I would like to direct your attention to Exitus, chapter

number fifteen and verse number three. It is so good

to see all of you in the House of the Lord.

This morning, each visitor, so good to have your year.

One of our full time evangelists teens are here. The

Bronx is so good to have them here this morning.

Little while ago, a full house of just beautiful people.

Brother Nathaniel, do you have a microphone there with you?

Turn with me to Acts chapter number seven. You will

be reading verses number twenty three through twenty five. Brother

Jesse's Secred Corinthians, chapter number four and verse number seven Again,

Brother Nathaniel, Acts chapter number seven, Versus number twenty three,

twenty four, and twenty five, and Brother Jesse Second Corinthians,

Chapter number four and verse number seven. Sister Hannah, do

you have baby Martin? They're with you right now. Is

Brother Jesse, would you stand up? We're going to dedicate

Brother Jesse. Would you stand to Sister Hannah with baby Martin?

Brother Jesse and sister Hannah's baby boy, baby Martin. Turned

Is it he adorable?

Look at him in that dedication outfit and he looks

so handsome. Thank your brother Jesse and Sister Hannah. We're

going to give back.

To the Lord what he gave to us.

These parents are going to give back to the Lord

what he gave to them. Brother Nathaniel, Acts chapter number seven,

Verses number twenty three through twenty five. And when he

was full forty years old, it came into his heart

to visit his brethren, the children of Israel, and seeing

one of them suffer wrong, he defended him and a

bend him that was oppressed, and.

Smote the Egyptian.

For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that

God by his hand would deliver.

Them, but they understood not.

Moses was a warrior, and his mission was a mission

with a purpose to help.

Others and better their lives.

It was always about others, from the very beginning when

he was four days old, when he was forty years old,

and when he was eighty years old. Brother Jesse's such

a Corinthians, Chapter number four and verse number seven. But

we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency

of the power may be of God and not of us.

He was who he was because of the power of God.

Let's stand for the reading of our golden text. We

exit as chapter number fifteen, verse number three. These are

the words of a warrior speaking from his heart. You'll

notice our golden text is the words of Moses that

were written and saying after the Egyptian army, in pursuit

of God's people were drowned in the Red Sea. Again

our golden text Exodus, chapter number fifteen, verse number three,

the Bible.

Says, the Lord is a man of war. The Lord

is his name? Can we pray?

Heavenly Father, we love him, We praise you. We thank

you for the opportunity to be in your house this morning.

I thank you for the spirit of God that we

have felt in this place. Truly great joy is present. Lord,

we understand the seriousness and the gravity of this situation.

Lord, as we can hold the reverence approach your.

Throng boldly to obtain grace in this time of need

of dedicating baby Marty and giving him back to you

on behalf of the parents.

We pray you would know what this service. Set a

guard at my mouth, and.

Help me to say the things you would have me

to say, nothing more or less. And knowing the years

of this note people, that they might hear what the

Spirit of God says this morning, concern and what this

child could be would give you the praise and honor

and the glory in Jesus' name in the church says Amen,

as you're being seated, let's look at our golden text again. Exodus,

chapter number fifteen and verse number three. The Bible said,

the Lord is a man of war.

The Lord is his name.

Our text is found in an Old Testament book of

the Holy Bible, the Book of Exodus. Most of the

people in this building are quite familiar with the stories

found in this second book of sixty six books comprised

of the Holy Divine Sacred writ the Divine Library.

The title of this book.

Drops a not so subtle hint in regards to the

most exciting story in this book, and that is the

story of the Great Exodus of the descendants of Abraham,

Isaac and Jacob. They left the land of their captivity

to find the land of promise. Those of you that

are familiar with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as characters in

the Bible, and these biblical characters' lives, you know that

these men were men of purpose. Several months ago, while

preaching a sermon, it came to me that God took

great pleasure in identifying himself as the God of Abraham,

Isaac and Jacob. It's one thing for men to say

I am a child of God, but it's another for

God Almighty to say I Am the God of such men.

And so we know that those three patriarchs of faith, Abraham, Isaac,

and Jacob eviditely God fearing men on a mission. And

if you'll study the lives of those men, you will

find them to be warriors. I was praying and asking

the Lord for a sermon specific for this baby dedication.

I didn't want to reach into a minister's manual or

a sermon book. I wanted to pull something out of

the portals of glory, if God would permit and allow

me to and if He was speaking to my heart,

something specific, because I knew you could just find them

a diamond dozen in a minister's manual. How many times

have we heard the sermon of hand of bringing her

son Samuel to the Lord, dedicating him to the Lord.

That is a beautiful story, and I've preached from that story.

Many times, but a lot of times.

The reason why you're so familiar with that during a

baby dedication.

Is because that story is the most.

Common one you'll find in a minister's manual. So concerning

these baby dedications, I never allow myself.

To pick up a minister's manuel.

I don't want something that's cookie cutter or something that's

just running the bill. I want something that is serving specific.

I felt in my heart as though brother Jesse and

his wife, as father and mother, were asking God to

speak to them concerning this child. You will remember the

messenger of the Lord named Gabriel. The Messenger Gabriel, the

Messenger Gabriel.

He came and he spoke concerning Jesus.

He spoke specifically to marry and then later on the

messenger spoke specifically to Joseph.

About their child.

You will remember the wife of Manoah. You will remember

Samson's mother heard from the messenger prior.

To her conceiving her wound had been buried.

It was past age for a lot of these women

that miraculously conceived to conceive a child. But a heavenly

messenger spoke to them concerning their child.

There's a lot of you.

Your child is going into a world of sin, and

sometimes you come to church hanging on by a thread

to hope.

