Hey, there is bacteria in backwash. There is bacteria in backwash.
-
It's good to see you all in the house of
-
the Lord. Let's turn to the Book of Hebrews. Man,
-
direct your attention to the thirteenth chapter, and we'll be
-
reading verses number eight and nine here momentarily, Brother Nathaniel
-
Galatians chapter number two and verse number eighteen. Brother jesse Galatians,
-
Chapter number four, Versus number eight through eleven.
-
It's good to see everybody here, all of our visitors,
-
each one.
-
We appreciate the teaching of the Sunday school teachers each
-
and every Sunday morning.
-
May God bless that ministry more and more. Thank you,
-
teachers for your burden for God's people. Thank you for
-
working in your church.
-
Family. We thank you for that.
-
Brother Nathaniel, Galatians, chapter number two, Verse number eighteen.
-
Listen carefully of love it for if I.
-
Build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself transgressive.
-
So if I build the things that I once destroyed,
-
I make myself a Transgressor do.
-
You believe that those are the words of the great
-
Apostle Paul. Let's hear further for the jesse Galatians chapter
-
number four Versus number eight through eleven.
-
Howbeit, then when ye knew not God, you did service
-
unto them, which by nature are no gods. But now
-
after that you have known God, or rather are known
-
of God. I'll turn you again through the week in
-
beggarly elements, where unto you desire again to be in
-
bondage you observed days and months in times of years.
-
I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon
-
you labor in vain.
-
Is it that sad?
-
So sad that the great Apostle Paul would have to
-
preach such a thing to those people. He had worked
-
so hard to establish that church there, and he set
-
them forth in the currents of the river of Grace,
-
only to find out that they were not flowing like
-
they should have been.
-
They were called up in the backwash.
-
I feel burden this morning to preach to some how
-
many of you know we should have but one goal.
-
That is making Heaven our home.
-
I have but one goal in this life, and that
-
is to make it to Heaven. I want to hear
-
the Lord say, well done, thou good and faithful servant.
-
I want to encourage the faithful this morning to continue
-
in your faithfulness, because there are many voices in the world.
-
That's what the Word of God says.
-
There's many spirits speaking within this world. They speak through
-
all sorts of mediums. They influence people.
-
How many of you know there is a fascination in
-
this world with influencers.
-
Social media influencers are the fascination of this era, this age.
-
I'm telling you, it's amazing to me how they have
-
captivated the audience's worldwide. I don't understand that there must
-
be a spirit about it, but so many people are
-
being distracted and they have been diverted.
-
If I want to talk to you a.
-
Little bit about the bacteria of backwash, let's stand for
-
the reading of our text Hebrews, chapter number thirteen, Versus
-
number eight nine. The Bible says, be not carried about
-
with diverse and strange doctrines, for it is a good
-
thing that the heart be established.
-
With grace, not with meats which have not profited them
-
that have been occupied thereon.
-
Let's back up one verse.
-
Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. May
-
we pray, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity
-
to be in your house this morning.
-
I thank you for this thy people. I thank you
-
Lord that they have a desire to be in your house.
-
They could have been in so many different places, but
-
they've gathered here.
-
I pray that you would bless them.
-
Lord, Set of God at their ear and help them
-
to ear what the spirit of God says or to
-
the church this morning. Set of guard in my mouth
-
that helped me to say the things that you would
-
have you to say, nothing more or less. I need
-
you so desperately, God, I pray that we would received
-
these sayings down into our soul and our spirit. Lord,
-
don't let them just go in one ear and out
-
the other world and twirl around in that.
-
Mine and exit.
-
I pray that they would saturate our spirits and our being.
-
What the Spirit of God is saying.
-
Individuals in this building this morning, may we be hearers,
-
and also may we heed. We give you the praise, honor,
-
the glory, and help us to depart this place joyfully
-
in Jesus' name. And the Church said, look at your
-
neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, do you let your child
-
drink after you? Do you drink after your child? I
-
want to ask you that question. Do you drink after
-
your child.
-
I do not. I never have, I never will because.
-
I've always been a little bit concerned about backwash. And
-
the Church said, amen, well, I can tell there's some
-
of you, and you locked backwis I don't all right?
-
Our text is found in a New Testament book of
-
the Holy Bible.
-
It is found in the Book of Hebrews.
-
This book is one of many books that constitute the
-
Holy Bible. How many of you are thankful for your
-
copy of the King James Translation. A lot of people
-
refer to other translations or reversions of the Bible as perversions.
-
I do appreciate my copy of the King James Translation.
-
For the English speaking people, I do feel like that
-
particular manuscript has been very successful in the hands of
-
believers throughout the centuries, leading them to many spiritual victories.
-
There is no doubt that the.
-
Americas must testify that with this sacred book in hand,
-
specifically the King James Translation, many revivals have been birthed
-
on our continent.
-
Isn't that wonderful?
-
So I'm thankful to beholding such a valuable resource.
-
In my head.
-
The Divine Library constituted of sixty six sacred books and
-
as I read through.
-
This Holy Book.
-
I came to this particular book of the Bible, and
-
Brother Jesse, it seemed to have apprehended my mind. And
-
Sister Woodmas, I got into this thirteenth chapter and begin
-
reading from verse number one through verse number nine.
-
I had to back up and reread it.
-
It broke my heart to think that the great Apostle Paul,
-
who testify that he carried upon himself a burden that
-
was so great that only Jesus could help him carry them.
-
You know, the charge of the Lord is to bear
-
our brother's birthdays.
-
That's how we fulfill the long Christ. You remember that
-
came the first son of father Adam and mother Eve.
-
He struggled with the concept of I must help my
-
brother and I must be my brother's keeper, and so
-
to fulfill the law.
