Fortieth Verse Luke chapter number one versus number thirty nine
-
or forty. Please Brother Nathaniel Ecclesiastes, chapter number four and
-
verse number nine.
-
Brother Jesse Matthew, chapter number eighteen.
-
And verse number twenty, Praise the Lord. How many of
-
you are ready for Christmas? You've done everything you needed
-
to do. You've got it done, and you're ready. How
-
many of you still are not ready for Christmas?
-
You're not prepared?
-
You got some more gifts to buy, some more food
-
ingredients to buy.
-
Let me see you in that. How many of you
-
have some running to do? Yet? There's about nine or
-
ten of you you still have some running to do.
-
They tell me that there's seventy five plus in the
-
building this morning.
-
That's not too bad.
-
We've got sixty five people that are prepared and ready,
-
set on ready right now.
-
Got about ten that are procrastin the eaters.
-
Sometimes you have to wait until the last minute because
-
of situations and circumstances.
-
You're waiting on a bondness, a paycheck, or just.
-
Time, or sometimes your vehicle isn't functioning properly and you're
-
without a set of wheels and you have a problem
-
with getting where you need to go.
-
I know things happen, but I'm glad most of you
-
are prepared.
-
And for those of you that still have some things
-
to do, May God give you grace as you try
-
to do it last minute. May God have mercy on
-
you as you fight those people in those stores. I'm
-
telling you what, it was a madhouse in those stores
-
on Friday and Saturday.
-
I can't imagine how they're gonna be tomorrow.
-
With Sister how and I are doing some last minute
-
things as well. We've got a few more things we've
-
got to do it. Dear brother who attended our church
-
for several years. He drove nearly an hour to be here.
-
He was probably in his eighties. While he attended here.
-
Oftentimes he would stand up in our services and testify.
-
At the appointed time. He'd take his index finger and
-
his little finger and began to pat it on the
-
palm of.
-
His other hand, and he'd say, you know, the Lord
-
has been merciful and gracious to me.
-
He spared my.
-
Life and allowed me to live another day. And he'd say, apparently,
-
my Jesus has.
-
A few more things for me to do. My Lord
-
has a few more things for me to do. How
-
many of you believed God still got something for us
-
to do?
-
Amen before his return.
-
There's people that needed to be reached, and He has
-
you to do that. I'm so thankful for all of
-
the outreaches. With that in mind, we have our annual
-
whole Christmas gifts presents for the children of our community
-
coming up here in just the next couple of days.
-
If you'll look at a bulletin, you will exactly what
-
day of this week we will be doing that. That
-
is a wonderful opportunity to share the good news. A
-
lot of times we're handing out tracks as we hand
-
out the gifts, and that's very important.
-
Share the good news. Spread the good news.
-
Go tell it on the mountain, go telling on somebody
-
telling on the flat lands of Florida. Somebody share it
-
near the canal, Somebody share it near the river.
-
Somebody tell the good news. The King has been born.
-
It's so good to see you. Praise the Lord, brother Nathaniel.
-
Ecclesiastes, chapter number four and verse number nine.
-
Please two are.
-
Better than one because they have a good reward for
-
their late How many of you believe that two are
-
better than one?
-
A lot of times preachers and teachers.
-
Alive put an emphasis on the first part of that verse,
-
but they for some reason neglect to quote or read
-
the latter part of that verse. Brother Nathaniel, would you
-
read the latter point of that verse once more? Because
-
they have a good reward for their labor.
-
Because they have a.
-
Good reward for their labor, so there was a purpose
-
for their gathering, just as there is a purpose this
-
morning for our gathering. And there is no doubt there
-
will be a tremendous reward for our labors in the kingdom. Together,
-
Brother Jesse Matthew Chapiter number eighteen and verse number twenty.
-
Or where two or three are gathered together in my name,
-
there am I in the midst of them.
-
I want to bring something to their attention that the
-
Holy Ghost brought to my attention. May we stand for
-
the reading of our Golden Text. I'll encourage you to
-
read Luke chapter number one, verses number thirty five through
-
forty six today, But for the sake of time.
-
We will read Luke one, thirty nine and forty.
-
At this time Bible said and entered into the house
-
of Zacharias and saluted Elizabeth, and it came to pass
-
that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the Babe
-
leaped in her womb.
-
And Elizabeth was filled with a holy ghost.
-
I want to preach a message the Holy Ghost titled
-
a Charity Christmas, and I want to dedicate this to
-
my beautiful wife, Sister Charity.
-
How may we.
-
Pray, Heavenly Father, we love him, We praise you. We
-
thank you Lord for your goodness. We thank you for
-
your mercy. I thank you for these precious people that
-
are in this building this morning. Truly, we are drawing
-
strength from you and your presence that you are in
-
the midst yes, and for that we're most thankful. We're
-
also thankful for the strength that we are drawing from
-
our brothers and sisters of light, precious faith that have
-
come your own purpose.
-
This mor wanted to do as we are doing to
-
worship you. We draw strength from them. We thank you
-
for community and service.
