  1. Congratulations to Brother Jonathan and sister of Hannah on expecting

  2. a baby. Time will tell its gender. Whatever the gender is,

  3. it's a blessing from the Lord. We miss the kidni's

  4. family today. Their view is empty. Oh how we missed them.

  5. Others that are out due to sickness, we miss them.

  6. But we're glad you're here. And God wants to speak

  7. to somebody this morning, Brother Caleb confirmed that would you

  8. turn with me to Saint Matthew's Gospel. May I direct

  9. your attention to the nineteenth chapter in the twenty seventh verse,

  10. Brother Nathaniel, First Corinthians, chapter number two and verse number nine.

  11. Brother Jesse Matthew, chapter number sixteen and verse number seventeen.

  12. We want to say thank you, Brother Jeremiah, for all

  13. you do concerning for birving these messages of these great

  14. men of God. The preacher at the Bethel hold in

  15. this church on a weekly basis. Thank you for preserving

  16. and archiving those messages that they may be retrieved and

  17. listen to at a later date. Praise the Lord. I

  18. appreciate all of the preachers that are here this morning.

  19. I am your biggest fan. I'm in your corner. Rooting

  20. and cheering for you all. I appreciate you so much.

  21. I appreciate every part of this church, every member in particular,

  22. every ministry, every fact that administry, just everything that everybody

  23. is doing for the kingdom and for their local church family.

  24. Thank you so much. Do you appreciate the work that

  25. these men did yesterday? Around here? My looks so good

  26. around the place, Brother Nathaniel, First Corinthians, chapter number two

  27. and verse number nine. As it is written, I have

  28. not seen, nor you're heard, neither have inn into the

  29. heart of man the things which God has prepared for

  30. them that love him. How many of you believe the

  31. Lord has some things prepared for his children. As a

  32. mother prepares things for her children on a daily basis,

  33. her children are benefited because of her love for them

  34. and her care and her preparation and her provision for

  35. those children. Even though at times and children might question

  36. what's in it for me, Mama, and they may face

  37. times of uncertainty. Mama has their best interest in my

  38. and Mama is always preparing them for their future. If

  39. she's a good mother. I preach of a good mother

  40. right there, a god feared mother. If she is a

  41. god feared and a good mother. She is preparing for

  42. her children. There's no need for concern. But I want

  43. to preach a message the Holy Ghost time real people

  44. with real concerns. Brother Jesse Matthew, chapter number sixteen and

  45. verse number seventeen. And Jesus answered and said, up to him,

  46. let's start. Thou signon for Johanna. For flesh and blood

  47. hath not revealed it unto THEE, but my Father, which

  48. is in heaven, praise the Lord. Let's stand for our

  49. golden text. We will read that here now. Matthew nineteen,

  50. chapter number nineteen, verse number twenty seven. The Bible says,

  51. then answered Peter and said, unto him, behold, we have

  52. forsaken all and followed THEE. What shall we have there?

  53. For?

  54. By the showing of hands? How many people in this building,

  55. they tell me they're seventy to seventy two people present.

  56. How many of the people in this building have ever

  57. heard a message preached on that verse? How many people

  58. in this building have ever heard anyone preach on the

  59. latter part of that verse? Nobody. I've been in church

  60. a half a century, nearly fifty years, and I've never

  61. heard anyone point out to me the latter part of

  62. that verse. What shall we have therefore, real people with

  63. real concerns? Who's speaking that? Peter? Behold, we have forsaken all, Sister,

  64. howell and follow thee Jesus. What shall we have therefore?

  65. What shall we have? Therefore?

  66. What's in it for us?

  67. What's in it for me? Will you stretch your hand

  68. toward Heaven? Ask the Lord to help us this morning.

  69. Heavenly Father, we love it, We praise you, We thank

  70. you for the opportunity to be in your house. I

  71. pray God, as the Holy Ghost has pool this portion

  72. of scripture up and out of the Bible and presented

  73. it before us, that we will get a hold of

  74. what it is the Holy Ghost is pointing out to

  75. us this day. May be a servant specific Lord for

  76. our situation. To whomever the Holy Ghost is speaking to

  77. which you help me set a guard up my mouth

  78. and help me to say the things that you would

  79. have me to say. Nothing more lessen on the ears

  80. of this type people that they might hear what there's

  81. the Spirit of God says or to the church this morning.

  82. Let the sayings go below the shoulders, not just in

  83. one ear and out to other. God, not in our

  84. mind only, but in our spirits. Saturate our soul. Help

  85. us to hear, really hear what the Spirit of God says,

  86. and not to hear only, but to heed. We give

  87. you the praise and honor the glory and Jesus' name

  88. of the Church. Said hey, man, look at your neighbor,

  89. and say, hey, neighbor, do you have some concerns? Again

  90. pointing out that golden text that was given to us

  91. by the Holy Ghost to present to you this morning

  92. and to preach from. Also a thought that was confirmed

  93. by a preacher of the Gospel, brother Kate road cap

  94. There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the

  95. Spirit of God is speaking to somebody today. Matthew nineteen,

  96. chapter number twenty seven then answered Peter and said it

  97. to him, Behold, we have forsaken all and followed thee.

  98. What shall we have? Therefore? Our text is found in

  99. a New Testament book of the Holy Bible. The title

  100. bears the name of its author. I believe this apostle

  101. and disciple of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, had

  102. considered the cost and consequences of following Jesus as our

  103. Lord minister during his earthly ministry for a period of

  104. three and a half years. Matthew, who are also called Levi,

  105. would have had no regrets for making that quick decision

  106. that eventful and faithful day that our Lord called him.

  107. As he sat there and served the Roman government as

  108. tax collector, the Lord Jesus, God incarnate, the Living Word himself,

  109. approached this individual, addressed him and commissioned him again. God Incarnate,

  110. the living, vibrant.

  111. Abundant Word of God.

  112. Approached this tax collector, addressed him and commission Matthew to

  113. walk alongside of him on a day basis. The Lord

  114. Jesus did not request the company of a.

  115. Part time disciple.

  116. Our Lord Jesus requested that Matthew feel a full time position.

  117. Ha.

  118. Many of you are thankful that you are a full

  119. time Christian, that you served the Lord faithfully twenty four

  120. hours of day, seven days a week, fifty two weeks

  121. out of the year. And so the Lord requested his

  122. presence and his servitude on a daily basis. Matthew did

  123. exactly that. And I'm amazed that Matthew's decision making skills

  124. get the.

