Yes he is. If you have your Bible, will you turn with me
-
to the Book of Luke Man, direct your attention to the fifth chapter,
-
the first, second, and third verse of that chapter as well. Please
-
Luke chapter number five, versus number one through three. Brother Nathan, you'll
-
Deuteronomy chapter number six, verses four through seven. Brother Jesse, Psalm chapter
-
number twenty seven and verse number seven. If you're happy and you know it,
-
say amen, you all look great. It's like you're glad to be
-
here this morning again, a beautiful occasion before us dedicating another baby after next
-
Sunday. That will have been three Sunday mornings in a row. We've had
-
baby dedications, so after this one that we know of, we have three
-
more before the end of the year. Could you imagine how these dedicate his
-
sermons would seem as we were using a preacher's manual with these dedications. You
-
all would have them memorize and could do them better than I could. But
-
there's just so many babies being born around here. We can't stand up here
-
and just use the cookie cutter bet a baby dedication sermon. But I would
-
have never done that anyway. But we want to preach what God has put
-
upon our heart, or little Simon, Brother Nathaniel, Deuteronomy, chapter number
-
six, verses four through seven, Hero Israel, the Lord ark which I
-
command thee this day shall be in thy heart. Thou shalt teach them diligently
-
under thy children, and shall talk with them when thou sittest in thine house,
-
and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down,
-
and when thou risest up, Praise the Lord. That first word, that
-
fourth verse of the sixth chapter of the Book of Deuteronomy, was what brother
-
Nathaniel, Here, cham champ here, Old Israel, Brother Jesse saw chapter
-
number twenty seven, verse number seven. Here, oh Lord, when I
-
cry with my voice, have mercy also upon me, and answer me cha
-
mom Here, let's stand for the reading of our text, Luke Champion,
-
number five, verses number one through three. The Bible says. And it
-
came to pass that as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of
-
God, he stood by the lake of Jenisiret and saw two ships standing by
-
the lake. But the fishermen were going out of them and were washing their
-
nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's and
-
prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land, and he
-
sat down and talked the people out of the ship. Let's pray, Heavenly
-
Father, we love and we praise you. We thank you for the opportunity
-
to be in your house this morning. I thank you for this beautiful occasion
-
that is before us. Nor is these parents give back this precious gift that
-
you have given to them. I pray that you would annoyt this thy servant,
-
or set a guard at my mouth, and help me to say the
-
thing that you would have me to say, nothing more or less an with
-
the years of this thy people, that they might hear what the Spirit of
-
God say at under this church through this freach word. I pray that these
-
sayings would be received gladly. May we depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully
-
in Jesus' name, and the church says amen, I would like to preach
-
a message the Holy Ghost titled Skipper Simon, Skipper Simon. Our text is
-
found in a New Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Luke.
-
The author of this stment was a physician prior to his conversion and before
-
he became a notable historian of the early Church and the personal traveling companion of
-
the great Apostle Paul. Not only was this gentile physician a friend of Paul's,
-
he was a friend of Simon's as well. Speaking of Simon, Peter
-
the Disciple of Jesus, how many of you know that Jesus gave Simon a
-
nickname? And I just stated that nickname Peter. I'm not talking about Brother
-
Samuel's son. I'm talking about that great man of God who traveled with Jesus
-
during his earthly ministry. I'm sure that Brother Samuel and sister Megan plan on
-
giving their son Simon a nickname, and I it's going to be Peter.
-
Could y'all imagine that? I can hear it now. Hello, I'm Simon,
-
but you can call me Peter because that's what dad Maum calls me.
-
Could you imagine with me now that job interview. Think of the employer as
-
he heard such a thing, picture his expression. Wouldn't that be a little
-
bit odd and peculiar? I am Simon, but you can call me Peter.
-
But Papa has given him a nickname. After prayerfully considering this dedication,
-
service and the future of this young man. I would like to say,
-
as long as his parents obey the Lord and bring him up with the nurture
-
and the admonition of the Lord, and as long as Simon uses that free
-
will that he has been gifted and he does possess already to make right choices
-
and to serve the Lord. I feel like this is going to be another
-
special little baby. God is a blessing to Bethel hole in his church,
-
the very special little ones we find in the Bible where God's blessings can be
-
upon little ones. I mean from the time of infancy. We find in
-
the Bible, in that Holy Record that there was a prophet called five God
-
while he was in his mother's womb. There was another man named John the
-
Baptist when he was conceived and was in his mother's womb. After a six
-
month time of being in her womb, he received the Holy Ghost. So
-
we know that the Lord is mindful of all of these little children, and
-
I know that He's paying special attention to this dedication service this morning because he
-
is going to honor the fact that Dad and Mom are willing to offer back
-
to him that which he gave to them. I received confirmation of that this
-
morning, Brother John, I shore a road cap for brother Ethan roadcap have
-
been working for me here lady, and they've been very, very very busy,
-
and I think I handed them the sum of six hundred dollars this past
-
Friday, and I had bought them some soft drinks and bought them some snacks
-
while they were working for me. And this morning, when I came to
-
my few, brother Joshua, he handed me. Let's count it together,
-
twenty and twenty five thirty. He handed me thirty dollars and he said,
-
Pastor, this is reimbursement to you for you buying me drinks and snacks while
-
I was working for you as a working man, and may I add a
-
hard working young man. But he said, as a working man, I
-
feel like it's my responsibility to buy my own snacks and drinks. And I
-
said, well, you put it that way, I will take it.
-
But what he was doing, he was giving back to me something that I
-
had given to him. And I want to give this back to him simply
-
because I owe him and his sibling to Pastor. I just handed him thirty
-
dollars, so he is paid in full so you saw, brother Joshua gave
-
back to me that that I had given to him, and I gave back
-
to Brother Joshua that that he had given to me. And that's what we're
-
doing here this morning. And this baby dedication, that wonderful blessing that has
-
been given to these parents from the Lord, they are giving back to the
-
Lord. Now, as you study this fifth chapter of Saint Luke's Gospel,
-
in these first few verses, you will see the written record of Jesus calling
-
Simon Peter to be a disciple of his. If you're in this house of
-
God this morning, and you have a desire to be a church and to
-
be a Christian, and Jesus matters to you, and you love him dearly
-
and deeply, you are a blessed person. Knowing that you have been called
-
and chosen and separated for service, you are a blessed person. This baby
-
this morning is highly blessed and greatly favored because it has been placed into the
-
arms and the hands of God fearing parents. I think of all of the
-
children throughout the world that are less fortunate than that baby. Is precious Little
-
Simon is a blessed baby, no doubt It was a wonderful day when the
-
Lord Jesus walked along that seashore and he came to the place where all of
-
those vessels were parked or according to the Bibles standing, and there he stopped.
-
And he stopped because he was on a mission. It seemed that he
-
was desirous to minister to the multitudes. But he was also there if you
-
went to hire, select or choose a minister that would continue on after he
-
had ascended to glory. What a lot of people perceived what he was doing
-
was what he was doing, But there was so much more to why Jesus
-
went to that particular geographic coal placement location. I feel like this morning,
-
we only have a small idea of exactly what the Lord is wanting and desirous
-
to do. In the life of baby Simon. We look at the life
-
of Jesus, and he was born as a babe, and he was,
-
without a doubt, a baby born with a divine assignment, a baby born
-
on a mission. I look at little Simon and I feel like, this
-
is a baby that is born on a mission. So Jesus went on a
-
mission to find a future missionary, a future of vangel A future preacher.
-
And so while Jesus was ministering to the masses and the multitudes behind him,
-
end of that vessel was the future of the church. Concerning ministry, now
-
that's powerful if you think about it. A lot of times the pastor is
-
standing on the platform, if you would, and he's ministering to the congregation,
-
and sometimes God looks over his shoulders to somebody that is desirous to fish
-
after the souls of others desirous to minister, and among those kind of people
-
God will choose for ministry. And so maybe, Simon, I pray that
-
you will be just like your earthly father, brother Samuel in this regard.
-
May you, little man, be a man who knows his own heart.
