  9. Jacob said just a.

  10. Little while ago, a full house of just beautiful people.

  11. Brother Nathaniel, do you have a microphone there with you?

  12. Turn with me to Acts chapter number seven. You will

  13. be reading verses number twenty three through twenty five. Brother

  14. Jesse's Secred Corinthians, chapter number four and verse number seven Again,

  15. Brother Nathaniel, Acts chapter number seven, Versus number twenty three,

  16. twenty four, and twenty five, and Brother Jesse Second Corinthians,

  17. Chapter number four and verse number seven. Sister Hannah, do

  18. you have baby Martin? They're with you right now. Is

  19. he in the carrier? Are you able to pick him up?

  20. Brother Jesse, would you stand up? We're going to dedicate

  21. Brother Jesse. Would you stand to Sister Hannah with baby Martin?

  22. Brother Jesse and sister Hannah's baby boy, baby Martin. Turned

  23. around Sister Hannah and let him see baby Martin.

  24. Is it he adorable?

  25. Look at him in that dedication outfit and he looks

  26. so handsome. Thank your brother Jesse and Sister Hannah. We're

  27. going to give back.

  28. To the Lord what he gave to us.

  29. These parents are going to give back to the Lord

  30. what he gave to them. Brother Nathaniel, Acts chapter number seven,

  31. Verses number twenty three through twenty five. And when he

  32. was full forty years old, it came into his heart

  33. to visit his brethren, the children of Israel, and seeing

  34. one of them suffer wrong, he defended him and a

  35. bend him that was oppressed, and.

  36. Smote the Egyptian.

  37. For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that

  38. God by his hand would deliver.

  39. Them, but they understood not.

  40. Moses was a warrior, and his mission was a mission

  41. with a purpose to help.

  42. Others and better their lives.

  43. It was always about others, from the very beginning when

  44. he was four days old, when he was forty years old,

  45. and when he was eighty years old. Brother Jesse's such

  46. a Corinthians, Chapter number four and verse number seven. But

  47. we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency

  48. of the power may be of God and not of us.

  49. He was who he was because of the power of God.

  50. Let's stand for the reading of our golden text. We

  51. exit as chapter number fifteen, verse number three. These are

  52. the words of a warrior speaking from his heart. You'll

  53. notice our golden text is the words of Moses that

  54. were written and saying after the Egyptian army, in pursuit

  55. of God's people were drowned in the Red Sea. Again

  56. our golden text Exodus, chapter number fifteen, verse number three,

  57. the Bible.

  58. Says, the Lord is a man of war. The Lord

  59. is his name? Can we pray?

  60. Heavenly Father, we love him, We praise you. We thank

  61. you for the opportunity to be in your house this morning.

  62. I thank you for the spirit of God that we

  63. have felt in this place. Truly great joy is present. Lord,

  64. we understand the seriousness and the gravity of this situation.

  65. Lord, as we can hold the reverence approach your.

  66. Throng boldly to obtain grace in this time of need

  67. of dedicating baby Marty and giving him back to you

  68. on behalf of the parents.

  69. We pray you would know what this service. Set a

  70. guard at my mouth, and.

  71. Help me to say the things you would have me

  72. to say, nothing more or less. And knowing the years

  73. of this note people, that they might hear what the

  74. Spirit of God says this morning, concern and what this

  75. child could be would give you the praise and honor

  76. and the glory in Jesus' name in the church says Amen,

  77. as you're being seated, let's look at our golden text again. Exodus,

  78. chapter number fifteen and verse number three. The Bible said,

  79. the Lord is a man of war.

  80. The Lord is his name.

  81. Our text is found in an Old Testament book of

  82. the Holy Bible, the Book of Exodus. Most of the

  83. people in this building are quite familiar with the stories

  84. found in this second book of sixty six books comprised

  85. of the Holy Divine Sacred writ the Divine Library.

  86. The title of this book.

  87. Drops a not so subtle hint in regards to the

  88. most exciting story in this book, and that is the

  89. story of the Great Exodus of the descendants of Abraham,

  90. Isaac and Jacob. They left the land of their captivity

  91. to find the land of promise. Those of you that

  92. are familiar with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as characters in

  93. the Bible, and these biblical characters' lives, you know that

  94. these men were men of purpose. Several months ago, while

  95. preaching a sermon, it came to me that God took

  96. great pleasure in identifying himself as the God of Abraham,

  97. Isaac and Jacob. It's one thing for men to say

  98. I am a child of God, but it's another for

  99. God Almighty to say I Am the God of such men.

  100. And so we know that those three patriarchs of faith, Abraham, Isaac,

  101. and Jacob eviditely God fearing men on a mission. And

  102. if you'll study the lives of those men, you will

  103. find them to be warriors. I was praying and asking

  104. the Lord for a sermon specific for this baby dedication.

  105. I didn't want to reach into a minister's manual or

  106. a sermon book. I wanted to pull something out of

  107. the portals of glory, if God would permit and allow

  108. me to and if He was speaking to my heart,

  109. something specific, because I knew you could just find them

  110. a diamond dozen in a minister's manual. How many times

  111. have we heard the sermon of hand of bringing her

  112. son Samuel to the Lord, dedicating him to the Lord.

  113. That is a beautiful story, and I've preached from that story.

  114. Many times, but a lot of times.

  115. The reason why you're so familiar with that during a

  116. baby dedication.

  117. Is because that story is the most.

  118. Common one you'll find in a minister's manual. So concerning

  119. these baby dedications, I never allow myself.

  120. To pick up a minister's manuel.

  121. I don't want something that's cookie cutter or something that's

  122. just running the bill. I want something that is serving specific.

  123. I felt in my heart as though brother Jesse and

  124. his wife, as father and mother, were asking God to

  125. speak to them concerning this child. You will remember the

  126. messenger of the Lord named Gabriel. The Messenger Gabriel, the

  127. Messenger Gabriel.

  128. He came and he spoke concerning Jesus.

  129. He spoke specifically to marry and then later on the

  130. messenger spoke specifically to Joseph.

  131. About their child.

  132. You will remember the wife of Manoah. You will remember

  133. Samson's mother heard from the messenger prior.

  134. To her conceiving her wound had been buried.

  135. It was past age for a lot of these women

  136. that miraculously conceived to conceive a child. But a heavenly

  137. messenger spoke to them concerning their child.

  138. There's a lot of you.

  139. Your child is going into a world of sin, and

  140. sometimes you come to church hanging on by a thread

  141. to hope.

  142. You say, God, speak to me, and just give.

  143. Me the smallest measure of hope, even if it's just faith.

  144. It's like the grain of a mustard syy, the smallest

  145. measure of faith and hope.

  146. Just give me hope and faith. It's not that I'm.

  147. Short on love for my child, but I need a

  148. word from God. I need that preacher to drop a

  149. nugget in my hand that I could clutch and grasp

  150. and pull to my bosom and say, God, you are

  151. mindful of my child. He's a drunker today, he's a

  152. drug addict. She is living a life promiscuity. I taught

  153. her better than that. I raised her in the.

  154. House of God.

  155. But she's out there. She's going beyond sewing her wild hoap.

  156. She's reaping it. She's got a werehouse full of her sin.

  157. She's got a wearhouse full of the fruit of her sin.

  158. Her labor for sin has been very productive and it's great,

  159. But during that service you get more than a thread

  160. of hope, You get a rope of hope, and you

  161. get off of that slippery slope of despair and darkness.