  125. Imagery with me.

  126. He is busy working in a tax collector's booth, and

  127. another Jew, because he himself was a Jew.

  128. But this other Jew is a.

  129. Stranger, and a stranger approaches him and charges him to

  130. drop everything.

  131. And follow him.

  132. Notice his decision making skills and ability.

  133. The Bible says immediately, not momentarily, not.

  134. After a while, not after much prayer and contemplation, but

  135. immediately Matthew realized this was the best path forward. I'm

  136. sure when he was confronted with truth himself, he knew

  137. that there was no need.

  138. To collect additional information.

  139. It was time to drop everything and follow Jesus. Of course,

  140. he would have wondered what the future hell for one

  141. who would dare do such a thing. He could testify today,

  142. right now, in this moment, if.

  143. We could approach him and ask the question was it

  144. worth it?

  145. He can testify and say, without any reservation, wholeheartedly, it.

  146. Was so worth it. How many in this build in

  147. this morning, by the.

  148. Showing are the raising of a hand.

  149. Can testify that the biggest and the greatest decision of

  150. your life was that night you decided.

  151. To follow Jesus.

  152. I believe that Matthew, this apostle and disciple, would have

  153. said this, no doubt it was the best decision and

  154. the greatest decision of my life.

  155. Sister Howl and I.

  156. As well, we can testify and say the greatest thing

  157. that we ever did do was when we took off

  158. the old.

  159. Coat and put on the news.

  160. Whenever we quit serving the devil and begin to serve

  161. in Jesus. This no doubt, we are who we are today,

  162. even though that is not much. It is because of

  163. the most important decision that we as believers have made

  164. to make Jesus Christ.

  165. Lord and Savior of our lives.

  166. Oh yes, this people in this building that have made

  167. the same decision.

  168. Recently, Brother caleber.

  169. Road Cap was testified in a service that he said,

  170. I came to a cross road that at some point

  171. in the last couple of years, I've made a decision

  172. that this is my life, that I'm okay with my

  173. life as a blood boat, born again, a holiness sacopied, set.

  174. Apart, child of God. Oh yes, we have.

  175. Made some other important decisions in our lifetime, some which

  176. have impacted our help to Some have made poor decisions,

  177. while others have made great decisions concerning their health to well, Philip.

  178. Others have made investment choices and decisions that impacted their

  179. families of the future. There are things that we must

  180. face and decisions that we must make, and we must

  181. consider the cost and the consequences of the investments, the surrenderings,

  182. and the sacrifices of How many in this building today

  183. will agree that our decision to give a life to Jesus.

  184. Was the most important invest decision that we ever made.

  185. It's nanimous.

  186. Nobody in our company today could say it was a

  187. bad decision.

  188. Amongst those that chose to follow Jesus immediately, there was

  189. only onarner of twelve that seemingly was not on.

  190. Board her with the overall plan and vision of our Lord.

  191. In That man's name was Judas.

  192. But there were nothing others that were all born immediately.

  193. When presented with the opportunity, they embraced.

  194. It by the four locks and said, he this.

  195. Is too good of a deal to lose.

  196. It's too good of a deal to refuse her, and

  197. I must take action immediately.

  198. One philosopher sent.

  199. That when opportunity presents itself, we must reach.

  200. Out and granted by.

  201. The four locksa before it passes us bye. There is

  202. bible for that, that's on a biblical basis.

  203. The Bible said we draw not of God, he draws

  204. not of us.

  205. It also says no man coming to the Father unless.

  206. The Spirit to draw him of her. Preachers over the

  207. year's tell how the Angel of the.

  208. Lord trouble the waters at certain seasons concerning her the

  209. proper time of ministry. Some answered immediately, and their ministry

  210. was effective immediately because of their immediate obedience. Other pushed

  211. it back, others prolonged.

  212. I wonder how many people went to hell. I wonder

  213. how many.

  214. People got on the wrong way because somebody chose to

  215. prolonger their diseasion or come on now than not that

  216. we got seen our decision brought for the immediate benefits

  217. and lessons. We were immediately the possessors of love and joy.

  218. Peace and purpose.

  219. There's no doubt the moment of Matthew's calling, he wondered,

  220. what is in this for me? Since he was giving

  221. up a great pen job, since he was giving.

  222. Up being a must upper middle class, and perhaps going

  223. to her end up without much. Oh, come on, that

  224. doesn't seem like much to somebody.

  225. That doesn't have her anything to sacrifice. But Peters said, hey,

  226. some of us said, we left a lot. Some of us, said,

  227. have persecu all that some of us are not like her,

  228. and a nicense supplier attention. Some of us are not

  229. looking for honor in that local assembly. Some of us

  230. sa are without question. We were to give everything that

  231. he requires of us.

  232. Did somebody pray for me today? You see this man Matthew, no.

  233. Doubt, because of his mindset, and because of his position

  234. with the Roman government, because of his occupation and his title, and.

  235. His favor with Rome, he would have contemplated it. But

  236. think about it with me. He didn't take long to

  237. reach him of decision. He was giving up a good job,

  238. a great paying job.

  239. I already said that he thought about the compensation for

  240. the enormous sacrifice to be greater.

  241. Then come on the reward of.

  242. The sacrifice to be greater than those things that were

  243. being given.

  244. To him by the Roman government.

  245. I think Matthew wasn't as outspoken about.

  246. His as Peter was. Our going and.

  247. Text shed some light on the thoughts and the mindset

  248. of Peter. We know Peter as that vocal apostle and

  249. our going in text Matthew nineteen and twenty seven, The

  250. Bible said, then exwered Peter and said under him, behold,

  251. we have forsaken all.

  252. Do you seeing, Jesus, Do you see this fishing merchant

  253. out there tether to the doctor. Do you see James

  254. and John's days of and Eve out there? Men and

  255. lets her?

  256. Do you see her, the all inclusive sacrificer of myself?

  257. We are prosaken all. Notice he did not forsake his wife.

  258. Though he kept his wife the man, but he said

  259. we are prosacn all, and followed to the Remember.