You say, God, speak to me, and just give.

Me the smallest measure of hope, even if it's just faith.

It's like the grain of a mustard syy, the smallest

measure of faith and hope.

Just give me hope and faith. It's not that I'm.

Short on love for my child, but I need a

word from God. I need that preacher to drop a

nugget in my hand that I could clutch and grasp

and pull to my bosom and say, God, you are

mindful of my child. He's a drunker today, he's a

drug addict. She is living a life promiscuity. I taught

her better than that. I raised her in the.

House of God.

But she's out there. She's going beyond sewing her wild hoap.

She's reaping it. She's got a werehouse full of her sin.

She's got a wearhouse full of the fruit of her sin.

Her labor for sin has been very productive and it's great,

But during that service you get more than a thread

of hope, You get a rope of hope, and you

get off of that slippery slope of despair and darkness.

Sometimes simple because God speaks to you about your child.

You know, concerning the name of a child, the Bible said,

a good name is rather to be chosen than great

riches and love and favor, rather than silver and gold. Parents,

pray about the naming of your child. Ask God to

speak into your heart concerning your child's name. Every child,

the sister holl And I brought into this world by

the goodness and the grace of God. We prayed for

a lengthy period of time for their names.

Just about every time.

After several months, God spoke into my heart during the

time of prayer their first and their middle name. I

pray that they live up to their name, because God

has given.

Them some war wonderful names.

When you inquire the meaning of their name is just

so encouraging. I remember, if we had a trend, we

had a custom, We're gonna name our children names that

begin with a letter J. You got Jeremiah, you got Jesse,

And for sure I was going to name my third

son a name that begin with a letter J, and

I just couldn't find peace with it. I said, God,

what would you have me name it? Then one night,

about one o'clock in the morning, I was laying on

my face with my King James translation Bible, and I

was a prayer and seeking God.

Let a God into that time of prayer.

God overshadowed me, and I begin to tremble and the

quake and the goodness of God, and I felt such.

Joy and peace that passed all understanding. And he said,

his name shall be Nathaniel.

I knew right then, the sister how probably wouldn't understand

why we were breaking away from names that begin with

a letter J. But I knew what God has said.

His name shall be Nathaniel. He said, it's Nathaniel whom

I called in the Word of God.

He shall be an Israeli, the spiritual Israeli. Indeed, in

whom is no God.

He said.

He will be honest to the core.

He will be sincere, and he will be genuine, he

will be trustworthy, he will be a people, a person

that people like. I want you to know that there's

more to that story than what I'm letting on because

there were other how Old children, probably ten more whose

names begin with the letter J.

But because God said, so.

I broke the mold, I was the first one to

dare to break the mold.

We were running out of jays because.

Every name that began with jay at that time it

had to be a biblical name. Somehow the girls got

out of that. Some of their names began with other

letters besides the letter J. But all the Howell men

were naming their sons names that begin with a letter J.

Let's go, shall we Jeremy, Jonathan, Jerry, Joseph, James, Jason, John, Joshua,

And it goes on and on and on. But that night,

at the time of prayer, he said his name shall

be called Nathaniel. And I was praying, and I said, God,

I noticed that for the first time, brother Jesse has

sidesed up the biblical name. I said, He's had Micah, David,

He's had Malachi Obadiah.

He said Maxon that named Max's in the Bible. If

I'm not.

Mistaken, is the name Martin in the Bible, Not that

I know of. I said, it seemed like brother Jesse

has broken a family trendy has stepped outside.

Of a biblical name, and I said, I don't have

an ouse the problem with that.

I'm not concerned about that a bit, because I know

that Dad is a praying man. I said, God, I

surely would like to know why you have steered brother

Jesse and his wife in this direction. Now, if it

had been a little baby girl, I doubt God would

have steered them in the direction of naming her after

the infamous and notorious biblical character Jezebel. I doubt that

he would want to go back to the trend and

the family tradition of the beginning the names beginning with

the letter Jay, and named his son Judas. So I

was praying, I said, God, I know that you've done

a miraculous thing in the heart and alive for brother Jesse.

There's a reason for this, And sister.

Women, I was praying, and I began to think about

a warrior, and I went back to a time in

that same single white trailer that I told you about

a little while ago, that was being picked on with

the pebbles of a bully. Sister how and I were

unable to have children at that time because of a

box surgery that took place. After the birth of our

firstborn son, Jeremiah, I came home from church on a

Sunday night. I laid down there in the floor. Then

I brought.

Myself up on the cushion of the love seat.

Then I got back in the floor and I said, God,

I feel like it's your will that we.

Have another child. I believe God, it's your will.

And as I was just praying and loving on Jesus

and glorifying his name, the power of God overshadowed me

again again to tremble, and it was just the lady.

There was just so much joy and so much peace

and passed understanding, and prophetically I prayed, I said, his

name shall be Jesse.

And then in the spirit I asked.

A question, God, do you still raise up men among

men nowadays? And then I pray further, God, do you

still raise up men of God among men?

In this day?

Nine months later Jesse was born, but prophetically God revealed

to me that his name would be Jesse. And as

I was praying, I'm again to remember about what happened

so many years prior, and then I thought, he is

far ordained to raise up men of God. God, do

you still raise up men of God in this day.

I thank God for girls. I love girls. I appreciate girls. Y'all.

Tell you who's got my heart. My granddaughters have my heart,

and so do my grandsons.

But I realized, this man right here, it's been ordained

of God that he raised up men of God in

this generation, all the.

Responsibility he shouldered.

