Purpose.
-
Amen, at y'all, thanks for being the presence of the
-
Lord this morning. Sure, I'm thinking of what I've already
-
felt this morning. I mean, I'm thankful we have a
-
God that's mindful of us. Amen, will talk to us.
-
Amen.
-
The Bible tells us of us some people, Amen, multiple Amen,
-
people throughout.
-
The Bible and tire nations.
-
Amen, would put their hope and trust in a God
-
that couldn't even talk.
-
To them in a graven image.
-
You remember, we know this morning we've got a God
-
that will speak to us.
-
Amen.
-
Even let me take a moment say, Amen, we just
-
definitely miss our pastor this morning.
-
Avan.
-
Their absence has definitely felt Amen. I looked up a
-
moment ago as well, and I realized I had a
-
coworker here this morning. It's abashing great to have you
-
this morning. Even that's a wonderful young man. A heart
-
work room and if I've ever seen one, and we
-
enjoyed working with Sebastian always, and man, they're to lend
-
a hand and help us, and man, y'll help us
-
this morning as we preach, and then we're gonna be
-
over in second King's where the Lord led me this morning.
-
Kind of for this morning's service. I'm second King's chapter
-
number six.
-
I'm gonna take a little bit of time this morning.
-
I felt like I needed to to build a foundation
-
before we get where we're going.
-
So I hope y'all will help us. Amen, help us,
-
and pray.
-
Amen, prayer matters, Prayer shageous things A man. Prayer can
-
turn an awful preacher like me even and to someone.
-
At least you get something out of the message.
-
Amen.
-
All right, Segi King's chapter number six. We're gonna start
-
around verse number eight here even eight nine, then what's
-
kept down and read thirteen and fourteen. Then the king
-
of Syria a ward against Israel, and took counsel with
-
his servants, singing in such and such.
-
A place shall be my camp. And the Man of
-
God sent.
-
Unto the King of Visuals, saying, beware that thou pass
-
not such a place, for thither the Syrians are come down.
-
And man now skipping down the verse number thirteen, and.
-
He said, go and spy where he is, that I
-
may send and fetch him. And it was told him saying,
-
behold he is indowthed. Therefore sent he thither horses and
-
chariots and great hosts.
-
And they came by night and compassed the city. Amen.
-
That'll be all our read And Amen, for now, if
-
you would stretch your hands toward Heaven, ask God to
-
help us.
-
Lord. We thank you for your word.
-
God.
-
We believe your word is still relevant today.
-
God.
-
It still speaks to us.
-
And talks to us and shows us God your heart, Lord,
-
and speaks to us and encourages us.
-
God, We thank you for your word.
-
Lord.
-
We asked that you would send a guard about in.
-
My mouth, and letting me not say anything, you would
-
not have to, thank God, Lord, but everything you would, Lord,
-
I asked that you would.
-
Touch some heart.
-
Lord.
-
That's why we're here this morning.
-
Amen, the individual with bind strength and help and encouragement.
-
God breathe on a coat bredth of God this.
-
Morning, Lord, working in this service the Lord, Glory in
-
your honor, we prayed, and man, and we'll give you
-
the glory, the honor and the praise in Jesus' name.
-
The man and the amen. All right now, just their starters.
-
Things, places and things intrigued me and always have. And
-
here we find the in our text we find the
-
prophet Elisha, who we know was almost if you would,
-
the prodigy of the great prophet, Elijah and Elisha. Here
-
Elijah has done, died and went on the glory. And
-
now Elisha carries the mantle.
-
Of the Man of God. And what we have was
-
we have the King.
-
Of Syria here, as we said, saw in verse number eight.
-
Here he is attacking, Amen, the children of Visual, the
-
King of Syria. Amen. And what we when we read
-
on down in verse number thirteen and fourteen, and we're
-
going to kind of get through what we skipped over here, Amen,
-
But here we see that the King of Israel is
-
looking for the Man of God because the Man of
-
God spoiled his plans. And me in verse number nine,
-
we saw God, Amen told Elijah, Elisha and.
-
Man where the King of Syria had set up his camp.
-
And Man, and when you when you live, Amen, among
-
or near a Man of God, there are times and man,
-
the Man of God tells you things.
-
You don't want to hear, that you.
-
Wish he didn't know, He didn't he didn't have an
-
awareness of. And then there's times and man, you just
-
down the right thankful Amen, that he knew something he
-
shouldn't have. And Elishah is such a man, a man
-
that he knew something he shouldn't have known. And and
-
in the end here the king of the King of
-
Syria begins to think he has a rat if you would,
-
in the in the middle of his camp when he
-
sits down and he says, tell me, now, Amen, who's
-
gonna who's signing with Israel? Who rapping me out? Who's
-
telling my plans? Who told the King of Israel? Amen,
-
I laid out a beautiful plan.
