  1. What we feel. I wanna say first, I appreciate the

  2. Man of God.

  3. He's been a bright and shining light in our life,

  4. and I truly.

  5. Love him and appreciate him. Accounted a great honor to.

  6. Stand behind the hoop dead, and I value his leadership.

  7. And everything he's done. He's been very kind to the

  8. road Cat family.

  9. We appreciate the Bethel hole in his church or church family.

  10. We're so glad to be here, so thankful for what

  11. the Lord's doing in this revival. He touched me in

  12. a mighty way Friday night, and uh, we're praying for

  13. that annoying. We need that this morning. That same annoyment

  14. gave Jesus the words he annoyed me to preach the godspel,

  15. and we wanna preach it to you this morning, and

  16. we need his help. I hope to trust that he'll

  17. annoying every heart this morning.

  18. We're gonna get into the word of the Lord. Acts

  19. chapter number seven. I got s. I'm gonna try not

  20. to read too much, but.

  21. I got several verses Acts Chapters number seven, Chapter number eight.

  22. Chapter number nine.

  23. Again, we appreciate that you being in the house of

  24. the Lord this morning and We're not going to take

  25. too much time this morning, but want to deliver my

  26. burden that the Lord give us Friday night during the

  27. service Acts Chapter number seven will begin in verse number

  28. fifty one, Acts seven and fifty one. Which of the

  29. prophets have not your father's persecuted? They have slained them,

  30. which showed before you the coming of the just One

  31. whom you've been. Now the betrayers and murderers go down

  32. the verse number fifty four. When they heard these things,

  33. they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed him

  34. with their teeth.

  35. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up

  36. steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God and

  37. Jesus standing on the right hand of God, verse fifty

  38. seven and fifty eight.

  39. And they cried with a loud voice. They stopped their ears.

  40. And ran upon him with one accord, cast him out

  41. of the city, and stoned him. And the witnesses laid

  42. down their clothes ring here make a mental note at

  43. the young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

  44. Went back to fifty one.

  45. I think I read the wrong VERSI stiff necked and

  46. circumcis and hardened years. You do always resist the Holy Ghost,

  47. as your fathers did, so do ye go fact to

  48. go to chapter number eight will reverses.

  49. One through four.

  50. And Saul was consenting unto his death, talking about Stephen.

  51. And at that time there.

  52. Was great persecution against the Church which was at Jerusalem.

  53. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea

  54. and Samary, except the apostles and devout men carried Stephen

  55. to his burial, made great lamentation over him. As for Saul,

  56. he made havoc of the church, entering into every house

  57. and hailing men and women, committed them to prison. And

  58. therefore that they were scattered abroadland everywhere, preaching the word.

  59. Persecution couldn't stop the church. Prison couldn't stop the church.

  60. The devil couldn't stop the church. Saul couldn't stop the Church.

  61. Through chapter number nine the three verses one through eight,

  62. and Saul yet breathe out threatenings and slaughter against the

  63. disciples of the Lord.

  64. He went to the High Priest desired of him letters

  65. to Damascus, to the sin of Googue.

  66. If he found any of this way, whether they were

  67. men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

  68. And as he journeyed.

  69. He came near Damascus in southern They're shined around about him,

  70. alight from heaven, and he fell on the earth and

  71. heard a voice saying, unto him, saw Saul, why persecutest

  72. thou me?

  73. He said, who art thou Lord?

  74. And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest.

  75. It is hard for thee to kick against the priest.

  76. He trembling and astonished, said Lord, what would thou have

  77. me to do?

  78. And Lord said, unto him, arise and going to the city,

  79. he shall be told thee what thou must do. And

  80. the men journey with him stood speechless here, and the

  81. voice been seeing no man, and saw arose from the earth.

  82. When his eyes were open, he saw no man. But

  83. they led him by the hand and brought him up

  84. to Mascus. You could be seated in the presence of

  85. the Lord. We desire your prayers this this morning. And

  86. we know that the author of this book is Luke,

  87. and he's He wasn't among the original disciples the Apostles.

  88. In fact, Luke was a gentile.

  89. At some point in his life, he became converted to Christianity.

  90. Later on, he would become a companion of this man's song,

  91. who would later be known as Paul.

