I want to preach a message the Holy Ghost title
-
a simple solution with it all looking observing good God,
-
a good Lord, of good words, and of a good book.
-
Brother Nathaniel read again Second Timothy chapter number four, verse
-
number two. Brother Jesse's Second Timothy, Chapter number three, Verses
-
number fifteen through seventeen. How many of you are thankful
-
that you belong to not only a Pentecostal church, but
-
a sanctified separated church. I'm thankful for these beautiful people
-
that are here this morning, they tell me, around seventy
-
five plus here. Thank God for all of you. I'm
-
thankful for those that are out today being part of
-
our church family. We miss them, though, pray for them
-
in a special way. I'm going to endeavor to obey
-
God this morning, and I want the Bethel Holness Church
-
to know something. I love you, dearly, and I will
-
fight for you and defend you spiritually until I've drawn
-
my last breath. But I want you to know there's
-
some people in this building today, only a few in number,
-
that have not decided on fully following the Lord and
-
thus this message. But I want you to make a
-
mental note of this and hold on to this in
-
the days ahead, You're gonna need to hold onto this
-
when things don't make sense, God gave them a simple solution.
-
I want to preach a message titled a simple solution.
-
It's not that the word of God had not went forth.
-
It's not that people didn't come and go having heard
-
the good words of the good Lord. But Timothy heard
-
Paul speak to him concern and false teachers, and concerning
-
bad words that would corrupt and contaminate the hearts of
-
so called Christians. And I believe we're not above any
-
of the early Church believers. And I believe there's two
-
or three amongst this wonderful holiness group of people that
-
need to hear what the Spirit of God said today,
-
because you're having a problem with listening to good words
-
from a good book of a good Lord, through the
-
mouth of a good man, brother Nathaniel Sewod Timothy, chapter
-
number four, verse number two. Listen to the good words
-
of a good man, Preach the word, be instant in season,
-
out of season, reprove, review, exhort with all long suffering
-
and doctrine. I think Bethel was familiar with this. Praise
-
the Lord. Those were good words from a good man,
-
to a good young man, brother Jesse, Second Timothy, chapter
-
number three, verses number fifteen through seventeen, and.
-
That from a child now has known the holy scriptures,
-
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith,
-
which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by
-
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
-
for correction, for instruction in righteousness, save that the Man
-
of God may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
-
Amen. This Sunday Morning's message might be a continuation of
-
last Sunday Morning's message. I will say that God has
-
blessed us in him speaking to us a little while ago.
-
Thank your sister Heal for obeying the Lord. Praise God again.
-
Looking at our texts minded two and seven, O, thou
-
that are named the house of Jacob. Is the spirit
-
of the Lord straighten or shortened? Are these his doings?
-
Not my words? Do good to him that walketh up rightly.
-
A little while ago we had tongues of interpretation concerning
-
maybe two or three in this building of seventy five
-
that might not be walking of Brightley. I want to
-
preach a message the Holy Ghost title a simple solution,
-
and I feel liberty to preach praise the Lord. Our
-
textas found in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible.
-
The title bears the name of its author. This Man
-
of God was a prophet from a city called Moorschith Gath,
-
a neighboring town to the hometown of the Philistine champion
-
Goliath of Gath. This lets me know, sister Wootin, that
-
this Man of God somewhat was rubbing shoulders with people
-
that were not a wholesome of heart and spirit. Says
-
to how there's no doubt that there.
-
Was an infla from time to time of people that
-
would come in and begin to scatter contaminated seed in
-
this particular hometown of this great prophet of God.
-
How many of you know the Bibles said that evil
-
communications corrupt good manners. Seems to me like a lot
-
of Christians today, even some in this building have no
-
problem whatsoever at all with communicating with unbelievers when the
-
Lord's Word, the Good Book, the Good Word of the
-
Good Lord, told us to be very careful and ever
-
so cautious in our communications. I believe that there's people
-
in this building today that have been having unwholesome conversations
-
and communications that have not been advantageous for their overall
-
spiritual wellbeing. Sister Janet, he'll having to obey the Lord.
-
Sister Wooton and Brother Nathaniel too, are very familiar with
-
the Holy Ghost overpowering them and them giving forth a
-
message that comes from a good Lord. And sometimes that
-
message is troubling to the unbeliever or to the disobedient believer,
-
if there can be such a thing. Other times, the
-
words that come forth, by the power of the good
-
Holy Ghost, they are most comforting to those that are
-
doing good. You will remember concerning the first recorded worship
-
service in the Bible, when Cain and Abel were in
-
attendance before the Lord offering sacrifice. God looked among these
-
natural fleshly brethren, and he said, one of them is
-
offering a sacrifice of blood, and I will receive that
-
while this other offering over here. Now, I won't touch it.
-
I want so much as look at it. In fact,
-
the fragrance coming from that sacrifice is repulsa. It's a
-
stitch in my nostrils. Isn't it amazing to think that,
-
even right here among seventy five to eighty five people
-
in our services. Sometimes the Lord can look ever so
-
fondly at one sacrifice and then turn his head and
-
look at the sacrifice of another that claims to be
-
a brother and sister in the Lord spiritually, and God
-
say no, that does not please me. I'd rather turn
-
it over here and look at this sacrifice that is
-
pleasing to me. Micah too could say concerning his people,
-
that there was something they were doing that was turning
-
the stomach of God. You'll remember it later on in
-
the Good Book. You'll find in this blessed writing a
-
revelation that there was concerning some say something said that
-
God did not like their spiritual lukewarm condition. He found
-
it repulsive. And the result of their loowarm condition, after
-
he consumed it and tasted of it, was that it
-
was not good, and he spewed it out of his mouth.
