May I direct your attention to the fifth chapter.
-
We will be reading the verses number fourteen through sixteen.
-
Brother nathaner Luke, Chapter number twenty four and verse number
-
thirty two. Brother Jesse's Psalm Chapter number eighteen and verse
-
number twenty eight.
-
It is good to have all of our visitors here
-
this morning. I know who you are. I appreciate you
-
being here. And there's several of you're probably too many
-
to name, but thank you.
-
Brother Nathaniel Luke, Chapter number twenty four and verse number
-
thirty two. My brother, and they said, one to another,
-
getting on our hearts burn within us while he talked
-
with us by the way, and while he opened to
-
us the script, how many has ever had holy heartburn?
-
If you haven't experienced that, you can experience it today,
-
Brother Jesse, Psalm, chapter number eighteen and verse number twenty eight. Please, sir,
-
where thou will light my candle the Lord, my God,
-
we'll enlighten my darkness. Praise the Lord, Thank God for that.
-
Let's stand for the reading of our text, shall we?
-
Matthew Chapter number five, reading verses number fourteen through sixteen.
-
The Bible says you are the light of the world.
-
Look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, do you
-
know you, sir?
-
Human are the light of the world.
-
Jesus said, these words are written in red printh. He
-
are the light of the world. A city that is
-
set on a heel cannot be hid.
-
Neither do men light a candle and put.
-
It under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it
-
giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let
-
your light so shine before men, that they may see
-
your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.
-
May we pray, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the
-
opportunity to be in your house.
-
Lord.
-
I thank you that the saints and sinners have gathered
-
today in so many places throughout this world. I pray
-
that you would meet with your people as they worship
-
and pray in your house wherever they be. What you
-
meet with us right now? Lord, bless this thy people.
-
Set a guard at their ears, and help them to
-
hear what the Spirit of God says under the church today.
-
Lord, not of my words. I pray that they would
-
hear your words.
-
Let the sayings, Lord, of this blessed book go below
-
the shoulders. Let them saturate the soul and the spirit God.
-
We don't want them to go in one ear and
-
out to other world and thrill around in the mind
-
and be forgotten. Lord, let them get a hold of
-
this that you've said to us today. I pray that
-
you would annoyt this, thy servants, set a guard at
-
my mouth, and help me to say the things that
-
you would have me to say, nothing more or less. Lord,
-
I pray that we would be hearers, and that we
-
would also heed, and may to partner this placed joyfully
-
and not sorrowfully, in Jesus' name of the Church, said Amen,
-
Praise the Lord. Our text has found in a New
-
Testament book of the Holy Bible, Saint Matthew's Gospel. The
-
title of this book bears the name of its author.
-
Matthew is a very interesting character. When Matthew met the
-
Messiah Jesus Christ, his life was forever changed following that
-
divine encounter and appointment. I would have believed that Matthew,
-
who was formerly a taxed to lector that became a
-
disciple of the Lord's Savior Jesus Christ, would have, without hesitation,
-
told people that a spiritual metamorphosis took place in his
-
life that instant, the moment that he met the Messiah.
-
Because he had a willing mind and he was willing
-
to submit his will to.
-
The hand of the Father Divine, that spiritual metamorphosis took
-
place in Matthew's heart, and so this despised, treacherous tax
-
collector became an author of the first of four Gospels.
-
Think about that radical transformation when I think about Jonathan
-
Edwards and the radical transformation that took place in his life,
-
and lets me know and reassures me that God can
-
do it in the heart, in.
-
The mind of anyone.
-
And I'm so thankful that our Ore is not a
-
respector of person. By his selection of men whom he
-
chose to be his disciples. It's so evident that God
-
is not a respector of persons. As I look out
-
upon about eighty people this morning, I realize.
-
That God is mindful of us.
-
You need personalities, various talents, skill sets, and abilities. But nevertheless,
-
the Lord is the maker of us all and our
-
souls belong to him. And truly He has a great
-
love towards each and every one of us, whether a
-
prince or a pauper. The Lord is concerned about your soul.
-
As I was praying and seeking the Lord, and of
-
course I had a lot on my mind because of
-
this past weekend's wedding ceremony and celebration. I begin to
-
hear from the Lord concerning this morning's service, and I
-
feel like I'm preaching a message at the Holy Ghost
-
title sent me a fire lord.
-
How many of you would.
-
Raise your hands right now and show me that it's
-
your desire that the Lord would send your soul afire. Again,
-
I'm preaching a message the Holy Ghost Title sent my
-
soul a fire lord. There is no doubt that this
-
tax collector his soul was set on fire by the Messiah.
-
In fact, the Bible said he left the high backed chair,
-
if you would, and walked out of the tax collector's office,
-
never to return again. A radical transformation, and I believe
-
God wants to do that right here in this building
-
this morning. And I want you to think about the
-
radical transformation that took place in the life of brother
-
Jonathan Edwards over the last twelve months.
-
I'd like to dedicate this message to him this morning.
-
Hopefully he's able to hear it.
-
But Matthew was certainly a very intelligent person. He was
-
also a very interesting character. When I think of Matthew
-
brother Nathaniel, I think of someone that had to go
-
to work with his chin on his chest, someone that
-
was ashamed of the betrayal that he had committed against
-
his brethren. Somebody also that wasn't comfortable concerning his position
-
within the Roman Empire.
