  1. Purpose.

  2. Amen, at y'all, thanks for being the presence of the

  3. Lord this morning. Sure, I'm thinking of what I've already

  4. felt this morning. I mean, I'm thankful we have a

  5. God that's mindful of us. Amen, will talk to us.

  6. Amen.

  7. The Bible tells us of us some people, Amen, multiple Amen,

  8. people throughout.

  9. The Bible and tire nations.

  10. Amen, would put their hope and trust in a God

  11. that couldn't even talk.

  12. To them in a graven image.

  13. You remember, we know this morning we've got a God

  14. that will speak to us.

  15. Amen.

  16. Even let me take a moment say, Amen, we just

  17. definitely miss our pastor this morning.

  18. Avan.

  19. Their absence has definitely felt Amen. I looked up a

  20. moment ago as well, and I realized I had a

  21. coworker here this morning. It's abashing great to have you

  22. this morning. Even that's a wonderful young man. A heart

  23. work room and if I've ever seen one, and we

  24. enjoyed working with Sebastian always, and man, they're to lend

  25. a hand and help us, and man, y'll help us

  26. this morning as we preach, and then we're gonna be

  27. over in second King's where the Lord led me this morning.

  28. Kind of for this morning's service. I'm second King's chapter

  29. number six.

  30. I'm gonna take a little bit of time this morning.

  31. I felt like I needed to to build a foundation

  32. before we get where we're going.

  33. So I hope y'all will help us. Amen, help us,

  34. and pray.

  35. Amen, prayer matters, Prayer shageous things A man. Prayer can

  36. turn an awful preacher like me even and to someone.

  37. At least you get something out of the message.

  38. Amen.

  39. All right, Segi King's chapter number six. We're gonna start

  40. around verse number eight here even eight nine, then what's

  41. kept down and read thirteen and fourteen. Then the king

  42. of Syria a ward against Israel, and took counsel with

  43. his servants, singing in such and such.

  44. A place shall be my camp. And the Man of

  45. God sent.

  46. Unto the King of Visuals, saying, beware that thou pass

  47. not such a place, for thither the Syrians are come down.

  48. And man now skipping down the verse number thirteen, and.

  49. He said, go and spy where he is, that I

  50. may send and fetch him. And it was told him saying,

  51. behold he is indowthed. Therefore sent he thither horses and

  52. chariots and great hosts.

  53. And they came by night and compassed the city. Amen.

  54. That'll be all our read And Amen, for now, if

  55. you would stretch your hands toward Heaven, ask God to

  56. help us.

  57. Lord. We thank you for your word.

  58. God.

  59. We believe your word is still relevant today.

  60. God.

  61. It still speaks to us.

  62. And talks to us and shows us God your heart, Lord,

  63. and speaks to us and encourages us.

  64. God, We thank you for your word.

  65. Lord.

  66. We asked that you would send a guard about in.

  67. My mouth, and letting me not say anything, you would

  68. not have to, thank God, Lord, but everything you would, Lord,

  69. I asked that you would.

  70. Touch some heart.

  71. Lord.

  72. That's why we're here this morning.

  73. Amen, the individual with bind strength and help and encouragement.

  74. God breathe on a coat bredth of God this.

  75. Morning, Lord, working in this service the Lord, Glory in

  76. your honor, we prayed, and man, and we'll give you

  77. the glory, the honor and the praise in Jesus' name.

  78. The man and the amen. All right now, just their starters.

  79. Things, places and things intrigued me and always have. And

  80. here we find the in our text we find the

  81. prophet Elisha, who we know was almost if you would,

  82. the prodigy of the great prophet, Elijah and Elisha. Here

  83. Elijah has done, died and went on the glory. And

  84. now Elisha carries the mantle.

  85. Of the Man of God. And what we have was

  86. we have the King.

  87. Of Syria here, as we said, saw in verse number eight.

  88. Here he is attacking, Amen, the children of Visual, the

  89. King of Syria. Amen. And what we when we read

  90. on down in verse number thirteen and fourteen, and we're

  91. going to kind of get through what we skipped over here, Amen,

  92. But here we see that the King of Israel is

  93. looking for the Man of God because the Man of

  94. God spoiled his plans. And me in verse number nine,

  95. we saw God, Amen told Elijah, Elisha and.

  96. Man where the King of Syria had set up his camp.

  97. And Man, and when you when you live, Amen, among

  98. or near a Man of God, there are times and man,

  99. the Man of God tells you things.

  100. You don't want to hear, that you.

  101. Wish he didn't know, He didn't he didn't have an

  102. awareness of. And then there's times and man, you just

  103. down the right thankful Amen, that he knew something he

  104. shouldn't have. And Elishah is such a man, a man

  105. that he knew something he shouldn't have known. And and

  106. in the end here the king of the King of

  107. Syria begins to think he has a rat if you would,

  108. in the in the middle of his camp when he

  109. sits down and he says, tell me, now, Amen, who's

  110. gonna who's signing with Israel? Who rapping me out? Who's

  111. telling my plans? Who told the King of Israel? Amen,

  112. I laid out a beautiful plan.

  113. I set up my tents here, and we were gonna

  114. ambush them. Amen.