And as I prayed, I realized the Bible said that

Jesse went as a man among men, even in an

old age, just among his peers, he was recognized as

just someone that was a start, someone that was a warrior. Well,

no wonder most of his sons enlisted in the Israeli Army,

including the famous wonderful King David. So I was a

prayer on that Sister Moton, and I just felt like

the Lord said, look.

Up to me in another name Martin. I said, okay, Lord,

I'll do that. You know what the meaning of the

name Martin is warrior. So I want to preach.

A message the Holy Ghost child or wants a Martin

always a Martin.

I borrowed that statement or that slogan from the United

States Marine Corps. What's a marine always a marine?

Right? What's a marine? Always a marine. What's a martin?

Always a martin?

Looking at our golden text again, Moses is writing.

The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is

his name.

Not only is he writing, he's singing right at the

time that these words are spoken. They're spoken through Saul,

by the mighty notable warrior, Moses, the leader over God's people.

Are words of our golden text or words of a

written as saying by Moses and the Chunden of Israel

after the Egyptian army who were in suit.

Of goth people who were drowned in the red seat.

Thank God for spiritual warriors and physical warriors, natural warriors,

people that are willing to fight for others.

I consider the characteristics and.

The traits of warriors and system would most of the time.

I reached the conclusion. After analyzing every.

Real warrior's life, I reached the conclusion that they were

not in it for themselves.

They were always in it for others. So y'all imagine

with me the strong emotion.

Being manifested in that very moment as Moses returns glory, honor,

and praise after.

He's been an instrument in the hand of God. He

declares God to be the warrior. The Lord is a warrior.

The Lord is.

A man of war.

He said, That is why we have great joy in

our heart.

That is why we feel this unspeakable glory in her heart.

Just imagine with me as Maryam took the tambourine and

stood beside that baby brother of hers, whom God used

her as a warrior also to spare his life.

Imagine as she literally looked up.

To him out of the corner of her eye and

realized what God had done for their.

Mother, Jacobin, who was also a warrior.

Imagine the strong. Are you feeling strong emotion this morning?

That's God working in your heart. Are you feeling a

joy that you don't feel any other day.

Of the week. Don't abandon that, get a hold of it.

Moses was experiencing great joy and amazement because of what

God did through him, because of his willingness to be

warrior for God.

Amen.

How many people present today know there's a great difference

between the land of one's nativity and the land of

their captivity.

There's a great difference.

Between the land of one's nativity and the land of

one's captivity. There was a time that Moses's family was

in the land of their captivity. For those who are

unaware of how the children Jacob ended up serving as

slaves under the iron fists of the Great Pharaoh of Egypt,

allowed me to walk you through the narrative. One may

remember that there came a time in the life of

Jacob when he traveled into Egypt to sustain the lives

of his family.

It was about others.

There was a time when he made comfortable arrangements in

the land of Egypt for their lodging because of his

son Joseph. Joseph had been promoted to a high place

in the government. If you would, he became Lieutenant Pharaoh's

second only to Pharaoh. Because of this, Joseph's relatives lived

in peace in the land of Goshen for a moment,

and that moment lasted four hundred years.

Plus.

It was a time of tremendous growth for the descendants

of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God allowed them to settle

for a time of growth.

Not only did.

The people of Abraham, the children of God, the Israelites

to Israelis, noticed this tremendous growth taking place. Also, the

Egyptians noticed this very thing as well, that God was

prospering the family of Jacob, just as Joseph had prophesied

that it would happen, and just as Joseph the Warrior

had made sure.

That it happened. Amen, get quiet right here in this building

this morning.

So the Hebrews became too strong for their enemies to handle,

the meek and the lowly Hebrews that lived a shepherd life.

The Egyptians did not appreciate the life of a shepherd

at all. In fact, the Egyptians deemed it as the

lowest of trades and occupations, and they felt like people

that lived the life of a shepherd were cursed people.

Their gods would not allow someone to live as a shepherd's.

So these shepherds become greatly blessed, and Sister William, their

enemy recognizes that these people of God have become too

great for us to hold on to. Literally, if these

people wanted to rebel, they could take over the land

of Egypt right now. And so we need to do

something about this. And this new pharaoh he forced the

hebrew people into slavery. Notice, the children of God were

too all for their adversaries for control. I wish that

the people of God would understand that greater is He

that is within you than he that is in the world.

But a lot of times we walk around with this

weakling and whimpy mentality rather than this warlick mentality, rather

than recognize them.

We are warriors for Christ.

The enemy knows the power of one saint on bended kneed.

The enemy knows the power of faithful church attendance and

obedience to scripture.

The enemy knows the power of that.

But sometimes we have this grasshopper mentality.

Y'all remember when the children of.

Israel were supposed to possess the Land of Promise. They

come back and they told Moses, they said they are

giants and we are as grasshoppers. David did not share

this grasshopper mentality. David had a warrior mentality. You want

to know why David had a warrior mentality because of

his father, JESSI recently, one of my sons told me

that they met with someone that's very influential in the

city of a Mochily. In fact, they have a lot

of control in the city of a Mochally. Not too

long ago, they employed one of our sons, and they

would like to employ another winner two or three. They

messaged me sometime back and said, do you think you

could influence some of your sons to come our way.

I said, we'll see when the time is right. So

when my.

Sons let me know that their place of business is

folded up and closing their door, I messaged them within

five minutes of receiving the phone call.

And I speak as a.

Fool, I'm just telling your parents, your junior will emulate

your life. Within five minutes or receiving the phone call

from one of my sons concerning and the fact that

their company has full up and going out of business

here at this location, I made a phone call and

immediately this other person that's very influential in call your

county in the city of a mocky league. They said,

I'm gonna let some people know we want them, we

want them to come our way. And so brother Jesse

was sick for the most part of last week, but

he went into work on Friday and they pulled him

in the office and they talked to him for about

an hour, and to make a long story short, they said,

you know, we don't even know your brother Nathaniel, but we.