-
This man would have been a judas of swords.
-
I believe, brother Philip, that he was torn between two.
-
I believe he was troubled in his mind, just like
-
some people in this building this morning, or trouble, and
-
I believe he is a Hebrew and found that his
-
heart had grown cold.
-
Brother Jesse, When I think.
-
Of the spiritual dampening that has taken place in this
-
world today, I am amazed.
-
Know one that we have the word of God, Know.
-
One that we had these sixty six love letters of
-
the Divine Library.
-
And somehow there is still this eerie dampening and darkening
-
going on in the world.
-
In fact, in the Bible you will find that the
-
Bible said the love of many shall grow cold. Why
-
is the love of so many wax and cold? It
-
is because of sin. But the Bible also said, where
-
sin doth amount grace did much more impound, and so
-
Brother Nathaniel.
-
Nevertheless, we see that it is happening.
-
There is a dimming of the light, there's a dampening
-
of the cold of the fire. And I believe here
-
this morning that God wants to take three to five
-
of us and set us a flame.
-
I'm telling you, you are combustible.
-
Your explosive of the power of God is going to
-
be like a spark to a power keg here in
-
a minute, and it's going to just set you a fire.
-
And a flame. And praise the Lord for that.
-
Just because the love of so many are growing cold,
-
I don't have to be numbered among those that.
-
Have chosen to be so fullness.
-
Just because five of the ten virgins have decided not
-
to do things that are necessary in order to keep
-
their fire burning, They're not gonna keep me from joining
-
the party.
-
They're not gonna keep me from having that encounter with
-
the bridegroom.
-
And so I want to see to it that it
-
doesn't happen to me, that it doesn't happen to my wife,
-
and that it doesn't happen to you all. Again, it happened,
-
It is happening, and it will happen again, but it
-
does not have to happen to us.
-
You do not have to stay cold. I've heard it
-
said in church for years, you may grow old, but
-
you should not grow cold. Why have I heard that
-
for half a century.
-
I've been in Pentecostal and holding his churches for half
-
a century, right at fifty years, brother Jesse, And I've
-
heard preachers, pastors, evangelist teachers, ministers, missionaries admonished the church,
-
exhort to the church, admonishing the church, telling them don't
-
grow old and cold.
-
I've seen them exhort the church saying, hey, keep putting
-
cold to the fire.
-
He put the word of God to your soul. Keep
-
that fire burning. But for some reason, people are growing cold.
-
Jesus said that this spiritual condition would come about because.
-
Of lawlessness and increase.
-
Lawlessness is in the land, and without the Holy Ghost,
-
people's love for Jesus and the things of the Lord
-
will become cold, and they.
-
Will grow colder and colder and colder.
-
Brother Nathaniel, I shudder and tremble at the top of
-
me ever, waxing cold in my spirit. This is no
-
time to turn around. There's no time for you turns.
-
No time to backslide, no time to grow cold on God.
-
It is time to put cold to the fire.
-
I'm preaching to somebody right here this morning. You see
-
our golden texts in the fifth chapter of Saint Matthew's
-
Good News Writing, and the Bible reader knows that this
-
is the beginning of the Savior's sermon on the Mountain.
-
Now get the imagery with me. The Lord has become
-
wildly popular at this point. The size of the crowd
-
was massive, just as the Law of God was given
-
to the Israelites on the mountain by the hand of Moses.
-
Now in this moment, Jesus is delivering the sermon on
-
a mountain, and people are gathered together listening to the
-
teacher of all teachers teach in his instruction. He begins
-
to let them know about the purpose of the letter
-
of the Law, and it was given to God's people,
-
the Israelites, and God had used a mouthpiece named Moses
-
to deliver such a law. But now, brother Nathaniel, we
-
find Jesus exposing the spirit.
-
Behind the letter of the law.
-
If you will, Jesus is speaking to dampening and darkening souls.
-
That had the word of God, but have grown staged
-
and drawn cold.
-
And now Jesus has given them some cold to the power,
-
and he's.
-
Showing an exposion the spirit of the law.
-
He many of you appreciate the word of God. I
-
thank God for the words that are in black. I
-
thank God for the words that.
-
Are in red. This whole book, the sixty six books of.
-
The Divine Library, are the words of God, brother Nathaniel.
-
But Jesus was the Word.
-
And Jesus begins to reveal and expose his heart to
-
the people and let him.
-
Know the spirit of the Law. The problem with a
-
lot of church people.
-
Is this, they have a form of Godliness, but they
-
deny the power thereof. They overlook the necessity of having
-
the Holy Ghost. In fact, Jesus's adamant instruction to his
-
fathers was be filled with the spirit. He also instructed
-
them to teary in an upper room until they were
-
filled with.
-
Power that would come from on high.
-
In other words, Jesus was saying, Hey, the Father is
-
not done working in the lives and the hearts of men,
-
women and boys and girls.
-
There's more to.
-
Come, and the best is yet to come. And I
-
still believe that to be true. Today, the mindset and
-
the mentality of so many saints and believers today is this.