  115. But he never came by Amen. The Bible said that

  116. the King of Israel saved himself there, not once or twice.

  117. Amen.

  118. So he saved himselves multiple times there. And so the

  119. King of Syria he had a good plan.

  120. Amen.

  121. He definitely had a good plan. He had laid it

  122. all out, and it would have worked.

  123. But for God.

  124. Now, I've seen the enemy Amen, in my life, but

  125. in many others life, and man laid a beautiful plan Amen,

  126. out to cause us grief and problems. And at the

  127. end of the day, Amen, we can stand and say Amen.

  128. If it hadn't been for God, Amen, I would have

  129. felt prayed of that Now.

  130. Just to give you a little context here, Amen, of Dothan.

  131. The Bible says Elisha was was dwelling here at doth

  132. and kind of amen his humble abode.

  133. Now Dothan means too wells Amen. It's roughly at.

  134. The sub it's about ten miles from some area where

  135. the we'll find. The King of Issue was set up

  136. later on the slopes there, or it was about a

  137. fifteen acre slope up.

  138. That they occupied.

  139. And then there was seemingly what you could call aim

  140. in a plateau, was about ten acres at the top. Amen,

  141. this this area of Dothan, this mountain, if you would

  142. rose about sixty meters high. Right now, they've already they

  143. have discovered what they believed to be Amen, ancient Dothan.

  144. I mean, I love that about the Bible. People love to.

  145. Try to discredit it, Amen, and then they find things

  146. out about it. Amen that there's no way Amen, two

  147. people Amen would have known and been able to write this.

  148. So I thank God for that. So they did find

  149. ancient Dothan. Now the sixty meters for some of you, Amen,

  150. that ain't very good with meters, that's about one hundred

  151. and ninety six feet Amen, So about one hundred and

  152. ninety six feet, which depending on how a house or

  153. a skyscraper is built, that could be between fifteen and

  154. nineteen stories tall. A man, that's a pretty good sized building.

  155. That's a pretty good sized mountain there that Elisha.

  156. Would have been living on, about the.

  157. Size of what was a famous building the eighteen hundreds

  158. known as the Insurance Building. If you need a mental

  159. image after the message, and I know this is a

  160. little different than I've ever done this, but this is

  161. how I felt led a man, So if you need

  162. a mental image, almost to the mountain of dothing and

  163. kind of Amen. How tall it was in the eighteen hundreds,

  164. about eighteen eighty five, they built a building called the

  165. Insurance Building. It's known as the father of the skyscraper.

  166. And man, it was ten stories tall, and then they

  167. added twelve they added two more stories to it. A man, totally,

  168. I believe it was somewhereund yeah, somewhere around one hundred

  169. and eighty feet and mean, it's a knock wise as

  170. tall as dough and Amen. But I need if I

  171. can get a mental image sometimes.

  172. That I can construct the picture. Amen.

  173. So in my mind's eye, I can see that building,

  174. and now I can kind of build a man in

  175. the Mountain of Doth in there.

  176. Amen.

  177. And Elisha was Amen, I guess he was a wealthy prophet.

  178. Then he lived on Scottscraper. Amen, any of all I

  179. could live in a Scott's Scraper.

  180. Amen. So let's get into the word of God.

  181. Here we begin here in our text looking looking at

  182. a piece of history. I mean, we believe the Word

  183. of God is fact. Amen, It's it's not It's not

  184. possible for God to lie. The Bible says, and what

  185. he has given to us is truth.

  186. Amen. Truth.

  187. From from the first page Amen, to the last page.

  188. You can find Amen, everything in there is truth, and

  189. you can fact check that a man and find out

  190. God is true a man and every man is a liar.

  191. So here and then we look at a piece of history,

  192. if you would preserved on these holy pages. Now, some

  193. of these people had to have names that we've already

  194. started learning about here, and some were just.

  195. Seemingly alone for the ride.

  196. Now, the king of Syria here, his name is Ben

  197. hey Dad, Amen, of the king of Israel at this time,

  198. and man, we know they had several kings with the

  199. King of Israel of Israel at this time is Jehoram,

  200. the son of none other than the notorious A Have Amen. Now,

  201. King Asa had kind of started a problem Amen, for

  202. Jehoram and for some of the kings of Israel when

  203. he and he had paid Amen back around first King

  204. chapter number fifteen, he pays the King of Assyria to

  205. come in and begin to invade the land of Israel.

  206. And no doubt we see here that the land of

  207. Israel is still dealing with the side effects Amen, of

  208. what their enemies called.

  209. And sometimes in life we feel like, Amen.

  210. We get stuck in Now, Amen, stuck we meant dealing

  211. with the side effects Amen, of situations others put us

  212. in a man, the adversary still here is at odds. Amen,

  213. with the people of God. At first number eight we

  214. see the King of Syria begins to devise a plan.