  162. Sometimes simple because God speaks to you about your child.

  163. You know, concerning the name of a child, the Bible said,

  164. a good name is rather to be chosen than great

  165. riches and love and favor, rather than silver and gold. Parents,

  166. pray about the naming of your child. Ask God to

  167. speak into your heart concerning your child's name. Every child,

  168. the sister holl And I brought into this world by

  169. the goodness and the grace of God. We prayed for

  170. a lengthy period of time for their names.

  171. Just about every time.

  172. After several months, God spoke into my heart during the

  173. time of prayer their first and their middle name. I

  174. pray that they live up to their name, because God

  175. has given.

  176. Them some war wonderful names.

  177. When you inquire the meaning of their name is just

  178. so encouraging. I remember, if we had a trend, we

  179. had a custom, We're gonna name our children names that

  180. begin with a letter J. You got Jeremiah, you got Jesse,

  181. And for sure I was going to name my third

  182. son a name that begin with a letter J, and

  183. I just couldn't find peace with it. I said, God,

  184. what would you have me name it? Then one night,

  185. about one o'clock in the morning, I was laying on

  186. my face with my King James translation Bible, and I

  187. was a prayer and seeking God.

  188. Let a God into that time of prayer.

  189. God overshadowed me, and I begin to tremble and the

  190. quake and the goodness of God, and I felt such.

  191. Joy and peace that passed all understanding. And he said,

  192. his name shall be Nathaniel.

  193. I knew right then, the sister how probably wouldn't understand

  194. why we were breaking away from names that begin with

  195. a letter J. But I knew what God has said.

  196. His name shall be Nathaniel. He said, it's Nathaniel whom

  197. I called in the Word of God.

  198. He shall be an Israeli, the spiritual Israeli. Indeed, in

  199. whom is no God.

  200. He said.

  201. He will be honest to the core.

  202. He will be sincere, and he will be genuine, he

  203. will be trustworthy, he will be a people, a person

  204. that people like. I want you to know that there's

  205. more to that story than what I'm letting on because

  206. there were other how Old children, probably ten more whose

  207. names begin with the letter J.

  208. But because God said, so.

  209. I broke the mold, I was the first one to

  210. dare to break the mold.

  211. We were running out of jays because.

  212. Every name that began with jay at that time it

  213. had to be a biblical name. Somehow the girls got

  214. out of that. Some of their names began with other

  215. letters besides the letter J. But all the Howell men

  216. were naming their sons names that begin with a letter J.

  217. Let's go, shall we Jeremy, Jonathan, Jerry, Joseph, James, Jason, John, Joshua,

  218. And it goes on and on and on. But that night,

  219. at the time of prayer, he said his name shall

  220. be called Nathaniel. And I was praying, and I said, God,

  221. I noticed that for the first time, brother Jesse has

  222. sidesed up the biblical name. I said, He's had Micah, David,

  223. He's had Malachi Obadiah.

  224. He said Maxon that named Max's in the Bible. If

  225. I'm not.

  226. Mistaken, is the name Martin in the Bible, Not that

  227. I know of. I said, it seemed like brother Jesse

  228. has broken a family trendy has stepped outside.

  229. Of a biblical name, and I said, I don't have

  230. an ouse the problem with that.

  231. I'm not concerned about that a bit, because I know

  232. that Dad is a praying man. I said, God, I

  233. surely would like to know why you have steered brother

  234. Jesse and his wife in this direction. Now, if it

  235. had been a little baby girl, I doubt God would

  236. have steered them in the direction of naming her after

  237. the infamous and notorious biblical character Jezebel. I doubt that

  238. he would want to go back to the trend and

  239. the family tradition of the beginning the names beginning with

  240. the letter Jay, and named his son Judas. So I

  241. was praying, I said, God, I know that you've done

  242. a miraculous thing in the heart and alive for brother Jesse.

  243. There's a reason for this, And sister.

  244. Women, I was praying, and I began to think about

  245. a warrior, and I went back to a time in

  246. that same single white trailer that I told you about

  247. a little while ago, that was being picked on with

  248. the pebbles of a bully. Sister how and I were

  249. unable to have children at that time because of a

  250. box surgery that took place. After the birth of our

  251. firstborn son, Jeremiah, I came home from church on a

  252. Sunday night. I laid down there in the floor. Then

  253. I brought.

  254. Myself up on the cushion of the love seat.

  255. Then I got back in the floor and I said, God,

  256. I feel like it's your will that we.

  257. Have another child. I believe God, it's your will.

  258. And as I was just praying and loving on Jesus

  259. and glorifying his name, the power of God overshadowed me

  260. again again to tremble, and it was just the lady.

  261. There was just so much joy and so much peace

  262. and passed understanding, and prophetically I prayed, I said, his

  263. name shall be Jesse.

  264. And then in the spirit I asked.

  265. A question, God, do you still raise up men among

  266. men nowadays? And then I pray further, God, do you

  267. still raise up men of God among men?

  268. In this day?

  269. Nine months later Jesse was born, but prophetically God revealed

  270. to me that his name would be Jesse. And as

  271. I was praying, I'm again to remember about what happened

  272. so many years prior, and then I thought, he is

  273. far ordained to raise up men of God. God, do

  274. you still raise up men of God in this day.

  275. I thank God for girls. I love girls. I appreciate girls. Y'all.

  276. Tell you who's got my heart. My granddaughters have my heart,

  277. and so do my grandsons.

  278. But I realized, this man right here, it's been ordained

  279. of God that he raised up men of God in

  280. this generation, all the.

  281. Responsibility he shouldered.

  282. And as I prayed, I realized the Bible said that

  283. Jesse went as a man among men, even in an

  284. old age, just among his peers, he was recognized as

  285. just someone that was a start, someone that was a warrior. Well,

  286. no wonder most of his sons enlisted in the Israeli Army,

  287. including the famous wonderful King David. So I was a

  288. prayer on that Sister Moton, and I just felt like

  289. the Lord said, look.

  290. Up to me in another name Martin. I said, okay, Lord,

  291. I'll do that. You know what the meaning of the

  292. name Martin is warrior. So I want to preach.

  293. A message the Holy Ghost child or wants a Martin

  294. always a Martin.

  295. I borrowed that statement or that slogan from the United

  296. States Marine Corps. What's a marine always a marine?

  297. Right? What's a marine? Always a marine. What's a martin?

  298. Always a martin?

  299. Looking at our golden text again, Moses is writing.

  300. The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is

  301. his name.

  302. Not only is he writing, he's singing right at the

  303. time that these words are spoken. They're spoken through Saul,

  304. by the mighty notable warrior, Moses, the leader over God's people.

  305. Are words of our golden text or words of a

  306. written as saying by Moses and the Chunden of Israel

  307. after the Egyptian army who were in suit.

  308. Of goth people who were drowned in the red seat.

  309. Thank God for spiritual warriors and physical warriors, natural warriors,

  310. people that are willing to fight for others.

  311. I consider the characteristics and.

  312. The traits of warriors and system would most of the time.

  313. I reached the conclusion. After analyzing every.

  314. Real warrior's life, I reached the conclusion that they were

  315. not in it for themselves.

  316. They were always in it for others. So y'all imagine

  317. with me the strong emotion.

  318. Being manifested in that very moment as Moses returns glory, honor,

  319. and praise after.

  320. He's been an instrument in the hand of God. He

  321. declares God to be the warrior. The Lord is a warrior.

  322. The Lord is.

  323. A man of war.

  324. He said, That is why we have great joy in

  325. our heart.