-
It's the great falling away.
-
Listen, friend, the time of the great falling away again.
-
In the days of Paul, in the days of.
-
Peter, Paul's heart was broken because of the desertion of
-
a disciple named Demus. Just because Demus chooses to walk
-
away from the things of God doesn't mean Bonnabus is
-
gonna do it. Telling you the spirit of God is
-
what makes the difference. And may God put some cold
-
in somebody's spiritual hurt, this for him and sexious soul.
-
Ablaze of fire for his glory. I feel it in
-
my toes, I feel it in on top of my head.
-
I feel teenly all over. No, I do not rely
-
upon my feelings or emotions.
-
But I do know that what I have going on
-
inside is real, and I know it's causing the exterior
-
and even.
-
The lives of my body to feel something.
-
How many of you can say I know that fire
-
brings warmth, and I know that I feel on fire.
-
There's people in this building that can say I watched
-
at the moment, Brother Jonathan Edward, stop being dead spiritually,
-
and you could tell there was something underneath the surface.
-
If you want something in side of the power, Brother
-
gabral Wave had me back there which you walk up
-
towards the front.
-
I remember the night that he received the Holy ghost.
-
I could tell there was something different about this prodigal
-
son that had been out in the world for eighteen
-
something years.
-
He had come home and looking for the truth.
-
And he said the church that he went to, they
-
were not teaching it like they used to. They were
-
not holding to the teachings as they used to. There again,
-
the reason for that dampening and that darkening of that
-
spiritual people was because.
-
Somebody forgotten to put cold in the hurt. I'm telling you,
-
he said, I left.
-
There and began a search for truth, and in his
-
quest for truth, he happened to come by this way.
-
There's no good that we'd done.
-
There's nothing in this world that we've done that caused it.
-
Surely somebody down the road had prayed for him.
-
But you know what, God has entrusted him in our hands.
-
And I remember that night. Some years later, I guess
-
-
Helt right there at the edge of that platform, and
-
I could tell.
-
That he meant business. And God said, draw nine a Gabriel, Jeremy.
-
God doesn't call me brother, hey man, draw nine a
-
Gabriel Jeremy. And we got to praying, and I remember saying, God,
-
if you had just said, what cold from that holy
-
altar and put it in Gabriel's soul, what cold for
-
the soul will change this man forever and praised me
-
to Jesus. That is exactly what has happened. It is
-
also what is happening on a continual basis. So Jesus
-
as he's ministry to these people, he's saying, you're missing it.
-
It is good that you got the letter of the law,
-
but your attitude and you outlook on a change.
-
I love to hear crickets preach right here or praise
-
the law. And so at this.
-
Time, the spirit of the law is being given to
-
those who are gathered.
-
It's being given to.
-
Them by the word, the mouth piece of the Triune Godhead.
-
Right now, Jesus was standing in front of them, and
-
Brother Nathaniel at that very moment truth.
-
Was being spoken.
-
The Bible student and reader has noticed that this sermon
-
begins with blessings of how many of you know, the
-
blessings of the Lord make us rich, and they add
-
no sorrow to it.
-
If somebody has been blessed of.
-
The Lord, truly blessed of the Lord, they will not
-
have a sorrowful spirit, they will not have a dampened
-
and a darkened spirit, because the blessings.
-
Of the God of Heaven maketh this rich.
-
And how many of you can say I'm enjoying the
-
blessings of the Lord. Well, this sermon on the mouth
-
begins with blessings, and I'm not sure why anyone would
-
ignore the teachings of Jesus, especially not the words of
-
the pronouncement of blessings.
-
I've got to.
-
Thumbing through this, sister Howl, and God put it on
-
my heart and I said, man, that's what I gotta
-
do to be blessed.
-
That's what I gotta do to be blessed. That's all
-
I gotta do to be blessed. And Brother Nathaniel, I've
-
found this chapter.
-
To be chalked full of information and instruction on how
-
to be blessed if you want to have fire in
-
your soul.
-
Serving God has never been a problem for.
-
Me as long as I'm on fire inside. But let brother,
-
how will get a little dampen and darkened in there,
-
and suddenly serving God might become a drudgery, It.
-
Might become a difficulty.
-
But as long as there is fire in the soul,
-
praise God. I wonder if somebody in this building is
-
desiring for a cold from that holy altar to be
-
planted in that bosom today which to raise your hands
-
and praise the Lord. And so this sermon on the
-
mountain is chockful of information and instruction, Brother Nathaniel. These
-
are words that these people can live by, and they
-
would experience true joy regardless of their external circumstances, if
-
they would hold to and adhere to the teachings of Jesus.
-
These words are called to be attitudes for a reason,
-
because people's attitudes have to change sometimes in order.
-
For them to be blessed.
-
And how many of you know that if you keep
-
the teachings of the Lord, you can be happy, chortok,
-
and blessed on a daily basis.
-
Even if your only daughter got married, you.
-
Can still have a joy in your heart and feel
-
like preaching.
-
The next morning.
-
You say, it's clear to see that our Lord Jesus
-
was attempting to light a fire in the heart of
-
those legalis to oh, yes, stand perfected the letter of
-
the law.