-
We are a burden bearer.
-
We help our brothers and sisters, people of load precious faith.
-
Also within this church of numerous outreach ministries, and we
-
help our brothers and sisters, the children of Adam and
-
Eve on a weekly fasis, trying to lighten their load
-
a little bit.
-
So this man that is carrying the load of the.
-
Early Church, he's its founder if you would, along with
-
other Apostolic Brethren, men that have been commissioned to birth
-
this church in its embryotic stages, and it's very infancy.
-
He finds out there's some people that want to abort him.
-
There are people that want to come in and abolish it.
-
How many of you know that Lucifer is not at
-
all pleased this morning with the fact that you are
-
in a Bible thumping, Bible believe in church. He's married
-
disappointed with that. In fact, he will do everything within
-
his power to distract you from the purpose of coming
-
to the House of God.
-
As Brother Jesse said, from coming to.
-
That special place where you meet with God and Brother Nathaniel,
-
you think about this man that's carrying such a murden
-
for people, and you would think, even with God honoring
-
his labor, even God blessing the labor and.
-
The way the church is thriving.
-
And growing, that there would be no problem within it,
-
that there would be no cancer surfacing, that there would
-
be no messengers or little birds would call them bringing
-
him word.
-
And over there Thatch.
-
Local congregation where all of those Jewish believers are gathered,
-
there are evil influencers coming into the congregation attempting to
-
revert them back to Junaism. Those of you that know
-
a little bit about Junaism. They believed in the Lord God.
-
They believed in Jehovah Jarah. They believed they were Israelites.
-
They were supposed to be God's precious people, especially chosen
-
descendants of Abraham.
-
They were keepers of the law.
-
The very people that were recipients of the Law of
-
Moses at one time had been considered the specially chosen
-
people of God. But you know, brother Nathaniel, these people
-
were to go on unto perfection.
-
When Jesus came, he did not do away with the law.
-
He didn't want it up as though it was a
-
piece of trash and discard, and he brought it up
-
to the full and he let them know, there will
-
be no.
-
More need for ceremonial law.
-
You will not have to find the fulfillment of salvation
-
and deliverance through the sacrificial law. You won't have to
-
observe certain parts of the law, specifically the ceremonial law.
-
And said, these people voked out of Judaism unto perfection.
-
They went into salvation, they went into sanctification, they went
-
into the holiness baptism, and they were on the fire
-
with God, if you want. God had set them forth
-
in a spiritual canoe.
-
Own the river of Grace. But some of them did
-
not put.
-
Enough distance between them and the people that had influenced
-
them previously.
-
They did not.
-
Move along with grace the way that God intended.
-
The scriptures are clear that we are to grow in
-
grace and.
-
In the knowledge of the Lord and the Savior Jesus Christ,
-
or this man.
-
That was so greatly burden.
-
He begins to realize that teachers, rabbis, cribs, and parses
-
as anteuses had sent forth influencers that would penetrate this
-
precious little assembling of Christians, people that mimic and parented
-
the lifestyle of Jesus. And he realizes they're not being
-
unsuccessful in their attempt to distract and destroy Christians in
-
this particular region. So the apostle Paul, he pulls his
-
chair up to his desk, and he puts pen to parchment,
-
and he pinned to the hebrew people these words that
-
we've pined in the Book of Hebrews. Would is say,
-
a man, I believe not only is this for the
-
Jewish believer.
-
It is also good for the gent top believer.
-
And we're gonna pine some trues relevant to us today.
-
You see, it is clear to see.
-
That something within that local church were being distracted for
-
their purpose in life. And now in the some of
-
them had denied Jesus, some pampling. Something happened, something took
-
place that caused them to.
-
Turn their backs of old Jesus. I do not believe
-
that happened over.
-
Nine How many of you know that backsliding in heart
-
is a gradual process. Slowly but surely you gradually wear away.
-
And Brother Jesse, I.
-
Believe it began when evil influencers and fatal distractions, also
-
just the natural tendency of the busy man for sake
-
the sebling of yourself together in the house of the Lord.
-
You will remember the apostle Pon address some rather at
-
one particular time, and he cautions them and warn them
-
against not going to church, because he knew when you
-
do not have the influence of the believers in your life,
-
and when you do not have a positive influencer, a
-
ministry and a minister in your life, you will begin
-
to fall away. If you want to drift away and
-
when as.
-
You drift away, you'll find yourself.
-
In the low port of back wash. If you go
-
and grace, you just move right on along.
-
Or yes, you be concerned about it, fearing to the
-
letter to the right.
-
Oh, yes, there'd be sendin Pitt Pauser along the river
-
of Graca, that there would never be a concern of
-
back washer. Some of you don't understand her who I'm
-
talking about. You know, sometimes whatever a homeowner wills to
-
clear their filter and their pool system, they will reverse
-
the flow of the water and they will pull that
-
water and reverse the fashion called back floor, which is
-
also the back lasser that filter and that pool system.
-
You see, the closer you stay to your experience in God,
-
the more dangerous it is for you to be caught
-
out put in backflow. You see, those that have been
-
saved not to pursue sanctification, and those that are sacti pad.
-
Are to pursue the Holy desk baptism.
-
You see, it probably would have been good for some
-
of these people to skiff our certain teachers stuff that
-
once influencer and instructed them.
-
But no, people came in and we fire.
-
These believers have coming to a place where their conscience
-
is seared, and as it's a hot.
-
Iron seer, there we find their hearts.
-
Being heard in it because of disbeliever, certain fatal destructions
-
and certain fatal attractions that's causing him to lose him
-
out with God, the author of this book of the Bible.