  260. Jesus had warned them and said, I do not even

  261. have a residence. I don't own a piece of land.

  262. Him that created the world did.

  263. Not even own a quarter acre lot.

  264. There was no men of his son, primous head older,

  265. There was no permanent resident seed. Jesus sept of Tona

  266. from the very beginning for all of his disciples and

  267. apostles and polers to understand, this world is only temporary

  268. for the believer.

  269. It is not our eternal, twiling place.

  270. And Jesus was letting them know from the very beginning,

  271. even though the earth is the lords and the fullness thereof,

  272. he was letting them know, one day will be the.

  273. Salter, the earth will melt her with a pair of heta, and.

  274. You don't need to worry about the things from this world.

  275. Oh come on now, I love the money.

  276. Oh trees, their furn line here in the bell. But

  277. one day they will be.

  278. Mere power for the power and brimstone that runs her

  279. out of the glory.

  280. Word upon those.

  281. A chooser willingly not to follow Jesus.

  282. Can I tell ever a person they considered the contemplating

  283. the all straight.

  284. And the consequences auponlling Christ. You ought to think about

  285. the alternative.

  286. You ought to think about the reprecussion.

  287. You ought to think.

  288. About the actor Mappa of not choosing the Lord, of

  289. not doing that what God told you to do.

  290. Amen, listen, let me be clear, following Jesus as its

  291. benefits and as tremendous rewards, as brother Caleb Broke Cap said,

  292. And that statement is right here in my notes. But

  293. I want you all to know also in my notes

  294. as this statement, I don't serve him for the rewards.

  295. For the benefits.

  296. I don't serve him for the rewards for the benefits.

  297. I don't abide in obedience with him as calling for

  298. the blessings. But I do want you to know he

  299. does daily load of obedience with benefits. Eighteen years ago.

  300. When God sends us to Howell and I down here

  301. on a mission. He commissioned me.

  302. I was doing pretty good financially, in a pretty good

  303. situation concerning an inheritance, and I mean, sister whooping.

  304. It was all before me, but just a brid future.

  305. It was just a matter of time and.

  306. It would be mine. But when God present.

  307. Me with an option and an opportunity, import.

  308. To that, my earthly people.

  309. Had decided for me. I do appreciate their plans for

  310. my future. I do appreciate their provision.

  311. As earthly fathers.

  312. And mothers and grandpas and great uncles.

  313. I do appreciate work opportunities and.

  314. Job opportunities and all of that. They were only in

  315. the scripture in their provision.

  316. And provide for me.

  317. I did not walk away from it because I didn't appreciate.

  318. It of was ungrateful.

  319. I did not walk away from it because they were

  320. hard to get along with.

  321. I walked away from whatever was there, and I do

  322. say was there.

  323. I walked away from.

  324. Whatever was there because.

  325. I saw the benefits of gold being God.

  326. I knew that the bi pits of gold man.

  327. God and the blessings of gold Man God were much.

  328. Greater than any reward from any man. Can I tell

  329. you that Matthew.

  330. Could have got called up in a mindset that he

  331. was climbing up the corporate ladder within the.

  332. Empire of Rome.

  333. But no, and Matthew did not get caught up climbing

  334. on the rugs of.

  335. The ladder of the Corporation of Roma.

  336. But nother jesse.

  337. He turned away from scaling up the corporate or the

  338. governmental ladder, and he followed somebody.

  339. Who seemingly had nothing to offer, who seemingly.

  340. Had no retirement, have no benefit plan. Oh come on,

  341. but if you'll look deeper, you will see the poor

  342. work in the hospot. Reach to them, you will see

  343. the finding eyes of For me, it up death years

  344. of here and again the dead are being rayed letters

  345. and a sick of hoy and hell.

  346. I'm telling you look at.

  347. The situation his spiritual life and not with natural life.

  348. Somehow Matthew believe what he had heard. He believed what

  349. he had seen. But more than that, he knew they.

  350. Believed what he felt.

  351. He knew believed and trusted what he felt in his soul,

  352. in his heart. I served Jesus because I love him.

  353. There was something about this man, many noted, and never

  354. did a man speak like this man, Never did a

  355. man do such actions as this man did. I serve

  356. him for who he is. I serve him because I

  357. love him. I'm sure every Christian and each child of

  358. God has taught at least a about their future and

  359. what awaits them in this life and the afterlife. In

  360. First Corinthians two and nine it said, but as it

  361. is written, I have not seen nor ear heard, neither

  362. have it entered into the heart of man, the things

  363. which God hath.

  364. Prepared for them that love him.

  365. I was praying about this verse of scripture and about

  366. this message by the jesse and the Holy Ghost. He

  367. promised the preachers that if we put it inside, he

  368. would bring it to our remembrance.

  369. And as I was pondering and praying.

  370. About discernment, I went back to an encounter that Peter

  371. had with the Master and brother Nathaniel. Jesus said, who

  372. do they say that I am?

  373. He went on to say, but who do you say

  374. that I am?

  375. And Peter said, thou art the Christ, the son of

  376. the Living God. Was Jesus's response to Peter's answer, He said, Peter,

  377. Blessing Blood hath not revealed this unto thee who was

  378. the revelator who gave Peter that understanding and that revelation,

  379. the Father, the Triune Godhead, was revealing to Peter just

  380. exactly who it wasn't was standing there. And that's what

  381. the Bible said in another place, it is the Lord

  382. that worketh in you vote to wield and to do

  383. of his good pleasure.

  384. If there is a desire.

  385. In your heart to do something for God, including serving him,

  386. making ever your.

  387. Personal savior, or make a strategic.

  388. Moon for your future spiritually, or a strategic moon for

  389. your future. Come on our strategic mood for your future.

  390. I'm gonna say that again, our strategic move for your future.

  391. Peter and Matthew, it is not Blessing Blood giving you

  392. that relation.

  393. Natural eye have not seen nor ear heard, neither.

  394. Hasn't entered into the hat of man the things that God.

  395. Has prepared for them.

  396. Matthew and Peter couldnt see much with a natural life.

  397. They could not hear it much with a natural ear.

  398. What can the son of a carpenter add to the life.

  399. A commercial fisher?

  400. What can the son of a carpenter, add to the

  401. life of a Roman Jewish tax collector. And only the

  402. spirit them reveal that what I said.