  215. Amen. He starts a war and then again with Israel. Amen.

  216. And he takes counsel, He gets his counsel together.

  217. Amen, He decides where he's gonna set up and man

  218. to kind of field his base. But the prophet living

  219. down in Novan, a man get some top secret intelligence

  220. from God, a man his sins words that jahor that

  221. he better and be careful where he's going him.

  222. In verse number nine we find that reference.

  223. And when God uses the Man of God, and then

  224. even in current Amen times and then we must be

  225. careful even to give earnest heed to that which God

  226. has warned us up. And then we find here a

  227. king him and the Man of God seriously when he spoke,

  228. and because of this he benefits Amen from the words

  229. of God Amen in his situation.

  230. And then God will talk to us all Amen. Sometimes

  231. they man.

  232. There are things that addressed the church, Amen, and then

  233. there are things that address us as individual. And then

  234. we must all have the good sense to know, Amen,

  235. that it's for our benefit. I mean, if we could

  236. trust God the way we should, and then we would

  237. know and give God the benefit of the doubt and

  238. know him.

  239. And God is working things for our good. Amen.

  240. So Amen, God, Amen has failed the king Jahrm out

  241. of a vast situation.

  242. And I've experienced this myself. Amen. To praise God when

  243. God fails me out. Amen. Hell.

  244. The Bible says, we have an adversary walking about, seeking.

  245. Whom he made his devour, a man.

  246. And brother Caleb singing about us being on a battlefield.

  247. And then sometimes it's not something we see him and

  248. it's just something that's there. We seem like life won't

  249. take a good turn for us, And then sometimes we

  250. feel like we're stuck in the same mundane thing and

  251. man and all of this can be a man and

  252. attack of the enemy. Amen. To give us a discontent

  253. and if there with God it isn't can there's great day.

  254. There's a bit of bit Amen to being content here. Amen.

  255. So what I'm trying to tell you this morning is Amen,

  256. I don't know what you're going through, Amen, but I

  257. know the devil will attack you all individually.

  258. Amen.

  259. He attacks me as a person. I'm not above the

  260. attack of the enemy. Mayben, he will attack you.

  261. Amen. A good way a good boy is to do it, Amen,

  262. in a way that you think it's someone else.

  263. They mean to do it in a way that you

  264. don't realize it's the enemy. Theymen to be called that

  265. you can't identify the threat. A lot of times if

  266. you will struggle, Amen, to languish. Shit, he am so here, Amen,

  267. versus eleven through fourteen theyven. Let's read them just real

  268. quiks that we don't miss this context here. Therefore the

  269. heart of the King of Syria was sore troubled for

  270. this thing. And he called his servants and said, under them,

  271. will you not shoot me? Which of us? And it

  272. is for the King of Israel. And one of his

  273. servants said, none of my lord, old King, but a

  274. life share the prophet that is in Israel. Tell them,

  275. the King of Israel, the words that thou speakest.

  276. In thy bedchamber.

  277. And he said, go and spy where he is, and

  278. I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, behold,

  279. he is indoped.

  280. And then get him down to where we've already read.

  281. Therefore he sent here, and then said he thither horses

  282. and cherriots and the great hosts.

  283. And they came by night and compassed the city of Bath.

  284. Amen. So the enemy's plan here is to leave no escape.

  285. They mean to leave him in no way out for the.

  286. Man of God. The trapping me up. And then we

  287. see the motive.

  288. Amen is dead or alive, just to seize the child

  289. of God and remove Amen his freedom.

  290. They then remove his voice. Amen. For God and man

  291. can use a man of God to use a woman

  292. with a voice. Amen.

  293. Someone is willing to speak of and say aye, Amen,

  294. praise God, hurt it from the Lord. The devil has

  295. never liked they've been someone with a prayer life. The

  296. devil has never liked someone when they've been a good

  297. Bible reading program. And then the devil will attack a

  298. man as the old saying, he is the weakest, sleep with.

  299. The devil also will attack those in the strongest. And

  300. then the Bible said to begin, they meant get the shepherd.

  301. The sheep will scatter.

  302. Amen. So here Amen, we see Amen that that here. Amen,

  303. the king of Syria is a target. Amen.

  304. That which is caused they'men the nation of Israel to it.

  305. It's the odds prevailed.

  306. They and so he here, and then he see him,

  307. and he compasses him the mouth.

  308. Amen.

  309. He surrounds him, but gets seemingly trapped. Amen, where it

  310. feels he has no escape. Now, I don't know where

  311. you're all out this morning. All I can tell you, amen,

  312. is what the men tapped me up.

  313. They mean to walk this morning.

  314. They been praying and studying and tigging man to get

  315. the mind of God. Amen. And there are many things

  316. in this life that will make us feel trapped. And

  317. then it calls us to begin to feel a sense

  318. of despair.