-
I set up my tents here, and we were gonna
-
ambush them. Amen.
-
But he never came by Amen. The Bible said that
-
the King of Israel saved himself there, not once or twice.
-
Amen.
-
So he saved himselves multiple times there. And so the
-
King of Syria he had a good plan.
-
Amen.
-
He definitely had a good plan. He had laid it
-
all out, and it would have worked.
-
But for God.
-
Now, I've seen the enemy Amen, in my life, but
-
in many others life, and man laid a beautiful plan Amen,
-
out to cause us grief and problems. And at the
-
end of the day, Amen, we can stand and say Amen.
-
If it hadn't been for God, Amen, I would have
-
felt prayed of that Now.
-
Just to give you a little context here, Amen, of Dothan.
-
The Bible says Elisha was was dwelling here at doth
-
and kind of amen his humble abode.
-
Now Dothan means too wells Amen. It's roughly at.
-
The sub it's about ten miles from some area where
-
the we'll find. The King of Issue was set up
-
later on the slopes there, or it was about a
-
fifteen acre slope up.
-
That they occupied.
-
And then there was seemingly what you could call aim
-
in a plateau, was about ten acres at the top. Amen,
-
this this area of Dothan, this mountain, if you would
-
rose about sixty meters high. Right now, they've already they
-
have discovered what they believed to be Amen, ancient Dothan.
-
I mean, I love that about the Bible. People love to.
-
Try to discredit it, Amen, and then they find things
-
out about it. Amen that there's no way Amen, two
-
people Amen would have known and been able to write this.
-
So I thank God for that. So they did find
-
ancient Dothan. Now the sixty meters for some of you, Amen,
-
that ain't very good with meters, that's about one hundred
-
and ninety six feet Amen, So about one hundred and
-
ninety six feet, which depending on how a house or
-
a skyscraper is built, that could be between fifteen and
-
nineteen stories tall. A man, that's a pretty good sized building.
-
That's a pretty good sized mountain there that Elisha.
-
Would have been living on, about the.
-
Size of what was a famous building the eighteen hundreds
-
known as the Insurance Building. If you need a mental
-
image after the message, and I know this is a
-
little different than I've ever done this, but this is
-
how I felt led a man, So if you need
-
a mental image, almost to the mountain of dothing and
-
kind of Amen. How tall it was in the eighteen hundreds,
-
about eighteen eighty five, they built a building called the
-
Insurance Building. It's known as the father of the skyscraper.
-
And man, it was ten stories tall, and then they
-
added twelve they added two more stories to it. A man, totally,
-
I believe it was somewhereund yeah, somewhere around one hundred
-
and eighty feet and mean, it's a knock wise as
-
tall as dough and Amen. But I need if I
-
can get a mental image sometimes.
-
That I can construct the picture. Amen.
-
So in my mind's eye, I can see that building,
-
and now I can kind of build a man in
-
the Mountain of Doth in there.
-
Amen.
-
And Elisha was Amen, I guess he was a wealthy prophet.
-
Then he lived on Scottscraper. Amen, any of all I
-
could live in a Scott's Scraper.
-
Amen. So let's get into the word of God.
-
Here we begin here in our text looking looking at
-
a piece of history. I mean, we believe the Word
-
of God is fact. Amen, It's it's not It's not
-
possible for God to lie. The Bible says, and what
-
he has given to us is truth.
-
Amen. Truth.
-
From from the first page Amen, to the last page.
-
You can find Amen, everything in there is truth, and
-
you can fact check that a man and find out
-
God is true a man and every man is a liar.
-
So here and then we look at a piece of history,
-
if you would preserved on these holy pages. Now, some
-
of these people had to have names that we've already
-
started learning about here, and some were just.
-
Seemingly alone for the ride.
-
Now, the king of Syria here, his name is Ben
-
hey Dad, Amen, of the king of Israel at this time,
-
and man, we know they had several kings with the
-
King of Israel of Israel at this time is Jehoram,
-
the son of none other than the notorious A Have Amen. Now,
-
King Asa had kind of started a problem Amen, for
-
Jehoram and for some of the kings of Israel when
-
he and he had paid Amen back around first King
-
chapter number fifteen, he pays the King of Assyria to
-
come in and begin to invade the land of Israel.
-
And no doubt we see here that the land of
-
Israel is still dealing with the side effects Amen, of
-
what their enemies called.
-
And sometimes in life we feel like, Amen.
-
We get stuck in Now, Amen, stuck we meant dealing
-
with the side effects Amen, of situations others put us
-
in a man, the adversary still here is at odds. Amen,
-
with the people of God. At first number eight we
-
see the King of Syria begins to devise a plan.
-
Amen. He starts a war and then again with Israel. Amen.
-
And he takes counsel, He gets his counsel together.