-
I believe he's the Apostle Paul and I believe brother
-
Jesse that he was morning has he paying these words
-
as he put pin in the punch in there his
-
heart was brevened.
-
And this morning it breaks my heart to.
-
Look out at the congregation of any believers in the
-
thank that God dealt with me yesterday about somebody backing
-
up and somebody being called in the bacteria a back washer.
-
Have any of you in this field and know that
-
you have to make it to heaven. There's no other alternative.
-
You see, if you miss Heaven, if you miss that marker,
-
you'll make it to hell.
-
You see the Apostle Paula.
-
At some point he compared these people to the Israeliza
-
there different older this years.
-
He compared them to east All who for one muscle
-
of spread and a little super sold his first ride.
-
And these members of this church had come to a
-
place as you and I have where they were enduring
-
the hardship and sufferinger that for some reason, rather than marching.
-
On them and going in the floor of the river
-
of Gracia.
-
We've find them backing up there and being caught in
-
the back washes of life.
-
You see, they were reverting Bacca to Judas, and that's
-
what we see today.
-
So many people are reverting baka to former denominations and
-
former religions, former habits and former hobbies and distracting.
-
Them from going to the House of of God and
-
leading a productive and approutal life in the Lord.
-
Why didn't these people keep up the reward of heaven
-
at the forefront of their mind? Because of you could
-
be easily distracted. Now he can go back to the
-
beginning of time and look at Mother Evil and find
-
out just how easy mankind, that womankind can be distracted her.
-
It was because of certain distractions of these Christians were
-
reverting baka to ju dayism. I want to ask you
-
this morning, and what is it in your life that's
-
coming on in your mind that's bringing a returning baka
-
onto those states of yesterday and yesteryear.
-
Imagine with me picture.
-
Of the imagery a Christian man and a Christian woman.
-
People like you people the rut shot of that about
-
going a church in former Danza out they are not
-
feeling so happy about going to church. And people that
-
had been black Roster had radically transformed. Why they're even
-
read by the how to use as christer losing a
-
taste of her and the knowing and saul that he
-
was doing wos in long colt Or the present has
-
but seeing they find them supper now it's slaved to
-
their pastor, they find them supper, wondered her. In the
-
wilderness of of what actually Russia, miserader, you see.
-
The devil man. He has an ability to tell us
-
some about Pastor in a way that wouldn't make us
-
want to go there. And I want you to know
-
they use for myself should.
-
Have college about what happened in the wilderness and these
-
people they shouldn't thought her about the sacrificial lamps, the
-
sacrificial coature, the bullets and the dancer. Then they should
-
have realized her. Why would I tear her from Jesus
-
to a good time? Why would I tell her from.
-
The thing till the dune and call from the alcohol.
-
Why would I tell that from church for to a ball?
-
Then why would I tear that from.
-
Life un to death?
-
The question is why I already never knew the answer
-
the why the hell turned back?
-
Then I wouldn't gonna understand why he never turn back there.
-
But I, for me, I must not turn that.
-
It's so easy on Sunday morning to say, you know what,
-
it's gonna take an act of God to get me
-
out of bed.
-
It's gonna take an act of God to get me
-
to go to church, because any and everything.
-
That can happen will happen. You see, We're gonna put
-
nothing between us and our God. Sister, how when I
-
think of people were deciding to revert back to animal sacrifice,
-
I shudder at the thought of it, Brother Caleb. Would
-
I think of Eve turning away from the fellowships with
-
the Lord onto a serpent in a tree?
-
I shudder?
-
I have to think of it when I think of
-
all of these things that people have turned to away
-
from the Church. To me, I know that our founding
-
fathers would turn over in their graves if they.
-
Could see the spiritual condition and the privity of this country.
-
What we need are few good men and a few
-
good women to make a priority again of going to the.
-
House of God and getting it an altar of prayer
-
and getting consecrated and.
-
The murder and committed to the things of God. Then
-
and only then, when only see a healing in our land,
-
Then and old be there.
-
When we see revival breakport in America and we can
-
get in that.
-
River of revival and that river of Gracia.
-
You see, as these people walked out of the church
-
that went back home to animal sacrifice, they were sending
-
a signal to everyone around the worl that chrisser sacrificer
-
was not sufficient. And you know what will happen if
-
brother Howell, what's the Jesus really than to go in
-
the church on Sunday morning.
-
I wanted to go to the battle game.
-
I wanted to go to the beer jarge. I wanted
-
to go to the movie house. Really go into God's house.
-
I will seeing now the signal to this world and
-
is b it's not sufficient and its prayers try, it's
-
not sufficient. I cannot make it without feeling the prayerss
-
of God. I cannot make it. Beout resting her her
-
Sunday in the presentent a Lord.
-
God amaze half ended Jesus must have been, was Apostle
-
Paul to not the burden of the Lord?
-
How can this be happening? How in the world after
-
they knelt.
-
Down in an altar of prayer with their burdens, and
-
as they left him there and walked away after that,
-
how can they turn again to things that never brought victory,
-
things that never brought.
-
Satisfaction, and things that never brought fulfillment.
-
I don't know about y'all, but thirty one years ago,
-
when I went into that little country church and set
-
on the back pee, I was looking for something that satisfied.
-
And I'll say this, the things of this world they
-
did not satisfy.
-
As been a letterman, athlete, as been someone that did
-
good in school, as been someone that didn't have an
-
enemy in the world. Somehow those steel I was miserable.
-
The things of this world they did not satisfy.
-
And I want you to know.
-
The blood, the bulls and goats and rams and doves,
-
it never did satisfied.
-
Oh come, I said, it never did satisfy. The anger
-
of Karda. It never did call the wrath of Karda.
