  1. Lord this morning, I'm not very thankful for our pastor's

  2. fled to being back when.

  3. You miss our pastors like very much, but so thankful

  4. of our musicians home. It's truly not the same without him.

  5. I mentioned of the other service that when you're when

  6. you realize how much everyone pulls and just how much

  7. how the service person goes everything around them more. We

  8. were looking, Jeremiah jap A thirty four, so much of

  9. this startyment said.

  10. This morning again, I'm so thankful.

  11. For what brother Jesse had to say, Brother Nathana, They

  12. truly could have.

  13. Went on with it. I was looking for a year

  14. pastor hearing somebody else this.

  15. Morning, But I'm trying to give give y'all what the

  16. Lord has put on our part. Me this morning, Jeremiah

  17. thirty four be looking at Verses ten and eleven. It says,

  18. now and all the princes and all the people which

  19. had entered into.

  20. The covenant heard that everyone should let his.

  21. Man servant, and everyone is made servant, go free, that

  22. none should serve themselves of them anymore.

  23. Then they obeyed and let them go.

  24. But afterward they turned and cause the servants and the

  25. handmaids whom they had let go free to return and

  26. brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids again

  27. right there at the beginning of verse eleven. But afterward

  28. they turned this morning, if God have helped me, I'd

  29. like to preach you and let it go, and then

  30. leave it alone. Let's prayer this way. Our scripture this

  31. morning comes from an Old Testament book of the Bible, Jeremiah.

  32. This book does bear the name of its author, Jeremiah,

  33. and he was the prophet who.

  34. Had many things to say to the nation of Judah

  35. on behalf of the Lord God.

  36. And for this, because he has so much to say,

  37. he is considered a major prophet. Jeremiah prophesied of pending judgment,

  38. although he also offered hope if the nation would turn

  39. and repent, if the nation would let go of their

  40. sins and then.

  41. Leave them alone.

  42. Two things of importance here this morning, as we dive

  43. into this, to keep in mind are number one, the

  44. events in the Book of Jeremiah are not always in

  45. chronicological order.

  46. I discovered this this year as I began my bibery

  47. and plan. I did a chronicological reading plan.

  48. Because there's many books in the Bible that are happening

  49. at the same time, or there's instances like Jeremia where

  50. things aren't necessarily recorded in the events that had happened

  51. on so and then also number two in our text,

  52. while Jeremiah is preaching through the remnant of Judah, he's

  53. preaching to a group of people that have not yet

  54. been carried.

  55. Away into Babylon.

  56. And at the same time, the sequel as his contemporary,

  57. he's preaching to those in Babylon. So that's just something

  58. to bear in mind here this morning. But thirty four

  59. here is our primary text, and the context of these

  60. two scriptures is that Jeremiah had came, but he warns

  61. King Zedekiah, kingo for Judah, that Babylon is coming, and

  62. Babylon is gonna burn this city, the remaining cities of

  63. defenses that were left after the first invasion. Babylon's coming,

  64. They're gonna burn it, and that no one is gonna escape.

  65. Jeremiah does offer kings Atekiah some hope, he said, he

  66. tells him that he'll die a natural death, he'll die

  67. in captivy, but he will die in natural death. So

  68. King Zadekaia has a little bit of hope and then

  69. as this chapter continues, Babylon does rise up and they

  70. come against Judah and the remaining cities, as I've said,

  71. and that just as Jeremiah had prophesied. But then we

  72. read that just as this city is about to be

  73. taken by the Babylonian's kings Aatekaia and the people of Judah,

  74. they try to make.

  75. A deal with God for generations.

  76. It should not surprise us, because for generations, time after time,

  77. we can see it today. How when something comes against people,

  78. when the enemy rises up in a kind of a sickness,

  79. in the form of a trial, whatever it is, people

  80. will begin to make a deal with God.

  81. And there's so many times we're seeing it where they

  82. may seem to do okay for a space of time,

  83. they may.

  84. Seem to really be sincere and really get a hold

  85. of it and really leave things behind them for a

  86. space of time. But then we'll, as we'll see later,

  87. then they go back to what they used to do.

  88. And it's because it's not in their heart.

  89. And man, if they would have.

  90. Let they they've let it go, but they don't leave it.

  91. It's said they return to it. It's still at arm's length,

  92. and you know, they go back to it, just like

  93. the God returns to its vomit or the peak to

  94. the wall and in the mire.

  95. Right.

  96. Again, this is not the first time that this happened

  97. to God's people. Then we read so many times in

  98. the Old Testament where they go to idolatry, and then

  99. they'll come back to God when when persecution arises, when

  100. their enemies come.