-
And so Micah, being a prophet or a preacher, when
-
proclaiming the truth the good word of the Lord among
-
these people, realized in his preaching that not everybody pleased
-
the Lord, and the reason for this was not everybody
-
desired to please the Lord. I want to say it again,
-
if aca are in se Kamala Harris was the keynote speaker,
-
most people in that building would be disappointed at the
-
words that would proceed out of her mouth, and they
-
would leave that convention not saying she spoke good words.
-
But if Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at the
-
next Republican National Conviction, just about everybody that walked through
-
those doors on the way home, they would say, wasn't
-
that a good speech? Weren't those good words? Were? The
-
American people and members of the Democratic National Conviction could
-
be standing nearby and say absolutely not. Those were not palatable.
-
Those words were hard words. Those sayings were things that
-
we did not at all want to hear. There's people,
-
perhaps in this building, and maybe even people tuned in,
-
that do not like the words of Whether Nathaniel Howell
-
when he preaches on redemption for the ransom. Perhaps there's
-
something in this building of sudden listening that did not
-
like the words of Whether Justin rodecap and when he
-
talked about a requirement of inward purity and holiness and
-
separation from the world. You see, the relationship between the
-
audience and the speaker has everything to do with the
-
determination of whether or not the words of the speaker
-
are good words or bad words. And so we know
-
through the Blessed Book to Micah, this prophet of this
-
hometown more share of Gata. He wasn't anointed of God.
-
The brother nathanielis. I read through this book in the
-
early morning hours this morning. I noticed that most people,
-
especially the rich, of those that were increased the goods,
-
those that were in need of nothing, they despised the
-
words of the prophet. I don't know about you all.
-
I served as pastor here, but every time I come
-
to God's house, every good word that proceeds out of
-
the mouth of these blessed saints, our teachers, and our
-
preachers are blessings to my soul, the good word of
-
the lad of spiritual manner for my spiritual man. You
-
see that the Miaco appears to be disgusted because of
-
the ill treatment of the least, the lost, and the lonely.
-
I remember preaching in recent weeks about the prophet Amos.
-
I want our preachers to remember this. It seems to
-
me like these matter prophets, we're always busy preaching in
-
their hotel to those that were down cast, disquieted, and disheartened.
-
It sounds to me like even the Old Testament prophets
-
had outreach ministries. You will see that this man, Michael,
-
like Amus, was one that was upset about the way
-
the rich and the famous were treating her the people
-
of God or his brothers and sister's fellow is Relfe.
-
And in this short writing by the Caleb, I sitch
-
the burning of a soul, and he liked you. Amiah
-
could say, but the good words for the Good Lord
-
were in my heart like a burning fire shut up
-
in my bosom, and I was weary with for Mary
-
her and I could not stay. I want you to know,
-
no matter whether or not these words would be received
-
gladly or sorrowfully by the hearers, they were still good words.
-
I said, These were still good words. That's what Apostle
-
paulton Timothy, There's gonna come a time when us bishop
-
or pastor had to set aside the sermon, and you
-
have to take the spiritual head on before your preacher,
-
before you go clean the gospel. You need to lay
-
a foundation my repentance. Come on, I'm telling somebody in
-
this fielding the day you're looking for another word from
-
another speaker, you're looking for something else other than what's
-
her getting. And I want you to know that God
-
had put Michael in Marshak of Gotham for a reason
-
for the same reason, and put Amos in his hometown
-
for the same reason, being nature. Maia and I say
-
to the prophets that they were because there are people
-
needing to hear of the word of the Lord. Oh,
-
come on, now, nobody needed to hear an illustration out
-
of a five hundred illustration sermon book. Oh, come on,
-
somebody not needing to here. Let us say it God,
-
I say it again. Somebody did not need to hear
-
a fictional illustration. Take it out over five hundred illustration
-
sermon book. Oh, somebody needed to hear for the word
-
of God. This man of God felt that his people
-
had an interest in hearing from the Lord and says
-
to how I believe that about any of them here
-
have a strong interest in hearing from the Lord. Some
-
of them drive over an hour to be here and
-
to hear from the Lord. Some of them welcome all
-
or two to be here and hear from the Lord.
-
I could take it to Ukraine and take it to
-
a certain city in Ukraine, and show you some people
-
sisters who lack mode of transportation, and they will walk
-
to in a half hours to the House of God
-
to hear the voice of the Lord. Is God himself
-
speaking in hout of the manner of fashion known. God
-
is speaking to their hearts and their minds and their
-
their spirits through the word of God, through his oracle,
-
and through the expressions of the brother and sisters faces,
-
through the sacrifices of the brothers and sisters of the building,
-
and through the lost housd and the life expirences of
-
their brothers and sisters. What I'm saying is they draw
-
strength to the cooling word. They draw street from the
-
good Lord, and they draw street from good men and
-
good women. They would walk to in a half hours
-
to a pub.
-
They come on.
-
I see made of year old women in Ukraine walcome
-
to I. Oh yes, the needs hurt, Oh yes, the
-
feet hurt. And you know what, they still want to
-
go somewhere where they can hear from God. I thank
-
God this morning that we have heard the good words
-
of the Lord. Bro Jesse. There's no doubt there were
-
people like these precious sisters and brothers in this building
-
today that were thanking God for Micah the same way
-
Sister who says she was thinking God that Saturday afternoon
-
once she heard that Central Florida person down here in
-
the south preaching the gospel, and she said, could it
-
be that the word of the Lord is yet going
-
forth in the streets of La bell Again? Could it be?
-
Could it be? And she said, yes, it is soul.
-
You've got saints like Sister Howell, Sister he O, Sister Vicki,
-
Sister Walker By, the brother Rogue caps is, the rope camp,
-
Brother Jesse, Brother Nathaniel, people like that other's brother and
-
sister Edward's. Too many in the name that have made
-
all inclusive, shack of process and sold out lock stock
-
and barrel in order to come a hero. What the saith? God?
-
Or come now? I am not being critical of every
-
preacher's preaching the gospel. I'm in their corner to really
-
preaching the whole council of God. But Brother gave Rael.