-
What a peace the lord of the things that appalled
-
him was when his precious son climbed up on that
-
crosser and he gave us life, and every answer of
-
that top blood tripped.
-
Down his body and down that crosser. That come on, now,
-
I'm telling you that thing that you feel like, well
-
satisfy you.
-
It will never satisfied. That I said, it will never
-
satisfy it.
-
You fake alcohol, were satisfied. You can't trumping this away.
-
We're satisfied.
-
You ain't this and now we're satisfied. And they never
-
never satisfied. How did they think how to feel in
-
liberty and freedom and Jesus that they needed to go
-
back to a place where they participated in animal sacrifice.
-
When they reverted back to animal sacrifices, they were saying
-
the blood of animals was enough to atone for the
-
sins of humanity.
-
Most people have a problem when they're thinking. Most people
-
have a problem with they're thinking. When you think about
-
all of the religions of the world.
-
A lot of the world's population, the Earth's population anyway,
-
shoving something billion people.
-
I mean, they're desperately religious.
-
They kneel down before idols, they commit idolatry, brother Jesse.
-
They'll worship wooden adols, they'll worship raisen images, they'll worship this,
-
and they worshiped that. And what's so sad is they're
-
so distracted by those people that have put those olives
-
before them. They're so dangerously diverted and dangerously distracting that
-
they just go on following blind leaders and they end
-
up because of their distractions in the ditcher. I want
-
you to know there's a problem with a human mind.
-
There's a problem with our thinking.
-
We feel like we have have been educated in the
-
schools of higher learning.
-
But when you see the things people bow to, when
-
you see the things that people take the need.
-
To the wise men the mending the time of Medicanisser,
-
a world of white emperor. They came and.
-
Rulingly because of prestige and power and pre eminence. They
-
now the governors of their answer. They bow to an
-
imature of the emperor. Never Conniesser.
-
I want you to know them. There were three men
-
that will not being caught up in the back. So
-
we come on now they're in the back. Loss a
-
sweet labor.
-
Oh God, you will see it now all the world.
-
It's so, it's so deceited. Somebody better lake upper and
-
realize that.
-
Man, it's this when they religious.
-
More than a religion, we need a relationship, a personal relationship,
-
more than a water wide religion.
-
We need a personal relationship.
-
Brother Nathaniel, I can't imagine across the Paul receiving word.
-
There's some reverting back to this mindset, and he would
-
say this didn't happen overnight. Them grievous wolfs will come
-
in church. They have come into churches across the America.
-
Who would have thought that people could have been let
-
back into animal sacrifice in relations chifter number two in
-
verse number eighteen and cent us for if I build
-
it in the things which I destroyed, I make myself
-
a transgressor. That's a willful act of obedience and a
-
will for act of disobedience. Do y'all hear that if
-
I personally building the things I'm destroyed, I'm making myself
-
a transgressor. When they went out there and put the
-
rope around the neck of the sheep, and they led
-
them to the temple, and when the priest put his
-
hand on that knaifa, they were building a den de
-
everyway thing I'm telling you there are things.
-
That will distract us.
-
While reading the Book of Galatians this morning, I noticed
-
it right off the bat. The great Apostle Paul is saying,
-
I preach to others the same thing I preach to you,
-
But somehow evil influences we can outsiders, have come in
-
and distracted you, the believers, from enjoying your righteousness and liberty.
-
And Jesus Christ, you.
-
See our righteousness, sir, he says, filthy rags.
-
But I'm been trolling a gracil.
-
This morning because of his righteousness. Sir, I feel clean
-
because he's holding. Then I can be holding because he's confect.
-
I can be perfect if I just.
-
Walk her in the custom of life, if I don't
-
just surfing on the river. He o't gray, Sir. I'm
-
telling you gotta.
-
Tell her with the food.
-
That's your feeling in your safe man, you wanta go
-
with the hurting. No user, come, I just signed. I'm
-
not gonna raise my side right like everybody else does.
-
I wanted to be different, man. I want people to
-
know they're different. I want people to know.
-
That they're chill, to know they're the living God. This
-
wasn't a luck of the all I didn't draw the
-
sort of strong This wasn't an accident.
-
It was a deliberate mood to keep my sons from
-
me and drug at it.
-
It was a strategic move to keep them away from
-
the ego courses.
-
Honey world, you would be a judge. Wasn't a good decision?
-
Don't you feel like these people were making a bad
-
choice when they decided to go back?
-
Could y'all imagine the pastor how after thirty one years
-
told us children, you know what, we get.
-
It that way for all of your years, all of
-
your lives.
-
But that's for me and youma. We're going back to
-
our former lifestyle. You know what, in moments, the Hallow
-
family would be fractured. In moments, yestimonments would be shattered.
-
You could give it three to five years and half
-
of the Hallow family wouldn't be destroyed.
-
Oh come on now, And that's why Apostle Paul knew
-
I got to deal with this situation because of little
-
living living at the whole Lump asked to make her
-
down there at the bakehouse. I woke up this morning,
-
reach twenty exactly am I preach on it tonight?
-
It was confection a confederation talking about a bakery, a
-
confederacy of bankers. I thought, maybe I need to start
-
a company called Confectionery Missionary or confection Confederation. Get a conglomeracy,
-
a baker's around this area that's willing to.
-
Make goods from their house and the.
-
Dyspatch of drivers to deliver. You know, everybody's always got
-
time for cheesecake. I don't know if I'm gonna preacher
-
on that here tonight, but there should be sweet tans
-
in pedda tata in every township, in every rural church,
-
in every big city church. This should be sweet things,
-
Kennan from a t B, not pedal contusion.