  101. Against them, or they'll go after this and then God says, no, you.

  102. Gotta do it by way, and they'll come back to

  103. God after a trial again after the enemy dries up.

  104. So here are the people. They make a deal with God.

  105. An they make a deal with God and.

  106. They say Lord.

  107. Back in Deuteronomy, back in I believe the first time

  108. was in Exodust, Exous, Viticus, and Deuteronomy. God had told

  109. them that in that year of Jubilee, every seven years

  110. that any of the any of the servants, or any

  111. of the any of the slaves that were of Hebrew,

  112. they were their brothers that they had taken, and that

  113. had said, hey, I'm gonna be.

  114. In servant to to you.

  115. That every seven years they were supposed to free them. However,

  116. we read that this is not was not that they

  117. did not always follow this, and for the iterations they

  118. had failed to do so. So these the people of Judia,

  119. they say, God, we're gonna do it your way. We're

  120. gonna be obedient to you. You want to do this,

  121. And we read as the battelunions. It says here, hellelujah, hell,

  122. it says the It says where the it began to

  123. it began to let up, if you want, the battle

  124. began to let up just a bit.

  125. And the people, instead of going, okay.

  126. We have a chance of victory, we have a chance

  127. of freedom, we have a chance of liberty again, they say, oh,

  128. now that heats up.

  129. A little bit.

  130. Now, thanks were going my way a little bit. Now

  131. I'm comfortable again. So I'm going to go back to

  132. what else I was doing when I was comfortable.

  133. I'm gonna go back to the way that things.

  134. Were before, because it was still at arms reach. So

  135. the people of Junia, they had let their fill of

  136. people go free. At first they freed them from their servitude.

  137. And then, as I said, the siege above on let

  138. up slightly.

  139. Amen.

  140. But then the people went back on their vow. In

  141. verse eighteen, it says here and I will amen, and

  142. I would give the men that have transgressed my covenant,

  143. which have not performed the words of the covenant, wish

  144. they had made before me. When they cut the captain's

  145. wain and passed between the parts.

  146. They're of this Latin part of verse eighteen.

  147. It describes this, this covenant that they made. It describes this,

  148. this religious ceremony, if it would of cutting this captain's

  149. way passing before it, and from my studies, it was

  150. to be if anybody would go back after doing such

  151. an app if anyone ever go.

  152. Back to God would curse them.

  153. They went through all the religious ceremony, They went through

  154. all the form, all the show.

  155. They did it all, and they.

  156. Knew the consequences are falling back on this promise. They

  157. decided to be obedient. But then again they chose their

  158. disobedience and going back.

  159. Then we read that the Babylonians came in and they

  160. took them away this morning.

  161. Since the people would not leave their sin and their disobedience,

  162. they might have let it go for a space of time,

  163. but they would not leave it. They just couldn't seem

  164. to leave it alone. They mad they might have temporarily

  165. let it go, but it was still at their arms reach.

  166. As I'm beginning to think of this going back, we

  167. know the version of the Bibles recorded twice where Jesus

  168. himself said that when a temple, when a vessel has

  169. been cleaned, and the evil spirits have been cast out,

  170. and the evil spirits will go here and there, and

  171. they'll come back, and they'll ring back seven more wicked.

  172. After they've come, they found it swept, garnished. But in

  173. one place it says empty.

  174. God.

  175. I know, after they've done this, this ceremony, after they've

  176. they've paint, the done the show, done the paint, the vows,

  177. made the covenant.

  178. But yet they were they were truly empty of obedience

  179. this morning. So then they went back, then went back

  180. a man once.

  181. As I was praying last night, I was like, Lord,

  182. how do we had the the chapter if you would

  183. had the the general idea of our obedience and then

  184. returning to our disco means to turning on to what

  185. we want to do.

  186. I was like, Lord, how can we're gonna drive this home?

  187. Make this more personal?

  188. And as I was praying, I began to realize that

  189. once you've let go in a sense, you've received salvation.

  190. You've let go of your sin.

  191. God saves you, right, God is God. When God saves us,

  192. will let go of our sin. But we must move

  193. along into sanctification. But we must leave behind the things

  194. of the past and pursue more of God.

  195. You.

  196. So this morning, the pastor said during journal revolt, this

  197. is continued to just ring in.

  198. My ears, and it's been on my heart so much.

  199. As Pastor said during our last revival, delete it, uninstallid, unsubscribed,

  200. with no thought or intention of going back.

