Leaving The Lost Hope Slope - Bro Jeremy Howell 11-10-2024

He turned with me to the Book of Romans. Made

direct your attention to the fifteenth chapter in the thirteenth verse.

It is so good to be among people of light,

precious faith, to be worshiping the Lord and the beauty

of holiness and the spirit of unity. I thank God

for this. I'm thankful for what happened recently in the

presidential election. I've been thinking him daily, many times each day,

for President elect Donald Trump's seismic victory.

There is no doubt whatsoever.

The projection showed him easily over the threshold needed to

win the US presidential race he.

Wanted by a large margin. He sure did.

I looked last night Arizona slonged to Donald J. Trump,

who just took it by landslide because of the prayers

of God's people and because of the Americans speaking up

and standing up and speaking out praise the Lord, being bold,

standing for what they believed in, standing for what was right.

I'm thankful for what God has done. I'm thankful for

what God has done for our country. I'm thankful for

what God is doing for our church family. We miss

Brother Nathaniel and his precious family today. Also, we miss

brother Giddons and his precious family. And also we miss

brother Christian Wood and his family.

But we still have a good crowd.

If you could see it from my perspective, stand upgrow

on the platform for just a couple of seconds, you

would see that God has been good to us, and

that the Elijah.

Syndrome isn't necessary this morning. We're not alone. We're not

the only one serving God. There's been times that some

of us I've wondered such things simply because we weren't

into presence of our brothers and sisters. It was said

of the great referenceist Martin Luther that there came a

time in his life when he entered despair because of

his stand and his position against the pope.

He felt all alone, all alone, and.

Brother Jesse, they said he entered a very dark period

of despair. I said at one point he even wondered

if he had misled tens of thousands of people, and

personally he felt responsible for their eternal destination, and he wondered,

did I miss it?

Did I miss their?

Brother?

Martin Luther? One day I'll get to tell you face

to face.

I appreciate you leading that Reformation.

I appreciate you leading all those nuns out of those convents.

I appreciate you leading people from worshiping the pope into

worshiping God. It's better to obey God than men.

Thank God.

But Brother Martin Luther, he got so discouraged and fell

into despair because he felt so alone that here this morning,

there's no reason for anybody's spirits to be darkened, for

no one to be feeling dreary, no one to be

feeling damned or doomed. Wen't know where our destination is.

That's Heaven. I'm looking forward to going there.

Brother Samuel, Ephesians, Chapter number two, Verse number twelve. Brother Jesse, Acts,

Chapter number twenty seven, you will be reading verses number

fourteen through twenty four, Acts, Chapter number twenty seven, Verses

number fourteen through twenty four. Brother Samuel, Ephesians, Chapter number two,

and verse number twelve.

Would you read that, Brother Samuel.

And at that time you were without Christ, being alien

from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the convinced

of the promise, having no hope without God.

In the world. Amen.

How many of you understand you're not without hope, but

there was a time in your life when you were

without hope. I guarantee you there was the thankful, thankful

this morning, so thankful that I'm not without hope, and

that you're not without hope, Brother Jesse, Acts Chapter number

twenty seven, Verses number fourteen through twenty four. But not

long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called

your rapod On. And when the ship was caught and

could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive,

and running under a certain island, which is called Clauda,

we had much work to come by the boot, which

when we had taken up, they used helps undergirding the ship,

and fearing lest they should fall into the quick sands,

straight sail. And so we're driven, and we being exceedingly

tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship,

and the third day we cast out with our own

hands the tackling of the ship. And when neither sun

nor stars in many days of peter and no small

tempests lay on us, all hope that we should deceive

was then taken away. But after long abstinence, Paul stood

forth in the midst of the ship and said, sirs,

you should have hearkened unto me and not have loosed

for crete and to have gained this harm and lost.

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer,

for there shall be no loss of any man's life

among you, but of the ship. And there stood by

me this night, the Angel of God, who I am

and who I serve, saying, fear not, Paul, thou must

be brought before Caesar, and lou God hath given Thee.

All them that sail with Thee, praise the Lord. Let's

stand for the reading of our golden text this morning.

Oh.

