To the Book of Matthew, Saint Matthew's Gospel, the twenty

fourth chapter and the sixth verse, Brother Nathaniel, Luke, chapter

number ten and verse number forty one. Brother Jesse's Second Timothy,

chapter number one and verse number seven. If you're saved

and you know it, say amend. If you're not saved

this morning, you can be before we walk out of

those glass doors, praise the Lord. Brother Nathaniel, would you

read that, Luke, chapter number ten and verse number forty one.

And Jesus answered and said, unto her, Martha, Martha, now

are careful in troubled about many things. Those are the

words of Jesus to a wonderful woman who considered herself

to be one of his finest followers, not one of

us shoddiest followers, but one of his finest followers. The

words that she Jesus spoke to her may have been unwelcomed.

I don't know that she warmly received them.

But Jesus spoke words of instruction and correction to the

wonderful servant of the Lord, Martha, and he said, you're

troubled about many things. He didn't say you're troubled over

a few things. He said, you're troubled over many things.

Worry can weaken your soul, your spirit, and your body.

Brother Jesse's second Timothy chapter number one and worse number seven.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear,

but of power, and.

Of love and of a sound mind.

How many of you believe that God has not given

us the spirit of fear?

So, if God has not given.

Us the spirit of fear, if we're dealing with the

spirit of fear, who is the one handing that spirit out?

Who is the one offering that spirit of fear?

It must be Lucifer.

Right, Can we reach that conclusion together?

It must be Lucifer that's passing out the spirit of

fear upon the people of this generation.

Stand for the reading of our Golden Text in reverence

to the word of God. The text of God has

brought before us today Matthew chapter number twenty four. In

verse number six, the Bible says, and ye shall hear

of wars and rumors of wars, See that ye be

not troubled, for all these things must come to pass.

But the end is not yet. Notice the part of

that verse it goes like this, be not troubled. Be

not troubled. Be not troubled, but to stretch your hand

toward Heaven. Ask the Lord to help us this morn

in Heavenly Father.

We love it. We praise you. We thank you for

the opportunity to be in your house. Lord. I thank

you for these precious people. I'm a common denominator, peopil.

Of Jesus Christians in a relationship with their Master. I

prayed you would anoying this thy servant, said of God

in my mouth, help.

Me to say the things that you have me to say.

Nothing for left annoring the ears of this thy people,

that they might hear with the spirit of God, says

unto the Church. Lord, we thank you for what we've

I prayed God that we would not be hearers only,

but that we would heed.

Lord, may we depart this place joyfully and not sorrotly

in Jesus' name. And the church said, Amen, look at

your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor.

Are you a worry warrant? Are you a worry warrant?

Amen. Our text is found in.

A New Testament Book of the Holy Bible. The Book

of Matthew. The title bears the name of its author.

In this twenty fourth chapter and the twenty fifth chapter

to follow, these two chapters are connected, and they deal

with the second Coming of Christ. That is an exciting topic.

Over the years, I have heard of preachers and teachers

who have been apathetic concerning the twenty fourth and the

twenty fifth chapter of the Book of Matthew.

What I mean by.

That is they have had great apathy concerning the coming

of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I do not

believe it is wise at all for any preacher, pastor teacher, minister, parent,

or any believer to be somewhat apathetic concerning the events

of end times. Also, in nearly fifty years of attending

Pentecostal church services, I have witnessed some that have gone

extremely over bored and to the extent of predicting seasons

and times. I understand that we have an idea of

the seasons concerning in time events and.

The coming of Christ.

But I have been around those that have been apathetic, totally, absolutely, positively,

without a doubt, uninterested in the things of God, specifically

concerning the return of Jesus Christ. And in time events again,

I've seen others that have been way too excited to

the point that that's all that they talked about.

And because of the unbalanced.

Nature of members of both party, we have seen a

church spiraling downward on a downward spiral into confusion, and

the end result are troubled spirits. You think about Matthew,

the author of this particular book of the Bible, he

was really a tax collector, someone whose people would have

considered him to be treacherous, someone who the people would

have considered to be a deceiver, somebody that had stepped

outside of the boundaries that would have been considered normal

for the people of his persuasion and nationality, and he'd

done the unthinkable and the unimaginable. He collected taxes for

the Roman government. This is a man that would have

been very sensitive concerning the empire of the Roman people.

You'll think about this with me as I begin to

point this out. But this is the man that put

pen departsment and gave us this first Gospel. It is

the first book of the New Testament. If you will,

brother Matthew. He spans the mask gulf with a bridge

between the old and the New Testaments. God had miraculously

converted him. When Jesus Christ appeared, as he sat at

that desk that receipt of custom death, he left everything that.