-
I'm talking about now, no last year scale bread.
-
They're acting to be a confederation, eh me, And oh God,
-
they won't Preacher God a gaugerator words O God, so
-
Apostle Paul implores these people, and he gives all these
-
books of the Bible.
-
We've got to go back to what matters.
-
You know what, brother Jesse, the moment your mother and
-
I decided to turn back would be the moment we
-
find man's and bonds on our wrists and ankles again.
-
You see evil influences had penetrated the minds and the
-
gatherings of these precious people.
-
That breaks my heart. That's my burden this morning. Yeah,
-
we got about eighty here, but it breaks my heart
-
to think that one or two amongst us might be
-
getting pulled back into the things of yes here.
-
All you gotta do is put your mind on it.
-
That's what the Lord said to his servant. He said,
-
if any man put his hand to the plow and
-
looking back, he is not fed for the kingdom.
-
All these evil people wanted to undo everything Jesus had
-
done for these people.
-
Thirty one years ago, I found out all of my friends,
-
and I had plenty of them, didn't want anything to
-
do with church.
-
They didn't want anything to do with faithful attendance. They
-
certainly didn't want anything to do with.
-
Having a personal relationship to the Lord that required us
-
to do a few things according to scripture and Brother Tyler,
-
there was some of them that sent out to deliberately
-
undo the things that God was doing in my life,
-
including at eight point thirty on Sunday morning, you want
-
to go to the fleet market in a forty five
-
on Sunday morning, you want to go down there to
-
Bob Evans and have breakfast.
-
I'm telling you, if you can be distracted, you will be.
-
Should I slow down as go to the house or
-
should we keep on preaching.
-
It's sad to think that people were coming into that congregation,
-
right into that physical location, that geographic locations, finding the
-
impus with one person, and that was the undo what
-
God was doing.
-
So when you don't tell somebody, hey, just what.
-
God's a moving in my life, God's a blessing in
-
my life, you better be careful who you give that
-
information to.
-
I heard of the trunk that got delivered instantly, not
-
through a process, not progressively, instantly delivered from.
-
Alcohol livesm as He held in.
-
An altar of pear and said, Jesus, I believe your
-
blood can cleanse me from alcoholism. He went to the
-
bars and told everybody about his confusion, his conversion, and
-
brother Philip.
-
His conversion turned the confusion because of he went to
-
that best friend's house. What the bars could not do
-
that best friend could sometimes even our own spouses, our
-
own children.
-
Come on, now, He went to that best friend's housing,
-
and that best friend he split something across the table.
-
He said, no, I can't do that. I got saved.
-
I'm delivered from alcoholism.
-
I'm no longer spending my baby's built by holding alcohol.
-
I'm no longer coming home asking questions of what I
-
did last night. I'm no longer a drunken fool and
-
a drunk and stupor.
-
And the guy just consistently kept sliding up that drink
-
across the table, and one day said, well, I guess
-
I can do it socially for old time's sake.
-
You know, one brother, Philip, he died a drunkard. I
-
said he died a drunkard. Not here, everybody. It went
-
back to animal psychopathect got back through a blood on Jesuas.
-
I'm telling you to be pastime if you don't get
-
caught up in a bacteria, a false doctrine up here.
-
Seeing her, Well, come on, now, the bacterier, it's real.
-
I said that it's taking the bacterial sin. He is real.
-
There's a bacteria.
-
Now it's a long but now you might not believe it,
-
but I read it some years ago. I drink after
-
my life, and I think you drink after a couple
-
of our kids. That we're not prone to backwash maybe
-
maybe not. I'm not sure, but I read years ago
-
that sharing drinks can spread disease, and I don't have
-
a germ phobia.
-
But when it comes to spiritual things, I can tell
-
you that sharing drinks can spread disease.
-
And Jesus doesn't share with nobody.
-
The mindset of this warped society of seven million people
-
is a worship anything that makes you feel better about yourself.
-
But Jesus was different, and Jesus was exclusive. All the
-
non inclusivity of Jesus when he said, I am the Way,
-
I am the Truth, I am the Life. And Jesus
-
also said.
-
There is no other God before me and you. There
-
is to be no one between you and I. Oh,
-
come on now, Jesus, ain't go share you blood vice.
-
There's influence, Jesus, they gonna share you know different, then
-
you'll share your child who the people? Come on now,
-
I'm telling somebody.
-
In this suldent, Look, how can you save your long time?
-
When get love?
-
The ego influences love this Lord. Jesus said, if any
-
man love the Lord, the Lord of the Father, it's
-
not in him. He said, how will the world know
-
that you love me? And that you have love toward
-
one another. He said, you love me when you keep
-
my commandments. He said, my commandments are not griefs. My
-
burden is not heavy, My burden is light. Them vices
-
are thirty one.
-
Years ago, no longer have a stranglehold on me, I said,
-
them biases are thirty one years ago, no longer have
-
a stranglehold on me.
-
And some of you came from Egypt spiriting, some of
-
you that have have moved here from places that.
-
You've called Egypt.
-
And now as you're not care for because of contacts
-
friend or foe, you will find yourself.
-
Being caught up in the currents. A backwash. I'm preaching
-
on the bacteria, a backwash.
-
Don't slip into your old ways and living to satisfy
-
your own desires. I felt like saying that again, don't
-
b don't swip back into your old ways.
-
I was trying to satisfy your own desires.
-
Can't nobody do me like Jesus? And the church said,
-
hey man, I can't afford to go back. I can't
-
afford to start missing church. I can't afford to start
-
Rather going to the lake and border skiing and knee
-
board rather than going to church. I can't afford to
-
go back to horseback ride rather than go into church.