  326. That is why we feel this unspeakable glory in her heart.

  327. Just imagine with me as Maryam took the tambourine and

  328. stood beside that baby brother of hers, whom God used

  329. her as a warrior also to spare his life.

  330. Imagine as she literally looked up.

  331. To him out of the corner of her eye and

  332. realized what God had done for their.

  333. Mother, Jacobin, who was also a warrior.

  334. Imagine the strong. Are you feeling strong emotion this morning?

  335. That's God working in your heart. Are you feeling a

  336. joy that you don't feel any other day.

  337. Of the week. Don't abandon that, get a hold of it.

  338. Moses was experiencing great joy and amazement because of what

  339. God did through him, because of his willingness to be

  340. warrior for God.

  341. Amen.

  342. How many people present today know there's a great difference

  343. between the land of one's nativity and the land of

  344. their captivity.

  345. There's a great difference.

  346. Between the land of one's nativity and the land of

  347. one's captivity. There was a time that Moses's family was

  348. in the land of their captivity. For those who are

  349. unaware of how the children Jacob ended up serving as

  350. slaves under the iron fists of the Great Pharaoh of Egypt,

  351. allowed me to walk you through the narrative. One may

  352. remember that there came a time in the life of

  353. Jacob when he traveled into Egypt to sustain the lives

  354. of his family.

  355. It was about others.

  356. There was a time when he made comfortable arrangements in

  357. the land of Egypt for their lodging because of his

  358. son Joseph. Joseph had been promoted to a high place

  359. in the government. If you would, he became Lieutenant Pharaoh's

  360. second only to Pharaoh. Because of this, Joseph's relatives lived

  361. in peace in the land of Goshen for a moment,

  362. and that moment lasted four hundred years.

  363. Plus.

  364. It was a time of tremendous growth for the descendants

  365. of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God allowed them to settle

  366. for a time of growth.

  367. Not only did.

  368. The people of Abraham, the children of God, the Israelites

  369. to Israelis, noticed this tremendous growth taking place. Also, the

  370. Egyptians noticed this very thing as well, that God was

  371. prospering the family of Jacob, just as Joseph had prophesied

  372. that it would happen, and just as Joseph the Warrior

  373. had made sure.

  374. That it happened. Amen, get quiet right here in this building

  375. this morning.

  376. So the Hebrews became too strong for their enemies to handle,

  377. the meek and the lowly Hebrews that lived a shepherd life.

  378. The Egyptians did not appreciate the life of a shepherd

  379. at all. In fact, the Egyptians deemed it as the

  380. lowest of trades and occupations, and they felt like people

  381. that lived the life of a shepherd were cursed people.

  382. Their gods would not allow someone to live as a shepherd's.

  383. So these shepherds become greatly blessed, and Sister William, their

  384. enemy recognizes that these people of God have become too

  385. great for us to hold on to. Literally, if these

  386. people wanted to rebel, they could take over the land

  387. of Egypt right now. And so we need to do

  388. something about this. And this new pharaoh he forced the

  389. hebrew people into slavery. Notice, the children of God were

  390. too all for their adversaries for control. I wish that

  391. the people of God would understand that greater is He

  392. that is within you than he that is in the world.

  393. But a lot of times we walk around with this

  394. weakling and whimpy mentality rather than this warlick mentality, rather

  395. than recognize them.

  396. We are warriors for Christ.

  397. The enemy knows the power of one saint on bended kneed.

  398. The enemy knows the power of faithful church attendance and

  399. obedience to scripture.

  400. The enemy knows the power of that.

  401. But sometimes we have this grasshopper mentality.

  402. Y'all remember when the children of.

  403. Israel were supposed to possess the Land of Promise. They

  404. come back and they told Moses, they said they are

  405. giants and we are as grasshoppers. David did not share

  406. this grasshopper mentality. David had a warrior mentality. You want

  407. to know why David had a warrior mentality because of

  408. his father, JESSI recently, one of my sons told me

  409. that they met with someone that's very influential in the

  410. city of a Mochily. In fact, they have a lot

  411. of control in the city of a Mochally. Not too

  412. long ago, they employed one of our sons, and they

  413. would like to employ another winner two or three. They

  414. messaged me sometime back and said, do you think you

  415. could influence some of your sons to come our way.

  416. I said, we'll see when the time is right. So

  417. when my.

  418. Sons let me know that their place of business is

  419. folded up and closing their door, I messaged them within

  420. five minutes of receiving the phone call.

  421. And I speak as a.

  422. Fool, I'm just telling your parents, your junior will emulate

  423. your life. Within five minutes or receiving the phone call

  424. from one of my sons concerning and the fact that

  425. their company has full up and going out of business

  426. here at this location, I made a phone call and

  427. immediately this other person that's very influential in call your

  428. county in the city of a mocky league. They said,

  429. I'm gonna let some people know we want them, we

  430. want them to come our way. And so brother Jesse

  431. was sick for the most part of last week, but

  432. he went into work on Friday and they pulled him

  433. in the office and they talked to him for about

  434. an hour, and to make a long story short, they said,

  435. you know, we don't even know your brother Nathaniel, but we.

  436. Want to hire him.

  437. And so the reason why we want to hire him

  438. is because we've seen you come in and we've seen

  439. the way you work, and we see the way you

  440. treat people.

  441. We see the way.

  442. You appreciate our company, and you appreciate strong leadership, and

  443. you value success, and your priorities are always in the

  444. right place, and you take your job seriously. They said,

  445. because of the way you work and your work ethic

  446. and your good personality. You're good mentality, your good work mindset,

  447. we want to hire your brother immediately. We want to

  448. talk to him, we want to interview Nathaniel immediately. And

  449. Jesse said the meeting was just about over and said,

  450. I just want to tell you. What did she say,

  451. Brother Jesse. She said, We've had a good meeting, but

  452. I want you to know it's all props to your parents.

  453. She said, I've never met your parents, but I've seen

  454. how you are, and I know it's because.

  455. Of who your parents are.

  456. I'm not looking for brother Jesse's praise, honor, and glory

  457. because it goes to him. The Bible said, give them

  458. the glory that is doing to them. I'm not a

  459. credit crook, and I'm not going to take his good work.

  460. Ethic to be mine.

  461. But I will tell your fathers and mothers that our

  462. children emulate the copycat they pared us. What we do

  463. in moderation, our children will do in excess. And sometimes

  464. if you do a good job as a mama, that's

  465. under the iron fist of Pharaoh. Your name's Jocobed and

  466. you're doing the best you can to survive. And rather

  467. than giving up and committing suicide or throwing yourself at

  468. the Nile River among the crocodiles, you say, you know what,

  469. We're gonna live and we're gonna survive. I'm telling this

  470. people right here this morning. Once a Martin, always apart,

  471. you could be a warner if you want to. Let's

  472. go away this ripping mentality and let's put on a

  473. warrior mentality.

  474. Brother Philip, stand up.

  475. I speak as a fool, But Brother Philip was diagnosed

  476. with one of the rarest, most deadly forms of cancer

  477. that shook my world in a way that my world

  478. had never been shaken. And I've been through some tragic things.

  479. I sit there in that.

  480. Doctor's office with him, trying to make sure my knees

  481. did start knocking, tried to make sure my hands.

  482. Did start sweating, trying to keep beads of sweat from

  483. rolling down my face.

  484. And I heard God, Almighty, safety, strong in the Lord, in.

  485. The power of his mic because Brother.

  486. Philip and I we were anticipating bad news, because of

  487. the situation and the way they asked us to go

  488. to the office, and because of the expressions on the people.