-
It is not that the world latsa be eliza what
-
religious worship services are being conducted. It is not that
-
the world latsa speakers or preachers. It is that they
-
like hearing the words of truth, and can I tell
-
you whether they push us up to repentance or push
-
us to the blessing. They are good words. I'm telling
-
you this profitable for Rebuka, as we saw a little
-
while ago, a good word. Did you hear it? My
-
pastor loved me enough to eat me. It's okay to
-
say that, act to chant, but did you enough calling
-
enough to change? I tell us us to post so Lucien,
-
all you gonna do is me us in what God's
-
saying enough pay attention to it. Here this man of
-
God felt his people had an interest in hearing from
-
the Lord. Do you know why I feel the burden
-
to preach? It's because there's always one or two that
-
are interested in hearing from God. When we first started
-
down here eighteen years ago, there was four, sometimes five
-
people in the building besides my family, that wanted to
-
hear from God. Listen, you hear today because you want
-
to hear from God. You're here h E R E
-
to because you want to h E A R from God.
-
You don't want to hear of the expluence of doctor
-
Charles furtuon of doctor johnsy Lake. I appreciate both of
-
them men. They are spiritual heroes in my book, but
-
very seldom do I mention them or their rights, because
-
it's all about the.
-
Good Lord and his good words.
-
You see, the words of doctor Charleston Spurniton and doctor
-
chouny Lake could fail me, but his words will never
-
tell me and back the words of the Deeple they
-
are the same, yesterday, today and forever. What my career life?
-
What's that? Israel Lips would rather not hear him speak
-
the words of truth? Listen Freenda until Jesus comes back.
-
The words of truth will all raise me good words.
-
I said, The words ill truth will all raise be
-
pound to be good words by the believers, Brother Thomas Daid.
-
As I read the writings of Micah, I can see
-
that he realizes these people that name the name of God,
-
they are backsliding as we speak, and some of them
-
are already backslidden. They have backed up from keeping the
-
word of God. They have come along ways from hiding
-
his word in their hearts that they might not sin
-
against him. Brother Jesse, they willfully choose to follow their
-
own judgment instead of the revealed word of God. I
-
want to say that again, they chose to follow their
-
own judgment. Instead of their revealed the word of God.
-
And this is no strange thing to us. It's no
-
strange thing to the apostle Paul, it's no strange thing.
-
The Betther Nathaniel, it's no strange thing to Betther Aaron
-
Wood and the Marble said they would have heat to
-
themselves teachers having itchineers. They simply did not want to
-
hear what Micah had heard God say.
-
In his heart.
-
Or you interested at all in hearing that your solution
-
is simple? Are you interested at all in knowing that
-
you're in God's revealed will? I mean, look at it
-
a mere morna been. It's saying it's in missist all.
-
I have to let it out. If God tells you
-
to leave Lord of God, I said. In fact, they
-
what God said through his oracle, through a senator, It's
-
okay to leave Lord of God. Sister Howell, when she
-
hears from God, she says, those are good words. Ever
-
since she developed good ears for hearing his voice, ever
-
since she became a member of a good audience. There
-
was a time in our marriage when she did not
-
understand holiness. There was a time in our marriage when
-
she did not approve of the mythology of holiness preachers.
-
They were a whole lot more brutal thirty years ago
-
than I could ever be. They would call women that
-
appeared to be of the spirit of this world Josephel's
-
men of yesteryear in my lifetime thirty to forty years
-
ago would call them who r straight from the pulpit.
-
How mean they saw it, and they called it out.
-
If you was promote me, look like you belonged to
-
the world, they would call you a worldly of the
-
spirit of this world. But this generation has got so
-
familiar with hearing something else besides the Bible being preats,
-
they are easily offended. But turning up fifty years ago,
-
we would have told you better haski and a tougher
-
than alligator hide, because sometimes when John the Baptist comes
-
into the building there hurt to the wildernessa. The message
-
to be given is one of repentance. That's what John
-
the Baptists told people that were expecting their messiah. Repent.
-
Jesus wants to come to your life. Because Louson is
-
simple repair men like Judas and those of similar persuasion,
-
they would have been born to hear John say he's
-
ascending to the throne of David. Over there in Jerusalem.
-
He's gonna rebuild the temple. Men like Judas wanted to
-
hear different words. And so when they bound John the Baptist,
-
Jesus' cousin in the wilderness, being a voice of truth,
-
he's preaching like a trumpet being sounded. They could hear
-
that loud voice. And he's announcing the coming of the king.
-
And you know what he says, repent. He said repent
-
before it comes amongst his own repent, before he preaches
-
among his own repent Brother Jesse, Why is it in
-
our holiness churches we seldom here a good word of
-
repentance anymore? Why is that, brother Thomas Stantra, When the
-
entire Bible is laced, when messages of repentance from the
-
Old Testament preachers to the New Testament preachers, and jowing
-
in between the greatest of them all, the number one
-
message is Repentan go out there on the street corner
-
and tell him that gold dust is gonna fall out
-
of the sky, and you'll throw every tom, Nick and
-
Harry this city knows. You'll draw every drug added to
-
every promiscuous person, every alcoholic, got run around with baskets.
-
Want to catch up? Oh, come on, gold dust, they're
-
tied us from heaven. But preach repentance. They don't do nothing.
-
Need good words. I want to tell somebody your solution
-
is simple. Repeat, repeat, repeat. But sister one, you'll remember
-
in the days of the duches had to Pastor Moses
-
and Pastor Joshua had died. Every man done that which
-
was right in his own eyes. Well, I'm pastor this
-
group of people. I'm too scared to preach the truth.
