It's spending honor and privilege to be back here. I
-
was glad to see him familiar faces. Yes, and I
-
appreciate your pastor so so much. Just to give like
-
a little story, Uh, I don't know a pastor touch
-
base with y'all, but uh, February, mother passed away, and
-
uh we've been staying at the hostel center, me and
-
my wife, and you know how it is in the
-
hospital sitting it's hard to get rest. And my older
-
sister said, well, I'll I'll sit with her tonight and
-
y'all go home and rest. And uh so we went
-
along and when he's getting ready for bed, and my
-
sister called me and she said, you got about five
-
minutes to get here. And we live in Maria and
-
the hostile centers in Richmond, so it's about fifteen minutes
-
five And I said, my s I told my sister.
-
I said, there's no way I can get there in time.
-
There's just no way. But we had that way and uh,
-
I could take you back to the back past where
-
he was driving there. And my sister called me and
-
uh she gave word that my past and uh, my
-
wife can testify this. The first person that I called
-
the brother How and he had the words to say
-
to that very moment, and he said, he told me this,
-
and he said, I'm gonna promise you something. And I said,
-
what's that? He said, when I hang up this phone,
-
me and sister How, I will hit her knees. And
-
I'm truly believe that. Ye believe that is when I
-
got to that hostice and I had seen her, her
-
lifeless body there. I know her soul was at but
-
the prayers what put me through. And I appreciate your
-
pastor so much. You didn't just stop there. After she
-
passed and the funeral stuff and going on. He was
-
texting me every day, how you can do with you?
-
Did anything I'm here for he's lost. It goes very hard,
-
and I appreciate him so much, and I appreciate you all.
-
I know y'all pray for us. Before mother passed. I
-
didn't know he was gonna do this. But before she
-
passed and she was at home. She was just trying
-
to rest and she had stopped the chemo and all that,
-
and you know, we was just sitting at home resting.
-
Didn't know. We got a call. Mother She said, guess
-
who's here? And he said who's that. She said, brother
-
house here and he said, we'll be right over. But
-
he flew from here, tucking to Lexington, kentuck Any drove
-
from l Seeton to Maria to be with my mother.
-
And in your comm trouble. What a pastor that you want?
-
I tell him to the time after time, I say,
-
you're a pastor of a pastor fastial way, you know.
-
And then we've been we've been seeking God, trying to
-
be given down here and hopefully the world will work
-
out for this. Mean, I know it was all that
-
I guess now I did want to give honor to uh.
-
I know he's talking about you know whether brother how
-
the brother Justin was talking about mother how. Yeah, you've
-
got a good assistant pastor as well, you got a
-
good assistant pastor. You know when when pastor here, when
-
he needs help, brother justice help him, he can give
-
him strength. Yes, And I believe we'd give honor honors
-
due I think a lot of in the dustiness. Well yeah,
-
oh alright, I'll try to keep this message. We've we've
-
enjoyed our trip down here, and we would went to
-
see the world. I'll tell you we we went to
-
the beach yesterday, and there's so much saying in our
-
vehicle problem or how did we get out? This guy
-
had took shower after I got out of a beach
-
there and uh, I'm still finding there uh, or saying
-
coming off me somehow. I don't know how that chest
-
where not used to that to talk about interested mud
-
and all that. Uh, alright, took 'em after you. The
-
fourteenth chapter four took the chapter start with the twenty
-
second verse. This message really struck on my word. Uh,
-
we bring in the city yard and at how ask
-
me to preach you? Wrat about it, mister good in
-
what directions as you or come to my mind? Fourteenth
-
chapter Matthew twenty second verse and straight the way. Jesus
-
constrained his disciples to get into a ship and to
-
go before him onto the other side, while he sent
-
the multitudes away. Well, and when he had sent the
-
multitudes away, he went up to the mountain of Park
-
to pray. When the evening was come, he was there alone.
-
But the ship was now in the midst of the sea,
-
tossed with waves, for the wind was contrary. And in
-
the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went into them
-
walking on the sea. And the disciples saw him walking
-
on the sea. They were troubling, saying it as a spirit.
-
And they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spakeing them, saying,
-
big good year. If it is I be not afraid.
-
Peter answered a him and said, Lord, if if thou be,
-
bid me to come unto the unto the water. And
-
he said come. And when Peter was coming down out
-
of the ship, he walked on the water to go
-
to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boys, he
-
was afraid and began to see and cried, say Lord, sayan,
-
And Jesus drached forth his hand and caught him and
-
said up them, oh he, oh thou little faith, where
-
didst thou doubt? And then when they're coming to the
-
ship where they come into the ship, the wind seized.
