May I direct your attention to Versus number twenty three
-
and twenty four, Brother Jesse, Psalm chapter number one nineteen
-
and verse number one twelve. Brother Nathaniel, Exodus chapter number
-
thirty three and verse number eleven. Again, man, direct your
-
attention to our golden text that God has put in
-
my heart. If you were to ask.
-
Me this morning, preacher, what brought that scripture to your heart?
-
What brought forth such a confirmation from Brother Jesse and
-
Sister irish Lynn Wooden, I'll tell you God did in
-
the middle of the night. For anybody that doubts that
-
you're fixing to be amazed, Brother Jesse, Psalm chapter number
-
one nineteen and verse number one twelve.
-
Please, I have.
-
Inclined to my heart to perform thy statutes away, even
-
unto the end. Did y'all notice that I have inclined
-
by hard reading Again, Brother Jesse, I have inclined find
-
heart to perform our statutes always, even unto the end.
-
Sounds to me like the Holy Ghost has connected some
-
dots this morning, Sister him and and he's been working
-
since the early morning hours, and he's speaking to speak
-
to somebody among this seventy and perhaps somebody that's tuned in.
-
But when we preach, remember this church, we're not preaching
-
to those that are tuned in. We're preaching to those
-
that are within these four walls. I've heard it must
-
be to those whom are sitting in the fusions, Brother Nathaniel. Exodus,
-
chapter number thirty three and verse number eleven, And the
-
Lord spake and the Moses face to face is a
-
man speaking unto his friend. And he turned again into
-
the camp. But his servant, Joshua, the son of Nun,
-
a young man, departed not out of the tavern at amen,
-
I want to preach a message the Holy Ghost titled
-
I am inclined.
-
To do so.
-
At a time of seeking the Lord for a sermon
-
specific for special people, I said, God, I need something
-
for this beautiful family that you have given me. That
-
I'm coming back to, something straight out of the portals
-
of glory, which it please help me while I'm praying,
-
And I said, God, why am I doing this when
-
I need sleep?
-
Why am I in this for?
-
Why am I going back and forth from the flour
-
in the chair. Why am I doing this rather than
-
sleeping tonight? And Brother Jesse, it seemed as though my
-
spirit said, I am inclined to do so.
-
I want to preach a.
-
Message the Holy Ghost titled I'm inclined to do so Again.
-
Sister quoted in her testimony these words, I have no
-
inclination of jumping ship. Speaking of Brother Jesse's testimony prior
-
to being here this morning, and also Brother Nathaniel, Brother
-
Jesse just read scriptures of people that were inclined to
-
go to church. I am inclined to spend time in church,
-
as Joshua would terry there in the meeting place where
-
the people had gathered, where Moses had saw our God.
-
Let's stand for.
-
The reading of our golden text. Joshua with twenty four
-
verses number twenty three and twenty four, very familiar.
-
Verses of scripture the Bible.
-
Sitting now therefore put away, said he the strange gods
-
which are among you, and incline your heart onto the Lord,
-
God of Israel. And the people said it to Joshua,
-
the Lord, our God. We will serve in his voice.
-
We will obey, praise the Lord. Let's pray this morning,
-
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity to be
-
in your house. We thank you for this precious people. God,
-
I sure feel like they are precious. I know you
-
know the heart, you know the mind, you know the people.
-
I pray that you would send a guard at their
-
ears and have them to hear what the Spirit of
-
God says. And to the church today, Lord, and not
-
of my words, but of your words, I ask you, God,
-
may they hear. Would you send a guard in my
-
mouth and help me to say the things you would
-
have me to say?
-
Nothing more or less.
-
God, I pray that we would depart this place joyfully
-
and not sorrowfully, in Jesus' name. And the church said,
-
Amen again, it is so good to be home with
-
our precious church family. The church family, our golden text
-
is found in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible,
-
the Book of Joshua. The title of this book bears
-
the name of its author, author of the sacred writing,
-
is one of the most recognized characters of the entire Bible,
-
especially the Old Testament.
-
The name Joshua is recognizable.
-
Among the methel hole Inist Church family because for now
-
one of our members bears such a wonderful name. I
-
looked at the meaning of the name Joshua and was
-
blessed by the meaning of the wonderful name.
-
This name immediately triggers the memory.
-
Into a mental explosion, Memories of a mighty warrior. Memories
-
of this mighty warrior's mighty exploits began to pulsate through
-
my mind and even your minds this morning, readers and
-
students of the Bible, people of the Divine Library.
-
People of the claw, people of the sacred Red.
-
When I mentioned that name Joshua, your mind is pulsating
-
with memories of his exploits. And truly, brother Jesse, they
-
were notable and remarkable exploits. You know of him, don't
-
just some of you are smiling right now. Maybe only
-
a couple of you do not recognize the name of
-
such a biblical character.
-
Someone at this very moment is thinking that he is.
-
The successor of the meek and the greatest pastor Israel
-
has ever known, the meekest and the greatest pastor Israel
-
has ever known, the man Moses, while another in this
-
building is thinking of the numerous conquest of Canaan. Another
-
person sitting out there will remember that Joshua is the
-
one who reminded the Israelites, the people of the Lord
-
of the importance of fearing and honoring the Lord, their God.
-
His instructions that God's people were specific.
-
He went on to say that you should.
-
Serve the Lord with your heart.
-
That your heart should be inclined unto the Lord, and
-
not other things. His instructus to them word that they
-
were to be faithful people, to belong and to allow
-
nothing or no one to come in between them and God.
-
There's somebody in this fielding that was safer. As long
-
as I will live, I will never forget that this
-
was the man.
-
That told the children of Israel to march around the walls.
-
Of Jericho, and told a certain group among that group
-
that you are to blow trumpets loudly and tell others.