In Chaptain number fifteen and verse number thirteen, the Bible says,

now the God of Hope filled you with all joy

and peace in believing that you may abound in hope

through the power of the Holy Ghost. As I was

praying and seeking the Lord, that phrase came to me,

that you may abound in hope. And it seemed like

I heard the Holy Ghost whispering in the corners of

my soul repeatedly, over and over again, these words, an

overflowing measure of hope, an overflowing measure of hope. And

then as I continue to seek the Lord, to see

out the Holy Ghost. Titled this sermon leaving the Lost

Hope Slope. Leaving the Lost Hope Slope. Truly, those that

were on board the ship with a Great Apostle Paul.

At some point felt like hope was lost.

There might be one or two people in this building

this morning that feel like your hope is gone. But

I don't feel like.

That's the case. That I want to encourage until this point.

And may God help me to preach my burden that

He's placed upon my heart. Would you pray with me,

Heavenly Father, we love it, We praise you. We thank

you for the opportunity to come into your house with

people of my precious faith. I thank you God for

your spirit that we have felt. I thank you Lord

for your mindfulness. I thank you for the visitation.

Lord.

I pray that you would be with this thy people

and want their ears to hear. Set a guard at

their ears and help them to hear the things that

you would have them to hear, nothing more less. And

on me, God, set a guard in my mouth and

help me to say the things you would have me

to say, nothing more or less. I pray God that

these sayings would go below the shoulders, Let them saturate the.

Spirit and the heart.

God, help us to hear and to heed, and maybe

we debark this place joyfully and sorrowfully and full of

hope in Jesus's name. And the church said, Amen, as

you're being seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,

hope thou in God. Amen our text again Romans, chapter

number fifteen and verse number thirteen. It seems to me

that this is somewhat a benedictory prayer. It goes like this, Now,

the God of Hope fill you with all joy and

peace in believing that you may abound in hope through

the power of the Holy Ghost. So how could you

have this hope, this overflowing measure of hope for the

catalysts of the Holy Ghost. Again, think of this Golden

text as a benedictory prayer by the Great Apostle Paul.

Our text is found in a New Testament book of

the Holy Bible, the Book of Romans. The title of

this book can be a not so subtle hint as

to who the address these are. Most of you that

have been in church for any period of time at

all knows that this particular book of the Bible was

directed to Roman Christians and also citizens of Rome. It

was written by the great Apostle Paul. I feel like

he had a burden for the people of Rome. You

will remember that he knew without a doubt that he

was to settle in Rome at some point, and he

would preach to leaders world leaders of the gospel and

the saving grace of our Lord's Savior, Jesus Christ. And

there's no doubt in my heart at all that Apostle

Paul had a hope the revival could come to Rome.

How many of you know there did come a revival

to Rome. How many of you know that there can

be a revival in these last of the last days,

in the very end time. I have hope that there

could be a revival in these United States of America,

even if it's only in the rural parts our country,

Revival in rural America. There was revival in Rome. The

Apostle Paul had hope that things could improve, that people's

situations spiritually could be made better. I feel like we

as Christians should have hope for our nation, And recently

we hoped against hope itself, believing that this outcome would

be as it was.

We hoped for the best. How many of you know

that it was not likely that Donald J.

Trump would become the president of the United States once more,

but against hope, thank god, I'm telling you, there were

a lot of people that felt like it was unlikely,

and they felt like, why should I even bother being

hopeful concerning this presidential election. In fact, a lot of people,

because they did not have hope in their heart, they

did not turn out and vote. And I'm sorry to

report that I wish they had a hoped for things

to turn out as they did. I wish they would

have hoped for the situation to have improved and got better.

You think about it, there's about eighty people here when

everybody's home, And what about this. If everybody in this

building had have been walking in darkness and gloom and despair,

had felt like it was hopeless to cast their vote,

what would the outcome have been? And so we know

that we had hoped for the embitterment of our nation.

We know that the great Apostle Paul had hope for

the Roman Empire and specifically for the city of Rome.

I can tell that Paul had not been to Rome

as yet. As I read this book of the Bible.

I can see that he's hopeful that one day he

will visit Brother Samuel Howell. The people that were there

had souls, just like the people of our nation has souls.