-
But he understood that the modern church must have sire,
-
and if we're going to live, you must have fire.
-
And say the son.
-
God the singer on a mountain, and he turned it
-
into a mountain a fire. This is not not sound
-
like that a same time of place that Moses was
-
at a mountain of fire. It is important for you,
-
as disciples to understand that this just this Jesus was
-
beckoning her knew him to troll nither listen and understand
-
that I want somebody to look at your neighbor and
-
say these words, Ay, neighbor, has your soul been set afire?
-
If they said no, let them know they can be.
-
Would you tell them all you can be? Your soul
-
can be sent whole pire. This should be.
-
Out this hour in prayer today. It is power for
-
the Christians light to shine. Now we teach how to
-
the children there who are members of the booster Man.
-
In the primary class of these lyrics of the Little
-
Childhood Song, it goes like.
-
This, this little light of mine, I'm.
-
Gonna let it shine. Can I ask you a question.
-
Is your fire raging? Now?
-
He is your fire blazing? Now?
-
He is your light shining now? If not, why not today?
-
Why don't re thread some fuel to the fire. You
-
see a Christian they're gonna stand now, They're gonna stand
-
before God.
-
Eventually. They must burn it now or they real burn later.
-
A Christian must have power, burn this side of their sword.
-
The friends.
-
If the flame mis flickering, let me ask us why.
-
I to my experienced times when the flame was flickering.
-
Now that, thank God, I can admit it, the fire
-
has never gone out.
-
Why are the flames diminished?
-
Why are the flames not leaping there as high as
-
the ruts dea? Why are the tongues of pire not
-
stretching men that's.
-
High to heaven? Has the ruts dead? I don't go
-
mutch y'all, But Yesterday's came to live here wedding with
-
special because the fire was there.
-
The photographer she told somebody at the venue, somebody that
-
was not a member of this church, of somebody that
-
had not attended the ceremony, in fact, that the master
-
of the venue. And I heard her telling her these words, Honey,
-
you should have been there.
-
It was beautiful.
-
Then she said why she needed it to be beautiful.
-
She said it was candle lit. Brother jes said, I
-
knew what I would be preaching over there, and right do,
-
I said, God, you are nipped my candor.
-
Wi.
-
I prod you a to a community, not a councer
-
who will.
-
Be dressed up when it's nipped, not a pile of
-
Oh God, who Jesus saying that to his followers, You, sir,
-
the knock o the world.
-
That being underneath the pail is the pier, I said,
-
he underneath the flamer, he is the fire. So many
-
churches today and I'm not to judge, and I'm praying
-
for them.
-
I'm praying for an outbreaking revival in every in every
-
little country church including initial. I'm saying, God, what just
-
set me on fire? Because the power get on fire.
-
Just the hell get on fire. This is the hell
-
gets on fire. Our six children will catch fire.
-
The old black preacher used to sing a song, I
-
wish somebody soul would catch on fire, catch on fire.
-
Then he went a little further and said, and burn
-
with the hole ghost him. When the Son of God
-
was preaching throughout the regions of Galileeed he asked the
-
question about John. In essence, he was saying, what made
-
us message different than that of fire percun What made
-
us message different.
-
Than that of the priests? His daddy was a priest.
-
What made the message different than that of the preacher?
-
Then they're into Jerusalem. Why did you go to the wilderness?
-
Why did you go to that voice?
-
Because all's tease, A said, now he mustn't burning iding.
-
The I'm telling us a mon's and Danta, I'll tell
-
you that meta se mail.
-
They're trying, and that one's a little tire who don't
-
need to see you to the never none of us up.
-
They would make a community that touch and a content
-
if we us a the pentrels, what touch fire?
-
Set my soula power? Lord, which somebody to raise your
-
hand right now? I say, Lord, we're a set my
-
soul a power. Not so much to it bad?
-
You see, friends, we must all admit that sometimes we
-
get cumbered with things, and we get held up, and
-
we get hanged up, hung up on some of the
-
silliest things that really don't matter, that we overlook the
-
things that matter. And while we do that, Eli, the
-
lamp of God is going out creatures. We're supposed to
-
be tenders of the oil. We're supposed to be tenures
-
of the fuel bed, if you would the cold bed.
-
We're supposed to be the one that comes in like ministers,
-
a flame of power.
-
The Bible said, when John, who was not a.
-
Revelator, heard from the revelator and wrote what the revelator.
-
Said, he said to the angel, to the Angel of
-
the seven churches, right these things. You know who he
-
was speaking to.
-
He was speaking to ministers, and they were liking unto
-
candlesticks in a candelabra, and they were threatened that they
-
could have their candle put out.
-
If you have your candle put out, you will no
-
longer have heat, You'll no longer have wanted, You'll no
-
longer have a flame, You'll no longer have pire.
-
Asked a mess man yesterday before I left out of
-
this building, I said, evidentity, you must have.
-
Took a while to knock that many candles. He said
-
it did. Then I said, who's gonna put them out?
-
It's gonna take it just as long. I said. I'd
-
hate to be the person that was putting my mouth
-
down there and trying to blow him out. I believe brother.
-
Jesse said, we've got some sort of apparatus that we're
-
gonna spray them out.