-
Amen, He decides where he's gonna set up and man
-
to kind of field his base. But the prophet living
-
down in Novan, a man get some top secret intelligence
-
from God, a man his sins words that jahor that
-
he better and be careful where he's going him.
-
In verse number nine we find that reference.
-
And when God uses the Man of God, and then
-
even in current Amen times and then we must be
-
careful even to give earnest heed to that which God
-
has warned us up. And then we find here a
-
king him and the Man of God seriously when he spoke,
-
and because of this he benefits Amen from the words
-
of God Amen in his situation.
-
And then God will talk to us all Amen. Sometimes
-
they man.
-
There are things that addressed the church, Amen, and then
-
there are things that address us as individual. And then
-
we must all have the good sense to know, Amen,
-
that it's for our benefit. I mean, if we could
-
trust God the way we should, and then we would
-
know and give God the benefit of the doubt and
-
know him.
-
And God is working things for our good. Amen.
-
So Amen, God, Amen has failed the king Jahrm out
-
of a vast situation.
-
And I've experienced this myself. Amen. To praise God when
-
God fails me out. Amen. Hell.
-
The Bible says, we have an adversary walking about, seeking.
-
Whom he made his devour, a man.
-
And brother Caleb singing about us being on a battlefield.
-
And then sometimes it's not something we see him and
-
it's just something that's there. We seem like life won't
-
take a good turn for us, And then sometimes we
-
feel like we're stuck in the same mundane thing and
-
man and all of this can be a man and
-
attack of the enemy. Amen. To give us a discontent
-
and if there with God it isn't can there's great day.
-
There's a bit of bit Amen to being content here. Amen.
-
So what I'm trying to tell you this morning is Amen,
-
I don't know what you're going through, Amen, but I
-
know the devil will attack you all individually.
-
Amen.
-
He attacks me as a person. I'm not above the
-
attack of the enemy. Mayben, he will attack you.
-
Amen. A good way a good boy is to do it, Amen,
-
in a way that you think it's someone else.
-
They mean to do it in a way that you
-
don't realize it's the enemy. Theymen to be called that
-
you can't identify the threat. A lot of times if
-
you will struggle, Amen, to languish. Shit, he am so here, Amen,
-
versus eleven through fourteen theyven. Let's read them just real
-
quiks that we don't miss this context here. Therefore the
-
heart of the King of Syria was sore troubled for
-
this thing. And he called his servants and said, under them,
-
will you not shoot me? Which of us? And it
-
is for the King of Israel. And one of his
-
servants said, none of my lord, old King, but a
-
life share the prophet that is in Israel. Tell them,
-
the King of Israel, the words that thou speakest.
-
In thy bedchamber.
-
And he said, go and spy where he is, and
-
I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, behold,
-
he is indoped.
-
And then get him down to where we've already read.
-
Therefore he sent here, and then said he thither horses
-
and cherriots and the great hosts.
-
And they came by night and compassed the city of Bath.
-
Amen. So the enemy's plan here is to leave no escape.
-
They mean to leave him in no way out for the.
-
Man of God. The trapping me up. And then we
-
see the motive.
-
Amen is dead or alive, just to seize the child
-
of God and remove Amen his freedom.
-
They then remove his voice. Amen. For God and man
-
can use a man of God to use a woman
-
with a voice. Amen.
-
Someone is willing to speak of and say aye, Amen,
-
praise God, hurt it from the Lord. The devil has
-
never liked they've been someone with a prayer life. The
-
devil has never liked someone when they've been a good
-
Bible reading program. And then the devil will attack a
-
man as the old saying, he is the weakest, sleep with.
-
The devil also will attack those in the strongest. And
-
then the Bible said to begin, they meant get the shepherd.
-
The sheep will scatter.
-
Amen. So here Amen, we see Amen that that here. Amen,
-
the king of Syria is a target. Amen.
-
That which is caused they'men the nation of Israel to it.
-
It's the odds prevailed.
-
They and so he here, and then he see him,
-
and he compasses him the mouth.
-
Amen.
-
He surrounds him, but gets seemingly trapped. Amen, where it
-
feels he has no escape. Now, I don't know where
-
you're all out this morning. All I can tell you, amen,
-
is what the men tapped me up.
-
They mean to walk this morning.
-
They been praying and studying and tigging man to get
-
the mind of God. Amen. And there are many things
-
in this life that will make us feel trapped. And
-
then it calls us to begin to feel a sense
-
of despair.
-
Amen.
-
The great somis we all know the beloved King David
-
and man he gave us a look into a little
-
bit more of this, and he sat in songs one,
-
O nine and first number three, and that they can
-
pass me about also with words of hatred.
-
Amen. So here, Amen, it's not just it's some guy,
-
just not.
-
Just in the physical we feel surrounded and trapped, and
-
then we feel as though we're hatched in, and then
-
we don't know how it can get better. We don't
-
know how we can get around it. We don't know
-
how we can get over it. We just feel like
-
we're trapped. They been living the same old life they
-
met a David said, they can bassed me about it.