-
Then they were in the ship, came and worshiped him, saying,
-
of truth, thou art the son of God. And they
-
were gone over and came into the land of gets
-
in at you can maybe seated there walk that first
-
there thirty four and says. And when they were gone
-
over they came into the land of gets side senter
-
out I hope I pressed that right, and then going
-
to help me, I'd like to preach on the other
-
side of the storm. Yeah, they the other side of
-
the storms, and Discipples was out in the ship and
-
Jesus was on the mountain praying, and no doubt, the
-
storm started picking up and they was in the middle
-
of the ship, in the middle of this storm, and
-
the rain and water and wind was beating upon that
-
ship and they were scared. They was terrified. But then
-
they seen Jesus woking on the water too, and they
-
thought maybe it was a spirit, But little do they
-
know it was the key ready to control the storm.
-
But the best part about this was they made it
-
on the other side. No matter what you're facing in
-
this lifetime, there is another side of this storm. When
-
you feel like your ship is cost to and fro,
-
there is another side of this. There is a land
-
of milk and honey. There is a land of blessings
-
and joy. You may be going through a lot of
-
things in your life, but just trust that knowing and
-
know that God is there with you walking every step
-
of the way. There's been times in my life, brothers
-
and sisters that I need God and I know that
-
he's been right there walking the side Pete. When the
-
wind and the storm started to beat able my ship
-
and I didn't know what I was gonna do, God
-
just said, peace, be still, Peace be still. That's the
-
kind of God that I served in the middle of
-
the storm. He's right there walking with me. One powerful
-
God that we serve today. When God says, idiot, Jesus
-
knew the storm was coming. He knew it before him
-
was even with my truth. He knew it was gonna
-
hit that ship. He knew exactly. That's how God he is.
-
He knows every storm that's gonna come in your life.
-
And he's just while he's just standing.
-
Right the side.
-
Hey, I'm right here. Whenever you need me, I'm right here.
-
I'm right here. Brother. Justahu is so thankful that whenever
-
the storms of my life, I feel like, well, where
-
are you? He's right here. He's right there where the
-
storm comes. Who God is? Have you recall me? I said?
-
Who he is? Who is? He is Doctor, the finisher
-
of our faith. He is the Lord of lords and
-
kings of kings. He is Jehovah, child of Jehovah, DC.
-
Jehomah Slone that's the god of God that I serve.
-
I don't serve non't dead God. Other justin I don't
-
give you anymore soan no son God. But I can
-
give you out at all to.
-
A prayer and cry out to my God, and he
-
answers my prayer. That's the kind of God that I
-
serve today. Whenever I get loan and spirit, God is
-
right there walking in the sun of me.
-
He said, I will go all the way given until
-
the end of the world. What I promised today the way, Oh,
-
I have a God that serves, I said, what's over
-
these and protects us and gives us strength of the
-
true times.
-
Staying afloat. When Peter was walking on the water to Jesus,
-
the Bible says that he took his his eyes on foot.
-
He started looking round at the troubles and the and
-
the wind and all the storms. That was a rain
-
that was raising, and he began to see, let me
-
tell you, when we start looking around everything else, and
-
he turned off Jesus as when we began to seek
-
and we cry out, Lord helpless, I'm stinking it's because
-
we looked around in all the troubles that's facing us.
-
But if we could just keep her eyes on him,
-
He'll help the strop. He'll lift this up. He'll give
-
us the strip that we need. Brother justin thank God,
-
everything is turned upside down. Brothers, they was tolling in
-
this ship. They was handling a normal day, and then
-
all of sudden it changed their world. Footed up side
-
to him, they him know what they was going to do.
-
But little did they know Jesus was walking to of them.
-
He know the exact moment when will walk on the
-
sea to control that story. He know the exact moment
-
whenever their faith was at the end of their life
-
and say I don't know what we're gonna do. We're
-
not gonna make it, that's when he showed up. Whenever
-
you're going through life and you have Charles and you're
-
going I just I can't make it. I can't do this,
-
that's when Jesus likes to show up and says, hey,
-
you can't make this. You can't do this, you can't
-
go through this. God is right real, walking with you
-
every step of the way. I mean, he's hell my
-
mother me, my mother was close. I'm close. I was
-
closer to my mother than I am my father and
-
I know that they sound bad, but it's the truth, Brother, Justin.
-
I was close to her, and it rocked my ship
-
whenever she passed. And if it wasn't for God, I
-
know what I would have done. But God walk with me.
-
My world was upside down, but the Lord was right
-
there with it. Have you ever questioned this? Have you
-
ever heard somebody say this? What is the point of Holy?