  319. Amen.

  320. The great somis we all know the beloved King David

  321. and man he gave us a look into a little

  322. bit more of this, and he sat in songs one,

  323. O nine and first number three, and that they can

  324. pass me about also with words of hatred.

  325. Amen. So here, Amen, it's not just it's some guy,

  326. just not.

  327. Just in the physical we feel surrounded and trapped, and

  328. then we feel as though we're hatched in, and then

  329. we don't know how it can get better. We don't

  330. know how we can get around it. We don't know

  331. how we can get over it. We just feel like

  332. we're trapped. They been living the same old life they

  333. met a David said, they can bassed me about it.

  334. They surrounded me with hateful words.

  335. They man a.

  336. True true Amen, the words Amen of a friend they

  337. met willing quick, they mad a greedious wound and the

  338. dingom I mean the king they met of Israel at

  339. that time. David would say, Amana, I experienced painful words.

  340. I experienced things Amen, that made me feel surround it,

  341. that made me feel trapped. Put. The good news is

  342. they been for the child of God. We're telling her

  343. long and told.

  344. We feeling that overwhelmed, though we feel seemingly to be

  345. over Tarba. They've been talking the loy be with us.

  346. We always walk beside us. We don't never reader or

  347. forsake us. The Bible say, man even go with us.

  348. Oh way at Taven would experienced things like this, and

  349. we will see a liar Sinnana.

  350. They been go through things too.

  351. They confessed me about also with words of hatred. But

  352. they didn't stop there, they said, and fought against me

  353. without a cause. Then maybe this morning you don't know

  354. where the struggle your red has come from. And man,

  355. you just know you've been bombarded. And then I help

  356. us Lord, Amen, I know, amen, this is a little different.

  357. And then but all I can do is preach what

  358. God has given me for you. And then there are

  359. times we feel as though we are a mean handstand

  360. on every side, and then by those that seek our demisemen.

  361. But I just come to encourage you this morning that

  362. God is with us. And when it gets overwhelmed in God,

  363. the more meeting was recently.

  364. Amen, God will be with us. Amen.

  365. Now let's read verse number fifteen and kind of see

  366. the reaction here, Amen of the servant of Elisha, the

  367. Man of God. He said, And when the servant of

  368. the Man of God was risen up and then risen

  369. early and going forth, behold and hosts can pass the city.

  370. And then both with horses and arias. And his servant

  371. said unto him, Alast, my master, how shall we do?

  372. And man, how shall we do? And then we see

  373. the distraught which overtakes the servant.

  374. Here.

  375. Amen, he's up early and amen, to start his workday.

  376. And men, some of us start pretty early.

  377. Amen.

  378. And then we get to work pretty early, and then

  379. sometimes before daybreak. And then and here the servant of

  380. the Man of God, he's rising up early. He goes

  381. out maybe years the amen, the jingling of the horses bridle,

  382. or here's amen, something one amen, playing.

  383. With their sword. And when he says that's amen, that's

  384. that's something I'm not used to. Amen, That's a sound

  385. I'm not familiar with. Amen. So Amen.

  386. Sometimes they been true to true to that, Amen, true

  387. to that train of thought. Sometimes is that which, Amen,

  388. we least expect or when we least expect it, they

  389. could slip under our guards so easily.

  390. Amen. Yes, we've been through life some of us, Amen, Amen,

  391. older than others.

  392. Amen, I still consider myself a whipper snapper Amen, a

  393. young man.

  394. Amen.

  395. But as we age, we begin and then to the

  396. villa Amen of resistance to things, And then we begin

  397. to know more people. We say, well, I know that person,

  398. Amen will say something hurtful.

  399. If I let him in.

  400. He remember, Sometimes just that person we didn't expect.

  401. They've been that easily slides under.

  402. The guard and so amen quickly wounds us and leaves

  403. us hurting.

  404. Here.

  405. So the servant arises to do a man his dately Amen,

  406. task him in probably the routine task. Amen, and suddenly

  407. he's beset by something he wasn't expecting.

  408. Amen.

  409. And that that is what we've experienced through our lives.

  410. They bet the devil knows how to catch us off guard.

  411. And man, he knows how to use things against us.

  412. They meant that when we would have never anticipated or

  413. expect you and been of the servant of Amen, and

  414. the man of God here, Amen, he's oh off guard.

  415. And man, I don't really know the Amen, the servant here,

  416. I mean, we don't get much detail about him.

  417. We don't know how he lives.

  418. But all we can see is his response, Amen, in

  419. many times us, oh High and mighty, even people. And

  420. then we loved to fault these kind of characters, and saying, man,

  421. look how he responded. All he felt of fear, and

  422. then he fell all he ran to the Man of

  423. God said, what are we gonna do?

  424. Amen?

  425. But if we were to be a realist this morning,

  426. I wonder, amen, and to put ourselves on that in

  427. those shoes, if we And then again, this is history preserved.

