceive people, to make them think that somehow the
-
service is just flowing. We have trusted the Lord. We have totally relied
-
upon him to link us together, to yoke us up, and she has
-
been a wonderful partner in the ministry. She did not know what I would
-
be preaching on this morning as she led that song found in the Red Back
-
Hymnal on page number fifty four. Have faith in God, now, those
-
of you that saw me walk out of that office, I came with a
-
servant specific for this congregation this morning, dealing with the final moments of faith.
-
Faith fine on moments. That is not the title of this sermon.
-
But I have heard it said for years. For years it has been said,
-
facing death is the acid test of our faith. Facing death is the
-
acid test of our faith. I want brother Nathaniel to stand and read First
-
Corinthians, chapter number two and verse number nine. But as it is written,
-
I have not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
-
of man the things with God hath prepared for them that love him. How
-
many of you are thankful that the Lord has prepared something for you, Brother
-
Jesse Philippians, chapter number one and verse number twenty. According to my earnest
-
expectation and my hope that and nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with
-
all boldness, as always so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
-
whether it be by life or by death. Amen. So whether it
-
be by life or by death, may Christ be magnified in my body Faith's
-
vital moments. I want to preach to you a sermon the Holy Ghost title
-
the puppet Pharaoh. Let's stand for the reading of our golden text Hebrews,
-
chapter number eleven and verse number twenty two. The Bible says by faith Joseph
-
when he died may mention of the departing of the children of Israel and gave
-
commandment concerning his bones. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we thank you for
-
the opportunity to be in the house of the Lord this morning. I do
-
thank you for that unspeakable joy that we have been made to feel as we
-
gather together and Your spirit has moved upon this people. I thank you for
-
the goodness and the grace of the Holy Ghost as he's met us here today.
-
I pray that you would annoyed this thy servant, said a God at
-
my mouth, and help me to say those things you would happen to say
-
nothing for less and nought to hears of this type people, that they might
-
hear what the Spirit saith unto this church. Let it be a sermon specific
-
for this group of people. We pray, let the say into this blessed
-
book, not my words, God, your words. Let them go below
-
the shoulders, let them get in that heart and soul and spirit. I
-
pray God, let them not be hearers, only let them heed these words
-
and be doers. We pray that we would depart this place joyfully and not
-
sorrowfully. In Jesus' name, in the church said hey, man, look
-
at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, are you a puppet on
-
God's strength? Amen? How many of you feel like you're a puppet on
-
the Lord's string that he is in control of your life. Our text is
-
found in a New Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Hebrews.
-
This writing was directed and delivered to believers who would come under the pressure
-
of extreme persecution. No one within these United States of America's borders understand what
-
it is to be under the enormous pressure or extreme persecution. There is nobody
-
in these United States of America that fully understands what it is to be under
-
extreme persecution. I know that there are some Christian believers who are married to
-
unbelieving spouses who persecute them incessantly, and there is no doubt that is a
-
horrible experience. There is no doubt. There are children that are trying to
-
attend worship services as much as they can, and mom and Daddy are addicts
-
of the world. They have the spirit of the world in their lives.
-
It's prevalent in their life. And there's little children that are writing to and
-
from church on the bus. They're part of the bus ministry, and they
-
are undoubtedly experiencing persecution. But there's nobody in the walls of this United States
-
of America. There's nobody under the security of this nation. This national defense
-
system that we have is wonderful. We're blessed. I'm telling you. I
-
know that people are persecuted for their faith. But these people had come under
-
extreme persecution, especially the Jewish believers, because they had departed from the religion
-
that they were so comfortable and to place it in the name of that religion
-
was Judaism. These believers had escaped Judaism and had found liberty in the New
-
Covenant of our Lord Jesus Christ, and they were being pressured to turn around
-
and embrace their former love Judaism. There is no doubt, they had a
-
great love for Judaism. They loved Jehovah, They loved the commandments or the
-
Law of Moses and God. The law of Moses, it was ultimately the
-
law of God. They appreciated Jehovah. But their brothers and sisters, some
-
of them literally their own siblings. Not only are their brothers and sisters of
-
Judaism, but literally their own siblings, felt like they had forsaken them,
-
that they had abandoned them because they had walked away from Judaism into the fulfillment
-
of Judaism, which is this new found religion, Christianity. And so I
-
feel like people hear this morning, you have experienced a progression in your Christian
-
walk. Your faith has increased. We know that when we need a faith
-
increase, there are various ways that we can do that. Faith cometh by
-
hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If we're in a Bible believe
-
in Bible preaching church, we will have a faith increase. As we hear
-
those servants that are servants specific for us as believers, we could also have
-
a faith increase. It could grow in our lives. Brother Nathaniel, as
-
we build it up by praying in the Holy ghosts. This is the faith
-
chapter. Our golden text is found in the chapter known as the Heroes,
-
or I mean the Hall of Heroes, the Hall of the heroes of faith.
-
There's people in this building that are somebody's hero in the faith. I
-
can look at Sister Wooton and realize that there are younger sisters that would consider
-
her their heroine. Not the drug, but I think you call a female
-
hero a heroin or something like that. And so we look at that and
-
say, Wow, what a wonderful thing it is for people to have such
-
a person in their life. We look at Brother Nathaniel this morning as he
-
plays the lead guitar, as he teaches Sunday School, and we say,
-
there is no doubt he is some little boys hero. Members of this congregation
-
text me or message me, or tell me face to face often, pastor
-
you are our hero. And so these people, they were very familiar with
-
the heroes of their faith, namely Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.