-
We thank you for power that comes from you, and
-
also the energy of the strength that we received from
-
my brothers and sisters. We prayed that you would anoint
-
this thy servants, set a guard in my mouth and
-
help me to say the things you would have you
-
to say. Nothing more or less, and anoint the years
-
of this thy people, that they might hear what the
-
Spirit of God said to the church. I pray the
-
sayings would go below the shoulders. We give you the
-
praise and the art of the glory. May we depart
-
this place joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus' name, in
-
the church said Amen, as you're being seated, look at
-
your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, I can feel it
-
in the room. Ask them this question, what is it
-
the presence of the Holy Ghost? Say it again, Hey, neighbor,
-
I can feel it in the room.
-
Praise the Lord.
-
Our text is found in a New Testament book of
-
the Holy Bible, the Book of Luke. This book is
-
the third book of the New Testament. It is the
-
first of a two volume work done by the beloved
-
physician Luke.
-
It is the parent that the treaties.
-
Written for the notable and noble Theopolis and so many
-
other believers that we call Christians.
-
The purpose of this book was written.
-
In order to give this generation, in every generation actor
-
the resurrection of Jesus Christ, an assurance of the life
-
and the ministry of Jesus, and also to give them
-
confirmation of the lives and the ministries of the Apostolic brethren,
-
the apostles whom our Lords specifically chose to travel alongside
-
of him in the ministry. How many of you believe
-
that the Lord could have went at it alone? For
-
how many of you have felt the presence of the
-
Lord in.
-
This place today? Here in the Sunday school.
-
Hour, during the time of worship, as Sister Howell led
-
the congregation on inquire singing, we felt the presence of
-
the Lord. And I want you to know your drawing
-
strength from that, brother and sister to sitting next to
-
you on that pew. I have been in church buildings
-
where there are few in number, and sometimes we encourage
-
ourselves with that verse where two are three are gathered together.
-
In My name, There am I in.
-
Their mintst Because of the low number in attendance during
-
that specific service in that setting, Brother Jesse, it troubles
-
us because there's so few in number. But I remember
-
Brother Platte talking about a time when he attended the
-
church by himself.
-
He sent in order to the doors.
-
Open, I had to attend that church by myself, he said.
-
Service after service, it was me myself and I, he said,
-
I sing it him out of the old rent back hymnal.
-
He said, I read my Bible, testified and prayed and
-
went home. He said, after about a six month period,
-
his wife, missus Barbara Platt, decided to join him, and
-
he talked to me a lot of times about the
-
strength that he drew in having his wife by his side.
-
Several years ago, I preached a message title there is
-
no such.
-
Thing as the Lone Ranger.
-
The title of that TV series itself is deceptive.
-
For anyone that is.
-
Familiar with the Old Time story hour program The Long
-
Ranger or the TV series, you know that the Lone
-
Ranger had help. He had help and a trustee, sidekick
-
and fellow companion named Tonto.
-
There were also other people that would help him.
-
I feel like it is definitely an interesting listen. I
-
personally love to listen to Old Time Radio and listen
-
to that program, The Lone Ranger. But I know that
-
it is a terrible, terrible thing to imply that we
-
can do this alone. I don't care what it is
-
we're doing in life, it is difficult to do it alone.
-
And I would say, out of all of the apostles.
-
Certainly the apostle Paul was the one that had the
-
ability and the power to do this thing we call
-
Christianity alone.
-
But we will find all through.
-
The Pauline epistles, which are in his writings, that he
-
did not go at it alone. One of the reasons
-
for that are the writings of our code text this morning,
-
that Jesus Christ himself rected his disciples not to go
-
at this alone. Concerning evangelism, outreach and ministry opportunities, they
-
should be embraced by twos. I know sometimes as a pastor,
-
I have to go at it alone. I know sometimes
-
you have to go into the streets and stand on
-
the street corner alone and minister. But we must admit
-
that it's always easier and better for us, our spirits
-
and for others if we have that trusty companion or
-
sidekick alongside of us. I remember, as a street preacher
-
having my wife stand by my side, and the street
-
that I drew from that brother Jesse, and.
-
In time I had six children standing.
-
By my side, And oh how different it felt when
-
I was out there alone versus when the Howell family
-
was out there ministering together.
-
I've heard brother Plat talk about how.
-
He was tremendously blessed as he saw this church begin
-
to come to life. After that the Holy Ghost had
-
breathed life into the nostrils of the Bethel Holiness Church,
-
and he saw this church began to flourish and prosper.
-
A lot of times he told me, said, I had
-
a vision from the Lord one day, and I saw
-
this coming to pass, and I wondered, would it ever happened,
-
would it ever come into fruition and praise the Lord.
-
When he died, we were running about forty and he
-
was so blessed. He stand up and testify and say,
-
I think all from my brothers and sisters in Christ.
-
A lot of you stood by his bedside when he
-
was a dying man, and you will remember him talking
-
about how blessed he was to have you as family.
-
How many of you know Church family is a blessing.