-
Now, listen, I don't care who or hell that who
-
is putting your fire out. And sometimes you've.
-
Gotta grab the spray bottle out of the hand of
-
that one that's putting your fire out, whether it's a
-
dramatic spouse, whether it's a dramatic preacher, whether whether.
-
Or not it's a trouble of mantic child.
-
You've got to put it out and replace them in
-
your hand after you discard, let's spray.
-
Bottle with a millows. But you have many of you know,
-
a bellow, you can flat out to put the heat.
-
I'm in the wind to the fire and increase the heat.
-
No, all less everything room.
-
They go stir because if I'm on there, I'm gonna
-
lose it. Not you, He's all me.
-
Can We're gonna stuff because if you know I'm gonna
-
lose my church, I'm gonna lose it my community. What
-
Joss was tall, these people lives. Remember, you're gonna.
-
Lie in the world. And the fact that he's saying
-
the lie, it's stoking. They must be fire.
-
They didn't have the movements that we had today. They
-
didn't have the looms that we have right here and
-
destilling there.
-
They had to have oil where they had some sort
-
of the pill.
-
Fill for the fire.
-
Well, ever since there's I've lost for fire, ever since
-
this was happening my fire, Ever since I stumbled, I
-
lost my fire.
-
Get back up.
-
One of them five wise birds and his babies stumbled
-
as she was going out the door.
-
I'm telling you what, Brother Jesse. She had some in
-
the reserves.
-
The Bible said that they don't only oil in their limps,
-
but they had some oil in reserve.
-
And you know, Brother Nathaniel, there was other people coming
-
and asking for their fire. They were asking for their oil.
-
I'm okay, we're praying with Brother Jonathan Edwards, and brother
-
gave avel and ten and giving them some of what
-
God's got. That's what Peter and John told the line
-
man that was laying at the gates, called beautiful.
-
They set silver and gold.
-
Have I none, but such as I have, give I thee.
-
What they're saying is, remember, Jesus told us to go
-
with one suit. Jesus told us to not worry about it.
-
Where we're gonna large or where we're gonna stay.
-
You know, we're not in this for the money. Too
-
many preachers are in it for the money rather.
-
Than having empty pocket. So they've got to your pockets.
-
And that's why the problematic for the people of power.
-
It's because they need a pension, they need a parsons,
-
and they need a patient. The paint preacher will always
-
lead to relative.
-
Let the power go out? Ain't that right? E? Lie
-
with your surns. Take it a cogeneration.
-
Preachers have learned that the power just happened, So they
-
just happened, So we'll take it prevented that on your
-
watchy line.
-
Somehow the knots have been there, somehow the fire has
-
turned eye. Oh God, here ahead with the us.
-
Is that you stuff to the old power?
-
No, you look put for the power. Ho time, we're
-
all let you know chard the badness may have had
-
her freakings.
-
Look us and honey is popular.
-
They suck their soul so much horror, I said something
-
in a soul, so much great eye. Sometimes people tend
-
to deny their experience and the encounter, but they can't
-
do nothing with the evidence. They look at gabral and
-
they look at Jonathan and they say, I'm not so
-
sure about the method and the.
-
Barbless, I'm not so sure about the administration. I'm unsure
-
about the encounter and the experience. But what they we're
-
gonna do? Who the ever did so?
-
Who?
-
Somebody's trong by the fire of God. There's nothing you
-
can dude, who's out of that?
-
I feel the holy ghost that must thank God for
-
that night, he charmed Charity. Oh my God, sister, would
-
sister House always been a precious jewel. I got rather
-
sim with the God. She didn't know anything about holiness.
-
You like her?
-
Brother Shame Shane's hurt wind. He's a little bit younger
-
than her, but he looks just like her. He told
-
me yesterday, he said, you know her.
-
He said. Some of them were.
-
Talking when y'all headed down there about what are we
-
gonna do? They left family, he said, I said, this
-
is a mission God has sent him on. He said,
-
I understand.
-
And Sister, how he probably didn't tell you this, he said,
-
I live with it in the back of my mind.
-
What could have been if Jeremy and Charity had a
-
state in our area in Lakeland?
-
What could have been? He said? But I know what
-
Jesus commanded Jeremy and Charity to do is what matters.
-
And I thought, man, I need to hand you a
-
microphone right now, and let you tell others that old
-
man Jesus is all the matters, just the how when
-
he's hand after all, I don't want to be foolish
-
about it, he said, I've got an eternity.
-
To enjoy, my big sister and my big brother in law.
-
Whole sleep. Now, my God, I say, let it be
-
sold Jesus.
-
I don't want to join hand in hand spiritue with
-
a black preacher, and said, I wish.
-
Somebody's soul would catch on fire and burn with the
-
whole chose health. Thank God that God.
-
Chard Charley, you see a Christian desperately needs the fire
-
to burn in their soul. I don't know who's got
-
it blazing this morning, and I don't know who who
-
has it flickered.
-
I will tell you this, Your fire ain't going out.
-
I just know you need some spiritual gasoline hurls your way.
-
If it's somebody that belongs to.
-
Bethel, or a visitor or a guest, it doesn't matter.
-
To me who it is.