-
Joseph will be the central figure of this morning's service outside of the Lord
-
Jesus Christ. He's gonna be the focal point of this morning's message. These
-
people had abandoned their former lifestyles and practices in order to do what Jesus Christ
-
had mandated. They wanted to be obedient to the heavenly calling. They simply
-
wanted to obey his words, and they did not desire that anybody have a
-
problem with it. But the truth remains that anytime somebody decides to listen to
-
God, heed his words, obey his voice, there's gonna be people that
-
have a problem with it. I remember when I first got saved, when
-
I walked out of the church house, I could not wait to tell people
-
about my conversion. I couldn't wait to tell them that the grass looked greener,
-
it was a brighter shade of green. I couldn't wait to tell them
-
that the sky looked blue, or it was a brighter shade of blue.
-
But Brother start, I saw looks of disappointment, smiles that were on faces
-
turned upside down. They looked at me with those frowns and said, I
-
don't understand what you're talking about. What in the world do you mean?
-
Are you telling us you're no longer gonna be our friend? Are you telling
-
us you're no longer gonna do the things that we used to do together.
-
And Brother Nathaniel, I learned real quickly that all of the godly people in
-
Christ Jesus suffered persecution, whether it be extreme persecution or slight persecution. Maybe
-
it's a verbal persecution, a verbal slap in the face. But we're gonna
-
come under persecution. And these people that have been Judaizers that are now Christians
-
because they're imitating a manual, there's so much like Jesus Christ. They are
-
being persecuted, and there is an enormous pressure for them to go back to
-
Judaism. How many of you have ever felt a pressure in your soul to
-
go back to the world that you once lived in. I know that I
-
have been saved thirty years now. There's not been one time that I have
-
ever felt a strong desire to go back into that world that I escape.
-
There's not been one time since the howl that I have put the fetters back
-
on my ankles, put the shackles back on my hands, and reached and
-
closed the gate of my prison upon myself. I am thankful tonight for what
-
God has done for my soul. I'm thankful for what God has done for
-
my life. I'm thankful for what God has done for my wife and for
-
our family. I have no intentions on turning back or turning around. But
-
for some reason there was an extreme pressure on these people to turn back.
-
Unto James, that judae Ism. And so this author of this book of
-
the Bible, the Book of Hebrews, he begins to talk to the judai
-
Isers and tell them of the superiorrity of Jesus Christ. He goes on to
-
say, Jesus is so much better than the angels. He goes on to
-
say that Jesus is so much better than Moses, that you have all this
-
confidence in. He goes on to explain to them that God, Jesus Christ
-
himself was the lord of men like Abraham and Moses. And you know what,
-
Brother Nathaniel, It's a sad thing what a preacher or an apostle,
-
such as the apostle Paul, has to remind anybody that professes to be a
-
child of God of how much better they have it now than they did when
-
they lived out in a life scholarship, or how much better they have it
-
now within Christendom than they did in Judaism. I feel like I'm living my
-
best life right now. I thank God that if any man be in Christ,
-
he is a new creature, old things that passed away. Behold,
-
all things have become news. They've embraced this new religion called Christianity. If
-
you'll look through this chapter of the Bible, you will see names that you
-
recognize. If you're a Bible student and a Bible reader, there will be
-
names that just stand out to you. Immediately your mind will recite some of
-
the details of their life story. I appreciate this eleventh chapter of the Book
-
of Hebrews again. In this chapter it is the Hall of Heroes. For
-
many years I heard preachers call it the Hall of faith. Without a doubt,
-
this is a record of numerous faithful ain't to have gone on before us
-
to receive their rewards. This chapter probably meant as much to the early believers
-
as it does us now. Apparently, believers must remember that each one of
-
us must build and stand on a foundation of faith. That's somebody say,
-
hey, man, how many in this building this morning? Contestify by raising
-
your hand and say, I have found the Lord to be faithful. I've
-
found the Lord to be faithful to me. I've found the Lord to be
-
faithful to my family. I found the Lord to be faithful in all things.
-
Each service that we attend, and every day that we live in.
-
The Lord provides us with confidence and the assurance that what he promised will be
-
experienced. If you read this chapter this afternoon, after you've gone and eat
-
lunch, and you go hold and return to your private places, read this
-
chapter and you will see that the Lord was faithful with what he had promised.
-
These people may or may not have experienced everything they anticipated and everything they
-
expected to experience. But the Lord's promise was true. He was faithful to
-
execute it, and somebody at some point experienced the blessing. If you look
-
at your neighbor right now, what you say to them, Hey, neighbor,
-
God will keep his word. We cannot assure that person that God will
-
keep our word. We cannot assure that person that we will keep our word.
-
We see couple stand before the preacher as he officiates their wedding ceremony,
-
and they promised that they will be with each other until death do we part?
-
They say, they make everybody in the build and believe their words.
-
They give everybody confidence and assurance that their words are true. But then we
-
find out ten fifteen twenty years later that they were not willing to that to
-
fruition. They were not willing to see that until death do we part?
-
Now? If you look at the words of this man, Joseph, you
-
will notice that he is speaking these words at the time of his death.