Want to hire him.

And so the reason why we want to hire him

is because we've seen you come in and we've seen

the way you work, and we see the way you

treat people.

We see the way.

You appreciate our company, and you appreciate strong leadership, and

you value success, and your priorities are always in the

right place, and you take your job seriously. They said,

because of the way you work and your work ethic

and your good personality. You're good mentality, your good work mindset,

we want to hire your brother immediately. We want to

talk to him, we want to interview Nathaniel immediately. And

Jesse said the meeting was just about over and said,

I just want to tell you. What did she say,

Brother Jesse. She said, We've had a good meeting, but

I want you to know it's all props to your parents.

She said, I've never met your parents, but I've seen

how you are, and I know it's because.

Of who your parents are.

I'm not looking for brother Jesse's praise, honor, and glory

because it goes to him. The Bible said, give them

the glory that is doing to them. I'm not a

credit crook, and I'm not going to take his good work.

Ethic to be mine.

But I will tell your fathers and mothers that our

children emulate the copycat they pared us. What we do

in moderation, our children will do in excess. And sometimes

if you do a good job as a mama, that's

under the iron fist of Pharaoh. Your name's Jocobed and

you're doing the best you can to survive. And rather

than giving up and committing suicide or throwing yourself at

the Nile River among the crocodiles, you say, you know what,

We're gonna live and we're gonna survive. I'm telling this

people right here this morning. Once a Martin, always apart,

you could be a warner if you want to. Let's

go away this ripping mentality and let's put on a

warrior mentality.

Brother Philip, stand up.

I speak as a fool, But Brother Philip was diagnosed

with one of the rarest, most deadly forms of cancer

that shook my world in a way that my world

had never been shaken. And I've been through some tragic things.

I sit there in that.

Doctor's office with him, trying to make sure my knees

did start knocking, tried to make sure my hands.

Did start sweating, trying to keep beads of sweat from

rolling down my face.

And I heard God, Almighty, safety, strong in the Lord, in.

The power of his mic because Brother.

Philip and I we were anticipating bad news, because of

the situation and the way they asked us to go

to the office, and because of the expressions on the people.

When we walked in the building, a man that had

collectively in his office probably seventy five to one hundred

years of experience, he said, I don't think I've ever

handled a case so severe as this. I need to

pass this to a higher board, a higher counsel. Brother

just said there was one thing that I held on to,

and that was the spirit of a warrior. I said, God,

I've always been a fighter. I'm going to continue to

be a fighter. I never patted him on the back.

I never cried with him on bend and knee. I

never tried to coach him or coerce him into anything.

I helped him go to doctor's appointments.

I drove him when he needed to be drove, prayed

with him before he went in the operation room, prayed

for him.

When he came out.

I helped him get home, helped him get in and

out of a vh But one thing I never did

brother Nathaniel, was break down in his presence, all because

of God.

But I wanted that young man to know that there can.

Be a hope in that breast, in that bussom, there

can be a hope for the underdog.

That can be hope for the underdog.

That they may say they don't have a remedy for

that malady. They may say we don't have the answer

for that problem. They may say we don't have the

cure for that cancer. That's correct, But I know the

man of war, the Lord is a man of war.

When you're gonna gainst overwhelming odds, great is he that.

Is within me than he that is in the world.

The board of the highest of the.

Most trained and learned cancer doctors don't know how we're

gonna treat it, but I'll tell you one good knight service.

You feel not important to be in a knight service,

it could be that knight service and purges your son's

mind from permit mass murder. It could be that one

service and purchase your dollar's mind from going out and

getting drunk. And that's not dying whenever he hit the

smacks an oak tree. It could be that one service

where the prophetic word of God, that is what happened,

speaks to the preacher, to the one that's body is riddled.

It wasn't just in one or two places. How many

places did they remove it from?

About four places.

We didn't tell everybody that four places in the Torso

he's not supposed to be here.

Right now, but one night dearing the mood.

You can make your priorities whatever you want to make them.

You can put whatever you want to on a pedestal.

But warriors will always put God's in the stage. They

will always give God all the praise. They will always

elevate the name of the Lord.

And when God speaks, they will be obedient to his Lord.

Even when it says, put saint, not the assuming of

yourself together. Family, they're placing her and damn running off

like Gyrhea.

For the mouth.

It's not enough.

You need to be there in the house of God.

Will the spirit of God is moving.

That night, the hold of girl spoke to me and said,

brother Philip, go to the back door, open and cast

out cancer.

That may seem fanatical.

But so does Jacobbin telling her, the daughter Mary of

the Warrior, take this little woven basket, put your baby

brother in it. Walk down now to the bank of

the mighty Crocodile investing now river and put your baby

brother of flu in the bullrushes. That sounds pretty fanatical

to salvation, doesn't it.

Not everybody's gonna choose to be a warrior for Christ.

Not everybody's gonna choose to go to a fundamental Bible.

Believe in pure vanilla, green.

Age, true blue.

Come on now holding his church. But I will tell

you this, when God.

Is the god of that house, you could expect miracles.

And that's why Moses saw the power of God menipist it.

He'll revealed time and again in his family's life, in

the life of the people of God, is because he's

served the God of miracles to each his own and everyone.

They're entitled their opinions. You can decide to do it

different than the Howell family has done it, but I

want you to know it.

I can slap this pulpit and get your attention.