  403. Only the spirit can reveal that there are things that

  404. are spiritually his arned.

  405. You said, prea Church, I know I need to make

  406. this move, Preacher. I know I need to make this step,

  407. prea Church, I know I need to get out of here.

  408. That's the same thing Moses can say, there's time to

  409. get out of Egypt.

  410. How do you know what is seen where was palace

  411. is better?

  412. But it doesn't please me.

  413. To call Parros daughter Mama. I gotta go home with.

  414. My people, I said, I got go. Who are my people?

  415. I can hear it now, Matthew saying I've gotta go

  416. with my people. That ain't you, Daddy. That's Jesus of Nazareth.

  417. Can any good thing come out to Nazareth. I'm following

  418. my people. I'm going with my people. I'm going with

  419. my people. Peter Andrew Fishermen.

  420. Jesus come on to the beach, walking down the beach,

  421. not floor Shuns or steady Stacy Adams.

  422. Free free all these people and saying those and flip

  423. flops or perhaps bear feeding what's You're fascinated when they

  424. can feed anyway scares me. Scares me. That's deep. I've

  425. just messed a good message up, didn't I I can't

  426. resist sometimes, brother, chill. Crazy people preaching against flip flop sandals.

  427. Oh my god, in heaven they buy five hundred dollars

  428. joust the Murphy shoes and then picked on somebody that

  429. can only afford a ten dollar pair of sandals. If

  430. you locked that kind of preachs, they keep preaching, preaching

  431. otherwise we'll go to the house. But you know what, Matthew,

  432. there was something about that man. He rolled out of

  433. that high back chair and followed a man that could

  434. promise him nothing, sister Howell, and a man that wasn't

  435. going to promise him anything, a man that was going

  436. to see her. You willing to follow me, no matter

  437. the outcome. Are you willing to go with me, no

  438. matter the end result? You know what Peter and Andrew did.

  439. They abandon their commercial fishing business, James and Ziba, James

  440. and John, the sons of Zebity who were off their

  441. mending nets with her father. And when that man and

  442. sandals come down to the beach, and he told them

  443. follow me. You know what they said to Zebedee Dad,

  444. I don't understand it.

  445. I see with a natural eye of what you had

  446. to offer out here, with a natural ear, your runners

  447. and the oars banging the boats. I hear the flip

  448. park flopping on the I hear the fish flopping on

  449. the deck. I hear all of this.

  450. I hear the bars by the fish. Oh, come on,

  451. I hear the nets rattling on the deck. For this

  452. man that's walking by commissioning us.

  453. To follow him.

  454. I've been involved with his ministry a little bit. I've

  455. rubbed shoulders with him. You know, Andrew had been.

  456. Running with John the Baptist.

  457. Oh come on, now, there's just something about this man.

  458. John said, he's the lamb of God. John said, watch him.

  459. I spent a.

  460. Lot tide watching fish. I spent a lot time watching

  461. seeking nets. I spent a lifetime watching you loss nets.

  462. Then I'm telling you there's something about this commission. I said,

  463. there's something that about this calling Danna. I gotta get

  464. off this mota. Then I gotta follow.

  465. Off my God told me today.

  466. We have told that God when it doesn't make sense

  467. trying to row us.

  468. One day for six years. What's not practical? Oh come on,

  469. how do you go on? The mission field? Doesn't make sense.

  470. Going off street ministries doesn't make sense.

  471. Switching bouts doesn't make sense. Oh come on now, I

  472. just feel.

  473. Like the Holy goes prompted me to say this, sir,

  474. is this place good.

  475. For our family? He's this place good for our family?

  476. A church.

  477. These people can think about that. These people should think

  478. about that. It's the place where I'm dwelling.

  479. Good for my family. He's a good or for my son.

  480. He's a good for not the honor?

  481. Is it good?

  482. Come on, he's it good for day.

  483. He's a good from Gormam. He isn't good for grandpa.

  484. If you cannot say this house of worship is.

  485. Good to my children, oh and get us knock him

  486. for you?

  487. Anybody else?

  488. Were?

  489. No people were the real concerns. If Peter had and

  490. Apollo Jesus when his mother.

  491. In law was stricken with a fever and about to die,

  492. there would have been no Jesus to walk in and

  493. pray for his brother in law and her beaver recovered

  494. of her illness. I'm telling you the benefits, the benefits.

  495. What would you rather have? A burial or a blessing.

  496. You want to have a commercial fishing business, or you

  497. want to have a miracle worker walking alongside of here.

  498. You want to have a few things of this world,

  499. or you.

  500. Want to have the maker of the world walking alongside

  501. of you.

  502. Do you want to have a net full officies that.

  503. Are so full that they've begin to break, or have

  504. the one that could command the fish and tell them

  505. to get under that net and to wait there until

  506. that net descends upon them.

  507. Come on, now, I'm talking about to God that spoke

  508. to or heard a school.

  509. Officies and told them to get on the right side

  510. of the ship. Tell somebody living this feeling us okay

  511. to be a real person with a real toss horn.

  512. Make a real season.

  513. Can get all go and do what y'all told you

  514. to do?

  515. What's in it for me?

  516. So ask while the others say what can I do

  517. for him? Perhaps at this time Peter wasn't seeing the

  518. purpose or the immediate result of his decision and his

  519. choice when he asked him the question that's in our

  520. Golden text. But a little further down the road, he

  521. was assured of receiving heavenly rewards for his service, he

  522. was blood bombed born again. A little ways up the road,

  523. he understood why Jesus can't call him that day when

  524. he stood in the upper room full of the Holy

  525. Ghost and the powed God upon him, and this former

  526. fisherman is preaching, and two or three thousand people are

  527. getting saved.

  528. Oh, come on, hundreds of thousands are getting saint. Divide

  529. that holy ghost fielding. I want you to know, Peter,

  530. God's got.

  531. A neck that'speaker than your piece and neck.

  532. Oh come on that God tolds you you don't have

  533. to be a preacher. Oh they God, you don't have

  534. to be a preacher. That for felo her great commission.

  535. Sometimes God takes a money, is rough los her from

  536. one location to enough.

  537. God takes a prayramile on but one lotation.

  538. Just not serious about getting myself with the kingdom and

  539. moving to another.