  201. We're gonna go.

  202. Into homecoming next Sunday, or willing will be going into

  203. a revival. Even though this is a revival, is a

  204. scheduled revival. It's not spontaneous as the last one. I

  205. feared and this isn't criticizing out of ignorance. I was

  206. once this way, but I fear that there could there

  207. could be people, There could be someone that that's something

  208. that you got rid of in the last revival is

  209. the something that is still gonna hinder you with this

  210. upcoming revival. It's the something that made me hinder your

  211. victory in this morning, It's the something that's made.

  212. Keeping you back from all that God has for you,

  213. because you haven't yet left it behind, and are not

  214. yet leaving it alone this morning. Ecclease ask these five

  215. versus four very familiar says, when now voust.

  216. A vow to God, defer not to pay it, for

  217. he hath thought pleasure in fools, pay that which thou.

  218. Hast vouled better?

  219. Is it that thou shouldst not vow, than that thou

  220. shouldst vowl and pay it not? And Matthew again, very

  221. very similar to this, It says, Matthew five, again have

  222. you not heard that has been said of them in

  223. old time? Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but thou shalt

  224. perform unto the Lord thine oaths.

  225. But I say unto you.

  226. Swear not at all, neither by Heaven, for it is

  227. God's throne, nor by earth for instance, footstore, neither by Jerusalem,

  228. for it's the city of their great king. Neither shalt

  229. thou swear by thy head, because thou can'st not make

  230. one hair white?

  231. Or what? But let your communication be yay, hey, nay, nay,

  232. for whatsoever.

  233. It's more than these cometh of evil when we say

  234. it to God, when we give it to God, when

  235. we let go, and God comes and he does the world. God,

  236. we saw how the Babylonians, the battle seemed to let up,

  237. the attack of the enemy seemed to let up. Truly, God,

  238. he's seen their repentance. But yet they hadn't moved on.

  239. They had it moved past it, and they come back.

  240. And the Bible says, that is of evil. Amen again

  241. the book of Jeremiah. It's not entirely chroniclogtical. So we

  242. read in chapter thirty four. But if we go back

  243. into Jeremiah, chapter twenty one, we read.

  244. And this is how my Bible plan had it play out.

  245. If we go back to chapter twenty.

  246. One, we read where eazeque, where king's Anekiah, he comes

  247. and he says, inquirer, I pray of the Lord for us, for.

  248. Never can answer the king of battle and maketh war

  249. against us.

  250. If so be that one that the Lord will deal

  251. wonder would deal with us according to all his wondrous works,

  252. that he may go up from us, Then say Jeremiah

  253. to them, this show you say to Zedekiah.

  254. TH's say it, the Lord God of Israel, behold, I

  255. will turn back the weapons of war that are in

  256. your hands. Wherewith you fight again, the King of Babon

  257. against the counties which we seech you without walls, and

  258. I will.

  259. Assemble them in the midst of this city, and I

  260. myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand, with

  261. a strong arm.

  262. Even in anger and in fury and in great wrath.

  263. When I read this, this, this, this begin to burden me,

  264. and I begin to think of what it would be

  265. for God to break down the hedge of protection. Not

  266. only break down the hedge of protection, not only say

  267. you've chose this, you won't leave this alone, so I'll

  268. leave you alone. Not just that, but then for him

  269. to come and say, I'm want to fight again. And truly,

  270. at the end of this, brother Sarah talk so well

  271. this morning, Surely at the end of this there's either

  272. a heaven or a hell. There's the heaven that we

  273. talked about. We say it about this morning. We said

  274. we're leaving this world. Amen, But truly if we're if

  275. we choose to not follow in obedience to God and

  276. submission to God, then God will fight against us. But

  277. leaven ours. There's some hope though, that I wanted to

  278. bring to the saints.

  279. I wanted to speak to somebody this morning.

  280. Again, I would have much rather our Pastor have been

  281. here and have been able to preach for us this morning,

  282. or again.

  283. One of the brothers.

  284. I loved everything that was said this morning, but this

  285. morning I just want to speak to somebody and just

  286. some total submission, total obedience to God.

  287. That word obedience or this obedience.

  288. That's what has been bringing on my heart ever since

  289. Pastor asked this stuff to preach this morning before the same.

  290. Even for the one who's struggling. There's hope you dad.

  291. We read in chapter thirty four was our primary verses.

  292. In chapter thirty five, there's the wonderful account of the Recabites.

  293. We read of these people whom their father had commanded

  294. them a certain thing of abstained from alcohol, abstained from wine.

  295. It didn't form abstained from it. This was a fowl,

  296. and this was something that they were to be obedient.

  297. This was a covenant that they had made, if you

  298. would that we shall abstain.