-
Or what faithful and fulfilling words they are that he is speaking. Again,
-
look at that golden text. Do you see what he's wrote there? The
-
Bible said by faith? Joseph when he died he may mention of the departing
-
of the children of Israel, and gave commandment concerning his bones. Why what
-
was Joseph's thinking about? You will remember that the Lord defied himself as the
-
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You will remember the Lord identified himself
-
as the God of those patriarchs of the faith, the God of the Hebrews,
-
the God of that specially chosen people and live boasted in that. Wouldn't
-
that be wonderful to hear the Lord say, I am the God of Justin
-
road cap, I'm the God of Caleb road cap, I'm the God of
-
Ethan road cap. That would be so wonderful for the road cap family to
-
hear God label himself in such a manner. You know what Joseph was holding
-
on to in the final moments of his life as he faced death. He
-
wasn't holding on to all of the blessings that he himself had experienced. No,
-
He's holding on to the promise that had been given to his great grandpa
-
Abraham. That's exactly what he's doing right here. He's speaking out and saying,
-
great Granddaddy had something promise to him, and I believe it to be
-
true with every fiber of my being. Even though I am the puppet Pharaoh,
-
I'm the pharaoh that He, more than God, has put in the
-
throne of Egypt. I still believe in my God. I still believe in
-
my people, I still believe in my family, and I still believe in
-
the promise that God gave my great grandpa. How many have you know that
-
we were given a promise. The promise has manifested in the second chapter of
-
the Book of As God promised her that he would pour out his spirit upon
-
all flesh. He did not give us a timeline of when that experience would
-
expire. I said, he did not give us a day of the time
-
when that experience would expire. I feel like that promise has been from one
-
generation to the next. And that's what Joseph was holding on to. He
-
said, I might have been displaced from my father Jacob, I might have
-
been removed from the little village to the town that I lived in by divine
-
providence that even though I've enjoyed all the pleasures of Egypt, I still got
-
a desire in my heart to live in the land of my Nativity. I
-
still have a desire in my heart to be known as that son of Jacob.
-
I want to be known as the great grandson of Joseph. I'm not
-
ashamed to tell you this morning that this world is not my home and my
-
king is not Lucifer. I do not pay obciency to any king of this
-
world, no principality of the air Miser, no, ma'am, that is
-
not to my leadership. I claim God Almighty to be my lord. Even
-
though we live in the midst of a pagan society, even though we live
-
in the mister pagan people, I can tell you that the God of Abraham
-
is my God. I could tell you that the God of Joseph is my
-
godless people, Hi, dispuilding. You've never considered these words the piper words.
-
As Joseph spoke at the time of his death, that he said these
-
words, he said, take me out of here. There's gonna be a
-
coffin. Leave the land of Egypt. One day he sided it with me,
-
the bones or the puppet Pharaoh. Yes he had been risen of power
-
in the land of Egypt. But this was a man that was on God's
-
string. The problem of people today who in our churches is they don't want
-
to be on God's strength. They don't want to be a mouth piece of
-
God. They don't want to be an uncle and lie. They don't gonna
-
walk when he says walk. They don't want to talk when he says talk.
-
They don't want to say the things that he tells them to say.
-
They don't want to do the things that he told him to do. What
-
about Joseph, Truly he was an honorable man, But he again as the
-
puppet prince, I said, he again as the puppet prince. As a
-
young man, he dreamed dreams. As a young man, he had visions
-
the spear of Abraham and got off on him. I want you to know
-
He's don't have to stop for any house there. Isaac can't here chacom he
-
can continue you all to you, Joseph. I'm preaching to you, Joseph
-
this morning to tell you it's okay to dream. It's on kata of the
-
evil, that things were meant for you. The things were intended for you.
-
Is there anybody in this house this morning? The crickets are preaching better
-
my preaching. I appreciate you being with us this morning. Thank God for
-
his spirit, thank God for the holy ghost that we feel. I want
-
you to know that God has always been faithful. The Bible said, the
-
Lord is not slack concerning his promises. The words of the Lord are sure.
-
The words of the Lord are true. As we focus on this eleventh
-
chapter the wrick of Hebrews for a moment, allow some of the Hebrews and
-
those people that are heroes in this hall of faith to come into your mind's
-
eye. Who just came to mind? Was it Abraham for the lady folks?
-
Was it Sarah for the men? Was it Noah for the little girls?
-
Was it the wife of Noah? Who has come to mind? As
-
I'm preaching this morning, people that had received a promise half right to people
-
that had hurt from the Lord. They knew they had heard from the Lord,
-
and they had been displaced from lands and went into other lands. They
-
had received word that they would have the seed that would populate to and it
-
would be as though it was the grains of the seashore, and it would
-
be as tho it was. Are the stars in the heavens? I want
-
to ask you a question. Did people laugh at these people when they receive
-
such promises and whenever they begin to talk about it? How many people laughed
-
at Norah as he preached what God had told him to preach. How many
-
people laughed at Mary Has She tried to explain, I did not conceive this
-
child. And you know, jun Me, I did not conceive this child
-
out of when Bacha. I'm telling you it was God that put to this
-
in me. If God has put it in you, then God has been
-
the initiator. Then God is the author. And if he is the author,
-
the gospel writer said, he is the author and the finisher of our
-
faith. Sometimes when our bacca is up against the roll, we feel the
-
pressure of the final moments of our faith. I've heard preachers preaching for years
-
say that the righteous die well, that they got over, or that they
-
die young. They die well, they God speaking words of faith. I
-
said, they die with confidence and assurance that God save him, and that
-
God the God of beautiful words. And they're not They their word with a
-
like maker herp to the promise that God give a meal as Abraham. They
-
saw a city that have foundations, a city who's fielder and maker is God.
-
It does not matter how much the world rejects Jesus and he tects our
-
natures. The anitator, I have chosen him. He has chosen me,
-
and I will go with him. Man. If that's like the do it
-
being a liar, sir, if it's like the truth in me, if
-
it's through a fiery foda. So if it's like Paul, do it chop
-
block, I will God brankfa, then I will God good. I said,
-
I will God prank Paul, and I will God yead. For years
-
it has been said facing death is the ass of our faith. There's so
-
many wonderful things that could be said about Joseph. You know, he's the
-
dreamer as a young man, He's thinking things of most young men do not
-
think anything about he's spiritually minded. He's hearing from the Lord, Brother Roquat,
-
he is somebody because he dreamer, and because he's hearing from the Lord,
-
he is somebody that is persecuted. The puppet prince was persecuted, the
-
mouthpiece of God, the one that is revealing the secrets of the Lord.