  489. When we walked in the building, a man that had

  490. collectively in his office probably seventy five to one hundred

  491. years of experience, he said, I don't think I've ever

  492. handled a case so severe as this. I need to

  493. pass this to a higher board, a higher counsel. Brother

  494. just said there was one thing that I held on to,

  495. and that was the spirit of a warrior. I said, God,

  496. I've always been a fighter. I'm going to continue to

  497. be a fighter. I never patted him on the back.

  498. I never cried with him on bend and knee. I

  499. never tried to coach him or coerce him into anything.

  500. I helped him go to doctor's appointments.

  501. I drove him when he needed to be drove, prayed

  502. with him before he went in the operation room, prayed

  503. for him.

  504. When he came out.

  505. I helped him get home, helped him get in and

  506. out of a vh But one thing I never did

  507. brother Nathaniel, was break down in his presence, all because

  508. of God.

  509. But I wanted that young man to know that there can.

  510. Be a hope in that breast, in that bussom, there

  511. can be a hope for the underdog.

  512. That can be hope for the underdog.

  513. That they may say they don't have a remedy for

  514. that malady. They may say we don't have the answer

  515. for that problem. They may say we don't have the

  516. cure for that cancer. That's correct, But I know the

  517. man of war, the Lord is a man of war.

  518. When you're gonna gainst overwhelming odds, great is he that.

  519. Is within me than he that is in the world.

  520. The board of the highest of the.

  521. Most trained and learned cancer doctors don't know how we're

  522. gonna treat it, but I'll tell you one good knight service.

  523. You feel not important to be in a knight service,

  524. it could be that knight service and purges your son's

  525. mind from permit mass murder. It could be that one

  526. service and purchase your dollar's mind from going out and

  527. getting drunk. And that's not dying whenever he hit the

  528. smacks an oak tree. It could be that one service

  529. where the prophetic word of God, that is what happened,

  530. speaks to the preacher, to the one that's body is riddled.

  531. It wasn't just in one or two places. How many

  532. places did they remove it from?

  533. About four places.

  534. We didn't tell everybody that four places in the Torso

  535. he's not supposed to be here.

  536. Right now, but one night dearing the mood.

  537. You can make your priorities whatever you want to make them.

  538. You can put whatever you want to on a pedestal.

  539. But warriors will always put God's in the stage. They

  540. will always give God all the praise. They will always

  541. elevate the name of the Lord.

  542. And when God speaks, they will be obedient to his Lord.

  543. Even when it says, put saint, not the assuming of

  544. yourself together. Family, they're placing her and damn running off

  545. like Gyrhea.

  546. For the mouth.

  547. It's not enough.

  548. You need to be there in the house of God.

  549. Will the spirit of God is moving.

  550. That night, the hold of girl spoke to me and said,

  551. brother Philip, go to the back door, open and cast

  552. out cancer.

  553. That may seem fanatical.

  554. But so does Jacobbin telling her, the daughter Mary of

  555. the Warrior, take this little woven basket, put your baby

  556. brother in it. Walk down now to the bank of

  557. the mighty Crocodile investing now river and put your baby

  558. brother of flu in the bullrushes. That sounds pretty fanatical

  559. to salvation, doesn't it.

  560. Not everybody's gonna choose to be a warrior for Christ.

  561. Not everybody's gonna choose to go to a fundamental Bible.

  562. Believe in pure vanilla, green.

  563. Age, true blue.

  564. Come on now holding his church. But I will tell

  565. you this, when God.

  566. Is the god of that house, you could expect miracles.

  567. And that's why Moses saw the power of God menipist it.

  568. He'll revealed time and again in his family's life, in

  569. the life of the people of God, is because he's

  570. served the God of miracles to each his own and everyone.

  571. They're entitled their opinions. You can decide to do it

  572. different than the Howell family has done it, but I

  573. want you to know it.

  574. I can slap this pulpit and get your attention.

  575. When cancer's got your son and its clutches and it's

  576. shaking the life out of it, you better hope he's

  577. got a warrior spirit that says, I'm not gonna caught

  578. the God and click.

  579. Out of here.

  580. I'll tell you why these young men from the Howell

  581. household are who they are today. Not so much because

  582. of my ability to train and raise up men of God,

  583. although I'm being humble and stating that.

  584. But we will give the.

  585. Credit and the honor and the glory to God, and

  586. we will lift up the praises of the name of

  587. the Lord. Because two, we could have been great in

  588. the rodeo arena. I know what it is to ride

  589. horses that are not broke. I know what it is

  590. to do exactly what the riders on the Bronx are

  591. doing today.

  592. But I'll tell you, brother Philip, we might have become.

  593. Great in the rodeo arena. The howl young men probably

  594. would have been Come here, brother Philip, But I'll tell you.

  595. What a rodeo bull or can't do. They can't do this.

  596. And you know what.

  597. Everybody may choose to go to Hell in a handbasket,

  598. and they may choose to throw away the values and

  599. the morals that this nation was founded on.

  600. But there were people that left England. Y'all know that

  601. right left Europe.

  602. Left that continent called separatists that had a problem even

  603. with the way the Orthodox Church was doing things. And

  604. they came over here, and this great country is the

  605. great country it is today because somebody had a warrior spirit.

  606. Some mother said, you know what, we're leaving a good house,

  607. We're leaving good jobs, we're leaving good banks, we're living,

  608. leaving good bakeries.

  609. How we're gonna.

  610. Survive, how we're gonna start over, how we're gonna get

  611. to do within, and how we're gonna change our.

  612. Life for the matter while going over there, for the

  613. less of what would happen now.

  614. But they had a warrior spirit.

  615. And when the Hammer boys received that news that.

  616. By the end of the year they will be unemployed,

  617. we can get upset with and cry about it that

  618. we knew that Jehovah Jarrah is our God. By definition

  619. that means he is our provider. Come on and have

  620. a little stir and contest the bottle life and say

  621. that God, he's his provider.

  622. Even a great provider.

  623. Song and the son of David, he said, you look

  624. out there on the fielda and you see it glassly away.

  625. God really is you see the Rose of Sharon. You

  626. see all of this, say, with the creation that God

  627. has done, I want you to know God is concerned that.

  628. About the glass of the piana, and the tune up

  629. in the garden, and the lei in the valley, and

  630. the rosa scenity, the pastor. Hey, God is concerned about.

  631. L And you're one situation man.

  632. God's concerned about you and your hand. Situation concerned what

  633. about you and your farewel.

  634. It's your ration.

  635. What's how to do is do lot chuck.

  636. A bit being up and tune it out there. They

  637. let God take care of I say, tune out there.

  638. They look God, every one of these great men of

  639. God that are the ancestors of Moses.

  640. They were warriors. You'll find it.

  641. Abraham, even though he is chronicled as the father of faith,

  642. Abraham is chronicled as one that would do whatever God

  643. bade him to.

  644. Do, including offering up his only son Isaac. Abraham also

  645. was a warrior.

  646. We find one time whatever his nephew lotched that Uncle Abe,

  647. I don't believe I'm going in that direction. I'm gonna

  648. do things my way, and I believe that it'll work

  649. out good. It'll work out for me because I am

  650. the nephew of Uncle Abe.

  651. You know what the enemy in Lot was not a warrior.

  652. Spirit in Lot was that whipping mentality. I'm gonna go

  653. down there where the grass it's so nush and so thick,

  654. where it's well water. I'm gonna go down there and

  655. experience city life. I'm gonna go down there to Sodom

  656. a Gamar where there's all of that immorality taking place.