-
May you, little man, be a man that is after the very heart
-
of God, one who is sincere, transparent and genuine. As I prayed
-
countless hours over this sermon, the word genuine just kept coming to mind concerning
-
his daddy and concerning this little boy, little Simon, May you be transparent,
-
genuine, thoughtful, considerate, and one who doesn't want to take a
-
back seat when it comes to worshiping God. Working around God's house. May
-
you be quick to speak like your dad is, and sometimes in transparency,
-
just say whatever is on your mind and heart. That's exactly how Simon in
-
the Bible was. I mean, I believe that this little baby has been
-
named appropriately and in accordance with the will of God. Isn't that wonderful to
-
be named appropriately and accordingly? The Bible said, a good name is rather
-
to be chosen than great riches, and love and favor, rather than silver
-
and gold. And may this little baby be one that is a soul searcher,
-
a heart render. Those are rarities today. To possess such a heart
-
is such a precious thing. Again, for somebody to be sober minded,
-
for somebody to be a soul searcher, for somebody to rend their heart,
-
that is such an uncommon thing. That is a rarity today, and it
-
is a precious thing still. Brother Chris Burnett was telling me several months ago
-
that one of the things about our church that shook him the most was watching
-
Brother Samuel Howell during the altar service get personal with God, get intune and
-
in touch with God, and be completely transparent with the Lord and poured out
-
his heart to God. There's a lot of people offering lip service to the
-
Lord, but very few people are throwing their heart into it. You can't
-
just be here in body and that be enough. You have to be here
-
in soul and in spirit, and made this little baby Simon be one that
-
refuses to take the back seat while other people are doing things for the Lord.
-
You see, at this point, Peter would have been in the back
-
seat, so to speak. Skipper Peter or Skipper Simon would have been in
-
the back, behind the scenes, watching what was going on as Jesus minister.
-
But you'll find eventually Simon Peter was no longer in the back seat.
-
Skipper Simon was the lead off preacher that came out of the upper room on
-
the day of pentecout and he preached and proclaimed the words of truth and preached
-
Jesus Christ him buried, crucified, buried, resurrected and saved here the world
-
and thousands were saved. How many of you know that God can ordain a
-
minister from the time of infancy. In this fifth chapter of Luke's Gospel,
-
find a multitude closing on Jesus and they are pressing him without mercy. How
-
many if you've ever seen the congregation press the pastor after a service. There's
-
some people they don't do that because they're merciful. Some will move by,
-
shake the pastor's hand, not ignore him. They will definitely acknowledge him,
-
but they will understand as the church goes and this is just one man,
-
and that he's just got just a little bit of time before he's gonna be
-
right back here Sunday night preaching. But this particular crowd was not using any
-
wisdom, nor were they displaying any mercy. And we find because of this,
-
Jesus realized it's not enough for me to minister to one at a time.
-
I thank God for one on one evangelism. I thank the Lord for
-
street preaching. I thank God for personal evangelism. Again, I said,
-
but you know what I'm telling you, there are those times that the preacher
-
has to say, let me step back, give me a little space.
-
I'm not gonna take the backseat. I'm gonna stand behind that sacred desk all
-
that will preach to the congregation because there are others that are in need of
-
help. And I want you to know that sometimes what you need comes from
-
the preacher, whether that be the teacher or the Sunday School teacher, the
-
evangelist, the street preacher, the pastor, the assistant pastor, whoever is
-
ministering on that platform behind that sacred desk at that moment. That's what you
-
need to get a hold of. But there's a lot of people throwing away
-
what was given to them, tearing that service in hopes of one on one
-
consultation, one on one personal instruction, one on one personal evangelism. You
-
have to be content to receive the bread as it is given to you,
-
when it is given to you. I was studying this, and I was
-
thinking reflectively upon this and trying to get the imagery of the situation, and
-
I thought of how other scriptures had said that the Multitude, when they pressed
-
him, they throned him, and how his disciples would have to be bodyguards.
-
But listen, up until this time, he did not have a Peter
-
that would be one of crowd control. He did not have somebody that would
-
say, hey, why it's trouble is now the Master. He did not
-
have somebody that would say, hey, you get too close, now back
-
up. And so Peter was no doubt watching the Master as he was at
-
work, and he realized that the Master had concluded, he needs to put
-
a safe distance between himself and the others and picture with me. As Jesus
-
walked over there to this phote that was part and Jesus spoke to Skipper Simon,
-
and he said, Simon, I want you to take this boat,
-
and after we get on this boat, I want you to push it off
-
the land, and I want you to go out just the little ways where
-
I can address these people. For there was a multitude of people wanting to
-
hear what the Lord had to say. How many of you know there are
-
people in this building that want to hear what the Lord has to say to
-
here? Did y'all catch that to here? Say that with me? To
-
here? Look at your neighbors, say hey, neighbor, do you need
-
a hear name? Say no, I got my walk. I have ears
-
to hear, and I remember that sermon Pastor preached through. I need hear
-
a name to hear. That is the very definition of the name Simon.
-
Now, in contrast to the definition or the meaning of the name Simon,
-
is the name Samuel Samuel Simon's father, Samuel, y'all see a way fing
-
everybody. Samuel Samuel Simon's father Samuel's name means God has heard. Simon's name
-
does not mean God has heard. Simon's name means to hear or sham shema.
-
Look at your neighbors say shave ma. You're not speaking in tongues.
-
Don't act like it. Somebody said in this past Wednesday night, while I
-
was a preaching the lowdown, owned the Showdown, and oh what a sobering
-
thought that was, and what a message that was. It shook me as
-
I preached it. They said, you spout on your heels, and you
-
said, stop pretending to speak in tones and stop saying the word Messiah.
-
A man. You are real fast and trying to make people think that you're
-
speaking in tongues and trying to outwit people and outwit God by saying something to
-
the stuff blasphemous. You know you're not just making up something. You're saying
-
legitimate work, which you're saying them so fast you get you be a good
-
auctioneer, you said, pastor, you said that in that sermon and said
-
what you did not know? I had been sitting near by to somebody and
-
I started getting very greed, and they didn't give me the name of this
-
person, but they said, I was getting very grieved because they were doing
-
that very thing. Brother Aaron Wood said they were just as repeating the words
-
as fast as an auctioneer, and they were saying, man, did I
-
miss something? Did this person get the Holy Ghost? And they haven't told
-
anybody what what's going on? And talking about a sister was doing this.
-
The brother was doing it too at the same time, and I didn't know.
-
They said it was like just it came from out of nowhere, and
-
said I was getting so grieved in my spirit and get so sick, I
-
was about to throw up. And then said, suddenly, God, use
-
you to say that. Listen, you can say the same word over no
-
faster than a public auction there will that's making one hundred thousand dollars a year
-
because he is so smooth with his tongue. That is not going to invite
-
or welcome or encourage the hole it goes to act in your life. What
-
I was sitting apart of my recliner just two days ago, meditating upon the
-
Lord and thinking upon his word, and in a thirty minute span of time,
-
without uttering a word and musing on the word of God, the Holy
-
goes descended upon me in such a powerful way that I begin to speak in
-
other tongues as the spirit gave the utterance that I can tell you, Church,
-
you wasn't coming from those frontal loaves. It wasn't coming from my nasal
-
cavity. It was not even coming from my voice box. I'm talking about
-
guttural voices, just speaking from the soul down in there, Brother Jesse,
-
the soul of the man, wherever that's at, that particular spiritual organ that
-
the doctors cannot locate, that mysterious invisible organ that is so vital to your
-
livelihood and the longevity of your life. That thing that belongs to God,
-
that is stealthy, that thing that is hid from the doctors. It's hid
-
from the SETI scan, the pet scan, all other imagery texts, all
-
that it's hit. It was coming from out of there, and then it
-
would cease. And I'd say, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't cease.