-
The Bible said that the Lord revealed his secrets under his servants, the prophet.
-
And so this puppet on the street, he's just that. He's a
-
puppet. He's a mouthpiece of God. He's a prophet. And that's what
-
Jesus said concerning John. There's another puppet out there in the wilderness. You
-
hear his voice, and you know what he's doing. He's a preaching the
-
truth. I said, John was preaching the truth and preaching a message of
-
repention. Jesus said, what did you go out there to see a red
-
shaken you? We know reed, time God runs his hand up into our
-
mouth, it gets a whole of our now that we up and behind it,
-
that he feels the heath. We are not a whimsy, Pappa,
-
it is not. It is out in the same I'm a puppet prince on
-
the norm, I said, Tom, he said he's starting out her.
-
I said, no, piece o God, I said something to say.
-
Look at the puppet prince. Listen to what he's saying. He's warning a
-
patchwork clerk. He's warning a patch walk clerk trying to listen to that crumpet
-
prince. Early on, somebody was saying, there's something special about that boy.
-
There's something powerful about that boy. Jacob knewitt. He said, Mama,
-
there's some special about our boy. Who was Joseph's mother, Rachel,
-
beautiful Rachel, beautiful Rachel and his baby brother Benjamin running around. He want
-
the young, but he was the son of Rachel. I want you to
-
know that if you are the offspring of God and Rachel, spiritual Rachel,
-
you are blessed. You enjoyed privilege. Yes, you do divine favor.
-
I know that Joseph's father, Jacob showing partiality to Joseph by giving him that
-
patchwork. If you want that quilt for a coat that have been pieced together
-
as a masterpiece of colors, Mother Jesse, I'm telling you God puts the
-
puppet together piece by piece. God is the one that does deceives. God
-
is the one that does the design. God is the one that feels the
-
mouth. I don't care what the puppet looks like. I don't care their
-
stature. I don't care their hair color. I don't care about the tone
-
or the skin her. I don't care about the messa. But Preacher,
-
when you stand in the pool bed and you claim to be the public in
-
the hand of God, we're gonna do here. They're not. You've been
-
tweeting her dreams of working of my God. We're gonna know her, whether
-
or not you might be reason to the Lord. We're gonna know whethers not.
-
What's a saying that here it came from God. You protell the difference,
-
pretail, somebody's saying whatever they want to say that in my peace of
-
God. We'll thank God. There is a force being heard. Thank God.
-
Joseph, Joseph. All of these great men of God found in this
-
eleventh chapter, all of these representatives of God, all of these heroes and
-
the Hall of Faith, all of these precious people. They suffered persecution,
-
and when persecution began, it did not stop and continued until their final moments
-
for most of them. But despite their persecution, the Lord enabled these people
-
to succeed for his glory a man, despite their persecution, the Lord enabled
-
these people to succeed for his glory. Pre children, when the ministry becomes
-
about you, you might as well follow the Bible and not for compa and
-
go sit down on the queu. For this ministry that we hold is about
-
Jesus and about his people. That's what he told her. One of his
-
other pupa, he said, fie my sheep, And that's what we need.
-
More puppets in ministry. I'm not talking about a talk at ministry.
-
The children's tall cast, but I'm talking about me and her. They ain't
-
the strain. Their god. Men that talks control it. Their accents and
-
their words. Oh yes, we ought to be spirit led, that spirit
-
tad, that Spafel. If we spirit lad, you'll end up in the
-
right place. If we spirit field, you'll end up pouring out to the
-
right people. Huh. If we spirit Fad, you can feed others.
-
That's what David said. He's in creating me a clean heart, o God,
-
renewing the right spirit with him. And he said, if I just
-
get reborn, if I could get reconstructed, recreated, then I'll be able
-
to teach the sinner, then I'll be able to lead them into great pastures.
-
I feel like preaching to you this morning. I think you feel I'll
-
keep fried chicken. I'll get you out of here just as soon as we
-
can. I know we're in the middle of our ten day fast, and
-
there's a bunch of your black cut of the eyes and some of your very
-
weakned body. But I want to deliver my should to you. I mean,
-
Joseph has more words of faith than the last few sentences of his life
-
than some of us have through out out an entire life, even after it
-
gets saved. If some of us walk outside and were sweet words and discouragement
-
to the call my children. We pushed our mother and not put in the
-
ward of God, I said. We pushed her work. Whether or not
-
God's head is working in our lives. We crushed to Mother or not we're
-
puppa on God's stream. We wondered them would make them stay here? No,
-
you didn't make them a stand her because God did not make a mistake.
-
Despite the persecution, The Lord enabled these people to succeed for his glory.
-
These people were like us. They felt the Lord's hand on their heart.
-
They heard him whisper in their ears. This is what you say,
-
puppy, this is what I say. You say. They were stirred in
-
different ways because they were on God's stream. And when all had been said
-
and done, they obeyed the Lord, and in time they received the promise.