  540. Heaven up.

  541. I'm telling you now, thro God.

  542. Will take care o the tries to let your moons

  543. that put you on a savandy dusty hole by a

  544. missing for the key.

  545. There's all fulfillment and pouring water on the hands of

  546. the Messiah. They're pulling up wet nets of zebedee asked

  547. John about that. I know John and James respect to

  548. their father, there's no doubt about it. But there was

  549. something about this man. Come here, brother Jesse. The Bible

  550. said that John the Beloved and Keith is eger right

  551. there by the bosom of Jesus. That's because every word

  552. Jesus uttered, he wanted to catch it, every word Jesus spoke,

  553. he wanted to hear it. He wanted to see everything

  554. Jesus done. Amongst the twelve disciples, there were three that

  555. always were closer than some. I need three men right

  556. now to come over here. I've got one already, two more,

  557. thank you for volunteering, brother Samuel, brother Nathaniel. And now

  558. I need nine more men to line up in front

  559. of them in front of this altar right here. Now,

  560. if you'll look, there's nine men that's in front of

  561. that altar. That represents nine of the disciples. Now all

  562. of them men are disciples of Jesus, and I will

  563. represent Jesus. I am, by no stretch of the imagination,

  564. anywhere close to our Savior. But for an illustration and

  565. a demonstration, we will do this. But there were twelve followers,

  566. and for some reason there were nine that always.

  567. Just kind of lagged behind just a little bit.

  568. And as you study the gospels, the Synoptic Gospels, which

  569. is Matthew Mark and Loop's Gospel, you will see they're

  570. very similar in writing style, very similar in incidences evidence,

  571. and just similar in their reportings. But one's gospel is

  572. a little bit different. I want y'all to know there's

  573. a reason for that. There was an intimacy with John

  574. concerning Jesus. There was an extra closeness at one particular time,

  575. brother staring to we find Judas's gone, Brother Joshua will

  576. move away. And there are eight disciples hanging out at

  577. the gate near town. They're late for church, and that

  578. they're late to do what God has commissioned them to do.

  579. It's time to go pray. But there's three Peter, James,

  580. and John that are close to Jesus. As Jesus moves,

  581. they seem to stay closer. But among those three there's

  582. one John that he just keeps getting closer. He keeps

  583. getting closer. If Jesus is now down to pray, there

  584. is no doubt John is within earshot. If Jesus is

  585. performing a miracle, John is right there within earshot, Hey,

  586. come on us, John the revelator.

  587. No Jesus was. But Jesus spoke.

  588. To John and gave him the revelation a revelation or

  589. what wasn't that?

  590. John said, he that happed here? Let him here of

  591. what the spirit tells me over Sometimes just because you're

  592. closer doesn't mean you're really hearing.

  593. Who is need to be said? Who want needs to

  594. be hard?

  595. Thank your brethren, Thank your brethren. Should I keep preaching?

  596. But brother John, Brother John, he leaned up on the

  597. bosom of Jesus. Hey, so what if they fought you

  598. for trying to get closer? So what if they fought

  599. you for trying to get answers to questions that you

  600. aren't getting answers to? So what if they follot you

  601. for being a real person with real concerns. No, ma'am,

  602. no sir, I am not gonna twelve in a halfway

  603. house spiritually, No, ma'am, no sir. When I was raising

  604. my children, I were careful. I was very careful where

  605. I took them to church, where I set them down

  606. upon the pew, I was real careful, very careful, had

  607. great concern as to who was preaching to them, who

  608. was praying for them, who was annoying them with all,

  609. who was praying the seemingly prayer of faith for them.

  610. I'm come. I don't want to hold you too long

  611. this morning. I want to get you out of here

  612. in a little wall. But do y'all hearing what the

  613. spirit of God has said unto the church. I appreciate

  614. you being a real person. I appreciate you having real concerns.

  615. But sometimes we need to take action and meeting me.

  616. I heard of a family at one time tarrying too long.

  617. They tarried too long until their teenage son fell in

  618. love with that closeted floozy girl that went to church.

  619. Right.

  620. They knew they needed to make a move before a

  621. spirit got their child. But what they didn't know they

  622. needed to make a move before the cause of efflusing

  623. got their child. Any time God's calling comes forth, there's

  624. blessings and benefits to gain. But there's also a reason

  625. for that. It is to shield you and to protect

  626. you from something tending, something forthcoming. Lot is an example.

  627. Fire and brimstone is about to fall out of heaven

  628. upon a certain geographic location judgment. Perhaps spiritually speaking, it

  629. could be strong delusion. They could begin to believe a

  630. line beat down, a spirit of confusion is about to

  631. come in. And so as Jesus went to tell Abraham, Abraham,

  632. I don't want to withhold from you what I'm about

  633. to do. And so I'm speaking to you about judgment

  634. concerning a certain group of people living in a certain

  635. city up the road, and I want you to pray

  636. for them. And no matter how hard Abraham prayed, and

  637. no matter how heart how hard he bargained, no matter

  638. the efforts he applied to that situation and put forth,

  639. he was unable to broker a deal between him and Heaven,

  640. and it could not be saved. I'm sorry to report

  641. to you that some churches cannot be salvaged. I'm sorry

  642. to report to you that some families cannot be salvage.

  643. The reason why they cannot be salvaged is not that

  644. the mercy of God is not new every morning. It's

  645. not that the abundant grace of God is not attainable

  646. and available. It is that they have no intention whatsoever

  647. in embracing the opportunity for restoration, renewal, and revival. Why

  648. would they, Because they don't even embrace the opportunity for repentance.

  649. If my people God acknowledges their identity and who they were,

  650. If my people, which are called by my name, will

  651. humble themself, and it's conditional, if they will turn from

  652. their wickedness, their wicked ways, their wickedness, then I will hear.

  653. Only then will I hear, And after I hear their

  654. prayer of repentance, after I see their sincerity and their humility,

  655. then I will heal their land. It's conditional. Well, I

  656. could sit right here. I've been right here for twenty

  657. five years. That's what that dear sweet sister told sister

  658. how when we went to talk to her, the spirit

  659. of God had moved on me to go speak to her.

  660. That was unusual, that was out of the ordinary for me.

  661. And I went and spoke to her, and I said,

  662. for some reason, God has saved to you. Come out

  663. from among them and be separate, saith, the Lord touch

  664. not the unclean thing, and then I will receive you.