When cancer's got your son and its clutches and it's

shaking the life out of it, you better hope he's

got a warrior spirit that says, I'm not gonna caught

the God and click.

Out of here.

I'll tell you why these young men from the Howell

household are who they are today. Not so much because

of my ability to train and raise up men of God,

although I'm being humble and stating that.

But we will give the.

Credit and the honor and the glory to God, and

we will lift up the praises of the name of

the Lord. Because two, we could have been great in

the rodeo arena. I know what it is to ride

horses that are not broke. I know what it is

to do exactly what the riders on the Bronx are

doing today.

But I'll tell you, brother Philip, we might have become.

Great in the rodeo arena. The howl young men probably

would have been Come here, brother Philip, But I'll tell you.

What a rodeo bull or can't do. They can't do this.

And you know what.

Everybody may choose to go to Hell in a handbasket,

and they may choose to throw away the values and

the morals that this nation was founded on.

But there were people that left England. Y'all know that

right left Europe.

Left that continent called separatists that had a problem even

with the way the Orthodox Church was doing things. And

they came over here, and this great country is the

great country it is today because somebody had a warrior spirit.

Some mother said, you know what, we're leaving a good house,

We're leaving good jobs, we're leaving good banks, we're living,

leaving good bakeries.

How we're gonna.

Survive, how we're gonna start over, how we're gonna get

to do within, and how we're gonna change our.

Life for the matter while going over there, for the

less of what would happen now.

But they had a warrior spirit.

And when the Hammer boys received that news that.

By the end of the year they will be unemployed,

we can get upset with and cry about it that

we knew that Jehovah Jarrah is our God. By definition

that means he is our provider. Come on and have

a little stir and contest the bottle life and say

that God, he's his provider.

Even a great provider.

was a warrior.

We find one time whatever his nephew lotched that Uncle Abe,

I don't believe I'm going in that direction. I'm gonna

do things my way, and I believe that it'll work

a Gamar where there's all of that immorality taking place.

I'm gonna stay outside the gate so that people know

I'm happy and immorality and happy morality.

I'm happy in sin and I'm happy to will it goup. Hey,

come on, now, you know what happened, don't you?

At there? At different times during the life of lat

the enemy would come in and they would.

Take lock captain.

And you would think that Abraham, who began with nothing,

wouldn't have had a remedy. But by the time he

wondered here and there in the wilderness, when there came

a time for divide, intervention and interception, we find that

Abraham had a war committee of war counsel that consisted

of shepherds. And you'll pint it in the Bible of

an Abraham and his helpers, if you would his ranch hands.

His hired helper.

They went and rooped the armies of the enemies and

losers go home. But as the rodeo progresses, and as

the bud Wiser takes its toll in the pit of

the stomach and starts coursing through the veins, what was

glory being that Jesus's glory be to me?

Come on now, fish pumping in the air. Look what

I've done, Look what I could do. Elevated hearts, elevated spirits,

Look at me.

And it's all playing games till the hoof on that

big bat ball comes crashing down into somebody's scoring. I'm

gonna tell you that you know what they do. They

immediately get religious. They can't even sober enough, sober up

looks respectable, and.

I tell her, somebody up even this morning, talking up.

But whatever you want to.

But I know a lawyer. When I see water, I

They die, it doesn't.

But the lawyers of this water they off you.

These people were forced into slavery, but they didn't know

the warrior was living within 'em. But some of them

the world. How could you stand up and testify in

a whimpy fashion and give him whimpy praise When you

lack of confidence as a badge of honor and a

symbol of false humility. The Bible said, the Lord is great,

and to be praised greatly. I guarantee you the thrill

you feel in church how to be better than eight

seconds on the back of a boy. The thrill that

you feel better be better than the fell of the

thrill of riding bareback on a bronk.

I've seen the crowd go crazy and go nuts.

where I could have died and laid.

Broken skull and pouring blood out of my face. Brother,

I'm telling your brother Philip, I wasn't in it for

people's applause, affirmation or approval.

I was in it for the right.

And I want you all to know I am in

this thing not for affirmation, approval, or applause. But the

reason why I'm doing what I'm doing right here this

morning is to let you know we need to be

strong in the Lord.

We need to have confidence in our God. How great

is our God.

It's one thing to turn that on on the Christian

radio station and let it play and have warm tears

flowing down our face on the way to a bridle

shower way to a groom's bachelor party, and then getting

all choked up because we feel guilty about what we're

about to do.

How great is our God?

Come on, I'm telling you it's gonna take more than

a little prayer and a little feel good before the

high school football game. It's gonna get ripped down to

twenty four to seven, three hundred and sixty.

Five days a week.

I'm gonna stand for the things the warrior Jesus Christ.

Himself stood for it. I'm gonna stand for the word

of God.

There was people before us that lost their life simply

for the teachings of this blessed book. There are people

in heaven right now that died for standing for this

blessed book.

There are people in heaven.

Right now that died simply for owning a copy of

what gets stuck in the back seat of some of

our automobiles.

There are people in heaven right now, women that.

Are worshiping at Jesus' feet full of joy and glory,

who died for this book.

Are y'all listening to me?

While there's some people of this generation letting this book

collect a quarter inch of dust on their fireplace mantle,

I want you to know the mentality of most of

these mothers was probably just let the midwives do away

with my babies. Whenever a pharaoh that knew, not Joseph,

decreed they get too strong. I want every male Hebrew

baby to be murdered on the spot. Them Hebrew midwives.

Here's what they said. This midwife ain't a murderer.

And also them women, them Hebrew women, they were warriors.

