Threading on the thread. If you have your Bibles, will you turn with
-
me to the Book of First Samuel Man, direct your attention to the second
-
chapter. We will be reading Versus numbers one through four. Brother Nathaniel,
-
Psalm Chapter number twenty five, Versus number two and three, Brother Jesse,
-
First John, Chapter number four and verse number four. Brother Nathaniel, would
-
you read that, my brother, Psalm twenty five two and three. Oh,
-
my God, I trust in THEE. Let me not be ashamed.
-
Let not my enemies triumph over me? Yay, letting none? Then wait
-
on thee be ashamed. Let them be ashamed, which transgress without calls amen?
-
Let not mine enemies triumph over me. How many of you know what
-
a thread is? A thread is a statement of intention to inflict pain.
-
Notice the words, let not my enemies triumph over me. The Holy Ghost
-
gave me this title. Treading own the threat, Brother Jesse, First John,
-
Chapter number four and verse number four. You are of God little children,
-
and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than
-
he that is in the world. Praise the Lord, Brother Steric treading on
-
the threat. Let's stand for the reading of our text. Verse Samuel,
-
chapter number two, verses number one through four. The Bible says that Hannah
-
prayed, supported to pray. After that she had been tortured and tormented and
-
had received multiple threats from Hanaa. Hannah received a blessing from the Lord.
-
After that, she prayed and said, my heart rejoiceth in the Lord.
-
Mine horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies
-
because I rejoice in Thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord,
-
for there is none beside thee. Neither is there any rock like our God.
-
Talk no more so exceeding proudly. Let not arrogancy come out of your
-
mouth. For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions
-
are waved. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that
-
stumbled or girded with strength. May we pray, Heavenly Father, we love
-
and we praise you. We thank you for the opportunity to be in your
-
house. I thank you for each and every one that has gathered today.
-
I thank you for those that have had to leave. I'm glad they were
-
here and were able to hear what you said under this church. I'm thanking
-
for the Sunday school teachers, God, which you bless them in a mighty
-
way. Bless each and every one. Set a guard at their ears and
-
help them to hear what the Spirit of God saith under this church. God,
-
set a guard at my mouth, and help me say the thing that
-
you would have me to say. Nothing more or less, we pray God
-
that this people would hear and heed. Let these sayings go below the shoulders
-
and a saturate the soul and the spirit. We pray. We give you
-
the praise and honor to glory in Jesus' name. And the church says Amen.
-
And may we depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully. Looking again at
-
first Samuel, chapter number two, verse number one, the Bible says,
-
and Hannah prayed and said, my heart rejoiceth in the Lord. Myne horn
-
is exalted in the Lord. My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies, because
-
our rejoice in Thy salvation. Our text is found in an Old Testament book
-
of the Holy Bible. This particular sacred writing informs the readers of events that
-
took place in the nation of Israel during the lifetimes of great men of God,
-
such as David Samuel and Nathan the Prophet. How many of you remember
-
hearing the name Nathan. How many of you know a little bit about Nathan
-
the prophet. He is the one that dared to walk into the throne room
-
of King David and point of bony finger in his space. And after David
-
refusing to accept the parable that had been presented to him, Nathan spoke very
-
plainly and said, David, you are the man that has sinned against God,
-
against your family, and against this nation. And so certainly the writings
-
of this particular book of the Bible should be more than informative. They should
-
be intriguing because of some of the characters and their lives that are recorded in
-
this writing. One of the most intriguing things about this particular book of the
-
Bible is the prophetic ministry of the man of God, the prophet of Jehovah
-
Samuel. He was spectacularly anointed. And I believe that the reign of King
-
David is remarkable and notable as well. We watched a powerful monarchy dissolved.
-
It became divided because of a rebellious and disobedient people going against God and following
-
their own hearts. I find this book of the Bible to be heartbreaking.