-
I love what I'm feeling. I was upset because of the cessation, meaning
-
it ceased, It stopped the cessation of the Holy good. He spoke when
-
he wanted. Of course, I yielded to it and allowed him to But
-
then he stopped, and when he stopped, he was done. And for
-
ten more minutes I thought about the word of God. I thought about the
-
services that we were being and if we had upcoming. I thought about the
-
messages that were to be preached. I'm trying not to preach. I'm trying
-
to dedicate a baby this morning, but I'm meditated on the Lord. I
-
prayed, I saw God, and there it was again, brother staring,
-
an up rising of fire in my bones, and the Holy Ghost give the
-
utterance and begin to speak. And hey, I'm telling you, it was
-
powerful. And then it just subsided. He didn't speak anymore, and Brother
-
Jesse, you, about fifteen minutes later he'd done it again, and I
-
said, well, praise the Lord, glory beating Jesus. And you know,
-
anytime the Lord speechs, you want to listen, or I hope you
-
do. Anyway. His name is Simon and means to hear, But in
-
the Hebrew it means so much more than that. It means to listen,
-
to understand, and to respond. In other words, it means to pay
-
attention, to focus on respond to what you hear. And that's what if
-
I am recorded in the Book of revelation, he that hath that hear to
-
hear, let him hear. It's not that that particular part of the is
-
missing. It's there, but they're not really listening and they're not getting what
-
it was that was spoken to them, and they have no intentions on focusing
-
on it and responding to it. Now, talking to somebody here in this
-
building this morning, as we dedicate baby Simon, I believe you will see
-
that baby Simon is going to be one that will not only hear, he
-
will listen. He will focus on and he will act upon it. I
-
see that in his dad. I've seen it. When his dad would get
-
in the altar during the altar service, he would pray until he felt better.
-
He would pray until he changed. You know, you can listen to
-
the pastor preach. You can say that's my servant, that's my message.
-
He might as well put my name in that title. I know it's my
-
piece of mail. I know it belongs to me. But if you don't
-
plan on going outside and living better and living change and being different, it
-
wasn't your servant. I feel like this little baby Simon, if God permits
-
him to live a long life and if he uses that free will to the
-
glory of God, that he will be someone's sister. Howell that will not
-
be a hearer. You see, whatever the Jews pray each and every day.
-
The Jews those within two day issm every day twice a day, once
-
at the morning and once in the evening. They recite Deuterotomy chapter number six,
-
verses number four through seven. The Torah is the first five books of
-
the Bible correct also known as the Picative, the Law of Moses, the
-
Torum, And in the Torah this sixth chapter and four three seventh verse of
-
the Book of Deuteronomy, Brother Jerrebout, I'm trying to hurry that is repeated
-
every day by observing Jews twice a day. It's called the shome up the
-
shama, the shama. They pray that, and I want you to remember
-
the words of that code. Take Brother Nathaniel read them to us. It
-
begins with here. Now, you know, you can't have a faith building
-
by laying out a church. You're not so spiritual that you don't need to
-
be in church every service. You see, the early Church didn't have three
-
times a week. They had church many days a week, many evenings a
-
week. And because we have it three times a week now, people have
-
felt like that's too much. Modern churches now feel like they only need their
-
members to go to church once a week. That's why we're in the perilous
-
times that we're living in. This is why men love play over their eyes
-
and they will recite repeatedly the Shama, and it begins with here, y'all
-
heard brother Jesse read it a little while ago in our second co text,
-
Psalm twenty seven and verse number seven. Here. So these Jews knew if
-
this man is the Messiah, and most of them supposed to be, and
-
his ministries just getting started, they knew, we need to hear what this
-
preacher has to say. But how many people feel like they're bigger than the
-
preacher. They're beyond the preacher. Oh, I don't need to go to
-
church. I'm saved. I prayed about five or ten years ago. I
-
got baptized. I watch a little YouTube every now and then. I have
-
a daily Bible devotion. My coworker, since men biblically thing mean I'm a
-
Christian, I don't know you're not. A Christian is someone that emulates Christ
-
and Christ believed in people hearing the word of God again. You're not gonna
-
have a faith building or a faith increased by missing church. I know I'm
-
not you savi here. I wasn't there the night you got saved. Thank
-
God that you're saved, but you're not fulfilling the will of God by missing
-
church. The Bible said, faith cometh by hearing what the word of God.
-
Faith cometh by hearing the word of God again. That is the meaning
-
of baby Simon's name, to hear these people were gathering around Jesus to here.
-
Now, y'all imagine with me. Over there in the boat is Skipper
-
Simon standing in the back. He's probably got his hands on his hips.
-
He smells like fish. He had worked and told, he said, all
-
night long, trying to catch a mess a fish. And he's standing there
-
in his very name means here, and brother Jesse, he just here as
-
an h E R E. He's present. I'm here. There's some of
-
you here, but you're not hearing. There's some of you here in this
-
building, but you're not hearing. And there were a lot of them out
-
there in that multitude, in that crowd that were here as an H E
-
R E. That were present, but they did not have ears to hear
-
h E A R. There were some of them did not care anything in
-
the world about the shame off. I doubt they recited it like they do
-
today and like they did back then. I doubt they quoted it repeatedly.
-
I doubt they cared anything in the world about hearing from God. But peers
-
standing there at the back of the vessel, taking a back seat, if
-
you will, And he's listening because his very name means boy. You better
-
listen what dandy im I way named him? They named him boy. You
-
better listen to here. And not only better you better listen, but you
-
better focus on what I told you to do. You better not forget about
-
it. You better write it down, and you better respond to it.
-
I've seen rebellious children before, and adults a lot, and employees saying,
-
yeah, I heard what you said, boss man. You said me here
-
at seven, but you didn't focus on it. You didn't respond to it.
-
That's why you came in at eight. I heard what you said,
-
son is school teacher. You said to memorize the scripture verse, but it
-
just went in one year and out the other. But siling your name so
-
doesn't mean to hear only Hey, you coming to church and hearing the preacher
-
preach and recognizing his voice on the podcast a week later, or recognizing his
-
voice six months later. Who you know, sister, how and I can
-
meet people and we can see them six years later, and we can still
-
know that voice before they speak. We know who it is speaking. We
-
know the voice of the speaker. Understand this now, who it is is
-
speaking under you and what is being said? And said Brother Samuel, I
-
don't know how many within that multitude was listening and was planning to do something
-
different. But wey'all remember I preached. I believe it was a week or
-
two ago about Matthew that was sitting at the receipt of custom. It might
-
have been left Sunday night, and I said that Matthew, even though people
-
would have judge their perception, he would have been corrupt to the corps because
-
he was working as a Jew for the Roman government. He would have been
-
considered a trader. His actions would have been treacherous to the Jew and people
-
would have just assumed by their perception he's drup to the corps. But that's
-
the one Jesus called now that's what I'm saying. Jesus had a purpose in
-
his location where he was standing. He knew that the primary leader of the
-
New Testament Jewish Church was standing back there at the back sea skiffer Simon.
-
Skiffer Simon. The one is about the pilot, the Wondrousy. No doubt
-
he was tired. But you don't find where Skipper Simon was just laying on
-
the deck of the boat, acting nonchalantly checking his Facebook page, Instagram page,
-
playing on a cell phone, looking at the lives of his neighbor's head.
-
You don't see where he was still continuing to watch the nets. You
-
don't see where he was doing everything but listening to Jesus. There is no
-
doubt he was listening to Jesus. That multitude came to here, but you
-
know what, there was one that was definitely hearing our Lord. Jesus chose
-
to use Simon's vote as a floating platform. And again, as I said
-
earlier, when I was reading this, I thought about how prophatic this action
-
was, that Jesus took the master. Jesus did exactly what I'm doing right
-
now, what every minister and teacher will do in every church throughout the world.
-
Today we will stand what seemingly is a floated, lifted, elevated platform
-
before the masses. Jesus was literally demonstrating prophetically the modern Church, the New
-
Testament Church, the Early Church. Isn't it wonderful? I love the Bible,
-
It's so good. And so, after Jesus finished teaching, he addresses
-
Simon. I'm in personally, we're gonna need the Lord to address this little
-
baby personally. We're gonna need him to not only be the God of Samuel
-
and the God of Megan, or the God of Papa and Mimi. We're
-
gonna need it to be said, he is the God of Simon. Do
-
y'all believe that if I remember the contents of this narrative correctly. These men
-
were washing their filthy fishing nets when the Lord picked a boat and used it
-
as his platform. They were off the clock. For those of you that
-
cannot make forty hours, and for those of you that can ate each day,
-
and for those of you that it takes an act of God for you
-
to reach forty or make a daily these guys were working. They were off
-
the clock. They were cleaning something no men liked to do. They were
-
cleaning their fishing nets. In another gospel, we find that James and John,
-
who were also partners of the commercial fishing business with Peter, Simon,
-
Peter and his brother Andrew, they were mending nets, washing nets, and
-
mending nets. Very few preachers and people want that process in the church anymore.
-
They don't want any cleansing by the washing of the water of the word.