The Egyptian and the Hebrew midwives reached the conclusion these

women don't deliver like Egyptian women deliver. It's in about

they said, before they even get to the tent, the

screamen's done halted, and there's a baby in the mama's arms.

What they were saying, Brother Jesse Howell, is we can

tell there's another baby in a tent to be murdered

here in about thirty minutes.

But these warrior like Hebrew women are.

Squatting and delivering themselves of their child so quickly before

we can collect our instruments, before we can get our

axes and whatever else instruments of destruction we can pull

up and put in our medical bag.

When we get there, the babies gone.

There's nowhere for a mother to go when she's in labor,

asked brother Jeremiah, waved Brother Jeremiah. I was preaching a

sermon and I talked about Brother Jeremiah's sister Leah delivering

their child as she went into triage at.

The hospital, and I said, who knows the next time

they may deliver in a car. That was the very

next baby that they had.

Although they had been to the hospital several times within

that week, and had been in the hospital bed in

the right area of the hospital, in the labor and

delivery room several times that week for many hours, the

word of the Lord was true. It bring true right

out here at the handy store now of Florida. After

God's sending her home a couple of times, the word

of the Lord was true. The word of the Lord

was true, and Brother Jeremiah delivered his baby boy, Ezra

with his own bare hands. And his little baby boy,

Ezra had a cord and wrapped around his neck. A

few times he started turning blue, and started turning purple,

and started dying in his daddy's arms. His daddy didn't panic,

Brother Sterret, that's my oldest son. He unwrapped that chord

from around that neck and probably done something he's never

done for in public. He cried out, Jesus helped us.

I'm so glad it wasn't through beer stained breath. The

Bible told us to be so reminded.

I feel the Holy Ghost in this place. I'm telling you,

God's wanting to help somebody. He's speaking to somebody in

this building today. How many of you are comfortable with

the arrangement that God has made in your life. I'm

very comfortable with the arrangement that God has made in

my life.

I could fight that, I could.

Abandon this position as pastor, and I could abandon my

faithfulness to the House of God, where Brother would all

the tall that he would take on the lives of

so many people, Brother Jeremiah. When the children of God

were too strong for the adversaries to control, then the

adversary says, you know what, we need to do something

about it?

Yes, you know what just means to me.

There was no tender and soft place in the heart

of Pharaoh for the Hebrews. This cruel leader saw the

Hebrews increased population, and he decided it was time to

set forth a decree of population control. And he decreed

that all midwives were to kill all male Hebrew babies.

But he miscalculated somewhere. He miscalculated because he overlooked.

The warrior spirit of the Hebrews. It bothers me when

preachers act like they ain't gonna make it right. It

bothers me.

When ministries act like they ain't gonna make it It

bothers me when parents act like, what's the use? We

might as well just give up and give out on

my kid, Brother Jesse. Every time you say Martin, your

say a warrior. Every time you say Martin, get down

off the top of that playhouse, your say.

A warrior, Get down off the top of that playhouse.

I feel it too, brother Jordan.

Every time you say Martin, be careful crossing up street,

you're saying, hey, warlike boy, be careful crossing that street.

The devil miscalculated somewhere.

He didn't take for his consideration that every one of

them Hebrew women feared God, and they would not do

as He has commanded them, but they would choose to

spare their lives and the lives of their children. As

Abraham was a warrior, so were these midwives. The Bible

tells us that the Hebrew women were warriors as well.

When it came time to give birth. They weren't wimpy

as the Egyptian women were. It makes it very clear

to me that Moses' parents were warriors. Moses's parents were warriors.

Parents, are you warriors?

Because of this, Moses' life was spared at the time

of Moses's birth, simply because his mother refused to cry

and hopelessness and despair until the midwife's king plucked her

child out of her arms.

How many of you have ever said, Oh, they're not

gonna get my child, not over my dead body. There's

a few people that you know that would have that

mentality in that mindset. There's some of them in this building.

But there's some Brother Jesse that because of fear of

pressure and fear, they would allow the government to take

their babies.

Out of their arms. And I want you to know something.

Anybody that wilt how the government to take a fire

on them out of your arm, you're the same person

that had allow them to take a child out of you.

Even the founding fathers do the importance of us having

firearms in order to protect ourself from tyranny of government.

And I'm sorry if I hair let grandma or hurt

anybody's feelings.

But the same ones that will hand over their guns

and their firearms.

Are the same one that will allow a filthy, nasty

doctor to enter their word and rip the gift of

wife the marty. I'm saying, be strong in the Lord.

I know of a woman right now that will not

have a baby, sister brought.

Simply because she's afraid of the pain involved in having

a baby. You know what, No, Pa, ain't no game,

right man.

Sister Meghan's not here this morning, but on that last delivery,

Brother Samer said, Papa, come in here, let's pray.

I want you to see how bad she's.

Hurting, Brother Jesse. She's pretty strong. She has a high

tolerance to pain. I didn't hear a whimper, scream, not

one bit, but I saw her. Her head was rotting

ninety degrees and she was staring at the ceiling and

clenching them teeth and Brother Jesse, I didn't hear speak

a word for thirty minutes, and I thought she may

be quiet, but inside there's.

The spirit of old boy, you, sister, whom I'm a

feeling God. I got tears running down my face. I thought, man,

you wouldn't guess it but there's a warrior right there.

I'd never guessed it. She was set to big.

I knew she had a lot to her, a lot

more than people realize her Brother Jesse up the.

Hall, there was a woman in their scream I can't

do this. I can't do this, I can't do this.

When I hear a preacher, it's supposed to be God

called God, she say I can't do it. I question

everything about his make up. You testify to the.