  428. This happened.

  429. And then sometimes we get the packed from the word

  430. of God and we read it like a book. But

  431. this happened, and been in the servant of God really

  432. awoke that morning while the dude was probably still on

  433. the ground. Amen, And he looked out the window and

  434. opened the door and realized he was in a bad fix.

  435. And man, he was surrounded. He was in trouble. There

  436. was no way out, and there was no way around it.

  437. And then so we're a realist this morning, and say

  438. he knew and then that they were after them, but

  439. he stayed with a lie shame, and I can admire them.

  440. Then, ayven, the man of God here is.

  441. He's not trouble. But the servity man is taken with

  442. a little bit of fear. I believe, Amen, and you

  443. see him Man. His response to this, Amen, is to

  444. go to the Man of God. That is a great response.

  445. And then in times of trouble and testing, may man,

  446. that's a great response when you begin to feel like

  447. the devil is coming against.

  448. You, and ben the dove. They been to the proper source.

  449. And then many people run the things they meant to

  450. just drown their sorrows for a time. They run the

  451. things the man that doesn't give them peace of mind

  452. when they awake in the morning, theymember there is a

  453. God against the odds can.

  454. Give you a say good to you and give you

  455. peace of mind. Will overcome that we just come against you.

  456. I know I look back.

  457. For the Servant, and I don't know how bad it

  458. looks for you this morning.

  459. God.

  460. Maybe it's family problems, maybe it's bill trouble.

  461. I really don't know.

  462. But I just come to tell you you have a

  463. friend that's stipping closer, that a brother. He is walking

  464. beside you, Amen, and he will be with you now.

  465. The Servant he stands.

  466. Here with Elisha and Man, even though he lacked the

  467. faith to believe in an overcoming God for him, I man,

  468. And I've seen people, I mean they've seen the workings

  469. of God, especially hear at Bethel. They see the working

  470. of God and man, and how he moved from brother

  471. Philip in the cancer situation and the doctor still can't understand,

  472. and then how the miraculous work took place.

  473. And it's easy a man for me to stand.

  474. Over here and then see a young man with a

  475. head full of hero and believe in an overcoming God

  476. for him. But then when I find myself in a fix, Amen,

  477. it's easy for that doubt of the road cap tad

  478. about this morning and then to settle in and begin

  479. to try to strangle my faith. And then this morning,

  480. if there's one thing I can encourage you, and then

  481. you must believe in an overcoming God for you.

  482. He is an individual.

  483. God, And the Bible said he's not a respector of persons.

  484. What he done for brother Philip, he would do for me.

  485. They may if I have the same response. And man,

  486. he's not a respector of persons, Amen, But he's a

  487. respector of the response.

  488. And you must know.

  489. How, amen, you act, how to respond to God if

  490. you expect to get him to move on your behalf Amen.

  491. So maybe amen, you're asking this morning. Amen, as the

  492. servant did, how shall we do?

  493. Amen? House, that we.

  494. Pay those bills and those pending expenses, and then how shall.

  495. We fare or make out or come through this? Amen?

  496. This seemingly was the cry of the servant. He said,

  497. how shall we do?

  498. Mayben? He saw the odds, he.

  499. Saw what he was up agaists, and then in from

  500. the show he said, how shall we do? And then

  501. there's nothing wrong with the child of God. They've been

  502. falling on their knees and said, Lord, how am I

  503. gonna do this? So? How am I gonna make it

  504. through this? Be an honest and gada and letting you.

  505. Know you need his help. And man, it's just like

  506. a child.

  507. Coming to their father a time of me and saying,

  508. I need some assistance.

  509. God never expected you to go on along. God never

  510. expecting you.

  511. To do it by yourself. That's why he gave you

  512. a promise. He do me with you, because they do

  513. that color cod need him. And that's why I said

  514. I'll be there Alla when they do that.

  515. Be a time, and that you.

  516. Needed him on your side, O God, first number sixty.

  517. I know we're just walking through this kind of slowly

  518. this morning, the Bible said, And he answered that Elijah's

  519. speaking of the servant. After that servant has asked, how

  520. shall we do? He said, and he answered, fear not were.

  521. They that be with us, or more than they? And

  522. en that be with them.

  523. Now, if you note the word structure here is There

  524. is other phrasings in the Bible that says for us

  525. and men. But here he is saying with us, man,

  526. I love that.

  527. And then because God is with us, God is with us.

  528. He walks beside you. And what you see here is

  529. a glimpse of the omnipresent God.

  530. Amen. The goverment is on your side and by your side. Amen.

  531. When he said and.

  532. He would go with you even been with us, he

  533. meant just that he would go with us.

  534. Amen.

  535. There has never been a situation or in need that

  536. has scared God away. Let me say that again. There

  537. has never been a situation, Amen, in all the time

  538. or in need that is scared God away. We never

  539. find ourselves in a fix, amen, or our shady alley.

  540. So to speaking, a situation and man that our best

  541. friend has turned around and said, well, that one's kind

  542. of yours. I'm not going that way.