  657. I'm gonna stay outside the gate so that people know

  658. I'm happy and immorality and happy morality.

  659. I'm happy in sin and I'm happy to will it goup. Hey,

  660. come on, now, you know what happened, don't you?

  661. At there? At different times during the life of lat

  662. the enemy would come in and they would.

  663. Take lock captain.

  664. And you would think that Abraham, who began with nothing,

  665. wouldn't have had a remedy. But by the time he

  666. wondered here and there in the wilderness, when there came

  667. a time for divide, intervention and interception, we find that

  668. Abraham had a war committee of war counsel that consisted

  669. of shepherds. And you'll pint it in the Bible of

  670. an Abraham and his helpers, if you would his ranch hands.

  671. His hired helper.

  672. They went and rooped the armies of the enemies and

  673. brought lot in this family back.

  674. Homer brought back the possisions.

  675. I'm telling you every person of God is strong in

  676. godd They're not ashamed to talk about the Bible. They're

  677. not ashamed of living at the word place them. They're

  678. not a shame of liveing at Homer.

  679. They are not ashamed of That's not Apostle Paul said,

  680. I am.

  681. Not ashamed of the Gospel. Help you look at the

  682. hold family.

  683. You can tell you.

  684. Ain't got nothing at all to be ashamed about it.

  685. Then I'm telling the child of godda you're pining a

  686. parent daughter, then you've got nothing at all in the

  687. Lord to.

  688. Be ashamed of. All the old Thomers had to say.

  689. And the proof is in the putting.

  690. People can ignore one of the evidence that say, well

  691. that just got lucky.

  692. Really, we should have been playing the lottery, right. Y'all

  693. want us to gamble, y'all want us to gamble on

  694. these things.

  695. Gamble on baby.

  696. Just maybe I ain't gonna plan a scene in his

  697. heart by going to the rodeo on Sunday night instead

  698. of going to church, I'm on gamble on and then

  699. we had devotion before the rodeo started. I'm just gonna

  700. gamble on the fact that we prayed. I'm just gonna

  701. gamble on the fact that we prayed that we would win.

  702. And then I make everybody feel better that we prayed.

  703. That everybody's a winner, because there's gonna be plenty of

  704. losers go home. But as the rodeo progresses, and as

  705. the bud Wiser takes its toll in the pit of

  706. the stomach and starts coursing through the veins, what was

  707. glory being that Jesus's glory be to me?

  708. Come on now, fish pumping in the air. Look what

  709. I've done, Look what I could do. Elevated hearts, elevated spirits,

  710. Look at me.

  711. And it's all playing games till the hoof on that

  712. big bat ball comes crashing down into somebody's scoring. I'm

  713. gonna tell you that you know what they do. They

  714. immediately get religious. They can't even sober enough, sober up

  715. enough to play, but they.

  716. Take off their hatchet. It looks ad in theball, it

  717. looks respectable, and.

  718. With beer stained breath, they say, godspear my son that

  719. I took out of church on Sunday night, that I

  720. suck up costa to the honor and over me over

  721. I tell her, somebody up even this morning, talking up.

  722. But whatever you want to.

  723. But I know a lawyer. When I see water, I

  724. know a hand the warriors. When I see water.

  725. The people of this water.

  726. They die, it doesn't.

  727. But the lawyers of this water they off you.

  728. These people were forced into slavery, but they didn't know

  729. the warrior was living within 'em. But some of them

  730. understood that. And that's half the battle, is understanding. Greater

  731. is he that is within me than he that's in

  732. the world. How could you stand up and testify in

  733. a whimpy fashion and give him whimpy praise When you

  734. realize who's living this id youven no longer use your

  735. lack of confidence as a badge of honor and a

  736. symbol of false humility. The Bible said, the Lord is great,

  737. and to be praised greatly. I guarantee you the thrill

  738. you feel in church how to be better than eight

  739. seconds on the back of a boy. The thrill that

  740. you feel better be better than the fell of the

  741. thrill of riding bareback on a bronk.

  742. I've done it.

  743. I'm til I've wrote, until they've bucked out. Brother Jesse,

  744. I've seen the crowd go crazy and go nuts.

  745. Not for me.

  746. I never rode in the rodeo arena.

  747. I wrote out when there was nobody around, and brother Philip,

  748. where I could have died and laid.

  749. There in a pasture with broken bones and a fracture

  750. or a.

  751. Broken skull and pouring blood out of my face. Brother,

  752. I'm telling your brother Philip, I wasn't in it for

  753. people's applause, affirmation or approval.

  754. I was in it for the right.

  755. And I want you all to know I am in

  756. this thing not for affirmation, approval, or applause. But the

  757. reason why I'm doing what I'm doing right here this

  758. morning is to let you know we need to be

  759. strong in the Lord.

  760. We need to have confidence in our God. How great

  761. is our God.

  762. It's one thing to turn that on on the Christian

  763. radio station and let it play and have warm tears

  764. flowing down our face on the way to a bridle

  765. shower way to a groom's bachelor party, and then getting

  766. all choked up because we feel guilty about what we're

  767. about to do.

  768. How great is our God?

  769. Come on, I'm telling you it's gonna take more than

  770. a little prayer and a little feel good before the

  771. high school football game. It's gonna get ripped down to

  772. twenty four to seven, three hundred and sixty.

  773. Five days a week.

  774. I'm gonna stand for the things the warrior Jesus Christ.

  775. Himself stood for it. I'm gonna stand for the word

  776. of God.

  777. There was people before us that lost their life simply

  778. for the teachings of this blessed book. There are people

  779. in heaven right now that died for standing for this

  780. blessed book.

  781. There are people in heaven.

  782. Right now that died simply for owning a copy of

  783. what gets stuck in the back seat of some of

  784. our automobiles.

  785. There are people in heaven right now, women that.

  786. Are worshiping at Jesus' feet full of joy and glory,

  787. who died for this book.

  788. Are y'all listening to me?

  789. While there's some people of this generation letting this book

  790. collect a quarter inch of dust on their fireplace mantle,

  791. I want you to know the mentality of most of

  792. these mothers was probably just let the midwives do away

  793. with my babies. Whenever a pharaoh that knew, not Joseph,

  794. decreed they get too strong. I want every male Hebrew

  795. baby to be murdered on the spot. Them Hebrew midwives.

  796. Here's what they said. This midwife ain't a murderer.

  797. And also them women, them Hebrew women, they were warriors.

  798. The Egyptian and the Hebrew midwives reached the conclusion these

  799. women don't deliver like Egyptian women deliver. It's in about

  800. they said, before they even get to the tent, the

  801. screamen's done halted, and there's a baby in the mama's arms.

  802. What they were saying, Brother Jesse Howell, is we can

  803. tell there's another baby in a tent to be murdered

  804. here in about thirty minutes.

  805. But these warrior like Hebrew women are.

  806. Squatting and delivering themselves of their child so quickly before

  807. we can collect our instruments, before we can get our

  808. axes and whatever else instruments of destruction we can pull

  809. up and put in our medical bag.

  810. When we get there, the babies gone.

  811. There's nowhere for a mother to go when she's in labor,

  812. asked brother Jeremiah, waved Brother Jeremiah. I was preaching a

  813. sermon and I talked about Brother Jeremiah's sister Leah delivering

  814. their child as she went into triage at.

  815. The hospital, and I said, who knows the next time

  816. they may deliver in a car. That was the very

  817. next baby that they had.