-
What is the point of Hodi homes Is? Somebody give
-
me Isaiah forty three to read it for me. Friend.
-
But while they're getting that, have you ever heard anybody
-
say that, what's the point? What's the point? I'm going
-
through this, I'm going through that. What's the point? But
-
God has this perfect plan for you. You got I
-
will be with thee through the rivers they shall knock
-
overthrow these walkers through the fire. Thou shalt not bed
-
against you. What a promise. Then he'll go with you
-
through the fire, through the water. He gets you. Glad
-
when any of the storms come upon you, he'll go
-
with you. He'll go with you. You can make it through.
-
You can make it through the other side of this
-
that that ship was tossed to and fro And then
-
disciples didn't know what was happening on the other side
-
of Little did they know they would get off that
-
ship and go to another city of the ministry. God
-
is calling you out of this storm. He's telling you,
-
out of this storm. There's going to be a town
-
the ministry. That's what'll be a time of worship, and
-
there's gonna be a time of riche asy. You're gonna
-
make it through it. You're gonna make it through it.
-
In the middle in July nineteen forty two, there was
-
a submarine and Maryland coached and all of a sudden,
-
the machines and things, the sensors and started shutting down,
-
and the submarine was started to take in water. And
-
this scuba diver was swimming around and he seen the
-
suit the submarine, and he's seen people beating on the windows.
-
So he swimmed up to the submarine and there was
-
a man he pointed at the at the middle part
-
of the submarine that was inside and the submarine put
-
his or the su stupa over put his ear to
-
the submarine and the men and the inside the submarine
-
was knocking on the submarine in Morse code, and the
-
scuba diater told him, the news team there or whenever
-
anything found out the situation. He said in the horse code,
-
the man was saying, is there any hope? Is there
-
any hope? Then being died at this submarine wishing there
-
was hope. But I'm here to tell you that there
-
is hopeing Jesus, There is hoping Jesus. You may look
-
at it. There any hope, there's any hope that I
-
want to get through this star. And Jesus says, yes,
-
there is hoping me. There is hoping me. Looking out
-
yesterday because the kids was playing in the water at
-
the beach, I was just sitting there and I started
-
to look at the beauty of that area, looking around
-
at the trees and looking at the water. And God
-
spoke to me, and still strong, boys, He said, do
-
you think this is beautiful? Wait? Do you make it
-
to heaven world? There's another side of this world. There
-
is a place of no more troubles. The bottle says,
-
all the sorrows, the pain, the former things that passed away,
-
they all all things become better. There's no nonna be
-
more sorrow in heaven. There's not gonna be no kids.
-
We're not gonna have no more great yards. There ain't
-
gonna be no more sickness.
-
Let me tell you, it's gonna be a land of
-
joy and peace after this. There's no other side of this.
-
It more this begin You o serving God.
-
And people going through There's another side of this.
-
You may be going through a lot today, but know
-
that there is another side of this. You maybe pays
-
a trial, the tribulations, Just know that there is another
-
side of.
-
This, a land of milk and honey. I'm enjoying peace everlasting.
-
That's kind of God that we sir.
-
Godrey built their faith by showing them his true power.
-
He was in the middle of the ship, no doubt
-
I could. I know. We don't say that to the justice.
-
But maybe some of them had probably question where's Jesus at? Now,
-
where's he at? Why ain't he helping us? Where's he at?
-
But he walked up to them. He restored their faith.
-
Adrian Rogers said, the faith that hasn't been tested can't
-
be trusted. Oh, if you'll be going through, your faith
-
gets tried. But if you'll make it through, you'll trusted.
-
There's been times that I face things and then I
-
go back and remember things that I went through and
-
if I tell myself, if I made it through, that
-
I can think it through. This what a God we serve.
-
And in the moment, in the moment, are we going
-
to accept defeat? What are we going to accept? Jesus,
-
It's not time to accept defeat. You may feel I
-
just don't know what I want to do. Jesus knows it.
-
Jesus knows. I got a privilege other day go out
-
with brother Justin and seeing them men and women on
-
the street, and that'll umble yet that I'll go you
-
real quick, just telling my children in the car I
-
was driving back to our place, say, I said, that
-
could be us at any moment, could be us at
-
any moment. Just be grateful that the Lord hasn't it
-
all seeing eye that people are down on the walk,
-
and then they truly need Jesus in the life. They
-
would just get a hold of you. God can work miracles.