-
You are to shout loudly and tell some you are
-
to march. And therefore there was a great victory that
-
day for the nation of Israel, which included the down
-
of fall of Canaan and also the downfall of the
-
walls that kept God's people.
-
From possessing their promise. What a character, what a.
-
Noble man man, what a man of valor, a vip
-
amongst the men of God, A very important person, someone
-
that told his people you must serve the Lord. Why
-
would the people of God have to be reminded that
-
it is their duty and their responsibility to live in
-
servitude to the Lord. It seems to be a no
-
brainer to me and some mother's present this morning. But
-
this man of God that was Moses's successor, who finds
-
himself as the leader of.
-
God's people, and at.
-
This time he is a dying man, the greatest general
-
that Israel has known up until this time, only to
-
meet this place by David.
-
Joshua was a mighty general.
-
But there would come one greater named David, that would
-
be more beloved and more regarded and more revered.
-
But this man is second or David and brother Nathaniel.
-
He speaking to people that.
-
Have problems, and they have problems because they have inherited
-
death from people that have made bad choices.
-
And there's some of you this morning that are present
-
that could say I.
-
Was not reared nor was I raised among the people
-
of God. They could not say this. They are reared
-
and raised among the people of God. But the people
-
of God that they were around, those professors were not
-
always possessors, and their forefathers for the Jesse, some of
-
the founding fathers of this great movement.
-
They disobeyed God, and.
-
They transgress a newly received law. If you want their
-
new converts. They received a new covenant for their time,
-
and they're already transgressors and their law break. And Joshua
-
and knows as Phos Daddy and marvel, some goes the babies.
-
So these desert babies are inclined to do evil because
-
of the examples, the fun of them. I feel like
-
preaching to you this morning. You see, this man of
-
God told the ones who profess to be the people
-
of God to toss out the pagan gods. Why would
-
anybody at this point after the ministry of me can
-
mold to For Moses, who did have phare ups at
-
times sometimes the physical body has flair ups. Author rihotis
-
first side as veterrianius all of these houses. Sometimes a
-
mad of God, even Jesus Prince himself had a playo.
-
Sometimes a man of God as a spiritual.
-
And so here the spiritual the trust Joshua as a pharaoh,
-
and he's telling me, these people things are not as
-
they appear to all of you.
-
Consecrated God, He said, the gods, pagan pagans.
-
Forget about the little gods and focus on Vico, the one.
-
That would describe and divide himself as the Lord of
-
the moves and.
-
The God of gods.
-
Isn't it terrible that the Lord would have to speak
-
concerning himself in that manner.
-
So, this great general of Israel, he.
-
Reached the tie and a point in his life when
-
he's about.
-
To take his last breath.
-
And he knows, after he's taken his last breath, this
-
dying man knows, my voice will no longer be heard
-
in the ir canals of this people. My voice will
-
soon stop echoing in the planner of the beings of
-
these individuals. And so as he's saying goodbye and about
-
to lead the land of promise, howven of you know
-
we will be dying soon.
-
Seventy and eighty years is about a long time for
-
someone to live.
-
If we know that.
-
Joshua was about to lead the land of the dying
-
in order.
-
To lay hold on eternal life.
-
In this twenty fourth chapter, the reader findes Chashua was
-
farewell address, and in this address he addresses people he
-
dearly loved. Again, he addresses people who me dearly loved,
-
but they were a people who were raised by people
-
whose hearts had not been fully inclined unto the Lord.
-
I always see what you're doing on Sunday and Wednesday.
-
I don't know what you're doing every other day on
-
that seven day week, that's five more days were giving
-
me incline or the other things that what you seem
-
to be inclined that on Sunday and Nick week. These
-
people are listening to General Joshua preach and speak, and
-
General Joshua is addressing that these people could easily turn
-
back in other words, but Jesse he felt that there
-
was some in that congregation that were incline to jump ship.
-
I'm telling if.
-
God speaking to somebody in this building here this morning,
-
Joshua was telling them, I feel like some of you
-
are inclined to be like your parents and your fore
-
fathers up. You have been too focused on their actions
-
up and their conductor and their characteristic so that you
-
have not been focused on and nothing on your heavenly father.
-
Do you know that their family father, so their fore
-
fathers had problems.
-
Jesus people.
-
Just to it.
-
These chaldren of God's spiritual that thought that they should
-
not follow them.
-
And these and they should not place.
-
He said it should not.
-
Said they should not person. Something took place.
-
It was horrible.
-
It was not God, it was the counsel sources.
-
It's her worst compromise.
-
There somebody in this building this season.
-
So these people raised by people repeated the next time
-
of the dead.
-
Choices mhm.
-
Still being born to a certain direction. It's not our
-
ways of God. And sometimes situations they.
-
Have a way of seeming to prove out to have
-
been the perfect will of God.
-
Until after Daniel Boone's son realized it was unwise to
-
separate from Daddy and his group. I don't remember the
-
name of that son that was murdered there on the
-
frontier because he felt like, I'm a skilled hunter. I
-
have learned all of the necessary skills for survival from
-
the legend of himself. And tonight, me and my small
-
band of me and we will break. Of course, we
-
will set up for Tampa. I'm figuring link.
-
Yeah serious.
-
M hm.
-
So they joined up for General Joshua. They prospered, They've
-
reached the promised Land. Not only did they reach it,
-
they possessed it. But Josua is on his deathbed. Brother
-
Nathaniel I know it's much to ask of you, but
-
you and Brother Towler move that altar to a position
-
here in front of the pulpit, and I want to
-
ask Brother.
-
Nathaniel to lay on that altar. I know that will
-
be uncomfortable.