  818. Although they had been to the hospital several times within

  819. that week, and had been in the hospital bed in

  820. the right area of the hospital, in the labor and

  821. delivery room several times that week for many hours, the

  822. word of the Lord was true. It bring true right

  823. out here at the handy store now of Florida. After

  824. God's sending her home a couple of times, the word

  825. of the Lord was true. The word of the Lord

  826. was true, and Brother Jeremiah delivered his baby boy, Ezra

  827. with his own bare hands. And his little baby boy,

  828. Ezra had a cord and wrapped around his neck. A

  829. few times he started turning blue, and started turning purple,

  830. and started dying in his daddy's arms. His daddy didn't panic,

  831. Brother Sterret, that's my oldest son. He unwrapped that chord

  832. from around that neck and probably done something he's never

  833. done for in public. He cried out, Jesus helped us.

  834. I'm so glad it wasn't through beer stained breath. The

  835. Bible told us to be so reminded.

  836. I feel the Holy Ghost in this place. I'm telling you,

  837. God's wanting to help somebody. He's speaking to somebody in

  838. this building today. How many of you are comfortable with

  839. the arrangement that God has made in your life. I'm

  840. very comfortable with the arrangement that God has made in

  841. my life.

  842. I could fight that, I could.

  843. Abandon this position as pastor, and I could abandon my

  844. faithfulness to the House of God, where Brother would all

  845. the tall that he would take on the lives of

  846. so many people, Brother Jeremiah. When the children of God

  847. were too strong for the adversaries to control, then the

  848. adversary says, you know what, we need to do something

  849. about it?

  850. Yes, you know what just means to me.

  851. There was no tender and soft place in the heart

  852. of Pharaoh for the Hebrews. This cruel leader saw the

  853. Hebrews increased population, and he decided it was time to

  854. set forth a decree of population control. And he decreed

  855. that all midwives were to kill all male Hebrew babies.

  856. But he miscalculated somewhere. He miscalculated because he overlooked.

  857. The warrior spirit of the Hebrews. It bothers me when

  858. preachers act like they ain't gonna make it right. It

  859. bothers me.

  860. When ministries act like they ain't gonna make it It

  861. bothers me when parents act like, what's the use? We

  862. might as well just give up and give out on

  863. my kid, Brother Jesse. Every time you say Martin, your

  864. say a warrior. Every time you say Martin, get down

  865. off the top of that playhouse, your say.

  866. A warrior, Get down off the top of that playhouse.

  867. I feel it too, brother Jordan.

  868. Every time you say Martin, be careful crossing up street,

  869. you're saying, hey, warlike boy, be careful crossing that street.

  870. The devil miscalculated somewhere.

  871. He didn't take for his consideration that every one of

  872. them Hebrew women feared God, and they would not do

  873. as He has commanded them, but they would choose to

  874. spare their lives and the lives of their children. As

  875. Abraham was a warrior, so were these midwives. The Bible

  876. tells us that the Hebrew women were warriors as well.

  877. When it came time to give birth. They weren't wimpy

  878. as the Egyptian women were. It makes it very clear

  879. to me that Moses' parents were warriors. Moses's parents were warriors.

  880. Parents, are you warriors?

  881. Because of this, Moses' life was spared at the time

  882. of Moses's birth, simply because his mother refused to cry

  883. and hopelessness and despair until the midwife's king plucked her

  884. child out of her arms.

  885. How many of you have ever said, Oh, they're not

  886. gonna get my child, not over my dead body. There's

  887. a few people that you know that would have that

  888. mentality in that mindset. There's some of them in this building.

  889. But there's some Brother Jesse that because of fear of

  890. pressure and fear, they would allow the government to take

  891. their babies.

  892. Out of their arms. And I want you to know something.

  893. Anybody that wilt how the government to take a fire

  894. on them out of your arm, you're the same person

  895. that had allow them to take a child out of you.

  896. Even the founding fathers do the importance of us having

  897. firearms in order to protect ourself from tyranny of government.

  898. And I'm sorry if I hair let grandma or hurt

  899. anybody's feelings.

  900. But the same ones that will hand over their guns

  901. and their firearms.

  902. Are the same one that will allow a filthy, nasty

  903. doctor to enter their word and rip the gift of

  904. wife the marty. I'm saying, be strong in the Lord.

  905. I know of a woman right now that will not

  906. have a baby, sister brought.

  907. Simply because she's afraid of the pain involved in having

  908. a baby. You know what, No, Pa, ain't no game,

  909. right man.

  910. Sister Meghan's not here this morning, but on that last delivery,

  911. Brother Samer said, Papa, come in here, let's pray.

  912. I want you to see how bad she's.

  913. Hurting, Brother Jesse. She's pretty strong. She has a high

  914. tolerance to pain. I didn't hear a whimper, scream, not

  915. one bit, but I saw her. Her head was rotting

  916. ninety degrees and she was staring at the ceiling and

  917. clenching them teeth and Brother Jesse, I didn't hear speak

  918. a word for thirty minutes, and I thought she may

  919. be quiet, but inside there's.

  920. The spirit of old boy, you, sister, whom I'm a

  921. feeling God. I got tears running down my face. I thought, man,

  922. you wouldn't guess it but there's a warrior right there.

  923. I'd never guessed it. She was set to big.

  924. I knew she had a lot to her, a lot

  925. more than people realize her Brother Jesse up the.

  926. Hall, there was a woman in their scream I can't

  927. do this. I can't do this, I can't do this.

  928. When I hear a preacher, it's supposed to be God

  929. called God, she say I can't do it. I question

  930. everything about his make up. You testify to the.

  931. Glory of the devolt when you say, I don't know

  932. if I could travel up the road another week. I

  933. don't know, if I could go to another outreach. I

  934. don't know if I can teach her Sunday school class

  935. another Sunday. I don't know if I can past her

  936. at church another week. It's not supposed to be you

  937. doing it anyway. It's supposed to be Him doing it

  938. through you, Him inside doing it through us. Brother Jesse,

  939. I didn't raise you, buddy, Jesus raised you through me.

  940. The Word of God raised you through me. When Jeremy

  941. Howell said this is probably the way we should do

  942. it in the Word of God said no, this is

  943. the way you should do it. I said, you know what,

  944. we'll forget about how Jeremy thought we should do it

  945. the word God said, do it differently, and.

  946. That's the same thing you're gonna have to do raising

  947. them boys.

  948. Raise.

  949. Yeah.

  950. Yeah, my humanity struggled with me choosing to not raise

  951. my kids in the Little League.

  952. And being there every Saturday, but choosing to make them

  953. part of a homeless ministry and stuff.

  954. I still remember the wind ups. I still remember arguing

  955. with the reps. I still remember catching the ball. I

  956. still remember throwing it as the man goes down the

  957. field and practice Slady to be a quarterback for the

  958. Mobile High School. I still I remember being point guard

  959. he have pp over the Christian Conference.

  960. I still remember all the moves. I still remember all

  961. the plays. I still remember all of the sounds and

  962. all the noises and every.

  963. Times, Brother Jesse, I thought, you know what, my son

  964. had looked pretty cute, one of them little football outfits

  965. running around with a little helmet on his head.

  966. He looked pretty cute.

  967. I hope to God I'm not depriving him of something

  968. that I experienced.