  543. I mean, I've seen some people, a man, they kind

  544. of get sketched out, if you would, and then they

  545. use the modern language somebody you may understand and.

  546. Something may not.

  547. And then they get sketched down. They start feeling the man,

  548. I don't I don't know, I don't like this situation,

  549. and they'll leave somebody with it. Amen, Jesus has never

  550. left somebody. Amen, in the midst of their trial.

  551. He has never left him.

  552. They went in the midst of despair, he has never

  553. left him in the missed the moment.

  554. He's never left them in the midst of bond Witchell.

  555. And then when they call him a god, he was

  556. a god that was present time. He was a god

  557. that was available for every individual. Amen.

  558. He is a faithful command companion.

  559. And when God is working in all kinds of ways

  560. throughout the Bible.

  561. And then we read of how I mean he simply

  562. used the singers to discombit an army a man. We've

  563. heard about how David had.

  564. To lie in wait, Amen, a weight on the sound

  565. of a golden in the tops of the mulberry trees.

  566. And then we know of how one individual would blow

  567. on a trumpet and shatter some pots and men him.

  568. The army would flee.

  569. And then there's other times and then God would just intervene, Amen,

  570. and they would come upon a camp Amen, and they

  571. were just they were gone, I mean, nobody was around

  572. a man of this would happen even later on in

  573. this chapter. If you keep on reading and have a

  574. hankering too, you can buy. But God done just that

  575. for them. And then, so I'm not telling you I

  576. know how.

  577. God's gonna move in your situation. I'm not saying I

  578. know how He's gonna work it out for you. I'm

  579. just telling you he is able to work it out

  580. for you. Amen. He will not let you down or

  581. fail you. That Praise God.

  582. There there's a sister here that says our grandmother. I

  583. believe it was something like this, that God will do

  584. to trust. And then God will do to trust you

  585. can trust him. So here the Bible tells us Amen, Amen,

  586. about what's going on. And the Bible tells us in

  587. another place, and then that the Bible that God camps

  588. around his children.

  589. Amen, and Praise God.

  590. A situation has never separated a saint from the savior.

  591. And then we know of people that have been up

  592. against it.

  593. Amen.

  594. And genusis we find him and Joseph looking for his brethren,

  595. and someone Amen points them him in a familiar direction

  596. to our texas for it, and they tell him.

  597. Amen, they went towards Dothan. Amen. Many believed this is

  598. the same Dothan. Amen. And Joseph found.

  599. Himself in a sticky situation. His brothers wasn't too fond

  600. of him a man, and they threw him down in

  601. a pit a man, and then they end up selling

  602. him into slavery. Amen, been God, even through all of

  603. those situations.

  604. Amen.

  605. At the dopting back then, Amen, intervening for Joseph. And

  606. here at the Dothan now in this present time with

  607. elisha Amen, the God that was God there is gone now.

  608. Amen of the God for Elishah the end, A doting Amen,

  609. is God here in Bethel.

  610. Amen.

  611. It cares for each and every one of you on

  612. a personal level. And man, he don't care for me

  613. more than he cares for you. And man, he ain't

  614. concerned about me more.

  615. Than he is about you.

  616. Amen.

  617. He ain't worried. Amen. In that way, God don't really worry.

  618. But you know what I'm saying, Amen, He's not gonna

  619. do for me something he won't do for you. Ever,

  620. that God interpet for Joseph Theater, and God will intervew

  621. for you. Now, aymen, all you gotta do is have

  622. the faith to see them. The prophet would tell the servant, Amen,

  623. sar not for they that be with us, or more

  624. than they that be with the other.

  625. I know somebody that looks bleaker, and it looks like

  626. they do hell and been many with them.

  627. I'm not saying the odds don't stack up in such

  628. a way that you wonder how can I do this.

  629. I'm not discrediting your situation or saying they're recalled from concernta.

  630. Hey men, the when you activate daughter in.

  631. A situation, they been all overcoming author become overcarer. Amen,

  632. I said, when all overcoming a amen in a situation.

  633. Bet daughter, they will certainly overcome.

  634. It.

  635. Was.

  636. Yeah, sometimes is hard, Amen, to just really put yourself

  637. out there and believe, and then sometimes the devil really

  638. beats you up about it. I mean, just putting yourself

  639. out there and trust in God in the situation.

  640. Amen.

  641. But something Amen, that the Amen that I begin to

  642. think on it, I mean we must never lose our

  643. vision and our faith in the invisible. And then even today,

  644. just in modern times, and then we enjoy the fruits

  645. of someone's faith.

  646. In what was yet to be seen.

  647. This morning, we enjoy ac and someone visible and an inventor, Amen.

  648. Saw what no one else could see.

  649. I mean, we enjoy these light fixtures and light bulbs, Amen,

  650. because someone Amen saw something no one.

  651. Else could see.

  652. And this morning, I may just be someone that's up

  653. here a proponent for God saying, Amen, God's there. You

  654. just need to be able to see you. If that's

  655. all I am. I'm just encouraging you.