-
I know that our pattern tubes sometimes make us too
-
comfortable in the House of the Lord. But we won't
-
have to worry about Brother Nathaniel being very comfortable because
-
he's on netwooden altar that represents a death bed. It
-
is never a comfortable position or a posture to be
-
constrained or restrained to a deathbed. The confinement in itself
-
is almost too much for a man to bear. And
-
somebody's dealing with his own personal battles in his own
-
personal mental battles. And Brother chip Roy as he's walking
-
work past up the shadow of the value of death,
-
he has approached the valley of death and death itself,
-
the grim Reaper its flooding angels over him.
-
He's speaking some last words.
-
His Pharah addresses, No, some of you your heart is
-
not inclined to the Lord, looking like some of those
-
things You've got to do it. Try to offer words
-
of instruction, my God, when we should be comforting and
-
counseling the dying. The dying has having minister to us, who,
-
sweet Lamb of God, I'm telling you that tribe should
-
have been gathered together, and then Joshua should have been
-
able to say with a heart full of great joy,
-
that I rejoice in you, my children, that you all
-
walk in truth, and that not one of you air.
-
And it's something that here on his deathbnd, here in
-
his final address, he's still telling Summer, you better get rid.
-
Of those the little gods. Are you paying attention? You
-
better get rid of those little gods?
-
They come on.
-
Now. He may never have laid eyes upon those little gods,
-
but he knew there's a reason why the fine is
-
being spoiled.
-
There's some little foxes lo this camp. You see these
-
scars specific that night. They don't receive these risks.
-
Because then would not put sin out of the camp,
-
because of they would not put sin out of their lives. Sister,
-
But it's too late to walk up to the casket
-
of the buyer and look at that general and say,
-
you know what, those are beautiful scars, And those are
-
scars he has because he fought from me. And it
-
might be true, he fought for you. But the problem is,
-
Joshua knows I did fight for you, I did stand
-
for you. Victory did come, but I will no longer
-
be fighting for you. And I'm concerned. And I can't
-
remember the name of that boy, but I remember studying
-
in school on the frontiersman, specifically Daniel Boone.
-
And I remember brother Start. He was part of the
-
British colony.
-
You will remember they had that eastern coast and the
-
British ruled the eastern coast of the United States of America,
-
and the British sovereign had ruled that nobody was to
-
cross the Appalations because on the other side of the
-
Appalachians were the Indians, and that was Indian territory. You
-
will remember the Shawnee pretty much covered from Michigan almost
-
all the way clear down to Tennessee. I think it
-
was I have not looked into this that I'm not
-
sure that Cherokee might have been a little further west.
-
And then you had to sue you had many other
-
groups of Indians.
-
Brother Tiffroy, but Daniel Moon he wanted to get some
-
skins because in him selling those hides, he was able
-
to become a very wealthy man. And so he ventured
-
into the frontier against the will of the British emperor,
-
you remember, against the will of whoever was the leader
-
at that time.
-
I can't remember.
-
And he explored, and sure enough, it appeared to be
-
beautiful territory. It appeared to be virgin land. It appeared
-
to be unoccupied, and it appeared to offer no danger.
-
There was no reason for alarm or concern. I'm just
-
gonna go out into there. I'm gonna get all of
-
these hides and skins and pelts, and I'm gonna come back,
-
and I'm gonna be prominent and very wealthy. It's true,
-
in that one or two month period he could have
-
earned the year salary in wages for the sales of
-
the proceeds of selling those skins. But brother Charlatan, I
-
can't remember exactly how long it was into.
-
That adventure or into that journey.
-
He came back to.
-
Camp, and a month or two of hard labor and
-
worker had been totally dissolved, and the race they had
-
confiscated every skin that that man had ten and that
-
that man had collected, and that man intended to take
-
back into.
-
The British colony and sell well Jessey.
-
He went out fairly richer and it came back in
-
great data, and it was a great popular Because.
-
He doesn't likely he himself, I can go out and
-
do it.
-
Oh my God in Heaven, you better make.
-
Sure that when Joshua went, does that's your everything.
-
You think you wrong, and that she won't go.
-
They're talking about that with everything go you can do.
-
H okay.
-
To us, brother chip Roy.
-
These people have been raised by dads and moms and
-
grandmas and grandpas whose heart was not always fully inclined
-
unto the Lord. I remember growing up in the churches
-
of God, and I could tell which elder's heart were
-
inclined under the Lord, and I could tell who was it.
-
And I'm pastor and preaching round here this morning.
-
I could tell.
-
And there was something.
-
As a young person with an innocent.
-
Mind, not being critical and not being judgmental, I picked
-
who I wanted to be like if I ever lived
-
right and if I ever sold out to God. I said,
-
I want to be like sister Clara. I didn't want
-
to be like them Others that I will not name,
-
but I will tell you.
-
What their actions were. Their actions were.
-
I came early for.
-
Church to pull out of my pocketbook a cross word puszle.
-
I ain't got more problem.
-
In the world at all across word puscles. I love
-
working across word puszle.
-
But I'm gonna do it.
-
I'm stay and I'm gonna do it. I'm not gonna
-
do it.
-
Sometime this so was ti to their fingernails.
-
I could see the fingerdale dust on the floor in
-
front of their pew where they were.
-
Sitting after church. I could see little clippings and nails.
-
And some of them will go so far as to
-
take their shoes off and cross their legs and trim
-
their toenails. I'm not talking about fairy tales here or
-
something that I'm not an eye witness too.
-
I saw it with my own eyes.
-
I never said anything to Dad and Mama that I
-
was taking a mental note that my problem meals.
-
I might have been deciphering between the two. I might
-
have been differentiated between the two what I wanted to.
-
Be when I got a wife and the problem mill
-
said this. Nine percent of that youth drooper, you stopped percent.