And Apostle Paul knew that the spirit of God was

leading him to these people, so he had heard it

for the people there. And as the reader navigates through

this doctrinal masterpiece, they noticed Paul's name drops many times.

Paul name drops many times. Towards the end of this book,

you will see that Paul unloads a bunch of names

that are on his mind. And so I want you

to know that sometimes God will speak to you by name.

I'm glad that he knows the name of the stars.

I'm glad he knows the number of the stars, and

I'm glad he knows our name, Sister Howard. Seemed to

me like there would have been a lot of people

that wouldn't have really cared anything at all about there

being some sort of spiritual awakening in the city of Rome,

the capital of the Roman Empire. But this man of

God was somewhat hopeful that things could turn for the better.

And so you're holding right now in your hands an

epistle that was directed to Themans and the Christians in Rome.

So this is.

Indicative of Paul having a burden that was given to

him by God. For individuals and teachers, you must have

a burden for your Sunday school class, and preachers, you

must have a burden for souls if you're going to

be effective. And as we read this epistle of the

Great Apostle Paul, we can see that he was concerned

about doctrine, and this is a doctrinal masterpieces. I said

a little earlier, And as you read this first chapter

of the Book of Romans, Paul states his desire to

travel to Rome at some point. In other words, he

hopes to go to Rome soon. There's some of you.

You hope to visit the Great Smoky Mountains soon. There's

some of you you hope to visit Alaska soon. But

this man of God was hopeful that he would visit

the people of Rome, that he would minister to them,

and also brother Jesse. He was hopeful that he would

be able to be in that meeting that was divinely

appointed for him, and it was an appointment with death.

He would stand before the world leaders of that day.

He would try be tried and tested and be found true.

He was hopeful looking forward to an opportunity to be

the ultimate witness as a martyr for the Gospel Satan.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm not exactly hopeful

for my deathbed. I'm not full of hope concerning that situation.

And so this particular book of the Bible is very, very,

very very fond of me. I love it. I appreciate

the contents of this book of the Bible, because at

one point in our early lives, mister Howell was impressed

of the Holy Ghost to read the eighth chapter of

the Book of Romans repeatedly, and she did so until

she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I'm glad

that the Apostle Paul not only had hope for Roman

citizens and Roman Christians, but also had a hope that

these writings would bring forth wonderful things in the heart

of the First Lady of the Bethel Holiness Church. Here

inside of this precious epistle we find the outline for

the great evangelistic tool, the Roman Road. How many of

y'all are familiar with the Romans Road the Plan of Salvation.

It's an outline helping sinners find their way to Jesus.

And the purpose of the Romans Road is to provide

the Christian evangelists and soul winter with an outline to

follow as they witness to others. It is a method

of sharing the Gospel by the showing of fans. How

many people are familiar with the Romans Road. There are

five verses in the Book of Romans that the soul winner.

The Bible said that soul winner must be extremely wise,

and throughout the century soul winners have figured out how

to win souls by using this guideline called the Romans Road. Okay,

so the Romans Road has five stops. Five stops to salvation.

Stop number one is Romans three and twenty three, Stop

number two is Romans five and eight, Stop number three

is Romans six twenty three, Stop number four is Romans

eight and one, and Stop number five is Romans ten

and nine. I remember years ago telling the Howell family

about the Romans Road, and sometime later in a Sunday

school class, as to Howell, took a very long sheet

of paper and she wrote these various stops down on

that sheet of paper and had the little children of

the Sunday school class, go to stop number one and

recite that verse, and they advanced and move forward to

stop number two, and they recited that verson, and they

went on to stop number five. And I remember it

blessing a man named Vernon Golf in a great way

as he listened to these five verses of scripture being

recited by little children. I've heard it said before that

all roads lead to Rome. This expression means that there

are different ways to a desired end. And I want

you to know we're talking about the Roman people. We're

talking about the Epistle, the Book of the Romans. But

concerning that pathway to heaven, there is only one way.

There is not many ways that will lead to that

desired end of our heavenly destination. Now, street preachers, I

want you to think with me. If you have that

Romans road to memorize, are.

You applying it effectively in ministry?