-
They don't want any sanctification being preached. They don't want any patching up,
-
they don't want any mending being done. They don't want any medaling being
-
done with a mess. Right, these men were working. They were not
-
busy bodies. They were working. And keep in mind, Simon did have
-
a dear wife back at home, and he did have a mother in law
-
that he cared a lot about. Once she got sick, he brought Jesus
-
to his house and Jesus prayed for his mother in law. He touched her
-
feverish brow and she was made whole. So Peter was a family man.
-
Simon was a family brother. Samuel, he loved his family. That sounds
-
like Samuel holl He calls me every day, sometimes twice a day, most
-
of the time at some point there today, pops up wherever I'm at.
-
If I'm in the Walmart parking lot, he stalks me, he finds me,
-
he pops up. If I'm at the sales lot, he stalked me,
-
he pops up there. If I'm in my office upstairs at the house,
-
it stops in there. It pops up there. How many of you
-
believe Jesus popped up right there in front of Peter on purpose for the sake
-
of the sermon. I need to say, Simon, you know what I'm
-
talking about, Simon, Peter, skipper, Simon. So we find that,
-
Jesus said, I know you've been working. I know you're tired.
-
You told all night. I want you to get in that boat. I
-
want you to push it off. Now. I know what it is to
-
fish. I know what is to fish spiritually and naturally. Sister, how
-
I ask me how you doing just before church starts. I said, I'm
-
doing good, rejoicing in spirit, rejoicing everymore for the spirit, serving the
-
Lord, rejoicing, rejoicing all the way in the Lord again. I'm rejoicing,
-
rejoicing. She said, well, that's good. I just come and
-
check on you. I said, well, said, she checked on me.
-
I will tell you didn't miss it for some reason. I'm greatly frustrated
-
in my spirit, greatly frustrated in my spirit. Similar to half brother Nathan.
-
There was a want or two ago. I said, I don't know
-
what's going on. Just as soon as I got here at the church,
-
I sensed something's off. We passed through a wonderful church. Here sis he
-
here because they have to be, and who's here because they want to be?
-
I said, But you know what, I got a baby to dedicate,
-
and I've got to sheld that frustration. But I cannot deny that the
-
spirit of God is stirring me up. It's not a carnal anger. It's
-
not that my wife worked my toast this morning and it was the last slice
-
of bread in the bag. It is knocked that my chickens did not lay
-
enough eggs this morning. I'm not talking about and the anger that is cornal.
-
I'm talking about a spiritual frustration because somebody knows to do good and they're
-
not doing it. It's basically a process God has preparing me for tonight's message.
-
Apparently, so before you pray and ask God for those gifts of the
-
spirit that you've been begging him for. You better make sure that you really
-
want them and that you want to live with them. Can the church say
-
Amen? So these men were worker, But at the end of the service,
-
I got spiritually frustrated. God spoke through me. I knew it wasn't
-
through personal anger. I was not venting, I was not airing out dirty
-
laundry. I knew it came from the lowest part of my being. And
-
it thundered out. God said, there will be two women conceived illegitimately out
-
of wedlock, two women that are in this building. At the same time,
-
you will conceive children out of the sact de modent of marriage. Six
-
months went by, a year went by, two years went by. I
-
think it went on to about four years. And just as God had said,
-
up my words, just as God had said, it came to past.
-
People didn't expect that to happen, Oh, no way. But there
-
were some people that they were listening. Has a spiritual theme. There's something
-
the only goes to saying through every soul, through every testimony, through every
-
sermon, through every exhortation, through every type of admonishment, there is something
-
in the spirit of God is saying, but you have to be in touch
-
and in tune with the Lord. And so Peter was not one to go
-
against the brain. He was not one to push against Jesus. He could
-
have sat Jesus, this is my vessel. We've already docked it. I
-
mean, it looks like they said the word land. It looks like they've
-
already drunk it up on shore. And then once Jesus gets done using it
-
as a platform out there in the shallow water, Jesus said, get out
-
of the shallow and launch on out to the deep. And Jesus said,
-
I want you to go fishing. Peter did say, Master, we've been
-
fishing all night long and we ain't got anything. Jesus did not get in
-
an argument with Peter because of this. He knew Peter would hear. Peter
-
was being a little mortal in a man, just like any of us would
-
red blood and man or red blood and warming being human carnal bless it.
-
He said, I've been fishing all night, trust me, the fish aren't
-
biting. But when Jesus said go ahead and launch out to the deep and
-
lower your nets down, he did exactly that, And the testimony is this
-
that Peter said, Guys, we've got a problem. We've got a problem.
-
You know that multitude that was out there on the land, Well,
-
I've got a multitude of fishes right here in this step. You know how
-
that net that was on the front of my boat netted all them souls and
-
brought them in and captured their attention and captivated them the fishermen, a fishermen.
-
Jesus, this man that I could perceive, he could hold a crowd,
-
he can hold people's attention. There's no doubt he's Messiah. He has
-
loaded our nets, and we've got a problem. Brother Jeremiah. That was
-
prophetic. Letting Peter know when we get done with this, I'm fixing a
-
ask a favor of you, and if you oblige me of my favor,
-
you're gonna find out. After the holy ghost has poured out in that upper
-
room, you're gonna find out what it's like the fish boy. Peter walked
-
out of the upper room, walked down them steps, got out there in
-
the street. There's the skeptics, the critics, to act nasty to atheists,
-
everybody out there saying, what's going on? Look at these crazy people?
-
Their tongue talking speaking in tongue. Some of them are speaking in languages
-
they don't even know how to speak in. There's other ones speaking in heavenly
-
language. What language is that? I don't know what a parent that God
-
does. Peter waits ride out in the middle of that multitude of fishes,
-
and he says, let me get out the gospel net, and he begins
-
to preach Jesus Christ. And y'all know how many got saved. Don't you
-
get y'all here now, Skipper Simon, He walked back up the stairs,
-
went near the upper room, got him a base of the water, washed
-
his feet, washed his hands, had something to drink. Skipper Simon said,
-
boys, it's great fishing out in the deep. I wonder if they've
-
been fishing in the shallows all day long. Launch out to the deep.
-
Go ahead, just food right out there into those deep waters. Listen to
-
me, Peter, what I'm telling focus and when I'll say dropped that that
-
you trucking? When I say crip that sin, you stuck that sinning.
-
When I say started attending church faithfully, you start attending church frankfully. That's
-
what Jesus said on Judgment Day, there's gonna be people say, I was
-
almost positive if I saw you walking up and down the aisles at my church,
-
I'm almost positive I heard your voice. I'm on worst positive. If
-
I felt holy ghost chilling Bombason, I'm almost positive that was you, God
-
that I cried over that old country singer that say that gospel song. I
-
thought for sure that was your spirit, God. And Jesus will say,
-
say what you were listening to the wrong voice. The Bible said, there
-
are many voices speaking in the world. You were tuned into an impostor.
-
And that's what Jesus said after my departure. You better be careful. There's
-
gonna be people coming. They're gonna say Christ is right over there that had
-
already happened. Christ had already come, but there would be impostors. There
-
would be people that would say, I am Christ, Bring the multitudes,
-
bring the masses. I'm telling you you better try the spirit to see if
-
it be a God. This man Simon was one that obviously had tried the
-
spirit, and so whenever Jesus fought him back to land and they had to
-
deal with the fish. The pastors, there's a lot in that preachers,
-
there's a lot in there. They had to clean the fish. How many
-
of you've ever been fishing? Fished all night, caught two fish. The
-
last thing you want to do is clean two fish. You're okay with cleaning
-
fifteen, twenty or thirty, but you're not okay with cleaning three hundred,
-
four hundred and five hundred. I don't know how many it was in this,
-
I don't know how big they were. But after working all night,
-
tolling all night, who feels like cleaning fish? I know this. Jesus
-
was not a waster. Jesus didn't believe HI wasted anything. The fragments had
-
nothing to be lost. Now I can see Jesus now, Peter, you
-
tried, he was unsuccessful. You didn't catch nothing. Now I've taken your
-
fishing. Meet Skipper Savior, Skifer Simon, Meet Skipper Savior. You've caught
-
all these fish. Now cleanup, boys. Don't forget that one. There's
-
one under the net over there. How does he know that? Flipping that
-
over multiple times you'll find it. There's a smaller one in the net.
-
Because Jesus knows all things, he wasn't gonna let one of them small fish.