-
To have Church family is a blessing. Some of you
-
do not have family. A lot of your parents are
-
dead and gone, some of your siblings have passed now,
-
and you do not have family, and you're sitting at
-
home alone during the holidays. I want to comfort you
-
this morning and encourage you to have a look around
-
and see just how blessed you are. Not only do
-
you have seventy five plus brothers and sisters in cross
-
present today, you've got a large family. In fact, when
-
the Great Apostle peered into the Kingdom via vision, he said,
-
there's an innumerable host of my family members.
-
No man is able.
-
To calculate the sum or give the total of this number.
-
So I feel like this man Luke was a wonderful
-
companion to the Apostle Paul. This past Wednesday night, I
-
preached a sermon the Holy Ghost titled Heavenly Hospitality, and
-
we talked a little bit how the beloved physician would
-
have been most hospitable.
-
He would have been a very kind hearted.
-
Man that would have been a great traveling companion. Thinking
-
about that, God began to deal with my heart about companionship.
-
You may have a spouse that has betrayed you and
-
went in another direction, but you have companionship and kinship
-
with somebody in this building this morning, besides your Lord
-
and Savior, Jesus Christ.
-
It is true that you're blessed to have the Lord.
-
That's the greatest gift that we could possess. That's the
-
best friend that we could ever have. With all the
-
blessings of companionship.
-
And community, a lot of people get themselves in harm's
-
way and jeopardy because they do not value community. In fact,
-
there's a lot of people Baxley and right now because
-
they felt like they could do alone.
-
They felt like.
-
They were strong enough spiritually to sit there at the
-
house without receiving confirmation and assurance of their certain experiences.
-
And with that thought in mind, I want to point
-
out that there came a time in Mary.
-
And Elizabeth life when they had received some beautiful promises,
-
and you know, they received assurance in confirmation by their reunion.
-
I want you to think with me, Imagine the energy
-
and the excitement in the room as these two came together.
-
Imagine the energy and.
-
The excitement with the apostle Paul and Luke as they
-
traveled together. You see the experiences of Paul in Silace.
-
You see the experiences of Paul and John Mark, and
-
they are full of energy and full of excitement. You
-
see these gospel writers that gave us these four gospels.
-
Three of the.
-
Four were companions of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
-
But Luke had not been a travel companion with Jesus personally.
-
He may not have known Jesus.
-
But Luke developed and fostered a relationship with the Apostolic brethren,
-
the apostles that traveled with the Lord. So three of
-
the four Gospels were given to us by men that
-
witness as eye witnesses the daily life.
-
And ministry of the Savior.
-
But Luke, he's an outsider, He's a gentile, he's not
-
a Hebrew. He's a physician by occupation. And it comes
-
into an experience with Jesus Christ, and he falls in
-
love with the brethren, and we find that he embraces
-
of the people and the children of God.
-
And no doubt he was the student of.
-
The testimony and the writings of these other authors of
-
the other three.
-
Gospels, and better Jesse. I feel like.
-
Luca developed a continuity between him and the brethren. Her
-
hav many of you in this fielding this morning, you
-
value kinship and friendship. You see the continuity between the
-
historical writings of the.
-
Four authors of the four Gospels of his remarkable.
-
Truly, they had a story to share with the world
-
about a man named Jesus. They had a story to
-
tell about the thirty three and a half years.
-
In time when God incarnate.
-
Came to live amongst humanity. Beyond the continuity of the
-
themes purpose in the writings of the four Gospels, we
-
see a continuity between Look and some of the apostles
-
of the Lord Jesus. There is continuity in their personal
-
relationships and friendships. Continuity is the state of quality of
-
being continuous. Again, continuity is the state or quality of
-
being continuous. Even if there are bumps along the way,
-
there are no greats. I said, Even if there are
-
bumps along the way, there are no breaks. And that's
-
how it should be in our relationship of the Jesus Christ,
-
and also in our marital relationships and in our spiritual relationships,
-
specifically concerning our church family. There will be accidental bumps
-
and accidental bruises along the way, but we have to
-
have to hide and there should not be a breaker
-
in the continuity of our relationship and our local assembly.
-
You see, the personal relationship between Jesus and most of
-
his disciples did not cease her after time had passed her,
-
and even after time had elapsed her.
-
And after he had went on the glory.
-
They maintained their personal relationship with the Lord. I remember
-
when sister who lost her brother Jean, she said, I'm
-
not ever gonna look.
-
For another because he was my forever.
-
What she was saying is, I'm not gonna be of
-
the free holiness mindset that I've got.
-
To have a man, that she's got to have a man,
-
or he's.
-
Got to have a Wolling Day will shut this one
-
up over there and pushed them into a.
-
Marriage her that they are unhappy.
-
What Sister Rude was saying.
-
Her, I'm not exactly just looking for a physical relationship.
-
I've already had the relationships. My relationship, sir, do you
-
know the Bible said that what God has joined together
-
let not matter for the sunder.
-
You see, Jesus forged.
-
Her in the power of the Upper Room.
-
In Pentecostal moments, the power of the Holy Ghost forcing
-
the fire her relationships between him and those believers about
-
a hundred and twenty people God in a relationship who
-
the Holy Ghost.