-
Some of the things that are recorded in this particular book has broke my heart
-
repeatedly over the years. I saw people that had such great potential not lived
-
to their potential. I saw people that were literally being cradled in the arms
-
of God become separated from the blessings of God upon their life, and so
-
on the heels of the prophetic ministry of the Prophet Samuel, we find a
-
monarchy and brother rope gap. It was divided very quickly after the Prophet Samuel
-
left the building, so to speak. But behind the Prophet Samuel there's a
-
noble, beautiful, sweet woman his mother named Hannah. Hannah had carried in
-
her womb and delivered under her people a once in a lifetime opportunity. Again,
-
Hannah had carried in her womb and delivered to her people a once in
-
a lifetime opportunity. Sisters, do you have a place in the family of
-
God? Sisters, do you have a purpose in this life? The testimony
-
and the song of Hannah is proof positive that you too can have a purpose
-
in this life. And you can pray and testifying seeing of the hot praises
-
of God, every person in this building can be blessed because of you and
-
your obedience. We find that every person of Hannah and her son Samuel's generation
-
were blessed. The nation of Israel was blessed because of this woman. They
-
were not only blessed, they were blessed mightily. They knew it. Their
-
enemies knew it. Before his conception and birth, Hannah had suffered immensely at
-
the hand of an unexpected enemy. How many of you understand what an unexpected
-
enemy is. Suddenly you discovered an enemy in your presence, and that enemy
-
that you identified as your nemesis was somebody that was very close to you,
-
somebody that shared intimacy with you. The Bible put it this way, a
-
familiar friend has lifted up their heel against me. And so prior to this
-
lesson, Hannah had suffered immensely at the hand of an unexpected enemy, her
-
husband's second wife, Banana. I preached a sermon a few years ago about
-
Hannah and Banana's few and it was titled Banana's Provocation. I believe brother Jesse
-
loved his wife loves that message not only because of the title, not only
-
because of one of the characters of that message. There's just something about that
-
message that related and resonated to her at that time, and it is true.
-
Against the wishes and the will of Hannah, there was a battle that
-
ensued between these two people that were very close. It was not a minor
-
conflict. No, this was not simply a family few. It was very
-
severe. And there's some of you in this building this morning. You are
-
experiencing squirmishes and conflicts in your life from unexpected sources and enemies, people that
-
you considered to be friends and that you know to be family. This particular
-
few between Handa and Panaa was more than the hat Field and the McCoy few.
-
It was more severe than that. However, in this case, Panana
-
was mostly at fault. If you'll study the family feud between the hat Field
-
and the McCoys, you will see that both at times were at fault.
-
But in the particular few that I want to speak of this morning, you'll
-
see that Panana was largely at fault. Her attempts to hurt hand were deliberate
-
and relie We can find multiple times as she threatened this wonderful woman of God,
-
this wonderful wife named Hannah. She provoked her by the jesse she threatened
-
her. I'm telling you that she was doing everything that she could to push
-
the buttons of Hannah. She wanted to destroy Hannah's faith in God and Hannah's
-
hope in God, but it was not successful. Her attempt at doing those
-
things were not successful. In fact, her doing this her provocation served as
-
the catalyst to the prayer that Hannah prayed. And after Hannah had requested God
-
to give her a child, her barrenness gave way to childbury and the result
-
was an ancient prayer and an input in her mother's in her arms nine months
-
later, an input who would become the messenger of Jehovah, the prophet Samuel,
-
because one woman went to the House of God, fell on her knees
-
and prayed in the spirit until her lips cleared and her tongue shook. And
-
the prophet amongst them said, surely this woman is a trunk woman. And
-
she said, count me not as a woman of belile. I am not
-
a trunk woman. I am a bearing woman that I'm asking God to give
-
me a child. But also what she was looking for was an opportunity to
-
tread on the thread. She was looking for an opportunity to overcome her enemies
-
against overwhelming odds. After all of these years of being unable to bear a
-
child, Suddenly a miracle had taken place in her life, and she had
-
something to pray out again, something to sing about again. In a New
-
Testament, you will find some of the same things happen to Jesus early on
-
in his ministry, and early on in the ministry of John. The badness
-
we find unexpected enemies surfacing the Lord Jesus and the Chard. The badness they
-
did not expect to find her enemies and religious leaders, and namely the Pharisees
-
describes and the saddest season, but the jesting they would have never thought the
-
suffer at the hands of such men who profess to be people of God.