-
But that he Jay, it's just Teresa. In time they received the
-
promise. Already, we're seeing fulfillment in your obedience. How many of you
-
know any time your actions prove that you've listened to God and obeing his voice
-
in the words of his mouth, you will see what was played and begin
-
to spring forth, and in time it will blossom her and then ultimately come
-
her to fruition. I want you to think about this biblical character that we're
-
focusing on this morning, Joseph the Bible said by faith. Joseph, when
-
he died, made mention of the departing her of the tune of Israel and
-
gain commandment concerning his bones. When you make mention of something, you're not
-
preaching on it. We're not teaching on it. You did not draw an
-
outline and follow that outline. You just made mention of it. Joseph,
-
so sick, those are so ill he's about to die, but he happens
-
to meet your something. Did you hear what he said? Joseph Spents could
-
say, did you hear her? Let? Daddy said what he said?
-
Would we leave? Egyp take this talking up here? I said, when
-
we leave, agent fly, God's gonna take off us out of here.
-
Swy love of them, that's just our hands in love on bread. It
-
was the faith of chosen. And you can miss them, mister greens of
-
faith, you can miss them little mustard seeds your faith. If they had
-
not been a paint attention, brother feeling, somebody would have missed it.
-
I pray that I'm not that's bad. I don't know what I die from,
-
but I pray I'll read my daughter last her a little mister Seeda,
-
pray that to give promise of God, little arts from the Papa, little
-
words bently spoken. My capitals had gone. The picture of the silf this
-
your heir, like God, said One brother said to another, Jacob,
-
the father, that Joseph had already blessed the sons of Joseph. Joseph had
-
taken him to stand alongside the bedside of his daddy as he died. Fair
-
picture with me settled up the chair at the horses hitched to the chair and
-
slaves. Joseph said, so, and we're riding out. We're gonna go
-
up there to go ship, and we're gonna talk to Papa. Hold on,
-
and Papa's got something to say that come from God. You can forget
-
the mad John a Babylon called Papa Abraham got away from that. You can
-
forget the magicians of Egypt, but I got away from it. Are y'all
-
getting this? We're a little right out there. And somebody said, I
-
guess he's pulled up. Joseph did, oh, sweet, guess what is
-
where? Coda minicon. That's why that spirit God on Moses. These ain't
-
my people, I'm telling you, or y'all getting the significant significance of this.
-
God has threaded Jesus in this message throughout every major empower of history.
-
It doesn't matter if it's the Babylonian Empire of God put a thread called dab
-
Daniel him there. It doesn't matter if it's the Palace of Egypt putting a
-
thread called Joseph in there. I'm telling you, all throughout life I see
-
little threads of hope, little threads of promise. Oh, Joseph's out there,
-
Gaddy bring him in. I've got a word from God. Oh he
-
has thrown out. The sons of Joseph had been schooled just like Moses had
-
been by the very best hat. You know what. He wanted to hear.
-
The promise come out of another puppet named Jacob, his father Prophysio,
-
from Daddy propher Silo. They enough to know my people are your people,
-
and your people by my there might be some young persons in this fielding this
-
morning you feel like, oh, that's just a bunch of holy rovers.
-
Oh that's just a bunch of botles of the people. Oh that's just how
-
came you the crew we belong to God sin some people in the pall of
-
them, that's some red ones. God sends people talking exam talking about that
-
stuff that the core to day. The perfect Prince would say in the presence
-
of his father. And I cannot, for the sake of time, I
-
cannot walk through the entire story of the life of Joseph this morning. But
-
I want to take you back to a time when Joseph's father, Jacob,
-
was a stranger in a strange land and Joseph knew it, and now Joseph
-
is a ruler in a strange land. That doesn't sink you. Oh my
-
daughter, yeah, I tell you, I'm I say that to you,
-
to myself, I'm talking to my God, Oh my God. Abraham,
-
his great grandpa, had pad as through Egypt for a time. Little did
-
Abraham know I'm holding the promise very quicker soon and very soon, your great
-
grandson's gonna rule this land. Abraham didn't have the ability to say, hey,
-
as I travel through, just want to let you know I received a
-
promise, and my wife might be buried, but one day my Steed's gonna
-
rule it. That's on the other side of the promise. We got hindsight
-
right now, twenty twenty hindsight. That's on the other side of the promise.
-
Since the highway we came down there seventeen years ago. We had no
-
idea how wondrously and wonderfully the Lord will bless us, and he has blessed
-
it. For brother Jesse, I can't wait to hear one of my great
-
grandsons one day say you didn't know my papa, but he was the papa
-
Master Strange. I'm talking about the puppet prophet. I'm talking about the perfect
-
prince. I'm talking about the puppet pants that they leaved in the planet of
-
God without nobody else there. Oh yes, oh yes, I believe God
-
sit us here. Oh yes, I believe God planet us here. It
-
doesn't matter how many letters they're trying to send us. We're about to have
-
a holy ghost explosion in this house. Even know, what was a stranger
-
in a strange land in the land of Canaan has now become a stranger in
-
a strange land of Egypt. He remembers the time when Joseph was seventeen years
-
old and Joseph was walking with his brethren and began to be that puppet prince,
-
and he reported the actions of his brothers. He was wearing that coat
-
of many colors. He was just of his brethren, and they hated him
-
because of his words. The Bible said, his brethren could not speak peaceably
-
unto him. And you know, as soon as you stop favoring righteousness and
-
goddening this up and holding this up, and you kill on got piblical pat
-
front, kilture you al radiant taxed his spiritual colors, and people cannot stand
-
that I said her. People cannot stand that I can live like the world
-
and still be right. They say, no, you can't. The problem
-
with people within the churches of America today, and I'm not being critical,
-
but I'm preaching the truth. The problem is they are anti anybody, this
-
anti world. They have a problem with somebody in this anti spirit of this
-
world. Jesus said, love not the world either the things that are in
-
the world, depending on lucky Joesph said, boy, this is not my
-
home. I've been a puppet here, but get me out of here.