  92. But I asked Brother Roy this morning. Luke gives us

  93. the details.

  94. He interviewed eye witnesses, and he chronicleized, and he detailed

  95. the life and the ministry of Jesus Christ.

  96. He gives us one of the Gospels.

  97. In fact, it is the largest in volume and context

  98. of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. And he

  99. also gave us in the account of the early Church

  100. and the disciples of the Apostles as they went into

  101. the Upper Room and the promise was fulfilled. There was

  102. lou that gave us the account of the day of Pentecost.

  103. And something else I want to point out that I

  104. believe is important is as Loo, the author of.

  105. The Beloved Physician.

  106. He spoke more about concerning the Holy Ghost than any

  107. other author, any other person in the Bible, in the

  108. New Testament. He spoke more of the He was intrigued,

  109. and he was interested at the moving and the power

  110. and the presence of the Holy Ghost.

  111. It was Jesus.

  112. The Holy Ghost was the driving force behind the life

  113. and the ministry of Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost was present,

  114. and his birth and his baptism and during his ministry.

  115. It is the Holy Ghost that was the driving force.

  116. It still is the driving force in the church today.

  117. Amen, He said, you don't have.

  118. To read too far in the Luke's writings to find him.

  119. He is there.

  120. He is there upon the birth of Christ. He is

  121. there after the ascension. You will read this book here,

  122. the Book of Acts. You don't have to read very far.

  123. He finding there in Acts chapter one, first number two.

  124. The Holy Ghost right Jesus and Terry in Jerusalem, Terry

  125. there in the upper room you shall received the promise.

  126. And hey, there was a lot of witnesses out there yesterday.

  127. That's what he gives us, the Holy Ghost for amen

  128. to be his witnesses, to be fearless, to be unashamed,

  129. and to be unafraid. They meant to promote Christ and

  130. the Gospel, and to live a life of holiness before

  131. this lost and dying world. It is the Holy Ghost

  132. who is the driving force. And would you agree with

  133. me this morning that the church is powerless without the

  134. presence and the power of the Holy Ghost.

  135. And the churches are.

  136. Unable to effectively fulfill the mission and purpose because they

  137. like the spiritual strength needed to transform a life and.

  138. To spread the continues of the Gospel.

  139. And too many churches have a form of godliness, but

  140. they deny the power that up to such we are

  141. told to turn away. Oh, we can't function without the unction.

  142. I can't preach this morning without my help or.

  143. Amen, Amen, Amen, and I want to move on this morning,

  144. say Luke, the beloved physician brings us this narrative this morning.

  145. From our reading, we find that Saul of Tarsus has

  146. persecuted the church.

  147. He has jill Christians.

  148. He has consented even under their death and kill people

  149. from the pagina. I mean the church came out of

  150. that up perum. I mean the church was crowing. May

  151. mean the church was glowing. The church was on fire

  152. with the seal age.

  153. Man, they were.

  154. Peptiles, that's what the holy ghost and fire. And they

  155. didn't stay in the upperuma, aymen. But they began to

  156. reach out to They began to evangelize.

  157. Heymen.

  158. They began to witness a man. How they Huya and

  159. Judea Samaria. Amen on to the outermost part of the earth, heymen.

  160. The gospel spread the art contemn it is spread to

  161. our part of the contract. Heymen, the Gospel was pressed

  162. and art com eunity yesterday, and we needed the help

  163. of the Holy Ghost. The devil doesn't like that, right,

  164. Those religious leaders did not appreciate that. Men such as

  165. a soul of Torsius, those religious leaders, those scribes.

  166. Amen.

  167. Again, the church was immediately began to be persecuted. Amen,

  168. for their preaching things that were happening, miracles.

  169. In their mins, mirror in their communities, miracles in their neighborhoods,

  170. and attracted the attention of the religious leaders, and attracted

  171. the attention of the devil.

  172. And they began to push against the church. But again,

  173. persecution will not stop the church. Prison will not stop

  174. the church. The pharisees cannot stop the church, but Davil

  175. cannot stop the church.

  176. Jesus told Peter pull this rock, I'll killed my.

  177. Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against him.