-
They had been in a.
-
Relationship with Jesus. But Jesus that said, I'll go, but
-
I want be forgot now when I send somebody left
-
to you and they received that.
-
Third part to look a Godhead.
-
Now the computor left, Jesus said, It says, speeding for
-
you that I got left. If I don't tell the
-
confident leo head not come, well, I want you in this.
-
Sometimes when we choose her not, they're going to church.
-
When we choose her not.
-
Go have holy communion.
-
And the comfident he does not come.
-
Right, I'm telling somebody there.
-
In this theater, this.
-
Man that Jesus said, Jesus said, I said, Jesus, saying
-
that where two there three.
-
I gave the desert here my name day.
-
Clearmody in their best.
-
Obviously he was given assurance and reins assurance and comfort
-
and consolation in the gathering of a few. Well, why
-
didn't he go to the ultimate extreme and say where
-
one is gathered? Truly this biblical examples of one such
-
as Daniel who went through the den of lions, not
-
a lion's den, as to speak of one adversary in
-
the form of a lion being in a den, but
-
a den of lions. Some people say up to ten
-
lions in that den. And it's true that the Holy
-
Trinity was present. But we all serve find an example
-
in the Bible, where three Hebrew young men had a
-
nown michel and as a rye some of you know them,
-
a shadrecked me shack, and a big the gold. They
-
stood for truth and righteousness in their treasured community. In fact,
-
Daniel was among their community. He was among their confidants.
-
He was somebody that they valued as a real But
-
we final a certain day that Daniel was nowhere around.
-
But those three men worked.
-
Together that they went through the power together. They went
-
through the fire together. I said, they went to the
-
fire together. This is a symbolic that sometimes when you hurt,
-
that fella and sister hurts up. When you suffer, that
-
father and sister suffers with you. Hey, come on, that's
-
the words of Jesus. I'm telling somebody. He yes, Tess
-
showed up for Daniel in the ind of lions. That
-
remember he also showed up that fourth.
-
Man in the power his present.
-
And there was only community between brother.
-
Oh, come all, I had somebody this morning.
-
You need to stop and consider, contemplator, what a blessing
-
it is.
-
To have a brother and a sis.
-
Christmas faith for my precious faith and in this has
-
for God.
-
This morning.
-
The biblical writers said these words, how good and how
-
pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity,
-
as the people of God, saying this morning the praises
-
of God. Whatever, the musicians stopped their playing. As they
-
had played skillfully, I had been blessed. But when the
-
notes were silenced, and when the voices of the singers
-
were silent, I no longer heard the music of the instruments.
-
I no longer.
-
Heard the beautiful sound of the skilled musicians. I no
-
longer heard the beautiful voice of the choir and the
-
congregants and the song leader.
-
But I heard the voice.
-
Of my brothers and sh that did not have a
-
microphony in their hands.
-
I heard some weeping. I heard some say glory to God.
-
I heard some say hallelujah.
-
And as the pastor of this church and the shepherd
-
that God has appointed the presided over this people, I said,
-
under Shepherd to him. I stood over there in the corner,
-
and my soul was blessed as I heard the fellow
-
worship person worshiping and praising God.
-
I want you to know you are not supposed.
-
To try to go at this alone. I'm not preaching
-
anybody particular. This morning. Hell, I'm just preaching what God
-
puts on my heart. I could truly say I've got
-
nobody in mind. But I want you to value the
-
kidship at the.
-
Friendship and the continuity of this Christian community that.
-
God has blessed.
-
You were.
-
So beyond the continuity of the thieves and the purpose
-
and the writings of these gospels, we see a continuity
-
between these people of God always stressed friendship amongst siblings.
-
In our household.
-
Sister, how and I stressed friendship in our relationship. We
-
first develop friendship before we got into a romantic relationship.
-
I want you to.
-
Know it's a sad thing and an indictment to parents
-
when those children have been reared and mom and Dad's
-
home and them siblings are fighting like cats and dogs
-
and fushing incessantly.
-
As much as the devil does every time.
-
God boves and works miraculously, which is without season.
-
The devils are fussing every day.
-
Because God is a busy God doing wonderful and beautiful
-
things for his children. But sad thing when parents don't
-
make it a priority to teach siblings.
-
To get along.
-
There might be some siblings in this fielding this morning
-
you could go past the wedding years, past the times
-
of your marriage, and go in separate directions from your
-
your siblings.
-
And never see them again, and it would not bother
-
you one bed. It would bother you that you hurt
-
ten years.
-
Later that they died.
-
Why because you were arc enemies, you were chief competitors,
-
You were each other's nemesisa in the household of your parents.
-
It's a shame of your parents. And I smeared it
-
in their face this morning.
-
If a brother and a sister cannot get them old,
-
that they cannot go haita properly.
-
I sit it in churches as well.
-
Pastors have purposely so disclarit among the credit and not
-
allow the experenial supers to get along. I'm telling you
-
it's good that us person for pethers and sisters to
-
tell you what to cohabitate to church together unified.