Do you really have an arden for those souls that

you are reaching out to? Are you handing them handfuls

on purpose? And are you being effective? If you're not,

consider praying this thing through again and consider applying the

Romans road to your ministry and incorporating it in every

sermon that you preach when your street side. In fact,

when I was a street preacher, there was not one

time that I was standing in the streets though to speed,

not exactly, but roadside, that I did not repeat over

and over again these five verses of Scripture. It is

a method of sharing and the Gospel. This book is

something that the apostle Paul placed in the hands of

people to keep them from erring within the faith. Okay,

So the purpose of this Book of Romans is to

present the Roman Christians and other Christians with the Gospel

and with also sound doctrine. Again, it is a doctrinal masterpiece.

As you read Romans chapter number seven and Romans chapter

number eight, you will develop and grow mature in the

Lord rapidly. As you read Romans chapter number eight and

Versus number twenty four and twenty five, brothersic. You'll find

that our God has given every one of us hope

because we are saved by Hove. The hope that is

not seen is not hope. For what a man seeth,

why not he yet hope for But if we hope

that we seem not in, do we win patience?

Wait for it?

I feel like there's one or two people in this

building this morning that have allowed themselves to be without hope,

concern and salvation, concern and sanctification concerning the baptism of

the Holy Goosm Brother Jesse. Because they're not abounding in hope,

because they have not perceived an overflowing measure of hope,

they feel it's unnecessary to pursue salvation, sanctification and Holy

Ghost baptism. You see, this Book of Romans can be

used by preachers to persuade sinners to come to God.

This Book of Romans can be used by pastors to

persuade saints to draw nigh and closer.

Unto God, or come on now, I feel like every

person in this building to life. Learn more about the

Book of Rolands. It's been said about the great Reformationist

Martin Luther that the Book of Romans was what changed

his life and what illuminated his conscience to the fact

that men should not be worshiping of mean like the

popa or cardinal or a bishop of somebody else.

For the title, but then they should worship God.

This Book of Romans gave Martin Luther the hope that

we can walk her out of the darkness of oppression

spiritual into the marvelous life of God.

This book is full of words of hope. During the

lifetime of the Apostle Paul and later on during the

days of thing in for Nero, citizens.

Of Roller were able to find the hope in Jesus

because a fun preacher that was hopeful that there could

be a revival.

In Or no matter the circumstances.

No matter how far Nero would take persecution. You see

at the time of this writing that Nero had not

yet come to power, or yet he had not yet

started persecuting Christians beyond measure. But by the Tiler there

would be a season of persecution coming.

And somehow Apostle.

Power prepared them for that because her, or the catalyst

that we read about in our goal in text, through

the power or the Holy Guest this Land was able

to place her just a few chapters of a sacred

book in people's hands, and had let him know.

Even if there comes.

Would begin to take your life, you can still have

hope beyond this life. You will remember that the men

of God said, up in this life, I have heard

How many of you know we lived through Jesus, sir.

We live by him and his words, and we too

they would go ahead and act upon that hope and

believe that they could have a different life than what

they currently had. And Sister whom, I thought about this

prayer request that came in, and I.

Thought, there's probably a lot of preachers Papa signed and

speaking great words of faith. There's probably a lot of

preachers speaking to them about the goodness and the grace

and the love of God.

But I doubt there's anybody saying hope.

Brother Jesse did not know what I would be preaching

on this morning, but he spoke of that impetum or

the powerless man that had been laid at the pool

of Bethesda for thirty eight years. What Brother Jessee was

saying is this man possessed more than faith, and he

possessed more than love.

He possessed the hope. And that's what gets somebody up

bringing him.

To that pool every day, and that's what kept him

tearing that the pool every day was Hoper. I hope

for clearest guys. I hope the lowest guys. I hope

for better days. There's somebody in this building. I'm telling

you if you lose hope, I've already said hope can win,

and hope can wipes away, but it can also abound.

I'm dealing with a spirit that's allowing it to wipe away,

that's allowing.

Hope to wade that.

I want to.

Tell you one of the fundamental characteristics of the Christian is.

They are hopeful.

They have a Hoper. Oh come on, now, Why in

the world with.