  665. I said. The message is clear, you're not the unclean thing,

  666. and you're not of them. The message is clear, you

  667. are not of them, you are different. So come out

  668. from them. The apostle explaining the situation concerning some that

  669. left the church. He said they went out from us

  670. because they were not of us. On the flip side

  671. of that, that's exactly right. That's what God is telling

  672. the children of Israel. You come out of Egypt, you're

  673. not of him, the same way the sinner comes out

  674. of the world. He should not be of that spirit.

  675. The same way people say, I've got to find a

  676. new pastor, a new church, a new family, a new organization.

  677. The Baptist Movement's not cutting it for me. I gotta

  678. be Pentecostal. I've got to believe in sanctification. That's for me.

  679. I've got to hold a hole in a standard. I'm

  680. being called out. And you know what, when people are

  681. in pursuit of a higher calling and sanctification and truth

  682. and righteousness, you know what they're saying. They're saying they

  683. were not of us. They believed in talking in tongues,

  684. they believed in a hole in a standard. Inwardly and outwardly,

  685. they were not of us. But I want you to

  686. know the world has a statement and expression that goes

  687. like this, if you run with the dogs, you'll get

  688. the fleas. And that dear sister, after some time, Brother

  689. starre it. On a Sunday afternoon, Sister how and I

  690. went into a Captain Dees. We never went into that

  691. business establishment. We never went to that place of business

  692. on a Sunday afternoon, but that particular Sunday, I felt

  693. like I was on a mission. We went in there

  694. and sat down and ordered that old greasy fish, all

  695. the greasy crispy stuff, Coach Law, flush puppies. I'm sorry people,

  696. we lost our old John Silvers. We used to have

  697. one of the bell We didn't support it. I wish

  698. we had. We'd all beating there right now at the church.

  699. But you know what, I looked over there, and I said, Sister.

  700. Howell, oh me, oh my, there she is no longer

  701. resembling a holiness woman.

  702. I'm talking about. She lost out with God when she

  703. was in her eighties. After all of them years, Sister

  704. Wooton a standing up and testifying in the Pirate God,

  705. all that God, all of them years of her testimony,

  706. is preaking my heart and challenging me to be like her,

  707. all of them years of pouring into us young ones,

  708. that holiness is right, separation from the world is right,

  709. and there's a difference in the genuine and the counterfeit.

  710. She would say.

  711. I looked she was still in the same church.

  712. She was still declining molty and faithfulness and commitment.

  713. That's one of the first members.

  714. I've been here for so long.

  715. How could I leave it? How could I bend it?

  716. Because in staying there you lose Jesus.

  717. If I gave the.

  718. Whole world and lose my own sorrows, Matthew somehow me

  719. that day.

  720. If I don't follow Jesus.

  721. I'll never be the one to open the bed in

  722. the New Testament with the rig word.

  723. I'd never been the one that opened the mail.

  724. To the New Covenant through the ric word. God, you

  725. realized Matthew's gospel. He's the first.

  726. Book of the New Testament for the New Covenant, aren't

  727. you gladly?

  728. Oh? Thank God? Don't you know that God got some

  729. plans for you?

  730. Don't you know that beautiful plans, not too perfect? Your

  731. future apostle upon you. God has plans for me. And

  732. his testimony always included this statement, I was obedient to the.

  733. Heaven and cold.

  734. And when I was on that road to Damascus, when

  735. that light.

  736. Rather than the new day sun up here another there

  737. and the loss of eye. Lad came out of the

  738. corners of Dorning. I was obedient.

  739. When he's that soft soul.

  740. Light persecutors down me. It's hard to kick against the pricks.

  741. I was obedient.

  742. I got off my high horse.

  743. I ended up in that dusky, ended up blinding.

  744. Handed up in the man of God's house.

  745. I ended up passed up for three days and three nights.

  746. But when you got done with me, things were better.

  747. All things have passed away, the old, the whole things

  748. have we come near.

  749. I'll tell us somebody right now, right now, in the.

  750. Name of Jesus, up the new and spirits her. He's

  751. gonna be better than the old. Peter, Matthew, James, John Paul.

  752. Let us not be weary, and we'll do it for

  753. indue season. We shall reap if we faint. Not what's

  754. in it for me? Somebody might have asked real people

  755. with real concerns. I appreciate that, don't you. I appreciate that,

  756. brother Nathaniel. But as it is written, I had not

  757. seen nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the

  758. heart of man the things which God had prepared for

  759. those that love him. You know why they're not seeing it.

  760. You know why they're not hearing it. You know why

  761. they're not feeling it, not only because it's spiritual, but

  762. because they don't love him like you love him. You

  763. love him unconditionally, no matter the end result, no matter

  764. the outcome, I will go with Jesus. A verse of

  765. people often overlooked. This was brought to mind in prayer

  766. as the following verse Verse Corinthians two and ten. They said,

  767. but God hath revealed them unto us by his spirit.

  768. So why are you feeling what you're feeling? Why are

  769. you feeling the need to change? Why are you feeling

  770. the need to take action? Why are you feeling the

  771. need to make a move? Why did Moses and the

  772. children of Issual suddenly after four hundred and some years

  773. feel the need to make a move. Why do you

  774. feel the need for a career change. Why do you

  775. feel the need for a geographic location? Said? Why do

  776. you feel the need to do something more? Does this

  777. make it soon?

  778. Well?

  779. Can't I serve God right where I'm at? Be an example?

  780. Right where I'm at? Maybe maybe not, but I know

  781. there's a reason for it. Why you have been called

  782. and I know there's a reason for why you have

  783. been chosen, and I believe for as much as you're

  784. going to receive a benefit and a reward, also, it's

  785. for your protection. It's for your verying life. Run to

  786. the mountain because it's for your life. Don't run to

  787. the mountain physically or naturally, run to the mountain spiritually.

  788. You want to be in a place where you can

  789. get in them high places in Christ Jesus, Brother rope Cap,

  790. that must be the experience of Matthew. That must be

  791. the experience of Paul. That must be the experience of Peter.

  792. But God has revealed them unto us by his spirit.

  793. That must be the experience of Jeremy and Charity. Go

  794. to Label, Florida eighteen years ago. That must be the experience.