Glory of the devolt when you say, I don't know

if I could travel up the road another week. I

don't know, if I could go to another outreach. I

don't know if I can teach her Sunday school class

another Sunday. I don't know if I can past her

at church another week. It's not supposed to be you

doing it anyway. It's supposed to be Him doing it

through you, Him inside doing it through us. Brother Jesse,

I didn't raise you, buddy, Jesus raised you through me.

The Word of God raised you through me. When Jeremy

Howell said this is probably the way we should do

it in the Word of God said no, this is

the way you should do it. I said, you know what,

we'll forget about how Jeremy thought we should do it

the word God said, do it differently, and.

That's the same thing you're gonna have to do raising

them boys.

Yeah, my humanity struggled with me choosing to not raise

my kids in the Little League.

And being there every Saturday, but choosing to make them

part of a homeless ministry and stuff.

I still remember the wind ups. I still remember arguing

with the reps. I still remember catching the ball. I

still remember throwing it as the man goes down the

field and practice Slady to be a quarterback for the

Mobile High School. I still I remember being point guard

he have pp over the Christian Conference.

I still remember all the moves. I still remember all

the plays. I still remember all of the sounds and

all the noises and every.

Times, Brother Jesse, I thought, you know what, my son

had looked pretty cute, one of them little football outfits

running around with a little helmet on his head.

He looked pretty cute.

I hope to God I'm not depriving him of something

that I experienced.

I'm revealing to you my humanity.

Wow.

But sister Wooten, I'll tell you what built their character

and what brought the cure for cancer. Cause instead on

Saturday would go to a little town called Fort Meet

or Lakeland, the end of the bell and when they

were little tiny had top open the tailgate on that

pickup truck and shut all their little hides down with

their mama on the end of the tailgate. And instead

of having them in the little league, right, they listened

in my heart? That I might not sin against God?

That everybody likes to talk about David, and they like

to talk about that. One time he stumbled, but David could.

Commit adultery with any woman in the land of Israel.

Still diet coke from the handy store. Right, David did

not have an adulterous spirit. As soon as he thought

he had defollowed himself, he said, creating me a clean heart.

Old God, and renew a right spirit within me. David

was quite the man of God.

But Brother Jesse, he's the one that probably quoted Jesse

when he said, thy word, have I hid in my

heart that I might not sin against the Brother Jesse.

I walked up on it. You weren't doing it for

me to hear, but I walked up on.

It, and I thought, how could a little child at

that age has just learned how to read, How could

he quote so much Bible?

And I stood in the.

Darkness, brother stare at and I listen, and I heard

Maca tell his uncles. He said, every night, my daddy

has us dough scripture, memorization and recitation. He said, then

he prays. And Jesse told you all a couple months ago,

he said, my daddy speaking of your pastor, He said,

every night he walked down that hallway, stand between the

hallway at the entry over these doors at the end

of that hallway, and.

He would talk to us about the Bible.

Quote the Bible, and he said, I remember one of

the verses he always quoted before. He prayed, Brother Jesse,

you told the church a secret, Brother Nathaniel, wrote that

beautiful song that y'all sang, Dear Pastor appreciation.

He said, what these people don't know, he said, every

night while I lived.

In my dad's household, he would pray, he said, I

never understood until I became a daddy.

He would pray, should you come or call? I wanna

be ready? Should you come or call? Help me to

be ready.

I was teaching his little baby sister, howell, Jesus may

come back, or Daddy may die a traffic.

Accident and be called home. Should you come or call?

When people look at it, Brother Jesse, and they say

that's good, and they'll give your brother a job.

Hohen you're married. But at the end of the day,

what we want him to do. We wanted to see

past Us and we want to see Jesus.

For that is the very reason why we're doing what

we're doing, the very reason why Moses.

Took the life of that Egyptian warrior that day that

was abusing his people.

Y'all remember, Moses was torn between two nationalities. He had

been adopted by Pharaoh's daughter, but his mama, Jocobin, lived

out there among the people of God. And the Bible said,

on a certain day, Moses walked out of the palace

of Pharaoh. He went down there beyond the middle class.

He went on out there to the land of Goshen,

where the lower class was, where the slaves were, and

among them slaves he watched.

He is the grandson of the mighty Pharaoh. He's watching.

He's a leader of one of the Egyptian armies.

I know.

At one place in his eighties Moses said, I'm of

slow speech, I'm not of eloquent speech.

Josephus, the famous historian, said that Moses was mighty in

the Egyptian language, and he was very eloquent in his speech,

and Josephus said Moses was a renowned warrior, and so

there's no doubt them Egyptian guard when they saw Moses

show up out on the outskirts on gooshin and watching

the way.

They were abusing the Hebrew people, they tried to notice.

He began to pace like a lion.

Y'all wanna go to Culver's or y'all wanna hear some preaching,

they said. Moses standing out to his brother philipp and

he saw one of them Egyptians unnecessarily meeting one of them.

He were men, and Moses confronted him. And just as

soon as that Egyptian.

Guard, well trained God challenged Moses, Moses took him with

his bare hands and broke his neck. And the Bible

said Moses was the meekest and one of the mildest

men of God to ever live.

But when it comes to the enemy, he took it

with his bare hand.

As a matter, if it's David bear handed killing a bear,

and a lion of Moses bare handed killing an Egyptian guard,

I want you all to know, greater is He that

is within us, and Heath that's in the world. We

had to have a warrior spirit of warrior mentality, and

the Bible said when Moses buried that Egyptian guard, that

the Hebrews begin to talk about it.

Word spread that the grandson of Pharaoh had killed.