-
I think I raised a howl with kids, with what's
-
seven to ten horses, and I've spent a lot of
-
money because I loved horseback riding.
-
I did it when I was a kid.
-
My room was decorated before it was popular to decorate
-
little boy's room. Every little whatnot I could get was
-
a little statue of a horse, a picture of a horse,
-
if we went to good Will and I could talk
-
mom into getting it.
-
If I had a huge own money, I had little
-
tiny you know them little tiny toys that you get
-
it trackedor supplying things and horses all in there. I
-
don't know what kind of vice it is, but it's
-
a vice. One it keeps you out of God's house.
-
And when it keeps you out of that place, brother
-
Tessey talked about this morning, it's advice, even if it's
-
a job.
-
The cricks and preaching better now, I'm preaching you just
-
have to be careful. You have to keep yourself the
-
bobles that keep yourself unspotted from the world.
-
I remember the first time I developed a phobia back washed.
-
Y'all ready for this. One of my uncles, it was
-
about ten years younger than his siblings.
-
We were all sitting into my granddaddy's house and we
-
had some I guess there were my cousins.
-
He had some cousins, some nieces and nephews that were
-
younger than me, significantly younger. And I was a teenager and.
-
I watched one of them little nieces.
-
He has a little niece run up there to him
-
to offer him her sippy cut, and he pushed that
-
sippy cup away, and he said, Uncle, so and so
-
don't like me, no backwash. And I've thought about that
-
a lot of times. And somebody said, oh, it's just
-
a little child, they.
-
Don't mean any harm. Drinking to make them feel better. Participate.
-
They brought that cup to me and I put it
-
to the side of my mouth and fame to be
-
drinking from it.
-
Right.
-
Oh come, I ain't even gonna pretend to be drinking
-
from a Seward's pop of sin. We're gonna make it
-
clear for these children right here where we stand.
-
Oh come on, now, the Harold Boars didn't end up
-
locked this right here over now. We were praying and
-
we were finding our way free life has lived by
-
the Holy Ghost. You don't stumble into something like this.
-
The oars living in this world are stacked up against us.
-
We got five sons. Oh thank god, I'll fire saying
-
sure if we would have lost one God, if you
-
don't contrailer outside influence, if you don't come on, I
-
didn't block them in.
-
You see them looks. You overpower it with the clearing
-
the church.
-
You overpower the back floor and the backlass life, the
-
word left with the power for.
-
The Holy Ghost. Talk with your services without continue losson
-
my father Bollard, you can push up away the backlas.
-
So everybody gave him uncle hard time about that. Come on, man,
-
take a sip of that Hawaiian punch. And he looked
-
at that and he contemplated it, and he said, no,
-
I'm telling you that about especially.
-
Back ten twenty some years ago. He said, that's about
-
it's definitely letting stuff.
-
Come back to it.
-
He said, I know it's fucking little, but it's definitely
-
coming back through it. And they said, oh no, it ain't.
-
Neither new scientific technology has changed that. There's no way
-
there's any impurities.
-
What's in that cup? He grabbed that cup he's a realist.
-
By the little handle, y'all, every when sip the cups
-
had handles, herd plastic nozzles, her plastic spiles.
-
I'm telling my age now. And he pulled it up
-
and held it up for everybody. He said, you got
-
to lift it up a little higher. Look what's flashing
-
around in the bottom of that cup.
-
And brother Nathan, if you've got the gag reflex but
-
that's what I did. I don't have a gag reflexer.
-
I thought, he is not kidding.
-
There is eminems, there's goldfish and all kinds of stuff
-
there on in the bottom of that cup.
-
And he said, when you turn it up, he said,
-
that stuff goes to the bottom. And oh, my Jesus,
-
are y'all listening to me? Oh, come on, don't crucifi
-
the prea trip and don't cruisna file of Churchill.
-
And they try to keep the inside of and a
-
cup cleaner and a content they are inside of the
-
cup cleaner.
-
Tell us somebody that you better think about the bacteria,
-
what backwash?
-
You better think about them friends of yesteryear, they got
-
yours able even family members of sometimes when they're never
-
left the tim the ant you all of the kuna
-
the God has daughter.
-
Can'stal enough be t for the bacteria? What back cross?
-
Paul worked so hard, sister would established in a church
-
with the people that would sing.
-
My tears flowing down their face. Can't nobody do me
-
like Jesus? Can't nobody do like Jesus? But Brother Philip,
-
they're going back, They're going back, going back. How many
-
people in this building this morning are going back? You
-
better make up your mind. You're not turning back. Even
-
influence says that him penetrated the minds of those that
-
have gathered in that local assembly. If you look at
-
our text, it says, be not cared about with diverse
-
and strange doctrines.
-
For it is a good thing that the heart be
-
established with grace. I want to say it again.
-
It is a good thing that the heart be established
-
with grace. It's a good thing to be in church.
-
It's a good thing to be participating in this movement
-
of grace, which is the institution of the church. Whether
-
there's somebody preaching the word of God, somebody singing under annoying,
-
or somebody saying Amen under the annoying. He said, it
-
is a good thing, that the heart be established with grace.
-
Not one meets which have not profited them that have
-
been occupied there.
-
And let me ask you something. Did your former lifestyle
-
profit you in any way?
-
It did not?
-
Why did you come to church anyway? Sister would? You've
-
been saved about thirty two years, Brother Philip, you've been saving?
-
Now.
-
How old are you when you got saved? Truly converted?
-
Eight years old, I think, Brother Roquep, how old were
-
you when you got converted?
-
Truly converted? No more drugging after that?
-
Huh?
-
Instantly, no more drugging.