-
I've been a puppet here, but get me out here. And they can
-
call this world who is parloning no goods for Bartolonan turbents the en Gyptian archives.
-
They can call this place home. But this world is not my hope.
-
In the New Testament, they spoke of Abraham's pride, Sir, the
-
matriarch of the faiths, the one that had been pedecked with jewels, rare
-
jewels. They spoke that she no longer prized an outward ornamentation of the fire,
-
but she put extreme finding, oh, the automentation of the inside of
-
the man. Now, if you're not like Sarah, you don't like to
-
think Sarah did. If you're not a puppet on the Master's stream, you
-
won't do what the Master commanded us to do. The more chose a stoke
-
of his streams, the more he preached with aspiration. It didn't matter if
-
we saw the moon playing b says to the stars. It didn't matter if
-
we saw the sheaf paying be says to another sheaf. Whatever, it don't
-
matter. They don't want to hear it. Pear pressure, pear pressure.
-
It doesn't matter how many letters they sid I know I'm in the will of
-
God. Best matter what kind of plan they cantra up, what kind of
-
catch messages they said, I'm not I'm in a perfect p TN. No
-
brother could speak peaceably unto him, not one. How many brethren did he
-
have, you know, the twelve tribes or rivers were around. How many
-
brethren did he have a lot of brethren? Not one of them could speak
-
peaceably unto him. They despised him because he was a dreamer. He was
-
spiritual, He had dreams, and they despised him for his dreams. I
-
select the charismatic preachers on Jackie Walker fifteen years ago, You're two spirits of
-
minded to be of any earthly good. You find that in the scripture and
-
put it in my face. There's too many people, too worldly minded to
-
be of any spiritual good. Chose us in Egypt. He's got the whole
-
world at his fingertips. He can talk about how God used him to be
-
the provision or the provider of the Egyptians and the Hebrews in the lead of
-
Ghosha at his death. No, he doesn't talk about the Code of Minic.
-
He doesn't talk about him being provider. He doesn't talk about him saving
-
his old father's house. He doesn't talk about all of these other times he
-
was the puppet prince and God was using him. No, the puppet Tarr
-
says, get me out of here, Get me out of this world.
-
This world is not my home. This world will never be my hope.
-
If you take the true pressure. Because some preacher compromise and twisted the stretch
-
up and said, we don't believe that I canting world. He checks a
-
mite. The preacher did not God. So it seems that people have always
-
liked nicknames. Some people are like me. They prefer nick names. So
-
his nickname is dreamer. Look here comes that dreamer, they said much better
-
than Look, here comes that deceiver. His daddy was known as the deceiver.
-
But when his daddy got things preaked through, he too had received the
-
promise. And now the deceiver's son is the dreamer. You talk about progression.
-
ILL will never believe that God takes holy, righteous people out into the
-
world. They compromise their lostyles, their standards, throw their good speech out
-
in the door. I will never believe that's the plan of God. I
-
believe in progression. God, don't shout too loud now the christness of preaching
-
loud on preaching out here was born at seventeen years of age. He didn't
-
succumb to peer pressure, and he didn't lose his dream. They didn't appreciate
-
one particular dream, the one you know where he told them all of them,
-
including mom and daddy, were falling down and doing obecience. They hated
-
their brother, who's walking around in a gifted coat that came from his father.
-
I'll tell you the best thing I ever did do that is when I
-
took off the old coat and put on a lit I will not I don't
-
care he tries to to make me out to any service. I don't care
-
if he tries to email me. I will never trade my righteousness. That
-
is ass filthy rags, our righteousness. But it's not our righteousness that I'm
-
hanging on. It's His righteousness. You cook too late to tell me God
-
don't look it. You cook too late to tell me God don't care.
-
God cares about his people. God cares about the preachers, that the puppets
-
on a stranger strain. And God cares about his word, every word,
-
every word. I've been fastered like you, so I keep running out of
-
gas. But I want you to our feelings of myself. The final moments
-
begin to speak encouraging words, encouraging words. Right here, at seventeen years
-
of age, he's walking around in a patchwork coat of many colors, if
-
you would, it's a sports coat. Look at what brother Caleb Brocaps got
-
on over there. Just imagine that kind of quill at work with more colors
-
than that. Though, and Jacob's partiality was not conducive for peace in the
-
family unit. And the end result is that Joseph's brothers desired to sell him
-
to medianite merchants. And I want y'all to know this outward standard and inward
-
standard of holiness is beautiful. The world sees that they know your father has
-
given you a coat. My wife ain't always been holy on the inside on
-
the outside, and they despise that coat. This is a symbolism, or
-
there would be new creatures in Christ, Jesus the correcting and believers had to
-
stop going to the pagan temples, had to stop dressing like hatoms. They
-
had to be like Mother Sarah, the mother of their faith. And they
-
had to put off this world, and they had to put on Jesus,
-
put off this world and put on Jesus again. They have a problem with
-
anybody this anti spirit of this world. And I'm telling you, as soon
-
as you start knocking on the spirit of this world, they despise it.
-
They hate it. They hate that code of many cars. As soon as
-
you put it on, you put on the code of criticism. Oh,
-
I'm walking in liberty? Are you really? Why it's eight of your ten
-
children drug addicts that don't sound a lot liberty than men. Why are you
-
losing eighty percent of your youth from the homosexuality? Some of you came by
-
your alert if your boss, that's that big of that you you at the
-
dish and in the ktome, Show me the progress in the church, Show
-
me people that are developing a spirit of maternity. Show me, showy,
-
showy. You know by the fruits on the tree whether it's a good trail
-
not. The proof is in the print. If you're puffing out illegitimate children,
-
one not out to another, there must be a house full of adult
-
There must be a house fool of qualicator. I'm not looking for approval,
-
affirmation and applause and nobody. But at the end of the day, I
-
want to stamp before God and said I wasn't perfect. Oh your truth.