Apostle Paul attempt to evangeliza a city room, why would

he be so hopeful to old Minister to these people,

knowing that he would.

Die there, knowing that he would breathe his last breath there,

Come on, now, so many people open. Look the characteristics

of hope.

I'm telling you today, there's somebody.

You abound in trains.

Maybe you around in love for sure, But do you

abound in hopeless? Do you have an overflowing measure of hope?

It's beyond your human capacity to produce.

words of hope. Full of words of hope. That's what

in the streets, I've learned to stay out of the streets,

preaching street side. I'm trying to correct that. A lot

of campus preachers evangelists have said preaching in the streets,

there was a day and hour you could do that

donkey or a horse. But now I don't preach in

the street. I preach on the street side, on the

roadside of the church. Sent Amen, you know why I'm

pastoring this.

Morning because God put a hope in my heart that

I didn't have to preach her to three or four forever.

I know that sometimes that happens, and we had.

To do it for a pretty good while ourself.

And watch God build a church that if you don't

have hope that He.

Will build it, he will not be able to build it.

And if you do not have hope.

That He will heal it, he will be limited in

what he can through.

If you do not have hope, If God conceal through it.

You will not get through.

It, because hope will help you keep taking her that

first step. You know that little itsy bitsy baby, it

will be hopeful. It will to walk in the hopes

of going from point A to point me by himself,

because there's a hoop in their heart. That's possible that

people had hope, they would pray more e can had hope,

I want to ask you this morning, what are you

hoping for? What are you hoping for?

You can lead the.

Lost hope slope. We can have an overflowing measure of hope.

Did you notice that the apostle Paul is putting such

an emphasis.

On that the God of hope, the God of hope.

I feel that there's some people in this building under

the sound of my voice, who are hoping for something. Now,

I'm not talking about something that's contrary to the will

of God. I'm not talking about something that's contrary to

the teachings of the Sacred Rint. But I want you

to look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, are

you looking for something?

Are you in search of something. What are you searching for?

What are you hoping for?

I feel like some are hoping for a better marriage.

I feel like some are hoping for better health. I

feel like some are hoping for a better job. I

feel like some are hoping for better days. Our Gold

in Texas, that God of Hope can.

Fill you with joy and peace in.

Believing if you have to choose to trust him over

your feelings, and you.

Do have to do that. I said, if you have.

To choose to trust him over your feelings, and you

do have to do that. The purpose of this is

that you made abound hope to the power of the

Holy Ghost. It's not to the power of your pastor's preaching.

It's not to the power of the study school teacher's teaching.

It's not to the power of your testimony. It's not

to the power of the modest trustandard and code.

It is to the power of the Holy Ghost.

That the God of Hope will give you joy.

And peace her and you will choose.

To trust her, and that you will choose to have

her an overflowing measure of hope.

I'll tell you this morning, while this church is.

Growing, it's because her we're hoping for a hundred, not

because her on the status that would bring, not because

her of the messire and of success that would appoint

to not because her or the approval of others to

say they were successful.

We're trying to go to a hundred.

Because that would mean one hundred souls that belongs to

God are sleep in God's forward Come on now. It

wouldn't mean there were hopeful in the advancement of the

Kingdom of God. It wouldn't mean there are hopeful of

the prodigal son and daughter.

We will come home.

So the benedictary prayer, here is the God of hope.

You'll help you. You can abound in hope through the

power the Holy ghosts. It's clear to me that Paul

was encouraging those believers to abound in hope. You see,

when there's no hope for the future, there is no

power in the present. When there is no hope for

the future, there is no power in the presence. Said

I say that again. When there is no hope for

the future, there is no power in the present. Had

there been a time in.

Their life when these people did not possess hope of it,

didn't they because one of the primary themes of the

Epistle to the Romans is hope, and said Mother Jesse, without.

A doubt to these people were no different than us.

At some point, they were no different than you prior

to your conversion and salvation.

It is in an.

Epistle to the Ephesian Church the apostle Paul described the

feelings of the unbeliever, and I want you to know

whether they admit it or not, whether they say it's

true or not.

Let us know the feelings of the sinner and the unbeliever.

It says that at that time you were without Christ.

Being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from

the covenants of Promise, having no hope, and without.