-
You see, these men have sought an opportunity to destroy Jesus and to destroy
-
John the same way for Nina have sought out an opportunity to destroy the feelings
-
and crushed the heart of Hannah. Are talking to maybe only one or two
-
this morning. I know the most of you cannot relate to this message,
-
and your life is nothing more than just pure bliss. You don't know what
-
it is to be betrayed by a familiar friend. You don't know what it
-
is to have tambly turn it gets human burial dagger up to the half in
-
your fifth rim. You don't know what it is to lay away? Could
-
neither and say, well, ust me, how could it be that my
-
best friend for the child of my old lord's a roomb is my greatest persecutor
-
Jesus and Job. They suffered hostility between them and these Jewish religious leaders,
-
and it did not diminish, no impact. It increased over time the intensity
-
of the situation that was enormous, Sister Wootone. It did not let up
-
her who won't been He'll come on now, help me in this fielding this
-
morning, could say, Preacher, I get a little bit of reliefer e
-
from now and then. But as soon as I get a blessing, and
-
as soon as I get up, hover my kneesa and I walk the dust
-
off my l closer, and these here comes this nemesis. They're not a
-
nemesis of my old choosing. I don't believe that head Or woke up in
-
the morning asking her to be picked on, or the received verbal Trencher.
-
Oh no, I believe she was praying for Pisa. And while she was
-
praying for Pisa, if you would, her counterparty were seeking an opportunity for
-
war. I'm telling you sometimes those that you love the most it when you
-
sue piece. As the Bible said, they are in pursuited of Lord.
-
That's why I said, as much as life within you, live peaceable with
-
all men, as much as life within you, There's no doubt that lied
-
within head On, and it lied within Jesus, and it lied within Johnny
-
to live peaceableness with those people that weren't religious, and fat Panada wasn't religious.
-
Every year she would go with their husband and hear her children to the
-
temple. She would offer her operings just like these Jewish students would do her
-
in the days of Jesus. Oh yes, they'll go to churchill. They're
-
su their soldier, they're listening their preacher's preacher that for some reason the spirit
-
does not there witness with yours only the words of a man who has meft
-
within these United States used we have her a problem. Whenever tou cannot walcome
-
in agreement her or it occurring her, there is obviously a problem. Somewhere
-
the Bible said that my pride have come a contingent. My pride come with
-
that stressor and that stripe. You're stressed out, not because her of your
-
assens. Hey, I'm telling you this stopper in that situation, not because
-
him of your choosing. If you would it be pined to sky, it
-
be peaches and creamer, and everybody would get along, everybody would burst to
-
heaven. No hand in him. That I want you to know. Sometimes
-
when a true blue where again child of God, is in tune with Jesus,
-
there's gonna be those that are friend and tamily that do not want to
-
walk and step with you. They do not want to walk beside them.
-
It's simple, as the propert aim Us explain that in us writing and has
-
prophecy, there two cannot walk together unless they be agreed. And the reason
-
why that cord is being unraveled it is because there's less than tree, and
-
there's less than two. Yes, two could be better than one, and
-
a tree poclock could not be easily broken. But there's some doing everything that
-
can to dissolve unity. There's some doing everything that care to dissolve her harmony,
-
and you being a wonderful person that you walk. You wonder what have
-
I done wrong? Why is the happening? What can I do to make
-
it better? I want to show you in the word of Colling this sometimes
-
you do as much as you can't to their piece of man. But they
-
siping he don't want peace. I'm telling somebody man this morning, this not
-
your pap man. They made their bid, and you don't have to lie
-
in it. Theyre not be too left and one dead that want could be
-
taken out and one left in that pat of this. Now I'm telling you
-
you don't have to sleeper, and thisery you don't have to sleep. He
-
kind of deceive of talking. You don't have to sleep. Having been provoke
-
to, you can sleep for trust and peace and God. Just when we
-
thought they would go away, here it comes. It resurfaces to resurfaces.