  178. But he persecuted town, consented, even killed people that were

  179. found to be in this way Christians. He persecuted the church,

  180. but his persecuted Christ. The truth is he wasn't only

  181. fighting against the Church, he was fighting against God. This

  182. is Paul, a pharisee of the Pharisee the Hebrew.

  183. Oh that he ajuday eyes Er, a man that followed

  184. the law to the letter. He felt like, I.

  185. Believe brother Azard, that he was doing God's pity. Amen,

  186. who grew up at the feet of Tommelio.

  187. Right.

  188. Amen.

  189. And to Cammellio, you remember back in that's chapter number five,

  190. he does talk about the account of man A Nasa

  191. and so far, y'all bear with me here, heyman, the

  192. Lord was pouring in a whole lot of me last night, aymen,

  193. as I studied the scriptures, heymember, what did Commalil telled him?

  194. You know?

  195. He sat on the fence and Pastor.

  196. Preached the message on Commealio's guidance. Ain't nobody seconds turning

  197. these men?

  198. Amen?

  199. He said, let them alone. Let's just sit back and

  200. let's see what happened. So he talked about a man

  201. in Tadeus, he talked about a man in Judas, how

  202. their work cake or not.

  203. And he said, let these men alone.

  204. Unless he be found to fight against God. And Paul

  205. was fighting against God. He was fighting against the Church.

  206. He wasn't only persecuting God's people, he was persecuting the

  207. Lord Jesus Christ and I just want to show you

  208. the the measures and and and where where it took.

  209. Him, the seal that he had.

  210. And.

  211. How far it took him.

  212. Amen, But you you recalled that there and uh so

  213. uh I mentioned that there.

  214. But I want I want to move on.

  215. But so here chapter nine, we're gonna get to where

  216. our text is this morning.

  217. Again, I don't want to keep you too long, but

  218. we fight Paul.

  219. And at this point he saw of Tarsus and he's

  220. had a life changing. In counter, he had a head

  221. on collision with the Lord Jesus Christ.

  222. Hey, no, come on now, I remember twenty plus years ago.

  223. Amen, on a dead end road, brother Nathaniel, I had

  224. a head on collision with Jesus Christ.

  225. And the light of the Gospel was preach to me. Amen,

  226. the light of the Church reaching, the light of the.

  227. Word reaching me.

  228. And I had a count Amen to the understanding. And

  229. I had to contest the sin that was in my life. Man,

  230. God transformed my life. Many of us contestify this morning

  231. of the transforming In counter.

  232. Amen, And oh praise God.

  233. Amen. If you're not saved this morning, Amen, I pray

  234. you heaven encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen, that'll

  235. transform your life of Amen, retierates your life of Amen.

  236. That'll bring you out of that darkness and into the light. Amen,

  237. out of the out of the devil's clutches, up and

  238. into the arms of the saint or the sport the

  239. souls conversing.

  240. Very significant because this became the turning point.

  241. In his life. And might I say, if he had.

  242. Not surrendered to the Lord, it would have been the

  243. tipping point in his life. And that may be where

  244. somebody is this morning. You're on that, amen, that fine

  245. line that teeter tottering.

  246. Amen.

  247. Liking that brother and mother of the Daniel, I appreciated

  248. that teaching that lesson this morning.

  249. Amen, you're on that fine line.

  250. Between this field and this field, between living for God

  251. or living for the devil, or living for yourself and.

  252. Your sin and your selful and self lessures. Amen.

  253. This could be the tipping point or the turning point, Amen,

  254. to the next chapter in your life.

  255. Amen. Amen, Amen, let's read it again.

  256. And as he turned, he came near Damascus, and suddenly the.

  257. Signed around about him a lot from heaven.

  258. And he fell to the.

  259. Earth, and he heard a voice saying under him that

  260. these words were and read, this is Jesus Christ speaking.

  261. Amen. The poet saw soul. Why persecute to tell me? Soul?

  262. Soul that sow you well? Why?

  263. Why?

  264. Why? Why are you doing the things that you're doing? Amen?

  265. Why are you want decide it?

  266. Amen?

  267. Why are you ten or toddy?

  268. Why are you on the verge of the tarning point

  269. on the tipping point this morning? Amen?