-
If it's one of these little kids, only you know
-
what's going on in that soul.
-
You say, well, I feel like a kid at Christmas,
-
a kid that's been bad.
-
I don't believe in Santa Claus. We don't promote Santa Claus.
-
But they say that Santa Claus will bring a bad
-
child some coal.
-
Brother.
-
The thing are you probably have a cold mine in
-
your backyard, don't.
-
Our kid? Them were great kids, great kids, but they
-
say to Santa will bring them a bag of coal
-
instead of a gift.
-
Now, there's some people that felt like they've been dealt
-
some cold. Right, you feel like you've just got a
-
bag of cold. Well, pitt, if you could look in
-
my soul, you see cold in my soul? Well what
-
you need? It's the spirit of Elijah when he went
-
there with those that had come him their soul too.
-
At Mount Carmel had to road down on the showdown.
-
I'm telling you who you're right there.
-
After that showdown, Elijah stood as one man knowing as the.
-
Prophet of fire. Why was he the puppet of pore.
-
Because he could call it down from heaven. They're gonna
-
cause he had it to in a soul. Listen the
-
same man, then I could call fire.
-
Down there out of heaven in their nagh of the
-
Lord can also call down that rain in.
-
The neighbor an in heaven, the hair fire that a
-
remstone preacher a to also be able to.
-
Summon's dollar and kill a shallow if not that.
-
Brist people, somebody get the bird, somebody get a has
-
somebody starting the fire the lie. I just said, stuck
-
it right. Boys, they tried. Then the fire did not fall.
-
But just stuck it right. Do it right, sight to.
-
Fight right, live right, and the fire will fall. I
-
need to come to a close right here. I don't
-
want to hold it too long. He wants to set
-
your soul a fire in this very surface.
-
Now look at verse number seventeen, the verse just beyond
-
our golden texts. You will notice that the Lord wasn't
-
trying to discard the law as though it was a
-
piece of trash.
-
No, he was trying to put the fire inside of them.
-
They needed the spirit of the law, the passion of it,
-
the purpose of it, and the plan for it. The
-
faith of these people felt them. The flame in their
-
soul was, brother Caleb.
-
But you turn that light off and on their flame
-
was flickering.
-
Is there anything more agitating during a storm than to
-
see your lights start flickering?
-
What about Jesus when he said, you're the light of
-
the world.
-
And he looks down, keep on flickering, Brother Calord, and
-
he sat down there in label Florida, or over there
-
in Dominika or over there in Ukraine.
-
He said, it's flickering. That is not the will of God.
-
If I'm over there at seven twenty one north Bridge
-
Street working tomorrow, and he looks down from heaven with
-
that bird's eye view, and he looks into my office
-
and it's flickering. And but then he took notice of that.
-
Turning on Mother Caleb, he said, well, you know over
-
there a Cappas's place over there where the priest star
-
over there where Annas is, He said, it's flickering.
-
Wait a minute, it just went out. But out there
-
in the willariness there is a burthen and a chide
-
and the light. Oh, come on, young people, you do
-
not have to succumb to Peter tester, sir.
-
And now if your family does not understand you lid
-
in life, then we'll understand later.
-
My mother in walk came to me for the second
-
time into in.
-
Twenty years she came to me, I think a year ago,
-
a brother Philip's sister Elizabeth Wayting, and she came to
-
me after brother Jonathan his sister Hand's wedding, and she said, Jeremy,
-
we didn't really understand it at the time, why you
-
had to go on a mission and go to La Belle,
-
Florida and put that distance between all of us. But
-
she said, I know now, I understand now. And she said,
-
I've never felt more holy ghost in a place as
-
I do right there. A nothing had come on this
-
worth the sacrifice, this worth the sactification had.
-
I want to tell somebody, you keep doing well. You
-
don't propary then what I'm doing that you keep living it.
-
Yes up, you keep your maiders, take the power. Yes up,
-
pillow power. And I say it, and then I'm knowing
-
out of that twenty years later.
-
Who you did?
-
Watching did what? Somebody said something I saul power God, Yes,
-
kind of listen here.
-
For some reason, they're pore was going out. There's a
-
dampening in the darkning taking place. We must first admit
-
that there's a coldness.
-
It's scary. You've heard people say before. He was a
-
cold hearted murderer. Well, what happened. He got bitter, it
-
got better, and when they get better, they betrayed. And
-
Jesus knows all too well of the bitter morsel of betrayal.
-
Judas came in and betrayed him with a kiss. Jesus
-
knows all too well feelings of being forsaken, but he
-
did it anyway.
-
Jesus knows all too well of asking a hard question, Father,
-
where are you? Why have you forsaken me? And the
-
lights went out, And I want you to know he
-
went through intombement. A lot of people forget about the burial.
-
That is one of the most significant things about the
-
Passion week is the burial. They talk about the crucifixion
-
and the resurrection. We need to remember the execution. We
-
need to remember the method. We need to remember the death,
-
how he did not cry out with hatred. We need
-
to remember the spirit of Joseph as he had a
-
spirit of forgiveness. I'll tell you what, I'll put you
-
a fire out unforgiveness. I've been hurt.
-
I need to be healed.