-
I'm too scared. I've got too much wind than to
-
speak the word of God. Because the word of God
-
is going to be offensive. Let me be plain for
-
some that have not gathered what I'm saying today and
-
held a hold to it. Let me be very plain
-
right here. It depends on who the audience is, and
-
it depends on the spirit that they are of. You
-
can preach against certain things creeping in the holiness movement,
-
and after you get done preaching, some will meet you
-
at the sacred desk and they will say good preaching.
-
Others will say, I ain't heard that in a long time.
-
That's good preaching. But those that are secretly ushering in
-
sin and those that are bringing in things, they're gonna
-
be the person to go out to the door, and
-
they're gonna be the person to make the phone calls
-
and say, listen to this clip of what he's preaching.
-
What are you so scared about? I said, like to
-
Kentucky boy, what are you so scared about? How are
-
you scared of the world word of God? Because it
-
is powerful. He is sharper than any two wrenched sword.
-
We don't discern between the talks and intense hour the heart,
-
the word of God will get down to the I said,
-
no word of God real cut.
-
To the ball.
-
This is a pastoral type message today because I sense
-
parishioners across the globe in jeopardy, just as these people
-
of God were in jeopardy. Marca's not preaching over the
-
fence to the Philistines. Marca's not preaching over there to
-
the Malakos. He's not preaching to the Amorites, He's not
-
preaching to the high Bytes, He's not preaching to the Hittites.
-
He said, I'm preaching to the people the name, the
-
name of the Lord. You know what it is to
-
offer pure sacrifice. You know what it is to attend
-
the ceremonial worship. Sir, you know what it is, but
-
you're following your own judgment. Every man's doing that which
-
is right in his own eyes. Listen, a it's contradictory
-
to the word of God. It doesn't matter if it's
-
an angel, it doesn't matter. If it's any mind being,
-
it doesn't matter. If it's a TV creature, it doesn't
-
matter who it is. It puts a holiness preacher if
-
comprints her with a good word of the Lord. It
-
was not a good war. All these people needed to do,
-
says the Wood, And it's true. All these people needed
-
to do to be restored was repent. And Brother Thomas
-
there at you luck, I know what it feels like
-
to repent. And y'all know what you need in order
-
for repentance to work. You need godly sorrow, because it's
-
God they sorrow that worketh repentance. So if you're gonna
-
have God this saw, how will you experience that? By
-
knowing what God said, by knowing that you've offended him,
-
and by hearing the voice of the Lord, these people
-
were being reminded that what you're doing is offending God.
-
Y'all taking advantage of the least, the lost, and the lonely.
-
Y'all feeling these altars and causing them to commit idolatry
-
spiritual don't truth y'all causing this and causing that it's
-
been offensive to God. God doesn't want to track you
-
away by the hand of a heathen king. God doesn't
-
want to lead you into captivity and destroy you by
-
the iron pists of some pagan leader dictator. Oh God
-
wants you to do is humble yourself and to pray.
-
Come on, why is it so hard for people to
-
do what God's told him to do? The solution is simple,
-
pack your bags and leave Lodabar, pack your backs, repent
-
the mistakes that you've been making because it is offensive
-
to God. Do y'all remember one of the cotexts to
-
the message it's okay to leave Lodobar. One of them
-
co texts talked about confessing and admitting that you're in
-
a bad place, that a stagnant place, hit a repulsive place.
-
Come on, brother Nathaniel, hit all over Friday night in
-
a place that's not conducing to spiritual well being. What
-
about that person that does faithfully and loyally attended Beth
-
a hole in his church. But the Holy ghost keeps
-
moving on. Brother samd Or Sister Hill, Brother Nathaniel, sister louting.
-
What about the one or two that God keeps calling
-
out by Jesus? Did Judas? Hey, all you gotta do
-
is repent I mean, it's so simple. It's a simple solution.
-
Me sick and tired of your sin, stop his sinner
-
stubby ways and heed the word of God. God would
-
have his children appreciate his word, his will, and his works.
-
God would have his children appreciate his will, his word,
-
and his words. It's the Lord's doings. It's marvelous in
-
his eyes. Did y'all hear Mike's out there preaching today, Well,
-
what's he preaching. He's preaching a message of repentance. He's
-
telling those that are taken advantage of the least amongst
-
us to do things right. Hey, come on. Nicodemus had
-
no problem with that. Zacchius had no problem with that.
-
But the rich young ruler had a problem selling of
-
his abundance. I want to say that again, the rich
-
young ruler had a problem of giving of his abundance,
-
selling it all and dispersing it among the needy. Oh,
-
come on, there's people in pews in perishes of preachers.
-
All they want is a good word from God. They
-
don't want a squirrel story. They don't want an illustration
-
of what happened to somebody hundred years ago. I want
-
to know the God of yesterday it's still the God
-
of today, and that God is still working. It's a
-
pastoral message. I understand we can't really shout over the
-
top of this message, but I'm a pooling for you
-
again in the altar when since the how are repented
-
of her ways? That said, You know what, I'm not
-
a bad person. I love the Lord. I've been a
-
seeker at truth. I've been searching the scriptures for years.
-
Now I realize this is the land God's bringing me to.
-
My spiritual blinders need to be cast away. You know,
-
it's a difficult thing to overcome spiritual blindness when you
-
have followed blind leaders so long that you yourself had
-
lost the way. It is difficult to overcome spiritual blindness.
-
And since to how I feel like God is dealing
-
with my heart right now on preaching in the near
-
future of overcoming spiritual blindness. Some of these people have
-
been following blind leaders so long that they wouldn't recognize
-
the word of God and put swap them in the faith. Oh,
-
come on, now, these blind leaders have convinced them that
-
anything that speaks of judgment pending, anything that speaks of
-
fear of God, anything that speaks of living righteously is
-
of the devil. Should I keep preaching? I bill it too,
-
Brother tomy Stare is a balling inside of me. You
-
see these preachers like Maca, Jeremiah, Amos. They spoke to
-
things that the Lord put inside of them as oracles.