  270. How Didlujah? Why? Amen? He said, who are the Lord?

  271. He acknowledged he was speaking to Colley. He acknowledged that

  272. heaven divorce.

  273. And he said amen. He said amen.

  274. Oh he did not.

  275. He did not steer away.

  276. And I'm paraphrasing for the heavenly calling that heavenly voice.

  277. Aymen. I spoke to him. He said, who are the Lord?

  278. And Jesus identifies himself and said, I am Jesus whom

  279. now persecute us. It's hard for to eat a kick

  280. against the prins. And for a few moments this morning,

  281. I want to ask you this question.

  282. Are you sick.

  283. Of kicking against the pricks? Are you sick of kicking

  284. against the pricks? Does anybody know what that means? Kicking

  285. against the prince pastor would know? Does anybody brother Rick

  286. Jacob might know he said his dad was a farmer,

  287. but that means kick against the ox code. Heymen, that

  288. was an instrument or a tool that the farmer would

  289. use to steer that eye to that animal into the

  290. right direction.

  291. And then and oft times and sometimes.

  292. Amen, that that animal or that ox heman would repel

  293. or become disobedient. Aymen, in that one that's in then

  294. forty would have to broke him and.

  295. Prod that animal to get him going in the right direction.

  296. And that's what the Lord's been doing in this revival, Amen, pastors,

  297. taking amen the ox code, he's taking the pridge, even

  298. the word of good that's prodded you.

  299. Even the revivalist stuff.

  300. That's prodded you, the Holy ghost that's prought you. And

  301. I want to ask you how you're sick of kicking

  302. against the prince.

  303. It's hard.

  304. The way of the transgressor is hard. Come on, can

  305. be so much easier if you just let God have

  306. his way.

  307. It be so much easier on the man of talk,

  308. if you just let dog have.

  309. His way, and be so much easier on the pastor,

  310. if you just.

  311. Let God have his way. Amen, it prays talk.

  312. How they losing.

  313. Amen.

  314. Oh, they use this tool to steer that animal in

  315. the right direction. Saw, And I want to speak to

  316. a soul, and it is hard.

  317. For thee to kick against the pricks.

  318. Heymen, Saw, sir, or man, whoever I'm preaching to, I'm

  319. just morning huh. Amen, you've been kicking against the pricks.

  320. You've been stubbornly fighting against something.

  321. Now let me say you've.

  322. Been fighting against someone, amen, who never changes, who hasn't

  323. changed his fade, who has it change.

  324. His way and what he requires of your life.

  325. Amen, you even found to be fighting against him.

  326. And you're fighting will be unsuccessful.

  327. You know why the Outreage was successful as a church

  328. because we were fighting for God and we weren't fighting

  329. against God.

  330. Man.

  331. And the more you resist, I said, the more you resist,

  332. the more you resist, the more you repel, the more

  333. you repel, the more you catch.

  334. Amen.

  335. Stephen declared to those religious leaders as he made his defense.

  336. Amen, he said, you still that.

  337. And uncircumcised heart, brother, the than you're talking about the

  338. feeling of the heart this morning, Amen, he said, you

  339. uncircumcised of the heart.

  340. And heres have we been hearing what the spirit's been saying? Amen.

  341. To the church. Amen.

  342. He said, you always resist the Holy coast as your

  343. fathers did, So do ye. And if you keep kicking

  344. against God's will, if you keep resisting God's playing, you're

  345. only causing.

  346. Hurt and more harm. Amen to yourself.

  347. That's what would happen when that as to that animal,

  348. that peace would kick against the prig, the priding Amen,

  349. the person. Amen, that's in authority. You're only hurting yourself.

  350. And that not only fact. You're hurting those around you.

  351. You're hurting your family, You're hurting the churchs Amen, You're

  352. hurting God.

  353. Amen. Oh God, it'll cause you pain or trouble until

  354. you get sick of it. Amen.

  355. And so I'll hear that and that Sunday school lesson. Heymen,

  356. I knew it got dealt with my heart. Heymen in

  357. that service Friday night. Hey man, brother, the thing you

  358. broke that hand about them terrors, it'll make you nauseous,

  359. it will make you sick. Are you sick of sewing

  360. the devil seeds? Are you sick of sewing the seeds

  361. of Satan? The seeds have man gott appeal the south? Heymen,

  362. the seeds of sin?