-
It's a client shame.
-
What's so called Pentecostal Christians can't get along. Pastors preach
-
a different message and that that John and Jesus preach.
-
They refuse to preach a message of repentance. They refuse
-
to preach the undoluded, unadulteriorated nontained word of God. The
-
Bible teaches us that Christians should not agree to disagree,
-
that Christians should not be people of a different denominator.
-
Christians were called Christians and Antiocha because of their Pentecostal experiences,
-
because of their manner of life, because of their mimicry
-
of Jesus, his.
-
Ministry and his life. They were Christians.
-
That I'm telling you, God is not a god of denomination.
-
So I still good in arithmetic, in matter in school.
-
And then a minute a church organization becomes a denomination.
-
It is divisive.
-
Do y'all get that?
-
Do y'all understand magic? We all should have one common denominator.
-
This should equal a whole number. That is, Jesus and
-
the Church are equal in reality.
-
Now, I'm telling you, when you've got a Church of God,
-
a siding of God, a christ region to Luther, the badness,
-
a nothingist, somebody went roun somewhere, take me back to
-
the unkarouma, Take me back to the miner and God
-
is where I re stated, I church of God.
-
I'm a sent of God.
-
Oh trust what your old love darking. I trust you,
-
I trust I trust you, I trust you.
-
I will not ever again belong to the Church of God.
-
Never they went wrong when they divided. That's a newly
-
foreigned organization. Considering how much time has went on since
-
Adam and.
-
Eve's existence, that Jehovah's Witness is.
-
A newly formed organization. How could did Jehovah's Witness be right?
-
What did everybody else do before the formation of Jehovah's Witness?
-
What did everybody do before the formation of the dividing
-
spirit behind the Church of God. I'm a Church of
-
God man eighteen years of it.
-
My life is an assimilar God woman, nineteen years of it.
-
Her mother is an Assembly of God woman. Her grandpa
-
wasn't as similar god man. Her grandpa was an old
-
time assimbly god woman. My daddy was a Church of
-
God man. My granddaddy was a Church of God man.
-
My great granddaddy was Church of God.
-
I don't know how many.
-
Generations we go back, but if you go back far enough,
-
you go back to the Assusa Street.
-
Revivedal before the study.
-
Being divisions amongst Pentecostal people. Who started this great Pentecostal
-
movement of the modern era was the movement of the
-
Holy Ghost through a revocation of pactification.
-
The value for casatas the.
-
One they're not live a sacti piety.
-
It's coltious to know the lie of their churches.
-
It's coltius to love a day.
-
Jesus said in the Book of Revelation, do you have
-
a day? But again, why isn't everybody focuses on the
-
name or love to life?
-
What is the fantasy over their denominations?
-
What is the fascination of what Grandpa had?
-
What about what Jesus had? He didn't say, upon.
-
This Baptist church, upon this descent of God, upon this
-
church of God, out being by church, He said, upon
-
this rock.
-
I am becoming more persuaated by the day.
-
Because of the light that is in an organization and
-
a denomination. In my diligence studies of scripture, I am
-
becoming more convinced by the.
-
Day that a church should be autonomous.
-
Meaning capable of self governing, and that a church should
-
not belong to an organization of a period. I was praying,
-
and I'm gonna get real personal. Come up here, simply, God, girl,
-
I was praying about a week ago, and I still
-
don't understand the fullness of this but I'm gonna share this,
-
and I know you all will share the message.
-
But that's all right. I am telling you come up
-
here and stand behind.
-
Me in this pool pit. Standing right here, hide and
-
behind it is big enough. I know this message will
-
get shared. I know this will bring forth private conversations
-
and discussions by hypocrites churches, caiphas and Judas and political
-
hierarchies like pilot inherent. It ain't backbone to do anything.
-
I know this sermon will be passed around. I know
-
there's good holdiness people in the Church of God, but
-
they're becoming few and far between. I know what God
-
dealt with us about when we had to come out
-
thirty something years ago, and I tell you this, it
-
ain't progressed for the best at all in thirty something years.
-
And some of them are just now figuring out that
-
the head has been sick for a long time.
-
The problem thirty years ago was that with.
-
Good people that had good hearts wanting to do right
-
and keep it together, the problem was the head was
-
sick and the head was going to destroy it. That's
-
the problem with the dominations. When you have a hierarchy
-
and you have an overseer It doesn't matter how beautiful
-
of a congregation you have in South Florida. It doesn't
-
matter who you feel like you Elisha is Elijah, It
-
doesn't matter.
-
What your plans are.
-
The district overse and the state oversere they can manipulate
-
the situation and put whoever they wont to in that
-
pulpit of that church, that people's child Bill and that
-
people's bloods went in tears Bill, and they consume the
-
handily if they wont to, and if they desire to
-
destroy the most holiness of cartner Lass by simply putting
-
the wrong person in the poolpit.
-
Now you're looking at a Church of God Boy again.
-
I don't know if I'm fourth or fifth generation or
-
beyond that.
-
And you're looking at Assembly of God Girl again.