-
They spoke the word, not of their words, but the word. Holy.
-
Men of God will always speak the words given to
-
them by the Holy Ghost, without fear or favor, without
-
respective person, without approval, affirmation, or applause. They will always
-
speak up and out against injustices, against sin. They will
-
always forewarned those who call themselves the children of God.
-
They will always tell people of pending judgment due to
-
their sins against their God. And tell o man, the
-
power of the Holy Ghost have moved upon our sister
-
a little while ago, and brother Jesse the words that
-
were spoken through the interpretation, We're fearful and frightful words.
-
Look to the one that's looking for a way out.
-
It was a simple solution. Repent and turned from your
-
sin and forsake your sin, and God will receive you.
-
The Man of God will speak the truth in love.
-
But he will always speak the truth, no matter how
-
many times you take him fission, no matter how much
-
money you putting offer. Little Maca, he pays attention. He said,
-
I've got daddy's tied on will lope in my hand.
-
And that's the way he talks. He's an intellectual woman
-
making May God blessing, spiritually, May God blessing. Let him
-
be a doctor or something where it can operate on
-
Papa when the need arises. But these little guys do
-
pay attention. Brother Richard Jacob, Brother Jesse talked about they
-
remember the lyrics of these little songs that they sing
-
in church. He said, Papa, I've got my daddy, Brother
-
Jesse's tithed on a lope in my hand. He said,
-
I put it in that offering basket. He said, Uncle
-
Nate takes it in there as the church a treasurer.
-
He says, he counts it, and he says, then what
-
do we do with it. That little man's a thinker.
-
I didn't have time to preach to him all the
-
things we do with the tithe But this building itself
-
is testimony of that, the Church's son and a half
-
acres that has paid for his testimony is of that.
-
These beautiful pews, all the fresh coats of paint, the
-
new roof system, the fellowship, Paul, it's passion that will
-
begin by the end of this year, Brother Michael, That's
-
where all of that goes. And it's a good cause,
-
it's a good work, it's a good purpose. But not
-
everybody feels that it's good. Not everybody feels that it's
-
a good thing, or a good cause, or a good purpose.
-
I feel at preaching some of you stayed up way
-
too late. Sunday morning is always the toughest time to preach.
-
Most preachers dread preaching on Sunday morning. But I come
-
to tell you, just like I come and tell you
-
last Sunday morning. The words of the Lord are sweet.
-
They're sweeter than that honey in the honey cold the
-
drippings that we receive around here, Oh, thank God for it.
-
A good man whose good steps are ordered by the
-
Lord will preach from the Good Book, and he will
-
preach against injustices and sin our texts that old how
-
that are named the House of Jacob. Is the spirit
-
of the Lord shortened. God's spirit has no run out.
-
God's spirit has not ceased to pull God's spirit has
-
not ceased to draw them out of load the bar.
-
God's spirit has not ceased to pull them out of bowl.
-
App God's spirit has not ceased. But the truth is
-
not everybody is gonna receive the word gladly. Hey, man,
-
are these his doings? Is this God or not? Last
-
Sunday morning, three forty seven in the morning, last night,
-
about one o'clock in the morning, is that God or not?
-
Has God to beg God? There's nothing we can do
-
with this. We had to hold on to it. We
-
can't discard it as though it's a piece of trash.
-
God speaking to us, Brother Nathan, that brought me a
-
word from the Lord from a sister in this building.
-
I believe it was Wednesday night. As I was leaving,
-
he met me at my vehicle. He said, this precious
-
sin of God, that's a prayer warrior said she couldn't
-
get to you. And I appreciated the fact that she
-
was letting me ease out, he said, but she wanted
-
me to share with you something that God gave her.
-
And she told him that God said he will plant
-
where he will plant. Now, if you're a child of God,
-
you don't mind being planted. You don't mind being rooted
-
and grounded when you're not looking for a way out.
-
If you can't say when a preacher's don't preaching that
-
that was a good word. If he preached the message
-
of repentance, that's a good word. That's a good word,
-
as good as if he preaches your pockets full of gold.
-
As some of you, you think the good word is
-
we're gonna have a fellowship till one o'clock in the morning.
-
Now some of you think a good word is, Hey,
-
all of your bills are gonna be paid. You're never
-
gonna get sick again. That's what we're dealing with, preacher men.
-
People are hearing that junk. People are hearing that foolishness.
-
But God said, through his oracle Mica, he said, do
-
not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly.
-
I want you all to catch it. Do not my
-
words do good to them that walk uprightly. Again, the
-
words of Donald J. Trump at the DNC would not
-
be good words because he does not walk in agreement
-
with them and their policies. And that's how we know,
-
brother Philip, the difference between truth and error. When the
-
Word of God is preached to people that really want
-
the truth, like sister Howell, even when they don't understand it,
-
they begin to pray and they begin to feel after God,
-
and they find their way. And then two or three
-
years later she's a song leader when she says, sing
-
with me the song I have found the way. I
-
have found the way. It wasn't that she was wilfully
-
being a devil and bucket and kicking against it. It
-
was that she didn't understand. And the truth is, when
-
somebody does understand, somebody despises the word of God. They
-
know what the Bible said, their grandpa, their uncle, or
-
they were raised under some great preacher, brother Jesse, they
-
foolly know. But then you've got even those people just
-
to howl that come out of nominal churches, and because
-
they were reading the Bible, they put on the mind
-
of Christ and they came out from among them, and
-
they became separated. Some of them in Baptist churches prayed
-
through to the holy ghosts. Some of them begin to
-
believe in inward and outward holiness. Somebody told me this.