-
Well.
-
I want you to know this.
-
Nothing in the work like somebody going to hell and
-
taking the Kisa to death held and the grave. You
-
do realize that the devil, it's not the one holding
-
the Kisa to hell. You do realize Jesus took them
-
over two thousand years ago.
-
You know who's holding the Kisa to death, hell and
-
the grave. Jesus. I see us, and I want you
-
didn't know it to be death to.
-
The old feelings, death to that old man, death to
-
that oldness high. If you just gift the fire right
-
it's in in there, you will find that the power
-
of the holding gusta enough to provide heeding now in
-
place of hopelessness, and healing in place of heart. And
-
look fourteen and thirty two. These two people that I
-
believe that the scripture makes clear. If your search the scriptures, you'll.
-
Find it a husband and a wife.
-
Husband's name is Plepus. He Old Moody said the same thing.
-
I ran across one of his writings, and he said,
-
it's evident by scripture. You study the Gospels, it's a
-
husband and a wife. I had come to that conclusion
-
early on in my ministry. I had to do as
-
a studied trying to figure out who are these two
-
people walking? They're spiritual people. They had went with high
-
hopes and dreams and anticipation. You young preachers, listen to
-
me how I'm gonna preach, how I'm gonna do something
-
for God. Hey, sometimes people hurts your feelings. You went
-
up to preach your father la room. You know all
-
too well about this.
-
You stuttered and stammered and stumbled over yourself.
-
Listen, every time I come to this pool pit, I
-
stood over there today and said, God, you.
-
And I both know why I cannot do this without you.
-
At the Holy Ghost does not preach through me, there
-
will be no preaching at all.
-
But a young person.
-
Somebody could say something that hurts your feelings. Then you
-
find yourself wrestling and show them with bitterness.
-
The wife may have fussed and you may have fault.
-
I'm telling you how people gonna get damp and inside,
-
and how people get darkned inside and get disappointed, and before.
-
You know it, by the Philip, they've grown cold him
-
the soul.
-
I'm telling somebody, this man and woman had walked from Jerusalem.
-
And they're going home. I'm gonna go home. I'm gonna
-
forget about the ministry. I'm gonna forget about this sof Hey,
-
they had to have been terribly disheartened and broken hearted.
-
Because Jesus said he always appeared to the severe cases.
-
He always took up the heart cases. This lets me
-
know they were teeter.
-
Tottering old disaster because of the words of They were
-
sticking from cold hearts. They were contemplating doing the untakable.
-
They are unamassable.
-
Lea thought, then it was he, Lea thought, Then he
-
come out of the grave.
-
And Jesus came looking for them, and he attached himself
-
to them.
-
And walked along away. And whenever he walk with him,
-
what did he talk about?
-
That?
-
He talked about the.
-
Word of God, the Bible, saying that wre in talk
-
with him that heart forgive my b.
-
I tell you, your preacher, if that I got time
-
in your soula they will feel you. I said, if
-
you Fielder, Hey, we'll feel you. Come my brother, Jess said.
-
It was about a month ago. He said, Dad, I
-
just want you to know I appreciate you and your preaching.
-
Here's what he said.
-
He said, I can feel it. He said, you know what,
-
when you're preaching, I can tell you believe what's your preaching, preacher, Do.
-
You believe it? Have you experienced it enough to believe it. Hope.
-
Come on now, I said, the process here. You don't
-
talk about your what so you show me.
-
All my time.
-
And that's what the lodes. When you're saying it's time
-
that we have a show, I had to show down.
-
It's time.
-
Well, all that stuff that's same without the fire, I'll
-
touched the dog.
-
Without the fire will be home the magnetism of the fire.
-
Right, loot a little fire, an air print. Child in
-
the perimeter will be transit. Lot of little fire, lot
-
of six inch fire.
-
My brother Nathaniel's little tiny girls will be walking on
-
the fire, no kidding, A lot of big bonfire and
-
there will be more people gathered around it.
-
Oh, sweet Jesus, I need to get you to the
-
chicken house. Jonathan's stay out of my henhouse. Boy, let's
-
che us stay on the thief look twenty four and
-
thirty two, and Jay said, once or another, did not
-
our heart burn within us? Oh?
-
Yes, something can go on on the inside. It's working
-
on the inside. There's something going on in the inside,
-
and it's showing nothing on the outside. Did not a
-
heart burn within us?
-
While he talked with us by the way and while
-
he opened unto us the scriptures.
-
Well, preaching's boring. It doesn't have to be. Preaching's dawn,
-
it's death, it's darkened. It doesn't have to be. That's
-
the purpose of the Holy Ghost.
-
Evidently something not incrimentally radically changing this couple's hearts.
-
Clipp Us and his wife were no longer heartbroken. They
-
have heartburn. God, Jesus, I'm telling you, you could take
-
this home to you Brod. You can take this home
-
to your brother Christian. You take this home to your
-
brother Dylan. God can do it right here this morning.
-
And the Bible said. And as they returned home, they
-
were full of sorber.
-
And you know what, just to how anyone passed them
-
could tell they were full of sorrow. And Jesus noticed
-
their sorrow. At some point, Jesus the Fire himself came by, and.