-
I'm telling you there's nothing at all more heartbreaking than realizing you have experienced a
-
pain in your very own heart, and then when you come to you realize
-
that that person standing next to you must be associated with the pain. And
-
then you feel something war im trickling down your torso and you realize there's a
-
still blade buried up in your chest, and you think, surely that person
-
would never have harmed me. But yes they did, and it seems like
-
they enjoyed it. Oh, come on now. The religious leaders of Jesus'
-
day, they should not have been offended, but they were, and they
-
plotted his destruction and his death. They listened to a sermon to find something
-
wrong with what he was reaching and teaching. They were trying to listen to
-
him to see if he were blaspheing God and to praise himself. And Matthew
-
checker number ten and verses number thirty four through thirty eight, the Bible said,
-
ain't knocked, and I have come to send peace on earth. I
-
came not to send peace, but a sword that is the worser of Jesus.
-
Those are the worship of Jesus. And the sword that di viture.
-
Oh, come on now, is the spirit. And it's also the word
-
of God. These words will offend people. I'm not talking about your words.
-
I'm talking about the words of God that changes you as a person,
-
that requires you to live holy, that requires you to live separate, that
-
requires you to do what you know your God. They'll accuse you of abandoning
-
them. They'll accuse you of being the instrumental of separation. You are not
-
an instrumentation a separation in that family, and you are not the black sheep
-
who it is. It's nipocritsa with a religious circle, so that the stars
-
and a icatina and a wors that what cale to block it is, sir,
-
And I'm telling you you won't time me sitting down there at the chest
-
man play a religious tinser with a religious hippocritsa. They'll come on, now,
-
this is not a o game alive being new by manipulation, that the
-
sense of And they're not to manipulate me fornam trying to manipulate the mind of
-
Hannah. The provocations and the threats were relentless, Jesus went on in that
-
tenth chapter Saint Matthew's Gospel, we hear Jesus saying, for I am come
-
to set a man at variants against his father, and the daughter against her
-
mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a
-
man's folle shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or
-
mother more than me is not worthy of me. And he that love a
-
son or daughter more than me is not worthy love me. Do you know?
-
The Lible said, Jesus came unto his own, and his own received,
-
and not if you would, he came to dinner on the ground,
-
if you would. He came to the family homestead. He walked through the
-
gate, and look kicks him was typing. I'm telling you in the kitchen
-
was and as in the kitchen they were doing everything that he and commissioned him
-
the news the sacrifice was taking place. The ofference would be an offer,
-
but he was not to receive. They'll come home now. At least the
-
father received the podical son, and there was a graying, welcoming way and
-
a recessing way when the son came in. What the truth is? Not
-
every religious person, even those a professor could be holding us a been a
-
costeorda. We're gonna offer you a warm reception when you come home. I'm
-
telling somebody in this household, it's always been this way. If there was
-
this way for Jesus, there would be the same way for you. Unfortunately,
-
where the prince of Piece himself king, shouldn't there be a peace of
-
earth? The angels of heaven saying good will and peace on earth. Shouldn't
-
there be peace on earth? Shouldn't everybody be getting along? Shouldn't never think
-
to be a okay? Should never think me all right? I'm telling you.
-
Sometimes whilst find themselves in opposition to husbands and husbands find themselves in our
-
positions. Tosh. I'm glad that when I got saved, my wife did
-
not decide to go another way. But I'm reminded of brother Monroe Jackson.