  299. And Jeremiah the Lord say in to the record bites

  300. and Turmi says, hey, come and eat and and enjoy

  301. this wine. And they said we cannot. Basically we that

  302. we've made a covenant and we will not go back

  303. on it. And so God, and in turn God blesses

  304. them for their loyalty to this commandment.

  305. Amen, when we when we let go of things, and

  306. like the Recordites, they left it alone. They wouldn't go back,

  307. they wouldn't taste of it.

  308. Some of them never experienced it, and they would never

  309. experience it. Some of them at some point they had

  310. experienced it.

  311. But they let it go, and they turned to leave

  312. it alone.

  313. Man, and in turn God blessed him.

  314. He said, John had to have the son of break

  315. Cap shall not want for a man to stand.

  316. Before me forever, right down. But I believe it was

  317. Matthew Henry's commentary at the time of his writing. He

  318. said that there was.

  319. Travelers that had been in the area, and the tribe

  320. of Freak the record Bites were still their own tribe

  321. to that.

  322. Day of his writings. I thought that was a base.

  323. When your obedience to God, he will establish you. When

  324. you stay in obedience and submission to God, he will

  325. establish you.

  326. And his promises. A brother Chester would come around, I

  327. wrote down.

  328. Before before this service got going this morning, and and

  329. then brother Phillips saying what he did.

  330. I already had. Now one day, this.

  331. Spiritual body is gonna let go of the natural. Yeah,

  332. we're gonna leave behind our troubles and our cares. The

  333. trumpet is gonna sound the dead and Christ shall rise first,

  334. and those that are alive and remain will be caught up.

  335. We're gonna let go of the life that we've had here,

  336. and we're gonna leave it behind.

  337. They met him, brother Sarah, this first, and I loved

  338. it this morning at Sunday school. And behold, I come quickly.

  339. My reward is with me to give every man according

  340. as his work shall be. Will we be rewarded for

  341. our obedience this morning? Or will we be rewarded for

  342. our disobedience? Jesus says I am Alpha Omega, the beginning

  343. of the end, the first and the last. Blessed are

  344. they that do his commandments, and they that they may

  345. have right to the tree of Us, and they may

  346. enter in through the gates into the city.

  347. To anyone this morning, that as we just go on

  348. with this service and the service tonight, the service win saying,

  349. as we approach.

  350. Revival and approach convention, as we approach the coming of

  351. the Lord, is there anyone if.

  352. Anyone is to hold him on anything in your.

  353. Disobedience, it will keep you grounded. I believe somebody already

  354. said this morning, I want to be ready for liftoff.

  355. I want to be ready to go Amen. And that's

  356. truly how I want to be. I want to be

  357. ready to leave this world. I want to be ready

  358. that when God calls me that there's nothing holding there's

  359. no disobedience holding me back.

  360. And when we come and we pray, as we all

  361. stand here this morning, if there is something, and God.

  362. Begins to move, and God begins to o, because he will.

  363. He is faithful.

  364. He is sure.

  365. Though he will not always shine with the man, he

  366. is sure. He's faithful. Now this morning, let's not go back.

  367. Let's legal where it is and move on to greater

  368. deaths in God's anglification, and just hire.

  369. Policies words to come and pray. God bless your church.

  370. I wouldn't make kid man, and prepare ourselves for coming God.

  371. Trees three.

  372. The liver.

  373. Go to.

  374. Te screeches.

  375. It's fable.

  376. Ride bala so called Chinese Honday. I've been changed. I

  377. ben change.

  378. I have for this moment to and won't go back.

  379. I can't go back to.

  380. The ways to be before your presence came and changed me.

  381. Go back.

  382. I can't go back to the ways to be before

  383. your presence came and change.

  384. Oh God, she.

  385. Say, forgive it.

  386. No more change. I free, but passon.

  387. Right now, always gone two days.

  388. I've been changed, I've been changed.

  389. I've been waiting for this moment to come on it

  390. cat won't go back. I can't go back to the

  391. way it used to be before your presence.

  392. Chang change to be.

  393. I won't go back.

  394. I can't go back two years the way it used

  395. to be before your presence came and changed. I've been changed, free.

  396. Delivered.

  397. I felt too.

  398. Stippable right now is home long in two day day.

  399. I've been changed, I've been chased. I have waited for

  400. this moment to come.

  401. And I will past.

  402. Won't go back.

  403. I can't go back to the way used to be

  404. before your presence then changed me. I won't go back.

  405. I can't go back to the way it used to

  406. be before your presence came and changed me. Oh, I

  407. won't go back. I can't go back to the way

  424. Then you'll have the tree and walk away free. At

  425. a tree