  363. Are you sick?

  364. Of it. Are you sick?

  365. I'm kicking against the prince. God has dealt with you

  366. in this revival. God has made it cleaner. God has

  367. made it so crystal clear. God has made it so plain.

  368. And some of you have even said, I know what

  369. God wants me to do. Why don't you just do?

  370. As a preacher of yesterday and his pastor and said

  371. so many times, what God wants you to do. I

  372. could be preaching to my kids this morning, I could

  373. be talking to my sons, I could be talking to

  374. my daughter.

  375. Amen.

  376. But God has dealt with you. Hey man, You're just

  377. like Soul or Paul at this point. You're just like

  378. that animal that ox kicking against the gold. The Bible

  379. said he didn't know what to do. Good and do

  380. it and no amen to him and his sin. Heymen,

  381. it's hard, Amen, I said again.

  382. I'll say it again the way of the transgressor. It's hard.

  383. It's hard for them to kick against the prince. Why

  384. are you sick? I'm kicking against the Prince? Are you

  385. sick and tired of it?

  386. Hey man?

  387. Are you sick and tired by the way you've been living?

  388. Why are you sick and tired?

  389. I'm going against the word of God. Why are you singing?

  390. Tired?

  391. I'm resistant Spirit of God?

  392. Are you weary?

  393. Are you exhausted? Oh? Come on now and been the

  394. invitations still clear?

  395. Come on to me all you got labored and have

  396. me laden and I'll give you rest.

  397. Tell you why are your compon you? And learning me cry?

  398. Making lonely of heart? And you'll find rest for your souls.

  399. Are you well?

  400. Are you tired?

  401. Have been sin? It is a hard test, mass, Satan

  402. is a hard doing. It's your way. You'll get harder

  403. and harder and heart.

  404. Of us all amen. He had to come off that

  405. high horse, heymen, Tall Saul became small Paul Amen. And

  406. he's surrendered to God. And that's what you need to do.

  407. Amen. Amen.

  408. Why don't you just do it?

  409. Amen? I want to hurt you this morning, heymen, I

  410. come for the perdent. He ain't gonna try not to

  411. precate much longer. Amen. But I heard what the Lord

  412. said to his prophet, I heard what he said to

  413. his servant. I heard what he said to the man

  414. of talk.

  415. Heymen, do you sence the urgency this morning? Do you

  416. know that it's an emergency?

  417. This morning. Six months, six months, six months, that's not

  418. a lot.

  419. Of time, Amen, I need this helps.

  420. Stop fighting against God's leading, stop fighting against pastors leading,

  421. stop fighting against the Holy coast.

  422. To leave this morning.

  423. It's only gonna cost you again. And how there's your family? Hey?

  424. Man, Just more frustration, more pain, more heartship, more distress,

  425. I said, more distress?

  426. How plain?

  427. That's a preacher need to preach? How plain? Does God

  428. need to speak?

  429. Hey?

  430. Before you to.

  431. Kit it through your head, and not only in.

  432. Your head, but get it in your heart and your

  433. spirit and your soul this morning. Submit to God's plan

  434. for your life. Plant yourself in that field, Amen, Stay

  435. in that field. Submit to God's plan for your life.

  436. Fully submit, fully surrender.

  437. Yourself to come be like the apostle Paul.

  438. Heymen, Hey, he said, Lord, Well without having to do

  439. But you said Lord, or you.

  440. Told us, I know what the Lord wants me to do?

  441. Oh God? Amen? Amen. In the truth of the matter

  442. is is that you know? Amen?

  772. to make me something.

  773. I went to the store and I found this cane

  777. needed to preach this this morning, and that's how we're

  778. gonna win. That's how we're gonna reach him. But it hurt?

  779. Does it hurt?

  780. Does it hurt? Are you past feeling rights, your consence

  781. being seeing?

  782. Or is it being pricked as long as he can

  783. prick it, as long as it hurts you can feel you,

  784. can I feel him? And I want us to make

  785. our way to the altar this morning. I want somebody