-
That's their example, and they're no longer. If God sends up.
-
They no longer got a desire to prepare church.
-
They don't to be.
-
You see, these people felt like they were constantly moving
-
and constantly running. They felt like brothers Jesse, that they're
-
torn in so many different directions. You know why that
-
is because of Dad involving Grandma and grandfather's indecision. They
-
feel like they're being torn into different directions. They made
-
bad choices about where to spend and invest their time. Yeah,
-
I'm inclined to invest my time right here this morning
-
at the Bethel Hoonly Church eleven fifty three Cornelia Drives Lavel, Florida.
-
Three three nine three five.
-
And I'm inclined to spend and invest tonight's time in
-
the worship God at the same house and worship at
-
the same I tress, why are so many people overwhelmed spiritually?
-
Why are so many people torn spiritually?
-
Because they don't invest enough.
-
Time in the Lord and in the things of the
-
Lord in the church, said Amen. In the fifteen verse
-
of this twenty fourth chapter, Joshua says to Israel.
-
Choose you this day, whom ye will serve? Make a choice? Now.
-
The bomas that a double minded man is unstable in
-
all of his ways, Brother Nathaniel, come up here now
-
and walk this ledge, walking very carefully.
-
A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways.
-
I'm working, brother Nathaniel. He was the general Joshua, and
-
now he is an unstable man. For right now, he's
-
not stolen because he's got his eyes focused on the step.
-
He's also got his eyes focused on the goal, and
-
that is not falling, not failing, and not faltering. That's
-
his objective. We'll make it on this ledge. But if
-
he's divided in heart and spirit and.
-
He's double minded, and he's looking to the left and
-
he's looking to the right, he will not be long.
-
He will be fearing. Oh clears, listen, moms and dancer.
-
I would fear God. Who too much in the com
-
into God's house and check my say so. Media, just
-
see what the latest report is or somebody's gossip station.
-
There's more right.
-
I would play anything, he would myself anything.
-
Concerned.
-
He puts his hand, he's not. There's not so because
-
popped there, see, he said, pops the sting.
-
It just.
-
It just.
-
You go on circles, when you turn the sideways and
-
look at sideways, I felt the Holy sit in this place,
-
and I really do. And I'm not just saying that.
-
In the fifteenth verse of this chapter, josh was made
-
a choice, and that now I'm telling you they had
-
half for time to do so. They had time to
-
do it when Moses was their leader. They had time
-
to do it when Joshua was their leader. But they
-
remained in indecision. And Elijah did dealt with the same
-
syndrome indecision. He said, I don't halts you between two opinions.
-
You need to make a choice, because you ain't doing
-
nobody any good. I remember one time our pastor preached
-
a message. I don't remember the title of the texts.
-
I think I just remembered, is thy heart right when
-
my heart? As my heart is right with? I heard,
-
and I thought, surely, nobody in this building is struggling
-
in this manner. There's only thirty some people here. Everybody
-
seems to be faster than praying. Everybody seems to be
-
doing good. Everybody seems to be on fire. The young
-
man that I least expected. I just went to the
-
pastor's office the next morning, knocked on the door and
-
in a very foul, bitter spirit.
-
He said, no, it is not. That was the young
-
man that had been promoted to preach.
-
That was the young man that had been allowed permission
-
to play a piano, had been allowed to sing. He
-
went to his pastor's office and knocked in the door, foolishing,
-
spoke to his pastor in a manner he had never
-
spoke to him before, and said, I've come with an
-
answer to you a question. I want to tell every
-
foolish person that's ever done that to a pastor, including
-
these people have done it to Joshua Moses, you've got
-
mighty too big for your riches, because what you were
-
to do was to humble yourself and answer God and
-
the altar that night, not make a trick down a
-
highway and go to your pastor's office and knock on
-
his door while he's busy providing a living for his
-
family and say, I come for it with an answer
-
to your question.
-
Listen.
-
It was God asking the question. And from what I've seen,
-
that guy has not prospered one bit. And I have
-
definitely seen that he has struggled in some spiritcing ever
-
since he told his passion of my heart is not
-
with your heart as your heart is with my heart.
-
And that's what Joshua was saying to these people.
-
I know how dead and Mom were, but really, in reality,
-
they should have considered every last.
-
One of them.
-
Brother, your boy is buried over there in the desert,
-
saying they none of them inherited or inhabited the Thaumased
-
land after all. And just because you made it don't
-
mean you'll keep it. Just because you made it to
-
there don't mean you'll keep residency there. So these people,
-
they were incline to invest their time and things that
-
were frivolous, and investor time and things that didn't matter.
-
You're thinking about things that really don't matter. I remember
-
one time I was offered a church, and it didn't
-
take me long to realize I have to stop thinking
-
about that opportunity. Sometimes I'll mention that opportunity here to Methel,
-
just to let them know that the sacrifice I made
-
came from my heart.
-
Choice that I made was between two, and I chose Bethel.
-
And Sister how was talking about that while we were
-
swimming in the ocean, while we were gone on that
-
private beach, we swam in the ocean, not exiting, not
-
getting out of it. One time every day for at
-
least two and a half hours, so that's a long
-
time to be in the water.
-
She loves the water. I love the water. We were
-
not concerned about sharks. Did we see one?
-
Of course, when you spend that much time in the
-
water for a week, you'll see the porpoise go by.
-
In the distance, you'll see a shark. Vin, you have
-
to be careful remove yourself from their territory. As I'm
-
preaching here this morning, you better stay out of Indian territory.
-
You better make sure you're a Daniel Boone before you
-
attempt to be a frontiersman. Just because you're Junior Boom,
-
don't make you Daniel Boone and just propose.
-
Daddy Haulds your height up.