He had in order to follow Jesus.

This man got hisself back in line, got his priorities writing,

and he followed Jesus every step of the.

At some point we find this man Matthew, probably along

with some of the other disciples.

They are sitting at the feet of Jesus.

Those of you that are Bible readers, teachers, and scholars,

you know that these two chapters are considered the all

of itt discourse.

And Brother Nathaniel, Jesus was.

The prince of preachers and the teacher of all teachers.

And they began to use them ears that God had

given them. They had ears to hear what the Spirit

of God said unto the churches.

Brother, they wrote cap Over these last fifty years.

Years of attendant Pentecostal church services, I have heard many

sermons given by preachers about end time events and the

second coming of the Lord. I've heard many lessons taught

by anointed Sunday school teachers that have plucked these things

out of these two Writings chapters. So while preachers and

teachers have taught on things forthcoming, just as Jesus had

taught his disciples there on the amount of olives, all

the things that were forthcoming, I too have experienced that.

But at times in the way that the preacher or

the teacher.

Is delivering the message, the end result was the spirit

of fear had gripped my soul. I know that there's

a lot of people in this building today that at

times battle the spirit of fear.

I know that there's.

Probably among this eighty people three or four word rewards.

It's just the nature of the beast of humanity. When

you get this many people together, there's gonna be somebody

leaning towards you being sensitive and holding on to the

spirit of fear.

They're gonna call it being cautious. They're gonna call it

being safety concerned.

I'm telling you there's somebody I'm preaching to today, and

God will help you if you allow him to. As

we read through this twenty fourth and the twenty fifth chapter,

we hear key words if preachers have used for years

in their sermons, and those words include wars and false

prophets and false christ and earthquakes.

How many of you feel like shouting just.

At the name of false prophets and false Christ. You

don't feel like shouting after hearing that, do you?

You do?

If you're a child of God, you get excited, get

your heart about these kind of things.

But there's very few of you getting excited.

As I mentioned the possibility of earthquakes everywhere. You're upset

at the thought of war breaking out. I remember reading

years ago that the great men of God, David Wickerson said,

at the time of.

His death, the end of all things is at hand.

A lot of people thought that those were the words

of David Wilkerson. They were not the words of David Wilkerson.

They were the words of the great Apostle Paul, who

wrote them in verse Peter, chapter number four and verse

number seven.

The sum of you already on the end of your QC.

And you're excited about the events of the end time unfolding.

You're excited about the second return of Jesus Christ. But

there's others right now. You are now biders and your upset.

And this is an unnerving topic and discussion that we're

There the thought of a huge war is terrified.

But I know that I would have to hold on

to and clutch and pull into my bosom the words

concerned and they began to ask questions concerning the.

preachers and teachers that we hear of today.

I'm sure there was some that were a little bit apathetic.

And Jesus's words were just like a water off to

It's hard for us to embrace that.

nose in prophetic literature all right, kept being God and

spirit of God.

facts give us statistics that we miss the message, we

lose the focus, and the end result is we have

worried somebody that should not have been worried. I do

believe that there is a healthy fear, and I do

believe that there is a godly fear. But certainly there

is an unhealthy feel I said.

Certainly there is.

An unhealthy fear. And one of the things Jesus told

his disciples in that particular chapter, he said, let no

man deceive you, And I hope you appreciate the revelation

of what I'm giving you here today. There has been

deception and manipulation in the house of God. Amongst Pentecostal

holiness and nominal people a people of all religious backgrounds

and persuasions. There has been manipulation and deception going on

in small churches and big churches. Are I wonder how

many little boys and how many little girls are got

too busy looking at the statistics of how many earthquakes

are happening in a certain region.

How many buzzards are gathered.

Together peaceing on carcassness in other reasons? What's the water

little over there in over out in the east near Babylonna.

You, as a young person, I would find myself worried

They weren't thinking clearly. They were troubled about many things, yes,

but they weren't taking clearly.

They thought, all of these events are gonna take place.

When are they gonna take place?

Tomorrow, next month, five years from now. They expected the

Lord to return in the immediate future, Brother Aaron Wood.

They expected the Lord to raise that city of Perusalem immediately,

Brother Jesse. But you know what Matthew could have said,

after a pen this gospel began to let it trickle

throughout the nations over there, he could say, well, just

hear the preaching of the word of God. Faith cometh

What want to be looking out? Is fulfilling a great commission?

How many says have reads? That's the statistic we should

be analyzing is how many people are deeps say that's