  969. I'm revealing to you my humanity.

  970. Wow.

  971. But sister Wooten, I'll tell you what built their character

  972. and what brought the cure for cancer. Cause instead on

  973. Saturday would go to a little town called Fort Meet

  974. or Lakeland, the end of the bell and when they

  975. were little tiny had top open the tailgate on that

  976. pickup truck and shut all their little hides down with

  977. their mama on the end of the tailgate. And instead

  978. of having them in the little league, right, they listened

  979. to Danny Pree And that's precious sister back there crying

  980. and weep on the back. Pew has been with me

  981. now but sixteen years. When I came to La Belle

  982. seventeen years ago, she was the first one.

  983. That I got and wanted to come here.

  984. Right down here, just on the south side of the bridge,

  985. near the honey house I was preaching. You'll know that

  986. big field where they had the big Christmas party next

  987. to the library.

  988. That's where my truck was parked. Brother Jesse, then you

  989. were this age coming to Marca. Oh, Michael coming. This

  990. is Jesse's oldest son, Brother Jesse's oldest son. Last night

  991. you come over to see Poppa. I walked up on him.

  992. I think he was quote five chapters of the Bible,

  993. five chapters you're not missing a word or a verse.

  994. He's in kindergarten this year. What good will that do?

  995. We'll see because he said, thy word, have I hid

  996. in my heart? That I might not sin against God?

  997. That everybody likes to talk about David, and they like

  998. to talk about that. One time he stumbled, but David could.

  999. Commit adultery with any woman in the land of Israel.

  1000. As he says, you.

1001. Still diet coke from the handy store. Right, David did

1002. not have an adulterous spirit. As soon as he thought

1003. he had defollowed himself, he said, creating me a clean heart.

1004. Old God, and renew a right spirit within me. David

1005. was quite the man of God.

1006. But Brother Jesse, he's the one that probably quoted Jesse

1007. when he said, thy word, have I hid in my

1008. heart that I might not sin against the Brother Jesse.

1009. I walked up on it. You weren't doing it for

1010. me to hear, but I walked up on.

1011. It, and I thought, how could a little child at

1012. that age has just learned how to read, How could

1013. he quote so much Bible?

1014. And I stood in the.

1015. Darkness, brother stare at and I listen, and I heard

1016. Maca tell his uncles. He said, every night, my daddy

1017. has us dough scripture, memorization and recitation. He said, then

1018. he prays. And Jesse told you all a couple months ago,

1019. he said, my daddy speaking of your pastor, He said,

1020. every night he walked down that hallway, stand between the

1021. hallway at the entry over these doors at the end

  1022. of that hallway, and.

1023. He would talk to us about the Bible.

1024. Quote the Bible, and he said, I remember one of

1025. the verses he always quoted before. He prayed, Brother Jesse,

1026. you told the church a secret, Brother Nathaniel, wrote that

1027. beautiful song that y'all sang, Dear Pastor appreciation.

1028. He said, what these people don't know, he said, every

  1029. night while I lived.

1030. In my dad's household, he would pray, he said, I

1031. never understood until I became a daddy.

1032. He would pray, should you come or call? I wanna

1033. be ready? Should you come or call? Help me to

  1034. be ready.

1035. I was teaching his little baby sister, howell, Jesus may

1036. come back, or Daddy may die a traffic.

1037. Accident and be called home. Should you come or call?

1038. When people look at it, Brother Jesse, and they say

1039. that's good, and they'll give your brother a job.

1040. Hohen you're married. But at the end of the day,

1041. what we want him to do. We wanted to see

1042. past Us and we want to see Jesus.

1043. For that is the very reason why we're doing what

1044. we're doing, the very reason why Moses.

1045. Took the life of that Egyptian warrior that day that

  1046. was abusing his people.

1047. Y'all remember, Moses was torn between two nationalities. He had

1048. been adopted by Pharaoh's daughter, but his mama, Jocobin, lived

1049. out there among the people of God. And the Bible said,

1050. on a certain day, Moses walked out of the palace

1051. of Pharaoh. He went down there beyond the middle class.

1052. He went on out there to the land of Goshen,

1053. where the lower class was, where the slaves were, and

1054. among them slaves he watched.

1055. He is the grandson of the mighty Pharaoh. He's watching.

1056. He's a leader of one of the Egyptian armies.

  1057. I know.

1058. At one place in his eighties Moses said, I'm of

1059. slow speech, I'm not of eloquent speech.

1060. Josephus, the famous historian, said that Moses was mighty in

1061. the Egyptian language, and he was very eloquent in his speech,

1062. and Josephus said Moses was a renowned warrior, and so

1063. there's no doubt them Egyptian guard when they saw Moses

1064. show up out on the outskirts on gooshin and watching

  1065. the way.

1066. They were abusing the Hebrew people, they tried to notice.

1067. He began to pace like a lion.

1068. Y'all wanna go to Culver's or y'all wanna hear some preaching,

1069. they said. Moses standing out to his brother philipp and

1070. he saw one of them Egyptians unnecessarily meeting one of them.

1071. He were men, and Moses confronted him. And just as

  1072. soon as that Egyptian.

1073. Guard, well trained God challenged Moses, Moses took him with

1074. his bare hands and broke his neck. And the Bible

1075. said Moses was the meekest and one of the mildest

1076. men of God to ever live.

1077. But when it comes to the enemy, he took it

  1078. with his bare hand.

1079. As a matter, if it's David bear handed killing a bear,

1080. and a lion of Moses bare handed killing an Egyptian guard,

1081. I want you all to know, greater is He that

1082. is within us, and Heath that's in the world. We

1083. had to have a warrior spirit of warrior mentality, and

1084. the Bible said when Moses buried that Egyptian guard, that

1085. the Hebrews begin to talk about it.

1086. Word spread that the grandson of Pharaoh had killed.

1087. One of the Egyptian guards, and Moses spent forty years

1088. on the backside of the wilderness in Haidi until he

1089. met a landowner, a property owner that had a lot of.

1090. Sheep named Jethrow. He started working as a shepherd, Brother Philip.

1091. I wonder how long it took that man to lose

1092. the Egyptian garment, And one day he put on that

  1093. garment that his people.

1094. Have been wearing. God knows how to get you back

1095. where you need to be.

1096. I'm sure when he first showed up in the wilderness

1097. he had on an Egyptian guard royalty guarbs.

1098. Brother Gufort. That won't do you no good in the wilderness.

1099. That'll do you plenty of good in the palace, but

1100. that won't do any good in the backside of the wilderness.

1101. At some point he became a shepherd, and for forty years,

1102. Brother Philip, he lived out there, driving sheep to herd

1103. the sheep and the Bible said, one of them days,

1104. on the backside of the wilderness, there was a bush

1105. that began to burn, and out of that bush came

1106. a voice that said Moses. Moses, and Moses took off

1107. the shoes because the Lord said, the place that you're

  1108. standing on.

  1109. Is holy ground.

1110. And an eighty year old warrior that had been in

1111. the wilderness learning how not to be in Egyptian.

1112. There's some of you you need to forget how to

1113. be like this world. You've learned way too much about

  1114. this world.

1115. When Jesus said not to have the spirit of the world,

1116. Jesus said, if fey men loved that spirit of this world,

1117. the love of Father's not any When Moses had forgot

1118. everything about Egyptian life, God spoke to him and said.

1119. What I want you to do.

1120. He's an eighty year old man.

1121. Now he's an eighty year old warrior though, once a martin,

1122. always a mark. Yeah, but he's just an old, decrepit

1123. old man. No, the Bible said, his natural force.

1124. Had not even a baby.

  1125. That's right.

1126. Once a warrior, always a warrior, once a marine, always

1127. a marine, Brother, Caleb, But you come to the pen

1128. of brother. I've never really followed boxing. But I remember

1129. in my high school years that was the time of

1130. Mike Tyson. The world worshiped Mike Tyson. They expected him

1131. and every arena and every ring to knock his a

1132. going out in mere minutes.