-
To the top of the Appalachian and you looked out
-
with Joshua and you said, look at that.
-
That's an opportunity for conquest.
-
That's an opportunity for inhabitation, that's an opportunity for civilation.
-
Listen, little Junior Boon, you better be careful. There's a
-
time ahawk for you. I feel like it's a tomahawk
-
of sin. Huh. I'm preaching to somebody.
-
I'm telling you I'm not going to overlook what God
-
has done this morning. I wasn't looking for confirmation for
-
God's speaking to somebody this morning. I've said it for years.
-
God is the only one that opens doors. The devil
-
opens opportunities door. God's not the only one that promotes. Yes,
-
promotion comes from the Lord, but the devil also promotes people.
-
And so I had to think about that opportunity. I
-
don't think it was an opportunity that the devil presented.
-
I don't think it was an opportunity that would have
-
destroyed my family altogether. But I know my family wouldn't
-
be identified as it is today. I don't feel like
-
my boys would have the wives that they have today.
-
I don't feel like some of you would be where
-
you're at spiritually today. And Sister House said yeah about
-
that a lot of times, she said, you know, sometimes
-
the question that I hear you keep saying is I
-
hope that God somebody didn't lose her soul as a
-
result of me not choosing them. And that was what
-
haunted me up until this past week. I hope to
-
God that there wasn't a passle of people that lost
-
their soul.
-
Or lost their vision, or lost their burden, or lost.
-
Their zeal, their passion, their desire, their inclination of because
-
I wasn't there, because I didn't accept that opportunity that's
-
haunted me privately at night, all hours of the night
-
for many years.
-
Did I obey God? Or did I disobey God?
-
Was that God's will?
-
Or was it not?
-
And I've really realized it wasn't. And the further I
-
get from that situation tomorrow, I realized.
-
That was not the best choice.
-
It was God's will for me to be here, to
-
drive down state to set up tent, to pitch tent here,
-
and Sister house, she said, you know, Jeremy, I was thinking.
-
She said, for every soul that could have been.
-
Lost potentially there, she said, if you'd have left Bethel,
-
she said, you'd lost the equal amount there. She said,
-
where would Tyler be? Where would Crystal be? Where would
-
this one and that one be? And I said, you
-
know what, You're right. It was just a trading off
-
of souls. And so I felt peace right then, and
-
Sister move because I realized.
-
Tyler, where are you at? Tyler?
-
I realized he's just as important, just as special to
-
me and God as anyone else. No matter what his
-
last name is, He's just as important and just as
-
special to being God as anyone else.
-
All souls belonged to God.
-
And so I've decided I am burying that, and I
-
left it in that sea of forgetfulness for effort.
-
I have not been haunted one day and not since it.
-
And there's some of you that have lost stays and
-
it's in your past and you're struggling.
-
With and an apostle Paul dealt with that same demon
-
and that safe spirit and what could have been?
-
That's what my wist brother said to me and Sister
-
Hannah's one celebration over there, as we had time of
-
refreshment nursement. He said, the only thing I struggle with
-
is what could have been if Be and you in
-
charity and my wife had have been together and could
-
have spent time together and pellowship together and foster and
-
family together, and that close companionship and companionship.
-
Listen, You're not the only one that bothers and fauns and.
-
Struggles with what and what could I be?
-
This message has taken a lot longer than it should
-
have because I'm trying to help so many people in
-
so many areas, you'll kill yourself mentally, physically, inspiracy, wondering
-
about what could have been, what should have been? What
-
if I preached the message years ago toddled the storm
-
name what if if any of these people who would
-
hurt Joshua refused to choose, then their choice was made
-
by default. If they refuse to make a choice, then
-
an essence they chose right then and there. When Gamaliel
-
told the men, thus remain neutral. I'd like to just
-
have neutral feelings concerned in this matter, he made a
-
choice right then against Christianity. His indecision, Brother Stare, was
-
indicative of the same thing that George W.
-
Bush just done. He made a decision, and by him
-
not speaking, he made a choice.
-
Most of these celebrities, including a list celebrities, sports stars,
-
musical talents of all genres, also preachers of all persuasions,
-
they're recommending a candidate for the presidency of the United States.
-
Among former presidents, I believe only one living president refused
-
to make a referral and to recommend whom he should
-
vote for, whom we should vote for, and that was
-
our dearly beloved George W.
-
Bush.
-
And when I heard him say, I refuse what do
-
you call that one name? Make a statement endorsement?
-
That's it.
-
When I heard George W.
-
Bush say I refused to endorse a president for this
-
presidency upcoming presidency, I knew ricked in brother Thomas there
-
at the fact that the man wouldn't speak against Donald J.
-
Trump and wouldn't say I endorse Miss Harris. I knew
-
wracked in in blazing big bold letters, George W. Bush
-
was saying, I vote for Donald J. Trump defies you.
-
The fact that the entire political system and every rhyter included,
-
is saying we endorse miss Harris. So call V P.
-
Harris the last choice in the previous Democratic primary. The
-
fact that he didn't just boldly like Carl Rove did
-
and Dick Cheney and all them McCain's and all them
-
other people.
-
Brother Jesse ted Cruz had stepped out.
-
Yet, said Bunch. Marco Rubio said a few things. There's
-
a lot of them going very silent. There's a lot
-
of them growing even more.
-
Silent by the day, and that appalls me and concerns me.
-
Well, what I'm trying to say is you're in decision
-
right now and you're continueing decision.
-
Or put things behind.
-
I heard the messages that were preached in life since
-
our father.
-
The spirit of what was being said.
-
I heard, never go.
-
Samuel said, don't sell your everybody in the face of God.
-
Don't don't go get through this week? Did you see God?
-
Did you people? Did you find He? Did you proceed.