God in this dark world. Oh, our hope is in Jesus.

If we like him, we're nothing without him. We get

hope for nothing. But the God of hope can put

hopah you know, heart, and we can hope her everything.

This word hope, as believers, it means more to us

than it does to the unbeliever.

I hope that things are going to improve. And come on, now,

you ain't dead yet.

I believe God can raise up from their deathbed.

I don't believe we just have to resign to the

fact that the doctor said they have ten hours to live.

I don't believe we should resign to the fact.

And the medical doctor is right when he looks at

it from his perspective and says they only have three

months to live. This generation is a generation without hope.

Come on, you know it's true. That's why they don't

bother going to church.

They say things like, what's the use I'm too tied

up in my sin. Satan's got a strangle hold on

me and I can't be loose. They need to have hope,

and I just thought of this. We have the Hope teams,

We have the hope ministry, and we are pushing a

message of hope out there. I think enough cannot be

said about hope again. I hope every preacher will humble

yourself enough to learn something. Right now, the message.

Of the hour is hope, I said, the message of

the hour is hope.

Of course you can preach and if they don't have hope,

they will not get up.

You can preach how they said, and if they do

not have hope for the betterment, they will not come

at church. If you do not preach hopah, then will

not feel like it's for them hope.

Whether it be a whole treatment or in the hospice

care center, I do not know, but they're passing through

the arms of hospice. Some people are saying to the

soon to be with Oh, you need to hold on

to him. You need to keep him under the strong

arms of hospice care, and you need to find him

some other help, Brother Jesse. Other people are saying, it's

just just time to go. The sickness has taken a

stronghold and now we should just resort to understanding. Its

time for pain management pain control and just let him

go out care free and pain free. But brother, a

child or one thing that I'm marveled about is that

somebody can live three to four miles from a holiness church.

I know that we're nobody.

But the God of Hope is somebody. I know that

sometimes our words are not words of hope enough, but

God's word is hope enough. The words of God are

hoping enough. Come on, now, that's how our faith increases.

That's how we have a faith building his mind here

in the Word of God.

But what stood out.

To me is these people admit Brother Philip personally. They

have shook his hands, they have been stirred by his estimony, and.

They adore him. In fact, when I send Brother Ethan

to see Philip. They're terribly disappointed that Philip wasn't the

I felt like the situation was hopeless, and I would

thing I had to hold on too was somehow, yeah, in.

A remote place of my being, somewhere, I felt like

on to that trail of Hopah. I said, you hold

for the best, the very best, Sir Martin Luther. At

a point in his ministry, he entered a period of

despair and darkness, and Brother Jesse after the third day

of him dwelling in the basement wondering about this and

that and searching his soul because he was under severe persecution.

In fact, at one point Martin Luther said, I might

as well now get married, because I won't live very

long because I'm so hated. In fact, he was the

most hated man of that region at that time, and

so he stayed.

point he began to preach against.

These Romans, having the priest and the nuns in those convents,

and how they were refusing to marry. And he talked

to me the words of the Apostle Paul. He said,

there's a few exceptions to the rule, and there's a

tempted many times to marry, but because of wanting to

be merciful to whom he would marry, he refused to

marry because he knew it's.

Only a matter of time till the pope and the

bishops and the cardinals have my head. But at some

and one of them convents, and they got one of

his writings, and they read it in.

Their minds and hearts were illuminated to the truth. And

somehow they got word to Martin Luther that they wanted

to come out of that convent. I believe it was

a dozen of them, and they devised a scheme and

a plan to get them out of that convent, and

there was a man delivering I believe Spanish Michael, some

kind of fish in twelve wouldn't bear. And Martin Luther

had spokeled a letter into them and said, after they've

did you know they smelled that fish? Of course they did.

you guessed it, fell in love with him and he

married her brother Tyler. At some point though, he got

in that despair because he was a wanted man. He

was a hunted man. You think you're battle of despair.

You think you battled darkness, and you think you think

people don't like you, you think you're a mark person.

You think, hey, come on now, I'm telling you. It's

one thing to talk and it's another thing to stand

for it. It's one thing to preach it in private.