  656. I mean, I know.

  657. Sometimes the situation starts looking bleak, but if you could

  658. just hold that God in the end, Amen, that that

  659. is an invisible waymen will become evident to you. Praise God.

  660. I remember I remember a time, and did I want

  661. to tie this in Iman. I remember a time when

  662. I was dating my wife, Amen. The only time I

  663. think she ever surprised me. I mean we were I

  664. was upstairs and my mom and dad had been twelve

  665. hours away, and they drove all night.

  666. I mean I did find that strange.

  667. Back then, Amen, my dad would drive up drive quite often.

  668. But I mean I remember coming down the stairs and

  669. then one Sunday morning ready for church, Amen, and around

  670. at the corner and someone that was supposed to be

  671. twelve hours.

  672. Away, they man now physically sat right there, and I

  673. remember that it was it was a shocking feeling.

  674. I don't get shocked very often, Amen, And I remember that,

  675. and I.

  676. Think they even have it on video somewhere.

  677. Amen. In my might, my response was something something along

  678. the lines of, oh, hey, there right, and this is.

  679. What the Lord, this is what the Lord put in

  680. my heart.

  681. If I can be honest with you, Amen, I feel

  682. like someone could see God become a reality in their

  683. life if they just have the faith to believe. Aymen.

  684. And hearing this situation, God is present, Amen. And the

  685. Man of God sees something other individuals don't see. Here Amen.

  686. He sees something the servant can't see, and he tells

  687. him fear not, Amen. But there's gonna be a revelation Amen.

  688. That gives him the courage Amen to stand. And the

  689. Bible said in verse number seventeen, Elisha prayed and said, Lord,

  690. I pray to he opened his eyes that he may see.

  691. And the Lord open the eyes of the young man,

  692. and he saw and behold the melting was full of

  693. horses and cherots of fire around the bay elias, round

  694. about him, not just the mountain, Amen, but around the

  695. very man of God, around the servant. And then they

  696. were in close proximity. And then they wasn't just off

  697. in the distance. I know him, and sometimes it feels

  698. like and then God's hard to get a hold of.

  699. Amen.

  700. But hearing this situation, Amen, they were around him, andymen,

  701. the forces of God are prevalent. They been more a

  702. man than those that opposed him. And then we find

  703. here no doubt there was probably a horse and a

  704. chariot Amen for every horse and aryan the enemy had,

  705. even because God's never been out gone. And here in

  706. this situation that the young man that had doubts and

  707. questions sis assurance. Aymen, the those Amen, and the man

  708. of God said that were with them, even though.

  709. He couldn't see they man the prist God. Amen. It

  710. doesn't change the fact you can't see it this morning.

  711. It doesn't change the fact that's hard to believe that

  712. this morning I'm here.

  713. To tell you and that God is with us. God

  714. is with you.

  715. He's allowed to you he's suiting you up, he's protecting you.

  716. Up, and he's watched over you. That's a father, dollars,

  717. son and daughter and man. He's been with you the

  718. whole time, your times of town. He was there, your

  719. time to be there, he was there.

  720. And then when it seemed impossible, God was still there.

  721. God's we have been with you in the thick heather.

  722. The man, I praise God, you can prevail Hellyluljah.

  723. Often though they.

  724. Meant the prevailing forces of God will only be revealed. Now.

  725. I want to stress this this morning. Through prayer and man.

  726. There there are very many Christians that a man they

  727. just give up and they lay down and they quit

  728. taking things to God in prayer. I mean there's some

  729. people that have prayed for things for two in three

  730. and four years, and in God's.

  731. Perfect timing, the prayer was answered. Amen.

  732. But if you fail in man to pray, Amen, God

  733. may never reveal the answer.

  734. Amen. For your struggles. The man of God here he

  735. began to pray, and the eyes a man of open,

  736. the eyes.

  737. Of faith were opened, Amen, that had been shut by

  738. doubt and circumstances. When I'm trying to close this morning, Amen,

  739. I'm almost done a man, So y'all can y'all can

  740. get me to hush you man, get to.

  741. The chicken house. Amen. But I want to talk to

  742. you about this morning. Old hey there. I know that's odd, Amen.

  743. And it was. It was I had to get my

  744. head and been wrapped around it.

  745. Amen.

  746. But what I want to encourage you this morning is

  747. if you could just see, if you could just see,

  748. that would be your response in your situation and then

  749. you would be startled.

  750. Wait. God is with me, God is, he is prevalent,

  751. he is Amen. Present. The forces of God were in

  752. close proximity. Amen. To those that belonged to God. Amen.

  753. Here Amen, God surrounded those and brother Jesse, if you

  754. would come on around, someone can get a song ready

  755. this morning. I mean I'm trying to bear my burden

  756. to you this morning. I mean I'm not trying to

  757. be too long or too short of and I want

  758. to get the context of this across.

  759. Amen.

  760. And my burden delivered here Amen, God, even it was

  761. in close proximity.