-
They surrounded me with hateful words.
-
They man a.
-
True true Amen, the words Amen of a friend they
-
met willing quick, they mad a greedious wound and the
-
dingom I mean the king they met of Israel at
-
that time. David would say, Amana, I experienced painful words.
-
I experienced things Amen, that made me feel surround it,
-
that made me feel trapped. Put. The good news is
-
they been for the child of God. We're telling her
-
long and told.
-
We feeling that overwhelmed, though we feel seemingly to be
-
over Tarba. They've been talking the loy be with us.
-
We always walk beside us. We don't never reader or
-
forsake us. The Bible say, man even go with us.
-
Oh way at Taven would experienced things like this, and
-
we will see a liar Sinnana.
-
They been go through things too.
-
They confessed me about also with words of hatred. But
-
they didn't stop there, they said, and fought against me
-
without a cause. Then maybe this morning you don't know
-
where the struggle your red has come from. And man,
-
you just know you've been bombarded. And then I help
-
us Lord, Amen, I know, amen, this is a little different.
-
And then but all I can do is preach what
-
God has given me for you. And then there are
-
times we feel as though we are a mean handstand
-
on every side, and then by those that seek our demisemen.
-
But I just come to encourage you this morning that
-
God is with us. And when it gets overwhelmed in God,
-
the more meeting was recently.
-
Amen, God will be with us. Amen.
-
Now let's read verse number fifteen and kind of see
-
the reaction here, Amen of the servant of Elisha, the
-
Man of God. He said, And when the servant of
-
the Man of God was risen up and then risen
-
early and going forth, behold and hosts can pass the city.
-
And then both with horses and arias. And his servant
-
said unto him, Alast, my master, how shall we do?
-
And man, how shall we do? And then we see
-
the distraught which overtakes the servant.
-
Here.
-
Amen, he's up early and amen, to start his workday.
-
And men, some of us start pretty early.
-
Amen.
-
And then we get to work pretty early, and then
-
sometimes before daybreak. And then and here the servant of
-
the Man of God, he's rising up early. He goes
-
out maybe years the amen, the jingling of the horses bridle,
-
or here's amen, something one amen, playing.
-
With their sword. And when he says that's amen, that's
-
that's something I'm not used to. Amen, That's a sound
-
I'm not familiar with. Amen. So Amen.
-
Sometimes they been true to true to that, Amen, true
-
to that train of thought. Sometimes is that which, Amen,
-
we least expect or when we least expect it, they
-
could slip under our guards so easily.
-
Amen. Yes, we've been through life some of us, Amen, Amen,
-
older than others.
-
Amen, I still consider myself a whipper snapper Amen, a
-
young man.
-
Amen.
-
But as we age, we begin and then to the
-
villa Amen of resistance to things, And then we begin
-
to know more people. We say, well, I know that person,
-
Amen will say something hurtful.
-
If I let him in.
-
He remember, Sometimes just that person we didn't expect.
-
They've been that easily slides under.
-
The guard and so amen quickly wounds us and leaves
-
us hurting.
-
Here.
-
So the servant arises to do a man his dately Amen,
-
task him in probably the routine task. Amen, and suddenly
-
he's beset by something he wasn't expecting.
-
Amen.
-
And that that is what we've experienced through our lives.
-
They bet the devil knows how to catch us off guard.
-
And man, he knows how to use things against us.
-
They meant that when we would have never anticipated or
-
expect you and been of the servant of Amen, and
-
the man of God here, Amen, he's oh off guard.
-
And man, I don't really know the Amen, the servant here,
-
I mean, we don't get much detail about him.
-
We don't know how he lives.
-
But all we can see is his response, Amen, in
-
many times us, oh High and mighty, even people. And
-
then we loved to fault these kind of characters, and saying, man,
-
look how he responded. All he felt of fear, and
-
then he fell all he ran to the Man of
-
God said, what are we gonna do?
-
Amen?
-
But if we were to be a realist this morning,
-
I wonder, amen, and to put ourselves on that in
-
those shoes, if we And then again, this is history preserved.
-
This happened.
-
And then sometimes we get the packed from the word
-
of God and we read it like a book. But
-
this happened, and been in the servant of God really
-
awoke that morning while the dude was probably still on
-
the ground. Amen, And he looked out the window and
-
opened the door and realized he was in a bad fix.
-
And man, he was surrounded. He was in trouble. There
-
was no way out, and there was no way around it.
-
And then so we're a realist this morning, and say
-
he knew and then that they were after them, but
-
he stayed with a lie shame, and I can admire them.
-
Then, ayven, the man of God here is.
-
He's not trouble. But the servity man is taken with
-
a little bit of fear. I believe, Amen, and you
-
see him Man. His response to this, Amen, is to
-
go to the Man of God. That is a great response.