-
At twenty years of age, you knelt down in and
-
all too the ruben gorid blood of Jesus. It's not
-
of your own works, it's none of your own standards,
-
it's none of your own holiness. It's note of your
-
own righteousness, but the grace of God, justified by his grace,
-
his goodness, his faith, The pure blood of Jesus cleansed you,
-
delivered you from them vices.
-
It's a good thing that the heart be established with grace.
-
It's a good thing that I'm not relied on animal sacrifice.
-
It's a good thing that the heart be established by grace.
-
Not with meats which have not profited them, that have
-
been occupied therein. It's hard to believe that some of
-
these people were finding spiritual comfort strength of what they consumed.
-
I almost feel spiritual on Sunday afternoon.
-
When I go to the Cactus vax and consume and
-
in jest, but it ain't.
-
Spiritual or brother starret.
-
When I feel full of capacity, I feel blessed so
-
and I tell you people may barbecue joints their religion,
-
and I just felt something right there.
-
I love Rome City with the best of you, but
-
I'll go to after one o'clock off Sunday.
-
I'll go to Rip City every day in a week
-
if I want to, but it won't be dearing the
-
Gospel out of it. And don't women in this house.
-
I'm telling you, I'm trying to protect you. I'm trying
-
to help you. You could get caught in a whirlpool
-
of distractions. Dangerous distractions will pull us.
-
Out of church.
-
When I think about this brotherhood, it's hard to believe
-
that these people felt.
-
Spiritual comfort and food and what they consumed. They felt
-
secure spiritually because of.
-
What they ate drank Naturally, I guess there will always
-
be a temptation to revert back to previous states, previous
-
states of mind, previous states of practice, previous states of lifestyle.
-
Unfortunately, we have witnessed this take place throughout the years.
-
How many of you seen people that started out good
-
and they ended up in shambles.
-
Apostle Paul addressed the early church with these words, he said,
-
you did run?
-
Well? Who did hinder you?
-
In another place? He said, who who bewitched you? People
-
will undo what God's doing. When we came here, it
-
was eighteen years ago to established a church in this area.
-
When we came here, I was amazed at how many
-
people that just sought out to undo what God was.
-
Doing while we were minding our business, trying to do
-
the things of God. Brother, when I couldn't believe the
-
outside influence that was penetrating, trying to undo and dissolve
-
what God is doing.
-
Do you know how to think they will try to
-
undo what God is doing in your lives. Not everybody
-
is excited about what God is doing. But who is
-
excited about it is Jesus.
-
And that is enough.
-
It's enough for me to know that God is findful
-
of us, to know that God is visiting us to
-
know that when God smiles on our faces and joy
-
in our heart, who cares what the world thinks about it?
-
Who cares? I know what satisfies me. I know what
-
makes me happy. You can see a family finally caw
-
the will of God in a.
-
Church selection and let's say I'm happy there, And immediately
-
they start getting fulk calls.
-
From people trying to undo what got there? Like when
-
do my business become your business? Good news travels fast,
-
but bad news travels faster.
-
Backlash, confusion, backlash, confusion.
-
Brother Nathaniel, pray for my brother. I got a burden
-
of priest to somebody this morning. In Paul's day, some were.
-
Reverting back to their religious practices and ideologies, And in
-
our day, many are attempting to go back to pleasures.
-
They are the Word of God says, they'll love pleasure
-
more than they love God. They'll love their habits and hobbies.
-
Who's got habits of life?
-
I got one.
-
I go to Duncan Doda every day, sometimes I go
-
twice a day. How many of you be honest? You
-
got a habit of life? You got a routine? Are
-
there any creatures of habit?
-
I got my pen in a certain spot in that office,
-
and over there by engineer in office.
-
I got my monitor and a certain spot and a
-
certain angle. If you bump at one degree, I turn it.
-
I got my papers. Ninety degrees perpendicular to the edge
-
of that desk. Is anybody else's creatures a.
-
Habit come on night. But there's some things we will
-
never turn back to if we're to make it to heaven.
-
If we're to make it to heaven, Brother road Gap
-
told us this morning on the rivers of Revival.
-
During a recent series of services.
-
God dealt with me to speak to this people on
-
the purpose of.
-
The tributary, the stream, the branch of the brook, and
-
the river. It's all to flow to the sea.
-
For when a man loses his purpose in life, what
-
does he feel he needs to live?
-
He's the reason I live.
-
There's twenty five howls of the eighty in this bill
-
the people.
-
There's twenty five howels. There's another twenty five reasons for
-
me to live.
-
But you know what, when I look past that, I
-
see eighty reasons.
-
For my purpose in life. If I need to find
-
purpose in life, I look right here and I see something.
-
I see something I see precious souls, and that I'm
-
preaching to somebody this morning.
-
You're torn with something in your mind, and you.
-
Better let it go, because as you think on it,
-
that heart's.
-
Gonna turn after it.
-
You think on it too long, that heart's gonna turn
-
after it. I'm gonna say that one more time. You
-
dwell on that too long, that heart's gonna go after it.
-
And when the heart goes after it, the body and
-
far behind. But all of the tributaries they flow and
-
they keep moving.
-
In that tributary behind our office, the water level rises
-
and it falls.
-
One day, truly, brother said, you witnessed this.
-
One day it could be six inches deep, another day
-
it could be four feet deep. One day it could
-
be twelve inches deep, another day it could be six
-
feet deep. Brother Nathanie'll make a residency in that beautiful
-
tributary whose water elevation's rise and fall is the biggest
-
strike turtle you've ever seen in your life. Yesterday morning,
-
brother Jonathan and his sister Hannah were selling us some goats,
-
turning a pretty good profit.