-
Rod On that vessel. He won't gonna let one of them small fish
-
rotten that net. Jesus is mindful of the little one. How many of
-
you know this morning he's mine for a little Simon right here, this baby
-
we're dedicating this morning. God's not only excited about Sister Wooton, the sister
-
Cheryl, and brother Philip or Brother Rogue cap whoever else is coming to mind
-
right now, He's excited about what he's gonna do in the life a little
-
timers. How many of you deal with in security and inadequacy and insufficiency and
-
just all of these I'm telling you just feel like you don't measure up,
-
and you just don't matter you do you do? There's one more fish over
-
there you need to cleaning. There's one more baby, one more little fishy,
-
and we got to dedicate this morning. When that little fish he turns
-
into Skipper Simon, you'll remember what I said, Skipper Simon. As long
-
as he stays a Christian and does what God told him to do and lives
-
a long life, you'll understand it better. By and bye. So Jesus
-
showed up when he showed up within a good mood or bad mood, It
-
depends on whether you catch fish or not. If you've been fishing. There's
-
a lot of fishermen because they're so embarrassed and there's such a bad mood after
-
fishing all day and catching nothing. They lie this fish story business, that's
-
the big business. Me and a dear brother were fishing on a lake about
-
two months ago. We were crappie fishing with US Floridians called specfishing what the
-
Yankees gonn brother ro Cap says words in appropriate. They call it something else
-
to Virginia purrently, and these guys have been fishing next to us for at
-
least a good hour, and when we got to it, you could tell
-
they had been there much longer than we had been there. And then I
-
think after about two or three hours of being nearby, I never saw him
-
bring in one fish, got one little fish. And this guy gets a
-
call from a buddy of his and we could hear it. That's how close
-
our boat was to their boat, and I could hear him, and brother
-
Jessey, you could hear. Then asked the question, how's it going,
-
y'all doing any good? And that's what you say when you're out fishing.
-
One boat passes another boat. One skipper passes another skipper. Y'all doing any
-
good? Man, It's like, you know, like a secret society or
-
something out there. What are you catching them on? How many are you
-
catching? Where are you catching? I'm at y'all doing any good? You
-
could tell that question had been asked, maybe by another skipper. And this
-
skipper begins to say all week out about sixty that brother and I that were
-
fishing together, looked at one another, and I said him, I'm missing
-
something. He said, I ain't, so I'm catching a single fish.
-
I said, brother, I've been watching because if they were catching fish,
-
I was gonna ease on over there and we were gonna catch fish. And
-
I've been staring to see what kind of bait they're using, because we're not
-
catching nothing, which is unusual, but it seems to be par for the
-
course down here anymore, since the government's putting these chemicals in the water and
-
things and killing off the eggs and the hatchlings. They're not killing the mature
-
fish. They know what they're doing, but they're killing all us grass.
-
I need to get off that hobby horse. I'll get worked up, and
-
I really will start preaching. But that man he lied. He lied,
-
and so brother Jesse rather than going home in a bad mood because he had
-
told on himself, he lied. That was church to day, ready as
-
a Bible can going what That was a prayer of time with the Lord today.
-
Spectaclear's fear of God fell on me, came on me in a body
-
way. You better stop that lion. The Lord's been good to you.
-
Have you been good to him? Oh? Yes, Simon been just as
-
good to him as he is to me. You better stopped that lion.
-
I believe baby Simon will be genuine. He will be authentic, he will
-
be precious, he will be transparent, he will be honest, just like
-
Simon. How many of you remember Simon Peter, he put his feet in
-
his foot in his mouth, would he not? But Jesus used him because
-
of his heart. That's what was said of David. I chose him because
-
of his heart. That's what we've been praying about for some right here in
-
this building, and others that have been coming by and visiting. We've been
-
asking God to help them because they're way too grumpy and grouse you. They're
-
always in a bad moood. They've been fishing and aren't catching anything because they're
-
not even baiting the hook. I was fishing with a gentleman one time.
-
True story. After about an hour, I said, brother, you do
-
realize you don't have any bait on that hook? He said, I realized
-
that. He said, fish like shiny hooks. I thought, I've been
-
fishing for about forty five years, since I was about three years old probably,
-
And I said, it might be true that people have caught fish on
-
a shiny hook, but it does not happen very often. And I said,
-
brother, the truth of the matter is you brother sucked down at doctor
-
pepper and eat top peanuts. Then fish ain't it? And you're too lazy
-
to bait the hook. He said, How do you know, I said,
-
because they ain't. No fisherman fishing without baiting the hook. The only
-
fisherman, Skipper Savior, can do that, and that's Jesus. And do
-
y'all know who he's sent to go fishing without abated hook, Skipper Simon.
-
Only those two guys got that going on. Jeremy Howe ain't got that going
-
on. I love what I feel right now, y'all can tell I'm having
-
a whole back. I'm really feeling the preacher. But I'm telling you,
-
honesty and sincerity it is so important. But really, what God is looking
-
for. It's not somebody that would just nod their head and say amen,
-
I heard, because you controlled them and ask them at the church what was
-
sin? What was the theme of the service, what was the spirit saying
-
of the church? And they say, I don't know. I was just
-
there because I needed to talk to pastor. I don't know. I was
-
just there because I needed to get my big toe prayed for it. I
-
don't know. I just came because my cat needed to be prayed for it.
-
But I believe this little man will be one that is tuned in when
-
Uncle Nathaniel's preaching. I believe he's gonna be one that'll take it to heart.
-
Can y'all picture it now, Sister Vega, in a beautiful sight,
-
little two three, your old boy right over here and just crying and just
-
God saying, That's what I'm pleased with because we look on the outward,
-
there's no debt is going to be handsome. Look at his beautiful mother and
-
his beautiful handsome father. But brother, just I feel like he's just going
-
to have a big heart, sister, share on your feeling right now,
-
I can tell. And he's just going to have a heart of gold Skipper
-
Simon. And you know, whenever a man has a heart o death,
-
that's obviously somebody God's gonna use. You think about just about anybody that has
-
that heart. That's what they said to David. He's got a heart after
-
God. What they've leather they meant was he's got a heart in hot pursue
-
of God. A heart and hot pursuit of God. Some people think of
-
that scripture as this is just a man who's got a heart just like God.
-
You could take it like that that he's in the way to God,
-
he's keeping the law, trying to do right. That it's a heart that's
-
in hot pursuit after God. Now I see some sister would never running the
-
other way. But somebody's going to hawk pursuit after God. It doesn't matter
-
where God goes. If he takes you on the vision field, if he
-
takes you in a fishing boat, if he takes you the upper room where
-
you are, I'm gonna be. And that's what Peter would repeatedly say,
-
even though his flesh was weak. He would repeatedly say I'm gonna be right
-
there with you and his story and say, well, Skipher Simon, meaning
-
the pilot of the Gospel ship the early Church, when he was being martyred,
-
he stopped his executioners and forbade them from crucify them upright, Skipper Simon
-
said, Nope, that's how my Jesus was crucified. I want you to
-
do me a favor. Flip this crossover and hang me upside down. That's
-
somebody that's in love with Jesus. That's somebody that's not interested in themselves.
-
That's somebody that's highly interested in their same fruit. So I don't believe this
-
is going to be a little baby that's always in a bad mood. Brother
-
Samuel, I'm reminded of something that your coworker told you the other day,
-
said you're always smiling, and then asked the question, why are you always
-
smiling? That's what people have asked me repeatedly over the years. What do
-
you have to be happy about? Sister? What it was you that texted
-
me just a couple of days ago, send me that song sing by Brother
-
Bonge. I'm excited about going to church I've cheered it with the church twice.
-
I've listened to it probably thirty times. I am excited about being in
-
church. I had them grand babies and daughter in laws and outlaw and children
-
over there last night. I turned that song on, and all of them
-
grand babies went to shop in that air conditioned living room with it cool outside
-
the ac not struggling. Thanks. She shouted for at least fifteen minutes,
-
so hard that I saw it glaze over with sweat and saw the little hair
-
go from being dried and looking like it was wet. I thank God for
-
that. I thank God for the goodness and the grace of God. It's
-
evident that Simon, whose name means to hear, pay attention to focus on
-
responding to what I hear. He acted swiftly upon the request of Jesus.