-
And then in times of trouble and testing, may man,
-
that's a great response when you begin to feel like
-
the devil is coming against.
-
You, and ben the dove. They been to the proper source.
-
And then many people run the things they meant to
-
just drown their sorrows for a time. They run the
-
things the man that doesn't give them peace of mind
-
when they awake in the morning, theymember there is a
-
God against the odds can.
-
Give you a say good to you and give you
-
peace of mind. Will overcome that we just come against you.
-
I know I look back.
-
For the Servant, and I don't know how bad it
-
looks for you this morning.
-
God.
-
Maybe it's family problems, maybe it's bill trouble.
-
I really don't know.
-
But I just come to tell you you have a
-
friend that's stipping closer, that a brother. He is walking
-
beside you, Amen, and he will be with you now.
-
The Servant he stands.
-
Here with Elisha and Man, even though he lacked the
-
faith to believe in an overcoming God for him, I man,
-
And I've seen people, I mean they've seen the workings
-
of God, especially hear at Bethel. They see the working
-
of God and man, and how he moved from brother
-
Philip in the cancer situation and the doctor still can't understand,
-
and then how the miraculous work took place.
-
And it's easy a man for me to stand.
-
Over here and then see a young man with a
-
head full of hero and believe in an overcoming God
-
for him. But then when I find myself in a fix, Amen,
-
it's easy for that doubt of the road cap tad
-
about this morning and then to settle in and begin
-
to try to strangle my faith. And then this morning,
-
if there's one thing I can encourage you, and then
-
you must believe in an overcoming God for you.
-
He is an individual.
-
God, And the Bible said he's not a respector of persons.
-
What he done for brother Philip, he would do for me.
-
They may if I have the same response. And man,
-
he's not a respector of persons, Amen, But he's a
-
respector of the response.
-
And you must know.
-
How, amen, you act, how to respond to God if
-
you expect to get him to move on your behalf Amen.
-
So maybe amen, you're asking this morning. Amen, as the
-
servant did, how shall we do?
-
Amen? House, that we.
-
Pay those bills and those pending expenses, and then how shall.
-
We fare or make out or come through this? Amen?
-
This seemingly was the cry of the servant. He said,
-
how shall we do?
-
Mayben? He saw the odds, he.
-
Saw what he was up agaists, and then in from
-
the show he said, how shall we do? And then
-
there's nothing wrong with the child of God. They've been
-
falling on their knees and said, Lord, how am I
-
gonna do this? So? How am I gonna make it
-
through this? Be an honest and gada and letting you.
-
Know you need his help. And man, it's just like
-
a child.
-
Coming to their father a time of me and saying,
-
I need some assistance.
-
God never expected you to go on along. God never
-
expecting you.
-
To do it by yourself. That's why he gave you
-
a promise. He do me with you, because they do
-
that color cod need him. And that's why I said
-
I'll be there Alla when they do that.
-
Be a time, and that you.
-
Needed him on your side, O God, first number sixty.
-
I know we're just walking through this kind of slowly
-
this morning, the Bible said, And he answered that Elijah's
-
speaking of the servant. After that servant has asked, how
-
shall we do? He said, and he answered, fear not were.
-
They that be with us, or more than they? And
-
en that be with them.
-
Now, if you note the word structure here is There
-
is other phrasings in the Bible that says for us
-
and men. But here he is saying with us, man,
-
I love that.
-
And then because God is with us, God is with us.
-
He walks beside you. And what you see here is
-
a glimpse of the omnipresent God.
-
Amen. The goverment is on your side and by your side. Amen.
-
When he said and.
-
He would go with you even been with us, he
-
meant just that he would go with us.
-
Amen.
-
There has never been a situation or in need that
-
has scared God away. Let me say that again. There
-
has never been a situation, Amen, in all the time
-
or in need that is scared God away. We never
-
find ourselves in a fix, amen, or our shady alley.
-
So to speaking, a situation and man that our best
-
friend has turned around and said, well, that one's kind
-
of yours. I'm not going that way.
-
I mean, I've seen some people, a man, they kind
-
of get sketched out, if you would, and then they
-
use the modern language somebody you may understand and.
-
Something may not.
-
And then they get sketched down. They start feeling the man,
-
I don't I don't know, I don't like this situation,
-
and they'll leave somebody with it. Amen, Jesus has never
-
left somebody. Amen, in the midst of their trial.
-
He has never left him.
-
They went in the midst of despair, he has never
-
left him in the missed the moment.
-
He's never left them in the midst of bond Witchell.
-
And then when they call him a god, he was
-
a god that was present time. He was a god
-
that was available for every individual. Amen.
-
He is a faithful command companion.
-
And when God is working in all kinds of ways
-
throughout the Bible.