-
I did not look at it with my own eyes,
-
but they said, here in our local area, they said,
-
a Pentecostal preacher of a nominal church received word that
-
two men of upright standing would be coming through his area,
-
and they were used to him extending an invitation for
-
them to preach at his church. They said, this man
-
has on more the charismatic, loose living way with his family,
-
with his church, with his personal life, that a lot
-
of things he held to be gospel. Brother as recently
-
as five years ago, definitely seven years ago, said when
-
he heard that that particular minister, the missionary from overseas
-
was going to be in south forda passing by his way,
-
that he threw aside his faded dungarees, and threw aside
-
his casual attire that he normally preaches and pastors in,
-
and he changed the entire atmosphere of that church. They said.
-
He had old slacks like brother Phillips, got on a
-
coat like brother Philip, has on a necktie like brother Philip,
-
has on and maybe even a tipeen, and said he
-
conducted himself seriously in the House of God, all because
-
his longtime friend was coming through the area. Why the change, brother,
-
if it's the truth, why perceive it to be offensive?
-
If you've thrown things that you used to hold a
-
big gospel brother to the wayside? Why change when this
-
brother that does hold somewhat of a standard, this brother
-
that walks up brightly. And then they said the night
-
speaker was the same way, and said differently, by the
-
night service, he'd already be in his dungarees and his
-
casual attire and walking around like it's a rodeo event.
-
But said, even Sunday night, he looked like a pastor.
-
I thought, wow, do you realize what you're saying? He
-
looked like a pastor. Are you saying over the last
-
couple of years he's still aside the appearance of a
-
pastor who's right or wrong. I know the hypocrites not.
-
I know the world that changes is not. I know
-
the chameleon Christian is not right. I know that one
-
that changes their hours appearance because of the preacher coming. Hey,
-
come on, man, I live this way At twenty four
-
hours a day, seven days a week. I'm not saying
-
I don't wear blue jeans when when I come to church.
-
I'm not trying to make a passage statement. Other people
-
of this world. I can a little bit sign raised
-
right here. Was it the word of God or not?
-
Ten years ago? Was it the good word of the
-
Lord or not? Was it a good standard? Did it
-
not have a good purpose? Was there not a good cause?
-
Was there not a good reason why we told our
-
dollars modesty and purity? Was there not a good reason
-
why we told them to stay offered to don the
-
queen Waggins? Was it what a good purpose? I don't
-
have to tell there to keep his hands off my dollar.
-
If I'm not putting your after for the world of
-
the week, I'm golling, have not belong us. Give this place.
-
It's still good.
-
It's not the men that they despise. They said, Jesus,
-
the saints were too hard. It's not supposed to be
-
a good word. This generation has a problem with conviction.
-
They do not like it at all. The very bloom
-
of the atmosphere is charged or electrified with conviction that
-
arrests the imaginations and the hearts and spirits and drives
-
him to an altar repentance that does not even please
-
anybody in our concamp meetings anymore. Very seldom I I've
-
seen it be so that somebody was pleased with the
-
fact that we were convicted God, But do not our
-
words do good to him that walketh uprightly. That's what
-
Sister Wood and some of them said eighteen years ago.
-
They said, Man, we've been here and preaching. There's churches
-
all over, but I'm looking for words from somebody that
-
at least puts stuck in walking uprightly, someone that at
-
least attempts to be good, somebody that at least attempts
-
to live up to the name Christian. First number three
-
of the Sacred Chapter of the Book of Mica tells
-
the reader who is speaking, it's God. The first five
-
words of that verse, Brother ROADU cap just read up. Therefore,
-
thus saith the Lord. I heard God speaking this rvist
-
this morning, just before the preaching, and as God was
-
speaking of two or three in this building, God was
-
speaking through Miaca. Unto the fact sliding people, these people
-
have become rebellious, They have been partakers of the sin
-
of idolatry and the messager Micah was sinned to them
-
to proclaim words of truth. What's the last time I checked,
-
Brother Nathan. No, they were good words. Micah's preaching was
-
saturated with the anointing because he chose to preach the
-
good words of God. Do you see these to be
-
the words of Jeremy Howell and Day? I don't know
-
how you could, because I'm preaching about men of God
-
like Micah and the Aamus and Jesus and Paul and Timothy.
-
How many Christians today are malnourished because they hear very
-
little of the words of the Lord. Their faith is
-
waning because there are few sermons that are faith building
-
because they contain little with any of the words of God.
-
I know from experience. Just about the time we pull
-
out the Church of God, the preachers had gotten to
-
where they were preaching twenty to thirty minutes. And I'm
-
hearing things spoken like this in our holiness movement now.
-
A good preacher ought to be able to deliver everything
-
that he has to say to the people in less
-
than thirty minutes. If he's a good preacher. That's a
-
snarky statement, is it not? That is definitely poking the bear.
-
Is it not a good preacher. I've heard it, I've
-
got clips of it. A good preacher should be able
-
to successfully get his point across in less than thirty minutes.
-
And those sermon nets have more points in them than
-
they ever have, and they're more pointless, and they're less
-
potent and powerful than they've ever been. And Brother Jeremiah,
-
if you'll dissect the sermon, you'll see there's an introduction,
-
five points that are briefly hit, and then a large
-
part of that sermon is an illustration. And sometimes that
-
story or that illustration is fiction. In a prominent church
-
in our movement, a young cemetery. I'm at cemetery, and
-
I'm not against seminary, but sometimes the people that go
-
there are not interested at all in the words of God.
-
A young preacher told one of our preachers, and I'm
-
not against this preaching, but it scared me. So while
-
he was preaching, he would make up stories that would
-
fit the sermon. So let me ask you a questions.
-
It dangerous for a preacher, in order to push his
-
sermon over the top, to start talking about I was
-
one time in the streets of this big city and
-
there was a hobo there, and then to fabricate a
-
story right and fabricated result. I would never ever do that,
-
and I certainly not to this preacher went this far
-
with it. But I would never paint out the result
-
that I wanted. That dead man took the track, shook
-
and tremble and prayed through the salvation. Quit his drinking ways,
-
his rambling ways, his womanizing ways. It's a scary thing
-
to think that there might be a lot of fabricated
-
stories and fabricated illustrations. I wonder if we've.