-
It is true that if a man runs a hold of my neck, I
-
am a mere mortal. I am as Francis, as a puppet. I
-
am able to succumb to death. I am able to succumb to martyr.
-
Oh yes, so did the other heroes in this hollow path. We can't
-
be a piece for our past. We can't be murdered. They're mourning for
-
our past. But I want you to know who hold the strip. I
-
want you today who's holding the string? The lord is My wife took off
-
the old man and put on the duds and immediately, people that had convinced
-
her to try to go get drunk. As soon as he turned twenty one.
-
People in the convinced her of the dance of the dance halls, like
-
she's nice. People that are convinced her to do this and do that immediately
-
they want nothing to do with it. Why what and pitiful? Sorry,
-
poor Christians today, they can't take that. I can't take losing a few
-
friends, ain't take losing my identity. Well, Jesus contradicts. He said,
-
if you can't lose your life, you're not gonna find it. If
-
you don't lose your life, you can't find it. And that's what Joseph
-
is saying. This life of an Egyptian was not the life for me.
-
God help me here on purpose, but please take my body out of here
-
and somewhere in the land of Canaan if an archaeologist could find it. There
-
is and a Gypsian topic, whether them find the gypsum body seeing earth.
-
But no, it's the Hebrew prood what I said, what, this's the
-
Hebrew paraol. This said, get me out here. Two hundred years after
-
Abraham was given the promise, Joseph assents to the throne of Egypt. Two
-
hundred years after this, Moses has said a pharaoh himself, let my people
-
go. And I'm sure the scripture doesn't record it, but I'm sure some
-
of the historians and egypt Land said, Pharaoh, even the Hebrew pharaoh Joseph,
-
that you're claiming you don't know nothing about, you know everything about the
-
Hebrew pharaoh told him take his body out of him. Take my spirit out
-
of this world, Jesus, take my body out of this world. Take
-
my trestyles out of this world. Take my hairstyles away from this place,
-
the world that I'm living in, take it out of here. We saw
-
one this person, a one, this Pentecostal person word, trinitarian, pentecosta.
-
Holding us on the inside is what we're promoted. If it's working on
-
the inside, it shows up on the outside. The one, this Pentecostal
-
woman was down south of here shopping. As soon as I saw it,
-
it reminded me of the late seventies and the eighties of what I saw on
-
the street corners of Bradley Junction. And I told sister, how, I
-
said, does she not know that that's the attire of a hearted and sister,
-
how I said, of course she knows that. I said. That's
-
what I thought. The minute that spirit of this world is living the inside
-
of us, we got a trouble. You could look right and have the
-
spirit of the world working on the inside, but I've never really seen anybody
-
look like the devil and have a real, genuine, pure clean spirit on
-
the inside. We're all weak because of this ten day corporate fast, and
-
I'm very weak in body this morning, but my spirits throng has ever been.
-
You know, Joseph knew very well that the descendants of Abraham would live
-
in Canaan, not Egypt. He knew what he knew. I could leave
-
him here, but this is a God's plan. You could have left your
-
family there, but that was a God's plan. Think about that, brother
-
Jesse. Joseph was sending signals throughout his immediate family get out of here.
-
Joseph had been able to live there comfortably himself. While he's setting the throne
-
of Pharaoh. He's miserable. God. I know you have a plan because
-
you maybe it goes to the pit, to the prison. Before I got
-
to the palace, the puppet was in the pit preaching the Puffect was at
-
Potiphar's house preaching. The Puffect was in the prison house preaching. And now
-
he's in the palace with Fairoah preaching, and brother Philip, with all of
-
these servants, men servants made servants, all of this commotion inside. But
-
great Grandpa Abraham said, you talk about security, financial security, He had
-
it, the blessings of the Lord, seeing them making him ready, prosperity,
-
and the pumpet inside. I gotta say something, I gotta say something.
-
All alone. I guess he walked through the palace and maybe kick a
-
pot and say, wen's supposed to be here, Hold on to one traumise,
-
give him one minute. Great Grandpa never had Brother the Thaniel. He
-
had everything when he stood on the balcony of his talents and he looked down,
-
he had everything, and he's gazing over and all came was over there
-
across the Red Sea. We have several undertakers in this building. What's it
-
called when they build a big memorial to the deceased, to monasoilm Mons or
-
what mansoleum? Brother just said he wasn't interested, and have a mascoleum for
-
the Hebrew pharaoh. Brother staring all he's concerned about dig a home with this
-
comfort and this imbomb body in there, and kicked the dustst over. If
-
he had a had a what y'all call it a mascoleum, did be there
-
to this day. I feel a sweetness and a conviction of the spirit of
-
God in this building this morning, Brother Jesse, if you come to the
-
piano. The Lord had provided for them in Egypt. They were living the
-
good life. But Joseph knew this is not my home. Joseph knew this
-
is not the home for the Hebrews. Joseph thought, we all got to
-
go home. We all got to go home. Joseph dreamed of their escape.
-
Think about this as to how he dreamed of their exodus. He's king
-
of Egypt, and he's dreaming of the day we can leave. I don't
-
know about y'all, but I long from my lonesowt home. I'm looking forward
-
to going to heaven. Verse Printhians, chapter number two, Verse number nine
-
says, but as it is written, I had not seen nor ear heard,
-
neither have it entered into the heart of man. The things was God
-
had prepared for them that love him. That's not only speaking in the afterlife
-
is speaking of this life. There's some wonderful things that God has promised you.