-
Obedience is better than sacrificeing the hearken than the fat of ramps. And I
-
want to say this to each one in this fits. This fits. If
-
God gave you a shepherd, a shepherd leads and guides the flock in just
-
about all state of affairs concerning their life. It was probably around Thanksgiving or
-
Christmas, and last year God began to deal with me about iris Lynn Wooton.
-
We were having a fellowship out there at our property under what we all
-
call the dome. The former owner named it that the dome. It's a
-
great name for it, the Dome. At some point, while the brothers
-
were busy pressing me, as the multitudes trust Jesus, I just want to
-
talk about this. I know I told you this ten different times, and
-
just you know, be an insensitive somewhat. The spirit of God said,
-
now is the time to go to her and ask her what does she need?
-
Now you can say, right now, will pastors never approached me and
-
the spirit of God's present or we just almost manifested you. Hell, you
-
can say, well, God won't use pastor like that in my life.
-
That's because thats say the Lord. You don't listen, you don't focus on,
-
you don't respond. The old timers they hadn't was saying, I'm not
-
gonna waste my breath on him because it's gonna go in one ear and out
-
the other. But whenever God uses your pastor to speak to you, I
-
jumped up, and I speak as a fool. I'm nobody, but I
-
jumped up and went over there. You know, your sister Lute, and
-
you were distraught. I wasn't reacting or responding because she had such a look
-
upon her face or her expression was different than it's always been. I had
-
my back turned to her, and when I jumped up and ran to her,
-
right in the middle of a wonderful church fellowship, there she was with
-
her back turn to everybody, and she was about to break down. And
-
I pulled my chair up and I was scooted it up right to her,
-
and I got right up there, about two feet from her face, and
-
I said, what's wrong. God's had me praying for you. I've been
-
asking God to show me what it is, what is going on. I
-
have felt a burden. I've heard the voice of the lower speak concerning praying
-
for you. What's going on? She said, Pastor, my home life
-
is terrible, she said. I can't even bear the thought of going home
-
tonight. She says, I get to the place where I'm miserable. I
-
can't even stand being in my own house because of guests that had wore out
-
their stay, drama problems. We'll leave it there, but she said,
-
it's just to the place I don't even want to leave this environment and go
-
back to that. It's so miserable, Brother Tyler, I looked at her,
-
and I said, I know what needs to be done. Sister Wiltnam
-
was less than thirty seconds. Her world was falling apart, and had been
-
falling apart for months. In less than thirty seconds, we had the solution.
-
Now, if she hadn't listened to her past, to here Chama,
-
no, I need to go back and read that Deuteronomy chapter number four,
-
verse is number six or seven to shove off? Did you Wantamy chapter number
-
six versus number four through seven to shut off Hero Israel? In less than
-
thirty seconds, I said, I have the solution. I said, I
-
will talk to Tyler. Within an hour, I have spoken with Tyler,
-
and the wheels were turning. Within just a couple of days, all of
-
her sorrow was rolled away, every birden of my heart rolled away. Now,
-
if she had just took that and said, that's just you. You're
-
Jeremy Howell. I know you're nearly fifty years old, you're in your prime,
-
but I'm not gonna listen to you. There's no way you can help
-
me and my little boy, and my little girl and my family. You
-
don't know. You're not a dad, You're not a Yes I am.
-
Just because you've made a wreck of your situation and I didn't doesn't mean I
-
wouldn't know how to correct a wreck of a situation. Because us you know
-
how to prevent it. You can certainly know how to correct it. Because
-
a skipper can upright the ship. He can make corrections and adjustments and set
-
or right the ship. Now y'all can tell this would be a preacher message
-
right here, But we're dedicating a little baby, and I will try to
-
keep that in mind. But when the pastor has been specially chosen and the
-
teachers of God, and that preacher comes to the pulpit with a message,
-
they speak as the oracle of God. You don't like what I'm doing,
-
call my Moss telling you have a problem with it. But God knew that
-
Iris would take the backseat and let her skipper pastor give the orders. Trust
-
and Old Bank. A county deputy told me something last week. He said,
-
everybody's trying to mess with this and he said, I'm telling you,
-
I'm telling you they are not doing anything good for this situation. Sister,
-
woting to hear you tell it your situation was just as severe and just as
-
great as anything else that has went on before going on. Now, any
-
problem, sister hand And I've ever had raised six kids. Here, it's
-
not we just sitting a few and here our pastor preach for forty five minutes
-
or an hour, and they say, I thank God for that message.
-
We're supposed to be hearers and doers. I'm trying not to mess up this
-
baby, dedicicaate. So that could be why. Because I had employees before
-
coming there, and they'd asked me a question, how do we go about
-
drafting or drawing this particular cage ladder? And you tell them how to do
-
it, and sister Wooting, two or three days later, when the checker
-
brings the drawings back, they're blooded all over. Means he'd take a red
-
mark or a red pen and scribbled all over and said, make this correction,
-
make this correction. And upon closer observation, you realize they disregarded everything
-
you said and done it their way. Now I'm smart enough to know the
-
how old children I raised them, and I'm smart enough to know every person
-
in this field. And it's been with me for less more than two or
-
three years. I know you by Now I know who's going to not only
-
listen, who's gonna focus on and who's gonna change the situation. Now I
-
believe this little baby something. I mean, why would you want to hear
-
from your pastor and hear from God if you're not going to do what God
-
says to do? Hey, you're you're your own boss. Right. We
-
need skiper savior. Oh my God, just like the church need a skip
-
er. Simon, I believe this little boy is going to be somebody in
-
God. I'm not blinking making a blanket statement. As his papa and as
-
his pastor, I have prayed and sult the Lord, not only last night
-
that I tossed in turn, but nights many nights I toast in turn say,
-
God, speak to us exactly what we should focus upon concerning this little
-
child. Because Simon paid attention to the Master, he focused on doing exactly
-
as the Master said. He responded to what he heard. The Bible says
-
act that he let the nets down, and when he went to pull it
-
from the water, he was breaking. The nets were breaking because of the
-
great multitude. Simon said, immediately, nevertheless, Lord, at your word,
-
I'm gonna load this net. And then whenever Simon got done and he
-
saw the great ketch of fishes, brother stere It, he fell at his
-
feet and said, I am unworthy, and I preached the message. I
-
think this past Sunday night. They can't take it because they didn't make it,
-
or something like that. Brother Jesse Peter fell down at his feet,
-
not because he was overwhelmed. But what came to me is what I preached
-
them Lessonday night, but because he was overshadowed. There's a greater skipper here
-
now upon life's ocean where mighty billows rolled. I'm a feeling of this.
-
We need a skipper, a savior on our vessel. If you're going to
-
be successful, then listen to the skipper. The Holy Girst spoke through Brother
-
Nathaniel. I feel like it was a year ago, eighteen months ago.
-
Brother Nathaniel just recently divulged to me after eighteen months. Very important facts and
-
pertinent details regarding that, because sometimes when you're given the message in tongues again,
-
it comes from way down deep and you give the interpretation. You have
-
this awesome awareness of the situation right to witnesses. I mean even said,
-
seemingly it comes from out a left field. You have an idea of God
-
speaking to an individual or a few people, or maybe a church. Corpidly,
-
my brother Nathaniel said, immediately I had understanding of whom I was speaking
-
to. And he said, over the last eighteen months, I have analyzed
-
things that they were doing and things they were doing at that time. And
-
he said, now it makes perfect sense when the Lord spoke. And I
-
remember that night, I was shocked. I was a pauled. Could believe
-
us being wildered? Who in this company of sixty five people would not acknowledge
-
the shepherd that God has set over them? And he said it went on
-
to say, he said, Dad has something pluted in the church. Thou
-
shalt prosper. He said, that's not it. He said, what the
-
holygo said is thou shalt prevail God. Peter, I said, brother,
-
don't make sense, does it. There's no fish, Brother Jeremy, there's
-
no fish and nothing happening. I've been fishing all day and all night long.
-
Why, I said, I'm sitting at my mclinter meditating on the Lord,
-
not worrying, not fretting, just thinking on the goodness of God.
-
And the Holy ghost came down. We can launch out to the kneed.