-
Spent as much time confirming the accuracy of even some
-
of these stories. Are some of these heroes of the faith,
-
even some of the great theologians and legends.
-
Of the Christian faith? How do we know that some
-
of these stories are not embellished or inflated. Historically, it
-
has been proven that most stories, as they progress, they're embellished.
-
If it's the stories of Hucked Vinn, Davy Crockett, or
-
George Mudah or Jeremy how by the time people's done
-
with them, they're embellished. American history is full of embellished
-
stories and illustrations. But this word of God, it's not
-
to appeal to the intellectual only. It is to appeal
-
to the man. And it is plain and it is simple,
-
and it will make you wise unto salvation. I really
-
feel like I'm getting through to somebody right now. I
-
wish y'all would pray for me and then we'll go
-
find something heat. But MICA's preaching was saturated with annoying
-
because he chose to preach the words of God and
-
not his message, Brother steric. Many ministers today or where
-
they are, and they're piled up where they're located because
-
men have chose their placement. Should I say that again?
-
In other words, they've heaped to themselves teachers having itching ears,
-
and these itching ear professor. Christians are expecting their fulp
-
of teers puppeteers to tell the masses what they desire
-
to hear about and from God what they wanna hear.
-
They expect that preacher to save and if that preacher
-
doesn't speak what they wanted them to speak, they fire
-
the preacher. Right And I want you to know, Michael
-
was not a prophet for hire. One of the best
-
decisions I ever made of my ministry when God sent
-
me to label was to refuse to work for hire
-
as a pastor. That accomplished two things. Firstly, it showed
-
the people that I wasn't in it for the money,
-
and so only the good God in behind me. Did
-
y'all hear me? It showed the people that I wasn't
-
in it for the money, right, I was in it
-
for the souls. That's right. Secondly, are you all ready?
-
I determined that I would preach the truth no matter
-
the results of the outcome. If the truth dwindled the
-
church to zero for building to a hundred, I would
-
have to preach the truth in the atmosphere that God provided,
-
no matter the outcome, no matter whether or not they
-
fell on the ears of discernments, fell in the ears
-
of good people or bad people, because in Scripture we
-
find that the seed fell on good ground and not
-
so good ground. We found that some preachers were executed
-
while others were elevated. Some preachers were executed while some
-
were elevated. Ah, And I made up my mind early on,
-
no matter how God's words were received, I will speak
-
them right if it means my elevation or my execution.
-
And it's yet to be seen by some. If I
-
drop dead today. Whether or not they will be able
-
to say that, right, But it's a simple solution. And
-
I'm slowing down right now, just like Brother Nathaniel did
-
Friday night, because I don't know what method of delivery
-
reaches you, right, but you better be reached cause there's
-
a prophet for hire out there. You've probably tuned into
-
him by now. Michael didn't tell his people things like this,
-
God loves you just the way you are, so there's
-
no need to change or he or be delivered. No,
-
the holy ghost in this building told you this morning
-
you better be delivered or else. The holy ghost that
-
loves you who's in this building, They told you your
-
act is about to be over. That the curtains about
-
to be drawn. What Michael was telling these people God's
-
non respect the person Michael was called. Tell these people
-
the game's over, right. Michael wasn't saying something like this,
-
God wants you to be happy in your sin, and
-
he will prosper you in everything you endeavor to do
-
with that. Joel Olsteen smile. Yeah. Michael's message was a
-
message of repentance. He pointed out sin brother sterret so
-
people could pray through he pointed out ugly things. He
-
attempted to change how people felt about their sin, and
-
Apostle Paul done the same thing. He said, shall we
-
continue and sin that grace may abound? God forbid? How
-
shall we that are dead to sin continue living any longer?
-
Therein?
-
How can they continue to be sinners? Brother Starrett called
-
themselves Christians when we're supposed to be dead to sin,
-
and according to the Fossil Paul, we're not supposed to
-
be living sinners. Oh, they don't want to hear that.
-
That's not a good word. I want somebody to tell
-
me how good I am, what a good Christian I am,
-
and how God understands me sinning on a daily basis.
-
No he does not. But Micah, he spoke good words
-
that could have brought fourth true repentance to good people.
-
And second Timothy four and two we find the Apostle
-
Paul instructed Timothy with these words, preach the word, preach
-
the word Jeremy, priest the word Timothy, Preach the word Nathaniel,
-
preach the word erin be incident, in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke,
-
exorbed with all long suffering and doctrine in his first
-
letter to Timothy, Paul warned Timothy and others the false teachers,
-
and again in the third chapter the Second Epistle to Timothy,
-
Paul told Timothy evil men and seducers would wax worse
-
and worse, deceiving and being deceived. I think it was
-
Brother Carlos Berdine that messaged me last week. He said,
-
I listened to that message hunger pangs, and he said
-
great preaching. And I know this is online, so I
-
wouldn't tell a lie great preaching. Well, I don't know
-
that everybody would perceive it to be great preaching. I
-
don't know that everybody would want to hear Sister Wot's
-
comments in Sunday school. I don't know that everybody would
-
want to hear Sister Howell's comments in Sunday School. I
-
don't know that everybody wants to hear what God has
-
to say to them. They act like they do. Could
-
you imagine when these people walk by Michael, they're rich
-
and increase for goods and need nothing, toss of peanuts
-
at the poppers. What you got for me today, preacher man?
-
Repent What you got for me today, Preacher man. There's
-
gonna be a Cadillac in the park, a lot with
-
my name on it. What do you got for me today, preacher,
-
Man Michaels repent repent, a locus munching, honey dipping preacher.
-
What you got for me? Red pet Well, I just
-
come from the temple where your daddy Zacharis was offering sacrifice.