-
I'm preaching a message the Holy Ghost titled a charity
-
Christmas an Assembly of.
-
God Girl and a Church of God Boy.
-
I bled Church of God, I sleppt Church of God.
-
I worked with a youth in the Church of God.
-
I took them on skating trips in the Church of God.
-
She's singing in the choir of that Assembly of God
-
Mega church. Her former pastor, Wayne Blackburn pastors the Victory
-
Assembly of God in Lakeland, Florida.
-
Google it. That was her pastor. That's a very big church.
-
We come from, not backwood country churches, who come from
-
well established, foolly functional churches that there's no doubt some
-
great Man of God built, Great men of God built
-
that Assembly of God.
-
Great men of God built the Church of God. I
-
come out of her great granddaddy. Now it's your granddaddy.
-
Logan mark was that your granddaddy was an Assembly of
-
God ministry. They went to youth camp and what's called
-
Master Peace Gardens.
-
It was way better than the youth camp all went to.
-
And why Mama, do I have to go there?
-
Assembly of God had the best youth camp facility and
-
you had.
-
To pay a premium to go. Her granddaddy.
-
I had to see in the way things went hawked
-
with the record keeper. In Missouri, that's where the Assumings
-
of God's headquarters are, the state headquarters. You go to
-
the Branson and Springfield area, you will see Assembly of
-
Gods everywhere. Are y all praying for me? I'm gonna
-
slow down just a little bit. I got so much
-
to preaching. I didn't attend on saying all this, This
-
is the Holy Ghost.
-
Speaking right here through his humble servant, and I'm nothing
-
but dirt.
-
We got to change our mindset because we're married to denominations.
-
We're married.
-
You have a hard time pulling them people out of
-
the Baptist Church and the Lutheran Church and the Catholic
-
Church because they bowed to never leave. Where's that in
-
the Bible. But we left fully functional churches. As far
-
as I know, the buildings were paid for.
-
We had at.
-
Christmas time, Christmas cantatas saying by road choirs, beautiful services
-
we participated. I was Ebenezer Scrooge in the church Christmas.
-
For many years, we were rejects in very large functional congregations.
-
In fact, when I met Sister.
-
Hawa, went to her church for the first time, which
-
was taboo for a Church of God to marry Thesembly
-
of God girl.
-
Again, it was taboo because the.
-
Church of God people were bullying Assembly of God people
-
way back then, saying she's way too world and then
-
people's way too.
-
Worldly for us. But them women had pulled poodle dog
-
hair tight.
-
Kiki perms into the lips in the Church of God,
-
and they were judging the Assembly of God. I guess
-
it was a battle of who could wear the shortest skirt.
-
So they were upset with me because I was leaving
-
the Church of God in Bradley going to the Moultbar
-
Assembly of God to talk to Sister Charity. And we
-
knew nothing of independent holiness people. We knew nothing of
-
a church being a totomous. We had no problem with
-
respecting our elders. We had no problem with service to
-
our pastor. I have no problem or pastor appreciation services.
-
We were not rebels by nature. In fact, when I
-
saw Sister Howell, she was like the girl that poured
-
the water on the hands of the preacher's wife.
-
If I have to be honest.
-
Of the one hundred and fifty that were there on
-
Sunday mornings at her church, she was their favorite. Talking
-
about the pastor and the pastor's wife, she was their favorite.
-
We didn't leave because we were rebels or renegades, Dear.
-
I didn't leave the Church of God because I couldn't
-
minister there. In fact, the night that I left, the
-
pastor came to me and offered me a promotion and
-
also offered to go buy a ten thousand dollars piano.
-
Sister Howell was witness to that. They will buy you,
-
they will phone call you, they will make friends with
-
you on Facebook in order to keep you because they
-
want to keep the tie. I'm preaching on a charity Christmas.
-
I'm preaching on a charity Christmas. What does this have
-
to do with your text? Have a seacret?
-
There's now I feel that to slow down right here.
-
I was praying, and I know this is going to
-
go around and people is going to say, who does
-
he think he is?
-
First? Let me answer that question. And when you share
-
these clips, make sure you don't edit out. I am
-
a nobody, Jemmy, I am a nobody.
-
I'm the least of my brothers and sisters in this building.
-
And I'm tired of seeing the devil bullyeve them. I'm
-
tired of them being treated like they're misfits. I'm tired
-
of the devil treating them like they're the ones that
-
are wrong because they're standing for truth and righteousness.
-
I'm tired of that foolishness. But I was praying last
-
week and some of you independent holding us people can.
-
Fall out with me all you want to about this
-
but I was praying, and I do pray, and anybody
-
listens to my preaching, you can tell I pray and
-
my message has come from God. Does when them God's
-
stealing and start using them what they've been doing. They
-
can't find no other online resource.
-
Right home on yet.
-
Right, it's not my messages anyway, they're God's. But first,
-
let me say again, I'm a nobody. I'm less and dirt.
-
I know how I beg God to help me in
-
that office.
-
I don't get the big head. I don't swell up
-
like I'm somebody.