-
He began to warm their hearts.
-
He made himself known to them. He showed them in
-
Jack their hy Messiah suffered and died. It was to
-
warm the hearts and the souls of humanity. It's not
-
God's will that you dry up and die. It's not
-
God's will that you lay in the sandy duns and
-
wither up and dry. It is God's will that you
-
catch fire.
-
And once they got to their house, they invited Jesus
-
to come inside.
-
Wolf sweep them of god invitation and the reception it
-
was working recifrocation, the rest of prosity.
-
Come on in, Jesus. I need some more that. And
-
you know what, brother Nathaniel, they got some more that.
-
The very thing that they need they received and saw
-
chapter number eighteen, verse number twenty eight.
-
The Bible said, for that will light my candle, the Lord,
-
my God, will enlighten my darkness.
-
Just this quick sometimes incrementally, yes, but most of the
-
time pro radically.
-
For that will light my candle.
-
Somebody said they didn't know how to use that new
-
fangled new age firestarter as to how we got up
-
there after I had showed many people how to do it,
-
and she said, I don't know how to work this thing,
-
and I wish for to her. Well, I'm not fixing
-
the teacher right here in front of one hundred and
-
ten people, I.
-
Said, figuring it out. Don't make it obvious, just figuring out,
-
you know what, We have already figured out what we
-
got to do. We know what we got to do.
-
And God can make every one of us firestarters, and
-
God can make every one of us fire planners. That's
-
what the apostles and their wives and their children did
-
when they walked out of the other room. They took
-
it home with them. This is possible because this fire
-
can be transplanted. Evidently the Psalmist had felt heavy in
-
his heart, just as Cleophus and his wife had, and
-
that's why David said, they'll hastle up my candle. I
-
want to ask somebody question, as we're standing this morning,
-
Ask your neighbor, do you feel heavy?
-
I wanted to ask you that question, but you're closer
-
to them than I am. Brother Broquet asked somebody that
-
question again, do you feel heavy?
-
Some would answer like this, My heart feels cold, it
-
feels dark and damp. I know what it is to
-
be excited about church, to be excited about the Word
-
of God, excited about the Lord. But I'm here to
-
tell you this morning, the Lord is going to lighte
-
you up. Jesse, when you cover the pian, the Lord
-
is going to light you up. Ask Brother Jonathan Edwards
-
how quickly it happened, Brother Danny, when fire falls out
-
of heaven. It doesn't take long to reach the recipient
-
as long as you are the intended recipient.
-
You are the invited recipient, you say God intentionally, I state,
-
I desire that the invitation's already there, It's already presented.
-
Well preachure.
-
I know what it is to get excited to fill
-
the fire or God's fixing the light you up.
-
Let's bow our heads right here. Could we do that? Please?
-
He knows how you've been hurt. He knows you need
-
help because I felt it over the last couple of days.
-
He knows you're hurting. You've got valid reasons and concerns
-
for that. But I want you to forget about it.
-
Let the fire heal it. You spent countless hours, even
-
years burning emotionally to the place now that is you
-
physically your stist.
-
God wants to make your list. The flame has been flickering.
-
Oh yes, I want to say it once more. It's
-
going to be like a spark to a power.
-
Keg.
-
God's about to light you up.
-
If there's somebody just building that would like to pray,
-
saint or sinner, child of God, sanctified saint or sinner,
-
I want to open these altars right now, seasoned saint
-
that has to hold a ghost. And you want more,
-
salted saint, you say, I've been salted with fire.
-
You want them, just come on a ring. I am
-
going to ask the Lord once more. Set me ablaze, Lord,
-
set me a fire. Sing it my brothers.
-
Fo times to put.
-
You're trying to put that look me and I fee
-
feel the fire inside inside.
-
And I know my soul it said, it's fine. Set
-
it's the fame hass with the bar so powerle go,
-
it's never going please never go.
-
You'll see me nest, try so me time to leave
-
me the.
-
O with me, and I feel the bar inside. I know,
-
my soley it's fine. The fame hash for the bar
-
has ever go. I remember.
-
The day we.
-
I say, you say, come to need my child, and
-
I make you so to say to him, and he
-
forgave me my sin. He studied over so by lay
-
down my soul.
-
Well it's never going, never go.
-
Out, you'll say, has try so me time may.
-
Be die, but be off the biside and so side
-
by the blame as the line as.
-
Give you says the lorry kindled the thing of flame.
-
All things are different. No I'm not the same.
-
He started a fire so direct we turned a flame.
-
Yes, in my soul the.
-
Piece there is joy like the diversities, I think, my god,
-
the by burney.
-
Will it step go down.
-
There go now, lu Sicks, show me time to the queen.
-
Fine inside you my sole inside, it's fine playing figs
-
well stepping go out.
-
He's there the goal, you sick cat.
-
Try many times to make me time.
-
To win.
-
By time, I know my soul sat have lived longer.
-
I remember. I remember the day when I heard Musty say,
-
you see come to me.
-
Time and I make.
-
So left the snake him You see more game me,
-
I said him. He started out down in my school.
-
He's never gone, he's never gone.
-
Go say next. Try show me times she made me down.
-
We beside an sol side side the base left