-
Faith, hope, the Holy Ghost, joy, peace. As we
-
stand this morning and get ready to pray. In the Book of Philippians,
-
chapter number one and verse number twenty, the Bible set according to my earnest
-
expectation and by hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with
-
all boldness, as always so now also Christ shall be magnified. I'd end
-
my body, whether it be by life or by death. Sister Howell,
-
we were talking about pastors, that pastor, these churches that are full of
-
a worldly spirit, a cardinal's spirit. The other night, brother stera just
-
pastor, and first lady, husband and bride was talking and I said,
-
you know, honey, there's gonna be some of these men when they come
-
to the end of their life. They're going to try to make things right,
-
but it'll be too late, maybe one or two out of three thousand,
-
but they're going to try to tell people I led you wrong. I
-
wanted to pension, the paycheck and the parsonage. I needed financial security.
-
I lied to you about what the Bible said. I withheld truth from you.
-
You came, but you did not hear the truth. You came to
-
be liberated through the power of Jesus. But I did not give you the
-
keys of liberation. I didn't properly teach to you doctor and the salvation sanctification.
-
I didn't give you the whole counsel of God. And so I'm sorry.
-
Would you forgive me? That is no time, preacher, for us
-
to get things right. I'm sure there's been a few sincere genuine people make
-
death bed repentances and confessions and get things right. My brother staring, I
-
appreciate your preaching. Brother. All of the preachers are here this morning.
-
I appreciate your preaching. May we be the mouthpieces of God, oracles of
-
the Lord, obedient oracles, and may we be puppets on God's stream.
-
The puffect prophet, the puppet prophet at the end of his life was saying,
-
my great grandpa's Abraham, and he was blessed to the Lord. Abraham
-
had something we all need. He had faith. As we bow our heads
-
this morning, is there somebody in here your faith has been shaken? I
-
want you to hold to what God has given you. That first night you
-
prayed, that morning you prayed that first love, that experience, that faith.
-
You're gonna be buffeted, You're gonna be persecuted, But I want you
-
to hold to that excitement of what God gave you that promise. Is this
-
somebody that's building this morning that would admit by showing the hand. Now,
-
as we have our heads bowed, eyes closed with you, raise your hand
-
and say, preacher, you preach to me this morning. I see two,
-
three, four, five, six seven. You feel like you received
-
a promise. You're wondering when will it come to pass? How about it
-
in your final moments on your deathbed? Will you die with regret? Take
-
me out of here, Jesus, I'm ready to go. We'll hear the
-
words said. Well done, Now, good and faithful servant. Let's find
-
a police to pray this morning as they play and sing, may we pray?
-
Preachers, I want to encourage you to be a puppet on God's stream.
-
Your prince. Be a puppet. Prince, You're a fair rom.
-
Be a puppet. Favor room here, preacher, be a puffet preacher,
-
Say what God would have you to say. Let your actions be of the
-
Lord. This so true in so many bibs, their actions are of the
-
Lord by faith. Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing
-
of the children of Israel, and gave commandment concerning his pots. He dreamed
-
of it, he said. Some of the saints have died in the faith.
-
They dreamed of the coming of the Lord, when he cares in the
-
eastern sky and he calls us home. We've dreamed of that day. We've
-
longed for that day. But it's going to happen again. Facing death,
-
that's the passid of our faith, facing death every time. If you forget
-
everything I said with this, remember this. My great grandpa was over him,
-
and we all belong to said Joe, the province, because you know
-
made the province bell. He's a fish shun And every time of me,
-
my love will be the anchor that you hold off to. This said the
-
promise. This says the promise I'm made. I never said that I would
-
give you silver a bole, or that you would never fill the fire horse
-
shiver in the bole. But I did say, and all through this world
-
the long and I did say, don't make this world over all. Oh,
-
I've made a promise that I need the key. Father, race will
-
be as a fish sharp in every time with me right off, You'll be
-
the anchor if you get hold of This is the promise. This is the
-
promise I made you. I never said the Prince would never turn their backs
-
on you, all that the world around you wan see you as a bood,
-
but I did see, like me, you surely be despie. And
-
I didn't say my waistcar found the world. I didn't say you never taste
-
the bitterer kiss a day, or had to all rugally Joe to get her
-
into race. But I didn't see I'll be waited ride on the side.
-
And I did say I'll try everything. Because you know I made a promise,
-
and I didn't the key face. You be the bishop in every time
-
of deed man, you be the anchor. If you can go on.
-
It is the province. This is the promise I made to you, because
-
you know I made a promise that I'm prepared to pay that some days then
-
you think you'll see me based in me, and you don't see really AELs
-
and a countless bout. This is the promise, This is the commence.
-
I'm mad, So just keep one hook, don't start to the last ride,
-
and in the midst of darkness. Got let this be that hell,
-
get set baradas, and we're gonna make the girl. This is the promise.
-
This is the promise I made. Oh, this is the promise.
-
He is the promise me. I never said that I would give you silver
-
or the you would never feel the fire or shiver in the cold. But
-
I did say, never walk through this world alone. And I can say,
-
don't make this word. I never said me would find you in the
-
line all alone and then was shothing else you never had to fight. But
-
I did say I'd be died, not the side. And I did say
-
always said, because you know, I've made a promise, and I did.
-
The key final will be sufficient in every time of me. I love
-
the anchor. Everything you can hold on to its stay is the province.
-
This is the provinces from