-
He said that whatever he pulled that eighteen wheeler off the side of the road
-
there on the highway. He said, he got out, walked into try
-
room in a costal church, and I believe he told me he said that
-
brother Benny Sutherland or someone was preaching, and he said the old drunkard and
-
the old club answer. God saved and God sanctified. He went home and
-
told his wife our foul religion. How now in a relationship with Jesus as
-
well. I believe he went on to say, Brother Jacob that he told
-
her I've changed partners. I'm no longer that's him with the devil, I'm
-
nts him with Jesus. And she lifted him with a straight face, and
-
she's sitting by protection. Are you saying you're not gonna go drinking with me
-
again? Are you not gonna go cutting with me again? Are you not
-
gonna gonts with me again? He said, that's what I've said, And
-
she said, well, I won't see you again, and she left him.
-
There's teamle in this building. He lisis her left him because they fell
-
in love with God. In this fellowship and in this harmony was not of
-
their choosing. It was the choices. Say that. Somebody answer, and
-
I'm filling somebody. You're gonna pray again, You're gonna shot heaven? You're
-
what I have? No? Yeah, well, passing tread treat A truc
-
may come. But I want you to know what your enemy don't know.
-
The Tessa over rock be calls ing you. So I said, have you
-
got hold on where you arise? You will tread over a thread your enemy,
-
AmAm Amen. That's our Lord's words. They that love with any family
-
member more than me, they're not worthy of me. I know the followers
-
of Jesus Christ will sometimes suffer persecution. In fact, everyone that I've ever
-
known at some point has been persecuted. I know, that followers of Jesus
-
Christ will get along with one another to the best of their ability. But
-
I know that religious people will struggle in this area. Panita dead, Kyphas
-
dead as dead. But Nicodemus didn't. Neither did Joseph of Arimathea. Neither
-
did Peter. For every hypocrite, there is a Peter. I'm telling you,
-
for every threat, there is a promise for the child of God.
-
There are people in thisbulity that are suffering at the mouth and the hands of
-
people that would not put on a pair of pants. I'm talking about a
-
woman, and there are women that would not cut their hair persecuting you.
-
That would have been Penina's case. I'm telling you, brother Jesse, she
-
would have been living the letter of the law perfectly, and she would have
-
been the role model Christian. In fact, seemingly she's probably the deacon's wife.
-
And there she is behind the scenes. Pinon owner, Hannah, I'm
-
telling you it's your pastor, God. Let me hear a little bit of
-
what you're needing with her behind the scenes. And the verses helped me.
-
The verses of your enemy that is strengthing you. It at me and I
-
searched this concerns after God spoke to me to preach to you, treading on
-
the threat in the future, you will noe longer. He bothered by that
-
poem called a maker, by that thrector. They naker you want me not
-
to travernial water trumper after duns back. It will not take a pact.
-
It will not penetrate to you, because Jesus said, if they got it
-
to me, they're good to you. You're no better than he is.
-
I'm not looking for this plichipher. I'm not looking for this association. I'm
-
not looking for this harmony that if the walk to Separator didn't let thee I
-
said in that great coping, your heart ain't for him. He you just
-
seem like care you put the reason God. He just they're preaching between your
-
horn that he is. He's been because of the fribble body did he his
-
hard telling you I can try to run them all right, He's been in
-
a hard looking but all time they'll try to make it out to be that
-
you're the black sheep when named. No, the truth, Jesus was not
-
the black sheep. John the Baptism was not the black sheep. He was
-
the holy ghost field Christian. Should I keep preaching that, shouldn't go house
-
and chicken. I'd like to beat the Baptist the chicken house, but I
-
don't know that the Holy girls wants to beat him there there, wants us
-
to clean up after them. And that's what the hole of his people have
-
been doing for years, clean up after He's false teachers. Now help me
-
clean up their mess. They're saying, every child of God will get along,
-
let me take him. That's true. If they are a child of
-
God, we have they're a professor child of God. No matter how religious
-
Captas is, he just can't stand the preaching of Jesus. He just can't
-
stand the ministry. They're chiding the Baptis. Oh my Jesus, I feel
-
a holy ghost in this place. You know, Naven, he was trying
-
to be a peaceaful man. He instilled peace in the heart of Israel.