-
Side?
-
You say?
-
If you if you meditate on that old flame long enough,
-
you play with that fire, you'll get burned. You'll marry
-
somebody that's supposed to be the apple of your eye,
-
the prize of your.
-
Soul, the joy of your heart, and you'll find yourself tying.
-
And I pant to what could have been.
-
There's no way we could get where we're at today
-
if I was continually thinking about the opportunity of fifteen
-
years ago. I feel the Holy Good stick in this place.
-
I'm preaching that somebody. We'll see if the altar is
-
fruitful for that time. My pastor preaches, your heart right
-
with my heart is my heart's right with eye. The
-
young man didn't respond, but he was planning in his spirit,
-
in his heart, he was gonna make his moood literally,
-
and in the next day he spoke.
-
With big bold words, and I can tell you something.
-
I mean no disrespect.
-
I need somebody's wearing a necktie that I don't care about.
-
You amiliate because they don't care about you amiliating their mom. Philip,
-
thank you, Greg, come up here. This guy's always been
-
a nuting. But that guy was being controlled by his wife.
-
And it came out that he was so impact and
-
so whipped into submission his little wimpy heart. Listen, if
-
you want to be a slave to spirits, they will
-
lead you about. She led him from that church to
-
the next church, to the next church, to the next church,
-
and slowly, but surely she's led him away from this standard,
-
to this standard, to this standard, to this standard. While
-
saying whether this traditions of yesteryear, why should we continue
-
this tradition, I'm telling you you get led away from
-
the will of God, it'll be to your demise. I'm
-
my preaching is exactly how I want to preach, because
-
God is moving on me right here this morning, to
-
cover a lot of bases and a lot of ground.
-
Why they refuse to settle it in our spirit? Look
-
again at our golden texts. Now therefore put away, said
-
he the strange gods which are among you, and incline
-
your heart unto the Lord, God of Israel. Did you
-
notice that Beloved, the Spiritual and Natural God told these
-
people incline your hearts unto the Lord. I wonder how
-
many of these people started shaking their heads and wagging
-
their tongues, and how many stood there and denial when
-
they knew very well that they had allowed their hearts to.
-
Be inclined towards other things besides the things of God.
-
As we read that verse, we clearly say there were
-
a thing in their lives that were inclining their hearts
-
away from the Lord. So among the congregation, so among
-
this congregation, so among many other congregations, and it will
-
continue to be so until the Lord's return. There will
-
be those that gather together of different inclinations.
-
Do y'all think God has ordered the service this morning
-
or not?
-
Our brother read one of our co texts, saw one
-
nineteen one twelve and said, I have inclined my heart
-
to perform.
-
The statues of the Lord.
-
I have inclined my heart to perform always the statues.
-
Of the Lord.
-
And he went on, Brother Roquep, I'm not quoting I'm paraphrasing,
-
but I believe he said, even unto the end, how
-
many presents today, know that the choices you make today
-
will become your inclinations. You're inclined that way because the
-
choices you're making, you're choosing with your own being, her
-
very own mind, to dwell on it and to meditate
-
on it. The choices that you are making are becoming
-
your inclinations. When we define the word inclined, we say
-
it means to lean toward, lean inward, tend to fall
-
in a direction, to be drawn toward a course of conduct.
-
The song was said, I have inclined my heart to
-
perform thy statues always, even unto the end. Joshua was
-
at the very tip of the end of his life.
-
We live near the very end of the tip of
-
the state of Florida.
-
This maranss to how it was about to breathe his
-
last breath, when he has served God all the days
-
of his life, all the days of his life, he
-
was inclined to do right.
-
Y'all.
-
Hear me say it a lot of times, which way
-
are you bent? Concerning Central Christmas? From miscuity? We hear
-
sometimes people say, hey, that one was always bent in
-
that direction. And extend It's thirty three and eleven the Bible.
-
He said in the Lord speaking to Moses face to face,
-
as a man speaking and his friend. And he turned
-
again into the camp, but to servant Joshua, the son
-
of None, a young man, departed, not out of the tabernacle.
-
So this tells me, Brother Nathaniel, Brother Jesse.
-
Even as a young man, this man.
-
Joshua was inclined to do what was right, that include
-
going to the House of God. In essence, he didn't
-
want to quit church. In essence, he didn't want to
-
jump ship. In essence, he didn't want to quit God
-
because his heart was inclined to the Lord. You wouldn't
-
find this guy hiding little gods here and there, hide
-
little apse on a cell phone, deleting his brows in
-
his true because his heart was inclined unto the Lord.
-
Joshua wasn't so sure that his contemporaries and peers were
-
making the same choices as he. He spoke directly to
-
those people. They needed to be renewed in the Lord.
-
Here in his death, Brother Jonathan, he knew they need
-
a personal revival. When you see somebody in the church
-
family rugling and trade for them to have a personal revival,
-
because Joshua was.
-
Tired of hearing their lift service.
-
He heard their pledge as they vowed to serve God,
-
but his words to them were just echoes of their
-
forefather's words. And so he repeated, incline your heart unto
-
the Lord God of Israel. Incline your heart that that
-
is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, that that
-
you don't really know.
-
Incline your heart. So everyone was to take his instruction
-
to heart. Incline your heart.
-
I want everyone present to think with me right now,
-
what are my inclinations?
-
What is my natural tendencies? What about that feeling that
-
makes you want to do that certain thing.
-
Sister Howell's natural tendency is to find a gourmet donat
-
but now she has taught herself not to have those inclinations.
-
But because we were out and about on our thirtieth
-
wedding anniversary, I decided to reinvite form her inclinations. And
-
I went into Publics and I found the very best
-
Gormete donuts and on the mankind in the bakery at
-
Public's at Fort Myers, beach and sister woodin.