-
Brother Jean Butler, He'll tell you if I running to
-
you at the park, I'll talk to you like you've
-
been my best friend all your life.
-
And that's what I'm talking about this morning. You can
-
tell you'll talk on somebody.
-
You can tell when there's continuity between brothers and sisters.
-
You ever got around somebody said the spirit wasn't right.
-
I can tell the.
-
Spirit wasn't right.
-
Well, you know what my spirit bear's witness with every
-
person in.
-
This building is born.
-
I can tell where my spirit bears witness with people
-
there that you'll to God. I can tell what I
-
mean my brother and sister, I've bet him in Canada before.
-
And they walked up and said, we could tell you hell,
-
you had it right. I said, how could you tell that?
-
They said, by your spirit. I've met him in Canada,
-
I've met him in Alaska. I've bet him on cruise ships.
-
I've met him in South Florida. I've met him into
-
smoking mountains. So I said, God, God, what do you
-
mean by this?
-
He said?
-
FT Mason died a holiness man. His wife got a
-
holiness demon. Now, if you got a spirit that most
-
of sue discord among the brethren right now. That was
-
the problem that developed in this region was the Pusson.
-
And the Bartons and the lack of put me on
-
between Mother.
-
And God, said brother F. T.
-
Mason. Began to lose the grip on these Church of
-
Gods with them this trip and state overseers started putting.
-
The WNG men in the pulpits, and then roll Mere
-
started influencing the parishions.
-
That I was a beeper in a crowd in my office.
-
I'm running out of time. And God said, if.
-
You could have sent them services and really seen FT.
-
Mason's heart as he wept and.
-
He cried as he saw what he bre be dissolved
-
by preachers that would.
-
Not hold up the treas her.
-
God said, he.
-
Sent right there standing for what he preached poor.
-
But he stood poor what he preached the gift all
-
their years, and he died living it.
-
My heart broke, My heart broke in Twain. That's the movie.
-
Now, I'm not sent here to preserve holiness and standards
-
of truth and righteousness and the Word of God, because
-
you can't even hear the Word of God holy preached
-
and intelligent fashion anymore anyway.
-
But I'm not here to preserve.
-
The preaching of the Word of God and standards and
-
truth and righteousness at this location.
-
Only God, let me know it's bigger than O. D. Coleman.
-
God let me know.
-
It's bigger than Rodny Faulkner. God let me know it's
-
bigger than brother Bill Durden. And that's a good thing.
-
I'm sorry that you've got your favorite quarterback.
-
But you know what witness little independent holiness churches all
-
over this region.
-
He will know that this was bigger than Jeremy Howell.
-
And then it was bigger than that.
-
To nation, it was set of trying the badness. He
-
came in the spirit of Elijah, some of you and
-
amy U to remember that our teas was walking high
-
and preaching truth and.
-
Holded us and righteousness.
-
And I want you to know it's back. I said
-
that he is all time.
-
Preaching all time.
-
Hold of this SERVI says, Oh, they are God.
-
And what we will do we will refuse to.
-
Form an organization.
-
And what we will do, we will refuse.
-
The goad of denomination. So they go overseer her to.
-
This soul that God has got together.
-
What happened in the churches in this region.
-
And we had good church and believed in one way,
-
and another church that believed in another way. A church
-
of God up to worth thirty miles believed it different
-
than the Church of God over here. Another church of
-
God an hour away believed in different than another one
-
twenty minutes away from that one.
-
Where is the.
-
Community of the spirit of God.
-
Up between people of God.
-
And honor to the spirit of ft Mason. I say,
-
we're Christian soldiers. I say in the same cities. I say,
-
in the same spirit, Nay, God of North Teas men
-
to go into the same cities. And the Pioneer and
-
the old time Pentecostom style churches and a similar God
-
Girl and a Church of God Boy became independent. We
-
set aside our doctrinal differences. We came together with a
-
common denominator of the Word. We set aside to a
-
doctrinal differences, and we came together for the sake of
-
the Kingdom and for the sake of the Word of God.
-
And the end result is this.
-
The continuity in their.
-
Personal relationship and friendship is remarkable. I'm not talking about
-
the spirit of e communticism, where a bunch of church
-
and God preachers come together on a Friday night and
-
they shah lah lah lah lah over people they've been
-
quote working with for thirty years. You can work with
-
a rebel this person for thirty years all you want to.
-
That's not indicative nor of a good leadership ability, nor
-
is it a testimony to your patience. I've been working
-
with that sister for thirty years. I've been patient with her. Well,
-
what's your problem with your leadership? You ain't got the
-
Holy ghost a naughty because the Bible said the Holy
-
ghost will destroy you. We specialize in working with people.
-
In fact, every one of these people are working progress.
-
And I've been told about people sitting in the pews
-
right here. That's been with me for a while.
-
I've been taught by independent and nominal churches. Their pastors
-
included that there is no way we will help them.
-
There's no way they will change. They will never change.
-
That's right. We won't do it, but God we will
-
do it.
-
What I'm saying is, if it's good and pleasant for
-
brethren to dwell together in unity, then it must.