-
In fact, he unified the kingdom. But in one particular instance, the
-
summer said, I am for peace, but when I speak, they are
-
for war. It's true that we have uncovered unexpected enemies of during our Christian
-
journey. It's like, what's that? Oh my, No, of course,
-
look reveals her. It's somebody is septing them. He's never inspecting him.
-
You're suspecting them. Oh my, what's captor? Who's that telling me?
-
It'll be okay to trim my hair? The little Ben'll be okay to
-
watch her come be mer king t by the hole in the students then looking
-
of custom movements instead allowed. That's her retreat her. He's allowing that her.
-
I'm talking about her. I'm expecting it a me. So they rise
-
up. Then they told Daggers I can true chilling the God and they might
-
call abody else stay pucking. Then the tell amaker listen, ah the watch.
-
What's not tell a baker? Do you all? Is that? I'm
-
turning away? That's the vider, the king, the hip prefar you divided
-
the king me having Tessabelle we hear idolatry is nothing new. There won't us
-
to put things between us and God. Sister work, I'm gonna tread on
-
the threat. It's true holiness. It don't have to be old time holiness,
-
because if he defined his old time, then supposedly there's a new time.
-
It's holiness. It's the same right now as it was in the days
-
of John Wessell. And it's the same in the days of John Wessell as
-
it was in the days of Peter. And if it ain't holiness, and
-
it ain't separated, and it ain't sanctified, it ain't Pentecostal. It's a
-
religion, for it's a form of Godness, but it ain't got the power
-
of Pentecostal. I'm talking to some pinkle. You're gonna tread over the threat
-
of compromise. You're gonna tread They're gonna expect you to seek in the click
-
saying, oh the thought doctrines aren't teaching to but to go to tread on
-
serpent, I said her. We're gonna tread her on serpet the copper papers
-
their surpriser. You under this, that's the trouble from each other to the
-
promised lander. When my did my serpenter to another mind tent, that's where
-
then we will look to the crosser and we'll kept on. We'll keep on
-
tread neger threat p I said, well, I keep away treat then the
-
threat. I'm not gonna turn Baca, I'm not gonna look back. I
-
will never be her. This sequel to the member lot's life. I said
-
that I will never be happy to go back to Happy, to look at
-
Macao, to lands hero yesteryear Gott expected him. I didn't expect it to
-
be this one. I didn't expect it to be my pastor that I had
-
for forty years. I didn't expect it to be that great man of God,
-
woman of God. I didn't expect them and tell me just a little
-
ruse will do there's a little plastic on the lips to do. Oh my
-
Jesus, I didn't expect it to be my pastor's wife to tell me I
-
have an experienceive with some of you have. It's okay to get into tan
-
and booth. I'll tell you the way to get your high. Ten go
-
down here on a private beach on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico,
-
and ten your hands and ten your feet. That's about all it needs to
-
be. Ten And if you need something else ten come to the Bethel hole
-
in his shirt or ten and hides every summer morning or the Sunday night forever.
-
Wednesday night, I'm gonna fearing a hole of ghost treating on the threat.
-
We've lost some sleep because of the threats. We've lost some sleep because
-
of the threats. Even if you do this, I'm gonna backslide. If
-
you do this, I'm gonna kill myself. That's time. What ted up
-
the frut? If you read us long about sliding, it's time to tad
-
ho go tray call I feel the Holy do so here in this homeiness she
-
let's reflect on the words of Sister Hannah, who wanted the victory over her
-
enemy again tonight. I should have been her best friend. But Banana chose
-
to make herself hand his enemy. And in our text, our gold text,
-
Handah said my heart rejoicing in the Lord. Yeah. Happy you're not
-
going to touch again. Yeah. Happy to be in a spirit feeling church
-
with a spirit led leadership. Yeah. Plad to be able to say I
-
can be in the presence or coll taking loud Hannah ship my heart, but
-
Joseph in the larity. My hord is exalted in the Lord. My mouth
-
is in large over mine enemies and rather than your As I was reading a
-
text, I to go delt with me about this during the night, I
-
thought about title big math praises. Now who's the big mouth to not pay
-
hair? Is she said, my mouth is ill. Lord, I'm no
-
longer a prince sal prayers and momsa in the spirit having Then I said,
-
no, my mind is over crist that's being us. I to get it
-
out. Then I praise in God. Then I wasn't for God. I'm
-
telling somebody that you ought to be a big mother, par Royal. Iid
-
trust in thy salvation. Hanser, what's the big deal you had a baby?