-
He's a miracle working God. Yeah, mirable working God. I
-
was glad to gold with somebody today and turned over
-
to the brothers a few minutes. But I do want
-
to appreciate you all. It's a great honor to come
-
here and reach you. I do miss your pastor. Uh,
-
he's just got a good spirit. When he come up
-
there in Kentucky, he visited us, and you just stir.
-
He just had a good spirit. And I will say
-
this before I turn it over my mother. And when
-
we come back last time, we come down to here
-
and think with my mother. She told me on the
-
way home, she said, there's just something about that church.
-
I've never felt the spirit of God like I've never
-
felt besides that church. And my mother, when she was younger,
-
she went to church all over. She could visit a
-
lot of churches. She had a home church, but she
-
would visit all over. But she said, I'll entr ever
-
felt the spirit of God. I got dead. The failed
-
and I saddened to say this. She had during her time,
-
she had a lot of hurt. There a lot of
-
people that had hurt her church, even when she was
-
on her last days. Some family and some friends, and
-
they they claimed to be friends us To put that,
-
lady said some things to her that truly troubled her,
-
and she was she was anxious when she walked to
-
these doors first time. She was nervous. But she told me,
-
she said, don them. People didn't even know me and
-
they came and hugged me and told me that they
-
loved me. And they said she said, I you know
-
some people will to say that, she said, but I
-
n I felt, Yeah, I felt it. There's a difference
-
in that. And she said I never felt love ever
-
in any church. So I said that to say this,
-
thank you, thank you for showing kindness and love for
-
my mother in her darkest days. She told me, I'm sorry, brothers,
-
I'm trying to hate us back over. But in her
-
last days, she said, I sure wish you I had
-
to strength, we would just back up and moved down there.
-
That's so much she y'all meant to her. When you know,
-
I get tickled. I got tickled at her, and I'm
-
not talking to be all Saturday there. She she called me,
-
and whenever you guys go by and whistlers found out,
-
go ahead mixt with her. Now. I thought I had
-
told her, but I couldn't remember if I did or done.
-
She called me. She and her mind was slipping sometimes.
-
She called me. She said, hey, you know the business
-
out of the mixt on her? And I said, yeah,
-
she's doing it. Let's listen, and she she tell me,
-
all listen you should have listened to pastor he but
-
it was wonderful. It fed my soul. She couldn't get
-
to church. The pastor hell. Pastor Hell fed her. You
-
want a passion that you all have, I'm sorry. Brother.
-
Another thing that touched me my dad. He's so hard
-
against God. He has a lot of or a lot
-
of against dog that puts that way, and he has
-
a lot of motions against Yeah, that's good, But him
-
and my mother would sit there in their living rooms
-
and put on next thing, and my dad would have
-
tears rolling down in his eyes when it was pastor
-
preach and I'd go visit, and my dad he rarely
-
says anything about church fathers rarely. He looked over right
-
and he said, you know all that brother in Hounds
-
and he gets there, he said, that's a man of
-
God right there. You didn't just leave a mark on
-
my mother, but you did on my dad as well.
-
When when y'all's pastor brother Hound, whenever he came to
-
visit and he visited mam, he left going back over
-
a couple of days and talked to that and he said, you.
-
Know what, he said, that man walk.
-
That a man from southern Florida would come to Kentucky
-
just to visit your mom to pray for her. And
-
he said, there he is still true Christians. That's what
-
a testimony, you know. For the hell didn't have to
-
do that. He didn't have to do that too, but
-
he did. He wasn't selfish about it. He didn't say
-
he was too busy. He told me, he said, I
-
was in prayer and he said, God told me to
-
go to Kentucky to pray for your mom.
-
And you do not know how much that God to you.
-
You know, I have a good pastor, good good, treat.
-
Him good, take care of him. You never know what
-
you had next to No, I don't mean that before.
-
I don't mean that in a bad way. A lot
-
of people don't have pastors like you. I'll just put
-
it that, sleep with it. But another side of this,
-
whenever you're facing there's another side, enjoying peace.
-
I appreciate your time, ay man, but cable come give
-
us a song. I blie thank the Lord for the
-
Word of God.
-
This morning. I mean, let's stand and then we'll work
-
towards and antiver. We thank God for the word, Amen.
-
Prees Godsalm sixteen cent preserve me, Old God. For indeed
-
do I put my trust, He'll do to trust this morning,
-
let's come and pray. Man, if you're in the middle
-
of something, A man I know a man who can,
-
don't you a man that will preserve you and bring
-
you to the other side. Amen, let's pour it out
-
and full of.
-
The Lord the man. Enjoy your time with the Lord
-
this morning. Let's talk to him for a while. Amen.
-
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks here,
-
let's think you that for good. Yeah. Thirty