One of the Egyptian guards, and Moses spent forty years

on the backside of the wilderness in Haidi until he

met a landowner, a property owner that had a lot of.

Sheep named Jethrow. He started working as a shepherd, Brother Philip.

I wonder how long it took that man to lose

the Egyptian garment, And one day he put on that

garment that his people.

Have been wearing. God knows how to get you back

where you need to be.

I'm sure when he first showed up in the wilderness

he had on an Egyptian guard royalty guarbs.

Brother Gufort. That won't do you no good in the wilderness.

That'll do you plenty of good in the palace, but

that won't do any good in the backside of the wilderness.

At some point he became a shepherd, and for forty years,

Brother Philip, he lived out there, driving sheep to herd

the sheep and the Bible said, one of them days,

on the backside of the wilderness, there was a bush

that began to burn, and out of that bush came

a voice that said Moses. Moses, and Moses took off

the shoes because the Lord said, the place that you're

standing on.

Is holy ground.

And an eighty year old warrior that had been in

the wilderness learning how not to be in Egyptian.

There's some of you you need to forget how to

be like this world. You've learned way too much about

this world.

When Jesus said not to have the spirit of the world,

Jesus said, if fey men loved that spirit of this world,

the love of Father's not any When Moses had forgot

everything about Egyptian life, God spoke to him and said.

What I want you to do.

He's an eighty year old man.

Now he's an eighty year old warrior though, once a martin,

always a mark. Yeah, but he's just an old, decrepit

old man. No, the Bible said, his natural force.

Had not even a baby.

That's right.

Once a warrior, always a warrior, once a marine, always

a marine, Brother, Caleb, But you come to the pen

of brother. I've never really followed boxing. But I remember

in my high school years that was the time of

Mike Tyson. The world worshiped Mike Tyson. They expected him

and every arena and every ring to knock his a

going out in mere minutes.

Brother Jesse, he looked like a warrior, but when he spoke,

he sounded like a whimp. He did. He had a

high pitch, female like voice, but he looked like a beast.

When he was in the ring. He got old brother Samuel.

They tell me, just in the last couple of weeks,

after much training, endurance training, performance training, he got mareena

once again.

I guess the general consensus.

And their conclusion is he threw the fight on purpose,

because anybody that knew Iron Mike and his glory days knude.

His method, and they knew how he fought, and they

knew he was just making some money and making somebody

else some money. But this is what I want to

tell you.

Muhammad Ali, after fighting all the year's brother Beuford, he

developed some sort of Alzheimer's and dementia from trauma to

the brain. And they said, Muhammad al Lei, sometime we

just sit in his house cut over his hands in

a boxing posture position.

Say he just stare at the wall for hours, he said.

they said he said something like is it still in

their fighter?

And said he stepped back and said watch defeat. Muhammad

watched defeat and said he went to doing the Muhammad

Ali footwork, Brother Thomas Sterre, from what I've been told,

Tysi could do it as good now that he's older

than he was when as a kid. And they said,

Muhammad Ali got this wrink and grinned as he watched

their feet and they knew right then, brother Jacob, the

spirit of the Warrior's still there. The spirit is willing,

but the flesh is weak. This is why I have

to crucify the flesh and say.

God, would you please help me to do what I

need to do for my children's sake.

And I want to tell your brother Jesse and sister Hannah,

for their sake and for God's glory, to please continue

doing what you're doing and raising m in.

The house of the Lord, because I truly believe the

church at large will see it.

One day. They will see that out of the household

of Jesse, Howell has come forth warriors, great men of God.

I want to read a poem. I'm not even halfway

through the sermon. I just feel like God speaking of

so many people, even beyond to parents. Today, I want

Between the innocence of boyhood and the dignity of manhood,

we find a delightful creature called a boy.

Boys come into sordid sizes.

Weights and colors, But allays have the same creed to

enjoy every second of every minute of every hair of

every day, and to protest with noise. They're only with

it when the last minute is finished and the adult

males packed them off.

To bed at night. Yes, boys are found everywhere, on.

Top of underneath, inside of swinging, from running around or

jumping to Mothers love them, little girls hate him. Older

brothers and sister tolerate them, adults ignore them, and Heaven

protects it.

A boy is truth with dirt on his face, beauty.

With a cut on his finger, wisdom with bubblegum in

his hair, and the hope of the future with a frog.

In his pocket. You can lock them out of the kitchen,

but not out of your heart.

And when you're mad enough to blister their height, all

he has to do to cool your angers.

Come up and put his arms around you and say

I love you.

Yes, the dear Lord shall create is something marvelous when

he made little boys. I want Brother Jesse and Sister

Hannah to bring Martin forward at this time. Would you

stand with us church, Brother Jesse. They will not become

warriors by accident. They will have to be trained to

fact a beautiful gift from the Lord, and that He

and that your God shall hold you to accountable from

what you have done with him regarding instruction in this life.

Do you solemnly agree that it is your purpose to dedicate.

This lovely child to the Lord in his service. Do

you realize what you're saying when you say, I'm willing

to allow him to be a warrior for Jesus? Do

you realize the risk As the son of a father,

Brother Jesse, that has been a warrior.

You see the.

Scars that your father bearers. In time, you too will

bear similar scars. All warriors bear stars, most are.

Not visible by those whom they protect.

you too instruct him faithfully? And will you two bring

him up to the nurture and the admonition of the

Lord Will you faithfully teach him and the doctrines of

the Christian faith, And will you teach him to read

the Word of God and to pray.

Will you teach him to live a holy life where

you bring him to the house of worship every time

the doors are open. Will you do everything in your

power to bring him to the knowledge that Jesus is

his Lord and Savior.