-
Oh no, I had more than a baby. Well, the Philip
-
just looking at you. What's the big deal? You just had a baby.
-
But I have seen that that baby is a blessing that has changed his
-
life all ready. Come on, now, Panaa was a formidable food,
-
but she wasn't greater than Hannah's. God, let me stink of us wonderful
-
people who are here today. I've seen firsthand the horror of warfare. You're
-
in my lifetime. I've ambasted in the blessings of God, and I've also
-
tasted the bitter more sols of betrayal. I've experienced the seeking feeling of watching
-
fellow Christian soldiers beer to the left and beer to the right. I've seen
-
him come to a streeching heart and cease their pursuit of the fiding truth and
-
righteousness. I've heard of them saying they're talking in tongues of longer relevant for
-
people this generation simply because they lost her what they watch had and they won't
-
learn the five point back. And so it's easy just to discredit for that
-
experience. Oh come on, but there's a checkers in this Bible that has
-
comforted me many times as I have experience to the uprising and the suffacing of
-
the unexpected enemy. And how WoT you and Methal preachers and dear Mechel family
-
remember this, I said. One of my favorite chapters in the book of
-
the Bible is in the Bible is Psalm ninety one. I appreciate this wonderful
-
church family. I appreciate her, my wonderful colmy family. But the only
-
real sourcer of protection, security and strength that I have is in our Lord
-
to Jesus Christ. Aren't you glad to be part of the family. Aren't
-
you glad to be a member of this family? Somebody asked me recently,
-
said am I a member of this church? I said, well, we
-
don't have official membership, but if you're faithfully attending this church. You are
-
a member of the family of God. Hannah was definitely a member of her
-
husband's family, and Fania was definitely part of that family, but she had
-
been disappointed in her family. Am I preaching anybody today you ever been disappointed
-
in your family? Immediate family, church, family, work, family?
-
But you know what, Hannah found help in the Lord. First John four
-
and four John to Love had said to the church, he said, you
-
are of God little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he
-
that is in you than he that is in the world. Listen, someone
-
may choose to be your enemy, and they may decide to not let you
-
in their world, and they mistreat you, and they threaten you. They
-
may threaten see I'm telling you, they threaten you relentlessly, and it increases
-
with intensity. But brother Tyler, though they may not let me in the
-
world, it's okay because this world is not my home. And I do
-
not love the things of the world and the things that are in the world,
-
because the love of the things of the world, the love of the
-
Father in me. They may choose to torment you relentlessy, But remember God
-
is in you, and they are in the world, and the world is
-
in them. So when they don't let you in their world, just remember
-
you're in God's world, and God is greater. No matter what you face,
-
he is able to deliver and defend you. So I'm twenty five two
-
and three our brother red our code text, Oh my God, you shouldn't
-
use the Lord's name in a And that's where this expression comes from, right
-
here in the twenty fifth som Oh my God. And that expression has always
-
followed with a prayer. I trust indeed, let me not be ashamed.
-
Let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yeah. Let none that wait on
-
me be a shame. Let them not be a shame. Which trust indeed,
-
Nada was no longer breathing down handles neck, Brother Jesse, when you
-
come to the pimp and I want to tell somebody, God showed me the
-
one that you love, who considers themselves to be your enemy. You pray
-
for them, you bless them, you treat them good, even though they
-
treat you ill, and they despotuby, use you and even abuse you.