-
I preached the message behind closed doors. The God that we serve is able
-
to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we shall ask for. Think,
-
but it gets right down to this. You're your own boss. Remember that
-
night brother Asher was preaching daring to reviv When he was telling somebody this building,
-
him and I had no privor conversation. No conversation that night, no
-
conversation since who he was talking to. But some of us circumventing the proper
-
channels. Wood's not that well, you can get mad, said, well,
-
he ministers to her. He don't minister to me. Talking to you
-
young'uns too. I see a minister to this one, speak to that when
-
miracles happen. Just to send in ealy message this for and said, a
-
couple of years ago, you told me to be watching my magnesium level as
-
she was praying, God showed you that. She said, I was just
-
a minute to the hospital. I was evaluated in check. She said,
-
guess what they said, depleted magnesium levels. It might have took a couple
-
of years for it to come to pass, but it came to pass.
-
That's why I've been having these problems depleted magnesium level. I mean, God
-
knows. But if God's gonna speak to you and you're gonna put your hands
-
on your hip and say, no, this is my vessel, or no,
-
this is my vessel, I just parked this vessel. I have noticeire
-
whatsoever to launch out in the shadows or to watch out to the day.
-
I have no desire to continue fishing. I have a why drop the net?
-
I mean you can wear your pastor out and just I'm telling you go
-
in circus, circumventing exactly what God told you to do. Do you know
-
you can be fighting against the hand of God. God uses the strong arm
-
of law. God uses the strong arm of judgment, and do you know
-
to go against God? Parents, y'all listen to me. With these little
-
children, you are the ones responsible to bring them up in the nurture and
-
the admonition of the Lord. If you don't tram them up right, they're
-
not gonna do right. Drama queens raised drama queens, Drama kings raised drama
-
kings. Right, Brother Samuel, I know you did not know how close
-
your two names are by definition, or did you Okay, Samuel, God
-
has heard. He's got that name because God has heard the prayer of his
-
mother Samuel in the Bible hand them. She's testifying, I'm gonna name him
-
Samuel because God has hurt me. But Simon, here's the means I hear
-
saying? Or the prophet couldn't say, although he could hear, because Asbama
-
heard, he could hear. But Simon, is I hear? I hear
-
what God's saying. God's been saying this now for about eighteen months. What
-
you need to do? The answer is in your hand. The power to
-
do what is right is yours, and you can do it. That baby
-
that's in their head, it's in their hand right now. It's gonna be
-
in their head thirty years from now. How old are you, son?
-
Twenty six? You're still in my hand, twenty's sixty. If I'm still
-
living, he'll still be in my hand. That'll still be my child.
-
But his soul belongs to God, and I've got to make sure he's in
-
God's planning, right Simon. They'll see it when other kids are listening and
-
they are paying attention. But there'll be some they won't get that altar.
-
They won't pread it through, and we'll still be beating the same drum eighteen
-
months favor. All you had to do was respond when he freaks behind the
-
scenes. All you had to do was respond when he preached that sermon that
-
night. All you had to do when he mounted that floating platform. And
-
this is a floating platform. This is simply sitting and floating upon a concrete
-
floor. It But whenever he puts the distance between this and him, and
-
the acoustics are just right, and he's preaching, Jesus was being so prophetic
-
of what is going on right now. But is anybody listening? Does anybody
-
care? But there will be a little baby if I'm here to witness it.
-
Great. If I'm not great too. I'll tell y'all something right now
-
as we bring this to a close. Since some of these young men got
-
the Holy Ghost, and that was February twenty twenty three, is that correct?
-
The Lord dealt with me to make them part of the church board.
-
I've prayed about that since February of twenty twenty three. And before you say
-
you want to be part of that, do you want to be financially responsible
-
and obligated for everything that goes on here. But I said, God,
-
I don't want to do this just because it's something I think that needs to
-
be done, or that I feel needs to be done, or Jeremy Howell's
-
plan. That's what we're doing on right here this morning. Little Simon is
-
going to listen to the voice of God. He's going to know it's the
-
voice to God. He's gonna understand it's the will of God. He's going
-
to focus on it, and then he's gonna do it. He's going to
-
act upon it. He's gonna take action. In October twenty twenty three,
-
I expressed an interest in adding members to the board of this church. I
-
spoke to them briefly. Yesterday I was working at five twenty five. People
-
began to enter my house. I was still working getting some drawings finished up
-
for a customer, and in the process of emailing them, the Lord spoke
-
to me and said, add these men as board members of this church.
-
I started typing it in. I sent a text to him. I said,
-
I need all of you to send me your physical address. Brother Gable,
-
this kids good because this tells us we have a future Immediately. Some
-
that I don't hear from immediately immediately they responded to that text. I didn't
-
have to wait. I didn't have to get frustrated because I need the address
-
now, because I'm taking care of business now. I'm online right now.
-
I don't have to in five minutes, I forget that some of them are
-
about to come into my house. I'll continue to work. About that time,
-
I hear people walking up the steps to my office and I'm finishing up
-
typing certain names. I tell them what's going on. I don't really know
-
that they really heard and focused and got intent on it and understood it.
-
They were just so fresh in the room. Maybe they didn't realize the significance
-
of it. Maybe they did. I don't know. I didn't even turn
-
around. I said, I'm adding you on as members of the board of
-
this church, thinking on the future. Within ten twenty minutes, the State
-
of Florida, a Secretary of State sent me the certification they had been added.
-
It's official, brother Jeremiah, who pays attention, who's been on the
-
board of this church since he was sixteenth Because back then that's all I had
-
meet him and Sister Howel. He never asked to do it. I just
-
needed another body and he was a great guy and always level headed. And
-
sister, how he's stood over my shoulder, and he said, Dad,
-
because Dad's old enough. Now I need reading glasses. So I had read
-
it, I sped read it, and I had comprehended it. All the
-
dates looked the same. April thirteenth. April thirteenth, he said, Dad,
-
I don't know if you noticed this or not. He said, but
-
this is amazing. I said, what what have you seen on this document?
-
He said, that's amazing. I says, speak, that's a make
-
feat. I want to hear what's amazing? What are you saying? Tell
-
me that's amazing. Now, if you're in my O can't believe this unbelievable.
-
Tell me what you're saying. I can't you see it? Now?
-
I don't say it, he said, Dad. On April thirteenth, twenty
-
twelve, you incorporated the Bethel Horness Church of South Florida. Sister Wooten,
-
when our world was falling apart, and we went started having church in a
-
little store front. We incorporated on April thirteenth. Don't talk much about Jeremiah
-
said, look at what day it is. April thirteenth, twenty twenty four.
-
I said, I thank you God Almighty, and Sister Wooten right then
-
in the atmosphere change and everybody knew this of God. Though they were newly
-
in the room and fresh in the room and really had no idea what was
-
going on, they immediately knew there's a divine presence here. I had pushed
-
that off until October. I wanted to do it in January, and the
-
spirit of God moves on me as I was finishing up working and said,
-
now is the time. How many people would hear and listen and focus on
-
and take action. It wouldn't have the same meaning if that is that April
-
fourteenth or April twelfth, when God rings your bell and you know that's your
-
message, little Simon, and you know that God has given pauper or the
-
pastor well the preacher's something for you. You get a hold of it.
-
You get a hold of it. When the white Uncle Griffins say, I'm
-
gonna trust God, I'm gonna trust his survey, I'm gonna trust his word.
-
I do not understand it, but I'm gonna believe that God is able
-
to do it because Skip or Savior has said to do it. You may
-
be sailing on uncharted waters, but God said you can get through it.
-
Simon didn't feel worthy of what God was doing for him. He felt broken.
-
He was thankful, He was so thankful. Are you thankful when God
-
speaks to you? That's how sister Wooton was that night. She's crying,
-
she said, Pastor. She didn't want to tell me what you need all
-
of these details. I don't need the details. All you need from me
-
or from your God is what does saith God. But it ain't no confusion
-
now. Brother Tyler invited me to come over. He said, let's party.
-
He said that there was a problem. Is gold. Grandma's got peace
-
that pastors all understanding. He said, grandma's grandma again. To all,
-
mid I've spoken tongues Grandma's back and wanting to make jelly Grandma's back. We
-
won't make biscuits Grandma's grandma again. Rather say, but that's what happens.
-
And they can despise you and your son all they want to. But I
-
can tell you is something only God can give somebody, the heart that's all
-
got inside. Sister Megan, you know how blessed you are. I can
-
see it in your eyes. You know what you got, you know what
-
you got and once you got in your arms is just this sweet and just
-
this question. Some people you have to tell them one time, sister Lot.