1133. Brother Jesse, he looked like a warrior, but when he spoke,

1134. he sounded like a whimp. He did. He had a

1135. high pitch, female like voice, but he looked like a beast.

1136. When he was in the ring. He got old brother Samuel.

1137. They tell me, just in the last couple of weeks,

1138. after much training, endurance training, performance training, he got mareena

  1139. once again.

1140. I guess the general consensus.

1141. And their conclusion is he threw the fight on purpose,

1142. because anybody that knew Iron Mike and his glory days knude.

1143. His method, and they knew how he fought, and they

1144. knew he was just making some money and making somebody

1145. else some money. But this is what I want to

  1146. tell you.

1147. Muhammad Ali, after fighting all the year's brother Beuford, he

1148. developed some sort of Alzheimer's and dementia from trauma to

1149. the brain. And they said, Muhammad al Lei, sometime we

1150. just sit in his house cut over his hands in

  1151. a boxing posture position.

1152. Say he just stare at the wall for hours, he said.

1153. One day Mike Tassin, who looked up to Muhammad Ali,

  1154. said I'm.

1155. Want to come over and see that's my hero.

1156. I can't stand seeing him like that. Now, mic said,

1157. I want to see if the fighters at him. And

1158. so Muhammad Ali's daughter, I believe it was, took Mike

1159. Taisha into the living room where Muhammad Ali sat in there,

1160. old his doves up, you know, so to speak, just

1161. staring at the wall, he said. Mike Tassa got in

1162. his face and there came a smile on Muhammad Ali's face.

1163. And I don't know exactly what mac Tasha said, but

1164. they said he said something like is it still in

  1165. their fighter?

1166. And said he stepped back and said watch defeat. Muhammad

1167. watched defeat and said he went to doing the Muhammad

1168. Ali footwork, Brother Thomas Sterre, from what I've been told,

1169. Tysi could do it as good now that he's older

1170. than he was when as a kid. And they said,

1171. Muhammad Ali got this wrink and grinned as he watched

1172. their feet and they knew right then, brother Jacob, the

1173. spirit of the Warrior's still there. The spirit is willing,

1174. but the flesh is weak. This is why I have

1175. to crucify the flesh and say.

1176. God, would you please help me to do what I

1177. need to do for my children's sake.

1178. And I want to tell your brother Jesse and sister Hannah,

1179. for their sake and for God's glory, to please continue

1180. doing what you're doing and raising m in.

1181. The house of the Lord, because I truly believe the

1182. church at large will see it.

1183. One day. They will see that out of the household

1184. of Jesse, Howell has come forth warriors, great men of God.

1185. I want to read a poem. I'm not even halfway

1186. through the sermon. I just feel like God speaking of

1187. so many people, even beyond to parents. Today, I want

1188. to read this poem, What is a boy made of?

1189. Between the innocence of boyhood and the dignity of manhood,

1190. we find a delightful creature called a boy.

1191. Boys come into sordid sizes.

1192. Weights and colors, But allays have the same creed to

1193. enjoy every second of every minute of every hair of

1194. every day, and to protest with noise. They're only with

1195. it when the last minute is finished and the adult

  1196. males packed them off.

1197. To bed at night. Yes, boys are found everywhere, on.

1198. Top of underneath, inside of swinging, from running around or

1199. jumping to Mothers love them, little girls hate him. Older

1200. brothers and sister tolerate them, adults ignore them, and Heaven

  1201. protects it.

1202. A boy is truth with dirt on his face, beauty.

1203. With a cut on his finger, wisdom with bubblegum in

1204. his hair, and the hope of the future with a frog.

1205. In his pocket. You can lock them out of the kitchen,

1206. but not out of your heart.

1207. And when you're mad enough to blister their height, all

1208. he has to do to cool your angers.

1209. Come up and put his arms around you and say

  1210. I love you.

1211. Yes, the dear Lord shall create is something marvelous when

1212. he made little boys. I want Brother Jesse and Sister

1213. Hannah to bring Martin forward at this time. Would you

1214. stand with us church, Brother Jesse. They will not become

1215. warriors by accident. They will have to be trained to

1216. be warriors. M Brother Jesse and Sister Hannah. It is

1217. a beautiful thing to behold, said you. To dedicate one

1218. more child to the Lord, It's a beautiful thing to witness.

1219. March parents, Brother Jesse and Sister Hannah bringing their little

1220. one back to the Lord Jesus. He gave bart to them,

1221. and now they are giving him back to this But

1222. Jesse and Sister Hannah, believing that this child is in

1223. fact a beautiful gift from the Lord, and that He

1224. shall hold you to accountable in that great judgment days

1225. he stands before God as his instructors of Christ, you are,

1226. and that your God shall hold you to accountable from

1227. what you have done with him regarding instruction in this life.

1228. Do you solemnly agree that it is your purpose to dedicate.

1229. This lovely child to the Lord in his service. Do

1230. you realize what you're saying when you say, I'm willing

1231. to allow him to be a warrior for Jesus? Do

1232. you realize the risk As the son of a father,

1233. Brother Jesse, that has been a warrior.

  1234. You see the.

1235. Scars that your father bearers. In time, you too will

1236. bear similar scars. All warriors bear stars, most are.

1237. Not visible by those whom they protect.

1238. With that in mine, Brother Jesse and Sister Hannah, will

1239. you too instruct him faithfully? And will you two bring

1240. him up to the nurture and the admonition of the

1241. Lord Will you faithfully teach him and the doctrines of

1242. the Christian faith, And will you teach him to read

1243. the Word of God and to pray.

1244. As you've done the others.

1245. Will you teach him to live a holy life where

1246. you bring him to the house of worship every time

1247. the doors are open. Will you do everything in your

1248. power to bring him to the knowledge that Jesus is

  1249. his Lord and Savior.

  1250. Amen.

1251. For those of you that would help us pray with

1252. y'all gather and around at this time we're going to pray,

1253. anoint the child with wid and pray and ask God

1254. to biss this little faith before.

1255. M raising noon's side. The three already said your words, so.

  1256. That already.

1257. Loves nice for the hour.

1258. To get there and some help raise up.

1259. Or the way the window help.

1260. Me ham and d of your son lit.

  1261. Three deed.

1262. Not a law lady, w mm hmm, don't give him

  1263. my ches, Let.

  1264. Me therese so.

  1265. Raise up.

  1266. To the day.

  1267. Will be standing.

  1268. In a sense of.

  1269. This world.

1270. Would try to break him, make him listen a man

1271. who will teach you to Jesus.

  1272. Andrea see.

1273. Raise him up in Yorking.

1274. Don we you Jesus are sweet Raise up up your son.

  1275. Let the re.

1276. See the battles already, and you may return to your seat.

1277. I want to just sink some more of the song

1278. before the discs. Listen carefully to the words, God, help

1279. us to be the warriors of this generation, raise them,

1280. help us to raise upside.

1281. Sinks some more of that.

1282. Brother, you're seeing the doors.

1283. Teaching him. Your stand up being.

  1284. For me.

  1285. Got you.

1286. God today, Raise up, raise up your sound. Let the

1287. reading say the battles all. If God means a rising,

  1288. it's the victory.

  1289. So raise up below.

1290. What would be the opposite of raising warrior? Raising a whiff,

1291. Brother Philip said, you may be seated. I don't want