-
You pray for them. But they're not always going to be breathing down your
-
neck. Were threatening, sir, The enemy had come after Hannah, because
-
the enemy knew with the blessing that was going to come through the enemy knew
-
that Hannah was the conduit the blessing the nation of Israel through the prophetic ministry
-
of saying, or could it be that right now you're suffering because of the
-
blessing it come through you. And so moy and Dad, they don't understand
-
why the radical change. They don't understand why the sanctification of your why the
-
separation, why the deliberance. And that's what Hannah was saying, I rejoiced
-
in the salvation. Trust me, I'm being picked on right now, but
-
in the future, you're gonna thank me that I had a relationship with God.
-
My dear mother in law when we first went into a separated lifestyle.
-
We're friends of the people of this world. We work in this world.
-
We don't make enemies. But she took it as abandonment. She took it
-
as isolation. Even though we intermingle, we go to work, we go
-
to shopping. We don't live in a commune, we don't live in a
-
convent. We're not members of a cult. But she just couldn't understand that
-
if the family went to wiki watche we weren't going. If they were going
-
to the water park, we weren't going. She couldn't understand if they were
-
going to the movie house, why we weren't going any longer. But then
-
ten years later came a sweep text. And now thirty years later came another
-
sweet text two days ago, and she said, Charity, you and Jeremy
-
have done a wonderful job building a beautiful family, and I'm so thankful that
-
y'all surrendered to the calm with the will of God for y'all's life. And
-
and Elizabeth, when she was here, she caught me over there on the
-
side of the church and she said, Jeremy, I want you to know
-
I didn't fully understand all of it. Did although let me tell you she
-
did admit later she was raised this way even though she wanted it. Actually
-
she didn't know anything about it. She admitted, she was raised this way.
-
You'll be surprised people know more than they let on. But in Philip
-
and Elizabeth's way, she told me, she said, I didn't really understand
-
it at the time, she said, but it all makes sense now.
-
You and Charity went to South Florida. It's just far enough a way to
-
make it hard for all of us to keep in touch like you would like
-
to. But now when I look around and see this beautiful church family,
-
the beautiful work that God is doing in this area, it all makes sense.
-
Now. Now, what about when the prophet Sam will begin to prophesy,
-
where are you now, Banana, let's stand, where are the threats
-
now? And I want to close with this by telling you all, you're
-
not wrestling against flesh and blood. Those people, they are not your enemy.
-
It's the spirits that are manipulating and controlling those people. The Bible said,
-
we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but we wrestle against spiritual wickedness
-
in our places. Brother Sam, Jehannah's days of being bullied and threatened were
-
over. And I want to conclude with this treading on the threat can be
-
done by and begin with this praying too and worshiping the father that is training
-
on the threat with a big mouth of praise. I thank you, Lord,
-
and I praise you. That's what the Bible said. And Handah pray.
-
And she goes on to say to her enemies, what about me?
-
Now, let's bow our heads this morning? Could we do that? Are
-
you that one that would say the enemy of my soul has been breathing down
-
by Nick and I have been persecuted and provoked relentlessly. Your companion, your
-
spouse, your friend, your parents may not know about it, but you
-
raise your hand? Is that you? One? Two, three, four?
-
Five? Is there another? Six? Seven? Is there one?
-
More? Different hands went up this morning than what more to go up?
-
Eight? Is there one more? Nine? I honestly felt like there's a
-
tenth flint. That's how it felt. There's the tenth ont Now can we
-
find a place to pray wherever that is? And when you begin treading on
-
the threat just by praying too with worship and the Father just right in the
-
face of your enemies, to tread on the threat. Yeah, let's say,
-
keeping them What a praise? She just talked her boy short. She
-
is the all should say for the lady car Why should I sick the nose
-
away? And God a bit higher and the start and this family, willing
-
Lord right out of this family and my hands and praise the Lord. Ain't
-

-

-

-
don't get n gone along out of this valley with my lord. H see,

-
me what did I see until I die? The way that we need to
-
be higher on the wall. Out of this valley with we will roll the