-
And then we read of how I mean he simply
-
used the singers to discombit an army a man. We've
-
heard about how David had.
-
To lie in wait, Amen, a weight on the sound
-
of a golden in the tops of the mulberry trees.
-
And then we know of how one individual would blow
-
on a trumpet and shatter some pots and men him.
-
The army would flee.
-
And then there's other times and then God would just intervene, Amen,
-
and they would come upon a camp Amen, and they
-
were just they were gone, I mean, nobody was around
-
a man of this would happen even later on in
-
this chapter. If you keep on reading and have a
-
hankering too, you can buy. But God done just that
-
for them. And then, so I'm not telling you I
-
know how.
-
God's gonna move in your situation. I'm not saying I
-
know how He's gonna work it out for you. I'm
-
just telling you he is able to work it out
-
for you. Amen. He will not let you down or
-
fail you. That Praise God.
-
There there's a sister here that says our grandmother. I
-
believe it was something like this, that God will do
-
to trust. And then God will do to trust you
-
can trust him. So here the Bible tells us Amen, Amen,
-
about what's going on. And the Bible tells us in
-
another place, and then that the Bible that God camps
-
around his children.
-
Amen, and Praise God.
-
A situation has never separated a saint from the savior.
-
And then we know of people that have been up
-
against it.
-
Amen.
-
And genusis we find him and Joseph looking for his brethren,
-
and someone Amen points them him in a familiar direction
-
to our texas for it, and they tell him.
-
Amen, they went towards Dothan. Amen. Many believed this is
-
the same Dothan. Amen. And Joseph found.
-
Himself in a sticky situation. His brothers wasn't too fond
-
of him a man, and they threw him down in
-
a pit a man, and then they end up selling
-
him into slavery. Amen, been God, even through all of
-
those situations.
-
Amen.
-
At the dopting back then, Amen, intervening for Joseph. And
-
here at the Dothan now in this present time with
-
elisha Amen, the God that was God there is gone now.
-
Amen of the God for Elishah the end, A doting Amen,
-
is God here in Bethel.
-
Amen.
-
It cares for each and every one of you on
-
a personal level. And man, he don't care for me
-
more than he cares for you. And man, he ain't
-
concerned about me more.
-
Than he is about you.
-
Amen.
-
He ain't worried. Amen. In that way, God don't really worry.
-
But you know what I'm saying, Amen, He's not gonna
-
do for me something he won't do for you. Ever,
-
that God interpet for Joseph Theater, and God will intervew
-
for you. Now, aymen, all you gotta do is have
-
the faith to see them. The prophet would tell the servant, Amen,
-
sar not for they that be with us, or more
-
than they that be with the other.
-
I know somebody that looks bleaker, and it looks like
-
they do hell and been many with them.
-
I'm not saying the odds don't stack up in such
-
a way that you wonder how can I do this.
-
I'm not discrediting your situation or saying they're recalled from concernta.
-
Hey men, the when you activate daughter in.
-
A situation, they been all overcoming author become overcarer. Amen,
-
I said, when all overcoming a amen in a situation.
-
Bet daughter, they will certainly overcome.
-
It.
-
Was.
-
Yeah, sometimes is hard, Amen, to just really put yourself
-
out there and believe, and then sometimes the devil really
-
beats you up about it. I mean, just putting yourself
-
out there and trust in God in the situation.
-
Amen.
-
But something Amen, that the Amen that I begin to
-
think on it, I mean we must never lose our
-
vision and our faith in the invisible. And then even today,
-
just in modern times, and then we enjoy the fruits
-
of someone's faith.
-
In what was yet to be seen.
-
This morning, we enjoy ac and someone visible and an inventor, Amen.
-
Saw what no one else could see.
-
I mean, we enjoy these light fixtures and light bulbs, Amen,
-
because someone Amen saw something no one.
-
Else could see.
-
And this morning, I may just be someone that's up
-
here a proponent for God saying, Amen, God's there. You
-
just need to be able to see you. If that's
-
all I am. I'm just encouraging you.
-
I mean, I know.
-
Sometimes the situation starts looking bleak, but if you could
-
just hold that God in the end, Amen, that that
-
is an invisible waymen will become evident to you. Praise God.
-
I remember I remember a time, and did I want
-
to tie this in Iman. I remember a time when
-
I was dating my wife, Amen. The only time I
-
think she ever surprised me. I mean we were I
-
was upstairs and my mom and dad had been twelve
-
hours away, and they drove all night.
-
I mean I did find that strange.
-
Back then, Amen, my dad would drive up drive quite often.
-
But I mean I remember coming down the stairs and
-
then one Sunday morning ready for church, Amen, and around
-
at the corner and someone that was supposed to be
-
twelve hours.
-
Away, they man now physically sat right there, and I
-
remember that it was it was a shocking feeling.
-
I don't get shocked very often, Amen, And I remember that,
-
and I.