It's another thing to preach it and go online. And

people despise it. But Martin Luther got down and wondered,

it's my preaching in vain. Our people really really being

led into the marvelous line of truth. Our people really

being illuminated by the gospel, or have I led people

straight headlong into hell? And he was down there in

that basement for three days, walking, they said, with his

head down, and he was losing hopes as to Howell

and that precious little nun, and he rescued him. Became

his wife come down there in a black gown and

a black armband around her arm. And Martin looked at

her and his eyes got real big. I can't remember

her name. This is all coming to mind right now.

And he said, what happened?

Who died? Why do you wear the mourner's gown? And

she said, apparently God did. And Martin Luther squared his

shoulders and said, don't speak as a foolish woman from

my God has never died and never will. She said, Well,

for three days hoped and moan, and the basement, as though.

Your God was dead, rose up, Martin, and I'm hoping God.

Not in this building.

It doesn't matter how.

You feel, love, it doesn't matter. I look on the situation.

There isn't not an amputent man else. For it's that

three eight years of the three hundred years of I said,

You're faring better than others simply because you refuse to

let go of that thread of hope.

You see, Paul, he wasn't gonna go down.

I'm gonna pray, and I'm gonna miss the meals, and

I'm gonna fast because.

I have a desire to be saved. Now, there's people

in every denomination that professes to be Christian denominations that.

I know of would have gave up hope. They would

have never likened the ship. They'd never walked out of

the closet. They just bolted the door and.

Said, we're going down with the ship that starts too big?

How is it too big for God?

And ask you?

Paul not only desired to be saved himself, but he

desired for others to be saved. And he had that

joy in.

That peace that he talked about. For the Romans, he.

that God was seen and through this tumultus situation, and

don't understand I've given up hope. I'm weak mentally. I'm

just wore out. Yet That's how Martin Luther was that

you may abound in hope through the time where the

Since we've heard of your faith in Christ Jesus.

And of the love which you have to all the saints,

for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,

where have.

You heard before in the word of the truth of

the Gospel. Listen, I'm not dreaming. I'm hoping. I'm not dreaming.

This is real.

I want to say that again, this is not pineus guy.

John Bunyan said, hope is never ill when faith is well.

Hope is never ill when faith as well.

The fact that you have something wonderful to look forward to,

whether it be salvation for your lost love, when healing

for your body.

Refuse to believe that I'm going to go to heaven

with a certain element I have on my body.

I told sister how four or five days ago, I said,

I honestly believe that the Lord has showed me to

have hope that I'm going to be healed. Y'all thinking

about this now, we had hope that brother Philip would

be healed. Right, But before modern medicine, our forefathers of

the faith and the Fall and fathers of Christendom, they

had to have hope of Jesus for healing. And there

was some of them.

They had to plow a field manually. They didn't have

a tractor.

So when they were forty years old or fifty years

old or sixty years old and their knees started acting up,

they couldn't rely on.

Their hopelessness and drawing disability as from the government. They

had to hope that they had to have faith. They

had to hope Thou in God.

That's right.

And I'm telling you the problem with our churches today

is the mindset of hopelessness. I never have allowed myself

to believe that the Devil's going.

To destroy the Hall of Family, right. I never have

allowed myself to believe that the devil's taking one of

them too far, that there's no hope.

That's right. I've never allowed myself to believe, even after

we've had to take a stand of time or two

at this church and it's had to split because we

stood for truth and righteousness a few times over the years,

I've never felt like, well, it's hopelessness impossible build a

church that's right. If you're hurting this morning, I'm not

telling you to get off your medication, and I'm not

telling you that I'm going to see a doctor. But

I believe we ought to enter this build in this house.

I hope and talk to the God of Hope every

single service that if I've got kidney failure, I'm gonna

be healed.

If i got diabetes, I'm gonna be healed. If I'm

in heart failure, I'm gonna be healed. I'm hopeful that

the situation is gonna improve. I'm hopeful for it betterment.

I'm hopeful for enrichment, spiritcy, I'm hopeful.

You think about the people that killed themselves this year,

Brother Jesse, there was no hope, Hope had waned, hope

had waxed the way, and they destroyed themselves. That's what

Martin Luther said was happening in the hymn sister whoop,