-
She said, I don't know, Jeremy, you shouldn't have done it.
-
And she said I can't do that, and walked about
-
thirty feet started looking at other things, and so I said, cheered.
-
I need to ask you a question.
-
But I was standing right by them donuts, and I said,
-
I need to ask you a question about something else.
-
There's a half gallon of unsweet tea right here, Public's brand,
-
it's brewed.
-
It'd probably be good. What do you think I think
-
it'd be good?
-
I said, Poplic's got good subs, Public's got good fried chicken,
-
Pope's got a good grocery store, Polish got.
-
Good clean stuff. Gotta be good.
-
She said, I think it'd be finding. As I saw
-
that eye, look at that gorm made donut. And if
-
you have Marco Polo and you have my seconds, you
-
see me proud to eating my half. You didn't see
-
her eat her half unless I captured it on my seconds.
-
I might have, but she ate her half and then
-
we both ended up a whole one.
-
But now because she's been re exposed to the gourmet donuts,
-
she's inclined to do so. Because I heard her say
-
just yesterday or the day before. She said, you know,
-
I've never had a donut like that one. She said,
-
the dough and that thing and the way it tasted.
-
Sister Megan is just so good. So Sister Booting.
-
Because of a choice that I made.
-
Now she has an inclination. She's inclined. I feel the
-
whole case so tall. You make it some bad choices,
-
and that's why you're inclined. I'm inclined to do so.
-
But I'm glad I've made some good choices, and I'm
-
inclined to be here with my beautiful church family today.
-
I'm inclined to fellowship with the believers, to the service
-
here this morning. I'm inclined to go to church. I
-
have a desire to go. I'm inclined to do so.
-
Brother Dan, I'm meant to be in church. You know,
-
they used to make I don't want to say the
-
word it begins with a letter V. Those that had
-
never experienced certain things that adults do that are married.
-
And they used to make fun of those people because
-
of their status as a begins with a letter V.
-
A pure moral person that is unexperienced.
-
I remember in the.
-
Nineties they tried to shame some of those that were
-
inexperienced gloriously and that had self control, and that were
-
pure and moral.
-
They tried to shame them for being a Well, some
-
of us were inclined to be so.
-
Unashamedly because we found it disgusting and sickening to throw
-
ourselves at something like a pent tall.
-
Because we were above that morally.
-
And now they try to shame us for being bonafide
-
true blue tear, vanilla grade, a old fashion in style,
-
never out of fashion, Holy rollers, cure, living clean, living.
-
Tongue talking people of God. Well, I wasn't ashamed to
-
be pure then, and I'm I'm ashamed to be pure
-
and holy before God.
-
Now I'm in climbing in a holiness church. I've been
-
climbing a Florida no matter who comes in, it.
-
Sun what he comes on.
-
Something.
-
Saf Son.
-
T Bidwick servant.
-
Said a standing Oh God, my heart just broke.
-
I'm preaching to somebody. I can tell when a person's
-
inclinations are off.
-
I can tell when a person's inclinations are off, Brother Jesse,
-
would you come to the piano please, my brother. I
-
can tell when a person is sensitive to the situation.
-
Before they ever at hand, and I can tell when
-
they're insensitive. I can tell when they're sensitive to their situation.
-
I can tell when they're insensitive to their situations as
-
to how they leading in the wrong direction. I can
-
tell those that realize I'm taken a wrong turn, and
-
they take correct the action and turn around emotionally.
-
That's what I did in that ocean. Just this past week, I.
-
Said, you know what, I've made a good choice, and
-
I've decided that was the only decision that I needed
-
to make, the only choice to be made. I've made
-
it because if I remain an indecision, I will still
-
feel inclination of what shouldn't been, what.
-
Could have been, what if?
-
But the Bible said that as a young man, Joshua
-
accompanied Minister meet Moses to the place of meeting.
-
Brother Chip.
-
I don't know if he actually walked inside immediately, if
-
he stood outside the door, but if I read it correctly,
-
about a month or two ago, God began to speak
-
to Moses, Brother Philip. I feel like Joshua heard what
-
God told Moses, and I've been thank you about this
-
since the early morning hours. Brother stare at what he
-
heard changed him, what he saw Moses' experience change him,
-
and our co text said that when Moses left church
-
to go take care of business and to run the
-
people of Israel, to manage the affairs of the people
-
of Israel, that Joshua stood there into ten.
-
You ain't getting this.
-
I want everybody to forget that, Brother Jester, brother Nathaniel,
-
or in physition there at the pendent. I want you
-
to picture brother Philip standing here on the platform. Brother Jonathan,
-
would you turn them blights in the back out? Throw
-
them switches, Brother Kennill, put you through these switches.
-
Church is over.
-
The move of God has happened, has taken place. Moses
-
has had an amazing.
-
Encounter with God. Everybody knows he's anointed, He's preached, he
-
spoke to God to part. God has moved to parate.
-
God's all over Moses, and Moses walks out of church.
-
But Dame had been inclined unto the Lord. Daniel had
-
been inclined under the Lord. The three Hebrew children had been.
-
Inclined under the Lord.
-
Life had not been inclined unto the Lord. Lot's heart
-
was not inclinedent to the Lord. Abraham's was, but Mary's
-
heart was inclined into the Lord because when he laid
-
in the dark speaking of Jesus, when he laid in
-
a two, she went looking for him.
-
When this service is over, when pastors on vacation.
-
When Moses is exited the building, Brother Caleb turned on
-
that chandelier.
-
If you can't.
-
Brother Phillips standing there behind the pulpit, I've walked to
-
the back. I imagine this building is empty, vacated. Everybody
-
look up there at Brother Philip. Get the imagery. Joshua
-
is still in the tent, He's still in the tavern nkele,
-
He's still in the meeting place.