-
Think they even have it on video somewhere.
-
Amen. In my might, my response was something something along
-
the lines of, oh, hey, there right, and this is.
-
What the Lord, this is what the Lord put in
-
my heart.
-
If I can be honest with you, Amen, I feel
-
like someone could see God become a reality in their
-
life if they just have the faith to believe. Aymen.
-
And hearing this situation, God is present, Amen. And the
-
Man of God sees something other individuals don't see. Here Amen.
-
He sees something the servant can't see, and he tells
-
him fear not, Amen. But there's gonna be a revelation Amen.
-
That gives him the courage Amen to stand. And the
-
Bible said in verse number seventeen, Elisha prayed and said, Lord,
-
I pray to he opened his eyes that he may see.
-
And the Lord open the eyes of the young man,
-
and he saw and behold the melting was full of
-
horses and cherots of fire around the bay elias, round
-
about him, not just the mountain, Amen, but around the
-
very man of God, around the servant. And then they
-
were in close proximity. And then they wasn't just off
-
in the distance. I know him, and sometimes it feels
-
like and then God's hard to get a hold of.
-
Amen.
-
But hearing this situation, Amen, they were around him, andymen,
-
the forces of God are prevalent. They been more a
-
man than those that opposed him. And then we find
-
here no doubt there was probably a horse and a
-
chariot Amen for every horse and aryan the enemy had,
-
even because God's never been out gone. And here in
-
this situation that the young man that had doubts and
-
questions sis assurance. Aymen, the those Amen, and the man
-
of God said that were with them, even though.
-
He couldn't see they man the prist God. Amen. It
-
doesn't change the fact you can't see it this morning.
-
It doesn't change the fact that's hard to believe that
-
this morning I'm here.
-
To tell you and that God is with us. God
-
is with you.
-
He's allowed to you he's suiting you up, he's protecting you.
-
Up, and he's watched over you. That's a father, dollars,
-
son and daughter and man. He's been with you the
-
whole time, your times of town. He was there, your
-
time to be there, he was there.
-
And then when it seemed impossible, God was still there.
-
God's we have been with you in the thick heather.
-
The man, I praise God, you can prevail Hellyluljah.
-
Often though they.
-
Meant the prevailing forces of God will only be revealed. Now.
-
I want to stress this this morning. Through prayer and man.
-
There there are very many Christians that a man they
-
just give up and they lay down and they quit
-
taking things to God in prayer. I mean there's some
-
people that have prayed for things for two in three
-
and four years, and in God's.
-
Perfect timing, the prayer was answered. Amen.
-
But if you fail in man to pray, Amen, God
-
may never reveal the answer.
-
Amen. For your struggles. The man of God here he
-
began to pray, and the eyes a man of open,
-
the eyes.
-
Of faith were opened, Amen, that had been shut by
-
doubt and circumstances. When I'm trying to close this morning, Amen,
-
I'm almost done a man, So y'all can y'all can
-
get me to hush you man, get to.
-
The chicken house. Amen. But I want to talk to
-
you about this morning. Old hey there. I know that's odd, Amen.
-
And it was. It was I had to get my
-
head and been wrapped around it.
-
Amen.
-
But what I want to encourage you this morning is
-
if you could just see, if you could just see,
-
that would be your response in your situation and then
-
you would be startled.
-
Wait. God is with me, God is, he is prevalent,
-
he is Amen. Present. The forces of God were in
-
close proximity. Amen. To those that belonged to God. Amen.
-
Here Amen, God surrounded those and brother Jesse, if you
-
would come on around, someone can get a song ready
-
this morning. I mean I'm trying to bear my burden
-
to you this morning. I mean I'm not trying to
-
be too long or too short of and I want
-
to get the context of this across.
-
Amen.
-
And my burden delivered here Amen, God, even it was
-
in close proximity.
-
Amen to those that believed on him. Amen.
-
There's a story man, you can find him in of
-
a Union soldier that escaped captivity and they said he
-
wandered all night long, through the cold and amen, through
-
the through the rain, the sleet, and he.
-
Was trying to make it back to Union Lives.
-
And just about daybreak, as he crouched along through the
-
snow and man wearing down, Amen, about to give up,
-
they said, he stumbled back upon Amen what he thought
-
the beginning his lies.
-
Amen. He was quickly.
-
Apprehended Amen, at gunpoint, and they drugging me. Amen, down
-
to the commander's tent. Amen, And all too soon they
-
said his eyes were open. Amen, he was starred and realized.
-
Amen. There was Amen, friends beside me, Amen, and here
-
this morning. I know that world can be cruel out there. Amen.
-
Friends and family can mistreat you. Amen. They can abuse
-
you verbally and amen, make you feel low and like
-
a dog, even I've seen Amen.
-
Amen, the world and the devil can make people do
-
some cruel things that they never intended to do. Amember
-
this morning, you're among friends, you're among family, you're among
-
those Amen to love God like you do.