  795. So Justin and Cathy rope Cap go to Lo bel

  796. Florida eight years ago. That must be the experience. It's

  797. just the Irish woot. And hey, that preacher you just

  798. heard preaching on the street, Go inquire and find out

  799. who he's at and go to church there. On that

  800. day when the Lord appeared to Matthew, the creator of

  801. the world is before him, and the Creator is transformed

  802. as a mortal being, and Matthew's natural eyes are on

  803. this man. His natural ears are tuned into this man.

  804. But he learned something more about this man than what

  805. eyes could see or what ears could hear. His soul's eyes,

  806. his soul's ears heard what the spirit said unto him,

  807. and Matthew embraced this opportunity before him. He understood that

  808. the situation would lead him into deeper things of God.

  809. I'll never forget that night descending. Neely stood up. It's

  810. been about two and a half months ago, and she said,

  811. since I've been here. At that time, it had been

  812. about six months. She said, since I've been here, I'm

  813. amazed at how much I've grown. That's not saying anything

  814. about the ministry of Jeremy, how old I've already said

  815. it a little while ago. I'm a worm, I'm ana flee,

  816. I'm nothing, just a vessel in the hand of the Master.

  817. But it says a lot about the ministry of the

  818. Holy Ghost operating in this building, including the way the

  819. Holy Ghost is using the Word of God this morning

  820. to speak to people. That Paul said, I was obedient

  821. to the heaven and called him immediately. At that point,

  822. I no longer pushed it away. I no longer kicked

  823. against the prince.

  824. I took action the same thing with Matthew when he

  825. jumped up out of that tax collector seat and he

  826. fallowed Jesus, are.

  827. Y'all with pastor right now, Abelity feeling I'm preaching just

  828. a little bit longer.

  829. Matthew's obedience of embracing truth and the will and the

  830. command of God led him into deeper things of God,

  831. including giving us the gospel that I'm preaching out of

  832. disappointing all the ministry of Matthew.

  833. Without obedience to the commission and.

  834. The will of God, you will have no purpose, and

  835. you will have no identity, and you will have no mission.

  836. All the ministry of Matthew. He would have disappeared off

  837. the pages of.

  838. Roman history, but he has not disappeared from the pages

  839. of the Bible.

  840. I'm telling you, if you stay out there in this

  841. word center cred, you'll be a die of a dozen,

  842. just one of the masters. You went without an identity.

  843. Oh come on now.

  844. But if you are identified as a child of God,

  845. you can say He daily loadeth me with benefits.

  846. I have equal shares of heaven.

  847. With Jesus joint ownership forever.

  848. Heaven.

  849. Heaven.

  850. Heaven won't always be a dream. Someday it'll be a reality.

  851. As a writer, Matthew opened the door of the New

  852. Testament and a new covenant. In the Old Testament. He

  853. had read of Christophanes brief appearances of Jesus appear into

  854. Old Testament biblical characters. But sister, how when he minded

  855. the spirit Jesus Christ that day the Lord called him,

  856. he no longer had to think about the Spirit of

  857. God moving on prophets, judges, and objects. He realized that

  858. this what I'm talking to may have moved upon Samson

  859. and calls him to carry away great gains of the Philistines. Amen,

  860. you felt it, brother, would Matthew understood a lot about scripture.

  861. He knew that the spirit of God had moved on

  862. Elijah and fire had fallen out of heaven. He knew

  863. that the spirit of God had moved upon Jeremiah and

  864. put the word of God in Jeremiah's heart till his

  865. heart burned like fire with the words of God. But

  866. now he understands the Living Word is standing right here

  867. in front of me. Opportunity is here. I'm not gonna

  868. let it pass me by. But what he realizes is

  869. the closing of the Old Testament when he moved on

  870. you is the opening of the New Testament when he

  871. lived in side. I'm no longer thrilled by the appearance

  872. of the Christophanies as the local brothers. Now I'm thrilled

  873. by the fact that he lives. He lives. Christ Jesus

  874. lives today. He walks with me, and he talks with

  875. me a long life's narrow way. He lives. He lives.

  876. Salvation two in part. You ask me why I know

  877. he lives, Because he lives. He lives in my work.

  878. Let's stand, friend, right now, in this moment, Jesus is

  879. standing before you and presented you with a decision. Later on, Matthew, Peter, James,

  880. and John could say that the Holy Ghost lived inside

  881. of them. Friend, that you ask what's in it for me?

  882. What shall we have? Therefore, they had forsaken all to

  883. follow Jesus. Sister Howell, Matthew, Peter, Andrew, James and John

  884. and Paul had given up a lot in order to

  885. follow Jesus. The sacrifice was great. Truthfully, to be honest,

  886. not everyone has given up things of great value to

  887. follow Jesus. Some, when he came to them, they had nothing.

  888. Some were at the end of their rope, Some were

  889. begging bread. Some had no houses, Some had no commercial

  890. fishing boats or businesses. Some were totally beaten, broken and battered.

  891. And he came to them. And I'm glad he did.

  892. But the truth is, a wise man such as Peter

  893. was being a real person with a real concern when

  894. he said, what shall we have there? For? Will we

  895. be compensated? Since to how I was reminded of your

  896. words about a year ago. You said to some people

  897. that had made an all inclusive sacrifice of a decision,

  898. who was struggling because of sin, whether or not they

  899. were in the will of God, you said, have you

  900. not been compensated? I will never forget for as long

  901. as I live. That night, our first lady stood right

  902. here at the end of the piano, and she said,

  903. has he not compensated you? Has he not been better

  904. to you than you've been to him? Has he not

  905. given you more than you deserve? I don't know about y'all.

  906. I don't deserve anything I deserve. Hell, I serve him

  907. just because I love him. I choose to obey him

  908. because I love him and pleasing him is what matters.

  909. There's many brother Rouat, though their sacrifices have been few

  910. and minimal, while Paul and Peters were great and large.