-
Be horribly terrible and unpleasant for them to be disunified.
-
It's not a batch of honor to go to a
-
meeting if it's a Baptist, Luther, Catholic, Church of God
-
assembling God. I'm picking on Church of God assembla God
-
because you're looking at former Church of God and dissembling God.
-
People July have grounds to say something. Now, if you're
-
a Lutheran or you're Catholic, you talk about the Lutherans.
-
And the Catholics and don't think it's funny.
-
I can talk about Church of God because.
-
The Howell family probably paid more tie than to the
-
Church of God over the last one hundred years in
-
any other family I knew. And she can talk about
-
the Assembly of God again we didn't come from pipsqueak
-
Church of God's and Assembly of God's out in the
-
sticks in the country as compromising. My text is this,
-
there was continuity between Mary and Elizabeth. I don't know
-
how long it had been since they had got together.
-
It could have been a good while since the how
-
will stand up right here? On December the twenty second,
-
nineteen ninety two, a Church of God boy knocked on
-
an Assembly of God girl's door.
-
And I've done the unthinkable and the unimaginable. I walked
-
through that.
-
Threshold on December twenty second, nineteen ninety two. Right today
-
is December twenty second, twenty twenty four, thirty two years
-
ago our relationship began. I'm preaching a sermon the Holy
-
Ghost titled a Charity Christmas.
-
I can remember it as it was yesterday. You can
-
sit down, Sister Howell.
-
I can remember getting out of that camaro, closing the door,
-
walking up on the front porch, being nervous as I
-
did the raditat.
-
Tattle on the door.
-
She came to the door with the biggest smile on
-
her face. Brother Butler, was just a beautiful moment. And
-
what I want to point out was the energy and
-
the excitement that became apparent in that.
-
Room at the moment of our union. I want to
-
point out.
-
The energy and the excitement that was evident by Zacharias
-
that anyone else that was pleasant when married and Elizabeth
-
came to get.
-
Thirty two years ago.
-
A lot of you remember your marital anniversary, the days
-
that you did, the commitals and the vowels. You remember
-
that day. We remember the day that we became official
-
because sister Howell, she says, you know, our wedding anniversary
-
is August twenty seventh, nineteen ninety four.
-
But she said, we've been married and we've been bonded.
-
Since December twenty second, nineteen ninety two.
-
That was the best Christmas when we came together.
-
God's people have gotten to forget about these obligations and
-
committals to denominations.
-
Come on, come on, I agree, my God. Where did
-
you side on the line that you have to die?
-
Church of God?
-
So we live and learn from history and historically we
-
now have evidence it does not work. I said, the
-
nominations do not work. I said, the nominations do not work.
-
Such a God, a similar God.
-
We forgot about it. They retain that the other, and
-
we fell in love of the Bible.
-
God.
-
I tell the pature be in this house, he got a.
-
Kid about some taste.
-
Lay there by hide they go on caller.
-
If they want a connection, there is a connection. Right
-
here's the reciprocal Just get connection. And that's what I'm
-
telling people that are looking for truta and righteousness or
-
the old top holding us so lo mon at nation Creepsure.
-
It's right here.
-
It's not to neither. Let's through the word of God
-
and through the Holy test I.
-
Say it's up here for that.
-
But you know what I see if the Lord Terry's
-
what God showed me in that office. I see a
-
holiness church in bell Bray.
-
I see a hol in this church includens.
-
The I see a home in this church of hell out.
-
I see a home in this church. Can a mocking
-
leave the room rail her hour?
-
I know?
-
I said, go ahead, tell him.
-
We're telling me that God tell.
-
Me O telling this. He's telling that the hell.
-
Tell that church of God.
-
Boys that got the back told on a red road.
-
You're to.
-
Tell him, tell him you're coming. Tell him set from
-
hold in this church is telling tell him liberty.
-
Hold in this church there is colored I tell him you.
-
Let this sitterble is hold and lo to.
-
The not what's any day?
-
But look coming, I'm trained soldiers there just coups rejexted
-
from the troll country. So called touches will become obsolete
-
when the power God comes over you, judge, we could
-
have followed over for me to be assembly God. Her
-
pastor wanted us to go with her.
-
My pastor wanted her to go with me. Early on
-
the DEVI will try to.
-
Get between us. I'm preaching on a charity Christmas. Wouldn't
-
it be wonderful if.
-
Just as she did on December twenty second, she said
-
I'm married to him? Wouldn't be wonderful?
-
On this December twenty second you get a charity Christmas
-
experience and you say what, I ain't married to denomination
-
ever again.
-
I ain't married to confusion ever again. I ain't never
-
dragging my daughter any of that mess again.
-
I ain't never gonna try to explain to Jesse again,
-
Oh I'm filling the holydays?
-
Would y'all rather shout get over this? I'll let your
-
mother try to explain to.
-
Your daughter why that.
-
Sister ain't living rights. Come on, I'm telling you this game.
-
When we can come together, then we can kill their
-
Energy of the exciteness of Inok, the House of God,
-
because of people have a common denominator.