-
Amen, And I would encourage you. Amen.
-
There's nothing wrong with stopping this morning and saying, Lord,
-
I know you're with me.
-
Amen, let me see it clearly.
-
I know you're with me.
-
Let me have faith to believe, as that union told
-
her that had struggled through a dark winter.
-
Now, Amen, he was wore out, and maybe.
-
Your war out of your drain. You seemingly have given
-
everything you could give. Amen to this occasion, and you're
-
crying the Lord, I need help. If you're asking for
-
help from God this morning, he will supply your needs
-
according to his riches and glory him his horses and chariots.
-
Amen. He'll supply the other. Amen. If it's fine answers,
-
I've seen God supply them. Amen.
-
If it's healing and health, I see God supply and Amen.
-
So in your situation, I don't know.
-
I just know God can move. Amen on your behalf.
-
Psalm's twenty two and twelve said even amen, Prince God.
-
But they said Prince God and talks about the bulls
-
of a sham be setting someone. Amen, strong forces against
-
them and opposing them.
-
God is there.
-
If you would stand this morning, we're gonna make it
-
after Amen. Let me read salmstrating you a man. Keep
-
in mind this this is the beloved king David. He
-
fled Amen from Absalom, his son who would salt to
-
supersede the throne and take control of it. And this
-
was the man of God's prayer, my while running from
-
his own flesh and blood, while his own son sought
-
to kill him. Amen, the beloved Salmist would write these words, Lord,
-
how are they increased that trouble me?
-
Many are they even rise up against me? Many there
-
will be?
-
Would say of my soul, there is no help for
-
him and God, friend of the devil's been telling you
-
that lie there is help for you, and man, there
-
is help for you and God against overcoming and overwhelming gods.
-
And he went on to say, but thou, old Lord,
-
art a shield for me my glory and the lifter
-
up of my head. And then in verse four, let
-
me stress this to you again. I cried unto the
-
Lord with my amen, with my voice. Aye, Amen, do
-
you have a voice. Only you can reach God in
-
your situation. Sometimes, I mean, I come into the Lord
-
with my voice, and he heard me out of his
-
holy heel.
-
And man, God's gonna hear somebody this morning. I believe that.
-
And man, if you want to come making an offer, y'all,
-
come on, aymen. I feel like the Lord Amen is
-
encouraging someone even to hold on and don't lose hope.
-
The Bible said, Hello, I am with you, always, always
-
is without.
-
End until the end. But friend, prayer is the key
-
to open the eyes of faith. Amen.
-
You won't, amen, please him when you're dwelling in a
-
current state of fear. The Bible said, it.
-
Is impossible to please God without faith. Amen.
-
So we can find our faith this morning and encouragement
-
knowing this.
-
Amen. But even though you can't see them, God has
-
forces around you, and forces that are we If you
-
on your side, they will fight on your behalf. Amen,
-
when you invote the name of God. Amen. So this morning,
-
could you invote the name of God Savior. Amen.
-
The one that is Amen, walk byside all Christians throughout
-
time and.
-
Never fell on one of them. Amen.
-
If he won't fail you, I wouldn't to God someone,
-
Amen's eyes would be open. And then if he wouldn't see,
-
and then just how here he is. Amen, Praise God.
-
Let's pray this morning. Y'all go ahead and see him.
-
And God is with you, man, and you will see
-
all too soon.
-
He meant he is right by yourself.
-
I believe, said, we ain't all.
-
I believe God. So if the world say what they will.
-
I would see you trust him it's worst. Let's see
-
what game came, and I know all about him.
-
Names in the middles, in wood danger. I would change
-
the game, would never change everything.
-
Some place the trusts about, some search for.
-
In the.
-
Simple faith in the only one you can change my God.
-
The name is words, I say the candy when I
-
call upon his name, let.
-
The words he woday.
-
I would choose a sad him.
-
The name.
-
Some place to trust in the west of in some
-
search the lie in the dog. But I could child,
-
I have come with simple faith.
-
If the only one could change my I believe it's
-
thirty is true.
-
I've seen what his name holy, that this works a groping.
-
I could choose to your name.
-
Some saying the slave is the only thing that bad.
-
Some saving the thing we doe. But I am convinced
-
that eternity waits. So with every bread, I would chase
-
by the name of thirties. I've seen word.
-
Okay you when I go upon his name.
-
I believe God. Let this see what they will I
-
would choose has never failed. I believe. Some say this
-
life here is the only thing that bad.
-
Some say, then with that.
-
That I am an advancing by turn. Today he waits
-
so the grim taste.
-
That I believe on the name his word is true.
-
I've seen what he can do when I know upon
-
his name.
-
I believe.
-
It's it that's words, and on the type of chairs
-
to say
-
What I name, it's words