-
Cleared about three hundred and fifty dollars on their goats.
-
Being industrious and flipping goats, Brother Jesse, sister Hannah, your sister,
-
and my daughter.
-
Send me a picture. She said, Daddy, the turtle has.
-
Come out of his environment, and she showed me that
-
he was contemplating acrossing the street.
-
Why did the rabbit cross the road? Why did the
-
chicken cross the road? Why did the deer cross the road?
-
Why did the Christian go back to Judaeis? And why
-
did why did the turtle leave his environment?
-
They said he crossed that little road there. Brother Wood
-
said he fought that fence until he found the opening.
-
Somebody's fighting the fence. If your heart's already out there,
-
you're back on a barstool.
-
You got a need on your hand, already in your mind,
-
or you.
-
Got a former flame, or you got.
-
Whatever it is, former lifestyle, former location, former identity. I
-
had to leave my identity as an athlete, not because
-
it was sentil to go shoot some battle with the boys.
-
What because it controlled me? Right? I feel the Holy
-
ghost in this place, which go to the house.
-
If you'll look to her, I could bect to and
-
plead with the individual I'm preaching to a little older
-
which all allow that?
-
Or should we go to the house if I continue
-
to preach it. It's on your choice. It's on your decision.
-
Thank you, brother.
-
I don't want to hold any too Lord, But that
-
turtle knew not to get out of his environment.
-
You know, not to get out of the house of God.
-
You know you know where God brought you to. I
-
doing the Holy coast in.
-
This they said he was last seeing on the other side,
-
near the main highway fighting that fits, says the wood.
-
What he don't know.
-
There's another opening, another gate on that fix that leads
-
to his asstuck. It ain't just a little road that
-
the car passes through every nan and then there's a highway.
-
Brother Jeremiah said.
-
A man entered that saleslope and by a building from us,
-
and he said, nice stripe a neck turtle you got there,
-
he said, I almost killed.
-
Him, almost ran over him as he was cut through
-
the gate. You don't even have to get out there
-
and lose your life. You can backslide on the Peu.
-
You can get called and backwashed right into Peo. Oh
-
for the Holy ghost.
-
I need somebody to pray for me.
-
I'm pulling for somebody the reason why you have felt
-
what you have felt, and you felt that drawing. That's
-
just the goodness and the grace of God. That's the
-
love of God. And that's what Paul was telling these people.
-
You better be careful for backwashed, whether Jesse when you
-
come to the piano this morning. I'm here today to
-
warning this people appending to him and disaster. Backwash occurs
-
when someone reverses the flow of water.
-
Young people, it's easy to be swept away backwards.
-
In a way forever by things. They will begin to
-
consume you on a daily basis. Today I see people
-
that are bombarded in their minds. Where the road app
-
for the advertisements. You can't even open the app for
-
your Bible now without advertisements. I told Sister House, sometimes
-
I have a problem, get to my hard copy of
-
the Bible.
-
This one's well worn.
-
Brothers. I'm not saying this to boast, but delete by example.
-
This one's well worn.
-
Because sometimes I open my Bible app. Sister House, we're
-
walking in a restaurant. God lays a scripture on my heart.
-
You and I are talking and walking.
-
Right and now Sister Rachell get bombarded with advertisements on
-
my Bible app. And I told Sister House that I'm
-
about to delete this thing where I'm going to go
-
ahead and pay to do away with.
-
The distractions, because when my mind's on the word of God,
-
I open the app and I have to fight ads, advertisements.
-
To get what my mind was on. You know the
-
purpose of that to distract you away from your purpose.
-
Let's stand this morning.
-
This message is to pull you back into focus. The
-
devil's trying to distract you from your purpose, young people.
-
The incessant bombardment of information and ideas offered by this.
-
World can bring forth back watch in a hurry, and
-
I see a backward movement in our country. It doesn't
-
please the Father? Will it disappoints you? Will I hear
-
it in your conversations before an after church? You think
-
American needs revival. We do need revival. We're called up
-
in the back forth.
-
Paul warn't followers of Jesus Christ against teaching that would
-
call spiritual backwash. Let me be clear, it could appear
-
to be true, but it could turn your heart in
-
the wrong direction. We must guard against this very thing.
-
Paul was telling these people to go with the flow
-
of grace, go with the goodness of God, and close.
-
And I'd like to read our third.
-
Text.
-
Our context was Glatians four eight and eleven.
-
Is that Paul asked his teacher why they wanted to
-
go back to the week of the beverly elements.
-
Of the world.
-
Why do you want to go back to it? Do
-
you really want to go back to it?
-
I want to ask some of you, do you really
-
want to go back to those hangovers? Do you really
-
want to go back to those moments of misery? Do
-
you really want to go back when you don't.
-
Know how to explain yourself for your actions.
-
The night before?
-
Did he really want to go back? Brother Pip, thirty
-
one years ago, your daddy came to an altar and pray,
-
I left some things in my past. Your mother left
-
some things in her past, hoping that we could build
-
a better life for our children and grandchildren.
-
The system moving.
-
Unfortunately, it breaks my heart to report those backsliders that
-
were filled with their own ways as the Bible said
-
they would be, they got caught up to backwash and
-
it broke them. Inn In why my Daddy's heart, Paul's
-
heart was broken because of the backwash he was taking
-
place in the church while the river of grace was
-
coming through it. Was a BackFlash taking them out to
-
church doors. Let's paw our heads this morning.
-
Baby, if you're in this building and you say, preacher,
-
there's been a current of compromise and coming in the
-
world inness.
-
And pulling me back, pulling my mind away from my
-
purpose what God has put him my heart.
-
And I've been tempted to share things that I once
-