-
He said something about there's another sacrifice. John's out there
-
preaching about the other lamb. Right. I've been an evangelist
-
now when I evangelize, this is how I preached, like
-
you changed. I took you there, right, I walked you
-
through it. Yeah, Zachariis was stuck, y'all. Do know he
-
was a priest, right, he's attending the priestly duties, that's right.
-
But as renegade boy, his Maverick boy, I've got some
-
preachers coming to mind. Mavericks, what a message, Brother Philip Old,
-
Johnny Gabbert, Benny Southerland, great Men of God, Bill Houston,
-
Brother Gabbard, and I I think texts last week. He's
-
got some age on him now, and he said, brother,
-
how it's always good to hear from your brother Jeremy.
-
But brother Richard Jacob, I think about these old men
-
of God, these mavericks of Micah's and the Amoses and
-
the Jeremis and Isaiah's men, that would tell us what
-
God said, what God said. That's why these little pool
-
pit tears and these little preacher boys with their colgate
-
smiles and their well set hair, where their little squirrel
-
and rabbit stories and their embellished stories and illustrations get
-
so intimidated when of John the Baptist comes ripping through
-
their glass doors. I'm telling you, I need a locust
-
munching honting different preacher. Somebody tell me what does say God?
-
Somebody tell me what God Almighty spoke into your heart?
-
Of his word from me? And I just felt a
-
surge of the Holy goods? Did anybody else feel that
-
besides me? I know his Sunday wanting. But if will
-
act upon what we just felt, God will help us.
-
Don't preach at a squirrel story, don't preach a rabbit story.
-
Preach the word, well, what's the word preached the Book
-
of Mica. Preach a message of repentance, Hey Paul told Timothy,
-
Oh God help me Jesus. Evil men and seducers would
-
whack worse and worse is to how deceiving and being
-
deceived by the Jesse. Paul told Timothy that does that
-
sound like good words to you? Brother Philip to Timothy,
-
it is the Man of God has warned me and
-
telling me to expect people like this. We've been telling
-
you young people, expect to counterfeit christ to come in.
-
Expect the counterfeit Christians to come in twenty years from now.
-
But don't allow it. Don't tolerate it. Paul tells Timothy
-
to continue in the things you learned since you were child. Timothy,
-
you know what your mother and grandma taught you. You
-
know the Holy Scripture since you were a child. You
-
know they make you wiles under salvation. You know the
-
scripture that was given was God insparation of God, that
-
it is profitable for doctrine, reprove and correction, for instruction
-
in righteousness, the Word of God for instruction in righteousness.
-
And that's what Amos said. God said, do not my
-
lords do good to them that will walk up right way.
-
You know what God's doing at the Metal Holy Church.
-
He's good to get her those that are willing to
-
walk up rightly. Who's gonna willing the walk? Sir constantly,
-
Who's gonna? Seekers and truth have held it. I understand, Church.
-
Only God's words or good words, and Holy God's words
-
can make a person wise and of salvation. Holy God's
-
words are good words that are inspired and God breaths.
-
Come on now, sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. More
-
to be desired, they than go. You ain't a much
-
fine gold. Sweeter also than honey and the honey comb.
-
Sweet driftings, Preacher, sweet driftings. Him that walketh up rightly,
-
I feel it too, Brother. This sys up to you
-
God as I move. It's a simple solution. All these
-
people needed to do to be restored was repent. Heed
-
the words of the Lord. The voice of the Lord
-
will come. This is what woke me up early this morning.
-
God will speak, the voice of the Lord. God let
-
me speak. Come to the pen to please brother Jesse.
-
I haven't forgot what the Holy Ghost said just before
-
we took a text in Prince. I wish that I
-
could help somebody, And I'll tell you this. Jesus prayed
-
that he could help Judas, cause the only one that
-
could help Judas was that Jesus. Think about that. That's need.
-
It was Judas, the Bible said, for we must first
-
have a will in mind. I'm gonna say it again.
-
The only one that could help Judas was Judash. He
-
had Jesus, but Judas went willing to be helped. And
-
I want to tell you right now, when that curtain
-
has drowned. Nevertheless, the voice of the Lord came God,
-
this is broken, sister, how is the heathen's rage? And
-
as the earth was moved, and as God's people, they
-
that named the name of the Lord, that refused to
-
depart from iniquity were driven away by the Philip at
-
the hands of evil men. Micah and his family could say,
-
the voice of the Lord came, God did speak. Jeremiah
-
collapse and lean on a stone in the land of
-
Palestine and say his work was there, Sister Janet, you
-
old brother Samuel. It's just a brother in the family.
-
They'll say, one day God spoke, it was there. If
-
I had to take a guess, as a pastor who
-
knows his sheep very well, I would say, there's three people.
-
And again for that critics listening, Oh, they've got three
-
people that need prayer. Why don't you focus on your
-
thirty at your church? Friend pray for your pastor that
-
he would focus on the thirty of these prayer there.
-
And I don't say that in a bad spirit. I'm
-
telling you we've got a beautiful church. You're a beautiful
-
church family. But God is speaking to a handful of
-
people today and I'm glad he is. And you know what,
-
Brother tylerant's a good word. As they begin to sing,
-
is there's somebody in this place that would say, preacher,
-
I realized it's It's a simple solution. And I'm willing
-
God still red tent, when is still small for in
-
your time the Lord week, It's came God, It's came stream.
-
Thing you've heard today. You've heard from the Good Book.
-
You've heard from the Good Lord. You've heard from good
-
words of the Good Lord, the word of the Lord.
-
We come.
-
God. There's three people in the altar praying right now.
-
Is there someone else that would say, I'm finished with
-
my act? Because that's what you're doing right. Hardly pretend
-
that you're okay God, anybody else before closes the hurt
-
on your act? Where'd you be? So that they really
-
can come? It's a simple solution called God, come on another?
-