  762. Amen to those that believed on him. Amen.

  763. There's a story man, you can find him in of

  764. a Union soldier that escaped captivity and they said he

  765. wandered all night long, through the cold and amen, through

  766. the through the rain, the sleet, and he.

  767. Was trying to make it back to Union Lives.

  768. And just about daybreak, as he crouched along through the

  769. snow and man wearing down, Amen, about to give up,

  770. they said, he stumbled back upon Amen what he thought

  771. the beginning his lies.

  772. Amen. He was quickly.

  773. Apprehended Amen, at gunpoint, and they drugging me. Amen, down

  774. to the commander's tent. Amen, And all too soon they

  775. said his eyes were open. Amen, he was starred and realized.

  776. Amen. There was Amen, friends beside me, Amen, and here

  777. this morning. I know that world can be cruel out there. Amen.

  778. Friends and family can mistreat you. Amen. They can abuse

  779. you verbally and amen, make you feel low and like

  780. a dog, even I've seen Amen.

  781. Amen, the world and the devil can make people do

  782. some cruel things that they never intended to do. Amember

  783. this morning, you're among friends, you're among family, you're among

  784. those Amen to love God like you do.

  785. Amen, And I would encourage you. Amen.

  786. There's nothing wrong with stopping this morning and saying, Lord,

  787. I know you're with me.

  788. Amen, let me see it clearly.

  789. I know you're with me.

  790. Let me have faith to believe, as that union told

  791. her that had struggled through a dark winter.

  792. Now, Amen, he was wore out, and maybe.

  793. Your war out of your drain. You seemingly have given

  794. everything you could give. Amen to this occasion, and you're

  795. crying the Lord, I need help. If you're asking for

  796. help from God this morning, he will supply your needs

  797. according to his riches and glory him his horses and chariots.

  798. Amen. He'll supply the other. Amen. If it's fine answers,

  799. I've seen God supply them. Amen.

  800. If it's healing and health, I see God supply and Amen.

  801. So in your situation, I don't know.

  802. I just know God can move. Amen on your behalf.

  803. Psalm's twenty two and twelve said even amen, Prince God.

  804. But they said Prince God and talks about the bulls

  805. of a sham be setting someone. Amen, strong forces against

  806. them and opposing them.

  807. God is there.

  808. If you would stand this morning, we're gonna make it

  809. after Amen. Let me read salmstrating you a man. Keep

  810. in mind this this is the beloved king David. He

  811. fled Amen from Absalom, his son who would salt to

  812. supersede the throne and take control of it. And this

  813. was the man of God's prayer, my while running from

  814. his own flesh and blood, while his own son sought

  815. to kill him. Amen, the beloved Salmist would write these words, Lord,

  816. how are they increased that trouble me?

  817. Many are they even rise up against me? Many there

  818. will be?

  819. Would say of my soul, there is no help for

  820. him and God, friend of the devil's been telling you

  821. that lie there is help for you, and man, there

  822. is help for you and God against overcoming and overwhelming gods.

  823. And he went on to say, but thou, old Lord,

  824. art a shield for me my glory and the lifter

  825. up of my head. And then in verse four, let

  826. me stress this to you again. I cried unto the

  827. Lord with my amen, with my voice. Aye, Amen, do

  828. you have a voice. Only you can reach God in

  829. your situation. Sometimes, I mean, I come into the Lord

  830. with my voice, and he heard me out of his

  831. holy heel.

  832. And man, God's gonna hear somebody this morning. I believe that.

  833. And man, if you want to come making an offer, y'all,

  834. come on, aymen. I feel like the Lord Amen is

  835. encouraging someone even to hold on and don't lose hope.

  836. The Bible said, Hello, I am with you, always, always

  837. is without.

  838. End until the end. But friend, prayer is the key

  839. to open the eyes of faith. Amen.

  840. You won't, amen, please him when you're dwelling in a

  841. current state of fear. The Bible said, it.

  842. Is impossible to please God without faith. Amen.

  843. So we can find our faith this morning and encouragement

  844. knowing this.

  845. Amen. But even though you can't see them, God has

  846. forces around you, and forces that are we If you

  847. on your side, they will fight on your behalf. Amen,

  848. when you invote the name of God. Amen. So this morning,

  849. could you invote the name of God Savior. Amen.

  850. The one that is Amen, walk byside all Christians throughout

  851. time and.

  852. Never fell on one of them. Amen.

  853. If he won't fail you, I wouldn't to God someone,

  854. Amen's eyes would be open. And then if he wouldn't see,

  855. and then just how here he is. Amen, Praise God.

  856. Let's pray this morning. Y'all go ahead and see him.

  857. And God is with you, man, and you will see

  858. all too soon.

  859. He meant he is right by yourself.

  860. I believe, said, we ain't all.

  861. I believe God. So if the world say what they will.

  862. I would see you trust him it's worst. Let's see

  863. what game came, and I know all about him.