-
Other people you have to tell them a thousand marries. And brother Tayler,
-
who doesn't change the thing. Here's what we said recently in a message
-
this past Wednesday night, because of hardness of heart, somebody needs to say,
-
God softened my heart like this little CHILDE help me to have a tender
-
heart, that I will be willing to follow Jesus all the way. And
-
although I feel like we need to have an old recall, we will move
-
on into the form of part of this ceremony. Everybody stand please. I
-
want to ask the singers to come around and sing. I do want you
-
to pray. I want you to listen to what God is trying to tell
-
us in these moments ahead. What it is the spirit of God is speaking
-
to us concerning find a new skip. For Simon was a of sacrifice,
-
a man of sacrifice. We don't tell you what you sacrificed. We don't
-
tell you what you sacrificed, Folly, but there is a big difference in
-
sacrifice that something thirty fifty years ago in sacrifice, and in the moment when
-
you're in the situation, your name's Abraham, and in that moment you're having
-
to make that sacrifice, it's a lot harder than than it is fifty years
-
later, saying, well, I took my boy up there, there's some
-
of you. You're in the middle of making sacrifices. The Bible said that
-
after the Savior Jesus Christ performed these notable miracles in his sight, brother Jeremi.
-
Then Jesus said, follow me, And the Bible said that Simon left
-
everything and followed Jesus. Brother Samuel, Sister Megan, you've given your other
-
children back to God. When you give Simon back to God, you're everything.
-
You're all in all, your little baby boy brother gave her. What
-
a sight that must have been that day when somebody said, hey, he
-
didn't park that vessel like he normally parks it. Hey he didn't hang the
-
net where normally hung it. He's not coming back. Did it mean a
-
lot to him yet, Because after Jesus had got crucified, apparently he went
-
and tried to find a net, and he tried to find a boat,
-
and he went back to it. H you know why he was so devastated
-
or so broken? Where's my safe? And Jesus knew? And Jesus came
-
to him on the seen that day, and the Bible said, wasn't it
-
Peter? He cast himself into the sea, and he swam to Jesus.
-
H skip for simon, are you willing to get into Jesus even if you
-
had to swim to him in the midst of the billows and amidst of the
-
whole room and tired? Are you willing to swim to him? Brother,
-
the thing where no boy had seen the do the vowels you can m m
-
for a good night? Huh? He calls me dad, and I called
-
him buddy. Just faded. Old Pillow is a little bear too, snuggles
-
the close and says, I want to be like you. I took even
-
bead and my kids sing good night, tripping over the toys as I turned
-
after like I whispered her prayer that someday you'll see he's got a father in
-
God because he seen Jesus sending me. He wants to be like me.
-
I want me sample for nice. See help me believe anybody come on in
-
I can't. I'm wanting me just like you because he wants to be like
-
me. Read the same, sister, make it, I'll come to the
-
front. You'll send some order. Please. I want to be just like
-
you. Call. He wants to be just like me. I want to
-
be a fool example for nice to see you help me be leaving by the
-
Lord, tell leave, Lord again. I want to be just like you
-
because he wants to be like me. I've got too with me, I've
-
got so far ago, been hosting in stake, stand up true that you
-
know some time for better. How hard I try, we're with all the
-
pressures of mine. I just can't give you all. I'm trying, so
-
Lord to learn from the blessing fashion and kindly with your tenderness, because I
-
know that to learn from the things he sees that Jesus he finds will be
-
the Jesus. So I want to be just like you. Probably wants to
-
be just like me. I want to be a fool sample for his nice
-
to see help me be leave by ever, leave again. I want to
-
be just like you. You see, he wants to be like I want
-
to be just like you. Wants to be just like me. I want
-
to be a example for his nie to see. Help me believe. By
-
Lord Lord, I'm wanting to be just like you. Men. Let's get
-
around the church as we get ready to dedicate baby Silent. Mhm, he
-
is adorable. Yeah. We've had several baby dedications over the last six months.
-
What I might say, Wow, that's a lot of babies, and
-
that's a lot of baby dedication ceremonies, and it is. But I'm thankful
-
for these little ones and for these special occasions and their services. These parents
-
understand it. It's their personal responsibility to commit to teaching the children to do
-
the Lord of Jesus' will. There's responsibility of these children's spiritual formation falls on
-
them. I'm confident that baby Simon will be taking care of naturally and physically.
-
Praise the Lord. May. I'd like to address Brother Samun System Maiden
-
at this time, Brother Samune System, make and believe that that Simon is
-
and a gift to God and that He will hold you accountable for him.
-
Be now solidly confess that it's your purpose to dedicate his child to God for
-
his sons. You hold the skipper silment, the wonder polts of us all.
-
I think there's a lot too that will package you. Hope there a
-
lot of requiring you too. Will you pray for him, and will you
-
pray with him? He's going to need it. Will you instruct him faithfully
-
in the doctrines of the Christian faith, where you teach him to read the
-
Word of God above all other nature and things. Will you teach him to
-
pray and to lead a holy life, even though it's unpopular to do so
-
today. Will you take him faithfully to the house of worship that you every
-
time the doors are open, if you're able to do so, and encourage
-
him to attend worship services. Will you do everything that is in your power
-
to bring him up in the nurture and that a mission of the Lord and
-
in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, his personal Holy Savan. Let's pray chack
-
so start just oh okay, it dress like it's hard, don't want to
-
be dress Oh lasts the lading bad? Oh never mad about that or it
-
just like, uh, let's just praise the Lord. Thank you for each
-
bless of each person, each soul, each babe and Christ, each babe
-
in the flesh, spiritual babes, natural behave say that how many of you
-
believe God's mindful of these little ones? And I know a lot of things
-
are contingent on the will of men, but I know it was a couple
-
of months ago. I think I was preaching, but the spirit of God
-
fell on me, brother, the thing that in my spirit, I said,
-
real round, beck On, Honey comes see me. I take the
-
ashsion a spiritual relation. I hope I'm live to see it, but maybe
-
no wheel and want. But I took it as a guy's when used with
-
that, I said, Becca, Honey comes to And when I said I
-
think everybody should be really kind, I hadn't feel that, skipper. I
-
think there's a leader. The fact the parents is going to be up to
-
us and the guys players are guys, and tenses are dead their parents.
-
I always just right now. I love what I feel. I don't want
-
to quick to this. I just want to thank you, which I just
-
prays him as more time. But I think the idea is mindful of us.
-
What was it he said about terrible thing? Let us be a sweet
-
sweep say fairly, say card, it's a precious help to the church.
-
They re breathed, say can passion so considered, say some help to the
-
elderly. M M, what about either your been the work care the team
-
will play out to them, the seat team basically the team they're raised and
-
the way talking about right during the next time, I'm thinking about the workcap
-
children. When they first came down there better work there. We put them
-
all on that tail because of the older We talked about how he's all wrong
-
where you go out, and so we thinks and we say every better kills
-
testimony. But if you remember better waight Cap, you know what their favor
-
will just playing round, you would remember how she bring out whether that job
-
should read to winn sist, catch you win matter help. You thought Ethan
-
was a hell will now soldier. But does God going to keep going to
-
at sister characters, God working about your baby peoples, to whether donathing that
-
not be the probly drunk in the spirit he said that man and God went
-
the whole day to find But I'm thinking about all of you when you're here,
-
when we're on this vessel, and until right now I'm skipping thanks to
-
right, I'm a top to sid Simon to be stooping here. You might
-
be on the way. I don't know, but I did feel like you're
-
leading in his own way, maybe somewhere overseas. Maybe it's not for me
-
to fill in. The boy God a killing the glass. But I know
-
Skippers isn't nickname? Say my stare at kill you don't think you get the
-
big here it. I told them how the boys this to this? It
-
just passed done, such a change of his life, I said, I'm
-
s out of I went through that fold yer, hold up stuff we took
-
together for me and come to were designer. I looked at each playing chess
-
system. I looked at the missed too mixed the clowns, and I said,
-
thank God, Now, why would we come in here? And I
-
ground you and crownchy even if we had a bad bay of fishing with the
-
Master asked us to launch up and beat. And I just must say,
-
God, you want to know the power of the service. We're gonna launch
-
up and be had no reason to come to church tonight the bad mood.
-
I want us just to praise the Lord. I know we gotta get pictures
-
and go eat lunch, but would y'all thank God for his goodness and his mercy