  911. It's easier said than done. My example, in closing, as

  912. the rich young ruler, well beloved, well favored, great delight,

  913. greatly rich, extremely wealthy, a wonderful personality. He came to

  914. Jesus and could have been a thirteenth disciple brother Royd.

  915. Jesus gave him a call of beautiful commission. Give everything

  916. that you have, big boy, right, everything you have, big boy,

  917. and followed me trading him for a shining for some sandels,

  918. trading that royal steady out there for a donkey, trade

  919. that Cadillac for something cheap and good on gas. To

  920. put it in today's terms. And you know what the

  921. Bible said, That rich young ruler went away sorrowfully. I

  922. want you to know he may have regretted his decision

  923. the moment he turned his back on that opportunity. But

  924. sister Howe, I have a feeling he lost everything anyway.

  925. I have a feeling he was haunted in his mind

  926. for the rest of his life, his story, and say

  927. that Pileod lived the rest of his life haunted by

  928. the thought of the blood of Jesus being on his hands.

  929. They said he could be seen at times standing in

  930. the corner of a palace somewhere and rubbing his hands

  931. and going to wash basins. And they say they could

  932. be heard uttering, I had nothing to do with it.

  933. I had nothing to do with it. I had nothing

  934. to do with it. I made that clear. Yes, he

  935. did have something to do with it. And you have

  936. something to do with this decision. It's a personal calling.

  937. It's a personal decision. And you better look around and

  938. see your family, them children, them grandchildren. Oh, come on now,

  939. it doesn't matter if the sacrifices are great or minimal.

  940. To be clear, seemingly, on the surface, there were no rewards.

  941. A decision to be with Jesus did not offer much

  942. with sister Howell, Oh, what was below the surface.

  943. In him as.

  944. Fullness of life in him, His abundant life in him

  945. is great joy in him is incomprehensible peace. And what

  946. I want to point out we are missing seven to

  947. ten this morning. There's still seventy two. Though I'm glad

  948. to be part of the family of God. I want

  949. you to look around right now and look and see

  950. the beautiful family, Brother Jesse, what was more commonly for

  951. Matthew to behold Peter outspoken, vocal Peter or Roman governor.

  952. It's a beautiful place where the spirit of God moves,

  953. or where the spirit of God works, where the Spirit

  954. of God blesses. It's a board of a beautiful thing.

  955. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people. Matthew gained Christ, yes,

  956. but he also benefited by having a friend in Peter.

  957. Having a friend in Peter was better than a filp,

  958. the Roman pig being your friend. Sisters, sometime today look

  959. at Sister Howell and realize having her for a friend

  960. is a blessing. When you all were praying for Sister

  961. how and I earlier in the service, while the Holy

  962. Ghost was moving, my friend, brother Chip Boy got up

  963. on the platform and was looking at me and praying

  964. for me. That's not his custom. His custom is to

  965. stand back there, pray, stay in his place, and must

  966. called on God's vote to me and said, your friend

  967. loves you, and your friend is concerned about you and

  968. your wife. That's why he's standing there where he can

  969. see you, and he wants to get to you because

  970. he cares and he's concerned. And as sure as I live,

  971. the God of Heaven, Brother Chip, you remember this. He

  972. spoke to me and he said that man right there

  973. loves you for who you are, not for what you

  974. got right and God said, have Chip pray for you

  975. and your wife. And at a respect, he didn't want

  976. to touch my wife. He had his hands about eight

  977. inches over her head praying for it. He put his

  978. hand on my head. I repositioned it, gets your hand

  979. on my head, and couple of brothers y. He had

  980. his hand about six eight inches over my wife's head.

  981. I took his hand and said, pray for you. Put

  982. your hand on her head. It's proper. It's appropriate to

  983. your preacher, and pray for my wife because the Bible

  984. said a friend loveth at all times, and a brother

  985. is born for adversity. And I'll tell you the truth.

  986. I felt the holyst in a great play the same

  987. way I felt when he was preaching that night, a

  988. topic most will not address. And if you have not

  989. recognized that God is moving right now, I'm glad I

  990. traded drama and trouble for a house of friends. I'm

  991. glad I traded a house and a life of termil

  992. and perplexities for a house of peace and joy and rest.

  993. Somebody said, can it get any better for me? I

  994. want brother Jesse and Brother Nathaniel to come around and

  995. saying it just don't believe any better than us. Somebody

  996. said it's too good to be true. No it's not.

  997. I want you to know it's been sweet around here,

  998. brother Samuel. But i' I was praying concerning this morning's message,

  999. and God spoke to me, and he said it's gonna

1000. get sweeter. And here's what he said. Some will partake,

1001. and some will know how sweet it is, and others

1002. will not ever know just how sweet it was. Just

1003. when we thoughts as to how the rewards for the

1004. sacrifices could be any better, God daily loads us for

1005. more benefits. We find out yesterday I don't have another

1006. grand baby. Sister Tracy finds out this morning early she's

1007. gonna be and Nanna again. Daily, Come here, Ran of God.

1008. Did you not say this before? I preach I don't

1009. serve him for the benefits, But you said there are benefits? Right?

1010. Go sing? What the day it says to be like

1011. you can hear from God. I want us to just

1012. gather up here if you want to kneel, and you

1013. can kneel, I'm telling you. Matthew, Peter, James and John

1014. would say, right now, it doesn't get any better than this, Amen,

1015. it just don't get any better than this.

1016. And Jesus answered and sending to him blessed heart, now

1017. Simon BArch olding you refresh and blood hath.

1018. Not revealed unto evil my father.

1019. So this is in heaven. It's God that works in

1020. you both to will had to know if his good.

  1021. Pleas your child.

1022. It's God calling you to move up higher. It's God

1023. calling you and his equal things in God.

  1024. It's God doing this.

1025. It's gonna get better, just gonna get let God. Don't

1026. God even me all yet.

1027. They arose and follow Jesus in the name and some

1028. course right now there's no.

  1029. You know, shut up.

1030. You shot times to the same song says hold to

1031. the man, don't cody ways shut He's sern happy day.

  1037. Need more time.

  1038. Was a wait, I see him.

1039. And no tat no talk.

1040. With him A happy host.

  1048. Don't care.

  1049. That's not everything.

1050. It's just so see many shot just where.

1051. You just a myself him anything last God.

  1052. That is.

  1053. You got to sos.

  1054. I want to you.

  1055. Don't stop shop, stop.

  1057. Lets John, don't.

1058. Sus swoop out cold see it.

1059. I can't go on well no f but then oh

1061. touched on't any man of this.