-
God.
-
What I need is an experience like Moses had.
-
What I need is an encounter like Moses had, because
-
I find of myself struggling because of the influence.
-
Of all these other hipocrites.
-
Listen, other people's actions are not ground or calls for bidterness.
-
If anybody this building could end up bitter yours truly
-
to be that man, Because how am I to cope
-
even with the fact that I'm having to preach to
-
one among seventy, or maybe two or three among seventy,
-
even right now that you're inclinations.
-
Of your heart are not fully after God or God's will.
-
That didn't make for a peaceful night last night. It
-
won't make for a peaceful afternoon. But I'm glad to
-
do it. So Joshua remained in the tent, so we
-
can incline our hearts in the right direction. And the
-
church said amen. So Joshua said, we could do so
-
by destroying and putting away these little gods that are
-
now present in our life. Listen, if you're putting a
-
girl or a woman, or a church, or a business
-
opportunity or anything between you and God, that thing or
-
that person has already become an idle unto you in
-
this sin anyway. It's a touch me not already, because
-
if it was meant to be, Ruth will follow Naomi wherever.
-
What it is God's spirit, your God spirits you from
-
an unfaithful spirit, Because sister Howell followed me out of
-
a world that charismatic, compromising church, out of a much
-
nicer building and facility, out of the presence of a
-
more political pastor, and followed me into a little church
-
out in obscurity.
-
Listen, if the spirit of that girl is that such
-
that she would follow you, If the.
-
Spirit of that church opportunity pastor was that after a
-
year you'd been brought before the board and then brought
-
before the church for reconsideration to see if.
-
They would keep you.
-
Why wouldn't you take it anyway?
-
Because everybody should know from day one there was a
-
man sent from God. There's too many people struggling with
-
what could have been. You had to put it behind you,
-
put it in your past once and for all. Thank
-
God for the memories. But we've all got cherished memories.
-
We've all got memories, a new feel of wonderful, tender,
-
sweet spirit in this place. Some things have been tethered
-
to our minds and our imaginations too long, and because
-
of that we're bearing off course, we're stumbling and staggered.
-
I wanted to say this, Are you inclined to tarry
-
until you're endued with power on high? Are you inclined
-
to be in church? Are you inclined to serve God
-
all the days of your life? Do you know why America,
-
our beloved country, is into shape she's in at this
-
time because she's inclined unto other things besides the Lord.
-
The Bible said that there will come a time in
-
their lovers and pleasures more than lovers of God. They
-
are busy pursuing the almighty Dollar brother Broadcap rather than
-
they're almighty God. They are too busy climbing the corporate
-
ladder instead of scaling Jacob's ladder and reaching greater heights
-
in the Lord. I don't know about y'all, but I'm
-
inclined to be here this morning, and I'm inclined to
-
be here tonight, and I'm inclined to see God this afternoon.
-
I'm inclined to visit fire forest. I'm inclined to lay
-
in the floor at night. I'm inclined to spend all
-
night in the chair. And that is the God's honest truth.
-
I'm inclined to feel.
-
That to God, just so that one of them Indians
-
does not get you.
-
And I'm talking to some people among seventy maybe only morning,
-
that if you keep making these bad choices, you're gonna
-
find your family veering off course.
-
In the days of old, I spoke to my servant Abraham.
-
There was a reason and a purpose from my calling.
-
Yeah, I call him henceforth from among some that would
-
have cost him his very life.
-
History has written.
-
Differently because of my call, because of his obedience, because
-
of his departure and his destination.
-
Yes, he became the father of the faithful. He found
-
himself faithfully serving me. I call him friend. Why do
-
you look back? Do not look back?
-
Go into the land of promise, Remain there and terror
-
I shall bless thee And now see in an amazing way.
-
Yeah, I say in time, even as.
-
My servant that drifted in my mighty ocean understands today
-
he made the right choice. You will go that you
-
made the right choice.
-
Choose you this day.
-
Put everything else.
-
Away, put it out of your mind, and serve me.
-
And see if I'm blessed me, I will blessed it.
-
Did I not telled Abraham I would bless his seed,
-
and that it would be a great multitude, an innumerable host.
-
Did not my.
-
Servant John, thousands of years later, look into heaven and
-
saw the innumorable host, the hot spring of the obedience,
-
the offspring of the faithful.
-
I say to you, I will bless.
-
You all mightily abide and the fine abide in my spirit.
-
Abide in the land of promise, that I will be
-
with him. Leave the fortress and be destroyed.
-
Thus said the Lord, need to pray this morning.
-
That's actient, all right here the after I've heard, I'm
-
in fine to obey im.
-
Fine.
-
Mm.
-
Let's say.
-
I'm going, Lord, I'm.
-
Bringing the journey.
-
I would be.
-
No whoa.
-
God, I'll be there to time.
-
Rigoring be golopy. Yeah, that would make bar oh scared
-
it all the girl.
-
I'm with you for the journey.
-
I will be there.
-
I will born the choices.
-
You saw, I see it.
-
I will follow me. Hm hm, how you fall.
-
Over, wherever you may go out.
-
People, mhm, wherever you make.
-
H the joy that it brings? Can it be explained?
-
I will it turns around you that day you came
-
when I saw your love, I said I would, Lord,
-
I'll followed.
-
Will see came down, don't know me and I pray
-
by sitting her forgiving.
-
Then norldings passed away. Lord, I gave you my promise. Lord,
-
who might behind me?
-
Dream God?
-
Oh, the journey, the.
-
River whatever.
-
Up?
-
Oh?
-
Oh, exp.
-
Change stay where saw you.
-
Seeing you all lived, I would be.
-
See games story.
